Starting point is 00:00:00 Wake that ass up in the morning. The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Jess Hilarious, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We got some special guests in the building. From Keeping Up With The Sports Podcast, we have Zach Hirsch and Lamar Odom. Welcome. What's up, my man? How y'all feeling? Hey, chilling, bro. Good? Before we get started, I gotta ask my Queens native over there, I'm sure you grew up,
Starting point is 00:00:27 did you grow up a Knicks fan? Facts. How did you feel like, we was almost there, the Knicks lost of course a couple days ago, but we were almost there. Lamar don't believe they was almost there. What do you mean almost there? Almost where?
Starting point is 00:00:42 They was. The team was beat up. It's hard for me to watch the Knicks. A lot of these offenses really, like, they depend on one dude. That was going to run out anyway, playing against Boston or somebody that's a little better. What do the Knicks need? I think a scoring big man.
Starting point is 00:01:00 A big man that can put it in the basket. So Devin Booker, Paul George, nah, you're not, because that's what the rumors are. The rumor mill says those two. Nah, you need a rebounder, defender, scoring big man. No Randall, though. You're not. Because Randall's injured.
Starting point is 00:01:14 I mean, he will help, but, you know, I want some length, like 6'11", 7'4". Pause, pause. Rebound, pause. That was crazy. What do you think they need, Zach? Because you're a sports guy. Yeah, I think they need to scale back the minutes for their players.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Seems like the whole team is falling apart. OG was hurt. Josh Hart was hurt. I like their core. I would be trying to get LeBron. I would do full-court press on that. Really? Yeah, LeBron.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Yeah, they was talking about LeBron. His dream was to play Masswear garden growing up. I think he would really help. Yeah. Do you want to leave LA to come play in New York though? Get your money? I mean, he's rich as hell, but damn. Taxes are crazy here. That's true. I think they'd win a ring. With LeBron? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:58 And Bronny? Bronny's coming, baby. It's a package deal. It's a package deal. Pause. Shout out to Bronny. Oh, he did say that. Pause. First of all, who are you, Zach? Because we know Lamar Odom, of course, and Taylor Jenner,
Starting point is 00:02:11 but how did you get involved in all of this? Well, the first person that stamped me was Jadakiss. We did Kiss and the Miss with Worldstar, and then I did Pac and Zach with Pac-Man Jones. And a crazy guy named Steve Marcano that we all know had the idea to put the three of us together. So it's an honor to work with two Olympians. That's what's good.
Starting point is 00:02:32 And then the name of it, Keeping Up, did y'all get the whole Keeping Up thing? No, that wasn't my idea. I thought that was kind of corny, but I can see why they thought of that. They don't have me and Kaelin on the show. Okay. of corny but okay I could see why they thought of that yeah okay and you know given the relationship the past relationship with Chloe usually you know when you break out with somebody the family you break up with the family to yeah I mean you know that relationship still happened you know between you and
Starting point is 00:03:01 Caitlin well it happened because of because of the show this is my first time really even being around caitlin okay since uh me and chloe got divorced did you even know caitlin or did you know bruce i knew both okay okay but when i before the coma before i was in a coma yeah it was he was bruce but then i woke up out of the coma. It was Caitlyn. I know. You was like, what the fuck? I had to catch him on fast. I had to catch him on fast. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. I saw the Kardashians gave their blessing for this podcast, too.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Like, why did you need their blessing? I mean, I didn't need their blessing. Okay. But I'm pretty sure Bruce, you know what I'm saying, wanted to make sure everything was cool and everybody was all right with it. Oh, so you still call him Bruce? Sometimes I get, you know what I mean? Does Wanted to make sure everything was cool and everybody was all right with it. Oh, so you still call him Bruce? Sometimes I get, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:03:49 And is she offended about that? I don't think he gets offended by it. I think he probably would understand why people, you know what I'm saying, get mixed up. How come she don't never do no press with y'all? Nah, she does. She ain't been on this one. Yeah, we're doing press tomorrow. She's going to be here. You almost be doing Fox News then. She ain't been on this one. Yeah, we're doing press tomorrow. She's gonna be here.
Starting point is 00:04:06 You almost be doing Fox News then. She don't want to. CBS. Okay. She ain't want to come to breakfast. Now Lamar, I seen you on a press run, but I seen some of the press outlets that you've been to were very critical of you in the past. So how was that?
Starting point is 00:04:22 Because, you know, I've seen you doing a bunch of press, but how do you do a lot of those interviews when a lot of people were critical for you? The past is the past so so how was that because you know it's I've seen you doing you doing a bunch of press but mm-hmm how do you do a lot of those interviews when a lot of people were critical for the past is the past I don't really know these people I don't know how no no have no harbinger hard feelings so and this is business I'm saying so let's put that to the side it's nothing mm-hmm how long did it take you to get basketball out your system, Lamar? Well, since I've been retired?
Starting point is 00:04:51 I mean, I don't think it's really ever going to be out of my system. You still feel like you can play right now? I've been in the back of my mind, you know what I'm saying? But I know that's not true. I have to get in incredible shape, you know what I mean? Be better than I was before. I mean, I always watch it. I watch women's basketball, college basketball, high school basketball.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Anytime I get to watch basketball, I'm peeping. I thought there was a rumor one time that you were gonna do the big three. You did do it. Yeah, I did do it. My back gave out. Okay. I wasn't ready for it.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Oh, so you definitely not, you can't get back in there. Nah, I don't know. Oh, he said that. I said that, and subconsciously I'm watching, you know what I'm saying? But I know, so you definitely not, you can't get back. No, I don't know. Oh, he said that. I said that. Subconsciously, I'm watching, you know what I'm saying? But I know if I go to make a move, I wouldn't even, you know, my mind would be saying move left, my body breaking down, going right. Do you got to replace that itch with something else?
Starting point is 00:05:38 Like, is there something that, like, you've been doing basketball your whole life. Yeah, I mean, well, I'm working on a relationship with my kids. This is the first time I live with my kids in and yes my daughter's 25 and my son is 22 you know so they take a lot of my time i was gonna ask did basketball take away a lot of your life and meaning not just yeah it came from a star from high school from elementary well not elementary school but mid-school you was a star from there and you just never looked back no i never did you know in that and you know bad habits i missed a lot of time with my children that i'm getting back now you want more kids congrats on seven it was seven years of sobriety though? Nah, I ain't get high since what, 2015?
Starting point is 00:06:27 Since the accident. Yeah, that's what, seven? How long is that? Nine. Nine years. Almost a decade. Is it difficult? Nah.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Nah, almost gonna try to kill me, man. You getting high. Life is too precious, too important to me. Do you cut everything out, or just the substances that almost killed you? Well, I mean, I don't sniff coke. I believe in marijuana. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:54 You know what I mean? But that's about it. I don't really drink nothing like that. So when people say marijuana's a gateway drug to other stuff, do you believe that? Like when you- I mean, well, I would, for me, marijuana helped me kick a lot of
Starting point is 00:07:06 that other bullshit you know i'm saying for me everybody got their own path they go through when it comes to drug you feel like but a lot of people say that that when they're dealing with it they reach out to you or you reach out to them to help them get on the road of recovery why is that so important to you i want to see people live their best lives. I don't want to see people dying out here and shit like that. It's crazy out here. You know that. How can you do a podcast every week Lamar?
Starting point is 00:07:31 You seem like you don't really want to talk much. No, I'm a little tired. I hung out last night. And I just came from doing a Chef Ramsay show with my children, so I'm a little beat. But I'm good, i'm keeping up beat i wanted to come in y'all for y'all hard work y'all up here every day six in the morning do you find yourself having to keep everybody's energy up zach a little bit i like to i'm like
Starting point is 00:07:53 the maestro you know what is the you know i don't like to talk either what is the uh the the top the topics about like is it y'all keeping sports or sports or how deep did it go with your life? They just kind of just go into like life. Like just conversation. Yeah, like everybody that we had on the show so far seems like the show's been like therapeutic. Yeah, especially for Amber Rose, I see like. Yeah, Amber Rose was on there and you know,
Starting point is 00:08:19 Sugar Ray was on the show and he was telling a story about how he was touched by I guess one of his coaches or something like that. Word of the show. Word of the show. Yeah, everybody, and then Kaitlyn been through a lot. I don't know who in the world got more stories than her. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:08:34 Kaitlyn was drafted in the NBA. A lot of y'all probably didn't know that. I didn't know that. You know what I'm saying? WNBA or the? What the hell? What the hell? What the hell?
Starting point is 00:08:42 No, I'm not. Nah, the NBA, Bruce Jenner was drafted in the NBA. What year was drafted in I think 1979 you did you know that before you told you nah what team nah I think the Sacramento I don't think it was the Kings Sacramento Royals yeah I mean he can't obviously ain't play basketball it was at that time, that point, they had a lot more rounds in the draft. And at that time, they were just picking the best athlete. I think that's around the same time Bullet Bob Hayes got drafted with the Cowboys
Starting point is 00:09:16 and people were just trying shit. You know what I mean? Like just drafting Olympians. I don't remember that either. Bullet Bob Hayes was a track guy. The Cowboys drafted him and ended up being an amazing football player. Is that your championship ring you're wearing?
Starting point is 00:09:28 Yeah, both of them. I've never seen anybody wear their rings out. Why do you wear yours? I love them. Yeah, I love them, bro. And you should. I don't know why people don't wear them. I mean, it depends.
Starting point is 00:09:38 I probably wouldn't wear them if I had two. I don't think I would wear three or four in my hand. Did the good brother, Kobe Bryant, still come to you in your dreams? I remember I saw you say that and I thought that was- Nah, he did, he was. When I was on the, what show was that I was on? Big Brother.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Yeah. Where I did like 30 days there, and I had like five, six Kobe Bryant dreams. Five or six? Yeah. Wow. In 30 days, right? I had like five, six Kobe Bryant dreams. 5 or 6? Yeah. Wow. In 30 days, right?
Starting point is 00:10:08 I don't know, I'm a spiritual dude. And Big Brother was hard. Like mentally. There was a couple of times I wanted to quit. Maybe he was just coming to me to push me through. You know what I'm saying? Were all of them different? Were all the dreams different?
Starting point is 00:10:28 Yeah. The last one that I remember the most, we was having a three-point shooting contest. And Kobe was really specific with his footwork. So I would kind of follow follow him like every step. Corner, the wing, top of the key. And then we got to the left corner. Before he shot,
Starting point is 00:10:57 he just turned around. He was like, hello. The afterlife ain't everything what people make it up to be. And I just kind of like woke up. Like, shit's up. I ain't know what people make it up to be. Then I just kinda like woke up. I ain't know what he meant by that at all. It could mean a lot of things. So y'all hadn't spoken the dream up until that moment
Starting point is 00:11:14 he said something to you. Yeah, we was just shooting. What were the other dreams about, if you don't mind me asking? I can't really remember. You know how dreams work. You know, I wanted to ask too, with Rudy Gobert, people were pissed off at him because he missed a playoff game to go see the birth of his child.
Starting point is 00:11:30 What were your thoughts on that? And would you do the same? I don't know. That's a tough position to be in. I probably was his first child. Yep. I don't know. I probably would see what my team,
Starting point is 00:11:42 how my team would feel about it. Not the wife, just the team. Yeah. You know what I mean? But I mean, that's a tough one. Yeah. That's a tough one. Is it really though? Yeah, I mean.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Well, see I'm not with a basketball player. Yeah, during the playoffs. I'm not a basketball player, so. Yeah, that's tough. Mindset is different. It is different. During the playoffs, I really couldn't see anything but my child, you know what I'm saying, taking me away from that.
Starting point is 00:12:08 But y'all know every year when the playoffs is going to happen, so it's like I think pregnancies and stuff like that should be planned better. You know what I mean? Especially if you – I mean, nobody know if they're going to make it to the playoffs or whatever, but if you're a star like that and you – I mean, how you going to plan for your wife? How you going to plan? mean i guess but like you know i'm a you know i'm a basketball player you know this shit gonna happen every year around the same time like we we gotta plan better i ain't i mean i ain't saying use condoms but i ain't saying not to need one
Starting point is 00:12:40 let's wait before we have sex because we got the playoffs coming up in eight months. We're smart, I guess. You know what I'm saying? Just pull out. You know, wear a condom. Yeah, something.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Something. These things, you know, it takes nine months to have a baby and they can come. They come when they want and at any time around the playoffs
Starting point is 00:13:00 it's just like, yeah, let's plan this responsibly. I'm trying to think about it. I don't know if you would really. My state of a basketball player is different because your whole life has been sacrificed for basketball. That's a fact. All athletes.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Most of them. What do you think, Zach? I agree with Jess. I would plan it. He's Jewish. I'm Jewish, yeah. Maybe I can think ahead. He said it like, yeah, they plan it. Yeah, they plan it. He's Jewish. I'm Jewish, yeah. Maybe I think I had it. Instead of like, yeah, they playing.
Starting point is 00:13:28 I'm playing ahead. What do y'all think about Bronny coming to the league? You think Bronny's ready? And do you think a team should grab Bronny to hopefully, possibly get LeBron? I seen him play a lot. I don't know if he's ready for the NBA to be an impact player in the NBA. I think if you gave him a couple of years, he could, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:45 perfect his ball handling and his shot. And of course, he got the athleticism passed down on him, you know what I'm saying? But I think he needs a little bit. And what do you think?
Starting point is 00:13:55 You think a team should grab him in the hopes of getting... Yeah, yeah. In hopes of getting his pops? Oh yeah, that's a different story now. Yeah. You feel me?
Starting point is 00:14:02 It's a weak draft class too. I would take him just if I think I got a chance to get his now. Yeah. You feel me? It's a weak draft class too. I would take him just if I think I got a chance to get in his pops. Yeah. And Bron a phrase in this year, right?
Starting point is 00:14:10 Yeah. I think so. Yeah. Bron said he's playing with his son, so. I think so. I wouldn't, if I'm the Hornets,
Starting point is 00:14:18 I'm not picking him. LeBron's in a gum, but. If you're a championship contender. Yeah, Knicks. Yeah. The Knicks. He's pushing for the Knicks.
Starting point is 00:14:25 What do you think about Giannis' brother? Because that's been the talk of the league as well. Giannis' brother playing with Giannis on the Bucs, and they're saying that. I mean, well, he's just not as good. But you're comparing him to Giannis Alamotuka, who's like top four, top five, maybe some people's ever. I think that's an unfair comparison. What do you think, Zach? The memes are funny. Aren't they? Yeah, yeah. Yeah think that's an unfair comparison. What do you think, Zach?
Starting point is 00:14:45 The memes are funny. Aren't they? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, they're funny. He's definitely in the league because of Giannis, but Giannis should do that,
Starting point is 00:14:52 put his brother on. I think he got him to deal with Nike too, so he's just a good brother. Yeah. I didn't know that. Yeah, I didn't know that. What don't you know?
Starting point is 00:15:01 The Thanasis signature. No, he doesn't have a signature, but I think he's signed, yeah. Now, is the podcast only going to be about sports? Because, you know, people want to Thanasish signature. Now he doesn't have a signature, but I think he's signed, yeah. Now is the podcast only gonna be about sports? Cause you know people wanna hear Kardashian's story. Nah, we ain't getting none of that. We ain't getting none of that. We ain't getting none of that.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Nothing. We ain't getting none of that. We ain't getting none of that. So just all sports? The only clickbait we giving you is the damn name. That's it. That's it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:19 You know what I mean? It's a good, clean, uplifting show. Trying to like all these other podcasts, like blacks bashing blacks. I'm not into that. You know what I mean? What changed Lamar? Because Lamar calmed down a lot. Almost lost my life.
Starting point is 00:15:37 And a night where I didn't do drugs. So, you know what I mean? Make you see things from a different perspective. Yeah. And you realize what's more important. My life. It was a car crash, right? Nah.
Starting point is 00:15:49 Oh, when you OD'd? Yeah, when I was OD'd. Oh, okay, okay, got you, got you, got you. You feel me? Do you remember everything before that, or was it like a blur because you- No, I remember everything before that. I remember sitting down and about to pick the girls out, put the drink down,
Starting point is 00:16:12 woke up three days later on ASP and all that shit. Damn. He was like this just- 12 strokes, six heart attacks too. Jesus. Jesus Christ. Couldn't walk or talk when I woke up. But that's how you know you're here for a bigger reason? So what about the car crash? When you, how'd you- Car crash, what car crash? I thought you had Mm-hmm. But that's how you know you're here for a bigger reason? So what about the car crash? When you, how'd you?
Starting point is 00:16:27 Car crash, what car crash? I thought you had a car crash. Nah. Just making stuff up? I thought that was like. No. Oh. That was Kevin Hart.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Mm. You remember when you was gonna beat Charlamagne's ass? You remember? Not Kevin Hart. You don't even remember? I don't. No, you called me one day and was like, yo Envy, what's up?
Starting point is 00:16:45 And he was like, yo, we from Queens. But tell Charlemagne I'm going to beat his ass. Why was you on my back about Charlemagne? I don't even remember now. I don't. The car crashed. But it's crazy because. I don't know what that was, the car, but it said.
Starting point is 00:16:56 It's crazy, though, because. So you hit two parked cars. Okay. I did. I did. I did. You remember. Okay. But I was coming home one did. I did. You remember, okay. But I was coming home one night,
Starting point is 00:17:07 tried to pick the phone up. But I told him I called that night too. Mercedes Benz, yeah. Yeah, had a nice whip. For real. Were you really, really hurt from that one? Nah. Okay. Nah, I wasn't in my hurt.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Yeah. I was cool. But you was the same way, like the same way he is now. He was the same way at my comedy show. Like was cool. But you was the same way, like the same way he is now. He was the same way at my comedy show. Like he came, I think I was in Ohio. This is when you was with your ex-ex.
Starting point is 00:17:31 This was Sabrina Parr. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he came, he was the same way. And I was like, damn, am I funny? Or is this nigga not laughing? This is the only person that he would like chuckle, but it would be right back serious. Sabrina was cracking up. Everybody was cracking up. But he was still serious. I laugh and this is the only person that he would like chuckle but like it would be right back
Starting point is 00:17:45 serious Sabrina was cracking up everybody was cracking up but he was still serious and then I had a game that I used to play with my fans I would act like
Starting point is 00:17:52 I'm giving away money and he came up he was so chill it was just like I'm like the same exact way I'm always cool with Max dude
Starting point is 00:17:59 that's how you are you know what I mean do you remember that Lamar yeah he remember yeah I, he remember. Yeah, I remember. He remember coming to my show. Don't play with me like that.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Did y'all watch the fight over the weekend? Y'all get into the fight? Oh man, yeah. I was at a party at Jamie Foxx's house. I stepped away, watched it for an hour. At the Fury and U6? Yeah, Tyson Fury and U6. That was a nice little flex.
Starting point is 00:18:22 You was at Jamie Foxx's house? Yeah, we were at a little event and I just stepped away for like an hour. Just watched on my phone how's he doing how's jamie doing oh beautiful yeah nice guy he lost yeah close fight one point it was a decision yeah he almost knocked him out though no you six almost knocked sure yeah yeah yeah no fury was i thought the rough was gonna call that during that time. Because his hands weren't up. I thought The Ruff did a good job.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Do you get tired of answering questions about the Kardashians, Lamar? That was my life, bro. I don't get tired of talking about my life. But it feels like you was also part of the Laker dynasty. I feel like the Laker dynasty should come before the Kardashian dynasty. It depends on what you like. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:19:03 Some people love sports. Don't give a fuck about reality TV. Some people love reality TV, don't give a fuck about sports. And I could tell, when somebody approached me, I could tell where they stand and how they feel about that situation. What do you think, which one do you think
Starting point is 00:19:18 had more impact on you? That's a tough question it depends I would say Lakers though I would say Lakers because you don't get the opportunity probably even to be on
Starting point is 00:19:32 Kardashians if you're not a Laker well if I never met you know Khloe yeah who did y'all meet some club
Starting point is 00:19:39 I forgot the name of the club I didn't even know who she was and you know 30 days later I was married. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:47 At one point you had said that you regretted leaving Taraji for Khloe. Do you still feel that way? That I what? You regret leaving. I regretted the way I left. You regret the way? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Yeah. It wasn't like a man. Oh, you were with Taraji when you met Khloe? Yeah. Mm-hmm. You broke up with Taraji P. Henson for Khloe Kardashian? I mean... What was the reason?
Starting point is 00:20:10 It wasn't a reason. That's why I regret the way he did it. You think you got caught up in Hollywood, you think? Like you think you got caught up in the lights? What's caught up in Hollywood? I lived in Hollywood and I lived my life. I don't know what being caught up in... It's a different energy when you rolling
Starting point is 00:20:23 with the Kardashians, when you part of that. It's like an image energy when you rolling with the Kardashians. You part of that. It's like an image. I was rolling with the Lakers and the Kardashians. Damn. Big flex. Hello. Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Okay. On Sundays, the Lakers come on. Every Sunday, we play every Sunday. And then on Sundays, me and Khloe's show will come on. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I don't know if that's being caught up in Hollywood or just living the life.
Starting point is 00:20:49 From the outside looking in, you'd be like, damn, this motherfucker doing it. I mean, it was fun. What do you miss more, the NBA or Khloe Kardashian? Khloe Kardashian, I miss my wife more. Have y'all spoke since? You have a good relationship or? Nah, sometimes I go to her DM and say what's up.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Text her, hey big A. Yeah. Does she respond? Yeah, of course. Yeah. That's interesting. Do you believe in the Kardashian curse? No.
Starting point is 00:21:21 What's the curse? I don't know. I don't know either. That's what they always say. Yeah, I don't know either. Yeah? I don't know. That's what he always say. I don't know. I don't believe it. Yeah. I don't believe it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:29 Have you spoken to Taraji? Nah. No? Okay. I mean just as friends or whatever, like just to make amends. No. Okay. I wish I had though.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Yeah. You're not a stud, are you, Zach? First of all- It's been bothering me the whole interview. First of all, what does that mean? What is that? Yo, what is that? Can someone explain it and I can answer? Yeah, that's good bothering me the whole interview. First of all, what does that mean? What is that? Yo,
Starting point is 00:21:46 what is that? Can someone explain and I can answer? Yeah, that's good. The fuck is a stud? Oh my God. Because one of our producers
Starting point is 00:21:53 texted and asked that. He said, is Zach Hirsch a stud? What does that mean? It's been bothering me the whole time. That is a lesbian. A lesbian?
Starting point is 00:22:00 That's a lesbian. A lesbian. A butch lesbian. Whoa. What gave that impression? Yo. Now you just hurt that man's insecurity. A lesbian? That's a lesbian. A lesbian. A butch lesbian. Whoa. I'm gonna show you the... What gave that impression? Yo. Now you just hurt that man's insecurity.
Starting point is 00:22:09 He gonna be insecure the whole time. No, I'm not. So it's a different look. I don't know. I'm sitting there thinking like, is he? I mean, you're gorgeous. That's crazy. It could be because you're gorgeous, pretty, handsome, all, you know.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Oh, oh. No, I'm not a 200 pound dude. I don't know. I like girls. How do I answer that? I'm just asking. She put it in my head and it's been bothering me-pound dude. I don't know. I like girls. How do I answer that? I'm just asking.
Starting point is 00:22:29 She put it in my head and it's been bothering me. I don't know. Maybe she got me mixed up with Chaz Bono or something. I don't know. That's crazy. A fucking stud? He's like, I've heard a lot of things. I've never heard that. I did a show with J. Dickinson and Pac-Man.
Starting point is 00:22:39 I'm like, stud? Yo. Oh, my God. They would do that. They're not homophobic. They would do that. But, like, bro, I'm a 22-year-old straight male. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:49 You're 22? Yeah. Oh, shit. You're a fucking baby. Like a baby stud. Shout out to studs. I'm just not one of them. A baby stud.
Starting point is 00:22:55 By the way, I'm not trying to get. Yo, shout out to them. They're really dope. You're a baby stud. Oh my God. Fuck it. That's right. Maybe I am one.
Starting point is 00:23:04 What do you guys think of the NBA now? Today's NBA? Is it softer? I'm a baby study. Oh my God. Fuck it. That's why. Maybe I am one. What do you guys think of the NBA now? Today's NBA. You know, is it softer? I mean, it's changed. The rules changed. Is it a good thing or bad thing? It depends on what you like, right?
Starting point is 00:23:14 Some people like watching defense. Some people like watching offense. Me, I prefer both. You got some players that you can look at them and see they prefer both. Shot making is going up. Yeah, cause the defense is not there. And people are driving through the lane with you,
Starting point is 00:23:33 you gonna punch somebody in the face. Or punch somebody in the chest, they not gonna do it again. So there you go. It depends on your appetite for the game. Do you like to see that physical back in the game? Or do you think it's- No, I like, that's why I like playoff basketball the most.
Starting point is 00:23:44 Cause I think that's when it's the most physical. You know, you have to prove yourself. You got to use your teammates too because these coaches, you know, they're good enough to know how to contain one player. That's why I think the
Starting point is 00:23:59 triangle offense is like really missing from basketball. You had to use your team. Are coaches coaching now or is it one of the thing they just manage in time? Cause I don't really see coaching, I just. I don't really think they really coaching. Cause a coach,
Starting point is 00:24:22 it don't really stop when the buzz is down. You know what I'm saying? But I think the responsibilities of coaches probably change a little bit. I think coaches are like, they don't really get, they keep rehiring the same coaches for losing. I think that hurts the game. How do you feel about the WNBA?
Starting point is 00:24:53 I love it. I love the evolution of women's basketball. Yeah. We need women. Right. Um, but I've seen it cause I went to a Christ the King and they always were like ranked top five in the country
Starting point is 00:25:06 And women's basketball, so I've kind of seen it. Yeah, you know at an early age in high school Do you have a favorite right now? Who's the one girl from LSU Yeah, I like a hot how competitiveness address She remind me like a female Kevin Garnett. Oh, wow. How did you become like an authority in sports? Like what made all of these people say, you know what, I want to go talk to this young man about sports?
Starting point is 00:25:34 I've been doing this since I was like four or five years old. I went from SpongeBob to SportsCenter, and I started doing the sports picks when I was 10, and I won a football pool, a bunch of grown men, and the first people I worked with were Jake and Logan. I don't know. I think just being myself, being real, I think people connect to that.
Starting point is 00:25:51 What's your favorite sport? Football. Who's your team? Cowboys. Hey, alright. I like the Cowboys. I'd rather root for an Indian. Shout out to the Cowboys. I root for Indians. I root for them too.
Starting point is 00:26:06 I'm like, Cowboys. You know what I mean? I'm like, Cowboys. You were the rapper. In the Cowboys. In the Cowboys. That's what I said. Yeah. What's your team? Giants.
Starting point is 00:26:17 I like Baltimore, too. I'm a Giants fan. I like Baltimore, too. Who do you think is going to win the Super Bowl this year? Baltimore is going to win it. Which team got good, too, though? Who's that? Dolphins. Dolphins. They lost a lot of people. That was like eight starters. Who do you think is going to win the Super Bowl this year? Baltimore is going to win it. Which thing got good, too, though? Who's that? The offense. The offense.
Starting point is 00:26:26 They lost a lot of people. That was like eight starters. They got Odell Beckham. Oh, yeah. That'll win you a Super Bowl in 2024. Damn. You see that sarcasm over there? Right.
Starting point is 00:26:35 He's not lying. They need defense, too. They lost their offensive line, the defense. Yeah. Fuck it. Odell will fix it. Did they lose the offensive line? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:42 They lost Robert Hunt. You need an offensive line. Yeah, you definitely do. I think Kansas City should be favored for sure when you got that guy quarterback. Will your Cowboys ever win? No. Hell no. Not with this coach.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Not with this quarterback. You got to change a lot of things. Dak Prescott is the reason Cowboys lose? He's not winning. You're not going to pay Dak Prescott $45, $50 million a year and then win the Super Bowl. It's impossible You like the Cowboys too, Charlamagne? Huh?
Starting point is 00:27:08 He loves the Cowboys It's how I know you're not a stud Cause studs are way more optimistic than you Why wouldn't you be more optimistic, Zach? Every year Charlamagne said The Cowboys are gonna win And we just laugh it off It's my team
Starting point is 00:27:18 Yeah, I'm not optimistic at all this year They should've Tore the whole shit down I agree They should've traded Dak They should've gotten a whole shit down. I agree. They should've traded Dak. They should've gotten a young coach. Like,
Starting point is 00:27:27 you gotta rebuild around Micah and CD. You know, that's the future. I agree. I agree. And how can these people listen to the podcast?
Starting point is 00:27:35 How can they listen? It'll be out in two weeks, I think. Yeah, a couple weeks. How can they listen? Oh, it's not even out yet?

Starting point is 00:28:14 Christ. You are kinky. Oh, my God. No one else was even thinking that. No, not at all. Charlamagne just mind went. He was excited to see Kalenlin out of my eyes and then when caitlin didn't come this one he was a little depressed i guess yeah i wasn't depressed i just
