Brown, Bill Withers, B.B. King,
Miriam Akiba. All the biggest black

I ain't trying to be Donkey of the Day no more.
They should be embarrassed by what they already did.
I'm not making these people do these things.
I called Donkey of the Day, and it really caught me off guard.
Damn, Charlemagne, who got the Donkey of the Day today?
Well, just hilarious.
Hold on, let me plug my headphone.
Hold on.
Okay.
Donkey of the day for
monday october 30th goes to the milwaukee bucks as a staff record label and mother effing crew
i'm talking about the whole organization okay needs to come to the front of the congregation
we'd like to have a word with him i'm gonna be honest with you man uh my energy is off this
morning i'm tired it's monday it's raining outside and it's just one of those mornings
when you don't want to be bothered with foolishness and flavor slave singing the national anthem is foolishness okay and you can't
be upset with flavor slave in this situation because slave said he was just checking something
off his bucket list i'm not mad at flavor slave dropping the clues bomb flavor okay what is he
supposed to say no when asked to sing the national anthem i mean why wouldn't he what does he have to
lose he's flavor slave one of the top five most popular hip hop personalities of all time.
Flav has made a living off being himself for over 36 years.
So if you want to pay him to come perform the national anthem, I'm not mad at it.
OK, I'm not mad at Flavor Flav.
I'm mad at the Milwaukee Bucks, OK, for making the choice to have Flavor Flav come perform.
Would you like to hear it? Yes.
Well, if you would like to hear it, here it go.
Oh, say
can you
see
by
the dawn's
early
light
Okay. What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes And bright stars
Through the perilous fight Let's fight for the ramparts we watched.
We're still gallantly streaming.
Turn it up, Flav.
And the rocket's red glare. All right. I love it. Above us, sting in their Move to the night that our flag was still there.
All right, Flav.
Oh, say does that star-sp Banner yet wave.
Let Flav go.
Come on, Flav. At the home of the brave
Big E for effort.
Of the brave
It's over.
Of the brave
Big E for effort.
Can't do it.
Yeah, boy, at the end.
Big E for effort, okay? But Milwaukee B, boy, at the end. Big E for effort, okay?
But Milwaukee Bucks, y'all trying to be funny.
All right, somebody in that organization has a sense of humor, all right?
Did Flav have to audition?
All right, Chuck D didn't even let Flav sing on Public Enemy songs,
so why would the Bucks think it was okay to do the national anthem, all right?
There was nobody else available.
Like, who canceled last minute?
All the singers on the planet that can actually sing,
and somebody in the bucks
front office said you know who would be great to get flavor flame okay all the singers from
milwaukee y'all could have called eric bonet uh tank rico love y'all could have called k camp
but no y'all was just trying to go viral this was such an unserious decision okay i know we look
like a joke to other countries all right we the executive producer, celebrity apprentice as president.
We had Dennis Rodman as an ambassador to the U.S.
negotiating a peace deal with North Korea.
And now Flavor Flav doing the national anthem.
Flavor wore a number 59 jersey.
You know why he wore the number 59 jersey?
No.
To honor the year he was born, 1959.
Four years before MLK Jr.'s I Have a Dream speech.
Not lost on me that when Flavor was born, when Flavor was a child, our nation was nowhere near being the land of the free for black people.
But I digress.
Look, I believe anyone who loves this country should sing the national anthem.
But I believe that only those of us who love this country and those of us who can actually sing should be allowed to sing the national anthem publicly at sporting events and
such okay now you know who i blame for this more than the milwaukee bucks then fergie why this is
fergie's fault okay just like every celebrity thought they could be president after trump
became president it's the same thing any and every celebrity thinks they can sing the national anthem
after hearing fergie do you need a reminder? Yes.
Well, here you go.
Oh, say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave For the land of the free
And the home of the rain
Flav was better.
That anthem, Fergie's anthem feels like
how this Monday morning feels.
It sounds how this Monday morning feels right now.
We're going to have to start judging this country by how folks
sing the national anthem, man. Flav of Flav
was definitely better than Fergie. Yes.
100% better than Fergie. But if the bar that Fergie set is in hell,
is it even a bar?
No.
Please give the Milwaukee Bucks
the sweet sounds of the Hamiltons.
Oh, now you are the donkey of the day.
You are the donkey of the day
Yee-haw
I disagree. I think Flavor did his thing.
Well, if it's one thing that we learned about you this year,
you make poor decisions, poor choices.
So, I mean, it doesn't surprise me that you would think that.
Well, salute to Flavor Flav.
Thank you, Flavor Flav.
He actually gave us
one of his clocks
that is hanging
in our Breakfast Club studios.
He did.
He gave us that
at the iHeart Music Festival.
He sure did.
And BET,
we'll see you guys tomorrow.
Peace, BET.
Everybody else,
let's open up the phone lines.
800-585-1051.
The question is,
would you date somebody
with a crazy ex
Now this conversation
Comes from
Will Smith
When he was talking about
How he wanted to take
Pep out on a date
But he was scared
Of Tretch
Let's hear the audio
We went on a date
One time
I know exactly what happened
What happened
Another one
Yeah no
We allowed to talk about it
Cause yeah
So we mature
We ain't do nothing
We just
We just...
Okay, you were very...
And it was LA, right?
I feel like we went for a drive.
We did, but this was one that you won and you beat us out.
And then after the war, you were so happy.
You was like, let's go celebrate.
And then we were out and you saw a homeless person.
And you gave the homeless person $100.
And it was so nice.
And then we went to the Hollywood sign.
Yeah, because I think you and Tretch have been broke up for a minute.
So in my mind, when I was like, I was trying to spit my game, but I didn't really have nothing.
Because my concern was that I was going to get killed.
That was a legit concern.
So that is the question.
800-585-1051.
Would you date somebody with a crazy
ex? Ladies, if you
know your man or the guy that you want to date,
you know his ex is crazy, you know she's going to pop up at your
house, you know she's going to flatten your ties, you don't want that
drama. Would you still date him? Fellas the same.
If the love ain't worth dying for, is it
even love? You're crazy. Let's
discuss when we come back. 800-585-1051.
It's The Breakfast Club.
