Good morning, USA! Hey, how was your three-day weekend? Man, it was crazy. It was crazy. I ended it with Father's Day, of course, with my dad.
We spent it with my dad.
We was going to go to a party because my dad, he's a DJ and he liked to do karaoke.
So I was going to take him to this brunch in D.C.
I don't know if you ever been to Park at 14th.
I was going to take him there.
Yes, been there before.
Yeah, but I was like, you know what?
We can just have a big Father's Day cookout at my estate.
I made my dad do some shrooms.
He loved it.
Did he?
It was so good. It was good. We bonded. Like I made my dad do some shrooms. He loved it. Did he? It was so good.
It was good.
We bonded.
That's the thing about shrooms.
It's a psychedelic.
It's not really like weed or edibles.
It opens you up, and it makes you feel emotions that you never thought you would feel before.
And it's a good bonding tool.
So we did.
We had fun.
Me, my son, my man, my sister, her man, my dad.
It was fun.
How long does the shrooms last?
Yo, 12 hours
Sometimes I don't even
Want to be high no more
I know
It's too long
I know
It's too long
You gotta start at like noon
You gotta start at
I like 7am
I like to get it in 7am
So I can get done
Right before 8 o'clock
And I can go to bed
Yeah
7am
Yo, I have to start
Sometimes if I start at noon
And go too long
I'll be high the next day.
The shrooms I like.
Yo, speaking of envy, it's these ones that I like.
They're called Penis Envy's Amazonians.
Yo, get them.
No, I'll pass.
Now you're going to pass on some Penis Envy's?
Yes, I'm going to pass on some Penis Envy's.
Who named them Penis Envy's something shrooms?
I guess the people that be growing them.
You can get the, what's the other one that says it's a golden teachers he can get golden teachers they

Front page news.
A lot happened over the weekend.
It was a three-day weekend.
They got to do something with Chicago.
We got to figure it out in Illinois, man.
We'll talk about it when we come back.
It's the Breakfast Club.
There's no S on it.
It's Illinois.
Didn't I say Illinois?
You said Illinois.
Illinois?
Yeah.
All right.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.

front page news.
Good morning, Tez.
Good morning, DJ Envy.
Happy Father's Day.
Belated Happy Father's Day
to you.
Thank you.
And to the queen,
Jess Hilarious,
back in the building
holding it down.
Hey, baby.
All right.
Let's get right in
the front page news.
Now, Juneteenth celebration in Illinois was a little crazy, huh?
Yeah, this was really ridiculous.
One person was fatally shot and at least 22 others were injured in gunfire that broke out during a Juneteenth celebration in Illinois early on Sunday morning.
Now, the mass shooting happened at around 1230 a.m. in Willowbrook, Illinois, which is about 20 miles outside of Chicago. Now a large crowd of young people had
gathered for a party. Now police were actually patrolling the area, so they did have police there,
but then they were called away to another fight, and then they returned back to the gathering when
they heard gunshots. Now according to the sheriff, an unknown number of suspects fired multiple rounds
from multiple weapons in the crowd.
Witnesses say that they recall hearing about 20 or 30 gunshots fired during the event.
And this event was attended by about 200 people, young adults.
And they said it was very peaceful until the gun, you know, the gun shots started happening.
And to date, there's been 310 mass shootings this year alone.
And I just want to let folks know this story is still updating and changing.
So this is, you know, the latest information that I had as of last night.
There were a lot of other shootings over the weekend, too.
Not just Illinois, right?
There wasn't.
And just because, you know, I know a lot of folks always say, you know, got to put some emphasis on Chicago.
You mentioned it as well uh mv and just as a point of
reference there's been 1300 uh that have died of gun violence in illinois just this year alone half
of those were homicides but i do want to make a point that over this weekend it was not just
chicago uh philadelphia actually had two state troopers that were shot uh one was fatally uh
killed in philadelphia st louis had had a match when another shooting as well.
One juvenile was killed. Now we're injured. Washington.
We had two people killed in a mass shooting at a Wonderland music festival beyond Wonderland Music Festival.
And then in Los Angeles, eight injured, including some teenagers, were shot there as well.
Now, we all know that there's many shootings that happen on a daily basis.
These were just the ones that made the national news so it just kind of goes back to the same conversation
we keep having over and over about what do we do about smart a smart gun reform i was going to ask
you you know it seems like especially in chicago illinois it seems like when they have these three
day weekends there's a lot of shootings and it doesn't ever seem to slow down so you know what
are people doing to make sure that these to slow down so you know what are people
doing to make sure that these shootings slow down is it like you said more police patrolling is it
you know i i don't even know what to say because it's like i mean i think three-day weekends the
last three-day weekend it was like 60 people that got shot so what do we do to kind of slow this down
i remember that and i i don't mean the answer is we still don't know because again when you look
at illinois and i'm just looking at it now you know it is legal gun it is illegal to carry a gun and the police were actually there
so it's not that they didn't have you know police protection but how when you look at limited
resources what can you really do um you know to how many police officers you're really going to
put you know the patrol a party so they were there and doing all that they could um but i do want to
make a point in one of the stories i believe it it was in St. Louis, the mayor was there talking about how, you know, they're continuing to try to, you know, get more legislation to put more money into programs because of the teenagers.
You know, they were really talking about the teenagers and having something for them to do because apparently they were in a downtown office building having a party and they're still trying to figure out how did they get in that office building?
You know, what happened with that? so each one of these are different um but you know to answer the question i don't know you know something that congress obviously
has not figured out so i certainly don't have the answer but um unfortunately envy i just feel like
it's always two or three days of this conversation and it just goes back to normal unfortunately i
feel like people don't care like you think about it it's not even like you got an op or you got a
problem with somebody you're spraying into a crowd yeah like like you
just don't care about life like it's not even like oh i hate this person you just i'm just
gonna spray at everybody in there which just seems just it just seems crazy jesus christ all right
well condolences and and and oh my gosh all right and that is front page news. Get it off your chest.

But I can't drive.
I can't go nowhere.

You're not stuck in one spot.
That's how you want it to be.
12 hours. You know how long 12 hours is? Oh, I ain't going to trip though. It ain't really 12 hours. no way i'm stuck in one spot you're not stuck that's how you want it to be 12 out you know
how long 12 hours is oh i ain't gonna trip though it ain't really 12 hours it can be 12 i'll stay

If you need to vent, hit us up now.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired?
Depressed?
A little bit revolutionary?
Consider this.
Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. Start your own country. I planted the flag.
I just kind of looked out of like,
this is mine.
I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water,
500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Laudonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader
of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
Why can't Iana tribe own country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.

So, y'all, this is Questlove, and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast I've been working on with the Story Pirates and John Glickman called Historical Records. It's a family-friendly podcast. Yeah, you heard that right. A podcast for all ages.
One you can listen to and enjoy with your kids starting on September 27th. I'm going to toss
it over to the host of Historical Records, Nimany, to tell you all about it. Make sure you check it
out. Hey y'all. Niminy here.
I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records.
Historical Records brings history to life through hip hop.

Muhammad Ali,
George Foreman, James Brown,
B.B. King, Miriam Akiba.
I shook up the world!
James Brown said, say it loud!
And the kid said, I'm black and I'm proud.
Black boxing stars and black
music royalty, together,
in the heart of Zaire, Africa.
Three days of music and then the boxing event.
What was going on in the world at the time made this fight as important that anything
else is going on on the planet.
My grandfather laid on the ropes and let George Foreman basically just punch himself out.
Welcome to Rumble, the story of a world in transformation.
The 60s and prior to that,
you couldn't call a person black.
And how we arrived at this peak moment.
I don't have to be what you want me to be.
We all came from the continent of Africa.
Listen to Rumble, Ali, Foreman,
and the soul of 74
on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
One, we want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, what's up, DJ Envy? This is Doogie in Chicago.
Doogie from Chicago. Doogie, get it off your chest.
Also, I just want to clarify a few things
About what you had said earlier
The first thing is
I don't know why everybody has a global
Microscope on just Chicago
It's always us us us
But I want to shout out to Teslin
About you know
We're not trying to be in competition with all the violence
With other cities but we are definitely not
In the top ten of the violence
But it seems like there's always a microscope on us.
But what I want to talk about is that Woodbrook, Illinois, is in DuPage County.
It's a really affluent, more rich suburb.
So we don't actually know if these shooters could have been black, white, what race they might be, what the motive is.
And we just had a vigil over, I think it was yesterday, we just had a vigil over there.
And the people, some of the shooting victims were there.
They said there were so many people and it was just chaos.
They're not sure they're ever going to find the shooter.
But obviously, you know, that's the police job.
You said that it seems like people don't care in Chicago about what's going on.
Now, we just got a brand new progressive mayor.
We need to give him time to implement programs.
We just got a new, we have an interim Chicago Police Department superintendent.
We're trying to get a permanent one.
So we're in a transition period
We're cautiously optimistic with the new mayor
But you know it's going to take time
You know this is decades in the making
Yeah nobody
First of all nobody ever said anything about race
I don't think we said anything about black, white, Asian or Spanish
No that's what I'm clarifying
That's what I'm clarifying we don't know
In this particular case
And what we also did say was Nobody said the people in we don't know yeah in this particular case and what we also did say was
nobody said uh the people in chicago don't care we were saying how can we stop these
reckless shootings so what would you uh advise since you're from chicago so that these uh kids
will stop shooting or people will stop shooting like they are you see the first thing is we need
programs to actually give these kids what if they. They go downtown, and the media vilifies them.
It's a teen takeover.
And then, you know, the kids go downtown because there's nothing to do in the neighborhood,
and it's dangerous because everybody's wild.
You know, our neighborhoods are generally quiet, normal neighborhoods,
and then some crap pops off.
It's not like how they vilify, and it's like a war zone that everybody makes it out to be in the media.
But we need to give the kids something to do.
We need programs, after-school programs.
We need the arts.
We need investments.
We need opportunity, because when opportunity and quality of living improves, crime plummets.
But we also have so many organizations doing so many things here and there,
it's not on a grand scale enough
to make the impact that it needs to make great change.
And we need the media,
our local media here,
to, you know, band together and make a,
you know, mass media gets the message out and it can create movements.
And that's one thing that nationwide we're lacking.
Well, I mean, you got to start small.
And I will say one thing about Chicago.
Chicago is a very beautiful city.
Yeah, I love that.
I actually think Chicago is actually prettier than New York City when it comes to the way
it looks, how clean it is when it comes to that downtown area is beautiful.
I know Tez is on the line. Can you click Tez back up because tez will tez gonna spit some facts with
it with an ar-15 yeah i had my hand up like i was in class thank you so much for tossing it back to
me but i thank you so much uh for him calling and said and i just want to give just a couple of facts
um because he's absolutely right when we talk about the most dangerous cities and i i get what
he's talking about which was not our our point of trying to say the word about Chicago like it's the most dangerous.
But just so people do know, the top five most dangerous cities is, he's exactly right.
Number one is St. Louis.
Two is Detroit.
Three is Baltimore.
Four is Memphis.
Little Rock is five.
Milwaukee is six.
Cleveland, seven.
New Mexico, eight.
Kansas City, Missouri, nine.
And Stockton, California, Cleveland. Seven, New Mexico. Eight, Kansas City, Missouri. Nine, in Stockton, California.
Ten.
So what the brother was speaking about is there's always this narrative of, you know, what is the most dangerous city?
And what about Chicago?
What about Chicago?
And that's why I strategically wanted to mention how those other things happen as well.
And I lived in Chicago myself.
And I do think that the media does.
There is a problem there, much like there is all over America.
But they don't talk a lot about how beautiful Chicago is as as well and it's one of my favorite cities to live in so thank you so much
for calling in on that i was actually in chicago on friday doing a party with uh uh about a 2000
black professional so i did that out in chicago so salute to chicago but you know a lot of times
people don't want to come to those cities because even when i did my car show in memphis which is
what you said on that list number three i had so many people tell me you shouldn't go to
memphis so many people said no don't go there it's dangerous we memphis was such a beautiful time
the police came out the city came out it was just so respectful and so loved i'm not gonna say that
violence doesn't happen but when you give people safe places to enjoy themselves and to bring those
kids and to bring their kids people people come out and they support.
So salute to Chicago.
Salute to Memphis.
Salute to all those cities.
You know, Detroit's like my second home.
So I love Detroit.
So what up, though, Detroit?
All right.
And just one more clarity, because people can find whatever poll or whatever data that they want.
This one that I particularly pulled from was the most dangerous cities and what that includes is the numbers based on homicide,
rape, robbery, and aggravated assault.
All of those things. Property crimes,
total crimes, all together.
So if somebody pulls a random stat
just to make a particular city
be higher on the list, you have to pay attention to
where that data is actually coming from.
Alright. Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051
if you need to vent.
Hit us up.
Now, we got rumors on the way.
What are we talking about, Jess?
Camora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons and the daughter.
Damn.
Daughter Simmons.
And the daughter Simmons?
Yeah, the daughter Simmons.
We got to get into it.
All right.
We'll get into that next.
So don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club. Jess Hilarious, our co-host, is here. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club.
Jess Hilarious, our co-host, is here.
What's good?
Charlamagne took a couple of days off, so let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk Russell Simmons.
It's just for the mess.
Am I new?
Am I real?
Child, the ghetto.
Just to last night.
This is the rumor report.
Am I new?
Am I real?
Allegedly on The Breakfast Club.
Honey, is ghetto up in here? rumor report allegedly on the breakfast club kimora and aoki lee simmons go public about family life with russell simmons okay so
russell put this online yesterday he said stop telling fathers that they should fight harder
to see their children and start asking mothers why he had to fight at all so in response to that
his um ex-wife kimora lee simmons she wrote some things i'm just gonna
read a little bit of it i'm sorry to have to do this but this man has been threatening my kids
lives i'm hearing so much more now we won't be bullied threatened or freed who give a f all
right so he's she made claims that he's been abusive or whatever you know and we got some
actually actually some audio right let me hear it um but he was saying to the guy like i'm so rich
i got this and i'm so rich i got this
and i got that and i'm this and that none of that could be further from the truth you know he has
turned around and then again i have records and evidence of this where he's told the kids in
writing we have it text messages i'm broke i this i that i can't you know go get it from your mom
now meanwhile i have been financially carrying this person probably for the last at least 10
years but i've taken care of this person to the tune of many, many, many millions of dollars to help with their bills, their overhead, their companies that they run into the ground, their unsuccessful bids, all of their stuff.
And she also said something else.
I'm going to let it let it play.
That was very tough for them that their dad kind of cut them off and cut off conversation and cut off helping them. And he's even said
things to them like, why did you go to college? You shouldn't have gone to college. You wasted
that money. You could have saved it. While I'm up here trying to hustle the kids over the finish
line. We didn't just go through a divorce. We went through this divorce, I don't know,
20 years ago. But we've been fine up until these past several years.
So, you know, what happened?
I'm just asking that you please leave us alone.
You know, I've tried to go to lawyers and get help.
I've tried to show all the crazy texts I've had to block.
Like, you do crazy shit.
Like, send flowers to yourself and take a picture and post it on the gram and tell everybody i sent you flowers again i have receipts of all of this i have receipts from your office saying that
you sent flowers to yourself even still how is that him but like i don't i don't understand okay
so then aoki went went uh she got on live and then she stuck on like crazy she was crying and
she was upset as well.
Yeah, she's the youngest daughter that recently graduated from Harvard.
Yeah, okay.
At age 20, she graduated from Harvard.
Okay, yeah, so she's not a little girl.
Okay, I know this is their youngest child, but I know that she is.
Okay, so she is very much grown.
When she went live, she was, we don't have audio for her going live, do we?
We do.
Yeah, let me play that.
I have defended him every which way about stuff that I don't even know about.
I was like 15 not knowing what sexual assault was and I'm still defending my dad.
This man is awful to me.
And everyone just says, everyone you work with has your dad.
No one's going to back you up.
No one's going to have you modeled for them because they all have your dad.
And we all say please stop i don't
want drama i love my family i'm sure we'll all work it out it's gonna be okay and i don't post
anything because i want to have a peaceful family but this is abusive at this point maybe my career
is over you know what i used to work at a refugee camp i'll do that again i'll be a doctor i don't
give a and i can never get a job in entertainment again but you cannot just abuse your kids behind closed doors and not take
accountability wow and another screenshot shows uh russell calling kimora a piece of s and accusing
her of stealing from him while aoki says she will never speak to him again but talking about their
mother the way he does um but this is interesting because Russell Simmons, like he invested into Kimora and her with a husband that she had before.
Then it was even said that she had stolen money from Russell Simmons.
And then I don't understand if he's saying got no money.
Is that is that the abuse part?
Like what?
What is what is the problem?
Like if he's saying he don't got it and he just saying
hit your mother hit your mother how how is how is that like him not treating them right if he broke
if he ain't got it where he gonna get it from yeah i mean i did see something where she was like uh
she needed an uber and uh he said well i can't i don't got it take a take a subway and she was
upset about that um there's two sides to every
story my main problem with this whole situation is this is none of our business right yeah this
is all family business and i really hate the fact that people are putting family business out there
right and the reason i say that is you know i'll be honest we shouldn't be the judges no that's y'all if there's a problem
there's a situation and you you're not dealing with your pops block them block pops and you
ain't got to speak to pops and it really bothers me when I see a lot of these families do that
we seen it with Master P and his family yeah they put family business out there we seen it
with Kirk Franklin and his family they put their family business we seen with Brian McKnight
recently in his family and I feel like the bad thing about it is and maybe i was raised differently yeah i was raised where i'm
not going to issue my mother i'm not going to issue my pops and hopefully my kids look at me
and their mother the same way because at the end of the day what they're doing is they're destroying
their parents yeah like kirk franklin's son tried to destroy kirk franklin by putting out the video
of him cursing his son out knowing knowing that he's a religious person.
He sings gospel music.
How are people going to look at you now when you curse me out and call me all types of names?
That's still your pops.
Yeah.
You know, same thing with Master P when they put Master P's business out there.
I feel like it's part of it is to destroy their father.
And the thing is, if that's your real father and you love him and everything was good when the money was coming in, don't try to destroy pops now.
Don't try to destroy moms now.
Keep that in the family. And if it is so bad where you feel like you're being abused block them yeah
you ain't gotta answer them block them no you can't call me no i'm not talking to you i'm not
taking your facetime and i've seen the video with russell simmons spazzing out and there was no no
it was muted because she she had screened uh recorded a the facetime call he was going off
about it we don't know what he was saying, though.
And like I said, you don't know what he's saying.
But I'll be honest.
If my kids screenshotted me, I done spazzed out on my kids a million times.
As a parent, you spazz out.
I remember the first time, you know, my daughter goes to NYU.
The first time she went out to a party.
And the bad thing about NYU, there's no campus.
Your campus is Manhattan.
So when she went to the party, she got back at 10. And, you you know my daughter knows when she comes back call me right she didn't call me
so I'm calling her she fell asleep I'm calling her I'm facetiming I'm calling her I'm calling her
I get to the point where I get I get in the car and I'm coming to the city because I'm like what
the hell happened yeah and you know halfway to the city she calls it was like hey dad what's up
I'm like what's up yeah what you mean what's up and i spazzed on it because i was so scared that something had happened but if my dad if my daughter screenshotted i would
look just like russell simmons that day going off and going in and and that's the thing and i know i
know it's probably like okay we tried it because i know romeo tried to talk to master p a lot of
times he did he did and then it was just like since you like everything to be public and you
you like the only thing that you really want to protect is your reputation and how you look all right i'm gonna go
here and because i feel like even romeo was still respectful like he wasn't disrespectful to his dad
he just like yo look you acting like it ain't what it is and this is it man and i'm tired of this
i feel like aoki and and and kimura i don't know it's just like destroy destroy destroy like yo
that's still your father and even how kimura went in, talking about how she married him when she was 16.
I probably was too young to do this.
And he was 33.
And it's like, yo, look.
All right.
Yeah, that's true.
You was too young.
But you're going to bring that up right now.
Like, I just, it's just like a lot.
It is a lot.
And I feel like he probably, this ain't the end of him going off either. Because every story got three sides. I feel like he probably he ain't the same the end of him going off either because
every every story got three sides I feel like we don't know what he said and now social media users
they weren't buying it either so they accused Russell Simmons for every they believe everything
that her mom and her are saying not saying that they shouldn't but they should see what he got
and that's the thing I'm saying they should say they should wait to see what he got to say
I just think it shouldn't even be online.
Yeah.
It shouldn't even.
I think it's family business.
Even to the point where it was like, you know, she was talking about he was talking to doing an interview and he was like, he got money.
He ain't got no money.
Right.
I just feel like it's just a way to take that family down, which I don't like.
And I want to discuss that too.
800-585-1051.
When we come back after front page news, let's discuss that.
Let's discuss family business.
Do you think family business is staying family?
Are you with this new times where you want to put everything online?
I'm from the age where we're not putting anything online.
Everything that me and my wife put in our book was things that we want to put out to try to help couples out there.
We talk to our kids before we put anything out there because we didn't want them to be blindsided.
We didn't want them to feel a way.
And I would pray and I would hope if my kids have a problem
or there is a situation, maybe they don't like
something I did or something that my mom,
that my wife did or that my
parents did, I would pray that they would come
out of that conversation first.
But let's discuss 800-585-1051
and when we come back, we got front page news.
It's The Breakfast Club. Jess Hilarious is here.
Y'all get your ass up.
The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same did you hear there's a new streaming service called max
with everything on hbo max including hbo the dc universe discovery and more max really has some
of the best content there's literally something for everyone in your household max the one to
watch subscription required visit max.com everybody is dj envy
charlemagne the guy we are the breakfast club let's get in some front page news all right
hello hello i am back dj envy and queen jess hilarious in the in the seat this morning yes i
am yes i am jess hilarious is co-hosted all week long charlemagne took a couple of days off let's
jump right into it.
Let's talk about this Titanic tourist submarine.
What in the hell and expensive sounds is that?
Yes, this is crazy.
And I am just crazy about the Titanic.
So when I saw this story, like most people over the weekend,
I've just been really amazed at what's happening here with the Titanic.
So a submersible craft used to take tourists to see the wreck of the Titanic has been missing in the Atlantic Ocean with this crew on board since Sunday, sparking a major search and rescue.
Now, contact with the submersible was lost about an hour and 45 minutes in.
The U.S. Coast Guard said the tour firm Ocean Gate and other government agencies said it's been exploring all options to get the crew back safely.
Now, it only has about four days of oxygen.
And so this they've been missing since Sunday.
So it went underwater.
And so it looks like about now, I guess we look at today is about two days left of oxygen.
Now, this is just a crazy story for those who have been following this, who are really crazy about the submersible and trying to see what's happening with these people.
Are they going to get these people up in time to save their lives?
It's crazy.
All right.
So I don't know.
You got to help me.
What is a submersible?
Right.
Now, submersible, I had to look it up as well.
And I'm sure a lot of people may not know what it is.
And so thanks for asking.
It is a vessel that is about 22 feet long.
It has a porthole window.
Again, like I mentioned, it has 96 hours of oxygen available for a crew of five.
Now, the company that sells these tours, they actually named it the Titan.
And what they do is they sell this to three paying guests for $250,000 per person.
So it fits about three guests, a pilot and a content expert.
Now, what I found interesting about this, and I'm going to ask you guys, there's a waiver that you have to sign to get on this.
And the waiver says that it is an experimental vessel and that it has not been approved or certified by any regulatory body and could result in physical injury disability emotional trauma
or death so would you still you know get on this get in this vessel knowing that it is experimental
and just as before you answer the question the first dive was in 2021 so this is still new
with this company no i wouldn't i wouldn't stop the 250 000 a ticket like what
i'd stop right there.
$250,000 a ticket?
No, I'd have stopped right then and there.
I would have passed.
But you know,
there's a lot of rich people
that, you know,
it has to be a billionaire
or people like that,
$800 million,
that wouldn't mind
spending $250,000
for them and their family
to go on this vessel.
It's very sad
because a lot of people
like to see things like that.
Like, you know how
I've seen there's a new device
that can shoot people up to space and people can, you know, orbit around Earth and see how it orbits. It's very sad because a lot of people like to see things like that. Like, you know how I seen there's a new device that can shoot people up to space and people can, you know, orbit around Earth and see how it orbits.
It's just things are just not for me.
Yeah.
How much is that?
I think about two fifty three hundred thousand.
No, it's crazy.
You brought that up because it's actually one of the guys who has been identified of being on this is Hamish Harding.
And he is a billionaire.
And he also took the Jeffff bezos uh blue origin so
he went he's done both of these so this was his second thing he's really into these yeah uh types
of i guess tours or he's a billionaire so he got the money to do it but this is just crazy can you
imagine you know just being stuck at the bottom of the atlantic ocean the eeriness of it all you're
going down to see a ship that sank and now you they can't find you
they said they they're putting all types of devices down to see maybe if they can hear a
knock on a window or if they and i'm like how can you hear a knock on a window in the ocean i mean
this is just like really eerie and just crazy so yeah no it'll be a movie about it in a few years
yeah i'm sure and i hope they save and get them somehow, some way. Now let's talk about President Biden.
Yeah, so we were talking about gun control earlier.
President Joe Biden was speaking at the National Safer Communities Summit in Connecticut,
calling for tougher gun control laws when he was seemingly confused the audience by closing his speech with the phrase,
God save the queen. Now, videos of the president's unusual sign off quickly circulated online with social media users questioning what he meant.
Let's take a listen and talk about on the other side.
Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to ask the White House photographer to come up.
And all I'm going to do is I'm going to stand. I can't. I usually shake everybody's hand, but I'm going to stand in front of each section.
No, I really mean it.
And if you can see the camera, they can see you.
And it's the least consequential part of this whole meeting for you.
I promise.
All right.
God save the Queen, man.
So the White House press secretary said that he was commenting to someone in the crowd.
I thought about you in view of this story.
So people on social media said, you know, who was he talking to?
Queen Latifah, Queen D.
Do you think it was just a gaffe or do you think it was just, you know, just a phrase?
Some people said it was just a phrase.
And if you say different, you're being an ageist.
So what do you think?
I see your face looking so confused.
Every time I talk about President Biden and the fact that i think that he has a some form of dementia yes people always say oh
you're being the ages but god saved the queen like what what queen is he talking about what are we
talking about queen elizabeth is he talking about you know queen little kim is he talking about
queen latifah what was he talking about like come on now it seems like and i hate to say it
it just seems like our president doesn't have all his marbles when it comes to everything that's going on in this world.
The way he walks, the way he shakes people's hands who are not there.
The way he always trips, the way he falls, falling up the plane, the way he falls, falling down the stairs of the plane.
It just seems like he doesn't have it all together.
And that is fine. Like we all get to that age. Right.
But do we want that running our country no that's my question and I'm
not saying you got a vote for Trump or you got a vote for DeSantis I'm just
saying as a Democrat you know I think we might need some other representation
somebody to challenge him a little bit because God saved the Queen we still
don't know what Queen he was yeah talking about right well if he was talking about queen elizabeth uh she did die like you
mentioned uh last september so uh yeah did he go to that funeral did he go did he go i don't know
i would assume i don't know if he went to the funeral or not i would i would assume but i don't
i don't know maybe he thinks she's still alive Maybe he thinks she's still alive. Maybe he thinks she's still... Look, the other day we had Maury, and I'm so sorry, Maury.
I don't want to be disrespectful.
We had Maury on our sheet about guests that were about to come up here.
And I thought Maury had passed.
No, that's Jerry Springer.
You see?
But you see how I messed that up?
Yeah, I feel you.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, just like, what's the girl's name?
Stacey Dash.
She didn't even know DMX was...
Yeah, yeah. So we... And we didn't even know DMX was there. Yeah, yeah.
So we, dang, and we didn't tell her that Tina Turner died.
We got to tell her.
And as a point of clarity, just to answer your question, he did go view the body of Queen Elizabeth.
So he is aware that she passed away.
Maybe he went back.
Oh, my God.
I don't know.
All right. I'd be feeling bad for him. Well, thank you, Tessman Figueroa. We appreciate you. Maybe he went back. Oh my God, I don't know. Alright.
Well, thank you, Tessman Figueroa. We appreciate you.
God save the queen.
Bye, Tess.
Alright, when we come back,
let's open up the phone lines. Let's have a discussion.
During the first room is
800-585-1051. We were talking
about Russell Simmons and Kimora
and their daughter. What's her daughter's name?
Aoki.
Aoki.
Yes.
And the fact that they put out family business.
We've seen it before with Kirk Franklin and his son.
We've seen it with Romeo and Master P.
We've seen it with Brian McKnight recently and his kids.
Yes, and his child.
Let's open up the phone lines.
What are your thoughts?
800-585-1051.
Will it ever get that bad for you where you put your family business online?
Let's talk about it.
I would never.
I hope my kids would never.
I hope we have a good relationship where they understand they can come talk to me or talk to their mom or their grandparents.
Because in a lot of those situations, I feel like they try to finish their parents.
You know, Kirk Franklin's son tried to finish him.
Yeah, no, seriously.
I feel like, you know, the Simmons are trying to finish Russell.
Yeah.
And I think sometimes, I think family business needs to stay in family business.
Let's discuss 800-585-1051.
Other than Jess talking about taking shrooms with your dad.
Yes, yo, and that's so crazy because I actually did that to my dad before.
But you didn't?
I did.
I put some business out there about me and him.
Well, let's talk about
when we come back jesus christ i know all right we'll talk about it when we come back it's the
breakfast club good morning the breakfast club
it's topic time call 800-585-1051 to join in to the discussion with The Breakfast Club.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God.
He's out of town.
Jess Hilarious is here, our co-host all week long.
Yes.
And we're asking 800-585-1051.
We're talking family business.
Now, this comes out of Jess with the Mess.
She was talking about Russell Simmons and Kamora Lee Simmons and their daughter, Aoki.
Just talking about family business.
I just wanted to hear your thoughts.
800-585-1051.
I would not talk negative family business out there.
I would never put it off. Of course, me and my wife wrote a book
where we talk about our relationship
and we try to help other people
that's been going through some of the things
that we've been through.
Anything that we've been there
where we talk about our kids,
we talk to our kids first
so they're just not
blindsided about something
that happened in our family
that they didn't know about.
But I would pray,
I would hope that
my kids will never go online
if there's a problem
or situation
that they'll be able
to either talk to me,
my wife,
or a family member
or grandparents
or friends.
We have a lot of friends.
My family's a village.
There's a lot of friends
and family
and people around us.
I hope that they would never. But you did it one time i did i did my my dad and my
mom divorced like uh almost two years ago they were together before i was here and and i wanted
you know you always just want the family that you grew up in to stay together and it was just
unforeseen differences they grew apart and i just, I went in because my dad kind of got bitter after.
Well, ain't no kind of.
He got real bitter after the divorce.
And, you know, he was just taking it out on everybody.
And I wasn't used to that because me and my dad, we were best friends, you know.
And we were way closer than we are now, but we're getting back to that now.
And it put a dabble in our relationship.
And I had Carefully Reckless, my podcast that I have on a black effect that come out every Wednesday and I went in on this man
on uh one episode and he heard it it broke his heart and I felt so bad like I still apologize
about it today like to these to this day because it was it and it was last year and I'm like damn
I never want my dad to feel like that I don't love him, that I'm trying to destroy him.
I was just angry.
And he was angry.
So we both apologized.
We kumbaya.
That's why we did the shrooms and we connected and all of that.
And I just held him.
I cried.
He held me.
He cried.
And it was just, it was a kumbaya.
But I did that.
And I would never do that again.
Yeah.
And I just feel like a lot of times I think we react off emotion and don't think about the long-term damage
that something like that will do.
Because you could always get into an argument,
a situation where you don't like,
but I think sometimes once you cross that line,
that line is gone.
And even with my kids,
I'm not a perfect parent.
My wife's not a perfect parent.
We do the best,
and especially with us
because we travel a lot, right?
So our whole thing is is people say
but what's your goals my goals are always to make sure my kids are good like i want them to have the
best education paid for i want them to you know start off at zero meaning they have no debt that's
my goals for my six kids but then she says something like um i think she says something
like yeah you didn't even want your daughter to go to college but that's some people believe that
yeah like some people feel like you know you don't need school and i'm not mad at that i'm not mad at his opinion
on that that's not a problem because i don't know if russell graduated from college but yeah russell
created a fortune he's one of the pioneers when it comes to this hip-hop thing so for all of his
children and even just her so yeah let's go to the phone lines a lot of people on the lines
hello who's this? Hi.
This is Michelle.
What's your name?
Okay, go ahead.
Now, what's your thoughts?
My thoughts is like, come to me and tell me what the problem is.
So I don't go to social media and tell everybody that you have a problem with me, but I don't know.
Yeah. I get everybody on my social media because we're all mutual friends.
Know what the problem is with me.
Well, she said she.
I'm going to go go social media blasting you.
Yeah, she did say she tried to talk to him, but she said that he kept doing the same thing.
But I always feel like, and I can't tell anybody how to react, but I feel like if that was still an issue, block me.
You know, you don't have to talk to me.
You don't have to take that abuse.
You could block me on social media.
You could block me on the phone call.
Absolutely correct. And if there is a problem or if there's an emergency,
we have so many family members around that could get to me if that does happen,
if it's affecting me like that, where she says she was having panic attacks, you know?
But she shouldn't be posting her dad having these rants either.
That's the issue of the wrong guy.
Okay, thank you, Mama.
Yeah.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, this is Jonathan from Miami.
Hey, Jonathan.
Good morning. Good morning.
Good morning, TJ and Jeff.
Good morning.
But about family business, I'm not a fan of putting our family business on front street, you know?
But if it's something criminal, you go through the right authorities and all.
But don't put your family business because it's complicated.
It is.
I don't think there was anything criminal.
She didn't say anything criminal but i think a lot of times when we look at this i feel like a lot of times
it's used to demonize a parent or to you know make a parent look bad like i seen it with the
kirk franklin when his son put out the audio of of kirk franklin cursing out his son yeah we seen
it with master p we seen it with brian mcknight now we see with simmons and i'm not saying that
any of these individuals are right or any of these individuals are wrong I just don't like that
family business I just feel like it's none of our business and I think it hurts those people in the
long run and if I really love my parents my dad my mom I don't want to hurt them I don't want to
make them look bad I cannot like them and maybe we could have a problem but I would never want
to hurt them and it's certain words that you use. He said criminal with certain words that you use because like I and a lot of Kimora's and Aoki's claims, they said abuse, abuse.
So it's like, you know, that that could be taken any type of way.
Eight hundred five eight five one oh five one.
If you just join us, we're talking about Russell Simmons, Kimora Lee Simmons and their daughter Aoki.
They were talking family business and we're asking what what's your thoughts about putting family business out there?
We've seen it with Kirk Franklin and his son.
We've seen it with Master P and his son.
We've seen it with Brian McKnight and his children.
Let's talk about it.
It's the breakfast.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary?
Consider this.
Start your own country.
I planted the flag.
I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine.
I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Ladonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
Why can't I create my own country?
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.

politics to police violence, and we try to give you the tools to create positive change in your
home, workplace, and social circle. Exactly. Whether you're black, Asian, white, Latinx, indigenous, LGBTQIA+, you name it.

So y'all, this is Questlove, and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast I've been working on
with the Story Pirates and John Glickman called Historical Records. It's a family-friendly podcast.
Yeah, you heard that right.
A podcast for all ages.
One you can listen to and enjoy with your kids starting on September 27th.
I'm going to toss it over to the host of Historical Records,
Nimany, to tell you all about it.
Make sure you check it out.
Hey, y'all. Nimany here.
I'm the host of a brand-new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records.
Historical Records brings history to life through hip hop.
Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history.
Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama
who refused to give up her seat on the city bus
nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Check it.
And it began with me.
Did you know, did you know?
I wouldn't give up my seat.
Nine months before Rosa, it was Claudette Colvin. Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records.
Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise.
Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Muhammad Ali. George Foreman. James Brown. B.B. King, Miriam Akiba.
I shook up the world.
James Brown said, say it loud.
And the kid said, I'm black and I'm proud.
Black boxing stars and black music royalty together in the heart of Zaire, Africa.
Three days of music and then the boxing event.
What was going on in the world at the time made this fight as important that anything else is going on on the planet.
My grandfather laid on the ropes and let George Foreman basically just punch himself out.
Welcome to Rumble, the story of a world in transformation.
The 60s and prior to that, you couldn't call a person black. And how
we arrived at this peak
moment. I don't have to be what
you want me to be. We all came
from the continent of
Africa. Listen to Rumble,
Ali, Foreman, and the Soul
of 74 on the iHeartRadio
app, Apple Podcasts, or
wherever you get your podcasts. Talk about it. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne's out a couple of days, so Jess Hilarious is here.
Yes.
We're opening up the phone lines 800-585-105.
And we're talking about Russell Simmons, Kimora, and Aoki over the weekend.
Actually, Father's Day.
They were talking about all these different things.
I guess Aoki, well, how did it start?
You can break it down.
Yeah, so it started uh because russell simmons posted stopped telling fathers that they should fight harder to see their
kids and start asking why they had to even fight at all and kimura went off i guess that triggered
something she went off and saying he's been threatening their kids and everything and she's
been the one holding down the fort for the children and the daughter's mad because he keeps saying got
no money when she asks him for money he'd be like ask your mom and this that and the other so and it just got real real
bloody and messy for me that was very tough for them that their dad like kind of cut them off and
cut off conversation and cut off helping them and he's even said things to them like why did you go
to college you shouldn't have gone to college you wasted that money you could have saved it while
i'm up here trying to hustle the kids over the finish line we didn't just go through a divorce we went through this divorce i don't know
20 years ago but we've been fine up until these past several years so you know what happened i'm
just asking that you please leave us alone you know i've tried to go to lawyers and get help
i've tried to show all the crazy texts I've had to block. Like
you do a crazy shit, like send flowers to yourself and take a picture and send,
post it on the gram and tell everybody I sent you flowers. Again, I have receipts of all of this.
I have receipts from your office saying that you sent flowers to yourself.
All right. So we're asking 805-85-1051. We're asking, what are your thoughts? And we have
Chloe on the line
Chloe, good morning
Good morning
Hey, how you feeling?
I'm doing good this morning
This is like actually the first time I've gotten through
And like trying to call in a decade
Oh, alright
Well, what's your thoughts, mama?
I think that with celebrities
There's like a different thing going on
There's a different level
And I think that if this is what the girls felt they needed to do
In order to get this information out there And for their mental health, I think, you know, that's the route they felt they needed to take.
Yeah, but I don't think it helps mentally because does it really? I mean, you got everybody talking about it. Not everybody's going to agree with them. So people are going to be attacking them. And I think it really makes it worse. So i don't think it helps them mentally at all i think it actually makes things worse uh i mean and we're gonna agree
to disagree i think that it's to certain people this is therapeutic right to be able to let go of
it to be able to speak on it um and tell their truth because you know russell is beloved right
and who's gonna believe that so in order to be able to bring it to the public forum,
maybe it's not about everybody else.
It's about what is good for them.
Okay.
Well, thank you, Chloe.
Absolutely.
Have a great day.
You too, now.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, good morning.
It's Roya from Brooklyn.
Can you hear me?
Hey, Roya from Brooklyn.
Good morning.
Good morning.
How you guys doing?
Good.
What's your thoughts, mama?
I think it's ridiculous
um i feel like i don't think extended family should know what's going on in their immediate
family it's something going on between my mom i'm not gonna tell my aunt my cousin i might go to my
sister but i don't need anybody looking at my mom crazy like you just don't need that but social
media is definitely not gonna get that information like totally not they all out of line right all out of line yeah and the lady that just called and said you know
you know sometimes people got to express their feelings i just don't feel social media is the
place that's not therapeutic therapeutic is when you get something that's that can't be therapy
everybody like speculating about you and then other things like when what about when the family
gets when like when they make up when the family gets, like, when they make up,
when the family gets back together and everything, now y'all going to go online and be like,
all right, we're good now, and everybody still hates your dad or your ex-husband, you know?
Like, family beefs don't last all, like, forever, all the time, you know?
So they have that to face if they ever get back good again.
Hello, who's this?
Hi, I'm Kiana from Houston my name's Kiana from Houston.
Hey, Kiana from Houston. Good morning.
Good morning, Indy. Good morning,
Jess. How are you guys? We good.
Kiana, I know your hair is tore up.
I've never seen temperature
and humidity that hot
in my life. Man, I literally
just tweeted, it's 90 degrees
outside and the sun isn't even out.
Yo, it was 105 degrees. I don't even have hair't even out yo it was 105 degrees i don't even
have yes i don't even have hair and my hair was messed up in youth it was like disrespectfully
there's no leave there's no stress great break jesus well talk to us kiana what's your thoughts
um my answer is simply like i do feel like this is a private as a family but i feel like
them as women they're like fed up.
To see like a man that was like once your protector, your provider, how he is just like putting on this persona.
And I mean, Kamara says she's been dealing with it for like a couple years.
So I think they're just fed up to the point where it's like, okay, you want to put out there this persona that you're like this ex-a-dad?
Let me just show you what type
of dad you really are you know what i mean because the youngest daughter was saying how mean
basically i guess like her older sister was like getting like stuff sent to her saying to sign
away her inheritance and all this other kind of stuff and it's like abuse doesn't have to be
physical like if you call me and just start an argument with me out of nowhere, while I'm trying to finish college or I'm not even in the same state as you,
that's abuse.
It's like, no, you can't keep doing this to me as your daughter
or as your ex-wife or whoever.
Like, yes, you can block him, but at the same time, it's like,
I'm trying to give you some type of leeway because you are my dad
and I want to have a relationship with you,
but I'm only giving you so much rope before you hang yourself, sir.
And at this point,
yeah.
But you don't think
that it's,
okay, so you think
this is out of nowhere?
You don't want to even
hear his side?
You don't think that,
like, what,
you don't think,
you think he just called
and just called?
I don't think this is
out of nowhere
just off of the fact
that, like,
Samora said that
this has been happening
for years.
Like, he stopped
supporting them,
like, years ago
or whatever.
Okay. So I don't think it's out of nowhere, but I think like i said i just think they're fed up now what i have
aired it out the way that they did no because on a smaller scale my dad has kind of like i guess
done that to me so i guess that's why it's kind of personal for me yeah because like him and my mom
grew up together and my mom still hangs around the friends that they grew up with and they'll
ask me like oh how's your dad and i'll be like i don't talk to that man now do i go and put it on facebook or
any of that like no but like there's friends that ask how's your pops i'm like i don't know
right but you know two days later he'll post us on facebook and i'll say that's like me and my
brother as if we were just at his house last night right sir we ain't seen you in months we
ain't heard from you and however long you call like
you know whenever you want to but it's not like consistent like that but he puts it out there as
if it is so i just let him because so if that makes you know floats your boat go ahead i really
think it's about money a lot of it is about money but you know what another thing that that that
really bothered me and and i just want to put this out there i don't know if russell is right
if russell is wrong i just don't like the family business. But one thing that did bother me is
in one of those conversations, they said that they felt like maybe Russell is losing it. Like
maybe he's having some type of dementia or he's having problems with bipolar. And that made me
feel even worse because, you know, if your dad is going through those type of problems, you know,
to air out family business i think it's wrong
try to get your dad help yeah and i would hope that if i got to a point where i was wilding out
yeah and one of my kids or or a wife would be like you know what dad you need some help like
we need to make sure we need to take his phone away or we need to do something to actually help
him instead of trying to put his business out there right because she said herself like i think
my dad is having dementia or something is wrong. And if that is the case, I feel putting the stuff out there to embarrass him is wrong.
Crazy.
You know?
Yeah.
What's the moral of the story?
You got a moral?
Moral of the story is don't do it because family foods don't always last forever.
So just, oh my God, just talk, just communicate with your peoples.
Your peoples, make sure they always good.
And communication is the key.
Not even only in relationships, in family ships, friendships, whatever.
Communicate.
All right.
I mean, there was a little bit of time when me and my mom and my pops didn't speak.
It was like, I think like a month or two.
I don't even remember why, but we never talked about it.
Then we spoke and it was like, that was stupid.
Nothing ever happened.
Right.
That was so long ago, but I love my parents.
And I think the moral should do should be like jess take your father or your
mother out somewhere get some mushrooms yes and do some mushrooms with your parents like jess did
over the weekend and y'all bonded and we bond get all of that out clean out all all the closets and
everything and yeah y'all y'all gonna be straight y'all gonna look i would love to see my mom's and
dad on my on shroom my dad is 80 my mom is would love to see my mom's and dad on Shroom.
My dad is 80.
My mom is 78.
Could I see?
My mom might start twerking on my Shroom. They would love it.
I was gonna say.
78 and 80.
Dang, that's good.
Yeah, nah.
I can't see them.
All right.
When we come back, we got the rumor report.
What we talking about?
Ooh, Ari, Fletcher, and Tyena.
G Herbo and the Baby Mama Beefs is crazy.
All right.
We'll get into that next.
Don't move.
It's the Breakfast Club on BET.
Hey, morning, everybody. It's D, E, J, N, V. Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Jess Hilarious is crazy. All right. We'll get into that next. Don't move. It's The Breakfast Club on BET. Hey, morning, everybody.
It's D.E.J.
Envy.
Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Jess Hilarious is here.
Charlamagne's out for a couple of days.
He's out for pride, ain't he?
He's out for pride.
Yeah.
He told him.
Pride month.
Yeah.
He need it off.
Yeah.
He need it off.
Yeah.
I at least need a week off for my people, he said.
That's right.
That strong sister.
He gonna celebrate, celebrate this week.
Yes, he is.
This week.
All right.
And since he's out, Donkey of the Day, we're going to open up the phone lines and let you give Donkey the day to whoever you want.
So you can get on those phone lines right now.
800-585-1051.
Once again, Charlamagne is out.
So if you want to give Donkey the day to anybody, it could be your mama, your daddy, your baby daddy, your baby mama.
It could be your kids.
It could be your boss.
It could be your coworker.
It could be Jess. It could be me. boss. It could be your co-worker. It could be Jess.
It could be me. Whoever.
800-585-1051. And when we come back, we got your rumor report. What are we talking about?
Ooh, Young Miami said how Kitty Cat
pays the bills.
Okay. Alright.
We'll talk about it when we come back.
It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Good morning, everybody. It's
DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club. Charlamagne is out. Jess H It's DJ Envy. Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne is out.
Jess Hilarious is here.
Yep.
And let's get to the rumors.
Right now.
It's just for the mess.
I'm on YouTube.
I'm on YouTube.
Wow.
The ghetto.
Just to let us know. This is the rumor report.
I'm on YouTube.
Allegedly on The Breakfast Club.
Honey, it's ghetto up in here.
So look, we'll get to Young Miami in a minute.
That's my girl.
We're going to go straight to this.
Ari posted Tyena's number on social media over the weekend.
Ari Fletcher posted the number because she felt that it was justified.
Here's why.
Apparently, G-Hobo.
G-Hobo.
G-Herbo.
G-Hobo.
That's the homeless G-Herbo.
Yeah, that's the homeless G-Herbo.
My bad.
My bad. Apparently, he had his son your son and while he
had that son he ended up traveling going out to do something and he left the son with the girlfriend
tiana even though last week herbo posted that he was single so his relationship you know had ended
he ended up leaving your son with his girlfriend Ari started calling she's blocked
on Tyena's phone okay but you got my son and his father ain't there you know and so she she made a
couple attempts to call girl didn't answer the phone I know she called star 67 that's the old
that's the old way to get through if you blocked on somebody's number girl still didn't answer so
she said look you ain't gonna answer I can't get through to you maybe somebody else can get through to you and she put the girl number on instagram
uh on social media on twitter and on instagram if i'm not mistaken um she said this is what she
tweeted my child was left in her care and she took my son outside somewhere i called to talk to my
son she had my number blocked i told her mama i can't have her number to and to take it up with
her if i can't have a contact on who has my son because you don't like me, then you shouldn't have my son.
So now everybody got your number because find somebody else to play with.
And I ain't going to hold you.
Listen, I'm not for putting nobody number on Instagram because that was actually done to me before.
Somebody actually put both of my numbers and my home address online.
And it actually like it put me and my son in jeopardy.
So I don't,
I don't believe in doing that,
but I do believe in,
listen,
if somebody who don't like me got my child,
they shouldn't have my child.
Correct.
Like,
no,
I don't,
I don't like that.
I don't care if,
if you know,
it's 10 years down the line,
this ain't even gotten to do with herb no more.
They've been had their issues,
you know,
in the past or whatever.
And it seemed like they'd be cool on again and
off again however this is about Ari's child correct you know I'm saying so I agree do you
agree yes to a certain extent yes and I'm petty I'm petty I have Ari petty but I agree I think
G Herbo as the dad has to make sure he settles that the right way right definitely if you leave
you know these two women don't rock with each other you know you're leaving your child with with your girlfriend you know that the mom is gonna want to
call and check on a child yes you have to make it accessible so that she can speak to the child even
if it's get a burner phone here keep this phone yeah while i'm gone so that she can speak yeah
and also i kind of feel ari too if you got my child you're not answering my phone call and i'm
trying to call a checkup on my child and i can't call a checkup on my child. Okay. Well, you know what? All my 2 million followers, y'all calling checkup on my
son. You know what I mean? So I do get it. It is petty, but I'm a petty person, but I think,
you know, G Herbo needs to step up and fix that. Yep. I think he should have said like, look, man,
I'm a, he should have called. All right, look, I'm about to leave the crib. She your son is with our with Tyena.
If you need a, you know, just hit me or, you know, or and then tell Tyena.
Look, his mother gonna be trying to call him.
Do all you can answer the phone.
You don't got to talk to her.
Get a phone when they hang up.
You can block her again.
I think that's it.
I don't I don't I feel on both sides, but I'm team Ari on this one.
I don't really like that.
All right.
Young Miami said her kitty cat pays the bizzles.
Young Miami teased the freestyle
versus Tlato's
put it on the floor.
I want to hear this.
Do we got this?
We got the audio.
See?
See, you teased that anyway.
At first, I was like,
she's putting out there
that her kitty cat
paid the bills.
Is that what it's like?
Is she just putting a post at him?
Like, damn,
what are her followers going to think?
But she did a rap on the song.
That's fine.
She did a rap.
But look, the thing is
that everybody was coming at her like, yo, she can't rap. She can't rap. And so her response was like, damn, what are her followers going to think? But she did a rap on the song. That's fine. She did a rap. But look, the thing is that everybody was coming at her like, yo, she can't rap.
She can't rap.
And so her response was like, I never said I had bars.
You know what I'm saying?
My kitty cat pay the bills.
You know what I'm saying?
My bars don't got to pay the bills.
And this is the thing.
I love Young Mayan because no matter what, she just be having fun.
Absolutely.
She just be having fun.
She be getting on there saying anything and it don't matter.
She can laugh herself.
I love that. You got to love a rapper like that that it was rappers back in the day that said that didn't they
and Mac say everybody in back in the day couldn't remember he got off line he was
like like niggas in the bag you should play hip hop a hippie Davis like what
the F is a hippie like you know so is is rappers that don't be saying up these
days just like his rappers away saying them back in the day I like the city girls I think they don't buy the music that days just like it's rappers who ain't saying nothing back in the day. I like the city girls.
I think they're dope.
I like the music
that they put out.
They put content out.
The music they put out
rocks in the club
so I got no problem
with this is all
entertainment.
Yes.
Who cares?
Yes.
Yes.
They get busy.
I love them.
And then SZA addresses
negative comments on Twitter.
So SZA recently took
to Twitter to address
negative comments
from haters and showed
us exactly why we can't
listen to what people say online.
So she said, the net is not real.
Niggas said my tour would never sell.
They said my album was whack, blah, blah, blah.
We were blessed.
They say a lot.
They do their job.
God told you to be you in real life.
Love y'all, whatever.
So basically, people, she just got tired of people running their mouth or whatever.
And she set the record straight.
All my tour shows were sold out.
I sold a lot of this album
and I want to say
I like the album.
It's cool.
My little sister
turned me on to it.
Have you ever listened to it?
Yes.
I really do like it.
It's different.
And then it's SZA.
It's SZA.
I really love the album
so get off SZA nuts.
And I would say this too.
You know,
that's one bad thing
about social media
and this internet is
it was put out there for positive things to promote things things, for people to see what you're doing.
And it turned to this real demonic, negative place for a lot of people.
Yeah. And sometimes you just got to say F the haters and do what you got to do.
I'm sure people have said that, yo, your shoes ain't going to sell out.
You sell out every show. Yeah. Yo, you just did a show with three thousand people sold out.
Just you. You did it on your own. Your shows, your TV show that you got coming.
Funny, hilarious.
Me and my car shows and the stuff that I do.
Sometimes you just can't worry about it.
You throw a middle finger up and you keep pushing for you.
Boom.
That's it.
And that is the just with the mess today.
All right.
Donkey of the Day is up next.
You want to give somebody Donkey of the Day.
800-585-1051.
It doesn't matter who it is.
Charlamagne is out.
And you can give Donkey of the day to whoever you want.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.

I felt like something for the day.
You know what, bro?
I ain't going to front.
It was a fresh pair Air Force Ones,
and you dropped that whole monster energy and the way
that you dropped it it just kept going into my sock but i was like you know what ish happened
you had i think you had your three beautiful kids with you so i just like i had seven beautiful
oh yeah you had seven beautiful kids that's right so i let you rock because i figured you
were stressed out just like i was at that time but yeah you definitely poured a whole can of
monster energy in my sneaker.
Yeah, man.
My bad, man.
I felt bad the whole day about that, man.
Aw.
I appreciate the apology.
That was sweet.
Thank you, brother.
Thank you for coming by and bringing your seven kids.
You beat me by one, brother.
Yeah, I really got ten, man.
That was just seven of them.
You got ten?
Damn.
Jesus.
Yeah, that was just seven of my ten. Happy belated Father's Day, son. Damn. You got 10. Damn. Jesus. Yeah. Yeah, that was just seven of my 10.
Happy belated Father's
Day, son. Damn it, man. All right.
I really had a good time at the show. My kids
did, too, man. I appreciate y'all, man.
I'm glad your kids had a good time. Hopefully
we'll see you at the next one. You from Houston, brother?
Yeah, yes, sir. Greensporn area.
All right. Well, thank you, man. Hopefully I'll see you next year, too.
Yes, sir. You sure will, man. Have a good
day, y'all. You, too, now, bro. You, too. Hello, who's this? This is L.A. from Kentucky. man. Hopefully, I'll see you next year, too. Yes, sir. You surely will, man. Have a good day, y'all. You, too, now, bro.
You, too.
Hello, who's this?
This is L.A. from Kentucky.
L.A., I know what you're going to say.
I'm just going to say I appreciate you, but you know we're not taking shots at nobody
up here, all right?
I'm not taking those shots, Santa.
Nope, nope, nope, nope.
Goodbye.
I didn't mean to go to that call.
I'll tell you what he said after.
Oh, God.
It wasn't about you, though.
It wasn't about you.
It wasn't about you, though.
It wasn't about you, though. It wasn't about you. It wasn't about you, though. It wasn't about you, though.
Hello, who's this?
J.K.
What's up, bro?
Get it off your chest.
I was trying to do the donkey of the day.
Oh, I said get it off your chest.
My bad.
Yeah, who you want to give donkey to?
I want to give it to Russell Simmons' kid.
Who?
Russell Simmons' kid.
Russell Simmons' kid.
All his kids. Nah. And his baby mama. Who? Russell Simmons' kid. Russell Simmons' kid. All his kids.
Nah.
And his baby mama.
They deserve Dunkin' of the day.
We not gonna give them Dunkin' of the day
because that's still their emotions.
That's still their dad
and they're getting things off their chest.
Even though we might not like it all
or we might not agree,
that ain't Dunkin' of the day worthiness, man.
That's how they feel.
That's their dad.
Okay, and I understand that.
That's why they need to get the Dunkin' of the day.
I'm a blue-collar worker. And my kids deserve to stand at me now. That's their dad. that and yet you can embarrass him on on face on facebook and i have told it more okay oh he's
only human so you go whatever he did it was a mistake whatever he did you got to look at that
your father still loves you he's still working hard and he always worked hard to provide for
you in there if not y'all could be getting food stamps. Y'all could be pregnant already.
You know, out here living in a project or something.
But it's because the father, not the mother, is the reason why they have that type of life.
Okay.
I'm not saying that you're not supposed to have this thing.
But I'm just saying you can't embarrass them.
You can't just tell the world you're against them.
We fathers, black fathers,
they already got it hard enough
as it is with the mother.
Let alone with the kids.
No, I like that.
We need to start
teaching our kids
we don't have to pick a side
when the mother and father
is setting up.
Okay, brother.
Jesus, he was passionate.
I guess he was.
He went in like
Charlemagne would have went in.
This is why.
I said, you ain't got to do it.
I am going to do it. This is why. It's your you ain't got to do it. I am going to do it.
This is why.
Y'all's segment, not mine.
I love it.
Hello, who's this?
Oh, it's John.
John, what up?
We're going to get donkey too.
What's going on?
I'm going to give it to DJ Envy, man.
That would be me.
Go ahead.
I got to do it.
I'm sorry.
I've been meaning to call in.
You do an event every couple months here in Jacksonville, Florida called Courts and
Forks. Whispers.
Clubs called Whispers. Yeah, yeah,
yeah, but you did Courts and Forks.
I remember vividly it was on my birthday
last year, September.
And you would have no
courts and no forks. It was just
finger food and liquor
popping around. I was like, where the courts at?
Look, look, look, bro. I don't do the food at the restaurant. I just DJ and liquor popping around. I was like, where the court at? Look, look, look, bro. I don't
do the food at the restaurant. I just
DJ and provide the soundtrack.
Actually, I think I'm going to be there next Friday.
And I really love it. Jacksonville, shout out to
Duval. Yeah, it's called Whisper.
They got the dopest Caribbean food in there.
But I tell them to bring some food.
You know, sometimes
y'all want to fight me.
Yeah, you ain't got nothing to say yet.
It's our. You can go ahead and have a talk. Hey, you know how sometimes y'all want to fight me? Yeah, you ain't got nothing to say yet. I don't know. Yeah, it's all right.
You can go ahead and have a talk.
I had too high expectations of you, man.
It ain't my club.
I just DJ'd.
Look, I always got high expectations.
I come to Breakfast Club.
Ain't no breakfast, so I feel you, brother.
Yes, donkey of the day.
Donkey of the day.
All right, 800-585-1051.
Charlemagne is out, so we just let you guys do it.
Now, when we come back, let's open up the phone lines.
There was a young lady in Philly that didn't get a diploma because she did the gritty as she was walking across the stage.
I know you've seen it on social media.
Let's discuss it.
A lot of people have been doing this.
A lot of schools have been doing not giving these kids diplomas if they dance, if they cheer.
That's horrible.
If they do anything crazy.
Let's discuss when we come back.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
It's topic time.
Call 800-585-1051
to join in to the discussion with The Breakfast Club.
Talk about it.
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy,
Charlamagne Th guy we are the breakfast
club jess hilarious is here yes and we were opening up the phone lines 800-585-1051 about
this young girl from philly who was getting her diploma and they wouldn't give her diploma because
she did the gritty let's let's hear the news report horrible she stole that moment from me
i will never get that again hausa abdurRahman cried tears of humiliation instead of joy at her high school graduation on June 9th. The 17-year-old says
the principal warned students their families could not cheer or clap when they walk on stage.
And I understood the rules so I was telling in the video I'm like do not say nothing because
I want my diploma. I knew and understood what we were supposed to do in this video you can see abdur rahman dance across the stage and then hear the response from the crowd she says because they
laughed the principal told her she could not receive her diploma if they thought that i
shouldn't like do the gritty across the stage and do the girls higher traditions nobody should have
been able to wave or blow kisses or do period signs because i feel like that's the same thing so i just thought it was really unfair all right i think that is how do
you feel that's i feel like that's messed up because you gotta take an account what these
kids been through like all right i didn't do that at my graduation i also graduated in 2010 too like
you know what i'm saying but these kids they survived the pandemic for two years they survived
virtual they didn't
even get to have proms a lot of them they're the guys even the boys the basketball teams like
school sports they didn't have that and y'all want them to not even do the great not you they act
like they were flashing people or something like yo how can we sell we can't celebrate across the
stage as long as nobody's getting hurt as long long as it's not disrupting the whole graduation.
What is the problem?
I think that's BS.
I do not like that.
I agree.
And I got to say this.
We black people.
Yeah.
I don't care if it's a white school, if it's an Asian school, if it's a Spanish school.
If there's a black person or a black person graduating, we're going to cheer.
Period.
Because we proud.
You damn right.
A lot of us for a lot of families, a lot of times it's the first person in our family to
graduate so we're super excited when i went to when i graduated from hampton i was the first
person in my family to get a diploma and my parents were cheering they wasn't gonna sit
there and be like no we're gonna wait no we're cheering god damn it because we all got that's
right so no no no they should give that i think it's so foul that they did that.
Like you said, those kids been through-ish the last couple of years.
COVID.
Not having a prom.
Not having freshman-ness and sophomore-ness.
So no, they deserve it.
Let them girls gritty or dudes gritty across the stage.
Let them cheer.
Let them blow kisses.
They not doing nothing crazy.
They ain't twerking.
They not doing nothing crazy.
And even if they wanted to twerk, they ain't doing nothing with no twerk.
They all fully dressed. Y'all got them damn church gowns on them. Yeah,'t twerking. They're not doing nothing crazy. And even if they wanted to twerk, they ain't no twerk. They all fully dressed.
Y'all got them damn church gowns on them.
Yeah, they can twerk.
It's all right.
But I just feel like that's wrong.
I don't care.
I know my little sister,
she graduated.
She's sitting right there right now.
She's 19.
They said they told me
and a couple of her friends
and our dad,
look, please don't.
You know, they said it to the whole auditorium.
Don't say anything.
Just hold your applause to them.
I said, that's my effing sister. I don't care. She went through a lot whole auditorium don't say anything don't just hold your applause to them i said that's my sister i don't care she went through a lot i'm glad my
baby made it she made it through so i wanted to celebrate that i think everybody should be able
to celebrate their kids absolutely i mean my you know my son just graduated and i could tell it
was some caribbean people in the audience right because when they came through it was like
all right now that i. Y'all started dying laughing. I said, oh, my goodness.
Let's go to the phone.
Hello, who's this?
Hello, everyone.
This is Florence.
Hey, I don't know what's wrong with your phone.
I don't know if it's speaker or Bluetooth.
Can you help me?
Hold on one second.
Give me a second.
Okay.
You're cutting grass in the background.
No, that's right.
Hello?
All right, talk to us.
What you saying, mama?
So, I'm from Philadelphia, so I know
exactly the school that
had the ceremony where the kids
were dancing. It's
called George High School.
Uh-huh. She was a lot of kids. Philadelphia, if anybody don't know, the prom date is going insane.
Some kids don't even make it past middle school.
So if this girl wants to express how happy and proud she was to graduate high school,
I don't see what was the problem.
It's not like she was doing back flips, break dancing, and, like, saying everybody in the crowd, wait.
You know, it was just a simple dance
the staff she just was like i don't know what she was thinking but i just think it was rude for them
not to give her the diploma on stage and she had to wait off stage right i agree and and especially
when you sit through those ceremonies and those those ceremonies are long. Long. Those speeches suck.
We got to hear, you know, people talk about things that are not funny, that don't relate to us.
So we pretty much sitting there sleeping, waiting for them to call our child's name or our friend's name or our family member's name.
So let them get a little cheer on when that happens.
Hello, who's this?
Hi, good morning.
This is Catherine from Jersey.
Hey, Catherine from Jersey.
Talk to us.
How you guys feeling?
Can you hear me?
We can hear you clearly.
All righty goody.
Listen, I understand that there is rules for everything regarding the woman who was, you
know, denied her diploma across states.
I do agree that we must follow rules, but I just feel as if that they should have implemented
a rule where everybody can feel included. For example,
if you didn't want anybody to clap for any students and you should have made it
so everybody clapped for every student or put an audio sound behind it so that
everybody can hear like, you know, cheering for them.
But essentially you took it away,
taking it away from students who really tried really,
really hard or who have the support,
who want to show them that they care about them.
Why should people who have the support be penalized?
I agree.
That's right.
And you know, my son's graduation,
one of the young men that graduated,
his father died, I think, like a week ago.
So when he stood up, the whole crowd cheered for him.
Yeah, yeah.
Because it's a village.
We all supported that young man.
And nobody was like, no, don't do that. No that no it was like it was a form of love yeah and i don't i
don't see a problem with it 800-585-1051 if you're just joining us we're talking about this young
lady from philly she graduated last week and she didn't get a diploma because she did the gritty
as she was walking across that stage what's your thoughts about it we'll take your calls when we
come back it's the breakfast club good. Good morning. Topic time.
Call 800-585-1051
to join in to the discussion
with The Breakfast Club.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy,
Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Jess Hilarious is here.
Charlamagne's out
a couple of days.
He's celebrating pride, right?
Yes, he's there
in France for pride.
So he took off the
whole week with his people oh he about to have a good time yeah you know there's some rich gays
over there he went over there to get that money okay so you know what uh young miami said kitty
cat make her money kitty cat make him some money this weekend yes now if you're just joining us
we're talking about this young lady from philly who uh graduated and when she graduated she did
the gritty across the stage and she didn't get her diploma and this is this is the news report she stole that moment from
me i will never get that again hafsa abdur rahman cried tears of humiliation instead of joy at her
high school graduation on june 9th the 17 year old says the principal warned students their families
could not cheer or clap when they walk on stage.
And I understood the rules, so I was telling in the video, I'm like,
do not say nothing because I want my diploma.
I knew and understood what we were supposed to do.
In this video, you can see Abdur Rahman dance across the stage
and then hear the response from the crowd.
She says because they laughed, the principal told her she could not receive her diploma.
If they thought that I shouldn't like do the gritty across the stage and do the girls
high traditions, nobody should have been able to wave or blow kisses or do period signs
because I feel like that's the same thing. So I just thought it was really unfair.
So we're asking 800-585-1051. What are your thoughts? Hello, who's this?
What's up, y'all?
This is Bucks Carter representing Ohio.
My thing about the day, they let them young adults celebrate.
You know what I'm saying?
They done went through all that four years of school just to get to this point.
You know?
A little celebration dance.
I heard nobody let them get their diploma and walk across the grave that they got they got that's right that's right i'm with you know i'm saying no i'm with you a thousand percent
yeah hello who's this hey breakfast club this is dominique hey good morning good morning good
morning um i just wanted to kind of elaborate on the topic of the kids not being able to celebrate this whole graduation thing.
I just feel like this principal, teacher, school administration, whatever she was, she's acting like somebody's bitter baby mama.
Like, why would you not allow these children to celebrate an accomplishment that they waited four to five, some of them probably even longer, to be able to celebrate?
Yeah, I'm with you.
The families can't clap.
They can't dance.
They can't.
It's ridiculous.
She deserves donkey of the day, honestly.
There you go.
Well, thank you, Mama.
I know that's right.
It's a graduation.
It's not court. Hello, who's this? Mark. What's up, brother? Hey, Mark. Now, you. Well, thank you, mama. I know that's right. It's the graduation. It's not court.
Hello, who's this?
Mark.
What's up, brother?
Hey, Mark.
Now, you a teacher, Mark?
Yes, sir.
So talk to us from the teacher side.
What's your thoughts?
What's your opinion, Mark?
From the teacher side, I'm a behavioral specialist.
So from the teacher's side, it's like, and our teachers all the time, that we're behind
the curve when it comes to
uh discipline behavior and discipline in certain things um it's just with the with the young woman
the young lady getting her diploma and dancing across the stage and her performance being held
it's not correct because um what is what's the message trying the principal what message are you sending
that you want to
show
it's already that
the graduation rates
are at an all time
high
for her to get that diploma
and show and express
that she's happy by doing the dance
out of the problem.
Well, let's be honest, too, teacher.
I mean, you're not withholding my diploma.
So you're not going to give it to me that day.
You're going to give me my diploma.
What, you're going to keep the diploma forever?
So you're going to give me my diploma.
So you're just trying to show a little who's the boss in this situation, which is effed up.
I mean, like you said, a lot of these kids and a lot of these parents work very hard to make sure that their kid gets their diploma make sure that
their kids do go to school and that their kids do pass so when that kid gets a diploma we're excited
we're super duper happy and i ain't mad i ain't mad at doing a little gritty they ain't doing
nothing crazy it's not like they're trying to do the swag surf in the middle of the
graduation to do a little gritty or the little handshake or blow a kiss
or wear it to their parents and family.
I don't see nothing wrong with that.
And then think about like the parents that are recording a teacher, like the parents
that are recording.
I know I recorded when they put the certificate in his hand.
Just imagine you the parent of the little girl who did the gritty and then you waiting
for her to get it and she ain't get it.
Like that's the video that you can't even get back. get it like that's the video that you can't even get back you know that's the time that you can't even rewind
right some people want that video of that diploma going in their child's hand that's crazy yeah i
ain't gonna lie my wife should have been thrown out of my son's uh you know graduation because
she ran up there with the camera yeah she did but you know that my wife is like that like she wants
that moment so she leaves the seat she running up there with the camera i ain't gonna lie they
threw her out i'd be like I see you outside Like that's her
That's her
You know
My wife did that
She came with the camera
As they calling her name
Yeah she's like that
That's her baby
Oh my god
Alright
I know
Well what's the moral of the story
Oh my
The moral of the story
Let them do the gritty
Like it ain't like
Like
Think about it like this
If somebody invited Carisha
To the graduation,
would we be banned
or them just doing the gritty?
Would you rather have
City Girls perform
at your graduation,
principal,
or would you have kids
doing the gritty
across the stage?
The kids doing the gritty
across the stage.
It could be a lot worse.
I'm just saying.
Congratulations.
Give those people their diplomas.
Congratulations to them kids.
Enjoy every moment.
And parents,
you did a great job
if your child graduated we salute you as well now we got rumors on the way what we talking about
oh dr umar said i'm gonna tell you what he said after that because he said some stuff
dr umar all right dr umar stop the dr umar we'll get into that when we come back it's the breakfast
is your country falling apart feeling tired depressed a little bit revolutionary consider
this start your own
country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Laudonia. I'm Jackson I,
King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a
great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tribe own country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullet holes.
We need help!
We need help!

Historical Records brings history to life through hip-hop.
Flash, slam, another one gone.
Bash, bam, another one gone.
The crack of the bat and another one gone.
The tip of the cap is another one gone. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history.
Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama
who refused to give up her seat on the city bus
nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Check it. Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in
to Historical Records. Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise.

I'm on YouTube. I'm on YouTube. I'm on YouTube. I'm on YouTube. I'm on YouTube. I'm on YouTube. I'm on YouTube. I'm on YouTube. I'm on YouTube. I'm on YouTube. I'm on get to the rumors. It's just for the best.
I'm on YouTube.
Child, the ghetto.
This is the rumor report.
I'm on YouTube.
Allegedly on The Breakfast Club.
Honey, it's ghetto up in here.
Is Lil' Meech cheating on Summer Walk?
I know I said we was going to talk about Dr. Omar.
He always saying something.
I'm going to get back to him.
Lil' Meech may be cheating on Summer walker now i'm gonna just say yes last week a girl named anisa ali abdu shared a post on
her instagram where she can uh where she was seen wearing the bmf chain or whatever right so
summer i hate when girls do this but summer walker jumped in this girl's dm right so this is how the
dm conversation went a little bit now this is interesting because the girl actually dm'd summer walker three years ago like hello sis welcome to toronto so she's
obviously been a fan um summer jumped in her and her dms like how y'all know one another the girl
said hi love first off i'm a huge supporter and me and him don't know each other at all my apologies
if you feel disrespected i can take the videos down if you like i'm not that type of woman
summer said no you don't have to take them down but if y'all don't know each other how you end up with his chain on
right so then the girl was like it was such did someone talk like that you know she talked like
real deep and subtle like you know like she sings so she real real real uh erica by doish so the
girl said it was such a random night but i ran into the security just to you know try it on and
me and i didn't have a conversation on god so she was, so you just happened to get in the car with it on?
Like, no conversation?
She said, I had no conversation with Meech.
Summer said, I know I'm just saying how you get in the car with no conversation.
She said, I spoke with security and I was in the car with security.
Damn.
So then Summer said, and him or security or just security?
Like, y'all was by yourself.
She said, only security.
My thing is, Summer, you're doing too damn much.
Because bitches be lying.
Girls lie. And so this is what happened, you're doing too damn much. Because bitches be lying. Girls lie.
And so this is what happened.
Later on, she posted this.
So Summer posted this, right?
And then Summer, Meech jumped in the girls' DMs, right?
And she started DMing.
The girls started DMing him.
Put the fan down.
Oh, my God.
He's turning into his husband.
Oh, no.
I know.
This is the tip.
This is some tea, boy.
All right.
And I did not know Lord Meech's
name was Michael.
Like, I ain't know.
That's what it say,
though.
But in the
screenshots provided
by the girl, she
said, can you make
a post clarifying?
That's not me in
the club.
I'd appreciate it.
Meech said back to
her, I'm going to
just say that your
friends, I'm going to
just say that your
friends, because I
don't want them
doing no extra ass.
I'll cash out you
for making a post.
Please do it ASAP.
So she,
and this is the thing.
When,
when Summer Walker asked him about the girl,
he was like,
uh,
that's cap.
I don't know that ugly girl.
You know,
that girl was bad.
Don't even do that.
You know,
that girl looked good.
Uh,
uh,
Anissa Ali Abdul.
She looked good.
Right.
And so she provided screenshots letting us know.
Yeah,
you do,
you do mess with him.
And she also said,
let's not play
dumb when you called summer on facetime who did uh who did you take upstairs to the ritz so he also
called summer or summer called him he answered the phone while he was with the daggone girl
oh my god this is so crazy so the whole thing about it is he's saying something ain't going
away he jumped in the comments and was like, Summer not going nowhere.
I don't know that girl, blah, blah, blah.
She provided the screenshots that she did, Norma and all of that type of stuff.
And Summer is still like, I'm not going nowhere.
But look, he cheated.
He cheating on you.
And I think he need to keep cheating.
Just to be honest, I'm just going to say that.
Listen, just keep on cheating on her because that's how we get the best Summer Walker music.
Yo, you stop. That's why I think, think listen listen all right now take taking account of what
i'm saying the soft girl era that's some that's dope that she too in love ain't go she ain't going
through nothing i think he's now about to she about to have like her music about to be back
on london london on the track vibe you know i mean that's the summer that we love when she's
going through the pain and um and i just hope she don't give Meach no baby.
That's what happens when you mess with a deli smelly nigga, though.
That's what happens.
You know, when they smell.
You stupid, yo.
Something get a little fishy.
But I will say this, though.
That BMF chain is kind of like a chain that I seem like everybody wants to wear.
Like, people see it in the film.
People see, you know, it's a monumental, it's one of those monumental chains, right?
His father had it.
It's something that we always see. So I could understand people wanting to put it on yeah and
people be lying every day people be lying every day the security security said man i ain't got
i ain't messing with that girl when she even said all right no i'm lying i didn't but i feel like
she felt like this yo he obviously told her what to say if someone was to ever come at him right
come at her right that's what you say and she probably feel like like so many other women who cheat with girl she women and
they know got women i i lied for you and you and y'all making a mockery of me all right so let me
really put it out there because you know you know me you know we slept together you know we sleep
together and you know i was with you this night that your girlfriend called you don't play with
these side chicks y'all now dr omar says black men are the reason that black women are masculine
he always got something to say y'all i love this man let's let's let's hear what he said
we say i am the better man but i shouldn't be held responsible because you wanted to choose
a pookie and a ray ray that's not me i work too hard in my life to what i said pookie and ray ray
shouldn't exist and the only way people people and ray ray exists because we're not in the community
making those boys the men they need to be i mean to tell me the only way people, people, Ray Ray exists because we're not in the community making those boys,
the men they need to be.
I mean,
to tell me the only woman I could look forward in my life is a masculine
woman that has kids by other men.
Mistakes made by black men systemically gave rise to the conditions that
allowed her to be masculine and made her end up with a man that you consider
to be less than what he should be.
The black woman has been the be all in all in our community for half of a century.
And now we want to turn around and say because she didn't do it perfectly enough or remain feminine enough
when she had to absorb our responsibilities plus her own.
That's insensitive and disingenuous.
So I agree. I agree to a certain extent i i do believe that uh black men
are uh partially the reason well are the reason that black women are masculine i'm gonna say
me myself my masculinity comes from a black man but it comes from my black father raising me
um and my my big brother who's also a black man you know what i mean i was uh i don't say i was
bullied but yeah i was picked on by my big brother you know what i mean i was uh i don't say i was bullied but yeah i was picked on
by my big brother you know what i mean like he he used to say i was adopted he used to crack on me
that's why i'm so quick on my feet like you know what i mean just he would always joan on me going
and going in make me cry and then my dad didn't like to see us cry me and my brother we didn't
like to see us cry like i remember coming in the house and losing a fight and he'd be like you lost why are you crying all right we're gonna go back and fight until you beat her up
like and that may sound like abuse to y'all that but that made me who i am today and i love i loved
how i was raised i get what you say we'll talk about it because we got to go but i understand
that the reason i say i understand that because with my daughter and i guess you could say well
you you're treating her to be more masculine but i'm teaching her to be more independent to stand
on her own so she never has to worry about a man that she can support herself yes she's still a woman she's
still a female but i want her to be independent i want her to have her own yeah i want her to
never feel like she has to sell her kitty to make money or she never has to rely on a man for
anything that's right now if they're in a relationship and things are good that's fine
but you don't need anybody right your father's right here and your father will hold you down to the day that he dies.
There you go.
That is what it is.
But we'll talk about it on the comeback.
The People's Choice Mix is up next.
That was Jess with The Mess.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Your mornings will never be the same.

of the best content there's literally something for everyone in your household max the one to
watch subscription required visit max.com everybody is dj envy charlemagne the guy we are the breakfast
club jess hilarious is here i am now charlemagne is out for a couple of days he's uh celebrating
pride right yes he is he's uh celebrating pride, right? Yes, he is. He's celebrating pride.
Took the whole week off.
He took the whole week off, you know, for the rich guys.
All right.
Now, we were talking about something that Dr. Umar said about him feeling that women are more masculine and men are more feminine.
Now, when he says men are more feminine, I guess he's saying men are expressing their feelings more.
Is that what's making them more feminine
or is the fact that guys
are wearing pocketbooks now?
Which one?
I think he's gearing toward both
to be honest.
He didn't really go into depth
specifically,
but I do agree with him.
I think that,
he said for half a century,
it's been half a century now
that guys started getting softer.
I don't know if I'm going to say
softer.
I'm not sure,
but just less masculine. Yeah, so'm not sure, but just less masculine.
Yeah, so I guess softer, but just less masculine.
Yeah, it's like we kind of switched.
I've had hella conversations where I feel like the role of a man and the role of a woman have switched.
Because remember how women used to live off guys?
Now you got guys living off women.
True.
I'm not saying that it is wrong, because I don't think women should ever been living off men in the first.
I don't think nobody should be able to live off nobody.
I think everybody should have their own independent independence and everything.
But I do agree with what he was saying to a certain extent.
I do feel like I think because men are more sensitive, more emotional, I think it it slows down a lot of abuse in relationships.
Yeah.
And the reason I say that is because I think a lot of times I think men were not told to speak.
Like it was soft to speak.
It was soft to cry.
It was soft to tell their feelings.
So they would have all that bottled up emotion.
Yeah.
And I think they would take it out physically.
And I think hopefully that when men are able to talk and express their emotion, express their feelings,
it allows men to get things off their chest without doing it in a physical form.
Yeah.
I remember as a kid, you know, what would a guy do when he's mad?
He'd punch a wall.
You know what I mean?
He'd do something stupid that actually hurts them, but I think it's better to express their feelings.
I told my sons, like, you should be able to express your feelings.
You shouldn't feel like that's soft because you want to talk or that's soft because you feel a way about some things.
And on the flip side, for my daughters daughters i want them to have their own i tell them i want
them to be independent i want them not to have to rely on or uh be there because a man wants you to
be there i want you to have your own if that's being more masculine i don't have a problem with
that that's what i'm saying i don't really have a problem with having to be masculine or more hard
up or whatever and
then I also think it's wordplay as well because I think the guy who was talking to Dr. Umar he um
he was saying like oh so you think so I'm supposed to find the only woman that I have to find now is
a masculine woman who already got kids by another man and I think that it was just the words and how
hard Dr. Umar speaks that he was saying it but i once you once you like elaborate
on it and pick it apart piece by piece you can understand what he's saying but i don't have a
problem with being masculine on my masculinity level i don't have a problem with that because
the same way you raising your daughter my dad raised me that way and then also to be tough as
well so i i didn't have a bunch of females around me the only female i really had around me growing
up was my mother a lot of boy cousins a lot of uncles and stuff you know so that's where mine come from but i will say
this too i love to see you the way that you are right the reason being is you know you're a woman
in this industry and people attack you right you're a comedian they attack you for everything
they can talk about your jokes they can talk about your looks they can talk about your accent but i
can tell that what your dad has instilled in you you fire back where it's like you make these men that attack you want
to cry yeah and i love that i'm like that's what that's that's what i want my daughter to be a word
you want to do this i'm gonna attack you so bad that that that man that you thought was so tough
is now in the corner crying yeah i love that yeah and just and let me tell you something just don't
play just ain't scared of nobody just walks around with an ar-15 and will fire rounds at people period all day long you already know emmy
and i got a salute to everybody that came out to houston for my car show an amazing time i want to
say thank you for the city of houston for pulling up and also got to send a rest in peace to uh big
pokey who passed away over the weekend uh big pokey's a houston legend he was a performing
on stage and and passed out and collapsed and died over the weekend so i just want to send
love condolences to his family and rest in peace all right when we come back we got the positive
note and more it's the breakfast club good morning everybody it's dj nv charlamagne the guy we are
