Hey, Jonas is available now, and their first guest is a big one.
Paul Rudd.
You know, Steve Carell is a great singer.
Can you tell you not to audition at the office or something?
I told him.
Whoa.
We were filming Anchorman.
Clearly, I was the idiot.
Thank God he didn't listen to me, right?
Listen to Hey Jonas on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Amanda and Wes, watch out.
We're not getting to be easy on you.

It's that time to put on your jersey and wave your flag, whoever you root for.
Why do I watch the walk up?
That's like asking me, why do I breed?
And it's beautiful.
The guys are young and cute and fit.
It's not just a game.
It's your culture.
I like watching it with my dad.
It's a connecting force.
From Futuro Studios, I'm Fernando Chavari, and this is American Football, a show about soccer culture in the U.S. and its underdog roots.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season, and I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was fine.
You just understood.
That's how personal it got.
Wow.
Then after that game seven, Marquis come in, he's like, you know, I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love.
This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Every day I wake up.
You're all finished or y'all's done.
Morning, everybody is DJ Envi.
Just hilarious.
Salamey and the guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
Laun LaRose is here as well.
We got a special guest in the building.
Who we got.
We have Erica Campbell.
Welcome.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Glad to be here.
Good morning.
How you feeling?
I'm good.
Thou shall not commit a do treat on lifetime.
Hello.
Yeah.
Oh, my goodness.
You were in the church playing with these people's heart and cheating in the background.
Am I playing?
Okay.
Maybe not.
Maybe not.
Maybe not.
It's right.
It's not.
It's right.
It's okay.
I'm ready.
I'm ready.
It's your heart that you're trying to figure out.
Yeah, you know what?
It is.
It is.
It's, it's my character had a need.
And she was just meeting it in an ill.
illegitimate way.
I think sin causes us to meet a legitimate need
illegitimately.
She needed attention from her husband
and, you know, the business was working,
the brand was working, but the connection,
the care, the tenderness was not there.
Yeah.
So.
So break down for people that haven't seen it as yet.
So.
So Cassie is this faith influencer
who's...
That's true. The name is Cassie.
I just figured, I just all connected.
But go ahead.
Cassie Davies is his faith influencer.
And she's, you know,
you know, moving up the, you know, her status is growing,
and she has Jasmine Guy who plays her mentor,
and it's just kind of helping her get there.
But in the meantime, she just really wants some more attention from her husband,
and her husband literally treats her like a product.
So, you know, he hires security to keep her safe because there's threats coming
because it is a thriller.
You don't know who trying to kill her the whole movie.
And, yeah, they just get too close and go too far, and then she tries to cover it up.
Yo, that is crazy.
And all of that.
Because who else hired somebody to do that?
work with Cassie and then all of a sudden.
And then everything, things hit the fan.
Right.
Well, things hit the, ooh, yeah.
This is a faith-based film.
This has nothing to do with precofts.
You're right.
You're right.
I just, it's connection to me.
Real life.
I see what you're doing.
Somebody hired.
You know, I mean, I think people should.
But it's real life references.
Yeah.
But I think people should understand the church is not this abstract.
Who you think go to the church,
people in the world with the same need, same desires.
It's just a matter of, am I trying
my best to let God lead my life. That's a day-to-day process. And I think God wakes us up every morning
and every morning we get an opportunity to do the right thing or the wrong thing. And you will live
or die by your choices and consequences. Life is not random. The life you live is closely related
to, you know, your choices and the people around you. And so when you look at it that way,
you can be responsible and make the changes that you need or just blame everybody. I wouldn't be this.
I wouldn't do this. You know. Now when the church folk get a hold of this.
What do you anticipate the biggest response to be from the church?
The church and the religious people are two different groups.
The church people will get it.
They'll understand.
They'll know.
The religious people will, you know, you shouldn't be doing that?
No, my God.
You still get that now?
You can't be an actress?
Yes, I still get it.
It comes with the territory.
So I'm blessed, and I know I'm blessed.
But when you're blessed, you're at a different level.
So there are more eyes on me.
So the eyes that validate and celebrate are sometimes equal to the eyes that condemn and judge
because they don't understand.
And so that's fine.
I'm not supposed to think like you.
You're trying to think like me because God is blessed me, you know?
But I do understand some of that, right?
What you mean?
Not the actress part.
Not being an actress, not doing your job.
But I do, and Jess knows because she laughs every time we talk about it,
I do dislike when somebody from the church preaches something and lives the total opposite way.
Because I do think that people who are from the church into the Bible, into God,
more than the average person,
because for me, I feel like they should know better.
So when they preach a certain way
and then do something totally opposite,
that always grinds my gears.
How can they lead me if they're out here living, you know,
like a facade?
Because, you know, a lot of these preachers are,
they don't have the same type of mind sentimentality.
They're still human.
Like, who said once you serve God?
Everything is perfect.
You make all good choices.
You right.
Serving God means every time I fall,
I say, help me get back up and not do the security.
serving God is I know you blessed me help me to honor those blessings with how I live but if I don't
that's why Jesus went to the cross because there's no way for any of us to be perfect that is the trick I think
the enemy uses to keep people away from faith and away from God because I don't got myself together
if I could do it by myself I would do it by myself but I can't I suck without Jesus I'm not here because
oh I figured it out and got some answers I'm here because you know better than me you created me
you know the beginning from the end and so if I trust you even if I
walk in the wrong door, you're going to be with me
every step of the way. Even if I fall, you're
going to pick me back up. People won't.
And that's okay. But if you serve
God, it don't matter if this man or this woman
mess up. I'm not ever leaving Jesus.
You know? And so people
like to, you know, I'll serve God, but I don't do church people.
How a basketball player going to be a basketball player,
but he's never around basketball players. Right?
You know what I'm saying? How a rapper going to be a rapper, but I hang
with all doctors or, you know, scientists. And God will use anybody
to lead. He will use Obama
on the street he will you know salute
to all the bums. Homeless people. I'm sorry
he will homeless.
We got to be careful. I know it's tough.
They don't like that term.
No, it's going to say midget,
it's little people. It's like certain things you got to
he'll even use one of them too.
He will. Listen, David wasn't perfect.
Moses wasn't perfect.
Abraham wasn't perfect. Who in the Bible
was perfect? Where do we get that from?
He is perfecting us. And in order
to perfect something, you've got to stretch it.
It's got to be in uncomfortable situations.
order for me to grow. How do I know I can conquer something if I never face it? If I'm afraid to go in a
room, I don't know who I can be in that room. Right? So I take God with me in that room to help me process
and become and be a light. We're always supposed to be a light. And who said that light always feels good for
people, you know? I think the preacher who has messed up, most preachers a different message than the man
that never fail. And we want people to never fail. But then why would we need Jesus if we're never going to
fail, right? It's always come back to him. And as I aspire to be more like him, I choose him more than
that. It's not that I don't see it. I just choose God more. You know what I'm saying? Whether it's my
flesh, my desire, want money, whatever. God, I choose you more than I choose that. And that's what
keeps God in me, not what people are going to think or what people are going to say, God, are you
pleased with what I did today, with how I operated, with how I was moving, you know, through life.
And when that is your guide, you can make a better choice. But if you take your eyes all
Jesus. If you take your eyes off the main thing, people and they can't tell me what to do.
You know, everybody loves, they can't tell me what to do. Okay, good luck with that.
Were you hesitant at all to take this part? Absolutely. Absolutely. Why? And why were you
hesitant? And also what made you decide to do it? A number of reasons. One, you know, I'm the Jesus
girl. So playing this role gives a different look. But I've seen this a million times in life, friends.
I didn't have a million conversations with,
girl, I met this dude, oh my God, you know.
I've seen it a million times and I understand
how easy it is to fall.
And so I wanted to portray how sometimes the enemy
will start in January to destroy you by December
with a small, we're just friends with a small,
he noticed me with a small.
And you see it in the film.
You see the glances.
You see the shaking my hand and your thumb is rubbing my hand
a little bit too much.
You see it happen.
It's everyday life.
And so to see it as a woman of faith
and be able to, you know, help people see that you could recover.
You don't have to stay there.
It is your choice.
I couldn't help.
It ain't really a legitimate excuse.
You do what you want to do.
What your flesh tells you you need to do.
What your mind tells you you have to have.
And so when you become stronger in your core,
it allows you to make better choices.
And I think people will see that in the film.
I think people will talk more.
I think people will be honest.
I think some people will see themselves.
No matter which character you are,
I think people be like, let me just go on to cut this thing off
because this is headed in the wrong direction fast.
Did you always have the desire to act?
I did, my whole life.
Yeah.
My whole life I wanted to.
And I thought this, ooh, don't you get emotional.
I thought the opportunity had passed.
You know, I was like, well, maybe it's not for me.
You know, once you hit 50, you'd be like, okay.
You know, it ain't going to be.
I mean, damn, you just said, damn.
I said, anyway.
Wow.
So, no, you just, I thought the opportunity was over.
And what I realized is God remembers every dream I had.
I will never forget about you.
You don't forget about you.
I'll eat that almost every day.
It's timing.
It's when you're ready for it.
Me as a mature woman being in this space is different than 20 or 30-year-old, Erica.
And so, yeah, when it happened, because they asked me like three different times,
I was like, my schedule won't allow for it.
I can't do it.
They came back again.
Okay, we'll change the filming schedule for you.
I was like, okay, something.
I was like, it's going to be too much.
I can't do it.
The third time I was like, oh, okay, you want me to start in a film.
Yeah, because you were doubting yourself.
Some of it was doubt?
Well, it was a little hesitation.
Right, it was a little hesitation.
You know what I'm saying?
You don't have to kiss somebody.
She wants somebody to touch somebody.
And so I talked to my husband about it.
He was all the way on board.
He was like, I know you've always wanted to do this.
Don't be whack.
Don't be whack.
I love that.
Don't be whack.
You know what I mean?
And so, um,
Yeah, the opportunity came.
And I'm like, wow, God, we did the premiere the other night.
And I just walked and seen my face on a flyer.
And it was just like, oh, it's so crazy.
I'm so grateful.
I'm just still floating it that the opportunity came and I was able to do it.
Yeah.
Because you thought that time, you know, your time had passed.
Yeah, I was like, it could go somewhere.
And now you're at the movie premiere of The Show Not Commit Adul Treat.
You're the leading star.
You see it.
You're there.
your husband is like supporting you.
He scored the film.
He scored the film.
So he had to watch all the scenes over and over again.
And when I was filming like on the days when it would be, you know,
a little touchy, touchy, I'd be like, baby, you're good.
He was like, I'm fine.
I know you, my wife and you're coming back home to me.
I was like, absolutely.
So, you know, it was great.
And we just celebrated 25 years.
I was going to say congratulations on 25 years.
I saw the article with people.
Listen.
Oh, man.
Really big as you should.
Yeah, 25 years is a.
big deal.
Quarter of a century to be in love with this man,
to do life with this man.
Music in the world that we've been able to do.
With, you know, sometimes our music is changing the world
and touching people's lives and we like this, you know what I'm saying?
But we stayed and we stuck it out and realized that we're on the same team, you know?
Love that.
And so, I know, right?
Yeah, I wanted the world.
I wanted, I wanted people to see it.
I'm not afraid of them singing.
I know some people like, oh, if people see it, they're going to mess up.
It is already messed up if somebody's eyes on you change the way you feel about your.
We just, me and my wife just celebrated 25.
Congratulations.
25, May 13th.
Nice.
That's a whole person with somebody.
Like, how does that, like, you talked about, you realize y'all on the same team, that's a lot of work.
A lot of, like, y'all changed over the years, yes.
It's a lot of wonderfulness, a lot of laughter, a lot of fun.
Legacy, a lot of things with conquered.
A lot of babies.
A lot of safety.
A lot of babies.
You know.
Yeah, all of that.
That's my person.
It's my, you know.
And you still just light up when she said 25 years later,
and she's glowing with things talking about it.
He gave me in the ring and everything.
You said y'all were remarrying.
Or like re-committing, vile renewal.
Recommitting, re-dedicating ourselves to each other,
just saying it out loud in front of the world that we made it 25 years.
And we have, I kind of filmed it, very documentary style.
But what we partnered with was my first wedding was on the wedding story.
So we were able to mirror how, you know,
was on first one and then where we are now and the words that we said to each other and the things
that we wanted and we're here and it is a it is a blessing and we don't see that you know we see the bad
we see the ugly we see people speculate and skepticism and not believing in love but i believe that love is
powerful i actually had a song called do you believe in love and the power that it gives it really does
make you feel like a superhero when i walk out in the world knowing that i am loved without question
without accomplishment if i was just erika singing at church i would still be loved
And I just, I don't know, that just fuels me.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I want to share it with as many people as I can.
Now, 600 guests at the renewal.
People exclusive.
You shot it as a documentary, but you were also documenting online.
Like, you were trying to find your dress at one point or whatever.
And I saw you posted one of the videos talking about the 25 years in a celebration.
It was at the same time that your sister Tina announced her, or TMT announced the divorce between her and her husband.
And people were like, whoa, the time it was off.
Like, they tried to rain on the parade a bit.
How was it going through that internally?
I wouldn't think about them people.
No, that's right.
I can't explain it to you.
If you choose to see somebody celebrating love and you say, hey, love, be quiet.
Right.
Because this is happening.
What?
No.
And she wasn't like that.
And it was a surprise for y'all not us.
I mean, we didn't know the TMZ was going to get it.
Yeah.
Because they had in the story that TMZ did, the file and said that they were separated since June
2024.
So when I read that, I'm like, well, I didn't get them dates.
That's always funny.
Like, who?
When you pulled documents.
So when there's an online system.
When you pull the documents, it lists everything.
Like, where the money's going.
Like, you get all the things, right?
That's why.
When they were separated, how many kids?
Exactly.
But that's why some people try to file with, like, initials,
or a lot of celebrities who are trying to file, like, Friday, like, after a certain time
because they think outlets aren't watching the online system.
But, yeah, but when I saw that date, though, I'm like, well, maybe they've dealt with it.
Yeah, she is.
She comes from DMZ, actually.
Oh, yes.
I was like, well, maybe you guys have already kind of gotten to a good place with it behind the scenes,
because there was no argument about splitting of homes or nothing.
It seemed very amicable at that point,
even though we've seen her go through something.
So it was that, that y'all were in a good place behind the scenes.
Who mean, Tina?
No, not you and your sister, but like the family about the divorce
and just her moving forward.
Well, she said it wasn't news to them.
It was news to us.
So they probably were already fine.
But that's what I'm saying.
Y'all were in a good place about it.
When it hit for us, it was like, oh, my God.
And, you know, people were so attached to their marriage because of y'all show.
So I think people were more like,
Like, is she okay, is she okay?
And then boom, now we're celebrating you at that same time.
And we were like, kind of like, oh, where do we go?
But you know what's funny?
Nobody said why did he file knowing that Eric, but Eric and Warren is, you know what I mean?
Everything was, why would she?
No.
But that comes with the, that comes with the, like I said, that I know who I am and I know,
I know how the, the game that the enemy tries to play with me.
That was crazy.
A great moment, a big moment, I keep my head on a swivel, right?
Because he wants to steal my joy.
My joy is my superpower.
Because as you pointed out, he filed.
It wasn't heard that file.
Yes.
But people didn't grab that point, though.
Yeah.
Tina's fine.
You're all right.
With your sister, I was wondering.
How is it?
Is it easy to be?
Hey, I'm Tori Webster, and I host That Digital Take.
If you've ever wondered how the internet really works,
from influencer culture to digital marketing and pop culture,
this is your inside look.
Each week, I share what's actually working online.
The behind the scenes.
of building a career as a creator
and real conversations
with people shaping the industry.
Think of it like your big sister guide
to the digital world.
Follow that digital take on IHeart Radio
or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers,
and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news,
huge news?
We created our own podcast called,
Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But,
This one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas.
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows.
without Luca and Austin Reeves,
I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective
on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything
he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by,
like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the ball.
Like, you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Oh, yeah.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I love the sounds.
The buzzing from the stadium, the chanting from the fans, the announcers calling the place soccer, football.
It's home.
Why do I watch the World Cup?
That's like asking me, why do I breed?
I inherited that fandom from my mom.
I like watching it with my dad.
It's a connecting force.
From Futuro Studios, I'm Fernanda Chavari, and this is American Football,
a show about soccer culture in the U.S. and its underdog roots.
We go beyond the game to the people and the stories that make it great.
A soccer game is a festival.
It's not just a game.
It's your culture.
I took an elbow to my head, which cracked my skull.
It is an American game.
The Brazilians don't like hearing that, though.
Are they the only ones that don't like that?
Nobody likes that.
As we get ready for the Men's World Cup this summer,
listen to American Football as part of the My Cultura Podcast Network,
available on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
You're there for her, right?
During that time, because it's like two different emotions.
It's like, you're celebrating.
But you're celebrating, but you're...
Two different worlds.
She was picking on dresses with you.
Yeah, Tina's fine.
I don't know what kind of families and sisters people had.
Like, this is an interesting.
I'm an only child.
I don't think...
I don't think...
I'm not an only child.
Maybe y'all need to book Tina, because I...
Right.
Did you just curse?
The lady of God was over.
She said, maybe you'll need to book Tina because I...
Basically, like, she ain't got to leave her alone.
I'm Erica.
He loves it.
I don't think it's a thing of, like, y'all rivalry.
I think it's more so, like, people trying to figure out, like,
like emotionally was she okay
because we had seen her fight for their marriage
for so long but you know
I hear what you're saying and we should book Tina.
I got a sister sister question.
When we get in another Mary Mary album?
Now we're on Tina and Erica
do we have another Mary Mary album?
We don't have a day.
I've been saying it for a thousand years.
Yeah.
You know.
Yes.
We said yes.
Do we have a date?
No, we don't have a date.
No.
No.
We don't.
Have you started working at all or no?
Um, Warren did say he wanted us to get in
studio. It's the song that we have that I think is
crazy and amazing. And we're just
going to kind of, you know, refresh it.
Just because it's been sitting for so long, but it's
an amazing song. So yes, we do plan on doing
an album and touring and all
of that. We've been having conversations, but it's all
you know, I'm in the midst of all
of this right now. Yeah. Do you
plan to do more acting, more movies?
I hope so. Is it? Okay. Yeah,
I hope so. I hope that more opportunities
come and, hey, I'm open.
Yeah, because they send us a screener and you
You did really good
Thank you.
That's why I was like
Did she always want to act?
Yeah.
You know, sometimes
When somebody
I did all the mama plays
You know, I was in the stage plays
I did a few
Movies, a few things out there
Small parts and stuff like that
So
But that's like the best theatrics are
They come from the church and the gospel
People that can do gospel mute
Yes, well
When you listen to a gospel song
The right one
Think about how many emotions it takes you through
When you're in church
And you're watching the pastor
That you really are being led by
Or like you know a word
Think of how many emotions
Like you guys have a gift of being able to make people feel and go through things.
So I see it like this.
If God is creator, everybody has a God hole in your soul that only God and the power of his music, the power of his word can feel.
It's like when you hear a song that touches you, that's not random.
That is something in your cells and your body wants to connect with the creator that created you.
And when it happens, it brings transformation.
it brings change, it brings enlightenment,
it opens you up to see
life in the world
through the eyes that I think God created us
to see it through, but
we see our pain, we see our problems, we see the
disappointment, and I think God is always
trying to get our attention so we can rise
higher, and I think that's what gospel music
helps us do, what the enemy does is
how can you say that to me, you messed up.
Exactly, I can tell you how God can fix you
because I messed up, you know.
So I can talk about the redemption, the grace, the love,
the power, the strength, the wisdom, and who he
is. But if I keep you confused, you keep your eye on the wrong person and you never realize
that that song was for you this day, this moment. I wrote this song a million years ago for you to
hear it today to help you through whatever you were going through. You know what I'm saying? God
is always trying to use us, whether you're making somebody laugh at a time that they were down
or whether you guys are revealing a story that somebody needed to hear to give them hope.
We all have a God assignment, whether you realize you worked on for him or not. You know what I
mean? What's the message you want people to get out of this, this movie?
be honest, be open and recognize that it's easy for everybody to fall, right?
What do you do after you fall?
The thing I love about this movie the most is the redemption, that she gets honest and vulnerable.
And she doesn't try to tell the truth in a secret way.
She's out loud.
I messed up.
And I shouldn't have.
And I repent and I apologize.
And when you learn to repent and apologize, your sin can't hold you hostage.
Right?
And I think that's why people tell their story.
Like, I don't want to be in mental anguish.
because, you know what I mean, I dealt with it in quiet
every distance. I don't want nobody to find out.
So if they find out, so what?
Yeah. Get free.
You know what I mean? But pay attention to those small things.
Pay attention.
It's the scripture says it's the little foxes that destroy the vines.
It's not always an axe. It's not always a fire.
It's something really small.
There's a book that partners with this called The Silent League
written by one of the producers, Dr. Holly Carter.
And it's the small things, how the air just seeps out of your relationship
and you can ignore it and not pay attention.
And so I want people to pay attention to the silent leaks,
pay attention to your relationship, you know,
to the things that you rationalize and make okay.
And then I want them to laugh and smile
and being entertained a little bit
and be a little uncomfortable
at seeing me in these positions that they see me.
You know.
Was there anything that ever in your life
that you had to get off your chest like that
to understand what you had to go through?
Is there anything that was ever holding you back?
Yeah, asking why.
Why? Why did this happen? Why did that happen? Why? And you get held hostage to the why.
You ain't living because sometimes you find out why and it still don't make sense.
Yeah. You know what I mean? Like it's the, it's the deception of, I need closure.
And when they tell you why they did it and it still don't make you feel no better. And then I just,
it's like now what? Okay, now what? Now I'm still stuck. I have to make the decision to forgive or get over it.
You know, sometimes you're expecting people to heal a version of you that doesn't exist anymore.
And you literally are a whole different person and you keep looking,
back and why but why but why sometimes you won't know why do you think people it's funny you
today do you think people need closure i think they need to from the other person from the other person
yeah it can help but it's not the whole picture it won't give you what you think it will right
you have to come you have to come to grips with it and be okay in your own soul or you'll ask them
why every five seconds it's like somebody they forgave they spouse but anytime anything comes up
are you did you is that you know what i mean it's like who wants to live like that you know
just accept that people are human
and you know
sometimes just feels like hope for the best
but I believe in declaring God's truth
over my life so I don't hope for the best
I declare what God said if he said I'm healed
whole and complete than I am
if he said I'm free then I am
if he said he'll supply my needs according to his riches
and glory then I don't have to worry about losing my money
my status or anything else because if he gave it to me
if I lose it he going to give it back or if I don't
I'm still going to be okay if I'm following
and seeking after him trust in the Lord
So with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding,
but in all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will direct your path.
He'll direct my stops and my starts, my yeses and my nose.
He'll direct all of it.
So I'm just, I'm not just out of trust in God.
I love that.
Real quick, I just want to say this.
I actually lived in L.A. for like two years, right?
And I went to your church.
I remember you came.
You saw me in there.
I did, girl.
And I never got to say it to you.
Was she late?
I was a little bit.
I was.
A little bit.
I was.
But I had a son.
Okay.
And that's why.
You got a blue suit on because everybody was like, is she in church?
Right, right.
And I was like, I was like, I leave my alone.
I was like, starstruck at the same time I'm looking at Tina and Erica.
And I'm like, I grew up listening to these women.
And I just cannot believe.
But I never got to express to y'all and to tell y'all my full favorite songs, right?
This is between two albums, Still My Child and I.
And then.
Oh, you listen, listen.
Absolutely.
Like, because it's the harmony.
Sometimes I can't even tell y'all apart,
but yesterday, weighed in the water.
Because, you know, that's like black Negro spirit.
But your boy, delight.
I was like, okay.
And, oh, my God, it was one more.
But, all right, real quick,
what I wanted to ask about Ann Die, right?
Was that a sample?
Was that a sample, did you all sample, like, the melody that and I,
was that from Sierra?
Or did the Sierra probably get that from y'all?
I don't know the Sierra song.
Okay, well, then she probably got it from y'all.
I don't know.
Yeah, that's right, because that was 2005.
That child came out with that.
Okay.
Yeah.
Third record?
But I'm a third record, I think, yeah.
Yes, I'm a real merry, merry connoisseur.
Oh, thank you.
So that's why I'm like, she's coming here.
I know she here for the movie, but I want to see if we're going to get some more music.
Oh, yeah, you can't do more music.
The ministry is everything.
Yeah.
Hearing your voices, y'all really, really feel, like, y'all feel what y'all talking about.
For sure.
I love it.
Yeah.
You know, when you grow up with nothing, like for real nothing,
yeah.
Move 15 times, welfare, well, kids.
little car, mom and dad married and divorced each other three times,
you've been through something.
And to know that even through all of that,
God could still keep us.
God can still bless us.
That's all I want people to know
that you really can make it through your stuff.
And so whether it is in the morning you'll be all right
or I just can't give up now.
Oh my God, I'm crying so much when I was thinking.
You know what I'm saying?
That's what I'm talking about.
They can sing but them girls minister.
Yes, but the feelings that try to vote.
And sometimes you don't realize that's what you're doing.
And I think for a lot of years, me and Tina didn't realize
that's what we were doing, literally helping people think you just singing.
You go, oh, my God, we ministers.
Like, I need this.
I remember I was here.
I was in Brooklyn going to some store and this dude, I thought he was hitting on me.
He was like, hey, yo, you're from that group.
I was like, yeah, thinking, you know.
Right, right.
And he said, yo, I know you're doing your solo thing.
He was like, but the streets need Mary, Mary.
Yes.
He was like in a different kind of way.
So, you know, it's whenever y'all ready, we're ready for y'all.
It was such a beautiful compliment.
And so I always love New York.
Hey, yo, thank you.
Right.
Right, right.
You know, light skin.
Right.
One dude hollered at me.
He was like, yo, Mary, married him ain't no gospel jeans.
You got on sister.
What?
I said, where you buy the gospel jeans, brother?
He was like, my bad, you look nice, you know?
But everybody feels y'all.
You know what I'm saying?
Even him, even him saying, yo, yo, like he receives that ministry as well.
Yeah.
So we definitely need y'all.
So after you say cut, go get in the studio.
Yes, ma'am.
Yes, man.
One last question.
I know.
What advice do you have for couples who may be struggling with temptation or cheating?
What advice would you give those couples?
You got to have some real conversations.
You got to be willing to be vulnerable.
You know, sometimes we are not fearless enough to say, hey, I need more of you.
I need more conversation.
I know, you know, for the dudes.
I know you're paying the rent and all of that, but I want to talk to you.
You know, I know you're taking the kids and sometimes women can get real consumed with the life of the house or the life of the marriage and you don't, you know, pay attention.
and just pay attention to one another.
Do love check-ins.
How are your heart feeling?
We good?
Do you feel this love?
You know what I mean?
I literally asked my husband before we left.
Even though we celebrated, I was like, we good, babe.
He was like, here you go.
He was like, you're busy, I'm busy, but we're in here.
We locked in.
I would tell them to just check on one another.
Check on your heart, you know?
Am I your safe place?
Is it okay for you to fall apart here?
You don't have to put on and pretend for me.
If it's not working for you, say it's not working for you.
Just be honest.
And bring God in the middle of it.
Pray together.
Yeah.
Pray in the morning. What's your prayer over your family?
What's your prayer over your family legacy?
What are you declaring? By that I mean, what are you speaking?
By that I mean you're going to speak over.
You know, you're going to have that.
That doesn't mean.
walk away.
Who you were,
who you are when you first get married is not
who you are at year 10 or 25.
So you have to embrace the different seasons
of who you become.
You changed. You should.
After 15, 20 years, you know.
Yeah, just take
some time. You can't
ensure five to 10 years of a good marriage
and you just started dating. I think a lot of people
so desperately want to
avoid any pain or any issue
until they never get the beauty of
experiencing all that love can be.
right.
First of all,
I'm fine to go
to her like that.
I'm fine.
I'm fine we're going through
this time around
because I'm grown.
I'm fine we're going
through all the real things
to make sure that this is
where it needs to be
before we do the things
we're going to do later on.
Especially you're talking
by having kids with somebody.
I need to be,
I need to be solid.
So I'm good.
And we're good over here.
Don't worry about nothing.
We do our check-ins,
babe, you good,
you good with you.
Yeah, we do all that.
We do all that.
We do all that.
It would speak to me.
Oh, girl, that speak to me.
Sing, jazz.
Come one.
I do not know.
Y'all need to listen to my mind, Mary.
I'm sorry.
For real.
It's all good.
Thou shall not commit adultery comes out this Saturday on Lifetime.
And we just ask, can you close us out with a prayer?
Please, we appreciate you joining us.
Absolutely.
Lord, I thank you and I praise you for this day, for your goodness, for your mercy, for your grace, Lord Jesus.
I thank you, Lord, for each and every person in this room.
You know where they are.
You know what they need.
You know the questions that they ask.
You know the things that are on the inside that hurt them, Lord.
I ask that you bring peace.
that you bring answers, God, that you give them the strength to stand,
the strength to fight, the strength to hold on to you,
to not be distracted and not be deceived.
I thank you, Lord, that your plans for us are much better than anything we could plan for ourselves.
So we seek you first.
We trust you.
I thank you, God, that you are the lover of our souls, just as we are.
Father, we don't have to clean ourselves up.
You do a much better job than we ever could.
We don't have to fight our own battles.
God, you fight way better than me.
So we put every issue in your hand.
Lord, bless them, cover them, keep them in the center of your will,
in the palm of your hand.
Cover them with your blood.
keep their minds safe, their money safe, their family safe, their children, their relationships,
their parents, Lord, you are concerned about everything concerning them.
Now, Satan, I serve you, notice.
You have no place, power or authority.
You will not steal what God has for them in the name of Jesus.
We send you back to the pit in every demon you brought with you.
Lord, cover them, Lord, let your angels cover and protect them and keep them safe.
Even bless this show, bless the work that they do.
Bless the guests that they have.
As they come in this room, let them feel you.
In Jesus' name, I pray.
Thank God.
Amen.
When I get up, can you pour over this seat?
Because it's somebody that sit here, and I think he is definitely a demon.
Just pray over.
It's Erica Campbell.
