After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast, Post Run High, is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Hey y'all, Nimany here. I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records. Executive produced by Questlove, The Story Pirates, and John Glickman, Historical Records brings history to life through hip-hop. Flash, slam, another one gone. Bash, bam, another one gone. The crack of the bat and another one gone. The tip of the cap, there's another one gone. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing. Check it. And it began with me. Did you know, did you know? I wouldn't give up my seat. Nine months before Rosa, it was Claudette Colvin. Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise. Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Starting point is 00:02:17 I get more nervous in this room than anywhere else. It's on your radio right now. Do you know how to pop that coochie for a good one? There you go. It's the world's most dangerous morning show. Got the cameras, I'm out the... What kind of show is this? We'll be right back. It's the Breakfast Club, bitches! Good morning, Angela Yee. Good morning, TJ and V. Charlamagne Tha Guy. Peace to the planet.
Starting point is 00:03:08 It's Monday. Yes, it's Monday. Back to the work week. What's happening? Hope everybody has a great day. WPRFMH. Incredible weekend. I wish it was one of those three-day joints where we had today off to.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Yeah. But I had an incredible weekend. I had some amazing plant-based medicine, some indica, okay? It was indica, and it had me anxiety-free all weekend. I watched Justice League, the Snyder Cut twice this weekend just to make sure it was as whack
Starting point is 00:03:37 as I thought it was the first time I watched it. Then I watched Falcon Winter Soldier, and then I saw two real-life superheroes this weekend. Rayquan the Chef and Ghostface Killer in the verses on Saturday. Drop on the Clues bombs for Rayquan the Chef and Ghostface Killer, man. Oh, it was incredible. I didn't get to see it live. I had to go check the replay.
Starting point is 00:03:58 But what an amazing, I could just say, show. It was just dope. Dope how they put everything together, the way they chose the songs. It made me think about all the songs that I forgot about. They ain't even dig deep. No. Honestly, no. They have a huge catalog. They got a catalog. Ghost to Ray didn't even dig deep at all.
Starting point is 00:04:16 That's why I said, don't ask me whenever I say Ghostface Kill is my favorite rapper of all time, people look at me funny like, Ghostface? Like, yeah. Listen to the music. Listen to the music. All right, listen to the words. Him and Ray. Nobody writes like those two people.
Starting point is 00:04:30 And I'm not just talking about rappers and hip hop. I'm talking about period across all genres. Film, okay, whatever it is. The Bible. Right. All right? Ghostface and Ray just different. They are.
Starting point is 00:04:40 But they pin, man. And you got to see some of the rest of the Woo on there, too. Some guest appearances. Yeah, Inspector Deck, Capadonna, RZA. Who else showed up? Master Killer. Master Killer. Salute to Master Killer.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Yep. It was amazing, man. Quite a great weekend. Yeah, this was the first time in a year, over a year, that my parents came to the house without a mask on and stayed the whole day. They got their second shot weeks ago. Okay. And they were able to come by with their mask off. They were so happy to get that. You know, my kids were so happy to see their grandparents.
Starting point is 00:05:13 They stayed the whole day. We had dinner. We cooked salmon and string beans and the kids didn't want that. But we had a great time. We were outside. It was just it was just a beautiful weekend, man. It was the nicest has been in a long time in new york city for the weekend it was like 60 degrees the whole weekend 65 degrees it was just everything was great there was nothing that could ruin that
Starting point is 00:05:33 weekend this weekend man it was just it was lovely it was a great weekend to just be alive at the end of the day that's all you can hope for right even like right like right now we having this conversation and whoever's listening to us just be thank god that you're alive right now we having this conversation and whoever's listening to us, just be, thank God that you're alive right now. That's it. Healthy and happy. Yeah. Right. And I'm happy to be home cause I've been traveling and doing some work all over.
Starting point is 00:05:54 So now I'm home. I'm excited about that. Next weekend I got to work one last weekend and then I'm taking the next couple of weekends off. Okay. For real. All right. But you know how you just be so happy to get home and sleep in your own bed. That's right. That's how I was feeling. Let's start the weekend off. Okay. For real. But you know how you just be so happy to get home and sleep in your own bed? That's right.
Starting point is 00:06:06 That's how I was feeling. Let's start the weekend off, the week off righteously. Who we got here this day? Alright, now this morning I just want to make sure. We got it? Yeah, it's the author of an amazing book that a lot of sisters that I know
Starting point is 00:06:21 live by. It's called Sacred Woman. Queen Afua. Afua will be joining us this morning. Yes, she's. And her son. Supernova. Supernova. Slom.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Supernova Slom is his name. Yes. So we're going to be kicking with them early this morning. And we got front page news. Yes. Another vaccine that is going to be available. They said it's 79% effective against symptomatic COVID-19. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:44 We'll get to that next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news. Now, in the NBA, LeBron James looked like he's out for a little bit after suffering a high ankle sprain.
Starting point is 00:07:01 And LaMelo Ball, he's expected to miss the rest of the season with a fractured right wrist. And he was definitely a front runner for rookie of the year this year. He was busting ass. He still might win it. Alright, what else we got here? And you know, since you're talking about basketball, the NCAA women's basketball players have gotten a new weight room. I know you guys
Starting point is 00:07:20 saw the pictures of the subpar facility that they had in contrast to what the men's basketball team has. So now they have a new weight room. It was ridiculous. You mean a new weight room for what they're doing the tournament at? Where they get to work out at. Yeah, their weight room.
Starting point is 00:07:36 All they had was like a small rack of dumbbells. But then when you see the men's room, they had benches, racks, barbell weights, all this stuff. But the women's weight room was just super small. Women's basketball, they had benches, racks, barbell weights, all this stuff. But the women's weight room was just super small. Women's basketball, NCAA. Yeah, but they all don't work out at one facility. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:07:50 What is this? This has to be... They all don't work out at one facility. It's a bunch of different teams. That's what I'm saying. It was the Stanford University Sports Performance Coast that shared these images. Stanford. So Stanford, the School of Stanford.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Oh, okay, okay. Got you, got you. And then they said, thank you NCAA for listening to us. We appreciate you all. So they thank them, yes, for providing these new facilities for them. That should have never happened. That was ridiculous. Talk about feeling crazy when
Starting point is 00:08:17 you see what the men have compared to what you have. Yeah, because Stanford is a school that makes a lot of money. Alright, now let's talk about a new vaccine that looks like it's going to be available sometime soon. AstraZeneca. I don't know if you guys have seen this whole story, but it's a third vaccine. And what they are saying is that it's 79% efficient against symptomatic diseases and 100% efficient against severe disease and hospitalization. So this is something they've been using in Europe
Starting point is 00:08:46 but at first they were saying that there was some blood clots and there were some issues but now an independent committee has said there's no increased risk of thrombosis or events characterized by thrombosis among the participants who got at least one dose of that vaccine. So this is the new data so it looks like it'll be available here too.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Alright, well Dramos got his second shot over the weekend. He said he Yet another one. Dramos got his second shot over the weekend. He said he's a little sore, but he got his second shot. I think right now about, what did they say? 25% of people have gotten their first shot and something like 13% of people have gotten both in the United States. So why is Dramos still requesting anal swabs for COVID testing if he already got his shot? Shut up, man. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:24 That's pretty weird. He must like it. And were you guys looking at everything that was happening in Miami Beach over the weekend? The curfew, and they shut it down a little bit, yeah? Yeah, so Miami Beach officers, I mean, listen, I was looking at all kinds of footage and pictures,
Starting point is 00:09:40 but now they have a state of emergency. They have set an 8 p.m. curfew in Miami Beach, according to the mayor, Dan Gilbert. He's saying the crowds have descended on the city and it's more than they can handle. He said too many are coming without the intention of following the rules and the result has been a level of chaos and disorder
Starting point is 00:09:56 that is just something more than we can endure. Yeah, I mean, spring breakers look like insurrectionists on January 6th at the Capitol. The only difference is I'm sure some of those spring breakers actually went to jail. Did you see the kid that was in handcuffs in the back of the police car and then somebody opened the door for him and he ran out in handcuffs? Yeah, they caught his ass right on the beach. And they caught him and they arrested the kid that opened the door.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Yeah, that was just stupid, though. You can't run in no damn handcuffs. On the beach, you know how hard it is to run on sand for too long? But it wasn't even that. As soon as he opened the door, everybody started screaming, oh! So the cops seen exactly
Starting point is 00:10:27 what happened. And you guys, you got to start filming yourself. I mean, you get yourself in trouble. You open the door for your boy, but you're all filming it. Like, come on. And on Friday,
Starting point is 00:10:35 the Clevelanders shut down for safety concerns temporarily. So the Clevelanders was looking absolutely out of control. So that's some place that, first of all, when I was younger, that used to be my favorite place to go on South Beach, just to go and have drinks. But now that is shut down temporarily. They said they will reevaluate the situation over the coming days and decide whether to reopen or remain temporarily closed.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Yeah, you can't even be mad at Florida because they've been sending the wrong message for months. I mean, they never really closed. You know what I'm saying? When everybody was on phase one in Florida, it looked like they was on phase 12. So you can't really be mad at them for going down there and thinking they can just keep living life like it's golden. And let's be honest, the world is messed up. These
Starting point is 00:11:13 businesses are trying to make money. People are messed up. The country will save the airlines. They'll save all the big companies. But some of these mom and pop hotels and mom and pop restaurants and mom and pop bars, mom and pop bars, mom and pop everything, they're suffering. By the way, why don't people take advantage of
Starting point is 00:11:29 those large crowds and make it to where they can, I don't know, pull up to get the vaccine? You know what I mean? If you're in town already. Just come on by and get the vaccine. Just come by and get the vaccine while you're in town. Be safe. Seriously. Do they have enough?
Starting point is 00:11:46 Yeah, I don't think it's. These are young kids. 50s, 60s. These are teens. I understand. But why not make an exception? If you know that it's going to be a wild, wild weekend and you know all those people are going to be there, why not just say, you know what?
Starting point is 00:11:57 Let's set up some facilities where people can just come pull up and get the vaccine since they're going to be in town anyway. Right. Let's let them get vaccinated. Well, I think they're trying to make sure they reserve them for older people first and essential workers and then teachers. Yes, but they're saying that they have enough for all Americans, right?
Starting point is 00:12:11 That's what Joe Biden said. You believe that? I don't know, but I'm just saying if you have a large crowd of people in one place, tell them it's Jell-O shots or something. Tell them pull up and give them the goddamn COVID shot. They're already in town. There's a tequila shot in your arm.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Trust me, guys. You get a free drink with a vaccine. That's right. Exactly. Now y'all thinking? Yeah. Come on. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:12:31 All right. That's front page news. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Is your country falling apart?

It was absolutely amazing. I am so grateful for that I will go so powerful and I just want the world to think about utilizing their power realizing their power understanding it I'm like over here shaking with anxiety because I've

And she's telling me she has a headache. Like, how does she even know what that means? You know, fight for your baby and make sure that you continue to fight because the doctors aren't always. They're not gods. They can't.
Starting point is 00:17:18 You know, you have to pay attention to those things as a parent. On a happier note, I want everybody to continue to lead with love. I tell everybody to send to my call, lead with love and greatness shall follow. Absolutely. With that being said, I want to plug somebody in

Hey y'all, Nimany here. I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records. Historical Records brings history to life through hip hop. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history. Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Check it. Did you know, did you know, I wouldn't give up my seat. Nine months before Rosa, it was Claudette Goldman. Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records. Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise. You better have the same energy.
Starting point is 00:22:54 We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? Hello? Hey, what's up, bro? What's your name? Oh, f***. You can't curse. Whoa. I'm sorry, my fault, my fault.
Starting point is 00:23:04 My name is Reefer Ruben, and I'm calling from Southern California. I'm calling from Los Angeles. Hey, what's up, brother? I am a cannabis influencer, and I'm pretty much stuck right now because I'm trying to make this my actual business. I'm trying to make some shirts, make some merch, get some trademarks. And I'm just curious, how do I get that done in broke? Well, you want to create an LLC?
Starting point is 00:23:29 I was just curious. You want to create an LLC? Yeah, a trademark. Because, you know, I'm a cannabis influencer out here in Southern California. And I'm just trying to reach more, you know what I mean? Because I understand that the weed market is going to be growing now that weed is becoming federally legal. And me, I have a background of opiate addiction in my makeup, you know what I mean? So I'm trying to reach addicts, former addicts who are trying to reach a difference. They aren't trying to get high on hard drugs anymore. They're trying to be cool and just live in weed land, pretty much.
Starting point is 00:24:10 You know what I'm saying? Like, we don't have to use heroin anymore. We don't have to use cocaine. We don't have to use crack, crystal meth. There is a light side, and I use weed in my store. Plant-based medicine. Yes, pretty much. And, you know, I like to make it fun, too. Like, I medicine. Yes, pretty much.
Starting point is 00:24:25 And, you know, I like to make it fun, too. Like, I introduce challenges on my YouTube by, you know, just little story times or views on different products. I'm actually going to go pick up waxes
Starting point is 00:24:36 and buzz today. Oh, who's wax? Dr. Green. Yeah, who's wax is, like, number one. Number one somewhere. I forgot. Wax no better than me, but it's definitely number one somewhere. Who's wax is, like, number one somewhere. I forgot. Wax no better than me, but it's definitely number one somewhere.
Starting point is 00:24:48 Whose wax is booming right now? But listen, you say you ain't got no money, man. You either need to start a GoFundMe page or start selling weed. You stupid. Hello, get it off your chest. Yeah, this is Shannon from Indianapolis. What's up, bro? Get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:25:01 I had to talk about Charlamagne, man. Why'd you disrespect the Snyder Cut? That was so much better than the original that don't mean it was good it was definitely so much better and definitely good man the last background story background story that was cool but that was cool the last hour was good but let me tell you something the martianian Manhunter scenes were so whack. That was so pointless. You mean to tell me that you...
Starting point is 00:25:29 Man, listen. You say it's cool, but where was he during the fight? Where was he during the fight? You're just going to show up and tell Lois Lane what she needs to do and then show up at the end and tell Batman, I want to join the Justice League. You missed the fight. Did Superman come too?
Starting point is 00:25:46 Was Superman there? But I mean, it was cool to see Superman in the black suit, dark side in there. Come on. It turned up a whole new thing. Superman wore a black suit? I like the last hour was decent. All right, guys. Other than that, it was just too long and it was just too messy.
Starting point is 00:26:01 I'm just not a fan of DC. Have a good one, sir. Hello, who's this? Here. What's up, Ebi? What's up, Trav? Hey, E. Hey, Trav.
Starting point is 00:26:11 How you doing, boo? I'm good, boo. How are you? I'm doing good. I'm doing good. What's up, sir? Peace, sis. How you?
Starting point is 00:26:16 I'm doing good. I'm doing good. Hey, man, I want to talk about, you know, I'm always down for it. Last week, one of y'all callers called in, right? Nate G. And he was talking about a y'all callers called in, right? Nate G. And he was talking about the Port-A-Potty guy, right? He was kind of going in on him. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:26:31 I was like, man, stop f***ing, man. Don't be trying to jump in on my piece. I don't like Port-A-Potty guys. I'm never going to like that n***a. Damn, you don't even know where you're talking about. Hey, Trav, I'm going to be honest with you. I'm shocked that you would ever tell a man to stop eating. I mean, I think that you would encourage that diet.
Starting point is 00:26:49 It's kind of shocked. Like, if this guy's not beefing with somebody, let me kind of jump in on my piece, yo. Keep that beef all for you. We get it. That's all I'm saying. And me and NBA Youngboy, we got issues. What? Yeah, we got issues. What? Yes, we got issues.
Starting point is 00:27:08 He left my man J. Cole sitting in the studio. You know, he's one of the greatest rappers. I can see him with Kendrick Lamar. Don't disrespect Kung Fu, Kenny. You know what I'm saying? Why y'all be doing this? I cannot wait until Kendrick Lamar comes out and y'all start the West Coast. Because that's what's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:27:27 He's going to do that anyway. That's Trav. Kendrick, y'all got to stop disrespecting Kendrick Lamar, man. That man is a coach's shifter. What has that man done but given you four classic albums? It's just Trav. Nobody else but Trav. No, I see a lot of people do that just because Kendrick has decided to take a little longer break than usual.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Y'all are disrespectful, man. I can't wait, man. I can't disrespectful man I can't wait man I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait calm down calm down all right get it off your chest 800-585-1051 if you need to vent you can hit us up we got rumors on the way yes and let's talk about some breakups that happened over the weekend that we found out about and I will give you some inside stories on what's happening because there's a lot of rumors floating around. All right, we'll get into that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:28:08 The Breakfast Club. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired? Depressed? A little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag.
Starting point is 00:28:21 I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
Starting point is 00:28:34 I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I trade my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:28:52 What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app,

The tip of the cap, there's another one gone. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history, like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing. Check it. And it began with me. Did you know, did you know? I wouldn't give up my seat. Nine months before Rosa, it was Claudette Colvin. Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records. Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. She's spilling the tea. This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. Man, this couple has been together since 2003. That's when they got married. They have two sons and a daughter together. And now Kenya Duke
Starting point is 00:32:02 has filed for divorce. That's Gary Owen's wife. Dang. She filed those divorce that's Gary Owen's wife and she filed those divorce documents on Friday so nobody is clear as to what led to that split as of yet yeah I saw that on social media this weekend that sucks man salute to Gary and Kenya
Starting point is 00:32:16 divorce sucks period but lord have mercy they've been married since 2003 they had the show together she's such an intricate part of his life he talks about her all the time they had the reality show together like man
Starting point is 00:32:32 alright another breakup Quavo and Sweetie man we don't know listen all I know is Sweetie went on social media cause a lot of people had things to say about her interview that she did with Justin the boy Justin Combs so she said I'm single I've endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character please don't band-aid
Starting point is 00:32:54 scars and the love isn't real when the intimacy is given to other women I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom excited for this new chapter of elevation now Quavo responded I know you want to make this into a show so i'll play my part just this one time i don't normally put my business out there that's true especially my personal life i feel the need to address this so there are no false narratives i had love for you and disappointed you did all that you are not the woman i thought you were i wish you nothing but the best and she responded take care lord now some people were trying to say that he repoed the car that he gave her right the bentley that he gifted to her but according to quavo's team they told tmz that is not true sources directly connected to quavo quavo said he did not repo
Starting point is 00:33:43 the bentley anything suggesting otherwise is flat out false. We don't know where that rumor even started from, but there's no evidence of that happening. Yeah. And don't let social media gas you up, you know, to hit below the belt. You know what I'm saying? Like, you're not the woman I thought you were. Those are fighting words. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:34:00 But you don't have to prove anything to social media. Y'all know each other. Y'all been together in a relationship for a long time. Like, you know, have that conversation amongst each other. Don't let to prove anything to social media y'all know each other y'all been together in a relationship For a long time like you know have that conversation amongst each other Don't let that play out on social media if a man gave you a Bentley and y'all broke up. Would you give it back? I? Don't know it depends did he cheat on me? I mean I'm keeping it She yeah, we broke up because it just wasn't working out and we were still on friendly terms. Even if you cheated, would you want to be in that car knowing that that car is connected to him still?
Starting point is 00:34:29 Would you? You could always sell it and trade it in for something else. Yes, I have no problem being sad. But it's yours. It's a gift. When you have a gift, you know, you get to keep a gift. You don't have to give anything back if it's a present. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Let me ask the bird in the room. I have no problem being sad in the middle of it. I think this is a great parting gift for everything that I went through. You heard me tell you that I'm emotionally damaged because of you. Yes, thank you for this, Bentley. I'll tell you what. We'll be right in there twerking on TikTok. That's right.
Starting point is 00:34:54 You can't tell a woman you're not the woman I thought you were, especially if you still love her and you want to get back with her in the future. I'm not saying he does. We don't know. But, you know, that's kind of final words when you say things like that. Well, Quavo's sister and Saweetie's aunt ended up getting into it on social media.
Starting point is 00:35:12 How'd that get into it? I don't know. I have been quiet long enough. I see how this turned into a bash fest toward my brother, and that ain't about to happen at all. None of y'all know how Saweetie is in real life, but I do, and it ain't good at all. That was Quavo's sister. Then Sa then sweetie's aunt jumped in and said now now do we need witty to start airing this mf out
Starting point is 00:35:30 i'm not gonna be half as nice as old shower what she not gonna do is speak ill of my niece i got very i get very disrespectful about mine since we stick in our nose and other people business first they love you then they hate you talk about she's been quiet long enough girl it ain't even been 24 hours that's crazy yeah it turned into a whole bunch of drama between them yeah i saw a swedish leave a comment say uh quavo couldn't satisfy me anyway i needed more than a dabbing ranch i saw that too she didn't fight there she didn't anyway that was fake yes oh it sounds like it was fake coming from you that's what i get minor people that's what i get from minor people's business cite your sources lenore now joey badass says that disney would not let him in because well they wouldn't let his autistic cousin in without a mask and he took to social
Starting point is 00:36:15 media to show three disney world employees on camera who were dealing with the situation here's what happened you guys just turned away an artistic child from disney world that's what you guys just did you guys have anything to say about that nothing and your brother is autistic that's what you said right so imagine your little brother being turned away from disney world how would that make you feel now hold on you you said one thing but joy badass didn't say that in the clip if you say he didn't have a mask on correct yeah his uh his autistic yeah so they didn't let his autistic cousin mask on right right that's why they didn't let him in but he's saying because he's autistic he couldn't wear a mask because he found it suffocating and they couldn't even explain it to him why he had to have on a mask
Starting point is 00:36:59 and so he's saying that he couldn't even enjoy this experience interesting so who's in the wrong there because i could i can understand both sides, right? No. Yeah, because the rules are face coverings are required for all guests ages two and up and cast members, including people who have gotten the vaccine. There has to be exceptions. Why? Because he's autistic.
Starting point is 00:37:17 What if he got COVID? True. You know, you could be under two and have COVID also. Yeah, you could be under two and have COVID as well. Okay, it's my two-year-old with a mask. No, two years. Yeah, but I don under two and have COVID as well. Okay, if my two-year-old wears a mask. No, two years, you're not- Yeah, but I don't have to. That's what she just said.
Starting point is 00:37:28 My two-year-old wears a mask. I'm saying, but what if this kid has COVID? Yeah, but if he's two years old and younger, you don't have to wear a mask. There's certain exceptions they should be able to make. Like, they make an exception for two-year-old and younger. An autistic kid, if he wears a mask, he feels like he's suffocating. They can't explain it to him. So the kid can't have fun because he's autistic? But if he has covid but if the two-year-old has
Starting point is 00:37:48 covid it's different it's the same well the thing the thing is that i guess they have maybe it's just not up to them right if that's what i'm saying that's the rules it's not really up to them you know if they to make an exception you know yeah it sounds if you have to abide by because it's not like they own the park. Absolutely. It sounds good in theory, but like you just said, they don't own the park. They're just doing their job. So I don't know if they should be videotaping chastise. But if I was Joey Badass, I probably would
Starting point is 00:38:13 in advance try to reach out and let them know so that you could see ahead of time to work something out. Because it's harder when you get there and try to work it out. I just don't think they should have been videotaped and chastised because they're following policy at a park. But I'm sure it hurt his feelings
Starting point is 00:38:29 that he was excited to bring his cousin and then his cousin couldn't go. I'm sure he was disappointed and didn't understand what was going on. You know what I mean? So all around, it was just a bad situation. I can see both sides. I can see why Joey's mad and I can see why the Disney people are doing what they are hired to do.
Starting point is 00:38:46 And that's your rumor report. Like you said, they should have reached out beforehand. If not, no. I'm sure they would have made some arrangements. Alright, now front page news. What's next? What are we talking about? Yeah, somebody's coming out with this new social media platform.
Starting point is 00:39:01 And I'm sure you can guess who it is. I can't. But we'll talk about it. That person has been banned from everywhere else. I know. All right. The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same. Mountain Dew is partnering with HBCUs in an effort to uplift the next generation of bad-ass black innovators and entrepreneurs with the real change opportunity fund pitch competition, empowering students to go out and do is it mountain dew.com slash real change to enter morning everybody it's dj envy angela yee charlamagne the guy we are the breakfast club
Starting point is 00:39:38 let's get some front page news now basketball quickly lamello ballelo Ball and LeBron James both got injured over the weekend. It looks like LaMelo is going to miss the rest of the year. And LeBron, we don't know how long he's going to be out. LaMelo is looking for a second opinion. He said he don't feel like he should be out for the year. He got a fractured wrist and LeBron has
Starting point is 00:40:00 a sprained ankle. Now what else you got Yeezy? The U.S. is attempting to house over 15,000 unaccompanied immigrant children. They're trying to find bed space for these children who have come over the border in record numbers right now. And they said nearly 10,500 others are being sheltered in emergency shelters by the Department of Health and Human Services. Right now, according to the Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. He said that unaccompanied minors will not be turned away, but they are closing the border. Listen
Starting point is 00:40:30 to what he had to say. We are dealing with the needs of the children now, and we are elevating our messaging so that the individuals do know that they cannot come to the border. The border is closed. Dana, we are expelling families. We are expelling single adults. Do not come. Give us the time to build an orderly system that will enable you to make your claim under United States law without taking the journey and imperiling your lives. So right now the border is currently closed to migrants, but they are making an exception for unaccompanied minors. So that's what the issue is. They're trying to also reunite these children with their families.
Starting point is 00:41:17 Here's what else Mayorkas had to say. Dana, we established three new facilities just last week. We are also implementing new efficiencies in the HHS process so that we can unite these children with their relatives here in the United States. We are working on the system from beginning to end. We are working around the clock, 24-7. Okay, so on-accompany minors are coming here because they have family here already. Right. Hopefully they do. They're trying to get reunited with their families in the United States. Those are the only people that they're allowing over the border right now.
Starting point is 00:41:50 But it's just a difficult situation. These kids are staying in these jail-like facilities. They said it's on average more than five days. And they're alternating schedules to make space for one another. Some kids haven't seen sunlight in days. Others, they have to take turns taking a shower. It's been difficult. So if they don't have family here, what do they do with those kids? Do they send them back? What do they do? Yeah, I mean, I guess they just try to reach whatever
Starting point is 00:42:15 family members that they can to try to get them back together. But, you know, there's so many kids right now and it's just a long process. They're trying to find housing. They're trying to make sure these kids are taken care of. They're fed're fed you know they're able to take a shower but they did not expect these numbers to come through it's like the highest number in 20 years yeah i just wonder what happens to them if they don't have family in the u.s like what do they do with those kids right i'm sure they have to you know try to reach whatever family from where they're from and figure it out but that has to be so difficult i'm telling you these kids are going to have some lifelong effects from
Starting point is 00:42:48 having to deal with this uh you think i'm sure i mean even you hear some of the parents and family members talking about reuniting with their children and how the kids would just all of a sudden like have these panic attacks and start crying out of nowhere be okay for one minute it's just really sad different level of trauma all right and donald trump is returning to social media in a few months he's going to be doing his own platform according to a trump spokesperson jason miller who is a longtime advisor and spokesperson for donald trump's 2020 campaign he said that he will probably be back on social media in about two or three months with his own thing that's going to attract tens of millions of new users and completely redefine the game.
Starting point is 00:43:27 That's smart. He's got the capital and resources to do it. I know before he ran for president, there was talk he was going to launch a TV network. He probably realizes now social media is a better platform to get messaging out. But boy, I'll tell you one thing. I bet you that would be one site I'll never go to.
Starting point is 00:43:41 It's going to be wild over there. All right? The word nigga is going to be trending every day. With the E-R. Talk about it. Lord have mercy. Every slur in the world will be over there trending
Starting point is 00:43:55 every day. If they do trending topics, Jesus Christ, Asians going to get it. We going to get it. Jewish people going to get it. LGBT going to get it. Everybody going to get it overgbt gonna get everybody gonna get it over there stay away from that site right there lord have mercy all right well that is your front page news all right thank you miss ye now when we come back charlotte yes a special guest joining us yes queen of four you know queen of four man she's a holistic uh health practitioner um she's a
Starting point is 00:44:23 best-selling author she has a book out called sacred woman that's celebrating this 20-year anniversary she's just a a thought leader and a mother of womb wellness i know sisters that swear by queen afua well she'll be joining us in her son my wife is slum so we'll do that when we come back so don't move it's the breakfast club good morning the breakfast club movies to Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. You're checking out the world's most dangerous morning show. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are
Starting point is 00:44:53 The Breakfast Club. We have some special guests joining us this morning. Yes, indeed. We have Queen of Four. Did I say your name right? Yes. Absolutely. A master holistic healer and herbalist. And you have your son. You brought your son with you. Yes. Super Nova Sloth. Welcome, brother.
Starting point is 00:45:07 Morning, brother. Good morning. Good morning. Thank you for having me. Don't forget polarity practitioner. Okay. Could you explain to the people what that is, Queen of Four? That's all who works with the energy field and primarily with the elements.
Starting point is 00:45:19 We're made up of five elements, ether, fire, water, and earth. And so I'm able to focus in on those elements to heal the body. And the body is made up of nature. Those same elements of nature is in our body. So when we're lacking that balance, then we have disease. How did you get to this point to be a
Starting point is 00:45:38 healer? What got you here? Tell us your story. Sure. I started at age 16. I was extremely sick. I was eating the all-American fast food lifestyle diet. And I was asthmatic, chronic. I had eczema from head to toe. I had PMS.
Starting point is 00:45:55 Every month I would be bedridden as a woman. And I had headaches. Those were things that were going on. And I didn't know how to get out of it. And I went on a healing retreat. It was a three-day healing retreat at that young age. And I got off the bus without my medication. And the grass, the trees was like an enemy to my body.
Starting point is 00:46:14 But I didn't know that I was just so out of tune. And so I went into the space and the asthma kicked in. The allergies kicked in. The eczema kicked in. And I was like a junkie. I was toxic really and i just heard that inner voice talk to me for the first time we all have it and it said my first formula eat grapefruit lemons oranges and i took some rose hips tea and what in that whole day that's all i
Starting point is 00:46:37 did and then i sat up in front of a fireplace because if i laid down my lungs would have collapsed so i sat up in this fireplace was part of the medicine. It was the heat from the fire. I fasted for the whole day. The mucus that was breaking up in my body was the asthma. The next day, I had a detox. I learned these terms later on, and I had a detox. The mucus came out of my nose, my mouth, my eyes.
Starting point is 00:46:58 And then an hour later, the itching stopped. The asthma stopped. My mind went to total balance balance and i picked up a book i came out of that bathroom and i picked up a book dick gregory cooking with mother nature i related to his nine children the husband and wife a family who was healing detoxing fasting and i jumped on it because that was the end of my asthma that i went up to the mountains and it was the end of my asthma and i went up to the mountains and it was the end of my asthma and I never got it back so 50 years later no asthma no allergies no aches no pains
Starting point is 00:47:31 all that had left me and then I just helped everyone I could meet because I said you don't have to be sick I was convicted so initially nobody taught you this like the spirit just told you this is what you need to do right now well Well, I was going to what's called Aquarius up in Harlem, 125th Street and 5th. Dr. Johnny Moore and other real prominent, powerful healers, metaphysicians was up there. John Harris was there. And I learned through them how to live holistically and naturally. It was in my community. And it's in our culture.
Starting point is 00:48:06 It was always somebody who knew the herbs, the bushes, the teas. When they wouldn't even let us in the hospitals, we had to deliver our babies at home. And we had to do things that were natural. And so that's what I had to do, take up that mantle myself and heal myself. Wow. Winifred, this is so important. And I think for women in particular, we've had a lot of conversations on this show about women who doctors tell them they need a hysterectomy. Women, especially black women who have fibroids, women who are having heavy bleeding on their periods.
Starting point is 00:48:35 And your diet is so important. Can you talk about that? Well, absolutely. And I was able to figure out exactly what was going on. I read a woman's menstrual flow. And women think they're having a normal menses. Well, normal is not healthy. And actually, women are hemorrhaging.
Starting point is 00:48:51 And if a woman is bleeding five, six, seven, eight days or maybe longer, that she's losing her emotional and mental health. It is draining down through her blood. And so that same correlation of the number of days of the menstrual is usually a fibroid tumor by the time they reach 30. And of course, they may have it removed and then it comes back two years later because they've never changed their lifestyle. So my goal when I take women through the Sacrament Rites of Passage, I take them through 12 weeks of cleansing, detoxing, learning about their self-culture, self-love, self-care, setting up wellness homes within their home, helping their family to heal.
Starting point is 00:49:26 And then when they look at their menstrual, every time we have graduation, I said, how many of you have a menstrual flow now of one, two, or three days? And 90% of the women are saying that. How many women have pain that used to be chronic, but they don't have that pain anymore? All women say, I have no more pain. So the pain, we think that it's normal, but it's not normal. It's a sick wound, but it's not just a sick wound. It's a sick heart. All the broken relationships, the broken promise, the hit and run lovers, all of that has impacted
Starting point is 00:49:56 and affected us. So we eat the foods of the lowest frequency and we keep an excess pool of wound pain, wound discomfort. So I'm here to show women how to, and I do it in the first hundred pages of the book, what to do, what foods, juices, herbs, plants, prayers, meditations, exercise. I teach womb yoga, dance, how to empower yourself as a woman. It is extremely important for the woman to heal because the woman is the bedrock of the family. And I got real clear about that. I was reading one of the most ancient texts on spirituality from our our culture from kemet and it said the affirmation when i give that affirmation to the women they really get it and the affirmation i'll say it briefly it opens
Starting point is 00:50:34 up this um anniversary book it says we are the women who lighten the darkness we have come to lighten the darkness it is lightened we have overcome the destroyers we're here for those who weep who hide their faces who sunk down they looked upon us then we are the women we are the healers but if you don't have the tools to heal yourself to heal your life then you're going to be a woman a woman a victim you're going to be beaten you're going to be dragged you're going to be in pain you're going to be suffering so i open up my heart and my arms to women who are suffering. And I understood why I had to suffer. Because when women get well, they empower their families automatically.
Starting point is 00:51:16 During this coronavirus, sacred women, they know what to do. They're very confident. From the time March hit and it came, all the women rose up and said, okay, these are the herbs. These are the juices. This is a bath. They took their husbands to the cleansing. They took their children to the cleansing. They took the elders to the cleansing. My mother, 96 years old, and she's still in her
Starting point is 00:51:30 body. Vibrant mind and vibrant spirit and body. So we do have the ability to heal ourselves based on nature. So as Marcus Garvey says, I'm with him. Up you mighty people, you can accomplish what you will. But you've got to clean up this house. This house is the divine temple. The Most most high gave to us but if we're not in tune to it
Starting point is 00:51:49 when we are we're going to be subjected to all the issues that we have as a people we have the highest incident of high blood pressure men highest incident of prostate cancer i'm barely make it out of 50 years old i buried about five men who were close to me, but they would not come into holistic health. That's where my son comes in at. So then I asked my son, it's been over two years since I said it's been over. It's been a year and a half. I said, listen, I cannot teach men to heal themselves. I need you to teach these men because what happens, the women get healed up.
Starting point is 00:52:19 And they got sick men, sick husbands, high blood pressure, prostate cancer. They start to feel less than who they are when she can give them herbs and plants and foods and clay and repair his prostate, lower his blood pressure, get him fortified. She is the healer of the home. We are the women. We are the healers. And it's primarily the melanin woman. Everything is flip-flop now. Everything is now in our favor. You know?
Starting point is 00:52:45 So now that it's in our favor, this is our destiny to be the mothers of civilization once again. So this is a revolutionary healing for me. And because I was the sickest of the sick, I had to be chosen to overcome my issues
Starting point is 00:52:59 so that I could help the women overcome their issues. All right, we got more with Queen of Four and her son, Supernova Slam. When we come back, so don't move, it's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
Starting point is 00:53:13 We are The Breakfast Club. Now, if you're just joining us, we're kicking it with Queen of Four and her son, Supernova Slam. Now, Charlamagne, if they don't know who they are, how should they know? Queen of Four, man, is a best-selling author. She has a book out called Sacred Woman. It's been out for 20 years. She's celebrating her 20-year anniversary.
Starting point is 00:53:28 She's a holistic health expert, a thought leader, and a mother of womb wellness. Nayee? Can we discuss fertility for a minute? Because that's been a topic that has come up a lot with my friends lately. I have friends that have recently frozen their egg. And I want you to discuss fertility how that relates to detoxing diets and things that women can do and family planning in general well one of my specialties is womb wellness sacred womb awakening so i teach women how to use the elements to
Starting point is 00:53:58 preserve and repair the uterus because if you're infertile. Most of the time you're bleeding a little heavy. Or you are suffering from pain. So your uterus is constricted. The average woman carries 5 to 10 or more pounds of impacted waste in her colon. The colon over time then becomes heavy and prolapsed. So it should be above the navel. It drops under the navel. And when the colon drops.
Starting point is 00:54:23 Because you have three meals a day but you only have one bowel movement for the day so that means at the end of the week you should have 21 meals basically then 21 elimination i'll give you a few things to do for her one is to take red foods into your that's the red element the fire element that's the blueberries raspberries blackberries uh strawberries to take that as a blend with pure apple make two or three apples juice them because it moves the body from an acid to an alkaline state take that juice put the berries in it and becomes a delicious drink that helps to clean out the bloodstream with your infers or you have a weak blood. Also, you're clogged up. So we clean out the colon. Take the okra.
Starting point is 00:55:05 Take your flaxseed. Take your sea moss. Take your water. We have dehydrated. The other element, so you have the fire. What poisons the fire? The quickest way to poison the fire is meat. So start cutting back.
Starting point is 00:55:18 You may not be 100%, but then just have chicken and fish organic and stay away from the beef, the pork, the goat, the lamb. That's a beginning step. Transition in. Have a fruit bowl every morning. Have a vegetable juice. A green juice is power. I've been watching.
Starting point is 00:55:32 You've been taking a green juice. Yeah, she's been taking some greens. I'm so excited. Every time I see the green juice. Because that for me is life itself. And even during the coronavirus, they told us, get sun. Get the vitamin D. But when you get it in your tells, get sun, get the vitamin D. But when you get it in your foods also every day, you have supernatural energy.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Inversion. Inversion is like the simplest thing everybody can do. And it will bring your soul to life. If you just lay down on your bed, put three pillows at the foot of your bed and never move them. Pillow one, on top of pillow two, on top of pillow three. I did it this morning just to be ready for today. That's why I just came out the gate running. Let's go, queen of four.
Starting point is 00:56:12 That will help the fertility. Yes, yeah. That will help the fertility, and that will keep men from getting prostate cancer. So, Ma, sit down. Wait, wait, wait. Tell them what to do. It's an ancient African movement for bringing the soul back to life. So they lay down.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Or in the bed. Right. The pillows are already there. Your legs are elevated over the pillows and just lay. Yeah, I do that now. Ten minutes, that's all. What's your name again, brother? Supernova.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Supernova, I'm sorry. Supernova, yes. You know, you've mentioned it a couple of times, you know, about the sacred masculine and divine feminine. What is the simplest way to explain what the sacred masculine and divine feminine is? The people? Well, I would say for the men, we have a training called Man Heal Thyself Wellness Warriors. Actually, me and mom co-authored a new book that's available now. It's called Man Heal Thyself, The Wellness Warriors Journey to Octum Wellness. Men, we're not taught to value ourselves we're taught to value our relationships what we accumulate in life what we work towards and then
Starting point is 00:57:12 we leave ourselves in an emotional deficit and since from from young young boys were told not to cry shut up just get out here and get it and grind so what we we do that we do that really well we can we can externally conquer but internally we're depleted, right? So a true divine masculine attribute would say, okay, if I empower myself on a daily basis, work on my emotional body, my mental body, and really feed myself holistically, I can show up better for my family. I can show up better for my work in the world because I'm my authentic self. That would be a compliment ultimately to what mom is signaling with sacred woman. And then so we're the brothers. Like where are the men to gather to charge each other, hold each other accountable,
Starting point is 00:57:55 just from not really competing on a religious level or economic level, but just charging each other holistically. You know, hey, brother, did you take your herbs today? You know what I'm saying? Did you de-stress and take your second bath that that would be for me a sacred masculine you know and creating a circle what i call wellness warriors you know i'm saying we have we have the gangsters we got the thugs but we need some wellness warriors i mean from the hip-hop community we've lost quite a few powerful icons who are not
Starting point is 00:58:23 even 50 years old from health disparities you know we have you know heavy d and big pun um uh prodigy you know uh so many i mean so many brothers that that did not make it um to thrive on you know and so i think that we can use this in out of their spirit especially being a part of the hip- community, we should begin to begin to journey, especially as men, you know, we should be able to be the same type of energy we take to be go getters and accumulate what we need.
Starting point is 00:58:52 We should use that same type of spirit for ourselves so we can show up better and be our own themselves. That's right. You know, you know, queen of four. You're a bonus coach right now also. Right.
Starting point is 00:59:01 So you work with a lot of people and you know, I have a juice bar with styles P me and me. I know y''all do y'all be rocking i see y'all how much his attitude has changed just from becoming vegan right because he would be angry he had a bad temper but now everything is chill he's smooth and i just feel like it does like reverse age you and also your whole temperament as well were you always vegetarian and vegan were you raised that way since I was born vegan from her right the womb yeah you know my when my father met queen um you know he was uh into the medical field and he happened to be a vegetarian vegan vegetarian at the time um and they conceived me in that so
Starting point is 00:59:43 it was very hard being raised in the 80s in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Those McDonald's commercials that White Castle was calling you. I mean, every time she would... Okay, so this is the Fluffy Queen you see right now. You know, Queen of Four in the 80s, you know, pulled knives on my uncle for feeding us
Starting point is 00:59:59 toxic foods. It was a black seal. You better not feed my son, though. It was a black seal. It wasn't a knife. Okay, okay. So it was a sacred knife. It was my son though it was a black cellar wasn't a knife okay okay so it was a sacred knife from my point of saying that was she was she was so what what the warrior spirit around wellness and maintaining you know your body mind and spirit in an optimum level i got from her because she had to maneuver us through a system that was not supportive of raising vegan children in brooklyn crime heights 80s. You know, it was very... I mean, I was always getting in fights every day
Starting point is 01:00:27 because I had sprout sandwiches. You were ashamed of your vegan food. I had sprout sandwiches. Sprout sandwiches. You know, sprouted bread with some avocado slices and some sprouts. This is 1982. Fighting in school.
Starting point is 01:00:42 But for me, it made me strong. I had to fight just to be vegan. So I have always had a more warrior approach to my health and wellness just because of how I was raised. Because I had to defend myself just eating an apple. But I'm saying that to tell y'all that, you know, the type of warrior that she signaled for her health and then passed on to her children. That's the spirit ultimately without being dogmatic that we just trying to share with brothers and sisters. Like, you know, we have to we have one life. You know, we should protect it and defend it.
Starting point is 01:01:14 There's so much stuff that is challenging to try to break us down, you know, and we should encourage each other so we can have longevity and be resilient. You know, in the midst of this. All right. We got more with Queen of Four and her son Supernova Sum when we come back so don't move it's the breakfast club good morning morning everybody it's dj envy angela yee charlamagne the guy we are the breakfast club now if you're just joining us we're kicking it with queen of four and her son supernova slum charlamagne you know in the book you talk about the gateways of initiation and you know you talk about sacred words and sacred foods all stuff that you've been describing now. How does that lead to healing?
Starting point is 01:01:50 And what exactly are those gateways of initiation? In the first gate is new. New is about womb healing. So if you have fibroids, cysts, heavy bleeding. Now, men have to go into that because if she's sick, her woman's sick, he's going to have a problem. Because it's not just in her physical womb, it's in her state of mind. When she's sick in her womb, her mind is not well. When she's sick in her womb, her heart is broken.
Starting point is 01:02:17 And you could be the best man, but she's carrying five relationships from her past, still holding on to that. And that's impacting her present state of being the way you down so you got to clean up all those three states in order for her womb to be well so i talk about that in the gateway of newt so you learn that then the next one is to hoodie the hood is about heck oh watch your words when i realized the words was going to kill me i will check my thinking because before you form form a word, you have a thought. That thought is what people come and curse you out with. What was I thinking?
Starting point is 01:02:50 What was I feeling? How was I hurting? Because the people coming in are showing me the words I've been thinking and feeling and speaking. And so we affirm that in the gateway of the word to Hudi, which helps you to be the scribe. The next one is your food is medicine. You know what foods to eat for the body's anatomy based on the elements, eat the air, fire, water, earth. Then you won't have a problem.
Starting point is 01:03:12 You have a respiratory problem, have some scallions, have some red onions. You can clean out the respiratory system. You know, so I go through that with food is medicine. Then movements, I came into the movement by, I developed a system called Womb Yoga Dance dance based on the ancient movements of our ancestors they can call the egyptian yoga but i don't call it egyptian because it's not that's not your name it's the black land it's kevin but it's also get unstuck you have to push yourself sometimes we get into a rhythm that we can't seem to get out we're're looped into it because it's in our DNA.
Starting point is 01:03:45 You keep drinking that drink. You keep eating that food. You keep thinking those thoughts because it's in the DNA and it's automatic. So you're going to have to flush and cleanse to save your family. Because you can go double back to them and help them to heal themselves. You can break loose. The next one is Het Haru. Het Haru is about the children.
Starting point is 01:04:03 She's the mother of the garden of the children and what happens is we have she represents the most beautiful woman every woman is uniquely beautiful she's a flower in the garden of nature but she can't tap into that beauty if her inner child is broken and most broken children most broken adults have that child it hits them around five or seven that's when what you go back to when the pain began. You would know the story. So we got to take those broken parts and begin to mend them.
Starting point is 01:04:31 And we do that in our rights. Then we move ourselves from that level into Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar is about the lady of the heavenly realm. The woman who knows, she picks up, she feels everything.
Starting point is 01:04:42 What I do not know, I trust my spirit to know everything. I said, am I supposed to be here? Like, I was nervous to come here. Spirit said, relax. Why was you nervous? Why were you nervous? I'm so happy I'm here. I don't know what to do with myself. You know, y'all are such a big deal in our community.
Starting point is 01:04:57 I'll tell you the truth. You a big deal in our community. I done heard from you. I mean, from Angela to Lathan. You're a big deal. Like, ton like my wife erica like come on y'all impacted us and we love you we do we love you all and i love y'all all so much for you taking care of us taking care of our minds bringing up issues and bringing to the surface and being able to endure you know i know y'all are like our heroes so to come into the room with you was a big deal well it's a balance
Starting point is 01:05:26 it's ratchetness and it's righteousness it's a balance it's my it's my but but at least you get a chance to talk about it yeah and get a chance to overcome some of the things because we're bringing it out because nobody speaks up for us or about us then how can we even grow you know i grew up with mhotep gary bird i grew up with bob law so y'all y'all are the continuation of for me for the of the legacy of talk your talk and medicine comes out of that talk that communication we're trying to do our part and we're trying to bring you here to really teach us because we know way more than us this is your life's work so that's important wow and i'm so honored
Starting point is 01:06:05 so i'm over the top on it so the spirit said relax and i had to trust okay so you at the gateway i'm at the gateway well the next network never has the intuition trust okay that is my my basis a whole civilization and it's about the balance and when we get our balance it's not just physical balance it's emotional balance it's mental the balance. And when we get our balance, it's not just physical balance, it's emotional balance. It's mental balance. That's why holistic health is so big, because we're looking for the balance. We're looking for Ma'at. We're looking for the harmony. And so Ma'at also deals with our relationships. What do we feel about our mothers and our fathers is very important. We have to heal that up. The next one is about As. As is the mother who sits
Starting point is 01:06:44 on her throne of power. And how you get your power is you have to use that up. The next one is about us. Us is the mother who sits on her throne of power. And how you get your power is you have to use right brain, which is your creativity, which is your intuition, which is your art, which is your beauty. But on the other side is your masculine side, which is where you're going to live, how you're going to live, how do you make your money. So if you can bring both brains together, that's the medicine. Balancing that out opens up the first eye so you can see everything. And you can see what is not good for you. You can see what serves you. You can see why things happen. You can see why you're in the family that you're in, why you chose that family and what you to learn from that family and how to evolve the family to the next level. You get this deep insight. And so that As-Nebit-Het is all about that balance.
Starting point is 01:07:27 As-Nebit-Het represents those two women. Sister to sister. The sister to sister. So all of us have a Nebit-Het. We have a sacred sister. And then you have the final gate that shows up in the older book is the gateway of Neferitum. Neferitum is the lotus.
Starting point is 01:07:46 Out of the mud comes forth the lotus. Nephritum is also a masculine principle. This book, the anniversary, there are two more gates that shows up. That is working with time. Time is life itself. Do not waste your time. So you better think real clear about the next move. Like they say, may the next move like they
Starting point is 01:08:05 say may your next move be your what best move okay so you have to be in a very centered place to make right whole decisions so i look at time based on the guardians the guardians are not gods and gods is their indwelling principles principles of life so the first guardian if you can begin to do this for seven days spring spring is coming. Tap in. Stay awake in your sleep. So because that's when you're going to get the download while you're sleeping, you're going to get a vision. The vision is why
Starting point is 01:08:34 I'm here. You hold on to the vision long enough and strong enough that it will manifest wombly fest out of you. Queen Afua, do you have any final words for us yes this is the prayer that we say as we go from gateway to gateway gateway there's a prayer for the women and there's a prayer for the men the charge for the men is arrange for me the way may i may i
Starting point is 01:08:58 renew myself may i renew myself may i become strong may i become strong arrange for me the way arrange for me the way may i renew myself may i renew myself may i become strong. May I become strong. Arrange for me the way. Arrange for me the way. May I renew myself. May I renew myself. May I become strong. May I become strong. For the women, sacred spirit, hold me near. I'm praying above you, below you, and inside your heart. So just take a deep breath and breathe in and out as you receive it. Sacred spirit, hold me near, close to your bosom. Protect me from all harm and fear beneath the stones of life. Direct my steps in the right way as I journey through this vision. Sacred Spirit, surround me in your most absolute perfect light. Anoint me in your sacred purity. Give me peace
Starting point is 01:09:36 and divine insight. Bless me, truly bless me as I share this sacred life. Teach me sacred spirit to be in tune with the universe. Teach me how to heal with the inner and outer elements of air, fire, water, and earth. And take these words and put to practice. Take these words and live this holistic
Starting point is 01:10:00 life and let us be beacons of life. Let us have great powerful testimonies that we create a legacy for our children's children's children. And that we no longer be a broken people, but a people lifted up in his Marcus Garvey said up. You most mighty people. We can accomplish what we will get.
Starting point is 01:10:20 Thanks. Wellness. Thank you so much. Make sure y'all go get Sacred Woman a guide to healing the feminine body, mind and spirit available everywhere you buy books it'll change your life thank you so much
Starting point is 01:10:33 listen up it's just in the rumor report with Angela Yee it's the rumor report the Breakfast Club well the Raekwon and Ghostface with Angela Yee. It's the Rumor Report. The Breakfast Club. Well, the Raekwon and Ghostface verses went down on Saturday night
Starting point is 01:10:50 and talk about exciting. They had some guest appearances. RZA showed up. Who else was there? Capadonna. Inspector Deck. Master Killer. Inspector Deck.
Starting point is 01:11:01 Was Young Dirty Bastard there? Yes. YDV pulled up. Yes. So a pretty exciting verses and we have to say that I love the way that they ended things. Listen to this. That's right right now. You gotta love.
Starting point is 01:11:16 You gotta like tell your people your friends, anybody you love. You gotta tell them you love them now. Not later. Say it now. You ain't a bitch because you ain't say you oh i love you i tell my brother i love him all the time yo you know me because you only get one life that's why we gotta take care of ourselves i don't give a go see the doctor just know what the you got you ain't gotta take the medicine tonight just go see if you you sick inside
Starting point is 01:11:40 because you don't want to get too late and then it it's like, yo, you took too long, man. We can't save you now. Go to the doctor. Just know what the F you got. You ain't got to take the medicine. You ain't got to take the medicine. Okay? Just know what the F you got.
Starting point is 01:11:55 Ghostface just needs a show where he just gives advice. Man, I love Ray Quarney and Ghostface. Ghostface is my favorite rapper of all time. These brothers are like real life superheroes to me. What's the last time you told your brother you love? What's the last time you said dramas I love you?
Starting point is 01:12:09 First of all, I make y'all hug each other in here all the time. I make y'all tell each other y'all love each other all the time. You should always hug your brother,
Starting point is 01:12:16 all your sisters. No force about hugging. That's right, but you tell them you love them, you value them, and you appreciate them. Say it right now. I love you,
Starting point is 01:12:22 I value you, and I appreciate you. I say that to you all the time. Remember when Juice WRLD was in here and I was telling his boys to hug Juice WRLD? I bet you they wish they had hugged him. Why you ain't say it to Dramos? I ain't never said it to him. I love you, Dramos.
Starting point is 01:12:34 Why it took you a minute to say it? Just look at that man and say I love you. I do love Dramos. I love Dramos. I appreciate Dramos. Dramos comes to work every day. He does his job. He's a professional.
Starting point is 01:12:44 You know what I mean? I value Dramos. I absolutely do. work every day. He does his job. He's a professional. You know what I mean? I value Dramos. I absolutely do. Thank you. You're welcome. All right. Well, it was good to see some of my favorite guys from the Woo. You know, that was my first job ever in this business.
Starting point is 01:12:52 It's like family. Kappa Donna, by the way, I always felt like was so underrated. Absolutely. Like his music and his album. He just used to be able to flow for like 20 minutes without taking a breath. That was his first verse he ever laid, too. Ice cream. And he talked about that during
Starting point is 01:13:06 the verses also. Alright, now let's talk about some upcoming verses that you guys might be excited for. The Isley Brothers versus Earth, Wind, and Fire. Oh, Lord. Now I gotta watch my mama and aunt them on Zoom again. And Redman versus Method Man. Listen, so with the Isley Brothers
Starting point is 01:13:22 and Earth, Wind, and Fire, who you got? I gotta ask my mama now Yeah, nobody wins those though That's just classic That is exciting Earth, Wind & Fire show, by the way, when I used to work at Sirius They had a show in the front lobby Amazing
Starting point is 01:13:37 Just the way that they perform with the band And everything You know how long it took me to help my parents to get on there Last time when Patti LaBelle was on there You know how long it's gonna take help my parents to get on there last time when Patti LaBelle was on there? You know how long it's going to take me to help them get on this time? Lord have mercy. Goodness gracious. I lean, I lean Isley Brothers, though.
Starting point is 01:13:55 Hmm. That's a tough one, man. I love some Earth, Wind & Fire because their live show, when I talk about amazing, energetic, September, that was in every movie. But also with the verses, they also show some other upcoming ones that they're going to be having. A ladies night one, a Memorial Day weekend, May 5th, May 9th, all of that. But they have the names blurred out.
Starting point is 01:14:16 So we don't know who's going to be on those. And Red and Meth on 420. That's a special one. That's special. It's going to be a great one. Everyone's going to be smoking that day. All right. Well, that is your rumor report.
Starting point is 01:14:26 All right. Charlamagne, who are you giving your donkey to? Dumb parents with smartphones. We'll talk about it for after the hour. All right. We'll get to that next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:14:34 It's going to be a donkey because right now you want some real donkey shit. It's time for Donkey of the Day. So if you ever feel I need to be a donkey, man, hit me with the heel. Did she get donkey in the name please? Absolutely. I have become donkey of the day. It's a breakfast club, bitches. You're a donkey.
Starting point is 01:14:53 Donkey of the day for Monday, March 22nd. Let's all do a little scratch. Oh, it's Monday. Goes to a 25-year- jose navarrete jose i believe is a san diego resident because this incident of stupidity happened at the san diego zoo on friday so i'm just assuming he's from san diego could have just been visiting but it doesn't matter where he's from uh he's dumb okay and donkey of the day is all about giving people the credit they deserve for being stupid now i know y'all say well uncle charla calling someone dumb is harsh i I can hear my five-year-old saying that to me right now.
Starting point is 01:15:27 Well, Donkey of the Day is reserved for people who do stupid things, okay? Doesn't mean that they themselves are necessarily dumb. Very true. But this person, Jose? Jose Navarrete? Oh, he's dumb.
Starting point is 01:15:40 Just trust me on this one, okay? Now, everyone has the right to be dumb. But see, that dumbness bleeds over into the rest of society, and we have to deal with it. Now, I understand why my father was the way he was with me sometime. I once caught my father telling my mom, let's just kill him and get the insurance money. What? Listen, I know, I know that sounds harsh, okay? And I definitely deserve more grace because I was young, I was in my teens.
Starting point is 01:16:04 But I understand the sentiment sometimes you looking at people and you like this just a defective product all right let's get them up out of here before they get us all hurt because there's certain levels of dumbness that affects everyone and jose navarrete has that level of dumbness see jose is 25 and he's a father. Okay. A father of at least one child. We know of this child is two years old. Now, kids are supposed to make you smarter. I would think because even if you're not wise enough, smart enough to make the right choices for yourself, maybe you'll make them for the child. But when you dumb, like really dumb, you don't even realize that you're putting the child in danger with your dumbness.
Starting point is 01:16:46 That's exactly what Jose Navarrete did this past Friday. Not only put yourself in danger, but put his helpless two-year-old child in danger, too. Let's go to KGTV, ABC 10 for the report, please. A terrifying close call for people at the zoo Friday night. A man entering the elephant enclosure with his two-year-old daughter in his arms. San Diego police say the man wanted a picture getting through two security fences meant to keep people away from the elephants. One of those fences is electrified. Witnesses say the elephants
Starting point is 01:17:21 quickly became aggravated. The elephant starts charging the man with his baby in his arms. The man was able to make it out but not before another close call. Police say he dropped the child as the animal was approaching. He's able to like tuck and roll and kind of throw the baby back underneath the vents of the enclosure. Police say the man will be facing at least child endangerment charges. They are also looking into whether or not he was intoxicated. I heard the good brother, Waka Flocka, say something this weekend, and I've been saying this to y'all for years, but I like how he said it. Listen.
Starting point is 01:17:58 Nobody tell y'all you're in this, but try to get a viral moment for the internet. Go get your ass hurt. Listen, if you want to die jose die but don't take the kid with you okay they say our children choose us but guys like jose make me wonder about that number one why okay that's my first question jose why i got a second question number two why okay and my third question for you jose why you're 25 years old there's multiple barriers and signs telling you not to go into these animal habitats for a reason and you risked life limb and your child because you wanted to get a closer picture with an elephant? That's why some of y'all
Starting point is 01:18:48 just need to be black for a day. Okay, the thrills y'all seeking, the anxiety you're looking for, the fear you want that constant shot of cortisol going through your veins, just be black for the day because it is indeed a privilege to take these kind of chances just because you decided to jump into
Starting point is 01:19:04 a habitat which is home to asian and african elephants in the san diego zoo it's home to asian and african elephant elephants because you simply wanted to and then gonna act surprised when the elephant reacts like a elephant i just told you the elephants in that cage were asian and african and this elephant was probably asian and was not taking no chances with you, Jose. He didn't realize you weren't a colonizer until he got up on you. If you was Anglo-Saxon, you might not be here today. Okay, that Asian or African elephant charged you, got up on you, realized you weren't a colonizer,
Starting point is 01:19:37 and you had your child with you, and he spared you. Then you dropped your two-year-old. You just dropped the child i find it so interesting that you held on to your phone but not the child that's a conscious decision whether you realize it or not you hold on to whatever has the most value to you didn't drop the phone but dropped your child smartphones in the hands of dumb people. Flocker, let people know the moral of the story again, please. Nobody telling y'all young niggas this, but I'm trying to get a viral moment for the internet.
Starting point is 01:20:13 Go get your ass hurt. Now Jose faces a charge related to child cruelty, and he earned that, and he's being held on a $100,000 bail. Please give Jose Navarrete the sweet sounds of the Hamilton's. Oh, now you are the donkey of the day. You are the donkey of the day. Yee-haw. You just wake up on Monday morning just asking yourself, what's wrong with people? What a dumbass.
Starting point is 01:20:50 The video looks so stupid, too. It looks so stupid. You jumped an electric fence and all these other barriers to take a picture with a goddamn elephant with your two-year-old in your hand. Like I said, man, if you want to die, die. But don't take the kid with you. The way out, you drop your two-year-old child. You drop your child, but hold on to your phone. You got the phone in his hand. Like I said, man, if you want to die, die. But don't take the kid with you. The way out, you drop your two-year-old child. You drop your child, but hold on to your phone! The phone is in.
Starting point is 01:21:09 Goodness gracious. Alright. Alright, alright. Well, thank you for that donkey today. Now when we come back, phone lines are wide open. 800-585-1051. I see the whole week and people are talking about Quavo and Saweetie, and there was a rumor that Quavo repossessed the Bentley that he bought her.
Starting point is 01:21:27 But let's take it away from them. That wasn't true? No, they said that wasn't true. Oh, okay. But let's take it away from them. 800-585-1051. Let's say you bought your girlfriend a Bentley. A car.
Starting point is 01:21:40 Oh, you bought your man one because women do that too. Don't say a Bentley. Just say a car. Jesus Christ. Everybody in out here can find a Bentley. My God. It don't even got to be a car. It could just. Don't say a Bentley. Just say a car. Jesus Christ. Everybody ain't out here. It don't even got to be a car. It could just be a gift. Let's say a car.
Starting point is 01:21:49 Let's say you bought a car and y'all broke up. Do you want that car back? Do you think she should give you your car back? And ladies, would you give that car back? Are you keeping it? It's the same. Is it in its least anyways? You have to give it back in a couple of years.
Starting point is 01:22:00 How do you know it's least? It could be bought. You're a hater, man. 800-585-1051. Let's open up the phone lines. How do you know it's leased? It could be bought. You're a hater, man. 800-585-1051. Let's open up the phone lines. What would you do? Call us up. It's The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:22:10 Good morning. Pull out your phone. Call in right now. You call me. Add your opinion to The Breakfast Club topic. Break it down. 800-585-1051.
Starting point is 01:22:21 The Breakfast Club. It's topic time. Call 800-585-1051 to join in to the discussion with The Breakfast Club. Talk about it. Morning everybody. It's DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
Starting point is 01:22:42 We are The Breakfast Club. Now if you just joined us or we're taking this out of saweetie and quavo situation now over the weekend there was rumors that you know he purchased her bought her a bentley a couple of months ago and that he allegedly repossessed that car but that's not true right no it's not true according to quavo's team that did not happen they did break up though so we're asking 800-585-1051 if you bought your girl a car would you take it back when you broke up and ladies would you uh give that car back or would you keep it let's start let's start with you ye what would you do would you if your man bought
Starting point is 01:23:15 you a car cheated on you or whatever allegedly y'all broke up would you get a car back uh why would i give the car back now i might trade it in for something else because I don't want to drive that same car, but if it was a gift and you gave me something, am I supposed to return a gift just because we broke up? I will tell you this, though. If you ask me for it back and you're being petty and harassing me, I would give it back just because I would want to get
Starting point is 01:23:38 you out of my hair, but if you ain't saying nothing, it's a gift. Okay. Charlamagne? Nah, I wouldn't take it back, but I would inform her that the lease is up in a couple years don't go over the mileage you know i'm saying and i give her the name of the dealership to return to return the lease when the lease is up but i wouldn't take it back okay no i wouldn't take it back either wouldn't take it back no way let's go to the phone lines hello who's this yo this is ron from savannah, Georgia. What's up, Ron from Georgia?
Starting point is 01:24:05 What's up, Ron? Now, what would you do in that situation, Ron? Yo, man, I'm taking the car back, man. I bought my ex-wife a car, and when we broke up, she said she wanted my wife no more. She don't get the car no more neither. What kind of car was it? It was a Chrysler 200. Whoa, big boy toy.
Starting point is 01:24:20 Yeah. Man, I can't believe you took the car back. Why did y'all break up? It had Ram's tenant and it played DVDs. Big boy toy, you wasn't playing with him. It played DVDs? Oh, you took that back. Where do you live at?
Starting point is 01:24:34 He's from Georgia. So what you do with the car? Oh, I got it. I drive it around to work every day. There you go. What part of Georgia, King? Put the DVDs in. Savannah, Georgia.
Starting point is 01:24:42 That's right. You let them know, King. You are not one of them. All right? Not the one to play Georgia. That's right. You let him know, King. You are not one of them. All right? Not the one to play with. That's right. Taking that Chrysler 200 back and the rims and the DVD player inside of it. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 01:24:54 This is Nene. Hey, Nene. Good morning. Hey, Nene. Good morning. Now, I'm reading this. Now, you bought your man some braces. Y'all broke up, and you want the braces back?
Starting point is 01:25:03 I feel like I should have got them back, and he still got them same braces in his mouth, but we didn't get broke up since, what, 2015? You my kind of petty. You ain't going to have nice teeth without me, n***a. Okay? Smiling in another chick's face. That's right.
Starting point is 01:25:20 That's right. Smiling all up in them faces, smiling with my braces in your mouth. I know that's right. I know his mouth smell like a handful of nickels because he's still got them same braces. How long you have braces? Five years, six years, he said. I mean, I got them braces in like 2013, it's 2021, and he's still got them same. Well, how bad was his teeth?
Starting point is 01:25:40 His teeth might have been very bad. Look at me, I'm the captain now. Bad. How long has he got to have the braces in? I don't know. I don't f*** with him no more. At all. I just see him on Facebook and boom. Oh, you stalk him a little bit. You stalk him to see how he's doing. No, he keeps popping up in my people. You may know. We got mutual friends.
Starting point is 01:25:57 I think you got to say his name for the culture just so people know. DeJuan. DeJuan. How old is Dewan oh my gosh he about in his 30s Dewan
Starting point is 01:26:09 30 something with braces damn now when you see Dewan in these streets you know who paid for those braces that's me
Starting point is 01:26:15 that's me alright damn it man alright thank you mama you're welcome boy that's a shame boy
Starting point is 01:26:23 I ain't giving you back the braces though if you paid for braces for me I ain't giving you back the braces, though. If you paid for braces for me, I ain't giving them back. Oh my gosh. No, I want the braces back. I can see that. What? I mean, I see what she's saying. Her mind state is like, yo, you're not about to have a nice smile for some other chicks, you know what I'm saying? So you want me to take these
Starting point is 01:26:35 braces out and give them to you? By the way, why would you leave a woman that bought you braces? I'ma mail them back to you? I don't know, but why would you leave a woman that bought you braces? Like, that's a different kind of love right there. I bought you braces? Braces? That means I really care woman that bought you braces? Like, that's a different kind of love right there. I bought you braces? Braces? That means I really care when I buy you braces, yo. 800-585-1051. We're asking if you bought your girlfriend a gift, a car, and y'all broke up, would you want that car back?
Starting point is 01:26:58 And ladies, would you return it? Let's talk about it. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. I know it now. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in.
Starting point is 01:27:04 I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. I know I'm in. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Now, if you just joined us, we're talking about Quavo and Saweetie. Now, allegedly, they broke up and he wanted his car back that he purchased her, but that was all a lie, right, Yee? Yes, he says, according to his team, they told TMZ that did not happen. Alright, so we're asking, if you bought your girl a car
Starting point is 01:27:38 and she broke up with you, y'all broke up, would you want the car back? Manny, good morning. Good morning, man. Now, we're asking, if you bought your girl a car, would you want it back if y'all broke up? So, I actually bought it after two years of dating, thinking that we were going to get married and all that. I even went as far as putting both our names on the title as and and not or. So, it was my name and her name. So, that meant that when we broke up, I couldn't even take the car back.
Starting point is 01:28:02 But not only that, I had to go down to the DMV to sign it off to her. It was like a double hit. I couldn't even just ask for it back. I couldn't ask for it back, and I had to sign it for her again. What kind of car? I'm never going to do that again, man. What kind of car? It was a Ford Focus. It wasn't anything out of this world. I mean, that's still better than a lot
Starting point is 01:28:20 of other vehicles that a lot of people are riding, so I can understand you wanting it back. I was actually reading where they say that if the recipient wants to give the gift away or donate it to charity the law says that is just fine the only time someone can ask for a gift back is if the gift was given in an exchange for a promise it's known as a conditional gift and an example of a conditional gift is an engagement ring. Engagement ring. Hello, who's this? This is Denise. Hey, now what's your story, mama? I actually am the car buyer, so thank you
Starting point is 01:28:49 for that. There you go. That's right. We buy gifts too. We got it. Exactly. But if we were to split up, it was my fiance at the time. We are married now. And if things were to go south and we split up, I'm not going to take his main road transportation. This child is too petty to me. Now, I'm not going to take his main load of transportation.
Starting point is 01:29:05 That's childish and petty to me. Now, I will say to you, Charlamagne, it's not leased. It is financed, but it is not leased. So if we were to split before the financing is paid off, he can pay it, but I'm not going to take the car. Now, does it depend on why you broke up, though? Like, what if he did something crazy? It depends on what the crazy is. What if he had the next chick in the car?
Starting point is 01:29:26 What if he was letting her drive it? She's a payboy, too. I'm going to switch it out of my hand. We're going to pay it together. It ain't going to be on me. Y'all can split these payments. I'm glad you got somebody that can help you split these payments, sir. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:29:39 Thank you, Baba. Hello, who's this? Yo, what's going on? This is Oz from Elm Island, Long Island. Oz from Long Island. Now, you bought your girl a car. Y'all broke up. You want that car back?
Starting point is 01:29:50 Not. No matter what it is that I buy her, be it a Bentley or an RC car, if I buy you a gift out of love, you keep that and keep that love. Okay. That's nice of you. There you go. All right, brother. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 01:30:00 Yo, this is Daniel. Hey, Daniel. Now, if you bought your girl a car, y'all broke up. You want that car back? Well, I did buy her one, but I didn't get the car back, Daniel. Now, if you bought your girl a car, y'all broke up. You want that car back? Well, I did buy her one, but I didn't get the car back, man. Did you try? No, I didn't try because, you know, I'm a man. I admit I was at fault, so I didn't get it back.
Starting point is 01:30:14 And plus, that's my kid's way of transportation to get around with her. Okay. What kind of car was it? It was a minivan. I didn't want it back anyway. The real reason. The real reason why. There you go. All didn't want it back anyway. The real reason. The real reason why. There you go.
Starting point is 01:30:27 All right. Thank you, man. I wonder what hits harder, though. Taking the vehicle back or letting her keep the vehicle or him keep the vehicle because either way, that person always has to think about you. If you take the car back, eventually that person may forget that. You know what I'm saying? It'll come up every now and then.
Starting point is 01:30:41 But you let them keep the car. Every time they get in that car, every time they start that car. They thinking about you like you You gotta trade it in. Yeah, I don't know if you still think about somebody just cuz you got in the car People buy me gifts and I don't think about them if I wear it not a car though Every day, oh you see every day word car different getting and be like, at least I got something out of it. Yeah, but either way, you still thinking about him. Now you got to trade that in.
Starting point is 01:31:10 So what's the moral of the story if there is a moral? I don't know if there is a moral of the story. To be honest with you, I think that if you're dating somebody that can buy you any type of vehicle you want, to me. Right.
Starting point is 01:31:21 And I think this, I also feel like if somebody makes a big deal about a gift that they gave you and they harass you and they use it as an excuse to keep in contact with you, just give it back. Leave me alone. Get out of here. Alright. Well, we got rumors on the way. Yes, Kylie Jenner. People were upset at
Starting point is 01:31:36 her and that is because she was trying to raise money for her injured makeup artist, somebody that's worked with her. We'll see what you think about this. She don't get her rich ass out of here. What? You rich as hell. That person worked for you. Don't count that lady money. Don't count that lady money. We don't know what football
Starting point is 01:31:52 team, baseball team, basketball team, or country she trying to buy. We don't know what's up. I don't care. She got it. Alright, we'll talk about it when we come back. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee. On The Breakfast Club. So Samaria Rice was the mother of Tamir Rice.
Starting point is 01:32:18 Tamir Rice was the 12-year-old child who was killed by Cleveland police back in 2014. Had went on the Clay Cain Show, and she was discussing what she thought about people like Tamika Mallory and Until Freedom and also Black Lives Matter, just monopolizing, quote, monopolizing the fight for racial justice. Here's what she said in an interview. Well, it is clout chasing. Anytime you have activists, people, we don't even know where these people come from, that be speaking on behalf of our children.
Starting point is 01:32:47 We never asked them to represent us. And then you rep the benefits with movie deals and book deals. And, you know, you develop a platform off our children. I'm still building a center for my son. And Black Lives Matter got the NERDA Act. Say they got $90 million after six months or something. So as I'm building and still fighting for justice for my son, because we still got a 10 months left to get a perjury charges on Timothy Lohman on a state level. Those type of people, Sean Kings, Tamika Mallory, Patrice Cullors, y'all make it very hard for us to fight our fight.
Starting point is 01:33:25 Man, I thought they would be helping the fight. The fact that they're on the front lines, the fact that they're out there protesting, the fact that they're out there pushing the narrative. I thought they would be helping. Now, another issue that that was getting resolved over the weekend, hopefully, is Black Lives Matter. They've met with the Michael Brown Chosen for Change Foundation. That's a nonprofit organization that was founded by the father of Michael Brown his son some people would say he sparked
Starting point is 01:33:50 the Black Lives Matter movement after he was fatally shot by a Ferguson police officer back in 2014 and so they were saying that basically Black Lives Matter was getting all these donations and money and none of that was going toward any of these organizations the Michael Brown Chosen for Change Foundation so they did meet over the weekend and they've been sharing their experiences
Starting point is 01:34:10 from the past six years they put out a press release too they said when a family loses a loved one to violence that family attempts to develop new ways to live with life without their loved ones the concepts of normal and healing may become elusive for the few families whose loved ones deaths actually receive media attention those families are forcibly uh ushered into a movement that they may or may not have been involved in previously while some families appreciate community leaders who have taken up the baton to organize advocate and fund the movement many families are still seeking justice and so uh they said they're i guess working on developing relationships right now. And Tamika Mallory responded right on her podcast. Now, here is what Tamika Mallory had to say about attempting to contact Samaria Rice.
Starting point is 01:34:54 From my perspective, I want to make sure that as a mother that I speak directly to Miss Rice and also just so that know, I have reached out through some other individuals. I don't have a direct contact for Ms. Rice, but I have reached out and let some other folks know that if she wants to speak with me, I'm available to do so. I feel like we all have failed her. As a nation, I think that whenever a child or any person, but particularly a child is killed, this nation should have erupted. Listen, God bless Tamir Rice, sending her positive vibes, love, light and healing energy always. But I don't think Tamika failed, you know, Tamir Rice. I understand what Tamika means when she says the nation should have erupted. But this wicked white supremacist system failed Tamir Rice, just like they have historically failed black people since we got here and we cannot allow people to
Starting point is 01:35:49 discredit somebody like tamika mallory tamika mallory was born into activism that's all she's ever done what she's doing now is what she's been doing her whole life she devoted her life to activism okay when she was 20 she's 40 now i know she looks 19 but that's a grown woman and she's been out here on the front lines doing this work for years and nobody was paying attention. Nobody cared. But now because of social media, a lot of what she does gets broadcast to the world. She has an audience. And just because, you know, y'all just finding out about her, it doesn't mean she's new to this at all. Well, here's some more of what Tamika Mallory had to say on her Street Politicians podcast. I think it's important to clarify whether or not we have used
Starting point is 01:36:26 Ms. Rice's child in campaigns or in speeches or fundraising or any of those types of efforts. We have not. I have been very, very careful not to speak about cases or individuals that I have not worked directly with the families. And in particular, in this situation, we've never even met. And so therefore I would never be so disrespectful as to speak about her child or to have a campaign that addresses her child or that uses her child's name to uplift any cause. And you know, to say that Tamika is doing this for clout is just wrong. It's just not accurate. And I don't know why people think these folks are rich.
Starting point is 01:37:12 But even if they do acquire money because of who they are and the work they do, why not? Like, Tamika Mallory got a story. She deserves everything she's receiving right now. And I love how she responded because she does understand that with Ms. Rice. She said, I understand that pain and trauma and she said she is available to be supportive and if necessary she said I'm here for phone calls I'm here for any type of conversations
Starting point is 01:37:31 but she did clarify she has been in the social justice space for more than 25 years yeah she was born in activism but I love that because that could you know people get very defensive but we also have to understand that obviously Samaria Rice has gone through she's lost a child and it hurts everyday I'm sure that could you know people get very defensive but we also have to understand that obviously samaria rice has gone through what she's lost a child and it hurts every day i'm sure so you know
Starting point is 01:37:51 and it seems like she's felt feels like she should have called about her name so hopefully this can lead to something beneficial i just think you know we know being an activist is thankless work you know i'm saying so if an activist gets a book deal they earn that you know i mean if they if they get a podcast they're getting paid for they earn that like you know they're getting booked for speaking engagements they earn that and i want somebody like tamika on the grammy stage delivering the same kind of message she's been delivering for years her whole life but now the world gets to see and hear and do we think that activists didn't get book deals and stuff back in the day mk jr had book deals michael mex had book deals james didn't get book deals and stuff back in the day? MLK Jr. had book deals. Malcolm X had book deals. James Baldwin
Starting point is 01:38:28 had book deals. I can't speak for any of these other folks, but I can only speak for Tamika Mallory. She is who she says she is. Period. Alright, well that is your rumor report. And can I give a shameless plug? That's the Street Politicians podcast. You wanna do it right now? Yes. Go for it. On the Black Effect
Starting point is 01:38:43 iHeartRadio podcast network. She earned that. And the book is coming out when? State of Emergency. May 11th. How to do it right now? Yes. Go for it. On the Black Effect iHeartRadio Podcast Network. She earned that. And the book is coming out when? State of Emergency. May 11th. How to Win in the Country We Built. You can pre-order it now.
Starting point is 01:38:51 She earned that. Damn right. All right. All right. All right. Sheesh. All right. Positivity.
Starting point is 01:38:57 It is positive. No, I'm just saying it's the energy. Just change. We all on the same page. Yes. You know what I'm saying? So we all on the same page.
Starting point is 01:39:06 Like I said, God bless you, Mayor Rice. Sending her positive energy, love, light, and healing energy. The only people that failed her is this wicked white supremacist system that has been failing us since the beginning of time. Here we go. Alright, shout to Revolt. We'll see you tomorrow. Everybody else, the People's Choice mixes up next. Let's go!

Starting point is 01:39:40 Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Now, it's Women's Month. And who are we repping today, Yee? hooked me up with Dress for Success. When I went to the Women's March, it was because she had got a bus to bring some of her employees at Atlantic Records to the Women's March, and she invited me to come there. And so she's very involved in that as well. So I always admire somebody who not just does the work, but does the work outside of their job. And she started off in 1992 at Def Jam Records. And just a decade later, she was named president of Island Records. Not a lot of women held titles like that at a major label. And here is what Julie Greenwald has to say about three unwritten rules for being in the industry.
Starting point is 01:40:33 It's Women's History Month, and we're celebrating the most influential women in history. Check out this phenomenal woman. It's definitely a men's club. And I think the first thing you have to do is just acknowledge it and understand what you're working within, right? And not try to, you know, go woes me. I'm in the boys. It's a boys club I can't get in. What you have to do is you have to figure out how are you going to work your way up inside of it, right? And so, um, you know, my thing was is I found my own peers like Andre said. No, I was not hanging out at the beginning with Andre,
Starting point is 01:41:06 Russell, and Lior. They did not invite me to Barbados, okay? But I found my own peers, and I found my own crew of people to network with, and that I was growing up with, that we could, you know, commiserate with, have fun with. And I found women, and I also found men to befriend who were also going to become not only my peers but my you know comrades in arms as we were you know hopefully you know shaking up the music business um so you really have to just you know not look at yourself and give yourself any kind of pity you have to say hey this is the situation I'm in. How am I going to make the most of it? And that was another phenomenal woman in history. All right.
Starting point is 01:41:54 So we are congratulating Miss Julie Greenwald. Thank you for being an icon in this business and in life. All right. Shout out to Julie Greenwald. Now, when we come back, we got the positive note. Don't move. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody.
