Starting point is 00:02:22 Just hilarious, Shalaman the guard. Beast of the planet is Tuesday. Hey, how y'all feel out there? I feel blessed black and highly favored. Happy to be here another day to serve our beautiful listeners. Good morning. Good morning. We are back.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Officially back from vacation. That's right. You were scheduled to be back yesterday. I was. Not me. I was scheduled to come back yesterday. Salute to everybody I've seen in New Orleans. But the flight situation, it really humbled me yesterday.
Starting point is 00:02:48 So we were flying back from New Orleans so I could be here yesterday. And the flight got delayed. And then it got diverted to Columbus, Ohio. And I was very humbled. They humbled me. Humble to each out of me. Why humbled? Why that word?
Starting point is 00:03:01 Because when I landed, they gave everybody a voucher to a hotel. Okay. And let's just say it wasn't the hotel that I don't think anybody's used to staying at. So they put us all in a hotel. I'm going to tell you, I'm going to tell you, because it was a plane. It probably was something like a double tree, something nice, like a double tree. Put like that. When I went upstairs and I pulled back the sheets, there was pee stains on the sheets.
Starting point is 00:03:24 So I had to go back down and get another room. It sounded like somebody was just welcoming you home. I slept in my clothes. I was humbled. I didn't go front, but we did make it home. And salute to everybody in New Orleans, if you haven't been to Essence Festival, this was the first time I was actually able to experience it on a level of not just being an artist, hopping in and hopping out, and just seeing what essence means to us.
Starting point is 00:03:45 I saw a salute to Wendy. Her name is Wendy. She's a flight attendant on JetBlue, and she was talking to me about Essence, and she was saying how Envy's car show was dope. Yeah, it was. And I was just like, were you there? Like, I don't know if she was dead or not, but maybe she was. That was yesterday.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Yeah, I don't know, but it was a huge attraction, so salute to essence. But the reason I say it's so dope is that's the biggest event that I see for us, right, whether it was the beauty con, they have the gospel on Sundays, the performances, and we just have to make sure that we keep it like that, because I've never experienced it like that. So the amount of love and hugs and highs and people talking about the show and everything, I mean, it's just so much love. So I just want to say salute to everybody.
Starting point is 00:04:27 that I ran into at Estes Music Fest out of an amazing time. Hopefully we could run it back next year. Now, how was your vacay? Well, I just got back from the beautiful island of Van Gwila last night. Drop on the Clues Bonds for Anguilly. You know, that's my second home. And the funny thing is you talk about patience. I thought you was about to say you learned the lesson in patience
Starting point is 00:04:44 because my flight was delayed for like maybe an hour or something like that. But also when we landed, the gate wasn't ready yet. And then when we got off the plane, they still hadn't opened up the thing to get to customs. but I was explaining to my 10-year-old and 7-year-old because they were complaining about now having to wait and I'm just like, that's just the way life is sometimes. These things are completely out of your control. Yeah, and so many flights have been canceled.
Starting point is 00:05:08 If you've been trying to fly back from your 4th of July celebrations, whether you went to Miami or you in New Orleans or if you were out of the country, the flights have just been like crazy. I was delayed six hours, and then yesterday coming home, I was delayed another five hours. But nothing you can do about it. I made it home safe. There's nothing you can do about it.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Made it home safe. Well, where the hell of Jess and Lauren? They had the show to themselves yesterday, so they decided that since we're back, they're not coming into this? That's not how this works, ladies. That's not how this works. They did hold it down yesterday, so salute to the ladies, salute to Jess, salute to me, me. They held it down yesterday. And let's get the show cracking.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Oh, the unks is out this week, right? Oh, my God. I was told you are the person I need to talk to to get me in the building to see Jay-Z. No, J-Z. Nothing this weekend, okay? Y'all gets nothing. All right. You are not the person I'm supposed to talk to to to go see a home?
Starting point is 00:05:55 I do have a sweet this week. See, that's that stuff. You want to be there? You want to be there? Yes, sir. All right. I figured you got me. I figured you got me.
Starting point is 00:06:01 I said, anybody I can call is going to be showing me. Yes, sir. Okay, I'm put you down. There you go. I'm going to be in the sweet. I'm good. See, there you go. Well, let's get the show cracking.
Starting point is 00:06:10 All right. What we're starting off with? Why not? Okay, heart of the city? Why not? Let's do this. I'm telling you right now, the onksies outside this weekend, damn it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:18 That's right. Jay Z got three shows at Yankees'clock this weekend. And there's a lot of people from out of town flying in for those shows. $140,000 tickets sold. What are you talking about? People flying in. That's all people were talking about. At Essence,
Starting point is 00:06:31 they were saying that after Essence this week, they're flying into New York. And they were asking, what should they do in New York? Where should they eat? Listen, man. They're flying in and see a hole this weekend. You said, we got to create these spaces that bring us joy, right?
Starting point is 00:06:41 Yes. This is one of those weekends that's going to bring us joy. Reasonable doubt on Friday. He's performing, blueprint on Saturday, and extra inning Sunday. That's right. Unks is outside. Outfits ready like it's the first day.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Well, let's get in some front page news. Now, we got to start off with the USA men's national soccer team. They were eliminated yesterday to Belgium. They lost 4 to 1. Now, the crazy thing about this story is one of the players got a red card, right? Red card meaning they showed it. That was a red card. Well, when you get a red card, that means you purposely tried to hurt somebody.
Starting point is 00:07:12 And one of the players were suspended. Oh, I thought the red card was like some sort of new green card. Like, it was for people that weren't supposed to be in this country. For immigrants? That's what I thought. Because the way everybody was talking, mind you, I was on the plane. So I just kept hearing something about a red card and people were saying it was Trump's fault. I was like, well, did the person not get the card?
Starting point is 00:07:30 No. So what the hell happened? One of the players got suspended, and he shouldn't have got suspended because he didn't do it on purpose. But Trump made a call Lafifah and Trump got the player to play. Oh. So they unsuspended him. Okay. Which is crazy, which has never been heard.
Starting point is 00:07:45 But we still lost. It didn't matter. And yesterday Spain beat Portugal. What's up, Mimi? Good morning, MV. Good morning, Shaleman. y'all doing this morning. Good. Good morning. Nice to have you guys back. So we start this morning with the end of one of Trump's, one of his administration's most controversial program. So Doge,
Starting point is 00:08:04 it shut down over the weekend after months of cutting federal agencies, canceling contracts, and eliminating more than 272,000 federal jobs through layoffs, hiring, freezing, and buyouts. So for hundreds of thousands of workers, that meant lost paychecks, careers, on hold and months of uncertainty. But Doge said that it saved taxpayers, billions of dollars, but critics, they are pointing out that the national debt is actually higher today
Starting point is 00:08:34 than it was when the agency first began. So I don't know if you guys remember this. A few months back, there were these two former Doge staffers. They went under oath, basically, and they had to answer to how they were cutting costs, who they were firing. and some of those decisions now are even more of a glaring red flag. We have a listen to some of those moments from those depositions right now.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Let's listen. Inappropriate in any way? Do you think it's inappropriate in any way that someone in their 20s with no experience with grants with federal government was making personal judgment calls about what grants to cancel? No, I don't think it's inappropriate. Why not? It's excellent. A person can have enough judgment from reading books and being well-informed outside of traditional experience to make judgment calls about obvious things like a grant that literally lists DEI in its description to know whether it violates an executive order.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Yeah, so basically, Doge says some people were eventually hired back, but if anything had DEI in its name, those people you just heard from, they said that they were running it. through CHAPT. And if it came back, that it had it anywhere in the name, they were eliminating the entire agency. And so Doge says it is shutting. Although Doge says it is shutting down, the Trump administration says its efforts to cut government spending, it will continue. You know, we don't talk enough about how Elon Musk and Doge ruined society.
Starting point is 00:10:12 Like you named all the jobs that eliminated. The national debt is higher. And Elon Musk received access to all our information to do God knows what would. Okay, like nobody thinks it's crazy that he invested $250 million in the Trump's campaign. He used X to suppress anti-mag messaging and amplify maga messaging. And then he got one of the greatest ROIs in the history of ROIs because now he's worth over a trillion dollars. Yeah. And got first dibs to the government once Trump got in office.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Which is crazy. That's insanity. Yeah, with really little, nothing to show for it, you know, for the American people. And if you had a baby recently or you were expecting a child, you could qualify for that $1,000 from the federal government. Now, this is part of Trump's his account program. So children born between 2025 and 28, they qualify for one-time $1,000 government deposit into an investment account that can grow over time. So parents, they can manage that until a child turns 18 and family members, grandparents, friends. They can even put money into the account up to $5,000 a year.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Children born before 20 to 25, they can still open an account, but they won't receive that $1,000 federal deposit. So to open an account, parents can just go to Trumpaccounts.gov, sign in, or you can go through the IRS and submit a form. I think the form is called 45-47. So it seems to be free money. I don't think enough research has been done about this, but it just opened on the form. Fourth of July. So if you have a child that fits that description, they were born between 2025
Starting point is 00:11:52 and 2028, you might be eligible for $1,000 put into an investment account by the Trump administration. They should lie to people and say this is some of the money that Doge saved us when they're giving it back. Come on, you got to connect some type of lie to this, okay?
Starting point is 00:12:09 All right. Thank you, Mimi. All right, well, coming up at 7, we're going to talk about a new supersonic plane that may cut down on your travel by half. Seems very interesting to get into it in the next hour.
Starting point is 00:12:22 All right. Everybody else, get it off your chest. 800585-105.151. If you need to vent, you need to highlight us. Whatever it may be, phone lines are wide open. Call us up right now. It's the breakfast club. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:12:33 It's a new day. This is your time to get it off your chest. Wait. Wake up! Whether you're mad or blessed. It's time to get up and get something. Call up now. 800-585-105-1.
Starting point is 00:12:43 We want to hear from you on the breakfast club. Hello, who's this? Yo, DJ Grumpy Envy, big chocolate with the toesuck. How are we doing, brother? I don't feel like talking about your ass today. But go ahead. So listen, listen, two things, two things. One, fat boy, DJ Cowlid still refuses to eat a salad.
Starting point is 00:13:01 And you need to tell your boy, Mayweather, do not fight Pachia on September. It's all a joke. It's all for money. It's just going to be like Ronda Rousey fighting that girl. Quick and over with, you know. But if he's going to do it, he can use Charlemagne's head. a punching bag, right? I don't think they fighting in September again.
Starting point is 00:13:20 I think that fight got postponed. But I definitely don't think Manny Pachial would participate in any stage foolishness. Oh, okay. Well, maybe NV can fight Charlamagne, right? You're the worst committee. I've never seen anything that you did. I'm trying to figure out if people can actually see you.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Big chocolate and a sucker. Wow. That's your name, right? Remember that YouTube video with Snoop, though? You fucking video with Snoop Dog. Remember that, right? No, what you do with Snoop Dog? No, I don't remember that.
Starting point is 00:13:53 No, I don't remember that. No, Foxwood, Casino, Connecticut, a few years ago. You all liked it. I have no idea what you're talking about. But I have a great deal. I have no idea. I really don't know what he's talking about. I really did that.
Starting point is 00:14:04 I have no idea what this young man was saying. Hello, who's this? Oh, this smooth jazz from the port. What's going on, Berthys Club? Smooth jazz. What's happening? Get it off your chest, smooth jazz. I'm good, man.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Hey, so. I enjoyed the Beetit Awards the other week, man, but what happened to the Seifers? I missed the Seifis. No, that's the BETie Hip-Hip-AWords. It's the Hip-I awards as the Seifers. Oh, when they're supposed to have that? I think they canceled the BATO awards.
Starting point is 00:14:32 They used to go down in Atlanta. Yeah. Okay, okay. I was definitely looking forward to seeing the Cyphers and everything, man. They could still do the Cyphers without the BET Hip-Hip Award. They could still do the Cyphers without the BET Hip-Hop Awards. That would be just something.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Dope for them to do online. Yeah, and Druski did his version of one, so, yeah, it would have been dope. Man, I've seen that. I've seen that. But he was the only one of rapping, you know. Everybody would have pitched in to this on it probably would have been a little better. It was a spoof. It was a sketch, sir.
Starting point is 00:15:02 He wasn't serious. Have a good one, brother. Yeah, the hip-hop would have been indefinitely suspended by beat. Yeah. Hello, who's this? What's growing on, DJ Envidus Pete, aka Snoop, Representing 413, Massachusetts in the building. Pete, what up?
Starting point is 00:15:18 Get it off your chest, brother. Getting off my chest. Yo, Charlemagne, the God. Happy birthday to you, brother. Happy birthday to us. Cancer is in the building. Happy born day, King. Jess.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Good morning. You're beautiful. Thank you. And the last time I called you and Charlemagne, y'all, y'all, y'all been getting it together. Y'all usually late all the time, but y'all get it together. Y'all get it together. You held the showdown yesterday, you and Lauren.
Starting point is 00:15:40 You was on time yesterday? I was. That was early. They were on time yesterday. They were there on time, everything. Yo, they held it down. I heard you were sick a little, but you almost called out. Yeah, I was just tired, yo.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Have a good one, brother. That's saying. I just want to wish y'all a good day, man. Y'all have a good one. Thank you, you, too. That same flight attendant, Wendy, she told me that, too. She was like, the girls held it down this morning. Oh, that's what I was.
Starting point is 00:16:05 That's what I was. Yeah. That's what I was. Yeah. Get it off your chest. 800-585-105-1. If you need to vent, hit us up now. It's the breakfast club.
Starting point is 00:16:12 Good morning. Time to get it off your chest. Chief calling. 800-585-105-1. We want to hear from you on the breakfast club. Hello, who's this? This is Mel from Stables of Carolina. What's up, Neal?
Starting point is 00:16:26 Good morning. Good morning. Get it off your chest, Mama. I want to vent about why people all of a sudden forget their kids are in the backseat when it's hot weather. Like, you never really hear about kids freezing a death in a car. Like, I have a tell you ride in 2025. And before I even get out of the car, it reminds me to check the backseat of my
Starting point is 00:16:45 car. Like, I don't understand why that's even the thing. Like, the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning is my child. Everything I do is revolves around my child. The reason I, the reason I wake up in the morning. So I don't understand how people are so busy or their lives are so hensy to the point that you get it's in the back seat and you leave them in the car to suffer this horrible death of dying. He's never hear about keeping freezing the death. I just don't understand that. Yeah. It's very sad. The caution didn't even have to remind you that your kid's in the back seat. I did. There was, that's crazy work.
Starting point is 00:17:17 There was one case where a husband put his kid in the car for his wife, and the wife forgot the kid was in the car because she thought he took her. Oh, okay. And I know that, that happens sometimes, but I don't know how. In the heat? In the heat? In the heat? It's always the heat.
Starting point is 00:17:34 It's never the cold. You never get about a kid. Yeah, I don't understand how people leave their kids in the car. That's the first thing I do is I'm, I mean, you know your kids are in the car. Yeah, you're taking them with you. Like, how not. When I get in the car, I put my rearview mirror on my child And then I use my side mirrors as a guy
Starting point is 00:17:50 My rear view mirrors always on my child Since my baby's only three, my only child But I have nieces and nephews I have raised And never have I ever forgot that they were in the car with me I even seen a story on Oprah a few years ago Well, a little bit of Florida and a few years ago Where a guy left his twins in the car And they died from heat
Starting point is 00:18:11 Wow That's crazy. And for parents that there's twins in the car. That's crazy. That's crazy. If a parents out there, you should have your child
Starting point is 00:18:18 behind the passenger seat if you don't know. Because that way you can keep an eye on your kids, yeah. So if you don't know, your child should be in the passenger backseat.
Starting point is 00:18:27 You can see them. Right, right. And the rear passenger. The parents might not be being honest, too. Like, they don't ever talk about the crack day smoke in those stories or whatever,
Starting point is 00:18:34 you know what I'm saying? Or how you just don't, how you just don't want the child but maybe your just, that's right. Overwhelmed. Like, come on now, some of your stories
Starting point is 00:18:42 just don't add up to me. That's what I'm saying. Right. Because if the crack was in the back seat, you would get it before you got out. Okay, you get it before you get it before you kids, huh? Yeah. Hello, who's this? Hello, this is Kim from Phoenix, Arizona.
Starting point is 00:18:55 I called about three weeks ago. What's up, Phoenix is hot, Kim. I was, at my daughter's at a dance convention. It was 110 degrees. Like, that was ridiculous. It is. It is. But I called about three weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:19:08 My birthday is right after Charlemagne's birthday. His is a 29th. Mine is the 30th. I said that I had a screenplay. Happy birthday. Thank you. He said he was going to send the producer's email address so he could read my screenplay,
Starting point is 00:19:23 and I never received the email address. Eddie, why you ain't giving you an email? No, put on. We're going to put you on hold. Eddie F is the producer. All you got to do is give you the email. He was like. Sean, what up?
Starting point is 00:19:37 Get it off your chest, Sean. What up, though? Good morning. What's up with it? Uncle's outside this week. You with us? Yeah, I'm outside. Yeah, Saturday. I'll be there Saturday coming from St. Louis.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Oh, you're going to the blueprint show. Okay. That's he does the blueprint on Saturday. Yes, it is. I was just calling me to get off my chest. What is it to do that weekend? You just said it. We're going to see Jay Z at Yankee Stadium. You want to know what else after? Go home. Yeah, you know what did you mean? What else is there to do? I'll be there the whole weekend. But I always want to say, what's up to y'all? I love y'all. Let's see y'all every morning. What's up to my daughters of Kay.
Starting point is 00:20:13 son, your highness, and everybody in 314. Y'all have a good thing. Get there early, because I'm sure traffic going to be crazy, brother. So just get there early. Yeah, I'm going to be there early. All right, brother. My home girl said that to me yesterday.
Starting point is 00:20:25 She was like, so we outside this weekend. She's like, after the concert, we're in these streets. I said, no, the hell we're not. The concert don't even start. Or ate something. Yeah. So you probably be out of there about 11.30. And I'm going home.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Like, what else is there to go? The bridge is right there to home. I'm going to go. I'm going to go. And you're going to be outside after this concert. What else is there to be? do you got food at the concert you got drinks at the concert you got music what else did it I don't want to go to know after party after that what what get it off your chest 800
Starting point is 00:20:52 585105-1 what's up Lauren good morning you made it back I'm finally made it back yeah yeah yeah yeah she still stuck yeah she still stuck in New Orleans yeah flights canceled all day yesterday yeah she got good food while she there yeah it was the weather the weather the weather she got a weight on comfort plus seats and stuff like that you know she's long binges Shut up. Shut up. You have to wait. Everybody found Ben's at the essence.
Starting point is 00:21:15 They was like, where's the tall girl, Solomon? Oh, yes, you go. We was in Marrose, and she came up to the table to just say bye to me, and they was trying to get around her. And the security girl was like, I don't want the hot place to hit you. She was like, I'm big. They ain't going to hit me. But good morning, y'all.
Starting point is 00:21:29 We got the latest coming up what we're talking about. We do. Starting point is 00:24:28 Came back, was like, cool, let's pick up where we left off. And that series had been completed without me. Oh, no. That's like the number one rule of watching something. It's literally cheating. It's cheating. That's crazy. We talk about what it's been like watching the show become such a massive hit. What's next for season two?
Starting point is 00:24:43 And just how close the off-campus cast really is. We're genuinely so close. What's the group chat called? If you can say, if it's allowed to be said on the pod. That's a great question. One of them is off-campus Brazil. Okay, love it. Shout out Brazil.
Starting point is 00:24:58 Shout out Brazil. And then the boys have their own group chat called Dean's B-Bez. Our conversation with Mika Abdallah is out now. Go check it out. Listen to Hey Jonas in the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Good morning. Morning, everybody. We are the breakfast club.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Let's get to the latest. What are you want to know? with Lauren La Rosa. Because you particularly are bringing the energy to mainstream radio the black radio. That source is trusted. Did you hear that exclusive?
Starting point is 00:25:27 Lauren. I'm the homeguard that knows a little bit about everything and everything. She'd be having the latest companies. You ask the question that need to be answered. On the breakfast club. If little brown girls look at you and go, I want to be like you.
Starting point is 00:25:38 L.L. Cubey. All right, y'all, good morning. Good morning. Hello, Coobay. So, let's talk about Jermaine DePree. And so, so, Deb. So there was a lawsuit that was filed on July 6. I received it last night.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Jermaine DePree, Social Death Recordings, and Social Death Productions is suing Sony. They're claiming that Sony spent years failing to pay proper royalties to music tied to escape, DeBrat, Chris Crawls, Jagged Edge, Usher, Mariah, Mariah, Bow Wow, Jayquan, and Bone Crusher. He's actually asking for $18 million. He says that this is like a 32-year-old business relationship that is now going sour. And he's saying that it wasn't just like a mess-up or like something that was like, like a small clerical error, that this is specifically Sony allegedly under reporting royalties
Starting point is 00:26:24 and failing to report other royalties at all and altering like old statements allegedly once money questions started to get louder and as they started to ask questions. So now he is saying that he is old, this $18 million, the sum of $18 million or cost all of the music that I just talked about.
Starting point is 00:26:40 And I did reach out to Germain DePree's rep for a statement, but it's an ongoing legal litigation. So they're not making any statements right now. I completely believe Jermaine. Simply because Jermaine Dupree has been a person who's been on top of his business since day one. Yeah. His father's a huge music executive, Michael Mawley. So if Jermaine Dupree says he's owed some money, I'm pretty sure Jermaine Dupree's old some money.
Starting point is 00:27:01 Yeah, they'll have to order it out, find out what everything goes and he'll get his money. Yeah. It ain't going to be that easy, but they're going to have to audit them out. But I'm sure that probably came from an audit maybe. He probably already did an audit and that came from, that's how you got that number. It says in the documents that once questions would begin to be asked because of certain things like different artists and stuff like that, that's when there were certain things that Sony wasn't producing allegedly, correctly. Specifically, I think I just mentioned it.
Starting point is 00:27:26 It says the ads claims got louder. There were certain things that were, once the money, questions started to get louder. There were underreported royalties failed to, different things that were being failed to report. There were old statements that were being altered once questions started being asked. You already told me what I needed to know. The audit was already done, you got to run your money to pay as money. And they altered statements. They did, yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:48 According to the allegedly according to this lawsuit and I don't have a statement from Sony at all on this but yeah I didn't even know Jay Kwan was this artist for real oh yeah yeah that was like a whole era yo jacquan was I wonder what yeah let's not make this messy so yeah okay it's just business there's no parliament of friends and enemies when it comes to business just handle the business yeah so jane depre is asking for a jury trial a jury trial um he's also asking for the 18 million dollars at least uh what I mentioned um interest attorney fees and other release uh that the court will allow for him to recoup from this dip. It works out in his favor. JD should definitely get that. Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Now, in other music news, so there was something posted to one of Sizzes, like alternate accounts. There's like a couple accounts that fans point to as hers. She posts on them frequently outside of the Siza account.
Starting point is 00:28:32 And this announcement has people reaching out and sending her some love. So she talked about finding out that she had a autism diagnosis. So she says, finally took the time and got formally diagnosed as Bergers slash high functioning autism
Starting point is 00:28:46 slash smarter than you in words. So stop playing in my face. Because pattern recognition told me, and I will get to the bottom of this. Thanks. So, yeah. So she's on the spectrum. She's autistic.
Starting point is 00:28:58 That's what this post is saying. Asperger's is like the most mildest version of autism. You probably thought it came with cheese and tell you. First of all, no, not an Asperger. But yeah, Aspergers, I have heard of that before. She says in this post, or in another comment under the post, she said, pretty sure this is why I'm taking AI so personally,
Starting point is 00:29:15 by the way, because y'all know she's been speaking on some of these same pages about AI and alleging corruption through it and stuff like that. She says, this is also why she's probably in every comment section as well. So, yeah, that's an update there with Sizzan. Now, I think we should all go see what our issues are if we think that we have issues. Like, don't let chat GPT or Google diagnose you. Like, actually go sit down with somebody and see, see if there's something there. Yo, have y'all ever felt like something was wrong and then you Google it and it makes you feel like 50 other things?
Starting point is 00:29:43 You don't even go to the doctor. I died yesterday No, in the moment before, even before you can get to a doctor asking Google I've been freaking out It happens, it happens all the time The YouTube videos start popping up
Starting point is 00:29:57 That is like a crazy dance man Because when you hear about people With autism or people that are autistic A lot of times people don't feel like they're Exactly Yeah, you think one type of- Go ahead No, I'm just saying you think one type of function
Starting point is 00:30:09 And people just think autistic is like one thing It's a broad spectrum, yeah I'm just glad she went to go get a real diagnosis. Right. We don't be getting real diagnosis. They see things about themselves and feel like, oh, I got that trait. I got that trait. And they just label themselves that.
Starting point is 00:30:22 No, go get a real diagnosis and see what's happening. Well, speaking of seeing what's happening, this actually released a couple days ago, but I haven't seen it circulating anywhere. Remember, we've been talking a lot about Floyd Mayweather and the lawsuits. The fight's not happening. So him and Cameron did a episode of It Is What It Is. They were in Floyd's Boxing Gym in Vegas. And Cameron is asking him about a lot of the recent.
Starting point is 00:30:43 headlines that we've seen. And he kind of answers a lot of the questions that we have. So Floyd talks about if he's fighting for money only, like, because he needs it. Let's take a listen. So a lot of people are saying you're doing this just causing the money. Is it just cause money or just what's what you want to do? Well, as you know, I mean, nobody is taking none of my properties away from me. Right.
Starting point is 00:31:04 So I still got all my houses. I still got everything. I still, my mother, my whole family, they bill still paid. Right. I still pay all my employees. Yeah. answer the question. No, he didn't answer.
Starting point is 00:31:14 A lot of the, yo, so this is like a 23-minute long interview. And a lot of the questions, I was like, he is dodging a heck out of these questions. It's like he's giving you a lot of time. Period. And that's exactly what he's doing because it's like he's giving you answers, but not really. So then they asked about, you remember, he put up the Floyd fight and then the Pachial fights. And then people were like, is this happening or not? He gets into that.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Let's take a listen to number two. All right. So who we saw a fight is it? We hear a lot of names, it's Tyson, it's Packyial. We see you going overseas or kickboxing possibly. Who is it going to be? First. Is it a list? Time or tell?
Starting point is 00:31:46 Okay. I just want to make sure they got their numbers right. As you guys seen, you know, I posted the Tyson fight and I posted the little guy, I think the other guy, and his name is Mike also. Okay. Over in Greece. Yeah. But, you know, sometimes I post him and I take him down and I post him down, you know. It is what it is, you know.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Yeah, so he's saying that he's trying to make sure the money is right, and that's just what he does. Yeah, we had been talking a bit about this for background. I know the fight in Greece, remember, they decided to step out of that because there was allegedly a exclusive deal that Floyd did with other promoters for the Pachial and the Tyson fights. That then this promoter was like, well, you're breaching our contract and we've already paid you. So they just, people are stepping out because legally there's disputes and things are getting messy. And his team is basically saying, we just want to take a pause until we get through all of this. But people were confused about whether he was going to fight these fights or not way before his team said less pause because of legal issues. The Tyson fight was already supposed to happen.
Starting point is 00:32:39 The fight in Greece was supposed to happen a couple of weeks ago. Yeah. We don't know if Pachial happening in September. I will say that, but people got to stop comparing themselves to Floyd. Floyd's broke
Starting point is 00:32:48 is not other people's broke. Like, because people are Floyd's broke. Like, that's what they've been saying. That's what they've been saying. That's what the conversation is around these fights have been. Yeah, money problems.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Yeah, I ain't anybody saying broke. No, they said he's broke. The reason he's fighting, he needs the money and this and he's standing. Floyd's still has a lot of assets. He still has a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:33:05 I'm sure there might be money problems, but Floyd, he far from broke. Yeah. And he, I mean, he talks about. some other stuff in here, but he don't really say much
Starting point is 00:33:13 about the Al Hayman's lawsuit, the Jay-Z when he pulled the money out and he was sitting at a game next to Jay-Z, yeah, pulled money out and people were upset about that, but he dodges a lot of this conversation and basically sums it up to the community just not supporting him the same anymore. And that's why this conversation is starting. And dropping a clues
Starting point is 00:33:29 bombs for Cam, too, man, Cam Ron, right? Cam Ron doesn't get enough credit for evolving from, you know, rapper businessman to sports media personality businessman. Cam does an incredible job. I mean, not just being in the field doing conversations like this, but even seeing them on first take a lot, like, Cam doing this thing.
Starting point is 00:33:47 Drop on the clues bombs for Cam again. Yeah, and I must say nobody's been able to get a straight answer or anything out of Floyd on all of this stuff, and this was a one-on-one, and he obviously was there to try and answer some questions. He's the greatest defensive fighter of all time, not just in the ring, but even in interviews. Yeah, I see. Well, that is the latest below. Thank you, Lauren.
Starting point is 00:34:05 You're welcome. All right. Now, when we come back, we got front-page news, and then we're going to take your phone calls, 800-585-105-1. We're talking about polygamous, right? The show on Netflix. You've been talking about that show, I swear, for like weeks now. Like, yes, because I feel like everybody should have seen it by now.
Starting point is 00:34:19 It's been out for a month. Now, if you're in a polygamous relationship, we would love to talk to you. So get on the phone lines. We'll break down while when we come back. We need the, mainly the women and the men of the polygamy. We need all in, well, no, it's polygamy. That's only something you get diagnosed with ass breakfast and then polygism. Hey, yo.
Starting point is 00:34:38 8005-85. 101 is the breakfast club. Come on the front page news is next. So Red didn't cut you off yesterday? No, he didn't. Damn, so he did not? He just do that when you're here. Damn.
Starting point is 00:34:47 That's crazy. Yep, y'all rub off on him. Yep. That's crazy. Morning, everybody is D.J. NV., just hilarious. Shalamey and the guy, we are the breakfast club. Let's get in some front page news. All right, we're going to start off with some sports.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Did you do the sports yesterday? I did. What did? I did. She said, Mexico won. Shut up. Yeah, I did. But LeBron, he left the Lakers.
Starting point is 00:35:08 And then also, somebody named Mitchell, somebody, took a $47.4 million contract. He paid for the Celtics. He paid for the Celtics. I did. I read it. All right. Well, the USA men's national soccer team was eliminated yesterday.
Starting point is 00:35:22 They lost to Belgium 4-2-1. Oh, my God. And Spain beat Portugal 1-2-0. Now, people have been talking about the USA and Belgium games. One of the players that play for the USA team. He got a red card, which means he was suspended and wasn't allowed to play. And they said Donald Trump called the president of FIFA. And said, now, we're not going to have that.
Starting point is 00:35:40 And allegedly, that's the reason why he was able to play. And then he tweeted and said, thank you, FIFA. Put him on blast. That's right. I've been hearing that story, and I had no idea what the hell is going on because I know nothing about FIFA of the World Cup. I just heard people saying something about a red card, and it was Donald Trump's fault.
Starting point is 00:35:55 They lost. I just thought it had something to do in immigration. Jesus. I thought a red card. I thought a red card was like a new card. No, dummy. I didn't know. Maybe they changed the color.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Green mean, gold, red means, stop. Oh, gosh. Can't you see Trump handing out red card to people he don't want? I do. That would be crazy. You see somebody? The green card means, go red card means.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Stop. What's up, Mimi? Good morning, NB, Charlemagne, Jess. Wait, Jess absolutely did sports yesterday. Thank you. Right. We absolutely held that down.
Starting point is 00:36:27 So I just have to say that. We did that before front page. All right, y'all. So we start this hour with some heartbreaking news out of Mississippi. So authorities say a body believed to be that of an 18, year old college player. Horrible. Nolan Wells, yes, has been found after a massive search on Horn Island. So the 18-year-old, he disappeared on Saturday while spending the 4th of July that weekend
Starting point is 00:36:52 on the barrier island with a group of friends. So his mother confirmed his death in an emotional post on Facebook. She wrote, her heart is broken, calling Nolan a special soul. Now, Wells was a wide receiver at the Southwest Mississippi Community College and was expected to return to campus. next month for football season. His school, they released a statement calling him a respected teammate and a friend who will be deeply missed.
Starting point is 00:37:18 Now, a park ranger found the body on Monday morning on the northwest side of the island officials. They are still waiting on DNA confirmation, but the sheriff and the coroner, they both say there is no reason to believe the body is anyone but Wells. Let's listen. Number one, give the family space and time. they are still processing this tragic event and all of Nolan's close friends. And we're still waiting for 100% confirmation.
Starting point is 00:37:48 I'll assure you that the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, we're looking at this whole case just like we would any other case, and we're going to be as thorough as we can. Wasn't he with a group of friends, Mimi? Yeah, that's my scene. Yep. He was with a group of friends. All the friends made it back, but he did not make it back.
Starting point is 00:38:06 but he did not make it back. He was the only black person in the group, right? Wow. He was the only black person. I feel like we hear this story like every couple of years. Like a bunch of kids that go out on a boat or something
Starting point is 00:38:17 and everybody will come back but that one black kid and it just, first of all, if that's your friend, how you leave your friend? More often than a couple of years, it means a lot. I hate we hear it too often.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Now there were stories that he was like going to see a girl, something like that and he got on another boat. But that girl, she made it home. And so there's still a lot of speculation as to exactly what happened to him, why his friends left him, how his phone
Starting point is 00:38:42 made it back, but he didn't make it back. His phone made it back? So, so everybody he's wish you'd be being questioned. Absolutely. Even a damn girl. And there are reports, which I have not confirmed this morning, but there are reports that one of
Starting point is 00:39:00 the young men who was on the boat, his mother is a judge. And so far, they say that each of the children they have already lawyered up. I feel so sorry for that young man's parents, man, because, you know, my daughter just turned 18 as well. And when you, you know, they've had a sense of independence
Starting point is 00:39:19 for the last couple of years, but as a parent, you always got that parental paranoia when they're out just doing things, you know, with their friends. And then just to probably just relinquish, you know what I mean, those rage just a little bit. And then to get that kind of news, I know that, man, that's got to be heartbreaking for his parents. Definitely sending healing energy to his parents.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Yeah, the same. It's like, you know, your son goes out. He goes out with his friends. He does things. They go to the beach. They go to the shore. They go to the air. And you go out.
Starting point is 00:39:46 And it's very scary. I would hate to get a call to say, hey, your son didn't make it back and nobody knows anything. But everybody else did. But it has to go back to the days where I remember, like, before I went out, my parents would know my friends. It'd be like, yeah. And their parents.
Starting point is 00:39:59 If Roshan doesn't come back, you all got black guys. If one don't come back, you all don't come back. You all don't come back. I mean, that was always the conversation as a kid. So sad. Sure. Very, very sad. And lastly, here, the FAA, they want to change a rule that's been in place for more than 50 years.
Starting point is 00:40:16 So if it happens, flying across the country will, you like this, will soon get a lot faster. So right now, commercial planes, they are not allowed to fly faster than the speed of sound over land because sonic booms. They were so loud, they would rattle homes. They would shake neighborhoods. Now, that's what it did back in 1973. But today, planes are not the same. The FAA, they have new technology. It's changed everything, making those sonic booms much, much quieter.
Starting point is 00:40:44 So if this proposal moves forward, flights from like Los Angeles to New York, they would take three hours instead of six hours. Now, this rule still has to go through approval process. And the FAA is hoping to finalize something like this by the year of 2027. So you're not booking that three-hour flight anytime soon, but it is a major source. step in the right direction. I'm not gonna book it when it comes. I don't need to go faster than the speed of sound. For what?
Starting point is 00:41:09 I'm gonna get the California to the West Coast when I get there. That was five, six hours. I'm cool. But they had one already, right? They had one a couple of years ago. I think it was British Airlines, not a couple years ago, but I think like 10, 15 years ago, that would fly to Paris really fast.
Starting point is 00:41:21 You know, that's why people used to age the way that they used to age. You wonder why Grady looked 76 when he was only 30-7. Yeah, he was 43 when they were flying at the speed of sound. Oh, that's why they used to age the way they used to age. I don't know if none of that is. it's true, but it sounds right.
Starting point is 00:41:36 I'm supposed to say, he probably wasn't flying from New York to L.A. I was. When you take that you take they didn't have planes back then? Oh my God. I don't know. Not on that type of plan. But Mimi, will this be more expensive or what? Like, what are we talking about cars? Wait for you to get to the money.
Starting point is 00:41:50 They haven't said yet, but I would assume if you're going to get there between, you know, three hours instead of six hours, they're going to charge you a little bit more or something like this. Yeah. You know. Don't need to do it. Yeah, I'm with you. I don't think I need to get there any faster. I'm going to take this six-hour flight and sit down and be quiet.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Put me on it. I'm on it. Yeah, please. I would love to. I hate being on a plane for more than three hours anyway. Madden Trave international? Like, if you got to go to Africa. Didn't you just teach your child about patients yesterday?
Starting point is 00:42:17 No, I'm cool. China. I get there when I get there. I got a fly China coming up in October. And that's like three days, ain't it? You're in the air. 16-hour flight, 15-hour flight? That got me in four hours.
Starting point is 00:42:28 That got me. Yeah. Thank you, Mimi. All right. Well, thank you, guys. That's your front page news. There's no way to hell I would want to get to China in four hours if it's supposed to be 15. The hell of y'all are you even talking about?
Starting point is 00:42:40 No. I don't want to move that fast. I want to move correctly. I am not in that much of a rush. Well, let's open up the phone lines. 800-585-105-1. There's a new show on Netflix. It's called Polygamous.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Now, if you listen to the Breakfast Club, you know, Jess has been talking about this show for weeks. I got a chance to watch it with the wife, and it's breakdown the show fast. Okay, so you did. There's no way to break it. down fast, but I'm going to go as fast as I can y'all. So it's this guy's name is Jonas Gamora. Okay? And he has one wife, but the wife don't know that he had a wife before her and then he got a wife after her and he ended up dying from AIDS. All right. So the question is 800585-105.1 in this polygamous relationship. Ladies, first
Starting point is 00:43:22 of all, would you be in a polygamous relationship for money? Now, on the show, the guy was rich. Filthy rich. J&J Construction. He was the owner of a construction company and it was him and his main wife's company or whatever, but she couldn't take that he kept cheating on whatever, so she arranged for her his side piece to be the second wife, but she didn't even know that it was a wife before her. So we had three wives whole
Starting point is 00:43:43 time when he died. So the question is 800 585105105.1, and this climate, everything is expensive. People are broke. Would you be in a polygamous relationship for money? A lot of women say, hey, I'll do it, just, you know, it is what it is. And if there's anybody out there in a polygamous relationship, and it's working, let's
Starting point is 00:43:59 discuss. And who's there for love? The Breakfast Club, good morning. It's topic time. Call 800-585-105-105-1 to join in to the discussion with the Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody, is DJNV, Just Hilarious. We do that again. Morning, everybody is DJNV, just hilarious. Salameen Nagar, we are the Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Now, if you're just joining us, 800-585-105-1, the polygamist is a show on Netflix. Just has been talking about for weeks now. Yes. And just break down the show quickly of what the show premise is. All right, so it's 22 episodes, y'all, y'all. And once you start watching it, you're going to be glued to you to see. I don't know how these two stop watching it. Anyway, listen.
Starting point is 00:44:43 So, Jonasi Gamora, he owns, he's this rich guy. He's the owner and founder of this big construction company. He's married to Joyce, Gamora. Based out of Africa, right? Based out of Africa, yes. I don't know what part. Don't get me the line. But it is so good, right?
Starting point is 00:44:56 Now, he's married to Joyce. But that's his main wife, right? Joyce didn't know that he was married. He got married right after college. to his first baby mother who kids, he don't even claim. And then he started sleeping with this other girl. Her name is Matipa. Okay, now she is gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:45:11 I love her down. Right now, he's started sleeping with her. And Joyce realized, all right, he's not going to leave this girl alone. But Joyce is a social media influencer, and she loves her life. She's an author as well. And so she's trying to keep up that image. She don't want to be divorced. And, you know, her brand falls the ish, right?
Starting point is 00:45:28 So she say, all right, she gives them an ultimate. Well, actually, she tells them that she's going to be yourself. second wife and we're just going to just keep the image up. There's more love for everybody, more love in the house. Cool. But then they are, them to find out about the third wife. But by then, he got AIDS. So then he died. All right.
Starting point is 00:45:46 So the question is, can you truly be in love in a polygamous relationship? I didn't tell them who he got it from. No, I just got it. I was listening to the story. Yeah. Now you're intrigued. Now you got around episode 17. So that is the question.
Starting point is 00:45:56 800-585-105-1. Can you truly be in love in a polygamous relationship? That is the question. What are your thoughts? I think the guy can, but the, I even think the women can, right? But at some point, yo, you have to be able to, like, how can you share your love evenly? How can you distribute the love evenly between two or more women? How can somebody feel like?
Starting point is 00:46:21 I don't think you can be in love, right? Fully love. What are you really loving, are you loving your lifestyle? Are you loving the fact that you have money? Do you have the fact that you have a house? Do you have the fact that you have a man and you could buy the cars? and bags and shoes and things that you want. That's what you're in love with.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Are you in love with that actual person? Because he's not giving you the time. He's not giving you his full energy. He's not giving you his full, you know, relationship and full love. So can you be in love with that? I don't think so. I'm a sensitive cancer. And so I need love.
Starting point is 00:46:50 So there's no way that I could be in a relationship, a polygative relationship if the other person is only there because of what I'm providing for them as far as finances. I would need that person to be in love with me. But how isn't that? emotionally exhausting for a man, yo, to love four different... Well, not even four.
Starting point is 00:47:08 You see how he was. He was disrespectful. He didn't care. Yeah, he didn't care, but some men actually do care. All polygamous relationships are not like that, I imagine. But he ran those relationships with money. Yeah, pretty much. I think the harder thing would be to get everybody to love each other, to get the two women to be in love and to get them to love.
Starting point is 00:47:24 Yeah, because that's not how they were on the show. No, the only thing I would want both women to love me, and I just need both women to have a love. for each other for each other. Hello, who's this? What's the guy? Hello. Virginia.
Starting point is 00:47:39 Hey, what's your name, brother? Sir? Hello? Hey, what's your name? You're right calling from Africa. Hello? This is Mike from 7457. Virginia.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Okay, Virginia, 757. Talk to us. He did sound African. Yeah, I was like, yes, you got one. Can you truly be in love with a polygamous relationship, sir? Me personally, no, I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I mean, weird and strange things have happened.
Starting point is 00:48:02 And some people can set aside this and that, but nah, I couldn't do it. Not for the money. Not for, you know, nah. Okay. Renee, good morning. Good morning. Good morning. I watch that show.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Good morning. I watch that show. It's very entertaining. But when we look at it, you know, love is an action word. How do they fall in love with a man? They only have no empathy for women. Yes. You know?
Starting point is 00:48:28 He had no empathy at all. He was crazy as hell. They didn't put his hands in a mental building. And his brother, what kind of family? The brother is going to be a husband, fake husband. For 19 years. And the daughter by the first wife, she need help. They all need help.
Starting point is 00:48:50 Everybody. And to be very honest, I like entertainment, but I'm going to tell you something, it looks bad. It looks bad for us. And the women, Joyce, I think one of you said that. Joyce was, you know, doing this and doing that. Joyce was stood stand up on her own two feet and leave that man alone. It's ridiculous. Yeah, but I like, but she got a revenge in the end.
Starting point is 00:49:13 You see what she did. She's really shot in. That lady was, she was really tired of it. Yeah, but she's more upset at how it depicts. But it's not real. You never know. Oh, because this lady was talking like it was real. Like, it makes us look bad.
Starting point is 00:49:24 It's a show. I know. It is a show. But I think that she's like the depiction of us or whatever. But, I mean, this is other. other cultures too. Like, I'm not going that deep with it. It's just like he was using his power.
Starting point is 00:49:36 Now, if you're just joining us, we're asking, can you truly be in love in a polygamous relationship? Now, this comes off of the show polygamy. It's called the polygamous. The polygamous on Netflix, y'all. Now, basically, it's about a guy who has a bunch of wives, and it seems like they're there for the money. Right? All
Starting point is 00:49:53 except Joyce. Joyce is really, actually all three of them in love with him. All three of them, but he treats them all like ish. I'm telling you. It's bed. Yeah. Yeah. But he treats him like he can buy them.
Starting point is 00:50:04 Yes. Right. Yep. You want a new house? We'll buy a new house. Yep. Exactly. We'll do this.
Starting point is 00:50:08 And all he wants is to get laid whenever he wants. Shorty gave birth like two weeks later. He was like, no, your mouth still worked. What's up? I mean, that's literally the whole point, though. That's why it's never good when you're treating somebody like their property. Like, when you can just pay for play. Like, you know, I would actually want somebody that loves me because with love comes
Starting point is 00:50:29 empathy. And I would want that from both sides. I would want the girl to love me and have empathy. And if I was a girl, I would want the man to love me and have empathy as well. But how do you love that? If you just gave birth and he says, I want this regardless. Like, how do you love that? So you're not loving the person.
Starting point is 00:50:43 You're loving the situation. But he's not wrong. But he kept, you know, chill out. No, no, what are you talking about? I'm saying he's not wrong in the fact that he wanted me. Her mouth did what? Your show, man. She just gave him a baby.
Starting point is 00:50:56 She had twins, too. She had twins. twin babies by this man. Totally that's what he was trying to penetrate. She was like, no, no, no. I can't. I still got stitches. He said,
Starting point is 00:51:07 all right, well, your mouth work, right? And that is some empathy. Where is the empathy, Sean? It don't work down there,
Starting point is 00:51:14 but your mouth still work. Why are we complicating this? Six weeks, I can't wait that long. Your mouth. That's crazy. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 00:51:22 It's Rainie from Connecticut. Hey, Rainey from Connecticut. Good morning. Hi, PJ, Hi, Caj, I've belated. Peace, please, thank you. Hey, Gwer.
Starting point is 00:51:32 I want to see. I went to see he was in Bridgeport, but I got to correct you for one thing before I answer the question. What? Okay, if you remember in a beginning, Joyce wasn't first wife because remember he went to a way of college and the girl friend, Espy's friend gave her a flyer, remember a flyer, and she saw him there with Joyce married. And so then he came to go home at the little village wedding. Okay.
Starting point is 00:51:57 And then remember, yep. Right. So Joyce is the first, Essie's the second. I'm sorry. And Matiba is the third. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I thought about it.
Starting point is 00:52:08 Right, right, right. The first baby mother saw it in the newspaper that he was married to somebody because Joyce already had money. And then he was like, no, no, no, no, don't worry about it. I'm going to marry you here. And they got married in the lower town because that wouldn't go nowhere. It never got back to Joyce. Okay, I'm sorry about that.
Starting point is 00:52:23 Y'all are really, really tapped in. Yeah, I'm tapped. That thing was that. Every episode was out of control. But, so. me personally I feel like when it comes to love, it's love and then being in love. I personally
Starting point is 00:52:35 believe that in love is the executive decision. There's no way that you can do everything for all three women or whatever. You know what I'm saying? So once you, you're going to know automatically when you're in love with somebody and that's your person because
Starting point is 00:52:50 you made the executive decision to do anything for that person. Somebody's going to fall by the way to life. Somebody's like, I'm not messing with it. I ain't doing it. You know, I just don't think that the polygamy thing works. That's just my personal opinion. I don't think you're wrong, but if you choose to be in a polygamous relationship, you're also making an executive decision to take care of that other person
Starting point is 00:53:11 in the polygamous relationship, too. You may not be in love with them, but you're still making an executive position to take care. Absolutely. And that's what he was going to have everybody. He probably has nothing to do with someone's going to be the one that you love. And I think that it's, honestly, I just think it's self-control, you know, a lot of times it's more about self-control. That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:53:31 And something I feel like when you get a lot of money, I don't care with who you are, it does something to you. Yeah. It does something to you. Yeah, absolutely. Hello, who's this? Hey, this is Crystal from Jersey. Crystal from Jersey.
Starting point is 00:53:44 What's that, Shored? Can you truly be in a love in a polygamous relationship, Crystal? I don't know about all of that. I'm with Charlotte May on this month. I'm a cancer. I need all of the love. I can't. My love can't be spread out.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Word. I'm selfish. They can't even have kids. I'm jealous like that. Yeah. Okay. Well, speaking of, kids, he definitely wasn't a good father. He wasn't a good dad.
Starting point is 00:54:08 He wasn't even a good dad to the ones that lived in the house with him. Yeah, I remember the one mom dropping the kids off at the side chick's house and was like, you take him. Yeah, take them. Because this is what you wanted. You decide chick. This is what you wanted. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 00:54:22 Hello, this is V from Miami. How you do it? NV. What's your mom? I love y'all. I've been watching y'all for over 10 years. Hey, girl. Thank you. Appreciate you, V. Now, can you truly be in love in a polygamous relationship, V?
Starting point is 00:54:34 I think you can be in love with what they can provide for you as far as being in love with the person for who they are. I don't think so because they have a split focus. Thank you so much. That's what I'm saying. You're in love with what they can do, but you can't actually love a person that's treating you like that. Like, how can you love, like, you love, like, you love your environment. You love your house. You love those things that you're getting, but you can't be in love with a person.
Starting point is 00:54:56 love. I am a cancer. Okay, I need to be hugged. I need to be told that I'm loved. I need to be treated like I'm loved. Like, I could care less about, you know, anything superficial. Like, I couldn't even be, I couldn't wake up every morning and be in a relationship where I'm just paying a person, you know, to do things for me. I'll be confident, I'll be in my head too much about it. So you don't really like me. I don't make her life hell just by being so insecure. Their lives were in hell. Like, they were living very hellish. to this man. Like, to this man's, like, no, they did everything that he wanted him to do. He didn't do. Nothing that they asked him to do. And he felt just so entitled because, yeah,
Starting point is 00:55:35 I bought your house, got your house, got your house, all your kids, got iPhones, y'all good. She would leave me. She would leave me because I'd be like, I'll be like, so you don't love me. You don't love me? See, but that would get them. He would say stuff like that
Starting point is 00:55:46 and then that would get them like, oh my God. Oh, yes, we do love you. Let me show me we love you. Yeah, oh, yeah. Don't want to fight another one in the nail hair salon. It'd be. Yeah, shoddy, pause. So you did watch at least like three episodes.
Starting point is 00:55:58 The wife had it on. He has some chaos going on. Yes, that's why I said you need to watch it. He ain't make her hop on one foot and bough like a dog? No, clown. They're not in that part of Africa. What's the moral of the story? They're more...
Starting point is 00:56:09 She's not from that's part of Africa. She's not from Zabunda. Yes, clown. They swear I was... Oh, my goodness. I don't know. You know what? Check out the belligamous on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Yes, that's the more of the story. Watch it. Very entertaining. Like I said, I watch it with wife. And I don't know. I think just that this is also like something that you should know about the creator of the polygamist, right? So this woman, this story is not new. She Ben wrote this like 13 years ago and everybody had told her no.
Starting point is 00:56:37 So she self-published it and it was picked up by Netflix. She's shopped at the Netflix. They picked it up. And so now she's getting her just due from this project. So I love it. All right. When we come back, we got the latest with Lauren. It's the breakfast.

I've gone through breast cancer and then helped my mother through breast cancer, and that was more difficult. There's a lot of people who understand postpartum depression. I was not prepared for postpartum anxiety. Olympic champ Sean Johnson revealed why she had no choice but to be a gymnast. There was something about gymnastics that was intoxicating to me.
Starting point is 00:58:08 It's given me a belief that we all have one of those treasures inside of us. We just have to find it. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. American soccer is exploding. The knockout rounds are here. The U.S. won their group, and now every match is winner go home. I'm Tad Ramos. And I'm Tom Boger.
Starting point is 00:58:39 On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, we'll talk about the real storylines. I'm not worried about Policic. I'm not worried about Balagan. I'm not worried about McKinney. My only concern is what happens in the back. And give you the truth about the U.S. national team from inside the program. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfinals or potentially a great run into the semifinals.
Starting point is 00:59:04 Whether you're a lifelong fan or this is your first World Cup. We've got you covered. Listen, inside American soccer with Tom Bogart and Tabramos in the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcast. Hey, everybody, it's the Jonas Brothers.
Starting point is 00:59:20 This week on the podcast, Hey Jonas, we're so excited to be hanging out with Mika Abdallah from the hit show off campus. Congratulations. Thank you. Thank you. Massive show and massive success. Got through about episode five.
Starting point is 00:59:31 I left the next morning to go meet the guys. Came back. I was like, cool, let's pick up where we left off. And that series had been completed without me. Oh, no. That's like the number one rule of watching something. It's literally cheating. It's cheating.
Starting point is 00:59:43 That's crazy. We talk about what it's been like watching the show become such a massive hit. What's next for season two? And just how close the off-campus cast really is. We're genuinely so close. What's the group chat called? If you can say, if it's allowed to be said on the pod.
Starting point is 00:59:57 That's a great question. One of them is off-campus Brazil. Okay, love it. Shout out Brazil. Shout out Brazil. And then the boys have their own group chat called Dean's B'I. Our conversation with Mika Abdallah is out now. Go check it out. Listen to Hey Jonas and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 01:00:19 Morning, everybody. It's DJ NV. Just hilarious. Salomey and the guy, we are the breakfast club. I want to salute to everybody. I ran into an essence again. I mentioned it earlier. And I just want to say I've never, I usually go to essence as a tap.
Starting point is 01:00:31 Meaning I go there, I speak on a podcast or I DJ, I get in and out. This weekend was the first time that I was there for three, four days straight throughout the whole time. And I got a chance to really experience it. And I know that sometimes we are hard on essence and hard on the festival for some of the things that people don't like or that they do like. But that is one of the things that I've seen that we really got to protect. I've never seen a place with over 100,000 people, close to 200,000 people where it's just us. And it's just activations and stuff for us. but there was beauty con where they gave away free makeup and
Starting point is 01:01:05 lipstick and they were giving away Vaseline they were giving away hair products they were given away bounty of paper towels they were giving away tearpons they were giving away so much different things and I know the lines were long the performances were amazing but people also got to remember that in that convention center everything is free it's free to get in and I just really really appreciate it
Starting point is 01:01:30 because I've seen a different side of it. And even, you know, we brought the car show there to the Essence Festival. Just people enjoy just being there, being with people that look like them, like-minded people. So I would just say, and salute to Tiana Taylor, who curated everything. And she was actually, she did such an amazing job because she was there. She was running around. She was talking to people, taking pictures, making sure things were right.
Starting point is 01:01:51 They did a phenomenal job. So I just want to salute to essence again. I've seen it on another level. And I just want to say you that. The Middkins always get so excited when they get around Black people. You know he brought the bodega. You know he had a bodega. Did you know that?
Starting point is 01:02:03 He had a bodega. The Dominican's gets so excited when they finally get to be around black people. I'm crazy. I brought the bodega because I wanted to just have a taste of New York in New Orleans, which is dope. I told him about your shorts too. He had, it was like basketball shorts and then they had like sold them together with like camouflage shorts. I said, that's not like a big crazy male away. People love to call us country.
Starting point is 01:02:26 They would love to call us having this country, but you just said this man had basketball shorts, with camouflage and satin? All sewn together in like one pair of shorts. It was like two shorts, but they were one. And somebody came together. She didn't say nothing about satin. Somebody must have told you. Somebody must have told you they looked stupid because I went on the page.
Starting point is 01:02:43 I told them. No video, no pictures or nothing. Yeah, I post a mad pictures of them. You ain't showed the top part. You ain't showed a little two pieces. Let's get to the latest with Lauren. I hate you. The latest with Lauren Lerosa.
Starting point is 01:02:56 Because you particularly are bringing the energy to mainstream radio with black. Radio. That sources trust. Did you hear that exclusive? Lauren. I'm a homeguard that knows a little bit about everything and everything. She'd be having the latest kind of.
Starting point is 01:03:07 You ask the question. They need to be answered. On the breakfast club. If little brown girls look at you and go, I want to be like you. L.L. Cubey. Talk to me. All right, y'all. So in case you guys are wondering, remember we talked about Lil Wayne being potentially engaged or married. He posted a video to clear it up after he missed the show over the weekend.
Starting point is 01:03:26 Let's take a listen. I would like to clear something up. No, I'm not engaged. I had a beautiful thing going on with an amazing person, but obviously, due to the validity of the temperature of today's crazy world and culture, I consider it I don't want to be such a burden on such an amazing person.
Starting point is 01:03:47 So, we decided to part. It sucks, but no, not engaged, but guess what? I am in Des Moines, Iowa next. Listen, Bangor, Maine. I got them on a f***ing. apologize to you personally again for real for real sorry for missing that show that tonight I have epilepsy and I have seizures right thank God I haven't had a seizure in years but seizures have triggers the trigger to my seizures are bad migraines
Starting point is 01:04:13 had a bad migraine that night it was recommended that I don't get in the air well I hope that he his health is better but didn't he before wasn't he performing at Michael Rubin party so listen it was a whole thing yeah so he posted so he did not show up to the show in Maine that he's referencing and then he posted photos or there were photos posted of him at Mike Rubin's party that weekend literally that 4th of July right the day before 4th July right so people were like well how can you make it to the party but then you not make it to the show so yeah people were really upset and then there was the same day though
Starting point is 01:04:44 were they the same night I believe it was my Rubin's party was July 1st I thought it was the third no July 1st I thought it was the same day yeah and I thought that's why fans were upset but I looked that out right now but I do know he then went out and did another show that weekend that same weekend and fans were online saying that he was too hours late for the show and they were upset about that as well too. And I'm just saying if you're gonna be sick for one thing, you gotta be sick for at least two days. You know, no, that's the way it goes.
Starting point is 01:05:06 Like stop. Even if you are really sick. My grain. Orp pretending to be sick and I'm not saying he is. I'm just saying you gotta just be, to make sure that you don't get this type of backlash. You just can't show up to nothing. Yeah, you can't miss my concert and then I see you perform with somebody else. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:05:20 Party. And it wasn't even. It wasn't a party. Especially, and white people at a white party? Yeah. Oh my God, it'll be people like there hoping you lose all your hair. People got to remember, people make arrangements. Like, they get babysitting.
Starting point is 01:05:32 Some people fly in and drive in. They take off. Like, they make arrangements for this. So it messes up a lot. So from what I'm seeing online, the show was June 30th. Tuesday, June 30th in Maine. And then he would have been at my groupings party. July 1st.
Starting point is 01:05:44 Yeah, so that's why people are upset. But I think, yes, even if it was a couple days out, people are like, well, if you're healing, you're healing. You got to be sick for 48 hours. I'm telling you, if you got a big event and you don't show up for it, you can't show up for nothing. That's the way to do it. Am I lying, Jess? No. Oh, my God. But that's what you know? What you're asking for? Because first of all,
Starting point is 01:06:06 don't do me like that. I show up everywhere I post to me. You only had COVID like a couple times though. Yeah. Yeah, but then you saw her headdress on her. Shut up. Shut up. Excuse me. Excuse me. And then she's like, that's the whole video. That's all the video. No, black girls in their braids. Because it only be when she gets braced.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Black girls in their braids, leave her alone. And I don't be feeling good. People don't be understanding. You know, you go through things. But. But. But. But. So speaking of, because he also talked about not being in this engagement that we thought was happening. But speaking of married couples, there's a report that people did about Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, right? So the report, I'm going to read all the headline. Jada Pinkett Smith moved back in with husband, Will Smith two years ago.
Starting point is 01:06:44 They are happy and love each other. Now, this is on an exclusive source, right? Now, the reason why people are even having a conversation about this is because Jada Pinkett, we know, has had conversations about them being still married, but living completely separate lives. She talked to the Today Show in 2023 about this. Let's take a listen. The thing that surprised me the most was that in 2016, you and Will decided that you were going to live completely separate lives. It was not a divorce on paper, but it was a divorce. So from the year 2016, which is seven years ago now, you all have been apart.
Starting point is 01:07:24 Yeah. Yeah, so this story is, I guess, like an update that they've been moved back then together. But even within that time, like we've seen them together. She spoke, even when she, Jade Pink was here on the breakfast club. Like, she's had conversations about the fact that they were just figuring it out. Like, things went where it went, and then they were just figuring it out. But every time people see Will Smith and Jada Pinkett together, they act as if, like, we don't know that they're together. Like, it's like, it stops the world, photos, anything.
Starting point is 01:07:49 I mean, she definitely said that they wasn't. But they're married. Like, at the end of the day, regardless of, like, any conversation. It was like a whole book tour, like every stop. It was, you know what she's saying? But she says, even though all that was happening, legally they couldn't even get past doing it on paper because they were stuck at trying to figure out
Starting point is 01:08:07 what was going to happen next. I just don't know why people would be so surprised. Like, they're married. They've been together forever. I have no idea why people care where Jay and Pinkett Smith lives at or who she lives with. Now, that is a bit. I'm a Pinkett Smith.
Starting point is 01:08:18 No, because when you find out that... Why is this a headline again? And I thought they lived on the same estate. They just different houses because he has a estate. Yeah. And who cares? People, now that's taking out their relationship. I think it's crazy that people are surprised that they moved back in together and they're like back.
Starting point is 01:08:32 Like, as one, I think that's crazy. But then say it's crazy that people just care in general, no. When you hear that a couple is like together but like completely not and you didn't know that. Yeah, but why is that your business? Once you tell us to Jess's point, once you tell us, she did a whole worthy book to her. Well, wait for she writing another book. Well, look, that's true. I'm just telling you.
Starting point is 01:08:52 But essentially they're back in the same house. That's what Jay to me. Jayda needs a substack. You got to keep people updated. I'm happy that they are in the, they are back together, whatever. But when you put stuff out there like that. Yeah, that's true. They were relationship goals for everybody coming up.
Starting point is 01:09:06 But you said people were surprised. But why are people surprised? Even before B and J, it was Jada Pinkett and Will Smith. Remember the Red Table Talk when they did a bad marriage for life? You know what I'm saying? I was like, that's when it started. Yeah. That's what's missing.
Starting point is 01:09:21 What, the Red Table Talk? I had to bring the Red Table Talked. You either need a red table or a substack. One of the two is, J. These people want updates. That's what y'all want. Y'all want updates. Yes.
Starting point is 01:09:30 That's what it seemed like Will wasn't happy. Nah, this bitch talking too much. The red table, it was a lot that they were put out. He took the table out. I believe so. I believe so. Nah, that show was killing them. I'll come back, but you got to take this table out?
Starting point is 01:09:43 I don't know. But I'm happy that they all back together. Allegedly. This is all the source. They're back in the same house. In case you guys. The Smith. That is the latest with Laura.
Starting point is 01:09:53 Salomon. Who are giving that down. Man, four after the hour, there's a right-wing political commentator named Benny Johnson. He needs to come to the front of the congregation. He thinks that Jess and Lauren A had nothing to do with the founding of America. Oh, boy. You're probably right about those, too. But black women and gentlemen.
Starting point is 01:10:08 I got with you, man. All right. We'll get you that next. Damn. It's the breakfast club. Go ahead. Tell us. It's time for donkey of the day.
Starting point is 01:10:15 There's a bunch of donkeys out here in the street. I ought to make donkey today. Called donkey of the day. It really caught me off guard. We live a life where we fight our tongue based off who we may offend. You never would say anything. Sholomey, give a tour. Give it to him.
Starting point is 01:10:27 You are a donkey. That is why Shalemaine is he? Some donkey today just saw themselves. On the breakfast club. Okay, Shalemay, who you're giving donkey of the day to today? What? Donkey today for Tuesday, July 7th, the mega influencer Benny Johnson.
Starting point is 01:10:44 Benny Johnson is the host of the Benny Show, which is described as an independent conservative news, commentary, and podcast. Okay, it focuses on right link, right leaning political commentary. Okay. And yesterday I saw a headline that said, MAGA influence of Benny Johnson says
Starting point is 01:11:01 Black women's only contribution to America's founding was getting raped by Thomas Jefferson. Jesus. Let's listen. Name. I want a name. Okay. I need a name of a single black woman that had something to do with America's founding.
Starting point is 01:11:14 Go. I can think of like, didn't Thomas Jefferson have like half his family? Like with out of wedlock? with the slaves, I think. Isn't that historic? Anyway, anyway. That's like as close as I can get. Right wing, watch.
Starting point is 01:11:32 I'll put some more sauce on that headline. I mean, Jesus Christ, what Benny actually said was didn't Thomas Jefferson have, like half his family out of wedlock? And he said that no black woman was a founding father. Okay, that was in reply to Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett's statement that America owes black women everything. Can we hear what Sister Jasmine had to say?
Starting point is 01:11:51 So when it comes to answering the question of what America owes black women, the answer is everything. When we think about the sacrifices that black women have made from the moment that we were stolen from our homelands and transported into this country to the fact that black women continue to stand as the backbone specifically of the Democratic Party, we know that black women are always the ones that are doing the labor, but we are also the ones that are always the first targets. This 4th of July, I say celebrate a black woman that you know because whether it's an invention that she made
Starting point is 01:12:25 or whether it's the very democracy that still hangs by a thread right now there is a black woman to thank for her contributions drop one of clues bonds of Jasmine Crockett this is why I hate the internet Jasmine's statement in his full context makes perfect sense and that headline
Starting point is 01:12:42 compressed what she actually said into just a provocative soundbite okay something to get the people going Jasmine is correct black women have made extraordinary sacrifices in slavery Black women have historically contributed significantly to American society and democracy. Black women have been the key voting block, okay, in organizing force within the Democratic Party. Therefore, America owes a black woman a great debt, okay?
Starting point is 01:13:08 And you can say everything because of those contributions. Whether somebody agrees, you know, depends largely on how they interpret the word, everything. But America definitely owes black women a great debt. Now, Benny Johnson, why did that statement prompt that headline? Okay, that type of headline that, you know, black women's only contribution to America's founding was getting raped by Thomas Jefferson. Well, that's because the internet, you know, likes provocative headlines. Okay, it's what gets the people going, all right? Benny said, didn't Thomas Jefferson have like half his family out of wedlock?
Starting point is 01:13:38 The answer is yes. Okay, and it was a 16-year-old enslaved girl who was his property. And I'm sure didn't give consent. So that's how that headline could be crafted, Benny, in case you're wondering. But I want to talk about what you said in regard to the black women. having no meaningful role in the founding of the United States of America, or that it's inaccurate to say that they were foundational to the country being built. Well, I think it's the difference between formal political power,
Starting point is 01:14:04 like being a founding father and historical contribution. Okay, you don't have to agree with somebody saying America owes black women everything. That's a rhetorical statement. We can debate whether it's an exaggeration. But when you respond by acting like black women had no role in America's founding, development. That's when you earn your he-haws. Okay. See too many people confuse having political power with creating value. Yes, the founding fathers wrote the documents. That's true. But the country was built by more than just the people who signed the founding documents. Okay.
Starting point is 01:14:37 Enslaved black people, including black women, performed labor that helped build the economy. Okay. Game cock suckers. All right. And federal infrastructure. All right. They had no political rights, but they absolutely contributed to the nation's development. As my sister Angela Ryas said for years, we built this joint for free. Okay, who was growing the tobacco? Who was picking the cotton? Who was raising generations of children, both their own and often white peoples? Okay, yes, you were sucking off the titty of black women.
Starting point is 01:15:05 Black women were keeping communities together while being denied basic human rights. Nobody is saying black women signed the Declaration of Independence or drafted the Constitution. What people are saying is that you cannot tell the story of America honestly while pretending the labor, resilience and sacrifices of black women weren't essential to what this country became. Okay, and let's be clear. If your version of patriotism requires deleting people's contributions because acknowledging them makes you uncomfortable, that's not patriotism. That's insecurity.
Starting point is 01:15:36 And a good therapist is going to always tell you to address your insecurities, Benny. Okay, explore their root causes so you can replace harsh, self-critical thoughts with healthier emotional patterns. Okay? Listen, Benny and, you know, everybody out there that feels like him. America is a complicated story. The founders, I guess, deserve recognition, but so do the soldiers and the immigrants and the farmers and the factory workers, the Native Americans, the enslaved Africans. And yes, black women, okay, because countries are not built by politicians alone.
Starting point is 01:16:11 All right? They're built by millions of people whose names never make the history books, even though there are black women's names in these history books who help to build this country. Salute the right wing watch on Instagram. They pointed out figures like Phyllis Wheatley, the first African-American woman and one of the first women in the colonies to publish a book of poetry. Okay, George Washington personally corresponded with her and invited her to visit him after she wrote a poem honoring him. Her work was used by abolitionists as evidence of black intellectual equality.
Starting point is 01:16:42 Also Elizabeth Freeman, who sued for her freedom in 1781, arguing that the state's new constitutional language, all men are born free and equal applied to her to. She won. And the case helped to end slavery in Massachusetts. So Benny, a nation's foundation isn't just the people who signed the papers. It's also the people whose labor made the nation possible. Please give Benny Johnson the sweet sounds of the hamletones. Oh, now you are the donkey.
Starting point is 01:17:14 of the day It was another part too He said What was the part about I couldn't understand What he was saying? He said name and invention From a black woman
Starting point is 01:17:35 Yeah he just And Crockett right now Name of invention from black women Go Yeah he said name and invention He had explode on a name and invention What's wrong with his Google? No idea because like I'm looking at
Starting point is 01:17:46 So many inventions from black women Dr. Gladys West invented the GPS Dr. Shirley Jackson She invented collar R.D. Valley, Valerie Thomas, a NASA scientist who invented the illusion transmitter in 1980. Like, it was a black woman who invented the home security system. Yes, that is. I think it was Marie Brown.
Starting point is 01:18:06 Yep, Dr. I think she was a nurse. Nurse Marie. Marie Brown. Yep, yep. Yep. Yep. Yep.
Starting point is 01:18:13 Yep. But it's something, Madam C.J. Walker, hair care. We got black women who invented. I don't understand. Home and everyday life, medicine and science. Like, I mean, I don't understand. You just had to Google. Do your Googles.
Starting point is 01:18:25 That's it. All right. Well, thank you for that donkey today. Now, let's open up the phone lines, 800585105.1. Where's Lauren at? We were talking behind the scenes about something that allegedly happened
Starting point is 01:18:38 during Essence conference or essence talk. What the hell is Lauren? But look, real quick, the first black woman to invent something was Judy W. Reed in 1884. She invented the donator and roller designed to mix and roll dough more evenly. All right.
Starting point is 01:18:57 Handled it. You said, do needer. Don't know. It's not like you were saying, Donater. No, dough needer. Enroller. Doeater.
Starting point is 01:19:06 So the question is, 800-585-10. This is exactly why. This is why Benny don't think black women had anything. Oh, my God. You know you were supposed to be here about that. Yes, I said.
Starting point is 01:19:18 You know you were supposed to be here. Sorry. What have you all done? so far. Nothing. We went to you. Oh, what happened with allegedly with Tamar and Candy? So on Sunday, to close up the
Starting point is 01:19:30 Essence Festival, they did, like, they honored, like, black women in music. Yes. And there was a line of people taking a photo at the event. You had Monica, Anthony Anderson, Brandy, Candy Birds, and you see Tamar walk up to, like, get in that line of the photo, but as she does
Starting point is 01:19:46 that, she stops and she speaks to Candy briefly, and Candy doesn't really give her much at all. And then you saw this? Yes, in a video. She gave her, she said, hi. It was very like... I like this.
Starting point is 01:19:59 Yeah, it was very... I like close and personal, Kenny, no, I wasn't there. I'd already left. I saw the video, but I have spoken to people that were there, though. So, yeah, so she says something to Candy.
Starting point is 01:20:10 Candy keeps it very brief. And then she tries to get in the line of the photos, like, they're holding hands. So she tries to, like, either open Monica's hand and get in the line or, like, just taps to just also acknowledge her as well, too.
Starting point is 01:20:21 Monica keeps it very brief. and cute as well too. So people were, you know, just talking about the fact that they basically paid her dust as she was trying to just be nice. Of course, you know, TAMAR has been on that, like, I don't want to need issues in my life right now. Gotcha. I'm restarting. I don't, you know what I mean? And they've had past things.
Starting point is 01:20:35 So this came out of this question we were talking behind the scenes, 800585105.15, right? If you don't like a person, right, or this, a feeling of, I don't F with you, why I speak to them, right? And the reason this came up. Or do you speak to them? I don't speak to them. If I don't F with you, you know. You can feel it. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:20:52 I don't talk to you, don't look at me, don't even come past my way. Don't reach your hand out because you did some F-ish to me. I don't want your energy around me. It's middle finger till you die. Now, Charlemagne. But Essence was so much love and it's black women of music. You got Missy being honored. If I don't like you in Queens.
Starting point is 01:21:09 If I don't like you in Queens, I ain't like you in New Orleans. It don't matter where we are. But the reason the question came up is because Charlemagne, if somebody doesn't like Charlemagne and he's in the room, Charlemagne still speaks. Hey, how you doing? God bless you. That's not me. But to be fair, Ken.
Starting point is 01:21:22 He spoke, it was just brief. Like Kennedy spoke, she kept me cute. Go ahead. First of all, there's only a few people I really, really truly don't like. And if I'm in the room with them, then I probably don't really have an issue. You nod your head. You say hello. Yeah, because it's just like most of the time people don't be having that same energy in Poland.
Starting point is 01:21:38 Nobody has that same energy. But there's nobody, there's only a couple of people on this planet I really truly don't like. Yeah, but I don't even want that energy. And if I'm in the same room with them, my life has gotten very terrible, guys. I don't want you all over. I mean, man, there's no reason. for any of my house. To be in a room with me.
Starting point is 01:21:54 Tusha. Why would you ever be in a room with me? Listen. That's crazy. We saw your ocean name in the room with you. We saw you in the ocean. 805-105-1. If you're in a room with somebody,
Starting point is 01:22:08 you don't like it, everybody's being called you. Do you speak? I don't. Simple. Let's discuss. It's the breakfast club. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:22:14 Morning, everybody. J.N.V. Just hilarious. Shalamey and the guy. We are the breakfast club. Laura on the roast is here as well. If you're just joining us, were asking 800585151
Starting point is 01:22:24 if you don't like somebody and you see them, do you speak or do you just leave it alone? Now this conversation was, it came out of, this is not exactly what happened, but it came out of essence. They did a women's empowerment. They did.
Starting point is 01:22:36 It was a black, they brought back the black women and music event. So they closed it. I was a brunch on Sunday. They closed out the weekend with that. And there's a video of a bunch of different people. Brandy Monica, Candy Burris,
Starting point is 01:22:49 Anthony Anderson and Tamar Braxton is in the as well missy ellis in the video too tamar's trying to get into the line of like the photos that they're taking and she comes up and she speaks to candy and candy just keeps it very very brief very cute and then Monica like really doesn't really say much to her doesn't really acknowledge her much and people are talking about the fact that she was trying to like either get in the line that take the photos with them or what but monica didn't break that hand that hand hold to let her into the line so one hand she had one hand with candy is there not issues and they're pointing to old things but i think they kept it cute like
Starting point is 01:23:19 i mean what you want them to do so now what about you just I mean, listen, it depends. It depends on what you did. You know what I mean? Most of the time, no, I don't like you. I'm not going to say nothing to you. You know what I mean? Like, I don't have to speak to you.
Starting point is 01:23:31 It's cool for us not to deal with each other and don't say nothing to each other. That's more professional. That's a suitable way to go about it. But like, if you come up to me, you know I don't like you. We don't like each other. You come in and be like, hey, I want to have a conversation. Let's talk about what happened. All right, I'm open to that.
Starting point is 01:23:47 Now, whether or not we sort it out right then and there. Okay, cool. But for the most part, no. I'm not walking up to you speaking. I'm not talking. If you said some foul-ish... And if you said some foul-ish... I'm going to pull you to the corner and we're going to have a conversation.
Starting point is 01:24:00 I don't mind the conversation, but I'm not going to sit there and that. You have a conversation. So if somebody that you don't... I have a conversation with everybody. If somebody says something to me, I'll pull you to the corner. Let's have a conversation. I'm not against that, but the only thing is that you don't know how I was going to go sometimes. It is what it is.
Starting point is 01:24:12 That's what I'm saying. I may not get this sort of out right there. But say this is, in essence, somebody that you didn't like came up to you. Hey, yo, can I talk to you for a minute? Like I just want to holl at you about whatever it is I did or whatever and y'all's chop it up talk. Y'all ain't got to be friends but now it's not F him for life. It is all right, we called you. I mean, there's only a few people in my world that I'm like F them for life. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:24:33 But also, I'm not a fake person. So I know if I've said something about you over the years and I remember saying it about you, I'm not about to walk up to you and try to shake your hands. I don't. I don't remember a lot of a lot. You don't either. I know. I definitely don't.
Starting point is 01:24:46 I don't know somebody like it. It depends on the day and the time. But I think it's nothing wrong in this type of setting. Like, especially y'all know all these cameras is on you. Just get through it. Like, what are you going to cause a scene for? This is viral. But no, if my people don't mess with you, I don't want to effort you in.
Starting point is 01:25:03 Yeah, yeah. Like, I was supposed to do something in essence, right? Lauren said, curse this dude out in the club, right? And because she cursed the dude out in the club, I did not work with the dude. And I didn't even know the dude. Oh, yeah. Just because you cursed the dude out of that. I didn't even know if the dude was wrong or not.
Starting point is 01:25:18 Who I curse out? One of your old holes? Don't ever make me like that. I don't have old old. I know. I don't know who you said about. Curse this dude out. I needed the dude for something.
Starting point is 01:25:28 Because she cursed him out. I was like, I didn't go mess with him. Oh, you needed them for something too. It was all fresh and new. I was V-car before I met my memory now. Who you cursed out of the club? I didn't curse him. You were talking about the boy that walked up to say hi.
Starting point is 01:25:39 My friend's ex. You were going to work with him? Time out. Did you just say you was a what? A V-car. Nobody before. this relationship matters and there's nothing to talk about. So you were a virgin.
Starting point is 01:25:50 She was a newborn virgin before her man now. Nothing matters. Oh, that's the V-Qaeda. Nothing matters. And there's nothing to talk about. But that's just your- I don't know why we spend the time. You got to get baptized with no drawers on.
Starting point is 01:26:02 I didn't know. First of all, I didn't use a curse word at all when I spoke to him. Yes, you did. I did not use a curse word. No, June was sitting right next to me. We in the club. She cursed this dude out crazy.
Starting point is 01:26:11 I didn't curse him out. After the dude just said, yo, envy, I'm going to come to the thing because he's a barber. I'm going to cut your head a mom. Oh, yeah, we're talking about the same guy. So I'll say, I bet. She cursed him out in the middle of club.
Starting point is 01:26:20 Is one of your old home? No, my, actually, it's one of my, like, sisters. Oh, that's when I gave you the haircut. Shut up. You know what you gave him. You haven't forgiven. I'm with you on that. No.
Starting point is 01:26:29 I'm with you, Lord. No. One of my sister is her ex-boyfriend. It's up for him for ever. And he was a horrible ex-boyfriend. Like, I mean, bad, bad. And I've never met him in person. And he, horrible.
Starting point is 01:26:38 And he came up to me and said, hey, I'm such and such-and-such-such-it-s-ex. I said, oh, hi, not the ex. And I just started naming all the stuff. She started going in on it. It's a club. The middle of the club, she's cursing out. I'm like, you know what? I didn't use a curse word.
Starting point is 01:26:51 And he was the polygamous. I don't even know you when I hate you. I don't even know. I hate your guts. I'm waiting for him. Yeah. Staying on business. I didn't know you were going to work with him,
Starting point is 01:27:00 I probably would have kept the list a little shorter. My bad. We said about cutting your head. It was a little shorter. She just kept going and going and going. And now we're just getting back. Damn. You're getting back, Lauren.
Starting point is 01:27:10 You're so sadden. You're solid. Hello, who's this? This is Sonia in Houston. May it time from Houston. Talk to us. What's your thoughts? If they speak to me, I will speak and keep it cute.
Starting point is 01:27:22 But other than that, I won't even have a contact. I'm with you. I probably ain't speaking back. But thank you, Mama. Hello, who's this? Leroy. Leroy. What's up, Leroy?
Starting point is 01:27:33 What's happening? Talk to us, Leroy. Yeah, no. If there's somebody I don't like, they did. something to me, like real bad. And with that being said, I'm not going to highlight you. I'm not going to speak to you.
Starting point is 01:27:48 If I got your phone number, it's blocked. We have social media. You're blocked. Don't highlight me. I can hollat you. Okay. Thank you, brother. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 01:27:57 Kieran. Karen, good morning. Talk to us. What's your thoughts, Karen? So, my name's Kira, but yeah, I'm in the military. So we have to be professional at all the time. I was in the Navy. And we have to be professional all the time.
Starting point is 01:28:10 And so I have to speak to people that I don't like A lot of the time to get things done It's just the way it is So yeah, I believe it's okay to speak to people When you don't like them Like I'm gonna say hi, I'm gonna say good morning I'm gonna put a smile on my face Because I need you to do something
Starting point is 01:28:27 And likely, the likelihood of you doing it Because I'm being nice It's greater than if I just don't speak to you all the time I agree with you wholeheartedly I think that we're conflating two different things Yeah, that's a difference There's people that I don't like that I can deal with, especially in the workplace.
Starting point is 01:28:42 But I think we're talking about people who have actually tried to hurt us in some way, shape, but but if you do something where I think is disrespectful, or you do try to hurt me, or you talk negatively about me, I learn negatively about me. I just don't need that energy in my life. You know, before I would approach it all the time, but to be honest, life is good.
Starting point is 01:29:00 Yeah. And I don't need you in my life. Right. You know what I mean? So I'll let you see from the outside. Yeah. And I'm cool with that. And a lot of the times I don't even mind the negative talk
Starting point is 01:29:07 because these people don't be knowing us for real. That's true. I mean, and I'm not about to try to convince you either. Nope. Yeah. But if by, you know, some strange circumstance, God decides to bless you with the honor and privilege of being in the same room that I'm in, because I don't know how that could ever happen. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:29:22 I told you already. The bus run everywhere. The bus. The hell was wrong with you. But if that ever happens, I'm going to say, what's up? That's just because that's my energy. I always say, you know, God isn't going to, you know, judge me based off how people treat me. He's going to judge me based off how I treat people.
Starting point is 01:29:38 So my energy is going to always be. peace, how are you? And keep it moving. Yeah. Not me. All right. Well, we got the latest with Lauren coming up what we're talking about. Yes, we do have the latest with Lauren coming up.

Now when we talked about the police reports, remember I told you guys that there were multiple police reports, one that I saw described a video of them in a studio or of some sort or music room of some sort which is where she fell into a door and or she alleges that
Starting point is 01:35:36 she was shoved into a door and there was a... He both fell into the door. But in the video you see them both fall into the door and there's a mark on her face that she posted was sparked all of this. Now, fast forward from there. There's a conversation about text messages and a phone that had happened in one of the police reports. And now there's video of the oven argument about a phone with Big Tick and Alicia. Let's take a listen to the video.
Starting point is 01:35:55 Get off my phone. Get off of me. Get off my phone. Get off of me. Get off of me. You know what are you needed for? Get off of you. What are you meeting for?
Starting point is 01:36:01 Get off you. Please get off you. My phone. You're sticking my every in my ear. Oh, sorry. Get off of me. Girl, I'm not seeing Autumn Cron. I'm not doing it, but she dron.
Starting point is 01:36:15 You're literally stepping over her. I'm not stepping on Alex. I just want my phone. She could give me the phone and it'll be over. She could give me the phone and it would be over. Bro, just get over here. She's gonna give me. I'm not on her at all.
Starting point is 01:36:28 See, if I was anybody else, you would be doing this. Bro, just get over her. You can buy a new phone. Get up for me! Mr. Tagger! Get up for me! Mr. Tigger! Get off of her now.
Starting point is 01:36:39 Mr. Tigger. Now, I don't. I don't, I don't, I don't condone Mr. Tigger. I don't condone Mr. Tigger. But that wasn't domestic violence. But that wasn't domestic violence. They were fighting over a phone, right?
Starting point is 01:36:50 He did not hit her. He did not strike her. Don't say they were fighting. You have to be clear about what was happening in the video. They were. He was trying to get the phone out of her hand. He was like a tussle of some sort. From his wife.
Starting point is 01:37:00 It was, he didn't, he didn't strike her. They were, he was trying to get the phone back. Now, listen. If I'm so hurt and I got somebody phone, Take it back, baby. Because I don't want to be here. So, he can't take it. Why can't just get a phone?
Starting point is 01:37:12 She? No, no. Why didn't you get the phone back? I don't know. Who was that recording? Because he was making it worse. That's the tiger. It sounds like a woman.
Starting point is 01:37:24 Now, the page that is uploaded this video, one of the videos is captioned Big Tigger beating his wife. But again, in the video, you don't see him. Strike her, strike her at all. And then there's another caption that says the same thing as well, too. So they're uploading. in the midst of him saying he's not going back on the radio and, you know, some of the reporting.
Starting point is 01:37:42 Do you know if that's the same day of the other video that we see? I do not know. And remember, the very first dispute that they had that was being investigated was back in May. I did try and find out if it was or not, but I haven't heard back anything. But I do not know the answer that question. You also, man, you can't come to any conclusions based off clips.
Starting point is 01:37:58 Like, we don't know any of the context and any of that stuff. So honestly, it's just best for everybody to shut the hell up. But what things play out. I think that's why he stepped away from his job because he wanted to be able to comment. it down so he could just figure out things behind the scenes. Yeah, but when the captions say Big Tigger
Starting point is 01:38:12 beat his wife, you know what I mean? That's done for a reason, right? Because it goes viral and now people, a lot of people don't even watch the video. They just see the caption and say, oh my God, you see that video, but that's not what that video displays. And then even going back to when she first came out and said, like, asked my husband why my face happened,
Starting point is 01:38:28 and then she came back and was like, I never said that he hit me. I never said he you know, it's just, it's a bunch of, it's too blurry. You know, it's so crazy for years, right? Literally for years. on social media, you see all these memes about what guys do or what people doing when they get their phone taking?
Starting point is 01:38:44 They normally, you've got, if you're really trying to get in it, go into the bathroom and lock the door. Y'all can't get through the door. You did that before? I've done that before. That's crazy. Yeah, and come out that bathroom, pissed. Do you apologize and you don't find nothing but Bible scriptures? Looking dumb. No, I don't know. You don't see nothing but Sarah Jake Robbins videos and
Starting point is 01:38:59 Bishop T. Jake videos. Ain't know why you know. I said. Do you apologize? Now you know found a lady and found God. I don't believe it. When you see me with nothing but cookies open trying to find you the perfect Valentine's Day gift. Do you apologize? No, I think you get even more mad when you don't find something.
Starting point is 01:39:13 It'd be like, oh. You don't get mad to me because you ain't find nothing. You got me. Yeah, but it's like, he's sneaky. That's when he's sneaky, real sneaky. Because I used to have a nigga who is like a calculator ass. And he would type in the numbers and then a book for a whole different messaging thread.
Starting point is 01:39:29 Child, I remember one time I guessed a voicemail pass code. Oh, it was. And the things you heard. It was horrible. Lord. Well, again, one, two, three, four. No. It was the same, it was like a birthday.
Starting point is 01:39:41 And I think it was like either his mom's or grandma, it was just not good. But, yeah, there are, listen, I don't even want them issues no more in my life at all, ever again. But yes, moving on as we wrap this. You know, I was thinking, even when when Tick said he want to step away from the microphone, like it's hard to, you know, let this play out when it's playing out in the court of public opinion. But what's his other option? I don't know. Well, that's a difficult thing because when you see captions like that,
Starting point is 01:40:06 Nothing comes from that good, right? Because now you've got to fight to change those captions because there's a lot of people that never won't watch this video They'll just see the caption and people follow these stupid dumb-ass cabbies You're guilty until proven innocent By then you lost everything you had Correct
Starting point is 01:40:20 But if you take it out of social media And out of public the court of public opinion The videos and all that At the in the middle of this It's the fact that she was granted a protective order He can't see his son right now And there is actually charge Like the DA decided to charge somebody
Starting point is 01:40:34 So it's like why Why did it get to that point if no one's been like there's a lot of questions here You know what I mean like there's a lot of questions so that's probably why he stepped away because it takes away from the business that his job is trying to do on the station But I know it's hard having a platform and watching people like Heck yeah Tell your story in real life you can't see your son and all these things and the thing is he can't talk about it because it's an ongoing court case So he's supposed to just shut up but it's I'm sure it's probably better to shut up and let everything play out in the court of law instead of wearing about what's happening in the court of public opinion.
Starting point is 01:41:08 That's the problem with a lot of people nowadays. They're trying to, you know, get the court of public opinion on their side. If you got cases and stuff, you better worry about that court of law. They're in there, yeah. Yeah. We ain't in there with you all.
Starting point is 01:41:19 Yeah, and there's a kid in the midst of all of this. That's the big thing, too, you know? All right. Yeah. Well, that was brought to you guys by Top Dog Law. Any accident, bigger, small, called Top Dog Law. All right. Now let's get to the people's choice mix.
Starting point is 01:41:30 Get your ass up. I'm tired. I'm tired. I'm tired. Really? I'm tired. That was me yesterday. I slept so, like most of the day yesterday.
Starting point is 01:41:38 For two days, I've been flying, I would say I've been nine, ten hours. I'm not tired. I'm so refreshed. Thank you to the beautiful island of Van Gogh. Everybody says y'all to work on your vacation. I take vacation. Everybody, life is set up differently, Sholomane. I know.
Starting point is 01:41:51 It's the breakfast. Thank you, God. Morning, everybody. It's D.J. NV. Just hilarious. Sholamaine, the guy. We are the breakfast club. Again, I just want to salute to Essence Festival.
Starting point is 01:42:00 I had an amazing time. You take one non-black person to Essence Festival. And now they lose their mind. You can't believe what you thought. I go there. I actually go every year, but usually I'm there as talent and I'm in and out. Just do my show or do my party or do my panel. But this time we were there for four days in the convention center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Starting point is 01:42:22 And you just got an opportunity to see how things are put together, how it works, all the activations that are there, how much effort and energy that is put into it. And all the love. I just want to say that if you get an opportunity, definitely check it out because that is probably one of the only shows. in size that's just primarily for us. Who is us? Black people. Yes, black people. Who is us? Primarily for us, like I said, primarily for us from the activation, from our beauty con to everything that they have
Starting point is 01:42:49 salute. We had the car show there this year, so salute to Essence and Sirius Dennis had an amazing time. So, Destiny was there. Destiny Spurlock? Destiny Spurlock, yes. Yeah, we had your sponsor call there, Roger Cruz's call, yeah. We had Roger Cruz's call. We had Roger Cruz called. I didn't know what was happening. I didn't remember if I had gave him the contact. He didn't
Starting point is 01:43:05 gave me in contact, but we reached out the NASCAR got it done. Salutes a currency. I really couldn't remember because I saw it and I was like, I know if he asked me, but did I get, I don't. No, you didn't get me. We reached out the NASCAR. He just left him hanging. He just left me. No, because he asked me. I was like, I don't know how to get he. He didn't even respond. He was
Starting point is 01:43:21 like, I got, I got. I don't remember. I really don't remember. I was just like, but that's dope. I'm glad it did. Yeah, Luke to Destiny's Furlock, who was the first black woman in NASCAR. She came, a Rajah Kourouz car. We had his car. We had his car. Stano stopped by the Yeah, Tiana stopped by, Mani Fresh stopped by.
Starting point is 01:43:35 We had currency. We had his cars. Zion from the Pelicans. It was just a dope, dope, dope, dope. His car better be big, as big as Zion is. No, he has one of them dunks. He better. He better.
Starting point is 01:43:47 Zion Williamson? Yeah, yeah. You added real food in your bodega, too, right? Quarter waters and candy. We gave him away free to the kids. So if kids came, it was just, we just gave me away free. It was just a touch. So we built a bodega at the car show.
Starting point is 01:43:59 So it was kind of like a New York family. Y'all built it? You know what I want to get on your ass about? What you want to get on my ass about that? I seen a flyer. I was like, this dude is the most culturally appropriate person. I seen a flyer when he was pretending to be French. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 01:44:11 Yo. Yes, you did. Listen, you had the colors on and everything. It was like DJ, I'd be representing France. Oh, no, no, no. Versus Morocco. I'm doing the watch party. It was France was Morocco.
Starting point is 01:44:23 I'm doing it. I know. I knew it was something. It was something. It was something. I wanted to get on his ass. I was like, I'm like, we just got him. We're doing a watch party at American Dream for the,
Starting point is 01:44:32 French Morocco game and I'm hosting it. You had on the French colors. It says DJ NB representing France. No it did not say representing France. No it does. No it does not. Who was Morocco? Somebody else was Morocco. It was Camillo with me. Man, you got to stop. You got to mess up your money. You got it. Whatever you're representing you are.
Starting point is 01:44:48 French is from where French friends? He's from Morocco. Oh, Morocco. Okay. But that's that they do the AI flies and everybody looks like.
