Living.

Mess.
Breaking up with your girlfriend while on Instagram Live.
Living.
It's kind of a mess.
Yeah.
Well, you get it.
Got it?
Live, love, mess.

Good morning, Angela Yee. Good morning, DJ Envy. Charlamagne is a little late. It's Monday!
Oh, man, what a weekend.
What a day it is today.
This weather, let me tell you.
I didn't think you was coming in today.
Yeah, I didn't think I was going to make it home last night.
I was coming back from the iHeart Festival in Las Vegas.
And my flight was, you know, delayed.
And then we had to circle.
There was bad weather in a lot of places trying to get in.
So eventually we were able to land.
I got in like around 1 a.m.
Yeah, I got in around 1 a.m. too.
I was coming from Jacksonville.
Duval!
And on my way in,
I guess the weather was nasty.
We were circling for about,
it must have been like 45 minutes to an hour.
I fell asleep then all of a sudden I woke up and we in D.C.
I'm like, this is not home.
Yeah, they said the only reason we were able to land was because a lot of the planes before us got diverted somewhere else.
And so fortunately things opened up when we were about to come in.
But, you know, that iHeart Festival was pretty fun this year.
Yeah.
I had a good time.
Then it was a mad dash to the different gates to get to New York.
And we had to find another plane to get back here. So I got here about the same time you did, about 1 a. Yeah. I had a good time. Then it was a mad dash to the different gates to get to New York and we had to find another
plane to get back here. So I got here about
the same time you did, about 1 a.m.
Yeah, so the weather was disgusting all over
they were saying yesterday.
But we did make it back. What up, Charlamagne? Peace.
Why yelling here in the dark? This ain't the quiet storm.
This is how it is every morning. No, it's not.
Yes, it is. Oh, I thought I worked here.
Me too.
I didn't know it was this dark every morning.
Is it always like this?
We don't turn the lights on at first in the morning.
So how do we...
Well, it looks ridiculous, okay?
It's not the Quiet Storm, guys.
You just noticed it.
Come on.
Come on.
All right.
But yeah, shout out to everybody who was at the iHeart Music Festival over the weekend
in Las Vegas.
How was it?
Was it good?
Yeah, it was great.
I got a chance to see Diddy perform.
He brought his son out.
It's nice because they are making history as a father and son.
I think they're both going to be in the top ten on the charts.
That's dope.
So that's going to be a big deal.
Megan Thee Stallion.
Lionel Richie.
I saw Lionel Richie backstage.
It caught me off guard, even though I'd just seen him perform.
But I've never seen Lionel Richie in the flesh.
And I just screamed out, Lionel Richie!
I didn't know what else to do.
Great.
What did he respond with?
He was like, hey! Hey! He was just rushing out, Lionel Richie. I didn't know what else to do. Great. What did he respond with? He was like, hey.
Hey.
He was just rushing out of there.
But shout out to Big Boy, Enrique Santos, Tanya Ratta, everybody that was out there,
all of the iHeart personalities, and everybody who performed and had a good time.
Yeah, and Rolling Loud was over the weekend.
A lot of artists performing at Rolling Loud.
I'm sure we'll talk about that in a little bit.
Now we got front page news.
What are we talking about?
Well, let's talk about some sports things. Let'll talk about that in a little bit. Now we got front page news. What are we talking about? Well, let's talk about
some sports things.
Let's talk about
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
You know, he had a fight,
an exhibition bout
over the weekend.
We'll tell you how that went for him.
And then also
the breaking news of Rihanna
and the Super Bowl halftime show.
Okay, we'll get into all that
when we come back.
Keep it locked.
This is The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired?
Depressed?
A little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There's 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Laudonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tribe owned country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a racket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, guys.
I'm Kate Max. You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. After those journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together.
You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout?
Well, that's when the real magic happens.
So if you love hearing real, inspiring stories from the people you know,
follow, and admire, join me every week for Post Run High.
It's where we take the conversation
beyond the run and get into the heart of it all. It's lighthearted, pretty crazy and very fun.
Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams.
I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
For self-preservation and protection,
it was literally that step by step.
And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going.
This increment of small, determined moments.
Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude,
and the power of love.
I forgive myself.
It's okay.
Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this
thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on
the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
So y'all, this is Questlove and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast
I've been working on
with the Story Pirates and John Glickman
called Historical Records.
It's a family-friendly podcast.
Yeah, you heard that right.
A podcast for all ages.
One you can listen to and enjoy with your kids
starting on September 27th.
I'm going to toss it over
to the host of Historical Records,
Nimany, to tell you all about it.
Make sure you check it out.
Hey, y'all. Nimany here.
I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records.
Historical Records brings history to life through hip hop. Each episode is about a different, inspiring figure from history.
Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Check it. And it began with me.
Did you know, did you know?
I wouldn't give up my seat.
Nine months before Rosa, it was called a moment.
Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records.
Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise.
Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, everyone. This is Courtney Thorne-Smith, Laura Layton, and Daphne Zuniga. On July 8,
1992, apartment buildings with pools were never quite the same as Melrose Place was introduced to the world.
It took drama and mayhem to an entirely new level.
We are going to be reliving every hookup, every scandal, every backstab, blackmail and explosion and every single wig removal together.
Secrets are revealed as we rewatch every moment with you.
Special guests from back in the day will be dropping by.
You know who they are.
Sydney, Allison, and Joe are back together on Still the Place
with a trip down memory lane and back to Melrose Place.
So listen to Still the Place on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Everybody, it's DJ Envy, Angela Yee,
Charlamagne Tha Guy, We Are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get some front page news.
Now the Bengals beat the Jets to start off with sports.
Bengals beat the Jets, Panthers beat the Saints,
Vikings beat the Lions, Colts beat the Chiefs. The Jaguars beat the Chargers.
Packers beat the Buccaneers.
Broncos beat the 49ers. Titans
beat the Raiders. The Ravens beat the Patriots.
The Eagles beat the Commanders.
The Bears beat the Texans. Rams
beat the Cardinals. Falcons beat the Seahawks.
And it's Monday Night Football!
Tonight!
The Giants take on them bum-ass Cowgirls tonight.
First of all, don't disrespect our squad.
Don't disrespect my squad.
Okay, final score, 15-12, Cowboys.
And it's wear all white if you go into the game tonight.
I will be DJing tonight, so I can't wait to see you guys.
If you're Dominican, you wear white jeans and a New York Giants jersey.
That's what you do.
But the Cowboys will win 15-12 tonight.
A lot of upsets this week.
You know, it's hard to even
say that those are upsets because you still don't
really know who's who. You think you know who's who.
You know what I mean? Like, people thought Buffalo was going
to watch Miami. No, Miami won that.
People thought the Chargers were going to watch Jacksonville.
Jacksonville won that. It's just
too early to tell, you know, who's
who in the league right now.
Alright, well, what we are excited for
is the Super Bowl halftime show.
Rihanna is going to be doing the halftime show.
So they posted a statement.
Apple Music, the NFL, and Roc Nation announced that Rihanna is going to be taking the stage
February 12th in Glendale, Arizona.
That's dope.
I hope she has some new music with it as well, but that's going to be amazing.
She's probably not going to perform new music at the Super Bowl halftime show.
Although anything could happen between now and then.
She puts out a single and it's huge.
That could be definitely a good way to showcase that.
I'm sure she'll drop a project after the Super Bowl.
I doubt it.
Most artists do that because they already know their whole catalog ends up going crazy,
and then that's a great time to drop something
if you're going to. Yeah, but they're not Rihanna.
Rihanna, if anything, she'll drop some new
cosmetics. She'll drop a new cosmetic line
right after the Super Bowl
and it'll be through the roof.
We were also discussing the weather this morning
and Tropical Storm and Storm Surge watches
are in effect for part of Florida's
coast as a possible Hurricane
Ian was on a path toward that state.
It was a tropical storm in the Caribbean.
But now they are saying that it is set to become a hurricane early today and then a major hurricane,
which means a Category 3 storm or stronger tomorrow.
So they're saying that it could approach Florida's southwest and western coast Tuesday and Wednesday,
according to the weather agency.
Here's what they are saying in Tampa.
We're doing everything that we can to be prepared ahead of time,
to control what we can control.
But I've been here during Hurricane Charlie.
It was supposed to be a devastating direct hit to Tampa,
and at the last minute it took a dogleg into South Florida, so you never know.
It would be devastation without a doubt in certain areas of our city.
So, again, we can't control Mother Nature, but we are going to be prepared
and we're going to inform our community, get them evacuated out of the danger zones if necessary.
All right, well, the governor in Florida is saying to make preparations now
and that residents should also anticipate power outages and fuel disruptions.
I got family down in Florida. They said they've been grabbing water, toilet paper, and they said everything is sold out.
So they said it's hard to get canned food. So just, you know, continue to pray.
It's also been a week without power after Hurricane Fiona hit in Puerto Rico and so that's still an issue so
unfortunately for Puerto Ricans the uncertainty of when electricity will be
fully restored is reminiscent of when Hurricane Maria hit five years ago where
it took some areas a month and some others up to a year in order to get
their power back all right I saw that a mayor Eric Adams is out in Puerto Rico
as well just trying to see what they can do on the ground to actually be able to help out.
People are mad about that, too.
That he's there?
Yeah, they're saying with all the problems going on in New York,
why are you out of town?
I've seen that all over the place yesterday.
Oh, I mean, certain things end up taking legs more than anything, right?
I did wonder that, though.
I did wonder why the New York City mayor
had to go to Puerto Rico to survey damage.
I was like, why the mayor of New York? I didn't
understand the connection. We do have a lot of people in
New York from Puerto Rico. No doubt,
but he's still the mayor of New York.
Like, why? I don't know.
I did think about that when I saw that headline.
Yeah, they were saying that a lot of people
were mad about that. Alright, well, we'll talk
more about Floyd Mayweather
and we'll do that in Rumors.
Alright. Get it off
your chest. 800-585-1051.
If you need to vent,
hit us up right now. Phone lines are wide open.
Again, 800-585-1051.
Get it off your chest.
It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
This is your time to get it off
your chest, whether you're mad or blessed.
You better have the same energy.
We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?
Yo, family, Big Chocolate's a toe sucker.
How we doing, everybody?
Listen, I know we just talked, but I got to get three quick things off my chest.
God bless the people in Florida and everybody going through hard times.
God loves us.
He even loves my pal, the New York number one center, Charlemagne, right?
To Envy, I'm with you tonight, brother.
Giants, I say win by a touchdown, right?
Cowboys 15-12.
Envy, what do you say?
Giants can win.
I don't care how they win.
I don't care if it's a field goal, touchdown.
Cowboys 15-12.
That doesn't matter.
Not going to happen, Charlemagne.
And listen, one last thing.
We got Jimmy Kimmel, the bigot, is back in Brooklyn.
Nobody watches his show.
I say this every year.
Remember, he did blackface me in front of an NBA player years ago.
So let him apologize 20 times.
No black people watch Jimmy Kimmel's show this week.
I'm doing Jimmy Kimmel's show tonight.
I'll be on there tonight.
Me and Run the Jewels, Killer Mike and LP, and Amy Schumer, I believe. I'll be on there tonight Me and Run the Jewels Killer Mike and LP
And Amy Schumer I believe
I'll be on there tonight
Hello who's this
Why you talking to me like that Trav
Can we get me and Solomon
To get some butt tonight
Wow
Hey Trav
Are you saying the Cowboys are going to win sir
You say your bet is secure is what you're saying?
My bet is secure tonight.
Is your butt secure?
Is Envy's butt secure?
The bet is secure, but is Envy's butt secure, Trav?
What's going on, Envy?
What's up, Yeezy?
What up, Trav?
Me.
Guess what I'm getting tonight.
What you getting?
Some toast with Al-Masheed.
Ooh, okay.
Well, let's see what happens.
Now, what happens when your Cowboys lose?
Then what?
That just means that I don't owe Envy nothing.
Envy been owing me for three years.
So Envy gets your cheeks.
Nope.
No, Envy don't get nothing.
Because he been owing me for three years.
I think I owe him like $40.
So if they win, we even.
Yeah, that's right.
We'll be even.
But if I win.
You will win, Trav.
15-12 will be the final score tonight.
Let's see.
Cowboys are going to win tonight.
And Rihanna is performing at the Cowboys Super Bowl this season.
Did y'all see that?
Definitely not the Cowboys Super Bowl, but she is performing at the Super Bowl.
Gianna's performing at the Cowboys Super Bowl this season.
You want to bet on that with Envy?
Envy.
Envy already got a bet for the night.
You kind of studded a little, Trav, just now.
I don't know what that was.
You started talking in tongues.
With Envy, I'll see you later.
No, you won't.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
You don't sound too secure about your cheeks, bro.
I'm confident about my cheeks.
No, you don't sound too secure about your cheeks.
I'm confident about my cheeks.
I can hear the little ass gas slipping out just a little bit.
No gas is slipping out.
Even though I did have a cotton something something from Starbucks yesterday.
And yes, it is a little loosey goosey.
But get it off your chest.
Remember that for later, Trav.
585-1051.
If you need to hit us up now, it's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?
Yo, this is D out of Tampa.
D, what up?
Get it off your chest.
You okay out there?
Yeah, yeah, I'm okay, I'm okay.
What's going on, everybody? What's up? Get it off your chest. You okay out there? Yeah, yeah, I'm okay, I'm okay. What's going on, everybody?
What's up, bro?
What's the word?
Yeah, so this is my thing.
We've been through this.
I'm going to raise the kids for Florida.
You know, I feel like everybody's overreacting.
I work for Kroger, a delivery driver,
and right now my truck is full of water.
Is everybody getting like seven, eight cases of water?
Like relax. Say it's on from
other people. I don't think it's going to be
as bad as the news portray it
to be. But you know, we'll see.
Okay. Well, you know
It's not that bad until it's that bad. Yeah, nothing wrong
with being prepared too, right?
You know, and there's being over prepared
and panicking. Like honestly, I don't mean to throw
no shade, but I feel like that's like up north.
There's like the northern folks that's down here.
That's just freaking out because if you a Floridian, you're just like,
all right, let's go just get a couple of cases, get a couple of bottles.
Like, I guarantee anybody from Florida went to the liquor store
when they heard about this.
Well, there's probably everything else going on in the world too, man.
Nobody need a hurricane right now.
Hello, what's probably everything else going on in the world, too, man. Nobody need a hurricane right now.
Hello, what's so funny?
Oh, I'm so sorry.
No, I got a few things to get off my chest this morning.
Okay, go ahead.
Go, Ashley, go.
All right, so we will start with DJ Academic.
He needs to be canceled because he's doing too much.
Okay.
Talking about Regine Carter, like, that's just too much.
You don't speak on a ghost daughter.
She was running her business with my best wife.
All right, we'll talk about that this morning.
Okay, and then the other thing is Matt Bourne. So I need the breakfast room to do the breakfast room investigation
and find out what happened to the Celtics coach.
We know what happened.
Matt Bourne pretty much made an Instagram post and took it down.
He pretty much was saying what y'all was saying, like, we don't know what's going on in that
man's personal life.
Then he took it back down and said that he got some teeth.
You need to call back and do the rumor report with me this morning.
Yeah, Matt said that it's a lot darker than it is.
I wouldn't call it darker.
I would just say dumber. He said it wasn't lot darker than it is. I wouldn't call it darker. I would just say dumber.
He said it wasn't what we thought it was.
Like, everybody was rooting for the Celtics coach,
but he said after him when he heard, like,
he said he's not in a position to say what happened,
but if the media puts it out there, then they just put it out there.
Yeah, I'm sure it'll all come out.
Maybe.
But we'll talk about some of it during the rumor report.
I think it'll come out. All right. Maybe. Maybe. I think a majority of it out. Maybe. But we'll talk about some of it during the rumor report. I think it'll come out.
All right.
Maybe.
Maybe.
I think a majority of it will.
Maybe.
I mean, it should.
You know, I read an article this morning how they were saying how, you know,
the Celtics trying to keep all of this shrouded in secrecy is not sustainable.
I agree with that.
But, you know, they are trying to protect the – they're trying to protect, I think,
one person in particular.
Absolutely. I think too many people know for it I think, one person in particular. Absolutely.
I think too many people know for it to be a secret for too long.
Yeah, but I don't think they'll ever confirm it.
Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, you can hit us up.
Now, we got rumors on the way, Yee.
And we'll be talking about Eme Udoka and the bust in Celtics.
We'll tell you what we do know about what's happening behind the scenes.
All right, get it off your chest.
We got the rumors on the way.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk Boston.
Tell the coach.
Listen up.
It's just in.
All the gossip.
Gossip.
The rumor report.
Gossip.
Gossip.
With Angela Yee.
It's the rumor report. The Rumor Report. Gossip, gossip, gossip. With Angela Yee. It's the Rumor Report.
The Breakfast Club.
All right.
Well, there's more details on Imei Yudoka's alleged affair.
He cheated on Nia Long, allegedly.
And as previously reported, he has been suspended for having an intimate relationship with a female staffer.
Now, the identity has not been revealed of who the staffer is, but sources are telling TMZ that one of her duties was travel planning, not only for Yudoka,
but also his longtime partner, fiance Nia Long. Now, apparently, she also assisted in Nia Long's
move to Boston. Nia Long and her 10-year-old son permanently moved to Boston a couple of weeks ago,
approximately two months after Yudoka became aware of the Celtics investigation.
Apparently, he knew this was all going to come out and didn't even give me a long a heads up.
And so following his suspension, he issued a public apology, apologizing to players, fans, the entire Celtics organization and his family for letting them down.
Now, how did this all get discovered?
Well, apparently, according to multiple sources, it was uncovered by the female staffer's husband.
She also was having an affair when he overheard a private conversation
on a home doorbell camera.
So that's...
You said what? Say that again?
You know the ring, like the home doorbell camera?
Yep.
She was outside, I guess on the phone, allegedly, having a conversation,
and that's how her husband found out.
And that's how this story ended up leaking.
How come we haven't heard the punishment for the other staffers, though?
I mean, it works both ways, right?
They work for the team, too.
Like, what's going to be their punishment?
What, for the women?
Yeah.
Well, there's also, we don't have all the details of what happened.
But according to the owner of the Celtics, they do feel like they have a right to.
And part of it is also, it feels like he was the person that was more in a position of power.
And so usually when someone's in a position of power in an organization, you know, that's a potential lawsuit.
If somebody feels like I could have lost my job if I didn't do this.
You don't know what all the details are behind the scenes.
Well, the only reason I ask is the first thing they put out was that it was an intimate, consensual relationship.
Like, there was no talk of, you know,
power dynamics and all of that type of stuff.
They said it was an intimate, consensual relationship.
So there's a team policy. I would just expect
both parties involved to be
disciplined. Well, we also don't know all the details,
but some other things that have
come out, according to sources,
is that he was
harassing this woman. so maybe it started off
consensual we don't know we don't know all the details yet so we i mean until they confirm some
of these things all we have is speculation and so we can't say what it is but i will say that
the owner of the celtics uh did say that they want to make sure that um the impact that the
past couple of days had on women throughout the organization,
that the women feel protected.
Well, yeah, that's because of the way that it was reported.
They put out female staffers, so everybody started speculating.
So they started just putting out random women that work on the team
and just putting their pictures out and saying, this is the woman.
So, yeah, I totally can understand that.
But I just hate self-sabotage.
It's a damn shame that the brother put himself in that situation like you can't let your penis come before your paper and you're a black
man coaching one of the most storied franchises in sports history they probably already didn't
want you there so don't give them a reason yeah and i think just in general in most organizations
when somebody has a position of authority and power over someone else you know starting a
relationship whether or not it might feel like it's consensual, is always
potentially a lawsuit or somebody could feel like
they were pressured into something because
their position felt threatened. We don't know
what it is. And so it's always a
and like we said, there was a policy that
was in place. Yeah, I feel like if that was the reason
they'd have put that out there first though. You know,
if you had forced a woman to do anything, they'd
have put that out there. Because right now
it's all shrouded in secrecy and everybody's like, well, what happened?
You know, why did he get a year? Why did other people didn't get suspended?
So, you know, I don't think keeping it secret is going to be sustainable for the Celtics organization.
Yeah. And I also think that sometimes force, you don't understand.
Like sometimes some people are quiet and do things just because they might feel like I have to do this.
Or maybe you start something and want to break it off and then you feel pressured to keep things a secret.
True.
It could be uncomfortable.
We just don't know.
But why put that out?
If I'm the organization, why put out that it was intimate and consensual to begin with,
if all of that is the case?
Okay, so the Celtics said it was consensual.
Yeah, the Celtics put that statement out.
Okay, I don't know.
Yeah, the Celtics organization put that statement out, that it was intimate and consensual.
I just feel like there was an affair.
I have no idea.
But I'm sure we'll hear more as things are happening.
All right, now Floyd Mayweather knocked out MMA star
Mikuru Asakura over the weekend.
It was an exhibition, a three-round exhibition,
and this was near Tokyo.
And so, you know, apparently, according to reports,
he doesn't want to actually take an exhibition fight
where he could potentially get hurt.
Mayweather has said he doesn't want to trade punches
with anybody who has a good chance of hurting him.
And clearly that didn't happen.
It was a second round knockout.
So there you have it.
That sounds so crazy.
I'm going to take an exhibition fight,
but nobody that could beat me.
Just somebody that I could beat. And I'll just make a couple of, you know, 20, 30, 40 million. He's right so crazy. I'm going to take an exhibition fight, but nobody that could beat me. Just somebody that I could beat.
I'll just make a couple of,
you know,
20, 30, 40 million.
He's right, though.
He's going to pay for it.
Why risk getting hurt?
Like, why fight a real boxer?
Why fight Manny Pacquiao?
I was like, why?
For what?
When I'm still going to make
tens of millions of dollars
to do exhibition fights.
Why?
At least make me believe it's real.
Get a wrestler
and make me believe it's real.
Like, you know,
I'm not going to fight anybody
that's halfway good.
I just want to
put him on his ass and keep him moving. By the way, he's not selling this in America. So maybe, you know, I'm not going to fight anybody that's halfway good. I just want to... It's still real. Put him on his ass
and keep him moving.
By the way,
he's not selling this in America.
So maybe, you know,
in those places...
People just want to see him fight.
Yeah, in those places
where he's fighting,
they just want to go
see Floyd Mayweather.
So they don't care.
All right.
It's not like he's selling
this on American pay-per-view.
And also,
prayers out to Post Malone.
Apparently,
he has been hospitalized
and canceled his Boston show
just a week after
falling on stage.
We saw that nasty fall that he took during a show in St. Louis.
He did continue the show after that, but something wasn't right.
He said on tour, I usually wake up at 4 o'clock p.m.
And today I woke to a cracking sound on the right side of my body.
I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before.
So unfortunately, he said there's like a stabbing pain whenever he breathes or whenever he moves.
All right. Well, that is whenever he moves. All right.
Well, that is your rumor report.
All right.
We got front page news next.
What are we talking about?
Yeah.
And let's celebrate this again.
Rihanna doing the Super Bowl halftime show.
We'll give you some more details.
All right.
We'll get into that next.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.

The Dallas Cowboys are going to beat
the New York Giants 15-12.
That's not going to happen.
Don't you dare. Giants will be playing the Cowboys
tonight at 15 Eastern.
I'll be DJing the game. I'll be there live.
And we're going home with a win.
And you have on your official uniform of all
Dominican Giants fans, a Giants jersey and white jeans.
That's right.
We all whiting it at the game today.
So white jersey, white everything.
And, yes, I will have on some white jeans.
I know.
I've been living in New York long enough to know what the official uniform of Dominican New York Giants fans are.
New York Giants jersey and white jeans.
Probably a Victor Cruz jersey, too.
Exactly.
How'd you know?
Exactly. Exactly. How'd you know? Exactly.
Exactly.
How'd you know?
Exactly.
You know what?
You woke up next to me.
That's why.
What else we got, E?
All right.
Well, let's talk about what's going on with Brett Favre for a minute.
ESPN reports that John Davis, who is the former director of Mississippi's Department of Human
Services, has pleaded guilty, and that is to stay in federal charges for his alleged
role in a welfare scandal.
As part of that plea deal, he has also agreed to testify against others in that case,
and other people could include Brett Favre.
Now, Davis is accused of misdirecting millions of dollars in federal welfare funds
towards his own pet projects, including the construction of a new volleyball facility
at Favre's alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi.
According to investigators, they allege that John Davis worked facility at Favre's alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi. According to investigators,
they allege that John Davis worked with Brett Favre
to secure at least $5 million,
which came reportedly from the Temporary Assistance
for Needy Families,
which is a program that is supposed to help needy families
get self-sufficiency.
Now, according to Brett Favre's lawyer,
he says that Brett Favre had no idea
that that grant money was pulled from a federal welfare program, but they do have text messages that indicate that he actually did know.
The text exchange reportedly included Brett Favre, John Davis, and Nancy New, who is a nonprofit leader who procured the funds for that sports facility.
Now, Brett Favre allegedly texted, if you were to pay me, is there any way the media can find out where it came from and how much? And she responded, no, we have never had that
information publicized. I understand you being uneasy about that, though. And shortly after that,
she confirmed that the money had been secured. And she wrote, wow, Jessica got the phone with
Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant. He is on board with this. We will get this done.
And then a message in December of 2017 appears to show Brett Favre celebrating that transaction.
Nancy Sensa came today and dropped some money off.
Thank you.
My goodness.
Thank you. We need to set up the promo soon.
You're way too kind.
So far, Brett Favre has not been charged in this welfare misspending case, but he was sued by the state of Mississippi this year.
He was accused of receiving $1.1 million for speeches that he never gave. Now for John
Davis's part, again, he's the former director of Mississippi's Department of Human Services.
He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and to commit theft concerning
programs receiving federal funds and one count of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds.
He now faces up to 15 years in prison.
Yeah, Brett Favre and former governor of Mississippi, Phil Bryan, are welfare queens.
OK, stealing money and resources out of the mouths of needy families.
If you ever needed more proof that people in America don't give a damn about the poor, look no further.
It's one thing when you just turn a blind eye to the plight of the poor,
but when you straight up steal from them, disgusting.
And also, I would have felt like it would have been really easy for Brett Favre to raise the money for that the right way or use his own funds.
But I feel like that should have been something that, I mean, was that difficult to do?
Come on.
Who knows? All right.
Now, Rihanna is headlining the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show that's going to happen on February 12th in Glendale, Arizona.
Roc Nation has issued a statement.
They said Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn,
a person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever, self-made in business and entertainment.
Now, Apple Music's Super Bowl halftime
show, the NFL head of
music said, we are thrilled to welcome Rihanna
to the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show
stage, and they said, we look forward
to collaborating with Rihanna,
Roc Nation, and Apple Music to bring fans another
historic halftime show performance.
Now, what are we getting after this
halftime performance? An album or more Fenty
Beauty products? Both.
That's the bet Vegas needs to do.
It sounds like a good bundling.
Yeah, I think both.
You think both?
Absolutely.
Okay.
Because she has until February 12th to get it together.
That'd be a good one.
She's had eight years.
Yeah.
She's been in the studio.
We've seen that.
We've seen her in the studio in pictures, and we know she's been working.
That's a good bet, right?
Are we getting Fenty Beauty products and album or both?
Both.
What's the line in Vegas on that?
All right.
Well, that is your Front Page News.
Question.
Russia and Ukraine still going back and forth, correct?
Back and forth.
Yeah, the United Nations General Assembly just happened. So what happened to all the sanctions that they said that we were going to put down
and that was going to slow them down and wasn't going to...
Are we talking about that anymore? No. Because we haven't
talked about Russia and Ukraine in a long time.
Russia and Ukraine turned to a D story a long time ago.
It was the A story, but then
it dropped to about a D-E story.
Okay. I don't even know
if it's a D-E story anymore. There's brief mentions here
and there. I'm just asking. I just haven't heard anything about it.
No, they just had the U.N. General Assembly
where both... We talked about that.
Zelensky spoke and so did Putin.
What'd they say?
Remember Putin gave a...
He said what'd they say?
Yeah, Putin gave the first live statement that he's given in like years since the war started.
What'd he say though?
I mean...
Didn't we talk about this last week?
I don't know.
He talked about more nuclear weapons and more consequences.
So the sanctions didn't work?
I mean,
they said it was
a long-term play.
But I will say
they haven't defeated Ukraine yet.
And people thought
it was going to happen
a lot quicker than it did, right?
All right.
Well,
that is your front page news.
Now,
let's open up the phone lines.
800-585-1051.
Let's talk
workplace relationships.
All right?
Now, this, of course, comes from what's going on in Boston, but...
And you and Charlamagne.
No, not me and Charlamagne.
But what we were saying is, you know, they're saying that, you know,
relationships shouldn't work in the workplace.
You shouldn't have a relationship in the workplace, right?
That's what we were saying?
Well, I think it depends.
Some places say you can't.
And so if that's the rules, and I'm sure they have their reasons in certain organizations,
and some organizations are okay with it.
But let's think about it.
Where's the majority of time?
Where are you?
You're usually at work.
Let's say you work 9 to 5, right?
You usually get to work, well, let's say 8.30, you leave at 5.
You're there a long time.
Takes you an hour to get home.
So the majority of time, you're at work.
So you're more likely to talk to somebody,
develop a relationship with somebody at work.
It doesn't make sense.
Maybe it's the position that you're in.
When you look at the Jeff Zucker situation or you look at the culture of the Celtics,
maybe it's the position that you're in.
Maybe if you're not a high-level ranking executive,
maybe it's different.
But if you're a high-level ranking executive,
you're a leader, you probably shouldn't engage.
Let's open up the phone lines.
800-585-1051.
Just like if you're in the NBA and you're not supposed to talk to
cheerleaders, right?
You're not supposed to.
Right?
But the NBA player doesn't make the cheerleader's job, right?
They don't hire and fire cheerleaders, right?
I don't know what you mean.
Yeah, I mean, you can make somebody feel uncomfortable in the workplace,
but if it's a rule that they have,
and I think they're also thinking
about potential lawsuits.
All right, let's talk about it.
800-585-1051.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Come on in.
The Breakfast Club.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired, depressed,
a little bit revolutionary?
Consider this.
Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine.? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag.
I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine.
I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Ladonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tribe own country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warheads.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.

As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her
dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves,
for self-preservation and protection. it was literally that step by step.
And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going.
This increment of small, determined moments.
Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself.
It's okay.
Like grace.
Have grace with yourself.
You're trying your best.

This is Questlove, and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast
I've been working on with the Story Pirates and John Glickman

Niminy here.
I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records.
Historical Records brings history to life through hip-hop.
Flash, slam, another one gone.
Bash, bam, another one gone.
The crack of the bat and another one gone.
The tip of the cap, there's another one gone. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history.

Call 800-585-1051 to join into the discussion with The Breakfast Club.
Talk about it.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Now, if you're just joining us, we're talking about workplace relationships.
Now, this comes from what's going on in Boston with the Boston Celtics and what allegedly happened because we honestly don't know everything
that went with this going down.
And we're asking, what are your thoughts on workplace relationships?
Start with you, Yeezy.
I think it depends on where you work.
Like, you know, a long time ago, I worked at Macy's,
and I dated a guy who was one of my co-workers.
There was no issue with that. They didn't have any policy against that.
But if you work someplace where they have strong policies against it, or maybe you work someplace where it has to be something that you go to your, you know, superior and let them know what's happening and get approval.
You know, there's different ways that you can go about it. I think it depends on where you work. Yeah, I mean, I just think at the end of the day, I mean, I know people, we're all adults.
And if somebody's working in a workplace and you guys are feeling each other and you want to date, you know, it's kind of hard to say that's a problem.
Because like I said, the majority of time we're at work.
Most people are at work nine, you know, eight, nine hours.
Right. So you're going to see somebody.
And they say you should never date like your subordinates if you're a manager or you're somebody who's a CEO or a top executive,
because that is something that could lead to a lawsuit if somebody tries to come forward and say, I felt pressured.
I felt like this was my boss. I couldn't say no.
And that's a large part of the reason why a lot of organizations don't allow that.
Well, I mean, if there's rules in place that forbid workplace relations, I think you should just abide by those rules.
Unless, of course, this person is your soulmate and there is no way of knowing that person is
your soulmate without violating workplace relationships so i guess you're just gonna
miss out on the soulmate so i would just tell you to you know follow the rules if the rules are in
place that forbid it hey follow the rules you know what i just thought about you're an executive here
at our heart i am i am i'm, and? You be flirting with me.
I don't flirt with you, bro.
I think that at some point you have to
realize that we have millions and millions
of listeners.
They hear you flirting with me all the time.
We got a bunch of witnesses.
Even tonight, you want
my cheeks. What are you talking about?
You made a bet with Trav, sir.
I didn't jump in on that bet.
You got a bet with Trav, sir. Don't bring me in this. I didn't jump in on that bet. I didn't jump in on the bet.
You got a bet with Trav.
No, you said me this morning.
But, you know, even with basketball,
it's not like we haven't seen
relationships in basketball before.
You think about Jeannie Buss and Phil Jackson
when they were both with the Lakers. I guess some people would say
the power dynamic went to Jeannie then because
she's part owner of the team.
But even still, I wonder what the protocol was with that.
Like, for her to have to date a support in it and Phil Jackson,
I wonder what the protocol was.
I think they were engaged, weren't they, at one point?
Yes.
And sometimes you also have to think about what's going to happen
if things don't work out and how awkward that could potentially be.
Yeah, and things didn't work out for them.
So I just wonder what the protocol was for them to have a relationship.
Like if that relationship was switched.
If Phil was in a position of power?
And she was the coach.
I don't know.
I mean, I would assume that there's some type of protocol.
Like, you know, you'd have to present it.
You know how in radio you have to present like your other business ventures?
Yes.
Like I would assume it would be something like that.
I don't know.
Hello, who's this?
Hi, this is Ariana.
Hey, Ariana.
Good morning.
Talk to us.
What do you think about relationships in the workplace?
So I used to work at the Amazon warehouse.
So it is very complicated to meet somebody outside of work,
especially if you're working overnight for four days
or working over 10 to 12 hours.
It's very difficult.
So you kind of have no other option
but to talk to somebody at work my ex used to be my manager and i was his assistant but we both
kept it very very private of course a lot of people had speculation but honestly work relationships
don't work unfortunately okay oh so it didn't work huh yeah yours Yeah, yours didn't. She said her ex, so I guess it didn't.
How was it after you guys broke up?
So me and him both got promoted.
He helped me actually get my promotion before we even got together.
But me and him ended up getting promoted, and we moved to two different warehouses but within the same area.
So to hear each other's voices on, like, the conference calls
with other, like, big higher-up managers, it was a little awkward.
And then, like, I know a bunch of people that I used to work with in different warehouses.
So they would always tell me, like, oh, he's always pushing bad upon you and all this other stuff.
Like, it was just really sour.
He just started to become really petty.
And I just got really upset.
I started doing the same thing.
Like, it was just a lot of back and forth. Wow.
See, you could risk your job.
I mean, because even if you look at nurses or doctors or people in the medical industry,
like she said, they work 10-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts.
So who are you likely to hang around with, to be around, to date?
But, you know, I think the problem with this, too, is that, you know,
Emei Yudoka was engaged and the woman he had an affair with was married.
That's the biggest issue.
So sometimes if you have, I mean, you know how many complications that can cause at work
when you're having an affair?
That's the biggest issue.
Not even him being engaged.
If you're going to sleep with somebody in your workplace, don't let it be somebody that's married.
And the person they're married to also works in the workplace.
That's not going well.
But if that happens, it's also the woman's fault as well.
It's not just his fault.
But that's what I said. She's married. not just his fault. But that's what I said.
She's married.
She took the vows.
But that's what I said.
That's what I said earlier.
Like, what is the punishment for the woman in that situation?
Because she works for the team, too.
They said it was an intimate, consensual relationship.
So maybe that's the reason that it's shrouded in secrecy.
As I said on Friday, it's probably some high-level executive's wife he knocked off.
And in that situation, they're going to protect that high-level executive and his wife.
800-585-1051.
We're talking about workplace relationships.
What's your thoughts?
The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
I know it now.
I like it.
I like it.
I like it.
I like it.
That kudos, you know what that is?agne Tha Guy, we are The Breakfast Club.
Now if you're just joining us, we're talking about workplace relationships.
We were talking about it early in a lot of businesses, they don want it they don't want to see it but I mean if you really
think about it where you majority your time most people are at work right yeah
work eight nine hours a day so who are you usually you know like most like most
likely to date somebody at your job right makes sense mm-hmm let's go to the
phone lines hello who's this biggie big. Big E, what's up? Talk to us, brother.
What's up, man?
Hey, man, y'all watch Grey's Anatomy?
Nah.
No, I used to watch it a long time ago.
Or The Office.
Well, yeah, I started Grey's Anatomy on Netflix, man. And, man, the first few seasons, they are smashing everybody.
She's smashing everybody.
So it's like my wife had to go be a nurse. So I'm like...
Uh-oh.
I think they said
doctors are the number one
type of job
where people cheat.
Right, exactly.
And any type of job
in that field
that people making money,
everybody healthy,
looking good,
and they working close together.
Yeah, I think they spend
a lot of overnights.
Yeah, a lot of calls.
They're on call all the time,
so that's a perfect excuse to go do whatever.
Oh, my beeper's going off.
Got to go.
And they might have a lot of downtime
depending on the hospital or where they at,
so they're there in the room talking and speaking
and getting close.
It just happens.
Hello, who's this?
How you doing?
This is Lance from New Haven.
What's up, brother?
Talk to us.
How you doing?
I'm just calling in to talk about the topic
of the day. Yep.
So, I had a relationship
in probably almost every job
I had. Goodness gracious.
Okay, player. No, no, no.
It's only because I used to be
a bartender. So,
we stay late nights, you know,
and we have our little clique that goes out
after work.
And by that time, everyone else is already doing their own thing.
So you develop feelings for these people.
I'm actually about to marry the woman that I was working with in my last job.
Was there any protocol against that at any of your jobs where they said you couldn't do that?
I mean, they didn't say you could, but they didn't really make it clear that you couldn't. Okay, so
it wasn't a rule. So you were fine because you
guys were allowed to date each other.
Exactly, exactly. So
as long as you weren't crazy
at work, but
the restaurant's an environment where everyone's
friendly, you gotta be interactive.
So it
was really easy to develop feelings for people you work with.
Well, congratulations on your engagement.
Well, thank you.
I appreciate it.
I love you guys, by the way.
I listen every morning.
Love you too, my brother.
Thanks, brother.
Hello, who's this?
Yeah, this is Ash from Jersey.
What's up?
Good morning, Rise and Grind.
Rise and Grind, baby.
What the hell is Rise and Grind?
People still say that?
Rise and Grind.
You wake up, you rise, and you got to grind. You got to get to it. I'm a truck driver, baby. What the hell is rise and grind? People still say that? Rise and grind. You wake up, you rise, and you got to grind.
You got to get to it.
I'm a truck driver, baby.
Why do we got to grind?
Grind the coffee.
Grind the coffee beans.
We got you, ass.
Talk to us.
What you think about it?
You know what I mean?
So are you in a relationship with anybody in your business?
No, I was.
But it's just as simple as that.
Entry level, they really ain't going to care what you do in the business.
But when you're at the high up, you get held to a certain standard.
You already know what you got to deal with.
Like I used to work at FedEx.
Entry level, you don't really care.
But when you get that manager position, HR looking at you crazy when you start talking to certain people.
So you already know what you're dealing with when you're becoming one of the top.
I'm going to say especially a black
coach. Any little
thing that he does, they're going to be right
at your neck. So he should
have known what he was doing. She's absolutely
right. That's why I said it's
about your position. If you're a high-ranking
official or executive in an organization,
you probably don't want to do that.
Hello, who's this? Good
morning. This is Dee.
Good morning. How are you feeling this morning, mama? I'm feeling good. How are you? I'm good.
Now you're about to marry somebody you met at work, huh? Yes. So he originally was my supervisor.
We had connected through an employee celebration. And at first I was like, oh, I don't know if we
should be doing this, but obviously things transpired.
So I personally agree with you, MB. I think like you mentioned, you know,
you spend all this time with these people, 40 plus hours,
you spend more time with them even compared to your own family.
So I definitely think work relationships develop,
but I also agree with Charlemagne. Shout out Charlemagne. Hi, Yee.
I think that depending on your title and your position, if you know that it's definitely not what the company is for, then you shouldn't do it.
But I think in defense of what's going on with the Celtics, I am from Massachusetts, so I feel for them right now.
I don't think it should be a bad thing if it's consensual.
OK, well, thank you, Mama.
You're welcome.
Unless somebody's married.
Yeah, I mean, that's the thing about the Celtics coach, man.
Like, it just feels like it's some real self-sabotage going on
because you can't let your penis mess up your paper.
Like, there's absolutely no reason for him to be sleeping, you know,
with people in the organization,
especially married people within the organization,
especially if the husband works in the organization as well.
That is to fast-track the self-destruction.
And at some point, you have to say to yourself, man, is it worth it?
There's a lot of power in self-control,
and this just seems like a supreme lack of discipline and self-control.
All right, well, we got rumors on the way?
Yes, iHeart Festival was over the weekend, and so was Rolling Loud,
and we'll give you some of the highlights from both.
All right, we'll get into that next.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk iHeart Radio Festival.
This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee.
On The Breakfast Club.
All right, well, the iHeartRadio Music Festival
was over the weekend,
and this was in Las Vegas.
Of course, it was two nights,
September 23rd and 24th,
and also the Daytime Festival.
And some of the performances
included the Black Eyed Peas,
Lionel Richie, LL Cool J,
Diddy,
Hubert Alkin Combs,
and Bryson Tiller, also Diplo.
A lot of people were in attendance.
Lotto was there.
Megan Thee Stallion headlined.
Willow, Chloe Bailey.
So here was Diddy in his performance, and he did pay some homage to Kim Porter.
All right, so he dedicated that set to Kim Porter. Also...
I want Diddy to make
his own song to
Kim Porter. You know, missing you
is so personal to Big.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, and he also did bring out Bryson Tiller to perform their Gotta Move On song as well personal to big. You know what I mean? Right. Like, yeah.
Yeah, and he also did bring out Bryson Tiller
to perform their
Gotta Move On song
as well as
King Combs came out.
I saw him doing a live
with his son
and saying,
basically,
you've been on the stage
with me before
because you're my son,
but now you're on stage
because you got a hit.
And so that's a huge deal
for a father and son.
It's a tough record.
It's a dope record.
Can't stop.
Won't stop.
It's a tough tune. They killed it at Rolling Loud stop, won't stop. It's a tough tune.
They killed it at Rolling Loud.
Mm-hmm.
And let's talk about Diddy.
He was discussing love.
I need everybody to get about your seats.
You are at a Diddy concert right now.
And at a Diddy concert, you must sing, you must dance,
you must elevate higher, raise your frequency, your vibration.
In the name of love, throw your
L's up in the air if you a lover, not a
hater one time.
Alright,
Megan Thee Stallion was a headliner
on Saturday and she showed up.
She did a lot of songs off her new album
Traumazine and she also
gave some messages, positive
messages to the audience.
I don't know about y'all, but I love my body.
I do what I want to with my body.
When I want to with my body.
With who I want to with my body.
Because it's who?
My body.
Oh, okay.
If you love your body, let me hear you make some noise.
Now, LL Cool J was in attendance as well, and he did all hits during his set.
Don't you dare stare.
You better move.
Don't ever compare.
Knee to the breast, get her off in slice, Envy.
Legend.
That's what he says.
I'm going to knock you out.
I don't know why it sounds funny when you do it.
But you can also see that in case you missed it, you can relive all of that on The CW.
They're going to air a two-night television special
October 7th and October 8th.
All right.
Meanwhile, Rolling Loud was in New York.
That festival happened.
And A$AP Rocky was on stage.
But unfortunately, his set was cut short.
I'm not sure exactly what happened,
but he posted, I'm so hurt right now.
Last night was supposed to be a turning point in my live shows.
From the old to the new, I will take full responsibility for the circumstances
of what led to last night's show being everything it was and everything it wasn't.
I also want to acknowledge that even though I prepared the best show for my fans,
detail for detail, over the course of months,
I was unfortunately not able to bring my vision to fruition,
and I'm hurt about that.
But he did thank everybody for showing up for him. Regardless, here's what he had to say.
New York City, thank you so much. I ain't even gonna hold you. This is lit.
They cut the mic short, but it's all good. Thank you for the love, y'all. I appreciate that.
You heard? On ASAP. Everybody get home safe. I love you more. Everybody get home safe I love you all Everybody get home safe Spread the love
Remember that
Peace
Now he also went viral
Because he was in the mosh pit
That was funny
Definitely needed some help
Man that looks so crazy
Tyler the creator
Made it his avatar.
That was funny.
That's how you're supposed to look in the mosh pit, though.
I mean, it is a mosh pit.
There ain't no fun and games in the mosh pit.
Nah.
He looked like he jumped in there and was like, you know what?
You should look like you're fearing for your life in the mosh pit.
It's the mosh pit.
Shoot.
Yes.
That's the energy you want.
Now, he also said that he's not going to do any more live performances
until his next album drops.
We don't know when that is.
So that's it with A$AP Rocky until then.
21 Savage, meanwhile, said he will never perform at Rolling Loud again.
He tweeted out, Rolling Loud will never get a shot of me ever again.
Fans don't know what happened, but they are saying it might have something
to do with his experience backstage rather than the set itself.
Nicki Minaj.
Did he perform?
Did 21 Savage perform?
Yeah, he's saying he's never doing it again.
Okay.
All right, Nicki Minaj is the first female rapper
to headline Rolling Loud,
and people were very excited for that.
She brought out all kinds of special guests.
Fabio Foran came out.
Bia joined her, little Uzi Virgi, Herbo,
and the Barbz went crazy.
They said it's all because she is the queen.
In the meantime, Playboi Cardi brought out Kanye West also.
And then unfortunately, there were three artists,
drill artists who were cut from the lineup.
So at the request of Mayor Eric Adams and the NYPD,
Shai K, 22G's and Ron Suno were not allowed to participate.
And they said, you know, according to these artists,
they were baffled by the NYPD's decision.
But according to the New York Times,
they're saying that, you know,
I guess they felt like it was too dangerous.
And the NYPD said they had been affiliated
with recent acts of violence citywide.
So they believe if these individuals
were allowed to perform,
there would be a higher risk of violence.
All right. A lot of performances over the weekend. And be a higher risk of violence. All right.
A lot of performances over the weekend, and that is your Room of Reports.
Yeah, my daughter actually went to Roller Lounge.
She said she had a great time Friday.
She said it was just cold Friday.
She said it was very, very cold Friday.
And then she said on Sunday, she didn't go Saturday, she said Sunday,
she left right before Future got on because of ski mask.
And she said 21-7.
She said that it was a delay and Ski Mask didn't perform,
so she decided to leave.
But she said she had a great time, wonderful time,
and everything was nice.
It was raining, right?
Did they have to cut Future short because of the rain?
No, Future and Offset were performing in the rain.
He brought out Offset, and they were performing in the rain.
Oh, okay.
For some reason, I saw a Tracy post that it got cut short because of the rain. Oh, okay. For some reason, I saw a Tracy post.
It got cut short because of the rain.
Oh, no.
Oh, yeah.
I definitely saw a video of Offset turning up in the rain.
He was turning up in the rain.
All I kept thinking to myself, he's going to have a cold on Monday.
That's all I kept thinking about.
That's an old woman grandma thing.
You're going to have a cold on Monday.
That's all I got.
That boy's going to catch a cold now.
That boy, he's going to be sick.
Cardi going to be feeding him chicken noodle soup today.
All right.
Well, who are you giving your donkey to? Four after the hour. Let's talk be feeding him chicken noodle soup today. All right. Well, who you giving your donkey to?
Four after the hour.
Let's talk African princess.
Why don't we?
All right.
Like thereof.
We'll discuss.
All right.
We'll get to that next.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
It's time for
Donkey of the Day.
I'm a big boy.
I can take it.
If you feel I deserve it,
ain't no big deal.
I know Charlamagne
and God are going to
have some funny
sweet s*** out his mouth.
If God say something
you may not agree with,
doesn't mean I mean it.
Who's getting that donkey?
That donkey.
That donkey.
Donkey.
Donkey.
Donkey.
Donkey of the day right there.
It's a breakfast club, bitches.
You can call me the donkey of the day, but like, I mean no harm.
Yes, donkey of the day for Monday, September 26th goes to Darryl Robert Harrison.
He is 44 years old, and he was convicted of fraud after pretending to be a prince from Ghana.
Apologies.
Let me call him by his proper title.
Prince Daryl R. Atipo and Prophet Daryl R. Atipo.
OK, for several years, he claimed to be a minister alongside his stepfather at Powerhouse of Prayer Ministries.
The so-called prince has conned 14 people out of money that totaled over $800,000.
Several years.
What does that mean?
Seven exactly?
14 people?
So that's about a two-sucker-a-year average.
Harrison was convicted of mail and wire fraud,
conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud,
and witness tampering.
According to court documents from the Department of Justice,
Harrison deceived the victims into thinking they were investing into African trucking and mining companies with whom he had direct connections to.
The statement said many of the victims who were expecting to receive up to 33% on their investments of Harrison's scheme were a part of the powerhouse of prayer ministries.
Boy, oh boy, oh boy.
Y'all be using the church for every little scam, huh? The ministry financially supports religious services
in various church facilities,
along with private residencies
throughout the greater Dayton area.
Now this scam right here.
Prince Atthapur exploited the victims
to fund personal expenses,
including rent for a house in Colorado,
luxury vehicle purchases and rentals,
and vacation accommodations.
You know, there's a part of me
that feels like if folks fall for these types of scams, like daryl should be able to keep the money yes it's unethical
yes it's wrong but at some point there has to be accountability from the people who are so quick
to give up this bread like why would a prince of a royal african kingdom need your financial
assistance even if your knowledge of royal african kingdoms doesn't go any further than wakanda and zamunda you should know prince t'challa or prince hakeem would not need your
money same with people who you know get got on ig trying to turn 700 into 7 000 are people who get
dms from rihanna beyonce michael jackson asking for money if michael jackson hits you on the dm
and asks for money and you give it to him the person pretending to be michael jackson asking for money if michael jackson hits you on the dm and asks for money and you give it
to him the person pretending to be michael jackson is a very very very very very small part of the
problem okay the rest is on you and i envy you people i envy you because i got trust issues
all right this is something i've been exploring in therapy for a long time and my trust issues
prevent me from trusting in a lot of people and things, but I will let my guard down for certain things.
But never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever would I let my guard down enough to trust the African prince soliciting money from me via email.
Now, in case you're wondering, prosecutors said Harrison failed to provide investors with interest payments, routinely terminated all communications with investors,
ignored individual investor inquiries, you think, and ignored demands
from investors seeking the return of investment monies? Well, of course he did. What the hell
do we have to talk about after I done got over on you? What do you expect, a courtesy voice message
informing you that you are the latest victim of a scam? Would that make you feel better?
Look, man, I can't stand folks who prey on people's need to believe, especially when they
use the church. We know folks want quick, rich schemes.
But come on, man.
When something is too good to be true, it absolutely usually is.
Please give Daryl Robert Harrison the sweet sounds of the hammer tones.
Oh, now you are the donkey of the day.
You are the donkey of the day, you are the donkey.
Of the day, yee-haw.
He's looking at 20 years, by the way.
20 years.
Wow.
All right.
Well, thank you for that donkey of the day.
Now, when we come back, Adochi will be joining us.
Okay.
Adochi signed to TDE.
She performed at the BET Awards, right?
Killed it.
That's when she killed it?
It's the BET Awards?
Yeah, she did.
She's amazing.
Yeah, she killed it.
So we're going to talk to her when we come back.
So don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.

Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired? Depressed? A little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Laudonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Kaperburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tribe own country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.

As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions. but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams.
I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
For self-preservation and protection. It was literally
that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment
of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself. It's okay. Like, grace.
Have grace with yourself.
You're trying your best.
And you're gonna figure out the rhythm of this thing.

Flash, slam, another one gone. Bash, bam, another one gone. The crack of the bat and another one gone.
The tip of the cap, there's another one gone.
Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history.
Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama
who refused to give up her seat on the city bus
nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Check it.
And it began with me.
Did you know, did you know?
I wouldn't give up my seat.
Nine months before Rosa,
it was called a moment.
Get the kids in your life excited about history
by tuning in to Historical Records.
Because in order to make
history, you have to make some
noise. Listen

back together on Still the Place with a trip down memory lane and back to Melrose Place.
So listen to Still the Place on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to
podcasts.
You want the short version?
Nope, I want the long version.
Oh, man.
Yes.
Okay, I used to get bullied a lot.
I'm going to rush through it.
I used to get bullied a lot, and it was really bad.
And so one day I was like, you know what?
I'm sick of this.
I'm going to die one day,
and I want to die being myself, being so forget all of that other stuff and then I think early on I was
branding myself early and I didn't know it and I woke up one day and I was like forget J-Love I'm
doji and then I went to school in a tutu and I started doing music oh that makes sense so you
created uh I mean I learned this in therapy because I've done it before you created a character to
protect exactly as a defense yeah what age was this sixth grade oh sixth grade yeah sixth grade I mean, I learned this in therapy because I've done it before. You created a character to protect the real superhero.
Exactly, as a defense.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What age was this?
Sixth grade.
Oh, sixth grade.
Yeah, sixth grade.
And I've been doji ever since.
Yeah, that's...
What is it about sixth grade?
That was my turning point, too.
Kids are really mean.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was bad.
Let's start from the beginning.
What got you into music?
How did you design?
Let's start from the whole thing.
Now, you're from Tampa, Florida.
Yes, I'm from Tampa, Florida. The craziest people in America come from the bronx and all of florida exactly come on where are
you from south carolina okay sweet oh my i have family there really what part um actually north
carolina okay okay i think greensville that's what it's called green greensboro greens yeah
greenville is south carolina yeah so um i grew up in the church and I started doing music there.
I was in the band.
My mom had me in like all types of different activities and stuff.
I did every sport you could possibly mention, like down to swimming and like freaking lacrosse and stuff.
And from there, I think middle school, I started writing music, but I wasn't taking it serious.
High school, I went to performing arts school and i really excelled there and then i put up my first song in like 11th grade
and i haven't stopped since wow now when you said you got bullied did you go to a white school where
you went bullied or was it a black school yeah i mean i got bullied my whole life it was really bad
so i did go to a private school and then i went to a private school but i grew up in the hood
so i would go to private school on, like, a different part of town,
and then I would go back home.
You know what I'm saying?
You bougie, you rich.
Exactly.
So it was kind of, like, that type of experience.
So I got bullied a lot in, like, predominantly white areas,
but then I would go around my black friends and get, like, bullied too.
Oh, that's f***ing cool.
And so, yeah, I got bullied all the way up until sixth grade,
and then I was, like, no mas, no more.
And why Dolce? Like, what was that name? Like, where did that name come from up until sixth grade. And then I was like, no mas, no more. And why Dolce?
Like, what was that name?
Like, where did that name come from?
I don't know.
It really was like, I hate to sound super dramatic, but it really was like spiritual for me.
It just kind of came to me and I wrote it in my journal and it resonated with me because it didn't feel like an alter ego.
It really did feel like me, like a state of mind, like a decision to live a certain way.
Now you signed with TDE.
Yes.
How did that happen?
How did you hook up with TDE?
How did they hear your music?
I had a song go viral on TikTok
called Yucky Bucky Fruitcake.
Yucky Bucky Fruitcake.
Yes.
Why are you laughing?
That's a wild thing to call somebody.
Yucky Bucky Fruitcake.
Yucky Bucky Fruitcake.
It's the title of a book,
my favorite book, my favorite childhood book. Okay. Who wrote that? Yucky Bucky fruitcake Yucky Bucky fruitcake it's the title of a book my favorite book
my favorite
childhood book
okay
and
who wrote that
Yucky Bucky
fruitcake
Junie B. Jones
Junie B. Jones
Barbara
that's my girl
I know Junie B. Jones
is a beast
yes
so
yeah
that song went viral
and A&R over there
hooked up with
Top
and told them about me
they called me out
and then I made my single
called Crazy
and I got signed off of that song and many others so bt awards yeah first time a lot of people got
to see you and see you perform yes how was that nerve-wracking how long did you you know practice
because you killed it i wasn't okay so i was supposed to be on the small stage but i mean in
so many words i just believed in myself enough. I was like, you know what?
When I do this, I want to do it right.
So I told him, I was like, instead of being on the small stage,
I'll just wait until I have my chance on the main stage.
That's what you told him.
So you told BET now you'll pass.
I said, let's postpone.
Okay.
I didn't deny.
But I was just like, I will wait until my time comes.
And they hit me up three days before and told me that they would like to have me on the main stage.
And so I was already out of town.
So I had one, technically like two days to rehearse.
So I felt very unprepared for the performance.
But it turned out to be good.
And I was extremely nervous.
It was a lot of malfunctions in that performance.
But I think it was still iconic.
You killed it.
Yeah, thank you. How does it feel
to be the first
woman rapper on TDE? Yeah.
How does that feel? I mean, it's a lot of dope-ass
rapping-ass rappers on TDE. It is.
It's a lot of pressure, but it's
good pressure that I put on myself because it's like
such a dope legacy.
It's TDE. They're like,
that's hip-hop. Real rap. they're like that's hip-hop like real wet real
wet hip-hop so did you have to do were you there like what you know Kendrick
was transitioning out did you ever get to connect with him in any way um not in
person Kendrick being like Africa yeah it's hard to catch him yeah but he did
say that he thinks that I'm amazing And that was
That meant a lot to me too
So hopefully we can meet
In the future
Who put their arm around you
First like rap wise there
Isaiah for sure
Okay
Yeah he put me on his song
And that was dope
And then after Isaiah
It was
Soul
But we haven't made music
Together yet
And then after Soul SZA
What did Soul do
He just
Soul's just cool
Yeah yeah
He's just like really wise
and like just really cool
and he had like a leg brace
and he looks like a pirate
and it's really cool.
Now the name of the project is
She, Her, Black B.
Yeah.
I'm not going to say the word.
Yes.
Can you explain what the title
of your latest project means?
It means so many different things.
Please. So going back to like I like to address a lot of my trauma and i like to like
get through things and unpack and work through things with a lot of my music and um me and my
friends uh came up with this concept for a production company we want to produce music
videos for different artists and do visuals and shows and stuff and we ended up calling it i say b right don't say it
okay you can you can say i can say it yeah so we ended up coming up with the name those black
bitches inspired by kendrick lamar's the little homies and we just thought it was funny at first
but then we really started unpacking it and my friend at the time oyenda she was like um what
if one day we win an award and like all these white people have to
present an award and say this is presented to those black bitches there you go we thought it
was iconic something about it is like dark but empowering at the same way that I'm still trying
to figure out how to explain to people why not those black queens um you know that's great
that's great it's just that's great too but it's like i don't know it's something about there's
like an archetype of a black bitch when i'm talking about the black bitch i'm talking about
this character we're creating or this this character that people think we are and i thought
it was kind of funny now i saw you say uh really early on you was in tune with your feelings i
could know what a vibe was i could feel the presence of love i matured with my mother i watched her go through years of really bad relationships she didn't trust anybody or herself
i watched her get older and mature transition and find her spirit she's my first example of what a
woman is so what the maturing what's your mother look like where did you get that i don't know
wow i think that was like a research team tweet was like a tweet and delete actually but anyway
what was the experience
what?
yeah what did maturing
with your mother look like
growing up?
my mom is a single mom
I'm the oldest
so me and my sisters
are seven years apart
so like
my mom was a young mother too
she got pregnant with me
at 18
so like
I literally watched her
grow up
and
it was so interesting
because we were like really close friends that grew up together we grew up and it was so interesting because we were like really close friends.
I grew up together.
We grew up together.
It was so interesting watching her grow up.
And like to this day, I want to be like my mom.
Like it's not even about my career.
She's just like such a fascinating woman.
She's so poised, graceful and kind, but also like roaring and you're scared of her.
And I want to be that place one day.
But yeah, that experience really shaped who I am now and just like how I her and i want to be that place one day but yeah that experience
really shaped who i am now and just like how i love and how i approach life i'm embodying my
mother how did mom act when you were getting bullied um because she was a younger mom so
she's the type to pull up at the school and absolutely my mom was very protective of me
but it got to a point where she was like okay girl how many times you gonna get beat up like
how many times you gonna get beat up are you are you gonna girl, how many times are you going to get beat up? Like, how many times are you going to get beat up?
Are you going to keep letting people bully you?
Are you going to stand up for yourself?
So eventually I saw her kind of fall back and just allow me to stand up for myself.
Like, you going to fight back or you going to get beat up?
And I got tired of getting beat up.
You can only get drugged through the dirt so many times.
All right, we got more with Dolce.
When we come back, don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Everybody, it's DJ Envy, Angela yee charlamagne the guy we are the breakfast club we're still kicking it with doji you know she signed the tde charlamagne when the last time
you got into a fight um actually a couple months ago really my downtown apartment with who okay
downtown where i don't downtown Okay, okay. Yeah.
I was outside my apartment.
It was like a drunk situation.
They were drunk.
We were drunk.
And we were like on these scooters.
Somebody in my group lost a purse.
We went outside to look for it. But you know, when people are drunk, they take it the wrong way.
Lost the purse outside your apartment?
Lost the purse outside because we pulled up on the scooters.
Pull up on the scooters.
We went inside.
We was like, wait, lost the purse.
We go outside. The group is like, this girl in the scooters. We went inside. We was like, wait, lost the purse. We go outside.
The group is like, this girl in the group, she's so loud.
Ah, ah, ah, ah.
Don't nobody got your purse.
Da, da, da, da.
But I'm like, okay, girl, you drunk.
Like, whatever.
We looking for the purse.
We ain't got your purse.
Da, da, da.
Go back inside.
Go back inside.
I'm like, okay, girl.
Like, relax.
Go back inside.
Go back inside.
And I was just like, you're not going to keep telling me to go back inside.
I'm already going back inside.
And I don't like that. Wait, wait, wait. so we start going back at it it's your it's your apartment
she's telling me to go in my apartment that's what I'm saying but you're not gonna tell me to
go but you're not gonna tell me to go in there so we go back and forth I can't remember a lot
of it because I was drunk eventually I just popped her because she was running her mouth
oh you're not gonna touch mouth Oh you not gonna touch me You not gonna touch me Okay
Yeah
Did you win?
We got jumped
How many of them was it?
Yo it was like six of them
It was only three of us
Damn
My ex at the time was fighting
His sister and me
He got jumped by three of the dudes
Oh your ex at the time
So I was
Oh my god
Three dudes and three girls? It was bad Wait a minute But two of the dudes so I was three dudes and three girls
it was bad
wait a minute
but two of the girls ran
because I was tagging her friend
no not my girls
I was tagging her friend
so it was really four on three
and two of them ran
so are you the girlfriend
that's going to start trouble
even though you're outnumbered
because it seemed like
y'all was outnumbered
you knew you was outnumbered
and now you just got your man beat up
because that shit just went in the house.
Because you said it was three dudes.
That's why he your ex.
That's why he your ex.
Because you the one
that just went in the house
like the girl said.
But our dignity,
our dignity,
it's about respect.
And this is my house.
You're not going to try me.
You just got beat up by three dudes.
But he has his dignity.
So let me ask you a question.
After y'all got jumped...
Does he have his teeth?
Listen.
After y'all got jumped,
what'd y'all end up doing?
Oh, we went upstairs.
We got more drunk.
Y'all went back in the house.
We did go back in the house.
You just prolonged going back in the house?
We did.
Yeah.
What did your boyfriend say after that?
After you got him beat up?
He wasn't upset at me.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, that's not why we broke up.
Tell me why y'all broke up.
I'll tell you if this was really the reason.
Part of my life.
I'm not going to do that.
Okay.
All right.
Now tell us about the Persuasive remix,
which says, ah.
Absolutely.
What do you want to know?
How did you link up with her
to do that record?
I mean, other than TDE.
We didn't link up.
We didn't link up in person
to do that record.
Okay.
I went on tour with her.
You know, we have linked up before, but it wasn't for that record.
I was getting glam one day, and then my team played it, and they surprised me, and I was like, oh, dang, she did the remix, and it was fantastic.
Fantastic.
I was going to save our collab for something else, because I didn't think that song was
good enough for her.
Well, like, I didn't think the song was that. I didn't think she would like it.
Really?
Yeah.
Why are you?
Because she's so good.
Okay, okay, okay.
I wanted to give her something that was like, oh my God, amazing out of this world and like
deep and vulnerable.
And she was like, girl, let's do this.
She embraced you, I'm sure.
Right?
Because she took you on tour.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Absolutely.
What kind of game did she give you?
Well, the game she gave me, I really can't even talk about.
It's like more personal.
Like, I don't even want to like.
Okay.
Yeah.
But we talk about like, it has nothing to do with music.
You know what I'm saying?
It's about life.
It's about your spirit.
So it's like, yeah.
I feel like you're very in tune with your feelings though.
Absolutely.
What do you think got you in tune with your feelings?
I don't know.
Maybe church.
I just like, I was speaking in tongues when I was like 10.
So like, I just have always like had a longing to connect with spirit and God.
And I look for God in everything that I do.
I mean, God is in everything that you do.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Did you ever want to be a pastor or anything?
You ever thought that, you know, you're going to be a good old church girl?
I feel like I am a pastor right now.
Ooh.
Yeah.
In my music and as an artist.
It's just not in the traditional way that other people see it.
I think it's in the way that, it's the best way, actually.
Because I don't think there's nothing that can get messaging across more than music.
Yeah.
So I feel like I'm ministering in my music.
Even when people don't feel like it's gospel, I think it is.
Do you feel like it's hard growing up in this era where everything is so, like, transparent?
It's like every second of your life
is damn near
on social media somewhere.
It's not hard for me.
It is a little odd sometimes
but it's not hard for me
because I'm like
I'm an internet baby.
So even before
I was doing music
I had a YouTube channel
where I would just talk about
all my business all the time.
I'm extremely transparent
and it's not hard for me
to be transparent at all
on the internet
because that's how
I've been communicating
with the world
since I was literally like able to talk is that good or bad though i wonder
it can be bad it's been positive in my life though it doesn't affect it helps me even so
it makes me like really honest and brave and i i feel empowered by it sometimes i wonder when
late nowadays when labels sign a younger artist they they be like okay let's go scrub your internet history
so before
you think so
just in case
I would hope they
well they didn't do it
with me
yeah
who's in your DMs
right now
who's in my
like artists
sure
nobody
my DMs are so dry
that's gonna change today
no I doubt it
I don't think I scream
I don't
I don't scream
like coming to my DMs.
Nope, she make too much sound effects.
She might wash paper plates in her spare time.
Nobody makes passes at me.
It's really weird.
Really?
Yeah.
Really?
Yeah, no.
Why do you think that is?
I don't scream like come in my DMs.
I was talking to my friend about this.
Like, I know that I'm beautiful.
You are.
And I do have like a sensuality about myself in a class.
But I don't scream like, oh, I'm ready and available and you can get me by sliding in my DMs.
I don't give that energy.
But isn't that the way that this era communicates?
So sliding in the DMs is kind of like calling, I guess.
I don't attract that.
Yeah, text it, right?
I know.
No.
No.
Never?
If you slide in my DMs, how do I meet somebody?
In person.
Let it happen.
Do you still do that?
Yeah. Your generation still does that? In person. Let it happen. People still do that? Yeah.
Your generation still does that?
I do.
Okay.
Yeah.
When was the last time you met somebody in person?
Recently.
Okay, where at?
When I made you smile, okay.
Yeah.
Where at?
You blushing?
Look at you.
Here.
New York?
A New Yorker?
No.
Oh, he's just in town for Fashion Week.
Where's he from?
What makes you think it's a he?
You right.
Where's he or she from?
Are they?
I'm not going to say.
I think it's time for us to wrap it up.
You said are they and you said I'm not going to say.
It's been great, guys.
How do you know we're guys?
You don't know what we identify as.
No, you're absolutely correct.
That's right.
Thanks, Charlemagne.
This has been fun.
Tell me where to find you, Dolce.
Oh, you guys can find me on all streaming platforms and social platforms.
Dolce, D-O-E-C-H-I-I.
Dolce, ladies and gentlemen.
You sure, Dolce?
We don't want you to leave.
Dolce, it's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
It's about time.
What's going on?
Rumor Report.
Rumor Report.
This is The Rumor Report.
Talk to them.
With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club.
All right.
Well, our condolences go out to Brooke Bailey and her family.
Very unfortunate that her daughter, Kayla, passed away yesterday.
She was only 25 years old.
Now, Brooke Bailey posted,
Forever my baby, pretty black, a.k.a. Kayla Nicole Bailey.
This is not a goodbye.
Mommy will see you soon.
And the cause of death right now is unknown,
but there are reports that she died from injuries from a car accident.
And Brooke Bailey did repost an article about the crash.
But the official cause
and manner of death have not yet been released.
That's horrible, man.
Definitely sending healing energy to
Brooke Bailey and her family. That's horrible.
Absolutely. 25 years old.
All right,
and since we just played Thames, Thames is
on the cover of GQ, and
she talked about some advice that she got from Rihanna.
She said that Rihanna told her to just stop being so humble all the time.
She said that cosigns and accolades don't really hype her up as much as people would expect.
But she said Rihanna said, you need to be that bitch, you know, you are.
So she said she is grateful and it does mean something to her.
But she said if someone told my five-year-old self listening to Destiny's Child that one day you're going to have a song with one of them, Beyonce, I might just be confused.
So shout out to Thames for that.
All right.
Now, T.I. versus DJ Academics.
It looks like the two of them probably will have a conversation at some point.
This all started with Academics making some comments about Regine's
choice of dating preferences. He was talking about
women who are
dating hood and words.
Regine loved hood
and she loved Wife and Lucy.
That was her. He had Thug Life
tied across his chest. I think even Wayne got
Thug Life tied across his chest. She loved that.
Showing up to all type of BT
celebrity basketball games. She loved that. Showing up to all type of BT celebrity basketball games.
She love that.
Yeah, man.
Today, facing 25 to life.
Everything was all good with him until she realized he called a recall.
She seen that murder charge on him.
I've never seen a chick quickly reginate something named Armand.
I don't even know who this is.
She even downgraded.
Like, she even just got some random.
All right.
Well, Toya, who is Regine's mother, first responded,
and she said, I can't stand men that do bitch-ish.
Keep my daughter name out your mouth.
Clout chasing is at an all-time high.
Let her live her 23-year-old wife.
Worry about you and yours.
Thanks.
I hate when I let people take me out my character,
but one thing about it, I don't play about my kids. Academics stop playing with my child. I would love to have a word with academics.
I got a call.
I put a call out to them.
They know. words were academic. I got a I got a car. I put a car like so way no
hopefully
we can communicate our way to a positive resolution. But raising
a under the umbrella to cover
that's our business.
I would love to have a word.
See if we can communicate ourselves to positive
resolution.
Concerns. word see if we can communicate ourselves to a positive resolution concerns this is you know it's avoidable not worth the trouble all right well academics responded to ti and here's what
he had to say i would definitely have a conversation with ti um i think my points would be the same
i know this is somebody who you love but this is also a public figure we can't just like isolate
people to be like no one could ever talk about them.
And if there was that much offense took because I misspoke.
And even though I corrected myself using the B word while referring to a subject that she was closely associated to, I understand that one.
That's a conversation I'm definitely willing to have.
But I'm going to also be honest as a man to man I would
tell TI I'm like hey TI you do know I'm not talking about someone who's just a private
individual I'm talking about someone who has a very public relationship who the shade room
posts about every two days and nobody ever bats an eye and say don't post about their private affairs
all right so feels like they are gonna have a conversation yeah they definitely should i mean
you know totally understand why regina uh regina's mom toy and uncle t i would feel that way is the
issue that he was reporting on her because he called her to be word seems like it's two different
reports like one was it that i guess he was reporting on them but he is right she's all
over the blog so he reported on her but But calling a woman a bitch is absolutely positively foul.
But I will say this.
We're talking about an industry that every song people call women bitches.
Yeah, the B word like the N word is always a conundrum, isn't it?
Because when you are using it towards other women, it doesn't mean anything.
But when you hear it used in reference to a woman you love, you're like, wait a minute.
We should be all the more proof that we probably shouldn't be using the word at all i will say with the blogs posting it though uh usually they're just reposting things
that she wrote or saying look at this and he also did say it was a downgrade like who is this guy
and you know i'm sure that was i'm sure that young man's offended what's the brother's name that you
are my warren i've actually had him on he He's been on Lip Service before. Him and his brother Trey.
They go viral for a lot of things that they do on YouTube.
And so, yeah.
All right.
Well, that is your rumor report.
All right.
