Good morning, USA! Wednesday, hump day, middle of the week. How you feeling? It's definitely Wednesday. I am blessed, black, and highly favored, man. Happy to be here. What's happening?
Yes, I'm a little tired. Last night, shout out to the cast of The Blackening.
The Blackening is a horror comedy that is coming out this weekend.
It stars Yvonne Orji, who else was in it?
Jay Pharoah, and a host of others.
Dope, dope, dope, black cast, black movie, black scary movie.
Last night, they had a screening at
the Apollo and then last night I was DJing
the after party. So I was out on a
school night, but it was crazy. I had a great time
ran into so many different people last night.
They're going to be here
this week. They're going to be here tomorrow. Yeah, absolutely.
So they're going to be here tomorrow talking about it. Fabulous
was a surprise performance. Remy Ma was a
surprise performance. I see so many people
in the building last night.
Kiki Palmer was there.
Woody from Power.
Is the movie good, though?
Did you watch the movie?
I seen the movie.
The movie's good.
Yeah.
Okay.
The movie's good.
I seen, what's the brother that plays Michael Jackson?
Miles Frost.
Miles Frost was there as well.
He's not on Broadway anymore.
Nah, he's not in MJ the Musician.
He's doing a couple of big things where it's going to come back,
so I'm excited about that.
There was a lot of people
in the building,
so salute to everybody
that was out last night
that I ran into.
Had a great time.
It was really, really nice.
Had a beautiful time last night.
Absolutely.
I'm paying for it right now
though.
I ain't going to go for it.
Because your ass is old
and you'll be out
in these streets
for no damn reason.
Listen, we got two special guests
that'll be here this morning though.
That's right.
2C will be joining us.
Najor, his album is out.
Toosie did some numbers his first week.
125,000, I think, was his first week.
125,000, something like that.
And Callie will be here.
She got the single, Area Code.
That's right.
Callie, of course, she is from California.
I think she was raised in Atlanta, whatever.
But we'll talk it up.
We'll chop it up with her.
And you know what people have been hitting me last night?
I think the finals was like the best watched finals in years.
And I think yesterday we might have said that.
Nobody was watching it.
So we were wrong.
The best.
Are you sure about that?
That don't even sound like an accurate stat.
The best.
Would you say the best?
Most watched.
The best watched finals in years?
Most watched finals.
I don't know.
I got to look that up.
Yeah.
I don't know.
People were hitting us yesterday.
It was like, no.
Tagging me and you on it, actually. I got to look that up. Look it up.'t know. People were hitting us yesterday. It was like, no, tagging me and you on it, actually. I got
to look that up. Look it up. Google it. Most watched
finals. Yes.
That's not what I'm looking at right now.
What are you looking at?
Let me see.
it says NBA playoffs
hit five-year ratings high.
But then another one
says NBA finals low, but the game five and the playoffs ratings high. But then another one says NBA Finals low,
but the Game 5
and the playoffs were high.
So I don't know.
All right, well.
Anyway, well, let's get the show cracking.
Front page news.
Tezlin Figaro will be joining us.
We got to talk about Donald Trump, of course.
So don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club on BET.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy,
Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get in some front page news.
What we got?
Teslan Figueroa is here.
Oh, and listen, that information was not correct, what you just said.
No, it was the finals.
No, the playoff viewership was up. NBA finals ratings were down from 2022, but playoff viewership was up.
That's right.
Yes.
All right. Well, let's start off with donald trump
and today is donald trump's birthday yes absolutely they were singing uh happy birthday yesterday to
donald trump uh in the cuban restaurant uh yesterday donald trump became the first former
president to face a judge on federal charges as he pleaded not guilty in a miami courtroom
to dozens of felony counts accusing him of hoarding classified documents and refusing government demands to give them back.
Now, inside the courtroom, he said silently, visibly upset with his arms crossed as a lawyer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf in a brief arraignment that ended without him having to surrender his passport or otherwise restrict his travel.
Until last week, no former president has been charged by the Justice justice department let alone accused of mishandling top secret information so what's next for the case
so what's next a quick overview up next they'll start the discovery process now guys that is where
both parties are ordered to turn over any evidence to each other uh with trump's legal team uh they
also will file motions and that the type of motions they may may file this is not
guaranteed but you know ask the case to be dismissed exclude certain evidence from being
presented at trial and anything else they can think of you know that is what they do during
the motion process and then just a quick note for everyone to understand that the federal speedy
trial act says that the government must bring a case to trial within 70 days of the indictment
that deadline could also be extended.
And then with all of that going on, let's not forget, he still has the New York charges of falsifying business records.
He still has to handle that.
That trial is expected to begin early 2024.
The case in Georgia is also expected to happen this summer as well.
And he's doing all of this while still running for the Republican nomination.
And there was zero smoke yesterday in florida yeah how many people i mean it didn't seem like
it was a lot of people and then it was zero smoke and i think more folks are realizing uh this isn't
something to fight over because trump is dead wrong and when trump stands up there and trump
says things like you know they're coming after me because they really want to come after you
i think those people are like no they're actually just coming after you buddy yeah it was no smoke i knew you wanted to make sure you know we talked
about that as well you had a you know some folks out there i saw a guy that was running uh he was
dressed in a in jail a jail costume did he try to jump in front of the car or something yeah he
tried to jump in front of the car and so uh now they were saying he was an anti-Trump person saying lock him up.
I didn't see that.
But that's, you know, with the comment caucus, what I call them on social media.
That's what they said.
But so you have a couple of things.
But other than that, yeah, it was absolutely no smoke.
It looks like the era of crashing out for Donald Trump may perhaps be over.
As I said, I think, you know, January 6th,
that was more of an exception than it was a rule.
Plus, the stakes were way higher.
You know what I mean?
Like, that was a presidential election
that some people thought was stolen from them.
They bought into that lie.
You know what I mean?
So it's easier to rile them up.
But then riling them up just because you personally effed up
and you personally did effed up things
and now you got to deal with the consequences of it.
I don't think nobody crashing out for you because of that.
All right.
Well, that is front page news.
Now, get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, phone lines are wide open.
800-585-1051.
Tez, we'll see you in a couple of minutes.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
This is your time to get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?

And I feel good about it
Seven months
Why so long?
Huh?
I said why so long?
I kind of
You know
I kind of messed up
You know
I was
Cheating
I was messing up a little bit
Cheating
Not cheating
You know
Not physically cheating
Probably emotionally cheating
So
Yeah
She finally you know
So it was a while
She wasn't you know
Feeling me
You know
Y'all do know
Humans
Women
Especially are more
Emotional
Than physical
So
Emotionally
Cheating
And emotionally hurting her
Can probably cause her to dry up
More so than
Oh for sure.
You know what I mean?
You know, I realize that.
Yes.
I'm glad y'all are back, brother.
Yeah, thank you, man.
Have a good one.
You too, champ.
Hello, who's this?
Yo, what up, Breakfast Club?
It's Lil' Honda Civic.
Hey, what's up, brother?
Get off your chest.
What up, Lil' Honda Civic?
Yo, what's popping, man?
I just want to say I was at the Detroit Car Show, and DJ Envy's been doing a phenomenal job with it.
Oh, thank you, brother.
Yeah, I'm hoping I can make it to the Houston one, man.
Yeah, Houston is Father's Day weekend this weekend coming up,
and I invite all the fathers, all the grandfathers, all the baby daddies,
the moms, this is a perfect gift for dad.
This is an easy one.
You come on out, you get car shows,
your kids have amusement rides and carnival games
and all types of activations.
Monster brings out the bikes and they do the flips for the kids.
There's so many things going on.
If you haven't got your tickets, get your tickets now.
That's this weekend in Houston.
My family's coming out there.
So we're going to be spending some Father's Day weekend in Houston.
So salute to everybody that's coming on out.
And there's going to be a lot of cars.
If you want to put your cars in the show, djnvcarshow at gmail.com.
Put your car, bike, if you want to be a vendor.
There's going to be a lot of people there.
I can't wait to meet you guys, man.
We're going to come back to Detroit next year, I think.
All right, for sure, man.
I mean, I'm in California.
I'm waiting for you to come out in California.
I'm trying to get you to play a little Honda Civic on the radio so I can get sponsored by Honda.
I could be at every event.
You know what I mean?
You got a song called Little Honda Civic?
Yeah, if you Google it, I'm the only one in the world.
That's dope.
I like you representing for the Honda, man. Theonda is one of the most loyal cars ever okay there's people that got hondas
right now that they've had for 30 years and them things still running oh yeah i'm in mine right now
i was trying to buy you know my first car was a 1986 honda car with the flip up lights i've
been trying to buy one but them things expensive still to this day like expensive expensive yes
if they got like you, low miles on it
or decent miles,
expensive.
I've been trying to find one
on Facebook, Marketplace.
I've been trying eBay.
Everywhere.
1986 Honda Code
with the football lights.
I think everybody's had a Honda.
I had a red Honda Civic
back in the day.
And, you know,
it broke down on me
because I never,
I didn't change the oil.
Jesus Christ.
I didn't know nobody.
Oh, that's on you.
You got to change that oil, man.
I know, man.
I just want to say
happy Father's Day to y'all.
My dad was a Masterpiece First DJ in Richmond, California.
So happy Father's Day to my pops.
You know what I mean?
Damn.
Okay.
That's what it is.
Tell your OG I said peace.
Absolutely.
Yeah, yeah.
He's chilling right now.
He's in the studio right now.
All right.
Well, hopefully I'll see you in Houston, brother.
All right.
I'm going to try to see y'all, man.
Have a good day, y'all.
Peace.
Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, hit us up now. It's The Breakfast brother. All right. I'm going to try to see y'all, man. Have a good day, y'all. Peace. Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, hit us up now.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
It's a new day.
This is your time to get it off your chest.
Wake up.
Whether you're mad or blessed.
It's time to get up and get something.
Call up now.
800-585-1051. We want to hear
from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this? Good morning.
This is Kimmy. Hey, Kimmy. Good morning.
Get it off your chest. Good morning,
DJ Envy. Good morning, Charlamagne.
I just want to start by saying I love y'all.
But anyway, I want to go ahead and
I just want to go ahead
and throw out the fact that
I want to get it off my chest that
YK Osiris publicly assaulted Tatiana by kissing her on her mouth like that when she was already
visibly upset.
And I don't like the fact that the public has normalized things like that because you
could literally see how uncomfortable that woman was.
And everybody just thought it was funny.
So that bothered me.
And I just wanted to get that off my chest.
Yeah, I didn't know the public normalized that.
That looked like behavior from the 1900s.
Really?
I thought we were past that already.
I didn't really get a chance to see it or what she said.
I seen him behind her, like massaging her neck.
But I didn't continue to watch it.
Yeah, and then he kissed her off in her mouth.
And that girl's jaw dropped.
And as a woman, I can see when another woman is uncomfortable. And it was literally all over her face. And he thought it was dropping. As a woman, like, I can see when another woman is uncomfortable,
and it was literally, like, all over her face,
and he thought it was funny, and I didn't like that at all.
Word.
Okay.
Thank you, mama.
Thank you.
Y'all have a good day.
Have a blessed one.
Hello, who's this?
Yo, what's going on, Breakfast Club?
This your boy Tyler, a.k.a. Dingo.
Tyler, what up?
What's up, Dingo?
Hey, man, I'm chilling, y'all.
What's good with y'all?
How y'all feeling?
Bless Black and Holly, baby.
Every time you call, Dingo, all Iall. Oh, we don't have no guests. DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God? Yep. Oh, okay.
So it's the Breakfast Sausage Club today.
That's what I'm talking about.
The Breakfast what?
Okay, cool, cool.
The Breakfast Sausage Club.
The Sausage Club.
Yes.
We the Guzmans.
But go ahead, brother.
That's right.
Hey, anyway.
Yo, that conversation the other day had me, like, hot.
It was so cringing hearing all these women that love forbidden fruit instead of taking responsibility and accountability for their own relationships and maintaining a relationship with a single guy.
It doesn't make any sense that women want to date married men when there's plenty of single men out here that are waiting and willing and chilling to deal with y'all.
Y'all just got to be accountable women.
Y'all can't be expecting a man that's single,
that's got their own everything to want to deal with your needy butt.
You feel me?
We're not going to do 100% of everything.
It's a partnership.
It's 50-50.
Just like Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Dillion, it's 50-50.
So y'all ladies got to get your mental right in order to attract that man that y'all want.
So y'all stop messing with these babies.
They just don't make no sense to me.
I got a homegirl named Ashley James.
We call her AJ.
She's one of the hosts of the We Talk Back podcast.
She's been saying for years that, you know,
they need to start beating side chicks up.
Because if the side chick makes it to where
the side chick is okay with that type of behavior,
so that's what happens. It's terrible. You got to start beating the side chick. It with that type of behavior. So that's what happens.
It's terrible.
You got to start beating the side chick.
It's terrible, y'all.
That's all I wanted to say, man.
It's messed up.
I just, women, hold yourselves more accountable.
There's plenty of us out here.
You don't got to settle for no married man.
But just know, you got to come correct.
Because single men, we don't want to deal with no bill.
We don't want to deal with no headache.
We sure as hell not try to take care of no grown woman.
So come on now. Y'all got to make it no headache. We sure as hell not try to take care of no grown woman. So, come on now.
Y'all gotta make it make sense for us.
Alright, brother. Alright,
Dingo. Tim!
Hey, what's up, guys? Get up your chest,
Tim. The last couple times
I've gotten through, I've talked about
toxicity and toxic people.
So, today it's about spreading a little bit of love
to all the fathers.
My dad, he's going to turn 82.
He's my true hero in my life.
So I just want to, for Father's Day coming up, and even the mothers out there, you know,
mom, dad, giving love.
This is a special weekend for a lot of people.
And I know there's a lot of people out there that's missing their fathers.
And I give, you know know much respect and love to them
i know it's a hard time you know it's something i can't really relate to i know that day's coming
and i can't you know speak on that right now but much love and blessing for all them toxic people
be on facebook posting pictures with their kids getting baptized and all that first of all your
kid didn't get baptized that's a bath bath. I give my kid a bath.
Baptize my kid every day. Hilarious.
And it's with bubble bath.
Alright, Tim. Have a good one. Have a good day, Tim.
Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there.
My dad as well. My dad is 80 years old.
He'll be 81 this year.
My dad is my hero. I talk about it all the time.
That's a blessing. So shout out, salute to
Pops, Pop Dukes.
Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051
If you need to vent
You can hit us up
You know what we need
To talk about in Rumors man
What's that?
I saw a headline yesterday
No hip hop album
Or song
Has hit number one
In 2023
That's the first
In 30 years
We need to have
A conversation about that
Alright we'll talk about that
And also
Anita Baker's back With the chopper bro Anita Baker's back with the chopper, bro.
Anita Baker's back with the chopper?
Anita Baker is back with the chopper.
What has Anita Baker done?
Oh, we're going to talk about it in the room.
She ain't playing with y'all.
We'll talk about it.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Hey, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk.
No hip-hop album or song has hit number one.
Rumor has it.
Rumor.
Rumor has it.
Call out a name or you gossiping or you chatty patty.
I am gossiping.
This is The Rumor Report.
I mean, I guess we on The Breakfast Club.
This is where the tea spills, right?
Right.
On The Breakfast Club.
Now, no hip-hop album or song has hit number one in 2023.
This is a first in 30 years.
And last year it was what, six?
By this time last year, six rappers had a number one album
and two hip-hop singles had topped the Billboard Hot 100.
Let's discuss.
I have a theory about this.
I think it's a few reasons.
I think it's a few reasons.
I think, number one, everybody's too busy chasing busy chasing algorithms like folks don't care about creating something that
has real value all they care about is going viral and i hear people on the come up talk about how to
make their content go viral online more than i hear them discuss whether or not their content
is actually good and when some of these artists are blessed enough to sign to a label the label
isn't doing anything but chasing algorithms too like labels don't uh attempt to
develop these artists anymore because they're too busy you know chasing those algorithms that are for
the moment uh the second reason uh i think that is the case is that not too many not uh so many
of these artists have abandoned radio like a lot of them think they don't need it anymore and the
internet is enough but if you have to have a presence online and in the main screen because the reality is online fans are super fickle and they will love
you today and not care about you tomorrow but getting constant radio play keeps you in people's
ears and it keeps you in the conversation and then when you build a great library of music that
people are gravitating towards online and radio then you can have some longevity you know and
then you can go touring and those things
get you real fans not the fly-by-night fans nobody cares about uh after the that don't care about you
after the viral moment has come and gone yeah well billboard speculates that the most popular
and reliable artists haven't released projects as of yet that's part of the reason and also they're
saying there's a slight decline over the past year hip-hop and r&b were at 27.8 percent now had as it's down to 26 percent and it says country and latin music have
risen and afro beats is rising too and you know and i think that's that's my third reason is
because you know hip-hop has a lot of low vibrations right now like folks are tired of the
low vibrational nigga okay like like all the death the violence that surrounds hip-hop the energy just
isn't right and you have other genres of black music like i just the depth the violence that surrounds hip-hop the energy just isn't right and
you have other genres of black music like i just mentioned afro beats that are on a higher vibration
and it's just much easier to gravitate towards that and by the way afro beats artists uh still
care about radio like they still care about making records for radio and they care they still care
about uh getting radio play so you have to have a combination of it all you have to have a
combination of radio and online in order to have that uh longevity to be around and build a real fan base that's right
well stop chasing the algorithms well moving on anita baker is back in the news i'll tell you
about anita baker yesterday never chased the algorithm anita baker has removed babyface from
her tour come on now after several days of criticizing him on twitter anita baker said
after silently enduring cyber bullying verbal abuse and threats of violence from the fan base Babyface from her tour. Come on now. After several days of criticizing him on Twitter, Anita Baker said,
After silently enduring cyberbullying,
verbal abuse,
and threats of violence from the fan base of our special guest support act,
in the interest of personal safety,
I will continue the songstress tour alone.
I saw people upset about that.
Like, I saw what Tank said,
you know what I mean?
But the reality is,
if that's Anita Baker's tour,
and she don't want Babyface
on the tour no more
she has every right
to remove Babyface
from the tour
I don't know what's going on
with Anita Baker and Babyface
I'd be staying out
of grown folks business
I just know that
if Anita Baker
don't want Babyface
on the tour
she don't have to have him
on the tour
this is wild
this is wild
well Babyface
he said I'm saddened
by the news
that Anita Baker
has decided to remove me
from the songstress tour
it's unfortunate and disheartened to see how things have played out via social media
While I was looking forward to the rest of the dates
I have nothing but love and respect for Anita and I wish her the best for the remainder of her tour
And like you said, yes tank spoke out about it yesterday
It's really hard for me to stand by and let one of my heroes, one of the nicest human beings ever, just be attacked and
be vilified for no reason. Guy by the name of Babyface. Somebody has to say something. He
apologized to his fans for not being able to perform after he was told he would not be able
to perform. So somehow whatever happens after that is his fault? You kick him off the tour?
I want to respect my elders.
I do.
You know, I guess, you know, stay out of grown folks' business is what they say.
But somebody got to say something.
Babyface?
Something don't seem wrong about that.
We have to protect our black women.
I see where you guys are.
I understand that.
Who's protecting our black men, our black heroes?
That guy.
It's Babyface.
Babyface will still wake up Babyface this morning.
Babyface can go on tour by himself
like he's been doing for years.
But you know what's really funny about this?
I bet you Babyface has nothing to do
with any of this. These are people
online harassing
poor Anita Baker and somebody needs to
take Anita Baker's damn phone.
Anita Baker is probably sitting back thinking that
Babyface is sending all these people to attack her. Babyface has nothing to do with what these people are doing online to Anita Baker's damn phone. That's right. Anita Baker is probably sitting back thinking that Babyface is sending all these people to attack her.
Babyface has nothing to do
with what these people
are doing online
to Anita Baker.
You think Anita Baker
got an Android or iPhone?
Definitely an iPhone.
You better stop playing
with Anita Baker like that.
Well, she said
appropriate refunds
will be made.
So if you are
going to see Babyface
and you don't want to
go back on the tour,
they're saying that
refunds will be made.
I don't think it's Anita Baker on her own social media.
I think she probably got somebody handling that for her.
You think so?
That's what I believe.
I don't believe Anita Baker's even on her own social media.
All right.
Well, that is your rumor report.
Now, when we come back, we got front page news.
Tezlin Figaro will be joining us.
So don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
And Toosie will be here next hour.
The Breakfast Club. Your morningsa will be joining us. So don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. And Toosie will be here next hour. The Breakfast Club.
Your mornings will never be the same.

Charlamagne never asks how I'm feeling, so thank you.
It's your hush, Tez.
Let's get right into front page news.
Now, let's talk about the transgender activist that is no longer welcome at the White House.
Yes, transgender woman Rose Montoya is no longer welcome at the White House events after posting on social media a video of herself and two others going topless at Saturday's Pride Month celebration on South Lawn. Now White House Press
Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the behavior was simply unacceptable and
it is unfair to the hundreds of attendees who were there to celebrate
with their families. She went on to say that individuals in the video certainly
will not be invited to future events and that bare-chested display was not a
normal thing that has happened under this administration. Now in response certainly will not be invited to future events and that bare chested display was not a normal
thing that has happened under this administration. Now in response Montoya defended the post by
saying that going topless in Washington DC is legal and Montoya supports freeing the nipple
movement and said that a man would not have faced similar pushback and that trans masculine people
were showing off their top surgery scars and living in joy.
And Montoya wanted to join them.
I didn't I didn't know liberals drew the line at anything.
I had no idea this.
They drew the line on this one.
And what kind of bothered me about this is another video was posted last night where Montoya was saying, you know, conservatives were coming after her. And although that is true, you know, coming after her and although that is true you know coming after her for different reasons i just want to point out that the white house press secretary uh is a proud
member you know of lgbt community and she also you know said that that was unacceptable so i think
across the board this is probably where liberal and conservatives just think it just might be
unacceptable to pop your tits out you know at the white house yeah and by the way it don't have
nothing to do with uh you know that that that person being trans or i guess you know them at the white house
not being down with the free to nipple movement it's just as the white house if i ask you to keep
your damn shirt on keep your shirt on if i ask you to keep your shoes on keep your shoes on get
you walk in the gas station and say no shirt no shoes no service same thing with the white house
i guess i mean it's the same thing you remember a long time ago people were mad at meek mill because
of where he walked into the president's office over in af. I mean, it's the same thing. You remember a long time ago, people were mad at Meek Mill because of where he walked into the president's office over in Africa.
I think that's the same thing.
People, you know, they want a certain way of respect and a certain dress code when you walk into the White House.
I mean, if it was a pool party, I think the people have a little different feeling.
But the fact that it was a whatever celebration it was.
Yeah, no, I can't go there and take my shirt off.
I agree with the white
house on this one plus you know joe biden 89 years old you want to keep his blood circulating but you
don't want him to have a heart attack right and just for clarity uh she was not in the white house
it was outside on the south line and the way she mashed the video up it was like one you know
showing her with biden and then after that you know showing a so the way that it was put out on
tiktok you know it would it was like all together and that's what they find disrespectful so
so on the line or in the white house just keep your shirt on all right now we got to talk about
this uh uh this drug that's going to help marijuana addiction yes did you guys know people are
addicted to marijuana uh marijuana use the United States reaches record highs, especially among young adults.
Experts say this is a growing need to address its potential for addiction.
An experimental pill, the first in a new class of drugs, has shown promise in treating cannabis use disorder.
The drug is known as AEF-0117, and it was found to reduce the perceived good effects of cannabis by up to 38 percent.
Of course, weed is addictive. That's why we do it.
What is cannabis use disorder?
Cannabis use disorder is diagnosed as the inability to stop using marijuana, even when it causes significant disruptions to daily life, such as interfering with relationships or work.
And so this is according to the Subst abuse and mental health services administration they say an estimated 14 million
Americans struggle with cannabis use disorder so I thought this was
interesting my favorite thing reported studies and you know experiments are
happening and you know we've we obviously we agreed that we should be
legalized but I wanted to get you guys feedback on the addiction and how some people
just literally wake up you know smoking weed going to bed smoking weed and how it's affected a lot of
their relationships well the thing with weed is uh folks don't want to stop because folks do enjoy
it and you know folks don't look at weed as something that's uh that's harmful you know but
I guess you don't realize you're addicted to it until you have to stop like if you're on probation
or something and you know you know you got you got to get you know you got to get test but you
just can't find you can't stop you can't control yourself that's when you know i guess you got this
cannabis use disorder that's i'm gonna let y'all know y'all been using all types of words this
morning that we're not supposed to be using but all right let's keep you can't say test
no yes you can well that is your front page news it's gonna be a long day i can tell already
when we come back.

A lot more money than we've seen them last time.
Got a lot more money.
A lot more money?
A lot more.
Tootsie, ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome, brother.
How you feeling?
I'm feeling good, man.
Al Mout, Al, you doingotsie, ladies and gentlemen Welcome, brother How you feeling? I'm good, man Al now, Al doing well?
Yeah, yeah We going crazy right now
The Jor?
Yeah
Was that something backwards?
Nah
What is it?
Nah, that's my real name
Okay, okay, okay
Yeah, yeah, yeah
That's my real name
So I always told myself
Like when I
When I drop my debut album
It's gonna be a subtitled album
Is that like French?
Yeah, it is.
It is?
Yeah.
You know what it means?
Yeah, love and friendship.
Wow.
Yeah.
I always wonder what is a debut album nowadays
because you've been out here for a minute.
You've heard a lot of music, a lot of projects.
Mixed tapes, EPs, all types of records.
How do you know when it's time?
It'd be a different rollout.
I mean, with the debut album, we treat everything like an album, but it's a different rollout. I mean, with the debut album, like, we treat everything like an album,
but it's a different rollout.
It's a different process.
Yeah, we've seen six label people today, so that's how you know the difference, too.
Arnold up here.
Arnold up here, you know it must be something different.
The CEO don't come outside.
Right, right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, so, so.
Is this album like a 2C verse?
Your government name, is that the play on it?
Nah, it's not really a tootsie verse now it's more so like uh this is this is who now you know um yeah i've
been seeing a lot of who tootsie is but through the music i'm gonna tell my story so uh if you
go just skim through the album um it'll be stories of my life and stories of my life all throughout
the album so yeah you know what your name actually means? Yeah,
Love and Friendship.
He just said that.
You see what I tell you?
I told you you don't listen.
You heard me, right?
I told you you don't listen.
I just asked him that. I type blame all of y'all
though,
because bro,
this shit crazy.
Waking up at nine in the morning.
He been up since four.
I swear I ain't saying
no more No Love and Friendship.
She just asked him.
I said that French.
What's wrong with you?
Oh, I heard that part.
I definitely heard you ask if it was French.
It's daydream, man.
Daydream.
I was looking at your jewelry for a second.
Nah, the shit you saying fake.
Yeah, man.
That's the same.
The last time, let me tell you.
You didn't have the tootsie last time, though.
I didn't have the tootsie.
When he put the little diamond check on it.
That shit was viral, too.
Yo, bro.
Yo, that shit was so viral.
He probably looking for the diamond check now.
I got it back there.
I ain't going to give him two of them.
I was fucking with him, though.
It wasn't my diamond check.
Nah, I was like,
the dude was acting like it didn't work.
I'm like, hold on.
Whoa.
I'm like, nah.
I know my shit now.
Oh, shit.
Now, you had a great
First week with your sales
Do you care about
First week sales
Since you have such
A strong fan base
Man honestly no
Because it don't matter
When something
Catch off the album
You get what I'm saying
Like it could catch off
The album a year from now
And um
As long as it catch
That's all that matter
Like I feel like I mean man listen, it's generations with the music, man.
Sooner or later, the niggas that's on top ain't going to be on top.
They got to be somebody that come after them.
And I'm not in no rush to get nowhere that I already know I'm going to be at.
So, like, the story I already wrote, I'm not tripping on none of that.
How does it feel to have your dream actually fulfilled? Think about
when you first met
Arnold and he's telling you these things
and I know you got your own things that you believe but now
it's like damn. Man
it's a blessing bro. It's a
blessing and I'm just happy to be
where I'm at
but at the same time I'm blessed
to have the drive that I got
because I'm willing to do a lot of things that other artists not willing to do.
I'm hungry.
I'm humble.
I'm confident.
But in all, I'm a good person.
And good things come to good people.
So I feel like that's the biggest thing.
My personality go a long way.
How's the city taking you in?
Man, like hometown?
Yeah.
It's cool. You feel me? Like, it's always love i don't really i ain't no outside person i don't drink i don't smoke i don't party
i don't do that i ain't into that because that's one of the hardest i would say you know it's
when people are not from new york city those five boroughs yeah it's always like it's it's
even harder for them to break because a lot of people don't accept the fact that it is so so I know
You had to deal with that a lot. Yeah, I was definitely
Like coming from upstate man, like it ain't no
Ain't no luck
But at the end of the day, it's like so what like people see see the problem is people get boxed in
And they start to feel like you know where they at is the only thing that's in the world.
They try to become, you know, famous in their hometown before they become famous everywhere else.
And I took a different route.
I'm like, I'm going to travel the world, and I'm going to get known in all these other places to where it make my name look bigger, and everybody at home got to respect me.
So, like, that was the route I took.
I mean, from there, there we just we've been killing
it but do you feel the love back home because you know you your hometown favorite yeah it's not too
many artists from your hometown so it's like you are it so do you see the the love when you walk
in and the kids was like i want to be him and the old teachers call him like i remember you are you
feeling that type of love because you deserve it yeah no always always especially like in my
hometown hometown like in Syracuse.
It's like, man,
besides Post Malone,
but Post Malone,
he don't really claim Syracuse.
Post Malone, he from Syracuse?
I had no idea Post Malone was from Syracuse. I had no idea Post was from Syracuse.
I thought he was from Milwaukee
or like Oregon.
Sounds like a Utah.
Utah.
Utah.
You're crazy.
I never knew that.
I never knew that.
Yeah, he was born in Syracuse and then I guess he moved to Texas. Utah. Utah. I never knew that. I never knew that. I never knew that.
Yeah, he was born in Syracuse and then I guess he moved to Texas right after he was born.
I was there for a few years.
Man, I got moved for a better life.
Other than that, it's like, yeah, I see the kids.
I see the kids in school singing the songs.
I mean, everybody still know me for for
who i used to be back home you know my family's still ripping around through there so yeah it's
life man we just i'm still not sure the problem though is sometimes man they want to keep reminding
you that you are not sure like you know they want a little man you know but see i think the good
thing is i don't talk to nobody.
Like even from home.
And it's not that I don't, it's not nothing personal.
But I feel like at the end of the day, like it ain't nothing to really talk about.
Like we can't really see people be 50, 30, 40 years old and they don't got it yet.
And I ain't finna, I don't got time to be teaching nobody how to live a lifestyle that's's right in front of you you know so I don't know could you even tell somebody how to make it somebody asked you right now man yo how do you how do you make it I can give you the blueprint
okay well history don't do nothing but repeat itself so everything that I tell you you know
I mean it's it's stuff that you can just go out there and see anyways like what I'm doing it
what I'm doing right now somebody that already did it you know what I'm I'm saying? Like, this ain't nothing new that I'm doing.
I'm just doing it in a different way.
And that's what people got to understand.
Like, it's nothing wrong with studying the game and mimicking what people do and turning it into your own thing.
Because, like, at the end of the day, that's what history is.
No matter what we do in life, it's some way shape and form it's always somebody who
did it before us like it's too many people in the world i feel like at the end of the day the thing
is just go out there and be yourself and you're gonna come to realize be yourself and be yourself
right do you feel the pressure you know because you you talk about how all the kids that follow
you do you feel that pressure of i gotta be a a role model or i gotta be this way because i know so many young kids i have as fans nah um well it's not
really pressure it's um it's for the better um it's basically like you know uh i had to sit down
and realize lifestyle i was living before a lot of people don't know tootsie for real like not i
ain't even gonna say tootsie a lot of people don't know 2C for real. I ain't even going to say 2C. A lot of people don't know Najor.
Like, I make
the songs about love. I make the songs
for women and all that
shit. But it's like, in reality
it's like I'm from the bottom of the bottom.
You feel me? Like, before I was out here
making these songs about these women, I was
out here doing the same shit y'all niggas was doing.
I was on the same time.
But I had to change it because one, like, my son came around.
And then, two, it's like it wasn't good for me.
It was messing up endorsements, brand deals, like, all type of stuff.
So stuff was getting thrown out the window, and I just had to tighten it up.
At the end of the day, it's like, yeah.
So I feel like it ain't no pressure.
It's just for the better.
All right, we got more with 2C.
When we come back, don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Good morning, everybody. It's DJ for the better. All right, we got more with 2C. When we come back, don't move. It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ MC, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it with 2C.
On this project, it's very, like, it's just very detailed and personal.
Yeah, I'm actually surprised about a lot of things that you mentioned from, like, living in a van, you know, taking care of people, being in touch, you know,
how much you want a relationship with your father.
You being a father yourself,
like, you really unpack a lot of real shit.
And there's a few bars that I wanted to pull
and just kind of have you elaborate on.
This one's more like relationship.
We'll get to the other ones.
But you said, now I'm getting old,
and it feels better talking about my problems
than f***ing out your soul. So it sounds like you went through like a phase with women and now you're kind of
over it and now you got a lot to vent about that's a good bar that's a good bar to pull out
i don't lie i feel like that one gets kicked a little bit um i feel like yeah like as i'm
getting older um you know sex school but i'm mentally drained i i'm at a point where like you know um i type
i type don't mind talking about my problem or like you ever been in the club with somebody
i don't know if you go to the club but you ever been in the club with somebody y'all supposed to
be having a good time and then you get your you get caught up in a good conversation you know
man and it's like i came here for a different reason but somehow some way me and this person just
we having a real real deal conversation about life
you start to get older, though, man, you, man, that shit, you start to realize, like,
these a**es ain't no different for real.
All y'all the same.
Y'all all gonna turn up for a different a**.
Y'all all gonna act different when a different a** come around.
Really?
Yeah, all of y'all, y'all all the same.
I just, okay.
Go ahead, Nala.
He said y'all, that means you too, Nala.
I'm personally attacked.
I don't like that. Not everybody is the same. That means you too, Nala. I'm personally attacked. I don't like that.
Not everybody is the same.
Maybe everybody you're around is the same.
Listen, man.
It's always one in this world that's going to make y'all,
that's going to make that, get y'all butterflies in y'all stomach,
all that type of shit, turn all that shit around.
Yeah, yes, sir.
No, sir.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Yeah, BS the shit in the world, turn all that shit around, man. She treat you like, man, who the no, no, no. Yeah, BS and **** in the world turned all that **** around, man.
I think.
She treats you like, man, ****, who the **** is you talking about?
Hey, who the **** is you talking to?
That **** come around.
Yes, sir.
You know what I mean?
No, hell no.
I don't know why the **** y'all sitting here laughing at that.
Because at the end of the day.
It's kind of true.
I done seen it.
It's about 75% true.
I know you don't love me.
I'm going to tell you.
I'm going to tell you.
I'm going to tell you.
I'm going to tell you.
I'm going to tell you. Feel me? And the'm not thinking the same thing. I'm not saying you're not feeling me.
And the thing is, it's like, I done seen it.
But at the end of the day, it's the same for men as well.
You guys deal with a certain type of women.
You might trick off more on this woman than you do with another woman.
I think it's just about people and character.
Act bad.
Act bad.
She's worth it.
Now, let me tell you.
This s*** is tricking.
I'm just talking about my wife.
Let me tell you.
That's your wife.
Let me tell you the difference. This s*** right here. Y'all's your wife. Let me tell you the difference between men and women, though.
Y'all have standards.
We don't give a ****.
We don't have standards.
That's nasty, and you should.
Listen, it's the 23-year-old mindset.
I understand what you're saying.
Now y'all don't want to agree with that.
If they tell you some of the stories, these **** ain't you.
Listen, I got standards,
but the thing is,
when I was a young nigga out here,
I ain't discriminate.
Big, small, black, white.
Have I not told you this?
If I like you, I like you.
Yes, you nasty.
No, I'm back in the...
That was old, Sean.
Do not put that on that man.
That's the past.
I know, I know.
That's the past.
I'm gonna lie, but yeah, it's like men don't really like, see, y'all hold y'all, that's
why it's like, when it come to women, and y'all like, and a woman f***ing around, y'all
actually, and I hate when women try to act like this is not true.
Y'all actually have to, y'all actually have to have feelings for a n***a in order to cheat.
I'll say this, I'll say this.
No, don't rush past that one. Don't rush past that one. Y'all gotta have feelings for a n***a in order to cheat. I'll say this. I'll say this. No, don't rush past that one.
Don't rush past that one.
Y'all got to have feelings for a n***a to cheat.
Yo, we don't got to have feelings for no female for us to cheat.
I said, the men cheat for ego, women cheat for emo.
And that's what hurts men so much.
I agree.
Emotion.
For emo, yeah.
Emotion.
Emotion.
But that's what hurts men so much because I'm like, this man got into your head.
This man, you got to like this man.
Yo, listen.
I'm telling you, y'all be liking this.
Like, for real.
We don't be liking these girls.
We just, you know what I mean?
We don't be liking these girls.
We just do it just because, yo, and then it's like after you get it off, we feel disgusted.
You feel bad, depressed, guilty guilty i don't even have to
say it you don't think that happens to women also no you don't ever you don't think we ever feel bad
you and daddy ready to go on a date y'all ready you know what i mean you like daddy now you texting
daddy like good morning nah we not texting no good morning no none of that after that it's over
you might not never hear from me again i don't hear from me again like a gender war i'm just saying it's real life no but it's just you just
got to find people and meet them where they're at like it sounds like the people that you meet
and they're just not in a good space man listen ain't nobody in a good space
i'm in a great place listen the whole world messed up yeah i mean what's in it what's a good space
today it wasn't a good space yesterday
And you know what
I'll say this
Because this is one of the questions
Based off your lyrics
Because you're like
Yo what the f*** is love anyway
Yeah
One of the questions
I was going to ask you is
What is love to you now
Love
Because at the end of the day
You had to experience
Yeah love is
You had to experience s***
In order to really figure out
What it is
Love is
Love is when you
You'll put somebody
On a pedestal You put somebody before you.
I feel like that's when you know
you love a person.
You'll put whatever they have
going on in front of you to make them happy
even if it don't make you happy.
I feel like that's what love is.
I don't know if that's what love is.
I see what you're saying.
The reason I say that is because of the conversation we just had with devon franklin he's a pastor
you know saying he was saying how like you know you got it's like you you got to be whole within
yourself and the other person has to be whole within yourself like that person can't complete
you right putting them on a pedestal it's not gonna make you like you shouldn't right if it
don't make you feel better then it's really not the best thing for you
like you said
you gotta do it in order
what did you say
I gotta put her on a pedestal
like putting a person
before yourself
yeah
I don't think that's the way
it's supposed to work
I used to think that
but I don't think
that's part love though
maybe I gotta learn
that's part love though
maybe I gotta learn
I think what you're trying to say
is just the willingness
to compromise
yeah
I think that's part love
but I feel like
I feel like
I feel like even with love though man like nobody would never find out the definition like man you
and you would never know because everybody everybody has their own outlook yeah but you
would put your wife before you and i'm sure you have many times i've had many times 100
that's love that's part of it that's i said that's part of it yeah that's love man all right well
don't move we got more with 2C when we come back.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Have you found love before?
You done f***ed your head up.
I know, right?
Messed you up.
You all over the place now.
You sitting there thinking about everybody right now.
I don't know if I agree with you.
I would not go on a date with Day Day.
Come on, man.
We know what's up, man.
Have you found love before?
You think you found love before?
Have you ever been in love?
Yeah, yeah.
Hell yeah.
I love my baby mama.
Oh. I don't play love my baby mama. Aw.
Aw, I don't play by my baby mama.
I don't lie.
I don't play.
Do you think you're going to be able to be like a family unit?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So she moved on, you wouldn't have a problem with it?
Ain't no moving on.
Uh-uh.
You said in the record, if she does, as long as he treats her right, you're okay with that.
I lied.
I lied.
No. If she does, as long as he treats her right, you're OK with that. I lied. You believe that?
It's the entertainment business.
the.
Was that the way you was feeling at the time?
Hell no, I don't feel it like that.
So why you writing and saying it?
Man, I lied, man.
Ain't no moving on, man.
What the f***?
Yeah, dog.
I thought that was very big of you.
You going to marry her?
Yes.
All right.
Okay.
Yeah, man.
We already met through the Bible.
That's what the Bible say, right?
Through the Bible.
I see you wearing a ring.
I just don't know what thing is.
I can't tell.
No, that's not the wrong one.
Okay, okay.
Got it.
Yeah, this is a little promissory.
Let me clarify that real quick.
Oh, y'all got a promissory ring?
Yeah, a little promissory ring.
What's the promise?
Yeah.
You promise to keep your s*** to yourself.
You got a town on the road.
Yeah, a little promise ring, man.
You know, I can't tell y'all about promise rings.
Y'all gonna be living that be crazy.
You know what I mean?
But nah, yeah, ain't no moving on.
I don't know.
I don't even know why that.
Nah.
Well, it's a nice record.
Yeah, I appreciate it. Hey, I lied about that part, though I don't even know why. No. Well, it's a nice record. Yeah, I appreciate it.
Hey, I lied about that part, though.
Oof.
Got you.
Okay.
Well, on God Love.
You got a boyfriend?
I got.
You got a thing.
I got a thing, yeah.
Isn't this awful?
Hey, hey.
Isn't this awful?
What's wrong with you?
She started stuttering.
Yo.
But I'm from J.D.
That's a I.
Oh, yeah.
She ain't never think nobody was going to answer that question.
But now.
If that woman sees this, she's going to be like, what?
We not drunk. We not dragging you back.
You better get a definitive answer.
Listen, we might cut this out.
Ask the question.
You better get a definitive answer.
You got a boyfriend?
Yo, I ask the question, you answer.
Wow.
I ask the question, you answer.
I'm here.
I'm here.
I just want to make sure I'm not the only one
I can't stand y'all
We hear it

Real life real love
Real life real love
Great book
Make sure y'all go get it
But
You got Wallo
And I love that he's on there
Because I like the little
Motivation
Yeah that's fun
Because it applies
Whether you're going
Through hardship and love
Work career
Whatever it may be
But in it
Is when you really
Talked about how you kind of, like,
fiend for your relationship with your father.
Yeah.
And I just wanted to know, like, what is your relationship with your father like
and how are you implementing, like, what you lacked or didn't like?
I don't want to lie.
That's my best friend.
He a good person.
And he, when I turned, that's who i had moved to south carolina with my dad was
living in goose creek um when i got a certain age you know he moved eyes on um my mom came and got
me and we just you know it was some years where we really ain't had no relationship but at the
end of the day if i ever really needed him i know he always did but like no like, that's my, like, for some reason with me, it's like,
and I just had this conversation with somebody the other day.
When it come to blood, like, a certain type of blood, because blood, like, when it come
to blood, you got friends, and then you got friends that you treat like blood.
But I won't lie, I got some blood that I could never, like, love the same way that I love
my friends, like. And what I mean by that is could never like Love the same way That I love my friends
Like
And what I mean by that is
Like
My brothers and sisters
I love my friends to death
And I look at them
Like brothers and sisters
But my actual
Brothers and sisters
Like my mom kids
We've been together so long
I can't look at
I don't see how
People look at their friends
The same way
That they do their blood
Like
I could never do that
You know what I mean
So
I feel like when it comes to
Like my dad and all of them,
like, it's a special love.
Like, no matter what they do to me, I'm always going to love them.
I definitely got friends.
I treat, like, more family than my actual blood.
Yeah, I don't lie.
But my brothers and sisters, I don't know.
I just can't.
Like, we done been through too much.
I'm talking about full-on family versus family fights.
Like, for real
Bottom of the bottom
I raised my sister kids
While she was in prison for three years
My brother go to jail
We raising his kids
My brother and sister go to jail at one time
Then now it's like
It's me, my older brother
And my sister and my mom
And we trying to figure it out every day
Okay then
You know
Christmas time come around
My sister used to boost
I ain't never used to
go out go without my sister was a booster so that was like i don't know it's a special bond yo like
how close are y'all in age 23 26 27 30 and 32 yeah it's like y'all all kind of in the same age
boy that my own will around i like hearing you talk about your dad because I feel like a lot of times culturally we kind of underestimate the impact of a dad.
Y'all got to meet him, man.
Next interview, man.
I'm going to bring him in here.
He might come in here in like some Coogee jeans or something.
Coogee jeans.
You got to watch the OGs like that, right?
The reason why is they from a different era and they just say wild stuff.
Yeah, nah.
Me and Charlamagne
would never bring our dads
because there's no telling
what they're doing.
Most corner South Carolina.
Yo, that would be great.
I would lie to my dad.
Different, man.
My dad, I would lie to my dad
still think he like
in like G-Unit
and shit like that.
Oh my God.
Yeah, word.
I would lie to my dad.
Yo, my dad throw it off though.
Real, my dad throw it off.
Did y'all always have
a good relationship
or did you have to get to that?
Yeah, that's my n***a.
Okay, okay, okay. Yeah, that's my n***a. Okay,
okay,
okay.
Yeah,
that's my n***a.
I don't play about pops.
So you have a close-knit family
but I know you mentioned
being molested.
Was that within the family
or if you don't want
to talk about it,
it's okay?
Nah,
it wasn't really.
It was like,
it was being a young n***a.
Like me,
dealing with an older woman
and at the time not knowing that was wrong until i got
older charlamagne tell you his story because he was dealt with a similar situation same exact thing
eight years old yeah getting touched on by an older woman thought it was okay i thought actually
i made her stop because i didn't like the smell of her jerry curl but i realized when i was funny but
it's true it's true it's true it's true and when i was young i's funny, but it's true. It's true, though. It's true. It's true. It's true.
And when I was young,
I used to...
You remember those little things
you used to throw the firecrackers
that used to pop?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
At one point,
I just started throwing them at her.
Like, leave me alone.
Because I realized...
It was my body rejecting me,
realizing, like,
yo, this is Shane
supposed to be doing this to me.
That's not right.
But in my mind,
it was I didn't like
the smell of her Jericho.
And I didn't realize
that I got worried
or that I actually was...
So I turned 18.
I was like in my 20s.
Nah, when I turned 18, that was when I found out I wasn't even supposed to be doing that,
like what I was doing.
But I don't know.
It's so weird because it's not like I didn't like it.
Exactly.
I was just.
Lord have mercy.
No, I didn't mean it like that.
But you're saying it.
I should be telling my therapy.
I got to tell people to laugh because when you say Jericho, people always think it's a joke.
Yo, nah, people always think it's a joke.
Because that was like the little Kevin Hart, damn, this shit.
Lord have mercy.
It's confusing, because you do like it.
You like it.
But then you like the same, right?
It's not right.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's it.
But let's get into a song off the top. I know you gotta go do another interview.
Did you ever confront a person?
Nah. Did you, Charlotte?
Do you want to? Nah. Nah.
Nah, because I mean,
I mean, God gonna deal
with that. Like, I ain't know.
Hey, she did it.
We not gonna do that because God gonna
handle it. But it's a pretty common thing.
Like, you don't want anybody to do that to your son.
Nah.
Or to do that to another family member.
Nah, I would never.
I would never want that to happen, but I just.
Something to keep you.
Yeah, it's so.
I get you.
I don't want it to become a big thing.
And we got to change our approach to it.
Because even back then, you know, you tell somebody you was with an older woman, they cheer you on.
Yeah, they like it.
Yeah.
I mean, they like it.
Like, especially for a man.
I mean, for a woman, it's wrong.
But with a man, it's like they look at it like, all right, good job.
That's why I said we got to change our approach.
We got to tell our young sons, I don't have any sons.
I got all daughters.
But, like, that's not right.
That's not right.
You got all daughters?
How many daughters you got?
I was a big ho to some.
Oh, God.
You got four daughters.
Four.
And you guys need to treat yourselves with the same standards that women are expected
to treat themselves with.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We'll practice that narrative.
That's at all of you.
You know me.
Make eye contact
with all of you.
You guys are doing great now.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I got four daughters.
I'm going to acknowledge that.
You were talking to my past, though.
Appreciate it.
But let's get into a song.
What you want to hear
off the album?
Let's hear another love song, man.
All right.
Another love song.
We appreciate you for joining us.
Pick up his new album, Tootsie.
All right, morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Shout out to Tootsie for joining us.
Salute to that guy, Tootsie, man.
Salute to Arnold.
Drop him a cool bounce for Arnold, man.
South Coast music group.
Everything that they building over there from the baby to Toosie, man.
Not even building.
It's built.
It's built.
They got an institution over there.
Numbers is moving.
Absolutely.
All right.
Well, let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk YK Osiris.
Rumor has it.
Rumor.
Rumor has it.
Call out a name or you gossiping or you chatty patty.
I don't gossiping.
This is the rumor report.
I mean, I guess we on The Breakfast Club.
This is where the tea spills, right?
Yes, on the breakfast club.
Now, this was trending yesterday.
Y.K. Osiris, you know him, R&B artist signed to Def Jam.
He was at a crew league basketball game.
That's the same game if you were watching.
I think Little Duval was there.
Funny Marco was there.
A couple of others.
And Sukiana was sitting at the table with all of them.
All of a sudden YK
Osiris comes up behind her starts uh kind of like massaging her shoulders and people are saying he
uh tried to kiss her osiris he was trending
uh there were so many different comments uh how many comments how many times you got to be curved
to get the hit men be treating her a kind of way because her music but that ain't even close to an
excuse uh somebody else said yk osiris is so disgusting for that.
And they're going to have the nerve to go run to men seeking validation after the stunt he pulled.
He like a bald ass annoying kid you want to pluck.
Somebody else said YK Osiris needs to go to jail since when sexual assault is funny.
That weird ass N-word.
Listen, all of those things can be true.
But can I add another thought to this situation? And I't know i'm just throwing this out there what if yk osiris and sukyana actually
have a relationship i don't know if they do but what if i mean what if they were dating or they
made a made a relations before yeah what if they what what if i don't know if they do but what if
you know i mean i know she looked uncomfortable what if she looked uncomfortable because she
don't claim him in public i'm just throwing that out there just so you say this is another thought all of those things
all of those comments that people are saying online could be true but there's also another
thing that could be true they could have a previous relationship because i would hope
uh why k osiris wouldn't just walk up on some young woman he doesn't know or has never met
and you know attempt to kiss him in that way right i would hope and i would hope he would
know better than that and sukiana and why k kill cyrus both haven't said anything after right
there's no post any of them saying anything after that i've seen oh i don't know and i and i do agree
just because uh you know sukhiana makes that kind of music doesn't give any man the right not at all
to do to violate it like her like that in that way but i think that uh in interviews because i
saw them upset about i think it was a candy burris interview or something like that in that way. But I think that in interviews, because I saw them upset about,
I think it was a Candy Burris interview
or something like that.
I think in interviews,
those questions are valid, right?
Because if you got a song about,
if you got a song about eating somebody's,
I can't say that right,
eating somebody's backside.
Yes, if you have a song about,
if you have a song about tossing salad.
Correct, there you go.
Discussing tossing salad in the interview
is fair game. Absolutely. And if your name is Sukiana with the good poom poom. Yeah. song about tossing salad correct there you go discussing tossing salad in the interview is
fair game absolutely and if your name is sukhiana with the good poom poom yeah you're going to be
asked about that in interviews and that shouldn't be a problem that's her name absolutely it should
not be a problem well she she speaks about it with a candy burst i watched you walk in this
mother so you can tell about my walk i can tell by your walk You're cut from Atlanta, Georgia
Camelot Road to be exact
I'll put my face in the you say
Sue me with the good you know I'm saying you time I had good that more mail knowledge
We go to the bank and I can come back you want to smell my I want to I might put my tongue down it
Oh my gosh a1, but we gonna start with the sniffing you are aggressive she love that man look at that
oh i don't you know i mean after like during sex maybe but you know that's not not not right now
you don't mention match i'm here what's up
okay i mean after she says you know she don't want to talk like that, not right now, and you got to back off.
But, you know, it sounded to me like he was performing the same way she's performing in her music.
Yeah.
He's being as explicit as she is in her music.
And if your song is about eating bunkie, people are going to talk to you about eating bunkie when you sit down to have conversations with them in interviews.
Yes.
Yeah, absolutely. going to talk to you about eating bunky when you sit down to have conversations with them in interviews yes yeah absolutely the reason i was the reason i was thinking is if your name is sukiana with the good that's going to be a question people are going to ask about it that's going to
be they're going to ask about it that's what we do with interviews where we talk to you about the
things that you have going on if her name was sukiana the god lover the first question to be about people asking about god If her name was Sukiana the God Lover, the first question would be about people asking about God.
If her name was Sukiana the Cake Eater, they would ask about eating cake.
I mean, cake is another name.
Let's keep it moving.
Now, 50 Cent, it seems like him and Nick Cannon are going back and forth.
Now, they were going back and forth years ago, so I don't know why this came back up.
But Nick Cannon was talking about 50 and him gaining some weight.
It's a date 50 cent again.
She's going to have to fight me for him.
She's going to let that go.
You can fantasize about 50 for 15 years ago.
That's a different 50 than this fat ass walking around now.
I still would get the shit out of him.
I ain't going to lie.
He is fat.
He looks like he got a pack of hot dogs on the back of his neck
i like a little layer of pudge if he's how chocolatey he cute you looking at the pictures
from uh get rich or die trying i like now it's get thick or die frying
nick just has to know one day he gonna wake up may not be, may not be the day after might be in February or next year
one day he's just going to wake up and 50
just going to be going in on Instagram
and you don't know why
everybody's going to forget why
but Curtis Jackson, that petty cancer
is not going to forget
so 50 said, people are thinking this is a
response to him, he says if your marketing campaign
is saying something about 50
you're not going to make it.
Have a nice day.
The final lap to Branson Cognac.
The ill thing about 50 that we all know is 50 ain't promoting nothing right now.
No.
So he's not about to waste.
He's not about to waste no energy on Nick Cannon right now.
But soon as the new TV show comes out.
Something comes out.
He just built a new studio.
That's right.
In Treesport. Yeah, that's right. something comes out. He just built a new studio. That's right. In Treesport.
Yeah, it's coming.
He got some new flicks.
Nick will be part of the marketing campaign in the rollout.
Absolutely.
But I'm sure Nick knows that, though.
Yeah.
Hey, Nick know what he doing.
All right.
Well, that is your rumor report.
Now, Solomon, who you giving that down?
Katu?
Man, four after the hour.
I need Demi Lovato and all the days to come to the front of the congregation because we
would like to have a word with you.
Okay? Y'all not going to
leave us out here confused. No, no, no, no,
no. That is not going to happen this morning.
Alright. Alright. Well, we'll get to that next.
It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.

Did she get donkey in the name please, Debbie?
Absolutely.
I have become donkey
Of the day
At the breakfast club, bitch
You're a donkey
Yeah, it's donkey today
For Wednesday, June 14th
Let me make sure it's June 14th
Yes, it is
Goes to Demi Lovato
Let the record show
I don't know Demi Lovato
But I respect her
Mental health advocacy
I respect her being open
About her bipolar disorder
Her drug addiction
And using her own
Personal experiences To help others seek healing.
So, Demi Lovato, thank you for your service.
But Donkey of the Day does not discriminate.
And Demi said something recently in an interview with GQ Spain that grinded my gears.
Oh, boy.
That I simply don't appreciate.
See, for the last few years, we've all been playing this hot potato pronoun game.
Okay, why do I call it a hot potato pronoun game?
Because it feels like a game of hot potato.
You remember hot potato, right?
Yes, that's right.
You know, we're showing our age.
Hot potato is a game that involves players gathering in a circle and tossing a small object, maybe a ball or a beanbag.
Hell, sometimes even a real potato to each other while music plays.
The player who is holding the object when the music stops is eliminated.
Keyword eliminated. while music plays the player who is holding the object when the music stops is eliminated keyword eliminated and that's exactly what it feels like when you are trying to live in this new world where folks want to be called by their proper pronoun just literally like a game of hot
potato because in a game of hot potato you have to move fast get the hot get the object out of
your hand quickly okay but in this new world i could be looking at a person that is a man
and refer to them as he.
Then someone will get mad at me and tell me I'm misgendering the person because their pronoun is her.
And by the time I get to say her, I get told it's she.
Then I get told it's they.
Now the music stops and I'm labeled a misgenderer and now I'm eliminated.
They have been doing this to us for a few years now.
And remember a couple of years ago, Demi Lovato decided to adjust her pronouns.
Let's listen.
I want to take this moment to share something very personal with you.
Over the past year and a half, I've been doing some healing and self-reflective work.
And through this work, I've had the revelation that I identify as non-binary. I'll officially be changing my pronouns to they, them. I feel that this best represents the fluidity I feel
in my gender expression and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am and still am discovering. I want to make it clear that I'm still learning
and coming into myself and I don't claim to be an expert or a spokesperson. I will also be accepting
if people slip and say her, she, because I know that being in my position it's going to take a while for people to
get used to i just want them to be making the effort i respect it okay even though they is so
confusing when you're discussing one person okay i'm at the point when i see they i have to ask how
many people in your party when they reply party of one i already know what it is okay but demi
lovato has adjusted her pronouns all right she has actually re-added she her back to her pronouns and her reasoning might confuse you more
than the pronouns do see demi told uh gq spain and i'm gonna read it uh that let me read the
whole quote uh i constantly had to educate people and explain why i identified why i identified with
those pronouns it was absolutely exhausting.
I just got tired.
But for that very reason,
I know that it is important to continue spreading the word.
So Demi added she heard back
because she finds it absolutely exhausting.
She says she just got tired of explaining to others
why they changed their pronouns in the first place.
Demi, I bet it is exhausting, but I promise you, you're not as tired as us.
OK, when I say us, I'm talking about people of all races, ages, religions, genders, sexualities.
I've had conversations with numerous people about this for years and we've been tired.
We've been exhausted. And this is why we always after the confusion got upset, because we knew, you know, y'all didn't know what y'all was talking about.
OK, confusion begets confusion. Exhaustion begets exhaustion.
I can only speak for myself on this, but I'm never trying to offend anyone by misgendering them.
OK, I simply did not know. And I'm sure there is plenty of people who simply do not know.
But when we would ask, y'all would get upset and then we would just assume.
Then we would just assume y'all would get upset and then we would just assume then when we would just assume y'all would get upset and then when we called y'all by the wrong pronouns not purposely just because my eyes are
saying you know this is a he but you identify as a she then y'all get upset and then we ask
to be taught and y'all get upset if i look at michael jackson and say he he y'all get upset
okay i promise you demi nothing is more exhausting than that.
All right. If I was to say what you told GQ Spain in regards to not even wanting to learn about pronouns, it would be folks fake outrage trying to cancel me.
Imagine me saying right now it is absolutely exhausting to keep up with people's pronouns.
I'm tired of keeping up with people's pronouns. That sentence alone to a publication would cause backlash from digital D heads on social media but guess what Demi she
said the quiet part out loud it is absolutely exhausting on all counts I'm
sure it's absolutely exhausting for her to have to explain and it's absolutely
exhausting for us to learn and how we supposed to learn if the so-called
teachers are tired I can't care about this more than you do, or they do, or them do.
Now I have to doo-doo.
Please give Demi Lovato the biggest e-haw.
No, I really do have to go doo-doo.
I'm, you know, I'm very regular.
Are you confused?
I am.
Are you tired?
No.
I thought, as a kid, they referred to two or more.
That's why I say whenever I see the word they, I ask how many people in your party.
If you tell me party in one, I already know what time it is.
What time is it?
That means that it's somebody who wants to be referred to as they.
Those 810.
Shut up, man.
It's time for us to go.
All right?
The credits are rolling on BET.
All right, BET.
That's what time it is.
See y'all tomorrow, man.
BET, we'll see y'all tomorrow.
Everybody else, man, when we come back,
Callie will be joining us.
She's an artist.
She's from California.
She moved to Georgia,
and we're going to talk to her next.
So do we call them a they, her, she?
You call her them, they, she, and her next. So do we call Demi a they, her, she? You call her them, they, she, and her now.
What do we call you?
Oh, my pronoun is this.
My wife's pronoun is that.
You're that.
Well, no, I'm this.
My wife is that.
You can get with this?
You can get with that.
That's right.
Actually, I don't know if I should have gave a hee-haw or a shee-haw now that I think about it.
You have a shee-haw?
This is stupid. This is stupid.
This is stupid.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
They-haw.
They-haw.
They-haw.
They-haw.
All right.
When we come back, Cali will be joining us.
I'm sorry, y'all.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Come on.
I'm not.
The Breakfast Club.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Of course, Nyla is here with us today.
Yes.
And we got a special guest in the building.
Toxic Chocolate.
Her name is Callie, sir.
I know.
Callie, ladies and gentlemen, welcome.
Hey, what's going on?
How you feeling?
I feel good.
I feel good.
How y'all feeling?
Bless Black and Holly, favorite.
Do you get that a lot?
Do people just scream, Toxic Chocolate?
Like sexual chocolate?
No.
Oh, okay.
You're the first.
She's 22 years old, sir.
She probably don't even know
what you're talking about.
You know what he's talking about?
Sexual chocolate?
No.
Wow.
I told you.
Wow.
Oh, yes, I do.
Yes, I do.
Yes, I do.
Don't worry about it.
That's all right.
That's all right.
He was born in the 1900s.
That's right.
Don't even worry about it.
That's okay.
Don't even worry about it. Well, let's start. Your name is Call 1900s. That's right. Don't even worry about it. That's okay. Don't even worry about it.
Well, let's start with, your name is Callie, but you're not from Callie.
You're from Georgia, because most people think originally Callie, correct?
Yeah, but I was born in Callie, but I grew up in Atlanta, yeah.
Why the three I's on it?
Why is it spelled the way it's spelled?
Because you got to say, like, Callie.
Callie.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, like, it's like a sexy vibe going on.
Got you.
Got you.
Got you.
Yeah. I wanted to do, like, the back before we get into the I'm sorry all right so what got you into music that's what we usually start okay well
um my mom's ex-husband he was a producer so I would always be in the house like listening to
him make beats and dope beats or they were just I mean I was younger so I was like eight so they
was cool to me all right it was dope for me to see that um and he was younger, so I was like eight. So they was cool to me. All right, all right, all right. It was dope for me to see that.
And he was just, he would help me like write songs
and just like get into recording and things like that.
Did you ever do anything over your,
you said your mom's boyfriend beats?
Who was it?
Her ex-husband.
Ex-husband, did you ever do any?
Yeah, I got like a CD.
I gotta find it, but I got a CD.
It was like five songs, and I recorded it.
It didn't go nowhere.
None of the songs were too long.
They used to make beats?
No, you don't speak to them anymore.
Oh, we don't speak to him no more.
So what if you heard a beat now, and it was fire,
but then you found out it was from him?
Would you take it?
No.
Damn.
No.
Damn.
It's my mama.
True.
Love that.
You got to pick a side
Yeah
Well, the first single that really took off for you was definitely
What was the inspo for that record?
So I was in the studio with ATL Jacob
And I had just like got this buzz going on
And I was in Miami, I wanted to be outside
I didn't want to be in the studio all day
Like we had been there all day
I'm like, you do this, but like I need a break and he was like no you're gonna sit here
you're gonna write this song and I just kept saying yeah and so he was playing
a beat and I'm like hmm let me just say because that's genuinely how I was
feeling like I'm like I gotta go yeah it is a hit yeah god I was like dang I hope people like
know what I'm saying like get that I mean no like hell no yeah we know it
me clear on that you was on the cover of double XL 22 yeah freshman class right
that still help people's career like you used to yeah I mean for me it wasn't
like I hope this helps my career it was just like it was a personal goal for me like it made me feel like i'm in the rap game like i'm doing something you know
yeah true is it very difficult being a woman in the rap industry because a lot of women always
say that that people don't take them serious a lot of times even producers they feel like they
want something more than that do you face that as well i mean yeah i get i hear all the time like
we sound the same you know we talk about the same things, all of that stuff.
But that's not helping me paying attention to that.
So, like, I just try my best to stay away from that.
Yeah.
What does toxic chocolate mean?
Well, my friends tell me I'm toxic, even though I'd be like, I'm not toxic.
Like, they'd be like, Callie, you're toxic.
Most toxic people don't know they're toxic.
They always say they're not toxic.
I've been telling stories, and I'd be like, you know, I was the problem, da-da-da.
And they were just looking at me like, girl.
Tell us what the story is.
Toxic Tales by Kelly.
Tell us some stories.
I've been on this earth for a little while.
No, I
tend to like
make everybody feel like special.
Like if you like just somebody I'm talking to
like, I don't know.
And then I go to the same story.
That ain't even the best.
It's not.
It's not.
Tell us now.
Cause she don't want to tell us.
Talk about the PlayStation.
What you do to the PlayStation?
Talk about the PlayStation.
What you do to the PlayStation?
You bought one PlayStation,
gave it to somebody,
took it back and then gave it to another person.
Worse.
Worse.
I had got this,
I had got this guy a PlayStation.
Like I,
it was before I was making money and stuff I
saved up everything and I got him a PlayStation and I later on I found out that he got he got
money from another girl to get the PlayStation 2 so I went over there and I took the PlayStation
back I was driving around the city he was following he was following me at the PlayStation
in the trunk yes he was like trying to look on riding around the city with me and my friend like looking for the PlayStation
And so we like ducked off at this Popeyes and we were sitting inside like this the parking lot eating just chilling
And he called my manager
He called my manager was like she got my PlayStation like she needed to give it back come home that I like stuff like that
So I just I went I went back and I threw the playstation I stepped on it
and I kicked his car
I did a bunch of stuff
that's a little toxic
I'm not gonna lie
you worse than future
that's how toxic you are
alright
don't drag me
I'm not gonna lie
don't drag me
I'm not gonna lie
but what was this
this was like a long time ago
yeah
this was like
this was like
two months ago
that's the equivalent
that's the equivalent of a man knowing you got a show the next day
and coming in your room and just cutting up all your wigs.
No, but how was I wrong?
He had another, you know what?
It's another girl gave him money for it.
Respect that man's hustle.
He's an entrepreneur.
Absolutely not.
I'm not that.
Shut up, bitch.
Absolutely not.
You're not going to play me out my hard work and money.
Give me that back.
I need that.
I'm not that. Wow. A little toxic. The kicking of the car. That was just like me out. My hard work and money. Give me that back. I need that. I'm not that bad.
Wow.
A little toxic.
The kicking of the car.
That was just like a bonus.
He just loved his car.
And he had just got it wrapped.
So I feel like my footprint just needed to be there.
Next time, use eggs.
Wow.
You're encouraging the toxic behavior?
What the hell is going on?
I know, Callie, you're entering a new era.
Toxic chocolate is going to be a thing of the past.
Yes, it will.
And you're entering your soft girl era.
Charlamagne's in his soft boy era right now.
That's right.
He's in his soft girl era.
It's weird that women don't know whether they want to be future or summer walking now.
It's so strange to me.
You have to go through a phase.
The toxic stuff gets like, you know, you get tired of that sometimes.
She said, it's too expensive.
I'm just paying for PlayStations and breaking them.
Damn.
No, it's not even that. It's just just the energy like giving your energy towards stuff like that it
just be like it is expensive your energy is definitely expensive and i i got tired of that
energy so you're not like that anymore dating you if it's all no why you put your lips like that
she don't know if she not like that anymore i try't know if she not like that anymore. I try, like, I'm just, I'm chilling.
Like, you know, so I don't get like that.
Just focusing on, you know, what I got going on.
What does the soft girl era look like for Callie?
It just looks like me focusing on my music and not giving nobody no energy.
Like, not dating too much, you know, just staying in my own bubble.
That's soft for me.
Because these men, mm- these men they'll take you out
yeah i know we're talking about dating we're talking about career before
how are you balancing the two i just i'm staying away from the dating really i'm trying to be
yeah i'm just i'm trying to focus on you know area codes is going up real bad
so i'm just focusing on making that you know you know area codes is going up real bad so I'm just focusing
on making that
you know
riding that wave right now
did your mom want you
to be in the industry
especially since she dated
somebody that was in the industry
or she didn't care
I mean she didn't really care
until she started hearing
what I was talking about
and she was like
girl what is you saying
now she know every word
how was that conversation
she thought you was lying
no she was just like,
are you sure that's what,
like, you want to be talking about that
and stuff like that?
I'd be like, I said, girl, I got this.
And then, now she know every word.
And she had the shows just turning up.
And that's funny as hell.
More parents would call their kids out
for lying in their raps.
The world would be a better place, man.
We not, I wasn't lying.
Well, not you.
I'm just talking about, like, these guys
that be talking about all the violence
and all the drugs they sold. Like, man, you was home. You know. I wasn't lying. Well, not you. I'm just talking about these guys that be talking about all the violence and all the drugs they
sold.
Like, man, you was home.
You know what I mean?
Exactly.
Like, where you was at?
Under my roof.
All right, we got more with Callie.
When we come back, don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it with Callie, rap artist, Charlamagne.
And area codes.
Now, is it true you didn't know that that was Ludacris who made that version
of area codes for us?
Yeah,
I did.
I didn't know actually.
And when I found out
is when I was shooting
the video to it,
like my team was like,
do you want to like go
with the Ludacris like vibe?
And I was like,
what are you talking about?
Like,
and then they showed me.
So you had no clue?
No,
I had no clue
until obviously people
started,
you know,
telling me, but people was like, well, you oh you should have known cuz you know I never said I
didn't know ludicrous I just didn't know that specific song you know what I'm
saying and I was born in 2000 like I'm 22 I had some I had a debate with some
hip-hop snobs about that cuz I was like yo she was born and like I asked I what
year was she born is like I think I said oh one I don't like that song came out
in old one yeah why would she, that song came out in 01.
Yeah.
Why would she know that record?
And, you know,
people were saying that,
like, you do your history
and stuff like that.
But I didn't grow up,
my mom didn't play that
in the house with me.
You know, I know
ludicrous songs,
like, you know,
shout out to him,
but I just didn't know
that specific one.
Yeah.
Did you speak to him?
Did you meet him?
Get a chance to meet him?
We haven't talked yet,
but I'm sure we will.
Yeah.
So is your song about hoes?
I mean, I heard the song, but I just assumed it was about you having different hoes.
Yeah.
And different eras of hoes.
It's the same thing.
Yeah.
See?
History repeats itself.
Do you really have a white boy in your roster?
I'm manifesting a white boy.
Dr. Umar.
Get Dr. Umar on the goddamn line right now.
No, you will not be chocolate.
You cannot be chocolate anything and have a white man.
I want to be fed
pasta and lobster.
So you never dated
a white boy?
No, I haven't dated
a white boy, but I mean,
it was just a song.
I feel like people
could relate to it.
It's probably a girl
who has a white boy
on her roster.
But would you date
a white boy?
It depends.
No.
He said, oh, who?
You got too much melanin
for that.
Don't do that.
Oh, what?
What does it depend on?
The vibe, you know, like, it has to be like this. You just gonna give all that good melanin to your oppress't do that or what what does it depend on the vibe you know
like
you just gonna give
all that good melanin
to your oppressor
oh my god
don't make it
no more deep
oh my god
no it just depends
like I don't know
you gotta be
you gotta be handsome
and like you know
you need swag
yeah
you need swag
okay
yeah
you're handsome
for a certain time
once they get past 40
I'm sorry
go on go ahead get you one see what happens well I know you did area core remixes for a certain time. Once they get past 40. I'm sorry.
Go on.
Go ahead.
Get you one.
See what happens.
Well, I know you did area code remixes
with artists
in different regions
like Kenzo B out here
to Lil Tyler in Florida.
Are you going to get
Luda on a remix?
I feel like we need
to get that done.
I mean, when we talk
and I can bring it up to him
and have a conversation
with him, I'll be down.
Yeah.
That'd be a cool
full circle moment.
That'd be dope. Yeah, absolutely. Did you listen to the original have a conversation with him. I'd be down. Yeah. That'd be a cool full circle moment. That'd be dope.
Yeah, absolutely.
Did you listen to the original after they put you on?
I did.
I did.
What'd you think about it?
It's dope.
It sounds good.
You know, we both thought of, you know, I got hos in different area.
And nobody in the studio while you was recording?
I don't record with a lot of people in the studio.
Like, it's usually just me and my engineer.
And he's very quiet.
Like, he don't say anything to me. So, I didn't find out till i was about to shoot the video i do wonder
what's the energy in the air that's making i guess it seems like this is the year of the woman
yeah hip-hop i love it how does it feel to be a part of that it feels really good i feel like
we're like taking over and every time i said i was telling somebody i was like um every time you think about a song
that's going up it's always a female now like i love to be a part of that you know just even being
in the conversation it's dope because at one point it felt like only one female could win or like be
up at one point now it's like it's a new female artist every day and i love i love that the fact
that women are working with each other you know because like you said at one time it was can only
be one so that one is battling this one but now it seems that women are working with each other. You know what I mean? Because like you said, at one time, it could only be one.
So that one is battling this one.
But now it seems like everybody's working with each other.
But I thought it was really dope.
Yeah.
And something I love about you is your look.
Very distinct.
You got the locks.
You're embracing that.
What makes you want to have locks in an era of, like, weaves and lace fronts?
It's all I know.
I had locks for 16 years.
Like, I tried to put a wig on.
I'm sure you've seen that.
And it just didn't work for me. Like sure you've seen that and it just didn't work
for me like all these all this hair under that wig just didn't work but it's really all i know
like i just grew up already having it i don't know how to do my hair for real only only locks
and it's just i feel like it makes me who i am like people know callie with the locks you know
so i don't want to change that yet you and you you gonna be out here with dreadlocks and a white man on your arm you think that would I and I said it
depends that's about a Latino or Asian person to know I'm asking about a black
man oh oh I asked about you need be with another dread okay the dread has be She said she's taking a break because Ariel Cove is going up. That's where she's at right now.
The Dre heads be toxic.
You had a couple of those already, huh?
Kind of.
Damn.
What is the Cali project going to sound like?
What is it, an album?
Is it going to be an EP? It's an EP.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, so the EP is called
Toxic Girls Need Love Too.
Toxic Girls Need Love Too.
We need love too from black men there you go
black men are out here going to therapy we're doing the work on ourselves that's what that's
what toxic girls need love too it's like i was going through my toxic phase then i like accidentally
like fell in love vibes and then you accidentally fell in love yeah then what happened it didn't
work out so that's kind of like it's like that
little transition from toxic and then realizing like i need to heal and i need to figure out
myself and like you know be outside and just focus on me did it not work because of you
with like because the area was up why you say that no it was kind of a mutual thing.
Like, you know, we just both need to focus on ourselves.
Yeah, he'll go to therapy.
Do you ever think to yourself, this man is too good for me?
What?
Absolutely not.
Damn.
I'd be too good for them.
Damn.
Every time?
You never let a good one get away?
You never let a good one get away? You never let a good one get away?
I mean, my last one, he was
cool, but I don't think like that.
Don't fall for this trap
because he be trying to tell me.
What happened with the young man?
Why? We both was a little toxic.
We needed to go several
ways, figure ourselves out, what we wanted from
a relationship.
That wasn't a PlayStation one one no absolutely not but you i mean now at this point you know with
everything taking off for you personal like you really don't have time for really don't yeah yeah
really don't and that's that's kind of the point i was like getting out with him it's like we don't
really have time for this right now you know just it's real, come back, double back.
When it does slow down and you're just a random Saturday,
you're at home, you're kicking it,
you just call somebody, say what you're doing,
and send them a text?
Absolutely not.
I'd just be chilling.
Damn.
Jesus Christ.
What is going on?
You're making me feel toxic.
I feel like I'm doing good.
She's done a lot better.
I am doing real good. That time when I'm bored, I'm not making nobody feel like i'm doing good i should have done a lot better no you're doing real good
i'm just that time when i'm bored i'm not making nobody feel like they special true true you did
that already yeah made too many people feel like this place broke too many hearts yeah damn i i
wreck i recognize i'm taking the counter that's it that's all well i love it i love to see the
growth so soft girl era or toxic girls need
love to come and soon yeah is that that feels like fall vibes not summer vibes but i got some
summer jams on there too it's like yeah towards the end of summer vibe okay yeah i'm looking
forward to it this is a disgusting conversation because nyla said this is fall vibes because you
know they like to be outside
in the summer.
Of course.
But when the fall comes
and the winter comes
they want to be cuddled
and all that.
Oh my God.
Just to break their heart
again before Valentine's Day.
I feel like that's more
men though.
They do that.
Like, oh they want to be
outside during the summertime
and then come be in your face
during the fall.
Yeah, Charlamagne does
this thing where he projects
all the dirty things
that men do on women
and then try to hold us accountable.
I don't know what dirty things men do.
What dirty things do we do?
Look in the mirror.
I am happily married, ma'am.
What are you talking about?
I was going to say,
it looked like your past was crazy.
Why are we looking back there?
Why are we looking back there?
You had some hoes on your roster.
Why are we looking back there? That's the problem. Why are we looking back there? You had some hoes on your roster. Why are we looking back there?
That's the problem.
Why are we looking back there?
What about the future?
All of this other stuff.
We're looking back there.
You're talking about women want to be outside.
That's the past.
That's the past.
Yes.
It was nice meeting you, Callie.
It was great.
I can't wait to see you.
I can't wait to see you.
All right.
It's The Breakfast Club on BET.
The Breakfast Club.
Good morning, everybody. It's The Breakfast Club on BET. The Breakfast Club.
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk Shannon Sharp.
Rumor has it. Rumor. Rumor has it.
Call out her name or you gossiping or you chatty patty.
I am gossiping.
This is The Rumor Report.
I mean, I guess we on The Breakfast Club. This is where the tea spills, right?
Yes. On the Breakfast Club. This is where the tea spills, right? Yes, on the Breakfast Club.
Now, after seven years, Shannon Sharpe said
goodbye to Undisputed.
He's partnered up with Skip Bayless for the last
seven years, and yesterday he teared
up a little bit. Fans that made
all this possible, you've embraced
me and allowed me to become your
favorite TV uncle.
And for that, I'm forever grateful.
Hopefully you found me entertaining.
Hopefully you find me educational.
Hopefully you found all the things that I gave you that you looked for when you came and you turned in and you watched me and this man for seven years.
And last but not least, Skip Bayless.
You fought for me, brother.
Did I?
I'm here because of you.
You've allowed me to share the stage with you. You've allowed me to share the stage with you.
You've allowed me to share the platform.
I'm going to cry in the car, but I'm not going to cry now.
The opportunity that you gave me to become what I became, I'm forever indebted to you.
I'll never forget what you did for me.
You've helped me grow more than you ever know.
All I ask is when you lay your head on that pillow at night, you know I gave you everything I had.
You did.
I gave you everything I had.
Which is why I want to thank you.
Damn, you got to pause that.
When you lay my head on that pillow at night,
just know I gave you everything I had.
God damn.
Jesus.
Pause, Unc.
That's kinky.
But now you're right, though.
I mean, without that platform, you know,
Shannon Sharp doesn't have the voice that he has in culture today.
So, yeah, salute to Shannon Sharp.
Club Shea Shea is popping.
And I'm sure he'll end up somewhere else once that non-compete is up.
I'm sure he's under a non-compete because I'm pretty sure Fox gave him that bag.
Yeah.
You know, but he's probably under a non-compete for a little while.
But when it's up, he'll be good.
Yeah, Club Shea Shea will be good money until he, you know, until he figures out what he wants to do next.
Until he pops up where he goes.
Yeah, he has the end.
Or wherever he goes. I should say he goes now also Tory Lanez.
He was supposed to be sentenced a couple of times, but now it's been delayed to August 7th.
Now, a sentence is originally planned for Tuesday was delayed at the request of Tory Lanez attorney.
We have until August 1st to submit a sentencing recommendation.
Now, prosecutors are recommending 13 years in state prison.
Now, if you don't know,
that's for a couple of charges.
One is assault with a semiotic handgun,
carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm
in a vehicle,
and discharging a firearm
with a gross negligence.
Well, what are you supposed to say?
When is the next case?
August 7th is the new sentencing date.
August 7th. All right.encing date. August 7th.
Alright.
Yeah, so we'll see what happens with that. We'll discuss after he gets sentenced. Yeah, he was trying to get
an appeal, but it doesn't look like the appeal is going to happen.
So we'll see what happens. And I'm sure
I think that if he does, then I think
he'll get sent back to Canada, right?
He won't be able to come back to the United States. After he does
his time. After he does his time. He'll do his time, then they deport you.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So as we find do his time, then they deport you. Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
So as we find out more information,
we'll definitely let you know.
And that is your rumor report.
All right.

There's a freedom in that.
It is a great amount of vulnerability.
I did this record called Dirty Laundry.
And I remember the dream was like, I stopped singing the song after I'd started.
And he just let the track play. He's like, you gonna sing the song after I'd started. And he just let the track play.
He's like, you gonna sing through that.
I love that.
And I did.
But P.S., it took me two days to get it out.
But it was one of the best things that ever could happen for me.
So I must say, I am so ready to hear this.
Me too.
Should we get into it?
Let's do it.

You know, today is Donald Trump's birthday and Gunna's birthday.
What is the correlation?
It is now.
I just seen it on the sheet, and I was just like, wow, it's Donald Trump's birthday and Gunner's birthday.
Donald Trump is definitely a Gemini.
I'm going to be honest with you, I could care less.
I could care less that it's Donald Trump's birthday.
How do you celebrate your birthday?
I was driving in Jersey yesterday, and I saw a big sign that said,
Happy Second Indictment Day or Happy Second Arrest Day or something like that.
I actually took a picture of it.
I was impressed that I could take a picture while driving.
But somebody paid for that.
No, you know how people stand on this.
Let me show you the picture.
You know, people stand on the bridge.
Oh, do that a sign.
Yeah.
Oh, I got a bunch of people, though.
It said happy second indictment day.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
You know what I said?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I know exactly.
Happy second indictment day.
But yeah, I could care less about Trump's birthday.
All right.
Well, when we come back, we got the positive note.
Don't move.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
And, Charlamagne, you really into this soft boy movement, huh?
First of all, I entered into my soft boy era a couple of years ago.
I'm actually in my soft girl era as well
because i'm 50 man 50 woman that's just the ingredients that makes us and yes i just want
peace yeah the other day my wife went to get her nails done and i you know i met her at the nail
salon and she was like you know who i seen here i was like who she was like charlamagne you know i
said i said was he with his daughters she was like no, no. I said, was he with his wife?
She was like,
no.
He was there by himself
getting his feet done
and his nails done.
I said,
he's in his soft boy era.
I've been getting manicures
and pedicures,
but me and my wife
and my oldest daughter,
she don't like that nail salon.
I like that nail salon.
They show me mad love
when I go in there.
They do.
Them Asians be showing me
mad love.
I see you on TV. You know what I mean? They show me mad love when I go in there. They do. Them Asians be showing me mad love. I see you on TV.
You know what I mean?
They show me mad love, you know?
They call me Lenard.
They do.
I get mad love in there.
Yo, that is funny.
But my wife don't like the way they do her nails.
So she don't go there no more.
She goes to another spot.
I like it in there.
That's funny.
When I walked in there, they was like, I know who you are.
I know who you are.
I'm like, what the hell is going on?
They show me, yo, salute to the Asians.
I'm not going to name the spot.
No, don't name the spot.
But they show us mad loving them.
And that's when I was shocked.
That's when I'm like, yo, you really don't know who be listening and who be paying attention.
That's right.
I've been going there for a while.
I've been going there for a couple of years, actually.
Wow.
All right.
Well, stay in your soft boy era, bro.
I tipped them so well.
They listen to the radio.
That's why they know who you are.
No, they listen to the radio.
They watch TV.
I done signed books for them in there.
I'm like, and they Asian-y.
Yeah, they are.
Like, no, for real.
Like, like, like.
They're Asian.
Like, yeah.
Like, barely speak English.
I was going to say, yeah, barely speak English.
Yeah, absolutely.
Yes.
All right, well, leave us on a positive note.
Oh, the positive note is this, man.
Don't be afraid to be confused, okay?
This is a quote from George Saunders, all right?
Don't be afraid to be confused.
Try to remain permanently confused.
Anything is possible.
Stay open forever.
So open that it hurts and then open up some more.
Stay open until you day to die.
Stay open until the day you die, okay?
Okay.
Breakfast Club, bitches!
You all finished or y'all done?
