It's surprisingly easy.

Or maybe not.
No country willingly gives up their territory.

Good morning, USA!
Hello. Hey, fam.
Hey, fam, it's Wednesday!
Guess what day it is! Guess what day it is!
Pop day?
That's right, it's Wednesday. It's middle of the week.
Good morning to ya!
I had to pause. I wasn't sure if Charlamagne's coming today or not.
Oh, I don't know. I don't know if he's, uh,
if he broadcasted from the crib or he's coming in.
I'm not sure. But come sure. No one tells us anything.
Good money. We don't know what's going on.
But happy Wednesday!
Yes, it's Wednesday. Middle of the
week. I was out in Atlantic City
last night. They had a
realtors, a big real estate
realtors convention in New Jersey
yesterday. They do it every year. It's huge.
They get about, I would say
about maybe 5,000 to
10,000 realtors that come in and
they just politic,
exchange cards, talk about different
ways to sell homes better and
everything. So I DJ'd for all
the realtors. So shout to everybody out in
Atlantic City, all the realtors. We were talking real estate
all day yesterday. Is it just
for that area or is it for everywhere? Everybody.
There was people from everywhere.
So it was pretty cool.
It was a lot of fun.
I had the DJ.
It was,
the party I did
was a huge crossover party.
So, you know,
when I walked in,
it was kind of like,
uh-oh.
But I had to say,
Ye kind of saved me.
I ain't even gonna lie.
Long time ago,
Ye made a crate in my,
in my laptop, right?
Ye Mix!
Yeah, and I call it,
this is gonna sound funny. I call it, this is going to sound funny,
I call it
Songs White People Love.
And I had like
Guns N' Roses,
Jessie's Girl.
You had some
Def Leppard in there.
I definitely had stuff
I don't know, but I just...
You had Tainted Love.
All that.
Sometimes I feel
I had no idea
what none of those songs were.
Then I had a Spanish crate
that I had to play a bunch of Spanish music.
I didn't know none of that stuff either.
I was just playing it.
But thank God it worked.
It was rocking last night.
Maybe they were just drunk.
Yeah, sometimes if you drink a lot, you like anything.
Yeah, so they were rocking.
So shout out to all the realtors and New World Title for bringing me down to Atlantic City.
Had a lot of fun last night.

Yeah, when Mendeecee and Yandy got into that whole thing on TV where she asked him,
would you have held me down if I went to jail?
And he was like, I don't know.
She was the actual life coach doing the interview during that time.
You love to gossip.
I'm just putting it so people can remember.
That's how they can remember.
Okay.
All right, well, let's get the show cracking.
Front page news, what are we talking about?
Yes, police in Texas are looking for a suspect.
There was a mall shooting that left one person injured.
Imagine you're shopping and you have to shelter in place.
Goodness gracious.
We never have no positive news.
Baby was born in the mall.
Baby was born.
Baby was born.
Goodness.
Babies are born every second, B.
All right.
All right.
Well, we'll get to that next.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Hey.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are the Breakfast Club.
Let's get some front page news. All right, where we starting, Yeezy? Well, police in Texas are
looking for a suspect after one person was shot at a mall in Killeen. And this happened yesterday
evening. Shoppers had to shelter in place. Police got a call around 7.17 p.m.
There was a disturbance at the mall.
They were told one person had been shot.
There's surveillance photos that were issued by the police.
The suspect is seen wearing a white hat and a white face mask.
They said people were sheltering in place last night around 9 p.m.
There were phone calls from employees and people at the mall who just basically had to stay there.
That got to be scary, Christmas shopping and all of a sudden shelter in place.
You know, you hear a gunshot or they tell you something, everybody gets scared now.
They don't know if it's an active shooter, if it's a beef or somebody just trying to kill.
And then you got to stay in the mall.
Anybody, yeah.
And then you got to stay in the mall and you don't know what's going on.
That's scary as hell.
The injured person was airlifted to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
But there was a lot of chaos in the mall at the time of the shooting.
And that's when they sheltered that.
That's when they issued that shelter in place order.
And if you don't know what happened, you're in a whole nother store.
And then they lock everything down and tell you you can't leave.
Yeah, you scared.
And especially if you go to the mall, like I go to the mall sometimes.
And, you know, my older kids will go one way.
I'll go the other way.
And then they shelter in place.
I got to shelter me in place.
The main thing you want to do is get out.
Yeah, I got to find my kids. Or my wife going to one store, you can't shelter me in place. I got to find my kids. Because the main thing you want to do is get out. Yeah, I got to find my kids.
Or if my wife go in one store, I go in another store.
Nah, I got to find my wife.
All right, now, Christmas trees, are you getting one?
I have mine up already.
Okay.
And I've never had a real tree.
Never, ever.
Always a fake tree.
So did you know that roughly 40% of the nation's Christmas tree supply comes from one place?
Yeah, I heard.
And I heard there's a shortage right now.
From Oregon? Yeah, there's a shortage right now. From Oregon?
Yeah, there's a shortage right now.
So they're struggling after trees were burned by the heat.
There's a dwindling supply and an increase in prices as well.
So just giving you all the heads up in case you're trying to get your Christmas tree
and you're wondering what's going on.
Yeah, I never had a real tree for two reasons.
One, I always used to see the videos of the trees catching on fire,
so my parents never wanted one.
And also, I mean, we have a tree,
and then we could use that tree for 10, 12 years.
So we just kept the tree.
My dad gets a tree and then returns it.
Yo, man.
I think it's at, like, Home Depot you could do that or something.
Yo, Papa Yee is wild.
My dad do not play.
He will save a dollar.
All right, and six states right now account for more than half
of the country's recent COVID hospitalizations.
Those are Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, and Illinois.
So while these states make up 35% of the population among states with increasing COVID hospitalizations,
they make up 60% of the added beds.
And in Michigan, they have the highest share of new hospitalizations when adjusted for population.
They said three out of four COVID patients in Michigan are unvaccinated,
according to a public information officer at the Michigan Department of Health.
Unvaccinated people make up 87% of COVID patients who are in ICU in the state.
And they said that we shouldn't be as worried about the Omicron variant.
We should be more worried about the Delta variant, right?
Well, Delta variant still makes up over 99% of the cases right now.
So Omicron is new, but they are saying that it's more highly transmissible, but not as dangerous.
And why they shut down the whole country and traveling back and forth is not as dangerous.
Well, I think they still don't want you to get it.
Because you got to think right now is the time people are getting the flu.
They're getting sick for other reasons.
And it's still too early to tell.
So you would rather make sure that you get it under control than not.
Okay.
And that is your front page news.
All right.
Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you're upset, you need to vent, hit us up right now.
Phone lines are wide open.
Again, the number is 800-585-1051.

Your fool has officially been kicked.
My name's Drop Top, and I'm running things around here now.
What is happening?
I don't know.
I didn't want to go there with him.
I couldn't today.
Sorry.
I couldn't today. You gave me a headache.
Not today.
Not today.

Hello, who's this?
What up, Envy?
What's up, Breakfast Club?

What's up, brother?
What's up, y'all?
Just wanted to get it off my chest, man.
I wanted to shout out to all the DIYers, all my fellow entrepreneurs out there that are trying to get it out the mud.
It's a little tough right now, this time of the year.
Everybody's buying big stuff, but, you know, that time is almost up.
We'll get back out there.
You know, the season's going to break.
We'll get back out there and make that money.
So I want y'all to keep it tight, you know, get some more work in,
you know, hustle it up.
That's right.
Get ready for the new year.
Let's make that money.
Have a good one, man.
Thank you, guys.
Hello, who's this?
Morning, Breakfast Club.
It's Sylvester.
How y'all doing?
Sylvester, what's up?
Get it off your chest.
So I'm kind of hot this morning.
So I need a vent because the sheriff, Alex, I'm in L.A., by the way, who covered up his deputies sending out the pictures of Kobe Bryant's body is running for reelection.
So I was wondering if I could get a minute to get it off my chest and let the country know just how bad of a sheriff he is.
OK, let us know.
So first off, when the whole thing went down, he tried to cover it up for a month he wasn't trying to have
anybody know about it he told his hair if y'all delete the pictures we're gonna keep it quiet
right now it comes out that they hit it and that they destroyed the evidence so now we were paying
a million like over millions of dollars in settlements to families because you can't
do something like that.
That's wrong.
Right.
So we're dealing with that.
And then on top of it, in L.A., we got a sheriff deputy gang problem.
Right.
So the sheriff, there's like the banditos.
And you can find information about this if you Google LSD gang, amazing article by Cerise Castle, where it's documented how they're, you know, unjustly attacking brown and black people and killing them, tattoos and all to get into these gangs and initiate themselves.
And our border supervisors out here, they said, all right, boom, let's do a subpoena.
Come and testify so you can clear the records everybody but they said i don't want to show up i don't got time for it i don't want to waste people's tax dollars right so he's sending up
you know he's covering up for sending off pictures of the bryant family He is refusing to testify against subpoenas for gangs within the department.
And on top of that, we got this legislation coming down the line that removes slavery
from the Constitution in California and around the country, and he don't support that either.
So if you can, a call to action, if y'all could go leave a snake, Mamba, Kobe Bryant Mamba snake on his Instagram
in his comments with the
hashtag V in the waiver
must go. What's his
Instagram page? It's
L-A-C-O Sheriff. Okay.
L-A-C-O Sheriff. Leave the
Mamba Instagram, say hashtag
V in the waiver must go.
Alright, brother.
Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, hit us up now.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.

All right.
Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
Now, we got rumors on the way?
Man, we got to start it off with giving our condolences to Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott.
Absolutely.
Really tragic situation.
I can't even imagine.
My heart goes out to both of them.
And we'll talk about their five-month-old son who has passed away from brain cancer.
All right.
We'll get into that next.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Happy holidays.
Wishing you and your family the very best this holiday season.
From all of us here at The Breakfast Club.
Listen up. It's just in. All it gots. Well, some tragic news for Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott.
They have a five-month-old son, Zen, and he has passed away from brain cancer. Nick Cannon did go on his daytime show
to talk about the news of what happened.
Now here he is describing the symptoms that Zen had.
I always noticed he had like a little,
felt like a sinus thing.
It was like a cough.
By the time he was two months old,
I noticed like he got like a nice size head.
But I really wanted to, you know,
take him to the doctor to get the breathing
and the sinus things checked out.
So we thought it would be a routine process.
And we found out that he had another condition
where it was fluid that was building up in his head.
And when we found out it was more of a malignant tumor. And so immediately we had to have surgery, it was brain surgery. We put a sh up in his head. And when we found out it was more of a malignant tumor.
And so immediately we had to have surgery,
it was brain surgery.
We put a shunt in his head and we were hoping for the best.
Wow, well, Zen's health did take a turn for the worse.
That happened around Thanksgiving.
Here he is describing that.
So Thanksgiving, we had a interesting turn
and it was cancer in the brain.
And the tumor began to grow a lot faster.
And so we knew that the time was...
So this weekend, you know, I made a valid effort
to spend the most quality time I could spend with Zyn.
And after the last, oh, I'm holding my son for the last time.
But it was still, it was a beautiful setting.
I couldn't imagine, man.
I pray for Nick and his family. And, I mean, it's nothing worse than losing your child, you know.
And baby was five and a half months.
And you're thinking, you're praying for the best and you're hoping that everything is going to work out.
You're praying for strength. Here he is talking about that.
I was always talking about, you don't just go through it, you grow through it, you keep pushing, you know what I mean?
And I have so much faith in the Lord. I have so much faith in God.
And, you know, people were often telling me I should pray for miracles.
And I did pray for the miracle.
I prayed for the miracle of God's strength.
And that's why I'm here with you guys today.
Cause I know he puts the most and heaviest weight
on the shoulders of his strongest soldiers.
So I'm here to show that I can fight through this.
I'm feeling it.
I'm vulnerable.
I'm open.
Y'all see, but I'm gonna make it through.
And this is a special show dedicated to my beautiful son, Z.
Man.
Oh, man.
That is so.
Man, man, man.
And speaking of strength, for him to be able to go to work and do his show and discuss this and share this.
And I'm sure that there's other people who may have had experiences that touched them in particular that that was relatable.
And he said he's always an open book.
So in this situation, he wanted to make sure that he shared what was going on in his life.
And he also did have grief counselors on the show.
He had Dr. Laura Berman and he had grief expert David Kessler.
And here he is talking to David Kessler.
One thing I feel like I've been struggling with is guilt.
I want to spend more time with my kids.
When I'm here, I'm like, I should be with my kids.
When I'm off doing anything, I mean,
in other therapy sessions, I talk about the one thing that
eats at me, the thing that keeps me up at night.
It's like, I should be doing more for my children.
Guilt is a constant companion in grief.
I'm learning that.
And here's the thing, psychologically,, we always rather be guilty than helpless.
So your mind wants to find some control in an uncontrollable situation.
Let me tell you, the fact that you're in guilt, you wish you would have done more is what makes people a good father.
I think a lot of parents deal with that, you know, not spending enough time
or wanting to spend more time.
But on the other angle, you want to make sure that you can provide,
that you can provide food, you can make sure that you pay for their high school,
their college, their basketball games and their tournaments and all that.
So it's a thin line, but you try to play both sides.
And that's why I fly back and forth so many different times, man.
I try to be at the kids' games and the acting classes and ballet and dance
and soccer and tennis and whatever they do in football.
And, you know, my daughters play.
Whatever I possibly can.
But that is guilt that you sit through all the time is you want to spend more time,
but you also want to make sure that financially you set them up.
Right.
And kids aren't thinking when they're young, like, oh, he's doing this
because he's got to make money so I could.
They're like, where is my father?
That's right.
All right.
So we appreciate Nick Cannon for even being able to speak on that.
And to Alyssa Scott, I know that had to be really hard for both of them to have to deal with this.
But I'm going to see him later on today.
I'm going to give him a big hug, man.
He does a lot for us, our people, our community.
I'm just going to give him a big hug
and tell him we love him, man.
There's nothing you can say to make him feel better
but the fact that he knows that we love him
and we support him and we continue to pray for him
is just a start.
Alright, well that is your rumor reports.
I know that was heavy
but it was very necessary.
Me and my wife were talking about that last night
I couldn't even imagine
he's a strong brother
because I couldn't even imagine being able to function
but people deal with grief differently
so again salute to
Nick Cannon and condolences to his family
and to Alyssa
we got front page news
next what are we talking about
well let's talk about Chris Cuomo.
He was fired by CNN last Saturday, and that is for his involvement with his brother Andrew Cuomo's sexual misconduct scandal.
But we'll tell you what's happening now with the aftermath.

Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary?
Consider this.
Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Ladonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
Why can't I trade my own country? My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making rockets with black powder, you know, with explosive warheads.
Oh my god.
What is that? Bullets. Bullets holes.
We need help! We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.

As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her
dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves,
for self-preservation and protection. It was literally that step by step.
And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going.
This increment of small, determined moments.
Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself.
It's okay.
Like grace.
Have grace with yourself.
You're trying your best.
And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.
Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get some front page news.
Where we starting, Yeezy?
Well, Chris Cuomo, he was fired by CNN last Saturday for his involvement with his brother,
Andrew Cuomo's sexual misconduct scandal.
And he also has now lost his book deal and his severance.
CNN released a statement where they let everybody know that he was terminated.
Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light.
We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review and have terminated him effective immediately.
Wow.
Now, Cuomo released a statement saying the way my time ended at CNN was hard.
While I have a thick skin, I also have a family for whom the past week has been extraordinarily difficult.
So right now I have to take a step back and focus on what comes next.
Why would he lose his book deal?
Well, he's also facing sexual misconduct charges of his own.
And so all these things are also being brought back to light and to light from a former junior colleague at another network who chose to come forward now after hearing his on-air statement about his brother's scandal.
Don't that sound wild?
That accusation could get you to lose your book deal?
Because you figure a book deal where you'd be able to tell your own story, but an accusation could get you to lose it?
He's not convicted, right?
No, he's not.
But HarperCollins was doing his book deal.
That's the publishing company.
And they announced they'll no longer be publishing his book.
It's called Deep Denial.
It was supposed to come out in the fall of 2022.
And so now they're not publishing the book anymore.
All right.
Chris Cuomo also is prepping to sue CNN for more than $18 million.
And that's over the contract that they have
if they don't pay him at least
what's left in his contract that they
have to do that.
So he's hired lawyers, he's preparing to file
the lawsuit. It was a four year contract
that he signed last year
and so his contract was reportedly worth
$6 million a year so that
leaves between $18 and $20 million
that he would be owed.
But CNN has no intention of paying him a penny.
So if he gets a settlement,
there would be an uproar, according to a source.
But CNN does have a standard morality clause
in their contract that if the employee
does anything like that,
they can be immediately fired.
Yeah, I mean, that's in most people's contracts.
If you do something outside or do something you can
get fired, but the fact that he's fighting it
seems like it has to be a loophole.
I'm sure Chris Cuomo got some of the best
attorneys out there, so if he's fighting it
gotta be a loophole somewhere. Right, and
there's also a CNN probe going
on into an unspecified sexual
misconduct allegation against Chris Cuomo.
They got that just last week
and that dates to his time working for ABC
News. And his spokesman has
insisted that those allegations are
not true.
All right. Well, I'm Angela Yee and that is
your Front Page News. All right. So Charlamagne
is out today. So if you want to give somebody
donkey of the day, 800-585-1051.
Whoever you want to give donkey
to. It could be your boss. It could be
your co-worker. It could be the boss. It could be your co-worker.
It could be the fact that you can't find Christmas trees because there's a Christmas tree shortage.
It could be that guy who had a fake prosthetic arm and tried to get the vaccination in his fake arm.
That was funny.
It could be a bunch of things.
It could be the fact that you're not feeling your baby daddy right now, your baby mama.
Whatever it may be.
800-585-1051.
Hit us up right now, donkey of the day.
And now, up next, we have A.J. Johnson.
Now, A.J. Johnson, she's an actress, wellness coach.
She has a show on TV One called Life Therapy.
Now, you also might have seen her in Baby Boy.
She was also in House Party.
She was dancing with Gina.
Ain't gonna hurt nobody.
Yeah, so she'll be joining us in a little bit.
And she had her own show before, A., AJ Zone, I think it was called.
All right, so we'll talk to AJ Johnson when we come back.
So don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Hey, guys.
I'm Kate Max.
You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs,
and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast, Post Run High,
is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories,
their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together.
You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout?
Well, that's when the real magic happens.
So if you love hearing real, inspiring stories from the people you know, follow, and admire,
join me every week for Post Run High.
It's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the heart of it all.
It's lighthearted, pretty crazy, and very fun.

Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary?
Consider this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine.? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag.
I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine.
I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Ladonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
Why can't I create my own country, my forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
And so I discovered that that
is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments.
Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best
and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.
Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We got a special guest in the building.
I thought she was up here.
So I thought you were up here before.
No, my first time.
She's a virgin.
I'm like, I'm a Breakfast Club virgin.
I just know your face.
Like, I grew up on you.
So I just know.
I just thought you were here.
You're part of the family.
I love it.
It's AJ Johnson.
Good morning.
What's up?
What's up?
Good morning.
Now, if you don't know who AJ Johnson is and you don't know her from Life Therapy and all
the shows that she did, she was on one of my favorite movies of all time, House Party.
You know, I'm surprised you said that.
Why?
I thought you were going to say Baby Boy.
Yeah, that too.
Well, I was going to say, usually guys say Baby Boy.
Really?
Yeah.
And girls say House Party.
Yeah.
No, House Party, you know, I'm from New York, so it was like, I grew up on that.
So I want to start from the beginning, if you don't mind.
How did you get into acting?
How did you get the part in House Party?
In House Party.
Let's talk about it.
Oh my goodness, you don't have enough time.
And you're from New Jersey.
Jersey, yeah.
Yeah, well, I went to Spelman, I went to school in Atlanta.
And the beginning was Spike Lee shooting school days on campus.
And so, as a pre-med major, I still put my foot in the arts.
Let's go back to the real beginning.
So growing up in Jersey, my parents used to bring me up to the city.
So every time I come to New York, it's real nostalgic for me
because I grew up on Alvin Ailey dance classes and going to see Broadway shows.
And so that's where I feel like the performance bug got me.
But I came from an academic family.
So it was like, yeah, you know, that's fun,
but you're going to be a doctor,
you're going to be a lawyer,
or you're going to be an accountant.
So I always saw it as fun until Spike showed up,
his butt, he shows up on campus,
and he's like, you know,
I think I want you to be in my movie.
I was Miss Morehouse at the time, you know?
Yeah, so I was, you know,
I was kind of doing it at school,
and he was like, you know,
I think I kind of want your presence in the movie.
And I was like, yeah, you think? I need you to be sure he was like see that's
what I'm talking about that energy and so god bless him because he put me in school days and
that started everything because it gave me my my screen actors guild membership which is what you
need of course no and it's not and so I I love spike forever for that because he believed in me
enough to finance that and and the rest took off after that.
What about your parents?
Because they already wanted you.
You know, you were pre-med.
Oh, yeah.
Well, I lost my mom my first year of school.
But my dad and the rest of my family was like, no, no, no.
No, this is supposed to be fun.
And my dad actually didn't speak to me until the house party premiere because then he wanted tickets.
Oh, really?
Did you for a second say, I for a second say i don't know
you haven't been talking to me no because i knew i knew you know and he knew we were close so he
said listen i'm just scared for you like that life you understand you know he's like you know
i'm from jersey i'm an engineer i don't know nothing about hollywood and auditions and red
carpets he's like but now i'm gonna find out because my girl doing it you know so break down
house party so how did house party come to you? And what was the vision when you first seen it?
Okay.
Well, did you know that I was in Living Color, Fly Girl Choreographer?
Yes.
Okay.
So actually House Party conflicted with in Living Color.
So Keenan Ivory Wayans was like, you got to do either.
So I was like, okay, so I'm out.
So you're just going to leave in Living Color, one of the biggest shows on TV.
But at the time it was the beginning. It was growing. I was pioneering. Correct. Right to leave and live in color. One of the biggest shows on TV. But at the time was the beginning.
It was growing.
I was pioneering.
Correct.
Right.
So I called him Rosie, my girl, Rosie Perez.
I said, listen, I got to take a step back for a second.
Go try to do this movie thing.
I need you to handle it for me.
That's dope that you hooked a friend up because some people might have been like, oh, I got to make a choice.
I'm out.
Good luck.
Oh, no, no, no.
Because Rosie was, you know, at the time, you know, as dancers,
it was like Rosie
was holding down the East Coast.
I was holding down the West Coast.
So we shot In Living Color
on the West Coast.
So, I mean,
and Keenan was a friend.
So I was like, you know,
I'm going to take this opportunity,
but I'm not going to leave
my boy hanging.
So I was like,
let me go get you
the baddest dancer I know,
which was Rosie.
And so, of course,
Rosie and then,
and, you know,
Tisha and I were friends
because we met
during school days. And I said, listen, I'm trying to do this movie, I think, you know, Tisha and I were friends because we met during school days.
And I said, listen, I'm trying to do this movie, I think.
You know, they came to the location to check me out on Living Color.
They're looking for a brown-skinned chick who can dance.
And she's like, oh, no, they're looking for a light-skinned girl for the other role.
I wonder if it's me and you.
Well, now, you know, we don't have to wonder.
Wow.
You know what?
Do you think that you're training and what you do like for people as a life coach that helps even when you're on set just being there with people?
Because I can imagine how pleasant it must be to be around you because you have a lot of the skills and tools to make sure that you know how to treat other people.
Some people don't know how to do that.
I love you saying that, Ange, because I think that part of my life and personality is what
got me to the life coaching. It was like, as people, as I'm, you know, I mean, I've been doing
this for 30 years. So as, as I work with different people, as I'm around different people, they're
the ones saying, you know, can I talk to you? You know, can I get your take on this? You know,
I heard you went through a hard time, but you don't, I can't even, you know, you're not wearing
your, you know, you're not wearing your story. Like how are you so up and so that's where the life coaching came from
the psychology degree and background i just started helping people and before my dad passed
he was like well are they paying you for it and i was like no no i'm helping my friends he was like
well can they pay me because i pay for spellman so can they pay me back that's right you know
and so in his passing he said you, promise me you'll just try it.
Because that's part of your gift and your talent.
And, you know, you help people and you're in service as a person.
But at the same time, that's a job.
Right.
So here we are.
And TV One, TV One said, whoop!
And said, we want you to executive produce.
That's dope.
It's your show, 18 episodes.
Show us how you do it.
I love it.
Because it is really difficult
to be in these high stressful situations.
So many people don't like the people who they have to work with.
So imagine like having somebody
Including me sometimes.
So it's like, you know, finish your question
but I'm like, you know, don't act like I'm the
therapist who's not going through it.
I'm the therapist to help you because I'm coming from experience.
But go ahead and finish.
No, I know, but I'm saying, just imagine,
I was talking to one of my friends about that and we were saying
how so many people just have
to go to situations where they go to work every day
and they just can't stand
their job. They can't stand
the people that have to, and that can be like
really, every day just
break you down. Girl, the breakdown
can start with, how about
I don't even want to go to work
or I'm at work and I like work more than I like home.
I mean, there's a whole lot that goes on.
I don't like my family.
You know, I'm married.
I can't stand my husband.
You know, I mean, there's a whole lot,
especially during this pandemic.
You know how many people were locked away at home
and typically were doing okay
because they weren't home so much.
And now that's all they could be.
So life shifted.
Some people say, I don't like my kids.
I mean, listen! I'm telling you.
Life is hard. I think for me,
I messed up my
situation at the crib because they had a situation.
They get up at a certain time.
They eat at a certain time. They do this at a certain time.
So now dad's coming home and I'm like,
it's too early to eat this.
Where you been? We've been doing this.
Go do your breakfast club thing in the morning. It's like 18? We've been doing this. Go do your breakfast club thing in the morning.
His daughter's like 18,
like, we've been doing this,
Dad, get out of here.
Right.
I messed up the house
a little bit.
Right.
And you know what?
I love, you know,
TV One has been amazing
because in creating the show,
you know, one of the things
I asked and they completely
partnered with me on
is that I wanted to keep it real
and authentic
and deal with genuine issues.
I didn't want to be
the doctor on the couch, the therapist on the couch.
I wanted to dive in and say, listen, you know, therapy is me and you trying to find a solution.
It's friends, it's family, it's a camaraderie approach.
It should be fun. It should be safe.
You know, no matter what the issue is, we all need help going through life.
So whatever it is, big or small.
All right, we got more with A.J. Johnson. We're getting this free life therapy this morning. So don't move. It's it is, big or small. All right, we got more with AJ Johnson.
We're getting this free
life therapy this morning.
So don't move.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy,
Angela Yee,
Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it
with AJ Johnson,
actress, wellness coach.
She has a show on TV One,
Life Therapy.
Now you spoke with Yandy and Medici.
Yes.
Oh, man, that went viral.
Yes. Goodness gracious. Yandy was Medici. Yes! That went viral.
Goodness gracious. Yandy was so mad about that. Couples retreat! Break that down.
Goodness gracious. Which part?
Which part? The part when
Medici left.
When she was like, would you hold me down?
He was like, I don't know. Right!
But here's what I love. First of all, that's
my family. I love them.
She was here about a week ago? Yeah.
That's Couples Retreat. That's VH1. And you know, I love. First of all, that's my family. I love them. She was here about a week ago? Yeah. Yeah.
That's Couples Retreat.
That's VH1.
And, you know, I love the honesty.
See, that's my thing.
We can only get to the help and the step forward when you're willing to be honest, no matter how bad the situation is.
And they needed to have that conversation.
I was watching them as we were filming, and I could tell that they were off about the truth of, you know, how did you feel when you were incarcerated and I was blowing up, you know, on the outside. And so there were conversations
they hadn't had yet. So to me, I was like, you know what, if y'all trust me, we can really do
this work and get down to the true, the true conversation, which is like, what are you really
feeling? You know, Yandy, what are you feeling? I just want to know, you know, all the stuff I did,
would he have my back? And I was like, well, what if he doesn't? You know, Yandy, what are you feeling? I just want to know, you know, all the stuff I did. Would he have my back?
And I was like, well, what if he doesn't?
Where are we going from there?
She's like, I don't know.
I just got to get the answer.
I said, OK, well, I'm gonna help you, sis.
Get the answer.
I never expected to get the answer.
We all got the answer.
Right.
But you know what?
That's the step forward.
You know, they had already dealt with where they were for years.
Right.
In terms of that space.
You can only step forward when you get to the truth. So now you start to heal. You know, now had already dealt with where they were for years. Right. In terms of that space, you can only step forward when you get to the truth.
So now you start to heal.
You know, now we know the truth.
Now we know that he didn't say no.
He said, I don't know.
So now we have to figure it out.
Now, let me ask you a question.
When people say, I want the answer.
And your thing is, well, what are you going to do when you get that answer?
Right.
Right.
And most of the time is nothing.
So why do you have to answer so much?
Because he says that all the time.
If you get the truth, what you going to do when you get that truth?
If you ain't going to do nothing.
Some people don't want to know the truth because they want to just keep living how they're living.
And they're like, okay.
Because if I'm going to stay, but I want the truth, but I'm staying, I'm just going to stay and be mad.
Right.
And then you're going to stay and be mad and not happy and evil and not fun to be around.
Vindictive.
And vindictive and revengeful.
And I mean, who wants that life?
I mean, I don't.
Some people don't know they don't want to know the truth.
Sometimes in the therapy sessions
is where you uncover and discover,
you know, I probably won't do anything with the truth.
So maybe I don't want the truth
and maybe the lie I'm living is probably okay for my life.
Now, if you can be okay living a lie,
then that's on you.
More power to you.
Right, you know, I personally can't live that lie., then that's on you. More power to you. Right. You know,
I personally can't live that lie. I'm a
truth seeker. Are you a truth seeker? Absolutely.
Are you? No.
You don't want to know the truth?
You'd rather live the lie. When it comes
to certain things. Like, it's honestly
when it comes to friends and
my kids. But if my wife cheated on me?
You wouldn't want to know. I wouldn't want to know.
Seriously, you wouldn't want to know. You don't want to know. You know, I've heard. Seriously, you wouldn't want to know.
You don't think you could learn the truth, heal from it, and keep going?
No, he can't do it.
Wow.
Because the other guy's penis was definitely bigger.
Shut up.
And we know size matters.
You know.
Right?
Right?
The reason I wouldn't is because, you know, I've been with my wife 27 years, right?
Yeah.
We've been married 20.
So all the stuff that I've done to my wife in a relationship is foul. was insecure we've been starting to go together when we were 15 right so you learn from
your wife like you learn those experiences with your spouse so if she did something to me i'm not
leaving you deserved it i deserved it you oh so okay so it's kind of like a guilt thing no it's
not a guilty i just don't want to i'm not leaving like you don't even want to think about it so i
don't even think about it. So
for instance, like when it comes to me, I'm
the type, I can put something in the past
and continue to move forward. Does she know all
your dirt? Yes. Okay.
And she stayed? Yes. So is
that why if you knew her dirt,
you could say? He's not going to go. That's why
he's saying. Because you're saying you're not going to leave.
So why not? You just don't need to know the dirt?
I don't know how I would feel if that was the case.
Let's say my wife did something foul, right?
Let's say she...
Could it be more foul than whatever you did?
I mean, anything could be foul.
She could have sex with a friend.
And not just cheating, just the insecurities,
how I treated her, just being young
and through our relationship.
And she did something I would not want to know.
So does that make you slightly, like, lifelong uncomfortable?
No.
To say no?
No, because even with me, like, for instance,
if you do something, let's say you do something to me,
I'm the type where I can let it go, say,
fuck you, and keep it moving and never think about you ever again.
You're never in my life.
Some people harp on that.
I agree.
No, I agree.
But when it's your wife,
it's kind of like I feel like there's this little
cloud, like a Charlie Brown cloud
that could hover of, there could be
something I don't know that's holding
me back from being my
best self just because I
don't know my full truth. That could
be it, but there hasn't been any discrepancies
with her in our marriage.
You don't even think that. But AJ, let me ask you something.
I've heard that if you cheat on somebody, you're not supposed to tell them if they're not going to find out.
Because that's just to get rid of your own guilt.
And that puts a burden on the other person.
And I've read that in several places.
So can we back up before that?
And why are you cheating anyway?
So there's something going on for you to be a cheater first.
Now all of a sudden you're a cheater and you're keeping secrets.
So where are we going with that?
Because what if like, okay, let's just say his wife went on vacation with her girls while Envy was doing him.
I don't use Envy in this one, but go ahead.
And she had a little fling somewhere in Jamaica and no one would ever know about it.
Came back home and just, should she tell?
Years later, he didn't find out
it was 15 years ago.
I think, first of all, like I said,
depending on what's leading you to the cheat,
that's the issue.
What's happening that you even want to cheat?
If it wasn't s***, he knows.
Okay, well, see.
I don't want to say I wasn't s***, but I wasn't the best.
Well, let's be true. Let's be honest.
So, are we just, are we kind of putting icing on a nasty cake saying you weren't,
you were just not the best?
I mean, you know, were you, were you, were you?
Yeah.
Okay.
See?
Yeah, I was.
Okay.
That's okay.
So, so that again, that's the truth.
So, but you're in order for you to be better, you have to admit that so that you know what better is going to be, right?
Correct.
So the cheating, what's going on for her to cheat?
Something's going on with herself before it even comes to the relationship.
Something's going on inside.
Now that you cheat, now it depends on where she wants to go in the relationship.
Because now you're holding on to a secret, a lie.
Because now my vow to you is a lie.
Her vow is a lie.
She cheated.
You think some people cheat out of
revenge too? I think people cheat for all
kind of reasons. Insecurity, revenge.
What you gonna say? Look, you need to pull
the mic closer. He's like, wait, hold on.
No. I think people cheat
for many different reasons. Many reasons.
But I think the main reason
I think a lot of fellas cheat is because, and this is gonna
sound so crazy and I know women hate when we say it,
because that's what our community was.
A cheating community?
Correct.
Like, think about it.
When you listen to music and you listen to things, it's almost like you're supposed to cheat.
When you hear songs and you see people doing this and you see people doing that and you're at the club, that's what our community was growing up.
That's how it was, and that's what I see.
You know, that's deep, because I feel like it's kind of shifted to twerking now.
Now it's changed.
Like, now it's twerking.
Like, all the music is, you know, if I can't drop down low,
stay down low,
and make it go
counterclockwise, clockwise,
it's like,
I feel like I'm not worthy.
You can do it, though.
I can,
but that's not the point.
You still can do it.
Yeah, yeah.
But that was the community.
But even think about it,
growing up,
how many times
did you see
your favorite artist
or favorite celebrity
out with their wife?
You know,
you just started seeing rappers talk about their wives and just seeing actors talk about their wives in the last 10 years.
Before that, you had to be single.
But listen, you know, that's what our community did.
But listen to what's happening.
You're talking about the men part and you're asking about the female part.
So I think there's also different reasons why as women we cheat and why as men cheat but it still
goes back to what's going on within me very seldom I mean I think that people cheat for a lot of
reasons like we were talking about but very seldom I feel like the cheating has to do with the other
person the cheating has to do with how I feel about myself right now you can help me not feel
good about me right you can help me not be courageous, not be confident, not be confirmed. Right. But you can't validate me. I got to validate me.
So if I'm cheating, looking for validation, attention, love, honor, respect, that's something that I'm looking for somewhere else.
So now I have to deal with you on why am I with you as a life partner and I'm not getting what I need.
You follow? Right. So it's not about telling do I cheat?
It's I need to fix what's happening here because I went somewhere else.
Or I think we can be better.
And just so you know, we're so effed up right now.
I did go somewhere else.
But can we fix it?
All right, well, no more.
We have more with A.J. Johnson when we come back.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Body is D.J., Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it with A.J. Johnson, actress, wellness coach.
She has a show on TV One, Life Therapy.
Now, Yee?
Question, Envy, why did you cheat?
A lot of different reasons.
Insecurity is the main one.
I think one, because when I was home, I was Rashawn Casey.
But when I was in the street, I was DJ Envy.
So I almost felt like I was a superhero.
Like, I put my cape on, I'm a different person.
And what part of your life, though?
What part of your life did this happen?
Because y'all been together a long time.
When I started popping.
And when was that?
I would say maybe my late 20s.
You was feeling yourself.
Yeah, feeling myself because you got to think.
I was, and I hate to say it, I was the kid with the glasses, the braces.
Oh, my God, he was terrible.
Here we go.
Listen, he had them little tight shorts on with his socks up to his knees.
My first name was The Nerd.
Yeah.
My first name was DJ Shrimp.
I was only 5'4 at first.
Oh, I thought it was because it's something else.
No, shut up.
But I grew from 5'4 to 6'0.
So it was like, you know, as a kid, I was the nerd.
Nobody was f***ing with me.
Nobody was hollering at me.
But now I'm 6'0.
I got LASIK.
My braces are off.
I got LASIK.
I got LASIK as number two.
He said, I got LASIK. My glasses are gone. See. I got LASIK. My braces are off. I got LASIK. I got LASIK as number two. He said, I got LASIK.
My glasses are gone.
I can see.
I got LASIK.
There was no more metal mouth.
There was no more four eyes.
There was no more none of that.
Listen.
Nothing sexier than LASIK.
That's crazy.
Gia done dusted you off, right?
And fixed you up.
She dusted me off and fixed me up.
And now, I'm out.
Now, you're out there.
I'm out you.
Great.
But you know how many stories are the same?
Male and female, you know?
The chubby girl in high school who couldn't make the cheerleading team
all of a sudden becomes the beauty queen,
and she's also now at the home.
I was like 95 pounds in high school.
You know what I mean?
So I think what's great with you guys is that you have such a history.
That's your foundation.
You had to know you were going to grow up together.
So that growing years, I mean, most people don't really find their person
until a good reason person until like 30.
So you have all that growing and maturing to do before you lock down.
If you lock down sooner, you're going to have those growing pains, as they say.
Correct.
So you have to go through them together.
Me and my wife wrote a book during the pandemic, which comes out next year.
Oh, you've got to have them on the show.
But we talk about all that
because I was insecure.
She was beautiful.
I didn't want her to go outside.
I didn't want her to wear
form-fitting clothes.
I was that type of guy.
The guy that,
if my daughter dated a guy like me,
I'd be like,
we gotta give her this.
I got a question.
Yes, ma'am.
So is there anything from that guy,
because that's a soul,
is there anything from that soul, although that's a soul. Is there anything from that soul?
Although we fixed a lot of the outside.
Is there anything on the inside that still needs healing?
When it comes to that?
No.
You're absolutely sure?
Absolutely sure.
So why do you think you don't want to know her truth?
If there is something to tell.
You can't handle the truth.
Well, I don't think about the past.
I don't think about anything.
Do you believe that? He don't want to think about his past. I don't think about anything. Do you believe that? He don't want to think
about his past. I don't think about anybody's past.
No, but I think. Because it gets me to a place where I
don't want to think about it. Like some people, you know,
they drink to forget about things or they use drugs.
For myself, I focus on
the future. Like I focus on my kids
and the future and what's coming on next.
I never want to go back to that person.
I never want to think about that person.
I know who that person is and I don't like talking about that person.
Even with my wife, she got cut in her face, right?
She had like 60 stitches.
Girls beat her up when she was 15, jumped her, cut her face.
I never want to think about that again.
So every time she brings that story up, I have to walk out the room.
You don't even want to hear about it.
I don't want to hear it no more because I dealt with that.
We didn't cry.
But you're healed from it.
So you're already healed from it.
No residual nothing.
Exactly.
If it wasn't, I would find the person
and blow their house up,
but I'm healed from it.
Well, see, that means that you're still not healed.
Why?
Because you're telling that you have thoughts of...
No, I don't have thoughts about that.
If I did, I would have done it.
You hear what I'm saying?
It'd be very complicated.
I know, but you know what?
This is life therapy.
Yes!
And I also think that he could justify if Gia cheated on him,
and that's maybe why he doesn't want to know.
Because it's justified.
You're hired.
Come on, life coach.
Come on, Gia.
Come on, life coach.
Finish.
Yes, you're right.
You know, because you could look at the situation and say,
she should have cheated because in his head, you know, I deserved it. He probably
thinks he deserved it because he
wasn't present the way that he should have been.
He was doing what he was doing. Her feelings
were hurt and
what did he think she was... I'll just get the show to talk
about me. I know, I know. You said to talk about your
problem. Right, right, exactly.
This is a great example of
what life is. Right, right. No, it is.
It is. And this is what therapy is.
I mean, the reason why we're doing the show is to hopefully show the black and brown community that doesn't necessarily know or go to therapy.
We're trying to show and hopefully succeeding that therapy is this.
It's exactly what we're doing.
We're talking things out, looking for solutions in a safe place where you can feel like you have no reason to hide your truth and open and honesty
because the next step is moving forward in your life.
And so we're blocked by so much as a people, right?
Like you're saying, a lot of the male cheating is coming from, you know, our music in the day.
And what society is telling us we are and are not and how good we are or not.
I mean, we go on and on, you know, in terms of how does your family upbringing play a part in your adult life like what did
you see a lot of African American men don't come from two-parent households so
they didn't have an example of what a man is really supposed to be in a
relationship. I luckily did I'm all over my wife I'm all over my kids I'm always
constantly hugging. In my relationship I need that because I watched it
and that's how I identify
love. How do you identify love?
Well, I would say this. My parents
are definitely not very affectionate people.
See, that's so deep. Our parents are divorced
but live with each other, go everywhere with each other. You gotta be on
the show too. We got a whole lot of
therapy right here. We live in the same house.
Travel everywhere but not married.
I'm probably very emotionally unavailable.
I'm cool in my relationship, and I'm very laid back and chill.
And we don't really argue.
Everything's pretty calm.
Do you want to fix that?
Do you feel like it's something to fix?
No, I think everything's fine.
I feel like we don't have super deep conversations, but we also are best friends.
So best friends and romantic, but like super deep conversations but we also are like best friends so best friends and
and romantic but not super deep yeah but we don't have those conversations we could but
I just feel like we never have had the need how long you been together um like six years see and
I think you tell me because you both y'all are in a relationship longer than ones I mean I last two
weeks that's long for me me. But my question is,
do you think, being the married one,
that the hard conversations
are what cements the relationship?
That's all I'm saying here.
I think he's scared of marriage.
It won't say it, right?
Well, no, I do say it.
And the reason being is because
I think she's seen it with her mother and father.
So you're scared of it.
Well, I don't feel like marriage
is necessary for me, personally.
And listen, that's a whole other show. Women who don't feel like marriage is necessary for me. Right. And listen.
That's not being scared.
That's a whole other show.
Women who don't feel like marriage, I feel the same way.
But I'm not against it.
Like, if one day I change my mind, I'm okay with that.
But I'm okay with not being married and being in a monogamous relationship.
See, there's a lot of women who are not okay with not being married.
Yeah, and that's a decision.
You know, because some people have a goal, like, I want to be married, and there's a decision. Some people have a goal like, I want
to be married and there's nothing wrong with that.
Right, I agree. But I also think
Ye is an individual that has been doing
it for so long and being an
entrepreneur and being independent, I don't
think she could ever get to it. And this is me personally,
I don't think she could ever get to a place where she has
to check in and tell somebody
what she's doing, how she's doing it, where she's
I don't think she's... I don't look at that as checking in, though.
Yeah, I was going to say, but her marriage doesn't have to be that.
I know.
Right?
Yeah, I know.
My marriage is not going to be that.
Because I couldn't be with somebody...
You know where your husband is all the time?
That's not going to be a marriage?
Or you know where your wife is all the time?
Well, what do you mean, do we know where we are all the time?
For instance...
You need a GPS on you, girl.
No, not a GPS, but when I go somewhere, my wife knows.
When my wife goes somewhere.
I know like we know where we each other are going.
So if I ever need her, she ever needs me.
She can know if a bomb blew up in the city, she could be like, my husband's not in the city.
He's in Queens.
Yes.
With his parents.
I didn't hear that as the same thing as the check in thing that he won't.
You got to check in on you in trouble.
But like where that's partnership to me.
Exactly. Right. That's a level of partnership. At all times. in trouble, but like, where, that's partnership to me. exactly.
Right?
That's a level of partnership.
At all times.
Like,
if I'm like,
I'm not coming to work this day,
I have to do,
like,
it comes up in regular conversation.
Okay.
And you figure it out,
you know,
as you're moving forward.
You know,
where you are now
may not be the relationship
you want in two months,
three months.
Right.
You know,
that's the one thing too
that I love about the timing
of life therapy
is that we're dealing in a time when the world keeps turning and flipping. You know, that's the one thing, too, that I love about the timing of life therapy is that we're dealing in a time when the world keeps turning and flipping.
You know, we didn't know that we'd be here, you know, this long in a pandemic and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.
And we're getting ready to go into another slump in it. Right.
So our lives, our work, our relationships, our families, everything. Our finances. Everything is affected. Is it draining sometimes when you leave from doing the therapy?
Because it's really deep, the things that you have to discuss.
Yeah.
Like, there's one picture I posted on Instagram in the middle of shooting
where I was getting, like, a vitamin IV because I was so drained.
But the difference for me is this is not a job for me.
I really believe it's a calling.
You know, all of it, all of my life, all of my career has led to this.
I mean, think about it.
When you talk about clients and you talk about Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, you know, Beyonce, CeeLo.
I mean, the list, you know, I've been so blessed to work with so many people and gain their trust.
To work with so many people, Tisha.
I mean, the list goes on.
What I love is that part of the trust comes from I've lived the life.
I'm in the industry.
I have struggles.
But they're seeing where I'm managing the life. I'm in the industry. I have struggles. But they're seeing where I'm managing my life.
I'm managing my happy.
I'm managing my mental and my stress.
So basically the business came because they said,
you're doing a better job at the management than I am.
Please show me and teach me how you do it.
Okay.
Do I owe you a check?
Well, Envy, make sure you send Envy his invoice.
He just said that.
No, this is my Christmas gift.
This is my Christmas gift.
This is my Christmas gift.
And when I come back and see y'all in January,
now we're going to start charging.
This is the first free one.
This is AJ Johnson at The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Hey, guys.
I'm Kate Max.
You might know me from my popular online series,
The Running Interview Show,
where I run with celebrities, athletes,
entrepreneurs, and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast,
Post Run High, is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together.
You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout?
Well, that's when the real magic happens.
So if you love hearing real, inspiring stories from the people you know,
follow, and admire, join me every week for Post Run High.
It's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the heart of it all.
It's lighthearted, pretty crazy, and very fun.
Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Depressed? A little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Ladonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tribe own country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams.
I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step.
Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club.
Good morning. Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk NBA Youngboy. This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk NBA Youngboy.
This is the rumor report with Angela Yee.
Rumor has it.
On The Breakfast Club.
So listen up.
Well, NBA Youngboy has boosted the numbers on Clubhouse.
Now, Clubhouse was super popular during the pandemic, but the numbers have gone down. But according to academics, when Youngboy did that appearance on Clubhouse and joined,
and his entire fan base went on there, it went from being 60th on the App Store to being top five in a matter of days.
It was number four.
Yeah.
I mean, he has a lot of fans.
He's the most streaming artist out there?
On YouTube, yes.
And then he took his videos off YouTube.
So, yeah. I mean, everybody his videos off YouTube. So, yeah.
I mean, everybody wants to hear what he has to say.
And he's on house arrest,
so it's not like you're going to see him out and about doing too much.
All right.
Now, a Houston attorney has filed more than 1,500 cases
on behalf of victims of the Astroworld Festival tragedy.
So the total number of plaintiffs in relation to the 10 deaths and 300 injuries
is nearly 2,800 as of this point.
We told you yesterday that Travis Scott
has requested that one of the claims against
him, Jack Enterprises and
Cactus Jack be dismissed. That is his way
of getting started of separating
himself from these lawsuits.
And Power Book 2 Ghost has
been renewed for a third season, so
congratulations. Shout out to 50.
I don't think anybody didn't think that was going to happen.
I mean, it's so popular and it's so damn good.
So they're going to start shooting that in early 2022.
All right.
Tristan Thompson, who wants to get a gag order to silence his alleged baby mother.
And so he basically filed an emergency petition yesterday asking the judge to issue a gag order in that case,
barring the parties, which includes himself and Marlene Nichols, from speaking out about the case
as it plays out in court.
So in the documents, he claims that she's been doing interviews with the media, leaking
personal info, and even taking to IG and other social media to spread what he says
are blatant lies about himself and his family.
He's just a mess.
He is a mess.
I mean, he's...
All right, congratulations to Halle Berry.
She did a speech during the celebration of black cinema.
Stop letting awards measure our worth
is what she had to say.
Here is Halle Berry.
I want to say thank you to the Critics' Choice Association
for this wonderful honor.
You know, when I started 30 years ago,
there weren't rooms like this.
I was often alone. I was only one ago, there weren't rooms like this.
I was often alone.
I was only one of the few black people in the room searching to find my value
and searching to find my worth.
I feel accomplished.
It's over 30 years later to be standing here
as not only an actor, but now a director.
Congratulations to her.
She also got the People's Icon Award at the People's Choice Awards that happened last night.
Cardi B presented her with the award that honors her contributions in TV and film.
The Rock, he also got the People's Champion Award at that same thing.
Kim Kardashian, she got the Fashion Icon Award.
And here's what she had to say.
I stopped as a closet organizer and a stylist,
so the fact that I'm winning a Fashion Icon Award, it's like a pinch-me moment.
Thank you to Zach Posen, who dressed me and took me to my first CFDA Awards,
and so many amazing designers like Ricardo and Olivier that really believed in me
and probably were talked into it
by getting a call from Kanye.
So thank you, you know, to Kanye even
for really introducing me to the fashion world.
You know, you forget about that.
She started out as a closet organizer,
organizing people's closets in LA.
That is crazy to where she is today.
That is, that's, that's crazy.
All right. And we have a big announcement to make also.
In the rumors, apparently we have an author amongst us.
DJ Envy, a.k.a. Rashawn and Gia Casey.
Yes.
Have a book coming out, Real Life, Real Love, Life Lessons on Joy, Pain, and the Magic that Holds Us Together.
Yes.
You can pre-order that book now.
We talk about everything in the book.
This book is a guide.
And a lot of times when people are in relationships,
they don't talk about their relationships.
They only talk about the good parts.
So when people are going through problems,
they don't know what to refer to.
So in this book, we talk about everything.
Guy and I have been together 27 years.
We've been married 20.
So we talk about everything.
Insecurities, raising kids, forgiving, cheating, you name it.
Everything is in that book. We detail everything. We dive deep.
So during a pandemic, when everybody was at home chilling, we were finishing up this book.
It was a lot because we had to relive a lot of those things that we've been through.
But the book you can preorder right now. Shout to Abrams is 256 pages. There's pictures so you can see.
So we detail everything, how we first met, how we first started to talk,
how we keep the relationship lively and spark still.
And we talk about sex life and everything.
Everything that is holding a relationship together, we discuss and we talk about.
So hopefully we can help some people out there that are in relationships or in marriages or not.
And just try to help them keep it together.
So we're excited about that.
So you can pre-order that right now.
Abrams Books.
You can pre-order it at Barnes and Nobles.
Anywhere you buy books.
We're super duper excited.
It's real life, real love.
Life lessons on joy, pain, and the magic that holds it together.
Now it's pain.
Is that about the situation you had?
What situation are you talking about, you fool?
The toy that you got caught with.
Shut up.
That's not real.
But we talk about that, too.
So we talk about everything in the book, just what keeps our relationship together and how we raise our kids and how we talk to each other, how we communicate, how we started.
Because it wasn't always like that.
Our insecurities.
I know we spoke about earlier how I was a very insecure person.
I didn't want Gia to wear tight clothes.
We go through the whole thing, how it changed me and our relationship with God.
So pre-order the book, man.
We're excited, man.
I can't wait for you guys to read it.
It comes out next year, but you can pre-order it right now.
I admire Gia so much for dealing with you.
It's like she already had six kids before this last one just came.
Shut up.
No, but shout out to you guys.
So congratulations on that.
I heard she used to be mad when you used to wear tight clothes, too.
Yo, shut up.
I saw those pictures of you when you were younger, where you had them little shorts on.
I know she was like, you are not going out in that.
My mama showed you that picture.
Yeah, she did.
Was it your mom or your dad?
I can't remember, but one of them.
When I tell you those, listen, I can see why she'd be mad.
All right.
Not going out like that.
That is your rumor report.
Now, up next, donkey of the day.
Who you want to give donkey to?

Hello, who's this?
I'm Newt Tina from Newport News, Virginia.
I'm an Uber driver.
I've been trying to get through to you guys for years.
Trying to get through yesterday. Congratulations on your 11 years. Thank you. I have learned patience.
No matter how much I call
and call and call, I never got through. Thank you so much.
This has made my day. My shout out goes
to Uber. Passengers, please
light up or put some numbers on your
house. We can't see your house. I'm riding
up and down the street like I'm trying to score correct.
Please light up or at least be standing outside. That's my donkey. Thank you. Okay,'t see your house. I'm riding up and down the street like I'm trying to score a crack. Please light up or at least be standing
outside. That's my donkey. Thank you.
Okay, she had it prepared. She was ready.
Thank you, Mama. Yes, yes.
Thank you so much. You guys have a blessed
day. You too. I feel like that's the
second time we've heard that,
right? To make sure you had the numbers
outside your house. Yeah, I mean, that's
difficult. I know for a lot of Uber drivers.
I said, my house in Detroit, I gotta make sure I put my address outside. Yeah. I mean, that's difficult. I know for a lot of Uber drivers. I said my house in Detroit,
I got to make sure
I put my address outside.
Yeah.
Hello, who's this?
This is anonymous
and I have to give
donkeys every day
to my ex-boyfriend.
Uh-oh.
Ma, what'd he do?
He's still living with me.
We broke up like five months ago
and he's still living with me.
What?
He got to go.
But why are you
letting him live with you though?
He must have some good pee-pee
if he's still living with you.
He won't leave.
No, he does not.
So why don't you kick him out?
I have multiple times.
He's coming back.
He even makes copies of my house.
Mama, you let him in that house.
There's got to be a reason why you let him back in.
Because I feel bad for him.
Yo, get out of here.
Goodbye.
You get duckier today.
No, he's just dunkier today.
Nah.
Nah, you just, come on.
You said you want him to leave.
He won't get out.
But then you said you still love him.
So you don't even want him out.
No, I don't still love him.
I said I feel bad for him.
Oh, you feel bad for him.
I thought you said, why do you feel bad for him?
Because I'm a very big, kind-hearted person.
I'm still do for you regardless.
Regardless because, you know, like you, I mean.
He's a grown-ass man.
I don't know how to give him an advantage.
You're right, he's a grown-ass man.
And he's taking advantage of you and you letting it happen.
I'm not letting it happen.
Change your locks.
Goodbye.
Hello, who's this?
I want to go viral.
Hey, it's Monet.
Hey, Monet, good morning. I heard somebody's this? I want to go viral. Hey, it's Monet. Hey, Monet.
Good morning.
I heard somebody scream out, I want to go viral.
I'm giving donkey of the day to my boss.
What happened with your boss?
He fired me right before Christmas.
Yeah, what did he fire you for, though?
Because my kid was sick.
So you missed work?
I got donkey of the day.
I had to miss work because my kid was sick.
And now my kid can't have a Christmas.
So thank you.
Wow.
That's crazy.
What we want you to do.
What's the email, guys?
BCChangeForChange.
So what we're going to do on December 16th is we're going to be giving away people money that need help.
Giving away money to people.
Yeah, well, you know what I mean.
So what we need you to do is just hit up this email, bcchange4change.com.
Tell us exactly what happened and what you need money for, and we might be able to slide

Okay, bcchange4change.com.
You write us what happened, how much money you need, what you need the money for, and
we try to help you out a little bit.
Okay, thanks, guys.
All righty, mama. Have a good one.
Hello, who's this? Hi,
good morning, Breakfast Club. How are you? This is Cassandra from New Jersey.
Hey, Cassandra.
Hey, guys. I want to get
off my... No, I want to get
donkey of the day to my
niece, whose initials are
QW, because I don't want to say her name
because she might not like it.
She said that
white teachers teach
black students
better than black
teachers. Oh my gosh. She said
she prefers her
children to be taught by white
teachers. Let me ask you a question. Has she ever had
a black teacher teach her kids?
Yes, she has. Oh, she has. Okay. We're from Newark. Our teach her kids? Yes. Yeah. Oh, she has. OK.
We're from Newark. Our kids go to school in Newark.
Oh, Newark. OK. Brick City. I mean, she's bugging.
Our kids go to school in Newark.
And she said that she thinks that the white teachers teach the black students no matter where, no matter where the setting is.
I've had both. And I feel like the black teachers understand me better and understand me more.
Shout out to Hampton University.
I went to HBCU, Hampton University, and I would say 90% of my teachers were black.
And the way that they taught, the way that they spoke to me, I felt like they weren't talking down to me.
So, I mean, I don't know where she's getting that from.
Maybe she just had a couple of bad teachers, but I wouldn't trade that experience for the world.
But she's an educator
herself. Wow.
That is a crazy blanket statement to make.
And that's your niece?
Yeah, it's my niece. You might have to
fight her one time. I write QW.
You might have to fight her one time.
Yeah, I do. We was in the office yesterday.
I mean, we had it out.
All right. My partner's out of Jackson. Now we had it
out. Now I know you from Newark, so don't do nothing crazy.
I know you from Newark.
Yeah.
No, don't judge her because she's from Newark.
Newark parents are a little crazy.
I ain't going to lie.
See, I know how they do.
Newark parents are a little crazy.
I ain't going to lie.
When my son played for the Brick City Lions and we was at a game and we were arguing with
the other team, I know Newark got my back, so I could argue even louder.
Yeah, because you know we just had
14 shooters and about
75. See, you went too far.
I wasn't talking shooting. I was talking argument.
Bye, Mama. Don't shoot nobody. Goodness gracious.
See, I told you Newark a little crazy. Hello, who's this?
Yeah, Jeff.
Don't give your name to Mike
from Piscataway that worked with Dreyfus
for making my wife think he was a friend
and sleep well.
What?
Mike slept with your girl?
Your wife?
Yep.
Wait, I'm confused.
I know exactly what happened, brother.
Yep.
Trying to make her think he's a friend so he can get in on girls.
And he's going to see me.
He's going to have to see me one day, bro.
Yeah.
He's going to get these hands.
And it worked?
I mean, yeah. I mean, he probably was talking to her about this guy right here saying he's
this, he's that. It became a friend. It became
closer than friends. A little closer
than friends and then he smashed.
Yup, Mike. Are you
still with her? Yup.
I feel you, bro. Just don't do
nothing stupid. Don't do nothing that's going to get you locked up. You got kids?
Nah. I know you
want to rip Mike's head off. I know
you want to pop off on Mike.
But don't do nothing that's going to get you locked up.
And then you know what's going to happen?
When you go to jail, Mike going to have your girl.
Yeah.
I understand how you feel.
You want to give Mike five minutes, ten minutes.
But just don't do nothing stupid.
Is she still talking to Mike?
Nah.
You sure?
Yep.
Bro, I know what it is when you start talking short like that.
That means you're about to go see Mike right now.
Just don't do nothing stupid, bro.
All right.
He said that short again.
Goodness gracious.
I got to go.
Mike, if I was you, just don't go home today, Mike.
I'm not saying that he's going to do something,
but when they start one-word answering you, Mike, you're in trouble.
Goodness gracious.
All right.
That was Donkey of the Day.
Up next, Ask Ye. 800. Goodness gracious. All right. That was donkey of the day.
Up next, Ask Yee.
800-585-1051.
You should have helped him out, Yee.
That's what you should have helped him out.
Because he's about to do something stupid today.
I mean, she made a decision to sleep with somebody.
Yeah, I know.
But this dude, he's about to do something stupid.
I can hear it in his voice.
Yeah, it sounds like you need to help him out with that.
Goodness gracious.
Ask Yee is next.
800-585-1051.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
It's time for ASCII.
Hello, who's this?
Hi, this is Janelle Portico.
Hey, Janelle.
What's your question for you?
How do you keep yourself balanced in the midst of a relationship?
Like, when you're a mom, when you're a wife, everything else,
like, how do you still stay grounded in you and what you got going on?
Well, I think that, so talk to me about what the issue is.
Like, you're feeling like you're not being yourself?
Like, I feel like I'm being myself, but I feel like I don't have time to write.
I don't have time to do after school programs. Like, I don't make the time because I'm worried of making sure the house is situated.
I'm worried making sure my husband, my daughter is situated.
Like, I love them, so I put so much energy into them.
Right.
And I don't regret that.
It's just how can I balance, you know, still having time for me?
Like, I've been getting up up earlier and that's been helping,
but even still sometimes I feel like I get mixed up in the sauce
and what I'm trying to do gets put to the side, not by them, but by me.
Well, schedule it just like you schedule everything else in your life.
You know what time you got to pick the kids up.
You know what time you got to do dinner.
You know what time you got to be at work.
You know what time.
Schedule that time for yourself and stick to it
and let everybody know, hey, between 6 and 8 on Tuesday
or whatever days that you pick and have that time allotted for yourself,
pick that time and stick to it.
Put it in the schedule.
And I feel like, but my thing is asking for that time.
It's almost like I don't want to ask for it because I feel like.
Well, you don't have to ask.
You're a grown up.
You don't have to ask. You let I feel like. Well, you don't have to ask. You're a grown up. You don't have to ask.
You let them know.
You let your husband know.
And I'm sure that he does.
He respects you enough to understand that you need that.
For sure.
Because he tells me to do that.
I just don't do it.
Yeah.
It's kind of you putting all this on yourself.
And so I want to see you understand that you deserve it.
You need it.
You earned it.
It's necessary for you to have your sanity.
Because even the reason why you're calling talking about balance is because you don't have it. You need it. You earned it. It's necessary for you to have your sanity because even the reason why you're calling talking about balance is because you don't have it and you're talking
yourself out of it and you've put all these responsibilities on yourself. But guess what?
Life will go on. The world will go on and continue. And I don't want you to wake up and be
like, you know, two years from now, like, man, I should have took that time that I needed.
So I feel like it is it's okay for you to do things for yourself.
It's okay to be selfish.
It's okay to have that time to look forward to.
You just have to figure out how much time is that.
Is it six hours a week?
Is it I'm going to do one hour, you know, three times?
You just have to figure that out, schedule it,
and stick to that schedule and keep that.
No one's stopping you.
Thank you, love.
All right. Yeah, have a No one's stopping you. Thank you, love. All right.
Yeah, have a good one.
You too.
Ask Yee, 805-85-1051.
If you need advice, relationship advice,
any type of advice, call her now.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Get some real advice with Angela Yee.
It's Ask Yee.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee.
Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We're in the middle of Ask Yee.
Hello, who's this?
Yo, yo, what's going on?
It's Jay.
It's Jay.
Jay, what's your question for Yee?
How do I let this lady know that I still love her, I care for her, I could be there to even
help or support her, but she's just not the one for me.
Woo.
Okay, well, it's like ripping a Band-Aid off, right?
Because the longer you stay with somebody who you know you don't want to be with
and who your heart's not in it, the more of a disservice that you're doing to her.
So if you care about her at all as a person, then the sooner you tell her, the better.
And, you know, people always do that, oh, it's not you, it's me type of speech.
But I think you just have to be honest and be like, look, I don't see this going any further than where it is.
And I want you to be happy and find your happiness.
But I respect you as a person.
I have so much love for you.
If you need anything from me, let me know.
But I don't see this progressing.
Yeah, see, the thing is, she don't want no support if she don't have me.
We have a, you know, like, no matter what it is, I can help out with.
Her thing is, like, look, if I ain't your girl, then I don't want your help.
Well, yeah, and there's nothing wrong with that.
And that might be what she needs to cut all ties,
because you're not doing anybody a service by, you know,
you helping her because you feel she's a good person.
You feel guilty because you're not together,
it would be better for you to just cut all ties
because that's the only way she'll be able to move on.
I got you.
I guess I got to rip the band-aid off of myself too.
I appreciate you.
Yeah, absolutely.
And I hope you find happiness.
But like I said,
there's nothing worse than being stuck in a relationship
that you don't want to be in
because I can't imagine she wants to be in it if you're not even wanting to be there.
You can tell.
Yeah.
All right.
All right.
Gotta make that up.
Gotta just gotta do what you have to do sometimes.
Yeah, listen, a lot of the right thing isn't always the easy thing.
Damn, right around Christmas, too?
Shut up, Envy.
Damn it, man.
Envy, I appreciate that. You're right. You know, I don't even want to say nothing. Christmas too? Shut up, Envy. Damn it, man. Envy, I appreciate that.
You're right.
She not only want to say nothing.
Christmas time, though.
Listen, don't nobody.
She's shouting for you and all that.
And she's all excited.
And you're just going to debt her?
Listen, first of all, this is when most people break up is around the holidays.
But don't make her spend one more holiday and have another memory with the person that
you're not going to end up with.
So I can either give her like a nice
dope gift as a goodbye.
You can send her whatever you
want if you want to do that. If your heart
You want to give her a parting gift? If your heart is
in it. Yeah.
What kind of guy are you?
Look, it is what it is.
You don't want to be with her.
Yeah, it is what it is.
I don't know, man.
I just take it day by day, but I got to say something.
Can't wait until Christmas to say it.
Yeah, don't do it.
Don't wait until after Christmas.
My goodness.
All right, brother.
Do it now.
All right, appreciate it.
All right.
Ask Yee, 800-585-1051.
Now, we got rumors on the way.
Let's talk about Kanye and Drake.
They had the Larry Hoover benefit concert happening, and I'll tell you where you can actually watch it. All right, we got rumors on the way. Let's talk about Kanye and Drake. They had the Larry Hoover benefit concert happening.
I'm going to tell you where you can actually watch it.
All right.
We'll get into that next.
Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk Kanye West.
It's about time.
What's going on?
Rumor Report. Rumor Report. going on? Rumor Report
This is the Rumor Report
with Angela Yee
on The Breakfast Club
Alright, well
Amazon Music is going to be
bringing to you the
Larry Hoover Benefit Concert
It's going to be on Amazon Prime and
IMAX with Drake on December
9th. What is that, tomorrow?
That's tomorrow, yep.
That's tomorrow.
So they said this is the first concert Kanye has headlined in five years.
That should be pretty interesting to watch.
You can watch that at...
What you mean?
What?
He's been doing concerts and performances the last, yeah.
Has he headlined?
It was his show.
This is his show, too.
I thought that was his album, Listening.
I guess you're right.
Yeah.
Same difference.
Okay.
Yeah, that's a little different.
It's not like he's been doing other songs when he's been doing his Listenings.
Yeah, you're right.
All right.
So, Larry Hoover Jr. talks about what exactly is going on.
He did say that his father is a little bit worried about the show.
He was on the Drea O Show.
Yeah, he's aware of it. He's a little bit worried about the show. He was on the Drea O Show. Yeah, he's aware of it.
He's a little bit concerned.
He doesn't know how it may affect him.
He's concerned that it may affect him negatively
because it's showing his influence,
but his influence is positive.
All right, so we'll see.
But it is happening, Kanye and Drake,
and that's a huge deal for the two of them.
I think that's dope.
Yes, to be.
I think there's still some tickets available, too.
So definitely get your tickets.
I know my business partner, Cesar, Flippin' New Jersey, he's sitting out there.
He's taking his daughter to see the show.
So they're heading out there today.
I might go to it because I'll be out there, too.
Okay.
All right, now, Juice WRLD.
Tomorrow, by the way, is Juice WRLD Day also.
Just a FYI.
So HBO Max also shared the official trailer for Juice WRLD
into the abyss over the weekend.
And here is a snippet of that for you.
He was so articulating his feelings.
We ain't realize that's the way he feeling
because it's turned into so much beautiful art.
It was hard to separate the two.
You know, you tell your wife that you feel like you got anxiety,
you feel like you got depression,
they don't look at you like you're crazy.
That needs to change, and hopefully I'm one of those people
that can bring that change.
Sometimes it gets overwhelming, but this is what I ask for.
Juice was a therapist for millions of kids,
a voice of that generation.
The documentary
will be on December
16th on
HBO Max. And in addition to that,
like I said, tomorrow is Juice World
Day, so that event is confirmed. It will be
at Chicago's United Center.
It'll be a pre-release listening experience for
his upcoming posthumous album
Fighting Demons and also an exclusive preview
of the HBO documentary Juice
World Into The Abyss. There'll be special
guest performances and appearances.
My son loves Juice Quirrell and his music so
I'm sure he'll be checking it out.
And YK Osiris
so people were
having things to say about him flexing
when he was on Air Drake and sharing
that on social media. Here
it is.
I'm on the Air Drake.
Oh, my God.
And who's doing it like me, man?
Stop playing with me, man.
All right, now, and after that, people were, like, hating on him, I guess,
for posting on Air Drake.
And here's what he had to say about that.
If you n****s was doing the same thing I was doing, y'all would take pictures too.
Y'all do videos too.
Who wouldn't?
F*** y'all crazy.
You better enjoy every moment.
I mean, they need to stop it.
People be taking pictures when they're in Delta Comfort.
They take pictures when they're in first class.
He's on air, Drake.
He gonna take pictures.
Everybody would take pictures too.
All right?
Right.
And I'm sure Drake knew he was doing that.
Absolutely.
All right. Now, Jesse Smollett Drake knew he was doing it. Absolutely.
All right. Now,
Jesse Smollett, we told you he's been testifying in his own trial.
So yesterday he was back
on the stand. And
just so you know, we should have
some type of resolution
to this. Testimony concluded
yesterday and it was more than
five days of testimony. There were
14 witnesses the defense
rested its case the prosecution did not call any rebuttal witnesses so it's really it is his word
versus the the two brothers words that's really what this case is yeah but they do have evidence
right there is there's text messages and things like that it just depends on how you interpret it
correct because the cross-examination continued yesterday and how his version of events
is different than the events
of the two brothers,
Bola and Ola Osundaro.
To be found guilty
should be without a doubt, though, right?
Guilty without a doubt.
Yeah, if there's any doubt, then...
Yeah, he's gonna walk.
All right, so Jesse Smollett
is saying that it was not a staged attack
and that he did not recruit the brothers for a staged attack.
He said he never told them to buy a red hat to look like Trump supporters or any items in particular.
He also said he never told them to do any sort of rehearsal of the alleged fake attack.
If you recall, they were saying that they were driving around and jurors saw footage of the vehicle riding around Smollett's neighborhood, but no one ever got out. So Jesse's explanation is that he was phone texting about doing an interview. And so
he didn't want to do it right then because it was weird that Ola was there. So he told jurors it was
easier to just use the interview as a reason. Well, now we can't really work out. So I'll drive you
back. And they also said that they passed the staircase where the alleged attack unfolded three times during this drive around.
And he said, well, it was around my apartment.
So that's why.
Yeah, with all that, you still got to prove without a doubt that that was the reason.
I mean, because people do things, stupid things.
And in the law, you have to prove without a doubt.
And, you know, there is doubt.
They didn't write on text like, yeah, it worked.
Let's keep it moving.
There's no, you yeah, it worked. Let's keep it moving. There's no phone taps.
One thing that did happen, though,
Special Prosecutor Dan Webb was reading some things from off Instagram.
I've seen this.
And he kept using the N-word.
He was reading messages out loud that included the N-word,
and he kept doing it.
And so Smollett was like,
can you just say the N-word or spell the word out of respect
for every African
American here?
And so I thought that was honorable.
Yeah.
Because that is like, why?
Why would Caucasian prosecutor keep saying?
And then the nigger did this.
No, sir.
Sir.
Come on, sir.
Can you just say the N word?
We know what you mean.
All right.
So, yes.
So I guess we'll find out pretty soon.
Right.
What's going to happen.
We'll keep you updated.
All right.
And that is your rumor report.
All right.
