Starting point is 00:04:37 What's good? Hope you're having a wonderful day Good morning Lil D What's happening? Good morning I feel great Been up since 2 So early?
Starting point is 00:04:45 Yeah, why not? Prepping? I got to get my coffee in, and then I got to use the bathroom so that I can be good and energized. There you go. It's like a down and an up. You know what I'm saying? All right.
Starting point is 00:04:53 And empty. Empty. All right. You got to make sure you're empty. You feel me? You got to decide. You know what time it is. That's it.
Starting point is 00:04:58 That's it. Now, how was everybody's weekend this weekend? Oh, man. I had a great weekend doing not a damn thing. Watching college football. That's what my weekend was spent doing. Laying on the couch, weekend doing not a damn thing, watching college football. That's what my weekend was spent doing, laying on the couch, cuddling with the babies, watching college football. And, you
Starting point is 00:05:09 know, for a lot of people, their kids have already gone back to school, especially down south. For us, our kids start going back today and tomorrow. Yeah, today and tomorrow. You know, so. Today and Thursday for me. I'm not going to sit here and act like I was doing any prep for that either. Nope. You know, but here we are. Yeah, what about you, Lil D? I was doing any prep for that either. Nope. You know? But here we are.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Yeah, what about you, Lil D? I met a guy from New York over the weekend. He was homeless and had just got to Dallas, right? And he was like, where's the next gas station? I was like, go up to the traffic light, whatever. He was like, what's your name? I'm like, hey, bro, I'm in the middle of jogging. I take off.
Starting point is 00:05:37 You know what he told me? Hey, go do some squats. Wow. He was mad. Wow. I want you to know I do 20 squats a day, first of all. What was he trying to tell you? That your legs was weak or something? No, I ain't got no breath.
Starting point is 00:05:47 You ain't got no ass? That made me sad. Because I'm really working on it. I have the cuff and everything. It looks better when I'm naked. But you can see it through clothes. I don't know how we got here. I don't know how we...
Starting point is 00:05:57 I don't know where we're going. I don't know where we're going. Okay, but it's Lil T, ladies and gentlemen. Jesus. All right. He was from New York. It was like a nice little welcome. I'm like, damn, y'all are rude. Well, you said. All right. He was from New York. It was like a nice little welcome. I'm like, damn, y'all are rude.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Well, you said he was homeless. He was. He had just got to Dallas from New York. It's better to be homeless in Dallas than New York. It's cheaper. It's hotter, though. It's hot. Now that's facts.
Starting point is 00:06:16 It's 104. Yeah, it's hot in Dallas. So the guy just said, hey, how you doing? Do more squats. He asked me where the next gas station was. They was tripping at the one he was begging outside of. So I was like, go to the traffic light up here. And then, you know, he's trying to slip stuff in. What's your name?
Starting point is 00:06:30 And I was like, T. Go up to the light up there at the corner or whatever. And he was like, okay, where you from? I'm like, hey, bro, I'm in the middle of work and I'm going to go. Bye. And as I walked off, he looked and he went, hey, go do some squats. What did you reply? What did you respond with? I didn't. You should have responded with something. F your mother because you was already running out. I shouldn't have. Why don't you go to homeschool? No, you reply? What did you respond with? I didn't. You should have responded to something.
Starting point is 00:06:45 F your mother because you was already running out. I should have told her why don't you go to homeschool? No, you shouldn't have done that. We watched a young lady
Starting point is 00:06:50 this weekend get knocked beside her head with a brick for turning some guys down. I'm telling you. I hate to say that. Women can't just dismiss dudes because they should be able to. But you got all these
Starting point is 00:07:02 brothers out here that got these real fragile egos. You never know how that can turn out. You're right. Sometimes I just give you my number. It's a fake number, but I just give you one so you can get on. Yeah. Yeah, that's better than
Starting point is 00:07:11 F your mother. Don't listen to this baby fool over there. I mean, I'm going to keep a gun. I mean, I'm in Texas. Not in New York. No, never. I feel very naked. Yeah, you keep a gun on you here in New York, you ain't going back to Dallas no time soon. Three years. All right.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Well, shout out to everybody that wished me birthday wishes. It was my birthday weekend. I had an amazing time. Saturday, I was out in Ohio. Friday, I was in Jacksonville. Sunday, which was my actual birthday, I just spent the time with the family, so I had a great time. And you know, you ever try to call somebody because you want to prove a point and the person don't answer the phone? I called Charlamagne yesterday, right? Because I wanted to prove a point and the person don't answer the phone? I called Charlamagne yesterday, right?
Starting point is 00:07:45 Because I wanted to prove a point, right? I was telling somebody during the interview about Prince, when we met Prince and the person didn't believe me. I'm like, I'm going to call Charlamagne right now and he's going to confirm the story. This nigga didn't pick up. I don't talk to niggas after 5 o'clock. What time did you call me?
Starting point is 00:08:00 It was before 5 o'clock. It was Labor Day. It was like 4.30. It was almost 5 o'clock. Well, it was Monday. It was Labor Day. It was like 4.30. It was almost 5, but here on the Crest. Anyway, all right, well, let's get the show cracking. Front page news. Tezlin Figueroa will be joining us. We'll talk to her next.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Don't go anywhere. It's the Breakfast Club on BET. Let's go. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God. We are the Breakfast Club. We got our guest co-host, Lil D, with us. Of course, from K1045 Dallas.
Starting point is 00:08:23 What up, Gio? All right. Let's get in some front45 Dallas. What up, Gio? All right. Let's get in some front page news. Good morning, Tess. Good morning, DJ Envy. Good morning, Little D from Dallas. Hey, girl. And Charlamagne Tha God.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Hello. Shout out to Oakley from the building. That's my hood. Now, let's start right with it. We got to congratulate Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes. They upset TSU over the weekend, 45-42, and here was Deion after the game. We do things that have never been done, and that makes people uncomfortable. When you see a confident black man sitting up there talking his talk, walking his walk,
Starting point is 00:08:56 coaching 75% of African-Americans in the locker room, that's kind of threatening. Oh, they don't like that. But guess what? We don't consistently do what we do. Because I'm here and it ain't going nowhere. And I'm about to get comfortable in a minute. I'm about to get comfortable in a minute. I want to get comfortable, my brother.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Let me tell you something. I love it. If they do what they did on Saturday every week, that's going to be my favorite team to watch in college football. That offense was explosive on Saturday. You hear me? Absolutely. And it's so interesting to watch everybody who had something to say about Deion Sanders leaving, you know, Jackson State, all of a sudden be on Deion Sanders' bandwagon again.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Yes, they were. That's why I don't listen to people. Deion Sanders said something else in the post-game conference. Don't ever listen to the opinions of other people. Other people's opinions have nothing to do with you in any way, shape, or form because everybody's so damn fickle. That's right. Now let's jump right into some news. Let's talk about these older politicians. Yeah, Sunday, a Republican presidential candidate, Nikki Haley, advocated for term limits, which I think we all agree on that, and mental mental tests for politicians over the age of 75. She says they need to let a younger generation take over. Let's take a listen.
Starting point is 00:10:06 It's sad. No one should feel good about seeing that, you know, with any more than we should feel good about seeing Dianne Feinstein, any more than we should feel good about a lot of what's happening or seeing Joe Biden's decline. What I will say is right now, the Senate is the most privileged nursing home in the country. Mitch McConnell has done some great things and he deserves credit, but you have to know when to leave. That is why I'm strongly in support of term limits in this country. I think that we do need mental competency tests for anyone over the age of 75. I wouldn't care if they did them over the age of 50, but these are people making decisions on our
Starting point is 00:10:40 national security. They're making decisions on our economy, on the border. We need to know they're at the top of their game. You can't say that right now looking at Congress. Nikki is absolutely right. She ain't say one damn thing wrong. I've been saying this for the longest. I'll stop her when she stops telling the truth. We need term limits, and if you're all going to stay in, you definitely need mental competency tests over the age of whatever.
Starting point is 00:11:02 I've been saying this for the longest, and every time I say it, they say I'm attacking old people, I'm attacking. No, but it's not. But when you see things like that, like what's the gentleman's name? Senator McConnell. That just froze? Yeah, he needs better charts. Twice. Twice. Yeah, then you got Senator Feinstein, 90 years old.
Starting point is 00:11:17 She's faced multiple health setbacks. Didn't know what she was voting on. Nope. You know, Nancy Pelosi's 83. Donald Trump's 77.iden is 80 like yeah we need term limits we didn't see him trip up we didn't see him trip down we didn't see him fall off a bike we didn't see him shake hands that's not there we didn't see him get sandbagged we just seen so much when it gets to the point where it's like like maybe there should be an age maximum you know how do you have to be 35 to be president maybe when you get a certain age like
Starting point is 00:11:43 you are done with politics go relax go fishing yeah if you if you do the term limits which most americans agree it will solve the problem you know because if somebody could only stay in for eight years uh most people don't run for congress uh for the first time in their 80s you know they usually run in their 50s or 60s so term limits will solve that and I think everybody agrees they should have that on the on the other side of that. Just to be clear, the average person in health in the House is 57. The average person in Congress is 65. I mean, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:12:14 In Senate is 65. So term limits will take care of that. Also will take care of corruption. It also will take care of people being bought. You know, it also will take care of actually getting policy done. So I like Nikki Haley. I like the fact that she made sure she included Democrats and Republicans in, you know it also would take care of actually getting policy done so i like nikki haley i like the fact that she made sure she included democrats and republicans in you know in her comments so that it was even across the board and i just think she's she's a smart lady and and um she's also going up in the polls as well on the republican side yeah and we wouldn't
Starting point is 00:12:37 be having these conversations if there wasn't obvious cognitive decline correct folks aren't just saying it's because these people are older. It's because it's obvious something is wrong. We can see the reasons. Alright, well that is front page news. Now, Tez, we'll see you in a couple of minutes. Absolutely. Everybody else, get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, phone lines
Starting point is 00:12:58 are wide open. Let us know how your weekend was. It was a three-day weekend. Did you get a chance to relax? Call us up. Let us know. 800-585-1051. And Little D is our guest host. It was a three-day weekend. Did you get a chance to relax? Let's call us up. Let us know. 800-585-1051 and Lil D is our guest host. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. This is your time to get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:13:17 800-585-1051. We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? Yo, Envy, what's up, Rob? It's Mello. Happy birthday, King. What's up, Mello? I ain't hear from you in a minute.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Everything good? Life is amazing. It is what it should be. Thank you for the birthday love. What's up, Lil D? I heard you and Charlamagne have the same nickname. What? Good morning, I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:13:39 How you doing? Congratulations, Mello. Mello was waiting for that one. That was on your mind early in the morning, huh, Mello? Shh. Huh? Hey, hey, listen. You got to flip your misfortune and go with your fortune.
Starting point is 00:13:48 It wasn't on my mind. I just came up with it off the tongue. I'm going to make you a box of cereal. I'm going to get you a custom box of cereal called Lil D's, and it's going to be Lil Penises, okay? They're going to taste great in your mouth. That's right. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:14:00 First off, Lil D, you don't say that. I love you. That sounded wild. But, nah, I'm not going to hold you. I got to actually comment on this. I heard you say, yeah, I give dudes a fake number and I go about my business. And after what just happened over this weekend, I'm going to advise you not to do that. Because there's some crazy dudes out there who will try and call you right then and there.
Starting point is 00:14:19 For me and for your safety, because we don't know what these dudes are going to do. I say give him your number, get out of his vicinity, and then block him. You feel me? It's a shame that we got to tell y'all this, but, like, you feel me? Like, ain't on top of that girl who got hit with the bricks. There was a bunch of dudes around her, and they did not step up to protect that black woman. That is so disappointing. Gangsta.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Might as well hold you. You got to do better. You wouldn't do that, would you? Oh, hell no. I protect all black women, and not just the ones I'm attracted to. That's real. Yeah, I mean, you're right, Melo. We really need to learn how to do better. You wouldn't do that, would you? Oh, hell no. I protect all black women and not just the ones I'm attracted to. That's real. Yeah. I mean, you're right, Melo.
Starting point is 00:14:48 We really need to learn how to do that. Like, protect all black women. Because when it's us, they go to bed for us 10 times out of 10. But when it's them, why it seem like they have to go to social media to get the help that they looking for? Like, that's crazy. Yeah, you're right. And I got four daughters.
Starting point is 00:15:03 Charlamagne got four daughters. So it's very scary, you know, when my daughter will be out and about. And there's some crazy dudes out there with low egos, low self-esteem. Fragile egos, man. And I don't understand why humans just can't take rejection. You know what I mean? If the young lady don't want to give you her number, you just keep it moving. Like, it should be really that simple, right?
Starting point is 00:15:23 I think so. Hello, who's this? Yeah, what's up, Envy? What's up, Trav? Charlamagne. Like, it should be really that simple, right? I think so. Hello, who's this? Yeah, what's up, Envy? What's up, Trav? Charlamagne. Hey, sis, what's happening? I'm chilling, I'm chilling, I'm chilling. Who y'all got? Her name is Lil D. She's from Dallas. What's going on, Lil D. How you, baby?
Starting point is 00:15:37 We said Lil D, Trav. Lil D, Trav. You know those things you hate. I don't want to talk to nobody named Lil D. First of all, don't do me at all. He not going to do you. Oh, okay. We ain't doing nothing with those Little Ds around here. Oh, that's rude.
Starting point is 00:15:53 What's up, Dre? How you doing, little girl? I'm wonderful. Big things come in small packages. I'm five feet even. You ain't doing nothing. That ain't doing nothing for travel, little D. I'm telling you that right now.
Starting point is 00:16:02 You ain't got nothing to travel on. Nothing to travel on. Oh, you're my fave then for travel, O.D. I'm telling you that right now. Nothing for you over here, baby. You ain't got nothing travel on. Nothing travel on. Oh, you're my fave then. Hey, friend. Hey, boo. You know what I'm saying? We can go out together. I was trying to find them yesterday when I got here.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Like, where they at, though? Listen, I'm tired of y'all one because of that. Matter of fact, speaking of that, if y'all aren't fine, man, please get out of my DM asking about Taylor. Every time I turn around, if there's a fine man in my DM, I'm over here happy. Like, okay, he's about to deny me. Then he'd be like, ask about Taylor. What, they want some imaging done?
Starting point is 00:16:35 You stupid. No, I'm pretty sure they want a little bit more imaging done. But anyway, y'all, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, they're coming. They're dropping. Party gang, we in the building. Make sure y'all tune Cardi B, Megan Stallion, they're coming, they're dropping. Party gang, we in the building. Make sure y'all tune in September 8th. Bongo. I can't wait to hear the record.

Starting point is 00:26:19 They want to make sure you empty. You got a D size. You know, Tom, this is the rumor report. I feel great. Been got to detox. You know what time it is. This is the rumor report. I feel great. Been up since 2. Too early?
Starting point is 00:26:28 Yeah, why not? On The Breakfast Club. Look at this little key, ladies and gentlemen. Let's go. Do you hear me? Boy, I sounded good. Okay, finally, Chris Shine had our baby. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:26:40 Okay, so after what seems like six years. It seemed like she was pregnant a long time. It does. That's why you can't announce right after you pee on a stick. But congratulations to Chris Sean. The baby is here. She was there. We were there because she had a baby on IG Live, and we know her mama was there.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Push baby. Push baby. Get him out there. He out. He out. He out. Thank you, Jesus. He out.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Glory to God. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. He out. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. You know. It's beautiful. I am so glad the baby is good and healthy.
Starting point is 00:27:19 But you know what they sound like to me when somebody get out of jail? Thank you, Jesus. He coming home. He out. He did it. I was waiting on the cookout plates. Anyway, you want to guess what the baby name is? What's the baby name?
Starting point is 00:27:30 Chrishawn. Okay. First of all, congratulations to her for having a healthy baby. You know what I'm saying? The way the black maternal death rate is set up in this country, anytime a sister has a healthy baby, we should applaud that. Complete fact. So salute to her. But I promise y'all, y'all don't got to share everything via social media, man.
Starting point is 00:27:47 There's nothing sacred anymore. No, I'm glad that she did in this case. It's her baby daddy wasn't there, so she need all the support she can get. We all finna be reminding her to get Pampers for that baby. Her mom was there. Her mom was there. But they ain't real support. But see, I was going to say this.
Starting point is 00:27:58 And Charlamagne, you have four kids. I got six. I didn't think you could tape delivering a baby anymore. Oh, I have no idea. The hospitals don't usually allow you to pull your phones out and record it anymore because they say it's a problem or it's an issue. So I was surprised that they were able to actually go on live that whole time. I just don't know why you would want to go on live.
Starting point is 00:28:16 They share everything, bro. But what's the point? That's my point. You don't have to. Yeah, but- None of y'all have to. None of us have to in 2023. We are choosing to share every single portion of our lives is anything sacred why are they gonna stop
Starting point is 00:28:28 now like they didn't share everything she didn't share her her boyfriend fighting her dad her fighting another family member this family member fighting that family member this happening that happening around the corner this happening they're going back for this and everything yeah just because they're doing it don't make it right i don't encourage it oh well we gotta encourage beyonce because she made history again first off happy belated birthday to the queen that's right um but she is the highest grossing female act ever on tour her tours made more than 450 million dollars which surpassed madonna's tour madonna made 411 million of course back in the day that was like oh, oh, my God. But yeah, 450 bands. Her birthday show was amazing.
Starting point is 00:29:07 Diana Ross was there. She brought out Kendrick. But listen to what Beyonce had to say herself. I'm thankful for every tear, for every year. I'm thankful for my children. I'm thankful for my husband. I'm thankful for all the s*** we've been through. I'm thankful that we all have the ability to make lemonade out of our limits.
Starting point is 00:29:43 I'm thankful for Kelly Rowland. okay why should i shout out fair who you don't remember fair fair was in destiny child for like two songs i don't remember fair was after Latoya and Latavia and then it was Farrah and Michelle. Yeah, you're right. You're right. Yeah, there was four of them and it was three. Three is my favorite number.
Starting point is 00:30:12 We'll drop on the Clues bombs with Beyonce. You know I'm a Pinky Smith, Winfrey Knowles, Carter. Congrats on those numbers. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:19 For all the Swifties out there, Taylor Swift hasn't reported her concert numbers yet. I just want to put that out there. All right. They say that she's going to end up having the highest grossing tour of all time, period. But we got it right now. Beyonce got it right now.
Starting point is 00:30:32 I just want y'all to know Taylor hasn't put her numbers, she hasn't reported her numbers yet. Just want to throw that out there. Well, you know, we got to live in the present. That's right. Got to live in the moment. Got to live in the moment. Absolutely. Got to live in the moment.
Starting point is 00:30:40 I guess that's why old boy spent his furniture money on Drake tickets. So, I mean, I want to see Drake too, but wow. He went to a Drake show and Drake was so impressed by the fact that this man said,
Starting point is 00:30:52 nah, I spent my furniture money to come see you that he gave him $50,000. On your two shows, OVO for life. Right? My manager,
Starting point is 00:31:03 my manager is my DJ. Right? Is he over there there he's right here you know what my man your furniture money i'm gonna give you 50 bands tonight now i guarantee you he ain't spent 50 bands on him drake on that furniture that he was about to buy it was probably more like two bands. How much is a Drake ticket? But how do you even confirm that? How does Drake confirm that that story is absolutely true?
Starting point is 00:31:28 Because I'm a great liar. Do you hear me? I will tell y'all that I spent my furniture money to get up here. The hotel was taxing with the deposit. Like, y'all got to...
Starting point is 00:31:36 Yeah, because what? You had a sign? So is everybody going to have a sign now that said, you know... Of course. Not everybody going to have a sob story.
Starting point is 00:31:42 And why 50 bands? Why Drake jumped out the window so high? I understand he got it. Because he's Drake. You know what I mean? But And why 50 bands? Why Drake jumped out the window so high? I understand he got it. Because he's Drake. You know what I mean? But damn, 50 bands? I'm about to make my sign right now.
Starting point is 00:31:50 See what I can get. I spent STD treatment on a Drake ticket, so help me out. Thank you. What? Never mind. All right. Well, that is your rumor report. Excuse me?
Starting point is 00:32:00 Now, when we come back. That's free. When we come back, Tezlin Figaro will be joining us. It's free. I need money. Front page news when Teslin Figaro will do that when we come back. And also, let's open up the phone lines. 800-585-1051.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Over the weekend, this story was trending. A young lady turned a guy down. I guess he asked for her number and she declined and she got hit in the face with a brick. We're going to discuss that as well. 800-585-1051. And with that, we just want to know, you know. What's the proper protocol? What should a woman do in those situations?
Starting point is 00:32:33 You know what I mean? How do the women get out of those situations safe? Yeah, and we'll discuss that after front page news. We can get on the phone lines right now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same.

We have Lil D, our guest co-host this morning from 104.5 in Dallas.
Starting point is 00:38:32 Gang, good morning. All right, and let's get into some front page news. Desmond Cigarette, what up? Good morning, DJ Envy. Good morning, Lil D from Dallas, Charlamagne Tha God. Peace, Ted. Let's jump right into it. Bring your ass back to work.
Starting point is 00:38:44 That's what they saying. That's basically whata God. Peace, Ted. Let's jump right into it. Bring your ass back to work. That's what they saying. That's basically what they saying. Everybody just enjoyed, well, most of us hopefully enjoyed a three-day weekend with Labor Day. But some big-name employers like Amazon, Meta, who we know that's Facebook, plan on getting tough on enforcing their return to office mandates after Labor Day. Non-compliance could result in disciplinary action, including a lower performance rating if unaddressed or dismissal. Now, even though other employers haven't publicly laid out enforcement measures, they said they'll be pushing this. Pharmaceutical company Merck put employees on notice that effective September 5th, those with office-based positions will be
Starting point is 00:39:22 required to show up at least three days per work, three days per week. It's hard to say whether this move will affect companies all over, but they are pretty much getting rid of that. You know, after the pandemic where folks are able to stay home, they're saying, you know, now it's time to get people back to office and return to work. So I thought this would be a good story for those of you out there that have been enjoying being able to stay at home, but people are wanting you to come back into the office. It's ironic that I'm doing this from Zoom, by the way, while I report this story. And if you're an employee that don't agree with that, wait, that's your only other option? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:57 How simple is that? Because, I mean, I'll be honest with you. If I'm a company like Amazon or one of those big companies, I want people to be at work. Let's be honest. When people are home, they're not doing 100% of the work. You know what I mean? They are on Google. They're on shopping.
Starting point is 00:40:11 They're watching television. They're not focused. They're not locked in. And I think when you're in a business place and you're talking to your coworkers, I think you can kick around ideas. I think you're able to get more things done, in my opinion. Well, you know, there's another side to that. Some people say that they get more done at home. They feel like they're more productive, you know, working from home.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Not even just people that work. There's kids in school who haven't gone back in the classroom. They feel like they're more productive at home. Well, for the kids, I know it's easier for the kids to cheat when they're at home, too. Well, that's true. And let me give you a stat on that because it does say 47% are more productive at home. But to your point, DJ, both of you are right. The idea to be able to have collaborative discussions,
Starting point is 00:40:52 work in groups, you know, you feel differently when you're in the office. But to Charlemagne's point, that there are people who are actually more productive and the employer saves a lot of money as well. So it goes, I guess, kind of both ways. That's why they're pushing this two to three days you know come in two days or three days and then go from home you
Starting point is 00:41:09 know to really have that that work-life balance it has to be less stressful too right because you ain't got to go worry about rush hour traffic you ain't got to drive an hour and a half to get to work two hours and drive two hours back home so it gives you that time as well so i see both sides and you actually work more yeah you actually work more because you feel like you you're not doing enough work so people work longer hours from home because you have those breaks and you know where you don't have a cutoff where in the office is done at five and then that's it so you know just kind of it really depends um but it also allows you to uh retain and and have good talent from all over the country whatever good employee a good employee doesn't live in
Starting point is 00:41:44 your city but you want that talent? They're able to work from home. I think it depends on the kind of job you have. Like if it's a 9 to 5, you hate your job, you go here, you live in a cubicle, you probably are better at home. You're relaxed, you're comfortable. But if you do radio and you're on a morning show, you can't talk to your people. You can't get together and see them.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Could you imagine the option of being in school whether it's high school or college and you got a test and you got to take it from home? I bet I pass. You have one laptop, you have two laptops one looking at your teacher, the other one googling the answers. I bet I got a scholarship to Yale. Blind colors.
Starting point is 00:42:20 I'm googling everything. Hell you mean. Straight A's. Now let's talk about this ADHD drug shortage. Yeah, again, another good thing. I know you guys mentioned that a lot of folks have returned to school this week. And like we mentioned, the people in the South have been in at least for two or three weeks now. But there was a report that came out that said, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, there's been a shortage of medications for ADHD. A lot of young people have been treated for this, and this shortage of medication is causing them to have problems in school. Let's take a listen about the shortage. But relief from the shortage may not be coming
Starting point is 00:42:55 soon. Prescription rates for the medicines are at record highs, up more than 45 percent in the U.S. over the last decade. A CDC study this year found an especially large jump in prescriptions for adults in the first year of the pandemic. Also complicating the picture, drugs like Adderall are stimulants, controlled substances the government says have a high potential for abuse. So the Drug Enforcement Administration sets limits on how much can be produced. Now is not the time to have an adhd shortage man teachers need it kids need it parents need it nobody paying attention right now because they know because it's an adhd shortage my cousin worked for the fda in the hall i could ask her
Starting point is 00:43:37 what they could do about it if you want well no let's keep that amongst each other we don't need to get that to the public we keep that in house yeah um adderall i i don't know if you guys know but that's a drug that also helps with alcohol uh people who are alcoholics um so it's a drug across the board that's not just adhd and so they contribute to that shortage as well it's so interesting i had a conversation with somebody over the weekend about you know they said they started taking adderall and it does make a big difference and so this shortage you know really this is a really good report by the way it's a longer report if those who want to look it up but it was talking about you know this particular college kid that
Starting point is 00:44:11 couldn't focus on packing couldn't focus on grades couldn't focus on anything and she really needed that ADHD and it made a difference in her school so what do you guys think about old people being my girlfriend said she said I feel like they were pushing this and everybody needed to be on medication we know Dr. Umar talks a lot about this as well, saying that they're pushing folks on ADHD. One of the things they said is a high, a lot of people are getting this prescription. Do you think people are being over-medicated or what? I do. I do. And I tell anybody with kids when they're going to the doctors and the doctor says that their child has ADHD to go to a bunch of different doctors.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Some doctors are very quick on medicine. That's their everything. Hey, there's a problem. Medicine. There's a problem. Medicine. I prefer with anything. Even myself.
Starting point is 00:44:53 I don't like to take Tylenol. Like I like to do alternate things. Whether it's I need to meditate. I even tried hugging a tree the other day. I don't know what. I don't know what. Charlamagne told me go hug a tree. Yes, I hug trees.
Starting point is 00:45:04 That's beautiful. They told me I had shoes on. I had to take my shoes off. You had to take your shoes off and drown. Oh yeah day. I don't know what. I don't know what. Charlamagne told me, go hug a tree. Yes, I hug trees. That's beautiful. They told me I had shoes on. I had to take my shoes off. You had to take your shoes off and ground. It's okay. You can try again. I gotta try again. But, you know, I don't like certain things that are man-made to help us. If I can do other alternate things, I try that first, you know? And I think we should try that with our kids as well.
Starting point is 00:45:20 Okay. Yeah. And there's a lot of studies about that, though, just by the way, for those who want to look into it about black children and black boys in particular being diagnosed with ADHD more than others. So, you know, look, look into that as well. Is that an excuse to work from home? I don't have my ADHD medication, so I don't think I can come in today, sir or ma'am. All right. Well, that is front page news. And make sure you subscribe to tesla figaro's podcast it's great shot no chaser podcast on the black effect iheart radio podcast network and follow
Starting point is 00:45:50 at tesla figaro on all social media platforms at tesla figaro all right well let's open up the phone lines 800-585-1051 over this week over the weekend uh it was trending it was everywhere this young lady uh was hitting the face with a brick now uh i guess a gentleman was uh they call it cat calling trying to holler at her she said no turned him down and the guy responded with a brick to her face i never did anything in my life to hurt anybody literally a man asked me for my number i said no and he he picked up a brick in front of so many men It was like What you gonna do? I told all these men like yo, why is this man got a brick on my face?
Starting point is 00:46:35 And he he's holding a brick and all these Watching and nobody does nothing and he hits me in my face and they're all just watching and they let that get in a car how is this okay this is what y'all doing to women her face was swollen it was all over the place very disgusting very horrible not what i'm talking about what happened was very disgusting so we're asking 800-585-1051 what's the what's the proper procedure you know i'm saying when a woman does not want to give a man her phone number? How do women get out of that situation nowadays? Lil D is here.
Starting point is 00:47:10 You know, she can talk to it. We want to hear from the women this morning. You know, how do women get out of that situation safely? All right, and we'll talk about it when we come back. 800-585-1051. Let's discuss. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:47:22 The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. It's topic time. Call 800-585-1051 to join in to the discussion with The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We got our special guest co-host, Little D from Dallas. You did? Good morning. Now, if you just joined us, we were talking about this that's been trending over the weekend.
Starting point is 00:47:51 A young lady said she was out and about. A dude asked for her number, and when she turned him down, she got hit in the face with a brick. That's right. I never did anything in my life to hurt anybody. Literally, a man asked me for my number. I said no. And he picked up a brick in front of so many men.
Starting point is 00:48:13 And was like, what are you going to do? And I told all these men, like, yo, why does this man got a brick on my face? And he's holding a brick. And all these people are is watching and nobody does nothing and he hits me in my face and they're all just watching and they let that get in a car how is this okay this is what y'all doing to women so the question is 800-585-1051 what were we asking charlamagne well know, I'm asking what is the proper procedure for a woman when they're in this situation? Like, how do women get out of situations like this safely?
Starting point is 00:48:50 And it's sad that we even got to ask that question, you know what I mean? Because the reality is men's ego shouldn't be that fragile, you know? And if a woman tells you, look, man, I'm married, I'm in a relationship, I simply don't want to give you my number. That should be enough, you know what I mean? For you to say, okay and keep it moving. But clearly we not in those times anymore and really never have been.
Starting point is 00:49:12 Like guys have always been aggressive or when they get that kind of rejection, they do tend to react badly. I haven't seen things like this. You know, but yeah, that's just the question I'm asking. Like what's the proper procedure for a woman when they're in that situation? How do they get out of situations like that safely?
Starting point is 00:49:28 Lil D? I mean, I think it's situational. Like, I really think the real answer is men should stop being crazy. But for a woman, it's situational. Like, I live in Texas, so you're not going to catch me without it on me. So you can try that if you want, but you're going to get shot. I'm in New York right now. I ain't going to go to jail.
Starting point is 00:49:42 So nine times out of ten, I'ma just give you the number and block you when you're gone. See, I don't like that. I don't like that a woman has to do that. I agree. You know what I mean? That a woman feels like, I gotta give you my number.
Starting point is 00:49:52 Numbers are personal. They are. You give your numbers to people who you want to have them. Right? So the fact that a woman feels like, I have to give you my number, like that just...
Starting point is 00:50:01 I'm five feet and a quarter. That rubs me to wrong. Yeah, it's a problem. Like I said, with four daughters, it gives you something to think about right and because you don't want to give them a fake number because i i'm sure dudes will be like well let me call you right now then your phone don't ring now oh you trying to play me you know so it's like what do you do do you give them the number and block them like mellow said earlier this morning uh i'm i'm really surprised i don't know the situation in entirety, but were there
Starting point is 00:50:26 other dudes around? How come they didn't help? Man picked up a brick. We're really to the point where it's like, hey man, that's y'all's problem. I mean, we see it on TV every week where people are in domestic relationships and it's funny. It's trending. People don't understand a brick. Damn, Devo, this is real.
Starting point is 00:50:42 Yeah, even if you have a problem with the woman, right? Because I've seen some Yeah, even if you have a problem with the woman, right? Because I've seen some guys that were there say how, you know, they felt like the woman is a troublemaker and she's always looking for trouble. But even if you felt like that, you still got to know when something went too far. You know what I'm saying? Even if she's a troublemaker, even if she's hit with a brick, you got to know somebody getting hit with a brick is a step too far.
Starting point is 00:51:05 But, I mean, that is the real answer, right? The real answer is men's ego shouldn't be so fragile. And that's a situation that you got to correct in yourself. I don't know what happened in your life or in your childhood that rejection causes you to react in that way. But that ain't it, y'all. Because if your debit card ever been declined, you've been rejected. Like, stop acting like it's just women. You've been rejected before.
Starting point is 00:51:27 They had your size in them Jordans. And it don't mean you whack, my brothers. It don't mean you whack because this woman decided not to give you her number. You know what I mean? You just might not be her type. Oh, my God. But I guarantee you, if you hit her with a brick, you ain't going to be no woman's type. They're going to see that and be like, I don't want to deal with this guy ever.
Starting point is 00:51:44 But you know what? And Charlamagne, I know you've been to them. Like, we've been to those type of places where it was 4th of July in Miami or 4th of July in Virginia. We've been to Myrtle Beaches and all that. And we've seen dudes get disrespectful. Never brick.
Starting point is 00:51:58 I've never seen no brick. I've seen them curse a girl out. You know what I mean? But even that is disrespectful. If shorty don't want to give you a number, shorty want to give you a number. Don't want to give you a number. Don't talk to another girl. don't want to give you a number don't talk to another girl you keep it moving that's what i said but that's what i'm telling you it's not you're not whack just because
Starting point is 00:52:09 that particular girl does not want to give you their number but when you react the way this guy reacted you are whack yeah and i can see why no girl would ever want to give you the number let's go to the phone lines hello who's this hey this? Hey, what's going on? It's Vince from the Bronx. Vince, what's up? Talk to us, bro. I'm chilling, chilling. First and foremost, good morning to you guys. Good morning. I think the fact that we're talking about this is crazy
Starting point is 00:52:36 to me, but I don't think there's a lot of role models. I know it's a cliche, but I don't think there's a lot of role models within this generation. I don't know where this took place, but it's like it sounds like probably protocol how to avoid a ticket. That doesn't make any sense to me. So it's like, we don't have role models within our neighborhoods. That's how I feel.
Starting point is 00:52:55 So what you mean? You mean, you're saying the men need better role models so they don't carry themselves like this? They're not being raised like this. Exactly, because you know, like you had your uncle installing you a game and all that. We don't have a lot of OGs. You have a lot of individuals now within the neighborhood. I'm not saying everybody should be a follower and all that, but we don't have a lot of leaders stepping up,
Starting point is 00:53:14 showing you what's wrong and what's right, especially with the younger generation, 19 and younger. They hold your own stuff and not to blame that, but they're following all that stuff, and that's not setting any proper examples. Yeah. You got to snatch these young boys up and tell them that's not the way to react. Just cause the girl says,
Starting point is 00:53:30 Hey man, now I'm good. I don't want to give you my number. Hello. Who's this? Hi, this is Kamara. Hey Kamara.
Starting point is 00:53:35 Talk to us. What's your thoughts, mama? Hey, so I actually went to school in Atlanta. I went to Clark Atlanta and my freshman year, this guy, he actually called me out of my name.
Starting point is 00:53:44 He called me B word because I wouldn't give him my number. So from that day forward, what I started doing, I would just give anybody my number because I was scared. Because I didn't want nobody to put their hands on me or call me out of my name or anything like that. I feel you. Sometimes it's easier. Because even though I got a man don't work all the time,
Starting point is 00:54:03 they be like, so, so. It's like, bro, you're very rude. Even if I'm single, I don't want you now. Like, cause even though I got a man don't work all the time, they be like, so, so, it's like, bro, you're very rude. Even if I'm single, I don't want you now. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 00:54:10 This is Gabriel. What's happening, y'all? Gabriel, what's up? Talk to us. What's your thoughts? Man,
Starting point is 00:54:14 I see on Worldstar, I believe it's the same chick y'all talking about. They show her, slap some dude, go shake her butt, and then later on, she's talking about
Starting point is 00:54:23 some dude hit me in the face with a brick. Is it a video of her slapping the dude? Yeah, I mean, listen, I get all of that, but even still, man, we still got to know when something went too far, right? You don't think a brick is too far to hit a young lady in the face with a brick? Oh, yeah, I know a brick was too far, but in the wrong way, maybe she took it too far.
Starting point is 00:54:40 Maybe she was acting some type of way. And I would hate to say and think that, but the video previously shows maybe she was acting some type of way and i would hate to say and think that but the video previously shows maybe she was acting some type of way let's take it let's take it out of the individual young lady we're not to pause we're not talking about the individual we're talking about the ideology right like the whole sentiment of if a woman says no i got a man i don't want to give you my number guys react violently you know i. You know what I mean? We've seen this before, not just in this situation. You right. But what I'm saying is her karma throughout the course of her night caused her to get that.
Starting point is 00:55:13 I don't know whether that's true or not, but we're talking about the ideology. We're not talking about this particular situation. I said take it out of her. See, that's what you should have went with because he didn't understand the ideology. I'm a married man. Take it out of her. I don't have no reason. Take it of her. I don't have no reason. Away from her.
Starting point is 00:55:25 Ideology is just a thing of the past. He didn't have ideology confused. That's five syllables, though. You got to. Ideology. You know what I'm saying? You got to just kind of break that down a little bit. Yeah, you got to break it down.
Starting point is 00:55:34 Anyway, 800-585-1051. We're talking about the young lady that got hit in the face with a brick. We're actually taking it out of her and saying, women out there. What's so funny? No, that do sound crazy when you say it like that. It really does. We're going to take it out of her and saying, women out there. What's so funny? No, that do sound crazy when you say it like that. It really does. We're going to take it out of her. 800-585-1051.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Women, what are you supposed to do in these situations? What's the proper protocol when you're in that situation? Let's discuss. We want y'all to get out of these situations safely. Yes, we know men's egos are fragile. We know men have to do better. That's first and foremost. But until that happens, we got to have some preventative measures.
Starting point is 00:56:05 What are those? That's right. We'll discuss when we come back. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. What's up, y'all? This is Questlove, and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast I've been working on with the Story Pirates and John Glickman called Historical Records.

The tip of the cap is another one gone. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history, like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama
Starting point is 00:57:04 who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing. Check it. And it began with me. Did you know, did you know? Starting point is 01:01:32 Call 800-585-1051 to join in to the discussion with The Breakfast Club. Let's talk about it. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We're still here with our guest co-host, Lil D. Gang. Now, if you're just joining us, we're talking about this young lady.
Starting point is 01:01:48 Over the weekend, she was trending. A guy asked for her number, allegedly. And whatever happened, the guy hit her in the face with a brick. And we're asking women, what is the protocol? Because this is scary. I got four daughters. Charlamagne has four daughters. And it's scary out there.
Starting point is 01:02:02 I mean, these guys Are showing low self esteem I mean a brick though You could have just said I am my one You're like a brick Fragile egos First of all First of all
Starting point is 01:02:10 Why would he be saying I am my one Alright You're really showing your age Okay Why would a guy be saying that In 2023 What I am my one
Starting point is 01:02:18 What what what I am my one I am my My is my They wouldn't be saying My all one One is like one love One
Starting point is 01:02:24 They won't say that no more. Y'all don't say that up here no more? No. Oh, see, because I got out the plane like words, son, and all of that. Y'all don't do that? See? Exactly. Damn.
Starting point is 01:02:33 And you're reinforcing the stereotype. Yeah. One. Look, I'm out the game. I've been out the game a long time. By the way, if you say that to a guy, he'll be like, well, give me the rest of the number. You know what I'm saying? What do you mean one, what?
Starting point is 01:02:45 Give me the area code. Give me the area code and the rest of the number. Oh, my goodness. Hello, who's this? Hi, this is Peaches. Let me take you off the speaker. Thank you, Peaches. Good morning, guys. It's so good to speak to y'all.
Starting point is 01:02:57 How you feeling this morning, Peaches? Feeling fine. I think what happened is horrible, and that is something I have anxiety about because I don't want to offend guys. So if I'm feeling you, I turn it around and I ask for your number. Oh, you smart. I don't like to give out my number, so I just ask for theirs. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:03:21 You know, it's a world where you have to really get to know a person before you trust them like that because your number is tied to a lot of your personal
Starting point is 01:03:32 information. You can almost find out where a person lives just by having their phone number and I have one number. So I don't like
Starting point is 01:03:41 to give out my number. I just ask for their number. Let me call you. Switch that swapping around real quick. I hate that women have to go through all of this. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 01:03:51 Yo, what's going on? It's DJ Hit List. What up, Hit List? Talk to us. What's your thoughts, brother? Honestly, I feel like this is a tragic situation, but I know you and Solomon, y'all both got daughters. I got daughters myself.
Starting point is 01:04:02 What I'm going to have my daughters do, I'm going to tell them the best way to get out of their situation is give a guy the number. But I'm going to have them give him my number. So later on, they hit a guy up, they talking to me. You know, they got to get out of the situation. So they hit a dude up, call him, text him, whatever. It's going to be me on the phone.
Starting point is 01:04:20 I like that. I mean, that's the best way they can get away from the situation. Dude hit them up. It's going to be they daddy on the phone. I like that. I mean, that's the best way they can get away from the situation. Dude, hit them up. It's going to be they daddy on the phone. But what about the guys who call you immediately? Yeah. I would hope that if you call somebody immediately, something's got to be wrong
Starting point is 01:04:36 with you. I mean... Like they do that on purpose. They're like, oh, this your number? Let me go ahead and hit you up. Ain't that some form of kidnapping, though? If I give you a number and I say I'm about to leave and you say, no, no, no, no, hold on, hold on, don't go nowhere until I call. Ain't that like you keeping me somewhere without my consent? I mean, it is.
Starting point is 01:04:51 It might be, but then I'd rather them feel that way to get hit in the head with a brick, you know what I mean? Harry Tubman got hit. It wasn't a brick, but it was heavy like that. Damn. I'm trying to figure out why he had a brick in his hand or a brick, but, I mean, that's real crazy. But I will hope if they're really not trying to get a dude with their number,
Starting point is 01:05:09 I will hope they can just get him my number right off RIP. But that's one of the best scenarios I got for them. Well, what's that number? Right quick. I can use your number when a dude asks for it. Oh, yeah, you can use my number. I got you. That'll work.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Where you calling from, bro? I'm calling from Detroit. Detroit. As a matter of fact, speaking of Detroit, A.V., I got you. That'll work. Where you calling from, bro? I'm calling from Detroit. Detroit. As a matter of fact, speaking of Detroit, A.V., I need you to come to the Motor City. I need a car show here, man. We did one like three years ago out in Detroit. He didn't ask you that. He said he needed you to come now.
Starting point is 01:05:36 Yeah, we need one here, too. I need to support a black business. All right, we going. Maybe next year. Maybe next year. I know I'm going to try to do Dallas. I'm going to try to do the Carolinas. Maybe next year.
Starting point is 01:05:46 All right. It'll work. That'll work. All right. What's the moral of the story, guys? Man, I don't know what the moral of the story is, because I'm sorry that women have to be in this position. I mean, we all know what the real,
Starting point is 01:05:55 the real cure would be is for men's egos not to be so fragile and for you to go deal with whatever pain and hurt and trauma you got inside you that you're clearly projecting on this young lady because you can't take rejection. That's the real answer. But I don't know what the moral is. Just women, be safe out there, man. The Band-Aid, though, is it's situational,
Starting point is 01:06:16 and you have to stay ready for any situation. If you in Texas have a pistol, if you're somewhere else, maybe you have a blade when you run. Maybe you give them, maybe you take their number. Maybe you give them yours and block them. You have to have all these tools in your bag when you a woman. All right. Stay ready.
Starting point is 01:06:30 All right, well, we got rumors on the way. Give us a little tease. Oh, my God. Who owe Boosie money and why he ain't going to get it? Okay. Boy. All right. Well, we'll get into Boosie Badass when we come back.
Starting point is 01:06:41 What's up, y'all? This is Questlove, and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast I've been working on with the Story Pirates and John Glickman called Historical Records. And Cove said, so if I call him, what are you going to say? And I said, he's going to tell you I'm dope. Starting point is 01:13:48 next to don't move it's the breakfast club good morning you put out the dog what's the album called damn it man what were you mad he didn't
Starting point is 01:13:57 put the album out no man damn it man I forgot the two fairy forgot man man shut up damn it man your wife on they up already they up already I mean I forgot the tooth fairy forgot, man. Man, shut up. Damn it, man.
Starting point is 01:14:05 Your wife on? They up already. They up already. I mean, yeah, let me. Yeah, but. Anyway, morning, everybody. That's your fault for telling them kids the tooth fairy still exists. The tooth fairy does still exist.
Starting point is 01:14:16 Stop that. There's kids going to school and the tooth fairy does exist. I'm sure there's a kid out there that, yes, he does. What about all these porn disenfranchised kids just walking around toothless and they ain't getting no money for it. Stop it. Got a bag of teeth. Tooth fairy does exist. Got a bag of teeth. Tooth fairy doesn't exist. Got a bag of teeth just waiting to cash it in and don't know why they can't get it cashed in because y'all keep telling these lies about the tooth fairy.
Starting point is 01:14:31 Tooth fairy does exist. I don't know. I grew up Joe's witness. Hey, Twit. Me too. Wasn't no tooth fairy. Oh my goodness. No Easter Bunny.
Starting point is 01:14:37 No Santa Claus. Humbug to both of y'all. I'm just saying. We grew up. You got to get it real. That's right. And once again, what about all the poor and distant franchise kids who don't get no money for their teeth? What you tell them?
Starting point is 01:14:48 Why the tooth fairy don't visit them? Why is not a place you could take your teeth like you could take Coke cans and get like a quarter of a dime for? That is true. We should do that for four years. You grew up poor and we was poor. We used to take the Coke cans. I ain't never thought about that. For people that grew up poor, you know what I'm saying,
Starting point is 01:15:03 growing up poor right now, bring your kids teeth to a certain location and we cash it in? Give you money for teeth? You need money for teeth? There's something we can do with those teeth. I just don't know what. Oh, my goodness. Let's get to the rumors. Lil D's here.
Starting point is 01:15:15 Dallas, Texas. Say what I'm saying. Dallas, man. You got to make sure you're empty. You feel me? You got to be. You know what time it is. This is the rumor report.
Starting point is 01:15:23 I feel great. Been up since 2. Too early? Yeah, why not? On The Breakfast Club. Look at this little D, ladies and gentlemen. Let's go, shit. Okay, so I'm from Louisiana.
Starting point is 01:15:34 So we got to talk about Boosie. Boosie and Young Blue. Boosie bad ass. How you say it? Boosie bad ass. Don't do that. Boosie and Young Blue have been going back and forth because Boosie claims that Young Blue owes him money.
Starting point is 01:15:45 Well, don't nobody like being played with in their face? And Blue posted like a million dollars. He was like, sold out shows. I'm doing it. Here come Boosie. Still don't want to pay me. At this point, he planned just like a whole bunch of expletives and Boosie was not on it.
Starting point is 01:15:58 Young Blue was like, okay, but what you don't want is for me to really tell these people what's really going on. I really got receipts. Like, you really need to chill. So we'll see what's going on there i think young blue got bigger issues like that girl who didn't smell very well he claimed he didn't smash maybe he should fix his family life first jesus little d i'm saying all right allegedly allegedly even young blue said he was like i ain't smash her because she had an odor and then the girl was like
Starting point is 01:16:27 well you can't smell the receipt I got real receipts and I'm like she didn't say she didn't stink and it was weird well see when a man
Starting point is 01:16:33 makes a statement like that because he is married right yes so if he makes a statement like that that he didn't smash because she had an odor it lets me know
Starting point is 01:16:39 that there might be some type of understanding between him and his significant other no she kicked him out the house she did oh so why did he admit to that I don't know there might be some type of understanding between him and his significant other? No, she kicked him out the house. She did. Oh.
Starting point is 01:16:46 So why did he admit to that? I don't know. Maybe he's just an honest guy. He was like, I let you tag along all day because I didn't want you to feel bad and just put you back on the plane because you smell. She had receipts. She had video. Oh. So he had to. Listen, man, black men don't cheat. Correct. Black boys still do. Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:01 So he's clearly still moving like a little boy out here. Okay. Well, technically he didn't cheat because her pH balance was off. But okay. He didn't cheat though. boys still do yes okay so he's clearly still moving like a little boy out here okay well technically he didn't cheat because her ph balance was off um but okay so the intent d oh all right um all right so 50 cent you remember when he threw that microphone in the crowd and unfortunately it hit somebody in the head and all of this and he was frustrated because it didn't work well little wayne was supposed to be a special guest on Khaled's set during a Beyonce show. His mic didn't work either. 50 was like, see, I'm trying to tell you,
Starting point is 01:17:30 only thing left is Taylor Swift's show. I fired everybody involved in the audio department. If the mic don't work, your ass don't work here. Yeah, I mean, I get it. I mean, artists are performing, you're in front of, what, 40, 50,000, 30,000 people, and they have sound checks, and this is your only job, and if the mic doesn't work, what am I supposed to do?
Starting point is 01:17:47 $15 off of that young lady at Settlement Jet. Hmm. We're tearing Maria, and I'm smiling for her. I can go with that, but I think specifically because it's Lil Wayne, it might be deeper than this, because Wayne be canceling shows for nothing. But if Wayne was actually there in the venue, he's not going gonna pull up to the
Starting point is 01:18:05 venue and be like i ain't performing like i'm sure there was an issue a problem when he was in la his artist was performing he was like nah y'all ain't giving him enough love we work hard thank you goodbye and like love but like don't nobody know they songs what you want us to do you don't know that's true his artist he's messing with you and i don't even say it like that because i went to the wayne show in dallas and a few of them, I'm like, hold on, what's his, and I looked up the Apple Music, like, hey, okay, this Rod. But in the moment, no, I don't know you, sir. I'm waiting on Go DJ to
Starting point is 01:18:31 play. Like, what you want me to do? But 50 ain't settled with the woman yet is what y'all telling me. Not that I heard of, I don't know. Yeah, he should have settled that already. You don't want that to go to court. Maybe they're working behind the scenes, we don't know. Yeah, you don't want that one to go to court. Speaking of settling though, I am so proud of Sean Puffy P. Diddy Puff Daddy Combs. Because the Gaiety's artists, they publishing back.
Starting point is 01:18:52 Now, if you know anything about Bad Boy, you know it's always been like this thing said, like, Diddy don't pay his artists and all of this. Well, Diddy came off the coin. I'm hoping we can get the versus battle now. But, like, I'm talking everybody. Faith Evans, Mace, who has been very vocal about the fact that he won his money. 112, we missed the whole versus battle because they couldn't do it. The Lox, even in a state of biggie,
Starting point is 01:19:13 all got signed agreements to receive their publishing rights back. I mean, I think that's wonderful. I think that's great. I just wonder why now? Because these artists have been asking for years, a long time. I think two things. I think, one uh diddy got offered one of those deals for for the publishing for the catalog and he know he
Starting point is 01:19:30 probably would have got a lot of backlash if he just sold it for a whole bunch of money people would have been like oh diddy you know you don't pay your artists blah blah and two he got album coming up so this part of the rollout so you stupid man you just part of the pro but i was trying to figure out why because for a long time these artists been trying to get their publishing they've been fighting for their publishing they've been vocal from people from mace well he's been the most vocal yeah and i was just wondering like why now but you're probably trying to get all bad energy out of the way let me get all let me get all bad energy out of the way like like i said he got i think he probably got offered some money for this catalog you know if he sold it it'd get a lot of backlash. Because people would be like, well, why you ain't give this person that and this person this.
Starting point is 01:20:08 Yada, yada, yada. And he got an album coming out. So let me clear all negative energy out the way. Yeah, you know, he turned down a deal to buy the publishing. Like a multi-million dollar publishing deal. He turned it down and instead gave them people their money. So it looks great. Because now we in the news saying he's great.
Starting point is 01:20:23 You know what I'm saying? Yeah. So now we in the news saying he's amazing and he know what I'm saying yeah so now we in the news saying he's amazing and he got an album coming out so I love that for him I think it's about
Starting point is 01:20:30 both those things I just know he would've got a lot of flack like imagine Diddy would've sold his publishing the catalog for 300 million dollars
Starting point is 01:20:37 would they have been on his ass about that why Mase ain't got his money then why this person ain't got their money why that person
Starting point is 01:20:43 ain't got their money so to avoid all of that, and the fact you got an album coming out, just give them the publisher. Salute to Master P, Louisiana's finest. You don't never hear Mia X saying she ain't got her publisher. You don't never hear Silk the Shocker
Starting point is 01:20:55 and Finn and Miss Klasan saying they ain't get their publisher. Romeo. I mean, but listen, that's different. We don't bring up family business. You know what I'm saying? Artists-wise, they good. I ain't never heard romancy no
Starting point is 01:21:05 publishing roman said before that him and his father was going back and forth about now it's just money's earned or something money's old not sure what it was spreading rumors about master p up here now master p come up here crying to you talking to talk you know what i mean master p talk they say it sounds like he crying you think master p going back and forth. You just out here spreading rumors about P. Drop one of Kool's bombs for P. P is an OG legend, and he will be respected as such.
Starting point is 01:21:31 He is. Period. Absolutely. Watch your mouth. Rashawn. All right? All right, Leonard. Watch your mouth by Percy Miller.
Starting point is 01:21:41 Y'all so cute. Y'all be having love and spats like this. All the time. That's my guzman. I love y'all. I am not his guzman. Yeah, definitely not guzman.ats like this. All the time. That's my guzman. I love y'all. I'm not his guzman. That is all in his mind. That's definitely not his guzman. Nah, he better claim you.
Starting point is 01:21:51 I don't. He claiming. This is disgusting. He claiming. Alright, this man's son. This man got a whole son. Alright, walking around. I came up here just trying to be outside you because I know y'all together. I don't want no problems. He don't even claim you. No, I don't. That's rude. Stop, man. Stop embarrassing your son no problems. And he don't even claim you. No, I don't. That's rude. Stop, man.
Starting point is 01:22:07 Stop embarrassing your son like this. Your son got to walk around campus. Speak your truth. Speak your truth. There is no truth. It is. It's disgusting. Well, who else you giving your donkey to this morning?
Starting point is 01:22:18 Before half of the hour, I was going to a young man named Dana McIntyre. He needs to come to the front of the congregation. And I'm going to tell you why. I told y'all that everybody who got a PPP loan was going to end up in PPP prison. He's just the latest. Y'all all going to jail. I just want you to know that. We'll talk about it.
Starting point is 01:22:31 All right. We'll get to that next little DS here. She's our guest co-host. This is The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same. The darkest evil in the Conjuring universe returns in The Nun 2. The sequel to the worldwide phenomenon, The Nun, follows Sister Irene as she comes face-to-face with the demonic force Valak, the Demon Nun.
Starting point is 01:22:51 The Nun 2, now playing only in theaters, rated R. Don't be out here acting like a donkey. Hee-haw, bitch. Hee-haw. It's time for Donkey of the Day. I'm a big boy, I can take it. If you feel I deserve it. Ain't no big deal. I know Charlamagne Tha God gonna have some funny shit to say out his mouth. If a guy say something you may not agree with, it doesn't mean I'm mean. Who's getting that donkey?
Starting point is 01:23:11 That donkey. That donkey. Donkey. Donkey. Donkey. Donkey of the Day right here. It's a breakfast club, bitches. You can call me the Donkey of the Day, but like, I mean no harm.
Starting point is 01:23:22 Hey, Donkey of the Day for Tuesday, September 5th goes to a 59-year-old man named Dana McIntyre. Now, back in 2020, I told so many of y'all that were doing those fraudulent PPP loans. I told y'all that y'all was going to land in PPP prison. So many of y'all went to the fake company name generator to find names for your LLCs that didn't exist. Oh, there really is a fake company name generator and some of y'all was on there showing your natural asses and for those who weren't y'all would just you know look around the room and whatever words you saw you would name your company after it you see the phrase straight talk on the magazines and now you straight talk
Starting point is 01:23:58 llc all right talk straight llc if you want to switch it up a little some of y'all was just lazy with it uh ups second day air llc love monsters ll. Some of y'all was just lazy with it. UPS, Second Day Air, LLC, Love Monsters, LLC. Some of y'all got real cute and thought you was getting over on the government and had LLCs like finally getting reparations, LLC, the government owes us, LLC, getting my lick back on Uncle Sam, LLC. Oh, I remember it all. And I just want you to know you're still going to prison, right, just for the record because y'all don't be paying attention. year on august 5th president biden signed the ppp bank
Starting point is 01:24:29 fraud and harmonization act that establishes a 10-year statute of limitations for criminal charges and civil enforcement against a borrower who engages in fraud with respect to a ppp loan basically y'all gonna be investigated and convicted of PPP fraud until the year 2032. OK, so I know some of you out there think y'all got away with it. No, you didn't. They just going down the list and they going to get the trap or die. Raise me LLC LLC real soon. Guaranteed.
Starting point is 01:24:56 OK, and Dana McIntyre's name has been called. See, Dana just got sentenced to two years for getting a fraudulent PPP loan. Now, one of my favorite forms of entertainment in regards to PPP loans is two things. One, seeing how much money y'all had the audacity to be asking for. And two, what y'all spent the money on. Well, needless to say, my guy Dana exceeded all my entertainment expectations. Let's go to NBC Boston for the report, please. So according to federal investigators, Dana McIntyre applied for funding to help his beverly restaurant but lied about the number of employees he had on staff instead they say he took
Starting point is 01:25:30 the money he sold the pizza shop and then bought and fixed up an alpaca farm in vermont among other things including being accused of using airtime on a local radio station to host a show about cryptocurrency so you can imagine hearing of this apparent scam has many local businesses and individuals just feeling really frustrated. Driving to Clues Bar with Dana McIntosh. Dana said, if we're going to do it, we're going to do it, damn it. Number one, $660,000 in fraudulent PPP loans. And he used the money to open up an alpaca farm.
Starting point is 01:26:03 Now, this is my problem and why dana must get donkey today and it says a lot about the society we live in dana is 59 years old he already had his own pizzeria place so he had a business i don't know if his business was profitable uh during covet you know a lot of reports say it wasn't and that's what led him to commit the crime he committed in fact he said in his sentencing uh memorandum that he was a single father of two children whose pizzeria was barely profitable before the pandemic and he became uh afraid you know i mean he got he got afraid because he didn't need the uncertainty of the times look man if you got the capital to open a business and the business is barely profitable you won okay barely profitable still means profitable and if you do take a hit during
Starting point is 01:26:45 the pandemic that's what the ppp loans were supposed to be for and the fact you got six hundred and sixty thousand dollars back in ppp loans but didn't put it towards your actual business the actual pizzeria the employees payroll expenses you already have a business okay and if you use ppp loans for that business then your loan is forgiven but you decided to say f the pizzeria you want to invest in alpacas okay this is what's frustrating me about you dana you are smart okay because you already opened up your own pizzeria but the fact you had the idea to open up an alpaca farm dropping the clues bombs for dana again listen man alpacas are used primarily for fiber production but they're also a meat source
Starting point is 01:27:25 in south america either way you can get to the money having an alpaca farm okay alpaca farms are profitable high value low maintenance not to mention the unique benefits in the form of tax advantages income deferral investment compounding but i know you know all of this dana that's why you did it and that's why you're getting donkey of the day because you're smarter than this and you can't use the fact that you're a single father of two children that's what he said he's a single father of two children because being a single father of two children there's all the more reason you can't afford to commit no damn crimes who's taking care of those kids now you spend in the next two years of your life in prison do you know how long two years is you 59 so that means
Starting point is 01:28:02 you'll come home when you're 61 life Life expectancy of men in America is 77. Granted, some men are living longer nowadays, but let's just say 77 is it. That means you got about 17 more years left. 17 summers, 17 Christmases, 17 Thanksgivings. However you want to break it up. You only got 17 of them things left and you spend intuitive in prison for no other reason than good old american greed kids the lesson to be learned here is if something is too good to be true it probably is and if you got a fraudulent ppp loan it's not a matter of if you're going to jail it's a matter of when please give dana
Starting point is 01:28:39 mcintyre the sweet time to the Hamilton's. Oh, now you are the donkey of the day. You are the donkey of the day. Yee-haw. How much did he get again? $660,000 that he could have used towards his actual business. He had a pizzeria. But then he lied about the employees. A legitimate business. Yes. But he didn't have to towards his actual business. He had a pizzeria. But then he lied about the employees. A legitimate business.
Starting point is 01:29:07 Yes. But he didn't have to do all of that. He could have just told about the actual number of employees he has, the payroll expenses, got what he was supposed to get, put it towards his business. Paula, loan forgiven. That's it. He wasn't trying to sell to alpacas.
Starting point is 01:29:24 Of course. Because they're a good source of fiber. Well, did he sell the alpacas. Of course. Because they're a good source of fiber. Well, did he sell any? I don't think so. Is alpaca a good business? It's profitable. It's alpaca in the back of a gas station in Dallas right now. Really?
Starting point is 01:29:35 Fuel City. Yeah, it's an alpaca. I'm not even sure if it's any other animals. It's like a gas station, a taco place, a car wash, and it's a random alpaca in the back. Do they have a buffet? They got a buffet. I know what that alpaca's the back. Do they have a buffet? They got a buffet? I know what that alpaca's going to be. I'm vegetarian.
Starting point is 01:29:47 I couldn't tell you. I don't want no problems. All right. Well, thank you for that donkey today. BET, peace. We'll see y'all tomorrow. Everybody else, when we come back, Dr. Puma will be joining us. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:29:58 Dr. Puma, man. I told y'all I've done every cardiovascular test since probably december i didn't did everything heart monitor ekg uh what's the one where they put the ink inside you i don't you talk about i can't add all of that so i didn't did them all this one at soaring medical i did with dr puma was the best and i'm gonna have dr puma in here uh to talk to y'all about it all right we'll talk to him when we come back so don't move it's the breakfast club good morning the breakfast club Talk to him when we come back. So don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody.
Starting point is 01:30:30 It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building, Dr. Joseph Puma. Welcome. Welcome. Thank you for having me here. I appreciate it. Dr. Joseph Puma.
Starting point is 01:30:43 I've been telling you all about this Soren Medical Scan. No, that's not what it's called. It's Soarin' Heart Scan. Heart Scan. Heart Scan. At Soarin' Medical. But tell people what Soarin' Medical is first. Dr. Puma.
Starting point is 01:30:55 Soarin' Medical is a cardiovascular medical practice. We have offices throughout four of the five boroughs. Generally, we provide care in underserved communities where there are what are often called health deserts. There's no hospitals or not many physicians around. And we try and meet patients who need our care where they live. And I told y'all, I've had every cardiovascular test there is to have over the past few months. I had named some of them. What was it? EKGs.
Starting point is 01:31:24 What are some of the tests? I think you had stress test. Stress test before you came to us absolutely uh you had a calcium score calcium score right and yours absolutely not only was the best it's the one that put my mind at ease the most well thank you especially after i got those results back but why is it important for people of color to get their heart tested regularly? So it's important for people of color to get their heart tested, period, and not regularly. Because one of the challenges is they're not regularly getting their heart tested. People of color have almost one and a half to two times the rate of death from heart disease. They get the risk factors for heart disease, high blood pressure.
Starting point is 01:32:09 They often develop high blood pressure at an earlier age. It's more difficult to treat. They have diabetes at a higher rate, also a risk factor for heart disease. When they have heart attacks, their outcomes are worse. They have a 30% to 40% increased chance of dying from a heart attack as compared to whites in America. And they often have much higher rates, 70% higher rates of congestive heart failure, which is very disabling. And they develop that often at an earlier age. Well, how can people get tested?
Starting point is 01:32:45 Not how can they test it, of course, but they tell you at 45 years old, you get a colonoscopy. They tell you at this age, you do this. At what age should people be checking their heart? And I go to my doctor twice a year for checkups and not one time has he said, all right, well, you need to check out your heart.
Starting point is 01:33:02 Are there certain signs where maybe people say you should check out your heart? Are there certain signs where maybe people say you should check out your heart or certain signs where they should do certain things or should it be at a particular age where this is where you should start doing it more and more and more? Yeah. So that's a great question. So the answer to that question, I think depends on whether you have symptoms or no symptoms. If you have symptoms of discomfort in your chest, shortness of breath, more easy fatigue, not able to do the usual level of exercise, dizziness, lightheadedness, doesn't matter what age you are, you should be tested. Because let's remember, heart disease is the number one killer in America. And even though
Starting point is 01:33:38 over the last 40 years, the rate of death from heart disease has come down. It has not come down for the black community. All those gains have been in the white community. So second, if you're not necessarily symptomatic, okay, overall, you're working, you feel good, but you're 40 and older as a man or 50 and older as a woman, and you've smoked, have a family history of heart disease, have high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol, then you should be tested. Prior to the Soren heart scan or CAT scanning in general of the heart, the only test we had to determine if you had heart disease was a stress test. But that's not nearly as accurate and doesn't define the heart arteries as Charlemagne, when you came in, we sent you images of your heart arteries. We gave you a risk assessment,
Starting point is 01:34:32 and it's costly stress testing, almost 10 times the cost of a CAT scan. But CAT scanning now takes four minutes or less. If you come into our office, less than 15 minutes of your total time. And you have a fully accurate, greater than 97% accuracy of your heart anatomy, whether there's blockage, calcium, any disruption that could potentially cause a problem later on in life. Well, I was going to ask. So, you know, you go to the dentist, you have a cavity, they can fix it, they can fix it right floss it whatever uh colonoscopy they clean your butt out right so now they don't they know you know he knows what i mean you know they clean it out they cut off the polyps you know what it is uh so if there is a problem with your heart what are the procedures to to can it be done right then and there talk that talk dr puma this is good this just blew me away when you told me this yeah so nationally medicare is now approved putting heart stents right in the office in appropriate
Starting point is 01:35:31 facilities uh new york state has not yet approved that but our center down in lower manhattan is built for that and we have the latest technology and cardiac catheterization labs where you could have a stent put right in at that time. What's a stent? A stent is a metal scaffold that when you have a blockage in your artery, through an artery in your wrist, we put a catheter up into the heart. And then over a wire through the catheter, we can pass a metal stent over a balloon and dilate it and clear away the blockage oh so the stent doesn't stay inside of you it just it just cleans out it stays inside of you it does stay and becomes part of the artery wall okay so so you have a piece of metal in you so every time you go through tsa metal detector you it won't go off okay it it doesn't it it
Starting point is 01:36:21 doesn't go off it's it's very uh it's small, three and a half millimeters usually. But no, it doesn't set off metal detectors. You can use your microwave. But it's the most common treatment for blocked arteries in the world. Can you explain to people what causes heart attacks and strokes? Sure. That's a great question. And I think it's not only a great question in general because it's the leading cause of the world, we call it the stroke belt from North Carolina down to Alabama, primarily because black men in particular have high blood pressure at such
Starting point is 01:37:13 an early age, so difficult to control, less likely for African-Americans to control their blood pressure than white, that the risk of stroke from that elevated pressure over time causes either a blood clot in one of the arteries to the brain or it just ruptures. Same thing with heart attacks or similar at least. Over time, the body builds up plaque in the arteries. Plaque is just cholesterol and calcium. Some of it's from our diet some of it's genetic some of it is accelerated if you have diabetes in fact if you have diabetes you have a three times higher risk of dying from a heart attack than someone who doesn't have diabetes so if you have diabetes that ought to be like a flashing neon sign. I need to see a cardiologist.
Starting point is 01:38:06 And in communities of color, when they have high blood pressure and they have diabetes, when they end up with a heart attack or a stroke, they usually have worse outcomes, a higher risk of dying from it. And if they survive, they're more likely to have a lower functional status, to be in congestive heart failure or to have physical abnormalities that they're not able to do their activities of daily living. All right, we have more with Dr. Puma. When we come back, don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with Dr. Puma. A lot of people in our community are scared to go to the doctor or can't afford to, don't have insurance.
Starting point is 01:38:47 So what are some of the signs that they should look out? Let's start with diabetes. What is a sign of diabetes that people should look out for? First of all, I would say health care should not be just for people well off or people who have insurance. Health care should be a right in this country. There's no reason. I agree. There's just no reason why we should not treat any human being that needs our help, right? And if you come to any one of our offices, we take care of everyone regardless of
Starting point is 01:39:15 their ability to pay. So that's number one. Number two, high blood pressure and diabetes, both when we're in medical school, we're taught that they're called the silent killers because they often don't have symptoms. Okay. But when they do, if you have high blood pressure, you might feel flushed sometimes during the day in your face. You might get headaches. Okay. You might have chest discomfort. You might get short of breath. All right. You don't need to go to a doctor. You can go to any pharmacy even, and they have a blood pressure cuff there usually, and they'll check your blood pressure. So a simple screening for that. And remember something, blood pressure diagnosis often peaks in our 30s or in our 50s. So if you're in communities of color and you're in your 30s,
Starting point is 01:40:02 you should at least get a screening for blood pressure. Diabetes also very elusive in terms of symptoms. Often the first symptoms a diabetic will feel is that they're very thirsty or they're urinating a lot. And that's because their sugar levels are high and it's making them urinate, which then makes them thirsty. They often feel weak, have a brain fog. They just never feel clear. And again, simple pinprick of your finger can tell you if your sugar is high or low. That you probably do need to go to a doctor to have that checked or simple blood test. But the bigger point is simple screening things or just self-awareness. You bring up fear.
Starting point is 01:40:45 Fear is a big issue. Fear is a big issue for many people. People don't come to me. It's not like, I don't know if you're married or you have kids, but you remember when you— We both married. You met my wife. I can't bring that up again. Wow.
Starting point is 01:41:06 Carolina is okay. I can't bring that up again. Wow. Carolina is okay. I can't bring that up again. But anyway. But remember, the first time you're pregnant and you go to the doctor, everyone's happy and it's an exciting time. When people come to me, they're scared. They're not sure what's going on. They may not feel well. They may have a family history.
Starting point is 01:41:30 So we have to deal with that fear. One of the ways you deal with that fear is by bringing healthcare to them, as opposed to saying, here, I'm in a big fancy building. Come to me. I'm really smart. We go to them. We want to be in their community. And then if there is an issue where they need a test, make it easy for them. Okay. Explain, talk. You know, people are a lot smarter than sometimes we give them credit for. And understanding where they're from and and trying to learn about them and their family can help kind of bring people together and have an honest conversation. I think people want you to talk about the when I asked you what what what causes the heart attack. So I want you to talk about like the blockage and how the plaque breaks off and that stuff yeah so in in the coronary artery so for strokes if you have high blood pressure just the high blood pressure right it's the same as if you have high blood pressure in your water heater at home if it gets to a certain level boom it just pops but in the heart arteries
Starting point is 01:42:19 you can even have a mild to moderate plaque in your arteries. And then some stressor, you're smoking a cigarette one day, you're in an argument with someone, you're having a stressful time at work. It can cause that plaque to rupture and then causes a blood clot. And that's a big challenge. The reason when you asked DJ Envy about who should have the scan, and we said even in people who are not symptomatic if they have risk factors they should have a scan because one in three people that have a heart attack find out they're having they have heart disease the day they have their
Starting point is 01:42:56 heart attack and out of those one in three die the day they have their heart attack so it's it's often unpredictable so unless you know you have some plaque, then there are strategies, as we discussed, whether it's statin medications, aspirin, counseling to help you maybe stop smoking if you smoke, weight reduction, things of that nature that can help. But heart attacks are, I like to think of it this way. If you're lucky enough to have symptoms, it's kind of like when you're driving your car and the little light goes on and says the tire's running low. Usually if you're having symptoms or you see that light, you'll attend to it so that you don't end up with a blowout, let's say, on the highway. That's like a heart attack.
Starting point is 01:43:45 But many people don't have symptoms until the day they have their heart attack. And I want to read my results that Dr. Soren sent me. Because y'all send five things after you have the test. It's the images of your coronary heart arteries, your heart flow analysis of the arteries, right? What is that exactly? So the heart flow analysis is if there is any plaque in the artery, it's a heart flow is a company based in California that has proprietary AI software that can actually assess the flow to determine if that plaque,
Starting point is 01:44:17 that blockage is obstructive, needs to be treated with a stent or bypass, or non-obstructive needs aggressive medical therapy. It's amazing software. We use it on all our patients. And it's that alone, that software alone has been proven to make you, to reduce mortality, increases survival by having the Soren Heart Scan with HeartFlow. And so y'all send the Soren Heart Scan with HeartFlow. And y'all send the Soren Heart Scan final report. You send your blood work report. And finally, which I really loved, the 10-year risk of cardiovascular events, which is heart attack, stroke, or death.
Starting point is 01:44:54 Now, this is what put my mind at ease. Overall, your results are excellent. Despite a high calcium score for your age, there is only minimal plaque in your heart arteries. Furthermore, your lipid... Cholesterol profile. Yeah, your cholesterol profile is excellent age there's only minimal plaque in your heart arteries furthermore your lipid cholesterol profile your cholesterol profile is excellent and well below goal on your current statin medication and aspirin which i would continue your blood pressure and heart rate are those of a man 20
Starting point is 01:45:14 years younger all these factors contribute to a very low 10-year cardiovascular risk of only 3.5 optimal for men of your age would be three percent so you are in very good shape. That put my mind at ease more than all of the tests I did prior to coming to Soarin' Medical. And how long did it take? Four minutes to do the scan. I was looking at my heart within the next 15. I think I got those results the next day. That's correct. I think.
Starting point is 01:45:39 Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's correct. So I would flip it back to you. I would definitely like to sign up because I definitely would like to make sure that I'm here for my kids. I have six kids, so I want to make sure I'm here for my kids. You'd be welcome to come. And, again, I just think the access, making it easy, right? You all are people of means, but it's for everybody. And you can really make a great impact for people who may have some fear,
Starting point is 01:46:08 aren't sure what the entry point is, aren't sure what to do. So I appreciate you inviting me. I appreciate you taking the time and talking about it. And I hope we can help some people. And where can they get more information or reach you directly? On our website, Soarinmedicalny.com. We're on Instagram. I've never been on any of these things.
Starting point is 01:46:32 I've been practicing for over 30 years. But in the past year, all the young folks in our practice have us on Instagram and on the website now. And they can call the office or send us an email. As you saw, we respond right away. We get you in right away and we give you comprehensive results. And if we think there's something more, we make sure that we shepherd you through your healthcare journey to good health. Everybody needs to go do this, man. I've had too many friends, you know, either having heart attacks or having strokes over the past few years or dying of heart attacks and strokes. So you should
Starting point is 01:47:07 definitely go to us, Soarin' Medical, and get the Soarin' Heart Scan. Absolutely. I'm going as soon as I can. And I appreciate you so much for joining us. Thank you very much. Dr. Joseph Puma, it's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. We are The Breakfast Club. We got our guest co-host, Lil D, with us this morning. Yes, sir. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:47:28 And let's get to the rumors. Dallas, Texas. Say what I'm saying. Dallas, baby. You got to make sure you're empty. You feel me? You got to be. You know what time it is. This is the rumor report.
Starting point is 01:47:36 I feel great. Been up since 2. So early? Yeah, why not? On the Breakfast Club. Look at this Lil D lady again. Let's go. Luther Taylor made it. Lil D said she's not from Dallas, though she's from louisiana you know what i'm saying i got them purple and gold lsu 12 zone
Starting point is 01:47:51 i'll get it twisted all day um i thought we were done being mad about the song what but apparently not because there was a whole lawsuit with cardi b and megan they won the lawsuit though but this artist was trying to uh claim that they stole the lyrics, some of the lyrics from WAP and Thought-ish from her. So, okay, you got this rapper named Niecy X, and she said that, first of all, Niecy X has a song called
Starting point is 01:48:15 Grab Him By The Pussycat. Okay. Let's start there. Now, the lyrics in question from WAP are Pussycat So Wet and Ninja's Wildin'. That's it. She said they stole those lyrics from her. Obviously, a judge was
Starting point is 01:48:30 like, girl, that sequential order of words is not yours altogether. So the lawsuit was completely thrown out. And you don't own the patent on wet poom poom, ma'am. No. We over our wet poom poom statue for the day. I can say poom poom Statue for the day
Starting point is 01:48:45 I can say poom poom Yeah but She didn't say Nothing wrong She said pussycat That's what y'all Wrote on the paper And also
Starting point is 01:48:52 Cardi and Megan About to spin the block Too with Bungles You know that Yeah they got a single Coming out this week Called Bungles Oh yeah
Starting point is 01:49:02 Yo yo yo This song Yeah they was Trying to play I'm just glad That they threw that out Cause it's like Come on bro Peace or wet That's a coming out this week called bungles oh yeah yeah yeah this song yeah they was trying to play i'm just glad that they threw that out because it's like come on bro p so wet that's a anyone can say that he is supposed to be wet it period i'm talking about urine what you're talking about oh yeah what are y'all talking about continue on little d shout out my boy plies who is back to
Starting point is 01:49:21 being original um plies said you know plies huh i ain't never met plies but i love him baby um okay nah but he was saying that like i'm not into women who wear expensive clothes nothing against them you look good in them that's great but for me i just like women who can make simplicity look great and i agree with him plies look better with his original teeth um and i'm a thrifter give me about a hundred dollars i'm gonna come out that thrift store with 12 skirts three shoes and like 15 i'm gonna have several outfits i'm sneaking they come from the thrift store okay they did not no absolutely but i'm aware of 7y and jordan so like you know my shoes still cheap okay but like yeah i i like
Starting point is 01:50:00 that he said originality is a turn on to him And I think what he really meant was it's one thing to just go and get your designer and like you look good and that's great. But it's another thing when you can grab a shirt out your closet, grab some socks, you put it together and it's like, yo, she put that on. That's true. But it's not about what you wear. It's how you wear it. How you rock it. Absolutely. You could even have designer on and rock it in a unique way.
Starting point is 01:50:23 You can look corny, but you can also rock it in a unique way that nobody else is doing. I think that's what he's saying. He just likes originality. Correct. But I don't think you should be worrying about any woman's wardrobe if you ain't paying for it. Whether it's high or low. Drop the mic. No, period.
Starting point is 01:50:36 That's what he likes. If you don't like a certain thing, this is right not to like it, but they pay you to not. You ain't paying for it. It's my call. You ain't just got to holler, though. High or low. You ain't paying for it. It's my call. You ain't just got to holler though. High or low. You ain't paying for it mind your business.
Starting point is 01:50:46 All right. Well, Tory Lanez, you know he married now. Tory Lanez married his baby mama. You're not happy? What you laughing about,
Starting point is 01:50:55 man? It's love. Love is, okay. Well, he married his baby mama. We only found out because he's trying to get bail
Starting point is 01:51:01 while they're trying to decide what they're going to do with the appeal, right? And so they're going through all the paperwork. And they're like, hold on. Did he marry his baby mama? And he did.
Starting point is 01:51:08 Her name is Raina. And I can't pronounce her last name. Try. Shut. All right. Let's see. A-G-N-E is like Ayn. So I'm going to say Shassane.
Starting point is 01:51:16 But I mean, S-C-H-A-N-E. S-H-A-G-N-E. All right. We got you. We got you. We got you. We're going to call her Raina. Her first name Raina.
Starting point is 01:51:24 But yeah, so Raina and Tori are married. Now they have a six-year-A-G-N-E. All right, we got you. We got you. We're going to call her Raina. Her first name Raina. But yeah, so Raina and Tori are married now. They have a six-year-old son named Kai. And what they're saying is if you let him out of jail, he's going to live with them. He's an active father. He a husband now. So let me out of jail. And they're trying to see if they're going to grant him bail. Oh, if he's married, if he's locked up, he gets those visits.
Starting point is 01:51:40 We got to have sex on the visit. I would never do that to a woman, though. You know what I'm saying conjugal visits no I'm saying unless we were already engaged and planning on getting married
Starting point is 01:51:50 you probably wouldn't shoot someone either though I mean you and Tori are a little different that's true too but I'm saying if I was already engaged to her and planning on getting married
Starting point is 01:51:58 then I would do that but if I wasn't even engaged or anything and we didn't have no plans of getting married but now I'm about to spend the next 10 years in prison. I'm not putting no ring on your finger.
Starting point is 01:52:08 I'm not doing that to you. How would you do that to her? Why would you shoot somebody in the foot? I mean, that too. But how would you do that to that young lady? You're like trying to apply logic to something that's illogical. That is facts. Why was you telling yourself on the phone?
Starting point is 01:52:24 Remember the jail call? I would never get up. If I wasn't drunk, I wouldn't have done it. I'm just telling her I'm sorry. Like, bro, you know this recorded? Like, you're not... You want to go to jail. It's a fool good. This is all true. Lil D, got a point? This is all true. Alright. Alright, well that is your rumor
Starting point is 01:52:40 report. Thank you, Lil D! Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Alright. Alright. Up next is the People's Choice Mix. Of course, we weren't here yesterday.
