So let's talk a bit about So, okay, wait, before we get into Houston today, I know you're coming to New York City, Detroit, Chicago, there's a lot of places that you're bringing the Destiny's Child Reimagined tribute. But one of the things that, you know, is happening right now in real time is

we just found out that in the next 30 days we'll be getting some new Destiny's Child music. I mean, new to us, oh, to you guys, we've never heard it before. Remixes, correct? Correct. There will be urban remixes and dance remixes that's been in a vault for a long time that the ladies have approved. And, you know, there's a whole strategy now for Destiny Shaw.

We have obviously the tribute, but we have the music coming. We have also years of video footage that's never been seen before. We have a new website, DestinyShall.com. we have new merchandise coming. The authentic merchandise as there's so many people bootlegging Destiny's Child merchandise and has been for years and we're going to crack down on that.

I never realized until I heard you say it that there wasn't ever real merchandise because there's been so many different things that have been out there. Why did you guys never do merchandise for Destiny's Child because you guys capitalized, like business wise, that has always been across the board something to watch

when it came to Destiny's Child and all the work that you did. Why not merchandise? I feel like that's like second nature normally for music artists. Yeah. Well, we did it, you know, and I think I stopped doing merchandise around 2012, 2013

as I just got onto more projects and just got busy. And we just moved on to other things. As simple as that. Got you. So when you say that there's no official merchandise, there was never any official merchandise,

you just mean, like, what does that mean then if there was some, I guess, I mean since 2012, there hasn't been official merchandise. I mean, I even saw the other day, you can go to Amazon as like five or six companies selling Destiny Shal merchandise. You can go to even a number of store, Walmart, even dot com is selling. Yeah, but that's all unaffected. official merchandise. That's not official merchandise. Those companies don't have the right, the legal right to put out any Destiny's Child merchandise. Well, and I know you handle,

I mean, still manager of Destiny's Child, number one, but I also know you handle all of the licensing and stuff like that as well too, right? Because you are owner of the brand. Like, do you Yeah, I own the trademark, Destiny Shaw? Do you then have conversations? Like, once you drop your merchandise, are you also planning to have conversations with these other places to let them know, legally like that can't happen like will there be a stop put to to those other places? Cease and desist. Yeah, my attorneys will deal with that. Got you.

Okay. Look, heard you missed the nose. Okay. So another question on the music and then I know we want to get into the tribute as well. How new is this? Like when we spoke, you mentioned that you guys just started working on this project with the remixes as of what,

when? Last week. As of last week. it's that new. It's just an idea that hit me that look, we're doing all of these things and we need to connect the dots and I

just moved, I have these storage facilities all over the country. I just consolidated the storage facilities. And I said, look, we should now put out these remixes that we've had. We've had, and we have new music

that's never been heard before on Kelly and Beyonce on Michelle. Now that's different because they would have to approve that. But this needs a solo. Like you have Destiny's Child stuff that you're going to release, but you have

solo stuff from the girls too that is separate that you're saying they would have to approve. Correct. Yeah. Wow. Wow. And then so the Destiny's Child remixes then, I'm assuming they have approved. They're working with you on how it rolls out and all the things. They're not

working with me on how it rolls out, but they approved them. Got you. They've been approved years ago. So then how do you A&R or projects then? Like are you doing all that yourself too?

I've always, always every Destiny's Child and Beyonce's first albums, Solange's first two albums, Michelle's four albums, and Kelly's first two albums A&R. Yeah, I think people,

I think people forget just music. just the work that you put in kind of behind the scenes, not even just on the executive and business side of it, but from the actual creative side as well, too, which is why, you know, we see things be so great. Well, at some point, look at the credits on the writers of the song Survivor. You'll see B-nose, M-nose, A-dent.

Now let's talk about the reimagined tribute that you have. And I know that we're also celebrating 30. There's another anniversary like parallel right now. The survivor, yeah, the survivor, uh, song Survivor, yeah. Yes. So the reimagined tour, I know you're in Houston right now.

Tribute. It's a tribute. I use that word. I use that word tour the first time and I got the fans went nuts. Yeah, because you know everybody's waiting on the things. Like, are we going to get a tour or not? Well, I always say this. We know that

it wouldn't be surprising if Beyonce comes out with a new album. We all know that. And hopeful for that. I thought you said she was working. on new music. Yeah, that's what I was saying. Yeah, it's really no surprise.

But the life cycle of that would be what a tour that she would do, first you put out the album, then around 18 months, a year and a half, you then start working on the tour. And maybe three years from now, or two and a half years from now, there'll be a tour that'll go on for two years. Michelle Williams just got off of Broadway after 12 years and we'll be, I'm sure, announced soon on another project that she'll be doing on Broadway. Kelly, you know, is working on music and also working on film and TV.

So that becomes very difficult. We know there's no way in the next five years there's going to be a Destiny Child album because they're all working on projects. and you know who knows what might happen then but that's their decision to make but most people don't understand the music industry and how the times and how the time lines are with putting out albums or being on Broadway

you don't just get off a Broadway because you want to do a Destiny Child and you don't just get off of the Beyonce tour because you want to do a Destiny Child so, you know, these things have to be timed out correctly. Mm-hmm. I got you. And then so your tribute that you have, the Destiny's Child Reimagined Tribute, duration, I mean, you mentioned to me about like three years,

so there will be different iterations of this tribute. Talk to us a bit about that. It's, again, it's like a tour. We're calling it a tribute so that people don't get it confused that it's Destiny's child of the members. But you always start in a, uh, a, uh, a, Routing, we say tour routing. You always start in the eight market cities, the largest cities. And then you go to the B markets, like a Charlotte, North Carolina, or a Cleveland, Ohio. And then you go to the C markets, like a Columbus, Ohio, or Birmingham, Alabama. And so you schedule those things. And it's always pretty much they've been mapped out for years with cities that we go to. So we'll do Destiny's Child.

And then first quarter of next year, we'll begin on the Beyonce tribute of her first three albums, the one that she did with me and that I also executive produced. And then fourth quarter of next year, we hope to announce our Earth, Win and Fire, who I had the opportunity when I was the president of Music World Sanctuary to have done Bruce, I'm a Bruce to have done the last album that I just had a mental blank what's his name that Maris that Maris did before he died

so that's a very special album the rest of the members we just had on a yeah yeah it's a very special album so we'll do Destiny's I mean Earth Win a Fire tribute so you know and then we'll do those starting

to do Destiny's Child internationally. You know, Destiny's Child. Believe it or not, all the records that Destiny's Child is sold in America, they've sold more records outside of America. So we would, well, let's think about it. There's only 320 million people in America. There's 7.5 billion more people outside of America. So we understood that.

And so this trip will be big in Europe. It'll be big in Australia. and be big in Japan and Brazil. So we'll, you know, it's a world thing, not just America. We have, we have, this will blow your mind. We have about five, at least five thousand hours. It took us six years to transfer this to digital. We have over 5,000 hours of video that you guys have never seen behind the stage footage, day-to-day stuff. When does it date back to? It dates back to 1986. Wow.

So that's like you weren't even born. I know. I'm like, that's like all of the career right there. Like, wow. Yeah. Okay. And it's not just. on Destiny Child or Beyonce. We have

salon stuff. We have life ginning stuff. Mario. You know, all of our artists. We have some Earth, Winter Fire. We have some OJs behind the scenes. All the artists that we either managed or we were the record label. We have a large

catalog. I was way ahead of the curve in everything we did that we had a video camera rolling. Was there any moment as you were like, I mean, it took you some years so you've probably been reminiscent for some time but were there any moments where you were like man wow like look at this and look at where everything where all of the business and all of the

acts and all the talent ended up where it really got you i've been many there many many many moments of that uh of just looking back and and and looking back with gratitude also yeah uh with a lot of gratitude that uh it could have been someone else but it was me and it was my kids and artists that I had the opportunity to work with. You know, most people don't even know that I work with Nas. I was his manager on his biggest record he ever did. So there's a lot. People don't know I did the last De La Sol record on my record label.

A Shakit Khan and a London Symphony are the last two OJ's records on my label. Are the big hit that Ray J did, one wish on my label, or that I bought these young black men. men, five of them, their management companies, and they all reported to me. And they had artists like Mary J. Blydez, artists like Mary Mary, artists like, oh gosh, Kelly did The Dilema with, help me out there. Nellie. Nellie. Nellie's management company I purchased. Wow. Okay. So that's a lot about what we've done at Music World and over the 30 years that you guys just know a bit of the Beyonce Salonge Kelly, Michelle, Destiny Shaw.

That probably equals maybe what you know, probably 25%, maybe. So, I mean, I know that you're talking about releasing some of this stuff and whichever way you're thinking. But it sounds to me like you might have enough for like a document. I know you guys or Beyonce has done things. Was it AMC or was it Netflix? She's done it with both. Yeah. Yeah.

You might have another run of that. That's a lot of like, not y'all. I will. You, yes, you. But when I said y'all, I just meant all the stories that you just mentioned. Like, that's a lot of them. And I think right now people are really appreciating trying to understand the business better, the history because everything's changing everybody's having to like figure it out by themselves um especially

yeah and you're right the business has changed and and again uh you know Mario I I managed to record cycles life Jennings I managed two record cycles um we've done a whole lot of stuff that people just don't know we bought Eves Eves management company you know a lot of things you know a lot of things happen. And by the way, Lady Gaga, the same management company that I bought, they also managed Lady Gaga and Eve. So when you see songs like Telephone with Beyonce and Lady Gaga, you now say, oh, he was the manager for both. Or you see Nellie and Kelly, you now can say, oh, he bought Nelly's management company. That's why that happened.
