Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything. Like packing a spare stick. I like to be prepared. That's why I remember, 988, Canada's suicide crisis helpline. It's good to know, just in case. Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder anytime.
Starting point is 00:00:26 988 suicide crisis helpline is funded by the government in Canada. You know, Roald Dahl. He thought up Willie Wonka and the BFG. but did you know he was a spy? In the new podcast, The Secret World of Roll Dahl, I'll tell you that story, and much, much more. What? You probably won't believe it either.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Was this before he wrote his stories? It must have been. Okay, I don't think that's true. I'm telling you, the guy was a spy. Listen to the Secret World of Roll Dahl on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Ready for a different take on Formula One?
Starting point is 00:01:03 Look no further than no grip. a new podcast tackling the culture of motor racing's most coveted series. Join me, Lily Herman, as we dive into the under-explored pockets of F1, including the story of the woman who last participated in a Formula One race weekend, the recent uptick in F1 romance novels, and plenty of mishap scandals and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to No Grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:01:29 or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Bailey Taylor, and this is It Girl. This podcast is all about going deeper with the women's shaping culture right now. Yes, we will talk about the style and the success, but we are also talking about the pressure, the expectations, and the real work behind it all. As a woman in the industry, you're always underestimated. So you have to work extra hard in a way that doesn't compromise who you are in your integrity. You know, I like to say I was kind of like a silent ninja.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Listen to It Girl with Bailey Taylor on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Owens, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg, a lesbian, Michael Marangini.
Starting point is 00:02:25 My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is love trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Woke up, woke up. Program your alarm to Power 105.1 on IHartRadio. Good morning, USA! Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, jo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, you, jo, yo, yo, yo, jo, yo, yo, yo, just hilarious. Wicked that ass out, shalem's running a little late, and is Monday. Yes, it's Monday. Back to the work week. How are you feeling, Jess?
Starting point is 00:03:09 I feel good. I ain't going to hold you. I'm tired, Joe. I'm very, very tired. He was to the Carolinas this weekend, right? Absolutely. But shout out to the city of Greensboro, North Carolina. It was dope.
Starting point is 00:03:18 I made some pretty great connections. Shout out to Chef Dave, Black Chef. Yo, came and shook the kitchen up. I love it. And, you know, I've been changing my diet, so he stuck to that. He used to, like, making, you know, turkey wings, chicken wings, you know what I'm saying? All a soulful.
Starting point is 00:03:35 but I switched up my stuff. I'm a flexitarian now. A flexitarian, okay. Fish, no dairy, things like that. So he stuck to the program. It was really dope. And then shout out to, my God, what was his name? Tyler, Tyler, a young videographer, yo.
Starting point is 00:03:52 He came and captured my shows for two days. Dope, 21-year-old, but he got, like, this vision. He got the eye of, like, a director. Dope. He captured some really good content. Ty filmed his tag or whatever, but really, really dope. And shout out to the comedy. Zone and the manager there, Paul,
Starting point is 00:04:08 yo, he was under staff all weekend and he, you know some managers, you don't even really get to meet, man, he was in the kitchen, he was serving, at one point he was DJ, like, shout out to Paul and the staff at the Comedy Zone, man, but Greensboro was lit, my meet
Starting point is 00:04:23 and greets were lit as well. That's dope. And salute to, I was out in Riley over the weekend, drop a bomb for all the AKAs out there. Oh, dope. Jesus Belizeus. So we were in Riley, and I've I've DJed arenas. I've DJed.
Starting point is 00:04:38 I've DJed. I've DJed anything like that. But yesterday, this weekend was the first time I ever had to DJ a function with that many people. It was 10,000 people, 9,900 and 9,900 women. It's probably about 50 to 100 men. 9,000. So when I said they came out in the ages range from 25 to 75.
Starting point is 00:05:03 And when I say they were rocking. That's what's that. Those women were rocked. Damn, the range of music was also. Exactly. And I've never been put in a situation like that. I had to play from celebration to set it off to, you name it, to usher. So many different eras.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Was it the million women march? Why was it? It was an AKA convention in Ronald, Carolina. Oh, man. When I say I had so much fun, it was like, I swear. It was 9,900 women. Probably about 100 men that were just there working with their wives. But when I say they turned up, you name it, they turned up.
Starting point is 00:05:39 It was so crazy. I had such an amazing time. They danced. So, ain't none of them women bring their husbands? The dates a significant other than a hundred of them? No, it was just the A.k.A. convention. It was the Riley chapter. And, oh, man, they shut the Riley.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Oh, he was in Riley. Oh, dope, dope, dope. It was so amazing. And also, a salute to Boris, who owns the vault as a dispensary. They opened up over this weekend. And I got your bag. So here's one for you. Yo, that's what's up.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Here's one for you. I got one for Lauren. One of the bag of Sativa for her mom. So I got your own work. Yes. Thank you. Thank you. You was in the Carolinas this weekend too, right?
Starting point is 00:06:12 I was, but we'll get to that later. I was, I got into the, I rushed in here because I was running late because I was listening to Sarah Jake Roberts. Oh, my God. Boy, she had a sermon. Man. Not caring about y'all. That's all. She just told me that.
Starting point is 00:06:26 That's it. That's it. Compassion without caring. Oh, my God. That is a message that people need to hear. Because if you care about everything, you will care about nothing. There you go. If you care about everything, you will care about nothing. She was talking about compassion, fatigue.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Okay. Oh, my God, y'all should go listen to that. It came out seven days ago, but I just caught up on it. All right. Yes, that's why I was running in late. I was sitting in the car like, damn, I got to get out to go to work. Yes, you do. Well, Dr. Humor will be joining us.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Yes, my God. Dr. Umar will be joining us this morning. Yes, indeed. We ain't got to tell you much about Dr. Umar. He'll be in the builder. I mean, for those who don't know, he's a, you know, motivational, speaker, he's an author, he's a certified school psychologist, he's a Prince of Pan-Africanism.
Starting point is 00:07:07 And Dr. Umar said, he definitely don't care what y'all think, because he got his school, okay? He got his school together. It's going, it's going get open, okay? You hear me? We're going to talk to him a little bit. And I wanted to start to show off with this, because this record right here, besides before I let go,
Starting point is 00:07:23 75-year-old women, 25-year-old women, put their arms around each other and started swag surfing in this building. Sometimes I wonder if him be black for real. I mean, I just don't even like, he's shocked at a bunch of black people of any gender 75 years old women with swag service. Where have you been?
Starting point is 00:07:40 I don't usually DJ for 75 year old men. That's not my Dominican man right here. No nothing about black folks. Salute to the A.K.A.'s had such an amazing time. It's the breakfast club. Good morning. And you realize that black people like swags are of all ages. No.
Starting point is 00:07:55 That's not what I said. But salute to the A.K.A.S. Again, that convention was amazing. That's a lot to all those wonderful women. Really dope. They played swags off. They played swagsurf at NASCAR this weekend. But it wasn't 75, 80-year-old women dancing. No, 70-year-old white women. You know, they surf you a little off.
Starting point is 00:08:12 So they look like a little 100. They look like a hundred. All right, well, let's get some front page news. First, let's start off with quick sports. We got to congratulate Kevin Durant. He passes Michael Jordan for the fifth on the scoring list. He scored 27 points in the Houston Rockets win, and he gave him 32, 294 points.
Starting point is 00:08:31 So two more than Jordan. Congratulations. Stuff like that lets you know, numbers lie, right? What you mean? Kevin Durand is nowhere near as good as Michael George. No, no. Not at all. Because you'll see that. In the future, people will see that. And they'll see that. Yes. Yes. All right. What's up, Mimi? Good morning, Mv. Josh, Jaleman. How y'all doing this morning?
Starting point is 00:08:50 Good morning. Good morning. So we start this morning with a government shutdown and a political standoff that is now spreading far beyond Washington. So President Trump says he is sending ICE agents to airports starting today. The Trump administration says the idea is to help TSA with those long security lines caused by the shutdown since many TSA agents have been working without pay and calling out sick. So Saturday was the worst day so far. More than 3,200 TSA employees called out nationwide and more than 400 agents have now quit. Officials say ICE agents will not be running X-ray machines or on the screening bag, but they will, because they're not trained for that, but they could help with crowd control, checking IDs, managing
Starting point is 00:09:35 lines so TSA agents could focus on screening. Borders are Tom Holman says the plan is already in motion and he's warning the public to be prepared to see ICE agents starting today. Let's listen. The ICE agents are signed at many airports across the country already. They do a lot of investigation, criminal investigation on smuggling airports, but, you know, certainly a highly trained ICE and law enforcement officers can cover an exit. it makes people don't go through those exits,
Starting point is 00:10:02 entering the airport through the exits. And stuff like that relieves that TSA officer to go to screening and to reduce those lines. So wherever we can provide extra security. I don't see an ice agent looking at an x-ray machine because we're not trained in that. There are certain parts of security that TSA is doing, that we can move them off those jobs
Starting point is 00:10:23 and put them in the specialized jobs, help move those lines. Imagine the people I'm not getting paid for coming to help. help me at work. Like, because, you know, that's what this ultimately is about, right? They're not getting paid because. Yeah. How about take some of that money that you was using for ICE agency? Right. Just, yeah, just give me my money. Just pay me and we'll come to work. But what job? But what job will they know how to do? Like, because they can't read the x-ray machines, right? They're going to check IDs basically trying to deport more people, trying to profile people. And it's already lots.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Like, yo, the airport was crazy even on Friday. Like, it's wow. Did y'all see Atlanta? Did you see at New York? York, all these places, it's a line to get to another line to get to another line. And you're about to bring ice agents in to just help check IDs. Yeah, I don't understand how this is going to benefit airports or how this is going to help TSA in any way, shape, or form. At all. And the president is now saying that there will be no deal to end this shutdown unless Democrats agree to pass the Save America Act. Now, that's the bill that would require people to show proof of citizenship like a passport or birth certificate in order to register to vote. And experts, of course, are calling that the worst voter suppression bill ever seriously considered by Congress, warning it would disenfranchise millions of Americans.
Starting point is 00:11:38 So the president making that announcement yesterday. Now, what they shut down, is that, does that affect air traffic controller too? It does not affect air traffic controllers. No, just the TSA agents, Coast Guards. And there's one more agency that I'm forgetting right now. I saw that thing you posted yesterday to me and me that I looked up about how all of this was in. Project 2025 on page 159. Yeah, they told us exactly what was going to happen.
Starting point is 00:12:03 How they was going to come for TSA, deunionize it, defund it, and replace it with a form of ice. Yes, absolutely. It was all written in the playbook, you know, right before our very eyes. And now to a major development in the war with Iran and a deadline that could determine what happens next. So over the weekend, President Trump gave Iran a 48-hour ultimatum.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Reopen the straight of her moves or the United States will begin attacking Iran's power plants and that deadline is expected to expire tonight. The strait of Hermouse is that one, one of the most important oil routes in the world, about one of every five barrels of oil passes through that narrow stretch of water. So right now that route is essentially shut down because of the war. And that's the big reason why we're seeing those high gas prices and while the global economy is starting to feel the pressure.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Well, the president says if Iran does not reopen that route that the U.S. will target its power plants, which would cause widespread blackouts across Iran affecting hospitals, water systems, food supplies, and everyday life. But Iran, they are also responding with a warning of their own. They say that if their power plants are attacked, they will retaliate by attacking oil and energy facilities across the region, which would spend oil prices even higher and disrupt energy supplies around the world. Now, Iran's military is also vowing to close the straight of her moves indefinitely if the U.S. follows through on the president's threat to bomb power plants. And yesterday on Meet the Press, Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut, he weighed in on this
Starting point is 00:13:32 growing escalation. Let's listen really quickly. What we know is that the minute we stop bombing, this new regime is going to start rebuilding their missile capacity and their drone capacity. The estimates are that it'll only take them a handful of months to reconstitute that threat. So what did we get at the end of this war? We're going to waste billions of dollars. We're going to get dozens, if not hundreds of Americans killed. We're going to start new conflicts in the region. And when it's all said and done, a more provocative regime is going to be in charge with the same military capacities. This is nonsensical. This is what happens when you put real estate developers and talk show hosts in charge of
Starting point is 00:14:09 American national security. Yeah. And so in this morning, the U.S. State Department is now warning Americans worldwide to exercise increase caution, especially in the Middle East, saying American interest overseas could become targets and American abroad are being towed to follow security alerts from U.S. embassies. And coming up at 7, hundreds of flights, they've been canceled after a deadly crash at LaGuardia. We're going to talk
Starting point is 00:14:32 about that, what we know so far, and how this could impact travel in the air and on the ground this morning. You know what? This is exactly why I stayed in the car to listen to Sarajeet Robbers for an extra five minutes. Okay, compassion fatigue. It's so much going on, way too much going on. I don't have the capacity for all of this, okay? If we care about everything,
Starting point is 00:14:48 we will care about nothing. I have to choose what to care about but I need to care about it all because it all impacts exactly and speaking of Karen I was flying out of LaGuardi on Friday and the TSA agents did want me to tell her that she thanks to show for bringing awareness to their situation got fluttered Jeff Kay's young lady told me the same thing so yes she ain't long said the same thing the same thing the most simple thing you can say the TSA workers is thank you that's right they are there working without a paycheck like if you going through TSA today just simply say thank you I know you stressed out
Starting point is 00:15:20 because they're lying long and you're trying to get the way you need to be. But simply tell those people, thank you. That's right. You're going to the bathroom and they cry. The girl was crying. Like, she can't afford her building stuff. Well, we'll see you next hour, Mimi. Everybody else, get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:15:33 800-585-105-1. If you need to vent, phone lines are wide open. It's the breakfast club. Good morning. Ray, Ray, Ray. Yo, Sala Man. Izzy, what up? Are we live?
Starting point is 00:15:44 This is your time to get it off your chest. I got an indoor pool. Our outdoor pool. We want to hear from you on the breakfast. Club. We can get on the phone right now. We'll tell you what it is. We live!
Starting point is 00:15:54 Hello, who's this? Yo, this Dee from Houston, bro. Dee from East Town. What up, Dee? Get it off your chest, bro. Morning. Hey, good morning. I don't know of Lauren now.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Good morning, y'all. What's up, bro? Lauren around here, something with it. Long time listening to first time call him. I know Vind would be hanging up on people, but let me go quick. So, the day Z concert that's coming in July. How y'all see this playing out, bro? Because, uh, the, they have a friend.
Starting point is 00:16:20 The president was tough about Nog, right? Five years later, you're going at Nuzz. So are you doing those songs? Do you... How you... You just got out? You just got out, bro? How long you've been in prison, bro?
Starting point is 00:16:31 Like, how long... Like, you know Jay Z and Nause super cool now, right? I got that part, bro. But again, we're talking about... We're talking about albums. You're celebrating the albums, right? Yeah, but he's bought...
Starting point is 00:16:44 He's actually bought Naz out to do the hook on dead presidents before. Yeah. I don't... I ain't know that. I doubt he'll be going at at Nause and if he has to do takeover I mean I don't think you should do the first
Starting point is 00:16:58 He'll just do the first verse What he usually does he plays the intro of it And then he switches it But he's not I I don't think he should do takeover Prodigies passed away But you know it's so crazy It's funny I was having this conversation yesterday
Starting point is 00:17:10 And somebody was telling me that Ice Cube still does No Vaseline and I was like why Why does Ice Cube still perform No Vaseline? People are dead You know the beef is done it's just like why. Right. Like why?
Starting point is 00:17:22 Some fans want to hear that. You got cool fans that was like, was in their prime when they heard this, you know, and they want to hear it. Like him calling up right now. He wanted to hear that, what, what was it, a nods-dish that you want to hear?
Starting point is 00:17:33 He went to head takeover. He was wondering if he was going to do takeover. I doubt he's doing takeover, too. I don't think he should do girls, girls, girls. He'll do girls, girls, girls. I think that's crazy that he, if he don't do that. He'll ask his wife for permission. I'm sure he will.
Starting point is 00:17:47 Well, thank you, brother. So the, the, the, the, The people that he had on those albums, you think those people are going to come out like Farty, M&M, you know, Mary Jane Glide. Yes. I mean, I hope so. I mean, if he's putting all together this concert,
Starting point is 00:18:01 I think whoever was free he can get you, I think it will definitely be there. The last time he did Yankee Stadium, he bought all of those people out. I thought I was, I was looking at something recently. It was like the last time he did Yankee Stadium, he bought out Drake, he bought out Nicky, he bought out N&M, he bought out Mary. Well, Nikki's not going to be at this one. I mean, Nicky's not going on none of those albums, so it don't matter.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Michael. But Eminem and Mary, I can see that. Yep. Okay. Well, yeah, I just wanted your opinion, bro. Shout out to y'all. Shout out to the people that we don't see, the engineers, all them people. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:18:32 All that people. Absolutely. I think tickets go on sale today, right? For that Jay-Z Conson to go on sale today? I'm not sure. I believe so. All right. Thank you, brother.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Get it off your chest. 800-585-105-10. If you need the event, hit us up now. It's the breakfast club. Good morning. This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're mad or black. I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk.
Starting point is 00:18:51 I hate the way that you dress. Everything with me is blessed. Call up next. 800585-105-1. Not just me. I'm with the coach of feeling. Hello, who's this? Yo, Indy, from Newburgh.
Starting point is 00:19:04 DJ from Newburgh. What's up, brother? Get it off your chest. Hey, man. I just want to say I'm blessed. You know, even though all the world is crazy, things are going on. I wanted to shout out of the huge fan. Jess, I love you.
Starting point is 00:19:17 You're funny and tough. Thank you. I gotta tell you you gotta leave Indy alone. He's black. Thank you, sir. I don't know, bro. It's very questionable, bro. Thank you, sir. Invin ain't never seen the old lady swags, sir? They swag surfing churches, bro.
Starting point is 00:19:31 I've never seen 10,000 women swag surf before my life, so. You ain't say that. You said you ain't never see an old woman swagger. Now, I said the ages range from 75 years old to 25. They swag surf from church, envy? I have never seen anything like that. I church online, so I've never seen it like that. Swag Surf online in church.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Yo, I ain't going to like, yo, you don't just act like you'd be saying mad 75-year-olds out in Swag Surfing. You know, where? Everywhere, football games, basketball games, church. I'm going to see 9,000 people swag surfing. I don't know where I go nowadays why I don't hear Swag Surf. I was at the NASCAR event in Daytona on Saturday in the DJ play swatler. White people would be swag surfing all off beat.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Swaturfing is, I want to say it's gentrified, but it's not. That's because of TILF. It's like when white people come to a soul food around. Taylor Swift started that. Oh, my God. People started doing it. They started doing it in the football game. But to see a 75-year-old woman, doing it with a 25-year-old woman.
Starting point is 00:20:26 That's the highlight of my. NBee did you say Taylor Swift started to make sure for a way. That's what I started saying. Yo, Uncle Charlotte. Yes, sir. Let me holler at you. Look, envy, I'm going to stick up for you. Charlotte, he's black.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Thank you, sir. Envy, I read your book. Ain't no man. I never heard of a Mexican-Spanish dude stalking his wife and then gets on the phone with her and gives her ultimatum. He's black. First of all, I don't like that. I don't like what you just did just now.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Okay. Yes. Well, he definitely did that way. I don't like what you did just now. I don't know if that helped me, but thank you, sir. Hey, look, look, I'm just supporting you, Mv. That's all. Yeah, I just want to say, I'm saying, I love you guys.
Starting point is 00:21:03 You guys get me through the day. I've been going through a lot lately. So I just want to say, thank you guys for all that you do. Hey, can ask you a question? I've been going through the ranger. Yeah. I'm sorry that you're going through all that, but are you black? No, man.
Starting point is 00:21:17 I'm black. Oh, okay. How are you going to do that? You know, I'm having problems, you know, I'm stressed out. You know what? He's like he just started talking like he's trying to get in the money. Look, I'm not off the finish probation. My mom put up my lawyer fees.
Starting point is 00:21:33 I got to pay her back 20 grand. I caught a case, so I'm black. I'm finishing out my probation. Why do you keep doing that? Why do you keep correlating all of the wrong things in the world? He said, I caught a case. I'm black. That's a black.
Starting point is 00:21:47 By DJ, man. Get it off your chest. 800, 585, 105. What's up, Lauren? For my mom. This is for your mom. Thank you. She's going to call you. She'll say, thank you, DJ. There's a whole bunch of things in there for Mom Duke.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Really? Yes. Well, that or last to her year. So Mom Duke's just, salute to the vault. She don't play with that. My brother will take them. No, my brother will take them. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:22:07 All right, for Mom Dukes. All right. Salute to the vault. Yes, thank you, the vault. You got the latest with Lauren coming up? We do. So Cameron and Jay Cole sat down for an interview. And we have exclusive audio from the interview.
Starting point is 00:22:17 It hasn't dropped yet, but people will be able to hear first some of the things that they get into. And it gets, they get into the conversations. Okay. All right. We'll get into that next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. You're talking LL.
Starting point is 00:22:29 Cool, babe. Yeah. I'm not dumbing myself down. I'm being myself. That source is must. I'm the home guy that knows a little bit about everything and everything. Lauren. The little brown girls look at you and go, I want to be like you.
Starting point is 00:22:42 Take me through that. Take me through that. Where she's going? The latest with Lauren Rose. on the breakfast club. L.L. Cool, man. Talk to me. Okay, so, good morning, guys, first of all.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Good morning. So, Jay Cole sat down for an interview with the Desca for Apple Music, but at the same time over the weekend, it was revealed that him and Cameron finally had there sit down 101. And the reason why this was like such a, oh, shoot, moment was because there was the issue about Cameron filing a lawsuit, claiming that Jay Cole owed him an interview for a verse that he did, It was supposed to be in return, and that didn't happen.
Starting point is 00:23:19 So now they finally, you know, had their moment. So we're going to talk about the Cameron interview first because that hasn't aired yet. It will air Wednesday on YouTube at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time via Talk with Flea. But I got some advanced exclusive clips from the conversation. So let's get into that. So they have a conversation about just where like Jay Cole's relationship is now with Drake and Kendrick following all of the beef. Let's take a listen. You've had your relationship with Kendrick and Drake stretch back.
Starting point is 00:23:49 No, that's not it. Can you play? Let me see, I was labeled. That was in a Jessica's interview. Was this live radio, guys? I know. Yes. I mean, we're just sitting here, you know, killing a little bit of time
Starting point is 00:24:01 to do something that should have already been produced. Why can't I? Oh, my God. What are you looking for? I'm looking for my list. Thank you, NB, yes. Personally, where you at with them, friendship-wise, today? I'm in the same place.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Right. You know what I mean? Where it's like, y'all, I, I genuinely love these but I'm not going to act like we've been communicating and talking you know what I mean. I've had conversations with them
Starting point is 00:24:22 like post everything you know what I mean but it's not like it's a lot but that's just that's me not knowing where they at me may be assuming because I don't heard X, Y, Z but it has nothing to do
Starting point is 00:24:32 with like how I actually feel I genuinely love these n-a-k I'd be wanting to show off a text and even saying that on the mic is kind of lame to me but it's just it is my truth I promise you I watched in the desk an interview
Starting point is 00:24:44 and you know I had left with more questions and answers and that was one of the questions because you know I saw Jay Cole saying how his wife cried when he's quashed to be with Kendrick but I just wanted to know what's their relationship like with Kendrick? Yeah because I'm glad Cam asked that.
Starting point is 00:24:59 Yeah and the interview with Nadeska she does, toward the end of the interview they kind of get to it but they like cut out a lot of his answer in the Nadeca's interview. So now let's take a listen to Jay Cole and Cameron talking about the fact that Jay Cole felt like everything that happened
Starting point is 00:25:15 after he backed out of the beef. It got out of hand and it was this like orchestrated attack on Drake. Let's take a listen. Do you think that the Drake and Kendrick thing got totally out of here? Right away, the world became like politics. Either Kendrick or you Drake. When I felt like this, I was like disgusted both ways damn near.
Starting point is 00:25:31 That's definitely not my place to say. I'm my shit. I apologize. But I think the out of hand that I think is like, to me it's like disgusting how people try to use that opportunity, either show how they really felt about Drake the whole time. Right. Or just like pile on. That's a fact.
Starting point is 00:25:46 And tear this dude down. like create a narrative as if he's not great. It was a whole campaign and probably still is to this day of like belittling and tearing down what this dude built as if it was some shit we have never seen. Just like when I see Kendrick get up, get the moment he had, the pop out, the stadium, the Super Bowl,
Starting point is 00:26:03 the Grammys. The Grammys. I'm just as proud of this as I was when I knew him back then. But I also hate, I hate that for Drake. I'm over here like, man, I hope Iceman go crazy. I mean, even, the vice man goes crazy and still won't take away the fact that he just lost the rap battle. Yeah, he lost the rap battle.
Starting point is 00:26:22 But Jake, he got his ass kid to the rap battle. What Cole is saying outside of that, yeah, he lost the rap battle, but the fact that all these different people came on piling on top of them, you know what I mean, people had never liked them that they showed their true colors when he was at his quote unquote lowest. That's what he said. But I think in that conversation, because some of those people when it came out, I mean, they took the moment to do it,
Starting point is 00:26:43 but some of those people said that they had legitimate reasons. Like people were saying that there were things happening behind the scenes that they didn't like. And then I want to correct like the lowest. When you say lowest, now I understand like is no, it's literally just him losing a rat beat. He was getting his ass kick. He was getting his ass kick.
Starting point is 00:26:57 I mean, but by Kendrick. Yeah, and then everybody jumped on top of it. Every artist that didn't like him was throwing verses at him. Yeah, he got his ass kick. Just because you got your ass kick by Kendrick don't mean that you at your lowest. It's a worthy ass kick. It's like if you lose a basketball game to Michael Jordan.
Starting point is 00:27:11 You know what I'm saying? You are poor. You're supposed to get your assing. Absolutely. If you were the one, we'd have been like, damn, Drake. Okay. And people still might have
Starting point is 00:27:18 I took them. I think even if he had won, people still might have took the moment to be like, all right, you won, but like here's how I feel because I just think at that time it was a conversation
Starting point is 00:27:25 about let's pull back the veil and have conversation about it. Very hard to do that when somebody wins. He was never going to win that battle. But I will say this though, I love how Jay Cole and Cameron set it up. Cameron was doing his podcast
Starting point is 00:27:39 and Jay Cole walked in and was like, yo, bro, really? A lawsuit? You're going to file a lawsuit on me? I just thought it was the last clip I'm going to play that. The last clip I'm going to play from interview because I want people to actually go and watch an interview on Wednesday on YouTube
Starting point is 00:27:49 talk with flea at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time is them actually addressing the lawsuit conversation which is what they teased in the in that intro let's take a listen. Let's just get the elephant out the room. When you first seen the lawsuit, what was your emotion when you see you? Yo, I was like, I ain't going to lie. I was like hurt almost disappointed like because I got so much respect for you. And I look at you like, like I know you are as a stand-up person. You know what I mean? When a lawsuit come out, I'm like, come on, Cam. You really could have. hit me. Like, although it was taking a long time, I don't give a fuck if you would have called me and been like,
Starting point is 00:28:20 yo, you could have scraped on me, we could have argued, boom, boom. I would prefer that. And my first thought was like, fuck it did. Like, like, I didn't even know. I was still going to come to his show. And it's like misinformation the lawsuit itself, but now, I get it, though. Let me put myself in his shoes. Like, yo, I feel like he was getting the runaround. And Kammine is
Starting point is 00:28:38 probably like, I seen this movie before. You don't with me. You don't want to do the favor. You're trying to drag me out until I don't want to do it no more. I ain't bet. I said, still set in my mind, I was like, yo, I'm still going to see Cam. And which, of course, it was never going to go nowhere, but for me, it was more like, I need to get this
Starting point is 00:28:54 attention. Cam wasn't wrong. Business is business. You know, and I'm glad Cole is a man of integrity who, you know, ultimately showed up. Look at it from both sides. Yeah, that's, that's a shit of. Now we also know how Cole feels about Drake and his lawsuit against Kendrick then. Because if you feel that way about Cameron lawsuit,
Starting point is 00:29:10 then you must be disgusted by Drake filing a lawsuit against Kendrick over a rap battle. I hope that conversation comes up. one day if Cam makes them that. Yeah, hopefully it will come up. It wasn't in the clips that I had, though. But again, that is going to interview.
Starting point is 00:29:23 That interview is going to air YouTube talk with Fiat 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time Wednesday. We have one more clip, but I have to wrap. So we'll bring it back in the, they're telling me to wrap. You got, if you want to play it, you can play now. You might as well stay with it. How long is the, first of all? How long is the J-Cole Dreamville Fest apology?
Starting point is 00:29:41 I think you should wrap. You got a minute. You got a minute. And then, so you're on the stage at Dreamville Fest. What was going through? mind in the five seconds before you made the apology. Was it something that you had really thought of and planned? It hit me an hour before. But before that, before that I was stressing the fuck out. But in the moment that the idea came to me, I lifted and I got light and I got excited because I felt
Starting point is 00:30:02 like I misrepresented myself. You know what I mean? It's like all of a sudden, I'm giving life to division into a negative storylines. Canadian women are looking for more. The writer who thought up Willie Wonka, Matilda, and the BFG. But did you know he was also a spy? Was this before he wrote his stories? It must have been. Our new podcast series, The Secret World of Roll Doll,
Starting point is 00:30:52 is a wild journey through the hidden chapters of his extraordinary, controversial life. His job was literally to seduce the wives of powerful Americans. What? And he was really good at it. You probably won't believe it either. Okay, I don't think that's true. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:31:06 I was a spy. Did you know Doll got cozy with the Roosevelt's? Played poker with Harry Truman and had a long affair with a congresswoman. And then he took his talent, to Hollywood, where he worked alongside Walt Disney and Alfred Hitchcock before writing a hit James Bond film. How did this secret agent wind up as the most successful children's author ever?
Starting point is 00:31:26 And what darkness from his covert past seeped into the stories we read as kids. The true story is stranger than anything he ever wrote. Listen to the secret world of Roll Dahl on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Why hasn't a woman formerly participated in a Formula One race weekend in over a decade? Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age. What can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year? He still smelled of podium champagne and expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Wagageddon change the paddock forever?
Starting point is 00:32:04 That day is just seared into my memory. I'm culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman, and these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on no grip. a Formula One culture podcast that dives into the under-explored pockets of the sport. In each episode, a different guests and I will go deeper into the wacky mishap, scandals and sagas, both on the track and far away from it, that have made F1 a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to no grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Bailey Taylor, and this is It Girl.
Starting point is 00:32:47 You may know me from my It Girl series I've done on the streets of New York over the years. Well, I've got good news. I am bringing those interviews and many more to this podcast. Yes, we will talk about the style and the success, but we are also talking about the pressure, the expectations, and the real work with the women's shaping culture right now. As a woman in the industry, you're always underestimated. So you have to work extra hard and you have to push the narrative
Starting point is 00:33:10 in a way that doesn't compromise who you are in your integrity. You know, I like to say I was kind of like a silent ninja. Each week, I have unfiltered conversations with female founders, creatives, and leaders to talk about. about ambition, visibility, and what it really takes to build something meaningful in the public eye. Because being an it girl isn't about the spotlight, it's about owning it. I think the negatives need to be discussed and they need to be told to people who maybe don't do this every day just so they know what's really going on. I feel like pulling the curtain back is important. Listen to it girl
Starting point is 00:33:40 with Bailey Taylor on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Starting point is 00:34:14 And I find a lot of people with strong placements in Aquarius are misunderstood. A son and Venus and Aquarius in her seventh house spark her unconventional approach to He really has taught me to embrace people sleeping in different rooms, on different houses, and different places, but just an embracing of the isness of it all. Starting point is 00:34:53 negative perceptions on somebody that I f*** with and got love for in a very loud manner. You said some shit you didn't believe in. Now you got the opportunity to go on the bigger form. You know what I mean? A bigger stage is being live streamed and say something that you believe in. Told my wife, she's the only one I told. I ain't telling him why else. I'm like, yo, this one about to go do.
Starting point is 00:35:10 She start crying because she know how I feel about him. And she saw how it was weighing on me the two, three days before that. She could see. So when I go and do it, I felt even better than I felt knowing I was going to do. Because now the world knows how I really actually. That's from the Death thing. And, you know,
Starting point is 00:35:28 here's my thing. If it was weighing on coal so much after the fact, right? Him dissing Kendrick. Why was it so easy for you to dis Kendrick? Probably was in the moment. But still, if it's weighing on you so much after the fact and your wife knows you stressing and blah, blah, blah,
Starting point is 00:35:44 what about when you was writing the boss? What about when you went in the booth to record? Probably was an emotional play. Probably was an emotional thing. He got right to it. And then when he did it, was like, I didn't know. We could have to do that. because he talked about it.
Starting point is 00:35:55 He said that it was the pressure from the outside. He felt like if he didn't respond, he couldn't put the fallout out because people would have been like, nah, we're not trying to hear that. You were supposed to respond. But then he responded and apologized, and it was the same effect. People were like, we don't want to hear you anymore.
Starting point is 00:36:06 People do things in a moment. You know what I mean? He just responded, wrote the raps in a moment, and then was like, ah. That's a lot in the moment. In the moment to sit down, write a rap, going to booth, record it, listen to it, mix it.
Starting point is 00:36:18 You know what I mean? Like, that's not for the moment. Yeah. You had a long time to think about whether not you should put this out. So if it weighed on you so much after the fact, why didn't weigh on you so much while you was doing it? So you don't believe him.
Starting point is 00:36:29 You don't believe him. The weighing on him? No, I'm just asking a simple question. That would have been my question back to him. Like, if it's weighing on you so much after the fact, it didn't weigh on you before you did all of that. Or did he warn him to apologize. There was no response to the time.
Starting point is 00:36:44 No, no, no, he had just went out. No, he had just went out. But yeah, so that was the, from the Descas interview, which is now live on Apple. You could take a listen to that. listen to that. And the other clips are from Camarons Talk with Fleet, which will be live on Wednesday on YouTube. All right. When we come back, we got front page news and then Dr. Umar will be joining us. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ NV. Jace hilarious. Sholomey and the
Starting point is 00:37:04 guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get back in some front page news. We want to start off with some NBA news. Salute to Kevin Duran. He passed Michael Jordan for the fifth on the scoring. He's fifth on the scoring list as of right now. He scored 27 points. And now that gave him 32, 294 points, which is two more than Michael Jordan. I'm just letting y'all know. I'm going to be the 75-year-old man looking at these lists letting y'all know that none of these people were better than Michael Jordan.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Okay, I don't care where Michael Jordan ranks on the all-time scoring list. Nobody above him was better than him. Okay? All right. What's up, Amy? I agree. Good morning, M.B., Josh Elamane,
Starting point is 00:37:40 how y'all doing this Monday morning? Good morning. Good morning. Peace, Mimi. Good morning. So we start this hour with a developing story out of New York. That's where a deadly accident
Starting point is 00:37:49 on the runway of LaGuardia Airport is now causing major travel disruptions across the regions. So officials say that Air Canada, a jet, it collided with a port authority fire truck late last night while the plane was landing. The pilot and the co-pilot, they were killed in the crash. Officials say 41 passengers and crew members, they were taken to the hospital. 32 passengers have since been released. Others were seriously hurt. And the plane was arriving from Montreal, and there were 72 passengers and four crew members,
Starting point is 00:38:20 aboard. Investigators say the fire truck was responding to a separate incident and had permission to be on the runway, but for reasons still under investigation, the plane and the vehicle ended up in the same place at the same time. I believe we have some audio from the air
Starting point is 00:38:36 traffic controller when they were trying to warn the plane to stop. Truck one in company was already tower requesting to cross for at Delta. Truck one company crossed for Delta. Truck one and company crossing for a Delta. Frontier
Starting point is 00:38:52 41.95 to stop there, please. Stop, stop, stop, stop, truck on. Stop, stop, stop. Stop, truck one. Stop. Stop. Stop. So what happened? Like, did the fire truck not hear him? No, but first he said, go ahead. First he said, yeah, you're clear to run to go across the runway. And then he said, maybe they didn't hear him, maybe they turned them off. But at first he said they were clear. That's why I asked you earlier if the shutdown affects air traffic control, because it seems like they didn't have everything together.
Starting point is 00:39:19 It was no communication. Yeah. I mean, it wasn't good communication. Yeah. Well, that is also under investigation. The nose of the plane was sheared off and the fire truck, it overturned. And LaGuardia Airport is now shut down to at least 2 p.m. Eastern, and that impact is already spreading. More than 400 flights have already been canceled, and officials are warning of major delays, road closures, and traffic around the airport. Now, LaGuardia is one of the busiest airports in the country with hundreds of flights a day. So this disruption is expected to affect travel across the northeast today.
Starting point is 00:39:50 This crash also comes, of course, as airports across the country, like you just mentioned, NV, are already dealing with TSA shutdowns, long line, security tied to the government shutdown. The National Transportation Safety Board is now sending a team to investigate. Now, what caused this crash? And, of course, this is still developing this morning, and investigators are now working to figure out exactly how this crash happened. I wonder how soon are we going to start seeing a lot of airports start closing down. Yeah. Yeah. Well, it depends. I think we talked earlier last week about how smaller airports we're going to start closing down. And so, you know, this is just having a ripple effect everywhere. I know we talked during the first government shut down that the air traffic controllers, they were under employed so they were short-staffed. And so, you know, who knows what this investigation will turn up. That's what I mean, between staffing shortages and then people just simply not feeling safe, you know, I mean, between the ICE agents at the airport, between, you know, things like we're just. we just heard with this crash, like people are just not going to feel safe
Starting point is 00:40:51 to want to fly if it's not an emergency. What's the point? Yeah, but the problem is, is so many people move around. That need to fly for work. Yeah, like you said, so I don't know if you cannot not fly. Like, you know, people could say, well, I don't want to. I might not go on vacation.
Starting point is 00:41:04 I might take a vacation where I could drive, but those airports stay busy. And I'm super surprised at an airport like LaGuardia that has so much going on that that wasn't covered. But that's very scary. And rest of the peace of those two pilots. Absolutely. And in other major news this morning,
Starting point is 00:41:19 a decision out of Washington is raising serious concerns about who controls the local news media in America. So the FCC, they just approved a $6.2 billion merger that would allow one company, Next Star, to become the largest owner of local TV stations in the country. So to make this deal happen, the FCC had to waive its own longstanding rule that was designed to prevent one company from controlling too many local TV stations. So that rule said one company should not reach more than 39 percent of the U.S. households, and this new deal would allow NextAR to reach as much as 80% of households through stations across the country. So the deal would give one company control over more than 260 TV stations nationwide, so across 44 states, including Washington, D.C., and now eight
Starting point is 00:42:07 states, including California and New York, they are suing to try and stop the merger, saying that it could raise cable prices, cut local newsroom jobs, and put too much power over local news into the hands of one company. Here's California Attorney General Rob Bonta explaining what could happen. The deal is illegal under the Clayton Act, a federal law which prohibits mergers that substantially lessen competition or tend to create a monopoly. Mega mergers in broadcast media are especially dangerous because they result in less choice in content across broadcast channels, the main source of local TV that can reach every home in the country. That means fewer journalists keeping a check on public institutions and people in power.
Starting point is 00:42:47 It means less coverage of local corruption, of local schools and hospitals, less investigative journalism, less accountability, less public awareness. Despite all the facts I just laid out in early February, President Trump tweeted, get that deal done. In Trump's words, he wants to knock out the fake news. And because our president makes policy decisions by social media, his FCC chairman Brendan Carr immediately posted in response, let's get it done.
Starting point is 00:43:14 urging this unlawful deal through, Trump is yet again, making it clear that he's more concerned with protecting greedy corporate interests than defending consumers, protecting a competitive economy, or making life more affordable for American families. Yet again, showing the lengths he'll go to silence news coverage that does anything but fan his ego. This is, yeah, this is also part of a larger trend that we're seeing right now. We're very wealthy investors are buying up more and more media companies, TV stations and networks, concentrating more media power into fewer hands. You know what's scary me and me?
Starting point is 00:43:49 I see a lot of Democrats say things like when we get back in power, we're going to break all of this stuff up. And what's scary is these people that are doing these deals, well, first of all, the administration is moving like they don't plan to leave. And I don't think these corporations and the people that are doing these deals, if they thought another administration was coming in to break them up, I don't think they would be doing them.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Yeah. So they know something. Everybody really needs to look alive to, you know, where this country is headed. Absolutely. I know I went off on a rant on Friday when we talked about this, but I think people really need to understand what's happening here. Your local news media now is going to be
Starting point is 00:44:24 controlled by one company, which means everybody's going to be reporting on the same thing, and it's going to be almost similar to state-sponsored media. So it's very important to pay attention to what's happening right before our very eyes. Well, that is your front-page news, guys. I'm Mimi Brown. Follow me.
Starting point is 00:44:40 I'm Mimi Brown TV. For more stories, follow the Black Information Network. Thank you, Mimi. Thank you. Thank you. All right. When we come back, Dr. Umar will be joining us. We're gonna kick it with Dr. Umar, so don't go anywhere. It's the breakfast club.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Good morning. Morning, everybody is T.J.N.V. Just hilarious. Sholameen, the guy. We are the breakfast club. Laurel Roses here as well. We got a special guest in the building. The Prince of Pan-Africanism has returned to the breakfast club.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Dr. Umar is back. Glad to be back. Glad to be back. Glad to be back. How you feel? It's been a while since I saw y'all. Uh, what happens? since then. Number one, I got my Ghanaian citizenship last January. In fact, the president
Starting point is 00:45:19 of Ghana will be at Temple University next week, so I'm going to check him out. I debated Elon must father at the Oxford Union. Okay, I won that. That was easy work. I was a little disappointed, though, because the host group at Oxford Union, they really kept me in the dark about what was going down. I found out the night before the debate that I was debating Elon Musk's father and only found that out because I spoke at Manchester University. And so we're going to eat at the African restaurant when we get out of there. And they say, you're ready for your debate with Elon Musk's father tomorrow? I said, what you're talking about?
Starting point is 00:45:52 I'm not debating the Elon Musk's father. They pulled out the flyer. Nobody told me that I was going to debate Elon Musk's father. So I didn't really appreciate that. It was bitter sweet. I mean, of course I destroyed him. But had I knew I was going against him, I would have been even more ready. When you stay ready, you don't got to get ready.
Starting point is 00:46:08 Yeah, but still, that's like me inviting you to Africa. You know what I mean to do a debate? And I never tell you who you're going to debate. You know, so that was a little shady. You know what I mean? But it was still a good experience. Y'all know Malcolm X debated at the Oxford Union. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:46:21 So that Pan-African Connect. And on Frederick Douglass's birthday, we completed the renovations at FDMG. So we're completely done. So the school is done. School is done. Congratulations. We're just trying to get an inspection now. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:35 The problem is the building inspector for our district is not really a Dr. Umar supporter. I never heard him say that But based on the way he's interacted with me The past seven years He's never really been a support You know and we did a walkthrough Through the building about a week ago
Starting point is 00:46:53 Some of his comments was Didn't really make sense to me So we got to deal with him So for example The HVAC was done and inspected like three years ago So during the walkthrough he says You have to get a balancing report I said, what is that?
Starting point is 00:47:10 He said to make sure that all the VAVs that release the air are releasing at the same time. I said, but we didn't already did our inspection for HVAC two, three years ago. We didn't pass that. So you're taking me back to something. We didn't already pass. So it's a shame, you know what I mean? But he's the holdup now because he said he was going to get back in touch with me. It's been almost two weeks.
Starting point is 00:47:31 I ain't heard from them yet. And remember during the summer, they tried to sell the school behind my back. Right? So I get a phone call. they say, yo, they're about to sell your school. I said, what are you talking about? We own this. They said, nah, there's a sign on the door at the school.
Starting point is 00:47:46 So I call somebody down in Delaware. I said, can you get the paperwork off the door? They didn't email it to me. They didn't mail it to me. So they took it. What happened was the haters, so we got two schools. The haters took the paperwork off the high school. They sent it to YouTube.
Starting point is 00:47:59 So YouTube, the haters, the struggle streamers is doing what they do to get their little two views, right? So then my supporters is like, yo, they're about to sell your school. But you know, they lie so much. I didn't believe it. So I said, but let me send somebody down anyway. They went across the street, had another set of the paperwork. They sent it to me. If you don't pay this $40,000 in two weeks, we sell in the buildings.
Starting point is 00:48:20 What? I ain't heard nothing from the city for like five months. So I'm like, wait a minute. Y'all could have been told me this. And when they tried to sell to school, it was at the very time that we had just got debanked from citizens. So we get a letter to the mail from citizens saying we're not doing business with y'all no more. I'll call citizens. I said, why you're not doing business with us no more?
Starting point is 00:48:40 They never tell me. They don't have to tell us. First, they told me they was doing the research. So I thought they thought the financial mismanagement, because they always said, we stole the money. So I said, okay, they're going through the go through it. You know what I mean? But then they hit me back and say, no, with something else,
Starting point is 00:48:51 I said, so what? So they're running me around for a whole month. And then finally, I get the letter saying you debanked. And from what I was told, they don't really have to tell you why. But Donald Trump, who I don't support, but he did sign something recently because Kanye West got debanked.
Starting point is 00:49:07 He signed something. something recently where you said they cannot debank you for your political positions and beliefs or something like that. So I might have a lawsuit against them because the only justification they can have for doing that is for me being who I am. You feel me? Because the paperwork wasn't in line. You know what I mean? So they tried to sell to school while we didn't have access to the money. So what was the $40,000 at you old? Was it taxes? Okay. So there's something called vacant property registration fee. So every year that you're not open, you have to pay like $1,500. But they jumped it up to like $7,000 now. Right?
Starting point is 00:49:38 So anyway, I wanted them to post date when I applied for the, you get a four year waiver if you are non-profit. So I say if they apply this four-year waiver back, we don't owe nothing because it was only four years, right? So I'm trying to get them to post-date it. They say, we'll let you know. So I'm waiting for them to let me know. If you ain't going to do it, say that. I'm waiting on them. They never tell me no.
Starting point is 00:50:01 And the next thing they know, they're trying to sell the school when we ain't even got access to the money. But all praise be to the most high, we was able to get the. money, stave that off. We got a new bank account, Black Bank, we good. You know what I find interesting, Dr. Umar? People would like to say you a scammer, right? And I say Dr. Umarer has the school. The school is there.
Starting point is 00:50:19 I don't mind the allegations, but show proof. But the school is there. They can't say you didn't use the money. For seven years. To buy the building, the renovated, and all of that type of stuff. But I have heard people say he'll never get accreditation. Well, here's the thing. You don't need accreditation to be an independent school.
Starting point is 00:50:35 You follow what I'm saying. Accreditation is a very, voluntary process. On a university level, it's a little bit more mandatory. But for grade schools, your right to operate comes from the State Department of Education. So I can voluntarily go and get some white people
Starting point is 00:50:50 and ask them what they think about my black school. But being Dr. Umar If I tuned, I don't really care about the opinions of anybody outside of my community, so we won't be doing that. So if Charlotte May said, you know what, I don't want to send my school to my child to FDMG, because they're not accredited, then send them somewhere else. Because I know what we're about to do. We're about to change the whole game.
Starting point is 00:51:06 You think the State Department of Education or I will agree. Why not? I got all the credentials of any white person. In fact, I probably got more credentials than any of white person,
Starting point is 00:51:13 so why not? Because you black. And then you're about to shake it up and there may be some difficulties along the road, but the biggest thing that's going to alleviate a lot of that, we are not a government-funded charter school.
Starting point is 00:51:26 We are an independent tuition base if you don't pay, they don't come. So remember, the school we have was a charter school. I used to be principal at a charter school. I used to be vice principal at a charter school.
Starting point is 00:51:37 And there's so many hoop you got to jump through in order to keep that funding, it ain't really worth it to me. It's too much. It's too much. And so for me, I'm glad we went the way that we went. It's the first school in American history built exclusively by donations from African people from around the world.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Every single continent, nearly every country donated to FDMG. So what are you going to be opening the doors where students can start? Well, we got to get a certificate occupancy. I can't answer that. You feel me? See, it's always something holding me. If we had it right now, I'm confident we can start August, not this year, because you only got a few months, but of 2027. You feel me?
Starting point is 00:52:14 But the question becomes, here we go again. We're completely done. How long before you give us our paper so we can start planning for the children? I can't answer that. And with the children, what is your, what do you think as far as, I guess, attendance? Is it going to be paid? Is it going to be free? Tuition.
Starting point is 00:52:28 They got to pay. You don't pay. They don't come. And it's not going to be an issue for us because, number one, my popularity. my expertise, but also the demand. Where we are, if you look at the statistics for black children in Wilmington, if you go across the border and look at the educational statistics for black children in Chester, right? If you go across the border to New Jersey and look at the statistics for black children in southern New Jersey or northern Maryland, it ain't great.
Starting point is 00:53:00 You follow me. So the parents in that area, they're looking for an alternative to the charter school system. that's always expelling their kids, to the public school system, he ain't teaching their kids, to the Catholic school system who always looking for a reason not to allow their children in, and we're going to be just that. So what happens when the schools are open, right, all over globally? I become the superintendent. I mean, I fall back.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Right. You're the principal in Detroit, hypothetically. He's the principal in Chicago. He's the principal in Jamaica. Envy the principal in London. You feel me? Yeah. And then I become the superintendent.
Starting point is 00:53:30 That's my vision. But, okay, so even with that setup, right, you're still, Dr. Umar, super popular. and the space that you're in, the darts and the controversy is still going to keep coming your way and that'll trickle down into the schools. Like, what's your plan
Starting point is 00:53:42 to fight back against that? Now, remember now, you're right, right? But if you're producing a well-educated learner, I mean, you still get your darts, but that's because of who I am. But if we have a product that shows these kids are learning
Starting point is 00:53:56 and they pass in these white men tests, we're good. You see what I'm saying? The parents are concerned about the quality of education. They're not concerned about who like or who do not like Dr. Uma. And to be honest with you, because
Starting point is 00:54:07 I am who I am, and we're educating children to benefit our race. It's our race we are concerned about, not the outsiders. Now, if a white person want to send a white kid to the school, we'll consider it. If the Latinos want to send a Latino kid to the school, we'll consider it, but you better understand, we teach
Starting point is 00:54:23 an African spirituality here. So if you see Harriet Tubman floating down the hallway, don't get mad at me. If you had multiple schools, I don't know what they would criticize you for, Dr. Dumas. I really don't. Because the criticism was not based on truth. They're not after the truth. They want to slander
Starting point is 00:54:39 you because they cannot replace you. I wanted to ask you know, when you look at all these these artists, athletes, these black people riding for Donald Trump, asking Donald Trump, what's your thoughts? What's the first thing to come to your mind? Absolutely insane.
Starting point is 00:54:56 Like when you see, you're either a coon or you're politically uneducated. Donald Trump has spent the entire first three months of this term, eliminating as much black history as he possibly can. He then signed executive orders where you can't teach about slavery. You can't teach about racism.
Starting point is 00:55:14 He came down to Philly and had them stripped down all the history about the enslaved Africans that George Washington owned. And it wasn't until the good mayor of Philadelphia, Shirel Parker, she sued him in court and forced him to put it back up. He went into the Smithsonian Museum in D.C. and made them take down all kinds of exhibits. He hates black people. He hates black people.
Starting point is 00:55:35 He is going to go down in history as one of the most anti-black. And all of it was anti-black, even Obama, in my opinion. But he's going to go down in history as one of the five times most anti-black presidents in American history, and he's doing it on purpose. So how a black person still supports Donald Trump, especially after he eliminated DEI, which he struck out the day he got inaugurated. Donald Trump eliminated DEI on inauguration day. He didn't even go home and have dinner.
Starting point is 00:56:05 He cut it out. And as a result of that, 300,000 black women lost their jobs. And we talked about this before, I told you, there's really no black middle class. There's only haves or have not. The black middle class is a creation of the government. What do I mean by that? Teachers, police, firemen, the post office, you feel me? Government jobs.
Starting point is 00:56:24 White capital don't hire black people. So if the government don't hire college educated black people, there is no middle class. And that's why when he eliminated DEI, you saw the middle class fell right out. Because there is no black middle class. That is a myth. The government created the black middle class, and Donald Trump just eliminated it. And we got to stop being suckers, Jess,
Starting point is 00:56:43 by listening to what people say and look at who financed them. All you got to do is look at who financed them. Look at Donald Trump. Who's Donald Trump top campaign contributors, Envy, Elon Musk, Merriam Edelson, one of the 50th richest people in the world.
Starting point is 00:56:59 She is a casino mogul. She's also a pro-Palestine occupation supporter, right? Guess who else donated to Donald Trump? Timothy Mellon. Have you ever heard of Carnegie Mellon University? A Mellon Bank that became Citizens Bank? That's the Mellon family. They created Gulf Oil. You ever see the Gulf G-U-L-L-F? G-U-L-L-G-L-A. Yes, Mellon. He gave Donald Trump over $100 million.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Merriam Edelson gave Donald Trump over $100 million. I think Elon Musk gave him more than $300,000. And guess who gave him a nice $25 million donation? Who? Vince McMahon of the WWF Why is that important? Because why everybody was riding
Starting point is 00:57:40 Sean Puffy Combs Vince McMahon was accused of worse things than Sean Puffy Combs Why they kept showing us the Cassie video A Puff stomping out Cassie which was wrong No man should ever put his hands on a woman But Vince McMahon was defecating on women Vince McMahon had people holding women down
Starting point is 00:57:55 And they was forcibly assaulting him Jess, it never made the TV, you know why? Because he gave Donald Trump a $25 million donation in three weeks after Donald Trump got inaugurated envy, the federal investigation into Vince McMahon disappeared. Not only that, Jess,
Starting point is 00:58:10 guess who becomes Secretary of Education and she's still there right now? His wife. She's never been a principal, a school psychologist, or nothing, but she's your secretary of education. See what $25 million will buy you? This is not a democracy.
Starting point is 00:58:24 This is a slaveocracy. It is a mediocrisy. It is a farmocracy, the rule of drugs, the rule of media, to control of black people, and it is an aristocracy. the rule of the rich.
Starting point is 00:58:34 You know, we stopped you. She's with a tall Mexican. Yo, relax over here. Listen, I got to ask you something to you. No, no, no, respectfully, because this is my sister right here. Even if she bunny hopped, I'm going to ask the ancestors. Not a bunny hopper.
Starting point is 00:58:47 Is he Mexican? He's black, too. He's Mexican? But he's more black. Okay, so one parent is what? Black. American African? African.
Starting point is 00:58:59 From the continent. Yeah, over there. You lie and the doctor, um, His father's father's side. They've gone to somewhere. You know, they... You sure? Yes, African.
Starting point is 00:59:09 And his mother is half Mexican. Black African, right? Not the white African. Yes. Yes. No, hell. I mean, got none of that. She told the other day where her daddy was from.
Starting point is 00:59:18 It was not no African. What? You told us what he was from. His father is African. Like, for real. We're like, all the down to the ground, like Dashiiki, like, you know what I'm saying? Okay. And then his mother is half Mexican.
Starting point is 00:59:31 her mother is Mexican and her father was black So you said he's 35% Yes And if I saw a picture of him I'm gonna say that's a brother Yes FV got locks He got he got
Starting point is 00:59:43 He got Fing course locks You know what I'm saying Y'all he might be like Identify as a black man full time Up and down Full time yes He won't even speak
Starting point is 00:59:54 He don't speak Spanish Nobody in my house even speaks Spanish That is true He's lying She's not true Listen to this is not true We went to a concert one time. And I liked it, brother.
Starting point is 01:00:04 He's a great brother. He walks in. Yes, he is. Don't play with him. Hey, Shalameh. That's, look, because he don't, he don't like fry food. There are people who are just chicken strips. It wasn't too much.
Starting point is 01:00:13 All yeah, it was, uh, chicken strips and, uh, fries. We don't eat fries. You know, we're trying to, you know. I'm going to take your word. Yeah. No, for real. If his father black and his mom have black. Yes.
Starting point is 01:00:23 And he identifies. Yes. He'd get a pass. He don't even, he'll, when people say Mexican, he'd be like, what? So he can. So, If he came to a Dr. Umar lecture,
Starting point is 01:00:33 if he came to a Dr. Umar lecture, he would not feel out of, out of place. Hell no, he wanted to come to one. He wanted to come today, because he knew you was coming. He was mad you didn't even come yesterday. Okay, because the next one of you black women, give your yoniverse to a non-African, I'm going to bust a gasket.
Starting point is 01:00:49 I'm tired of the bunny hopping. No ice. No rice. That's right. No spice. No sand. No salsa. Y'all know the rules.
Starting point is 01:00:58 She just got off the rice. Are you serious? Yeah. She's shit. What was she dating? What was you dating? I said, I always did it black men.
Starting point is 01:01:06 I said Travis Kelsey was cute. And now they think I like white men because I said Travis Kelsey was cute. She liked. And Travis Kelsey. That was her. Chad Hanks was never mentioned. Y'all made that up.
Starting point is 01:01:16 I said he was cute. I don't have a problem if you think they attractive. As long as you don't cross the line. I've seen attractive white girls. I've seen attractive Latino girls. You seen attractive white girls? Sure, I've seen attractive white girls. Sure, I've seen attractive white guys.
Starting point is 01:01:26 I don't say nothing. I'm black women? What do you mean? What do I? I'm just. Listen, they be in my, these white women are so narcissistic. I know. They cannot believe that there's black men who don't want them.
Starting point is 01:01:38 Right. The curvy ones, the five-five thick and the thigh, they be in my box sending me everything. But they're trying to set you up. Yes. That's what that is. It's FBI, CIA is Cash Patel. So never, like, even back in the day that you've never, never even,
Starting point is 01:01:53 because I know some black men who've like tried it. I had a white girl in college who was in love with me. Her name was Beth, and she had the fattest white center buns I've ever seen in my life. we was both psychology majors and I never bent Beth over because it's against my principles ain't no white woman on this planet
Starting point is 01:02:09 can ever say Dr. Umar had any of their honeycomb hideout Okay Shut up, Indy! Shut up, Enjee! My question is, oh, why they keep putting you and Suu Kyi like together? Y'all took those couple pictures now they said like...
Starting point is 01:02:27 Shout out to my sister Sukey who's also Wilmington, Delaware. My sister as well. She actually graduated from the school we now own when it was the Moyer Academy Black Charter School. I'd be telling people she went to school in Delaware and they don't be believing in. Suki is a friend of mine. I'm not the father of the child. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:44 She's happy and looking forward to being a mother again. And of course, I support her as her brother. Now down the line, because I don't have a son, down the line, if I need a heir to the throne, because I need a Prince of Pan-Africanism Jr., if I ain't wiped out, Suki might carry that baby Fahua. That's interesting. Because Suki is conscious. People don't know that about her either. They don't get me wrong. She would have to make some changes
Starting point is 01:03:09 to be mama of the prince, right? But Suki is very much conscious. And I'll be honest with you. If something happened to me, God forbid, she is one of the few women I know who I do think would raise my son the way I would want him to be. Do you feel me on that? Because a lot of women date us activists and us Pan-Africanist, but the minute we go to jail or something, they go get Mike, Mike and Tatee selling dope on the corner.
Starting point is 01:03:31 How did you go from a damn revolutionary to a dope boy? You see what I'm saying? I don't think Suki would do that. Like her character to me suggests that your son going to be the way you wanted him to be. When I first met her, I literally told him to this all the time. When I first met her, everything about her was super conscious. It was super like, it was so different than what she was online. So when I tell people that they're like, it's no way.
Starting point is 01:03:55 And every now and then she'll sit down and do an interview. and people will hear it and they're like amazed. I'm like, this is how she was since I've ever known her. The conversation blew me away. I couldn't believe she was the same sister from the video. You feel me?
Starting point is 01:04:08 Intelligent, brilliant. Yes. And I'm saying to myself. And so pro us. How you end up here? Very pro us. But I know, I know, I have faith in her. I have faith in sister Sukihana
Starting point is 01:04:18 and I believe that before it's all over, she's going to shock the world. How did she end up here? Was it just performing and just to get high? I don't know. I didn't ask her. I didn't ask her. But I don't think she's staying there.
Starting point is 01:04:29 I don't think she's either. She has too much inside of her that has been there from since I've ever talented. I got a lot of faith in that sister. I saw Drusky apologize to you because he was sitting there. He better apologize all those views I got him on that episode. Going to sit up here at breakfast club and tell y'all they had to get me off the set. Nigro, ain't a niggero, you know, to pull me off no set nowhere.
Starting point is 01:04:51 That episode I did with Drusky went crazy. Shout out to Drusie because he told the church about the black church. I saw him apologize because he was sitting in court side with a white woman. I didn't sweat that because I don't know if they was dating. They were dating. Oh, they are. He's a bunny hopper.
Starting point is 01:05:06 Druski, you got 500 lashes coming. I have a question about your daughter, Lisa. So that unfolded online. Yes. I was in Sweden and I'm in Sweden. I'm getting ready to speak last year now. Okay, yeah. A year last week.
Starting point is 01:05:19 And my daughter goes live and she says I'm looking. Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything. Like packing a spare stick. I like to be prepared. That's why I remember, 988, Canada's suicide crisis helpline. It's good to know, just in case. Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder anytime. 988 suicide crisis helpline is funded by the government in Canada.
Starting point is 01:05:50 You know, Roaldahl, the writer who thought up Willie Wonka, Matilda, and the BFG. But did you know he was also a spy? Was this before he wrote his stories? It must have been. Our new podcast series, The Secret World of Roll Doll, is a wild journey through the hidden chapters of his extraordinary, controversial life. His job was literally to seduce the wives of powerful Americans. And he was really good at it. You probably won't believe it either.
Starting point is 01:06:14 Okay, I don't think that's true. I'm telling you, the guy was a spy. Did you know Dahl got cozy with the Roosevelt's? Played poker with Harry Truman and had a long affair with a congresswoman. And then he took his talents to Hollywood, where he worked alongside Walt Disney and Alfred Hitchcock. before writing a hit James Bond film. How did this secret agent wind up as the most successful children's author ever? And what darkness from his covert past seeped into the stories we read as kids.
Starting point is 01:06:41 The true story is stranger than anything he ever wrote. Listen to the secret world of Roll Dahl on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Why hasn't a woman formally participated in a Formula One race weekend in over a decade? Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age. What can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year? He still smelled of podium champagne and expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Wagageddon change the paddock forever? That day is just seared into my memory.
Starting point is 01:07:20 I'm culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman, and these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on no grip, a Formula One culture podcast that dives into the under-explored pockets of the sports. In each episode, a different guests and I will go deeper into the wacky mishap, scandals, and sagas, both on the track and far away from it, that have made F1 a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to No Grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Bailey Taylor, and this is It Girl. You may know me from my It Girl series I've done on the streets of New York over the years. Well, I've got good news.
Starting point is 01:08:03 I am bringing those interviews and many more to this podcast. Yes, we will talk about the style and the success, but we are also talking about the pressure, the expectations, and the real work with the women's shaping culture right now. As a woman in the industry, you're always underestimated. So you have to work extra hard and you have to push the narrative in a way that doesn't compromise who you are in your integrity. You know, I like to say I was kind of like a silent ninja.
Starting point is 01:08:28 Each week, I have unfiltered conversations with female founders, creatives, and leaders to talk about ambition, visibility, and what it really takes to build something meaningful in the public eye. Because being an it girl isn't about the spotlight, it's about owning it. I think the negatives need to be discussed and they need to be told to people who maybe don't do this every day, just so they know what's really going on. I feel like pulling the curtain back is important. Listen to It Girl with Bailey Taylor on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 01:08:59 Hi, this is Joe Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology, natal chart. and how to step into your most vibrant life. And I just sat down with a mini driver. The Irish traveler said when I was 16, you're going to have a terrible time with men. Actor, storyteller, and unapologetic, Aquarian visionary. Aquarius is all about freedom-loving and different perspectives,
Starting point is 01:09:25 and I find a lot of people with strong placements in Aquarius are misunderstood. A son and Venus and Aquarius in her seventh house spark her unconventional approach to partnership. really has taught me to embrace people sleeping in different rooms on different houses and different places, but just an embracing of the isness of it all. If you're navigating your own transformation or just want to chart side view into how a leading artist integrates astrology, creativity, and real life, this episode is a must listen.
Starting point is 01:09:56 Listen to the Spirit Daughter podcast starting on February 24th on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcast. for my dad and I want to have a conversation with my dad. He's never been in my life and I just want to know why. And I'm sitting there watching her in Sweden, envy and I'm saying, look at my beautiful daughter, lying like the gospel. First of all, we've been in contact throughout her life by phone.
Starting point is 01:10:19 And every time I try to get to see my daughter, she never shows up. Why? Because a mother raised her to not like me. And the reason her mother raised her to not like me is her mother told me to my face. God is my witness and my ancestors are in the room. if you do not marry me, it will be both of us or neither one of us. She told me I would not be in my daughter's life. I took her to court.
Starting point is 01:10:40 I got all the paperwork, a file like this, contempt the court orders because I was in my daughter's life up until about five, six, seven. That's when the mom stepped it up, right? I guess she found a man. You know how that go. They don't want you around when a man around because he might feel insecure, so they keep you out your kid's life just to please the man, whatever the case may be. And the court would never arrest her. They would never find her.
Starting point is 01:10:58 I remember one day the judge said, y'all got the biggest file in my court. I said, Your Honor, if you punish her, maybe she'll stop keeping my daughter from me. But if I file contempt and every time I come down here, y'all don't do nothing but tell her to stop, why are she going to stop? But my daughter knows this because we've spoken before. And she texts me about once or twice a year. And every time she texts me, I want to see you when and where. In fact, since she came out last year, Envy, it's been a year, right? Guess what?
Starting point is 01:11:26 I ain't seen her yet. But you told the whole world. You want a conversation. You told the whole world You got some questions Well guess what princess Your dad even trying to meet what you face to face Since you call yourself exposing me
Starting point is 01:11:39 And I ain't seen you yet Because it was never about meeting your dad It was about becoming a struggle streamer When that Drusky episode blew up She probably said hey maybe I could skate off my dad name too And that's exactly what she did But I love my baby She's a baby I'm gonna let her
Starting point is 01:11:54 It's gonna take time I don't think she's gonna come to me Until she's out of her mama's house Because her mama don't like me You follow what I'm saying? So I just got to be patient. But I ended up in that situation. But I fought it.
Starting point is 01:12:04 I fought it. And the courts never backed me. I fought it with lawyers, without lawyers. And maybe it's just a city of Philadelphia. And there's a lot of brothers there who have backed me up. They don't do a lot to make sure you see a child. They give you the paper. I got the custody paper.
Starting point is 01:12:16 But who's going to enforce it? I can't kick in the door. You see what I'm saying? Grab a mom by the throat. Then I'm done. Right? So it's a shame. But I take full responsibility for it.
Starting point is 01:12:26 Because if I don't get pregnant, I'm not in the situation. And the one thing I say to black men is this. black women, y'all don't have to take responsibility for what y'all didn't know about a man. If your child's father does you wrong, you don't have to take responsibility for what you didn't know about him. But if we, if a woman does us wrong, we got to take responsibility for what we didn't know about her because we are the man. You follow what I'm saying? We're the leaders. I can't use the excuse that I didn't know her mother would do me like that. I didn't know her mother would do me like that. But if I don't get her pregnant, I'm not here. And so what
Starting point is 01:12:57 I try to tell the young brothers, forget the excuses. It don't matter. Are you a man or are you not? Take responsibility for your decisions. If I don't impregnate that woman, I'm not here today with this problem. How old is she? 2002, right? To 22, it was 20. She'll be 24 on May 6th.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Same day as Martin Delaney, grandfather, Pan-Africanism. You said when she gets out of her mother's house. So, like, normally at the age, kids are like college or like, like, what is she doing? Like, why is she not? I haven't spoken with her. Okay. I want to see her face-to-face. And I told her that.
Starting point is 01:13:28 I don't want to do a bunch of phone calls. You feel me? You said all this on the internet, face to face your father. And you said you want her mom in that meeting when y'all do sit down. I would have liked to, but she don't have to be. See, no, the mother, the purpose of the mom was to clarify the history. Yeah. You feel?
Starting point is 01:13:43 I want her mom to tell me to my face. I never tried to be in mind. I want her to say that to my face, right? That was only for the history. Mom ain't going to do that because mom know I'm going to expose her. So forget mom. I don't mean that disrespectfully, right? I'm just saying it's for me and my daughter.
Starting point is 01:13:57 She's 24. She will be God willing. It's time for us to do what we. got to do that. I want to end on this note, Dr. Hummel because I always think people give you a lot of flak. One thing they can't say about you, you love black people. And I'm consistent. You love black people. Oh, we didn't even talk about the FBI Adolfs thing. Maybe next time. Next time. Okay. But if anybody got to reach me, 215-9-89-9-8-58, that's 215-9-9-8. And if you need to email me, Prince of Pan-Africanism at g-mail.com,
Starting point is 01:14:27 We spell Africa with a K, not a C. Prince of Pan-Africanism at gmail.com, spell Africa with a K, black power. Well, ladies and gentlemen, Dr. Dumas. Appreciate you for joining us. Appreciate y'all. It's the breakfast club. Good morning. Let's get right to the latest.
Starting point is 01:14:40 Yeah. I'm not dumbing myself down. I'm being myself. That source is trust. I'm the homeguard that knows a little bit about everything and everything. The little brown girls look at you and go, I want to be like you. Take me through that. Take me through that.
Starting point is 01:14:57 Where's she gone? The latest with Lauren Lewis. Take me through that. On the breakfast club. L.L. Cooleck. Talk to me. All right, guys. So at the, oh, then, what was it, Friday?
Starting point is 01:15:09 Last weekend, as we ended the show, there was something that was circulating online. There was some photos of Tyler Perry with Marlowe Hampton, formerly of Real Housewives of Atlanta. And people thought that this was a new couple alert. So there were these photos that were circulating. It was a photo. that was supposed to be real, but it was not real.
Starting point is 01:15:29 It was an AI doctored photo of Tyler Perry holding Marlowe Hampton in his arms and kissing her. This photo was not real. Wow, that was fast. Yes. Now, here's the thing. I think this AI photo got a lot of people. Like, people really believed it. There were outlets reporting that they were spotted together at this brunch, and is this a new couple seen together?
Starting point is 01:15:46 I literally just thought it was a movie. Like, they were promoting a movie? Yeah, I saw some people say promoting the movie. I saw, like, some people say that's just what happens in Atlanta. But no, the original photo was shot by, Fredio, photographer Fredio. This was the original photo. It was a doctor. They were at a brunch. Jason Lee
Starting point is 01:16:03 invited Tyler Perry there. It was Tyler Perry's first time ever even meeting Marlowe. So they're not dating. Why didn't he do a picture of Tyler and Jason Lee kissing? Why did he do Tyler and Michael? Jason Lee was sitting right there to Tyler's left. Yeah. It was. Tyler was here. Marlowe was on the right.
Starting point is 01:16:19 Drop on the beef bond for Jason Lee. Yes. Jason Lee be everywhere. Y'all ain't never there. But how come, why they didn't do that? I don't know. I have no idea. But Marlowe posted these photos on her Instagram and they just went crazy. And people were literally reporting this
Starting point is 01:16:33 as if this was a new couple of Laird. Between that picture and that picture of Justin Bieber and Usher arguing. That had y'all in a chokehold this weekend. Yeah, that's not real. That's not real either. All right, well, something that is real over the weekend. The Justin Timberlake body cam was released.
Starting point is 01:16:49 So remember I told you guys that Justin Timberlake was suing the Sadd Harbor Police Department in New York because he wanted the body cam to not come out. Well, on Friday, late Friday was announced that they came to some sort of agreement where the body can would be redacted but it would be released and it was what does that mean So basically they were worried about like some of his personal details being put out there because he's Justin Timberlake because sometimes in body cam if it's released if you just get a police record You might get information about addresses like stuff like that
Starting point is 01:17:15 So it was released there's a lot of footage from his sobriety test actually when he's detained Now let's take a listen to Justin Timberlake failing his sobriety test audio one So left on line and then you're going to put your right foot but in front of your left stage just like that. Guys, I'm just following my friends back to my house. I'm not, like, I'm not doing anything. I'm just following my friends back to my house. Will you do this, do these tests?
Starting point is 01:17:42 Sure. Sorry, I've never done this, so I'm just... Because mimic him. Here, ready? Ready? I'm a little nervous. Left? By your foot in front?
Starting point is 01:17:52 Sorry. When you do this test? Sorry, my heart is racing. By the way, these are like, these are like, really hard tests. Who knew Justin Timberlake sounds like Michael Jackson when he was like what?
Starting point is 01:18:02 Yeah. He's talking like he was about to say he at any moment. Yeah. Did he moonwalk on his sobriety test? He could barely get through the walk. That was the issue. He sounded. Yeah, no. If he would have been dancing, it would have been bad
Starting point is 01:18:14 because he could barely get through the walking that they had him doing. Now during the test, he asked if his friend could just drive his car back and basically like, all be well, I won't have to drive, just let her drive it. And they're like, no. So the friend, that's a woman, He comes up and she tries to talk to police because at this point he's in custody and she's just trying to get him his phone.
Starting point is 01:18:32 Let's take a listen to Justin Timberlake's friend. We have to make sure that your friend here is okay to drive. Could I just drive? Well, he was already operating a vehicle. So we need to make sure that he's okay. He wasn't operating a vehicle under any kind of impairment. So at this point, he's coming with us. No, he's not.
Starting point is 01:18:49 Yes. No, why? He arrested. Stop it. Don't say it. Yes. You're arresting, wrestling, definitely. Can you guys please just do me a favor because you love to buy bye bye you're like
Starting point is 01:19:04 Say me one favor let me ask him if he wants me to give him his phone She drunk too I listen they didn't they let her go and in the audio like in the video the police is saying to her like you seem okay you can drive your car home But no but I thought I didn't know if she was too not under the influence but I don't know they didn't test her Trudy is crazy. No, you're not. You're not. You cannot. I know you love bye, bye, bye, bye, bye.
Starting point is 01:19:31 Can I say something that y'all should know? Friends don't let friends drive drunk. It's okay. It's pointless to try to take the wheel after the fact, all right? You shouldn't let him drive to begin with. If you cared about him so much. Do you love bye, bye, bye? Clearly, you don't love sexy back that much.
Starting point is 01:19:46 No. You let him drive in that condition. Hello? And then there was one point where he's actually in custody and they're booking him, right? And you know what they give you the paperwork. You got to go through very. by everything is right, right?
Starting point is 01:19:56 So he's looking at the paperwork, and he's confused a bit. Go ahead. Let's listen. Take a listen number three. Dang. Shoot. White? I'm just kidding.
Starting point is 01:20:09 I'm just kidding, man. So you're being held for the night, and then in the morning is the uranium. So in the morning, usually around 9.30. It might not be this one. You might be over at the other one, and they actually have blankets for it. You guys are wild, man. Guys, I don't mean no harm. Like, I understand.
Starting point is 01:20:30 We believe you to be harder the inputs of alcohol and operating in a motor vehicle, right? Okay, but I don't mean no harm. I didn't say you did, right? Everyone makes a mistake or two in their life, right? Now, there's a lot of ways to take that, right? He looked at the paper and he goes, white?
Starting point is 01:20:44 I'm just joking. I'm just kidding. Now, it's a lot of ways to take that, right? Okay, break it down, break it down. It could be that, you know, Justin Timberlake loves black people so much that in his mind, he's black. Right?
Starting point is 01:20:54 Especially when he gets drunk. When he's drunk, he gets black. Or he could be like white. I'm just kidding. There's no way I could be white and y'all treating me like this. Exactly. That's what I thought. There's no way I could be white and y'all treating me like.
Starting point is 01:21:05 I really got to say to night. A white rich privileged man, really? But he said he gets a blankie. The same when you go to the other jail, he gets a blankie. Yo. I'm going on. I couldn't believe where he was about to sleep. But he was like here?
Starting point is 01:21:17 Here? Yeah. I'm just kidding. Yeah, that's hilarious. Yeah. So, I mean, when all this happened, we're seeing the body cam now. but just a reminder for what the final judgment on this was.
Starting point is 01:21:26 He did cut a deal. He pled guilty to a lesser charge that did not involve drunk driving or even though a criminal offense. He copped to a traffic violation and got off with. Slap on a wrist. Remember, he had to make that statement. It was some sort of plea deal situation that they came up with. So he was driving drunk.
Starting point is 01:21:41 He failed the test and they dropped the DUI? Yep, he cut a deal with that. That's crazy. And this is just coming out now because, you know, people were requesting it. But he made a whole statement following it some months ago, talking about how bad it is to drink and drive. Well, sorry, that was my computer. That's the latest.
Starting point is 01:21:58 That is crazy. Timberlake. I love Justin. Should a shout out as lawyer for doing all that. I did not know his voice was like that even though, but, you know. Stop. All right. Solomon, who are you giving your donkey too?
Starting point is 01:22:10 Well, speaking of white privilege, four after the hour, we need President Trump to come to the front of the congregation. We like to have a world with him. He needs to get his muffly donkey. Okay, all right. We'll get you that next. So don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:22:19 Good morning. Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown. of Muslims entering the United States. Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners when somebody disrespects our flag? To say, get that son of a bitch off the field right now out. He's fired. He's fired!
Starting point is 01:22:37 Please step up to the congregation. Yes, you are a doubt. When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're raping. He's a jackass.
Starting point is 01:22:52 Yeah, it's donkey today for Monday, March 23rd, goes to the 47th president of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump. Let me tell you something. I've been telling y'all all morning that I was listening to Sarah Jake Robert Sherman from last Sunday, titled God Still Kairs. Dropping a clues bond for Sarah Jake Roberts, Dem. And she talks about compassion collapse, also known as compassion fatigue. And compassion collapse is where people begin to feel less empathy. Okay, the greater the scale of the trauma. All right.
Starting point is 01:23:22 us to fight becoming numb to headlines. She challenges us to remain sensitive to both personal and global needs. The reason I'm bringing that up is because it's true. Compassion collapse. Compassion fatigue is absolutely a real thing. And we have become desensitized. There's so much. It's too much going on in the world. It's so much going on. And they want us to care for everything, but then you end up caring for nothing. Okay? The economy is messed up. People ain't got no job. Its media is falling out the sky. Ice at the airport. If I work for TSA, I'm not getting paid. We had war with Iran. It's just too much going on in the world. Okay, plus just whatever you got going on personally. But that can't make us numb to the wrong that is happening
Starting point is 01:24:02 on this planet every day on all levels. Okay. And what happened this weekend was wrong. See, former FBI director Robert Mueller passed away. He was 81 years old. Rest and peace to him. And as a special counsel, Robert Mueller probed Trump in his 2016 campaign as the leader of the Russian investigation during Trump's first term. So you know. No, Trump don't like Robert Mueller. So I didn't expect him to have anything nice to say about Robert Mueller after he passed. But a damn sure I didn't expect him to say this. I don't know why we're still surprised by anything that comes out of his mouth.
Starting point is 01:24:34 But let's go to ABC News for the report, please. A few words about Robert Mueller. Mueller, who died yesterday, is known by many as the man behind the Mueller report, which, of course, looked into Russian interference in the 2016 election. He also led the FBI for more than a decade, guiding America through the perilous period after the September. 11th attacks. But what perhaps some don't know about Robert Mueller is that he was a genuine war hero. During a time when many of his peers were trying to avoid military service, he volunteered, joining the Marines after his college roommate was killed in Vietnam. Muller served for more than a
Starting point is 01:25:12 year in combat in Vietnam, receiving a purple heart after he was shot in the leg, and he was awarded multiple times for valor, including a bronze star, and a Navy commendation medal. Donald Trump reacted to the news of his death by posting this, just minutes after it was announced. Quote, Robert Mueller just died. Good. I'm glad he's dead. That's a remarkable statement for anybody to make,
Starting point is 01:25:39 especially a president of the United States. Listen, he's keeping that same energy. Okay, if he didn't like you when you were alive, no need to pretend when you're dead. Okay, I get it. But here's the thing. I don't have to tell you everything everyone else has already told you about this.
Starting point is 01:25:52 not being presidential. I hate when people say Trump is not presidential. Why would he be? He's the former executive producer of celebrity apprentice. Okay, reality show star turned president, all right?
Starting point is 01:26:02 Whatever. All right, I'm not even going to get into the hypocrisy of saying something like this but then being upset about the people who mocked the death for Charlie Kirk.
Starting point is 01:26:09 But listen to what he said, though. Listen to what he said about that. Have you asked to start with voting the visas of the foreigners who have celebrated for the princess?
Starting point is 01:26:17 No, we haven't, we are looking at names. We don't like that. That's not right. We wouldn't celebrate if something happened on this and we don't. These are sick people. These are really deranged people. What I'm going to say, and the reason he's getting donkey today is because if, you know,
Starting point is 01:26:36 you, Donald Trump care about legacy as much as you claim to. Boy, you are really ruining yours. I mean, you've already ruined yours because you're, you know, going to go down as the worst president of all time because you don't give a damn about democracy, okay, wiping your ass with the Constitution and on pace to lead this country into the worst financial crisis of all time. But you are also, okay, putting yourself into a position that when you pass, people are going to treat it like Marty Gras in New Orleans. Okay, the celebrations folks are going to have, okay, the things people are going to say about you when you pass, Mr. President. I don't care about how many buildings you put your name on.
Starting point is 01:27:10 Bridges, tunnels. They can create holidays. None of that will matter because you have heard way too many people. And more importantly, you get back the energy you put out. Do you care? Do you care what Baron sees about you after you pass? Do you care what Melania sees about you after you pass? What about your grandkids?
Starting point is 01:27:28 I know that CNN just posted a report that said you have 100% approval rating amongst MAGA Republicans. A hundred percent of MAGA Republicans according to CNN approve of the job you're doing. Let me tell you something, man. I live in the real world and I know people who have voted for Trump three times and they are not happy with the job you're doing. So somebody's mine. Okay, seeing that, I know Skydance just bought y'all and all of y'all trying to save your job, but let me be the first to tell you, most of y'all getting fired anyway. So please go out with some integrity.
Starting point is 01:27:59 That was ridiculous. And it's polls like that that feed Trump's ego. Okay, it's people around him like that telling him everything he does is great, so much so that he's probably not even aware of the parade people are going to throw when he passes away. Okay, if you think Donald Trump's tasteless tweet towards Robert Mueller, something wait until you see social media when Trump passes okay the energy that you put out comes back to you at Cartolay everything is energy and that is all there is to it match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality
Starting point is 01:28:33 that's Albert Einstein comma comma comma comes back to you hard that's Lauren hill my point is President Trump you are teaching people how to treat you by how you treat others and we as a society should let shouldn't let any of this become so nornhill normalized that we don't take the time to simply say it's wrong. Please get President Donald J. Trump, the biggest he-ho. I know it's a lot going on in the world, and people are desensitized everything. And, you know, when you got to care about everything, you know, you end up caring about nothing. But some things you should just take the time to say, hey, young world, this is wrong.
Starting point is 01:29:14 All right. This is one of those things. All right. Well, thank you for that donkey of the day. Now, let's open up the phone lines, 8505. 585-105-1. So President Trump said he is sending U.S. immigration and customs enforcement agements to agents to airports today.
Starting point is 01:29:30 Yeah, that's another thing we got to care about. That's right. He's sending ICE agents to the airports today to help to the USA workers. A lot of TSA workers are calling out after missing paychecks. They have to find other means to pay their rent. Right away, that's the only... That's the only health TSA needs. And that's the only help TSA wants.
Starting point is 01:29:47 They're money. Their money. Their bread. That's old to them. So we're asking 800 585-105-1 What are your thoughts The fact that Trump is sending ICE Agents to quote unquote
Starting point is 01:29:56 Help TSA workers I wonder if you are you scared You know if you got to fly this week Are you need there You have anxiety about this? Like what is it? I wonder You know you know my other question is too
Starting point is 01:30:08 Because ice agents carry Well they be carrying in the airport Of course That's scary as F Just like police carry in the airport Just like military personnel carrying the airport Yes they will be carrying in the airport. It's the fact that they're going to be profiling people, you know, just prolonging.
Starting point is 01:30:23 They're not, I don't, I don't see them caring about people actually having to get to where they need to go. TSA has already stressed out. And so, y'all coming in here to make our jobs easier, y'all think? We still are getting paid. That's crazy. 800, 585105.1. Let's discuss. The Breakfast Club, good morning. Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ NV. Just hilarious.
Starting point is 01:30:56 Shalameen the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Now, if you're just joining us, we open up the phone lines 800-585-105-105. Now, Donald Trump says he is sending ICE agents to help TSA workers starting today. So because of the shutdown, a lot of TSA workers are calling out. That's because they're missing their paychecks. They got to find other means to make sure they pay their rent to pay for child care and food.
Starting point is 01:31:17 But Donald Trump says, I got you. I got the ice workers to come to the air. airport to help you guys out. What are your thoughts? I think this is the dumbest thing ever. Yeah, I think it's the dumbest thing ever. I mean, you see what ICE agents, a lot of them have done already. Abusive power. They have their
Starting point is 01:31:33 weapons. Do I want their abuse of power and with their weapons at the airport checking my ID? Telling me what they think is in my bag? Nope. Tell them trying to pronounce my last name and saying where am I from? I don't think so. Just profiling you. Yeah. And then for the TSA workers, it's like another slap in their face.
Starting point is 01:31:48 Like, yo, you're going to send more people to help us, you know, who essentially, they're the reason that we're not getting paid. We're not getting paid. You're trying to raise more money to pay them and you're sending them to the airport, make our jobs even harder, and we're still not getting paid. That's said. Gentlemen? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:06 I mean, you know, yeah, I think that, you know, the only help TSA agents need is their checks. Their money. Period. But, you know, what actually really saddens me about all this. I think it's sad watching our kids' futures in this country disappear in real time. Like, there, I don't, there's, there's no hope in sight. Like, where does this end? Because, you know, I keep hearing, you know, people talk about the midterm elections and, you know,
Starting point is 01:32:30 get, what's going to happen when, you know, Democrats get back in power. Is this administration moving like an administration that's just going to concede power? Do you know what I'm saying? If they're putting ice in airports, don't you think they're going to put ice at all the, the polling places in the midterms? Like, is nobody really seeing what's going on? can we only think for the moment. Can we think 10 steps ahead?
Starting point is 01:32:54 Yeah. Because we need to. Yeah. Well, let's go to the phone lines. We got Gio on the line. Geo, good morning. Good morning. Hey, where you're calling from?
Starting point is 01:33:02 I'm calling from Atlanta. Atlanta. What's your thoughts, Mama? So I think it's kind of weird that he's using this as an excuse. I almost feel like it's an excuse to put more ICE agents like in certain cities. Wow. Like, I live in Atlanta. And I know we've had ice around.
Starting point is 01:33:18 But now I feel like that's a, like using this. shut down and say, oh, they're going to help TSA workers. It's just an excuse to pull them into these cities even more on a, oh, well, we're there to help not as if they're not there to do what ICE has been doing. Yeah, he's testing to see what he can get away with. You know, it's a litmus test about control. And I think it's a test to see, you know, what's going to happen in the midterms. Like, okay, if I can put them in the airport and get them used to this, you know,
Starting point is 01:33:47 then once I got them around the, once I got them around the polling places, You know, come November, nobody's going to think anything up. Trying to normalize it. Hello, who's this? This, Kyle, calling out a look. How are you doing? Kyle, what's up? Talk to us, brother.
Starting point is 01:33:58 Good morning, good morning. Yeah, I believe that this is a takeover. You know, not paying the TSA agent. It's, you know, demoralizes people. So they're going to quit. A lot of them not getting fired, so, you know, the numbers start dwindling. Now they move in homeland, so transportation, no longer in control.
Starting point is 01:34:23 Homeland's in control. So if you take over the airports, now you control who's coming in and who's coming out. It's all about control, period. You're not wrong, brother. Hello, who's this? Yeah, it's Dre.
Starting point is 01:34:36 Jay, what's up? What you're calling from, brother? What's going on? I'm calling from North, man. Talk to us. Yeah, you know, with Trump sending the ICE agents over to the airports, man,
Starting point is 01:34:44 I think it's the dumbest thing in the world. How are you sending ice agents that half of them haven't even been trained at the ICE agent. Now you send them to the airports where they won't even get the proper training that TSA even have. So like, what are we doing here?
Starting point is 01:35:01 What are we doing here? These decisions that this guy's making, man, you ain't doing it but putting it by arm's way. That's right. On purpose. Yeah, all purpose. Absolutely. Like, on purpose. Thank you, brother. Thank you, brother. It makes no sense.
Starting point is 01:35:14 Like, these guys, like TSA, they go for training in Georgia for weeks and week and week. Learned how to read these machines, he's learning how to detect what's coming through these machines, things that nature. If you're sitting these ice agents over, who had none of this training, none of it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:27 800. And I want to say, too, it doesn't make it any better. You know, I was reading something that Mimi Brian posted last night, like Project 225 on page 159, it states verbatim. Until it is privatized, TSA should be treated as a national security provider, and its workforce should be de-unionized immediately.
Starting point is 01:35:46 So it talks about in Project 2025, how when it comes to TSA, they want to de-unionize it. Canadian women are looking for more. More to themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world are out of them. And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast. I'm Jennifer Stewart. But did you know he was also a spy? Was this before he wrote his stories?
Starting point is 01:36:31 It must have been. Our new podcast series, The Secret World of Roll Doll, is a wild journey through the hidden chapters of his extraordinary, controversial life. His job was literally to seduce the wives of powerful Americans. What? And he was really good at it. You probably won't believe it either. Okay, I don't think that's true.
Starting point is 01:36:49 I'm telling you. I was a spy. Did you know Dahl got cozy with the Roosevelt's? Played poker with Harry Truman and had a long affair with a congresswoman. And then he took his talents to Hollywood, where he worked alongside Walt Disney and Alfred Hitchcock before writing a hit James Bond film. How did this secret agent wind up as the most successful children's author ever?
Starting point is 01:37:09 And what darkness from his covert past seeped into the stories we read as kids. The true story is stranger than anything he ever wrote. In each episode, a different guest and I will go deeper into the wacky mishap, scandals and sagas, both on the track and far away from it that have made F1 a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to No Grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 01:38:29 I'm Bailey Taylor, and this is It Girl. You may know me from my It Girl series I've done on the streets of New York over the years. Well, I've got good news. I am bringing those interviews and many more to this podcast. Yes, we will talk about the style and the success, but we are also talking about the pressure, the expectations, and the real work with the women's shaping culture right now. As a woman in the industry, you're always underestimated.
Starting point is 01:38:50 So you have to work extra hard, and you have to push the narrative in a way that doesn't compromise who you are in your integrity. You know, I like to say I was kind of like a silent ninja. Each week, I have unfiltered conversations with female founders, creatives, and leaders to talk about ambition, visibility, and what it really takes to build something meaningful in the public eye. Because being an it girl isn't about the spotlight, it's about owning it. I think the negatives need to be discussed and they need to be told to people who maybe don't do this every day, just so they know what's really going on.
Starting point is 01:39:20 I feel like pulling the curtain back is important. Listen to It Girl with Bailey Taylor. on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, this is Joe Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life. And I just sat down with a mini driver. The Irish traveler said when I was 16, you're going to have a terrible time with men. Actor, storyteller, and unapologetic Aquarian visionary.
Starting point is 01:39:54 Aquarius is all about freedom-loving and different. different perspectives. And I find a lot of people with strong placements in Aquarius are misunderstood. A son and Venus and Aquarius in her seventh house spark her unconventional approach to partnership. He really has taught me to embrace people sleeping in different rooms, on different houses, and different places, but just an embracing of the isness of it all. If you're navigating your own transformation or just want a chartside view into how a leading artist integrates astrology, creativity and real life, this episode is a must
Starting point is 01:40:28 listen. Listen to the Spirit Daughter podcast starting on February 24th on the IHeart Radio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you listen to your podcast. Defunded and replace it with a form of ice. It says that in Project 2025. So none of this is happenstance, people.
Starting point is 01:40:46 None of it. If you're just joining us, we open up the phone lines 800-585105.151. Now, the government shutdown is affecting air travel across the country. Thousands of TSA workers are calling out after missing pay checks. They got to make means. They got to pay bills, mortgage, childcare, food. So Donald Trump said, I guess
Starting point is 01:41:04 paying them wasn't an option. So he said, I'm going to send ICE agents to the airports to help them out. And we're asking, what are your thoughts? 800-5815-105-1. Whitney? Yes. Good morning. Where are you calling from Whitney? I'm from Tilly, but I'm right now living here in Harrisburg. All right. Well, talk to us. What's your
Starting point is 01:41:22 thoughts? My thoughts is, I can't stand it, honestly. So down here in Harrisburg, they have Ice Angels just randomly walking around. But I feel like the world thinks that they're just going to stop Mexicans or people that look Mexican. No, they're going to stop black people too. They randomly stop black people around here thinking that where from, like, Africa or Nigeria, or they just harass everybody. And it's going to be worse. And I feel like it's going to stop everybody from even just trash.
Starting point is 01:41:54 I wanted to take my kids to a Disney World vacation this summer, and I'm starting to rethink it. Like, I want to just drive at this point, so I can just eliminate the going through all that. Can you imagine what kind of hell you're going to catch if you go on vacation and then come back in the country? You know what I'm saying? Being black or being brown. You know, it's funny. I was talking to my wife about this the other day. We were talking about vacation, and I was like, I don't know if I feel comfortable leaving. I'm trying to get back. Like, just going through that process, it just seems like a lot.
Starting point is 01:42:22 And then a lot of the areas just doesn't seem like it's safe right now. Yeah. And it can be very traumatized and see your kids, too. You never know what you're going to run into in the airports now. Yeah, but I ain't driving to Florida. My dad used to drive to Florida. I was like, that's a 14-60-hour drive. I hate those trips.
Starting point is 01:42:37 I don't think I could. I hate those driving from South Carolina. My mom's sister lives in Orlando. Lord have mercy. Oh, my gosh. I used to hate those chips. Hello, who's this? Good morning.
Starting point is 01:42:47 This is Pam. Hi, Pam. Hi, Pam. Where are you calling them from Pam? I'm calling him from Jacksonville. It's Pam. with the T. Oh, Tam.
Starting point is 01:42:54 I'm sorry, Tam. What's your thoughts, Mama? My thought is, it depends on how they're going to be used, first of all,
Starting point is 01:43:00 because they're only trained to deal with deportation. If they're just going to be doing security, I think it'll be fine. But if they start winning, like, the TSA scanners
Starting point is 01:43:09 and things like that, I think it's going to be a big disaster and I believe they're going to do a lot of racial profiles. Can I ask you a question, ma'am? How can you see how how can you see how they moved in Minnesota
Starting point is 01:43:19 and think that it's going to be fine? at the airport. I tried to start off positive because I really only had negative negative ideas, but I do believe it's going to be a big disaster, and it's going to be a lot of racial profiling. Okay.
Starting point is 01:43:38 There's no need to put any sprinkles on it. It's okay to be honest about this situation, man. Thank you, Mama. Are you welcome? All right. Well, what's the moral of the story if there is a moral? The moral of the story to me, man, is the scariest thing about this situation
Starting point is 01:43:52 is that this is really organized chaos. Like, you know, Project 2025 shows you playing as day on page 159 that until it is privatized, TSA should be treated as a national security provider and its workforce should be deunionized immediately. It says deunionized, defunded, and replaced with a form of ice. Right. So this is a plan. So this seems like it's just, you know, something he's just did on the fly.
Starting point is 01:44:18 It's like, no, this is organized, strategic. chaos. So that should prompt people to go read the rest of Project 2025 because this ain't the only thing that's going to come out of woodwork. And I will tell people if you do have to fly, give yourself a lot of extra time. Those airports are crazy. Like no, hours. Yes, I've been traveling. Four or five hours. And I have pretty much everything. I have touchless. I have a pre-check. I have, you name it. And it gets me through the airports free. Well, fast, I should say. But if you don't. You will be waiting outside and if you have bags to check, it's going to take a long
Starting point is 01:44:53 time. So please give yourself extra time. And if you've got a flight of LaGuardia today, I think LaGuardia shut down to 2 p.m. because of that accident. So give yourself a lot of extra time. Don't try to wait to the last minute because nobody cares when you're about to miss your flight. Yeah, and also they stop clear. Like, I don't know if it's like forever, but
Starting point is 01:45:10 they're taking clear out of certain airports too. So yeah, it's just going to be like priority line, pre-check and standard. I don't know why. And it was like that LaGuarda didn't have clear on Friday. GSO didn't have clear on Sunday when me coming back. It was a lot. Wow.
Starting point is 01:45:28 All right. Well, when we come back, we got the latest with Lauren, so don't go anywhere. It's the breakfast club. Good morning. Lauren, you coming straight back. Tell her, lady. She gets them from somebody that knows somebody. She gets to detail.
Starting point is 01:45:39 I'm the home girl that knows a little bit about everything. She'd be having the latest on this. The latest with Lauren La Rosa. Sometimes you have facts. Sometimes you have detail. Sometimes you have a little bit everything. Well, it's the latest. Brought to you by Talk Dog Law on the Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:45:55 Talk to me. All right, guys. So really quickly, I wanted to send a rest in peace to Chuck Norris. So it was announced late Friday that he had passed away. Chuck Norris is known for playing Texas Ranger Cordell Walker and the CBS TV show. Walker, Texas Ranger. Walker, Texas Ranger from the 90s, yes. And, you know, he's known as a black belt.
Starting point is 01:46:17 he excelled in several martial arts genres. But he also has just become like a very big, well-known face in pop culture and television over the years, even though he kind of took a step back. But it was an announcement that he passed away in Hawaii. His family released a statement via his social media saying that he had passed away with his family surrounding him. And they mentioned in the statement
Starting point is 01:46:40 that they know a lot of people heard about a recent hospitalization that happened with him. Because earlier that week, it was reported that he was hospitalized lives in Hawaii. No one knew why. But it seemed like it came sudden. And his family said that his passing was sudden. So they're just asking for privacy and prayers at this time. And they
Starting point is 01:46:57 did thank everybody for sending prayers and for everyone who reached out when they heard about the hospitalization. So, you know, I wanted to take some time to say rest in peace to Chuck Norris. Yes. And switching gears, Charlemagne was all over the timeline this weekend. We saw you at NASCAR with Rajah Kruath, who had the Black
Starting point is 01:47:15 Effect car wrapped on the track. Yes, man. We sponsored the good brother, Roger Carouse. Number 32 car this weekend at Darlington Raceway. So, yeah, it was a, man, there's a stigma around NASCAR, right? Because honestly, I just didn't think it was a lot of black people in NASCAR. But there is a lot of black people in NASCAR. Yes, man, the people that, you know, work the pit crew and the engineers and, like, you know, the heads of security.
Starting point is 01:47:40 And, of course, you know, you know, people like Roger Caroof and Bubba Wallace. But you got guys like my man, LeVars. Scott, he was driving in the race as well. He's a brother man. And just, yeah, salute to everybody at NASCAR. Salute to Jordan Allen, salute to Jordan Letterman. I had a fantastic time at Dalton Raceway with NASCAR this weekend. Yeah, that's fine.
Starting point is 01:47:57 And I saw Michael Jordan make his three as well, too, over the weekend. He wins too much in life. I mean, gosh. But he wasn't winning for a long time in NASCAR. It seems like his calls came around and now. Every time I hear about him, he's winning, though. In the last year, he started winning. I think the last four out of six.
Starting point is 01:48:10 And the last year, he's been winning a lot. But before that, it was heartbreaking for him. But now he's been winning a lot. Did you see Michael Jordan? No, he was there Sunday. I was just Saturday. Okay. Yeah, but yeah, shout out to him as well, too.
Starting point is 01:48:21 But I thought it was so far. I saw all of the Askar pages and stuff reposting you guys as well. That's dope. Yes, congratulations. Now, some other big news that's going down. So you guys remember when we had Jabari here, who was a senior editor at Forbes? Yes. And he was telling us about just some of the Forbes, Black Billionaires list that were coming out
Starting point is 01:48:38 and an interview that he was doing with Usher, right? So Usher and Big Sean have teamed up, and they have this whole huge Boys and Girls Club that they're doing in Detroit. This is Usher's not first time. He's done it in Atlanta. But this one focuses so much on arts and entertainment. And they're putting in a million dollars to make sure that, you know, this facility gets what it needs. So they sat down for an interview and they have a conversation about why only a million dollars.
Starting point is 01:49:01 Let's take a listen. You know, we're here in Detroit. And it's a one million investment that you and Big Sean through your foundation. And we're just getting started. Yeah. Well, why not more money, right? Why a million and why not more? Because I want to instigate the world to understand that this is a seed investment.
Starting point is 01:49:15 and I want their support, right? It is not just my efforts. It is the ability of the state, the city, and entrepreneurs, like-minded with the interests of investing in the resource that we have here. Our youth are embedded in the community, and we don't want them to leave. We want them to have access to the tools that they can grow with. You know, my goal ultimately would be to have over 500 Boys and Girls Club
Starting point is 01:49:40 adopt this concept and the idea of innovation centers, of Spark Labs, of disruptivator clubs, of entertainment environments where kids can find their way to something that's personally of interest. Why just a million dollars? What is Jabari talking about? That is a crazy question.
Starting point is 01:49:55 What is Jabari talking about? You know how much a million dollars is? Why just a million? That sounds crazy. Yeah, more is always better, but a million is damn good. A hundred thousand is good. 500,000 is good. What are we talking about? 50,000 is good.
Starting point is 01:50:08 And it's a hundred million. It's a million dollars each. So it's two million total, but a million dollars each. So Usher and Big Sean, right? Now, the facility opened back in February, and if you go to, like, the Forbes article or the interview, Usher's Instagram, and they take you on, like, a visual tour of the Boys and Girls Club. It is so fire.
Starting point is 01:50:25 They have, like, this one part of the Boys and Girls Club where, like, the girls and the guys who are into fashion, they literally have, like, a whole studio, and they get the, they're actually in their designing and producing, there's, you know, AI, music labs. Like, I'm like, yo, if I grew up with something like this, like, the resources that are just right there is fire. but yeah so that conversation is in full at forb.com yeah shout out to them usher and big Sean oh yeah yes million dollars is a lot of money by the way
Starting point is 01:50:50 oh I'm not I'm a lot of money Jabari you got to tell me and I think it's too the conversation is good to ignite other people like usher's talking about because think about how many other celebrities could match what he has going on easily right I mean but if I throw a little 20 thousand out I'm gonna feel like damn it's not enough 20,000 is a lot of money too for them kids and I'm like how you said 20,000. That's a lot of money. That's what it made it seem like. They made it seem like my little 20 won't be at. They said a million ain't enough. Well, yes. Well, yes. Well, shout out to them. Now, in other news, Brandy, so it was announced that Brandy will be receiving a star on the
Starting point is 01:51:28 Hollywood Walk of Fame. Yeah, so this is going to have. She was like she should have been that. Yes. This is going to happen on March 30. If it'll be recognizing her 30 year career and music, film and television, it'll be, you know, on the Walk of Fame. And the, the speakers that are slated right now include Issa Ray and Babyface. So, you know, that'll be something to watch. What about Willie Rayneauwood, Jr. the third?
Starting point is 01:51:50 Ray J. You got to let Ray J. talk about. But no. You have to let Ray J. give a speech, Brandon. And I love Ray J. But no, not there.
Starting point is 01:52:01 Either let Ray J. give his speech there or he going to do it on Instagram live. What would you rather? What would you rather? I would let you know just 28 seconds ago, Ray J. just posted my bad. This apology is for Brandy, for you, only you and out of you, I was out of pocket, no spend, no extras, you are my blood.
Starting point is 01:52:17 And I moved in a way that didn't reflect your brand in a positive way. I apologize for real. He needs that. Because he want that invite to the Hollywood. Hollywood Walk of Fame. Invited, but he needs to just be there and support me quiet. The last line. Hopefully, I can be a part of your world in the future.
Starting point is 01:52:33 And to my mom and dad, I apologize to. Yes. So, yeah. Congratulations to Brandi. And I'm sure Reggie will be there, but hopefully he will not speak. Yes. Well, we got time for one more now. Okay, well, taking it on, keeping it
Starting point is 01:52:47 in the vein of women and music, Candy Burrs announced over the weekend that she's going to be doing a one-woman like play, like something theatrical. It literally sold out in minutes when she announced the tickets were on sale. I saw Todd, her now strange husband, congratulate her
Starting point is 01:53:02 on the play. Now, the play is supposed to be about their divorce situation, their relationship, and how she arrived to where we see her now, because she says she wants to tell her own story. She sat down with a big tigger on V-103 in Atlanta and talked about why she wants to tell her own story. Let's take a listen. Why did you feel like you had to tell everybody that you were going through this, that, and the third, or every step in the process of your divorce? Well, the thing is, I wanted to seal our divorce, meaning to, like, seal our paperwork.
Starting point is 01:53:32 So every time something was filed, it wouldn't be public. Right. Okay, yeah. They, on the other side, chose not to. So for me, it's like, every. time something is filed then the bloggers get it the people I talk about it and they're able to say what they want about a create down story from whatever is filed.
Starting point is 01:53:53 Yeah, so the one woman show is called I do, I did, I'm done and it's going to be in Atlanta at the City Winery so Candy, she just came off a Broadway for Aunt Juliet so she's taking matters into her own hands and tell her own story. What did tell her I say? What was in his caption? I saw it. He said, he posted it on his
Starting point is 01:54:09 Instagram and he said, yo. He put a million Why not more? Oh. No. That's not what he put? No, he said, your ass ain't done. Laugh out loud. Just kidding.
Starting point is 01:54:19 Go support your girl candy. At City Winery on April 27th. I'd be so confused about their relationship and like where it stands today. But they're doing what they got to do to get through it. It seems like so. Yeah. Well, I'm glad to see that he's supporting her. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:32 Me too. Hopefully his ass be there. Speaking of Atlanta, man. The fourth annual Black Effect Podcast Festival is happening at Pullman Yards in Atlanta, at Georgia on April 25th. And I wanted to say this right now because we are going to have the Black Effect Race Simulator
Starting point is 01:54:46 at the festival. Oh, that's fire. Yeah, race simulators are what got Roger Caroof in the actual racing. So we're going to have a Black Effect race simulator at the festival. So go get your tickets.
Starting point is 01:54:57 April 25th at Pullman Yards in Atlanta, Georgia. Gritchin' Eggs podcast will be on that stage. Reality with the King with Carlos King. Jeff Teague in the Club 520 podcast. Starting point is 01:55:48 There was 10,000 women out there, probably about 100 guys. And we had an amazing time. The convention center was jam-packed. We partied all night long, so I want to say thank you guys for allowing me to DJ your event. Also, I want to salute to the New York City Football Club, which is the professional soccer team

And also the vault in Staten Island, they had their grand opening. I brought you your package that you wanted. And I brought Lauren her package as well that she said her mama wanted. So salute to the vault, Boris. What's up?
Starting point is 01:56:25 Now, you were in the Carolinas this weekend, right? Yes, I was. Shout out to the city of Greensboro, y'all. They showed me a lot of love. Again, I had some food that was so good. Black chef, Chef Dave, he's known in the city. young guy, videographer Tyler, Ty filmed it
Starting point is 01:56:42 he came through. Like, it was such, I don't know, it was just kind of like a family reunion at the Comedy Zone. I love the Comedy Club. When I go there at Greensboro, it's like, it's dope.
Starting point is 01:56:51 So I appreciate the whole city. This weekend, I'm gonna be in New Brunswick, New Jersey, down the street. So get your tickets. I'll be at the Stress Factory. This weekend, we got four shows, two on Friday, two on Saturday.

Starting point is 01:57:10 I am repping today. Clarice Prechus Jones, played by Gabby Sadibe from the movie Prechus. And the film, Precious is a 16-year-old girl growing up in Harlem in the 80s, and she's navigating a lot of things. She's navigating extreme abuse, poverty, and illiteracy, having been raped by her father and physically and psychologically tortured by her mother. She also mothered two babies by her low-down, dirty-ass. father as well. And despite all these traumas, precious still finds the strengths
Starting point is 01:57:42 through her inner fantasies. Like she, you can see throughout the movie, like, she just escapes in her own mind to get away from her reality and a supportive alternative school where she finds, where she meets her classmates who becomes her friends, the only friends that she have, and a nice
Starting point is 01:57:59 teacher, Miss Rain, who's played by Paula Patton. Yo, it's a lot of preciouses out there. And when you have, like, When you think you don't have anybody there to, like, help you out with life and, you know, come to your need, come to your aid when you're dealing with all these adversities. It is community out there. Somebody that loves you. And that's why I love the movie.
Starting point is 01:58:22 You know, she had a lot of adversity up against her, you know, but her social worker, her teacher, and her friends, who were her students, became our friends. And they helped her get through her crazy-ass life. And pressures went on to be great. So, you know, just I honor that. But I honor the real preciouses in the world. No doubt. Yeah. Because this movie was inspired by the real preciouses lives.
Starting point is 01:58:47 Word. So we got like another week of this. That's it. That's it. All right. All right. Now, also, I got to remind you guys, if you haven't got your tickets, get your tickets to the Black Effect Podcast Festival.

Starting point is 01:59:40 And you got a positive no, Shala? I do. And I just want to salute everybody at NASCAR again, man. Thank you for the hospitality this weekend. Slupt to my guy, Roger and his father, Roger.
Starting point is 01:59:49 It was a pleasure to be able to, you know, sponsor his car this weekend for the O'Reilly race at Darlington Raceway in Darling this weekend. We have the Black Effect, you know, rap car, if you haven't seen it.
Starting point is 02:00:00 But we're going to have the race simulator, Black Effect Race Simulator, at the podcast festival. So, man, salute to everybody. Jordan Allen and Jordan Letterman and just LeVar Scott, everybody I saw this weekend at NASCAR. Thank you for the hospitality.
Starting point is 02:00:13 I really enjoyed myself, man. But the positive note is simply this. Be mindful of what you react to. Not everything deserves your energy or your time. Keep your vibration high and be a source of light instead. Have a great day. Breakfast club, bidsies.
Starting point is 02:00:26 Are you all finished or y'all done? Boop up. Wake you up. Wake that ass up. Program your alarm to Power 105.1 on IHeartRadio.
Starting point is 02:01:30 Listen to No Grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Bailey Taylor and this is It Girl. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins, but the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test ones.
