Or maybe not.
No country willingly gives up their territory.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.

Impacting the culture.
They wake up in the morning and they want to hear that Breakfast Club.
The world's most dangerous morning show.
We in the mother, We in the... Good morning, Angela Yee.
Good morning, JT Envy.
Charlamagne Tha God.
Peace to the planet.
Guess what day it is.
Guess what day it is.
Pump day.
Middle of the work week.
How you feel?
I feel like I've been working all week so far.
Okay, okay.
Me too.
Yeah, we missed you at the juice bar yesterday, Envy.
Yeah, I was running around
crazy yesterday. I kept saying, yeah, he's on
his way, he's on his way.
And yesterday was a tough day. I was running around,
had some things to take care of, but we'll be
there all day today. I'm leaving, actually
as soon as I leave here, I'm going straight over there. I actually need
some juice in my life.
Yeah, I'm a little tired too. I was in Syracuse all day
yesterday, man. Salute to the Capos at Syracuse
and salute to the National Association of Black Journalists at Syracuse University.
They had a conversation with Charlemagne yesterday.
That's what they called it.
Okay, let me tell you something.
A lot of great, great journalists went to Syracuse University.
Really?
Like who?
They have a great broadcasting program.
You know, when you go into their broadcasting building, they have the pictures up on the wall.
You didn't see all that of all the people that went there that graduated
from Syracuse? I didn't see.
I mean, I like all the energy there. I like the kids there.
I like all the kids that are majoring in
journalism and want to be radio personalities
and want to be television personalities
and want to be producers and directors
and all that. Drop one of Clues Bomb for Syracuse
University, damn it. Salute
to y'all. Thank you.
Appreciate you for having me.
Yes.
Then I drove back because there was no flight
that was out that late.
So I had a car service
bring me back last night.
How long was that drive?
Four hours?
I'm going to tell you
some people who went there.
Four hours.
Yes, which I was telling
y'all yesterday.
I almost went to Syracuse.
That's why I know.
Dick Clark went there.
Never heard of him.
All right.
Marv Albert went there.
Never heard of him.
But a lot of really great people went there.
Nope, don't know none of these people.
Bob Costas.
Nope, don't know him.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
Carmelo Anthony went there, though.
Drop on the cool bombs for Melo, my man.
No, Miss Jones went there, too.
Really?
Miss Jones went there.
Miss Jones went to Syracuse.
No, I'm lying.
I know all of those legendary people.
I would hope so.
I didn't know Miss Jones went there, too.
Miss Jones went to Syracuse. Wow, Sarah, y'all got a lot of pressure in that Syracuse journalism department, I'm lying. I know all of those legendary people Angel E just said. I didn't know Miss Jones went there too. Miss Jones went to Syracuse.
Wow, Syracuse. Y'all got a lot of pressure in that
Syracuse journalism department then.
And no wonder y'all had the money to have me there.
Drop on the clues box for that check clearing. There you go.
Hey, man. I do it for
the kids, but it's even better when you can do it for the kids and get
paid for it. Alright.
Well, Jeezy will be in the
building. Young! Pastor Young will be
here. We'll kick it with Jeezy.
We'll chop it up with Jeezy.
See everything that's going on with him.
He's back to his snowman ways.
Yeah.
He was Pastor Young, you know, maybe about a year ago.
Church in the Streets about a year ago.
My love, Jeezy's one of my top seven favorite artists of all time.
I tell y'all that all the time.
Yes.
But, you know, he's back to his snowman ways.
Right.
It's always good to talk to Jeezy when he drops a project.
I like to see the evolution of Jeezy.
Okay.
I mean, he came a long way from being that guy on that board.
Yeah, Jeezy's new album's coming out on the 28th.
28th of October, that's right.
I've seen that BMF documentary.
You know the board I'm talking about.
That board, and they put all your pictures up.
But you're about to get locked up for doing something.
There you go.
He was on that board.
Meeting him in the middle, and then he came a long way from that board.
We'll talk to him about all that later on.
All right, but the front page news, what are we talking about, Yee?
We'll talk about several students who were shot outside of San Francisco High School.
Okay.
We'll get into all that when we come back.
Let's get the show cracking.
This is Drake Riri.
It's Too Good.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
You take my love for granted.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get in some front-page news to start off with sports.
Got the Dodgers beat the Cubs 6-0.
They take a 2-1 series lead against the, uh, who are they playing?
The Cubs?
Okay, against the Cubs.
The Indians and the Blue Jays play game five tonight.
And the NFL ratings are down big time.
Except for when the Cowboys play.
Especially when the Cowboys play.
Well, they're saying the ratings are down 11% for the first six weeks of the season
when you compare it to what was going on last year.
Some people are saying it's because of the debates.
Because the first debate ran opposite of the Falcons-New Orleans Saints
Monday night football matchup in September.
And the second debate was a New York Giants-Green Bay Packers Sunday night primetime clash.
And that first debate had 84 million viewers.
Yeah, that's what I was going to ask.
What football program is it?
Thursday night football, Monday night football, Sunday night?
Because you're not going to make me believe that Sunday during the day ratings are down.
Yeah, it was Sunday night that it was down.
But they're saying also the protests, the national anthem protests by certain players
have perhaps affected that as well.
You ain't no football fan if them protests make you stop watching your football team.
That's a damn lie.
I don't care who you are.
I don't care if you for the protests or against the protests.
You're going to watch your team play.
Well, according to the owner of the Colts, Jim Ursa, he said, I think it's the wrong venue.
It hasn't been a positive thing, but we all have to be aware of as players, owners, PR people,
equipment managers, is when the lights
go on, we are entertainment, we are being paid to put on
a show. There are other places to express
yourself. Don't listen to that. That is a lie.
That is their way of trying to deter you from
protesting. There is nobody turning off a
football game because players are protesting.
Not if you're a diehard football fan. Absolutely
not. Not at all. Absolutely not.
Let's talk about San Fran High School.
Man, this was a horrible tragedy.
The cops in San Francisco are looking for four men.
They opened fire outside of a high school in San Francisco.
This was yesterday afternoon.
Four students were injured.
One of them was injured critically.
They're saying it was one girl and three young men.
And they're trying to figure out who was the target.
They say the girl who was shot may have
been targeted. She's the one that is in critical
condition. So it's four
people they're looking for. They're wearing dark hoodies
and jeans and they started just blasting
rounds at 3 p.m. right after school
got out. That's sad.
That's sad. 15-year-old girl
in critical condition now. I already suffer from
too much extreme paranoia about the world.
I got parental paranoia.
I got paranoia for just waking up and living.
I don't need that on my heart.
You could have kept that story to yourself, V.
Now let's find out how much you're worth at work.
Right, well, there's a new website that can let you know that.
It's called Glassdoor.
You can go to glassdoor.com.
All you have to do is type in certain things like your current title,
your salary, your employer, and your location.
And then there's an algorithm that will determine what you're making against what the average is in that position in your field.
So, for instance, if you put that you are a store manager, you have 11 years experience in Dallas, you make $55,000 a year,
then Know Your Worth will let you know what your peers are making.
They're making $7,000 more than you per year.
I'm on it right now.
All right.
Know Your Worth.
I just typed in radio personality.
Let's see what comes up.
It's too much.
I got to navigate through this whole thing.
Hold on.
Oh, jobs?
Oh, it's different options.
You can go to jobs, salary.
Okay, hold on.
All right.
I'm going to figure this out.
Let him figure that out.
All right.
And that's front page news.
Now, tell them why you're mad.
800-585-1051.
If you're upset, you need to vent.
Call us right now.
Maybe you're pissed off.
Maybe you had a bad morning, a bad night.
800-585-1051.
If you're upset, you need to vent.
Call us right now.
Phone lines are wide open.
Call us up.
We'll put you live on the air.
Jesus Christ.
The average salary for a radio personality in New York is $34,000?
That is crazy.
What?
Well, we make above average.
That's why I shop at Target.
No, I don't make above average.
That's about right at me.
That's right about my pay grade right there.
Listen, we don't want people to think that you work hard and don't make that much money.
I do this for the love.
Right.
I love what I do. I love coming here every morning. So you went to Syracuse University free for the love? That's why I had to go to Syracuse. don't make that much money. I do this for the love. Right, sure. I love what I do.
I love coming here every morning.
So you went to Syracuse University free for the love?
That's why I had to go to Syracuse.
I only make $34,000.
So I got to, you know, even out that money.
Can you buy breakfast, bro?
I don't have it.
You just went to Syracuse.
I don't have it.
You just made all this money.
But if you've been with somewhere for 12, 15 years, yes, you deserve to get paid.
Who knew?
All right.
You can even look up the company. It says, yeah. Yeah, you deserve to get paid. Who knew? All right. You can even look up the company.
It says it.
Yeah.
Yeah, you can look up the actual company.
Hold on.
All right.
Well, thank God.
800-585-1051.
Call us now if you're upset.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Hey, yo, hey, yo, hey, yo.
Good morning.
This is Matt Rapp.
I'm a T-Wap, man. I'm going to tell you why, man.
I'm going to tell you why I'm back.
I'm mad because I hung out in the club last night,
and there was too many good girls in there.
Yo, for real, we don't need none of y'all good girls in the club.
We need loose girls.
We need drunk girls.
We need sloppy girls.
We need girls that's just going to call away.
We don't need none of y'all nice girls in there.
Go home.
Go away.
Talk about it, and tell me why you mad.
Breakfast Club, for real.
Since I started my job, I was able to listen to music on my phone,
and I appreciated it because I like to tune out everybody at my job
because I don't talk to nobody at work.
You anti-socialized.
Yes, very.
Yesterday, we had a meeting,
and now we're not allowed to listen to music on my phone.
No.
And today, I'm working 7 to 6 because I'm getting some OT,
and I'm not going to be able to listen to my music all day.
Okay.
You'll be forced to have conversation with people.
Talk to people.
Yes, I'm forced to listen to people. And actually work today.
Well, no.
I work.
I just rather not talk to people.
Well, guess what?
Everything happens for a reason.
Today is the day that God has opened up the lines of communication
between you and your coworkers.
You might be right.
There you go.
You sound very social right now.
Well, I am very social, but I'm very anti-social at the same time.
I'm very observant, so I like to sit back and watch how people act.
Well, if you've been sitting back watching them act,
watch how they act for a while,
you know who to talk to and who not to talk to.
Hello, who's this?
Yes, yes.
Salutations to everyone.
This is your boy, Mike Lowry.
Salutations, Mike Lowry.
Salutations, Mike Lowry.
Why you mad, Mike Lowry?
You know what?
That African guy that called in yesterday who was talking all that junk and then taking
up all the time from people who wanted to call in and say who was mad about actually
something.
There's a lot of Africans mad at me this morning, man.
What?
They got upset about the guy yesterday, the artist.
His name's Casper.
I still can't pronounce his last name.
Sorry, guys.
And I don't know why y'all upset.
Tell me, what can't I pronounce?
Nothing.
Exactly.
All right?
I just know the man's name is Casper.
He's an artist.
I told him he's welcome up here anytime.
He's an artist in Africa.
Actually, somebody had just hit me last week
about trying to help them book somebody
to come out for a show for him.
That Kanye allegedly stole the stage.
But Kanye said he wasn't talking about anybody in particular.
Yeah, and they mad at me
because I said he was an African artist.
He is an African artist.
It's like Kanye West is an American artist.
I thought you said he wasn't African.
They're not even mad at that.
They knew that was a joke, but whatever.
But, you know, salute to Casper.
I told him he's welcome on The Breakfast Club anytime.
Bro, that's nice of you.
Hello, who is this?
Siobhan from the Bronx.
Hey, Siobhan from the Bronx.
Tell them why you mad, Siobhan.
This chick was in my inbox on Facebook.
Yeah.
She was in my inbox asking me why me and her husband have mutual friends.
Woo!
No, y'all don't.
So I was like, what are you talking about?
Who is this?
She's like, oh, don't worry about it.
I'm just calling because, I mean, I'm just hitting you up
because I want to know why you friends with my husband.
All right.
Hey, that's your foot, you cute.
Take it as a compliment.
So I told her,
you know, she
needs to stop
being insecure.
Like she, you
know, come on,
why are you in
my inbox?
Like it's really
ridiculous.
Right.
You know, she
sent pictures of
her and her
husband.
No, she did
not.
And she did.
She sent pictures
of her and her
husband and her
and her own
and the kids.
Wow.
That sounds crazy.
Yeah, like she's making a statement.
You need to stop having sex with people's husbands then.
Oh, stop.
Excuse me?
There ain't no excuse me.
You know why she was in your DMs.
I am happily, happily in a relationship.
It's going great.
And I don't want to do with that.
Well, you should block her.
Yeah, I did.
I did.
I definitely blocked her
and I blocked him too.
There you go.
You didn't deny that you slept
with that woman's husband, though.
Tell her why you mad.
800-585-1051.
If you're upset,
you need to vent,
call us right now.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
That was free DJ Khaled Drake.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy Angela Yee.
Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Almost had to pull the hammer this morning, man.
On what?
I got back from Syracuse, and I pulled up in my yard,
and I seen two people standing in my yard at like 3 in the morning.
In your yard?
In my yard. I hope it was a bear or a deer. No, it was two scarecrows my yard at like three in the morning. In your yard? In my yard.
I hope it was a bear or a deer.
No, it was two scarecrows my wife put up for Halloween.
So I was like, who the hell?
I didn't know who these people were when I pulled up
because all you see is the little shadowy figures.
And you're like, what the hell is going on?
And they dressed all crazy.
But, you know, I'm just telling all you ladies out there
and even the fellas,
if you're putting up Halloween decorations in your yard,
please tell your spouse.
I didn't know you guys do that.
You have little Halloween decorations.
I just was saying yesterday, am I supposed to decorate the house for Halloween?
You are supposed to.
We do it for Halloween and Christmas.
Oh, my whole neighborhood look haunted.
Then one of my friends said, that's the devil's holiday.
Listen, let me tell you something.
I live around a lot of devils.
And you know how I know because there's a lot of Trump pints.
There's definitely a lot of Trump.
I told somebody yesterday, I'm going to start ripping them down.
There's a lot of Trump pints signs in the yard lot of Trump hints. I told somebody yesterday, I'm going to start ripping them down. There's a lot of Trump hint signs in the yard, and them people take Halloween serious.
You hear me?
I mean, my whole neighborhood look haunted.
You know, if you rip those signs off people's lawn, can you get arrested?
Yeah.
I'm sure you can.
I mean, I wouldn't go that far.
You can't go on someone's property.
I wouldn't go that far.
I'm not going to destroy it.
I'm just going to knock them down.
I feel like everybody has their right to an opinion.
Everybody has their right to vote for who they want to vote for.
I wouldn't go that far, but you just
know where people stand. But I'm
telling you, if you have a conversation with some Trump
supporters, they either go one of two ways.
They're either really racist or really bigoted
or they're just people
who are anti-government.
And they feel like Donald Trump represents anti-government
and anti-politics. So they're
riding with that. It's like they're being
rebels to America.
Well, we got rumors coming up, Yee. Well, since we're talking about Donald
Trump, remember Donald Trump called Khloe Kardashian
a piglet and said that
she was not attractive. Why can't we get the hot
one on Celebrity Apprentice? Very terrible
description. Khloe's too big to be
a piglet. Well, Khloe has responded.
We'll tell you what she said. Okay, we'll get into all
that when we come back. Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast
Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee.
On The Breakfast Club.
Well, President Obama has offered up a list of the songs that he works out to.
He was a guest editor for Wired's November issue, and that's when he did that.
He always leaking his little playlist.
Yeah, he got a lot of little playlists.
All right, so if you want to know what he works out to,
he works out to Get Me Bodied by Beyonce.
Okay, that's a great one.
It's okay for scraping in the queen out to Beyonce.
That's perfectly fine.
Bob Marley, Could You Be Loved.
Okay, that's when he smoked some weed.
All right, Prez, we see you.
Sting, If You Love Somebody, Set Them Free.
That's where you lost me.
You don't know that song?
No, but I get it.
Set them free, free, free.
Black Eyed Peas, Let's Get It Started.
Fire.
Icona Pop, Emergency.
I don't know that one.
Nina Simone, Cinnamon, The Isley Brothers, Live It Up. Off That, Jay-Z featuring Drake, and Pero Loco, Photo in the Dark.
I don't like the Off That record.
And Courtney Barnett, Elevator Operator.
I don't like Off That by Jay-Z and Drake.
And I don't like that record for one reason and one reason only.
What?
That is one of the few missteps that Hov has ever done.
Because Hov tried to kill Construction Timberlands, bruh, in that song.
Oh, that's the problem.
Hov was like Timberlands we all feel.
You got your Timberlands on?
He has on nothing right now.
By the way, he admitted that was a mistake and he went back to wearing Timberlands,'s the problem. Hov was like Timberlands we all feel. He has on nothing. He has on nothing right now. By the way,
he admitted that was a mistake
and he went back to wearing
Timberlands, by the way.
He did.
I can't believe Hov
tried to kill
construction Timberlands
on that one.
He might have been
trying to come out
with his own
S.Carter Tims.
Nah.
Nah.
Alright, now since
we're talking about music,
let's discuss Drake.
His song, One Dance,
is Spotify's most
streamed song
ever in history.
Wow.
Okay, so that was his first ever solo number one song with One Dance this past May.
That was his first number one song ever.
We're going to play that next as soon as you're done with it.
What do you mean next?
We played it 20 minutes ago.
We played every 20 minutes we played One Dance.
Well, we're going to play it again.
Drake be breaking all kinds of records.
So congratulations.
How many streams did he get you saying?
To him.
It was just the most streamed song ever.
It had over 880 million streams.
Yeesh.
The previous record holder was Major Lazer and DJ Snake, Lean On, that have 526 million.
This has 880 million.
I don't even know that record.
One dance.
Did you put a little accent on that?
Every 20 minutes right here on The Breakfast Club, you can hear Drake's one dance. Did you put a little accent on that? Every 20 minutes right here on The Breakfast Club, you can hear Drake's one dance.
All right, Khloe Kardashian has responded to reports that Donald Trump called her a fat piglet
during Celebrity Apprentice back in 2009.
Now, apparently, he had said that, why can't we get the hot one on the show?
And he kept trying to get Khloe off the show.
Eventually, she did get kicked off.
Now, according to Khloe Kardashian, she said,
I didn't think he was saying those things about me,
but he says those comments about a lot of women, really derogatory things.
Someone who is that simplistic to judge things off of surface
is not someone I want running my country.
She said, it's not cool or appropriate for any person, male or female,
to judge someone else by their looks.
I find it cruel. It's wild.
She also said that she never even had wanted to do that show to begin with,
but Kris Jenner actually had signed her on,
and she said, I hated every minute of it.
I was put in situations I would never be in in real life.
What was the name of the show?
Celebrity Apprentice.
Oh.
Forgot about that show?
That damn show did.
All right, well, that is your rumor report.
I'm Angela Yee.
All right, Miss Yee.
Now, when we come back, we're going to kick it with Jeezy.
But right now, let's get to the most streamed record out there.
Oh, my God.
It's probably why it's the most streamed record,
because we play it every 20 minutes, every hour on the hour.
New Drake.
All right, Jeezy, when we come back, keep it locked right now.
Here's Drake.
One dance been out for a year, and we still say New Drake.
We ain't say no New Drake, but here's Drake with one dance.
That was Needed Me, Rihanna. Drake. We ain't saying no new Drake. But here's Drake with one dance.
That was Needed Me, Rihanna. Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee,
Charlamagne Tha God. We are the Breakfast Club.
We got a special guest in the building. Jizzle Jeezy.
What it do, what it does. What's happening, man?
Welcome back, sir. Hey, man. It's like family.
We back up in here. You dig? Absolutely.
Looking like it. Let's clear this up, young, because I feel like
it got taken out of context.
I heard you on a Tax Stone podcast.
Right.
And everybody was giving you flanks.
Like, oh, what you mean Donald Trump is like Tupac.
Right.
I understood what you meant.
Right, right.
You applauded Donald Trump.
Nah.
I had a nigga call me.
I said, listen, man, did your ignorant ass listen to the whole interview?
No. Or you just took?
And that's what I hate about my people, black people.
We just take whatever and run with it.
Oh, there's no context to nothing no more.
Yeah, but if you want to ask me that question, then watch the interview.
But to clarify what I was saying, I was saying that he's the hottest person in politics.
And had he dropped the album right now, he'd go diamond like Tupac did.
Because he's the hottest person in what he's doing.
Like, he's everywhere.
You can't turn on the TV and not see this dude.
You know what I'm saying?
You also said he's not presidential material.
No, but I'm saying it's not like you were
saying, oh, I'm going to vote for Donald Trump.
He'd be the biggest rapper in the game.
He is, though.
Even now, he still is.
I just sit back and watch it.
That's who he is. That show
he has, that's what it's about. For the Republican
Party, they're boring.
They're like old you know, old
people that discount their money.
You know what I mean? And it's like,
he's giving them something they never had.
He's giving them excitement.
He's rebellious. And this man
called Hillary Clinton the devil. I wouldn't call my
auntie that shit.
You know what I'm saying?
But it just showed you where we
at in this world.
It's like, in this day and time, that that's a presidential candidate.
Well, you're standing out politically, because we all know you support Barack.
I'm standing over here, man.
I ain't looking at you.
You're not voting this year?
If I had to vote, it wouldn't be for him.
You know what I'm saying?
But, you know, you already know what you're dealing with, man.
But it's just bad.
I don't feel like any of them are for the people.
And my thing is, you know what I'm saying, it's just like, you know, you can vote
if you're concerned about your taxes,
you know. I mean, I am a taxpayer,
but at the end of the day, it's like, I'm not looking for them to
come fix my community. I'm not coming
fix my neighborhood. You know, we the
leaders. We got all
the resources, and we know all the people
for real. And it's like, we gotta stop.
People are like sitting back just saying, okay, when you get president
they're gonna come fix this. Like those things that
was going on in St. Louis
and all this crazy shit that was going on, it wasn't
but so much Barack could do, but at least
he kept everybody calm.
Like Jay-Z said, government, F government.
Politic yourself. You gotta empower
yourself, man. You gotta do it.
Last time you were up here, Jay-Z,
it seems like you had the hard bottoms on.
You were a pastor.
Yeah, yeah.
Really?
Yeah.
I knew it was going to be you, though.
It was church in the streets.
You was there.
It seems like you were ahead of your time.
Like, we need that album now.
Yeah, now.
But listen, I promise I just told somebody the same thing.
I take it to heart.
So everything that I'm passionate about, I do it.
And my point with that was, I ain't tripping the money I already made. This is my art. I'm passionate about I do it and my point with that
was I ain't tripping the money I already made this is my art I'm gonna let y'all know how I feel
call me like you're in the hood shooting a video of the pastor suit like what you doing
you know and they was mad but I don't think they understood you know my position I'm for real about
this man I felt like you know I do my shows it is like church these people really come to hear
what I gotta say so it's like if I can switch the message it is like church. These people really come to hear what I got to say.
So it's like if I can switch the message, I'm going to switch the message.
And I switched the message, and I got locked up for it.
You know what I'm saying?
That was the devil testing you.
You know what I mean?
I got locked up for it.
And it was real.
So I felt like I made some type of sacrifice.
I lost a lot of business situations, a lot of endorsements.
I seen a lot of people that I thought was my peers and, you know what I'm saying,
really had my back, turned their back on me.
I had, you know, friends that I felt like were the road for me.
Ain't nobody standing up.
I was on my own, you know, very kind.
You know, he did what he could, you know, to talk me off the ledge
because I was going crazy at the time.
Like, I was, you know, high to Barack because he didn't give me no love.
You know what I'm saying?
I was high to people that was around that really didn no love. You know what I'm saying? I was high to people
that was around
that really didn't
handle their business
like they should
and all that
just to get an album out.
You know what I mean?
And I felt like
at the time,
the game needed that.
But I learned one thing
just going through that process.
You can't talk at people.
You can't feel too preachy.
You know what I'm saying?
You got to put the medicine
in the candy.
Right.
You got to kind of slip on one. And I learned that. But gotta put the medicine in the candy. Right. You gotta kind of slip in one.
And I learned that.
But I do think Church in the Streets could have been
the album that I put out now.
For the time period. But when I really started
seeing what was going on, I was like,
you know what, man? My mom always tell me I try to
fix every problem. But it was too
big of a problem for me to fix.
So even going back to what I'm doing now,
let me at least fix the streets because I can handle that.
Does the dealer ever feel
lost out here?
And what I mean by that
is in this era,
everybody celebrates the fiend.
So I wonder,
do they even want to hear
from the dealer?
Good question.
That's a lot,
really why I'm bringing,
you know,
the whole trilogy back
because when I grew up,
we had real morals.
Like these niggas right now,
they're going to tell on you tomorrow,
be in the club,
lay home, and you ain't even going to do nothing because they're going to tell on you tomorrow. Be in the club. They own.
You ain't going to do nothing because they're going to tell on you again.
And, you know, that's just the way this generation is.
So why do you think that this generation is so different?
Because they wasn't raised by their parents like that.
They never had their uncles, you know, wasn't there for them like that.
You know, everybody was living their life.
You're talking 80s, 90s babies.
These don't even want no money.
They don't want to kill you.
They don't want a reputation.
So it's like when you look at it that, you already see what you look at.
I came from an era where I didn't even smoke weed when I was in the street
because I had to be focused.
I didn't want to knock my head off for me to go do no dumb situation
and get locked up in 10, 15 years, 20 years of life sentence
because I'm not thinking clearly.
So when I hear what they're talking about these days, I go, damn.
But that's where it makes me have to come back and be the big homie because it's a door'm not thinking clearly. So when I hear what they're talking about these days, I go, damn. But that's where it makes me have to come back
and be the big homie
because it's a door that I opened.
All these kids are trying to be who I was
10, 15 years ago.
Like now with the IG and the way they,
you know, the perception of it.
Flexing money and IG that make it real.
Is your kid straight?
Is your mama good?
You know what I'm saying?
Like, do you got something put away?
You got lawyer fee?
Because a lot of niggas go out here and do all this. They ain't got no money for all this? You know what I'm saying? Like, do you got something put away? You got lawyer fee? Because a lot of niggas go out here and do all this
and ain't got no money for a whole family.
You know what I'm saying? You know what I mean?
Go do all this crazy. So, I think now
if you really just sit back and look at it, how many
wet, you know, pillars there are in the
penitentiary for real, I think it'd be because
they opened up a door. And the reason
why I reference a lot of things to Pac
and people don't understand because that's
where my morals, you know, that's the ceiling for my morals.
That's the bar.
That's the bar.
You know, everything he talked about, I really lived that to get to where I was,
and that was my Bible.
When I got in a position, I was like, well, he would have,
and that's what I'm going to do.
A lot of people look to you as that now.
That's what I'm saying.
So now it's that much important to me to tell y'all getting y'all money,
but this is the other side of the game.
This is when you've been, you know, you're far removed from the streets
and you've been out the streets 10, 15 years, and now you're in this game.
You got to know how to play this game the same way
because, you know, this game is a little trickier.
It's actually even worse.
But the reality of it is, is nobody to set that bar but me.
So if I would have stayed on the other path, church in the streets,
I would have left it wide open.
And then the next, like, what part?
So you think I'm bad? What church in the street. I would have left it wide open. And then the next, he's like, what part? He think I'm bad.
He went to the next.
He's going to tell you, man, I don't care about nothing.
So I respect it in a sense, but I almost feel like I'm obligated,
and that's my responsibility to come back and restore some real order.
All right, we got more with Jeezy when we come back.
Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.
That was new Jeezy going crazy.
Jeezy featuring French Montana.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Jeezy is in the building.
Now, Yee?
Well, you are known for helping out a lot of the younger artists
and taking them under your wing.
Right.
But sometimes it doesn't work out.
What are the main reasons why you feel like certain artists
that you saw had a lot of potential that you wanted to work with?
What are some of the pitfalls that they've had that you feel like,
if you're going to come under my wing,
you need to make sure you handle your business?
You got to want it.
Just because I've been around Hov a lot,
that don't mean I'm going to have the same shit.
I got to want it. You know what I'm saying? I got tov a lot, that don't mean I'm going to have the same shit. I got to want it.
You know what I'm saying?
I got to be a sponge.
You don't have to tell me everything.
I don't have to be around somebody and be like, okay, well, I'm rocking with you now, so I'm good.
It's like, no, you got to work even harder.
I can put you on the stage and set the stage for you,
but you got to perform your heart out to make these people believe you
because just because they're my fans don't mean they're going to buy into you.
And I just think, you know, a lot of times when you're dealing with these cats you know they want to
shine but they don't want to cry like they don't want to get i work if i tell you what my week was
like you know i'm saying now even at this point in my career that's all i do i grind and i'm
disciplined enough to have discipline i'm making business move that you probably won't hear about
you know what i'm saying until 2020 you out and you in the club, I'm in the studio, and I'm still writing records.
And that's at this point in my career.
You feel what I'm saying?
So every day to me is about progress and investing in myself
and making sure that I'm the best that I can be.
And that's what I tell cats.
Sometimes they don't understand.
If I'm not the best that I can be, I can't help you.
So why do you think, on the flip side of her question,
why do you think somebody like YG did work?
Because he wanted it.
I told my man Folk that,
I was like, he's getting better.
He knows what YG is now.
And this is somebody that I had to sit down
and move to Atlanta and fix things
when him and Mustard didn't understand what was going on.
Like, yo, my man, like,
it ain't about y'all, it's about the fans.
You know what I'm saying?
You can't do an album and not have Mustard on the album.
It's crazy.
And even when I saw, you know,
the Mustard play with YG,
I was like, this is it.
You got everything.
Focus on making this album.
Right.
And then even when he came to me, he was like,
yo, I want to call my album Bumped.
And I was like, my man, like, that ain't it.
How can we get people to relate to who you are?
You're a young gangster.
What's the day in the life of a young gangster like?
When this album come on and you start off how your day starts
and when it goes off, that's how your day ends.
So that's why you hear his mama on there.
I just want to party.
I don't want to hurt nobody.
To them breaking their houses.
And one thing I can say about YG, and I do really mean this,
is you can tell him anything.
He takes his time.
He thinks about it.
If he come back, he'll be like, yeah, you was right.
But I'm going to do it this way.
So I respect that.
I'm not going to be right all the time.
I'm just going to give you whatever knowledge and wisdom I got.
If you come back and you tell me this is how you want to rock,
then I'm going to see to it that we can get you the best results.
But at least you thinking and you planning.
And that's what I learned even by being in the streets
and being around older cats.
They can tell you everything, you know what I'm saying?
But it's up to you to take the information that they give you
and make it work for you.
And he made it work for him.
And whoever thought that a nigga from Georgia would put a cat all the way from the west
and he said some last night at the show and i was like in my mind i was like wow
he's like he's the only from the west that made it without dre yeah yeah young though
you feel i'm saying what that tell you the bmf series is coming out have they hit you up are
you involved in any way i'm not not. Well, I spoke with 50.
Like I said, man, I just respect the fact that my man's finally getting some light on what he really wanted.
And look, man, you got to respect 50's lane right now.
That's his lane.
You know what I'm saying?
He understands it.
He's good at it, proving it.
So, I mean, I think it's a perfect match.
You know what I mean?
As far as me being, you know, I don't know if it's past.
Do you want to be in it? Do you want to be in it? I don't know. I don't pass you a limitation. You know what I mean? As far as me being, you know, I don't know if it's past. Do you want to be in?
Do you want to be in?
I don't know.
Do you want to be in?
I'm sleeping good these days, man.
You know what I mean?
Hey, I wake up like, hey, what are we doing today?
Man, it took me a while to get to that point.
You know what I'm saying?
So, you know what I mean?
You're not going to offer no consultation, though?
I'm down.
I mean, I would love to put music in it.
You know what I'm saying?
I would love to get some insight, you know?
I'm sure there's going to be a Jeezy type of character.
I mean, I don't know.
I mean, it doesn't have to be.
I mean, it's a whole story.
Like, you do realize that BMF was created way long before I was involved.
You know what I mean?
So I'm quite sure they're going to start with the whole Detroit era
and all the stuff they had going on there and just work their way up.
You know what I'm saying?
Do you miss that time period?
The music, the clubs.
Yeah.
It was crazy.
Yeah, I went out the other day.
I was just like,
it just ain't the same, man.
And you know,
when you walked in,
like back then,
you know,
they just treated you
with so much respect.
It was like a family.
I think it was real money
back then as opposed to now.
I've never experienced that.
I was watching that BMF.
I watched that BMF doc a lot.
Like every other month
I watch it.
By the way, you're right.
You know, a lot of money wouldn't make a lady treat you like your family.
Yeah.
Hey, how you been, baby?
What's up, baby?
What's going on?
You know what I mean?
I never experienced any of that, but I read the book and I seen the documentary.
I read the book.
You never experienced what?
Like, just how the clubs were.
She never been around during that time.
Wow, really?
Yeah.
Oh, you should have been there.
Yo, you should have been there.
I've been to Atlanta with Atlanta.
Right.
I was in New York, too.
They came.
They did everywhere.
Yeah, we did.
I remember we came and did the Atlanta versus New York and Sue's Rendezvous.
Sue's Rendezvous.
Yeah, that was crazy.
What do you mean?
We bought the most money.
That's what we want.
He talk about Shorty Red, so is Shorty Red going to be on the-
Yeah, Chopper Dive 3, definitely.
He got a couple joints on it.
It was a collective, man.
That was my whole thing, just like putting the gang back together, man,
and really just, I'm one of them cats.
Like, I don't like to follow trends or ride waves.
I like to create.
And people don't know, like, we started creating, you know,
this music and this sound that y'all love in a basement.
We didn't even have a studio.
And, you know, the first album did two million.
You know what I'm saying?
And it just, like, with this, it was like, I wanted to create.
I didn't want to go get beats from whoever's hot.
Come on, man.
Like, it's me.
And just this whole thing, it's just like, man,
everybody in their bag, from Shorty Red to D-Rich to,
I mean, everybody that really produced.
And it was like, it's collectively, you know,
I know you hear this all the time, but collectively for me,
one of my best bodies of work.
And you already know, I went from the touch of that trap of dying.
That's right.
I didn't want to be.
That's a lot to live up to.
Where'd y'all fall out at?
Because I always wonder about like T.I. and 2, if you and Shorty Red,
like what was the ego?
Yeah.
Money.
Fame came fast.
You know what I'm saying?
Really fast. And I got busy. And everybody just didn't understand that. It know what I'm saying? Really fast.
And I got busy.
And everybody just didn't understand that.
It was like I was out of town.
I was always gone.
You know, you don't see me on TV.
And, you know, it was just like it was fast. But, you know, that was my dream to get up out of my situation and do this.
So it was kind of hard, you know, when you're that attached to a producer.
You know what I'm saying?
Because they want to be a part of that.
Had I known that's how it would have been,
I didn't know about bringing studio buses on the road
and still working.
I was just trying to get the fuck out of Atlanta
before I went to jail or something.
You know what I'm saying?
So now, 2020 hindsight, the people I deal with,
that's why I just keep a real connection with them
because that's what makes the music so great.
We go hard for each other.
All right, we got more with Jeezy when we come back.
Right now, let's get into a Jeezy mix.
And since Jeezy's here, let's play another joint off the album.
Then we'll get to a little Jeezy mini mix.
This one's called G-Wagon.
It's off of Trap or Die 3 in stores October 28th.
Let's get into the mix.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Come on.
Let's go.
That was a Jee into the mix. It's the Breakfast Club. Come on. Let's go. That was a Jeezy mini-mix.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
We also threw in a new joint.
Another new joint up for Trapper Dye.
Three in stores October 28th.
Jeezy's in the building.
Now, Charlamagne, I saw your billboard interview.
You was paying your respects to Shorty Lowe.
Right.
Yeah, man.
Crazy, bro.
You know, I knew Shorty Lowe from back in the day in the street. boy interview you was paying your respects to shorty low right yeah man crazy bro um you know
i knew shorty low from um back in the day in the street we met through one of his big homies named
danny boy from the west side but i don't think a lot of people knew that you know how important he
was to the city he was a staple in the community because he was the west side dude that really
wasn't scared and people don't even realize like he really brought snap music to the world with
fable and all them
Laffy Taffy
and all that
that was him
that was they side of town
that was they thing
one of the best records
I ever been on
had something to do with him
They Know
Two of them
Geeked Up
and They Know
Geeked Up
one of my favorite joints
and that came from
they camp
and what he was doing
I watched him over the years
and I seen him grow up
you know what I'm saying
from just being a street cat and I just seen how he treated his kids and how he treated people around I watched him over the years, and I seen him grow up, you know what I'm saying, from just being a street cat.
And I just seen how he treated his kids
and how he treated people around.
And it just be sad to see your homeboy.
That's why I don't even have no problem telling him,
I love you, my nigga.
Be safe.
Because you never know.
You know what I'm saying?
People are falling off every day.
But one thing I do love, you know,
the same thing with him fresh and Doe being on him,
is just like, you know, you can take us out,
but you can't take our music away. That's our
lifeline. That's gonna live forever.
And I was somewhere and they was playing
one of his songs, Foolish, and I was like,
it was hard. You know what I mean?
And the same thing with Doe B and Beyonce
just came for the formation tour in Atlanta
and just to see her even pay a trip.
Yeah, that's dope.
Damn. You know what I'm saying?
Don't you hate when people gotta get their flowers after they're gone?
Oh, yeah.
I told somebody that they'd be bad.
Boy, you got to get knocked off around here for really something.
It's so easy.
Oh, we ain't even eating real dick until you die, baby.
That's why they take my dog, man.
You know what I mean?
Shorty Love Funeral was lit, right?
Right.
Does it make you think about how you want to go out?
Man.
I mean, that's not something you want to think about.
Right, right.
But, you know, it's always happened to all of us.
But, no, you're right, though.
Because I do think about that.
And, you know, even going forward, like, I always look at things for real,
even the people I deal with.
Because I learned that when I was locked up.
I didn't see a lot of people running to help me,
but I always help everybody else.
But now when I'm dealing
with people and I'm talking
to them, I only give them
just a little bit of me.
You know what I'm saying?
I might have a few words,
but I don't give them
who I really am.
Unless I feel like you're
somebody that's going to
really go out of your way
to carry the torch
for my legacy.
You know what I'm saying?
Because that's why
I'm doing this.
I'm going to do this
so I can't no more,
but when it's all said and done,
you saw what happened
with Big Dive in Brooklyn.
Party.
Right. It was real. And it's just said and done you saw what happened with big died in brooklyn like party right
it was real like and it's just like because that's because you have somebody like puffing
kim and all these people that's really going to carry his legacy because they knew what he meant right in faith and all so like even with me now it's like you know i'm very particular to people
i let around because it's like you know i don't want you just to be around to be around because
it's fun now because if it ain't, you're going to be the one
you know, championing me and holding that torch.
By the way, just so you know, it needs to be
lit in Atlanta. I'm just telling y'all.
What's your thought? No, listen, I'm going to get them all.
We're going to bring Freak Nick
back, all that. It's back-to-back traffic.
Bring your Benzes and your Lambos
and your Ferraris out. We're going to celebrate, baby.
You know what I mean? Everybody throwing money
and we're going to have a good time.
And that's how I feel because that's what I feel like I brought to the world.
Like, hope changed.
And it's just like, I was telling somebody this, man, and it's sad to say, when Muhammad
Ali died, I went to visit his house, the house he was raised in.
And I get there and there's this white guy in there.
In Kentucky?
Yeah.
Okay.
White guy in there. In Kentucky? Yeah. Okay. White guy in there, and he's charging people for T-shirts and tours.
And I would never disrespect the family,
but it just made me think, like, was it set up for legacy?
Because he was an amazing person.
The same thing when you think about Martin Luther King,
that center they got over there,
and how much stress it must be on his daughter
to keep water in that pool for the kids to swim in. It's has to be set up for legacy you know what i'm saying and that's
what i feel like you know us as you know black men and entrepreneurs we got to think after the
fact and after we're gone to keep this thing going because you can't leave your kids with this stress
right you can't leave your kids with this burden this is like because you are great but when you're
gone you're gone, you're gone.
You know what I'm saying?
It sounded to me like you might need to write Bury Me at G Part 2
because I don't think you want to get buried in Oivisu G.
No, no.
Not no Balmains either.
Not no Balmains either, man.
You know what I mean?
Now, I want to talk about some of the things that you invested.
You invested in early.
Whether it was liquor.
Right.
Whether it was the clothing line.
Right, right.
It did better internationally than it actually did here.
Now, what's some of the things
that you passed up that you wish you didn't pass up?
Oh, man.
Wow. That's a good one.
You know, a lot of properties, like now,
I probably got half Atlanta.
You know what I mean? But it was probably situations that I felt
like, when I heard how long it takes
to make the money back, that it kind of scared me.
You started talking like 10 years, I'm like like I don't even know if I got 10 years
I need my money now. They talk about so much real estate they say you own like a lot of downtown apartments, condos, houses.
I mean just you know I mean for my kids for my daughter just got my my daughter
just one of the flyest restaurants in Atlanta just opened up in Buckhead but
it's just like. Who's your daughter? She's two. You don't remember when he had his daughter? You saw the pictures on Instagram? Oh is she two and on a restaurant? Maybe I and book here. But it's just like... Oh, it's your daughter. She's two. He just, you don't remember when he had his daughter?
He saw the pictures on Instagram.
Oh, is she two and on a restaurant?
Maybe I'm lost here.
No, because that's something that she will always have.
She always has.
She's going to pay her for the next.
And it feels tangible.
I think real estate just feels tangible.
Like, you can see it.
You can make money from it.
Right.
Well, what it is is I used to be a hustler.
You know, I hustled other things.
It's the same thing.
Like, you wouldn't even know that about me because I don't kick it like that. I watch it. a hustler. You know, I hustled other things. It's the same thing. Like, you wouldn't even know that about me
because I don't kick it like that.
I watch it.
I watch it.
So, I mean, that'd be my, you know,
that'd be me feeling like I'm still
hiding money under my mattress.
I'd be by here.
Who ain't by that?
You know what I mean?
We ain't gonna tell nobody about it.
Farrakhan said the most valuable thing
a black man can own in America is land.
Right.
And he wasn't lying.
And plus, it's good for your karma, too,
because it's kind of like you're cleaning up
the blocks you polluted all over.
Hey, man, it's all good, man. I told you kind of like you're cleaning up the blocks you polluted all over Hey man it's all good man
I told you like
It's like
But I mean but then it makes you
You know even for
You know when you deal with city officials and politicians
It's a real conversation now
You can't talk to me like I'm a rapper
Has Hillary reached out?
Absolutely
My president's a female
She reached out to Hillary doing giveaways with Pusha T The Lambo's blue. She was doing giveaways
with Pusha T.
You can go meet Pusha T.
Right, right.
I know Jeezy good.
I know who's behind that.
Y'all know what that's coming for.
Smutty baby.
What up, KC?
Oh, yeah, what?
The album comes out.
Look, I was there, too.
He was there, too. I was there, too.
I was there, too.
Listen, I just want to ask you, how has having a daughter affected you?
Uh-oh.
You know?
I'm going to keep it real.
I really don't even like to talk about my daughter.
That's my everything.
I'm just not for the foolery no more, and I refuse to be tricked off the streets or out of my position.
I got somebody that really depends on me and is really going to need me.
This world is a dangerous place.
I want to see Gigi do a pookie-poo
to his daughter,
my little pookie-poo.
I can't see that.
Nah, nah, nah.
Nah, nah, nah.
I can't do that.
You don't know,
you just said like a snowman
at the birthday.
Nah, well,
I'm just, you know,
I'm daddy, man.
Like, you know,
everybody say it.
I might, you know,
I might be on the phone
with somebody
and I'm like,
I just motherfucking said it.
What did you say, baby?
Oh, okay, okay. Don't worry, I get that in two minutes. What'd you say, baby? Oh, okay, okay.
Don't worry,
I get that in two minutes.
Oh yeah,
you want to just talk crazy
to me, huh?
But your daughter
say something.
You know what I'm saying?
My album comes out
October 28th.
It's good when GZ drops an album.
You see the evolution
because you came a long way
because I look at the documentary
and you see that map with all the a long way because i look at the documentary you see that that map
one day he watched a documentary on uh back in maybach he was like
well you real lucky
i was like man but uh yeah you're right. I was like, man. But, yeah, you're right, though.
All right, it's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Pre-order right now.
Here we are.
Pre-order right now.
Yeah, yeah.
Merch is gzshop.com.
You dig?
The Breakfast Club.
It's about time.
What's going on?
Rumor report.
Rumor report.
This is the Rumor Report.
Talk to them.
With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club.
Well, we told you yesterday that there were reports that when Shorty Lowe passed away in a car accident,
that he had, they said he had some pills on him, some promethazine.
They said he smelled of alcohol.
Well, his daughter now has some things that she wants to say to everybody who is worried about the wrong things.
Here's what she said. See, all y'all worried about the wrong thing.
Everything but the right thing.
I mean, if he was under the influence, he could lose control of a car, though.
Yeah, he definitely could.
Yeah, I mean.
So, there you have it.
Yeah, and everybody was talking about those two women that took the money out of his pockets.
Right.
They had to be family.
What are they family?
I don't know.
I thought about that yesterday.
They had pictures of them.
I don't know who they are.
I mean, they had to be family.
Maybe the police.
I don't know, man.
I hope so.
That's the only reason I would think police would let you take something off your purse
if you was a family member.
All right.
Well, Tupac has been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
He's one of the 19 nominees up for the class of 2017.
Why do we have a Rock and Roll?
I mean, okay.
Why do we have a Hip Hop Hall of Fame?
Why do we?
Why don't we?
The people actually really do want us to have a Hip Hop Hall of Fame.
We definitely should.
I hate when I hear rappers going into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
We should have a Hip Hop Hall of Fame.
If it was a Music Hall of Fame, cool. You know what I mean? But Rock and Roll, it should actually be for Rock and Roll artists. We need a and Roll Hall of Fame. We should have a hip-hop Hall of Fame. If it was a music Hall of Fame, cool.
You know what I mean?
But Rock and Roll,
it has to be for Rock and Roll artists.
We need a hip-hop Hall of Fame.
It should just be a music Hall of Fame.
Yeah, I don't get that.
In general.
All right, well, among the other people
who are nominated, Janet Jackson, Pearl Jam,
Chaka Khan, Chic, shout out to my guy,
Nile Rodgers, Jane's Addiction, and Joan Baez.
Chaka Khan, Chaka Khan, let me rock you, Chaka Khan.
Why they just don't make it to music Hall of Fame?
And you know Chic, freak out, freak out.
I think that title is dated.
I think they created that Hall of Fame when rock and roll was like the prominent music
genre.
They need to change the name to just the Music Hall of Fame.
Freak out.
Well, it's still an honor for people who get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Not if I ain't never done no rock and roll records.
I mean, listen, some people are honored by that.
So I have nothing to...
They should do music.
I'm not an artist,
so I don't know what that feels like.
And they definitely should do hip hop.
But it would be nice
if they just included everybody.
Yeah, just call it music.
I don't have a problem with them
having every different genre of music
as Hall of Famers
because if you're great at what you do...
They're great at what you do.
...in music, period,
I would like it to just be
all genres of music.
Music Hall of Fame.
All right.
Can Do,
everybody was talking yesterday about how he wants $130,000 in spousal support from Mary J. Blige.
Well, they did a breakdown on what he wants Mary J. Blige to contribute to.
And here is the breakdown.
He wants $5,000 because he wants child support that he pays for the two kids that he had from a previous relationship.
They're not Mary's children.
He also wants $7,000 in rent, $1,000 for new clothes,
$8,000 for a private chef,
$3,200 for a personal trainer,
$5,000 that he pays
his parents every month,
$71,000 in rent that he owes
to several different properties
that he has,
$21,000 in charitable donations,
$100,000 for attorney fees,
and $30,000 for his
forensic accounting fees. So that's a breakdown of why he needs $130,000 for attorney fees and $30,000 for his forensic accounting fees.
So that's a breakdown of why he needs $130,000.
Not for nothing, though.
If he was a manager and husband, and that stuff was usually taken care of,
and you get fired and you get divorced and you don't have a job, who pays it?
But if you're as a manager, if you get fired, that's it, right?
You don't keep on getting paid.
But I'm not just a manager.
I'm a manager slash husband.
I was your husband and your secretary working every day of the week, okay?
First of all, if I was in that situation, I wouldn't do that simply because it's Mary J. Blige.
You can't stick up Mary J. Blige like that.
That's just bad for the culture.
Where are you going to live?
Not for that much money.
I want some money, but you can't stick up Mary like that.
But the other side of me is like, get your money can do,
because women been doing that to men for years.
So what side are you on?
I don't know.
I'm confused.
You're saying if it was anybody else but Mary J. Blige.
If it was anybody else but Mary J. Blige or Beyonce or Oprah or Jada Pinkett Smith, I'd be like.
I just think that amount is excessive.
$130,000.
You got more bills than you.
I got to pay $8,000 for a private chef.
You said a private chef? Yeah. I got to pay $8,000 for a private chef. You said a private chef?
Yeah.
I need to keep this lifestyle up.
You can subtract that $8,000 for the chef.
I've been having a private chef for the past 12 years.
Why I can't have a private chef no more?
Go to Chef McDonald's.
Yes.
No.
Now, should she be paying his child support for other kids?
No.
No, she should.
Absolutely not.
I mean.
They were married.
No, no, no.
She was doing it before, allegedly.
Nope.
Nope. Should she be paying for that personal trainer? I'm not. Dep mean. They were married. No, no, no. She was doing it before, allegedly. Nope. Nope.
She's paying for that personal trainer.
I'm not.
Depends on her stomach look.
Depends on her stomach look.
I got to see your stomach.
How much is the trainer?
It's $3,200 a month.
Oh, that's a lot of money.
But listen, I got to see your stomach after six months.
If after six months we don't see no results, we're cutting this.
Cut the trainer out.
We're cutting this trainer out.
We should send you to Dr. Miami one time payment.
Word.
Dr. Miami one time done.
Drop on the clues box for Dr. Miami. One-time payment. Word. Dr. Miami. One-time done. Drop on the clues box for Dr. Miami.
He is a miracle worker.
God bless that man.
And that is your rumor report.
I'm Angela Yee.
Shout out to Ken Dua Mary.
I know they're going through it, man.
I know it's got to be tough.
I wish them the best.
I wish they would just be together.
Me too.
All right.
Charlamagne.
Who are you giving that donkey to?
Listen, donkey today is going to a guy who's absolutely trash.
Yes, you black feminists, I'm taking your word.
He's trash.
His name is Richard Springer.
We'd like him to come to the front of the congregation, okay?
We'd like to have a word with him.
All right, Richard Springer's getting it.
When we come back, keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Come on in.
It's time for Donkey of the Day.
Donkey of the Day, ask John for me.
I'm a Democrat, so being Donkey of the Day is a little bit of a mixed place. So like a donkey. He hung. Donkey of the day donkey of the day i'm a democrat so being donkey of the day is a little bit of a
mixed up so like a donkey
now i've been called a lot in my 23 years but donkey of the day is a new one
yes donkey of the day for wednesday october 19th goes to an ex-con named Richard Springer. Now, let's start this Donkey of the Day off by using one of black feminist Twitter's favorite words
and saying Richard Springer is trash, okay?
In fact, he's the most trash Springer of all time,
which is saying a lot since we live in a world where trash TV like Jerry Springer
has reigned supreme for a long time.
But Jerry Springer is good garbage.
Richard Springer is just trash. Scum of the earth.
One of those people that you look at and, you know, you look at him and his life and you say to yourself, most lives matter.
The reason I say most is because I really don't see any reason why Richard Springer is here.
Now, Richard is a career criminal, 16, bus dating back to 2003 for various robberies and assaults.
And as of yesterday, they are still looking for Richard because of his latest victim. See, Richard
decided to go into a deli at around
8 a.m. in the morning and argue
with a store employee over the price
of a Bud Light Scrawberry.
Drop one of Clues bombs for Bud Light Scrawberry.
Okay.
The beverage of thoughts everywhere.
Alright. The Scrawberry was
$3.50.
All Richard Springer had was a dollar.
So instead of getting a cardboard sign and writing, why lie?
I need money for a scrawl burrito on it.
He decided to slam the dollar on the floor and bail out the door.
When the deli worker went to get the dollar, Richard Springer, trash ass, threatened to kill someone,
then came back and punched the deli worker in the face.
Now, the deli worker was 18.
I'm telling you he was 18 because I want to show you the wide demographic
Richard Springer reaches with his fist, okay?
Because after he punched the 18-year-old, he stormed out the store
and he punched a sweet church-going 69-year-old woman named Eve Gintelian in the face.
Now, Eve was just walking by.
She was coming from church, going to the supermarket, probably
to pick up something for Sunday dinner.
And this, you see the video?
The video's on revolt right now. This
trash-ass individual punched her in the
face. This poor grandmother's legs
stiffened, and she
kneeled over and hit the back of her head on
the pavement, and she needed emergency
surgery after suffering a
brain hemorrhage. Now, Richard Springer is 28 years old. I don't know if he's in custody yet. He's on the pavement, and she needed emergency surgery after suffering a brain hemorrhage.
Now, Richard Springer is 28 years old.
I don't know if he's in custody yet.
He's on the front of the New York Daily News with the headline,
Open Season on the Elderly.
I would like anybody out there who knows this man, knows where he is, there's absolutely no reason for him not to be in custody right now.
Do not aid and abet this fool.
This man cares nothing about his own life.
That's why he doesn't care about the life of others.
Any man that will punch a 69-year-old woman in the face with no remorse
will absolutely punch you, your kids, your pets.
These are the people whose lives don't matter.
Don't protect this man.
Get him off the streets before the next person he hurts is you
or somebody you love.
Give Richard Springer's trash ass the biggest hee-haw, please.
By the way, this is the sixth senior citizen attack since August 30th in New York.
Assaults have risen across the city.
I've been hearing about it.
That's so cowardly, by the way.
Yes, I've been hearing about it.
Disgusting.
How would you...
Go ahead.
No, I'm just saying that if that was one of my family members, I would go crazy.
That is definitely cowardly.
Yeah, no, assaults have risen
across the city on victim 65 plus
and everybody out there
attacking old people.
Y'all are complete suckers
and you all should be euthanized.
And I don't feel comfortable
saying all lives matter
when it's people out here
that are beating up
senior citizens, okay?
Because their life don't matter.
Damn it.
Black lives matter
and then most lives matter.
I'm watching this now. That's just... I can't even... I'm not even watching. Oh my matter. Damn it. Black lives matter and then most lives matter. I'm watching this now.
That's just awesome.
I can't even, I'm not even watching.
Oh my goodness.
All right.
It should be locked up by 12 o'clock this afternoon.
Hopefully.
Yes.
All right.
Well, thank you for that donkey of the day.
Richard Springer is his name.
When we come back, ask Yee.

Here's more Drake.
God.
Hey, now.
All Drake all the time right here on the Breakfast Club.
That was Nelly, Kelly Rowland.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Now it's time for Ask Yee, 800-585-1051.
Hello, who's this?
Hi, this is Kevin from Brooklyn.
Hey, Kevin from Brooklyn.
What's your question for you?
Shout out to Brooklyn.
So me and my girlfriend been together
for a year and a half now.
When me and her
were still in the dating phase,
I was kind of getting
revenge on an ex-girlfriend
that cheated on me
and came back
begging for forgiveness.
You have a girlfriend now.
You all were together
for a year and a half.
Yeah.
And what happened
with your ex?
Well, when me and my girlfriend
that are together now
were in the dating phase,
I was getting revenge on an ex-girlfriend that cheated on me and came back begging for forgiveness.
I was just basically going to, like, have sex with her and then take her to the club.
That was your rebound chick, kind of?
Kind of, and it, like, turned into something that, like, was more than a rebound.
Okay.
And did you explain this to your girlfriend?
Yeah, she knew that I was getting revenge on an ex-girlfriend.
Why would you have to get revenge?
I don't understand the concept of that.
I was hurt.
I was the first person I ever got cheated on,
and I just let my ego get the best of me,
and it was a dumb move.
Okay, so what's the problem now?
Well, basically, when I got rid of my ex,
she saw a little bit of my current girlfriend's info and started sending her pics of us having sex.
And, like, she would go on her Instagram and leave mean messages.
And she, I don't know how she found her phone number, but she would, like, leave text messages and stuff.
And it just, like, she, like, a year later, she still can't get over it.
Like, she breaks up with me every month. And then we would be cool again for, like, a month.
Then she would break up with me again.
I just want to know if, like, should I just accept my L and try and move on?
Or is there a way I can prove to her that I really love her?
Now, this is the perfect reason why you never go and get revenge on anyone.
When someone does something wrong to you, you just have to know that karma is going to come back to them because you see
it's hitting you now for going to get revenge.
So now you see you done put yourself in a
crazy situation. That's why even if
somebody cheats on you, does you wrong,
I just be like, alright, I'm going to move on because
I know I'm a good person. I did the right thing. And then when
you go ahead and do the two wrongs,
don't make a right thing, that's
why you're going through what you're going through now.
So what you need to do is man up and own up to what you've done and address everything and put
it all on the table. What that means is you need to tell your ex, look, what I did to you was wrong.
It was messed up. You cheat on me. It hurt my feelings. What I did to you was messed up, but
I'm in another situation right now. And I would love for us to be able to move on and not keep on doing this tit-for-tat, going back and forth with each other.
Now, for your new girlfriend, who you really want to be with, she knows the whole situation, right?
Yeah.
And now she's being harassed by this woman, and it's your fault.
Well, she's not being harassed anymore because my ex is over it.
Like, she feels like she already did what she had to do.
Oh, so she just can't, so your new girlfriend can't get over the stuff that happened in the past?
Exactly, yes.
You know, and how long ago did this all stop happening?
This stopped happening seven months ago.
Okay.
I do feel like as a woman, sometimes it takes us a really long time to get over certain things that happened to us,
especially because she was an innocent person in all of this revenge that you did.
So now it's on you whether or not you want to ride it out
and let her go through what she has to go through.
Sometimes we have to go through things.
It should get better.
Is it getting better or worse?
It gets better.
Like, it gets better.
Then she would just have a flashback of the pic that was sent to her,
and she would just break up with me.
And then it would be better, like, a week later.
And then it just was like a recurring incident.
Right.
Because it is hard to get those pictures out of your head now that she doesn't see them.
She probably still has them and everything.
She does still have them.
She needs to delete those.
And you need to explain to her that what you did was wrong.
You know it was wrong.
She needs to delete those pictures.
And she needs to know that.
I would say let's have a conversation.
Anything you want to ask me, let's ask now.
Let's get it all out on the table.
But let's both agree to move on because it's toxic to our relationship.
And we don't ever want to let somebody in the past have that much power over what goes on with us.
Okay.
But you got to give it some time because you did mess up.
Yeah, I know.
I know.
All right.
All right.
Thanks a lot.
And that is a great lesson for everybody.
When somebody does you wrong Getting revenge
Is never a great answer
It might feel good
For a moment
But it could come back
To haunt you for a long time
Unless you got something
Really really good on them
Shut up
Like a sex tape
Or something like that
Listen
And then you end up
Getting sued
Or somebody does
Something crazy to you
I'm telling you
Karma comes around
It's a real thing
Alright
Well ASCII
800-585-1051 If you got a question For Yee Cola right now Keep it locked It's a real thing. All right. Well, ASCII, 800-585-1051.
If you've got a question for Yee, call her right now.
Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
That was Tory Lanez with Love.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ, MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We're in the middle of ASCII, 800-585-1051.
Hello.
Who this?
Alexis.
Hey, Alexis.
From where? I'm good, and yourself? this? Alexis. Hey, Alexis, from where?
I'm good, and yourself?
Hey, Alexis, what's the problem, honey?
Last year, I had weight loss surgery.
Mm-hmm.
And, you know, I was always pretty.
But right now, I'm really poppin'.
Ha-ha, what's your Instagram?
Okay, girl, you poppin'.
I never was in a committed relationship with somebody
who was just, me, always begging, you plopping. I never was in a committed relationship with somebody. It was just me always begging, you know, to do stuff for three years.
So now, well, luckily my trainer, who I ended up getting,
me and him have a thing going right now.
Ah, she's trying to get them cheap sessions.
Okay, okay.
Getting them free workout sessions.
Making you go to the gym because you want to go and see your boo.
I love it.
Right.
You know, the first time I paid that $400, I didn't want to see him,
but, you know, he kept, you know, coming.
He saw the potential, and that's what I like about him.
We've been hitting it off.
It's very, very serious right now.
Now here comes the ex.
He's like doing everything that I always wanted him to do.
A little too late
now that you done had
your little weight loss
and gotten shape and everything.
But she still want the ex.
No, I'm not.
I mean, I talk to him
from time to time
and he just saying
and doing everything that, you know, I want. I wanted him to time, and he's just saying and doing everything that, you know, I want him
to do, you know, back in 2012 and 2013, 2014.
So, and my friend kind of hinted, like, she think, like, you know, the guy I'm talking
to now, you know, it might be a proposal coming.
So, I'm trying to figure out if I should give him, like, you know, my ex one more try,
or do I just need to let him?
Why do you want to get, all right, forget your ex for a second.
The man that you're dating now, is this somebody you want to be with?
You love him?
You want to marry him?
Yes, I would.
So why are you thinking about your ex?
Because the first person who I ever thought about that with was my ex.
If, you know, I'm over,
I can't say I'm 100% over it,
like, you know, when I started dealing with
the new guy or whatnot, it's
something still there.
Like, the reason why I don't go
around him is because I'm afraid of what will happen.
Why did y'all break up?
We didn't. I just said, okay,
I'm over it, and I had to focus on myself
when I had the surgery,
you know,
because I have a whole
new eating lifestyle
and everything.
But he didn't treat you,
he didn't,
he didn't treat you well
when you were with him.
He treated,
no,
he just didn't give me
time that I wanted.
So it was like,
I needed more time
at the buffet.
Shut up.
Go ahead.
Oh, no,
I can't say that. Well, you can't say what? No, it was about to be rude. Go ahead. Oh, no, I can't say that.
Well, you can't say what?
No, it's about to be rude.
Never mind.
Say it, say it.
No, I can't, I can't.
I'll say this to you.
If you feel like your man is about to propose to you,
the one that you're with right now,
it might not be time for you to do that
because it seems that you're not over your ex yet,
and that's not fair to your man that you're with right now.
But if your other dude didn't treat
you the way that he should have when you were with him sometimes people miss out on their opportunity
on the window of opportunity maybe you want to go back maybe it's an ego thing maybe just to
satisfy your own ego you want to go back and have him do all those things he never did before
just because you were heartbroken when it happened and had to be out, you know? I think that's what it is.
Then the other thing that sticks in my mind is, you know, like the Wale video?
Like, you know, at the end of the video with the, you know.
Yeah, yeah, with all the food.
With all the food.
Shut up, Chalamet.
I look better than you, and I probably look better than your wife.
Oh.
Okay.
And I guarantee when I was a size 18, 20, you would have tried it.
What's your Instagram?
Stop it.
Don't listen to him.
What's your Instagram?
And listen, because I'm so positive right now and I'm in a relationship,
I had to delete everything because it was too much.
No, you got tired of looking at them throwback Thursday pictures.
One thing I do.
Walking back to a bad place.
Shut up, Charlamagne.
One thing I do want to say is sometimes in relationships, you have to give it your all.
You can't be focused on somebody else.
It's got to be just you and them.
You get so distracted talking to exes, being poppin', talking to new guys.
You never really gave your real relationship a chance if you're still doing all those things.
You need to give it a chance.
I think that's the best advice I've ever heard.
Okay.
Yeah, so just focus on your man.
Focus on that.
Focus on what you got going on.
If it's going to work out, then that'll work out.
And if it's not, then you need to know that.
You is right.
If he didn't love you when you were fat,
don't take him back.
Stop it, man.
Good luck, mama.
All right, thank you.
Don't listen to Charlamagne.
I'm serious.
She's not listening to him.
If he didn't love you when you were fat, don't take him back.
But he's kind of saying the same thing I said, but yeah.
All right.
In a different way, in a nasty way.
585-1051.
We got rumors on the way, Yee?
Yes, we are going to talk about Tyga.
Imagine he was getting questioned about his money because he owes money to a jeweler.
What is the best way to get out of that?
We'll tell you what Tyga did to kind of exit stage left.
Also, Kanye is responding to allegations that, you know,
he stole from other rappers.
All right, we'll get into all that when we come back.
Keep it locked.
This is The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Listen up.
It's just in.
All the gossip.
Gossip.
The Rumor Report.
Gossip.
With Angela Yee. It's The Rumor Report. With Angela Yee.
It's the Rumor Report.
The Breakfast Club.
So, you know that we have all been telling people you got to get out there and vote, right?
Vote, vote, vote.
Well, T.I. was talking with our guy, Who Kid?
And here's what T.I. had to say about if you decide not to vote, what that means.
Because not voting is like voting for Trump.
And I just can't.
I can't go for that one.
If you don't feel like you can go
and actually cast your vote for
someone that you feel is best for the country,
think about what's worse for the country, and
then just go against that.
You know what I'm saying? You got
to do something. Like, doing
nothing should not be
a call to action, ever.
I cannot agree with that, Brother Moore More doing nothing is not a solution.
Doing nothing is not a plan.
Doing nothing is exactly what it's labeled as doing nothing.
Now, if you're telling me you're not going to vote and you actually have a plan of action to back that up, a better solution to the problem or whatever, then cool.
But if you're just not going to vote just to sit around and do nothing and complain, you're playing yourself.
All right.
So remember that.
So if you still haven't, if the deadline hasn't passed and you still haven't registered to vote,
make sure you do.
All right, Tyga had to go sit down and have a hearing
because he owes $200,000 for a jeweler for a chain and a timepiece that he got.
Now, of course, they asked him about how much money he's been making
and how much money has he been spending on Kylie Jenner.
They talked about his income, but when they started asking him about the gifts that he's given to Kylie,
all of a sudden he started feeling extremely ill.
He lost his memory.
He got confused, and then he said he just could not go on.
Drop on a Clues bomb for Tiger Dammit.
Happens sometimes, man.
I love that.
I just got confused.
That's resourceful.
That's resourceful.
So I guess that worked out.
So I don't know what's going to end up happening.
But I tell you what else happened yesterday.
Derrick Rose.
It was the closing argument in the civil rape trial.
That was a quick-ass case.
Yeah, it's pretty quick.
Now, I will tell you what this whole thing rests on, okay?
There's two different things that happened in the closing arguments.
Two drastically different sides.
Now, Derrick Rose's lawyers are saying the woman is a liar and a shot caller.
She invited the guys over and made up a whole rape story in order to get millions of dollars.
Now, the woman's lawyer is saying that Derrick Rose and his friends are sexual deviants.
They showed no remorse for what they did, and they should not get special privileges because of their status.
What's not a question is all three men and the woman did have sex, so everybody
agrees on that. But do you believe
that the men knew the woman was drunk
and she never consented to group sex?
Or do you think that she was quite aware
of what was going on in this whole thing? Was her
just trying to get some money? Now they have
lots of text messages between Derrick Rose
and the alleged victim. He was in a
relationship with her for 20 months before this
alleged rape occurred. So we'll see what happens. Is she a victim or with her for 20 months before this alleged rape occurred.
So we'll see what happens. Is she a victim
or is she the one? And this is not a
criminal case. This is a civil case.
Somebody better play sick
in court if they know what I know.
What do you know? Say your head hurt.
You don't feel well. Now he wants this over with.
He does. He wants to get back to playing ball.
And he did take this to court because
I guess he feels like once they heard his side of the story, they'll say I did nothing wrong.
All right, Kanye, we talked about this rant where he says that everybody is ripping him off and everybody's copycatting him.
Well, some people thought he was talking about Drake, who had a floating stage as well.
They also thought he was talking about Casper.
What's your friend's name, Charlamagne?
I cannot pronounce that young man's name.
He's from Africa, though.
I know his first name.
Name.
That's what I said.
I can't pronounce his name.
You said lame.
You said that young man lame.
You meant to say name.
Oh, I can't pronounce that young man's name.
See, now they're going to think I'm trying to play the name.
That's why we had to clear it up.
They definitely don't think that.
His name is Casper.
He's an artist from Africa.
I told him he's welcome here anytime.
Not only is he, he's one of the biggest artists that sells out shows all the time.
The president was over there talking to him and everything.
So Kanye is saying that speech was not directed at anybody.
It was just to pump up the crowd.
Nothing as a shot.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Right.
Okay, well, I'm Angela Yee, and that's your rumor report.
All right.
Thank you, Ms. Yee.

Ever dreamt about starting your own?
I planted the flag. This is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. Had enough of this country? Ever dreamt about starting your own?
I planted the flag.
This is mine.
I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Or maybe not.
No country willingly gives up their territory.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
