Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. A decade ago, I was on the trail of one of the country's most elusive serial killers, but it wasn't until 2023 when he was finally caught. The answers were there, hidden in plain sight. So why did it take so long to catch him? I'm Josh Zeman, and this is Monster, hunting the Long Island serial killer, the investigation into the most notorious killer in New York,

I sat down with psychologist Dr. Steve Poulter to unpack shame, anxiety, and the emotional pain men were never taught how to name. Part of the way through the Valley of Despair is realizing this has happened, and you have to

Charlemagne Nicole.
Starting point is 00:02:24 Peace to the planet. It's Monday. How y'all feel out there? I feel blessed black and highly favorite. Happy to be here. Another day to serve our beautiful listeners. Good morning. Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Back to the work week. How are your guys feeling? How was your weekend, Jess? It was cool. I had to take care of some business, but it was cool. It was really, really good. Solomon, what you do? I had a great weekend.
Starting point is 00:02:45 You know, what I realized this weekend is, and I know this sounds crazy coming from a Dallas Cowboy fan. What's that? Watching football and your team ain't playing this kind of years. really trash. No, it's not. Yes, it is. This game, this week, it was actually dope.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Yeah, but you know, I need some emotional stakes. You know what I mean? I started feeling anxiety for teams that ain't even mine. Damn. You know what I mean? I started rooting sitting there wet. Come on, Jacksonville, pull it out. You know what I can't be happy.
Starting point is 00:03:09 I want to see my guy at Lord Duval happy. Then when I found myself, you know, rooting for the... I wasn't rooting for the evil. I was wrong about it for one split second. And then I remember my home girl, Brenda, it's 49th fans. So I was like, you know what? 49ers, pull it out.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Because we got a bunch of Eagle fans up here who will be heartbreaking. So God bless them. And it is. Yes, they are. They're very heartbroken today. Eddie's heartbroken, said it's heartbroken. You know. That's all I remember.
Starting point is 00:03:30 That's it. It's more of Philly fans uphead than anything, though. It is. Like on a producer's team. Yes. But I'm upset because, I mean, now they can fly back with me. I mean, the Ravens, that's how I felt last week. And then they even fired John Harbaugh.
Starting point is 00:03:45 I thought that first week in football season with my Giants. I never said, we're not going on way back to the first week. We got time for that, man. Yeah, but now it was a great weekend for sports. I mean, all the games were pretty close, so I loved it. D. I had a good weekend. Oh, no, it was a, if you're a football fan like we are, it was definitely some great football on.
Starting point is 00:04:02 But it's just trash when you know your team not playing. It's just like, eh, I don't have to watch this. All right. Which is why I was in bed by 9 o'clock last night. Me too. Even though I didn't want to stay up because. The Patriots game? Golden Globes?
Starting point is 00:04:15 No. You're playing by the Red Globes. After the Patriots game, Bill Simmons went live on Netflix. Oh, did he? And, you know, being that that's what we're going to be doing on January 26. Preface Club will be on Netflix. I wanted to see how it was. But I didn't stay up for that either.
Starting point is 00:04:29 No, the Patriots game was too late. I was not bad. Who won? Patriots, right? Yes, Patriots won last time. All right. And salute to all the nurses out in the New York City area. The nurses this morning are possibly going on strike in the next five minutes.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Why? Yeah, they haven't met... In the next five minutes? In the next five minutes, they said between 605, so they should start striking. What's going on? They haven't met their deal. So they wouldn't negotiate in a new deal. They haven't negotiated a new deal with some of the big hospitals in the city.
Starting point is 00:04:52 So they're going to go on strike this morning. That's very specific. And that sounds like they don't really want to strike. It sounds like they put out an ultimatum and nobody met it. And it's like, y'all got five more minutes. No, no, no, no. You don't do it. And nobody's still going to do it.
Starting point is 00:05:04 No, no, no. That is so messed up. Five minutes. I promise you'm going to do it. They said expecting to see the strike is happening about 6 o'clock between 6 and 605. That's when you start seeing them pull up on wherever they go. So I'm calling them to all the nurses out there. I hope you get the money that you guys need.
Starting point is 00:05:18 You guys are saving people, public service. Absolutely. Absolutely. And especially the ones that I know striking today is from the hospital where my daughter was, where they helped my daughter. I'm for the nurses. I'm getting all the money. Absolutely. But it sounds like y'all pump a big little bit.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Stop it. Stop it. It's two more than a minute. It's six o'clock, man. Just bumbling up. Because it is so cold out there, so I hope you all don't get sick, man. Fettie Wap will be joining us this morning. Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Now, Fettie Wap is released January 8th from prison. He actually pulled up on us Friday, so we're going to get that back on this morning. Yeah, we put it out Friday. you know, just because he was home a couple of hours. He wanted to put it out first. He'd put it out. Hey, it messed with us and we do it out there.
Starting point is 00:05:59 We're going to play it back for everybody who radio and online is two different things. You might have watched it online. You might not have heard it on the air. So to our millions of people who listen on the air, here you go this morning. That's right. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Well, let's get the show cracking. When we come back, we got front page news. Mimi will be joining us. And yesterday was Mary J. Bloss's birthday. Hey, drop my food bumps from Mary J. Blod. This record right here. is one of my favorite records of all time, if not my favorite ever.
Starting point is 00:06:24 We know. It's the breakfast club morning. Once again, happy birthday, Miss Mary Jane Blige. Yesterday was a birthday. I only right to start the show like that. You had a great story,
Starting point is 00:06:32 but I guess you don't want to tell it. But I'll tell you something else. I did Port Mines podcast and they tried to play with me because they do karaoke on the show, and they threw this on. Like, you don't know this song. Of all songs. Of all songs.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Shout out the Drey and Lex show. All right. Let's get some front page news. Now we got to start up with some quick sports. NFL this weekend was great. Rams beat the Panthers, 34, 31. Bears beat the Packers, 31, 27. The Bills beat the Jaguars,
Starting point is 00:06:58 27, 24, and the Eagles lost to the 49 is 23. 14.19. The last game, last night, which I miss, the Patriots beat the charges, 16 to 3. And tonight, and Monday night football, a Texas take on the Steelers at 815. I don't give a damn. Salute everybody in Houston.
Starting point is 00:07:14 That listens to us in Houston, I don't care. I'm going to watch the game tonight, though. Yeah, I'm going to watch it. I'm a little bit of it. What's up, Mimi? Peace, Mimi Brown. Good morning. Good morning, Charlamagne. Jess, how y'all doing?
Starting point is 00:07:25 Hey, Mimi. Good morning. Good morning. Okay, so we start this morning in Minnesota, where the city of Minneapolis, it is still reeling after a deadly ice encounter and where tensions are only escalating. Now, Renee Good, she was shot and killed last week during an ice operation. She was 37 years old. Now, federal officials, they confirmed the agent involved was part of a specialized ice tactical unit.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Now, since that shooting, Minneapolis, they have been on edge. Federal authorities have deployed hundreds more ice and homeland security personnel into the city, marking one of the largest enforcement operations yet. Now, that heavier federal presence is sparking growing protest nationwide and public outcry. Dozens of people have been arrested, and three Democratic members of Congress say they were denied access when they tried to enter an ice facility to conduct oversight. That local and state leaders, they are now clashing with the federal government over the investigation itself. Minnesota officials, they want a joint probe with the FBI but say they've been cut off from evidence and interviews.
Starting point is 00:08:29 As a result, the FBI is now investigating that case alone. And at the center of all of this is the Trump administration's response. Homeland Security Secretary Kristy Nome, she is defending federal actions calling the incident domestic terrorism. And the administration has also released new video. They released it over the weekend showing the minutes leading up to the confrontation. In an exchange with CNN's Jake Tapper yesterday, Noam, she was pressed about the footage and the growing federal presence in the city. Now, we want to warn you some of the audio that you are about to hear may be hard to listen to. Let's listen.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Get out of the ball. Oh, bitch. Is that Agent Ron? voice calling Renee Goode a f***ing bitch? I can't determine which one it is, but it could be, sir. If you look at what the definition of domestic terrorism is, it completely fits this situation on the ground. This individual, as you saw in the video that we released just 48 hours after this incident,
Starting point is 00:09:32 showed that this officer was hit by her vehicle, she weaponized it, and he defended his life and those colleagues around him and the public. What evidence are you looking at that so many other people around, the country look at and they say it looked to me her tires were turned to the right she was moving her car and they see a woman trying to flee Jake I'm watching the I'm watching the videos other people are watching the videos I'm getting them back everything that we've stated as the department of Homeland Security in this administration has been factual and I wish we would talk factually about what we see every day from these protesters what they do what they say how they
Starting point is 00:10:08 chant over and over kill ice attack law enforcement how they're trained to perpetuate violence against them and to stop the work that they do every day. I mean, it was domestic terrorism, but not from Renee Good. It was domestic terrorism from the ICE agent. And I mean, I wish Jake Tapper would have asked her, you know, why are Republicans so hell bent
Starting point is 00:10:26 on getting us to believe that we didn't see what we all saw? Yeah, that new video was nothing different. It's not like it was just a different angle of the same nastiness and the same disrespect and the same killing. He called her a effing bitch after he shot and killed her. Yeah. Come on, man. The wheels would not turn towards him.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Like you, it's, oh my goodness. Makes no sense. Absolutely. And now this story, though, is taking a very different spotlight. It took center stage last night at the Golden Globes on the red carpet celebrities, including Mark Ruffalo, Wanda Sykes, Gene Smart, and others. They wore pins that said ice out and be good, honoring Renee Good and calling attention to ICE enforcement nationwide.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Ruffalo. He was asked directly why he chose to wear the pin. Let's listen to what he had to say. For Renee Nicole Good, who is murdered. Listen, I want to pretend like this. I want to be here to celebrate, and I am here to celebrate, and I'm proud to have a Golden Globe nomination. But also, this is not normal anymore.
Starting point is 00:11:23 And so I don't know how I can be quiet. We have a vice president who's lying about what's happening. We're in the middle of a war with Venezuela that we illegally invaded. He's telling the world that international law doesn't matter to him. The only thing that matters to him is his own morality. but the guy is a convicted felon or convicted rapist. He's a pedophile. He's the worst human being.
Starting point is 00:11:47 If we're relying on this guy's morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we're all in a lot of trouble. This is for her. This is for the people in the United States who are terrorized and scared today. I know I'm one of them. I love this country.
Starting point is 00:12:02 And what I'm seeing here happening is not America. Yeah. No, it is America. It's always been America. No, it is America. Yeah. And not everyone agreed with him on the red carpet, Bill Maher. He was also there.
Starting point is 00:12:18 He was asked about the pens and the message that they sent. And very quickly, this is what he had to say. Come on. We're just here for show business today. You know, it was a terrible thing that happened and it shouldn't have happened. And if they didn't act like such thugs, it wouldn't have had to happen. But I don't need to wear a pin about it. See, when he says they shouldn't have acted like.
Starting point is 00:12:41 such thugs, who is he talking about? Because the ICE agent was the one acting like a thug. Did he talk about Renee Good or the ice agent? It seems that he is talking about Renee Good. I don't want to put words in his mouth, but when he said we don't need pins, it just
Starting point is 00:12:57 seemed like that's who he was referring to. So just very, very different opinions out there on the red carpet. And just really quickly, too, the Trump administration, they have stopped about $129 million in federal SNAP benefits going into Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:13:14 And so they want the state to prove that there's no fraud. So it just seemed like Minnesota is in the crosshairs right now. The Trump administration and state and local leaders, they say there's no evidence to justify that freeze and they plan to take them to court. It's got to be oil in Minnesota. It has to be oil in Minnesota. I don't understand why is Minnesota ground zero for all of these things. My goodness.
Starting point is 00:13:33 All right. We'll continue to watch that. All right. Well, coming up at seven, millions of users, they receive an unexpected password reset on a popular social media app. We'll tell you which one. what it can mean for your personal information and why it's raising red flags at 7. All right.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Everybody else, get it off your chest. 800-585-105-1. If you need to vent, phone lines wide open. Again, 800-585105-1 is the breakfast club. Good morning. Ray, Ray, Ray, Ray. Yo, Charlemagne. Evie, what up?
Starting point is 00:13:59 Are we live? This is your time to get it off your chest. I got an indoor pool. I want to hear from you on the breakfast club. We can get on the phone right now. We'll tell you what it is. We lie? Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 00:14:11 Hey, this is Stacey. How are y'all? Good morning, Stacey. Happy New Year. Happy New Year. Happy New Year to y'all, too. I'm just calling, because I haven't called in a while, I had to make sure my employee line still work.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Oh. We ever heard from you in a minute. How's everything? Yeah. Everything is cool. I just been chilling, baking, you know, doing what I do. Amazing. DJ Envy.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Yes, sir. I heard the other day that you are going to be in Texas for the, I'm Carlsham. So you already know... Everything's bigger in Texas. Yo, Charlemagne, we are twins. Because when he said that, I said, ooh, I know the boys out there are fun. I don't know about the boys out there being fine.
Starting point is 00:14:56 That's not where I was going on. That's not what I was even talking about. I don't know. What the hell? That's a slogan for Texas. Everything is big and Texas now. I don't know. We're bringing the cars of Texas.
Starting point is 00:15:10 and back to the 757. And we got a couple other places to announce to, yeah, but we will definitely let you know, Stacy, because you can go check out if the boys are fine. Well, I just want to make sure that I'm invited so I can start free planning. Stuff like that. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:15:27 We'll get you the day soon. Okay, got it. Oh, wait, just hilarious. I meant to tell you, I was at the Brandi and Monica Carstarch too. Yes. I got a video of you and Laura LaRosa, and I ain't even know it. Oh, really? He was in the same place.
Starting point is 00:15:40 Yes. Hey, what was we doing? We was dancing and looking good singing. Fighting to the boy is mine. All I know was that you had a red cup in your hand. I'm like, yo, that's just. Damn. First of all, no.
Starting point is 00:15:50 I didn't get, shut up, Stacey. You did have a red cup in here. You did have a red cup. I looked at the video like three times. Okay, got it. All right, well, y'all have a happy new year. You too, Stacey. Thank you, you too.
Starting point is 00:16:05 I think we could stop saying happy new year. I was going to say, when do you stop saying happy New Year? Friday was the 12. Yeah, that's it. No, so no. Get it off your chest. 800, 585-105-105. If you need to vent, hit us up now.
Starting point is 00:16:16 It's the breakfast club. Good morning. This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're mad or blessed. I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk. I hate the way that you dress. Everything with me is blessed. Call up next.
Starting point is 00:16:29 800-585-105-1. Not just me. I'm with the coach of feeling. Hello. Hello. Hey, what's your name, bro? Hello. Oh, it's a Wilfon, Jersey.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Well from Jersey. Just briefly, I just want to highlight the fact that it's like we're going through now. I don't know if you guys or know what a rush access is when, you know, the doctor gives you a picture or something and you give you your interpretation of it. And then it is what you see. But now in real life, it's like certain things that used to be cut and dry. You see a square. It's a square. See a circle to circle.
Starting point is 00:17:02 There's no argument about that. But we're in the point at the country now that we can look at the same exact thing and something. is cut and drive, murder, and justify it or look at it totally different. You have people that can look at what happened in Minnesota. To most people, it was like, okay, that was wrong. But then there's other people that could look at that same exact situation and justify it. And then some of those same people will look at what happened on January 6th, where most people will look at it's like, nope, that was wrong what those people did.
Starting point is 00:17:32 There's other people that would justify it. And so if we're at a point in this country where we can't look at things, that are basically absolute and not have the same opinion on this is right and this is wrong and we all see that with the same vision we're in trouble. If we can't start at a baseline
Starting point is 00:17:51 of what decency is and what right and wrong is and everything else is totally off the table. You're right. They treat and murder the way men treat getting caught cheating. You know what I'm saying? But you should be able to
Starting point is 00:18:04 there's things that you can justify your opinion but a fact that, like, you know, Eddie Murphy had that joke, you're going to believe me or your lying eyes. Christy Nome can say whatever she wants to say. We know what we saw. And it was wrong. And, Envy, you pointed out the fact that the wheels was turning.
Starting point is 00:18:23 But on one of the other pictures, not in addition to the wheels was turning, you could see her on taking that hands and turning the steering wheel away. So the wheels were turned, but you can see her active. So that shows him tick. He was turning using her arms double steering or whatever to pull the steering well away. So that's all I want to say. If we can't see right and right and wrong as wrong, we'll are. And that's what it should be about.
Starting point is 00:18:49 You are so accurate. That's exactly what it should be about, right? Right is right. And wrong is wrong. You know what I mean? Like if we're saying you got these people out here that got a job to do with you, the ICE agents, okay, do their job? Do I want people impeding them doing their job?
Starting point is 00:19:02 No. But I don't want them killing folks either. Hello, who's this? Happy New Year! What's up, Envy? What's up, Trap? All right. Jazz, hilarious.
Starting point is 00:19:13 Hey, boom. Salomey. Peace, sis. What's happening? Hey, man. First, I was going to say, God is good all the time and all the time. God is good. All the time, baby.
Starting point is 00:19:22 Mm-hmm. Hey, envy, I'm so happy to see Peyton. Is that back up and moving? Oh, man. Yeah, she's doing, she's back to 100%, man. She's doing so well, man. I mean, those doctors and nurses and God put, put their hands on my baby and oh man she's back to normal brother
Starting point is 00:19:36 yeah to her husband yeah I'm definitely glad to see that your baby's back and yeah but back back back to help back to good health and everything man thank you uh Solomon what Traff
Starting point is 00:19:50 I was having a great new year No I was having a good new year I was having a good new year I was having a good new year I was with nobody this year Oh good What did what What he's what? And then here comes Solomon What do he do
Starting point is 00:20:02 When there's an awful about Jake old I was not running my mouth about Jay Cole The fall off is supposed to be coming soon And all I said was I'm interested to hear what Jay Cole is going to be rapping about Because it's clearly not about being the number one rapper no more So I was going to say that Jay Cole is still the number one rapper To you
Starting point is 00:20:22 Can't nobody rap better than Jay Cole And watch the mouth, Solomon And by the way, we don't know if anybody can rap better than Jay Cole Because when he had the opportunity to prove that In a rap battle, he bowed up Oh, my God. No one. Nobody's going to do that this year with you,
Starting point is 00:20:36 Solomon. I think he's going to do that all the time. He hasn't stopped. I don't know why. I mean, you can't rewrite history. Bye. Bye. That's the gayest trap has ever sounded.
Starting point is 00:20:46 And I've known tripped for 15 years. It's never sounded that gay. Bye. Ever. Like, never ever. Bye. Get it off your chest. 800585 101.
Starting point is 00:20:56 We got the latest for Lauren coming up. We do. Good morning. The Golden Globes. And Tiana Taylor, who stole the night. She took the first Golden Globe home of the night. night, her first Golden Globe, so we have a lot to celebrate this morning and a lot to talk about.
Starting point is 00:21:07 All right. We'll get to that next. It's the breakfast club. Bermont. Yeah. Let your talk, L.L. Cube. Yeah. I'm not dumbing myself down. I'm being myself. That source is my daughter. I'm the home guy that knows a little bit about everything and everything. One. Little brown girls
Starting point is 00:21:23 look at you and go, I want to be like you. Take me through that. Make me through that. The latest with Lauren Oloose. On that breakfast club. L.L. Cubber. Talk to me. Good morning, guys. Good morning. All right, so last night, the Golden Globes
Starting point is 00:21:39 went down at the Beverly Hill and Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. And listen, Tiana Taylor. Towardown. What? First of all, I mean, the red carpet was amazing. Everybody looked good. Of course, Tiana Taylor looked amazing on the carpet.
Starting point is 00:21:50 But she took home the very first Golden Globe of the evening, which is her first golden globe. She won for Best Supporting Actress for her role in one battle after another and gave one of the most emotional speeches of the night. Let's take a listen to Tiana Taylor. Oh my god. Starting point is 00:25:30 and start listening on the free IHeart Radio app today. Speech, because I didn't think I like, my babies are upstairs watching. Y'all better be off them damn phones and watching me right now. First, Father God, in the name of Jesus, I thank you, and I praise you for every part of this faith walk. Every lesson, every test, and every lesson.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Thank you to the Golden Globe voters for seeing me and reminding me that purpose always find this moment. To my tribe. Oh, my God, my grounding force, my joy, my daily reminder that love. It's an action. The crew, every single person who has touched this project, none of this is taken lightly and none of this is taken for granted.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Oh my God, this is heavy and lads. But most importantly, to my brown sisters and little brown girls watching tonight, our softness is not a liability. Our death is not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter and our dreams deserve space. Thank you so much, everybody.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Dropping the clues box for TT She deserves it all, man. Well deserved. Tiana is proof that delay is never denial because everyone is always like, oh, Tiana's a star, when is it going to happen for her musically? Man, you haven't been paying attention to what she's been doing in all facets
Starting point is 00:26:45 of entertainment. And the illest thing about Tiana Taylor is she is truly just getting started. Yes, and doing it on her own time in her own way. That's right. Like you said, the dope thing is all about it. It's acting, it's choreography, it's music. It's fashion.
Starting point is 00:27:00 Directing. Directing. Like she's incredible in front of the camera and behind the camera. Like Deanna Taylor is just scratching the surface. I was so happy for her. I think the best thing, too, is last night when she won, I feel like a lot of the conversation, even just amongst the people I was watching, it was like, we feel like we watched so much of her journey.
Starting point is 00:27:16 So you feel the win. So much of her. We've been watching the Tiana since she was 16. I know. Literally, right. Yes. Like, literally. Like, so it feels, I don't know, it just feels better, or not better, but it feels good.
Starting point is 00:27:27 It feels like you've been able to. see it from the girl. It is hilarious how people went from the Golden Gloves got it right. Yeah, T, T, T, T, and then when Senas didn't win nothing, these shows are trash. They never get that. Okay, so look, so here's the thing, because one battle after another took home a lot of the major awards yesterday. One battle after another? Yes.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Did y'all see that? I didn't watch it. I didn't watch it. I watched it over the weekend. Yeah, not only did I see it. I hosted a screening for it with a whole cast camp. Oh, yeah, we remember that. It's not better than Cinnis.
Starting point is 00:27:54 No, it's not. It's not. But it's a really really good movie to me. Yeah, so last night, Cinners did win. So they won Best Original Score, and then they also won Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. We'll get to Ryan Cougler and his wife's speech after they won. But speaking to the snub conversation, people feel like Cinners should have won Best Screenplay, which was won by one battle after another,
Starting point is 00:28:15 and that Ryan Cougler should have won Best Director for Motion Picture, which he lost to Paul Thomas Anderson, who did one better after another. And that Michael B. Jordan should have won Best Actor in a Limited Series. Miles Canton was also up for something as well, too. So people felt like, you know, they did win some awards last night, but there was a conversation about should there have been more that they took home? When Deborah and Lyndon nominated for anything?
Starting point is 00:28:36 I believe, let me double check that. And while I double check that, let's take a listen to Ryan Coogler and his wife gave their thank you for the best cinematic achievement, which is basically them getting an award for actually bringing people back to the movie theater. Thank you to our cast, our crew, agents and reps. We created
Starting point is 00:28:52 a very special community and family making this film, grinding every day. While many of us were away from our own families at home. Thank you for pouring into this story. You are all a master's at your craft at the most elite level, and it was an honor to share this space with you, and this all belongs to each of you as well. I just want to thank the audience for showing up. This movie was made about hundreds of people. We don't always, we work in the film business, wear tuxedos, and glammed out. It's usually a grind. You know what I mean? We're wearing, like, performance fishing gear,
Starting point is 00:29:24 and we in the swamps and it was an honor on this movie to know that it was getting a theatrical release. We didn't know that that would show up, so you're going to say thank you that they did. It meant the world to it. Couldn't deny him that one. Original IP that made damn it $400 million in the box off.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Yeah, Nikki Glazier and her opening monologue talked about or joked about how sinners brought Warner Brothers back and brought people back to the theater for at least like a month. But to answer your question, Del Rilendo, no, he's on the snub list. People, they talk about how a lot of fans thought that he would be a likely candidate
Starting point is 00:29:53 for, you know, some awards, and the awards buzz after the movie came out and it did not happen as well. But yeah, I mean, it was a long night full of awards. They also gave out the first ever podcast awarder in that category. And Snoop Dogg presented that, and he said he was high as hell.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Let's take a listen. Stop the music. Need y'all to loosen up a little bit. This is the double G's. The double Gs is the Golden Globes and you're with the DO double G. So make sure you enjoy yourself. Don't be no stiff bit.
Starting point is 00:30:24 Move around a little. bit. Best podcast is a very important category for me, because before a podcast, I was what you all listened to, driving around in your cars. To you podcasters,
Starting point is 00:30:38 y'all better hope I don't get in that game. Actually, I'm in that game. It represents podcasts. It's popping right about now. Believe me, what I tell you. Yeah, so that's, it's toward... He didn't say it was hard. He does say it's toward the end of this speech, but we don't have it in the
Starting point is 00:30:54 audio, but he does say he's like actually about to announce some of the names and he pauses and he's like I'm high, y'all had me here for too long. Hey, Lauren. I just want you to know Snoop Dog being high is not news. I know, but he's on the stage. It is news. The best podcast category was Hollywood rewarding Hollywood because there's no way that Amy Pola Goodhang was supposed to beat Mel Robbins.
Starting point is 00:31:14 So that was a big thing too. Come on, come on, come on. Yeah, smart list in that category. Dax Shepard, Daddy. Like Amy Polar Podcast hasn't been around a year yet. That was Hollywood rewarding Hollywood. It was created in March. That was, yeah, a lot of people were having that conversation last night, like, okay.
Starting point is 00:31:30 So, yeah. And no black podcast in the category, but that's a whole other conversation. Yeah, well, shout out to the people who did take home the wins and, you know. Hell yeah. Yeah, Tiana Teller and everybody else. But we'll be back next hour and in the next hour.
Starting point is 00:31:44 Well, I do want to say, though, I like, you know, I understand all the snub conversations, but I realized a long time ago, if I haven't seen every movie and, in the category, I have to shut the hell up. Yeah. I've been saying something got snubbed, but I didn't see the other films.
Starting point is 00:31:59 With the whole one batter after another versus sinners, I was like, dang, I was shot watch. I didn't see those too. I didn't see those too. Yeah, like I said, how does somebody say, well, you've been snubbed if you haven't seen all the movies, if you haven't seen all the actors acting.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Now, how do you say, of course you're going to say you like them. In my personal opinion, sinners was better, right? Yeah. But one battle after another was. It was still cool. Yeah. It was cool.
Starting point is 00:32:20 It was cool. What about we can. Did the Wicked win anything? I saw Arianna. I didn't see it, but I just saw it. I know that they got caught out in the monologue for being a film that's just here to make money. Remember last week when you thought I was playing
Starting point is 00:32:32 and you asked me what's a good TV show to watch and I said the studio? Yeah. The studio won a bunch of stuff as well too. Studio is hilarious. He definitely did tell me to watch that. Yeah, so now I really got to watch it. Cool.
Starting point is 00:32:42 But now Wicked didn't? All right. That would be surprising. Oh, that is the latest with Laura. I can't answer that. I can't answer that. Okay. When we come back, can we play some Tiana Taylor too?
Starting point is 00:32:50 We should. All right. Let's do that. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Front page news is next. Morning, everybody. It's DJ NV.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Just hilarious. Shalameen the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get back in some front page news. Now, quickly, in sports, NFL was great over the weekend, man. A lot of great games. The Eagles lost to the 49thus 2319. The Bears beat the Packers, 31, 27.
Starting point is 00:33:10 The Rams beat the Panthers, 34, 31. The Bills beat the Jaguars, 27, 24. The Patriots beat the Chargers. 16 to 3. And tonight, and Monday night football! The Texas take on the Steelers. at 8.15. I really don't like the emotional hold that football has on me
Starting point is 00:33:25 because I'm a Dallas Cowboy fan. So this time of year I'm used to not watching our teams play. But there's no reason I should be watching other teams and my cortisol levels are spiking. Because all of those games except for the Patriots Chargers game were settled in like the last two minutes. Yeah, they was all great games. All great games. Like you didn't know who the winner was until like the last two minutes.
Starting point is 00:33:41 When the last time you felt like that about your team? Every game. Because we be, that's a story of our life. It's never in the playoffs. No, I'm saying. Is it ever close with the Cowboys or are they? Oh, yeah. They just go that far. They don't go to that. All the time.
Starting point is 00:33:55 Got you. Well, what's up, Mimi? Good morning, NVee. Josh Al-Lumaine. How y'all doing? Hey, girl. Hey. Hey, good morning.
Starting point is 00:34:02 So we start this hour with a move that could directly hit your wallet. President Trump is floating a temporary cap on credit card interest rates. So the president is calling for a 10% cap on credit card interest rates for one year, starting next week, January 20th. Now, right now, most credit cards, they charge about 20%. interest rate, meaning this could directly cut costs in half. Trump says the goal is to stop consumers from being overcharged after years of rising rates. This proposal, it is getting rare bipartisan support on Capitol Hill. Lawmakers on both sides, they have backed similar ideas arguing that credit card companies
Starting point is 00:34:40 can afford to charge less while Americans are drowning in debt. And those debt numbers, they are really big. Americans now cup. They now carry more than $1.2 trillion. in credit card debt. That's the highest level ever recorded. The average household, they owe more, they owe about $10,000 in credit card debt. Consumer watchdogs, they say interest rates, they have risen faster than the actual cost of lending money. So it's still unclear, though, whether the White House will they try to enforce this through an executive action or if it's simply
Starting point is 00:35:13 pressuring the credit card companies to lower interest rates on their own? The administration hasn't exactly laid out how this would work. But bank, and credit card issuers, they are pushing back. They say that a 10% cap would lead to lenders stop issuing credit cards to millions of higher risk consumers. And some financial lenders, they argue that that would push struggling consumers toward even more expensive options like payday loans or pawn shops. In recent days, the Trump administration, they've also taken steps aimed at lowering mortgage rates and publicly pressured the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates faster. He's also expected to name a Fed chair in the coming week. So what do you guys think about
Starting point is 00:35:52 that, lowering your interest rates on credit cards, so about 10% to help the American people and give them some relief. And speaking of the Federal Reserve, the man who runs it is now under investigation. So the Federal Reserve, we were just talking about that. They set the interest rates that affect everything from credit cards to mortgages, to car loans. And now the Fed chair says he is being targeted. So Jerome Powell says he is the subject of a federal criminal investigation tied to a $2.5 billion renovation of the Fed's headquarters and his testimony to Congress about that project. Now, Powell says the investigation isn't really about the building. It's about interest rates. And he argues that this fallout from the Fed refusing
Starting point is 00:36:36 to cut interest rates as quickly or as deeply as President Trump demanded. So in plain terms, Powell is saying that the central bank, they are being targeted for not doing what the White House wants. While he addressed all of this in a video release last night, let's listen to what he had to say. This new threat is not about my testimony last June or about the renovation of the Federal Reserve buildings. It is not about Congress's oversight role. The Fed, through testimony and other public disclosures, made every effort to keep Congress informed
Starting point is 00:37:06 about the renovation project. Those are pretexts. The threat of criminal charges is a consequence of the Federal Reserve setting interest rates based on our best assessment of what will serve the public, rather than following the preferences of the president. This is about whether the Fed will be able to continue to set interest rates based on evidence and economic conditions, or whether instead monetary policy will be directed by political pressure or intimidation.
Starting point is 00:37:32 That was Jerome Powell? Yeah. Wow. Yeah, that was Jerome Powell. So the Fed is supposed to be an independent organization outside of any political organization, right? So Jerome Powell, he has served on the Federal Reserve under four administrations, both Democrats and Republicans alike. This investigation, though, is being handled by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, led by a Trump appointee. And this comes after months of public criticism from the president, who has repeatedly said that interest rates are too high and that he would like Powell to be removed.
Starting point is 00:38:03 And that brings us to our second and closely related case involving the Federal Reserve. So next week on January 21st, the Supreme Court, they will hear arguments. in President Trump's attempt to remove Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. This is the first time a president has ever tried to fire a sitting Fed official. Now, Trump, he is accused Cook of mortgage fraud claiming that before joining the Fed, she made false statements on her mortgage applications. And she strongly denies those claims and say that they are also being used as a pretext to remove her.
Starting point is 00:38:34 A federal judge has already ruled that those allegations likely do not meet legal standards required to fire a Fed governor. Now, under the Federal Reserve Act, governors can only be removed for cause, meaning something more serious and that the standard has never been tested in court. Am I the only person who feels like all this chaos is to silence all the noise surrounding the Epstein files?
Starting point is 00:38:55 Like, just a couple weeks ago, the noise around the Fstein files was so loud. Yeah, yeah. And now we've been hit with, you know, Venezuela and Greenland and, you know, Minnesota, right? Credit card rate cap, Jerome Powell, on the investigation. And I feel like all of this is the, It's scrapped from the Fstein files, Trump's health, and Trump's economy being trash.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Yeah. There's a lot of, you know, make you hurry up and forget, you know, what's really happening inside of Washington as well. You're absolutely right about that. And quick question this morning. Did any of you get an email asking if you should reset your Instagram password this weekend? No. I don't think I did. No.
Starting point is 00:39:33 I used to get them a lot, though, every once in a while. Like, once every couple of months, I would get one of those. I just ignore it. Wow, what is going on me mean? What happened? Yeah, well, I'm glad you asked, Jess, because millions of Instagram users say they received sudden password reset emails over the past few days. So meta, which is Instagram's parent company, says there has been no data breach, but that users are saying that there has been a data breach. And cybersecurity experts say that there is.
Starting point is 00:39:59 And a hacker, they are also saying that there is, right? So a hacker is taking responsibility for accessing data tied to as many as 17 million Instagram accounts, claiming personal. information was exposed. So that includes usernames, phone numbers, email address, and in some cases, physical addresses. Now, a cybersecurity firm that tracks activity on the dark web says that data appears to come from an Instagram system exposure dating back to 2024. That data has surfaced online and it's being shared, which could explain the sudden wave of those password, reset emails. A lot of people said that they received them over the weekend. But Meta says that there is no data breach and your accounts are secure. And that kind of
Starting point is 00:40:40 But that kind of leaked information, it could be used for fishing scams. So the advice for security experts is simple. They said, if you get one of those emails, do not click the link. Instead, go directly to the Instagram app, change your password there, and turn on that two-factor. Often the authentication notification. So that way, it adds an extra layer of protection. So even if someone has your password, they cannot get in. You can also check from there what devices are logged into your account and remove anything
Starting point is 00:41:09 that you don't recognize. So that was big news over the weekend because a lot of people said that their Instagram accounts were hacked into when they were receiving those notifications to reset their passwords. Wow. All right. Yeah. Thank you, Mimi.
Starting point is 00:41:23 Mimi say hacker with the hard R. Mm-hmm. Heart R. Hacker. Hacker. All right, y'all. Well, that is your front page news. I'm Mimi Brown.
Starting point is 00:41:33 Follow me at Mimi Brown TV. For more stories, follow the Black Information Network. Download the free IHeart Radio app or business. at B-I-N-News.com. Thank you, Mimi. Thank you. Thank you. All right. Now, when we come back, FettyWap, we'll be joining us. We actually did this interview on Friday, less than, what, 48 hours
Starting point is 00:41:50 since he was released from prison, so we're going to talk to FettyWap. If you haven't heard it, we're going to get it on next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody is DJ NV, Jess Salarious. Sholameen Noggi-A-Wap. We are the Breakfast Club. Longer-Ros is here with us as well. We got a special guest in the building. Yes, indeed. Welcome home, ladies and ladies and gentlemen. It's Fettie Wob. Welcome.
Starting point is 00:42:07 Yeah, man. What's up? How you feeling, brother? I feel good, man. You ain't missed no push-ups, been eating your protein. He was taking full advantage of that time, huh? A couple chicken packs and tunas and all lines. Do what I'm saying? How are you, first of all, brother? I'm blessed, man. If I can sum it up, I'm just blessed, man. Feel good to be back, you know, sleep in my own bed, you know, eat some real food, see the family. I mean, get all I love, and see everybody just happy to see me like I'm happy to see them, so it feel good. I'm definitely blessed for that. Do you feel like you need to get right back to it? Or, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:42:39 Do you want to just adjust and be human first before you got to get in the artist FettyWat mode? Are we allowed to do that? No. Yes, you are? You are allowed to, but not, like you would have to make that decision for yourself. Yeah, I mean, for me, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:55 I'll just, you know, making music is just what I love to do. So I wouldn't say, I wouldn't say it's like getting right back to it. It's just like something that I miss for the last four years of my life, you know what I'm saying? Definitely being in that studio, letting that be my outlet, you know what I'm saying, for whatever I'm going through at the time. So if that's getting back to it, then yeah, yeah, definitely got to get right back to it. Have you gotten in the studio yet?
Starting point is 00:43:13 Yeah. Oh, you're back in there already? Already working. Oh, you do the first day out record? No, no, I didn't do a first day out record. Okay, okay, okay. Except for a longer project or something? No, just, you know, just like, you know, how you said, like, you know, when a box ain't been in the rain for a while, I just got a, I mean?
Starting point is 00:43:28 You got a mid-up real quick, so if you still got it, you know what I'm saying? Like that, so that's all just, just filling it back out. Most people want to know what happened, right? And the reason they want to know is you had numerous platforms, multiple, platinum hits. Numerous records that went through the charts. Fetty had a run. And not just urban charge.
Starting point is 00:43:44 You crossed over. Mainstreamed. I mean, you were doing bar mitz first. What's the Spanish one? Kinseed is. I'm not like, you don't know. I'm not Spanish. I'm not Spanish.
Starting point is 00:43:53 You know what I mean? Kinseed. You did everything. And then you went a different route. What happened? Like, what was the disconnect for Fetti? Was it label? Was it?
Starting point is 00:44:04 I mean, well, you know, certain things that I still, you know, I can't really talk about. like that, you know what I mean, just for certain legal reasons. I guess to sum it up, you know what I'm saying? As far as the music side, like as far as the music side, I just kind of was going through something with certain parts of a different label. You know what I mean? I don't want to say those names because I'm not into bashing nobody.
Starting point is 00:44:26 That's not what I do, you know what I'm saying? But certain things just wasn't lining up. So I just did what I know how to do, you know what I mean, when certain things was happening. Now, when you got lots of, did it make you love music? more because I feel like at one time you didn't love music the same like you did when you first came out.
Starting point is 00:44:42 Did it make you love music again? Being locked up did a few things for me. As far as music, yeah, of course. You know what it is? Honestly, not being able to record music was the biggest thing. Because, you know, as an artist,
Starting point is 00:45:00 you're gonna, you hear a little, you do a little beat on a table and you could just start the writing, you know, you get the writing stuff in your head or you hear melodies in your head, but that feeling when you just, you just, I'm going to go to the studio like, oh, now, I ain't about to go nowhere right now. You know what I'm saying? So it made me miss being able to, you know, just get up and go when I want to go do music.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Definitely humble you a lot, you know what I'm saying, stuff like that, but yeah. What did prison teach you about yourself that success never could? What did prison teach me about myself? That success never could. Yeah, I mean, honestly, well, in that case, not really too much. I'm really too much It just made me It just made me understand certain things in life
Starting point is 00:45:42 You know what I'm saying It made me understand like The value of freedom You know what I'm saying I don't think a lot of people understand How blessed they are to just wake up And do whatever they want to do Well let's slow you down from
Starting point is 00:45:56 And I've seen interviews where you Like I go to store, be 20 of us Everybody gets an Avericks Everybody gets a pair of jeans And then everybody gets a shirt All you Well that stuff you from doing that? Were those same, those 20 people still there when you were locked up or you
Starting point is 00:46:10 realized damn, they ain't there from me like that. Yeah, no. Yeah. That, uh, yeah, that is, uh, yeah, that are definitely, the crazy thing is, if they were there, it probably be the same mentality. No, no exaggeration, you know what I'm saying? If they were there, it'd be the same mentality. I'll probably be, you know, let's get it. Let's get it. Like, we back on, you know what I'm saying? But, you know, when you be on that wall, man, everybody show you who they are. You know what I'm saying? You want their time now. you know what I'm saying and you gotta just take it
Starting point is 00:46:38 how you want you know what I'm saying you want their time so if they don't feel like doing it it's done and if they don't do it well he ain't come home no time soon was the industry there for you
Starting point is 00:46:48 when you were locked up artists artists, label, people family family included family uh yeah my family was there industry
Starting point is 00:46:57 not too much not too much no man let me see oh coil away coil array Coloree. Coloree.
Starting point is 00:47:05 50 cent. Chief Keith. How, though? In what way? When you say they were there for you, like, what was it? Each of them. Like, what did Corey do? Well, Coeur?
Starting point is 00:47:15 She actually helped me out with a record. I had put out an album called King Zoo. Right. And she actually, she featured on the record. She did a whole TikTok thing for me. And she just did it off the love. It was like, all right, Fetti, I got you. Don't worry you.
Starting point is 00:47:31 Like, you know what I'm saying? And she, you know, she pushed that as if it was her own record. So, like, things like that, I could, I never, like, I won't even, I don't even know how to thank her for that, you know what I'm saying? Because she didn't have to do that. She was already, she already, she's doing her thing, you know what I'm saying? You know, and she's from Jersey. So that was even more, like, like, damn, like, they have, like this theory with people
Starting point is 00:47:51 from Jersey where we like to pull each other down. So for her to help lift me up in my time with darkness, it was like, thank you a lot. You know what I'm saying? I'll be out, too. You know what I'm saying? I'll be out, man. You said 50. What did 50 do?
Starting point is 00:48:04 So I don't even know where to start with him. 50 did a lot for me. You know what I'm saying? He, uh, from day one, it was like he reached out like, yo, whatever you need, just holl at me, you know what I'm saying? And I'm like, all, all, all, all, all, all. And then it was like, where is money going? I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:48:24 You know what I'm saying? I ain't used to that. I'm used to, it's always the other way around, you know what I'm saying? Send me the money here, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so it was just like, it was, it was, it was, it was, it was, it was, it was, nothing like he whatever I needed he was right there like he answered the phone he he he didn't shy off you know what I'm saying all way down to the to the time I'm about to come home he's yo how you getting home and stuff like that you know what I'm saying so if anything like as far as

I know 50 was like helping you diversify like income and different things. things like that as well too.
Starting point is 00:52:28 What were their conversations like about when FettyWop comes home, 50 cents giving you what advice of like, here's what you should be doing business-wide because the industry has changed so much. Hey, yo, hey, yo, stop fucking up. You know what I'm saying? You should have never stopped making music.
Starting point is 00:52:45 Like, you should have kept going hard. Like, you know what I'm saying? That's 50. 50 going, 50 going on. He's going to say what he wants to say. Like, you know what I'm saying? He ain't got no filter. So it was good.
Starting point is 00:52:56 It was everything he's, told me, you're just like, you know what I'm saying? Just get back to it. Like, don't, don't waste no time this time. You only got this, this, this, this my last chance. You know what I'm saying? Whatever that sounds to people. But, you know, if you're in this industry, you know what that means.
Starting point is 00:53:10 You know what I'm saying? So you got to, you got to make it count. I remember the interview you did with, I think it was academics before you had went in. Yeah. And you was talking about, you know, going broke. What did, what did going broke after making multi-millioners of dollars teach you? See, that's crazy because, you know, that was like, click bait. You know, if you, if you actually rewatch the interview, I never said that I was,
Starting point is 00:53:33 I was going broke. I just said it was slowing down. You know what I'm saying? It's a big difference. I said you got all your money a bit. Yeah, it was a big difference. No, I was just basically like saying, I was, I was telling him how I felt the transition from being 2015, 2016, Fettywap to being 2017, 2018 Fettywap. You know what I'm saying? So it's just like, I guess the way they broke it up and like put it together it was like damn like but i get it though you know i'm saying like it is what it is but you blame yourself for that at all what that uh that transition the transition from 16 to 17 yeah wow for the most part man i just you know what i mean i was young man i was real young i was young hot-headed and and and you know what i'm saying i was just
Starting point is 00:54:18 pro to gods man like you know what i'm saying like if it ain't me and my if it ain't me and my if it ain't me and nothing you know i mean straight like that you know what I'm saying and you know what I'm saying and you know I didn't show up to a few things. We didn't talk about that. We ain't going to talk about that. But, no, truthfully, though, man, truthfully, man. I just, you know, I had to grow up, man. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:54:38 Like, I was still, I was young with all that money, man. Like, just having fun making sure everybody eat and making sure everybody, you know what saying? Like, everybody's shining like, how I'm shining, you know what I'm saying? They told me a story the other day, actually, they said you pull up to a sneaker store in Patterson, right? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:54 You pull up there. and you buy 50 pairs of sneakers. Yeah. And it'd be like, you'd have 10 cars, 10 of your cars outside. Yeah. Somebody driving a different car. You would all get in and just drive to Atlantic City and gamble and go on the party all night. And nobody else paid for everything.
Starting point is 00:55:10 And they was like, Fetty would pay for everything. They said they did this damn there every weekend. And there'd be a time where, like, you didn't like to fly? Because they were like, then you would drive to Atlanta. I'm scared as hell of flying. Even though? Yeah. Damn.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Oh, just shudged me. The last time I was on the plane before I came home, I was shackled, ankles and wrists. And I don't like that shit. Yeah. That's another thing. Like, I kept telling myself, I said, look, my, first class, they let me out right now.
Starting point is 00:55:35 You can put me in 52 in the middle of sea. Hey, y'all good? We had anything, anything, you know what I'm saying? Get a little bag of peanuts and some, like. Nah, you too big now. You can't sit all the way back there. No, yeah. They made the plane small on the back.
Starting point is 00:55:48 They tried to make more money and more seats. Your shoulder's too big for that at this point. Yeah, man. So what was the hardest truth you had to? face while you were locked up? I lived in my truth, man. Like, I didn't, I don't know. I just, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:56:03 Like, where I come from, I'm from Patterson, man, you know what I'm from Patterson, New Jersey, man. Like, you know what I mean? You make your baby, you got laid in it. So it wasn't, when it happened, it was like, all right, whatever. Like, let's just get this shit over it. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:56:17 Like, it wasn't like, damn, I wish I could have did this or did that because I did it, I did it once. And that's what I chose to do. the consequences. I know what was going to come with it. So that was that. Do you think you understand the lesson God might have been teaching you? Yeah. You know it for sure. Yeah, for sure. You want to share it?
Starting point is 00:56:35 Take advantage of your blessings when I'm giving them to you. You know, you know, this time we're going to be going to show you what can happen. You keep playing around. You know what I'm saying? Next time might not be so lucky. Are you staying away from Patterson? No. You're out of Patterson. Or are you going back home?
Starting point is 00:56:53 Of course. Yeah, we don't have to I feel like that theory is, it's flawed. What you mean? When they say, oh, if you go back home, this can happen, that can happen. It only happens if you're a lot. If you're a weak man,
Starting point is 00:57:04 weak, it's going to happen to you. You know what I'm saying? When you stand on business, stand on business. You know what I mean? So I don't follow crowds. I lead them. You know what I wasn't, I wasn't, the Remy boys.
Starting point is 00:57:16 I'm fettie Wop. You know what I'm saying? Like, you know what I'm saying? No disrespect to my guys, but yeah, I'm not the follower. I'm the leader. Have you spoke to the guys? Yeah, I spoke to a few of them.
Starting point is 00:57:27 I spoke to the ones who spoke to me when I've been there. Did you have to forgive yourself for anything in order to come home free just mentally? I really, it's not more so me forgiving myself. I just hope in the future that my kids forgive me. Yeah, that's more so, like, you know, I'll take a lot of time from them. Four years, a long time. You see your kids go from here to here. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:57:54 And it's just like, I miss birthdays. I miss Christmas. I miss doctor's appointments. I miss a daddy day at school. Basketball games, dance is all right. Basketball games, football games. My son, first day of high school, stuff like that. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:58:09 More so I just hope they forgive me. Have you? Have you spoke to them? Yeah, like your older kids. Yeah, I spoke to the older ones. Yeah. Do they forgive you? Man, I think they're just happy right now.
Starting point is 00:58:18 They don't really understand yet. I thought they don't know how they even understand. Yeah, I don't think they really understand. but, you know, they, for a while we just tried to play this Daddy's away, and then, you know, after it was like, come on, they got phones. After about 30 days, like, all right now, man, we ain't stupid.
Starting point is 00:58:32 Yeah, you know, the phones and, you know, they're on social media. So, you know, wait, Daddy's, we're Daddy in jail? You know, like that, so. How do you separate who you were from who the world still thinks you are? I guess I'll just separate about the time, like, separated by Tom.
Starting point is 00:58:49 Time, time either is going to fix everything or it's just going to make it worse. You know what I'm saying? So for me, I feel like this time away fixed a lot of things from me, you know what I'm saying? Especially with me and my family, me and my sister, like, we always had each other back. You know, that's my gym twin, you know what I'm saying? She's June 6th, I'm June 7th. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:59:09 My baby sister too, you know what I'm saying? My older brother, commissary every week, you know what I'm saying? Even if I ain't even need it. I really didn't even need it. But, you know, any phone call, I might just be going. I just might be going through something I'm calling, you know what you think? What you think they're going to?
Starting point is 00:59:26 You think they're still going to rock me when I get home? You know what I'm saying? Like, you know how you say? If I leave the game, you're still going to love me. You know what I'm saying? Like, and then just learning myself, man. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like that detoxing, that detoxing and, you know,
Starting point is 00:59:42 getting your body together, especially working out. Working out kind of like got me together a lot too. You know, that discipline. Like being that, like, I don't feel like doing it, but still getting it done. Like, just watching, just learning from the old heads in there. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:59:57 I was down with a few homies that's, you know, that's not coming home no time soon. You know what I'm saying? Really, probably no time ever, depending on if they outlast the years. I mean, outlast the sentence. And, you know, I got a lot of wisdom from them, man. And they all, like, you know, the way you carry yourself, little bro, like, you know what I'm saying, where you carry yourself. I don't really lay everybody little bro me, but, you know, certain people that I respect, you know what I mean, I call them big bro. and they just, the way you carry yourself,
Starting point is 01:00:23 the way you move, I see the way you move through here, you ain't, you ain't fully yourself, you don't think you're the shit, you know what I'm saying? Like, when you get out there, man, like, like, do it for the gods, but we don't want to see you back in here, man.
Starting point is 01:00:35 Like, you got a lot of shit to look out to and then you know, a lot of people, hey, hey, hey, hey, guess what I'm in here with? You know what I'm with Freddy? Hey, oh, the shit, tell them to send me a picture. So, you know, I'm taking pictures for the guys. We send an autographs and shit like that. And, yeah, man, my daughter, man,
Starting point is 01:00:48 they, man, I'm like, man, I don't even know your daughter knew I was, you know what I said? They're younger now, you know what I mean? So it was just like, every time I start to feel like, I don't know if it's going to be, it is, hey, yo, man, somebody's in there. I'm like, where? Then, like, I remember in 2025, like, the top of
Starting point is 01:01:05 2025 that was doing, like, the again thing with the JBL speak, so. And it was like that, my sister, hey, trending. I'm like, how to, I do now? Like, you know what I do? Like, what I do? Like, I'm in trouble with some shit. But it's just like,
Starting point is 01:01:18 every time I started feeling down or feeling like like out of like like like it wasn't going to be nothing for me when I come home something always reminded me man like so like I said either time going to either fix it make it worse so for this for me time made everything better for me
Starting point is 01:01:32 at your peak everything was moving fast right but then when you in prison everything stops how did that shift your sense of purpose it was much needed uh it was much needed for sure definitely much needed and a lot of people say I'm crazy for that you know what I'm saying but you got one day you downtown selling CDs trying to
Starting point is 01:01:54 make a name for yourself and then you got another day you're on to you on you on stage with Taylor Swift you know what I'm saying and then it's like you do so much everything was a blur like you know what I'm saying like I was moving so fast half the times I don't even have pictures of everything I did I'm like hey send me pictures you ain't got nothing like you You know what I'm saying? So it's like, all right, let me see where I went wrong over here or what I did this. And you start to, you know, you just take mental notes, son. Like, you learn yourself, man.
Starting point is 01:02:23 Like, you learn yourself. Like I said, you either going to get better or you're going to get worse. You know what I'm saying? You're going to give up on yourself or you're going to go hard for yourself. You know what I'm saying? So for me, it just was like, I got to go harder, man. Like, I can't, this can't be it for me right here. Like, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:02:37 Like, ain't no way I'm about to just come home and just go get a job or some shit. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, I'm not going to target. Like, you know what I mean? Like, I got to do what I love to do, you know what I'm saying? If I got to man up and take responsibility for the shit that I did to make, to get me in this position, I'm going to do that, you know what I'm saying? And that's what I did?
Starting point is 01:02:54 So now what's your mind frame with doing music now? Is it, one time you went straight street, the other time it was crossover and party in music. So what's, what's Fettie's feeling now? I don't have a, I don't have a, like, a genre, man. Like, whatever I feel, I'll just do it. You know what I'm saying? Like, I don't really have, like, a,
Starting point is 01:03:12 I don't want to be in a box. Yeah, like, I don't want to be like that, that guy. You know what I'm saying? If it sound good, if it feel good, I'm going to do it. Like, it's all up to the people's reception of it, of course, you know what I'm saying? But I don't try to just stay, you know what I mean? Because what I feel like personally, I feel like when you, when you become a certain kind of artist, you have to follow a certain kind of movement, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:03:37 So if you're a gangster artist, you got to be a gangster all day. If you're a trap artist, you got to really trap about this. You know what I mean? You got to really know what you're talking about. If you're a pop artist, you know what I'm saying? You can't be, you can't be certain things you do. But with me it's like, you know, even when I'm in prison, a lot of people listen to the songs and they're like,
Starting point is 01:04:00 ain't no way it's the same dude that's singing these songs. Like, you know what I'm saying? Just by the way I carry myself, but then it's where I come from. You know what I'm saying? A lot of people misconcept the artist for the person. So they're thinking like, oh, he's singing and, you know what I'm saying? He probably this way. And they, yo, it was good.
Starting point is 01:04:17 What's popping? Where the guys are? Yeah. What? This funny, wow. You know what I'm saying? Like, so for me, I don't want to be in a box. I don't want to be.
Starting point is 01:04:26 I just want to be a great artist, man. Trying to follow these songs was damn near impossible. I'm stressing myself out trying to make another six, seven, nine, try to make another mile way, try to make another trap queen. It's like, this shit's going to happen, bro. It is what it is. You know what I'm saying? And the way they built, like, the way that the songs are hyped up, like, I can't.
Starting point is 01:04:48 It's like, you know what I mean? It's a lot of people don't get a trap queen record. So trying to follow that shit is like, damn they're impossible. You know what I'm saying? I'm not saying it is, but that's tough, man. Like, that feeling, like, the shit I was going through at that time. You know what I mean? I wasn't going through that no more.
Starting point is 01:05:05 You know, like, a lot of that plays a role. And, you know, like, a lot of things I'll be saying, Like, you know when you follow artists from the beginning, and once they pop, you're kind of like, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. You know what I'm saying? Like, I don't relate to that. And it was like, the same thing happened with me.
Starting point is 01:05:21 You know what I'm saying? It was just like, when we're doing trap queen, this is real shit. Like, well, like, you know what I'm saying? We, we outside. You know what I mean? I'm, we looking through the little, we look at through, we look at through,
Starting point is 01:05:33 we look at through sort of thing. You like that. I'd like that. If I could get this one, I would get it in this color. You know, we, we like that until. and then they went to which one of these you want. You know what I'm saying? We're going to take both of them.
Starting point is 01:05:43 You know what I'm saying? Like life changes. So life experience change. So music change. From the Fetty Whop album towards the butterfly effect, you know, I was going through a lot of personal things was happening. So with the, when the butterfly effect, it was more so me telling my story than trying to make a hit record.
Starting point is 01:06:02 Gotcha. Coming back to music, what do you focus on? Because people want the hit, but you've got a lot of life to talk about. at this point that you spend years i mean honestly i don't feel like that's important like like i did my time you know what i'm saying i did my time it's a lot of rappers that went to jail i mean i hate to say it like that they came home and you know what i'm saying if they wanted if they chose to talk about their jail shes done you know what i'm saying like me i did my time with the guys in there you know what i'm saying and they all bro leave the shit behind you you walk out leave it here you know what
Starting point is 01:06:38 saying we try to see you on TV everybody want to, listen I'm gonna tell you y'all something in jail there's three things that you don't turn the TV from sports, news, loving hip-hop like, that's just the three things in jail you don't turn it to you from so it might happen to you, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:06:56 But, you know, that's just, we want to see you on TV, bro, we're trying to hear you on the radio. I know, bro, like 20 days, I want to hear something new on the computer, you know what I'm saying? Like, that's the type of motivation I was having, So I don't, I don't, to come home and to talk about that, it's, it's pointless. I did my time in it. Is it possible though?
Starting point is 01:07:15 Like that? Because I'm wondering like, will you write and change now that you've lived such a real life consequence instead of success, I guess? I want to say it'll change, I guess. It's always going to change, especially when you're trying to be creative. But more so, I just feel like I got to, I appreciate music more. I appreciate. I appreciate life more. Like, just checking out
Starting point is 01:07:40 going to 7-Eleven for a bottle of water. You know what I'm saying? Like, I appreciate everything. Just to even just sit here without, you know what I mean? I visit over. You know what I'm saying? Like that. You know what I'm saying? For real.
Starting point is 01:07:55 So, you know what I mean? You're watching your people walk out the song. You're looking at that exit time. Like, damn, I can't wait till it's my turn. You feel what I'm saying? So it's like, I just appreciate everything, man. Like, I don't, I'm not. I'm never going to forget it.
Starting point is 01:08:08 You know what I'm saying? I ain't going to never forget it, but I'm not trying to make that my focal point. Like, you know what I'm saying? I don't want nobody to feel bad for me. I'm knowing we're going to have fun. When these shit come on, everybody want to grab a. Damn, I remember what I was doing at this time.
Starting point is 01:08:20 I'm trying to keep that. Yeah. I don't want that. Oh, he's talking now. I live this shit for real. Like, and if anybody that was locked up with me, they'd tell you, like, bro stood on business. Like, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:08:31 I wasn't in there playing around. You feel? So it was just like, I ain't. I'm chilling. And I know it's only been 48 hours, but, you know, what conversations with your kids have you had that just hit different?
Starting point is 01:08:42 My son's funny as half. My oldest son, he's funny as half. Yeah, he's, uh, yo, I'm your height now. Like, chill, baby boy, you know what I'm saying? If I had to do it,
Starting point is 01:08:54 you know what I'm saying? You know, but he's gonna, you know, he'll work out. Oh, the first day out, he took my chain.
Starting point is 01:09:01 Oh, all my, my nephew, my nephews too, right? Yeah, they took my chain. And my hats, it took everything.
Starting point is 01:09:09 They get clothes and all that. Yeah, they debowed me. Wired up. So, my oldest daughter, she, you know, she don't play no games neither. She, listen, Dad, I don't know what you're doing, but figure it out. I need to see you. You know what I'm saying? Wow.
Starting point is 01:09:26 So it's just, man, I'm just happy, man. Like, I'm just happy to, you know, see their face when that FaceTime came through. And you know, you see that reaction like, yeah, Daddy Home. Well, congratulations, man. I'm happy that you home and I'm happy to hear the clarity. Yeah, so than anything. You know? Thank you.
Starting point is 01:09:45 We appreciate you. I'm sure you'll be up here with some music soon. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. I got you, man. And don't rush, though. Get some cheeks first. You know, these cheeks, man. Some cheeks.
Starting point is 01:09:54 If he's not in your pocket, he's in your bedroom. Tell him to get out. It's a little. It's Fettie Wout. It's the Breakfast Club, go on. Get some cheeks, man. I'll get kids and go get some tricks. Well, we actually taped that interview on Friday when he,
Starting point is 01:10:07 I think he was home less than, what, 48 hours? Yes. They stopped doing it to chop it up with us. So that's what we got it on this morning. But the full conversation is up on YouTube right now. That's right. You can definitely check it out. And hopefully he got cheeks over the weekend.
Starting point is 01:10:18 Y'all are all up in with that man. Of course. Y'all love tuck my cheese. Go ahead, Envy. Let's get to the latest with Lauren. Yeah. You're talking, L.L. Kuwait. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:27 I'm not dumbing myself down. I'm being myself. That source is trust. I'm the home guy that knows a little bit about everything and everything. The little brown girls look at you and go, I want to be like you. Take me through that, take me through that. The latest with Lauren knows. Take me through that.
Starting point is 01:10:46 On the breakfast club. L.L. Cool bag. Talk to me. What happens when people ain't taking it through there no more? You're going to change it? You're going to put something new in there? I mean, we still have the other intro. We'll just be rotating.
Starting point is 01:10:57 We got time. We can change it. We create the way. We don't ride the way. That's right. So we can still take it back through there. anytime we want to. You all take it back everywhere.
Starting point is 01:11:04 Y'all play all types of songs. Yeah, but that's not a classic. It got to be a classic. Unk? Let us rock. All right. Now, take us through that, Lowe. Come on, let's go. What we're on.
Starting point is 01:11:13 So we are going to talk about FettyWap a little bit because over the weekend, TMZ ran into Maseca. So we had talked to Fetty Watt when he was here because Maseca, who is formerly of love and hip hop, but also shares a daughter with Fetty Wap. Had tweeted some things about being disappointed by him,
Starting point is 01:11:29 you know, talking about the first day out. and how upset she was about something that did not happen. Now, I was told from a source that there was a scheduling conflict, which is what caused all of the tweets from her side. But she spoke to TMZ about Fetty Wap and his release, and she seemed a lot more positive. Let's take a listen. You know, I genuinely wish him peace and growth.
Starting point is 01:11:50 You know, freedom is an opportunity. And I really hope he uses this chapter in his life to change the narrative, better things and just do positive things. So I'm actually glad that he is all. Okay, but like, how do you really? Because people are like, I mean, has he tried like reaching out to you, your daughter, I mean, to see her, anything? That's crazy. When he was in prison, we all communicated almost every single day.
Starting point is 01:12:11 You know, he talked to Carrie all the time and they had big plans. You know, I try to keep things with her and, you know, both of my children kind of private for their, you know, well-being. My goal has always been protection and safety for my kids. So, you know, I'm not going to go into many details of that. But, you know, anytime my child is disappointed, I get upset. So, you know. So is there any chance of you guys rekindling their romance between you? I know the internet wants, I mean, they're going to ask.
Starting point is 01:12:36 You know, we had a good run. It was definitely a lot of hides, a lot of lows. But, you know, that chapter is closed. Why does she say, you know, how do you really feel? Like, why do you want dirt? That's crazy. I'm not sure. Maybe.
Starting point is 01:12:48 She's in a relationship. Well, I think maybe because of the tweets, she thought that there was going to be something else. But I was, when I watched. She saw the breakfast club in a view and changed her mind. Or that did. That's what happened. Probably so. Or they had a conversation, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:13:03 Like, there was a lot happening within those first 48 hours that he was home. Now, shout out to Obesi, PR, who helped coordinate that interview with FettyWOP. They reached out to me over the weekend. FedriWat wanted us and another thank you to us for that interview. He says he's literally been trending all weekend. That's what's up, man. I saw the White House used his song over the weekend. I'm like, are y'all upset about this?
Starting point is 01:13:25 But I remember I forgot he came home on that first step act. So they're like, no. Which one? What song was it? They used... My way? Yeah, I believe it was my way. Maybe you know what you got in a night?
Starting point is 01:13:34 No, no, no, no, no, no. They didn't use that one. Again, trap queen. Hey. That's 6.79. Yeah, 679. They used that. And Trump's, like, getting out of a helicopter or whatever.
Starting point is 01:13:44 And I'm like, how you're saying about this? Trump's getting out of a helicopter. He's cripp walking while they play this song? He's not. The song is just in the background. They always do that. They always do that. They always pick good hip-hop record.
Starting point is 01:13:53 Yeah. But I just wanted to know if there was like anything, like any comment. And she was like, no, you know, we don't have, We sent out of that, but he came home in a first step back, which, you know, helped him gain his freedom. So he was great. Yeah, exactly. We should applaud legislation that allows, you know,
Starting point is 01:14:07 people to come home early from jail. First step back is a good piece of legislation. Yeah. And in other news, speaking of not coming home, but avoiding jail time, Boosie. So Boosie went live over the weekend to just talk about the fact that he won't be going to jail. So we've been waiting for Boosie's sentencing to happen. And it went down and he was ordered to three years of supervised release.
Starting point is 01:14:32 Now, this ruling makes it where he won't have to do any jail time, even if he doesn't get that pardon from Donald Trump that he's been asking about. He won't have to do any jail time. But Busy, you know, was kind of celebrating and telling us he's about to celebrate. Let's take a listen to Busy. I'm back. I give all praise to God, man. I knew it the whole time.
Starting point is 01:14:51 I've been telling y'all. Hey, I'm blessed to have my freedom. It's time to turn up now. You know, I couldn't do a lot of shit because. of other situation that I was going through, but I got three movies ready. I got proud of seven albums ready, and I'm going to push the game, man. I can do shows again, man. 2026, we lived for the 2026.
Starting point is 01:15:16 That's what's up, Boosy, Boo. Yeah, the power of the tongue and the power of a good attorney is very powerful. Because when Boosie was hit, Booty, we ain't, I'm not going to jail. It was positive the whole time. He said, do not speak that at all. Yeah. Yes. Even when they didn't look good.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Last week, they said they were, what, advising four years. The judge was thinking, too, and the fact that they got none, salute the boost. Yeah, 100%. And as we wrap, Rihanna has gave some love to Clarissa Shield. She says she is... Period. Yeah, she says she's very Clarissa Shields about her man, Aesap Rocky. Now, this happened because there was a meme that was posted of Aesap and Rihanna.
Starting point is 01:15:50 And you know how they all touchy, touchy, feel, wherever they're at. Like a couple? Very much so. Very much in love every time you see them. But Clarissa Shields responded to this. I take a listen to Clarissa. Rihanna knows money. Yo, when I seen that, like, I went to the gym today and just did gym, ran this morning.
Starting point is 01:16:13 Not really motivated to run this morning, but I went, I ran, I came back. And then being, like, it's like, wow, my phone started going crazy. And they're like, oh, my God, look what Rihanna said. And my heart dropped because I'm like, not Rihanna feeling how I feel about PEP, how she feel about. except what? I love Rihanna. That was just so dope. It kind of makes me just, it just shows me that I'm on a right path. Okay, new year, fresh start. And honestly, I'm starting with dinner. Starting point is 01:20:27 talking about A's at Rocky. Really? Yes, and in the next hour... You feel that way about your man? Oh, yeah. Don't ask him up to him on his eggs. I know exactly how he wanted him. You feel that way about your husband, Chris?
Starting point is 01:20:38 Absolutely. What's that? Like, duh, why you ask us that? I'm just asking. You feel that way? About your husband? No. You feel like that way about your wife?
Starting point is 01:20:49 I know you do. Absolutely. Do you and Vee feel that way about each other? Yes. Yeah. Taking each other through there. Mm-hmm, period. Well, coming up in the next hour,
Starting point is 01:20:59 I told you guys about the dismissal for the Salt and Pepper lawsuit, and I was like there's going to be more coming. So I talked to Salt from Salt and Peppa, and they plan an uphill. We're going to talk about it in the next hour. I mean, coming up in the next latest. All right. Shalerman, who will give me your donkey to?
Starting point is 01:21:12 Man, far after the hour, we need United States Secretary of Homeland Security, Christy Nome to come to the front of the congregation. We would like to have a word with her, please. All right. We'll get to that next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:21:21 Ladies! This is America. There is no question that there are problems in this country between police and community. Yes, you are a donkey. The latest on that police killing of a black man. Now to new developments in the deadly spa shooting rampage. And yesterday was a really bad day for him and this is what he did. And so we are in a state of emergency.
Starting point is 01:21:44 Okay, white supremacist violence is, it always has been the number one threat to our society. But I'm also very proud that my wife is white. such a breakfast club, bitch. All right, Shornayne, please tell me why was I your donkey of the day? Well, donkey today for Monday, January 12, goes to the United States Secretary of Homeland Security, Christy Knoem. Now, I think by now, we all are familiar with the tragic murder of Renee Nicole Good, okay? A 37-year-old mother of three who was shot and killed by an ice agent named Jonathan Ross. Ross can be heard on his cell phone video calling Renee a effing bitch, okay?
Starting point is 01:22:21 after shooting into her truck as she turns away from his direction. Now, what we have seen since this incident has happened, you know, before there was even a formal investigation started. We saw Republican lawmakers. We saw the president, Donald Trump. We saw the vice president, J.D. Vance. We saw right-wing media like Fox News. We saw, you know, Christy Nome all rushed to demonize Renee Good
Starting point is 01:22:43 and justify being her, justify her being shot and killed by Jonathan Ross. Okay, literally they are trying to convince the American people that we did. can see what we all saw. Okay, one of my favorite sayings is, don't pee on my head and tell me that it's raining, okay? It's one of those sayings that makes so much sense, but it actually doesn't make any sense because don't pee on my head should be a complete sentence, all right? The fact that I would even have to say that anywhere at any time is troubling. Don't pee on my head, but if you do, don't tell me it's rain because I smell the asparagus. That is what this administration is currently doing to us, okay? Peeing on our heads and telling us is raining.
Starting point is 01:23:21 But yesterday, Christy Noem was on State of the Union, and Jake Tapper asked her point blank, I'm wondering if you're not doing a disservice to the officer Jonathan Ross by reaching a conclusion before the investigation takes place. And Christy Noam started dancing like she was doing a TikTok video. Let's listen. Those are law enforcement officers being physically attacked. By this standard, would any of those officers be justified in shooting and killing? Nope. I'm all right.
Starting point is 01:23:50 Stop, stop, stop, stop. The other one. That wasn't about that. How did it? Oh. Ackin' bitch. Is that Agent Ross's voice calling Renee Goode a fucking bitch?
Starting point is 01:24:03 I can't determine which one it is, but it could be, sir. If you look at what the definition of domestic terrorism is, it completely fits this situation on the ground. This individual, as you saw in the video that we released just 48 hours after this incident, showed that this officer was hit by her vehicle. She weaponized it and he defended his life and those colleagues around him and the public. What evidence are you looking at that so many other people around the country look at and they say it looked to me, her tires were turned to the right, she was moving her car, and they see a woman trying to flee.
Starting point is 01:24:40 Jake, I'm watching the videos. Other people are watching the videos and getting the facts. Everything that we've stated as the Department of Homeland Security in this administration has been factual. And I wish we would talk factually about what we see every day from these protesters, what they do, what they say, how they chant over and over, kill ice, attack law enforcement, how they're trained to perpetuate violence against them and to stop the work that they do every day. Talk factual about the protesters, but not factual about law enforcement. What evidence are you looking at, Christy? That was a valid question from Jake Tapper. I would have said, why are you peeing on my head and telling me it's rain?
Starting point is 01:25:16 Did she not realize her own hypocrisy? Okay, the media didn't jump to conclusions about Renee Good. We, the people, didn't jump to conclusions about Renee Good. We responded to the video we saw. And then immediately, Christy Knoem, people like yourself, immediately politicized it and used it as an opportunity to demonize Renee Good and liberal protesters everywhere. But Jake Tapper decided to point out the clear double standard between how law enforcement responds to Trump supporters versus non-Trump supporters
Starting point is 01:25:47 by showing Christy Knoem video from the January 6th insurrection. Remember when those domestic terrorists that I not so affectionately called vanilla ISIS and owl crackers, remember when they stormed the Capitol? Yeah, Jake Tappel showed Christy Knoem footage of that and asked her about the double standard
Starting point is 01:26:03 from law enforcement. Let's go back to State of the Union to listen, please. Those are law enforcement officers being physically attacked. By this standard, would any of those officers being justified in shooting and killing the people causing them physical harm? Every single situation is going to rely on the situation those officers are on. But they know that when people are putting hands on them, when they are using weapons against them,
Starting point is 01:26:29 when they are physically harming them, that they have the authority to arrest those individuals. The president pardoned every single one of those people. And make sure that they're getting justice for their actions going forward. President Trump pardoned every single one of those people. And every single one of these investigations. comes in the full context of the situation on the ground. And that's one thing that President Trump has been so focused on is making sure that when we're out there,
Starting point is 01:26:52 we don't pick and choose which situations are, and which laws are enforced and which ones aren't. Every single one of them is being enforced under the Trump administration. I just showed you video of people attacking law enforcement officers, undisputed proof, undisputed evidence. And I just said President Trump pardoned all of them. And you said that President Trump is enforcing
Starting point is 01:27:14 all the laws equally. It's just not true. There's a different standard for law enforcement officials being attacked if they're being attacked by Trump supporters. We just saw them. Yes, it is. America, this isn't about politics to me because both sides absolutely politicize issues like this. All I care about in a situation like this is right and wrong. And if we as a people don't know what right and wrong is anymore, it's over. Okay, not that America has ever been held to a high moral standard, but if there is a video that we all can see, a la Rodney King, George Floyd, Eric Garner, okay, now Renee Good. If we all can see a video and see that an injustice happened,
Starting point is 01:27:52 why is it so hard to just admit, hey, that was wrong? Listen, ICE agents have a job to do. I get it. ICE has been around for 22 years. Okay, United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Okay, Bush, Obama, Biden, Trump, ICE was around under all of them. There have always been massive ICE raids in this country. I don't know how they were doing their ice raids before
Starting point is 01:28:10 because we didn't have social media back then recording their every move. Okay, and I don't have to agree with how they do their job to know they have a job to do. I want them to do their job lawfully. And I don't want us impeding on them doing their job unlawfully. Okay, I don't know if what Renee Good was doing was unlawful. It didn't look unlawful to me, but I don't know the law. But I do know what I saw didn't warrant her being shot and killed the way she was. And if we can't agree on simple right and wrong scenarios, we are doomed as a society.
Starting point is 01:28:40 Okay, right now we can't determine what's wrong in this situation. because of good old fashion cognitive bias. This is the time when folks are letting their politics pick sides and they shouldn't. At some point, we have to have some shared empathy. Shared empathy helps us to bridge divides, all right? Politics just leads to more cognitive bias, all right? People tend to favor information confirming existing beliefs. That's confirmation bias, but there should be no confirmation bias in this situation because you got eyes.
Starting point is 01:29:10 Okay? You can clearly see what happened to Renee Good was wrong. And we should all be acknowledging it because we don't want it to happen again. All right. We want ICE agents to do their job lawfully, not unlawfully. And we want citizens to lawfully protest against ICE if they see injustice, okay, and not unlawfully interfere in a situation and end up dead. But we can't get to that point if we collectively, okay,
Starting point is 01:29:35 if collectively we can't say what happened to Renee Good was wrong. and it's just another example of law enforcement being extra aggressive when they didn't have to be and using deadly force where deadly force wasn't needed. But instead, we the people are getting peed on and being told it's raining. Please give Christy Gnome the biggest he-ha. That's ridiculous. Yes, it is. It sounds dumb.
Starting point is 01:30:05 All right. Well, thank you for that donkey today. But the asparagus is crazy. because what? Don't pee stick when you use asparagus?
Starting point is 01:30:12 Yes and women be trying to tell me some girls that be trying to say oh no I don't never smell my pee when I eat asparagus
Starting point is 01:30:20 girl yes you do well it affects everybody differently so everybody's yeah everybody's pee doesn't smell when they eat
Starting point is 01:30:27 asparagus I forgot why but there's a scientific reason we need to figure it out and what does it research over there right
Starting point is 01:30:32 yeah but like what does it mean for the women who it do stink for because I know I can't even bite a piece of a sporgus
Starting point is 01:30:38 Piss me smother hours. This is great. So, right. Well, thank you for that donkey of the day. Now, if you're just joining us, we're talking about, I would say, social media couple. That's where we know them from. Desmond Scott and his wife, Christy. They have millions of followers on TikTok, Instagram, X, and all that.
Starting point is 01:30:55 And a lot of people followed their lives. We followed us. They built their house. They had two kids. They met at 14. They got married in 2014. But recently, she filed for divorce. Allegedly, people are speculating that it has to do.
Starting point is 01:31:08 infidelity. So you said something behind the scenes about you feel like, what, break it down? I just feel like when you get married at such a young age like that, you don't really even know yourself yet. You know, well, I don't know what age they got married, but they've been dating since 14 years old, you know, and when you spend that much time with one person starting from so young, you really don't even know who you are yet. You're still trying to go through the motions and figure out who you are, learning yourself,
Starting point is 01:31:36 learns what works for you, what's inappropriate to you, which you really won't take, you know what I mean? And then when you get to your, I guess, 20s or whatever they are now, whatever age they are now, it's like, I'm not the same person that I was, although we got kids in his marriage, like, damn, I kind of want to,
Starting point is 01:31:52 you know what I mean? You don't know. The only thing is, and I'm victim to this too, because I met my wife at 15 and 16 we started dating. And I did have an infidelity. We actually wrote about it in the book. But the problem with that is,
Starting point is 01:32:05 is my wife is my best friend. And because I wasn't grown yet, I wasn't mature enough. I was a young boy and I stepped out. Doesn't make it, I almost lost the best thing in my life. Right. I almost lost my best friend. I almost lost the person that is my confidant that rise for me that I know is there for one particular reason because we ain't had itch together.
Starting point is 01:32:24 Like, we came up together. So I get what you're saying, but I just think that men have a lot of maturing to do before they say I do. You know what I mean? And that's regardless of 20 years old. or being 30 years old. I just think that we have, I can't even just say men.
Starting point is 01:32:39 I think men and women in terms of just have a lot of growth to do before you say I do. We understand what I love you means and I love you means. And most times we don't. We say it because we think it's cool, but we step out. And if you really love that person, you wouldn't step out. You wouldn't hurt that person. Yeah. And, you know, it does depend, right?
Starting point is 01:32:57 Because, you know, if you find your soulmate early and you find, you know, your person early, like that, you know, that one person may be enough. You know, it may be. But I don't think too many people find that person at 14. But I also think folks forget, you can be with a person that long and outgrow a relationship too. Right. That's true too. There are a lot of cheeks in the sea.
Starting point is 01:33:17 But also, to what envy is saying, there's nothing another woman can offer you except vagina. If you've been with a woman for so long, because if you've been with a person since you were 14 and, you know, y'all have grown together and that's your best friend, that's your soulmate. That's your person, the person that knows you better than anybody, ain't really nothing another woman can offer you except vagina unless y'all outgrow each other and you want to be with each other
Starting point is 01:33:40 Right right right you know But let's go to the phone lines A lot of people on the lines hello who's this Hi this is Jesse Good morning Hey Jesse talk to us what's your thought Well they've been together for so long And they know each other since they were 14
Starting point is 01:33:52 I feel like at that age you really don't know Where you want or what to expect from life I feel like they're both moving in a different direction At this time and if the separation is needed for them to figure out if they want to even stay married, I feel like that's, you know, valid. Yeah, and that's part of it too. You know, people grow away from each other.
Starting point is 01:34:12 Like Sholomey said, you know, relationships evolve, and sometimes you might not evolve in the way that your partner's evolving, you know? Yeah. Exactly, exactly. And sometimes I feel like at 14, you have, like, this illusion of what you want in a marriage and you don't really know what it is. Only what you grew up seeing. Right.
Starting point is 01:34:30 But as you get older, you know, merry men and merry women know, that everyone changes and people evolve separately or sometimes they evolve together and unfortunately for them they're evolving separately. Thank you, Mama. That's it. Hello, who's this? Hi, good morning. This is Jay from Detroit.
Starting point is 01:34:47 Jay, what I'm doing? Hi, y'all doing. Good morning, Jeff. BJ Envy calling me. Peace, how are you? So I wanted to piggyback off of what Jeff said. I agree to a certain degree. I just, I really feel like we're getting to marriage, you should have.
Starting point is 01:35:03 an understanding of oneself. And what I mean by that is career, self-growth, self-love. You know, a lot of times people get into marriage is way too fast and then cheating or, you know, miscommunication become a thing.
Starting point is 01:35:20 You know, Charlemagne, come on now. We owe school it. So it's like when you get into a marriage, you understand it. Listen, if you're not willing to forgive, then you have no business getting married. That's true. It's going to be a lot of forgiving going on. He's going to get on your nerves and you're going to get on his.
Starting point is 01:35:39 However, we can't hit the divorce button every time something happens. Yeah. I agree. So I would say that. Now, I'm going to say something. Y'all buried the lead. I'm looking at the chat right now. I didn't know these people were just in their 20s.
Starting point is 01:35:52 I didn't know that either. Y'all, I didn't know. I don't know. I thought they was our age. I didn't know. I didn't know. They're younger than they 20. I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:36:01 might be in their 30s or something. No, somebody just said the dude Brian is 25. Yeah. So that's 14, that's yesterday. Yeah, that's what you mean. What you mean? They're young, you know. 30?
Starting point is 01:36:13 Okay, hold on. Okay, hold on now. They said 37, sir. Yeah, I don't think they're not. 25. All right. See, I don't know what you're talking about. They got kids.
Starting point is 01:36:20 They're like five, six, seven years. I don't know. I don't know. They said 30. They just have a big fan base. They just got a big fan base. That's what I know. And them people are hurt that they are not together.
Starting point is 01:36:31 What's the age? Let me look up to these people for myself. I need to know the age. Because if they, you know, in their 20s, they just started. Yeah, they did. Let's, let's, oh, 800, 585, 105.1. Do you think, I guess, what is the question? Meeting somebody at 14, getting married, you feel like you should test the waters before you get married.
Starting point is 01:36:50 Yeah, I just, yeah, yeah. I agree with a little bit of what everybody is saying, but, like, I just feel like when you get, because, look, even my parents. My parents, they got married, like, early, like, early. around those ages, you know, what they met around those ages and got married, like, before they even hit 20, my dad went to the military, and my mom started a business, and it's like, they're not together anymore. And one of the things that I remember my dad saying to me is like, yo, I didn't really get a chance to live my life out. You know what I'm saying? Like, and although you get upset, you can get upset of that, you know, because he cheated on my mother. It's just still like, damn, no, you're right. Like, you really didn't. Right out of high school, you got married. You know what I'm saying? You started having kids. You've been doing this. You've been doing this. family life for a while, you didn't even know who you really was. You know what I'm saying? Kevin Moore back then is not the Kevin Moore that he grew in to be. That's right.
Starting point is 01:37:38 So you feel like somebody should have a whole phase before you get married. Is that what you're saying? Not even whole phase, but just date. Like they've been each other's person since, I mean, they've been together. There's only one real relationship. How would you know? Just date. We're having the right conversation, but we're having the wrong conversation.
Starting point is 01:37:54 Okay. They met at 19 and 20. No. No, they met at 14. 14. They got married. Yeah. They met at 14.
Starting point is 01:38:01 got married at 19 and 20s. So they've been together about 15, 16 years. And they were married for 11. Right. You got to learn to forgive a little bit of cheating if you loved to man. I'm only speaking from my personal experiences, you know what I'm saying? By the way, and vice versa. But we see the thing is, and this is the bad thing about following somebody's life on social media.
Starting point is 01:38:25 We don't know to the extent of what happened. I don't. I'm only going up to the surface of what I know. She said that he cheated. Did I have a wild rumors so far? She said that he cheated. By the way, it might just be a threat. And because of social media, you know, I'm getting to the bus.
Starting point is 01:38:37 He cheated on me. She already filed. But that file can be taken back. All I'm simply saying is, as the, now I understand when the lady that called a little while ago was saying, you know, you got to learn to forgive. And by the way, that's not for everybody. But some people ask their end or be all in the situation.
Starting point is 01:38:55 Don't step out our marriage. Listen, I get it. It's some people's end or be all. But we don't know the extent of what happens. I know, man, because I'm reading here. Some people say, yo, she's funny. She'd be doing caught wheels and designer heels irking his nerves. Like, they live around a corner from me.
Starting point is 01:39:08 Well, that's not a reason to cheat. That's not a reason to leave. I mean, I know. I'm just saying, like, they just saying, you know, she's annoying. Infidelity isn't a deal breaker for everybody. But the best apology from a man is changed behavior. And if he did step out, now he has to work to prove that he won't, you know, engage in that kind of behavior against.
Starting point is 01:39:24 He might, he might not want that either. Yeah, well, well, to be honest, somebody here said that he said that he said that he told, that he told her he wanted to separate before cheating. Damn! That's, yep, that was from one of their loyal fans in the chat, I'm reading it. Hey, hello, who's this? Good morning, good morning. How was everybody?
Starting point is 01:39:41 What's your name, brother? I got to disagree with Jeff. I got to disagree with Jeff because, like, it creates bigger problems down the road. You sound like Kermit. I'm so sorry. I cannot. Yeah, you said not. I understand you. You're not. I understand you.
Starting point is 01:39:59 I heard that. I hate that my whole face. Oh, okay, okay. Yeah, but you sound like you ain't got, you sound like you ain't got no, Miss Piggy. You sound so wholeness. What? I sound holiest?
Starting point is 01:40:09 Nah, no, no, he's got holiest. Jesus Christ. Go ahead, go ahead. You disagree with me because what? Say it again because I couldn't understand. That's because I feel like it creates the department down the run. I care what you, Kermit. I'm holding it.
Starting point is 01:40:26 Hold on. No, no, let Kermie talk. No, no, please. Let Kirby talk. I'm sorry, Kermen. Go ahead, Kermie. If I find out that you step out, during the relationship,
Starting point is 01:40:35 it's like down the road when we get back together. It's like, I don't even want to, I don't want to pass. So you and Ms. Piggie never had those problems? Like, you ain't never step out on Ms. Piggie? No, that's not my type. All right, Kermit. Thank you, Borgie. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:40:51 Kermit ain't got no pigs. Because nobody can be a judge. No. Imagine his voice. They're doing sex, yo. That's crazy. Oh, give it to me, baby. Oh, baby, give it to me, baby.
Starting point is 01:41:05 Stop. Give it to me, baby. Oh, freak me, frog. What's the moral of the story if there is a moral? Is there a moral? I mean, the moral of the story is communication is key. That's what I would think. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:41:18 And, you know, there is no way to do a little bit of wrong. I think a lot of brothers in these situations, they'd be like, I've been with her for, you know, 11 years, so if I just step out, you know what I'm saying, go down, do something real quick, come back home. She'll never know. Nah, there's no right way to do a little bit of wrong. Just, I know you're a damn fool.
Starting point is 01:41:35 If you step out on your marriage, man or woman nowadays. Like the amount of things that I feel like there's cameras everywhere, this video. When I be seeing stuff now, I'd be like you can't be that stupid. Always feel like it's a setup. Always feel like it's a setup. Just feel like that and then go back home. Damn it, man.
Starting point is 01:41:51 All right. Well, like I said, no, let me shut up. I just like to see people work it out. I know. I know. But that's the other thing. That should be the moral story for us, viewers and listeners and people who are fans of these people. Don't, we can't, uh, it happens.
Starting point is 01:42:08 So we can't like be, like, what is the word? Like, I see what is you saying? You know what I can see? I don't, but what am I saying? I don't know the word you look for, but I see what you said, but I can look at it two ways, right? Infidelity, if you step out on me and I leave, I'm probably over it. Anyway, like, if I want to forgive you and I want to make things work, that I mean, I still want to be with you.
Starting point is 01:42:30 Right, right. You know? But sometimes it's the embarrassment, right? It's the public embarrassment. They're a public couple. She got embarrassed on a public platform. She might not want to deal with it. Well, we wouldn't have known if she didn't bring her to ticket.
Starting point is 01:42:40 I was going to say. Well, no, she filed for divorce and, you know, it's public. We wouldn't know. Well, she didn't put it out there, but people found it. I'm saying, don't you don't have to file so quick as what I'm just, I'm just, listen, I'm just, as a former cheetah, I just, I'm always going, I'm always going to forgive me. I'm always going to root for forgiveness, you know what I'm always going to
Starting point is 01:42:58 for forgiveness too. figure it out and work it up. That's what I'm saying. Don't praise these celebrity relationships or influence the relationships or whatever because it happens. Everybody makes a mistake. And everybody don't make it. Every marriage don't last forever. So, yeah. I'm going to call my wife, I love her.
Starting point is 01:43:14 All right. All this time you're going to make a head, and you have it on purpose. Not all this time you've been waiting for it. No, no, no. No. They don't know what we're talking about. Guys, guys, gows, gows, gals, gals. Shand me talk about my boss spot.
Starting point is 01:43:27 And I gave him a compliment. I gave you a. Spray. First of all, all right. The spray be all over the pillow. I don't know how you do that. Anyway, right. Let's get to the latest. Where else... I'm not dumbing myself down.
Starting point is 01:43:41 I'm being myself. That source is trust. I'm the homeguard that knows a little bit about everything and everything. Little brown girls look at you and go, I want to be like you. Take me through that. Take me through that. Where she's going? The latest with Lorna Lewis.
Starting point is 01:43:57 On the breakfast club. as we start this last latest for the show today I did want to take some time to send a rest in peace to T.K. Carter. Yeah, legendary comedian and actor known for his roles. There's so many of them, but known for his rose, one of his big breaks was the thing. He's also done space james, Steve Harvey's show, Moesha,
Starting point is 01:44:22 different world, runway train, domino, the corner, the list goes on. But just sending the rest of piece of him, was found dead in his home in California. Police do believe that there is no foul play involved, but there is no official cause of death that has been released at this time. He was 69 years old.
Starting point is 01:44:38 I saw Jamie Fox post, Rest and Power King, you were an inspiration to me and a lot of other comedians. Please let us recognize T.K. Carter, a cornerstone of comedy. Rest and peace. Rest and peace to that, brother. Yes. 69 years old. Rest and peace. Yeah. Now, as we
Starting point is 01:44:53 switch gears a bit, so we'd covered this last week that Salt and Peppa, their lawsuit, to reclaim certain rights to their music was dismissed by a judge. When we talked about it then, it was kind of left open ended of what would happen next because they are able to go back and try and, you know, do some more things legally. And of Salt and Peppa tells me that they do plan to appeal the dismissal of their lawsuit. She sent me a statement and she says, we respectfully disagree with the course decision
Starting point is 01:45:20 and fully intended to pursue our rights to appeal. We, Cheryl James and Shandra Denton, also known as the hip-hop icon, Saltin Peppa, are the creative and driving force behind all. our sound recordings and have performed these songs over the past 40 years remain committed to vindicating and reclaiming our rights as creators under the Copyright Act. So there will be more there that will keep you guys updated with. Free salt and pepper. Oh, whatever.
Starting point is 01:45:41 Basically, get them named after they back. I had to ask envy. I had to come here after I talked to her. I'm like, what did Charlemagne do or say to her at one point? Because she was like, make sure Charlemagne's being nice up there. We need public support. I'm like, he's being so nice. You always say that about me.
Starting point is 01:45:53 That's just a prerequisite that they say. Help Charlemaine be nice. I'm always nice But I let her know They deserve their masters Man they deserve their masters They didn't I don't understand
Starting point is 01:46:03 Why are you holding on the salt And pepals vassas After all these years Like you like at some point You know You have to have some Just some morality to say You know man
Starting point is 01:46:12 You've made enough money off these people Yeah Yeah Well We'll keep you guys updated Because there will be more Hopefully it will work out that way Now in other news
Starting point is 01:46:23 So R Kelly's daughter sat down with Reginey Carter, who is the daughter of Little Wayne. So Reginey has this show, and I really think that this is such a good pocket for her to be, and she does amazing on her show. It's quite airtime, and she sits down with other celebrity children
Starting point is 01:46:38 and talk through their experiences as celebrity kids. Love it. Not just the kids, right? Because she sat down with Wayne and moms. Yeah, her parents were on there as well, too. But the premise of it is like, here's a look into the celebrity life, but also the kid of a celebrity. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:46:53 She didn't bring Jojo Simmons on there yet. She has well. Don't know it, man. You're so shady. Give an opportunity to, okay. Why do you have to call him out? At 57 a.m. New Year, what do you do to you? What's your doing?
Starting point is 01:47:08 Let's take a listener, Regine, having a conversation about how his daughter, you know, feels about him today and the present. What do people don't know about your mom and dad that you want them to know? I love my father, okay? It's a big misconception that there is hate or, like, animosity towards him. It's none of that. At the end of the day, I went through what I went through, my family went through what they went through, and I'm going to hold people accountable. However, that does not reflect how I feel about that man. I love my dad. I support him as the artist that he is, but as a human being, you have a responsibility to uphold. And that's that. Now, my mother love her to death.
Starting point is 01:47:47 I'm so proud of the person that she is. And yeah, when it comes to how I view them and what I want people to know is just that we are a very genuine family unit. And we wear our heart on our sleeves. The shit that we've been through is real. It's not fake. It's not scripted. It's none of that. So just take that into consideration when you talk about me and mine.
Starting point is 01:48:09 Very tough position to be in. I got to be difficult for her, right? No matter what she does, she'll always be compared. or associated to her pop. But also just internally, like, figuring out, could you love your dad. Like your own battle, right? Yeah, how does that?
Starting point is 01:48:23 Yes, right? Especially because, you know, her mom talks about things that she went through, that she went through. But she also talked about, like, just how she deals with that love. And now she has a son. And her having a son has made her realize her parents are just people at the end of the day. And how she keeps her, or Kelly, in her son's life.
Starting point is 01:48:41 Let's take a listen. What do you tell your son about his granddad? Really, right now? just as many positive things as I can he obviously knows he's not around um I do play his music for him we have little conversations here and there but you know he's only three and that's a lot to get into yeah like you know that I mean like I know that he's not like around so I'm saying like how do they have that relationship where it's like it's more so I just kind of play his music okay that's dope that be what it is right now I'm like that's your grandpa like if we hear him
Starting point is 01:49:13 I'll be like, you know, that's your grandpa playing on the radio and he's like, grandpa? I was raised, what kind of Kelly song she's playing for the three-year-old? Step in the name of love. I believe I can fly. Yeah. It is a tough spot, though, because she's not
Starting point is 01:49:28 responsible for anything that her father did, but then sadly, it's like she probably has to pay for some of his sense. She's always connected, yeah. You know what I mean? And then dealing with her own mom being a survivor, you know what I mean? And like, she spoke out publicly about that
Starting point is 01:49:41 and her family having to deal with the world knowing, you know what I mean? Did she say something different in the documentary? Because I've seen people trying to compare what she said in the documentary to what she said on the show. It was something about herself, right? Yeah. Allegedly, it was something going on.
Starting point is 01:49:56 Like, it was that type of sexual. That's what I thought too. But I didn't know if it was a different daughter, so I don't know. No. He got one daughter, right? I don't know how many daughters. Well, with Dria. Yes, with Drea.
Starting point is 01:50:08 Yeah, so she's had, you know, other conversations about R. Kelly that in the doc, but. I mean, maybe she's... What are the other conversations? She alleged that R. Kelly sexually abused her as a child in the documentary. But, I mean, at this point, maybe... That's what I was wondering. How do you still have that relationship if...
Starting point is 01:50:26 That's a question for her. And at this point, it seems like she's choosing to still leave with love, even though she's saying as a person, he has to deal with the things that he's done to people. You know what I mean? Now, as we... That's also why as parents, you know, you have to know that your kids are going to have to wear some of this BS that you do.
Starting point is 01:50:42 So it should affect your decision making when you're a grown-ass adult with kids Because eventually they might have to wear the BS that you do That you did Yeah So you got to be responsible for your actions All right, let's see As you got a rap
Starting point is 01:50:59 Yeah I just wanted to mention I saw that Jason Lee was cleared of those In other news Jason Lee was clear that that accusation he spent Salute to Jason Dropping the clues bomb to Jason Lee All the money for the while
Starting point is 01:51:10 And I think it was $50,000 That they were alleged that he had spent in the wrong way to bring Wiling out the Stockton and he was clear to that. So I just wanted to mention that. Absolutely positively clear. The lie is usually as never loud
Starting point is 01:51:20 as the truth unless you Jason Lee. That's right. Okay. What you're Jason Lee? Because Jason Lee, not only does he own Hollywood unlock, he got relationships with a bunch of other platforms. Jason Lee is making sure that that truth is just as loud as that lie.
Starting point is 01:51:33 As it should. As he should. Yeah, that's so damaging to your reputation and things of that nature. And happy birthday to Issa Rade a Great. Oh, yeah. Yeah, happy birthday. Happy birthday, Sarah.
Starting point is 01:51:43 And Howard Stern. Oh, happy birthday. And he's 72. Yep. Happy birthday, them too. All right. Well, let's get to the mix. We're going to start off with Mary.
Starting point is 01:51:50 Yesterday was Mary's birthday. We're going to start the mix over some Mary. It's the breakfast club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ NV. Jess hilarious. Sholomey and the guy.
Starting point is 01:51:57 We are the breakfast club. Now, salute to Fetty Watt for joining us again. Salute to the good brother, Fettie Watt, man. We put that interview out on Friday because he came home when. Thursday. Wednesday. Wednesday. He came home Wednesday.
Starting point is 01:52:08 And he came here Friday morning. So we just decided to put it out on Friday. So if you haven't watched the interview, you can go on YouTube and watch it. Yeah, and also he wanted me to remind you guys, he's doing a glaucoma walk for a young boy. It's a 5K walk. If you want more information, it's just raising money for anybody that has glaucoma. I guess this month is glaucom awareness month. So if you want more information, it's hazewalks Foundation.com.
Starting point is 01:52:35 Again, it's Hayes, H-A-Y-Z-E, Walks Foundation for more information. wanted me to sit that information. Yeah, he should have waited until the summer for that. God damn, it's cold. What you're walking? It's January 25th, you walk. It's cold, man. It is.
Starting point is 01:52:47 For God, damn. And also, I want to tell everybody, you know, I just told you all to go to YouTube and watch the FettyWop interview. I want to remind y'all to go to Netflix, type in Breakfast Club, and set your reminders because starting on January 26, those full conversations like FettieWap will be available on Netflix. So go to Netflix right now. Set your reminders. for breakfast club because start in January 26
Starting point is 01:53:12 those full conversations will be on Netflix. That's right. Now, I just want to salute to all the nurses out there. I know we spoke about it earlier. The nurses are actually protesting right now. So they are protesting. They're trying to get their contract re-signed. So they're out there.
Starting point is 01:53:26 So if you're out and about and you see some nurses protesting, honk your horn, show them love, show them some support. I see one of them hit me in my Instagram. They wanted me to DJ out there to give them some kind of... Oh, this morning? Yeah, this morning. I just seen it now.
Starting point is 01:53:38 but I would love to go out there and DJ for a little bit to give them some encouragement to say that we encourage all the nurses out there. I've definitely slew to all the nurses, man. Nurses are important. To be honest with you, I don't even understand why we be arguing and debating about paying people like nurses more money.
Starting point is 01:53:53 Like that's the thing about America that I just don't ever understand. Our essential workers, our public servants, the people that actually make the world go around, they should be getting paid top dollars. I agree. Teachers, the nurses, you know, police officers, the firefighters, the garbagement,
Starting point is 01:54:11 like those are the people that should be getting paid top dollars. Even if you think about the nurses and the doctors, they're helping people that are sick. So they possibly get sick all the time. Yeah. All the time, but they still come to work each and every day. They deal with people whether they're crying,
Starting point is 01:54:25 whether they have nasty attitudes, whether they have insurance, whether they don't, whether they're good people or not. Their job is to make sure people okay and they do a great job. So now they have to risk getting sick going to protest outside in 30, degree weather because their pay is not
Starting point is 01:54:40 what they value at. It's just wow. That's great. A little to all the nurses. You got some coming up? Yes. I love this quote. He says, never feel badly about making mistakes. You must never feel badly about making mistakes as long as you
Starting point is 01:55:12 take the trouble to learn from them. For you often learn more by being wrong for the right reasons than you do by being right for the wrong reasons. Have a great day. Breakfast club, bitches! You're all finished or y'all done? woke up. Wake you up.
