What is that?
Bullets.

Bash, bam, another one gone.
The crack of the bat and another one gone.
The tip of the cap, there's another one gone.
Each episode is about a different, inspiring figure from history.
Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus
nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Check it.
And it began with me.
Did you know, did you know?
I wouldn't give up my seat.
Nine months before Rosa, it was called a woman.
Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records.
Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise.

Good morning.
Good morning, USA.
Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo.
Good morning, Angela Yee.
Good morning, DJ Envy.
Charlamagne Tha God.
Peace to the planet.
It's Monday.
Yes, it's Monday.
Good morning.
We are here.
That's right.
Start of another work week, man.
You ready for that Powerball jackpot?
What is it, 1.9 right now?
1.9 billion dollars.
That's the largest lotto prize ever.
Yes.
Well, here's the thing about the lottery, right?
Powerball and Mega Millions.
I play it all the time regardless, you know?
Because, hey, you never know.
So we'll see.
$1.9 billion is a lot of money.
It's a lot of money.
It's a lot.
But you get, like, what, half of that or something like that?
That's fine.
That's still a lot.
No, I'll take that.
I think a little less than half if you pick the cash value.
A little less than half if you get the cash value, but, you know, it is what it is.
Something to do.
More importantly, tomorrow's election day.
That's right.
You know?
Did y'all just notice a bunch of police outside?
I didn't see any police. That's right. You know? Did y'all just notice a bunch of police outside? I didn't see any police.
Oh, man.
They walking up
and they're on the beat
and the cars are going
back and forth.
I'm like,
what the hell's going on
that we don't know about?
Y'all come from
a different direction.
I didn't see any police.
It's right there.
Look right there in the front.
You see,
there's a police station
like a block away,
but I don't ever see them
just walking on the beat
like that.
Well, maybe they're
getting to work
because when they start at 6 o'clock
they're walking into work. Maybe.
But then there's a lot of cars too, though.
All I know is everybody needs to look
alive tomorrow for Election Day.
The way things have been going in this country
with all the political violence,
I don't know. Everybody just look alive when you're at
the polls doing what you do. And guys,
do your sample ballots. That really helps me a lot.
You can go to
Ballotpedia.org, wherever you have to go, because I was going to say do. And guys, do your sample ballots. That really helps me a lot. You can go to like vote.
You can go to ballotpedia.org, wherever you have to go.
Because I was going to say vote.nyc, but that's just for here.
But wherever your state is, just make sure you go do your local ballot before you go there.
There's a lot of different things that you're voting for, a lot of different people that you're voting for.
So make sure you know who you're voting for.
Yeah, absolutely.
Yeah.
And you know what? This weekend was amazing as far as weather-wise.
My goodness, it was 75 degrees.
Usually it should be about, what, 30, 40 degrees?
Here in the tri-state.
Yeah, in the tri-state area.
Usually it should be about, what, 40 degrees.
This weekend it was like 75 degrees.
I was under the weather, man.
I was a little sick this weekend.
Really?
Yeah, just a little bit.
I know there's something going around that's touching on everybody.
You know, so I must have had that.
I must have caught that for a couple of days.
Yeah, I took the kids to the sugar factory and the kids were able to get their favorite
drinks with candy in them.
So we had an amazing time over the weekend.
Had a really good time, man.
The weather was beautiful.
Had a great, great, great time.
Hey, we here, man.
Let's get the show cracking.
We here.
Now, Alexis McGill-Johnson and LaFonza Butler will be joining us.
They're from Planned Parenthood and Emily's Emily's List will be chopping it up with them today.
And then we got front page news.
What are we talking about?
It's hot in here.
It is hot.
I said it when I walked in.
I said it's hot.
And it was funky when I came in.
And at the front desk, our guy at the front desk, he had Steve had his fan on.
That's hot.
I'm like, what the hell is happening out here, man?
It's really hot today.
It's November, bro.
But they said it's the last day in New York for it to be like this.
Good.
In the 70s. November 7th. Well, let's the last day in New York for it to be like this. Good. In the 70s.
November 7th.
Well, let's talk about, of course, you know, elections are tomorrow.
We'll give you some updates.
And then we'll also talk about Twitter.
Now they want some people that they fired last week to come back to work.
All right.
We'll get to that next.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Everybody, it's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
Let's get in some front page news.
Now in football, the Patriots beat the Colts.
The Lions beat the Packers.
Chargers beat the Falcons.
Jets surprisingly beat the Bills 2017.
Big win for the Jets.
Vikings beat the Commanders 2017.
Bengals beat the Panthers.
Jaguars beat the Raiders.
Dolphins beat the Bears.
Seahawks beat the Cardinals.
Buccaneers beat the Rams. Also, the Chiefs beat the Raiders. Dolphins beat the Bears. Seahawks beat the Cardinals. Buccaneers beat the Rams.
Also, the Chiefs beat the Titans.
All right?
Now, Monday night football, the Saints take on the Ravens.
And we got to congratulate the Houston Astros.
They win the World Series.
They won game six.
They beat Philly.
So congratulations to everybody out in Houston.
To the Astros.
That's back-to-back, right?
Didn't they win it last year, too?
They didn't?
They won it the year before last.
Yeah, the year before.
Okay.
Now, what else we got, Yeezy?
All right. Well, let's talk about voting,
and let's talk about these midterm elections that are happening tomorrow
is the finale for all of that.
There's a lot of people on the campaign trail.
Joe Biden is participating in a rally tonight in Maryland.
Former President Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, the Florida governor,
held events yesterday with Trump campaigning with Marco Rubio in Miami.
Joe Biden on Saturday and former President Barack Obama campaigned together in Pennsylvania.
And Trump also held a rally in that state as well.
A lot of people did early vote, though.
And so because of that, there's more than 40 million pre-election ballots that have been cast in 47 states. That means
that a couple of different things. You're not
going to know election night who
won. It's probably going to take a few days
to figure all of that out. And the
other thing that means, it does kind of set the state
for people to actually dispute
election results also.
Yeah, with the way voter suppression is set up, it's
just like, you know, how many of those ballots are going to
actually get counted? And, you know, I know in some states like Georgia, you know, the early voting is, it's just like, you know, how many of those ballots are going to actually get counted?
And, you know, I know in some states like Georgia, you know, the early voting is looking great for people like, you know, Stacey Abrams.
But we know that the other side comes out and votes on election day heavy, heavy.
So, you know.
All right.
So, guys, make sure you go out and vote.
And again, like I always say, do that sample ballot.
Find out who you are voting for, who's on the ballots, so that you know and have an informed decision when you go there and make your choices.
All right, now Twitter is asking some of the people that they fired to return to work.
Now they're asking dozens of employees who were laid off last week to come back in.
They're also delaying the rollout of verification check marks
from members of their monthly subscription service
until after the U.S. midterm elections.
Elon Musk also says Twitter will permanently suspend parody accounts unless it identifies themselves as a parody account.
So you have to you can't impersonate another person without identifying yourself as.

Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired, depressed, A little bit revolutionary?
Consider this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag.
I just kind of looked out of like,
this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Laudonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tribe owned country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a racket with a black powder,
you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams.
I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
For self-preservation and protection. It was literally
that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment
of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself. It's okay. Like, grace.
Have grace with yourself.
You're trying your best.
And you're gonna figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.

What's up, y'all?
This is Questlove, and I'm here to tell you
about a new podcast I've been working on
with the Story Pirates and John Glickman called Historical Records.
It's a family-friendly podcast.
Yeah, you heard that right.
A podcast for all ages.
One you can listen to and enjoy with your kids starting on September 27th.
I'm going to toss it over to the host of Historical Records, Nimany, to tell you all about it.
Make sure you check it out. Hey, y Historical Records, Nimany, to tell you all about it. Make sure you check it out.

Hey, everyone. This is Courtney Thorne-Smith, Laura Layton, and Daphne Zuniga.
On July 8, 1992, apartment buildings with pools were never quite the same as Melrose Place was introduced
to the world. It took drama and mayhem to an entirely new level. We are going to be reliving
every hookup, every scandal, every backstab, blackmail and explosion, and every single wig
removal together. Secrets are revealed as we rewatch every moment with you. Special guests
from back in the day will be dropping by. You know who they are. Sydney, Allison, and Joe are
back together on Still the Place with a trip down memory lane and back to Melrose Place. So listen
to Still the Place on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Being a parody of that person.
I don't think people are smart enough to understand parody accounts no more. I'm not gonna lie. I think even with a parody
account, people still think it's the actual person.
I think people are that stupid in this era.
A lot of people were also calling
themselves Elon Musk on Twitter, and
Elon Musk, they actually suspended Kathy Griffin's account because she participated in that trend where people changed their handle to Elon Musk.
Man, drop on the clues, boss, with Elon Musk.
You always delete somebody's account because you don't like something that they say.
His platform, his rules.
But I thought it was just a place of free speech.
I guess it's different when there's impersonations going on.
Free speech to you.
To you. But don't impersonate me a place of free speech. I guess it's different when there's impersonations going on. Free speech to you. To you.
But don't impersonate me and use your free speech.
Now, there was also this rumor going around that they were going to charge $16 if you
use the they, them pronouns on Twitter.
Hilarious.
Because they have this $8 monthly charge for staying verified on the platform.
Hilarious.
So there was a lot of people saying that that was happening, but that was just a rumor.
It was a joke.
They're not charging extra if you identify as they or them.
Now, that is a good one because I can understand the logic.
You know what I mean?
Because sometimes you'll be reading paragraphs and they'll be talking about they, but it'll be one person.
And you really do be confused.
You'll be like, well, if all of these people did it, how come this only one person is getting the blame?
But it's because they're using the pronoun.
So that would be hilarious.
And it makes a lot of sense
alright
well
we'll keep you updated
on what's happening
with Twitter
I saw some people
have gotten off of there
permanently
they say now
I ain't been on there
in four years
and that is your
front page news
alright
get it off your chest
800-585-1051
if you need to vent
phone lines are wide open
again
800-585-1051 let us know how your weekend, phone lines are wide open. Again, 800-585-1051.
Let us know how your weekend was, what you did.
Was it great? Was it amazing? Was it horrible?
Let us know. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
It's your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed.
You better have the same energy.
We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?
What's up, Envy?
What's up, Trav?
Is Ye finally there?
But I called in today.
Ye.
Hey, Trav.
Hey, boo.
She's been late a couple of days.
I was late one time.
Twice.
Once.
Twice.
What's twice?
Yeah, it was twice when I called Ye.
But that's fine because you're allowed to be late if you want to.
I don't really work here, but I was only late once.
What's up, sir?
Peace, sis.
What's the word?
You know the real football was bored yesterday because they couldn't hate on our team yesterday.
Hey, we didn't lose.
Right.
I ain't gonna lie.
It was boring.
The Giants, the Cowboys had a bye week.
The Eagles played on Thursday.
It was kind of boring.
I ain't gonna front.
Yeah, the NFC East wasn't in there.
I'll tell you something, though.
The AFC East is just as good as the NFC East, though.
Hey, bro.
Go look at the teams in the AFC East.
They all balling over there, too.
Well, I don't know what team in the AFC East is going to be playing the Cowboys in the Super Bowl,
but they're going to be playing the Cowboys in the Super Bowl.
Great chance that it's going to be an NFC East versus an AFC Cowboys in the Super Bowl, but they're going to be playing the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. Great chance that it's going to be
an NFC East versus an AFC East
team in the Super Bowl. Great chance.
Well, I do want to talk about something real quick
because, Yee,
you don't be reporting the real
rumors in a rumor report.
Like what? Like how
future baby mama
was trying to expose him
because his cakes ate, and I don't like that about her.
I'm sorry, so I didn't tell the story
you wanted to hear, so why don't you like that?
Because we need to stop
trying to expose these men for doing
things. They're trying to insult them
by trying to make it seem like they're gay.
Like it's an insult to be gay because
they like their little cakes ate.
Now hold on, did she say that he was gay because
of that or did she just say that he was gay because of that
or did she just say that he liked that?
That's what she's trying to insinuate.
That's why she's trying to embarrass him
by saying that.
Like, that's an embarrassing thing or something
because she a much.
Goodness gracious, Trav.
I don't know if that makes you gay.
I mean, the guys up here like it.
I mean, it doesn't make you gay,
but she's just trying to insinuate that
by saying that he was like,
oh, well, I'm not going to tell you how I was eating his.
I can't say that on the radio, but that's what she was trying to insinuate.
Is that the first thing you think about when you wake up on a Monday morning, Trav?
About future games at Tay-Tay?
Yeah.
Goodbye, Trav.
So now Trav wanted me to report that in the rumors, but then you said she was trying to shame him.
So don't you think I shouldn't report it?
Trav's going, hello, who's this?
Yo, Big Chalk with the toe sucker. Hello, who's this? Yo, Big Chocolate the Toast
How you doing, family?
Alright, alright.
Two quick things. I may not be talking to you
all for a while. I want you all to pray for me. I gotta
have surgery this month, but I wanted to say
thank you to you all. This is a very nice
thing you do for people every day.
But just get it off your chest and people are able
to call in and say that they're blessed
and you all help people with their problems.
So I just want to thank you all for that.
We'll be praying for you.
What's the surgery?
Got to get some bad teeth taken out, Ange.
Not from sucking toes, but yeah, I didn't take care of my teeth.
I know what you were sucking.
That's you and your undercover lover, Trav, brother, not me.
So you're going to an That rhymed You're going to an oral surgeon
Yeah
You're making it seem like they're going to put you to sleep
They are
To take your teeth out
Yeah, yeah
You'll be alright
Serious stuff, Envy
Yeah, yeah
So pray for me, bro
And two ends
Listen
I want you to get us some Mariah Carey concert tickets
You know she's coming to town
And I figure we'll go, right?
And it's okay if your hair's a mess.
Just wear a pretty dress.
And I get to listen to Mariah
and look at your chubby cheeks.
You cannot talk about anybody's hair
now with your rotting teeth in your mouth, okay?
That's facts.
That's facts.
All right, one love.
Go fix your mouth.
Fix your mouth.
Go fix your mouth.
Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, hit us up now. It's The mouth. Fix your mouth. Go fix your mouth. Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, hit us up now.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, hey.
I want to go by Bruce.
Okay, Bruce.
Okay.
So that's not your name.
That's not your name.
All right, but go, Bruce.
So a lot of people know this abortion is coming up off the ballot.
And with that being said, I want to give people a different perspective to look at.
So they say her body, her choice,
which is, you know, correct.
But here comes the
issue. The issue
that people don't see
is if she chooses to keep
that baby, it now doesn't
become her choice. It becomes an obligation
on the man.
And the woman.
And sometimes the man can
opt out of the situation altogether.
Yeah, but then that comes with child
support and the court system. Financial responsibility.
Yeah. Exactly.
Now, if she chooses to abort the
baby and the dad wants to keep
it, her body, her choice.
How is that equal?
It's not equal, but it's happening in her body. It how is that equal it's not equal but it's happening in her body it'll never
be equal a man's not going to be able to give birth to a baby so it is her body her choice
true at the same time so why not get the man to stand responsibility i think that's impossible
just like some women aren't ready to be mothers some men aren't ready to be fathers
well they shouldn't be having sex then because there's always a potential that that could happen.
I mean, there's other things that could happen from having sex too.
You just have to know when you go into a situation that you could potentially have a baby.
Anybody that you lay down with as a man, just know that there's a potential that this woman
could get pregnant and choose to have a baby.
And you just have to have that in your head.
And then you have a responsibility.
Exactly. So that's why I want to give people in your head. And then you have a responsibility. Exactly.
So that's why I want to give people a different perspective to think about when they go voting,
that it shouldn't maybe be all frilly-willy.
It should actually be considered a hard thought.
Because when you do lay down with someone, there is a possibility that, hey, a baby could
happen.
Goodbye, sir.
Okay.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, this is Chandler from Columbus, Ohio. Good morning Chandler what's up brother get it off your chest man this was going uh uh blast y'all
a little bit uh Angela you you know we're gonna miss you and everything but you can't be Charlemagne
coming late working from home coming in when you want. We need you to be there on time because your time is precious.
You guys, I was late one time.
It seemed like it's been 20 times.
What?
Are you kidding me?
I'm always here.
I don't know.
And then DJ Envy, man, I'm tripping off of how you got gypped on buying that card, man.
Come on now.
You know better than that, man.
No, you don't.
Look, it happens.
And I'm starting to think, I'm starting to, Charlamagne wasn't there, so I'm starting
to think he had something to do with it.
Nah, we just actually found out the person who did it.
We about to lock him up.
Wow.
Damn, tell me who it is I can warn my people in South Carolina, man.
Let's lock him up.
Nope, we about to lock him up.
Damn, Envy.
Because if they did it to me, they'd do it to a whole bunch of people, so we gonna get
him.
That's not true.
Yes, it is, because I actually went online and found out some other people they did it
to, but we gonna get them. That's not true. Yes, it is, because I actually went online and found out some other people they did it to, but we're going to get them.
But I told you.
As soon as you told me that you got guys, what did I say?
Orangeburg.
I said, that must be in Orangeburg.
What's with Orangeburg?
It's like here in Jersey, you know where to take a car when it's stolen?
Yes.
Same difference.
Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
Now, we got rumors on the way?
Yes. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. Now we got rumors on the way? Yes, we'll talk about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction,
but we'll also talk about Salt-N-Pepa getting their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
All right, we'll get it. And Spinderella.
We'll talk about it next.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
It's time, time, time.
She's spilling the tea.

the whole thing that's going to be shown
later on and it actually was five and a half
hours but they cut it down to three hours
when they actually show the whole thing.
So you'll get to see something. It's going to air
8pm November 19th on
HBO and it'll also be available for streaming
on HBO Max at that point.
Now the people in the class, Eminem,
Dolly Parton, Duran Duran,
Lionel Richie, Pat Benatar, Judas Priest,
Carly Simon Eurythmics and Jimmy Jam
and Terry Lewis have all been
inducted so congratulations to them.
Now, Dr. Dre inducted Eminem into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
And here's what he said.
Over 20 years ago, Jimmy Iovine, who was also one of tonight's inductees and one of my best friends,
played a demo tape for me from a guy who called himself Eminem. The first thing I said when I heard it was,
what the did he just say?
I loved it so much that I couldn't stop listening to it and a few days later Jimmy called me up and he said,
ain't drunk, you know he's a white guy right?
Completely me up. You know he's a white guy, right? Completely f***ing him
The last thing I was thinking about when I was listening to the music was that he was a white guy
It never even crossed my mind, but looking back. I don't know why it didn't cross my mind
He certainly didn't sound like a black rapper especially because of what he was saying
Not too long after that we met for the first time He certainly didn't sound like a black rapper, especially because of what he was saying.
Not too long after that, we met for the first time.
The first time I put on a beat, he got on the mic and said,
Hi, my name is Excellent Showman.
I can't believe they aren't pushing for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to change their name.
Why don't they just call it the Music Hall of Fame?
It's so much more than rock and roll, and it feels like it marginalizes the music all those other artists
make. What about hip-hop, R&B, pop?
You're just going to take everybody and put them in the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame? Right, well Lionel Richie
actually addresses that in his speech, and I guess
we'll see that when it airs, because the full thing
hasn't aired yet. All we have is video from people that were
there, and what people are saying
was said, so we won't be able to see
that quite as yet i wonder
what he said because i mean that's just common sense to me it's just like why just marginalize
everybody else's music and just say rock and roll all y'all going to rock and roll hall of fame i
know he was just talking about diversity and different things like that now eminem was inducted
for during his first year of eligibility which is not an easy thing to happen not a lot of people
get that so that happens 25 years after your first
commercial release. And so that's when
you become eligible. And he actually got inducted
right then. And what made
him eligible was his 1996
album, Infinite.
And that was three years before he
became a global, huge
superstar. I remember that. I remember because
he had that song. They used to be on the
Clue mixtapes. And he was like, if I had one wish, I wish for a big enough ass for the whole world to kiss. I think that. I remember because he had that song. They used to be on the Clue mixtapes. He was like, if I had one wish,
I wish for a big enough ass for the whole
world to kiss. I think that was Infinite.
That's all you remember, huh? I mean, that was a
dope freestyle. Now, Jay-Z also
provided a video tribute as well.
And I see Janet Jackson was there for Jimmy Jam
and Terry Lewis. So congratulations
to everybody who was inducted into the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yeah, congrats. I feel like Jimmy Jam
and Terry Lewis should have been in there.
Lord have mercy.
If they not first ballot Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, then who is?
I mean, Dolly Parton just got in.
That's what I'm saying.
She should have been first ballot.
I mean, them should have been first ballot, too.
They got to change into the Music Hall of Fame.
Carly Simon.
All right.
All right.
Now, Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella, Envy.
They got their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
So congratulations to them.
Yes, congratulations.
Well deserved.
Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella.
They should have had a long time ago, too.
So this is actually their first time being all together in public, all three of them, since 2019.
And here is what Spinderella had to say.
Salt-N-Pepa, life lessons.
We've been through it.
Ups and downs.
But I have to thank you for those lessons.
Because it wasn't just the music to me.
It was our relationship.
And that means everything to me.
So whatever we got to do to fix that, let's get some unity back in this.
Let's figure it out.
And be iconic
and be what the fans want.
Be what the fans want.
Yeah, it's two people I always think about when it comes
to groups. DJs, rather.
DMC, Jam Master, Jam
Spinderella. It's like, how do those two
get their proper credit when things like this happen?
DJ Jazzy Jeff. Well, he gets his credit because it's Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. You know what I how do those two get their proper credit when things like this happen? DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Well, he gets his credit
because it's Jazzy Jeff
and the Fresh Prince.
You know what I'm saying?
What about DJ Scratch?
With EPMD?
Mm-hmm.
I think of him with them.
Not necessarily.
Yeah, not as much
as Spinderella and J Master J.
I don't personally.
It's not to Scratch, though.
All right, now,
let's discuss
Saturday Night Live's Chris Redd.
And he was physically assaulted recently
in front of the Comedy Cellar in New York City
before he was supposed to perform a set.
It was all over the news.
And here he is talking about this
on the Last Laugh podcast.
What happened?
I just got done texting my cousin
who's in Olive Tree above the cellar
so I could go eat some of his
fries before I hit the stage real quick
for my first set of three.
And as I put my phone in my pocket
this man hit me
in the face with something.
I thought it was brass knuckles because of the way it cut
my nose to the bone.
I've been boxing for
years. So I know
first of all, I've taken a punch to the face before like boxing for like years so I know first of all I've taken a
punch to the face before so it wasn't like terrifying but what was uh worrisome is is how
much blood was coming out of my face I mean it was I mean look I got two fractures in my nose and a
and a fracture in my cheek it was safe to assume I was hit with something but dude just hit me ran
off man and I and I was sitting there I fell down so fast i didn't even know i failed until i looked
at the footage look to my guy chris red man the one thing that stands out to me from that story
is he gave a very specific detail he said he wanted to go eat some of his cousin's fries
before his set i want to know why he didn't get his own fries now here he is talking about using
this in his stand-up but i was wondering if you were at all tempted to to go inside and just get
on stage and start talking about it right then absolutely Absolutely, I was, man. If we could have stopped the bleeding,
I would have went on stage. That's just kind of what it was. I was like, oh, I can't wait to talk
about this. And now I'm glad I waited. But yeah, I mean, that was my first thought, because that's
why there's blood on the stairs of the comedy cellar Because I got hit, and I was like, ah, my set
That's all I can think about
I gotta go talk to the people
I'm like, I can't bleed on them, that's kind of weird
That's not the show they pay for at all
Have you started to think about how you might talk about it on stage at all?
Yeah, absolutely
I got some jokes, for sure
As many jokes as other people have
Nobody has as many jokes about this as I do
Does he know the reason it happened? Did he explain that? jokes for sure. As many jokes as other people have, nobody has as many jokes about business than I do.
Does he know the reason it happened?
Did he explain that? Was it personal, random,
a robbery? What was it? I know in the news they were saying it seemed like a robbery.
But did they take anything?
They don't sound like they took anything. They were waiting
for him. They punched him in the face.
That don't sound like no robbery. Well, this is a preview
for this episode of The Last Laugh.
It was only a fiveminute preview. So I guess
if you want to hear the full story, you
can subscribe and listen to the
podcast. Okay. All right. And that
is your rumor report. All right. We got front-page
news next. What are we talking about? Yes.
And let's talk about not just elections
tomorrow, midterms, but we'll
also talk about Kyrie Irving. Nike
has suspended their relationship with him, and
there are some things that he must
do if he wants to return to the Brooklyn Nets.
We'll tell you what those six items are.
We'll get to that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club. Your mornings
will never be the same.
When it's time to get with someone special
the best way to do it is with Magnum
large size condoms. That gold
foil wrapper is a badge of honor
and it means you're protected.
And you take care of things with comfort.
Accept no substitutes.
Bring the pleasure with the gold standard.
Magnum.
Large-sized condoms.
All right.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ, Envy, Angelique, Charlamagne, the guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Boy, is it hot in here today.
It is hot.
It's definitely warm.
All right.
Well, let's get into some front-page news.
All right. Now, let's get into some front page news.
All right, now, Sunday Night Football.
The Patriots beat the Colts.
The Lions beat the Packers.
Chargers beat the Falcons.
The Jets beat the Bills.
Vikings beat the Commanders.
Bengals beat the Panthers.
Jaguars beat the Raiders.
Dolphins beat the Bears.
The Seahawks, they beat the Cardinals.
The Buccaneers beat the Rams.
And the Chiefs beat the Titans. Now, we got to congratulate the Houston Astros for winning the World Series.
Congratulations to them.
Drop the ball for them, man.
Salute to H-Town.
And in Monday Night Football, the Saints take on the Ravens.
How the Lakers been doing?
Anybody know?
I have no idea how the Lakers been doing.
They lost yesterday.
They lost to the Cavaliers.
Cavaliers are great. They're like eight and a half. Cavs are really good. Cavs are doing. They lost yesterday. They lost to the Cavaliers. Cavaliers are great.
They're like eight and a half.
Cavs are really good.
Cavs are really good.
All right, what else we got, Yeezy?
All right, well, don't forget that voting,
the midterm elections are tomorrow,
so make sure if you haven't already early voted,
like more than 40 million people have done already,
you can still vote until tomorrow night.
You got to look at your
local areas to see what time that deadline is. But here is Barack Obama talking about the
importance of making sure that everyone gets out and votes. Politics that we're seeing right now,
that doesn't have to be who we are. And it has nothing to do, by the way, with political
correctness or being too woke. It's about fundamental values that
my grandparents from Kansas taught me. Values we try to teach our kids. Values we learn in churches
and mosques and synagogues and temples. Honesty, fairness, opportunity, hard work, values that were enshrined in our founding documents a few miles from here.
A clarion call for freedom and equality that Philly's own Liberty Bell represents.
That's what America stands for.
Why are you screaming?
I was going to say the same thing.
Since when Barack became a screamer?
He was never a screamer like that.
He sounded like Lil Jon.
It's an urgent time, guys, for people to get out and vote.
He sounded like Lil Jon.
Get drunk, mother!
Get drunk!
Get drunk, mother!
Get drunk!
Okay!
Damn!
All right, now let's talk about Kyrie Irving.
Nike has suspended their relationship with Kyrie effective immediately.
They'll no longer be launching his new Kyrie 8.
And part of their statement,
at Nike, we believe there is no place
for hate speech and we condemn any form of
anti-Semitism. We are deeply saddened
and disappointed by the situation
and its impact on everyone.
That's pretty performative on Nike's part though
because they announced earlier this year that they probably weren't
going to continue
their relationship with Kyrie Irving.
Yeah, it was already in question. He called the finished design
of the last sneaker trash.
Trash, exactly.
And they didn't like that, basically.
So they said they probably wouldn't continue the relationship.
So it's kind of performative to jump into it now and say, hey, we're cutting ties with him.
There were reports that the Kyrie 8 would be his last sneaker with the company.
That news had never been confirmed by Nike, though.
And Kyrie did apologize for his actions.
He said to all Jewish families
and communities
that are hurt
and affected from my post,
I am deeply sorry
to have caused you pain
and I apologize.
Now, LeBron James
was speaking at the Lakers
post-game press conference
and here's what he said.
I don't condone any hate
to any kind,
to any race,
to Jewish communities,
to black communities,
to Asian communities.
You guys know where I stand.
It's part of the reason why I didn't air the shop episode, why we kicked that out of the
archives, because there was hate conversation going on there, and I don't represent that.
There's no place in this world for it.
Nobody can benefit from that, and I believe what Kyrie did caused some harm to a lot of people.
He has since, or last, I think, yesterday, I apologize,
but he caused some harm.
I don't think it's unfortunate, but if you are promoting or soliciting
or saying harmful things to any community that harm people,
I don't respect it.
I know LeBron's so happy to have to talk about something
other than the Lakers being terrible.
2-7.
2-7.
I saw him yesterday talking about the Migos.
God bless takeoff.
He was talking about how long he'd be listening to the Migos.
I'm like, man, he's so happy to be talking about anything other than basketball.
All right, now, according to this report,
the Nets have delivered six items that Kyrie must complete
to be able to return to the team.
Apologize, condemn the movie.
$500,000 donation.
Didn't he do that already, though?
To anti-hate causes, sensitivity training, anti-Semitic training.
Meet with the Anti-Defamation League and Jewish leaders.
And also meet with Joe Sy, the owner of the Nets, to demonstrate understanding.
He did two of those things already, right?
Well, he has to do all of those things.
All right. And that is your front page news Well, he has to do all of those things. All right?
And that is your front page news.
Before he can come back and play.
Yes.
He has to complete those things to be able to return to the team.
They got Kyrie collecting the Infinity Stones.
Kyrie got to collect six Infinity Stones before he can come back.
All right.
Well, when we come back, we're going to be talking to Alexis McGill-Johnson
from Planned Parenthood and LaFonza Butler from Emily's List.
All right, so don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Power 105.1.
The Breakfast Club.
Your mornings will never be the same.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We have some special guests joining us this morning.
We have LaFonza Butler.
Did I say that right?
You did.
And Alexis Johnson.
Did I say that right?
Alexis McGill Johnson.
Alexis McGill Johnson.
Welcome from Planned Parenthood and Emily's List.
Welcome.
Thank you.
So let's talk about what Emily's List is first, LaFonza.
I was going to say the same thing.
What is Emily's List?
So that people know because you are the first black woman to actually be the president of Emily's List. I am. And I think the
most important thing sort of first off is that Emily is actually not a person. It's an acronym.
And it is it means it stands for early money is like yeast. It makes the dough rise. What we do is we work to help
Democratic pro-choice women get elected
to office all across the country
up and down the ballot.
And making sure that they have the resources
early in their campaigns
to be taken seriously
and to continue to get
more support and
more endorsements
and investments in their campaign.
And so we've been an organization that has been developed since,
created since 1985.
And I am the first black woman and first mom to lead Emily's list.
Congratulations.
Alexis, do you want to talk about Planned Parenthood?
Do you want to clear up any misconceptions?
Because Planned Parenthood has been in the news lately.
Yes, indeed.
Look, Planned Parenthood continues to be the largest provider of sexual and reproductive health care across this country.
We are, you know, we provide everything, right, from birth control, family planning, STI testing, to abortions where we we can in states where we can. And we are oftentimes the first
point of entry for many of our communities
into the
healthcare system. And so we continue to do that.
And I don't even want to repeat these kind of
conspiracy theories, but it's good for y'all to be on this
platform to really give the real
information. Kanye West, he was on
Drink Champs and he claimed that Planned Parenthood
conspired with the KKK
to control the black population.
Well, that is not true.
And look, I mean,
I don't want to... We have this fight with
Kanye, I think, every other year.
On the reality.
But, you know what I mean, really,
like I said, Planned Parenthood has been serving
communities, providing care
in our communities for over 100 years.
And not just abortion.
Yeah, more than just abortion.
Way more than abortion.
That's what I said.
Birth control, STI testing, you know, health care.
I mean, basic health care, primary care in many communities.
And we are all across the country.
And, you know, look, what I say to Kanye, what I say to all the other haters, right, is I trust women.
I trust black women to make their decisions about their own bodies.
And that's the thing, right?
And it was I think it was Fox News.
He said they probably saying it all over.
I don't remember.
But he also said that, you know, when they asked him to come visit the Holocaust Museum, he said, let's go visit my Holocaust Museum, which is Planned Parenthood.
And I'm like, well, people made choices to have abortions.
That's the difference.
I know.
Nobody made a choice to die
in the Holocaust. Yeah, exactly.
I mean, look, I can't keep
fighting with Kanye, right? I mean, I think that he is.
Now let me ask you about overturning
Roe versus Wade. How has that affected
Planned Parenthood? Because I know people
always affiliate that
freedom of choice and then they try to
shut down Planned Parenthood in different states.
How has Planned Parenthood's numbers been affected as far as locations that are still existing?
You know, look, I mean, the majority of work that we do is provide access to family planning and all these other tests, right?
So, you know, Planned Parenthood continues to stay in community.
But really the impact isn't on Planned Parenthood. It's on the patients. Right. We have we are seeing people travel 400 miles one way on average, getting in a car, driving 11 hours,
taking half of their medication, abortion pills in the state where it's legal and then self-managing themselves on the way back.
That's dangerous. It's dangerous. It's horrific. And it is. It's brutal. It's a burden that we are putting on people traveling.
So that's where my concern is right now. What's happening to providers, what's happening to the criminalization.
Right. The fear that people have when they're traveling, they're worried about getting pulled over, coming back into the state because many of these leaders have talked about, you know, trying to ban getting out of state.
They're literally saying the states will hold them hostage. Like that's the kind of stuff.
If you help somebody get access, give them criminal. Even if you give them information.
Yeah.
Universities don't want to give students information about how to get out of state.
Like, that's the kind of stuff that I think we need to be really vigilant about because of the surveillance and the criminalization.
I was going to ask if there's any change of possibly changing facilities, right?
A lot of times when you drive by a Planned Parenthood, you see people protesting and they have the huge whatever out
there and these signs. And it has to be hard for somebody who's already making a difficult decision
in most cases. But now I have to face that on my way in or on the way out. Have you guys thought
about possibly changing some of that so people wouldn't have to deal with that? Well, I mean,
the right to protest is, you know, right under the Constitution. And so, you know, what we can do is
provide security.
We make sure that our patients come in.
But we have to be clear,
this is also about stigma and shaming.
That is one of the strategies.
Misinformation, stigma, shaming,
those are all the ways that people try to intimidate folks trying to get access to care.
Now, LaFonza, with elections coming up,
I wanted to talk to you about this being a topic
that's on the ballot, the right, freedom of choice, right?
And so I keep seeing on the news that this is not something that's driving people.
They're more concerned about the rise in crime and the economy.
So what are your thoughts from what you've been seeing as far as people voting?
Because I feel like we need to make sure that people are still knowing that that is an issue that's on the ballot.
Look, I think it's clear.
It's one of the fundamental freedoms that's on the ballot? Look, I think it's clear. It's one of the fundamental freedoms
that are on the ballot this November.
And look, every poll taken since the passage of Roe
has shown that the majority of the American people
support the American people having access
to abortion care and reproductive services.
Just yesterday, or just over the weekend,
Gallup polls showed 44 percent of respondents saying that abortion was an extremely important issue for which they were preparing to vote in less than freedom, our ability to make choices about our
own body is as essential to the demonstration of our democracy as it is to go and vote. And in my
opinion, those two things are inextricably linked. Our ancestors have fought for not just the right
to vote, but black women had never had control over our bodies.
We were told when we were going to have children,
we were told when we were going to have children,
whose child we were going to have.
And now that we have fought and many died
for not only the right to vote,
but the right to make decisions about our own bodies,
it's that bodily autonomy.
It is that fundamental freedom
that I think we've got to go vote for
this November and send a loud
and clear message that we are in control of
our own bodies and our own future,
and we're going to only elect those who
support that majority will. But it's interesting, right?
Because we say that, but then, you know, you have somebody
like President Obama who sat down with Planned Parenthood
and told Planned Parenthood this was
a priority for him. He was going to codify Roe v. Wade when he got in.
But then when he got in, he said it wasn't high up on his list of priorities.
So what do you think about that?
I think we were all lulled into a sense of a false sense of security because we had Roe v. Wade.
Right. We didn't need to codify it when we actually had the Roe v. the law of the land.
And every single candidate for the Supreme Court said that they would follow precedent.
Right. I mean, you know, on the record, they clearly lied about it.
And they, you know, with quickness overturned Roe.
But I think that, you know, the opportunity we have now, if we get to 52 senators,
we have a president that we can hold to the fire around this.
He said he's willing to get rid of the filibuster.
He said that codifying Roe would be his first act of business.
And the John Lewis voting bill would be the second, right?
I believe when I see it.
I hear you on it.
The only other thing that I would add to Alexis's point is that we actually never,
President Obama actually never had a pro-choice Democratic Congress.
He had a majority Democratic Congress.
There's always a problem.
But every Democrat that we elect has not been pro-choice.
And so I think that adding these lenses to how we view candidates is incredibly important.
And sure, President Obama fell short.
And the folks that we elected were not standing in lockstep with the American people.
And I think that's important.
All right.
We got more with Alexis McGill-Johnson from Planned Parenthood and LaFonza Butler from
Emily's List.
When we come back, it's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it with Alexis McGill-Johnson from Planned Parenthood and LaFonza Butler
from Emily's List.
I was going to ask, you know, sometimes you see these politicians that say they're pro-life, right?
That Herschel Walker.
And then you dig into their background and that you see that they visited Planned Parenthood a couple of times.
What are your thoughts when you hear that from different politicians and senators?
I mean, the hypocrisy is real, right?
I mean, you know, you look at the Walker race right now and the fact that a second accuser now has come out saying that he um uh demanded that she get an abortion it it's you know i think it is it's just hypocritical
right i think that the republican party says that they stand for all these values they said they
stand for pro-life and literally the same states that they are putting all these abortion laws in
are the same states that have the highest maternal mortality rate for black women so like i you know i it just it it doesn't die right in in the right way and i and i think that people will
they see it um but i think they're voting for power right that's like disqualifying that's it
you know we all have these reasons why we think you know there was such a push to end abortion
rights why do y'all think there was such a push to end abortion rights? I think Alexis just called it out, right?
This is about power.
This isn't about policy.
This is a party that is in absolute pursuit of control of this country.
And I think control of the country means control over not only who you vote, where you vote,
but then who is born and who lives and who gets the resources that they need
for their communities and their children to thrive.
And I think we can't disconnect voting from power.
This is about power building,
and that is what they are ultimately after, in my opinion.
I was going to say,
even if you think about black women in our bodies
and how even with hysterectomies,
a lot of times you go to the doctor and they're like, oh, you have to have a hysterectomy and you don't know any better.
And then you end up having hysterectomy and that's taking away some power over your body.
And like you said, the mortality rate for black women higher in all of these places than for any other race of women.
And so now being told that you have to, like you said, travel. And I see some corporations are providing transportation,
but now you have to go to your job and tell them something
that you might rather be intimate for yourself
and not have to let your job know is happening.
And so that means time off from work.
That means you have to travel somewhere.
And I also feel like it is important for us,
with these corporations that we shop with or that we support.
What are they? What's their stance? Right.
When it comes to women and the right to choose.
What do you think about that?
I mean, I think it's it's critically important that corporations, what they've done for their workforce, they need to do for their consumers and their communities.
And the way they need to do that is to actually, you know, kind of stop the lifeblood of giving all the corporate money
to these same lawmakers that are making these things. They're giving them money,
they're empowering them. And these lawmakers have no accountability to their constituents.
They don't have to be because they've created the rules. They've gerrymandered all their districts
so that they can take these votes out of and be out of sync with the people who live in their states. And, you know, what LaFrance is talking about in terms of the sync between voting
rights and and reproductive rights is the fact that, you know, between this election and the
next election, like it is literally we're looking at the possibility of the end of democracy.
They will have all of these spaces. And, you know, if we don't actually turn out and show
up in this election and next election,
that's going to be a wrap.
I mean, just look at every
state that has introduced
voting rights constraints,
introduced reproductive rights constraints.
And, you know, we talk
a lot about Texas. And look at the
bill numbers. I mean,
SB 8 was abortion rights.
SB 1 was voting rights.
And that is the same in Florida.
It is the same in Georgia.
It is the same in Oklahoma.
This is fundamentally, Charlamagne, to your earlier point, about power.
This is about 270 electoral college votes.
It is about having the power to gerrymander districts to make sure that they always have the majority in Congress and ensuring that by ensuring that they have the majority in Congress, that we just leave the state of Texas or we just don't even go to the state of Texas.
We'll just go to California or New York or Illinois. So they don't even have to worry about us voting in Senate elections.
They've now, with that methodology, controlled every level of government that will make national decisions about our fundamental freedoms
and whether or not this is going to be a democracy for generations to come.
And I think Alexis has just named it, right?
Like we have four years to fight for this thing that I think my daughter deserves.
And I think that all of America's children deserve.
And we are leaning in.
We are absolutely leaning in to do that.
And absolutely our sons as well.
I'm just saying for the past two years,
the death of democracy is upon us.
And the midterms is going to be that,
that,
that marking point,
but it scares me,
right?
Because it's like,
we have these people in positions of power now,
and I don't personally feel like they're doing enough to protect us.
I feel like Republicans are always on the offense,
offense,
offense,
and Democrats have zero defense to prevent that.
So I'm going to vote, but I don't have any hope, to be honest with you.
Well, and Vice President Kamala Harris, this has been, you know,
a strong stance for her, but I also feel like it's been not amplified enough.
What do you think can be done, you know,
to the point of Republicans are so aggressive and very much on the offense.
What can President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris be doing better?
I mean, being out there, I think you're right. I mean, she has been tireless. Let me tell you,
she has been all over the country. She's been meeting with state legislatures, with providers,
with patients, hearing their stories. We have been in the rooms with her. I'll tell you, she is really good.
She is really good in those conversations,
talking about, you know, helping people connect the dots.
And again, you know, I feel like LaFonza and I are on the same page.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary?
Consider this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag.
I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of
looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There's 55 gallons of
water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of
Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of
Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why Waikana tribe own country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No
country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a
black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my god. What is that? Bullets. Bullets.
We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey guys, I'm Kate Max.
You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show,
where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs,
and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast, Post Run High,
is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories,
their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together.
You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout?
Well, that's when the real magic happens.
So if you love hearing real, inspiring stories from the people you know, follow, and admire,
join me every week for Post Run High.
It's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the heart of it all.
It's lighthearted,
pretty crazy, and very fun. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,

Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams.
I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step.
And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going.
This increment of small, determined moments.
Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself.
It's okay.
Like grace.
Have grace with yourself.
You're trying your best.
And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.

Sup, y'all. This is Questlove, and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast I've been working on
with the Story Pirates and John Glickman called Historical Records.
It's a family friendly podcast.
Yeah, you heard that right.
A podcast for all ages.
One you can listen to and enjoy with your kids starting on September 27th.
I'm going to toss it over to the host of Historical Records, Nimany, to tell you all about it.
Make sure you check it out.
Hey, y'all.
Nimany here.
I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records.
Historical Records brings history to life through hip hop.
Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history. Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Check it. Did you know, did you know I wouldn't give up my seat Nine months before Rosa
It was Claudette Goldman
Get the kids in your life excited about history
by tuning in to Historical Records.
Because in order to make history,
you have to make some noise.
Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, everyone.
This is Courtney Thorne-Smith, Laura Layton,
and Daphne Zuniga.
On July 8, 1992, apartment buildings with pools were never quite the same
as Melrose Place was introduced to the world.
It took drama and mayhem to an entirely new level.
We are going to be reliving every hookup, every scandal, every backstab, blackmail and explosion,
and every single wig removal together. Secrets are revealed as we rewatch every moment with you.
Special guests from back in the day will be dropping by.
You know who they are.
Sydney, Allison, and Joe are back together on Still the Place
with a trip down memory lane and back to Melrose Place.
So listen to Still the Place on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. all the time around around voting repro you know all of these education bills everything she she
is seamless in connecting the dots there i think the limitation right is that they need a congress
to work with right in the same critique of obama they need they need a congress that actually works
and you know we don't have a have a pro-choice Senate majority.
That's the problem, right?
We got somebody in there who's holding all the cards.
That's why we need to get to 52.
Joe Manchin.
You got to say his name.
Kristen Sinema.
You got to say that name.
That's what they don't do.
You have to call them out.
Shame them.
Yes.
Joe Sinema.
Joe Manchin.
That's a good name for the hell I do. him. Yes. Joe Cinema. Joe Cinema. That's a good name for Joe Cinema.
That was a Freudian slip if I ever heard one.
Joe Cinema.
Joe Cinema.
Get rid of them both.
On our altars.
I also want to know, people always ask, how can they help, right?
And how do you, whether it's financially, whether it's just showing up,
how can you break down how people can help enjoy what you guys are doing?
I think it's one of the things that I always get asked,
because I think you're right, Charlamagne.
People have gotten hopeless.
And I sort of refer to it as being sort of distracted by our despair.
And I think we started to ask ourselves,
what can I do to have the most impact? what can I do to create the biggest change?
And I just sort of say to my my friends that I grew up with in Mississippi, don't try to have the most change.
Just do something. Do one thing. Do you know if you can do one thing, two things, five things, but like just do something.
It is the collective action of all of us that actually are going to have the biggest change, create the most impact.
And so what I always suggest to folks is like find an organization that you care about and dedicate yourself to it.
Don't just do the, you know, this is the election.
So I'm going to give to this person or I'm going to give to this organization.
You know, or it's hard for organizations to plan that way
when they don't know if you're going to come back next year as a donor.
But find an organization and say,
I'm going to give $5 every month from come hell or high water
to the time that I'm done,
or I find a new organization that's going to help to amplify what I care about.
But find one organization and be dedicated to it.
The other is that we all have the opportunity
to go and vote.
Even in our
despair, we have
the responsibility to go and make sure that
our voice is heard and our vote
is cast.
And the last thing that I will say after spending
20 years in the labor movement, find somebody
else to go with you.
It's your one, but
it's your one plus the five friends that you
chop it up with every single day.
Let's just go make sure that we are taking care
of our own sphere of influence
and choosing to do one thing
that can make a bigger
difference. Well, don't move. We have more with
Alexis McGill-Johnson and LaFonza Butler
from Planned Parenthood and Emily List.
Don't move. It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
My body is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it with Alexis McGill-Johnson from Planned Parenthood and LaFonza Butler from Emily's List.
Charlamagne?
Question.
And once again, I'm going back to some of the stuff that was spewed the past couple of weeks.
But 50% of black deaths a year, they're not abortions, right?
No.
Okay.
That was a stat that he put out there. That was a stat that he put out there.
That was a stat he actually put out there.
He said that 50% of, and I'm by he, I mean Kanye,
50% of black deaths a year are abortion.
No, that is not correct.
Have you thought about suing him for some of the things
that he put out that weren't true about your organization?
Defamation?
I mean, you know, here's the thing.
With all due respect, I think the? I mean, you know, here's the thing. I, with all due respect,
I think the man is having, you know,
been living in a public breakdown
for the last few years.
I agree.
And, you know, and a lot of stuff
that's coming out of his mouth
is absolutely insane.
It's offensive.
It's racist.
It's anti-Semitic.
It's just like...
Anti-black.
Anti-black.
It is just all wrong, right?
And I think we give him too much oxygen.
Right. I think we need to dispel. I mean, I'm concerned about the impact, quite frankly, that he's having, particularly on black men.
And we're you know, and and I think it's right to correct the misinformation.
But, you know, I mean, he's exhausting. What is this that is there even a number? There's not a number like that. I mean,
I think that the the majority of people who have acts who access abortion are already parents.
There are people who are making decisions about whether or not it is the right time to expand
their family or or and, you know, or say the family is as it is. Right. And I just had that
conversation the other day. Right? Where'd he go?
Oh, why are you over here?
Remember, I was telling you, a lot of times there's this misconception of who is actually having abortions.
And a lot of times it is women who are like, all right, I already have three kids.
I'm good.
You know, we're not ready to have another one.
This wasn't something that was planned.
And with whatever you decide you want to do with your family, you can make that decision and that choice.
And to that point, there's also, you know, women who are getting pregnant, who want to have a child, who for whatever reason are having the medical difficulties and need to have an abortion to save their own life. Their own life, correct.
Their own life.
I think there's much more attention being paid to the stories that frankly have been happening all the time.
Right.
But that are getting a lot more exposure for people to learn about what it is like to be a woman carrying a child with these kinds of physical
ailments or medical conditions. I think all of us have learned more about ectopic pregnancies in
this conversation than we ever thought we wanted to know. It is dangerous to carry a child. And while incredibly, you know, an incredible blessing, it can be incredibly
dangerous for a woman's body. And to say that, you know, any elected official, call it Joe Sinema,
should be in that doctor's office, should be in that doctor's office. I think it's just an insult
to the person who's having that child
and who has to make that difficult decision whose body is going through so much trauma.
And let's not forget the mental anguish, the mental health that is associated with making
some of these decisions, making the decision to have an abortion. It's just like, what are we
really talking about here? Why do
we need Joe Sinema? I know we all
make, I'm sort of going with Alexis'
surname here, but
it's like, why do we need Joe Sinema?
Let's get Joe Sinema to
invest in mental health services
and access
across the country. Let's get Joe
Sinema to invest in more rural clinics
in communities across the country.
And then we can really talk about whether you're pro-life or not.
Do you guys get death threats and things like that?
We have security.
You know, I'm just wondering because we're seeing everything just happen.
My man out there shaking his head like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mentally, that has to be draining when
this is something that people are very passionate about and there are some people out there we saw
somebody just break into nancy pelosi's house and attack her husband you know has there ever
been like major concerns i mean it's it's real i mean you know i don't i don't put on pink and
you know run into the middle of, you know, an evangelical church.
But we are cautious.
We have folks who who assess the scene.
You know, we know many of many of the faces because they've been the ones who've been we we have on camera because they're outside the clinics to your point.
And many,
you know,
fun fact,
when January 6th happened,
a lot of our security were able to identify specific people in the crowd
because they had been the same people who were protesting outside of our
clinics over the years.
So,
yeah,
so we,
we keep a close eye.
Let's not forget Margarita.
Let's not.
And I look,
I think,
um,
Angie,
the point that you raise is, um, is a concern that I have in terms of the future of women running for office.
You know, the attacks that Speaker Pelosi's husband just faced, the dangerous nature now of just having a conversation and engaging in civic discourse.
What does that mean for young people who we need to be future public servants,
who we need to actually continue advancing democracy for generations to come?
Are they going to be scared off from this and not be engaged in and being champions and fighters for the future?
I think that this is a real crisis, not only for our democracy in this moment,
but for our country as a whole moving forward. Young people are going to are not we can't just
see them as voters when it's election time. We have to see them as leaders all year long. And
we have to see them as folks who are going to be the future leaders in these chambers of power and
at these tables of power. And we've got to correct this moment so that we can ensure that they are that they don't lose hope in their own leadership.
And we see what's happening with Twitter now. And so I know people are concerned about that.
Even being able to express yourself, but knowing that you can be bullied, harassed, threatened and potentially we don't know, you know know what direction it's going in for real but
you know those are real things because that's how you reach people with these social media
platforms as well and every study that we have seen from harvard to the barbara lee foundation
has said that misinformation and disinformation is more is disproportionately directed towards
women and women of color who are running for office. And if we will truly want a representative democracy,
we've got to make sure that women and women of color in particular are elected in these halls of power
so that our experiences can be a part of decision making.
Katonji Brown Jackson is, I think, a clear representation of that,
how she is showing up in this conversation about affirmative action and the case that
the court just took up.
Her experience, her lived experience as a black woman may not change the outcome of
the number of justices who vote.
But I think there is a history and a record that is going to reflect what the lived experiences
of black women has been in the space of higher education and other arenas that would not
be there but for her presence
and making sure that we continue to have that representative democracy at all levels of government
and across those different chambers, I think is an incredibly important part of how we win the future.
I agree, but I would prefer for them to have more Senate seats so they can, you know, expand the Supreme Court.
First bid is first.
And add three or four more Ketanji Brown checks. That's exactly Court. First bid is first. And add three or four
more Ketanji Brown chaps.
That's exactly right.
That's exactly right.
Absolutely.
We are not limited
to just one.
All right.
Well, thank you guys
for joining us again.
We appreciate you guys
and you guys are welcome
to come up here
anytime you need to.
All right.
Thank you.
All right.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Come on.
Angela Yee,
Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
It's so goddamn hot in here, man., we are The Breakfast Club. It's so goddamn
hot in here, man.
I figured it out
though.
It's because it's
November 7th and
usually the heat
kicks in because
it's supposed to be
fall and winter.
Yes.
70 degrees.
That's right.
So that's why it's
so hot in here right
now.
Yeah, but the heat
is running.
We should be able
to turn the heat
off.
It feels like the
air is on now.
It does a little
bit.
It's getting a little
better.
Well, let's get to
the rumors.
Let's talk Her Loss.
Listen up.
It's just in.
All the gossip.
Gossip.
The Rumor Report.
Gossip.
Gossip.
With Angela Yee.
It's the Rumor Report.
The Breakfast Club.
All right.
Well, the Drake and 21 Savage collaborative album, Her Loss, is generating, it looks like,
about between 335,000 to 350,000 first-week units.
That is no surprise.
Drake could fart on 12 tracks and sell a couple hundred thousand records.
They're still going to be competing with Taylor Swift, though, for the top spot
because she broke all these records when she put out her album, Midnight,
and she sold about 1.5 million units.
Also, she'll probably do half of that and still have number one.
Yeah, so could be a number one.
Could not.
We don't know what's going to happen yet.
It's the biggest hip hop release of the year, though, right?
No.
Future still, I think.
No, I think this is.
I think it's future.
No, it's either future Drake or Kendrick, but it ain't this.
I think it is this.
I don't think so.
Well, we're going to see y'all.
All right.
And I don't think so.
Let's talk about a lot of things because I noticed over the weekend, everybody was responding to something that happened on his album. I don't think so. Here's what Drom had to say about that lyric. Because he says, try to bring the drama to me.
He ain't know how we cha-cha slide.
And that seems like Drake is referring to this altercation that they had back then.
And here's what Drom had to say.
Hey, somebody tell Drake to shut the f*** up about that s***, man.
F***ing five years ago, s*** never even f***ing touched me.
I pressed his ass.
His f***ing bodyguards got down.
I ain't gonna hold you.
His bodyguards went to town on the kid.
But his bodyguards ain't, not his b***h.
He ain't touched me.
He's a b***h.
You know that.
Come on, why I gotta goddamn get into all of that?
When I see him, I see him.
You know what I'm saying?
What's good with the one-on-one, my baby?
What's up, my n***a?
But he don't want to do that.
Why don't you bring out how you got smacked by a diddy or some s***?
Drom got beat up by Drake's security?
Yeah, and they talked about this before in the past.
I did not know that.
Because they had all the drama between the Highline Blank song and the Cha-Cha song.
And he said he got jacked for that record.
And then he talked about how in 2017 at Coachella,
he said he approached him, they stepped outside,
and Drake had an army of about 15 different guys,
and things got physical, as he said, the Drake bodyguards.
Oh, a hotline bling?
And I like the Cha-Cha too?
Nice, fun records?
Well, I guess he had Cha-Cha first,
and then Drake kind of took it and it ruined his song.
And the songs were very similar,
and he felt like he kind of jacked the song.
And that was a big song for drum.
You know what kind of cold, ruthless individual you have to be to order a hit over Hotline Blink?
That damn Canadian.
Build a wall around Canada, man.
Jesus Christ.
All right, now, of course, we also know that Circo Loco,
while that song has been really popular on the charts right now,
these lyrics that, you know, some people feel like are directed at Megan Thee Stallion.
It seems like they are.
Listen to this again.
All right.
Well, Megan Thee Stallion's lawyer has issued a statement condemning those lyrics.
Here is what her lawyer, Alex Barrow, had to say.
Across the industry. But those people are going to look very silly
when the facts fully come out here.
And it's going to be troubling and it's going to be a stain that stays with them.
Here you have real people, people that know each other,
that are part of an artist community.
Some people that I know personally, and they're saying things
and taking a position on something that I just cannot fathom why they're doing that. And I just know the profound regret they're saying things and and taking a position on something that i just cannot
fathom why they're doing that and i just know the profound regret they're going to have when the
facts and the truth come out now i saw over the weekend a lot of people were saying those lyrics
were supposed to be about elkie the stallion who was another woman who was a model and here is what
little yadi had to say on live because he he says that Drake isn't going to explain these lyrics.
I feel like I said it twice, but y'all seen my signal broke up.
So what I said was this is a lot like,
like what I was saying is that like,
I was addressing his line because I know,
I know he's not going to address it.
So like, I know he's, because I just know Drake.
So it's a lot like it's about women lying about their butt shots, you know, like saying this is real when it's fake.
All right. So he's trying to clarify that. But I'm sure Drake is smart enough to know
that people would correlate those two things together as a double entendre.
Yeah. Somebody in the studio got to say, nah, Drake, don't do that. Don't put that out because,
you know, those lyrics can be misconstrued.
All right. Now, Kanye has also addressed Drake's circle local lyrics about him, too.
And here's those lyrics again as a refresh.
Now Ye said, enough already.
Arangueta's man is flowers multiple times.
Let's really see who our real ops are in this music game.
Imagine all the rappers on the same side and everyone cleaning up each
other's contracts. It's kingdom time. Love
Drake. Hashtag love speech. Yeah, I know that's
an obvious bar about Kanye, but I was talking
to Nyla this weekend
and Nyla gave me a different perspective too. She said
that could have been a response to
Kendrick. Remember on Kendrick's album, he was like when
Drake and Kanye
hooked up, he was slightly confused
or something like that.
So it might have been a reply to that as well.
To J Prince?
No, to Kendrick.
To Kendrick.
No, but I'm saying,
but didn't he reference J Prince?
That's why he did it?
Yeah, but Kendrick said when Drake and Kanye hooked up,
he was slightly confused. So Drake is saying,
I only did that for J Prince.
So even though that's an obvious bar to Kanye,
that could have been a reply to Kendrick as well.
All right.
And Serena Williams has been Alexis Ohanian and has also responded to Drake calling him a groupie on the album
and he said um you know I've been turning down media profiles for the last two years
it's cliche but life changed when I became a husband and papa it's made me a hundred times
better as a man and a businessman and Serena Williams I found a partner I knew I would never
outgrow who would always motivate me to be greater. And he also let people know that
the reason I stay winning is because
I'm relentless about being the absolute best
at whatever I do, including being the best groupie
for my wife and daughter. I saw
online people were reminding Drake that he's been
a groupie to NBA players too, and they
were posting all the pics with him up on the NBA players.
That was funny.
That was funny. Alright, well that is your
rumor report. Yeah, and Future did 222 first week.
Kendrick did 295.
And it looks like this one's going to do close to 350 first week sale.
So, yeah, that'd be the biggest hip hop release.
Now, who are you giving your dog?
I want to salute the little Yachty, too.
He's super talented, man.
Way more talented than he gets credit for.
And you'd be shocked.
Hey, guys.

Secrets are revealed as we rewatch every moment
with you. Special guests from back in the day will be dropping by. You know who they are.
Sydney, Allison and Joe are back together on Still the Place with a trip down memory lane
and back to Melrose Place. So listen to Still the Place on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen to Still the Place on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, who are you giving your donkey to, bro? Oh, before after the hour, we need a young man named Brandon McMahon to come to the front of the congregation.
We'd like to have a word with him, please.
All right, we'll get to that next.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.

I was born a donkey.
It's the donkey of the day.
It's the donkey of the day.
It's the donkey of the day.
It's the donkey of the day.
It's the donkey of the day.
That's pretty funny.
Charlamagne the devil? Possibly. The Breakfast Club. Yes, Donkey of the Day
for Monday, November 7th.
Today is Monday, November 7th, right?
You're not getting days and months wrong
because I'm old.
But yes, it is Monday, November 7th
and today's Donkey of the Day
goes to an 18-year-old young man
named Brandon McMahon.
I'm really trying to figure out if this era this era 18 year old is stupid in our era is 18 year old i mean we were stupid
like super stupid at 18 but this era just baffles me because they truly don't know don't show
i don't care about the consequences of their actions see brandon man walked into a vape store and he walked into the vape store masked okay not
like covid mask like ski mask okay armed and demanded specific products from the clerk aka
an armed robbery okay that's what it was the surveillance video shows brandon pointing his
weapon at the cashier and demanding he give up the goods but here's the twist brandon burst into
laughter then he took his mask off and tells the terrified clerk he was just playing.
He was just kidding.
I can't make this kind of stuff up.
Let's go to Fox 5 Atlanta for the report, please.
A masked and hooded man walks into a vape shop in Cherokee County with a gun drawn,
demanding specific products.
Then, oddly, he starts laughing.
Yo, dude, that's not funny.
He pulls off his mask, says it was just a joke, and walks out without taking anything.
But his image is captured on surveillance video.
Cherokee County Sheriff's investigators posted his picture on social media
and, with the help of school police identified him as
18 year old Brandon McMahon.
Sheriff's officials say McMahon said it was a joke for a YouTube video.
Detectives didn't buy it.
Detectives believe it was a real crime with a case of cold feet.
This was an act of armed robbery that he changed his mind about during the act
and tried to downplay
it and leave the scene.
Brandon, I know
your last name is
McMahon, but this
ain't wrestling, bro.
Here's the thing.
The police seem to
believe that this
wasn't a prank.
All right.
They believe Brandon
just got cold feet.
Brandon said he was
doing it for a YouTube
video, but the police
don't believe that
because they said
there's no other
person there with him.
No one was videotaping him. He wasn't videotaping himself. He does not have a YouTube video. But the police don't believe that because they said there's no other person there with him. No one was videotaping him. He wasn't videotaping himself. He does not
have a YouTube channel, as he states. So here's my thing, young brother. If you got cold feet,
and I don't even want to say cold feet, if something kicked in and you came to your senses
and something told you a stupid ass to stop and go home and you listened, why didn't you just walk
out? Why take the mask off and show your face and laugh and then
have a conversation with the cashier that behavior is the behavior of a person who got a boyfriend
that he left back in prison because it sounds like you want to be there all right i'm really
trying to figure out who on this planet have the contra code for life y'all out here moving like
y'all got 30 lives like you can just hit up up down down left right left right ba and start and now you got 30 chances to f this life thing up think of all the ways this could
have gone wrong what if the clerk had a gun and shot your ass what if a bystander was in there
armed and decided to protect the clerk and shot your ass what if the cops came in while you was
robbing the store and shot your ass this is like a situation where it's six million ways to die. Choose one.
And by the grace of God, you didn't get any.
Okay, but whether this was a prank or you got cold feet,
all signs point to you getting the credit you deserve for being stupid.
Please give Brandon McMahon the sweet sounds of the Hamilton's. Oh, now you are the donkey of the day.
You are the donkey of the day.
Yee-haw.
It's select start.
Select start.
Up, down, up, down.
It's select start?
Yes.
Oh, okay.
It's been a long time. Okay, I haven't done the Contra Code in a long time.
All right.
And this may have been a prank, but that time you're going to get won't be.
They're going to give him some time for this, by the way.
All right.
Well, thank you for that donkey of the day.
Now, if you're just joining us, 800-585-1051.
We're opening up the phone lines.
Now, over the weekend, Oprah Winfrey was trending on social media.
And this is because Kid Rock called her out. Now, over the weekend, Oprah Winfrey was trending on social media.
And this is because Kid Rock called her out.
Kid Rock said she's a fraud because she didn't endorse Dr. Oz.
You have the full story?
Yeah, this was in the Pennsylvania Senate race.
She's backing John Fetterman, who's a Democrat, against Dr. Oz.
So let's open up the phone lines.
But let's not forget that Oprah, you know, she's the one that gave Dr. Oz his first shot on television.
Yep. And it was on her show that he became popular and famous and then got his own show.
They were friends. He said he's been up here several times, said they were friends. Here's Oprah and Dawson Fetterman.
I said it was up to the citizens of Pennsylvania.
And of course, but I will tell you all this.
If I lived in Pennsylvania, I would have already cast my vote for
John Fetterman for many reasons.
Well, just because Oprah endorses
Dr. Oz as a television personality
because she was the executive producer of his
show. She used to bring Dr. Oz on her show
all the time, then it spun off into his own show.
Just because I endorse you as a television personality
don't mean I'm endorsing you for an elected
official position. But not only that,
they're friends, right? So what? They're friends I mean? I'm endorsing you for an elected official position. But not only that, they're friends, right?
So what?
They're friends.
So if I'm running in a state that-
And I don't know if they're friends or not.
Well, he said they were friends when he was up here.
He would talk that he'd been to our house.
He would call us.
We'd talk on the phone all the time.
So if I'm running in a state that you don't live in, why go against me?
Don't say nothing.
If we are friends, let's talk about it.
800-585-1051.
What are your thoughts?
Let's talk about it.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Big time.
Pick up the phone, baby.
Call 800-585-1051
to join in to the discussion
with The Breakfast Club.
Let's talk about it.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy,
Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
If you just joined us, over the weekend, I've seen Oprah trending.
This is because Kid Rock said she was a fraud, said she wasn't sponsoring and, I guess, helping Dr. Oz.
Now, her and Dr. Oz are allegedly friends.
He said they were friends.
Well, Oprah put Dr. Oz on.
The first time
a lot of you ever heard of dr oz was on open one pre-show and then you know uh she was executive
producer of his show for a while right so of course uh dr oz is running for senate in pennsylvania
and this is what oprah said i said it was up to the citizens of pennsylvania and of course but i
will tell you all this if i lived in penn Pennsylvania, I would have already cast my vote for John Fetterman for many reasons.
So we're asking 800-585-1051. What are your thoughts? Let's start in the room. What do you
think, E? I mean, look, Dr. Oz even responded to that. He said they just have different politics.
And so while she might be like, he was great on the Dr. Oz show, he was great when he was on my
show. I don't agree with him and his politics.
And I think that's fine.
And so for her right now, we all know these elections are extremely important.
Pennsylvania is an extremely important state.
And so she endorsed who she wanted to endorse because of that, because of her politics, not because of who I'm friends with.
Yeah, I take the title friend a little more serious.
I mean, if somebody, especially that doesn't live in my state, is running for something, I'm not going to go against them.
Maybe me and him might not see eye to eye on politics,
but that's still my friend.
That's still somebody who I must consider close to me
because I gave them their own show.
I speak to them all the time.
They come by my house and I wouldn't go against them.
That's me.
That's how I look at friends.
She did enough for him.
She done gave him his own show, put him on.
She just don't want him to be senator.
You're right.
But, you know, when it comes to it, I just look at friends differently.
What about you, Charlamagne?
Yeah, it just depends.
Like, I don't know what their relationship is now because people change.
And she might feel like her and Dr. I's, you know, values and principles don't align anymore.
And you can still be friends and have different politics, like Ye said.
But I think, you know, Oprah understands how important these Senate races are.
So she's doing everything she can to make sure that, you know, the Democrats secure seats.
But I'll tell you one thing.
If I lived in Pennsylvania, I would be very concerned that Fetterman needed Barack Obama and Oprah to beat Dr. Oz.
Jesus Christ.
You know what's wrong when these celebrities are running for office?
I get it, but man.
Because they have such a huge name.
But, you know, I think even in real life,
I have people
who I'm friends with
that I don't agree
with their politics.
We can be cool
and not discuss those things
because I don't want to get
into an argument with you.
But I just feel like
how I feel is how I feel.
And if I feel like
it's a really critical time,
then yeah, that's important.
But I get what
they be saying, though,
because, you know,
everybody's having
these conversations about
when they say things like business never personal and they were like, nah, that's important. But I get what Envy's saying, though, because, you know, everybody's having these conversations about when they say things like business never personal,
and they were like, nah, it's always personal.
Same thing in politics, you know what I mean?
You can say politics never personal,
but, nah, if that was your people,
you still gonna take it personal.
I mean, I would.
But let's go to the phone lines.
Hello, who's this?
Yo, yo, man, this is David Katash from VA757.
What's happening? Hey, look, look, look, look, y'all talking about Oprah, right? man, this is David Katash from VA 757. What's happening?
Hey, look, look, look, look.
Y'all talking about Oprah, right?
Yes, sir.
Well, look, man, I think Oprah should be able to endorse a role with a friend
regardless of the political position of the party,
regardless of if she agrees with the political stance or not.
I mean, look, if my best friend running for office, you know,
I can't let my politics kill my long-lasting friendship to make other people happy.
I don't think they're best friends.
That's not true, though, because if your friend was...
But I know, but listen, I'm not saying this is what Dr. Oz is doing, but if you had a friend and your friend, you know, started running and he started running on, like, racist
rhetoric and Nazi ideology,
I don't think you would support that and be like,
I'm still supporting him just because that's my friend. Yeah, I mean,
but if, I mean, Dr. Oz never,
he's not a racist person. He never had
racist ideologies and none of that stuff. Listen, Trump was
a great example. Because think about all these rappers
who used to talk about Trump and big up Trump
and talk about how they wanted to be like Trump,
have pictures with him.
Soon as things got crazy,
and they're like, oh, wait a minute now.
They had to back away.
That's true.
But how many said that Trump was his friend, though?
There's a difference.
Yeah, we could post pictures with people.
Even if that's your friend, you're not good.
Nah, you're not doing that.
You're not too many rappers that are Trump's friends.
You're not standing by your friend
regardless of anything they do, bro.
Like, come on now.
I'm not saying stand by him, but don't say nothing.
It depends what it is. And it depends how involved and how him, but don't say nothing. It depends what it is.
And it depends how involved
and how much you care about him.
Yeah, it depends what it is.
You can't compare Trump
to Dr. Oz, guys.
Come on now.
Hello, who's this?
You know what we're
trying to say here.
I'm just simply saying
that everybody...
Trump is like the worst.
No, but everybody's...
She feels like the Senate seat
is more important
than her friendship
with Dr. Oz.
And she's probably right.
Hello, who's this?
This is Jamaica.
Hey, Jamaica.
You ain't even from there, never been there.
I'm going in December, Charlamagne.
Sorry about that.
You tell him.
What's your thoughts, mama?
My thoughts are, just because Oprah is friends with Dr. Oz,
she ain't got to rock with what he got going on.
Didn't y'all say Oprah is endorsing a Democrat?
Yes, she is.
Fetterman, yep.
At the end of the day, Oprah is still a sister,
and she knows that democracy is on the line,
and she is endorsing who she needs to endorse.
True, indeed.
It just ain't got nothing to do with it.
Yeah.
True, indeed.
And if you're really friends, you would understand that, like, okay,
he's known Oprah's been a Democrat this whole time.
He should have known that that's what was going to happen.
And the big shock for Oprah is probably that Dr. Oz is doing what he should have known that that's what was going to happen and the big shock
for Oprah
is probably that
Dr. Oz is
doing what he's doing
he's on the right
go with her
and say
just so you know
these are my ideologies
are going to run for office
you know
it's what happens
in politics
you'll find out
who is with you
and who's not with you
I just look at friendship
a little different
than some of you guys
that's all
I think it's bigger
than friendship
I don't think it's just like
you're my friend
I rock with anything you do.
You've been in my house,
you speak to me all the time,
we talk, we have conversations.
He said that up here.
If you're my friend,
I'm not going to go against you.
Even if we don't line the same way,
I understand it and I get it,
but I'm not going to sit there and say,
okay, you're my friend,
I'm just going to push you out of that.
Okay, so what if you see your friend,
because you said that Oz and Trump aren't the same,
which they may not be,
but Trump sure damn sure endorsed Dr. Oz.
He went to Pennsylvania and put his arm around Dr. Oz and endorsed him.
So Oprah's like, nah, well, if that's what's going on, I'm going to go over here and do this.
Well, 800-585-1051.
Let's discuss.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Come on.
That kid don't even get what's that.
Call me.
Add your opinion to the Breakfast Club Topic.
Come on.
800-585-1051.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
Now, if you're just joining us, we're talking about Dr. Oz and Oprah Winfrey.
Now, Kid Rock said that Oprah is a fraud.
Now, this was actually all over social media this weekend because Oprah is not backing Dr. Oz.
Let's listen.
I said it was up to the citizens of Pennsylvania.
And of course, but I will tell you all this.
If I lived in Pennsylvania, I would have already cast my vote for John Fetterman for many reasons.
Now, allegedly, they were friends.
They were good friends.
Of course, she put him in the industry, got him a star.
She executive produced his show.
But she didn't necessarily push Dr.
Oz, I would say.
I mean, she couldn't, though.
5851051, what are your thoughts?
Hello, who's this?
This is Blue, Blue Giovanni.
Hey, Blue. What's up, Blue? What's your thoughts?
What's good? So my thoughts is
basically this. Kid Rock's trying to call
Oprah out. First of all, you can't call nobody kid kid, if you don't even got her number or her number.
Second of all, on top of that, you know what kind of world is trouble?
Jay and everybody else will be in just because they messed with somebody back in the day.
They feel like you got to support them all the way through and through.
That's crazy.
You don't always have to support somebody just because you don't agree with their decision.
That's why she in a position she is in now.
It's the same reason why Jay is in a position he is in now.
And anybody else that understands you are a leader, not a follower like kids.
And since he's following, he's going to follow himself back into that Nashville tumbleweed
because nobody was even talking about him.
Nashville tumbleweed.
Jay-Z always supported Memphis Bleak, man.
What the hell are you talking about, Envy?
He's always supported him, but at the same time,
he don't got to go ahead and promote everything that he stands for.
You get what I'm saying?
I'm not saying Oprah doesn't support Dr. Oz either,
but support can go in a lot of different ways.
I can guarantee you if Memphis Bleak was running for a Senate seat
and he was endorsed by Donald Trump, okay,
and he was on the MAGA right right now.
Jay-Z would not be endorsing Memphis
Bleak. Okay? I can guarantee you
100% for sure.
And yo, you know something? I always wanted to say this.
Charlamagne Tha God, you said
the other morning, like about a week ago, because
of the whole takeover. And
years ago when Twitterverse came out,
I swear, I'll never forget this. It was the funniest thing.
It was a commercial.
The old chick that was like, help.
I fell down. I can't get up.
I don't know if you made the comment or I made the
comment, but we both at each
other and we had a hell of a joke
about that.
Those were the days when Twitter was fun,
man. When we knew Twitter
was just a playground and we went on
there to play and then we got off the playground
and went back to our lives. Now,
the whole goddamn world is a playground
because of Twitter. Hello, who's this?
Yo, what's up? This is Vladimir.
Vladimir, what's up, brother? What's your thought, bro?
What's up, man? Hey, I just want
to talk to, so first of all,
Angela, I'm going to miss you.
And J.E., I appreciate you guys.
Thank you.
You remember when Wyclef was running for president for Haiti?
Yep.
And then Price, his so-called friend, would tell everybody, hell no.
Now, that created friction.
If that's supposed to be his man, ain't he supposed to back him up?
No, not if you don't think he's going to be a good politician.
If you care about your country and you're like, this is, you know, I don't think this is the right person.
I think that was whack.
I'm going to tell you right now.
If that's my friend and he's not backing me up, how do you think everybody else is going to look at it?
If his own friend is not going to back him up,
then what the hell?
That's why this endorsement was so important.
And how do you look at your friend after that?
I wouldn't even consider him as a friend after that.
We ain't friends no more.
You ain't Gayle King.
You know what this is proving to me?
Relax.
This is proving to me that Donald Trump don't have no friends.
No.
Because some of Donald Trump's friends should have said,
no, bro, this ain't what you need to be doing.
And they should have been speaking out saying, no, bro. This ain't what you need to be doing.
And they should have been speaking out saying, no, do not vote for this man.
Let me ask you this.
If Envy was running for office, would you endorse him?
Nope.
Not at all.
Not even a little bit.
Okay?
I don't care what it was for.
Student council, mayor.
What about Alderman?
Nope.
I don't even know what that is.
But nope.
Nope.
There you have it.
He's not endorsing you.
He's not my friend.
I am, but I'm not. No, you're not.
You're not my friend.
What do you know about politics?
As much as Donald Trump.
Man, please.
And he was the president.
And we saw how that worked out, right?
So why would I make the same mistake as America did in 2016?
We got rumors on the way?
Well, I think we just answered that question.
Yes, let's talk about Solange.
She actually could have joined Destiny's Child.
And now their father, Matthew Knowles, is telling the whole story of what went down.
All right, we'll get into that next.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee.
On The Breakfast Club.
So listen up.
Well, rest in peace to Aaron Carter, the singer, rapper, and actor.
He's survived by one son, Prince, who he shared with his ex-fiancee, Melanie Martin.
He, according to TMZ, there's an audio clip of the moment
the housekeeper found him unresponsive inside of his bathtub.
She called 911 and was yelling and making a reference to him being in the tub.
By the time paramedics arrived on the scene, he had already died.
Authorities have not released an official cause of death,
but they are going to be doing a deep dive into his past drug
use. His brother, Nick Carter, has released a full statement. My heart is broken, even though my
brother and I have had a complicated relationship. My love for him has never faded. I've always held
on to the hope that he would somehow someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the
help that he so desperately needed. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss,
but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here.
I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know.
I love you.
Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on Earth.
I love you, baby brother.
That's wild.
They said he performed last night, too, or the night before, too.
Said he had to perform.
He just felt like, I guess, that was his way of, I guess, controlling his emotions and therapeutic to him.
All right.
So, again, a rest in peace to him.
Now, Matthew Knowles is talking, and he's talking about both of his daughters.
He did two separate posts, one for each of them.
And so in one of the posts, he shared a throwback picture of Beyonce.
And he said that he could not remember all the details about the memory but
he could remember her being happy and he said in Beyonce's case Tina and I saw her incredible love
for the stage and performing at a very young age and we both knew that as long as she was having
fun doing what she loved and was passionate about it that she would be successful whether you're a
parent guiding your child to their own success or a human being who's trying to define success for themselves, remember the key ingredients of passion, love, and fun.
Love what you do.
Have fun while doing it.
Now, he also posted a picture of Solange.
He said, many of you aren't aware, but I personally wanted Solange to be in Destiny's Child.
That didn't appeal to her.
You would think joining Destiny's Child would be a dream to her, and she had every opportunity to seize the success that the group was experiencing, but she wanted to forge her very own path.
She wanted to trust her own instincts.
She loved music, but she just loved it from a different perspective, her own.
All right, so those were the posts that he put up for both of his daughters.
All right, now let's discuss White Lives Matter.
That has been trademarked, and after Kanye put out those T-shirts, Ramses Jha and Quentin
Ward, who are two black activists who own the rights to White Lives Matter, said that they are
willing to sell that phrase to Kanye West. So that's why Kanye can't sell those shirts, because
they went and got them trademarked. And so here's what they had to say on ABC News. Right now, we're
not looking for that. We're not soliciting that. We don't anticipate that as an outcome.
However, we were tasked with doing to certain, we have to spread that money around to different black orgs,
fighting for black and brown people's rights and communities across the country.
Orgs like the NAACP, the Urban League, even the United Negro College Fund.
Yes, so a billion dollars if they want to give up that trademark, if Kanye wants to purchase that trademark.
Yeah, salute to those brothers, man.
Dropping a Clues bomb for them. I actually was speaking
to them last week, actually.
Alright, now Summer Walker
is single, but she does say she has
love for her ex-boyfriend, Larry. She's
also currently pregnant by him.
And she said, people have been trying to be in my business
bad lately. I don't know why y'all need updates
on my life, lol, like go touch grass,
but I've decided to be single. It's no hard feelings.
Larry is an amazing father.
There's just certain things I won't tolerate.
But we're super duper happy to have all our children.
And we're just living life.
He be at every swim class.
Every photo shoot.
Every doctor's appointment.
And every baby event.
And no, I ain't removing my face tat.
I still have hella love for him.
Also, I don't have to name any names.
Because you see it every day in the media.
All these celebrity women who are in marriages or in long-term relationships with children be getting dogged out every week.
Every month they complaining about how they getting cheated on, beat on, children being had on them.
They lonely, etc.
But they rather stay for the image just to say they have a man or a ring or just to keep receiving apology, Birkins and cars.
The only difference between me and them and the rest of y'all is I prefer my peace and happiness.
So I walk away now she also posted a video showing that a woman actually offered him some money for
a link up you said somebody was trying to pay you 200 bands somebody was trying to pay me 200
to do what to link to f**k or something well go get it I'm telling you and bring it back whoever was trying to pay um it's good as i think 200 is is worth it
sure can you get the camera no this is hilarious go get the money and bring it back
it's mad.
Brothers listening to this right now saying, where's she at, man?
I'll go get that $200,000.
I'll do it for $100,000.
That's what they're saying to themselves right now.
I'll do it for $2,000.
$200,000?
Who out there paying that kind of money for pee-pee?
I don't know.
She must be rich, rich.
Yeah, I don't approve of that.
Okay.
I don't believe in tricking.
I mean, it ain't tricking if she's worth it
or he's worth it
but 200 grand
that's too much for some people
it's a lot cheaper
how much would you pay?
shut up
it's a lot cheaper pee pee
out there
is all I'm saying

He brings the Lambo that's like a bright pink or like a big mirror.
He comes to all the shows.
He lets the kids sit in the cars.
He does a lot for struggling kids, whether it is, what is it?
Toys for Tots.
Oh, my gosh.
Or anything out there.
He lets the kids get in the car.
He drives them around the block.
He tries to give kids inspirations.

But I just saw this Hurricane G.
You know her from Tonight's the Night, Redman's song.
Wow, they said she had lung cancer, but no cause of death has been revealed yet of what happened.
But again, I just saw that.
So apologies for not reporting that earlier.
