Starting point is 00:00:00 Had enough of this country? Ever dreamt about starting your own? I planted the flag. This is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Or maybe not. No country willingly gives up their territory. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:00:16 What is that? Bullets. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. We need help! That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey guys, I'm Kate Max. You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast
Starting point is 00:00:46 Post Run High is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's Teresa, your resident ghost host. And do I have a treat for you. Haunting is crawling out from the shadows, and it's going to be devilishly good. We've got chills, thrills, and stories that'll make you wish the lights stayed on. So join me, won't you?
Starting point is 00:01:58 Let's dive into the eerie unknown together. Sleep tight, if you can. Listen to Haunting on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Daphne Caruana Galizia was a Maltese investigative journalist who on October 16th, 2017, was assassinated. Crooks everywhere unearthed the plot to murder a one-woman WikiLeaks. She exposed the culture of crime and corruption that were turning her beloved country into a mafia state.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Listen to Crooks everywhere on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Good morning, USA! Hey, what's happening? Yes, it's Friday. The weekend is here. Good morning. Oh, man. Your connection is a little crazy. Not crazy, but when you talk a certain way, it's like feedback a little bit. Can you hear me now? Is it better now?
Starting point is 00:03:16 I guess it's the way you open your mouth. When you open your mouth a certain way, it does something to the mic, Henry. Okay. We're not going to have mouth talk this morning. Let's leave the mouth side of it. What are you talking? Yo, you got to stop this, okay? And anyway, it's Freaky, Freaky, Freaky Friday!
Starting point is 00:03:34 Well, it is Friday. Good morning to everybody out there. How was your evening yesterday? I'm out in Detroit. So, you know, I have a strain of cannabis that was released out here. And I've been going to a lot of the dispensaries, you know, dropping the strain off. So yesterday I stopped by Sticky, the
Starting point is 00:03:51 Flower Bowl, shout to them. And then today I'm going by Herbology, House of Dank, and Jars. So, you know, in Michigan, recreation cannabis is legal, but in Detroit it's not legal yet. It's only medicinal. So we'll be going to the outskirts of Michigan and also Detroit. So I'm excited about that.
Starting point is 00:04:09 I'm learning about the cannabis industry, huh? I mean, I'm not the most savvy with that type of stuff, but why is it legal in the whole state except for in the city of Detroit? Because each, I guess, each city or each county can decide what they want to do, and Detroit hasn't legalized it yet only medicinal so hopefully they're saying in the next 30 days it will be legal uh medicinal because there's a lot of uh i would say minority uh cannabis owners that are suffering right now because they can't sell recreation so all the medicinal places which
Starting point is 00:04:40 on the outskirts making a lot of money so i've been driving around talking to them and just just learning about the industry because the industry is very interesting. So shout-out again to all the dispensaries out there, and I'll see you guys later on today. Good morning. Can you hear me? Hey, now we can hear you. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:04:55 All right. Perfect. Y'all fixed it. We fixed it. There you go. Now what you guys up to? I'm in Atlanta right now. I have to film something for Revolt, a show they have called Bed on Black.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Okay. I'll be in Atlanta actually later because I'll be at the HBUC located at the Met 680 Murphy Avenue from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Stacey Abrams is having a conversation. The title of the conversation is Unfinished Business, and it's myself, Attorney Francis Johnson, and the good brother, 21 Savage. So I'll be in Atlanta for a few today. Now, Mono, the person that
Starting point is 00:05:33 taught me how to DJ, I always say Clue introduced me to DJ, but he taught me how. I think he's actually DJing out of it. Yeah, Mono. Oh, Mono's in Atlanta? Yeah, Mono's in Atlanta. He moved to Atlanta about, I would say about seven years ago, eight years ago, so he'll be DJing it. Okay, yeah. It's free food, it's free
Starting point is 00:05:49 drinks, free admission. So see you later at the HBCU located at the Met. All right, from 7pm to 9pm. What did I say? You said HBCU. I know that's what you wanted to say. Yeah, H-B-U-C. You know I'm slightly dyslexic, y'all. H-B-U-C. Yes. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Well, we got some special guests joining us this morning. We got Brandon Marshall and Pac-Man Jones. They'll be stopping through. From the I Am Athlete podcast, one of the best podcasts to listen to. Man, I'm going to tell you something, man. The sports guys, the guys that used to play sports like Matt Barnes, Steven Jackson, all the smoking basketball, Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, Channing Crowder with the pivot, Brandon Marshall, Pac-Man Jones.
Starting point is 00:06:26 And Shady McCoy with the I Am Athlete podcast. Some of the best content you can listen to, man. So I can't wait to talk to those brothers. They got a live show in New York City tomorrow at the winery, right? The winery, yep. Yep. Yep, yep. And also the legend, the icon, Jennifer Lewis will be joining us.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Queen Jennifer Lewis. Okay, she's got a new book out called Walking in My Joy. She's always a time, boy. She is always a time. She is one of the greatest humans to ever walk the face of this earth. Matter of fact, she's a spiritual being living a human existence. So she's one of the greatest spirits to ever walk the face of this earth. I love Queen Jennifer Lewis, man.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Can't wait to talk to her this morning. That's right. Well, let's get the show cracking. Front page news, what we talking about? Well, Queen Elizabeth II, everywhere I look, that was the breaking news yesterday. So we'll tell you about her passing and her funeral, coronation, who's next as far as the king and the queen.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Jason Lee told us first, yo. Jason Lee was trending king and the queen. Jason Lee told us first, yo. Jason Lee was trending, by the way. Jason Lee told us first, yo. I have a question. Maybe you could tell us when we get back. They're saying that her and Princess Diana never got along. Is that true? Listen, I'm going to be honest.
Starting point is 00:07:40 I don't know a whole lot about all of that. I don't know a damn thing about the royal family. I've been seeing the memes. They did have a whole doc. They've had documentaries about it and how miserable Princess Diana was and so on and so forth. I don't know nothing about that. Put it like this.
Starting point is 00:07:56 If Princess Diana didn't have a problem with Queen Elizabeth, she damn sure does on the Internet. Because every single meme is Princess Diana keeping her out of heaven. That's what I see. All right, we'll get into that next. It's breakfast club hey guys i'm kate max you might know me from my popular online series the running interview show where i run with celebrities athletes entrepreneurs and more after those runs the conversations keep going that's what my podcast post run High is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. You know that rush of endorphins you
Starting point is 00:08:37 feel after a great workout? Well, that's when the real magic happens. So if you love hearing real inspiring stories from the people, you know, follow and admire join me every week for post run high. It's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the heart of it all. It's lighthearted, pretty crazy, and very fun. Listen to post run high on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going.
Starting point is 00:09:41 This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. 55 gallons of water,
Starting point is 00:10:23 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Kaperburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I trade my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong?
Starting point is 00:10:40 No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-an on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, what's up? This is Ramses Jha. And I go by the name Q Ward. And we'd like you to join us each week for our show Civic Cipher.
Starting point is 00:11:14 That's right. We're going to discuss social issues, especially those that affect black and brown people, but in a way that informs and empowers all people to hopefully create better allies. Think of it as a black show for non-black people. We discuss everything from prejudice to politics to police violence, and we try to give you the tools to create positive change in your home, workplace, and social circle. Exactly. Whether you're black, Asian, white, Latinx, indigenous, LGBTQIA+, you name it.
Starting point is 00:11:41 If you stand with us, then we stand with you. Let's discuss the stories and conduct the interviews that will help us create a more empathetic, accountable, and equitable America. You are all our brothers and sisters, and we're inviting you to join us for Civic Cipher each and every Saturday with myself, Ramses Jha, Q Ward, and some of the greatest minds in America. Listen to Civic Cipher every Saturday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey there, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist who studies human behavior.
Starting point is 00:12:13 On my podcast, A Slight Change of Plans, I marry science and storytelling to better understand how to navigate the big changes in our lives. It was like a slow nightmare, you know, because every day you think, oh, surely tomorrow I'll be better. And I would dream of being better. At night, I would dream that my face was quote unquote normal or back to the way it was. And I'd wake up and there'd be no change. I also speak with scientists about how we can be more resilient in the face of change. You can think of the adolescent brain as like the social R&D engine of our culture, that they're something that looks like risky and idiotic to us.
Starting point is 00:12:54 It's maybe their way of creatively trying to solve the problem of having social success and fewer of the things that bring you social failure. Listen to A Slight Change of Plans on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news.
Starting point is 00:13:17 Now, yesterday, WNBA, the Sun beat the Sky 72-63. And in Thursday night football, the Bills beat the Rams 31-63. And in Thursday night football, the Bills beat the Rams 31-10. Does that mean the Chicago Sky going to the WNBA finals to play against the Las Vegas Aces? Yes. I thought they lost. I thought you said the Sky won.
Starting point is 00:13:38 The Sun won. The Sun beat the Sky. The Sun is going to the WNBA finals. Yeah, they're playing the Aces. They beat the 72-63. What else you got, Yeezy? The Suns are going to the WNBA final. Yeah, they're playing the Aces. Okay. 72-63. What else you got, Yeezy? All right. Well, let's talk about Queen Elizabeth II. She has passed away, and she's Britain's longest reigning monarch.
Starting point is 00:13:55 She was 96 years old. And this is the first time there's been a changeover in Britain's monarchy in 70 years. But they have been planning for this just to make sure there's a smooth transition after Queen Elizabeth II died and to make sure they honor her as well. And so here is someone reacting, actually, to the Queen dying. I just wonder what you thought,
Starting point is 00:14:17 what your first reaction was when you heard the news that the Queen is under medical supervision. I mean, I think it's pretty sad, pretty sad when anyone kind of gets in that position. You wouldn't want that to happen to your own family member. But I'm not the biggest fan of the Queen or just the monarchy in general, so I wasn't that upset or overwhelmed by it. You're not the biggest fan of the monarchy.
Starting point is 00:14:40 I wonder why. Mainly to do with British colonialish like colonial history things like that a lot of things that have gone on which have been quite shady even like recently with like prince sandra and everything so um yeah i'm not really that biggest fan well that was honest hey i don't know anything about the royal family and the truth is i'm not gonna act like i care because it's the trendy thing to do right now. RIP to that woman. It felt like social media was celebrating her death.
Starting point is 00:15:09 I'll tell you that much, though. All right. Well, the funeral will take place 10 days after her death. That's the traditional observance of a national period of mourning. And they do expect that dignitaries and heads of states from around the world will attend that funeral. And so, you know know it's a huge thing and then now charles the eldest child of queen elizabeth and philip will become king charles the third upon his mother's death so i was i was looking at that i was i was trying to figure that
Starting point is 00:15:38 out how does why did he become king because she died because he's the oldest because he's the oldest so she passed away her husband passed away so now he's the king oh okay okay that's what i was thinking i was like yeah his wife camilla uh yeah becomes the queen but that was complicated she's the queen consort because she was divorced and so before she got married to King Charles III, she was divorced. So when he became king, they were wondering what would happen to her because I guess there's some type of tradition. So now she's known as queen consort.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Okay, that makes sense. I don't know nothing about them people, so in my mind, I was like, well, wouldn't the king be her husband, but you just said her husband died, so that makes sense. Her husband passed away a couple years ago, yeah. Okay. And now that he's king,
Starting point is 00:16:26 now his oldest son becomes heir to the throne. So Prince William is the next heir to the throne. And he becomes the Duke of Cornwall. Which one married to Meghan Markle? I think they're way further down the line. Yeah, they're way further down the line. Prince Harry,
Starting point is 00:16:42 he's still in the line of succession because he's still a member of the family, but he's also the youngest son, so there's still other people in line for him. All the other sons would have to pass away before him, yeah. I don't know nothing about none of this. One of the homies texted me yesterday, and he said the queen died.
Starting point is 00:16:58 And then he texted me right back and said Elizabeth, not Latifah, because he knew I wasn't thinking about no Queen Elizabeth when he said the queen died. But rest in peace to her yeah it's just whoever is the oldest and then if that oldest son something happens and whoever is next oldest is next in line next oldest after that
Starting point is 00:17:13 okay yeah that silence is just me not caring alright well that is your front page news and peace Connecticut shout out to Connecticut I said Phoenix sons I meant Connecticut sons I page news. And peace, Connecticut. Shout out to Connecticut. I said Phoenix Suns. I meant Connecticut Suns. I want to clear that up.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Shout out to everybody out in Connecticut. All right? Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, phone lines are wide open. Again, 800-585-1051. Get it off your chest. It's The Breakfast Club.

Hey, Georgina, get it off your chest.

He called and he asked. He said he needed money for lunch. And you guys sent him the money on Cash App. That was so hot of you guys.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Thank you. You're worried about the wrong things right now, sir. Just say thanks. It's You're worried about Envy. Envy, you're worried about the wrong things, man. It's just right now, sir. Just say thanks. It's Charlamagne and Envy. You call me ****, but you love me. I'm so sorry. I apologize. I'm so sorry. I apologize. But you know the funny thing about that gentleman, that man Charlamagne
Starting point is 00:18:37 helped? He asked me for another $5 like a week later. I don't know if he hit you up too, Charlamagne. Oh, that's who that was? I didn't know who that was. He asked me for another five dollars. I'm like, bro, you got to get out of here now. Enough is enough. You're not going to be a children. You're not going to be one of my child. No. Okay, now you want me to
Starting point is 00:18:53 take care of you. Now you want me to take care of you. That's crazy. But you know what? It's still a ton of you guys to do that. So you guys are going to be blessed because you probably do it a lot. So that's so great of you guys. I do do it a lot. He asked me for $5 and then recently he just asked me for $20.
Starting point is 00:19:10 He had $20 again. Oh, that was yesterday. Yesterday at 5.52 a.m. for emergency, bro. Can you spare me this? He did the same to me. I'm like, nah, I helped you out one time. You ain't going to be my child support. I ain't paying you every week now.
Starting point is 00:19:25 This is enough. Enough's enough. Thank you, mama. Nah, this ain't going to be, you ain't going to be my child support. I ain't paying you every week. Nah, this is enough. Enough's enough. Thank you, mama. Hello, who's this? Hey, good morning. This is Fat Man calling from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. What's up, brother? Get it off your chest.

Starting point is 00:19:58 Let me shout out to SK and Amelia. Amelia is a young girl. She's five years old. She listens to The Breakfast Club every morning on her way to school with her mom. So she wanted a shout out. She was able to do the intro. Hi, this is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. So I just want to say good morning to Amelia.
Starting point is 00:20:14 That little girl does not sound like Elmo, bro. Cut it out. Envy does that same voice anytime he tries to imitate anyone. But any little kid, any little kid and Elmo, he does that. Well, she's five years old, so she wanted to say good morning. So good morning to her and her mom, SK. All right. But get it off your chest.

Still waiting on that first check. Showcases turn to royalties.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Nine to five for slot time. MCU for the lawyer fees. My young boy in that trap house said he going to the top with me. And for a pair of custom J's, he backing out with that Glock easy. I told him, chill, be safe. I'm on that porch about to ring bells. Because this pressure that I'm applying with got him chirping like next town. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:22:26 You know what I'm saying? Okay, now. What's up? What's up? What's happening? What you got, Solomon? I think you go first, Solomon. Who's next?
Starting point is 00:22:34 I got a little something, you know what I'm saying? I put a little positive vibes out there for this Friday, you know what I'm saying? Took a brother's life with a knife as his wife cried. Because he died a trifling death. When he left, his very last breath was, I slept. So watch your step. Back in the 60s, our brothers and sisters were hanged. How could you gangbang? I never ever ran from the Ku Klux Klan.
Starting point is 00:22:57 And I shouldn't have to run from a black man. Right. That's what I'm talking about, baby. Off the dome. OK. All right. I got a little something to talk about, baby. Off the dome. Okay, all right. I got a little something to talk about, baby. What's up?
Starting point is 00:23:10 It's been a long time. I shouldn't have left you without a strong rhyme to step to. Think of how many weeks shows you slept through. Time's up. Sorry I kept you thinking of this. You keep repeating you miss. The rhyme from the microphone solo whiz. You sit by the radio, hand on the c**k, son. As you hear it, pump up
Starting point is 00:23:26 the value. What? I don't know what. What did he say? OG Rob, did you hear what I think you heard? He said what? Okay. Freaky, freaky Friday. That's when we do it.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Listen, man, y'all already know what it is, man. I appreciate y'all, man. It's always a pleasure. It's always a pleasure. Y'all stay blessed. Y'all catch me on that IG, OG Rob 300. Have a great and safe weekend, you and your families. You heard? Yes, sir. You too, OG Rob.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Yo, so June is at the station with me, and I guess he's never heard OG Rob and me rap, so he's looking at me like, that's not part of the lines. That's right. He's like, yo, bro, you rocking the wrong mic. That's what he said to you. He said, yo, Envy, you rocking the wrong mic.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Oh, man. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, you can hit us up now. Now, we got rumors on the way? Yes, and what was this beef going on online between Lil' Kim and 50 Cent? We'll explain that to you. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:24:27 All right, we'll get to that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Let's talk Lil' Kim. It's time. She's spilling the rumors. Let's talk Lil' Kim. This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. Megan Thee Stallion's new Plan B remix featuring Lil' Kim came out yesterday. And this is the part that people
Starting point is 00:24:59 are talking about. Your brothers keep back and like this and your son gonna be a think they use us but they useless. talking about. He like, damn, what is that? He tell you something, you don't care I got him talking like Tweety Bird and all that He a tricker, miscarried, yeah, I want all that The floor, he only want you cause of me The floor, he only know you cause of me The nigga playing me with some words that worship me I'm only five feet, but they all look up to me First of all, dropping the clues bombs for Lil' Kim
Starting point is 00:25:40 Let's not get this back on the track Lil' Kim is floating on that record She definitely is. Floating. And it goes along with the theme of the original Plan B song that Megan the Stallion has. Now, this is the remix. So, they're talking about exes and guys
Starting point is 00:25:55 and men. And so, 50 Cent ended up weighing in on the song. He posted a picture and he said, at Nicki Minaj, you better light her ass up. I'm watching. She says something about the baby a picture and he said at Nicki Minaj you better light her ass up I'm watching she says something about the baby and then he said her baby I yeah I mean I would I hate the fact that those two have been beefing for so long you know I 50s my brother and I love little Kimmy a little
Starting point is 00:26:20 Kimmy it goes back from Magic Stick from like 13, 15 years ago, but they are both good people to people that are around them. Like they are both, Kim is an angel, 50 is my brother. I just hope that they would ever squash that beef. Well, kids should always be off limits, right? Like we should all find a way to communicate without hurting each other as adults. But that's often difficult, but not harming children should be easy not harming children verbally or otherwise should be off limits but clearly it's not for some people
Starting point is 00:26:50 and by some people i mean uh 50 cent well little kim responded now watch what god do to his life and she said still mad about that date i see i ain't know you was this mad though damn boy glad you was listening though the song was for you she said a date i mean i know about it yeah she said that date now i don't know if it's like a concert date a show date or a date date i don't know i don't know and then she said it's okay he's just doing what bitch and where's do then she said i still can't believe y'all can't see through 50s lame ass disgraceful ugly and narcissistic tactics y'all still falling for that ish? He created this whole false narrative to cause drama and confusion because the girl he wanted is getting too much attention.
Starting point is 00:27:31 And then she added his girlfriend at Cuban Link. You are a gorgeous, sophisticated, intelligent woman, but being with someone who openly and comfortably attacks children is a bad look. Get out while you can, girl. Anyone who knows me knows even if you are my enemy, I would never say anything about anyone's child. Kids are off limits. I can imagine how that would feel to have somebody talking crazy about your child. And then she said, it's so crazy how a song about bitch-ass embers
Starting point is 00:27:56 could touch a bitch ember so, so deeply that he results to attacking a child. Oh, yeah, it's official to say I'm that bitch. Okay, 50, you got me. That song was about you. Yeah, I didn't think she was going at anybody in particular on that verse she was just just spitting to me but i mean if she was taking shots whoever she was shooting that she just turned to the book of hove uh verse 23 uh chapter 16 you know what's the line of when it's like when people make subliminal records if it ain't directed directly at me i don't respect it that's all well my whole thing is the original plan b song wasn't was about men and so little kim was like she was talking about her ex and when i heard it i thought she was talking about a guy
Starting point is 00:28:38 i wonder what fifth got there from though yeah i don't know like i wonder where he got that she was somebody called him and told him he was going at her? Or he saw something on social media maybe? I don't know. I'm going to ask both of them when I get a chance this weekend. Where did it start? Where did the beef start? Because I don't even know how it started.
Starting point is 00:28:55 That was the one that just started weird to me. And they're both Cancers. You got to stay out of the way when two Cancers start going at it, Envy. But also, it's been a long history of beef. Remember, 50s, tour bus was shot up that time. It was a lot going on. But I wonder, it's been so long. I don't know anything about that.
Starting point is 00:29:13 What did he just say, Angelique? It was documented. I don't know anything about nobody's tour bus getting shot up. It was documented a long time ago. Remember, he was in Jersey and they shot up the tour bus. It was documented. What that got to do with Kim? They said that was part of it back in the day.
Starting point is 00:29:26 I don't know. You really the son of a cop? Wow. It's been documented. I don't know nothing about that. Google. Use your Googles. Use your Googles.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Jesus Christ, Envy. But I would love to. I'm going to talk to both of them and see where it started and if it could ever be fixed because they're both really good people. Please check in before YAR, earpiece. All I see is 50 Cent almost shot a Beyonce video before. Beyonce shot up, 50 Cent shot up a Beyonce video. What kind of, now this is a rumor report.

Please keep our family in prayer and respect our privacy at this time, as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss. Yeah, so rest in peace to David Arnold. Send a healing energy to his family. I didn't know the brother personally, but, you know, all my comedian friends definitely loved him and respected him, looked at him as a mentor. I'm talking about everybody from, you know, Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, to Flame Monroe. They all said that he was just like a great mentor who always gave, you know, great advice. And he was subscheduled. Wasn't he supposed to be on Breakfast Club next week?
Starting point is 00:32:23 Yep, he's supposed to be on Breakfast Club next week. Yep. He's supposed to be on Breakfast Club next week. Yeah, because he got a stand-up special on Netflix. But, man, boy. It Ain't For The Week is the special, which came out on July 19th. So you guys check out that. That's his second Netflix stand-up special. Did they say how he passed? Starting point is 00:33:04 And the Memphis Police Department is looking for multiple suspects now and his family. Lord have mercy. Send healing energy to his family. Lord have mercy. And the Memphis Police Department is looking for multiple suspects now after close to $1 million worth of Nike products were stolen out of trailers earlier this week. It said the crimes took place on Tuesday a little after midnight at the company's distribution center
Starting point is 00:33:20 that was on Shelby Drive and Lamar Avenue. Multiple thieves stole $800,000 worth of Nike sneakers and apparel. And it was about 20 different trailers that they stole that from. So I don't know if you guys saw the pictures of all the boxes outside the trailers just scattered
Starting point is 00:33:36 on the floor. How could they do that long and nobody get caught? Because they went through like 20 trucks? That's a lot. Now they do have video surveillance cameras, but only in the front of the facility. So they were not able to capture the scene of the crime. All they have is the
Starting point is 00:33:52 aftermath from the videos and photos. Envy, anything you want to tell us about this situation? What they saying on the blotter? Envy knows you did it. Envy? I ain't messing with y'all, man. Envy, anything you want to tell us? No, I don't know nothing. Does anybody You want to tell us? No, I don't know nothing. Does anybody we know connect you to it?
Starting point is 00:34:08 Huh? Envy got on a whole Nike sweatsuit now. I actually do. But not any cover from there. Envy's been wearing Nike tracksuits all week. I just want to throw that out there. Since Tuesday. I know where their body is. United Airlines is making a conditional order for electric air taxis.
Starting point is 00:34:26 They think in a few years, a lot of big city customers will pay $100 or more for a one-way ride to the airport. And that's in a four-seat electric-powered air taxi. So they've invested $15 million in a startup manufacturer. They expect to receive the first air taxis, which will take off and land vertically like helicopters from Eve Air Mobility as soon as 2026. So imagine you get to avoid all that traffic going to the airport. Just go up in the air, hover above all of that and get to the airport. They have something like that in New York, but it's a helicopter. They have a helicopter if you're trying to get to the airport.
Starting point is 00:35:03 Yeah, it leaves on the west side and get you to the airport I think in like 20 minutes 15 minutes something like that yeah and it can get you to like the Hamptons to write they have airplay about 30 that goes there yeah you could actually do it on uber at one time you if you go all the way up on the Uber and they have the helicopter, you could book it right through there. Wait till there's traffic in the sky. It's really over. All right, well, that is your front page news.
Starting point is 00:35:36 And what's this energy that we about to bring into the room? We got some energy, some queen energy coming into the room. One of my favorite people that I love to have conversations with has a new book out called Walking in My Joy in the Streets. Who we got in me? Yes, Jennifer Lewis will be joining us, the legend, the icon. And we're going to kick it with her when we come back. So don't move. It's The Breakfast Club.

Starting point is 00:37:32 And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best.

Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired? Depressed? A little bit revolutionary?
Starting point is 00:38:05 Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
Starting point is 00:38:22 I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tribe own country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warheads. Oh my God. What is that?
Starting point is 00:38:41 Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio

Starting point is 00:40:00 Hey there, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist who studies human behavior. On my podcast, A Slight Change of Plans, I marry science and storytelling to better understand how to navigate the big changes in our lives. It was like a slow nightmare, you know, because every day you think, oh, surely tomorrow I'll be better. And I would dream of being better. At night, I would dream that my face wasunquote normal or back to the way it was. And I'd wake up and there'd be no change.
Starting point is 00:40:31 I also speak with scientists about how we can be more resilient in the face of change. You can think of the adolescent brain as like the social R&D engine of our culture. That they're something that looks like risky and idiotic to us is maybe their way of creatively trying to solve the problem of having social success and fewer of the things that bring you social failure. Listen to A Slight Change of Plans on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Come on. Stressful time, right? Not at all okay i'm happy as a lord i wrote this book during covet
Starting point is 00:41:08 i had to get it out of me there's not a person in the world that did not contemplate their death oh you're right and i told my family i said if anything happens to me because i'm 65 now you get that book out you're not no 65 65. Yes, I am. Fine, mother******. You ain't 65. Pretty, bitch. I'm so f***ing pretty, I can't see straight. I get up every morning. The kids love this. I brush my teeth,
Starting point is 00:41:35 spit it out, look in the mirror. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. And I say, pretty, bitch. Then I start my day. There you go. That's right. You can't be touched when you start off good.
Starting point is 00:41:49 That's right. Ah, can't get nothing to get on you. That's right. It's hard, though, I mean, in this world, because I feel like the world is just going to shit on so many levels. No, it isn't. It's okay to be scared right now. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:41:59 But you must be unafraid. Mm-hmm. Stand the fuck up now. Are we in trouble? Yes. Are they trying to take democracy itself? Yes. But evil will not win out. Love is the glue that holds us together. So start loving, why don't you?
Starting point is 00:42:23 Before you go in any room. You see how I came in here? You came in cussing. I sure did. That's a lie. Where am I not on cuss? I said, f*** you, Charlemagne. That rat bastard.
Starting point is 00:42:37 I think the quote was, how you motherf***ing do it. That's how the intro was. Get that, yeah. So I want to know why you decide to write the book during COVID. So much going on. What made you say, I want to put it all out there? Well,
Starting point is 00:42:54 that's what I do. Whether I'm writing a book or not, I put it all out there. I'll give you one teaser. I fainted at the White House and woke up the medical Marines the White House doctor I woke up I went go take care of Obama mother All I did was thank what is happening to Obama? baby
Starting point is 00:43:19 They gave me three Christmas cookies and some water, you know to revive I Said now ain't this the white house? They gave me three Christmas cookies and some water, you know, to revive me. A little sugar. Sugar, yeah, yeah. I said, now, ain't this the white house? I know goddamn well Michelle got some chicken in that goddamn place. I said, y'all go get me some chicken. Baby, they said, I heard, saw somebody whisper.
Starting point is 00:43:43 They were saying, get this bitch out of here. They put me in a wheelchair like in the hospital, rolled me out the front gate and dumped my ass out of there. No. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They said, get that bitch out of here. No. No, they loved me up. You know they loved me. They loved me up there.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Everybody was so concerned. I forgot to eat. I was so excited to meet the president and first lady. Come on. I met them before, maybe two or three times. But I met Barack when he was a senator. Oprah had a fundraiser for him. Stevie Wonder sang.
Starting point is 00:44:15 It was beautiful. That bitch had so much land. I was like, go on, Oprah. Did Obama check on you afterwards? Hell no. He'd gone on upstairs with Michelle. Not an email later or nothing? He probably never told him that a crazy bitch
Starting point is 00:44:30 was in the White House. Oh my God. But you know what I learned from Obama that day? When he spoke, I never heard a word he said. I only saw his compassion for the families of the victims that had been shot in
Starting point is 00:44:47 the church. And I have been a real big activist since Trump was elected. Because you see what's missing. Even if you don't agree with everything that Obama did policy-wise, that compassion. And the other thing, he led
Starting point is 00:45:03 with love. That's why Trump came with him. Come on now. You lead with hate. He's leading with love. You don't win. You cannot destroy love. You can't match it. The only thing that matches love is love.
Starting point is 00:45:20 I agree with you. But how do you explain white supremacy? Because that's been leading with hate since the day we got here. Y'all don't want to start me. Yes, we do. That January 6th, they looked like roaches climbing those walls. How dare you, you motherfuckers. We built this fucking building.
Starting point is 00:45:39 See, they went on tour the day before to see what they were going to get in. And whoever took them around forgot to tell them those windows are not the same qualities as the ones in your trailer. One little girl got tear gas in her eyes.
Starting point is 00:45:59 And somebody interviewed her. What's going on? She said, little Karen, they tear gassed me. And he said, well, who are you? My name is Sylvia Williams. And then they went on and they got her a dress. She gave them her dress. That dumb bitch.
Starting point is 00:46:16 She was just, you know, she was being interviewed and she was distressed. You dumb bitch. She's in jail. She got eight years. Damn. You know, here's the other thing. All I could vision was a few of them having stopped at an ice cream store and stood there and couldn't decide amongst the 150 flavors. Well, you just get back to vanilla, you dumb bastard. But as they ate ice cream on their way there.
Starting point is 00:46:45 The privilege. That shit made me sick. And people reacted like it was just a bunch of kids having fun at spring break. You know, I'm going to be honest with you. Those Republican senators are all sociopaths. You know what I know? Trump with his mafia ass.
Starting point is 00:47:02 Soon as he got in, he got all the dish on all those senators. I can't go with him. He'll show them with little boys and hookers. They got pictures. So they can't even be human no more. They're just scared. What do you think about the new president and vice president?
Starting point is 00:47:19 Biden has experience. It's a shame he's the age he is. Kamala, bad bitch, I'm sorry. And he's good. And I bet you any money he calls up Obama every morning. Oh, bastard.
Starting point is 00:47:35 Barack, please. Barack, please. How the f*** did you do this? For eight f***ing years. Jesus Christ. Do I bomb a country now? Should I shoot them down from the walls? Dumb bastard.
Starting point is 00:47:51 I got to tell y'all, I don't hate nobody. But that was some nasty shit. But let me tell you another thing. History does repeat itself. I thought we had evolved. Beyond that, we just got the sound
Starting point is 00:48:10 of a black hole. We have close-ups of Jupiter. Put a man on the moon, and all we can do is destroy Earth. You see, I just got back from Antarctica. Y'all know I travel. The captain of the ship showed me the waterline. And he said to me, Miss Lewis, I know you're a celebrity,
Starting point is 00:48:34 but my crew tells me you're an activist. I said, yes, sir, I am. He said, I would ask that you go back to your country and tell whoever will listen we're in trouble. The Arctic is melting at the light of speed. Y'all, we need the Polars to orbit. And these bastards don't want to believe in science. Dumb Trump. I'm sorry. I don't want to believe in science dumb trump i'm sorry i don't i don't want to say his name what do you think built your buildings you're a science all right we got more with jennifer lewis when we come back don't move it's the breakfast club come on morning everybody it's dj envy angela yee charlamagne the guy we are the breakfast club we're still kicking it with
Starting point is 00:49:24 jennifer lewis charlamagne let's let's We are The Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with Jennifer Lewis. Charlamagne? Let's get back to the book and everything. First of all, congratulations to you for the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Yay! I got a claim, a claim, a claim, a claim, a claim. Watch this. I'm getting my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Okay. Hey! On the Hollywood Walk. Go for it.
Starting point is 00:49:45 Okay. Hey. Oh, God, I wrote a song. How did it feel? Let me tell you, y'all. Anybody can be famous. Now, all you got to do is f*** somebody. But I studied.
Starting point is 00:49:58 Okay? I studied Shakespeare. There you go. I felled in Christ with Uta Hagen. I am trained. That's why I speak with distinction. I used to say knuckle for a nickel. I thought you were saying nigga.
Starting point is 00:50:17 Give me a knuckle. That's how we talked back home. We talked like that. Well, until I got to college, I found out it was nickel. Can you believe it when you got it? When you got it, did it feel surreal? I told the audience that day, it was not the work I did on camera and stage.
Starting point is 00:50:36 It was the work I did off. I went and got help. Damn near everybody in the show business is bipolar, but they don't know it because they got in it to hide that mania so they wouldn't be different out there in the normal world that's right i hesitated to take medication because i didn't want it to take my edge it didn't i stayed in literally had to be re-raised. My mama didn't have time to take care of me.
Starting point is 00:51:08 There was no affection. I was her seventh child, and she was 26. The hell is she going to do with seven babies? Scrubbing white people's floors. But what she did give me was work ethics. She stopped scrubbing white people's floors, and she went and got her certificate and became a nurse's aide she said i'll be damned if those white people come to my house to check it out so i can get a welfare check you remember they used to come in there make sure the father wasn't
Starting point is 00:51:37 there see if the daddy was home you didn't get welfare if they came in there and saw you had nice stuff, that was reported. Here's a story you don't know. I'm about, how old am I? 35. No, I'm 65 now, but I'm trying to tell a story. I was seven years old then. White man came to my mama's house to check on it, so she couldn't get a welfare check.
Starting point is 00:52:01 Comes right to the front door. Doesn't come right all the way in yet. He peered in and saw an upright piano that a white family had given my mother. And he said these words. Where you get that piano, nigga? I stand there with my thumb in my mouth thinking, no, you the nigga this morning is you going down. I knew that mother******.
Starting point is 00:52:25 My mother went to the back, came back with the bucket we used to use to pee in because we had an outhouse. But we would pee in the bucket.
Starting point is 00:52:34 But if you had to poop, you had to go outside. My mother came back with that bucket of piss and threw it all over. I was like, well, we won't say that s***
Starting point is 00:52:42 no more. That's right. After her. My mother was a gangster. Alpha. She fed us. Did whatever she had to do. The pipes would break in that cold St. Louis weather.
Starting point is 00:52:55 We would ice skate on the kitchen floor. Run around. You know, we didn't know. That had to empower you as a child to see your mom stand up to that white man like that. You damn straight. She got a job we were off welfare she said these motherfuckers will not tell me
Starting point is 00:53:10 what to do with my life and my children my mother didn't play she taught me work ethics that's why I'm still here that's why I have sustained in show business you see not even me can stop me I was given a gift
Starting point is 00:53:24 and I honored it stayed alive not even me can stop me. I was given a gift. That's right. And I honored it. Stayed alive. Stayed healthy. Look at me now. God damn it. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:53:33 35 years. Yeah. Hey, I hit a high note for my book. Y'all don't know. Walking in my joy. Who has the audacity to write a book called Walking in My Joy? How does somebody walk in their joy? We only have five minutes because she has to go.
Starting point is 00:53:51 Dad, I don't give a **** about the other interview. I'm staying here because I know I'm talking to a lot of black kids. There you go. That's right. Tell you the question again. How does somebody walk in their joy? Live on purpose. It's called life.
Starting point is 00:54:05 Look what we have, the planet. Oh God, y'all, I've been all over the world. It's so beautiful. I just got back from the Himalayan mountain range. I saw Everest. Took a helicopter. I saw the base camp, you know where they start to climb the summit. We saw a few of them going up.
Starting point is 00:54:25 Y'all know I wanted to climb that mountain when I was 13 and there I was looking at Everest a little poor girl from Kenlock, Missouri. Mm-hmm. I went to the Taj Mahal there. I was I went to Angkor Wat in Cambodia I went to the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and Petra in Jordan. All cultural treasures of the world. We shouldn't destroy this. Human beings have got to be nicer. Live on purpose, y'all. Do your homework.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Do the work. Write it down. What you want to do today. How can I be nice today? I told you last time. You got gotta be happy on your way to happy. Don't think you're gonna get there. And then I'm happy. Oh, look what I got. No, you're the same piece
Starting point is 00:55:14 of s*** you were when you started. That's right. If anything, it makes it worse. Absolutely. And what gives you that joy? What gives you the most joy? Is it acting? Is it activism? Or is it traveling? Or is it traveling? Or is it something that you haven't mentioned? What's more exciting to me right now than anything is that I can look at you all and know that the only thing I can do for you is live my best life.
Starting point is 00:55:41 Yes, look at me. I take care of myself. You think this is easy? I'm in Pilates. I'm in yoga. I eat as well as I can. Stop eating all that fried chicken. It's so sick of seeing my fellow sisters walking down the street and they can't even get around.
Starting point is 00:55:58 What, are you going to die and leave your children here for somebody to molest? Keep your ass healthy. Come out of them dark rooms with all that depression. Stop yourself. You go get some help. But you can start by journaling. What do I want?
Starting point is 00:56:14 Who am I? And if you don't know, make some shit up. When did you first start going to therapy? I was 33 years old. I spent half my life depressed and manic as hell. Did you know it was depression?
Starting point is 00:56:29 Absolutely not. It was normal. That's right. I cried every night of my life. Well, there were some nights I had sex and that was all right. I didn't cry that night. I was like, Merry Christmas.
Starting point is 00:56:42 You ever cried over some bad sex? Like, ugh. Bad sex? I wish the f*** he would. Not a problem. Nah, I was in my 20s then. You get it up, I get sad. I wish a b***h
Starting point is 00:56:58 I wish a b***h would bring a left b***h in my house when we were that young. What? Nigga, please. F*** out of here. Oh my god, we were that young. What? Nigga, please. Oh, my God. I shouldn't do this. Y'all, they play the hell out of my views. I want to be honest. But you live on purpose.
Starting point is 00:57:15 Oh, man. You rehearse it. Life is not a rehearsal. But practice living well. You can do it. You can. I did. I was poor. I had mental illness. I had do it. You can. I did. I was poor.
Starting point is 00:57:27 I had mental illness. I had sex addiction, molested. All of it. But I wanted to live. Alright, well don't move. We got more with Jennifer Lewis when we come back. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Good morning everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Gee, Charlamagne the guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We're still
Starting point is 00:57:43 kicking it with Jennifer Lewis. Charlamagne? Did you really almost retire after Black-ish? Yeah, I did. I wanted to go home. COVID was happening, and I wanted to go with people I loved. I didn't know if I was going to die. I'm still going back. I just signed a six-year contract for a show on Showtime.
Starting point is 00:58:03 It's called I Love That For You. Wow. It stars Molly Shannon and Vanessa Bayer, two Saturday Night Live alumni, and they are comedic giants. A six-year contract? You know, when you do a show, you got to sign a six-year contract.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Well, congrats. Thank you. I'm so happy. And the role I'm doing, guess what? What? They waited till I was 65 years old to make me a porn star. I'm f***ing in this show.
Starting point is 00:58:34 That's why you still look good. Yeah, it's cable. You gotta watch it. What's her name? Her name is Patricia Cochran. Patricia Cochran? I'll put that Cochran on it. When I got the script, her name was. Her name, when I got the script, her name was Patricia Cochran.
Starting point is 00:58:47 So I asked the writers, I said, so you never know what they're going to do with the stories. So I said, was she married? They said, no. I said, well, what's this Cochran shit? There ain't no black people named Cochran. So I said, let it be Cochran. And let her be Johnny Cochran's cousin.
Starting point is 00:59:04 Bad bitch. She's a billionaire. When her be Johnny Cochran's cousin. Bad bitch. She's a billionaire. When does it come out? It's out. There are eight episodes on Showtime right now. And we're waiting to see if the show is going to be picked up. Okay. And I'm ready for it.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Wow. This is a great role. It is, by the way, it's my best work. Really? That's saying a lot. Maybe I'm in that character. I walked into that character like a fitted glove. And I'm having the time of my life because the environment is so nice.
Starting point is 00:59:40 You know, you can get on some toxic sets. And then you can't create well. But, guys, I'm having the time of my life here it is I'm doing 15 animations right now in 15 different voices Wow I got the new series New book Wow I'm on book tour now Cussing everybody out loving them God this woman stood up last night at barnes and noble she told the saddest story and then she said it's my birthday i said damn now i can help happy birthday

So you can know I'm human. I get my heart broken. I f*** up. I walk in my joy. But I'll take a bitch down in my joy too.
Starting point is 01:00:57 It ain't that much medication in the world. Okay? The personality will break through. What do you want readers to take away from walking in my joy? Grow up. Be nice. Dream. And don't drop the ball. It is hard. Life's hard.
Starting point is 01:01:14 Ain't nobody promised you a rose garden without thorns. Work your way through it. It's so much in that book, but it's mostly funny because after COVID, I knew the world had to laugh. When I was in Cambodia, everything
Starting point is 01:01:30 was boarded up. My guide said on any given day there were 7,000 tourists. There were 400 that day. Everybody's suffering the residue of COVID. So that's why you got to be nice.
Starting point is 01:01:47 People had family members. Many people died from this thing. I think it's 3 million something passed. The world is mourning. Stop fighting. Be compassionate. Take care of one another. We all bleed.
Starting point is 01:02:04 Didn't it teach us that if one of us sneezes another. We all bleed. Didn't it teach us that if one of us sneezes, we're all sick. It went around the world. Somebody sneezed. They didn't know. So be nice. Keep saying that.
Starting point is 01:02:19 Do something for somebody. I fed a lot of families during COVID. That's how I tie. Lead with love. Live on purpose. Jennifer Lewis, walking in my joy in these streets. In these streets. I'm going to get y'all high kick.
Starting point is 01:02:34 No, you don't get one because you didn't ask. You still can do it? Yeah, we didn't say goodbye. I don't know if you can still do it. You can't do it no more. Come on now, you're 35 now. You're a little older than last time. But guess what? What? This time, I do have to warm it up. And let me show you how to get, J.F. You can't do it no more. Come on now. You're 35 now. You're a little older than last time. But guess what?
Starting point is 01:02:45 What? This time, I do have to warm it up. And let me show you how to get it up. OK. Do this. Da, da, da, da. And don't try to do it. I've been doing this since I was 19. I got trained by a can-can dancer. Yes, ma'am. He told me to stand in a doorway and just let the, like a pendulum. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:03:12 Wow. Yes, ma'am. So, you know, that was homework. That's history. Absolutely. You don't stop. Keep training. Keep working out.
Starting point is 01:03:22 Move your body. Walk around the block. That's right. Try to eat right. I want my people to be healthy. Keep working out. Move your body. Walk around the block. That's right. Try to eat right. I want my people to be healthy. That's right. Why you got two eyeglasses? I'm a crazy mother.
Starting point is 01:03:34 I will lose some. I think my short memory is gone. That's okay. Well. I'm going to go get. Do whatever I got. Oh, I need this water. You left.
Starting point is 01:03:44 And drink water Hydrate please Dumbass You left us a lot of memories We love you Miss Jennifer Lewis I got that for you No I'm showing it Oh okay
Starting point is 01:03:54 Ladies and gentlemen I love you more It's Jennifer Lewis It's the Breakfast Club Good morning good morning listen up it's just in holocaust the rumor report with angela it's the rumor report the breakfast club well sweetie was on carisha please on revolt and they went through a lot of really hot topics so one thing that they talked about was Sweetie being single. Now, how does she feel about that? So how does it feel being single? It's fun, but at the same time, I'm very, like, being single, like, I be having anxiety.
Starting point is 01:04:31 Like, when I go on dates, like, I'm like, I don't want to get caught. Like, because you just, somebody see you out with somebody. Somebody see you sitting next to somebody. Like, the whole world just erupts. Doing something with somebody, people automatically assume that's my man,'s my man and it's not yeah i hate that all right in addition to that she talked about breaking up can you turn you up a little bit her soulmate here we go like last year was hard for me like i lost someone who i love you know when you think someone is your soulmate and you don't end up with them um it is hard you know a lot of people thought that
Starting point is 01:05:06 i was just having fun in a single life but i was hurt like i really loved him and i was just doing a lot of soul searching my problem is i'll be thinking about like 10 years from now we're gonna have this this and that so like when that don't happen i'll be like my dreams be like shattered now they also talked about whether or not her car got repossessed because remember everybody was saying that her car got repoed. So how you feel when he took your car back?
Starting point is 01:05:36 Girl, I had to go get me a little rose because I was like, I really enjoyed my luxurious experience and I was like, you know what? I'm just going to get with myself. Mm-hmm. At least you can make that happen. Now, of course, she talks some more about her relationship with Quavo and what was going on behind the scenes.
Starting point is 01:05:55 Did Quavo ever cheat on you? Huh? Did Quavo ever cheat on you? You know, I think the past is just the past. And I moved on since then. Did you think our relationship was toxic? I think we had a lot of past and I moved on since then. Did you think y'all relationship was toxic? I think we had a lot of like growing pains together. I thought we was going to spend, you know, the rest of our lives together.
Starting point is 01:06:12 You know, you think that way. Like you get to be in love and he's like. With him, I just knew it was the one. It was different. So what, what, like what was the end? Like what, why y'all envy y'all relationship? Um, just differences. All right. So what was the end? Why y'all envy y'all relationship? Just differences.
Starting point is 01:06:28 All right. And in addition to that, remember there were rumors that Lil Baby took her on a shopping spree and spent all that money on her, the Chanel store and everywhere. So here's what she had to say. Just sitting there, somebody laughed. What was that? Like the whole Chanel store and the story that came out, like, what was that about? What you mean? How it came about.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Like, the selfie, did you make a mistake? Did you mean to post it? Like, did you think that people was going to find out that it was him? I just think that whole story just unraveled to, like, something that it wasn't. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So what was it? know girl i just be living my life so did he really drop a bag on you and the shit else though um i don't shop and tell period i don't shop and tell jesus christ boy y'all about to start
Starting point is 01:07:20 saying that huh i don't shop and tell you that's a damn lie because y'all gonna get on social media and tell everything or you know y'all gonna show everything saying that, huh? I don't shop and tell. That's a damn lie because y'all going to get on social media and tell everything. Y'all going to show everything at least. Yeah, but she don't tell it. You can show it. Right? She'll tag him. If you tag him, does that kind of tell him?
Starting point is 01:07:35 Yes, it does. Okay. All right. Well, that is your rumor report. All right. That interview is very funny, too. If you get a chance to watch it, watch the full interview. That Carisha is funny, man. Drop on a clue chance to watch it, watch the full interview. That interview is fun. Carisha is funny, man.
Starting point is 01:07:45 Drop on a cool bum for Young Miami, man. What are you talking about? She make every interview entertaining. She's very good. I like Carisha a lot. Fun day. She get all the hot topics right there for you. And she's easy to talk to.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Who are you giving your donkey to, Charlamagne? Man, four after the hour. You know, Sunday. Is it Sunday? Yes. Sunday, man, four after the hour. You know, Sunday. Is it Sunday? Yes, Sunday is 21 years since 9-11, and people are already being stupid about it. The clubhouse at Aquila Harbor, they need to come to the front of the congregation. We'd like to have a word with them. All right, we'll get to that next.
Starting point is 01:08:16 It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same. Galaxy Z Fold 4 is here to change the way you get things done. Now you can browse social media while tuning into a video call. And with the expansive foldable screen, you can use up to
Starting point is 01:08:32 three apps at the same time. Visit Samsung.com today to order your Galaxy Z Fold 4. I was born a donkey. It's the donkey of the day. It's the donkey of the day. It's the donkey of the day. You see, donkey, donkey. Bunch of jackass.
Starting point is 01:08:48 It's now time for the donkey of the day. That's pretty funny. Charlamagne the devil? Possibly. The Breakfast Club. Yes, donkey of the day for Friday, September 9th goes to the clubhouse at Aquia Harbor. That place is a country club in Stafford, Virginia.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Do you know how every year, whether it's Black History Month or Juneteenth, some restaurant we know gets in trouble for having a blackity black menu? Like one year it was NYU and Aramark. They had a special theme menu which consisted of barbecue ribs and cornbread and collard greens and two beverages
Starting point is 01:09:20 that the students said had racist connotations. And the two beverages was Kool-Aid and watermelon flavored water. I ain't't gonna lie my mouth just started watering just letting you i'm letting you know right now the only way that meal would insult me was if the ribs were pork and not beef and if the collard greens were cooked with pork and not turkey and here's another fun fact uh ye i'm sure you can speak to this because you own a juice bar watermelon juice is extremely healthy for you, right? Absolutely. I love it.
Starting point is 01:09:48 Yes, it controls your blood pressure, keeps your skin hydrated. It's good for heart health, eye health, all types of health benefits. But I guess when it's Black History Month for Juneteenth, we got to stay clear of watermelon. So says Twitter. And remember that school in Massachusetts? I think it was a Zaverian Brothers High School. They got backlash because they served fried chicken during Black History Month. Never mind the fact that an employee at the school who was black chose fried chicken to be the dish.
Starting point is 01:10:08 And never mind the fact that fried chicken created numerous money-making opportunities, even during slavery because enslaved black people highly valued chickens because many slaveholders allowed them to raise their own chicken. And then after emancipation, African-Americans were able to make and sell fried chicken on their own terms. And a lot of black people capitalized on the new opportunity available to them. Same with watermelon. Watermelon used to symbolize black self-sufficiency, but y'all let sovereign whites who were jealous of black folks' newfound freedom
Starting point is 01:10:36 turn those things into racist tropes through cinema like Birth of a Nation and other propaganda, okay? But that's not what we're here to discuss. That's a story for another day i'm just here to tell you that my brothers and sisters some people in this country are equal opportunity offenders okay because the clubhouse at aquia harbor just released their 9-11 menu oh just in time to commemorate the 21st anniversary of 9-11. The clubhouse at Aquia Harbor has released their menu. It's titled Patriot Day 2022 Seafood Sunday. You can call ahead to reserve. Okay. They have such delightful
Starting point is 01:11:12 dishes as Pentagon Pie, Freedom Flounder, First Responder Flatbread, 9-11 Oysters, Flight 93 Redirect with Crab Dip, 2977 Chowder. Do you know that the number 2977 marks the official tally of fatalities on 9-11-2001? And if you really want to celebrate mass murder, then you can get a Remembertini, which is key lime rum cream pie, coconut rum pineapple juice, a splash of cream served in a fancy glass with whipped cream and a honey graham rim. And if all of that sounds great to you, then you can just buy a Never Forget sampler with a little bit of everything.
Starting point is 01:11:52 Okay, the Never Forget sampler has enough eats and drinks for two people. I'm not making any of this up. This is all actual and factual. Listen, man, capitalism gonna do what capitalism gonna do. This is America. Everything, including the death of 2,977 people, factual listen man capitalism gonna do what capitalism gonna do this is america everything including the death of 2,977 people is for sale listen the clubhouse do you know how many people
Starting point is 01:12:13 who are still in this country that are traumatized by 9-11 you know how many people in this country probably don't even have an appetite thinking about the loved ones they lost on 9-11 very important to remember though that the essence of capitalism is to turn nature into commodities and commodities in the capital. And a lot of those commodities are often the bodies of humans. Doesn't matter if the bodies are alive, whether it's the enslaved or incarcerated, doesn't matter if the bodies are dead, like the 2,977 on 9-11, we got clam chowder to sell. You can understand that, right? No, we can't that right no we can't of course we can't okay they got a lot of backlash on social media all right we're not the only community who don't like
Starting point is 01:12:50 to be played with so george white the manager of the clubhouse apologized he said i apologize for those i offended with the 9-11 seafood sunday post my intention was to bring attention to that horrific day 21 years ago to honor those who lost so much as well as those who gave everything that day. He maintains we will have a new theme tomorrow. See, here lies the problem. George, your intention wasn't to bring attention to 9-11. Your intention was to make money. That's why you ended your statement with, we will have a new theme tomorrow
Starting point is 01:13:30 because it's right back to business. Got to create a new promotion so we can do some new marketing so we can generate new revenue. 2,977 people murdered is not a gimmick. It's a tragedy. A tragedy that should be honored by you.
Starting point is 01:13:48 No, the tragedy shouldn't be honored. You should honor the public servants. We need you to give all the public servants, folks who would have been first responders, firefighters, police officers, medical professionals. How about on Sunday, you give them all free food and drinks.
Starting point is 01:14:04 That's how you honor a patriot. Yeah, that's a great idea. That's what we need the clubhouse at Aquia Harbor to do. We need the clubhouse at Aquia Harbor to honor all the public servants, all the people who would have been first responders, the firefighters, police officers, medical professionals. On Sunday, 9-11, Give them all free food and drinks. That's how you honor a patriot, okay? Please give George White the manager at the clubhouse at Aquia Harbor
Starting point is 01:14:34 the sweet sounds of the Hamilton's. Oh, now you are the donkey of the day. You are the donkey of the day. You are the donkey of the day. Yee-haw. Yee-haw. All right. Well, thank you for that donkey today, sir.

Today would be a great day to do Freaky Freaky Friday, bro. Why do I say that? Why? Because I'm seeing this audio resurface of Dr. Oz when he was on The Breakfast Club in 2014.
Starting point is 01:15:16 And it says, Dr. Oz says cousin sex is okay. I forgot all about this. This is the Breakfast Club show. All right. Well, when we come back, Brandon Marshall, Pac-Man Jones will be joining us. It's Friday. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.

Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves, for self-preservation and protection. it was literally that step by step.
Starting point is 01:16:06 And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best.

I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel.

The Waikana tried my country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory.

On my podcast, A Slight Change of Plans, I marry science and storytelling to better understand how to navigate the big changes in our lives.
Starting point is 01:19:52 It was like a slow nightmare, you know, because every day you think, oh, surely tomorrow I'll be better. And I would dream of being better. At night, I would dream that my face was,-unquote normal or back to the way it was. And I'd wake up and there'd be no change. I also speak with scientists about how we can be more resilient in the face of change. You can think of the adolescent brain as like the social R&D engine of our culture. That something that looks like risky and idiotic to us is maybe their way of creatively trying to solve the problem of having social success
Starting point is 01:20:29 and fewer of the things that bring you social failure. Listen to A Slight Change of Plans on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. That's it, goodness gracious. Pac-Man Jones. Now, Pac-Man, you can't curse on this show. I heard you on the radio in Pittsburgh

Starting point is 01:21:01 They cut me off and then they called me up And said that was legendary Well you know that's a fine It's like a $250 fine Depending on what word it is Oh for real Yeah Depending on the word Well it was
Starting point is 01:21:12 Eat shit This is a horrible F***ing town It's like three of them That's funny when you say Stuff like that Cause you're talking to the fans I'm sure
Starting point is 01:21:21 Or the Steelers But when you go there It's probably some dude That you know Reps the city And like man why you say we a piece of town well you know what actually i haven't met that person because everybody know where i stand at between pittsburgh and west virginia or pittsburgh and cincinnati but every now and then you're always gonna have some somebody that's got something to say but like i'm not i have nothing against the people of pitts. I just don't like Pittsburgh.
Starting point is 01:21:46 You know what I mean? When he asked me to go to the camp to see the Steelers, I'm like, yo, hell no. It would be against everything that I stand for to do that. That's just me personally.
Starting point is 01:22:01 But you said you wanted to play for Mike Tomlin one time. I said I would have played for Mike Tomlin. But, you know, I don't have no problem with Mike Tomlin. Actually, Mike Tomlin is one of my good friends, I would say, as far as coaching wise. He actually hired Blaine Stewart, who dad was my coach
Starting point is 01:22:18 in West Virginia, who is also now the special teams coach in Pittsburgh. But it just, I can't do that, bro. Here's the problem, though. Like, we watch these games on Sunday. You see dudes beefing. But 95%, 97% of the time when they walk in the locker room, it's over, right?
Starting point is 01:22:41 They could be out there by the buses, families talking. You know, oh, yeah, that was nothing. So now he's three years out, done playing ball. He's still carrying his beef. Like, bro, that was football. We got paid to do that, bro. That was wild. I mean, I can't tell you how old I be.
Starting point is 01:22:53 I hope it's a long time. But what did they do to you that's that bad that you like holding this? Bro, it was just – it's not what they did to me. It's what I didn't get to do to them. But, like, just imagine this. Say, like, where you from? I'm from New York, Queens. Queens, right?
Starting point is 01:23:14 So let's just say one of your buddies that you really didn't like was down in Brooklyn. He's like, yo, man, I want you to come throw your birthday party here and start it back in Queens. Why don't you come chill, meet everybody, you know, get you some interviews, dah, dah, dah. What would you say? You'd be like, bro, that shit don't add up. Just don't you come chill, meet everybody, you know, get you some interviews. What would you say? You're like, bro,
Starting point is 01:23:25 that shit don't add up. Just don't add up. And my point to Brandon is, why put myself in a situation where I might have to take the seatbelt off? You get what I'm saying? Yeah,
Starting point is 01:23:36 but I would not F with him, not the whole Brooklyn. He's just like, I'm not going to Brooklyn. I'm not going to Brooklyn. Like F Pittsburgh and the record label staff and mother effing crew. If I'm not getting paid to go to Pittsburgh, you will not see Adam Jones,
Starting point is 01:23:52 where Brandon loves, loves the little shitty town. I'm from Pittsburgh. I'm from Pittsburgh. It's a little shitty town. Oh, you're from Pittsburgh. Oh, God damn, Brandon. That's the only reason. The only reason.
Starting point is 01:24:03 But, like, there's no reason for nobody to go there. You wouldn't go there unless you're getting paid. So you're telling me to do that. So what are you doing? What are you doing when black and yellow comes on in the club or on the radio? Oh, you know, I ain't that personal. I'm into music. So the music plays itself.
Starting point is 01:24:16 I just ain't into nothing with Pittsburgh when it comes to sports. Chilling in Pittsburgh. You know what I mean? That ain't Jones. Is there any other city you don't mess with like that? Nah, Pittsburgh might be the only one.
Starting point is 01:24:28 What they say, that's not P. Nah, dude. Hey, I won't say no, Pac-Man. You don't get enough credit for how you grown. Because there was a time when you was in the news
Starting point is 01:24:39 all the time for something. So why do you feel like people only, they whisper about your success but want to scream your failures you know because certain yourselves and at the time when I was the media would have been what it is today I came out and talked about every situation just because it's more open now now that's fair we have a voice when I see that a little bit the fact that
Starting point is 01:25:02 players can say what's on their mind and it gets out fast and they gotta be polite and nice? I actually like it. Because I'm one of those guys, like, even with my wife, we have physical frustration. Like, get your s*** off your chest, you know what I mean? And after 30 minutes, we'll move on. But I don't want you
Starting point is 01:25:20 bulls*** all day and being mad all day because you wanted to tell me something 30 minutes ago about the way I said something. That doesn't make sense. But if I had this media what they have right now, I would have had a chance to speak about everything.
Starting point is 01:25:34 You got to realize, when we was up under the shield, they was hiding us. It was like, yo, you can't tweet this. Yo, you can't say nothing after the game. If you say this,
Starting point is 01:25:42 you're getting fined. And our fines were really big. You talking about them fines that they find on radio? They find them saying 250s in the locker room, but it come out of my check. You get what I'm saying? When I choose to go against the rules or say something crazy
Starting point is 01:25:57 that might catch a clip on all of the new channels. Actually, when I cussed out Jerry Porter for the playoffs game, I got fined like $150 for that. Damn. Like for that rank. And they ended up giving me half of it back afterwards
Starting point is 01:26:13 because it was just insane that he was on the field. But, like, yeah, if I could have really just went on my podcast or went on our platform right after the game, oh, my God. Probably had two, three million people you know i mean watching or subscribing just from that moment and that's the difference from these younger guys that have the platform these days people watching it you know i mean so if you saying the right thing at the right time you can go and get you three four hundred people to watch what you say it It's a little bit more easier. Brandon,
Starting point is 01:26:47 expand on that. Why is it important for athletes to have control of their own narratives like y'all do now? Because it's a business. Point blank period. You got to think about how we get paid is because of the TV deals. You see these, they just expanded the college
Starting point is 01:27:04 football playoffs from eight 8 to 12 that's that's a difference in two billion dollars damn right so it's all about eyeballs so pack what he talking about you can go out there and some of these young guys in high school college if they're in the right place at the right time say the right thing do the right thing they could get to a million followers they can get to a million followers. They can get to a million subscribers. You know, you guys know this in a game, podcasting or radio. That's what it's all about. Now, how do you monetize that platform?
Starting point is 01:27:34 How do you monetize those followers? So we don't need to go to ESPN anymore. We don't need to go to FS1 anymore. We got our own platform. We got our own distribution. It's fucking YouTube. It's Instagram. It's TikTok, right? So now it's about do you have the foundation?
Starting point is 01:27:47 Do you understand the best business practices to build on top of that? I recommend all every guy out there start their own YouTube channel. I recommend every guy out there. Don't take the Nike deal. If they not offering millions of dollars because they not. There's only a handful of basketball players really making money off the field off the court there's only a handful of football players making uh millions of dollars off the field so go start your own brand your own platform you have a moment in the game you got guys making 300 000 after a game on a t-shirt damn now that's real like
Starting point is 01:28:20 des bryant made probably over $10 million on his ex. Throw up the ex. Julian Edelman playing with the Patriots made over $10 million with his T-shirt line. Right? Why would you go take that $100,000 Nike deal? That's real. All right, we got more with Brandon Marshall and Pac-Man Jones. So don't move.
Starting point is 01:28:39 It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with Brandon Marshall and, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with Brandon Marshall and Pac-Man Jones. Charlamagne? You know, is that why you got into the mental health space so heavy, Brandon?
Starting point is 01:28:53 Because, you know, you're talking about the physical aspects of football, but, you know, now we see that CTE clearly had an effect, too. Is that what got you into it? No, I think football got me there faster and exposed it faster, right? I think a lot of us us i say the etiology behind what we go through is environmental it's upbringing you know like the shit that i was doing and saying you go back to my neighborhood my grandma act like that my aunts act like that the neighbors act like that right so it's like you're a product of your environment. There's certain things out there. Some people living with anxiety or depression that, you know, those
Starting point is 01:29:27 are real things, you know, and everybody's case is different. But for me, when you start making mistakes at that level, and now you got Breakfast Club talking about you, you on ESPN, it does something to you when you're sitting there literally watching that.
Starting point is 01:29:43 You could be around people and they talking about you. got your mug shot up there right so now you start looking yourself in the mirror just a little bit differently because now you got you know millions of dollars on the line you got you know your legacy on the line you got your own goals on the line so what you gonna do some dudes look in the mirror and they say you know what i'm gonna continue go down the same path and they ass don't got nothing and it's over some dudes say you know what i'm gonna figure this out so for me i wanted to figure it out for so many different reasons in the league and it's and we were talking about this a little earlier like there's so many things that we have available to us but they made me go to get help and counseling right but it was like four or five years though
Starting point is 01:30:22 four or five years one time i was talking to four or five different people. I was like, just got a DUI. And they're like, oh, you got to talk to this substance abuse person. So now I'm talking to this person once a week. Then they had me talking to this damn person. You already know how it is. But you're taking it serious, though. I didn't.
Starting point is 01:30:36 I didn't. So the first four years, I didn't. And then when I got to the Miami Dolphins, right, and then I went to Ricky Williams, like, damn, Rick. I was like, because I couldn't control, you know, like how I talked. Like, you know, whatever I felt, I said. Right? F***ing coach says something, do something
Starting point is 01:30:51 dumb. Like, what the f*** are we doing? So, Ricky Williams, he just came out with a documentary 30 for 30. Right? So, as soon as I got traded there, signed this four-year extension, $47 million deal. Right? As soon as I touched down to Miami, he had this whole premiere. And so we all go there, and he's talking about mental health, right?
Starting point is 01:31:11 This is a dude that walked away from millions of dollars and went and lived in a tent in Australia. Like, what? Right? And then all of a sudden, I'm seeing him now, and he's a totally different cat. So you're watching this documentary, and you're seeing who Ricky Williams is today, is today right fast forward to the season terrible season and i just
Starting point is 01:31:29 couldn't control i come in i'm like yo you know i ain't gonna say nothing i know coach gonna be on something terrible some some some bull let me not say nothing and then i would just boom say so so i went to rick one day i was like damn. I was like, do you think I'm bipolar or something? You're right, because I'm thinking about his documentary. He said, no, B, I don't think you bipolar. I just think you say the things that we all want to say but shouldn't say. So I was like, okay. So I was like, who's that doctor?
Starting point is 01:32:02 You recommend I go talk to him? He's like, I don't know man i just think you know you just say the things that we all want to say and shouldn't say so that all season i end up going to mclean hospital in in waltham massachusetts and i sat down and they walked me through i did a clinical evaluation a neurological evaluation um i was in my mentalization therapy so i was up there for three months in an outpatient program so So right off top, I was diagnosed with a borderline personality disorder. The best way to describe it as emotional disorder. Can you regulate your emotions?
Starting point is 01:32:33 Can you cope with what's going on? Do you have the skills and tools? So what happens is you go in these programs. Some people inpatient. Some people need medicine. Some people outpatient. Some people as a mixture of both. For me, I was up there for three months in an outpatient program. I was
Starting point is 01:32:48 in dialectical behavior therapy. Dialectical behavior therapy is this group therapy that teaches you the skills and tools to be able to cope. Some people and a lot of us, and that's what I mean by environmental going on outside. Can you look at you and say, bro, you hurt my feelings. Can I look
Starting point is 01:33:04 at you and say, man, like let can i look at you and say man like let me just breathe give me a second let me go on the walk and then i'm gonna come back and we can pick this up no what we do we just respond right we react let me say that not respond we react right so that would that's what dialectal behavior therapy teaches then there's mentalization therapy a lot of us is black and white we just stuck in our ways so it helps you with your rationale help you process thing then you got cognitive behavior therapy then you got self-assessment self-assessment is just a group there but we sit around and just talk a lot of us don't even talk you don't how powerful that is just talking
Starting point is 01:33:38 looking at you and saying this was going on in my life right that was probably the most profound thing I've ever gone through forget mentalization therapy cognitive behavior therapy, or DBT. It was just sitting in a self-assessment listening to people talk. I love CBT. Alright. I know you fellas gotta go, so we gotta ask a couple questions.
Starting point is 01:33:56 Football season this year. Who you think is gonna take it this year? Cowboys, baby. Cowboys? He a cowboy, but he say that every year. I've been here 30 years. I'm consistent. Do you really think they're going to beat the Eagles? No. Hell no. I think the Eagles is going to go to the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:34:10 I think the Eagles. And the Super Bowl? I think the Eagles. What about the Bills? People have been saying the Bills. Eagles do look good, though. I think the Bills lose to my Bengals. He say your pick is the Eagles, Bengals, Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:34:23 Eagles, Bengals, Super Bowl. Okay, okay. What do you say, bro? I'm going to go with Russell Wilson, Denver Broncos. That's right. That's right. Yeah, I'm going to go with them boys, and then I'm going to go with the Rams to go back. I really want Todd Bowles, black head coach, head coach of the Jets for a while when I was playing.
Starting point is 01:34:41 I want him to get his with Tom Brady. But I think it's going to be the Rams and it's going to be the Broncos. What do you think of Brady's decision to come back after retiring? Think he should have left? Think it should have been a wrap? You think it's going to be like the Jordan when Jordan came back? Went into 45? I want to see. I want to see. He should have left after the
Starting point is 01:34:57 seventh ring. He should have left. That's it. Go out on top. Yeah, I felt like it was impulsive. Felt like it was something deeper. You know what I'm saying? He always said, I'm going to play until I'm 45 or this age or whatever. You know what it really was, bro. I know what it is. He got home, he was around,
Starting point is 01:35:13 he said, oh, I got to get my ass back to work. Then we got back to work, he had to go back. I'm going to be gone for 11 days. I ame live. Y'all got a tour this weekend, right?
Starting point is 01:35:31 Yeah, that's right. Talk to them, B. No, I mean, I think this is the first time. I mean, we trying to get in y'all lane. And, you know, what you guys been doing is legendary, right? Like, you guys, you know, have this amazing place and culture. And, you know, now you're seeing athletes do it more. And I think the next step for us is to connect with our audience.
Starting point is 01:35:49 So going live is special. How many times do we get texts and tweets where it's like, yo, I wish I was there. Can I come pull up on the show? So this is our opportunity to do it, September 10th. We're going to make an announcement. We got a couple local big-time athletes coming and, you know, an artist. So it's going to be cool.
