Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, it. Yes, sir. Well, happy Friday. And shout out to everybody from I Will Graduate.
I actually went to the I Will Graduate program.
You know, we had Tonya up here before who started that program
and had a chance to talk to the kids yesterday for I Will Graduate.
And then I had a birthday party.
You know I do birthday parties all month because it's January,
so you're allowed to celebrate your birthday all month.
So I was at Salsa Con Fuego last night.
Okay.
I feel like I don't go out to parties that much, especially in New York.
So it's been a minute, but it was packed, and it was a really good time.
Dope, dope, dope, dope, dope.
Shout out to I Will Graduate.
I actually, some of the proceeds from my car show,
I actually donate to I Will Graduate to make sure the students
have everything they need for high school and all that other good stuff
and stay in school.
What did I do yesterday?
You know what I did yesterday that I shouldn't do?
I got home at about 11.30 because I was working and went to the gym,
and then me and my wife got it in.
Getting up this morning was so tough, bro.
I'm not even going to lie.
No, that's because you're 40-plus years old, and I tell you all the time,
if you have sex after midnight and you're over 40,
it's going to be hard getting up in the morning, bro.
I've been telling y'all that.
Oh, man.
I mean, I thought I was—
Did you think about me?
Because I've said that to you before.
I've said that if you have sex after midnight and then, you know,
you try to get up in the morning, it's rough, especially when you're after 40.
You know, I did think about you this morning, right?
I know, I know.
Not during the sex part, but when I woke up this morning, I was like,
I could be a little late because Charlamagne's contract says
he doesn't have to be to work until 6.04.
So I was like, I could be to work until 6.04. So I was like,
I could be to work at 6.04 today.
And then I thought about it, and I'm like,
I ain't have Charlamagne's contract, so let me get my ass up
and get to work. I'm glad you know you don't have my contract.
I was like, let me get my ass to work. It's interesting
because maybe it's a guy thing, but I think when I have
sex at night, it actually gives me more energy in the morning
and I sleep better. Or maybe
the guy not putting it down. No, it's great
because I sleep so good after that.
Like, I go right to sleep.
Yeah, that's what makes it hard to get up.
But I think women don't have that leg issue.
It ain't about the leg.
It's when you're in that deep REM sleep and that deep REM sleep just takes you someplace.
That sounded crazy with you in that deep REM.
I said, what are you talking about?
You don't know what REM sleep is?
I know what it is, but I didn't hear the sleep at first.
Your whole body is just relaxed.
It's like, God damn,
I gotta get up at 420.
Man.
That's a good sleep for me.
Yeah,
I just wanted to lay in it.
But anyway,
good morning, guys.
Yes, lay in my wife.
What's wrong with you?
You never lay,
just lay in your wife?
You just said lay in it.
And I mean,
after sex,
I thought she was talking
about your own,
you know,
muscle milk.
I thought she was talking about it.
Is this Freaky, Freaky, Freaky Friday?
It is Freaky, Freaky, Freaky Friday.
My goodness.
God damn it.
Well, Jocelyn Hernandez will be joining us, the Puerto Rican princess.
Yes.
Jocelyn has like three shows out.
Yes, she does.
I missed that one.
Yeah.
When she came?
She came yesterday.
Okay, I wasn't here.
No, you had to get out of here.
But yeah, she came yesterday, so we talked about her new shows.
She's back on Love & Hip Hop.
She's on Love & Hip Hop Miami this time.
She's on Marriott's Boot Camp, and she has her own show,
her cabaret show on the Zeus Network.
Yeah, she had a man with her yesterday, too.
Her fiancé.
Her fiancé.
So we'll chop it up with him as well.
All right.
Let's get the show cracking.
Front page news, what are we talking about?
Well, we will be talking about a woman who is suing the church,
and that's because imagine if you went to church,
you made your confessions,
and then they went to the police and told them your confessions.
Did you know they could do that?
They can?
Mm-hmm.
I thought that was a safe place.
All right.
We'll talk about it.
Wow.
All right.
Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Let's get into a new joint.
It's iHeartRadio World Premiere.
It's Future.
It's Drake.
It's Life is Good.
I haven't heard this shit.
Me neither.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning. World Premiere. I was in the tub shit. Me neither. It's the Breakfast Club. Come on, we're open, man.
I was in the trap, serving cocaine,
ain't been the same since.
It's cool. I like that.
It's cool. It's not about nothing, though.
I like when the beat changes and all that.
Yeah, it sounds good, but it don't make me feel anything.
It's just a record about nothing. Like, when you get two talented
brothers like Drake and Future together, of course they can
make things that sound good, but what is the record about?
What are they saying? I would like more substance,
but clearly that's not what they're going for. Nah, they're just saying
life is good. It's just a vibe.
Morning, everybody. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get some
front page news.
Now, in football,
Saturday, of course, is playoff time.
The Vikings take on the 49ers at 4.30.
The Titans take on the Ravens at 8.15.
The Texans take on the Chiefs
at 3.05, and the Seahawks take on the Packers at 6.40. The Texans take on the Chiefs at 3-05.
And the Seahawks take on the Packers at 6-40.
Now, what else are we talking about, Yee?
Well, let's talk about something that happened in Oregon.
A woman is suing the church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That's for reporting her husband's confession to state authorities.
Christine Johnson said her husband confessed his sexual abuse to clergy.
That's required by church rules.
Then they did take that confession to state authority.
She filed this lawsuit and she wants $9.5 million.
That's for loss of income, emotional distress, and her family's loss of her husband's companionship.
This all started back in 2016.
Christine Johnson learned her husband, Timothy Johnson, engaged in inappropriate conduct with an underage girl.
In response to that, they then followed the rules and scriptures of the church
and they went and confessed those sins unto the brethren before the Lord.
But the church did not tell them that if he followed the guidance
and confessed his sins, they would report him to state authority.
So now he is serving 15 years in prison for abusing an underage girl
and she wants her money.
I don't see the problem.
What's the problem here?
What part of it? The man confessed to a crime.
Right. And so it's their duty
to turn him in, especially a heinous crime like that.
I thought the church was a safe place though. I thought
the church was the place where you can go and confess
about anything that you have and be comfortable
knowing that nobody else would know.
I never knew that. I never heard of a...
It could be. I'm not saying it's not, but I've never heard about
pastors or preachers having confidentiality like doctors per se. That's what I thought. I thought churches of a, I mean, it could be. I'm not saying it's not, but I've never heard about pastors or preachers having confidentiality like doctors, per se.
That's what I thought.
I thought churches and lawyers, I thought they could no matter what you told them.
Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I thought.
You see it in all the mob movies where they go and they talk to the priest and tell all those things.
Yeah, the priest probably goes to tell on them, but they probably get killed.
Or they probably don't tell on them because they're scared that the mob boss is going to kill them.
But just so you know what the law is, okay, because the reason she's suing is because they didn't tell her.
They didn't tell the couple that they would go to the police.
Not that he, you know, whatever.
But they said Oregon is one of 28 states that considers clergy among professionals mandated by law to report known or suspected instances of child abuse or neglect.
So there's 28 states.
That means if somebody comes to you and says they did something to a child, then they are mandated to go to the police.
I mean, I'm glad he got locked up.
Absolutely.
But I'm just, but, you know, you would think that.
I know.
I always thought that, too.
I always thought that you go there.
That was a safe place.
It's like going to a psychiatrist or a therapist.
They're not supposed to go to the authorities.
No.
I never heard that.
I never heard that going to the pastor was like that.
Well, I heard that all the time.
I heard it was confidential, but that don't mean that they can't go tell the law if you tell them about a was like that. Well, I heard that all the time. Confidential, but that don't mean that
they can't go tell the law if you tell
them about a crime you committed. Well, that's confidential. They can't tell
if that's confidential. That's two different
things. Having a confidentiality agreement as
far as being a doctor or being a psychiatrist or therapist
is different than saying, you know, Amy, I'm going to tell you something
in confidence. Well, I'm not a man of the
church. But I don't
know. I just never heard that before, is what I'm saying.
And I was always taught that if you can't obey the laws
of the land or government you live
under, then you can't obey the laws of God. So if you're gonna
go confess about a sin you committed, that's
an actual crime. If you're really looking
for repentance and forgiveness, then you gotta deal with the consequences
of that crime, right? Yep.
I mean, he's where he should be.
What are you gonna do?
Alright, well that's front page news.
Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you going to do? All right. Well, that's front page news. Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, hit us up right now.
Maybe you had a bad night, bad morning, or maybe you feel blessed.
All right?
Whatever it may be.
Phone lines are wide open.
800-585-1051.
Oh, did you know?
I just want to say something.
In the Catholic Church, priests are not allowed to reveal what they have learned during confession
to anyone, even under the threat of their own death or that of others.
See, that's what I thought.
But, you know, I went to Catholic school since I was in first grade
until I graduated high school.
If a priest breaks that secrecy, then they'll get excommunicated.
And that's exactly why a lot of the Catholic priests for years
was getting away with so much dirt,
because nobody wanted to tell on them either.
Right, but that's what we were told going to Catholic school.
I'm not Catholic, I'm Baptist, but that's what I've always been told.
So what happens if they violate that?
I don't know.
They get excommunicated.
But now they're saying
last year they're making
new laws to break
that seal of confidentiality.
Was it a Catholic church
that he did it with?
No, no, no.
This was the Church
of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints.
So what happens
when Catholic priests
violate a little boy's?
Do they get excommunicated
for that?
They absolutely should.
They go to jail. Yeah, absolutely.
Oh, okay.
All right, well, get it off your chest. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Is your country falling apart?

We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?
This is Sade from Detroit.
Hey, get it off your chest.
Oh, it's not really get it off your chest.
I'm blessed.
I'm blessed because next month I will have a one-year-old as my first and only daughter.
Well, enjoy it.
They grow so fast.
They get big so fast.
Enjoy every moment of it.
I will.
She's a blessing.
I'll be 30 this year and she'll be one this year.
So she's a blessing.
That's amazing.
So that means when you 40...
I also want to say
I love y'all so much.
Charlamagne,
I listen to you all the time.
If it wasn't for yo, yo, yo, yo,
I don't think these midnights would go.
Man, you're going to make me
start being on time
all the time now.
Well, we love you back.
You're going to be on time
because I'm never on time.
Hey, that's what I'm talking about.
I don't want to be on time, so I can't.
My goodness.
I can't y'all remote, too.
I am a man of the people, so I do what my people do.
Hello, who's this?
It's Taequann.
Good morning, y'all.
Taequann, what up?
Get it off your chest, bro.
Man, let me tell you something.
I got a message for Porta Party Guy.
Oh, man.
What do you got?
Porta Party Guy, stop playing with me.
Let me tell you.
I put a total emoji under his thing, but he's going to DM me something.
What the f*** is he DMing some gays?
Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen.
I want to know what he DMs you, though.
I can send it to you.
Matter of fact, I sent it to you.
I sent it to you, girl.
He sent me a voicemail.
He sent you a voicemail?
Yo, he's so hurt.
Yo, he got to let that hurt go in 2020, bro.
But porta party guy, listen. But, Porta Party guy, listen, grow up.
I'm 23.
You just didn't want to argue with 23-year-old your whole life.
That's right, man.
Trav bodied you.
Take your L and keep it moving, Porta Party guy.
Stop it.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, what's up, guys?
How you doing?
What's up, man?
Get off your chest.
Hey.
Hey.
It's Friday. It's Friday. Yo, show? Get off your chest. Hey. Hey. It's Friday.
It's Friday.
Yo, Charlamagne.
Yes, sir.
You know how, like, back in the day,
they did the self-destruction video?
Yep, yep.
I loved it.
Uh-huh.
You think we could see that again in this generation, Tom?
With, like, the artists that's out now that we listen to,
like Drake, Fuchsia, the old, you know, like,
I don't know if we could get that same vibe that we got back in the day, but do you think that's ever possible for us?
I think it's possible.
I think you got some rappers who are on that level of consciousness.
I think Kendrick could be on it.
J. Cole could be on it.
Rhapsody could be on it.
Yeah, I think there's some rappers out there with that level of consciousness.
Absolutely. You know, honestly, I think something's some rappers out there with that level of consciousness. Absolutely.
You know, honestly, I think something like that should be done in regards to, like, opioids.
Drug use.
You know what I mean?
I think that would be dope.
It would be good for them to make, like, some type of Just Say No record.
I mean, it might come off corny, but who knows?
I don't know.
You know, you got the contract.
You know, make something work.
Mm-mm.
What's that?
He said we should put that together.
I should put that together.
You know, I ain't go front, man.
I got a lot on the plate, brother.
I can't.
But hopefully they'll do it.
Maybe they will do it.
And it got to come naturally.
It got to come, you know, it got to come between them.
Organic, bro.
Y'all have a good day, though.
You too.
Yes, sir.
Get it off your chest.

Hello, who's this?
Hey, baby, just sharing a day.
I'm over here in Hanson, Virginia.
I want y'all to come save me.
I heard y'all talking about this thing about church people.
You know, my church is Graveyard Magnet Temple,
Downstreet, North King Street, 1225.
It's not about church.
It's not about all these cultures.
It's about the spirituality.
And I like to say,
we're going to give you some of the water tickets. And I like to say, we're going to give you some more something to water tickets.
And I need to talk to DJ Kelly.
I need to talk to Oprah, Ellen, and, oh, look.
This is what I got to get on my chest, yo.
Who's going to invest in Sherry B this year?
All right, all right.
I'm going to give you Kelly's number right now.
You ready?
You got a pen?
Cashier, let me ask her.
I'm going to give you Ellen's Instagram,
and you send her a message.
800.
800.
585.
585.
105.1.
I always call that number.
Let me ask you a question, baby.
Do you roll up in the morning, or do you roll up before you go to sleep so when you wake up you can just hit that blunt?
Can I tell you something about weed, baby?
Yes.
I put in weed in people's hair.
Weed only controls them.
I'm the one that called on April 24th about PTSD.
Weed don't do nothing but stimulate the mind and the matter.
I told it back in the day when I had the weed, It's the three H's. Make you happy, horny,
and hungry. You never know when it's
going to come. You never know when it's going to come.
It's like God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
So do you drink cognac with your cereal in the
morning? No, baby.
I'm going to hike up off of God and Jesus
and the breakfast club. Okay.
I like that. I like that. God, Jesus,
and the breakfast club.
I've been hanging one thing. It's the breakfast club in the morning. God, Jesus, and the Breakfast Club.
Don't you hang up on this lady.
So you're telling me that you're completely sober right now.
Ain't no acid.
Ain't no... I'm hanging up, bro.
No, don't hang up on her.
Can you get her those something in the water tickets?
There's something in her water already, and she drank it. There's a lot in the water. Listen. I got to hang up, bro. No, don't hang up on her. Can you get her those something in the water tickets? There's something in her water already and she drink it.
There's a lot in the water.
I gotta hang up on her.
No, don't hang up on her.
Come on.
Can't hang up on her when she talking about God.
You can ask Nikki.
Nikki who?
You gotta bring my ring.
Huh?
Give me some pink.
Give me some turkey.
I got a 10.
I used to be light skinned, but I'm dark skinned.
Hey, you got a 10.
I got a recipe. A recipe., but I'm dark-skinned. Hey, you got a tan. I'm a recipe.
All right, God bless you, baby.
T-T, tell them what you mean to me.
Hey, God bless you, baby.
We love you.
I love y'all.
I'm going to kiss y'all.
I'm going to kiss y'all.
I know I'm going to meet y'all one day.
I know it.
I put my name on it.
And I know my security is going to tackle you. My security is going to tackle you, too. I don it. I put my name on it. And I know my security gonna tackle you. Yeah, my security gonna tackle
you too.
I don't have security. You might get shot in the pinky
toe. Just to let you know that. I'm not gonna let them shoot you.
No, no. I'm done, Larray. I'm not gonna
let, but you will be restrained. No, not
my touch, my angel. Don't you mess
with my touch, my angel. Just your little pinky toe.
I'm gonna get Jennifer Lopez on you.
You gonna get Jennifer Lopez on us? Yeah.
Hell yeah. S***, that enough. Wait a minute. You ain't Jennifer Lopez on us? Yeah. The hell yeah. Shit, enough.
Wait a minute.
You ain't seen all that down low.
All right.
You ain't seen the hustler.
Enough.
I saw her ass over there with Jamie Foxx
on that living color.
Enough.
When she was a fly girl.
Yeah, when she was a fly girl.
Okay, I gotta go.
I gotta go.
Oh, now you gotta go.
Now you gotta go.
Okay, yeah, you gotta go now.
Now you gotta go.
All right, okay.
Oh my goodness.
Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051. If you need to vent, hit us up now. You got to go. All right. Okay. Oh, my goodness. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, hit us up now.
We got rumors on the way?
Yes, and my favorite artist of all time is getting a Grammy tribute.
I'll tell you who it is and who's participating in this tribute.
All right.
We'll get into that next.
Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
What's happening?
Happy Friday, goddammit.
Happy Friday.
Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk Taraji.
This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee.
Mama has it.
On The Breakfast Club.
So listen up.
Well, Taraji has her own natural hair care line coming out, TPH,
and it features products aimed at maintaining the health of natural hair.
She said, I realized a lot of women were putting weaves in their hair,
totally neglecting their hair.
And I know that weave is fabulous, but you have to take care of that hair underneath.
So that's what her new hair care products are going to do.
She said the line is perfect for taking care of your natural hair.
You know, I've been doing my
natural hair thing for a while now, and
it is tough to find the right products
to be able to use, so I'm definitely going to try it.
Who's going to be the first black man to come out with natural
hair care products? Because with all of these brothers
like Envy and Tory Lanez having
to trap toupees, don't you think brothers
with natural hair are going to need something?
They do actually have a man's
natural hair care line.
They do?
Yeah, I'm trying to remember
because I saw it
at one of the trade shows
I went to.
I can't remember
what it's called.
But I don't know
about for hair transplants.
No, but that's not natural hair
so that don't matter.
It is.
It's natural hair.
It's a transplant
of your real hair
but it's just not.
I don't know if I like
the word natural for that.
I feel what you're saying
but I don't like
the word natural.
when it's not hair.
Because you're not talking about me.
You shouldn't be talking about Tory Lanez or Tyga when they're not here.
I'm just going to tell you that.
Wow, you're just throwing everybody under the bus.
You're just snitching on everybody.
What if they open with it, though?
Yes, they are.
All right, now let's talk about OT Genesis.
He's been doing these remakes of people's songs.
Keisha Cole wasn't happy about hers.
Not at all.
But let's see what Vanessa Carlton thinks
about this A Thousand Miles remake.
Making my way downtown,
hundred rounds, got the 4-5
and the trade pound.
Had a party today
with my K, making my way
through the crowd.
Alright. All right.
What do you think?
I love it.
It sounds like me in the car.
There's no reason to be mad at OT Genesis for doing parody songs about y'all records.
If y'all mad at OT Genesis, y'all would have hated Weird Al Yankovic.
No, I can understand that people are saying they don't like the content of it.
You know what I mean?
They're like, oh, he's talking about killing people and gangbanging.
If they're saying that, that's a different story.
But just to be mad because he remade it? That's just fun.
People have been doing parody songs forever.
OT just having some fun.
Yeah.
All right.
Now, Mac Miller, by the way, his family has shared a video for Good News.
That's the first single off of his album that's going to be coming out called Circles.
And this is the family, again, sharing this video.
So you can stream that song, and you can also watch the music video because that is out now.
You can also preorder the album.
So that album will be
arriving on January 17th.
Mac Miller would have actually been 28
two days after that.
So here's the song, Good News.
Why does everybody need me?
It's a state.
Oh, I hate the feeling.
When you're high but you're underneath the ceiling.
Got the cards in my hand, I hate
feeling.
Yeah.
Get everything I need and I'm gone.
But it ain't stealing.
Can I get a break?
I wish that I could just get out my goddamn white.
What is it to say?
There ain't a better time than today.
All right, Mac Miller.
Rest in peace, Mac Miller, man.
Yes, and...
Good dude. Missed that guy, Malcolm.
They did put out a press release.
They said at the time of his passing,
Malcolm was well into the process of recording his companion album
to Swimming Entitled Circles.
Two different styles complementing each other,
completing a circle.
Swimming in Circles was the concept.
And along with that release,
there's going to be three pop-up exhibitions
celebrating his work,
celebrating his legacy.
That'll include art, exclusive merchandise, and front-to-back listenings of Circles.
So if you guys want to try to go to those.
And by the way, all proceeds will go toward the Mac Miller Fund.
You can attend the event.
The event is free from noon to 7 on January 17th and 18th in L.A., New York, and Pittsburgh.
FYI.
All right. Now, I told y' Pittsburgh. FYI. Mm-hmm.
All right.
Now, I told y'all I'm excited.
Who's my favorite artist in the world?
Prince.
Prince ever.
Okay.
He's getting an all-star Grammy tribute concert.
And somebody else who I love, and by the way, she was on The Breakfast Club and I completely fanned out when she was here.
Sheila E.
Sheila E. is the musical director for this all-star Grammy tribute,
and that is going to include people like Alicia Keys, John Legend, Usher, Susanna Hoffs from the Bengals.
You know, I didn't know Prince wrote Manic Monday, and I guess that's why I used to love
that song so much.
Really?
Wow.
Prince is so talented.
He wrote so many songs for people, and he would use different names because he didn't
even want people to know that he was writing it.
He had too much music for him to even do himself.
And Morris Day and The Time will be there.
His old band, The Revolution, have also signed on as well.
So I think it'll be really great to watch.
I'm going to be watching just to see what's going to happen.
And just know that if y'all mess up the Prince tribute in any way,
Prince will be in heaven side-eyeing you.
You know he don't play.
Telling Jesus and God, like, look, we're not letting them in
for what they just did to my song, okay?
Now, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are also going to be musical directors
alongside Shelly E and other people like Beck, Common, Foo Fighters,
Her, Earth, Wind & Fire, St. Vincent.
A whole lot of other people will be also contributing to this tribute.
I just feel like it should be a lot of people who know how to play instruments
on that stage.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
That was Prince.
How many instruments did Prince know how to play?
Not sure.
A lot of them.
I don't know if it was a lot or not.
I'm just talking.
Yeah, it was.
Yeah, I just know he knew how to play instruments,
but it should be a lot of people who know how to play instruments on that stage,
not just vocalists.
Right.
All right.
Well, I'm Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report.
All right.
Thank you, Ms. Yee.
Now we got front page news next.
Yes, and I know we talked about this earlier,
but I'm going to re-bring it back up.
A woman is suing a church for reporting her husband's sex abuse confession to the police.
All right, we'll get into that next.
Keep it live.
And Prince could play 27 instruments.
27, wow.
All right, it's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Oh, that's right.
We're playing Worldwide, right?
Worldwide exclusive again.
We're going to be playing this every hour on the hour.
This is Drake, Future.
It's called Life is Good.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Yeah, there you go. Future, Drake, Life is. It's called Life is Good. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Yeah, there you go. Future,
Drake, Life is Good.
Yeah, Life is Good. It's a good record about
absolutely nothing. It's Life is Good.
The video's out too. No substance to
it whatsoever, but it don't sound like they were going
for substance. They just wanted to create a vibe.
Yeah, that's all they did. Well, let's get
in some front page news.
Now in sports over the weekend, the Vikings
take on the 49ers. Saturday at 4. weekend, the Vikings take on the 49ers.
Saturday at 4.30, Titans take on the Ravens at 8.15.
The Texans take on the Chiefs at 3.05.
And the Seahawks take on the Packers at 6.40.
Who do you think is going to win the Super Bowl this year?
If you had to pick one right now.
I don't know.
Okay.
Charlamagne.
Uh-huh.
What do you think?
Oh, Baltimore Ravens.
I think the Ravens or the Seahawks.
I think one or the other.
One or the other. One or the other.
I'm going with...
What else?
What else?
I don't know.
You said that.
You don't even know who's in it.
I thought it was the Green Bay Packers.
See?
There you go.
All right.
All right.
Iranian officials have denied claims that they shot down a Ukrainian passenger jet.
People are feeling like they mistakenly shot down that passenger jet.
And that unfortunately did kill 176 people in that crash.
Now, here's what Donald Trump had to say.
I have my suspicions.
It was very, I don't want to say that because other people have those suspicions also.
It's a tragic thing.
When I see that, it's a tragic thing. It was flying in, not our system, it had nothing to do with us, it was flying
in a pretty rough neighborhood and somebody could have made a mistake. Yo, he just sounds
like somebody that doesn't know anything. He'd be like, yeah, it was a real rough neighborhood.
Why do you make it seem like a drone? You make it sound like it was a drone, somebody
was flying somewhere, they had no business flying it and somebody shot it out the sky.
Yeah, it was a real rough neighborhood. Yeah, in Jersey and, you know, in rough neighborhoods, things happen.
Can't fly drones in Newark near the airport.
He just says whatever.
A spokesman and advisor to Iranian president has accused the U.S. government of spreading lies about the crash of that Ukrainian airliner this week.
And the Ukrainian president has said he's not ruling out the possibility that the plane, which crashed earlier this week in Iran, had been hit by a missile.
So they said they are still waiting to investigate and confirm exactly what happened.
All right.
An Oregon woman, her husband is in prison for 15 years, and that is for sexually abusing a child.
Now she's suing.
Christine Johnson said her husband confessed his sexual abuse to clergy, and that's the church rules.
But then they went ahead and reported it to the police
so in response to that they're saying that the church failed to advise the couple if he followed
the guidance and confessed his sins that they would report him to state authorities and that's
why he's now in jail and she's now suing she's suing because uh loss of income emotional distress
and her family's loss of her husband's companionship for $9.5 million.
So we were talking about this earlier.
Yeah, I don't believe in heaven or hell, but if there is a hell, doesn't she run the risk of going for suing the church?
This is how you know people don't believe in God or church like they say they do.
Because why would you sue the church? Because the church did what's right.
Well, she's more concerned with money, but I think she probably thought like I did that when you actually confess that they're not supposed to tell anybody.
And when you confess, right, Arna, isn't it supposed to like, this is definitely not true, but do people believe when you confess it takes away those sins?
No, I mean, listen, it takes your sins away in the eyes of God, but you still got to be responsible for your actions here, you know, in the country, right? So if you're confessing sins to the pastor,
that means that you are looking for repentance.
The next step after accountability is taking personal responsibility
for your actions.
And to me, that would be to turn yourself in.
Now, certain things that are crimes, like anything against children,
any type of sexual assault, any of those things,
you've got to report that.
They do say that in 28 states,
the clergy among professionals are mandated by law
to report known or suspected instances of child abuse or neglect.
And the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
said they do consider protecting victims a top priority,
and they do have a 24-hour helpline to report abuse.
Yeah, and I think it's a difference between legal confidentiality,
like doctors and, you know, therapists have,
but not the pastors and the preachers.
But, you know, like, I went to Catholic school,
I went to St. Francis Prep in middle school,
and then high school, St. Francis Prep.
But, no, when they teach you, because you have to take religion classes,
they teach you that when you confess,
that it's just between you and the priest.
That's what they teach you.
They should teach you if you molest kids, you go to jail and go turn yourself in. Yeah, but that don't mean it's illegal, just because it just between you and the priest. That's what they teach you. They should teach you if you molest kids, you go to jail and go turn yourself in.
Yeah, but that don't mean it's illegal just because it's between you and the priest, right?
They should teach you not to molest kids.
I mean, that was the safest place that if anything ever happened, you can get it off your chest.
Now, in the Catholic Church, the way it was before 2018, with the priest,
if you go in and you confess and they reveal anything you said, they could get excommunicated.
That was before 2018.
So how did they change the rules?
They're trying to make it because obviously you can see what's been happening in the Catholic Church.
I think everybody should just, you know, don't tell me to keep something in confidence.
You know, especially if you know it's something that hurt somebody or could get yourself hurt.
Like I had a friend once tell me, like, I got to tell you something, you know, it's in confidence, you know, my life is in danger and such and such.
And I'm like, if your life is in danger, don't put that on me.
Don't just leave that to me.
I got to tell somebody.
I'm going to try to help you.
Don't tell me.
911, what's your emergency?
Her life's in danger.
Absolutely.
I mean, something, I got to be able to help you.
And you telling me to keep this to myself is not helping you, especially if you say
your life is in danger.
Then if something happens to you, I'm going to be sitting around feeling depressed
and guilty and talking to my therapist every week because I'm like,
am I going to intervene in some way?
But she told me to keep it in confidence.
No, absolutely not.
All right.
Well, that is front page news.
Now, when we come back.
Are we talking a little Boosie?
No, no, no.
We got the Puerto Rican princess.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jocelyn Hernandez.
Yeah, she'll be joining us, of course.
You know her from Love & Hip Hop, Atlanta, Love & Hip Hop, Miami.
She has a new show, Jocelyn's Cabaret.
And she's on Marriage Boot Camp.
Yeah, she's doing a lot right now.
We'll talk to her when we come back.
All right?
She missed you too, Charlamagne, yesterday, because you weren't here.
I have business to handle.
All right.
But Jocelyn Hernandez, when we come back, it's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We got a special guest in the building.
Jocelyn.
What up?
What's up?
Chicken or fly?
You have your own show.
Jocelyn's Cabaret.
Jocelyn's Cabaret. Jocelyn's Cabaret.
On Zeus.
On Zeus Network.
Zeus Network.
Zeus.
Zeus.
Zeus.
Everybody's like, it's with the Z, girl.
It's with the Z.
Zeus.
Zeus.
Now, why did you go back to Love & Hip Hop?
I thought you weren't doing it anymore.
Wait, can we talk about her show first?
We're about to.
She just started talking about the Zeus Network.
Let her talk about her show.
She just said she made a bunch of money, and I was curious to watch it go back.
But let's talk about Zeus.
Well, okay, the cabaret, Jocelyn's Cabaret.
So Jocelyn's Cabaret, the way I, let me just tell you this.
I've been writing Jocelyn's Cabaret for like five years.
Okay.
And it just, you know, came together with Zeus Network.
Shout out to Lemmy that helped me put it together.
He's the CEO of the network.
But he really understood my vision.
So basically, I just got,
what I did was like,
when I left Love & Hip Hop,
of course, there was a lot of
TV networks interested in me.
What are you doing?
What are you going to do?
What are you going to do moving forward?
But I felt like I needed to do something
like where I came from, right?
And so, yeah, my life is cool, of course.
I got a cool daughter.
I'm crazy.
I have fun. But then what, right? And so I like to. Right. And so, yeah, my life is cool. Of course, I got a cool daughter. I'm crazy. I have fun.
But then what?
Right.
And so I like to give back.
I really thought it was just a good idea to do this cabaret, Jocelyn's Cabaret.
Of course, I make music.
I've been making music for 10 years now.
So putting the music together with the cabaret and the ladies in my life and just building
a nice story storyline around that, I just thought it was fucking genius.
And it is. It is.
And so it was one of those things where I just figured, like,
why not bring my real
lifestyle, which is coming from the strip club,
right, and putting it together.
And I have, like, some of the story,
some of the stories on this, on Jocelyn's
Cabaret is something to really look at
because some of these ladies are prostitutes.
Some of them are strippers.
But there are mothers. There are
daughters. There are sisters.
They're good people. They have talent.
They want to do other things. And so
to be able to shine the light on that
type of lifestyle, which is like
quote-unquote the streets, right? With the
strippers and the prostitutes and everything like that.
And the men that come in the club. It's just pretty
cool to be able to run my own cabaret.
So are you running a cabaret?
I'm running my own cabaret.
Strip club, meaning?
Yeah, well, I partnered up with the strip club, G5, in Miami.
I've been to G5 a few times.
But you know, it's another side to G5.
So it's like two sides.
It's two sides.
So I use the other side.
And what I'm doing is, what I have the girls doing is really practicing to my music.
I have a new song called Sex Drive written by Lunch Money, EST.
Oh, shout out to Lunch Money.
Shout out to Lunch.
And produced by Ballistic.
Yeah, boo, why you can't shout out Ballistic?
Why you just went over that so fast?
Ballistic, I said.
Shout out to Ballistic, my baby.
Okay, then you guys said it a little more enthusiastically.
But so I got them
using that song.
So we started with that song.
So the girls really
want to transition.
They want to do other things.
And they can really dance.
These girls have real talent.
So you're teaching them
how to dance?
Well, I'm teaching them
how to choreograph.
Right.
And instead of taking
it to the next level.
Take it to the next level.
It's a real actual cabaret, which is just my music.
Right. Produced by some of the best people
in the industry. I feel like
cabaret for people doesn't have the same, like,
strip club. I'm confused.
Like, what's the difference between a cabaret? I'm confused.
Well, you know, the cabaret, you know,
I teach my girls how to really,
you know, sell
a fantasy. So, like, what is it?
Cirque du Soleil?
You can say that.
It's kind of like candy when she's on a tour.
It's man.
It's like prepare to come see a show.
They have a lot of cabaret in New York.
Like you're going to go see a beautiful ladies.
You're going to go see the main girl, which is me.
Okay.
And then you have the other girls, you know, joining me.
So you perform as well?
Of course I perform. Okay. We don't get naked though, you know then you have the other girls, you know, joining me. So you perform as well? Of course I perform.
We don't get naked though, you know.
We don't get naked, you know. So we just
have a lot of fun. We're performing. We allure the men.
And you know, it's a way to make lots of money.
Do they throw singles too?
Because in New York they don't get naked either. No.
No singles. No, no, no singles.
You pay to get in. You have to have a membership
to come and join the cabaret though. If you want to come
see the cabaret, yeah, it's some classic s***.
You really got to have a membership.
It's some classic s***.
It's some classic s***.
Now, let me ask you this.
There's a misconception for people that because you said there's strippers and there's prostitutes,
people always seem to think that strippers will prostitute if they have to.
But I know a lot of strippers who have never participated in any of that.
I think everybody sell a little box every now and again. You think so? That's prostitution. Listen, I think everybody sell a little box every now and again. You think so?
That's prostitution. Listen, I think everybody
sell a little box every now and again, but what I
do could tell you, when you are trying
to, listen, if you're
a stripper and you want to get your money,
hey, do you, right?
I know a lot of strippers that want to change their lives.
They no longer want to take their clothes off
or sell no box.
And so that's why
the cabaret is so important,
because you can actually still be your sexy self,
but you ain't got to do all that.
You know?
It's beauty.
It's an illusion.
It's Vegas.
It's just beautiful woman dancing to a certain song
and performing for the man.
You're going to make lots of money,
and it's being filmed and put on national TV
following their real storylines with their lives
and everything like that
because we didn't only shoot
inside of the cabaret.
We actually shot like,
you know,
like out in the club.
We went to the club.
We hung out.
We went to restaurants.
We went to some
of the girls' houses.
Like we shot a lot of places.
We shot at my house,
of course.
So we shot,
you know,
we shot different places
and we followed
these certain storylines,
of course,
with my main storyline.
But it's just,
it's just, and some
of the pimps, some of the pimps got on the show.
Damn. And they talked. So it's pretty
cool. It's pretty cool. The pimps? Yes.
So the pimps. Oh, s***. Should I call the managers?
Oh, s***.
I f***ed up. Some of the managers
got on the show. Your managers sound
better than pimps. I was like, man.
Pimps are like, damn. Some of the managers
got on the, you know, on the show andips, I was like, damn. Some of the managers got on the show
and they kind of explained.
Okay.
They kind of explained the game.
Because a lot of people
don't get it.
You know, a lot of people
just, they like to judge.
But until you know
these ladies and these men
and the,
because you know,
a lot of these girls,
you know, the way I see it
with their management,
you know, the way I see it,
it's like,
it's like a relationship.
It's like a marriage, right?
It's like they're married to each other. They have an understanding, right? They just don't
have that paperwork where they sign on the dotted line. But it's almost to me when I see this, like,
because, you know, I created this show and executive produced the show. So I'm in the show.
I own the show. I mean that I'm not only acting in the show, I'm producing, I'm writing storylines.
I'm, you know, I'm teaching the girls
how to be the best reality
superstars they could be by giving them
direction on how to do it, using their own
personalities, their own
way of being. Are these managers good guys?
They're great guys. I promise
you they're great guys. Why don't you call them a pimp?
That has a bad connotation.
They're calling me a pimp since I've got the cabaret.
They're like, Jocelyn, is you pimping?
I'm like, no, I'm helping.
Bro, you teaching these girls not to do some of the stuff that you might have done that you're like, damn, I shouldn't have done that.
Because you talk about the prostitution stuff and these girls are prostitutes.
You talk about the pimps and all that stuff.
But you didn't have a pimp, did you?
I used to be a stripper and I ran my own organization.
But I've had a lot of girls work up under me before I had the cabaret.
But you didn't beat them up for not doing stuff because when people hear things, that's what you think of.
Well, when I had girls, when I used to be a stripper back in the days and I had some of the girls work up under me,
I kind of taught them the same thing that I'm teaching the girls now at the cabaret.
But for me, it was a little bit, it was a stressful business to get into that type of business.
Right.
So I never really indulge in it.
But what I am teaching them is that there is a way out.
Okay, that's important.
That's what I am teaching them, that you can find a way out.
You don't have to take your clothes off.
You can use your mind to make some money.
And a lot of these girls, that's why I got the Puerto Rican Princess Foundation,
because the foundation is all about giving back to the youth.
Because I ran away when I was 14 years old, right?
And so I took care of myself my whole
life. And so when I see some of these girls
and when I see myself them, if I would have had
some guidance, I would have
turned out to be a scientist. My daughter's
into science. She goes to the science museum all
the time. She wakes up like, I want science, mommy.
And be up at nighttime like thinking about
what she's going to build in the morning. And I'm like, girl,
relax. Go to sleep.
Me as being a black Puerto Rican, like, I want to help as many people like me that I can
to let them know if you just turn that old switch off and turn the new one on,
you could become a new person.
All right, we have more with Jocelyn Hernandez when we come back.
Don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
PJ, Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club. We're. DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club.
We're kicking it with Jocelyn Hernandez.
You know her from Loving Hip Hop Atlanta, Loving Hip Hop Miami, and her new show, Jocelyn's Cabaret.
Jocelyn's here.
Yee?
Now, hold your hand up for a second.
Is that an engagement ring and a wedding ring?
Girl.
What?
I'm just asking.
No, I didn't get married.
I didn't get married.
Are you sure?
Because they said you might have gotten married already.
Hold up. Listen, I didn't get married. Congratulations didn't get married. Are you sure? Because they said you might have gotten married already. Hold up.
Listen, I didn't get married.
Congratulations.
There it is.
Right there.
Congratulations.
When do we get to see those wedding pictures?
Well, listen, I want you.
You're stuttering now, Jocelyn, and you don't stutter.
You're stuttering.
You're stuttering.
Puerto Rican princess is stuttering.
Yeah, I got me.
Now, I think you'll get to see a little bit more of that storyline on Jocelyn Scabba, right?
Because we dabbled in that quite a few.
But I'm in a happy space.
And, you know, my partner, he really just helps me with everything I need.
I'm in a place where I'm picking songs up and I'm doing things and things that I like to do.
And also, I'm in a place where, like, the people that follow me, that wants to hear my music,
they know exactly where to find it at.
Right.
Now, let me ask you this.
Having your own show, producing your own show,
did that make you understand Mona Scott more?
Because before, it was no more loving hip-hop.
You hated Mona.
You had issues with Mona.
Now these girls are gonna hate you
because you hated Mona.
But now you have your own show.
How does that make you view Mona now?
I'm a lot different from the Mona.
What makes you different?
Let me hear this one.
I'm a lot different from la Mona.
And the reason why I'm a lot different is because with me, if you from Florida, you know what I'm speaking about.
It's a lot of cultures in Florida.
So automatically our energy and the way we think and the way we do things is different.
First of all, let's just get this clear.
She never created anything.
She don't own the show.
I own Johnson & Scava, right?
VH1 owns Love & Hip Hop.
So who wanted you to come?
Did you want to go back to Love & Hip Hop or did they ask you to come back?
You know, Ashley, can I just tell you this?
I went back to do a few.
I did a few cameos.
I popped in and popped out.
They gave me a gray bag just to pop in and pop out.
But I really did it.
I really just, you know, my baby daddy called me.
I was like, listen, you know, they all, you know what I'm saying?
Like, just.
They got a bag.
Let's get this bag.
Let's go ahead.
So I did a couple of things.
I did a couple of, a couple of pops in and pop out.
But you know, anywhere I pop in and pop out, it's going to be great.
So they're making a big deal about it.
But like, really, there is nothing that I could possibly do for them because I don't own the shit.
You know, so they know if I don't step foot back in there,
they're going to go down.
You know, and I kind of did it.
I kind of did it to fuck with them.
I kind of just did a pop-up or two
just to fuck with them,
to alter their ratings.
You know, just to...
So when you pop up, the ratings go up,
and then when you pop out, back down.
Back down.
You know, and I could be a little bitch sometimes.
I did it on purpose.
You know, I did that.
I show my ass, you know,
because my main focus is Jocelyn's cabaret.
And anything that I own is what the focus is going to be on.
So did you feel like doing that was a good way
to bring more attention to your show?
I feel like doing that was just because I was on my shit.
Let me get that bag.
F*** yeah, I kiss my ass, blow me up.
Poor Ballistic Man.
Blow me the f*** up.
I feel sorry for Ballistic Man.
What? Ballistic? No, I'm just trying the f*** up. I feel sorry for Ballistic, man. What?
Ballistic!
No, I'm just kidding.
You need to be
feeling sorry for me.
Put Ballistic
on the mic, man.
Can we get Ballistic on?
Get on that mic, Ballistic.
I thought y'all
was married already.
Man, listen.
He said that's his wife.
Listen, y'all need
to be feeling sorry for me.
Don't let Ballistic...
Well, we're going to see
about all of that.
I'm on my s***.
Goodness gracious.
We're going to see
about all of that on marriage. How is an argument with you and Ballistic going we're gonna see About all of that I'm on my Goodness gracious We're gonna see about
All of that on marriage
How was the argument
With you and Ballistic going
How did that happen
Oh boy
There's no
There's really not
He gotta stand down
He gotta stand down
I pretty much
Just fell out
That's a married man
Right there
You're learning fast
After a few minutes
And stuff
If she starts getting more crazy
I'm like you know what
Shut up
Now how did y'all even
Get together in the first place
In the studio.
I met him at his studio.
I was really looking for songs to do the cabaret.
Somebody ended up taking me to his music studio two years ago.
And I see her walk inside in the building.
With the baby.
With the baby.
So even you thought she was gorgeous and sexy,
or you was like, she's crazy and I love her?
Well, I always thought she was very beautiful and stuff.
But when I seen her, I was like, we caught eye contact and I
was like, okay, she bad.
What's up? And how was co-parenting?
How are you dealing with, because now, you know, she has a
kid and she has a... Well, I knew Bonnie since
she was six months, so I've been
pretty much around and stuff and it's really
cool. Stevie cool,
you know what I'm saying? You and Stevie good? Yeah.
They hang out all the time. We take, you know,
when he comes to town, we go to the studio.
How does that make you feel?
I'm going out with your baby dad.
We're going to chill.
We're going to strip club.
They be in the studio all the time.
They be hanging out.
I don't know what the hell
they be doing.
That's what you want, though.
That's good.
I guess he's married.
You guys are married.
Shout out to Stevie and Faith.
And Faith, yeah.
I don't know what they be doing.
They be gone somewhere everywhere.
Yeah, we go to the studio.
Were y'all cool right away?
They might talk about you
and be like,
how do you deal with it, bro?
Yeah, pretty much.
I'm sure they do.
Pretty much just because
I go off of her vibe.
You know, to be honest,
if she was like,
f*** him,
I probably would've been
on the same s***
just because it's whatever.
That's your wife.
If you don't want to tighten up,
then we're going, you know,
but from the beginning
it was just, you know,
this is like this work and stuff.
I love this thing.
Because look,
did you ever think
you'd be in a point
where you could be cool with Stevie?
That's your husband hanging out with him?
Like that's a joke.
But I mean back then, just because y'all relationship was so volatile.
And I know there were times that you just were like, oh my God, like it was crazy.
Did you ever in your mind envision we could actually be cool one day?
I would have.
I was hoping so.
I was praying so. That's good. I'm glad to hear hoping so I was praying so
That's good
I'm glad to hear that
I'd like to see that
Now Maris Bootcamp
Styles P and Adjoa
Are on this one
Because I saw they released
Everybody that's going to be
On who else is on this season?
CeeLo
Bianca King and CeeLo
And Cho's
And Michele
Oh this is a good hook up
For music
There's something on my mind
Yeah
This is a good
Me and CeeLo
Are working on a song together
That's what I was thinking
Call Mr. Nasty Man
I'm serious
I can see that though
CeeLo be having a banger
Yeah
Me and CeeLo
Working on a song together
And actually his son
Started doing the track
And sent it over to Ballista
So Ballista would be
Working on it
But I love CeeLo
I think that he is my
soulmate musically.
We're so much alike.
Now, you did a long time ago, a couple years ago, you did a diss track
to Cardi B. Did you ever run into her?
Why do everybody say that? That was
not a diss track. That's just my song.
Hey, me now. It's a song.
They call it a diss track. Alright, have you seen Cardi?
Have you spoke to her? Listen, I see
you know what's so crazy about me?
That I only see me.
That's why I got the cabaret.
That's why I got Jocelyn's cabaret.
That's why I got Jocelyn's cabaret.
That's why I got what I got because I only see me.
You know what I'm saying?
Right.
Jocelyn, would you say this is the happiest you've ever been?
I'm in a very happy space just because I can have control of my IP, my intellectual property.
Being able to have control of your intellectual
property is very important for the community
where we come from.
My partner and my daughter
and us working together, it's just
a great feeling. People
joke sometimes about you, Jocelyn, because you're so loud,
but that's what I respect. When you came here
and the reason you do the cabaret shows, you want to teach
these young ladies how to own their own and how to get in the game.
That's what I think we don't do as much as minorities.
We don't teach each other.
We hold the information because we want it all to ourselves.
Oh, my gosh.
So the fact that, you know, you're trying to teach these young women
how to get from point A to make it to point C to be successful, you know,
that's the reason I do the real estate, to try to teach people.
And you should do the same thing with music, to teach people how to get in the game
because most of us, we are so thirsty.
We'll sign any deal and then we make all these hits and we get no money.
No money.
Right?
You know what I mean?
So I love the fact that you're teaching these young ladies how to do it.
That's dope.
Well, you know, and nobody taught me how to do shit.
I had to teach myself.
Here's the thing.
I want to enjoy my kids.
Right.
I want to enjoy my grandkids.
I want to enjoy.
I want to.
I want to reinvent myself at 45.
At 45, you're not going to be a grandmother.
We don't know that.
I can't wait to see what y'all relationship,
how it plays out on Marist Boot Camp, too.
And Jocelyn's Cabaret, of course.
We don't know what date it starts exactly,
but it's this month sometime.
We appreciate y'all for joining us.
That's right.
Jocelyn's Cabaret comes on when?
What date?
Jocelyn's Cabaret on Seuss, January 2020.
Okay.
So listen, everybody go to my page.
Y'all see when that thing drop, you know what I'm saying?
But go download right now, though.
You need to go get your slot.
All right.
Well, thank you guys for joining us.
Thanks for having us, man.
Thank you so much.
Thanks for having us.
Thank you, Jocelyn.
Thank you, man.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
It's about time. What's going on?
Rumor Report. Rumor Report. This is the Rumor Report. Talk to them.
With Angela Yee on the Breakfast Club. Well, Jillian
Michaels had made some comments about Lizzo and about her
appearance. Here's what she had to say originally. I love celebrities like Lizzo
or Ashley Graham who are really preaching self-acceptance.
I love her music. 100%.
I don't know anything about her. I'm sure she's a cool,
awesome chick. Yeah, and I love that they're putting
images out there that we normally don't get to see of bodies
that we don't get to see being celebrated.
Why are we celebrating her
body? Why does it matter?
That's what I'm saying. Why aren't we celebrating her music?
Because it isn't
going to be awesome if she gets diabetes.
Well, I want to ask you, just being honest, like, I love her music,
but there's never a moment where I'm like, and I'm so glad that she's overweight.
Well, Jillian Michaels is a celebrity trainer, and she was on BuzzFeed News AM to DM,
and those were her comments.
Well, she has doubled down on those comments since then. Here's what she had to say
about the backlash. I'm a health expert. For decades, I have said repeatedly that your weight
and your size have no bearing or merit on your value, your beauty, your worth, your ability.
Where it does have relevance is your health. And to pretend that it doesn't is not only
irresponsible, it's dangerous. And it's just not a lie. I'm willing to tell that it doesn't is not only irresponsible, it's dangerous.
And it's just not a lie, I'm willing to tell, because it's politically correct, man.
My overall point is that you take care of your health because you love yourself.
Obesity is the number one contributor to diabetes, heart disease, cancer.
She's not wrong.
Yeah, what's wrong with what she said?
Why are we acting like she's wrong?
She's a trained and a health expert.
Why are people mad?
Actress Jamila Jamil, who's a body neutrality activist, tweeted out,
Just saying.
My whole damn thin family has diabetes and high cholesterol and problems with our joints.
Why is this woman acting like she's an MRI?
Stop concern trolling fat people and get in the bin.
But they were talking about Lizzo, not the other woman's family, though.
I'm just talking about the second statement she made.
I mean, obesity is the number one cause
of a lot of those things.
So why are you upset
with her for telling the truth?
I just thought that she should be
specifically talking about Lizzo
and commenting on her body
and her health
without knowing anything about her.
But here's how Lizzo responded.
If my name is in your mouth,
so is my bitch.
Enjoy the flavor.
All right.
Listen, and we shouldn't celebrate
anybody for their body, right? It should be about the talent. Isn't celebrate anybody for their body, right?
It should be about the talent.
Isn't celebrating somebody for their body objectifying them in a way?
I think that a lot of people have negative things to say and comments about people who,
if you look at them, you look at them and say, oh, this person's overweight.
Oh, do this. Go to the gym. And people are always shaming people.
Well, let's take it out of the overweight people.
That's why they call it fat shaming.
So the whole point is let's stop commenting on.
Listen to what she said.
She said we're celebrating.
We shouldn't celebrate people for their body.
That's just like saying Nikki's only popular because she got a fat ass.
That would be fine if she just...
Bill O'Reilly used to do that about Beyonce.
Beyonce's only popular because she got a nice body.
Like, no.
But that would be okay if she stopped.
I guess it would be okay if she stopped there, but then she started talking about her health
without knowing anything about whether or not she has health issues and all of that.
See, that's what this world really bothers me right now, right?
Let's be honest.
If people are overweight or they need work or they need to get healthy, we should say it.
We shouldn't wait till they're dead to say it.
Yeah.
Just like, you know, if I'm overweight, right, and I'm not fat, but if I'm a little,
I have to have some pounds on me and somebody says, yo, E, you're gaining some weight.
Give it in the gym.
I'm not going to be like, oh my gosh, you hurt my feelings. No, I'm going to get my ass
in the gym because they're trying to look out for me. Would you prefer that to be somebody who
knows you or a complete stranger commenting on you?
I don't care what people say. But some people
don't appreciate that. Obesity. Some people
don't really appreciate you commenting on their
body and you also don't know what's going on in somebody's
life. You don't know if they're on some type of medication
that's making them gain weight. You have no
idea what's happening. That is very true. You don't know if they've
already. You don't know.
So you can't really comment on somebody else's situation
without knowing what that situation is.
I can cast a wide net and say obesity is a leading preventable cause of death worldwide.
I can say that.
You can say that, but I think, I just think in this situation,
the whole point of what Lizzo's doing is that people always have negative things to say.
This is about Lizzo, though.
But what I'm saying is what she's been trying to do is just have some positivity.
Because a lot of times people are, it's hard for them to actually celebrate themselves when so many people are saying negative things about you.
So nobody should tell the overall truth just because people think it's specific to Lizzo.
If somebody is overweight around me, I'm going to tell them because I want them to get healthy and I want them to live a long time.
And if I get overweight or I do something unhealthy, I want somebody to tell me too.
I don't care if it hurts my feelings.
My wife tell me, yo, this, that, and the other.
And I know it might hurt your feelings.
It doesn't matter who it is.
People do it on Instagram all day.
And I could be there and be mad about it and be embarrassed.
But I'm like, you know what?
They're right.
I need to lose some goddamn weight.
I don't want Envy to die of brain cancer.
That's why I bring up trap toupees all the time.
But that's just not for Envy.
That's for every guy out there who has a trap toupee.
Well, I guess what Lizzo's trying to do is spread some positivity and some positive messages.
That's all she's trying to do.
But I love Lizzo.
Shout out to Lizzo.
So let's just leave it at that.
And let's also be clear.
The doctor's going to end up telling you all this stuff anyway.
That's all it's going to boil down to.
And hopefully it's not too late.
All right.
I didn't even get to tell y'all who could have
been on Rihanna's album,
so we'll have to get to that
in the next Rumors.
I'm Angela Yee,
and that's your Rumor Report.
Wow, that's a great tease.
I got to wait a whole hour?
That's because y'all
wouldn't stop talking.
I like this topic.
Now I'm talk shaming y'all
because you guys don't shut up.
What are you giving
your donkey to, man?
Donkey of the day.
This is a teachable moment.
Another teachable moment.
I don't know if I should do it,
though, because it's just
about one person.
But I'm doing it to cast a wide net for everybody.
Everybody can learn from this, okay?
But we need a guy named Troy Ward to come to the front of the congregation.
We'd like to have a word with him.
All right.
We'll get to that next.
And let's get into a joint.
Drake Future is a worldwide exclusive.
We've been playing it every hour on the hour since 6 a.m.
It's called Life is Good.
I like this joint.
It's the breakfast of the morning. It's all Life is Good. I like this joint. It's the breakfast.
All right. I like it. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed,
a little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag and just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy. 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Ladonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Kaperburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tried my country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a racket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself, and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step.
And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going.
This increment of small, determined moments.
Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace, have grace with yourself.
You're trying your best and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this
thing.
Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.
Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. That's pretty funny. Charlamagne the devil? Hey, guys.
The Breakfast Club. Dark of the Day for Friday, January 10th goes to an Indianapolis rapper named T. Ward,
real name Troy Ward, who was convicted of murder and robbery charges, okay?
Ward was convicted of a triple homicide.
He was convicted of murder and robbery charges after his music...
Homicide!
He was convicted of murder and robbery charges after his music was used as evidence in court.
Okay, I love when
rappers 6ix9ine themselves because I come from
a different era, an era where people who
were involved in crime didn't even want
to talk on the phone about said
crime. That was a cardinal sin when you
was in the streets, but nowadays, oh man,
these kids don't just talk on the phone. They incriminate
themselves on the internet in every single way possible.
In fact, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said, and I quote,
we have won more murder cases than we ever have before because of cell phones and social media,
because people routinely brag about it, whether it's in songs, whether it's an IG post,
whether it's on Facebook, about what they just did, end quote.
Troy Ward is no exception to this, okay?
I read this story on Complex.com yesterday,
and the headline says,
Indianapolis rapper's lyrics used as evidence in a triple,
what is the word?
Homicide.
Homicide, murder, conviction, okay?
See, it was a drug deal gone wrong,
and that drug deal gone wrong got Troy Ward
180 years in prison.
180.
Sidebar, why do judges do that?
Is it a way to psychologically break you?
Why don't judges just say you're going to die in here?
Why don't judges just bang the gavel and say you got forever?
What's the point of giving someone 180 years?
Those are Old Testament numbers.
Back when the first humans recorded in the Bible were living to be 930 years old.
In this era, the oldest known living person is 116.
That means they would still have 64 years left on their sentence.
But anyway, Troy Ward is in jail because he's a rapper, ladies and gentlemen.
And one of the worst things hip-hop ever did was give people flack for not living what they rap about.
We should have just been enjoying gangster music the way we enjoy, you know, Scorsese films, okay?
Let people entertain.
But no, we, and I say we because I'm guilty of it too,
we wanted gangster rappers to actually do what it is they rapped about,
knowing damn well if they did what they rapped about,
they would end up dead or in jail.
And that's what happened to Troy Ward because prosecutors linked his lyrics
to a triple homicide.
Did I say it right?
Yes.
Good job.
I like the way I pronounce it better.
Can we hear some of the record, please?
I creep up to the door suddenly and slow.
Bitch.
I opened up that bitch and now we clashing pose.
Rah.
Two shots to the body, two shots to the dome.
Okay.
Finesse the health stash and then I took it home.
Prosecutor Ryan Mears claimed that those lyrics matched the 2017 Triple Homicide.
He said this was not a random talk about some random incident.
He said the song is pretty consistent with the facts of the case.
They broke it down lyric by lyric, and prosecutors said Troy even mentioned in the song
how one of the victims was wearing swimming trunks at the time of his murder.
I really think the reason things like this happen is because the trauma that people experience
after they take someone's life, they have to confess their sins.
Same reason that guy we were talking about earlier who was touching on those kids went
to confess to a pastor.
Same reason that Troy Ward, at some point in his 180-year prison sentence, will be begging
to talk to a therapist.
There is nobody that can commit a crime like that and not have some type of trauma unless
they are just a complete sociopath.
And this guy, Troy Ward, rapping about the crimes he committed is a cry for help, okay?
It's him getting it off his chest because it's probably eating him alive.
Now, this donkey of the day sells itself,
but the way my brain works,
what's really pissing me off about this situation
is he sucks as a rapper.
Can you play that little clip again, please?
I creep up to the door silently and slow.
Bitch.
I opened up that bitch and now we clash and pose.
Rah.
Two shots to the body, two shots to the dome.
Okay.
Finesse the health stash and then I took it home. I don't care how real your life is.
Talent is talent. Garbage is garbage.
A talented rapper can rap about anything and make it sound good.
A garbage rapper can have content like this and still make it sound like trash.
He didn't have respect.
He didn't even have the respect to get an original beat.
You're having off two chains. I'm different.
Listen, attention all MCs, and by MCs I mean microphone
criminals. It's not the crime that gets
you on, it's your talent.
And when we say we like rappers who live what they
rap, it doesn't have to always be
crime. And if it is crime,
just make sure when you're rapping about those crimes
it sounds good. Because once again,
it's the talent, not the
crime, that will make you a success.
I'm sorry if the culture
ever made you think otherwise. Please give
Troy Ward, aka T. Ward, the biggest
hee-haw.
Hee-haw.
Hee-haw.
Alright. A lot of that is our fault.
Just by saying that we wanted people
to live what they rap about.
Alright, well thank you for that donkey of the day.
Now the other day we were talking
about Lonnie Love, right?
Lonnie Love.
And we were talking about what she said about black men cheating.
You guys are very passionate about this topic.
Yes.
Do you have audio?
But Lonnie Love was speaking based on what she heard Joe Budden say.
And Joe Budden was speaking on what he heard Kevin Hart say.
And I would like to say I disagree with Kevin Hart, Joe Button, and Lonnie Love.
Okay, well, what did Joe Button say?
Do you remember?
I'm asking you.
I'm not going to.
He was talking about Kevin Hart cheating.
I don't want to misquote it right now.
Yeah, get Joe's clips for himself.
I'm not quoting Joe.
All right, well, what did Lonnie Love say?
Let's hear it.
I don't speak for the black community, but I do think that a lot of black men, they really
don't know how to have true, faithful relationships.
I disagree.
They think because they have money, because they have power,
that they can treat women any kind of way.
I disagree.
And that is something we need to work on.
We are still dealing with the point of slavery,
and we are descendants of slavery,
and because our families were broken up,
we still do not have an idea of
how to have together
families because our families were broken up.
Can we get all those clips? Can we get Kevin Hart's
excuse for cheating? We'll do that.
Can we get Joe Budden's excuse for cheating and
Lonnie Love's excuse for cheating? Because I disagree with
every single one of them. We'll do that when we come back.
But let's open up the phone lines. What did you think about her comment
about black men cheating? Black men don't
cheat. 585-1051. I'm opening up the phone lines, What did you think about her comment about black men cheating? Black men don't cheat. So let's not just leave it at black men.
585-1051.
I'm opening up the phone lines, brother.
What else are you opening?
You're trying to cheat.
That's you trying to cheat.
I don't know what's wrong with you, but you're trying to cheat.
But 800-585-1051.
We're talking about Lonnie Love and her take on black men cheating.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.

Do you have tickets or accidents on your driving record?
Are you having a hard time getting auto coverage?

It's topic time.
Call 800-585-1051
to join in to the discussion with The Breakfast Club.
Talk about it.
Morning, everybody. It's DJ, MV,
Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Now, if you just joined us, we're talking about a statement that Lonnie Love made.
You can't just start this at Lonnie.
This actually started with Kevin Hart, you know,
because of a statement that he made on his Netflix docuseries.
Right, so let's play the clip Kevin Hart,
then we'll play what Joe Button said,
and then we'll play what Lonnie Love said.
So here is Kevin Hart from his Kevin Hart special.
I don't have my circle around me.
My circle ain't there because Kevin is doing what?
I'm moving in unfamiliar territory.
I done called the audible.
Circle around you.
It's very hard for you to do stupid shit.
Get tapped on your back.
Hey, dummy, what are you doing?
Ain't got nobody with me.
Then Joe Button replied with this.
No, but in thinking about how hard he
works like sometimes you're not home but for 10 seconds in the day for however many days and i as
a man can understand how that can be difficult and then lani love said this i don't speak for
the black community but i do think that a lot of black men they really don't know how to have true
faithful relationships.
They think because they have money, because they have power, that they can treat women
any kind of way.
Loni Love is saying things.
And that is something we need to work on.
We are still dealing with the point of slavery and we are descendants of slavery.
And because our families were broken up, we still do not have an idea of
how to have together families because our families were broken up so we're asking 805-85-1051
what did you think about a Lonnie Love statement about black men cheating I disagree with every
single one of those people Kevin Hart Joe Budden and Lonnie Love simply because cheating is a matter
of choice that That's it.
Niggas make choices. And when you cheat, it's a choice
that you as a man are making to feed your ego.
It has nothing to do with your boys not being around.
It has nothing to do with men working too hard.
It's not a matter of race. Men make choices
and cheating is always a poor choice because it's
ego-driven. Every single time I've cheated
is because I wanted to and I was
feeding my ego. And it comes a point in time where men
have to realize, hey, I have an amazing woman at home.
I have a family.
I don't want to lose that over some other woman.
So you start making better choices.
Stop trying to find the right way to do the wrong thing.
Everybody making all these excuses as to why people cheat.
No, hold yourself accountable for simply making poor choices.
There's no science to it in the store.
Does cheating mean you don't love your wife, though?
No, that's not what that means.
I'm just asking.
It means you don't love yourself.
I would say that you don't love yourself, and I don No. That's not what that means. I'm just asking. It means you don't love yourself. I would say that
you don't love yourself,
and I don't think you know
the true definition of love.
I don't think you could really say
you love somebody
and love them the way
that you're supposed to
and cheat on them
because you know you're hurting them.
You know that if they find out
you hurt them.
And you know,
when you realize that,
when I started doing
the work on myself
and I started, you know,
going to therapy
and, like, starting to deal
with a lot of my trauma
and realizing that hurt people
hurt people,
when you start to do that, go through that act of healing,
you'll stop hurting the people that are closest to you.
And that's what cheating is.
It's just hurting somebody that's close to you.
Think about how we used to just run the streets
and sleep with a whole bunch of different women,
and if our wife would find out, she'd be upset, she'd be hurt,
and it would bother us, but it wouldn't really bother us.
Now, oh my God, I'll die first before I cause another pain.
Not even that.
I still have the pain from the past stuff that I do when I think about it.
Absolutely.
Like, damn, I really hurt my wife.
Absolutely.
I really embarrassed my wife.
And I told my wife, you know, when we did our own healing process, that until I die, I will prove to her.
That's right.
And I will keep, you know, pushing to make sure she understands that I'm sorry and that I will work my hardest to make sure that she never feels like that ever again.
And you know what the best apology is?
You know what the best apology is?
Change behavior.
Change behavior.
All right, well, let me say this.
Statistically, though, because I looked at this study from the Institute.
What is the statistics?
I'm just curious.
Can I just say something?
Uh-huh.
The Institute of Family Studies, y'all had your time to talk.
So they did do a breakdown, right, of just breakdown by gender, by race, who cheats the most.
And they said the infidelity rate, and these are according to the Institute of Family Studies,
they said that cheating is more common among black men.
Yeah, just like every other study in America says.
Among black men, it's 28% reported they had sex with someone other than their spouse,
20% of white men, and 16% of Hispanic men.
Yeah, just like every other study in America
showcases black people in a negative light.
I mean, with the study,
how many people were asked in that study?
Yeah, and how many people told the truth?
What if the white men were lying?
Like they do any other time?
Oh, you believe white people now?
All I'm saying is I know a lot of
black women who have experienced
their black man
cheating on them
just as other races
as well.
Exactly.
But I will say
there's a lot of women
out there
who I speak to
all the time
and I tell them
not everybody cheats
but a lot of women
believe that all men
cheat.
A lot of them.
I can't believe
that y'all haven't
heard women say that.
And by the way
that's why I specifically
said it's not a matter
of your boys
not being around
it has nothing to do with men working too specifically said it's not a matter of your boys not being around. It has nothing to do with men working too hard.
And it's not a matter of race.
Men make poor choices, and cheating is always a poor choice.
Well, let's go to the phone lines.
Hello, who's this?
This is KB from the Bronx.
What's up, bro?
We're talking about the statement that Lonnie Love said.
What did you think?
I think she crazy, number one.
Oh, God.
No, no, this is my point.
She is married to,
she's with a white guy, right?
Yes.
And she's saying,
oh, black men don't know how to act
because our family's been broken up
because of slavery.
She went right back to the slave master.
Oh, okay.
Okay, what's your,
I mean, she's dated black men before.
I will say this,
it's probably her experience.
Probably once you got a white man.
It's probably her experience.
Rodney Love probably dated
a couple of black men
and a couple of black men,
may have cheated on her or treated her wrong.
And that's from past experience.
You can't talk about somebody's past experience.
I just don't agree.
I love Lonnie Love.
She's the nicest person when I see her.
She's the Lonnie Love.
But, you know, that's her experiences.
I just don't necessarily agree.
And I'm not going to allow that false narrative to be pushed upon black men
when the truth of the matter is men in general just make poor choices
and cheating is a poor choice.
800-585-1051.
We're talking about the statement
that Lonely Love said
that black men do more cheating
than any other race.
That's pretty much what she said.
All right, call us up now.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Good morning. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah after you just joined us. We're talking about a statement that Lonnie Love made a couple of days ago.
Now, let's play the statement,
or the comment, I should say.
I don't speak for the black community,
but I do think that a lot of black men,
they really don't know how to have
true, faithful relationships.
They think because they have money,
because they have power,
that they can treat women any kind of way.
Lonnie Love is saying things.
And that is something we need to work on.
We are still dealing with the point of slavery,
and we are descendants of slavery,
and because our families were broken up,
we still do not have an idea of how to have together families
because our families were broken up.
So we're asking 800-585-1051,
what do you think of Lonnie Love's
statement? Let's go to the phone lines. Hello,
who's this? Hey, this is Danielle
from Detroit. Hey, Danielle from
the D. What's going on, mama? Not much.
How are you guys? We're doing great. We're talking
about Lonnie Love's comment. What do
you think? Okay, so here's the thing. Lonnie
Love is full of
it. Okay, I've dated men of different
races. You name it. Asian, I've dated men of different races.
You name it.
Asian, black, Latino, Middle Eastern, white, biracial.
Any man will treat you any kind of way, rich or poor.
I married a wonderful man who's a black man, and he happens to be wealthy, and he treats me like a queen.
We even were celibate before we got married.
He's an amazing person, so she's full of it, yeah.
Okay, thank you, Mama.
Hello, who's this? Hey, this is Stephanie. How y'all doing? Hey, Stephanie,. Okay. Thank you, Mama. Hello, who's this?
Hey, this is Stephanie.
How y'all doing?
Hey, Stephanie.
Good morning.
What do you think about Lonnie Love's comments?
I think they're incorrect.
I hate the fact that with people of power, our men of power, we paint them all with this broad brush saying that's the reason they cheat.
But let me tell you, I know way more broke guys that cheat.
It's because of convenience.
People cheat because of convenience and people making things easy and available to them,
and that's why they do it.
I think money has nothing to do with it.
People do it out of convenience and accessibility
to be able to get it done.
Okay, thank you.
Hello, who's this?
This is Shawnee from Dayton.
What's up?
Hey, Shawnee from Dayton.
We're talking about Lonnie Love's statement
about black men cheating more than any other race.
What do you think about our comment?
So basically, if you do a survey of all black women who date black men,
you're going to see that all black women have majorly been cheated on.
Okay.
What makes you think white women don't get cheated on?
We had a president of the United States of America who got impeached because he cheated on his wife. Like, what are y'all talking about?
Because, what do you mean?
But, it's tight, and it
even goes back to, like, when men are
young, too. Like, you can even ask
high school girls, like, you getting cheated
on in high school, getting cheated
on when you're 50. It's a lady at my job.
She, like, 61 years old,
and she done had to follow her
60-something years old boyfriend
and found out that he was cheating, had a whole family and everything.
So it just shows right there, like, how can you say that black men don't cheat
or something like that?
And if you go and date a person of a different race, they're probably going to cheat too.
But we're talking about black men cheating and black women can attest to that.
I will say, I mean, I agree that it is a common thing now.
I think men of all races do cheat for sure.
I guess my experience has been with black men.
So that's what I know.
And most of the people I know have dated black men.
So that's just what I know about.
I have no problem with y'all coming to that conclusion based off your own experiences.
But when y'all start pulling stats out y'all ass,
because those same stats will tell you black men are the most violent,
black people don't take care of their kids, black people are lazy.
So don't dismiss those statistics.
This doesn't say anything about that.
What are you talking about?
You can pull up all the stats.
No, I'm talking about this specific one.
Most stats that they put out always paint black people in a negative light.
Always.
Period.
Like, there's not a stat you can pull up that we aren't at the bottom of.
All right.
Well, what's the moral of the story?
The moral of the story is it doesn't matter if you're rich.
It doesn't matter if you're poor.
It doesn't matter if you're successful or unsuccessful.
It doesn't matter if your boy's around.
It doesn't matter if you're working too hard.
You know, it doesn't matter if it's a matter of race.
Cheating is a matter of
making poor choices. And, you know,
men make poor choices a lot of times because
we're trying to feed our egos. And as you get
older and, you know, you will realize that
it's not your ego that you want to feed, it's your soul.
And you know what helps you to feed your soul?
By doing the work on yourself, getting to a place
of healing. And when you get to that place of healing,
you won't be so quick to hurt the one you love.
And I will not hurt my wife
ever again as long as I live.
That's just my personal opinion. I agree with you.
Alright, now, we got rumors
on the way, Yee? Yes, Meghan Markle and Prince
Harry, they've already removed their wax
figures. No! Tell me about the Rihanna
story! I've been waiting for an hour, Yee!
I am going to tell you about that, if
y'all will let me. Okay. Anyway, their
wax figures have been removed from the Royal Family
display and we'll tell you who told them
that they should leave the Royal Family.
They actually got advice from somebody
and this kind of set things in motion.
Okay. Alright, we'll get into that next. Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
EJ, Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk Riri.
She's spilling the tea.
This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club.
So everybody is waiting for Rihanna's album to come out, right?
And one person gave a little bit of information about how he could have been on the album, but he turned it down.
The reason why, he said, they approached me for the Rihanna project.
There's a lot of great people involved, but for me, I didn't need to audition to be on the record.
I'll leave that to younger guys.
But from what I hear, it should be good.
And that person is Shaggy.
He said it's a healthy competition.
Dance hall is in a good place,
but we need as many people to do this art form as possible.
When it crosses over and becomes popular with artists from other genres
and other cultures, that can only be good.
So I guess she's doing a whole dance hall album,
and Shaggy, they wanted him to kind of audition to be on it.
Well, Shaggy's a legend.
I guess he's like, I ain't got to do that.
I got numerous hits, numerous number ones.
I think audition
is probably the wrong word
for this, though.
They probably wanted to hear
how different dance hall artists
sounded on this particular record.
So they probably reached out
to Shaggy and a few others
and they just wanted to see
who sounded the best.
I don't know if audition
is the right word.
But Shaggy's like,
I'm not going to lay down
my vocals and come
unless you're hiring me for real.
Not just lay down
if I don't like it.
Nah, it's kind of like,
you know, actors. Like, I'm not auditioning for this part. But what if he if I don't like it. Nah, it's kind of like actors.
But what if he didn't fit the record?
He might hear it and be like, you know what? I don't think that's
for me. That's for such and such. You know what I'm saying?
Like, I don't know.
Alright, well that was his choice, so that's what he
had to say about Rihanna's album.
He's still excited about it.
And I'm glad Shaggy's not a young boy. If that was a young boy,
he'd be one of those people that would get around girls and be like,
yo, you think I was wrong for turning down Rihanna's project?
You know what I'm saying?
Just randomly talking to one of his homeboys.
Yo, hey, yo, remember when I turned down Rihanna's project?
You think I was wrong for that?
All right.
Well, let's talk about the NAACP Image Awards.
They have put out the nominations.
And in the Outstanding News Information Series or Special,
there's one show that was nominated that's on Revolt.
And that show is The Breakfast Club.
Hey, dropping the clues bombs for Revolt TV and The Breakfast Club.
I'm going to be honest with you.
I often forget Revolt is a real TV network.
You know what I mean?
Shut up, man.
I'm going to be honest.
Me too, though.
I do.
Let me see what other categories Revolt has some nominations.
Nothing.
All right.
Well, congratulations to all of us.
Revolt, The Breakfast Club.
Can I ask you a real question?
Yes.
This is not a dig.
What other shows on Revolt?
State of the Culture with Joe Budden.
Okay.
Drink Champs with Noriega.
There you go, Envy.
I mean, those are the two that I know.
I don't know what else.
Okay.
I'm just curious.
I honestly don't know.
Yeah, but I'm just happy that Revolt is being recognized as a real TV network.
Well, we're up against Push Out, The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools on PBS,
Surviving R. Kelly on Lifetime, The Story of God with Morgan Freeman on National Geographic,
and Unsung on TV One.
Yeah, Surviving R. Kelly is definitely probably going to win that hand now.
I mean, I don't even know how they put us in the series of special categories.
But now we are a NAACP Image Award nominated show forever.
I'm with that.
Drop one of those bombs for that.
I respect that.
It's time to revolt.
And I like the fact that it's the NAACP Awards and Revolt is a black-owned TV network.
I think that's dope.
I love that.
And it's going to be on BET, right?
Man, shut up.
It'll probably be on TV One.
Yeah, it's usually TV One. It's BET? It's BET. Which? Man, shut up. It'll probably be on TV One. Yeah, it's usually TV One.
It's BET?
It's BET.
Which one comes on TV One?
One of them comes on TV One.
Not that.
Yeah, because Jay-Z and Beyonce was there last year.
All right, now Meghan and Prince Harry,
their wax figures have already been removed
from the royal family display.
They're never fast.
Yeah, they are not playing with them.
So I guess, you know, it's over.
But they are, according to reports,
a source on page six is saying the real reason Prince
Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family is because
Oprah said you guys
should break free and do your own thing.
Build out your brand.
And they started realizing that it was really
possible. So that's how it all kind of started
and that's why we are where we are.
Okay.
Listen, at the end of the day, right,
from what we've all been hearing,
it has been a lot of racist things happening
with Meghan Markle being there.
The tabloids are vicious there.
You see what happened with Princess Diana
and I'm sorry, Prince Harry,
because that was his mom who ended up getting killed
and had a really difficult time out there.
He probably felt like,
I don't want the same thing to happen to me and my family.
I have a son now.
Let's just leave all this behind us.
All right, I'm Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report.
And the NAACP Image Awards will be airing when?
February 22nd on BET.
They aired on TV One last year.
Yeah, it's a two-hour special.
BET, right.
Salute to the NAACP Image Awards, man.
I really appreciate that.
Absolutely, me too.
I don't think we've ever been nominated for nothing, have we?
We have awards. It's your iHeart Award. Oh, yeah think we've ever been nominated for nothing, have we? We have awards.
It's your iHeart Award.
Oh, yeah, we've gotten awards.
We have an iHeart Award.
Well, we work here.
We have an iHeart Award for something.
We did.
Yeah, we got a podcast.
I mean, come on.
I mean, we're on iHeart.
That wasn't rigged, man.
Stop that, man.
I don't know if that counts.
That's like if we got an award for the KC Crew Award.
You know what I mean?
A win is a win.
However you want to take it.
A win is a win. All right. to take it. A win is a win.
All right.
Now, the mix.
People's Choice Mix is up next.
But before we get to the mix,
we got a new joint.

Oh my gosh. I'm going to miss Miss Anita so much. I'm happy for her
that she's going to be able to retire, but I'm sad that I'm not going to see her every day. I am so sad I'm not going to see her today. It's her last day. She is retiring. I'm going to miss Miss Anita so much. I'm happy for her that she's going to be able to retire,
but I'm sad that I'm not going to see her every day.
I am so sad I'm not going to see her.
I told her I got to FaceTime her once a week or something just to get that energy.
She's such a great person.
We love you, Miss Anita.
We appreciate you.
We're going to miss you so bad.
I know you said you'll come up here every once in a while,
but we love you and we will miss you.
I feel sorry for the person who got to replace Miss Anita.
Those are some big shoes to fill.
I don't think you got it in you.
But you know why I say that?
Because Miss Anita is one of those rare people who's just a genuinely nice, loving, warm person.
Like, you can't fake that.
Absolutely.
That's either in you or it's not.
Absolutely.
Well, shout out to Miss Anita, and we love you, and I can't wait for you
just to retire
and just relax
and just enjoy life.
All right?
All right, O'Shaughnessy,
you got the positive note?
Yes, man.
I was listening to
the Potterhouse podcast
this morning.
My man Bishop T.D. Jakeson.
Bishop T.D. Jakeson,
he put out a bar
that was so dope
that I would love to share
with the people.
He said that
you can't get over anything
until you give up what you had in mind about that
thing. Breakfast club, bitches. You're all finished or y'all done? Had enough of this country? Ever
dreamt about starting your own? I planted the flag. This is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Or maybe not.
No country willingly gives up their territory.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.

Hey guys, I'm Kate Max.
You might know me from my popular online series,
The Running Interview Show,
where I run with celebrities, athletes,
entrepreneurs, and more.
After those runs, the conversations keep going.
That's what my podcast, Post Run High, is all about.
It's a chance to sit down with my guests
and dive even deeper into their stories,
their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together.
