What's happening? Good morning. Good morning. And now we have Tiffany Cross. She's stepped in and she's going to be
Starting point is 00:03:06 a second guest host this morning. Good morning. Good morning. I call myself Eddie Rye's honorary daughter. Good morning, everybody. There you go. Good morning. Dropping the clues behind Angela Rye and Tiffany Cross. Yes. It is a Friday. And it's a freaky, freaky, freaky Friday as well. That's right. We'll talk about that later.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Young Miami gave us a great freaky, freaky Friday topic. A couple of them. A couple of them. Which way you want to go We'll talk about that later. Young Miami gave us a great Freaky Freaky Friday topic. A couple of them. A couple of them. Which way you want to go? We'll talk about that later. So many of them. And also,
Starting point is 00:03:32 Eli Manning will be checking in. Nobody cares. Yes, everybody cares. Of course, the Giants will be playing this weekend. They will be beating the Eagles this Saturday, 8-15. Allegedly.
Starting point is 00:03:40 No, they will be. So he'll be checking in. We'll be talking about playoffs and all that other stuff. Does your Cowboys play? Or did they lose already? Of course my Cowboys play this weekend. Just cool.
Starting point is 00:03:48 They play the San Francisco 49ers. Stop playing with us, okay? Okay. It'll be short-lived. Very short-lived. All right. Well, let's get to the show. Why are you looking at me like that?
Starting point is 00:03:55 You're just being disrespectful for no reason. Oh. It's the Cowgirls. But I don't have no expectations for my Cowboys. See, the difference between me and you is you have expectations for the Giants. I'm just going to enjoy the moment. Okay. That's it. All right. Well, we got front page news. Next, the difference between me and you is you have expectations for the Giants. I'm just going to enjoy the moment. That's it. Alright, well
Starting point is 00:04:05 we got front page news. Next, what are we talking about? We are going to talk about Kamala Harris going to Tallahassee, Florida for an abortion rally. And we're also going to talk about Ron DeSantis and that doggone Stop Woke Act again. Why don't we talk about the cyber attack that happened to the banks? We got to talk about that too. You want to talk about that
Starting point is 00:04:22 some more? Yeah. Okay. We talked about it yesterday? You don't remember talking about Bank of America yesterday? I don't know. We did. You don't remember? Remember we kept saying he was not here yesterday. I was at the doctor yesterday. They said, I got borderline high cholesterol.
Starting point is 00:04:34 What's borderline high cholesterol? He said, I got borderline high cholesterol. I'm not getting enough sleep. So, you know, I'm officially old out here, bro. I don't mean you got to forget like that. We had a whole conversation about banking black. Maybe we need to bank black again. I got to drink.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Take my JNCO below with it. How do you pronounce it? Not like that. You don't ever pronounce anything right, but that's all right. Okay. All right. Well, Front Page News is next. It's The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:04:56 Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We have our guest hosts this morning, Tiffany Cross and Angela Rye. And let's get into some front page news. Now, NFL. Over the weekend, of course, playoffs.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Jaguars take on the Chiefs. The Giants will wash the Eagles. Boy, are you confident. Bills take on the Bengals. And Cowboys take on the 49ers. You're supposed to be confident. But I don't see the Giants beating the Eagles. And you don't really believe that either.
Starting point is 00:05:23 But you supposed to root for your team. They gave you a helmet this week, too. They gave you a helmet this week, too? They gave me a helmet this week. Eli's calling in this morning. Yes. Okay. Congratulations. What else we got, Ms. Ra?
Starting point is 00:05:32 I'm so mad. I don't care about any of this because my Seahawks lost. But anyway, what I do care about is the 50th anniversary of Roe versus Wade. There is a rally in Tallahassee, Florida that Madam Vice President Kamala Harris will be joining this Sunday to commemorate the anniversary of Roe. And sadly, as you all know, the Supreme Court, of course, reversed that really important decision for women with the Dobbs decision last summer, Dobbs versus Jackson. But speaking of Florida and going backwards, Ron DeSantis is at it again. Oh, God. So Ron DeSantis is blocking the College Board's African American Studies AP curriculum.
Starting point is 00:06:12 He's claiming that it violates Florida's new Stop Woke Act. Y'all know what Stop Woke means? Yes. This is stupid. I do hate wokeness, though. I think that a lot of these woke people to get in that they need in that but the way they're using woke is totally different here's the acronym stop the wrongs to our kids and employees act now do you really think that ronda santos cares about stopping the wrongs to
Starting point is 00:06:36 the kids not at all employees come on now so at first blush this sounds like something we should all agree on right um until you get clarity on how they define wrong in this bill, stop woke proponents have a dangerously broad definition of critical race theory, which, by the way, is not a bad or negative thing. I took critical race theory in college. It helped me to understand colorblindness actually can be racist. And, for example, this administration is challenging this course on the grounds that it violates the act. And in the letter to the College Board, it says, as presented, the content of this course is inexplicably contrary to Florida law and significantly lacks educational value.
Starting point is 00:07:18 And further, it states, in the future, should College Board be willing to come back to the table with lawful historically accurate content FDOE will always be willing to reopen the discussion now I want y'all to know when I was in high school there was a AP European history class right they have otherwise known as history right you talk about Asian history all these things you're all the sudden when it comes to an african-american studies class that's gonna violate it right it sounds to me like he wants white people to continue teaching our kids the bs black history they've been teaching us in schools yeah no or bs history they've been teaching us in schools to the point about george washington having wooden teeth in his mouth right about uh slavery like kanye slavery was a choice right like all of these great christopher columbus
Starting point is 00:08:01 sailed the ocean blue that dude was lost. That's how folks got called Indians. I mean, the last time we talked about Florida Charlemagne, you know how I feel about Florida. Yes. So this is very consistent. That is true. I think that the scary part of this is DeSantis is widely considered the front runner
Starting point is 00:08:17 of the Republican Party. So the more obnoxious he can be, the better it is for his base. This class that he's trying to cancel, it doesn't just focus on black history. It teaches history. It teaches culture. It teaches politics. It teaches geography. So the baffling
Starting point is 00:08:32 thing is, why you want your kids to be dumb? You know, you literally want your kids to be dumber than my kids. And I think the larger subtext to this is, it is hard to talk about the system of whiteness to white people when you have people in positions of power who value white feelings more than they do truth fact or our very lives and
Starting point is 00:08:52 ron desantis is the poster child for that kind of bs and if we don't stop him because florida i mean it used to be a purple state now it's pretty much solid red but i think if somebody does not stop these kind of draconian policies that we're going to see it cast a dark shadow over all American education. I would like to see what he considers acceptable black history to be taught. Acceptable African-American history. Oh, probably the way that they whitewashed Dr. King, right? Like, that's it. Dr. King.
Starting point is 00:09:20 That's it. Malcolm X. No, they're not going to give you Malcolm X. They gave us Malcolm X in school. They gave us a little bit of Malcolm X. Not in Florida. Oh, not in Florida. They're not going to give you that. Did you have a black history teacher? not gonna give you malcolm x in school they gave us a little bit of malcolm not in florida oh not in florida they're not gonna give you have a black history they'll give you dmx in florida before they give you malcolm x no this is an important question high school yeah did you have a black history teacher
Starting point is 00:09:33 no and you still had a teacher that taught you are you saying a black history teacher no like a black teacher who was teaching in history context though he went to school in queens queens is right here new york Harlem you know what i mean but i went to catholic school so we didn't get that we went to we just learned malcolm x martin luther king but it's still new york is what i'm saying rosa parks that was it but then i went to hampton and it was all you know it was all in the hampton we dove into it but in new york middle school we learned a lot but high school we didn't yeah they're not gonna tell you about marcus garvey they're not gonna tell you about denmark vesey like none of that's gonna happen no no it was
Starting point is 00:10:05 rosa paul's martin luther king and little malcolm that probably is what the sanders want just martin luther king keep it to the king no really and they've used martin luther king's legacy to say that he wouldn't have even supported affirmative action because he wants you to be judged by the content of your character so this is a problem stop woke that maybe you need ron desantis to go to sleep since you want wokeness to be sleepy. I'm going to vote for Ron DeSantis in 2024 just to piss you off. Shut up. All right. It's so silly.
Starting point is 00:10:29 And that is your front page news. Did you hear about the New York City police officers that were having sex in the car in the parking lot? I did hear about that. So they were having sex in the parking lot. A neighbor heard a woman yelling. So she called the police. She thought the woman was screaming for help.
Starting point is 00:10:41 So that man was putting in work. She thought the woman was screaming for help. So the police come down there and it's the police department parking lot and two police officers were having sex. It's half-hour. They both got suspended. Yeah, they both got suspended.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Hard at work. That man was putting in work. Hard at work. You ready for Freaky Friday? Jesus. All right. Great. You thought the woman
Starting point is 00:10:59 was screaming for help. That's right. Damn, mind your business. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051 if you need to vent. Phone lines are wide open. It's a Friday. So hit us up now. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, phone lines are wide open. It's a Friday, so hit us up now. It's The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Wake up, wake up. Wake your ass up. This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're mad or blessed, we want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? This is Jarvis. How you doing? Jarvis, what up to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? It's Jarvis. How you doing?
Starting point is 00:11:27 Jarvis, what up? Get it off your chest, brother. Yo, I really am upset about this whole thing in Florida about the, first of all, the woke act. What exactly is the woke act? It sounds dumb, first of all, because it can't be woke if you're not going to get America to talk talked about true black history true black history is the thing that they put white people
Starting point is 00:11:48 the thing not white people I'm sorry but the thing that they put the white people plus black people is true black history
Starting point is 00:11:56 in America yeah it's true that is true American history that's right what did you say I said that is true American history
Starting point is 00:12:03 what they did to black people in this country is part of American history, whether they like it or not. And the question is... Yeah, but they won't teach it. They won't teach us about it. They won't teach us any...
Starting point is 00:12:11 And if you're smart enough to actually learn about all this stuff on your own, like the young lady said, Columbus was lost. He didn't actually discover anything. He was lost. But they're not going to tell you that. They're not going to tell you that George Washington actually owned slaves. They're not going to tell you that stuff. But they'll tell you that they're not gonna tell you that george
Starting point is 00:12:25 washington actually owned slaves they're not gonna tell you that stuff but they'll tell you george washington was the first president and all of that they'll tell you all the good stuff that they did but they won't tell you the other things that they actually did to our people well and the problem that we have is we often wait for somebody to tell us. And I'm so glad that you're outraged. Sometimes that's the very thing that we need to motivate us to move to action, right? To do something about it. So how can we turn that outrage into something positive for these kids? We can, you know, have teach-ins and make sure they're learning when their teachers won't teach them.
Starting point is 00:12:59 And when their school books are used to teach them lies. That's been happening for centuries. And flood the area with banned books. All the books they're trying to ban. Which includes most of Toni Morrison's book, who's considered an American treasure. Hello, who's this? Oh, f*** no. Amy, you can't be cursing.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Amy, you can't be cursing. You ain't even brushed your teeth yet. That's the wild part. Oh, but the funny thing is, I just did. Oh, okay. And I used some Listerine. Hey. Okay. Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Oh, no. Is this Charlamagne? Is this Charlamagne? God, is it? Why are you calling the breakfast club if you don't expect to talk to us? I didn't expect it. I called, like, okay, all right. I called twice.
Starting point is 00:13:40 It was busy, and I said, I'm going to try one more time. Well, you got through, man. You got through. Amy, get it off your chest, mama. There's really nothing on my chest. I feel like it's a mystery. Oh, Lord. She just got home.
Starting point is 00:13:49 You just wanted to say good morning. All right. There's nothing on your chest? What about the hair? The hair? What hair on hair? How do you know what hair on hair? You got hair on your chest?
Starting point is 00:13:57 She just got home from the club. The hell no. The hell no. Oh, OK. Where you at? Where you calling from? She just got home from the club. I can tell. That's what I'm saying hell no. I'm the hell no. Where you at? Where you calling from? She just got home from the club. I can tell.
Starting point is 00:14:06 That's what I'm saying. No, that is the most ironic thing. I'm sober because I've been on the Avacare diet. I haven't been drinking that much. What's the Avacare diet? She said that much. What's the Avacare diet? You know, like, you know.
Starting point is 00:14:22 No added sugar. No added sugar. You just made that up? Yeah. I gave them African boys up, man. They cheated. Man, you all overplayed for them. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:14:34 How many African boys did you have? I only had one. Oh, too much for you? Oh, no. No, I have a, okay. I have a 23-year-old daughter at that school. That's why they're getting over there. This is not what the call's about.
Starting point is 00:14:48 I don't know what this call is. Well, Amy, you have a good morning, man. And please don't drink and drive. Honey, I'm not drinking and driving. Good. You sound okay. All right. Have a good day, Amy.
Starting point is 00:14:58 Have a good day. Where you calling from? Gotta be Florida. No, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Oh, Indiana. Okay, okay. All right, right well have a good one mama blessings to you safe all right Jesus envy was hanging out before the call started yeah as soon as I heard it get it off your chest 800-585-1051 if you need to vent hit us up now it's the
Starting point is 00:15:17 Breakfast Club good morning the Breakfast Club as a kid I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best and you're gonna figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty

Starting point is 00:17:36 There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tribe own country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with the black powder, you know,
Starting point is 00:18:01 with explosive warhead. Oh my god. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. Starting point is 00:19:41 And what if your past itself was a secret and the time had suddenly come to share that past with your child? These are just a few of the powerful and profound questions we'll be asking on our 11th season of Family Secrets. Some of you have been with us since season one and others are just tuning in. This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed. You better have the same energy. We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? Good morning.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Good morning. This is Priscilla. Hey, Priscilla. From St. Pete. From where? Ah, yes. I was calling to get something off my chest. I was listening to you guys this morning
Starting point is 00:20:45 You guys are absolutely right But I'm going to say this first The suit that DeSantis wears Is not truly the suit he wants to wear And somebody will get that when they know Down the road somewhere No, you ain't going to hit us with one of them old Florida parables Explain what you mean by that
Starting point is 00:21:01 Explain what you mean by that I'm past 50, I'll put it that way Explain what you mean by that. I ain't that old. I'm past 50. I'll put it that way. But what I was going to say is that even though they don't do our kids right in educating them in black history, we can do that at home. A lot of the stuff that we leave up to these teachers, they have a system to teach our kids as parents. It starts at home. I agree. We can teach them, make them aware, so they're not blindsided.
Starting point is 00:21:24 You know what I'm saying? They don't know their history. It starts teach them, make them aware, so they're not blindsided. You know what I'm saying? They don't know their history. Start that home, love. And I want to say, you guys are doing a wonderful job. You don't give us what we want to hear, you give us what we need to hear. Before you hang up, can I ask you a question? Are you a registered voter?
Starting point is 00:21:39 Yes, I am. I'm a registered voter that's active, yes. And do you vote in the local school board elections? I vote. Yes, I do. Yes, ma'am. Because guess what? My kids are grown, but guess what? I got nieces, nephews, grandkids. So, yes. That's good to hear.
Starting point is 00:21:54 I'm not going to speak something I don't act on. Yeah, and a lot of times they use the school board elections as a launching pad to advance a lot of these conservative policies. So, that's good to hear. I hope you encourage your friends and family and neighbors to do the same. Hello, who's this? Oh, nah. What's going on, dog? I'm tired of y'all acting fake surprised like Taylor Swift when she went in the war. Y'all know y'all calling up here.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Y'all know y'all calling the Breakfast Club. What's your name, bro? Allison, man. What's up, Allison? Go by my phone name, Judah. Okay. Oh, boy. What's up, Judah? I got a my phone name, Judah. Okay. Oh, boy. What's up, Judah? I got
Starting point is 00:22:27 a phone for y'all. Oh, my goodness. We don't know. You gotta ask us if we wanna hear it first. Well, Charlton, would you like to hear my phone? No. Ah, man. Hi, I'm the same as the guy. How are you? I'm good. How are you, Judah Ellison?
Starting point is 00:22:45 I'm alright. You know, I'm a cool young black man. Come on, man. Give good. How are you, Judah Ellison? I'm all right. You know, I'm a cool young black man. Come on, man. Give me a sip on. Give me a sip on. Come on, brother. Give me a sip on. Go.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Hey, all right. Oh, Lord have mercy. Jesus. Life is beauty. Shorty is me. That's so terrifying. You can't see and you can't succeed. My pen mundane, but All is your pre
Starting point is 00:23:05 You flew it from the ground up Who didn't see? See, I knew you You like Kool-Aid Leave me, leave me Oh yeah, Kool-Aid man's voice Hear that flea, hear that flea Yeah, yeah, yeah
Starting point is 00:23:16 Kool-Aid's face is always Pressuring me with no fear Fletching you up, telling me that I was near Baby, I'm gonna caress you up I'm just saying Judah, caressing you up. Judah, what's plan B, King? What else do you do? What's plan B, bro? Write a poem about it and figure it out.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Figure out your next steps in life, okay? Have a good one. Alright, brother. Jesus. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. When we come back, we got your rumor report. We got to tell you about Young Thug. It might not be a good idea to pass Young Thug drugs in the middle of trial.
Starting point is 00:23:53 You know, people calling that dumb, but that's actually sad. We're going to talk about it. We'll get into that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
Starting point is 00:24:07 We are The Breakfast Club. Good morning. We got our guest host with us this morning on this Friday. We have Miss Angela Rye. Hey. Hey. And Tiffany Cross. Welcome.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Hey. All right. Well, let's get to the rumors. Let's talk Alec Baldwin. Rumor has it. Rumor. Rumor has it. Call out a name or you gossiping or you chatty patty.
Starting point is 00:24:24 I'm gossiping. This is The Rumor Report. I mean, I guess. I'm gossiping. This is the rumor report. I mean, I guess we on The Breakfast Club. This is where the tea spills, right? Yes. On The Breakfast Club. Now, I don't know if you remember last year, Alec Baldwin was shooting a movie. He had to do something involving a gun.
Starting point is 00:24:36 That wasn't all he was shooting. And the gun accidentally went off and he killed a young lady. So now they're saying prosecutors will be charging Alec Baldwin with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in the killing of this young lady. So now they're saying prosecutors will be charging Alec Baldwin with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in the killing of this young woman. That is absolutely wrong. That is not the right thing to do. How do you charge somebody for manslaughter when they're on a movie
Starting point is 00:24:55 set doing their job? It's somebody else's job to load the gun. He's just acting. How's he supposed to know that the gun was loaded? How do you charge him? She's charged as well. Well, they said he wasn't supposed to know that the gun was loaded? How do you charge him? Well, the person who loaded the gun was charged as well. She's charged as well. Two counts of manslaughter. Well, they said he wasn't supposed to pull the trigger.
Starting point is 00:25:10 And they said they believed he pulled the trigger. He said he didn't pull the trigger. But, you know, I was doing East New York. Of course, I'm not a regular on East New York. Before you got your nose job. No, it's not before I got my nose job. But they take it really serious. Any scene with a gun, they make everybody actually check the gun. So the actor checks the gun. The police officer checks the gun to make sure there's no bullets in the gun
Starting point is 00:25:27 then they don't point the gun directly at you they point it to the side so it looks like it's at you but it's never facing you so i don't know how this happened because they is so much protocol so that that gun could never shoot you so there's never a bullet in it so i really don't know you're a lawyer they didn't he didn't shoot at the that the actor he shot at the cinematographer that's who got yeah that's who got killed so that may have been a little off like playing around like he was like waving the gun or no they were in scene they were rolling it was in production and he shot he says he pointed the gun he says he never pulled the trigger but it's one of those shots you know the camera's pointing at you when you hold the gun
Starting point is 00:26:04 like that he says he never pulled the trigger the it's one of those shots you know the camera's pointing at you when you hold the gun like that he says he never pulled the trigger the sad part about this story is the woman who was shot left behind a child they have no idea
Starting point is 00:26:11 you know the well being of this child emotionally or financially whoever put real ammo in the gun is the one who should be held liable she's charged
Starting point is 00:26:19 I don't see how the actor gets charged in this situation well there should be no live rounds on set either duh and they found five more live rounds but there should be no live rounds on set either. Duh. And they found
Starting point is 00:26:26 five more live rounds, but there should be no live rounds. That's crazy. How do you make that kind of, that's so many mistakes. Like, at every point there's a mistake.
Starting point is 00:26:34 I feel like, I don't want to lie on them or engage in misinformation, but I feel like Alec Baldwin did something else that was out here. I don't know. I'm going to have to look that up.
Starting point is 00:26:43 Sorry, y'all. I don't want to be lying on nobody. I don't know if I'm Alec. to look that up. Sorry, y'all. I don't want to be lying on nobody. I don't know if I'm Alex. I'm suing everybody. I think his name is Alec. Alec. Alec Baldwin. Now, also, young Thug was in court yesterday, and while he was in court, his co-defendant
Starting point is 00:26:55 allegedly passed him a Percocet. Now, investigators say Thug was sitting next to his attorney when Adams approached him and shook his hand, and it was that moment that Adam allegedly slipped Doug a Percocet. Now we actually hear from Doug's attorney, right? The reality is Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom on yesterday. One of the co-defendants on his way to the restroom attempted to pass something to Mr. Williams, who immediately turned it over to the deputy. He did not know it was allegedly Percocet?
Starting point is 00:27:26 Did not know. We don't know what it is. Did not know what it was, turned it over to the deputy right away. The deputies took action. The individual who had the contraband, not Mr. Williams, was taken into the back, where I'm told he ingested whatever he had. He had to be taken to the hospital, and as a result, the court was terminated for the rest of the day. He had Percocet, marijuana, tobacco, wrapped in plastic, and spread out with food seasonings to conceal the odor.
Starting point is 00:27:54 Lemon pepper. Now, before we get into how we feel about this situation, I overheard you telling somebody how you would have snuck the contraband in. And you wouldn't never tell me nothing like that. Because you know I would do exactly what I'm doing right now. Bring it to the radio. But I overheard you. So I want to give you
Starting point is 00:28:08 the opportunity to come clean, King. Tell the people how you said you would have snuck the contraband. Let me tell you something. Don't ever tell Lenard a secret. I overheard him. Somebody told you that. I overheard you.
Starting point is 00:28:20 I was like, wow. Rumor report. I was just in the office typing. I was like, wow, I can't believe I'm hearing what I'm hearing. What did you say, Envy? I said if I needed a Percocet that bad, I would just have to go all the way out with it.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Don't pass it to me. Just kiss me and spit it in my mouth. Drop on the clues bomb for Envy, damn it. Wow. Who's going to stop that? At the trial? I don't think it goes down like that. He passed him in it with his hand.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Well, he shouldn't have done that either. You were going to get somebody tased. You can't be engaged in all that physical contact. I was joking out there. How did you hear that? I didn't hear that. It didn't sound like no joke to me. You sounded dead serious.
Starting point is 00:28:54 What do you think, Tiff? I mean, Young Thug, look, he did hand the substance right over to the deputy immediately. I think I'm more concerned about the brazen disrespect of the young man to hand this to him. And, you know, there's something about being young where maybe life is abstract to you, that you don't really take seriously the consequences of your actions. But that young man is going to face increased charges.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Now, he was already being, you know... A co-defendant, yeah. Right, exactly, with the RICO charges. And to add this, it doesn't help his case at all. And it's really sad to see. I think Angela brought up a good point about it punctuates the RICO charges. And to add this, it doesn't help his case at all. And it's really sad to see. I think Angela brought up a good point about it punctuates the issue of addiction in our community. It is, and it's not even just in our community. We're seeing this running rampant all throughout this country.
Starting point is 00:29:36 And I think we really have to take a look at what is going on. They're willing to risk it all at this trial for whatever this high was, whatever this numbing feeling is, we have to really look at what's going on with addiction. So if I'm a judge, I have to factor that in, right? Like this brother might have an addiction problem. These things he's being accused of, if true, could be fueled by drugs. You hope the judge would do that. So maybe jail isn't the solution.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Maybe it's in tense rehab. Jail likely is not the solution. But unfortunately, we are subjected to a very punishing criminal justice system in this country, sadly. So if you're a lawyer, wouldn't you use that to thug the advantage? It's not only drugs. Murder is more than just drugs. It's not just a Percocet case or a weed case. You're trying to say that
Starting point is 00:30:15 it's impairing judgment, right? Yes. And I think that there is some truth to that. It sounds like Young Thug's attorney is not willing to use that as a mitigating fact in this case because he's like we didn't even know what this was man now that's ridiculous i didn't know you could walk up to somebody and hand them something i didn't think so either that's why you can't kiss him neither you can't give nobody but i'm like if you want to go that far
Starting point is 00:30:36 you can't do it but you're looking to get somebody tased no i get what they be saying though but because it'll cause so much commotion right now I already got the perk you know me, but it's also thug. It's not like people like oh Talk about addiction and then tell people how they could get the Percocet. Don't you think that's a little bit about love? And that is your Two brothers kissing in the courtroom that would just just be, it would be so shocking. Nobody would even think about it. You look and get somebody to take. Right.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Would it? It'd be a hell of a distraction. You know, it would be. All right. Well, all right. That is your rumor report. Front page news is next. What are we talking?
Starting point is 00:31:15 Give me a little tease. All right. So, you know, the State of the Union is coming up with President Biden. And it's rumored that he's going to make his reelection announcement shortly after the State of the Union. We don't want that. I know. I mean, it's record breaking. He's going to make his re-election announcement shortly after the State of the Union. I know. It's record-breaking. He's going to be one of the oldest presidents to ever do it.
Starting point is 00:31:29 But what's interesting to me about this is on the counter side. So everybody's waiting to see what Trump will do. And people are saying don't count out Trump, but he's probably the only Republican that Biden would be able to beat at this point. The interesting thing about this is people are talking about what will evangelicals do. Now, when people write about evangelicals... This is is a tease you give me more than a tease goodness gracious well that's that's what i'll leave it on all right the evangelicals what will they do all right we'll talk about that next it's the breakfast club good morning the breakfast club your mornings will never be the same. Your company has goals this year.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Find the right people to help you achieve them with ZipRecruiter, where four out of five employees get a quality candidate within the first day. Try it free at ZipRecruiter.com slash breakfast. ZipRecruiter.com slash breakfast. B-R-E-A-K-F-A-S-T. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:32:28 We got our guest hosts Tiffany Cross and Angela Rye joining us this morning. Hey. Let's get in some front page news. And Eli Manning will be checking in a little bit. Nobody cares bro. Of course he's the ex-quarterback of the New York Giants. Nobody cares about Eli Manning. In this, in this. Two-time Super Bowl champion.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Yes, he'll be checking in a little bit. Nobody cares bro. Everybody cares. Cowboy's got a black quarterback. We-time Super Bowl champion. Yes, he'll be checking in a little bit. Nobody cares, bro. Everybody cares. Cowboy's got a black quarterback. We don't care. Ooh! I would have cared if it was about the Seahawks. I don't care.
Starting point is 00:32:51 They'll follow football. All right, well, let's get into some football. I just told you she don't care. I got to tell everybody where the game is. As the Jaguars take it on the Chiefs tomorrow at 4.30, my Giants will bust the Eagles' ass tomorrow at 8.15. The Bengals take on the Bills, and your Cowgirls will be taking on the 49ers Sunday at 6.30.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Don't misgender people. What? Oh, that's good for you. Why are you misgendering people? That's good, Leonard. Okay. You follow that. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:33:15 All right. Miss Tiffany Crosscast. Continue. All right. I'm going to get into it. So I told you before the break that Biden is rumored to announce his re-election plans after February 7th. Now, before we get into do we think Biden should run again?
Starting point is 00:33:26 On the flip side, there's the Republican candidate, Trump. People are saying, don't count him out, but he might be the only candidate that Biden can beat. Here's the thing. Evangelicals largely support him. When we say that, though, the white is often silent. Because I think a lot of us grew up Southern Baptist, and a lot of black folks consider themselves evangelicals. But in the press, it's exactly, exactly. So the interesting thing about the evangelicals is only 30% or so actually go to church.
Starting point is 00:33:53 So I'm confused about how you call yourself evangelicals. And a lot of the beliefs and policies they support are not very Christlike, which leads me to a church actually doing something right. Angela and I were talking about during the break. In England, the Church of England is actually investing $100 million into a reparations fund, essentially, because they heavily invested in a company that transported slaves. Now, as you know, N.V., Angela, Charlemagne, and I were in Ghana over the holidays. And I'm going to tell you all.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Did you go to the strip club with them? No, I did not. Oh, I know. But happy to talk about strip clubs, for sure. It is Fre going to tell you all. Did you go to the strip club with him? No, I did not. Oh, I'm sorry. But happy to talk about strip clubs for sure. It is Freaky Friday after all. But looking at how that the brutality of the way white people beat the humanity out of us and beat this Christianity into a people that did not know that religion and how they like they it was like perverted how they did it they actually had a church on top of
Starting point is 00:34:49 a dungeon yeah where people were essentially left to die we were on that tour together it was so heavy I think all of us probably shed tears so I coming back to this country and hearing even the term evangelical and seeing some of these people purport to be Christ like and purport to be loving while upholding white supremacy i was just kind of disgusting to experience uh on the heels of that even the democracy itself you know it's like this wasn't worshiping god but people down in the dungeons uh being tortured and died literally saying church of england is doing a hundred a hundred million dollar fund we of course talked about the reparations plan that was presented in san Francisco yesterday.
Starting point is 00:35:25 I mean, there are moves getting made across the globe. And I think that that's something that we should be looking forward to. Like, is there really going to be something that creates some type of equity after everything that our people have experienced in this country and throughout the world? Every slave ship didn't come to America. Right. And that's the thing that we've got to remember so this is i think this is a big deal the unique thing though about this that america like the slave trade enriched the uk but they they shipped their enslaved off america has a unique
Starting point is 00:35:56 uh story of building this country and you know the the rape of black women and how that upheld this country as a superpower in the uk black black people can't really say, well, we built this country. They just enriched it. And so there is this belief that, you know, well, maybe black Americans just don't try as hard among some other black people in the diaspora. And it's like they don't understand living in and under a system of white supremacy that has been crushing to us economically, spiritually, mentally, morally, even when it comes to justice and politics and policy-wise. The beautiful thing about it
Starting point is 00:36:32 is having these conversations, open conversations with Ghana. I really felt like in Ghana, I don't know if y'all felt this way, but I felt like people were like, what y'all doing over there? Come home. You know? They made it so easy for citizenship. We're talking about this one. In Ghana, I thought you meant back here people are like come back why you go there got it right
Starting point is 00:36:51 they were like come here and if you think about it if this hundred million dollars i think if you can prove your ancestry connects to ghana that these funds america too it should be we'll give you three hundred thousand dollars to come over here and build and set up a land and build that democracy instead of upholding the white ghetto trash we have here on Capitol Hill. Don't y'all think it's ambitious of Biden to be announcing his future
Starting point is 00:37:16 plans? I was going to ask you, do you think he should be tested before he's able to announce that he should be able to run? Tested? What do you mean tested? Dementia. I don't understand. I don't think so. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Why, I mean, are you suggesting that he, have you seen something that suggests that he has dementia? Yes. I saw him talking to a ghost. Yeah, he was talking to a ghost. He forgets a lot. There's times where he looks confused, doesn't know where he's walking. Did you see him in the church the other day?
Starting point is 00:37:41 They write things on his hand and on napkins so he knows. Well, that was a black church. Yeah, I write stuff on napkins. But he writes things on napkins like, leave after this. Look left. The man was singing happy birthday to somebody and forgot the person's name. That's normal, too. Yes, it is.
Starting point is 00:37:55 It's very normal. I think that happens. Let me say this about the leave after. That's a staffer passing him a note. And I'll tell you this for a fact. Like, Capitol Capitol Hill we have to do all kinds of things to our boss like write in big letters to our boss
Starting point is 00:38:09 time to go you gotta go vote they sound very basic to people that run every part every aspect of their lives you getting baptized on fire with this right now but he spoke to a ghost he spoke to a person that wasn't there and when they gave him the directions when he was leaving it said up up left down so let's start okay well then let me ask you this.
Starting point is 00:38:25 Would you rather have... Let me ask this. Would you all rather have Biden with dementia or Trump with all of his issues? They two wings on the same bird. That's how I feel. Well, if the bird is America, sure. And I don't know why...
Starting point is 00:38:38 Both presidents. And I don't know why y'all sleeping on Trump like Trump can't win because y'all know that Republicans are going to get behind whoever is the candidate. I don't think that any of us are sleeping on Trump like Trump can't win because y'all know that Republicans going to get behind whoever is the candidate. I don't think that any of us are sleeping on anybody. I think the reality of it is we engage a lot in saying, oh, it's just as bad.
Starting point is 00:38:54 People did this to Hillary Clinton when she was running in 2016. It was, oh, you know, the lesser of two evils. Could y'all be honest for a second? Y'all don't want Biden to run again.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Y'all would much rather have somebody. Who would you like to see run? I don't know, but I know y'all don't want Biden to run again. Y'all would much rather have somebody. Who would you like to see run? I don't know. But I know y'all don't want Biden. I really want to see what the slate is. I don't know what we're talking about. We keep having this imaginary conversation.
Starting point is 00:39:13 You want to see it. You want to see other options. Here's the thing. Envy, you're talking about you want to see him tested. What's his name? Should have had a mental evaluation before he was President Trump. Right? Like, that's the kind of testing that should be done. We
Starting point is 00:39:25 have to go through a character and fitness test to be lawyers. And they're running. They're literally the highest office in the land. No testing. So yeah, there should be testing. And the only reason I say that is if he doesn't understand what's going on and he's asking so many questions who is running this damn country then?
Starting point is 00:39:41 There's a whole staff. There's a whole cabinet of people. There's a vice president. I know it's not a monarchy. There are plenty of people who are in decision-making. And I don't think it's fair to say he's not aware of what's going on. I'm sure he has his moments. My dad is 80 years old. But he's the president.
Starting point is 00:39:56 He does know what's going on at all times. I don't believe that. That man didn't know that woman's name when he was singing Happy Birthday. He talked to a ghost, man. You know what? Open the phone line. Let's talk to the people. That's right.
Starting point is 00:40:09 800-585-1051. Let's talk about President Biden. Do you think he should run again? I think it's a little ambitious. When you're that age, you should enjoy the moment. 2024 is a long time. But you ain't putting up no other candidate. You ain't got no roster. I did. Ron Ron. Ron Ron who? The Sanchez.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Oh, you want Ron DeSantis to win? He wants to get jumped today. 800-585-1051. It's a Friday. Let's talk about President Biden. Do you think he should run again? Do you think he should be tested for dementia? Do you think he has dementia? Let's talk about it. Why are we talking about that? That should not be the caller. This sounds like a
Starting point is 00:40:41 conservative Fox News outlet segment. It's just a simple question. Do you think he should run again? All right, let's talk about it. That question's fair. I don't want to get jumped in here. I want to know who their candidate is. That's a good question.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Like, if you don't want him to run, who are you putting up? Yeah, for sure. Put up or shut up? It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. It's topic time. Biggest phone, baby. it's topic time call 800-585-1051 to join into the discussion with the breakfast club let's talk about it morning everybody it's dj envy charlamagne the guy we are the breakfast club we
Starting point is 00:41:19 have our special uh guest host with us this morning miss Miss Angela Rye and Tiffany Cross. Welcome. Thank you. Two of the machetes. They're about to jump Charlemagne in a second. Now, we were talking. You know they got a gang. We do not have a gang. They got a gang called the Machetes. They got a gang.
Starting point is 00:41:35 It's not a gang. They're going to get a Rico. They're going to get a Rico. Cut it out. With that defamatory mess. It's a sisterhood. Envy is a sisterhood. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Yeah. So, we're talking President Joe Biden. And we're asking people, should he run again? Because Tiffany just told us that he is going to announce he's running again at the State of the Union, right? After State of the Union on February 7th. That's the political rumor mill. And we're asking 800-585-1051, should he run again? Let's start in the room.
Starting point is 00:41:59 Ms. Tiffany Croft. I would say yes, because I don't know who else could run in his place at this point. Don't you think that's bad though? the fact it's 2024 and the Democrats have no bitch because you're not saying yes because you like them you're saying because well we ain't got nobody else in fairness Joe Biden did get a lot done during the course of his administration
Starting point is 00:42:17 what did he get done? tell us I mean the COVID funding I think that helped save people and keep people employed I think that's a huge deal. I think infrastructure, BIF, the bipartisan
Starting point is 00:42:31 BIF, the bid from Simpsons? Shut up, man. What's wrong with you? That's a pretty important piece of legislation. It's important to remember that Biden is not... He know, he's the president of the United States.
Starting point is 00:42:47 So there are policies that are the local government is responsible for, the state government responsible for, and the federal government is responsible for. So I think a lot of times people don't know the difference between the three. From a federal perspective, I think he's done a lot for the people. And we have to inform people what that is instead of adopting Fox News talking points saying that he's old and has dementia. He is old. I don't know about the dementia part but he is old.
Starting point is 00:43:10 I definitely shouldn't play with dementia. Really, my grandmother passed from that so I know what that looks like. I don't see that. I do see him forgetting sometimes. I forget too. You taking ginkgo right now. It is what it is. Everybody, every human does but i may not even remember y'all talked about the bank correct how about yesterday but i will say you
Starting point is 00:43:30 know i think it's really important that the administration does a better job communicating their wins it like there's been a lot of talk about the child tax credit there's not been a lot of talk about many of the other things there's a lot of work still to be done on voting rights on voter suppression-related issues in states, sure, but we know that that's going to impact them federally when it is time to announce and run in 2024. The one thing that I'm very proud of,
Starting point is 00:43:54 especially this week, is the number of black judges that this administration has appointed because my girl Kendra Davis-Briggs was just sworn in this week after being stuck in the Senate's process for forever. So that's one of the things that means a lot. He's appointed more black judges than even Barack Obama did.
Starting point is 00:44:11 And I think that's something that's worth it. Trump appointed nearly 300 judges to the federal bench, mostly white men, very few females. And most of these people were underqualified. And these are lifetime appointments and we don't prioritize honestly the judicial branch the same way Republicans do so I think that matters I think one of the biggest problems
Starting point is 00:44:34 is that the things that they campaign on those are the things that people go out there and vote for right and none of those things get accomplished so those things you're talking about yes I'm sure he probably has done a whole lot of other things but those aren't the things that they put up on the marquee when they were running. George Floyd Policing Act, John Lewis
Starting point is 00:44:50 Voting Rights Act. No, but he didn't actually campaign on George Floyd police. Oh, yes, they did. No. Kamala helped to co-author that bill in the Senate. They never, I remember pushing the Biden campaign on this. They would not sign off on George Floyd. He was
Starting point is 00:45:04 very, very timid around that. On police reform, yes. On criminal justice reform, yes. But he would not sign off on George Floyd. I will say the other thing is we wrote a letter, an open letter to Joe Biden demanding three things when he was running. I know. It was a black woman Supreme Court justice. I give you Katonji Brown Jackson.
Starting point is 00:45:21 We demanded a black woman vice president, Kamala Harris. And we also demanded a black woman vice president, Kamala Harris, and we also demanded a black agenda. The challenge we have is we've yet to present a cohesive black agenda. I think with the work of Black Futures Lab and what's been done with Black Citizens Project, now that Back to the Future Fund will do a black agenda, hopefully all orgs, all of us can sign on to that
Starting point is 00:45:41 and challenge the administration. I think all of that stuff is great, but a lot of it sounds like symbolism. I disagree. I disagree. a lot of it sounds like symbolism I disagree I disagree to me it sounds like and it looks like he has early signs of dementia right that's just to me and I'm going to tell you why I feel that way I'm going to tell you why I feel that way
Starting point is 00:45:55 I'm going to tell you why I feel that way if you look at him some of the things that he says he doesn't speak correctly he forgets what he's saying all the time he looks confused when he's walking around he doesn't like Charlamagne jokes that he was talking to a ghost but He looks confused when he's walking around. He doesn't like... Charlamagne jokes that he was talking to a ghost, but he really was. Like, he was really shaking nobody's hand.
Starting point is 00:46:09 How do you know he really talked to a ghost? Did you talk to the ghost? Did the ghost tell you he was there with his wife? I didn't talk to the ghost. But my fear is... You said a family member had dementia. My mother-in-law died last year from dementia. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:19 So, we helped her when she had dementia. Like, we raised and we did everything that we're supposed to do. But you know that it goes from slow to right away. It can turn immediately. And my whole fear is if it does turn immediately, do we want him being the face of America and being out there and being confused and doing all this other stuff? You know what I mean? And I just want to say, if it's not, that's great. But I just think that we should make sure that we understand and know if he has it or doesn't.
Starting point is 00:46:45 I don't even know about the dementia piece. I just know that I cannot look, you know, black people in the eyes again in 2024 and say that this person is the person that you should vote for. Because there's a lot of things that were promised to black people in 2020 that black people haven't seen. I don't know. That's why I say a lot of times I'm going to keep things to myself and let people make their own decisions. Because we always go out here, put ourselves on the line for these people, say to vote for these people, and they don't do the things that they promise us that they're going to vote for. Can I hear somebody you want to see run instead of Biden? No, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:13 Hunter, I want to see Hunter. I want to see city boy Hunter. I need to fact check you real quick, though. He does have to get a physical every year, and the physical results are released. If he had dementia, they would have to tell us. I don't care about none of that stuff. I care about the legislation that they promised us. That's why I said I'm not checking him.
Starting point is 00:47:30 I do care about that because if he does have dementia early signs, that's a problem. If he doesn't, then I'm good. But I just want to make sure he's tested and that's understood. He has to do an annual physical. You said he does have dementia? I said he does not have dementia. He has to do an annual physical. But do they check that in an annual physical?
Starting point is 00:47:47 They don't check if I have dementia in an annual physical. Absolutely. They're going to check his motor functions and all of that to the point. I know them motor functions slow. Yo, shut up. He definitely need WD-40. Yo, shut up. You got to warm that car up before you drop it in the morning.
Starting point is 00:47:59 This is so disrespectful for no reason. Hi, good morning. Jackie, Jackie, Jackie. What's your thoughts, Jackie? I think that my concern would be his age. But with respect to anything you do, age can't discount you. It can't discredit you. Give me a better alternative, right?
Starting point is 00:48:17 We like to throw our weight behind people that don't matter. Everyone has their points of view. People would like independence to run and win. But when's the last time that successfully happened? It hasn't. That's true. I agree with you, Jackie, but I'll tell you something, man. We are in a sad place in this country when there's no alternative.
Starting point is 00:48:35 When the best we got is an 80-something year old man and people are saying... Age doesn't mean anything. We keep saying age is bad. Age is not bad. No, it's not the age thing. It's just the... It's like how you're... I understand that. I think, you know what I will say
Starting point is 00:48:48 to give you a little bit of a silver lining. We were talking about him a little bit yesterday. The newly elected governor in Maryland, Wes Moore, I think very soon, not quite for 2024, but very soon he's going to be a good alternative. Wes Moore is solid. Well, we have a democracy by the time... But not just ambitious, he's solid.
Starting point is 00:49:04 He's good. Well, we have a democracy by the time well we have a democracy by the time all right well that honestly that is a question and let me let me just say charlemagne too i don't know that it's he's our best option the political infrastructure is rooted in such white supremacy that this is the option they deliver i mean you recall that the first people to choose the president was new hampshire and iowa these are two states with a population that is less than four percent black it is not in not consistent with the rising majority of America. And we have to get used to, as black and brown folks in this country, oftentimes we don't have the benefit or the luxury of voting our passion or our policy points.
Starting point is 00:49:34 We have to wait and see what the white folks are going to do to make sure we don't waste our vote because it's all too important. And now that they're trying to change that, that's how Carolina might be. South Carolina. Yeah, your home state. Yeah. So it may change. Well, let's take some more calls. 800-585-1051.
Starting point is 00:49:49 Should Joe Biden run again? That's the question. It's the Breakfast Club. Come on. Hey, guys, I'm Kate Max. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like,
Starting point is 00:51:03 this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There's 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I trade my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Starting point is 00:52:02 Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself, and leaning into her dreams. You're trying your best and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.

Hi, I'm Dani Shapiro, host of the hit podcast, Family Secrets. How would you feel if when you met your biological father for the first time, he didn't even say hello? And how
Starting point is 00:54:03 would you feel if your doctor advised you to keep your life-altering medical procedure a secret from everyone? And what if your past itself was a secret and the time had suddenly come to share that past with your child? These are just a few of the powerful and profound questions we'll be asking on our 11th season of Family Secrets. Some of you have been with us since season one, and others are just tuning in. Starting point is 00:54:50 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Call me. And your opinion to the Breakfast Club top. Come on. 800-585-1051. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlemagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We're here with our guest hosts, Miss Angela Rye and Tiffany Cross. And we're taking your calls. We're asking, should Joe Biden run again as president?
Starting point is 00:55:20 Let's go to the phone lines. Hello, who's this? It's Adelaidea. Adelaidea. Goodelaidea, good morning. Boy, that's a name. You got a name on you. Good morning, Adelaidea. Cuban, baby. Very pretty.
Starting point is 00:55:33 So what do you think, mama? Adelaidea, you forgetting like Joe Biden right now. You forgot the question? Yeah, we hear you. What do you think? Okay, so y'all wanted to talk about the Biden? Yeah, we would like to. Not the Biden. Hold on, Joe.
Starting point is 00:55:47 Which one? Stop it, man. All right, I got something to say about Biden. I think Biden is a creep. You know, he ain't really doing s*** for us. And he, with this Biden $15,000, you still have to have the credit to get that loan. So he ain't really doing s*** for us. And for Donald Trump, I'd rather
Starting point is 00:56:08 have Donald Trump because he was very blunt. He was very up front. He didn't care what he said on TV. And that's TV. Adeladia, no, no, no. Yeah, she's a Trump supporter. She just said she did. Do you live in Long Island?
Starting point is 00:56:22 There's George Santos, your congressman? No, I live in Fort Myers. Florida, baby. Florida, Cuba, Adelaide. Gotcha. Well, thank you, Mama. The craziest people in America come from the Bronx and all of Florida. Just want to throw that out there.
Starting point is 00:56:38 Hello, who's this? I was convinced you live in George Santos. Hi, my name's Ariel. How are you? Ariel, good morning. We're talking about Joe Biden. What are your thoughts? I don't think he should run again. And though I don't know who's running in his replacement, I'm 31 and I would like to see someone younger in there. I'm tired of the old farts in there. We need people who are more relatable, especially relatable to people of color. I don't think those established politicians like Biden can be moved as much as y'all feel like they can. I don't think
Starting point is 00:57:12 they can be moved at all. They're stuck in the woods. Not much. I agree with that. Hello, who's this? Noel speaking. Noel, good morning. We're talking Joe Biden. Do you think he should run again? No way. Not at all. Why? I mean, I think everybody can see it, all that confidence.
Starting point is 00:57:28 You know, he's not even aware of what's going on. Just like you guys said, you know, the people are watching. What's going on? What do you think he's not aware of? He's in going. He speaks. Charlamagne said it, you know.
Starting point is 00:57:43 Everybody knows what's going on with him. It's a joke. I mean, to even really entertain the idea, you know, it makes no sense at all. I mean, I could understand, you know, you guys are supporters, but. We're supporters of democracy. I mean, and we're supporters of our survival. We're supporters of not seeing another January 6th. Who do you think should run?
Starting point is 00:58:03 He's gone. Oh, sorry. Hello, who's this? My name is V. Hey, V, good morning. We're talking Joe Biden. We're asking, do you think he should run again?
Starting point is 00:58:13 Sorry, J&B. My name is V. V is like Bumblebee, E-A. Oh, B. I'm sorry, B. All right. I apologize. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:58:20 Happy Friday. It's okay. Happy Friday to y'all. Do you think Biden should run again? Bumblebee? I think that for the mental health of himself and the people in the United States, I think it's correct he doesn't. He seems to be very forgetful and that causes a lot of stress and anxiety as he is the one that represents the nation to the world. I think we need him to be 100
Starting point is 00:58:46 there when making life or death decisions okay b let me ask you if you if you're still there if he did run again would you vote for him oh depends depends who runs i mean the alternative is the republican candidate so would you rather have b Biden or would you rather have the Republican candidate? That could be Trump, that could be DeSantis or someone of that ilk. Okay. She got the point. It's a slam dunk. It is not a slam dunk.
Starting point is 00:59:14 Nobody said that. The fact that she is considering voting for a DeSantis over Biden is a problem. I think that's the Democrats' fault because the Democrats haven't done a good enough job of A, telling people what they are doing
Starting point is 00:59:27 for regular everyday people and B, they're just a trash ass party. So being that they're a trash ass party and people feel like they're not doing nothing for them,
Starting point is 00:59:35 they are looking and seeking other options. All right. Shout out to our good friend Jamie Harrison from South Carolina that is the chair of the Democratic
Starting point is 00:59:42 National Committee right now. What do I mean? What is Jamie doing? Jamie's doing a lot. Jamie invested a lot of money in voting. Jamie has a great documentary called In the Bubble
Starting point is 00:59:48 that I'm executive producer to, by the way. Yeah, while you trash him. But I also want to say we have to have another talking point other than who else should run.
Starting point is 00:59:55 I think that's fair. You've got to give people an alternative. You can't have an imaginary... Yeah. Because all you're telling the American people
Starting point is 01:00:01 is take it or leave it. No, no, no. You ain't going to never get me to come out and vote just by saying take it or leave it. That's not what I'm saying. I think that we have to be grounded in reality. The reality is this is who they're putting up.
Starting point is 01:00:10 It's either likely Trump or DeSantis. If the incumbent runs traditionally, we support the incumbent. They can be primary. If we're primarying him, who's running against him? We have to have somebody. All right. Sorry. All right.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Now, when we come back, of course, we have rumors on the way in a little bit. We're going to be talking about Carisha and Trina. Now we're going to talk about some real heavy hitting topics. But when we come back,
Starting point is 01:00:30 we're going to talk about the things that matter. But when we come back, we got a special guest checking in, Eli Manning. Man, I want to talk to Eli. Yes, Eli Manning is going to be checking in
Starting point is 01:00:37 to talk to Eli Manning. This week, and he's talking to talk about the damn Giants and how the Giants are going to bust the Eagles when we come back. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:00:45 Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlemagne the guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We got our guest host joining us today, Tiffany Cross and Miss Angela Rye. And we got a special guest on the phone lines right now. Two-time Super Bowl champion, ex-New York Giant quarterback, ladies and gentlemen, Eli Manning. Hey, how you doing? You know me.
Starting point is 01:01:07 We've done podcasts. You know I'm a Giants fan. And then you know my co-host, and you know he's a Cowgirl fan. Don't misgender my team. Go Cowboys! No, no, no. So what I wanted to discuss with you is some quick football. Of course, the Giants are playing this Saturday.
Starting point is 01:01:28 What do you think the Giants need to do to win this game on Saturday? You know, I think they just need to play the way they've been playing the last few weeks, and that's protecting the football, running the ball well. Daniel's been playing great, controlled passing game, and, you know, just step up in the critical moments of the game. And so, you know, I think that the defense got a big stop last week in a two-minute drill. So, you know, I think for the Giants, they want to get it to the fourth quarter,
Starting point is 01:01:54 keep it a close game, and find a way to win it in the fourth quarter. You know, I wanted to ask you too, Eli, man. How many middle fingers are you expecting this week to receive in Philadelphia? Philadelphia's got to be the worst. Yeah, I don't know what the over-under is. I'm a double bird. I'm trying to figure out what that is. I don't know if it's like 1,000, if it's 500.
Starting point is 01:02:13 I don't know. It'll be interesting. You once said you'd never go to Philly again because of how they treated you. I know. I know. I thought I never would. And so it's going to be interesting. I'm bringing my 11-year-old daughter with me.
Starting point is 01:02:27 She's going to learn a little new vocabulary, I feel. And I just think, hey, I've already told her, whatever you hear or see in Philadelphia stays in Philadelphia. You don't bring that home. You don't bring that to school. You don't even tell mom about it. You just kind of listen. You'll hear some things.
Starting point is 01:02:43 And you've got to forget about it once we leave. I've got to ask you some predictions before you get off the phone. Jaguars-Chiefs, who do you think got that one? I think everybody's probably going to take the Chiefs just because of Patrick Mahomes and their record and what they've been able to do. The Jaguars, it's like one of those teams you don't want to let them linger too long. You saw what they did last week. You saw what they did versus the Cowboys late in the year. If you kind of keep them around, all of a sudden they've got this ability to make these comebacks and stay in the game.
Starting point is 01:03:16 So I think the Chiefs, you know, obviously they want to go out and score every time and you want to get a big lead. But I think it's important to try to jump and get a lead on these guys because they have that ability just to to rally towards the end bangles bills who do you got you know this this is a fun one um i think this is you know might be the the best game of the weekend just because both these teams are so good both quarterbacks are playing at such a high level it's It's tough. My AFC team earlier in the year, I said the Bills are the team to beat, and I still feel that way. I think they just find ways to win.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Josh Allen can look unbelievable at times and unstoppable. Every once in a while he goes to a few series where he gets a little reckless, but he's able to dial it back in, so I still like the Bills. Cowboys and 49ers. Who do you have? Don't be disrespectful, Eli. Not disrespectful. I mean, obviously Dak played outstanding last week, and that was fun.
Starting point is 01:04:20 That was fun to see and see him. I was happy for him to win that playoff game and to play so well. A lot of pressure was on him. But, you know, there's going to be a different type of pressure on him this week because it's the 49ers defense that's going to be the ones giving pressure on him. It's not an internal pressure. It's not a mental pressure. It's a physical pass rush pressure that's going to be on him. I just think the 49ers defense is too good.
Starting point is 01:04:43 And their offense. They've got too many playmakers, and guys are playing hungry, and it's scary right now. I think they're playing the best football, maybe any team in the NFL right now. And, of course, are you saying that they're going to beat us? Yes, that's what I'm saying. You're saying the Cowboys are going to lose this weekend. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:05:01 Okay. Yes, I just wanted you to kind of read the language and just see if you That's what I'm saying. Okay. Yeah, you know, I just wanted you to kind of read the language and just see if you could comprehend what I was saying and kind of get the conclusion yourself. You've been wrong before. And lastly, of course,
Starting point is 01:05:16 the Giants. What do you think the score is going to be on that game this weekend? I think it's going to be a tight game and I think it's going to be 24-21
Starting point is 01:05:25 alright I'm with you Eli I got one more question I enjoy the Manningcast TV program Eli I really do with you and your brother Peyton and this is just a random football question because you are quarterback I think you should be a first ballot
Starting point is 01:05:38 hall of famer so you understand this I just want to know what is it about football that's keeping Tom Brady around is football really that fun to play to be is it about football that's keeping Tom Brady around? Is football really that fun to play, to be around as long as he's been around? He's 46 next year. You know, I think it's just one of those things. You've been doing it so long, it's just become part of your routine.
Starting point is 01:05:59 And I think that could be a hard thing to say. Well, I'm going to stop doing these workouts, and I'm going to stop just preparing right now for this upcoming season it's just become your life and it can be scary to give that up it's like well what am I going to do what am I going to do to fulfill that competitiveness that I have it's not just games
Starting point is 01:06:17 it's practice it's the preparation it's the off season just always working towards something and I think you've got to have a game plan to attack that and fulfill that. And so until he kind of knows what that is, I think you don't want to give up what he knows makes him happy. All right. Basically, you just said Tom Brady don't have a life outside of football.
Starting point is 01:06:42 Well, there you have it. Two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning. We appreciate you for joining us. And let's go Big Blue. Let's go Giants. Let's go Big Blue. Let's do it. All right.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Thank you, Eli, for checking in. When we come back, we got the rumor report. We got to talk. Carisha. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy.
Starting point is 01:06:58 I swear we just played Lil Uzi 20 minutes ago. That wasn't 20 minutes. It was like last hour. Who's that? Mbaku? Is that Mbaku on the song? Who's that embacle is that embacle on the song what's wrong with you i'm telling you he's been wrong and off since yesterday that would be hard well our guest host today miss angela ryan tiffany cross are joining us and let's get to the rumors
Starting point is 01:07:22 let's talk to the rumors. Let's talk Carisha. Rumor has it. Rumor has it. Call out her name or you gossiping or you chatty patting. I'm gossiping. This is the rumor report. I mean, I guess we on The Breakfast Club. This is where the tea spills, right? Yes.
Starting point is 01:07:34 On The Breakfast Club. All right. A lot to talk about. A lot to digest. Now, Carisha. Let's direct the show. I watched this interview in real time yesterday. I bet you did.
Starting point is 01:07:41 I watched it live for me. I was one of the 50,000 people watching this live. You live you hear me now carisha interviewed trina on carisha please podcast and there's so much to talk about where you want to start i enjoyed it i mean where do you i mean it's a lot there what are you thinking to start well let's start with let's start with the p everybody talking about the p i wasn't gonna talk about the p okay all right let's start with uh trina uh carisha talking to trina about allegedly dating Missy Elliott. Is it true that you dated Missy Elliott? Oh, Missy? I love Missy, but no, I should have.
Starting point is 01:08:09 She's so bossed up with the bag. Like, what? But no, I did. I hit her a lot. People always ask me, but I didn't. I really never dated Missy. Like, Missy is just, like, a great person. She was a big inspiration to me.
Starting point is 01:08:20 That was the first person I really learned a lot of shit from, for real. And I mean, like, what Missy taught me was more so about, like, making sure all your shit was together. Making sure your money was good. Like, she's a different kind of person when it comes to, like, what she knows in the industry. It just, I grew a lot just from that. Always be in a room with somebody that got more than you. Yes. That's how you excel.
Starting point is 01:08:41 That's how you learn. That's how you stay into this game. If you're the biggest person in the room, you got to get in another room. Because that means you have excelled where you are at right now. And you know how I know Trina was being honest with that answer? Because there were about 17 shots in by the time she answered that question. I was highly impressed by the amount of alcohol both of them were able to consume and still have a functional conversation. Now she also talks about her relationship with Lil Wayne in French Montana.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Smoke time. Lil Wayne or French montana little wayne why totally two different people two different artists two different totals whatever i was engaged to wayne in the whole relationship with wayne that's a whole different phase like me and french we were friends so that's a whole different situation and wayne and I had a total different relationship. Totally different. Excellent, Wayne. Who the five-star is? We had just a different relationship.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Like, Wayne is just a great person. Like, he's just a real, real great person. We had no issues. He wasn't, it wasn't an old, he's a cheat. It was never nothing like that. We was just young. I was young. He was younger.
Starting point is 01:09:43 And it was just one of the things, like, that was just a lot. It was legendary. It was a lot, though. It was just young i was young he was younger and it was just one of the things like that was just a lot legendary it was a lot though tiffany cross little wayne in french montana uh what's option c just like biden we all know where's my slate but you know i want to talk about what she said about missy because i do think that's a beautiful thing um when women come together and support each other you know and it would have been easy for missy to feel like you know we're both uh you know hip-hop artists in the music industry and you're my competitor but instead she understood there was strength that's right um in having a sisterhood and my advice to women is always share information, share opportunities, help uplift each other, support each other. Because when you look to your left and your right, you want to make sure that everybody around you is doing something dope. And then the dopest position, because you never know when you need that person to hire you for something or to catch you from a fall.
Starting point is 01:10:40 So I really like the thing about her and Missy. And it's sad that it's always like, oh, they close where they dating. You know, it's like, no, they were just a sisterhood like the machetes, which is not a gang, by the way. All right. Now they also talk about her having children and why she hasn't had a baby as yet. Why don't you have kids? Did you never not want kids to have kids? So you never felt like a man would like work the other kids?
Starting point is 01:11:01 Well, after three miscarriagesriages i would have had three kids that was a lot for me yeah i mean the first one was i don't think i really understood it too much i was younger younger but then once i got older and that was the next one i was just like okay what does that mean then it just became a point to like third miscarriage i was like okay yeah and it was like what's the problem like and then when my mom got sick, honestly, I just went into this phase of, I don't even want to have a kid and my mom is not here. How do I raise a kid without my mom?
Starting point is 01:11:33 That's not the happiest thing for me, honestly. Even to this day, so I'm thinking about maybe I got like two years left to have a kid maybe, in my frame to me, I feel like I'll give myself two years to have a kid. When women have those conversations, now I feel like I'm eavesdropping. That's when I feel like it's too much information.
Starting point is 01:11:47 I don't want to, I don't personally need to know that. I respect the conversation, but it's like, that's your business. I love that she had that conversation. I think especially as someone who, I froze my eggs really late.
Starting point is 01:11:58 And now in this stage of my life, really trying to go through the process of getting my body right so that I can have children. I really respect that and when you think about all of the things that black women in particular go through from a maternal health standpoint another shout out to kamala and uh kamala harris for everything she did on black maternal health we need to be having these conversations and making them more pedestrian and accessible so people are safe in the birthing process yeah and i think what Charlamagne said, sometimes, you know,
Starting point is 01:12:27 brothers, we got to mind our business. That's right. There's reasons that we just don't know and it's none of our business. I remember I asked somebody that one time on the air and I felt so bad asking that. No, we didn't play it. We didn't play it.
Starting point is 01:12:36 We erased it. It was behind the scenes. Yeah. It was behind the scenes and we didn't air it. Yeah, thank God. You sounded stupid. I did. Wow.
Starting point is 01:12:42 I did. No, it was a long time ago. It was stupid. It was over a it was a long time ago it was stupid it was over it was raw but yeah it was stupid but anyway
Starting point is 01:12:48 that is your rumor report and the person said why you ain't having kids why you don't have kids can you have them out your butt can you have them out your butt
Starting point is 01:12:57 oh lord we'll tell you who was behind the scene we'll tell you who was behind the scene it's not funny man no that was funny it was
Starting point is 01:13:04 who you giving your donkey to man It's not funny, man. No, that was funny. It was. Who are you giving your donkey to? Speaking of butts. Man, four after. What? Donkey. Butt. Okay. Man, shut up.
Starting point is 01:13:09 Four after the hour. We need Brian Walsh to come to the front of the congregation. We'd like to have a word with him, please. All right. We'll get to that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:13:18 Your mornings will never be the same. Looking to turn a small bet into a big payday? Starting point is 01:13:38 Hey, don't hear the date. Yeah, you dumbass. You get dunked here today. Yeah, you dumbass. You get donkey every day. Yeah, you got donkey every day. You. Oh, man. This place is crazy. You want to get up today, huh?
Starting point is 01:13:52 I'm going to fatten all that shit around your eyes. They want this man to throw them blows, man. They waiting for Charlamagne to tap these gloves. Let's go. They had to make a judgment of who was going to be on the donkey of the day. They chose you. This is a breakfast club, bitches. Who's donkey of the day. They chose you. This is a breakfast club, bitches.
Starting point is 01:14:06 Who's donkey of the day today? Well, donkey of the day for Friday, January 20th goes to a 47-year-old Massachusetts man named Brian Walsh. Now, if you don't know who Brian Walsh is, he's the husband of a Massachusetts woman who disappeared around New Year's Day. That young lady's name was Anna Walsh. Do you want to know why that young lady disappeared? She disappeared because Brian Walsh killed her.
Starting point is 01:14:26 I still got to say allegedly didn't just kill her allegedly, but dismembered and discarded her. Her remains. Yes, he's accused of assaulting and beating his wife with the intent to murder. And he's charged with moving her body and remains. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. Now, I understand the legal system and every single person uh you know every single person on the planet has this theory uh you know we gotta have due process right everybody deserves due process but sometimes just sometimes we don't need to waste taxpayers dollars with court cases and stuff because every now and then like in a case like this one we don't gotta do all the pomp and circumstance whatever they say brian did he did it okay so you can learn a lot
Starting point is 01:15:05 from a person's internet browser history for example on december 27th brian made an internet search for what's the best state to divorce for a man clearly if his wife saw that she would be upset because it's obvious brian was searching uh for how to get a divorce okay unless of course he was searching for a friend who didn't have wi-Fi. That would be the lie one would tell if their wife ever caught them searching anything about divorcing. But that's not all Brian was searching. The other things Brian was searching
Starting point is 01:15:32 is the reason he's going to be found guilty on all counts of everything he's charged with guaranteed. Well, what else was he searching for, Uncle Sharla? Let's go to CBS Boston for the report, please. Brian Walsh told police he hadn't seen or spoken to his wife, Anna, since the early morning hours of New Year's Day. Investigators now believe that's exactly when he killed her, then used his son's iPad to research online how to get away with it. Early searches around 5 a.m. included how long before a body starts to smell, how to stop a body from decomposing, can you throw away body parts,
Starting point is 01:16:12 can baking soda, mask, or make a body smell good, how long can someone be missing before inheritance. Anna Walsh's body has not been found. Prosecutors say Brian Walsh was seen heaving trash bags into dumpsters that have already been incinerated. The state crime lab detected DNA from both Brian and Ana in those bloody trash bags that were recovered. Police found blood in Brian's car and tracked the husband's errands, buying cleanup supplies and new rugs. I don't claim to be the highest grade of weed in the dispensary, but if there is indeed a human who has been murdered and dismembered and the number one suspect in this murder has a search history
Starting point is 01:16:50 that consists of 10 ways to dispose of a dead body if you really need to by the way when would you not need to don't we always dispose of dead bodies nobody just leaves dead bodies lying around the house do they and how to stop a body from decomposing if the number one suspect in a murder case is looking up all this stuff this stuff i think it's safe to say he's guilty okay not to mention investigators found the couple's dna along with a covid vaccination card for anna and a hacksaw and cutting shears and a hatchet and a trash bag you know that that was disposed of in a dumpster near brian's mother's house this is an open and shut case all right open and shut case the couple's dna was
Starting point is 01:17:25 identified on the slippers and the suit that they found in trash bags they found blood in the basement a damaged knife with blood on it the saddest part about this whole situation is that anna walsh's body has not been found which means that majority of the stuff he searched on google clearly worked so i ask a question shouldn't google uh be held as an accomplice or whoever is creating these pages where people can have this kind of information that is causing people to potentially get away with crimes? Don't you think? No. You don't think so? I mean, that opens up a slippery slope.
Starting point is 01:17:55 You know, like you're getting into dangerous territory there. Similar to the Rico cases, you know, when you start taking people's rap lyrics and it's like I'm searching something. You don't know why I'm searching something. Maybe'm you know as a journalist i search for a lot of things um just to get information things that you search for i mean imagine if somebody could go through your entire search history and then not only hold you accountable for that but hold the search engine itself accountable for that i i think that's a dangerous territory should you be allowed to tell people how to potentially get away with that was tiffany cross speaking by the way should you be allowed to tell people to tell people how to potentially get away with crimes? Should you be allowed to tell people how to potentially get away with crimes?
Starting point is 01:18:29 I see why you say that's dangerous. That's understandable. So maybe we should be looking at just the same thing that happens when someone goes on a mass shooting spree and now the media is much more diligent about reporting about it, how they're reporting about it so it doesn't encourage a copycat.
Starting point is 01:18:45 I hear your point, but I think we do have to be careful about a slippery slope. Word. Well, please give Brian Walsh. Let Remy Ma give Brian Walsh the biggest hee-haw. Hee-haw, hee-haw. You stupid mother f***er. You dumb.
Starting point is 01:19:00 All right. Well, thank you for that donkey of the day. Mm-hmm. All right. Let's do it. Now it's Friday, so you know what that means. It's Freaky, Freaky, Freaky Friday. Yes.
Starting point is 01:19:11 Now, Freaky, Freaky Friday question. Let's talk sex toys. Are we going to do the sex toys? You're not going to do P. Diddy? Which one do you want to do? You want to do P or sex toys? Maybe a combination of both. Because the sex toys, if you do it right, would lead to P because that's what they say squirting is.
Starting point is 01:19:24 No. Either we're going to P or we're going to use sex toys. Which one? right would lead to pee because that's what they say squirting is no either we gonna pee wow or we gonna use sex toys which one first of all concerned first of all
Starting point is 01:19:30 don't you ever look me in the eyes and ask me that question ever again I know Gia out of town alright I know Gia out of town but I told you I'm not playing
Starting point is 01:19:37 which way are we going don't pass it to me just kiss me and spit it in my mouth whoa that was a hell of a time timed out uh what do y'all think we should go i you know sex toys all right now carisha was interviewing trina and they
Starting point is 01:19:56 discussed sex toys and this is where it came from i'm not like the toys i'm not the girl that want to have the sex i'm not i need the real. I'm not grinding on it like a toy. But that shit is dangerous. I'm just saying when you're a woman and you get addicted to that vibrator thing and that little butterfly, that little cute thing. You really almost like not need a man. It makes it hard for a man to please you because the man could never go against that little fast. He can never. That's like two, three seconds.
Starting point is 01:20:24 You're about to have an orgasm. A man can't even move his that little fast. He could never. That's like two, three seconds you're about to have an orgasm. A man can't even move his tongue that fast. And so when they try to, it's like a bunch of wasted time. We need to know how to massage, lick, and suck. Okay. You can stop right there. Don't stick that in my butt. You can stick your finger or your tongue in there.
Starting point is 01:20:39 And that's the end of that. Period. You wanted to get to that point. All Dr. Katrina Laverne Taylor is saying is keep it organic. All right. So we're asking. 800-585-1051. The question is sex toys in the bedroom.
Starting point is 01:20:54 Are you into it? Do you enjoy sex other than the real thing? The real meat? She's just saying keep it organic. She's saying that you can get used to those sex toys and then the real thing don't feel, you know, the same to you. It's like a lot of people are used to processed food. So when they go out to country and they eat real, actual, organic food, they get sick and it don't hit right for them.
Starting point is 01:21:13 All right, we'll talk about it. Because they're used to the processed stuff. We'll talk about it when we come back. We're taking your calls, 800-585-1051. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. It's Freaky Friday. God damn. The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:21:25 Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, goddamn. The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We got our guest host with us joining us today. We have, of course, Miss Angela Rye and Tiffany Cross. And we're asking, well, start it the right way. Yes. It's Friday, so you know what that means.
Starting point is 01:21:40 It's Freaky, Freaky, Freaky Friday. And the Freaky, Freaky, Freaky Friday question is sex toys. All right. And this comes from Dr. Katrina Laverne Taylor, who did an interview with the new Oprah. You know? Let's hear it. Carisha, let's hear it.
Starting point is 01:21:54 I'm not like the toys deal. I'm not the girl that want to have the sex to pick. I'm not. I need the real thing. I'm not grinding on like a toy. But that is dangerous. I'm just saying when you a woman and you get addicted to that vibrator thing and that little butterfly,
Starting point is 01:22:07 that little cute thing, that da da da da da da da, you really almost like not need a man. Yeah. It makes it hard for a man to please you because a man could never go against that little fast. He could never, that's like two, three seconds you're about to have an orgasm. A man can't even move his tongue that fast.
Starting point is 01:22:22 And so when they try to, it's like a bunch of wasted time. We need to know how to massage lick and suck okay it really takes away the pleasure of getting pleased by a man i'm not really into the toy thing the butt don't stick that in my you can stick your finger or your tongue and that's the end of that period so we're asking do you use sex toys is it better than the real thing do you prefer the real thing that's that's what we're going to start with you charl No, let's start with Tiffany and Angela Rye. They are here. They are women.
Starting point is 01:22:49 Does Trina have a point? I can't wait to hit an intellectual elephant with y'all. Y'all explain this. I will say I think Trina has a point. I think the deeper issue is we're getting further disconnected from each other i mean when you think
Starting point is 01:23:06 about um social media and you don't really see people's real selves it's their avatars these heavily filtered photos people are chasing that younger people are not approaching each other in public anymore it's all a dm or a snapchat um and so then the most intimate thing we have between us is to connect spiritually and physically through sex. And that's getting eroded. In fact, younger people are having less sex now because of issues like sex toys and self-pleasure. And there's nothing wrong with that. But I do think particularly for our community, there's something to be said about the intimacy that exists between one man and one woman. There's nothing wrong with satisfying yourself and making sure that you have a good time during sex.
Starting point is 01:23:48 But I am a little concerned about us getting away from it. Damn it, drop on a clue, Mother Tiffany. She turned that into an intellectual take. All right. Miss Rye. Watch this ratchet ass Seattle. She's not going to be able to do it. Go.
Starting point is 01:24:04 Anyway, I'm not going to try. So I'm going to say this. I was afraid of sex toys for a long time because of growing up in the church. Like I started going to Church of God and Christ in high school. They talk about sex toys in the church? No, no, no. They talk about masturbation. And masturbation is a sin.
Starting point is 01:24:20 And I was like, oh, you know, like you learn about that. And you're like, okay. So I was terrified of vibrators. Can I say a product name on here? Yes. Because I know they didn't sponsor. But my friend told me about this vibrator from this company called Tracy's Dog. And I was like, and I was like, OK, I'm gonna see about this.
Starting point is 01:24:42 That thing, you know, it does some things. It's interesting. What's it called? Tracy's Dog. Oh, it's called Tracy's Dog. Tracy's Dog. This comedian did a whole bit about it in his Netflix stand-up special. Is it better than the Rose?
Starting point is 01:24:54 I don't even, I don't know. I don't know. But what I'll tell you is Tracy's Dog is. Man, you got to shut up sometime. When we're talking about connecting intimately with our partner or whomever, you know, it could be, think about it
Starting point is 01:25:07 like a position, like a sex position. You're just adding in an accessory. You're adding in something else. I think it could work. If you're enjoying
Starting point is 01:25:13 it with a man. Or without. Yeah. And for people that are holistic, they got the crystal. They do. They do.
Starting point is 01:25:20 They're called wands. But yes, they have crystal wands. Yeah. Oh, I didn't know that. Well, let's go to the phone. You charge them on the full moon just like you do your other crystal? Yo, shut up.
Starting point is 01:25:28 Hello, who's this? That is true. That is true. This is Tara calling from Detroit. Hey, we're talking sex toys this morning. Thoughts? Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 01:25:39 My thoughts are... Yes. Yes. We know. It's what? It's an amazing idea. It's an amazing thing to do. It's like a lasting impression.
Starting point is 01:25:47 Okay, so you enjoy them a little bit? No, I don't enjoy them a little bit. I love them. Okay. But do you love them more than the real thing? Are you saying you like a combination of both? You like a little organic and GMO on your plate? I like the combination of both.
Starting point is 01:26:01 I can never get rid of the original thing. Okay. Okay. Because what Dr. Katrina was saying is it's dangerous to get addicted to those toys I like the combination of both. I can never get rid of the original thing. Okay. Okay. Because what Dr. Katrina was saying is it's dangerous to get addicted to those toys because you won't even want the real thing no more. Hello, who's this? Does that happen? Hey, what's going on, man?
Starting point is 01:26:14 All right. Well, you into sex toys, bro? Yeah, a little something. Me and my wife. Okay. Just grabbed our tree. Dog. Wow.
Starting point is 01:26:23 Let's talk about this. Angela just bought up that canine. Angela Rodgers talked about that. Yeah, that's a fact. I would imagine they knew about it, the beautiful young ladies up there. But I suggest everybody in any type of relationship, if you're lonely, if you're into whatever, get that. Well, Tracy's dog stopped. Yeah, they stopped about to go up because I'm Googling them right now.
Starting point is 01:26:46 What does Tracy's dog, what does it say they start about to go up Cause I'm googling them right now What is Tracy's dog What does it say It's a It's a line of toys It's not just one toy Oh It's a website Tracy's dog Okay
Starting point is 01:26:52 Alright well 800-585-1051 The OG s*** vibrator What What They're legit Alright We're talking sex toys this morning

Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step.
Starting point is 01:28:38 And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself.

Starting point is 01:32:16 because he's looking up Tracy's dog. Yo, Tracy's dog's got some wild stuff. They got someone here called the Terminator thrusting, rotating, masturbating machine's got some wild stuff. They got something on here called the Terminator Thrusting Rotating Masturbator Machine. It's sold out. It's sold out? Hey, that sounds like that might permanently break your lady part. Yes, look, it says sold out.
Starting point is 01:32:34 He just tried to order. It was sold out. Well, we have our guest host, Tiffany Cross and Miss Angela Rye here. And we're talking, well, let's do it the right way. It's Friday, so you know what that means. It's Freaky, Freaky, Freaky Friday. And we're talking sex toys this morning's do it the right way. It's Friday, so you know what that means. It's Freaky, Freaky, Freaky Friday. And we're talking sex toys this morning. A lot of people are on the line.
Starting point is 01:32:49 Hello, who's this? This is Candace. Hey. This is Jani, who they don't think of. Hey, Candace. Oh, God. Don't start, Charlotte. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:32:59 We're talking sex toys this morning. Talk to us. Okay, so, I mean, I agree with Trina. You can't get used to those toys. My man and I don't live together, so sometimes I have to resort to that rose. And 20, 25 seconds, and I'm
Starting point is 01:33:16 done. I don't want to get used to that. I want to enjoy, you know, my man holding me, grabbing me. I want to feel that body heat. So, it's okay, but not too much. Okay. Thank you, mama. Truth be told, I can understand why somebody would want to do the sex toy thing.
Starting point is 01:33:31 Because Trina also said in that interview that when a man goes down on her, she needs him down there for two hours. Ain't nobody got time for that. She definitely said two hours. Ain't nobody got time for that. That's crazy. You know? So get you to terminate a thrusting, rotating, masturbating man. That was sound.
Starting point is 01:33:43 Look, let me make sure that I'm clear about my endorsement. I don't know nothing about that one. That one sounds scary. I don't know nothing about that one. Hello, who's this? Hello, this is Lola from Houston. What do you think about sex toys, Mama? Well, I agree with Katrina.
Starting point is 01:33:58 I don't personally own any sex toys. I need the real thing. I don't have any sex toys. I don't really. Yeah, grown women don't have any interesting toys. I don't want to play with toys. In my opinion. I disagree. This 43-year-old does right here.
Starting point is 01:34:14 Yeah, girl, I disagree with that. I don't know if that's true or not. I don't play with toys. I need the real thing. I don't know. I think the toys have to be an accessory. You know what I mean? It's not an accessory. It's not a replacement. That's right.
Starting point is 01:34:30 It's an accoutrement. But what about if a woman is single and doesn't have a boyfriend? It's not an accessory at that point. It's a placeholder. It's a placeholder. Hello, who's this? Hello. Hey, what's your name? Good morning. Addie calling from New Jersey. Hey, what's your name? Good morning. Addie calling from New Jersey.
Starting point is 01:34:47 Hey, Addie from New Jersey. So we're talking sex toys this morning. What's your thoughts? So I agree with Trina. I think that you should just keep the toys out of the bedroom because no man, woman, cat, dog, frog
Starting point is 01:34:58 can match that energy. So just use the parts that you were given and if you can't make it do what it do with those parts, then you're doing it wrong. I want the record to show that a lot of these toys have settings. You ain't got to turn it on to the high setting. You can keep it low.
Starting point is 01:35:13 You know? What's the point of that? They have different patterns. Yeah. Yeah. What's your name, Mama? Shalonda Cummings. Your last name is Cummings.
Starting point is 01:35:20 Could you stop? Could you stop? That's a lady. Could you stop? I came up with a cool idea. It says Shalonda Cummings. Okay. I'm just's a lady. Could you stop? It came up a cool idea. It says Shalonda Cummings. I'm just asking. I just want to be sure. Now, it says you're an adult novelty specialist.
Starting point is 01:35:30 What does that mean? She sells toys. Yes, sir. Yes, I do. You got the plug on the Lickitung vibrators? They do have those. I want her opinion on Tracy's dogs and their whole line. I'm sorry?
Starting point is 01:35:44 To talk to us about sex toys, she wants your opinion on Tracy's dogs. I whole line. To talk to us. I'm sorry? To talk to us about sex toys, and she wants your opinion on Tracy's dogs. I guess the line and the rose and all that. Okay, well, I have the rose. The rose was pretty popular. It was single-rated before the couple. And in my opinion, you could turn your partner's member into a sex toy. Ooh, explain. There are sex toys that can make him vibrate.
Starting point is 01:36:03 They're called, I'm not sure if I have to say the word on the radio. Yes. It's called c**k rings. And you have c**k rings that vibrate and those that do not. Ah, so as the man is having intercourse, his penis will be vibrating. Vibrating, yes, sir. That is a very popular item. Yeah, that don't feel good for men, though.
Starting point is 01:36:23 I was going to ask, is that pleasurable for men and women? I've tried it. It don't feel good. It feels weird. Vibration is not very popular item. Yeah, that don't feel good for men, though. I was going to ask, is that pleasurable for men and women? I've tried it. It don't feel good. It feels weird. Vibration is not good for men. It depends on the man. There are various degrees of f***ing pain. Some do vibrate harder and stronger than others.
Starting point is 01:36:35 I'm sure if you have a small pee-pee, it doesn't feel good. And I think that's Charlamagne's problem. No, it just felt like my penis was having a seizure. What? Now, what about the thing you looked up? The masturbating thingamajiggy? I'm looking at this one now called the Turbo It's called the Turbo, the super automatic male masturbator
Starting point is 01:36:51 Is it Turbo? Yeah, it's Turbo Does it look like the Gawk Gawk 3000? A what? You said that the same exact time? It look like a what? There's this sex toy for men called the Gawk Gawk 3000 And it goes by many names I heard of that one, for me Called the Gawk Gawk 3000 And it goes by many names
Starting point is 01:37:06 I heard of that one I heard of the Gawk Yeah the Gawk Gawk 3000 Yeah I heard of that one Yeah That's a very popular one As well It's for guys
Starting point is 01:37:14 And I fell out of that one Quite often What about the Dr. S. Trusting Anal Vibrator What That varies by taste
Starting point is 01:37:24 Not everybody Does a back door play But There are a lot of people that varies by taste not everybody does a back door play but there are a lot of people that are curious and are willing to try
Starting point is 01:37:31 okay and there are actual anal plugs that you can use to slowly step you into anal play they vary by
Starting point is 01:37:38 very small okay and they can get pretty big one bead at a time I don't think I want to have my anal cavity as a colonic I don't want to have it in my anal cavity as a colonic.
Starting point is 01:37:46 I don't want none of that. Colonics are great. Colonics are like a detox. They're about to play with my butt on Monday. No, that's a colonoscopy. We're talking about colonics. I had a colonoscopy in December. I'm so proud of you guys for doing that.
Starting point is 01:38:04 You want to live. Exactly. But there's a lot of people who won't do it. So that's good. a colonoscopy in December. I'm so proud of you guys for doing that. You want to live. Exactly. But there's a lot of people who won't do it, so that's good. The colonics are great, though, because after you have the colonics, you're going to sit down and they put your feet up on that thing. What's the thing called? The squatty potty? What? That's what I was thinking, sir.
Starting point is 01:38:19 You're getting a closed system colonic. You're really brave. You said, sir. You get the boo-boo explosion up your back. You don't want that. You're not an open system. No, no, no. You're really brave. He says, you got to pass me? You get the boo-boo explosion up your back. You don't want that. You got an open system. No, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:38:28 That thing is crazy. You know, Dr. Oz came up here and told him that we don't need colonics. I don't agree with Dr. Oz. I don't agree with him. We don't. Okay, all right.
Starting point is 01:38:37 Well, what's the moral of the story? The moral of the story, it sounds like I'm ready for the Dr. S. trusting anal vibrator. Do you, boo? Do you, boo? No. Tracysdogs.com is the moral of the story. S. Trusting anal vibrator. Do you, boo? Do you, boo? No.
Starting point is 01:38:47 Tracysdogs.com is the moral of the story. They got some things on here. They need to pay for advertising. That just says some stuff up here. That's what they should do. Who used to send us stuff? Somebody used to send us stuff. Dr. Johnson.
Starting point is 01:38:58 Dr. Johnson. No, Doc Johnson. Doc Johnson. Yeah, Doc Johnson. Dr. Johnson. That's the same toy place as something else. Yeah, I know. It's what it's called.
Starting point is 01:39:05 Doc Johnson. All right. When we come back, we place as something else. Yeah, I know. It's what it's called. Doc Johnson. All right. When we come back, we got your rumor report. We got to talk TJ Holmes. He's back. Great segue. That was a great segue. Oh, my God. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 01:39:16 All right. We'll get into that next. I hate y'all. It's the Breakfast Club. Not y'all. It's the Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club. Power 105.1.
Starting point is 01:39:31 The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same. All right, let's get right to the rumors. We got a lot to talk about. Let's talk P. Diddy. Rumor has it. Rumor. Rumor has it.
Starting point is 01:39:41 Call out a name or you gossiping or you chatty patty. I'm gossiping. This is the rumor report. I mean, I guess we on The Breakfast Club. This is where the tea spills, right? Yes. On The Breakfast Club. Now, P. Diddy is trending right now.
Starting point is 01:39:53 P-E-E Diddy. And that's because of the conversation with Trina and Karisha. It say, take a shower. If you like, go to showers. I do. Are you everywhere? You like it? I just like it.
Starting point is 01:40:05 You do? A week. A freak of the week. I do. Are you everywhere? You like it? I just like it. You do? Mm-hmm. Freak. Freak of the week. I'm going to be honest. I've never had a golden shower. I've given one. Oh, is that the same thing as squirting?
Starting point is 01:40:14 Yeah. Well, they say that. I don't know. But I had a golden shower, and I like it. I'm all about trying new things, though. It's fun. Yeah. You know when you drunk, and you just...
Starting point is 01:40:24 And they just all over your body? You just... Like, you know when you're drunk and you just and they just all over your body you just like and then y'all still have sex after it appears like you can put me in the shower you can put me like once you let the record show they was 37 shots in by that point your thoughts um if if this young lady genuinely likes golden showers that's one thing i think one thing an issue that i see among younger women in particular is in rap lyrics in their conversation everything is about pleasing a man doing something that appeals to a man visually or doing something that sexually pleases a man. And I wish that conversation could flip.
Starting point is 01:41:06 You know, like, what is this man doing to please you? Because that seems like a very degrading thing. I'm sure women pee on men. Perhaps, but if this 20-something is talking about P. Diddy, and we don't know if she is or not. No, no, she didn't say P. Diddy. P. Diddy's just trending because people are assuming. I don't like it. I don't like that. I don't know if she is or not. No, no, she didn't say P. Diddy. P. Diddy's just trending because people are assuming. Why would people assume it was Diddy?
Starting point is 01:41:25 I don't like it. I don't like that. I don't like that. I don't even like the visual of that. It does seem degrading. It seems degrading. It's all fun and games until said man eats asparagus.
Starting point is 01:41:36 Okay. Let's see if you fought after that man just ate some asparagus. Goodness gracious. Okay. And our guest hosts, of course, is Angela Rye and Tiffany Cross. Now, we got to talk TJ Holmes. TJ Holmes allegedly had sex with his 24-year-old intern in his office.
Starting point is 01:41:55 Now, this comes from thedailymail.com. We're not going to say the woman's name. Thank you. But they're saying that he was a predator who took full advantage of his position and he was reckless. Now, the informant went on to allege that the first time the pair's relationship got sexual was in his office only a couple of hours before he was set to go on air. And we just don't think it's right that they found this up and dug it up and put that lady's information out there. So we won't say her name. Thank you. Yeah, I don't know if any of that is true, but I just don't allegedly, allegedly, allegedly. Yeah, I don't understand why brothers just keep tricking themselves out of position for poom poom.
Starting point is 01:42:28 Like, you know who you are, you know what I mean? And you know who you are in that building. So why would you ever put yourself in a position to lose your job over a woman? Over sex? You can't control yourself? Well, if it's true, this, you know, was some time ago and i think that if we look there are numerous examples that uh rose out of the me too movement where people were using their positions of power to do all kinds of things i remember hearing stories about oh when you start doing more business in la and entertainment
Starting point is 01:42:56 guys will try you they absolutely do oh i want to do a show with you by the way can we go on a date like this it's really a thing and so i think think that when people are pursued and they're like, oh, this is someone I can mentor and they're attractive. They need to learn how to control themselves because clearly it's a rampant problem. It was something that if it happened, he thought he could get away with. And if it happened, he didn't tell now. And we know this story is not out because it's the right thing to do. They're demonizing TJ. Right. Because I was going to say there are people on air today right now as a matter of fact right now he was married
Starting point is 01:43:30 she was married and there was something and the network turned it into a love story and some might call that a me too marriage so i'm not necessarily saying tj deserves all the heat coming this way i just think that if there's gonna be a precedent it should be equal across the board you know they ain't gonna dig up nothing on that white woman you ain't gonna hear nothing about who she used to sleep with or who she messed with in that now we haven't heard anything and lastly i just want to talk about uh shout to everybody in houston in h town a young lady named sydney uh lide now she was a woman that was shot the same night that takeoff was killed she was at the event and she was shot nobody talks about her she didn't have uh insurance so she had to raise money to actually pay she was shot in the head to pay her doctor bills so uh
Starting point is 01:44:09 she actually uh was just released from the hospital and she speaks about it or that arguing was kind of your first sign that something something was going on yeah because quavo he was upset so we the party wasn't gonna keep going. Everything broke out and I tried to run, but I didn't go that far. So, yeah, it was really like a movie, like shooting all the way until I got down the escalator into the car. And I'm just telling a person I'm with, like I'm scared. You didn't realize takeoff was killed until you got home. Yeah. I actually was going through it i was sad that it ended up like
Starting point is 01:44:47 that but i was just i'm grateful that i did because the place that it hit in my head i just feel like it it was a miracle wow wow she said that the person that was with her picked her up off the floor when she was shot you know dragged her carried her downstairs to the car and drove her to the hospital so thank god she's alive and she's home i wonder if she raised enough money to cover all her fees to your point about her not having insurance i'm not sure i'm not sure god bless that woman such a tragic situation is that the note you're gonna end on for rumor report you're not gonna end on that right and congratulations to chrissy teigen and john legend they revealed the sex and name of their newborn baby.
Starting point is 01:45:27 They welcomed the baby January 13th. Okay, that's a high. They have shared their... And let me see, let me see. Esty Maxine Stevens is the newborn baby's name. Esty Maxine Stevens. So congratulations. That's a high.
Starting point is 01:45:41 Drop on the cool button for the Legends. And I just want to say, since it is Freaky Freaky Friday, for anybody out there who is influenced by Young Miami and you want to try golden showers this weekend, just know you got to do that in a cold weather state. I was thinking that's too hot for that in Miami. They have somebody just peeing on you. So if you're going to do it, do it in a cold weather state.
Starting point is 01:46:00 You know what I mean? Do it in the shower. Or don't do it. Can I? He is nasty. I got something better to say. I have a don't do it. Can I? He is nasty. He is nasty. I got something better to say. I have a better thing to say.
Starting point is 01:46:08 A more positive note. You were talking about John Legend. John Legend is on a song running with my boy, J.I.V. You know J.I.V. Hey, J.I.V. J.I.V. is nominated for a Grammy. So everybody download the song running because it's a dope song. It's Slick Rick, J.I.V. and John Legend in verse.
Starting point is 01:46:24 It's a dope song. Spooky J.I.V. He performed in Ghana. That's good. Boze's party. Yes. Alright, well it's The Breakfast Club. The People's Choice mixes up next.
