Donkey of the day right there.
It's a breakfast club, bitches.
You can call me the donkey of the day, but like, I mean no harm.
Yes, donkey of the day for Monday, September 26th
goes to Darryl Robert Harrison.
He is 44 years old, and he was convicted of fraud
after pretending to be a prince from Ghana.
Apologies, let me call him by his proper title.
Prince Darryl R. Atipul and Prophet Darryl R. Atipul.
Okay, for several years, he claimed to be a minister
alongside his stepfather at powerhouse of prayer ministries the so-called prince has conned 14
people out of money that totaled over eight hundred thousand dollars okay several years
what does that mean seven exactly uh 14 people so that's about a two sucker a year average
okay harrison was convicted of mail and wire fraud, conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud,
and witness tampering.
According to court documents from the Department of Justice,
Harrison deceived the victims into thinking
they were investing into African trucking and mining companies
with whom he had direct connections to.
The statement said many of the victims
who were expecting to receive up to 33%
on their investments of Harrison's scheme
were a part of the powerhouse of prayer ministries.
Boy, oh boy, oh boy.
Y'all be using the church for every little scam, huh?
The ministry financially supports religious services in various church facilities
along with private residencies throughout the greater Dayton area.
Now, this scam right here.
Prince Atthapol exploited the victims to fund personal expenses,
including rent
for a house in Colorado, luxury vehicle purchases and rentals, and vacation accommodations. You know,
there is a part of me that feels like if folks fall for these types of scams, folks like Daryl
should be able to keep the money. Yes, it's unethical. Yes, it's wrong. But at some point,
there has to be accountability from the people who are so quick to give up this bread Like why would a prince of a royal African Kingdom need your financial assistance?
Even if your knowledge of royal African Kingdom doesn't go any further than Wakanda and Zamunda
You should know Prince T'Challa or Prince Hakeem would not need your money
Same with people who you know get got on IG trying to turn seven into 7,000. Or people who get DMs from Rihanna, Beyonce, Michael Jackson asking for money.
If Michael Jackson hits you on the DM and asks for money and you give it to him,
the person pretending to be Michael Jackson is a very, very, very, very, very small part of the problem.
Okay, the rest is on you.
And I envy you people.
I envy you because i got trust issues
all right this is something i've been exploring in therapy for a long time and my trust issues
prevent me from trusting in a lot of people and things but i will let my guard down for certain
things but never ever ever ever ever ever would i let my guard down enough to trust the african
prince soliciting money from me via email now in case you're wondering, prosecutors said Harrison failed
to provide investors with interest payments, routinely terminated all communications with
investors, ignored individual investor inquiries, you think, and ignored demands from investors
seeking the return of investment monies. Well, of course he did. What the hell do we have to talk
about after I done got over on you? What do you expect? A courtesy voice message informing you
that you are the latest victim of a scam?
Would that make you feel better?
Look, man, I can't stand folks who prey on people's need to believe, especially when
they use the church.
We know folks want quick, rich schemes.
But come on, man.
When something is too good to be true, it absolutely usually is.
Please give Daryl Robert Harrison the sweet sounds of the hammer tones.
You are the donkey of the day.
You are the donkey of the day.
He's looking at 20 years, by the way.
20 years.
Wow.
All right.
Well, thank you for that donkey of the day.
Now, when we come back, Adochi will be joining us.
Okay.
Now, Adochi signed to TDE.
She performed at the BET Awards, right?
Killed it?
That's when she killed it?
It's the BET Awards?
Yeah, she did.
She's amazing.
Yeah, she killed it. So we're going to talk to her when we come back.
So don't move.
It's the breakfast club.
Good morning.
Donkey.
Today is brought to you by the law office of Michael S.
Laminsoff.
Don't be a donkey.
Dial pound two 50 on yourself and say the bull.
If you've been hurt in a construction accident,
that's pound two five.
Oh,
