Starting point is 00:01:45 your favorite shows. On paper, the three hosts of the Nick Dick and Poll show are geniuses. We can explain how AI works, data centers, but there are certain things that we don't necessarily understand. Better version of Play Stupid Games, win Stupid Prizes. Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift who said that for the first time. I actually, I thought it was.
Starting point is 00:02:09 I got that wrong. But hey, no one's perfect. We're pretty close, though. Listen to the Nick, Dick, and Paul show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Saturday, May 2nd, country stars will be in Austin, Texas. Starting point is 00:02:32 That's Ticketmaster.com. I'm a homeguard that knows a little bit about everything and everybody. You know if you're going to lie about that, right? Lauren came in hot. Hey, y'all, what's up? It's Lauren Rosa, and this is another episode of the latest with Lauren Rosa. This is your daily dig on all things, pop culture, entertainment news, and all of the conversations that shake the room, baby.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Now, today, joining us here for the latest is, you know, honestly, I would say she is the latest news, but, I mean, I feel like Candy Bird. has been, you've literally been the topic of discussion in so many different ways my whole life. I was thinking about this as I was preparing. Like, I've never, I've never not known, since I've been working in entertainment, I've never had a year where I'm pitching news stories, I'm covering news or breaking exclusives. And Candy was not one of the artists that the outlet or the newsroom care for. Like I literally never. You've always been in the cycle.
Starting point is 00:03:31 How does that feel? I mean, sometimes it's a good thing. sometimes it's a bad thing. So I guess, you know, I guess it's good. I don't know. I got you. What they say? If ain't nobody's talking about you, then you ain't doing nothing.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Exactly. Well, I mean, I guess we could get right on into it. Today, there was news that broke that your divorce from Todd was finalized. So how are you today? I've seen interviews where you said some days you're up, some days you're down. How are you feeling today with, you know, the final? news hitting today? Um, I'm okay.
Starting point is 00:04:08 You know, it was a little weird for me, you know, when my lawyer hit me and said it was final. I was like, it feels awkward. You know what I'm saying? It's kind of strange because it's like, you know, we've been married for over 10 years now. And we're still, you know, communicating, you know what I'm saying? So it just feels weird that, you know, like we're. really not together, I guess, and that I'm not like planning for the future no more. It's like crazy. So I want to back up a bit before we get into the settlement that is, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:50 being discussed in news because that has also been a very big part of what we know about candy for a lot of the time, right? From real housewives to, you know, candy-coated knives to every your businesses to your beautiful family. Todd has always been a part of that conversation with you. How did we get here? Like, I haven't seen you say, I saw you say like there was an event that happened, but to this day, I'm still like, what the hell happened? Friend, you know, what I will say is I'll discuss more about it in the one woman show
Starting point is 00:05:27 that I'm doing. And I do, I did, I don't. I'm definitely going to address it there. Like, I don't want to give away too much now as far as, like, the details of that. You know what I mean? Obviously, there are certain things that came of our divorce, I guess, in the day or yesterday that was more public. But, like, my personal feelings and how I got to this point, I'm going to share that in that moment. Because I kind of feel like me, I'm always doing, like, the way I vent, I always vent creatively.
Starting point is 00:05:58 You know what I'm saying? Whether it's through some of the songs I wrote, you know, that I've used to vent past frustrations or relationships or, you know, maybe some of the times. Well, even like when I did a mother's love play, you know, that was what was going on at the time or the dungeon tour. That was, you know, venting from a situation that happened. So I always vent creatively. So I want to save that for that experience I'm putting together. So when it comes to Like the settlement itself
Starting point is 00:06:30 I know you said that you were fighting to keep All of this sealed so y'all didn't have to answer to media And not even that you've got an answer too But just so we wouldn't know everything right Like why would the other side Why would Todd not want it to be sealed? I couldn't understand it for a minute You know what I mean
Starting point is 00:06:48 But I think You know the way he explained it to me Was that He wanted it to be clear Like he wasn't trying to take me for everything I had or something like that, you know what I mean? Because I think, you know, obviously that is the narrative, you know, always, you know, people always want to like, as far as even when our relationship the whole time,
Starting point is 00:07:15 we've been together, it's like that's the narrative, you know what I mean? And although, you know, there were things, you know, that were, I guess, said as, I don't know. I don't want to say threats, but as, you know, possibilities of things that could happen when they were first filing things. That was never,
Starting point is 00:07:36 him fighting a pre-nup was never a conversation they had with me or never a conversation that was had with my attorney. So I think overall, I guess at the end of the day, when it was all set and done, I guess he just felt like he wanted it to be clear like,
Starting point is 00:07:53 you know, he didn't try to, make anything financially. But what not, I mean, there is, so in the settlement, there is a lump sum. It's a little bit over $400,000. And then there's like, you guys split up cars and real estate. It doesn't mention anything about your businesses. But so how do you guys then get to that? So we saw this was hard, right?
Starting point is 00:08:20 It was like, in real life, I'm watching you guys. And I saw he came over, not came over. I mean, it's your child's father, your children's father. I saw you guys were together for the holidays. I saw when you posted your one woman show, he jokingly supported that and said, you know, yes, ain't done. Laugh out loud. Go support my girl, right? But then when the docs are filed, it seems like there's an argument about, you know, custody and how that works.
Starting point is 00:08:43 And in the settlement, it seems like you guys are 50-50 down the middle. But there's an argument about custody. It seems like there was an argument about, you know, where I'm flipping. There, well, at the end of the day, I mean, as far as our custody is going to, we are joint custody. I know everybody said they tried to report something else last week, which was not true. Okay. Like, we would still be in court if that was, if it was anything else.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Let me just say that. That's why it was confusing. It was confusing because people were reporting lies last week. Gotcha. Okay. And so that was, I think that's also a thing for me that was so frustrating through this whole process. It's like, whenever anything is open, it leads it to people. interpretation and you got bloggers who really want to just be the first to report a story.
Starting point is 00:09:31 So they'll just say anything without any type of real information. They'll make up stuff and go to the public and people be so quick to want to be first to post that they'll just run with whatever they heard. Now, what was actually reported in the filing at the end of the day, the final thing, that is what is real. Like all that other stuff is fake news, as they say. we are joint you know everything is split
Starting point is 00:09:58 evenly even when it comes to the financial part of it we have properties together that we had to split equally and you know basically it's just so we just have to end up with equal equity and so you know as far as like
Starting point is 00:10:18 I mean I guess it said who got wet properties you know if I ended up with one more I just had to pay the difference So we are still equal in what we got. It's just because I ended up with more on the property side, then I just paid the difference of. So it's not like I had to pay him. You get what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:10:37 I got you. But in the settlement, I'm going off of what TMZ is reporting. And from what they're reporting, they're reporting a number. I believe it's like $400, $426,000. Right. What I'm saying is if you read the whole thing, which I guess it's open to the public. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:57 We have to be equal in the equity that we have and the properties that we own together. Gotcha. Okay, so that's separate. We have to be equal in what we both take out of the properties. So if we didn't sell the properties and we just did it based of, well, I'm going to take these two, you take whatever, but my properties may be worth more than I have to pay the difference
Starting point is 00:11:19 so that we're both still equal. Gotcha. Canadian women are looking for more. More out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world are out of them. And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast. I'm Jennifer Stewart. And I'm Catherine Clark. And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women.
Starting point is 00:11:40 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey. So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us. Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on IHeart Radio or wherever you listen to your podcasts. A silver 40 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene. From I-Heart podcasts and Best Case Studios, this is Rorschach, murder at City Hall. How could this have happened in City Hall? Somebody tell me that. July 2003, Councilman James E. Davis arrives at New York City Hall with a guest.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Both men are carrying concealed weapons. And in less than 30 minutes, both of them will be dead. Now, everybody in the chambers ducts. A shocking public murder. I scream, get down, get down. Those are shots. Those are shots, get down. A charismatic politician.
Starting point is 00:12:43 You know, he just bent the rules all the time. I still have a weapon. And I could shoot you. And an outsider with a secret. He alleged he was a victim of blackdown. That may or may not have been political. That may have been about sex. Listen to Rorschach, murder at City Hall,
Starting point is 00:13:02 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Lori Siegel, a long-time tech journalist. And consider my new podcast, mostly human, your bridge to the future. Anyone can now be an entrepreneur, anyone can build an app. And it's very empowering. Each week, I'll speak to the people building that future. And we're going to break down what all of this innovation actually means for you. What I come to realize is that when people think that they're dating these AI companion,
Starting point is 00:13:33 they're actually dating the companies that create this. We're experiencing one of the greatest tech accelerations in human history. And let's be honest, that can be messy. There's no playbook for what to do when an AI model hallucinates a story about you. But it's my belief that we should all benefit from this moment. Mostly human will show you how. My goal is to give you the playbook, so you can benefit. The reason I say agency is because if we can give power,
Starting point is 00:14:03 back to people, then I think that's probably the best thing we can do for your mental health. Listen to Mostly Human on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. I went and sat on the little Ottoman in front of him. I said, hi, dad. And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen. She says, I have some cookies and milk. This is this badass convict.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Right. Just finished five years. I'm going to have cookies and milk. Damn on. On the Sino Show podcast, each episode invites you into a raw, unfiltered conversations about recovery, resilience, and redemption. On a recent episode, I sit down with actor, cultural icon Danny Trail, talk about addiction, transformation, and the power of second chances. The entire season two is now available to binge featuring powerful conversations with the guests like Tiffany Addish, Johnny Knoxville, and more. I'm an alcoholic.
Starting point is 00:15:04 And without this trouble, I'm going to die. Open your free IHAR radio app. Search the Cino Show. And listen now. This is Amy Roboc alongside T.J. Holmes from the Amy and T.J. podcast. And there is so much news, information, commentary coming at you all day and from all over the place. What's fact? What's fake?
Starting point is 00:15:28 And sometimes, what the F. So let's cut the crap, okay? Follow the Amy and T.J. podcast, a one-stop news. news and pop culture shop to get you caught up and on with your day. And listen to Amy and TJ on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. And then when you talk about like, when you talk about like people reporting things, right,
Starting point is 00:15:51 I noticed that at first, because I was watching you, you were on your Amazon Live show that you do. And you were very much like, you just didn't want to talk about it at the time. But the fans were there. They were asking questions in the comments and you didn't get into it. But then you kind of started to. you know, talk a bit more, and I know you said it was because things were being reported wrong. What was like the craziest thing that you saw throughout this whole time where you were like,
Starting point is 00:16:14 this is the dumb shit? Like, this is why I didn't want to end up here in the first place. Like, what was the craziest thing you saw? Man, it was so much crazy stuff. Like I said, you know, overall, I'm going to, I will even address some of them bloggers in that one woman show that I'm doing. I mean? Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Yes. But like I said, I'm really going to put it all into that show. So, you know, we're going to take it to multiple cities and people will be able to see for themselves. But, I mean, just still, you know, just in fairness to speak on what is factual that you just saw. Yeah. I mean, you know, and the difference of this week and last week, you know, last week they were saying, I was paying $2 million. You commented on that. I saw you commented on that one, right?
Starting point is 00:17:03 Was that the one you commented on? You commented on something and was like, this is not true. or you came out and mentioned, like, maybe that was, I saw your interview. Maybe I did on, maybe I did on one. I don't know. There's so many people reported with child. I don't remember. I was so annoyed.
Starting point is 00:17:17 And in fairness, he was annoyed, too, you know what I mean? It wasn't like, I was the only one annoyed. We both were annoyed that, you know, that's what people were running with because it was just, like, totally made up, you know what I mean? But throughout the situation, you know, people. It was one time, like, I had said something about, it was like an AI video, an AI of my voice talking, like, if it was a statement I was making and they were like flashing pictures of us together. And I was like, whoa, like, it really sounded like me. You know what I mean? So I think I posted,
Starting point is 00:17:56 like, I think I said something about how, like, I was so frustrated with this whole AI thing. and it's so crazy to me how people be like, yeah, well, you're the one that's talking about and I'm like, yeah, it's such a catch-22 situation because if you don't say anything, then like if one blog reports it, then all of them pick it up and it's everywhere. You know, my mama, and I have to answer to my mama,
Starting point is 00:18:25 you know what I mean? My mama's like, why are these people saying? And I'm like, I don't know. We know Mama Joyce, honey. You got to, you have to answer. to her, okay? Right, but I'm just saying it's like she's been supportive through the situation I'll say that, but it's just kind of like, it's a catch 22. So if you don't really reply, then, you know, people are spreading the wrong narrative. And then if you do, then it's just
Starting point is 00:18:48 kind of like, then people like, oh, why she always got to feel like she got to respond. And it's just like, you know what? I can't win for losing in the situation. But at the end of the day, we're, you know, we're going to try to still come away from this situation and be the best co-parents that we could be. You know what I mean? It's like we had our personal drama, which, you know, obviously that wasn't as public because neither one of us really spoke on the details of that. but just publicly, you know, at the end of the day, we're still going to try to be cool, still do things, you know, with our kids together, you know, because we want our kids to be happy.
Starting point is 00:19:38 You know, we still want them to feel connected on both sides, you know. Canadian women are looking for more, more to themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world are at them. And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast. I'm Jennifer Stewart. And I'm Catherine Clark. And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women. Starting point is 00:20:05 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us. Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on Iheart Radio or wherever you listen to your podcasts. A silver 40 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene. From IHeart podcasts and Best Case Studios. This is Worshack. murder at City Hall. How could this have happened in City Hall? Starting point is 00:20:34 July 2003, Councilman James E. Davis arrives at New York City Hall with a guest. Both men are carrying concealed weapons. And in less than 30 minutes, both of them will be dead. Now, everybody in the chamber
Starting point is 00:20:54 docked. A shocking public murder. A scream, get down, get down. Those are shots. Those are shots. Get down. A charismatic politician. You know, he just bent the rules all the time.
Starting point is 00:21:04 I still have a weapon, and I could shoot you. And an outsider with a secret. He alleged he was a victim of blackmail. That may or may not have been political. That may have been about sex. Listen to Rorschach, murder at City Hall, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Lori Siegel, a longtime tech journalist. Starting point is 00:21:36 Anyone can now be an entrepreneur, anyone can build an app, and it's very empowering. Each week, I'll speak to the people building that future, and we're going to break down what all of this innovation actually means for you. What I come to realize is that when people think that they're dating these AI companion, they're actually dating the companies that create this. We're experiencing one of the greatest tech accelerations in human history, and let's be honest, that can be messy. There's no playbook for what to do when it's.
Starting point is 00:22:06 AI model hallucinates a story about you. But it's my belief that we should all benefit from this moment. Mostly Human will show you how. My goal is to give you the playbook, so you can benefit. The reason I say agency is because if we can give power back to people, then I think that's probably the best thing we can do for your mental health. Listen to Mostly Human on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows.
Starting point is 00:22:36 I wouldn't stand on the little ottoman in front of them. Hi, Dad. And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen, she says, I have some cookies and milk. This is a badass convict. Right. Just finished five years. I'm going to have cookies and milk at my mom.
Starting point is 00:22:55 Yeah. On the Seno Show podcast, each episode invites you into a raw, unfiltered conversations about recovery, resilience, and redemption. On a recent episode, I sit down with actor, cultural icon Danny Trail to talk about addiction, transformation, and the power of second chances. The entire season two is now available to binge featuring powerful conversations with the guests like Tiffany Addish, Johnny Knoxville, and more. I'm an alcoholic. And without this trouble, I'm going to die.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Open your free IHAR radio app. Search the Cito Show and listen now. Hey there, folks. Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes here. And we know there is a lot of news coming at you these days from the war with Iran to the ongoing Epstein fallout, government shutdowns, high-profile trials, and what the hell is that Blake lively thing about anyway? We are on it every day, all day. Follow us, Amy and TJ for news updates throughout the day. Listen to Amy and TJ on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. How tough is that for you, for both of you guys emotionally, though?
Starting point is 00:24:09 because like you said you were talking about as recent as I mean as soon as spring break that's in a couple weeks right on our anniversary yes so how does Todd and Candy who have been this unit through good bad up down left right for all of these years just casually get together and do spring break with the kids and it not being an emotional roller coaster even if behind the closed doors away from the kids realistically we're still figuring it up like that's all I can say because I don't really have an answer on that. Yeah. So how does it work now with like, you know, there was a whole guest house living in the guest house conversation. He needs to leave the guest house. And they said candy was up there evicted people. That's how they were reporting the documents.
Starting point is 00:24:58 And see it out. Once again, I'm definitely going to have to address. I will address all of that in my one woman show. But it is what it is. it is, you know, I think for me, it was like, okay, it's a gradual separation. Okay, got you. Meaning, like, you know, you're mad, so, you know, it's like you, as a woman, you know, a lot of women just first, I'd be like, get out, da-da-da-da-ta-take-you-all, you know,
Starting point is 00:25:36 all that stuff, right? But then on the other side of that coin is like, I got kids. So how do we do this in a way to where it's not a drastic change for them? So, you know, figuring all that stuff out is, you know, I don't want to say that, you know, we know all the right things to do. Just like anybody that's going through a divorce, well, now our divorce is final. but like anybody that's going through a divorce that was something that we were trying to figure out what's the best way to go about it
Starting point is 00:26:16 and that was just the way we went about it have you had conversations with I know your kids are young Ace Blaze you know I know they're young but like have you had conversations with them yet or you guys have started to at all about kind of what that will look like you know because it will be so different for them um
Starting point is 00:26:31 Todd and I are going to be discussing that how we're going to do the talk like you know how to navigate next steps basically you know what I mean um like I said we don't really we don't know the perfect way to go about it we're we're in the process of figuring out like even this conversation right now with me and you was way too soon you know what I mean um we can at any time if you feel like this is triggering for you we can definitely stop down you know there's no pressure you know what I mean yeah yeah I don't you know I'm not
Starting point is 00:27:10 I'm not like that, but yeah, it is. I mean, I guess, yeah, it would be kind of triggering that point. You know what I'm saying? So, yeah. I mean, I don't want to keep going deep into it. I think I said pretty much what I needed to say about the situation is, like, at the end of the day, and I are definitely trying to figure this out. Overall, you know, I personally wouldn't have wanted every single.
Starting point is 00:27:40 single thing to play out in front of the public the way it did. Right. But it is what it is. I mean, I don't really know how, I don't know how we could have done it differently. I mean, yeah. You can't harp on that, though. At this point, you know, y'all here, you just got to, like, keep yourself together. I just feel for you because I started the interview with talking about, you know, how much
Starting point is 00:28:10 of a topic and a conversation you, your life, your businesses, your marriage, your family has been for all of these decades to kind of, you know, get back here at the ending of it to say, I think a lot of us feel for you, and feel for both of y'all because we've watched both of you guys together because it is so public and everyone's so attached to your life. And this is something that if you could choose, I'm sure you would want people to disattach so you can kind of just go through it. But everyone's been so attached for so long. So there's like, there's probably a whole other layer of like, oh my God, you know, like you got to get up. Like everybody is just, it's a lot. It's a lot of noise, a lot of people. So, you know. I understand it.
Starting point is 00:28:49 I mean, that's what somebody said to me. They were like, Candy, you know, everybody's been watching your journey the whole time. So, you know, you can't feel away because everybody, you know, want to, is invested. And I'm like, true. So with that being said, you know, I'm not, you know, I'm not. overly, you know, upset or anything. It's just like it is upsetting when you're going through something and then, you know, people like taking information and making up stuff.
Starting point is 00:29:20 And like I said, for me, I just be feeling like, well, what was the point in making that up? Like, it's just to me, it's not like it was so they could be the first to report something. Because clearly, at the time they were saying that stuff last week, just to use that part as an example, because it's been stuff. the whole time. This was the $20 thing? Yeah, that and the child support, all that. Like, we don't need, we're not even doing child support. But it's just like, our stuff haven't even filed, the final thing hadn't even filed with the court. And they was reporting that the day before. So it's like, huh, where are you getting this from? What you're reading off of?
Starting point is 00:29:57 Like, when I saw the final settlement, I was like, this is so different than what I thought, because I'm like everybody else, you know, and I'm trying to like talk directly to you, but, You know, I respect. If y'all are like not right now, I respect that. But trying to do as much as I can to kind of see through the noise, I'm like, I was so confused. I was like, okay, the settlement seems like very amicable and like fair in 50-50. But everything leading up to this point, it was like, is it, is it not? Like, are they like we were, it was, it was all, it was being reported all over the place.
Starting point is 00:30:27 So I was very confused. Like, but I did see. I was still. Because when I saw, I saw no spouse support, no child support. It was a 50-50 split on the custody. I'm like, that sounds like they both came together and were adults and y'all, y'all, y'all good, y'all are good enough at least to understand what needs to be done. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:45 I mean, I think overall, you know, out of respect to the marriage, I would say that, you know, he and I, we did some great things together, you know what I'm saying? We, we had some great success together. So with that being said, like for us, we need to just split that. You know what I mean? know, and I feel like some people just wanted it. Like, some people just wanted him to go for everything I had in life. Some people wanted all of that to happen.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Yeah. But, I mean, realistically, it was, that was never a conversation. You know what I mean? And, yeah, that's all I mean, that's all I'll say about that for now. I mean, do we have disagreements about certain things? well, probably one thing that was, like, really going back and forth about. I mean, overall. You can't tell us that.
Starting point is 00:31:43 That's going to be in a one woman show, too. Yep. It's going to be in a one. I'm sorry to do it like that, but, like, overall, like, you know, I didn't really even, like, plan to even talk about it more prior to then. But obviously. To be fair, you didn't plan the divorce either. I saw you say you were planning for the rest of your life.
Starting point is 00:32:04 this can you did not this was it's not like there were things that just got here you were not planning for this at all this time last year so no this time last year that that was the last thing on my mind like this time last year we was living our best life planning our future like yeah so that's when you ask me how do I feel about it I think about dang in one year how my life has changed you know yeah well so that's triggering so with that I don't want to talk about it Not at all. All right. Well, I appreciate you for joining me. I do hope you guys take it to other cities because I know you're doing it and you're doing your one woman show in Atlanta at the city winery. It's sold out already though, right? Are you adding more nights? It already sold out, but we are adding more dates. So I would say everybody be on the lookout. I am having more dates for that right now. I'm super excited. It's going to be so good, y'all. I can't wait for you see it. But adding more dates to I do. I did. I'm don't. Monday, the production that I'm producing on. August Wilson's in August Wilson's Joe Turner's
Starting point is 00:33:08 Come and Gone starring Taraji P. Hanson and Sedger and the turning it directed by Debbie Allen and that starts on Monday. That's on, is that Broadway? Yes. Yes, because she came to our show and was telling us about a new show that she was doing. She is.
Starting point is 00:33:22 I remember that. Yeah, okay, I got to go see. It's a blessing to have her as the director. I'm a producer on that, you know. So are you going to be at the shows in New York too while it's happening or do you kind of produce it? You're ready in there. Yeah, as a producer, I don't have to be at every show.
Starting point is 00:33:38 So I'll come to some of them. But, yeah, I don't have to be at all of them. It ain't the same as being in it. Shout out to Saraji and Cedric. I'm going to go see that. They got to be there at eight shows. But, yeah, so that. And then also the next move meetup is what I'm doing with.
Starting point is 00:33:59 It's like people who about their business. You know, I want to talk about more about opportunities. and how to just take things on their next move. You had one of those when you were here in New York, didn't you? The next move met up, no, well, I did it virtually. Okay. So I was in the work, but I did it virtually. Yeah, I thought I'm going to do some more.
Starting point is 00:34:21 We are, we may possibly do that in other cities, but virtually we're going to be mean up every month. I was like, realistically, all this stuff talking about divorce, we might have to have a meetup on how to protect yourself, and all those different things too. You know what I mean? The girls are con. This is,
Starting point is 00:34:38 it's very unfortunate to have to watch you guys go through this. But I think a lot of people are also watching you too because we've always known you to be a woman about her business. Like, you know, like that's, you've been that way for so long. So watching you kind of navigate the space, not even just like protecting your money,
Starting point is 00:34:55 but of course that or protecting yourself, not to make him the enemy. But more so just like how you've been carrying it. Like even when you have conversations about it, It's still very much like, it's you, it's your truth, but it's very respectful of the situation. And, you know, I think that's definitely something that people that are going through the situation are going to watch and be like, you know, this is why we love candy. Well, overall, what I will say, what I can say, that you ain't got to worry about waiting to the show is that, you know, realistically, I would love for us all to be mature about how we handle breakups. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:35:33 Because at the end of the day, it's like, obviously, as business women, as businessmen, you got to protect yourself. That's straight up right off the top. And I'm going to tell anybody that protects yourself right off the rip because that kind of limits the conversation of what we got to debate about. You get what I'm saying? Yeah. And then also, it's like try to be, even if you have personal fallouts, especially if you have kids, like we got grown kids and little kids. You know what I mean? so we got to be we got to be respectful of how we handle it because all our kids we want
Starting point is 00:36:07 they're all sisters and brothers and we want them to feel like connected still like feel like family and we don't want our drama to spill over into how they're feeling you know that's true so you know I would say to anybody that's going through a breakup or divorce whatever it may be try to be very mature on how you move. You know what I'm saying? Because at the end of the day, that's affecting your kids. So, yeah, I might be bad, right?
Starting point is 00:36:39 I might be acting a fool of it at times, but they don't never need to see, they never need to see that, you know, and it shouldn't affect them. So that's how I'm moving, and I hope, you know, if anybody takes something from the situation, looking out from the outside, looking in.
Starting point is 00:36:58 I would say you take that. I Heart Radio is throwing it back. 20s, the decade. To the days of huge hits. An unforgettable anthems. A non-stop stream of the biggest and best. Drake, Rihanna, Beyonce, Katie Gaga, the weekend. And more.

Find 2010's The Decade on the free Eye Heart Radio app, preset the station, so it's always one tap away. Ten, ten shots five, City Hall building. A silver 40 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene.
Starting point is 00:37:41 From I-Heart podcasts and Best Case Studios, this is Worshack, murder at City Hall. How could this have happened in City Hall? Somebody tell me that. July 2003, Councilman James E. Davis arrives at New York City Hall with a guest. both men are carrying concealed weapons and in less than 30 minutes both of them will be dead now everybody in the chamber's duct
Starting point is 00:38:11 a shocking public murder I scream, get down, get down those are shots, those are shots get down a charismatic politician you know he just bent the rules all the time I still have a weapon and I could shoot you and an outsider with a secret
Starting point is 00:38:28 he alleged he was a victim of Blackmail. That may or may not have been political. That may have been about sex. Listen to Roershack, murder at City Hall on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Lori Siegel, a longtime tech journalist. What I come to realize is that when people think that they're dating these AI companion, they're actually dating the companies that create this.
Starting point is 00:39:12 We're experiencing one of the greatest tech accelerations in human history. And let's be honest, that can be messy. There's no playbook for what to do when an AI model hallucinates a story about you. But it's my belief that we should all benefit from this moment. Mostly human will show you how. My goal is to give you the playbook. so you can benefit. The reason I say agency is because if we can give power back to people,
Starting point is 00:39:40 then I think that's probably the best thing we can do for your mental health. Listen to mostly human on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him. Hi, Dad. And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen. She says, I have some cookies and milk. This is his badass.
Starting point is 00:40:06 convict me just finished five years. I'm going to have cookies and milk at mom. This is Amy Roboc alongside TJ Holmes from the Amy and TJ podcast. And there is so much news, information, commentary coming at you all day and from all over the place.
Starting point is 00:41:02 What's fact? What's fake? And sometimes what the F. So let's cut the crap, okay? follow the Amy and T.J. podcast, a one-stop news and pop culture shop to get you caught up and on with your day. And listen to Amy and T.J. on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. One more question, because I didn't even think about Kayla and, am I saying Kayla's name right? Yeah, Kayla. Kayla and Riley, right? Because, yeah, like, the older babies, not big babies, your older daughters, they're out in the world. You know, Riley has her show.
Starting point is 00:41:37 they're on social media. They're doing press for certain things. I saw you on Riley on the carpet. Like, yeah, like that's a whole different other side of it because they're, you can't even hide anything at that point because they're in the world themselves. So when these reports and those things are happening, like, I mean, I'll take it all the way back to the very beginning when things are being reported. There was the report of infidelity, right?
Starting point is 00:42:02 And you have your two older women, not women, but I mean, I guess you, do you consider, than women yet? Like, or you consider them women? They're women to the world. They still out. Okay. You know how that goes. Yeah. But, okay, so you have your two girls who, that's a different conversation for them with dad and for them with mom and, like, whether it's true or not, how
Starting point is 00:42:21 that has to be like even more challenging than trying to figure out the conversation with the babies because you don't have a choice. It kind of is, like, out there for them. Yeah. God's conversation was with our older daughters. um really realistically um but i know overall i just try to just say hey y'all you know we don't want
Starting point is 00:42:59 y'all to feel effective about what's going on with us you know let's you know let's try to move forward and we got to still you know be respectfully at each other and it's going to be fine let us deal with it you know what i mean yeah so um yeah yeah well look look keep me posted on the dates I want to come to the show so I can be able to I want you to come in my report it yeah we try to put one together in New York too so the dates will be coming very soon and I know you mentioned when you add more dates for the people to look out where do they look out I mean of course they're following you on our socials but is there a website for the one one woman show or do you have a
Starting point is 00:43:40 personal site I do have a personal site it's candy.com K-a-n-d-com but also you know follow me on also And I'll be telling people text me on my phone number because I always text my text family first. And that is easy. You can just text me at 404-458-9464. 404-458-9464. And I always send them the text witness coming to let them know. Like I told my text group, like I always say my text family, I told them like two days before the tickets went on sale that.
Starting point is 00:44:19 It was going to be a one-woman show coming. So maybe that's why the tickets went so quick. Yes, because I'm like, dang, we didn't even have a shot. Because I didn't even post it. I just did it to my text family first and then Facebook. I didn't even post it like on Instagram and everything. But I mean, I think that that just, you know, the people are locked in. It's just that.
Starting point is 00:44:43 And I appreciate that too. Y'all got to understand. I feel like, I appreciate the love. But you got to say sometimes when you really going through something, it'd be a lot of negativity and a lot of hate that be online. And you know, and then you see like when something's negative posted, it seems like some people get excited about that. Like some people really was like out here acting like they was excited that they thought that, oh, he going to do this, he going to do that. He said, you what? To who?
Starting point is 00:45:22 But anyway, let me say much love to tie. I feel like I'm so glad that this little part is done. Because I feel like he and I are really going to be the best of co-parents. And we're going to be cool. Like I'm really a chill person and he is too. So I feel like we're going to be cool, especially now that everything is, you know, is what it is. You know what I mean? It's like, no emotion.
Starting point is 00:45:53 So we're not going to see y'all. Like there's no doubling back. It's just, it's done just co-parenting. I'm such a Taurus. Gotcha. For those of you who don't know what that means, that means when you locked in, you're locked in and when you are done, baby, that person has never existed. Well, besides hearing.
Starting point is 00:46:12 Normally it's like that for me. Yeah. But in this situation, you know, because, you know, we're still going to be connected It's a life, so, you know, we're always going to be friends. We always going to be communicating. We're always going to be good. Right. On that.
Starting point is 00:46:29 But no spinning the block, y'all, okay? It's not going to happen. Well, I thank you for joining me. I know you got a lot going on right now, and I'm probably the last person you wanted to, you know, hear from right now. I was like, what are we doing? I appreciate it. Look, this is just me trying to make sure we have all correct information. And I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:46:49 The secrets club on the podcast. I tried my hardest, yo. People would be like, you always into, no, I'm just trying to make sure I got it right. I appreciate. But the people who really was really trying not to just report anything about our situation, I appreciate y'all. And I'm thankful for that because I know it probably was hard because I'm like, some people just doing it just to get clicks and, you know, they don't care what they say about us.
Starting point is 00:47:15 But the people who really kind of like, you know what, I'm not really going to say any thing and so we have real information. I appreciate that. Well, we've always hold you down and you got to come when you add them or dates. Make sure you got to come to the show. They want you to come in the studio. So, you know, we will talk to you soon.
