Starting point is 00:00:00 Had enough of this country? Ever dreamt about starting your own? I planted the flag. This is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Or maybe not. No country willingly gives up their territory. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:00:16 What is that? Bullets. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. We need help! That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey guys, I'm Kate Max. You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast
Starting point is 00:00:46 Post Run High is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. The Breakfast Club. Good morning, Angelique. Peace to the planet. Guess what day it is. Guess what day it is.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Pump day. Yes, Envy's in Detroit, but he's running a little late because it did snow there. Yes, salute to everybody. Nadir, what up, though? Good morning to everyone. I feel great this morning. That's good. Because I am blessed black and highly favored. It was a pleasure to wake up this morning. It was a privilege to wake up this morning and be a black man.
Starting point is 00:02:45 And then I came in here and I started having a conversation with our cameraman, Steve, who was just so full of negativity early in the morning. Okay, talking to me
Starting point is 00:02:52 about how it doesn't matter what color his skin is because he has a black cloud over his head. I don't want that kind of negativity around me. All right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Okay? Jesus Christ. You can actually, the direction of your life is widely influenced by how your attitude is. Yes. Steve's attitude
Starting point is 00:03:11 is very negative. Yes, your thoughts become things, people. You know what I'm saying? Like, you know, if you want positive things to happen in your life, think positive thoughts.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Okay? Everything starts with a thought. Everything is mental. Could you change your mindset a little bit this morning, Steve? You want some breakfast? Huh? I'll buy you some breakfast.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Buy him some breakfast. You want some Chick-fil-A? We'll get you some Chick-fil-A. We're going to get Steve some Chick-fil-A, man. That's amazing. Goddamn. Cheers, mood up. Please. See if we can get this black cloud out of here because we got to be in here with that black cloud. Oh my gosh. Look, we just got a present. I got a present from Too Short. Too Short. I don't know if I'm allowed... I know damn well Too Short, Carson.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Drom, you dumped and didn't even know what the hell you dumped. You said what? You can't say that? Yes, you can. Yeah, you can say bitch. I thought you said it wrong. No. Bitch.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Yeah, that's all. We just got this from Too Short. Anyway. I'm going to use this so much. I love... That's going to be so annoying. I love music that makes me's gonna be so annoying. I love music that, uh,
Starting point is 00:04:07 makes me learn more about a person. And I've been listening to Offset Father for all weekend. Mm-hmm. That's why I wasn't here on Friday and Monday
Starting point is 00:04:14 because I was in, uh... I think it's because you were listening to Offset. I mean, I was... I didn't come in. I really wanted to digest his album. I was on a little vacation
Starting point is 00:04:22 with the wife and I was listening to the album. And I learned a lot about Offset. Yes. He talks a lot about his album. I was on a little vacation with the wife, and I was listening to the album. And I learned a lot about Offset. Yes. He talks a lot about his family and his relationship or lack of relationship with his father. He talks about his four children, the circumstances under which he had them. He apologizes to Cardi for his mistakes.
Starting point is 00:04:39 He talks about his accident, everything. Yeah, it's just a very mature album. So I'm saying all that to say Offset will be here this morning. Okay? We're going to have a conversation with a father of four this morning. Envy's a father of five.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Charlemagne Tha God is a father of three. Offset's a father of four. Angelina is a father of none because she's a woman. Thank you. Thank you for noticing. We'll have a conversation with Offset this morning.
Starting point is 00:05:05 All right. What we got on front page news, G? Well, let's talk about someone else who was a father, and that is Donald Trump. Oh, God. We'll tell you how today is a big day for him in many ways. He's meeting with King Jong-un, but we'll tell you who is going to be talking about him today in court. All right. We'll talk about all that and more when we come back.
Starting point is 00:05:23 It's the world's most dangerous morning show, The Breakfast Club. Wake up, goddammit! Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tribe owned country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh, my God. What is that?
Starting point is 00:06:08 Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, guys. I'm Kate Max.
Starting point is 00:06:29 You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast, Post High is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout? Well, that's when the real magic happens. So if you love hearing real, inspiring stories from the people you know, follow, and admire, join me every week for Post Run High. It's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the heart of it all.
Starting point is 00:07:16 It's lighthearted, pretty crazy, and very fun. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself, and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have
Starting point is 00:08:13 grace with yourself. You're trying your best and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, it's DJ, MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. What's happening? Happy Wednesday. I'm out here in Detroit.
Starting point is 00:08:36 The weather's pretty nasty, so if you're from Detroit and you're listening, give yourself a little extra time, alright? Now let's get into some front page news. What are we talking about, Yee? right, well let's talk about Donald Trump. He's meeting with Kim Jong-un today, and he tweeted out all false reporting, guessing on my intentions
Starting point is 00:08:51 with respect to North Korea. Kim Jong-un and I will try very hard to work something out on denuclearization and then making North Korea an economic powerhouse. I believe that China, Russia, Japan, and South Korea will be very helpful. So that meeting is going down today. Also today.
Starting point is 00:09:07 I'm all for diplomacy. I'm all for world peace. You know what I'm saying? I definitely don't want to be going to war with North Korea. I have North Korea trying to go to war with us, so why not? Not at all. Also today, Donald Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, is going to be talking some more. He testified for about nine hours before the committee with closed doors yesterday. It's the first of his three consecutive congressional appearances that are happening this week.
Starting point is 00:09:32 It's one public and two private sessions. And they are saying today they expect that he's going to discuss publicly for the first time what Donald Trump's role was in some of the crimes that he pleaded guilty to last year. So he's going to give behind-the-scenes details. I love how they make his ratting sound so eloquent. You know what I'm saying? They make his snitching sound so, like, highbrow. Okay? We got to start talking about the Kaji 6ix9ine like that.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Well, here's what Michael Cohen has to say. At this point in time, I really appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to clear the record and to tell the truth and I look forward to being able to in my voice to tell the American people my story and I'm going to let the American people decide. People love snitching as long as they
Starting point is 00:10:16 don't like the person who's getting snitched on. That's right. Alright, so as you know, Michael Cohen reports to prison on May 6th for a three year sentence. He pleaded guilty to tax crimes, campaign finance violations, and also for lying to Congress in his previous testimony. He's also been disbarred, FYI. Donald Trump, you need to really, really, really just tweet out rat bastard one time just for the culture. All right, and Kamala Harris, she was asked by The Root in an interview whether she thinks that sex work should be decriminalized.
Starting point is 00:10:46 And here's how she responded. I think so. I think that we have to understand, though, that it is not as simple as that. But when you're talking about consenting adults, I think that, you know, yes, we should really consider that we can't criminalize consensual behavior as long as no one is being harmed. All right. And well, she talks about Backpage and shutting down Backpage. And she said that's because they were providing advertisements for the sale of children of minors.
Starting point is 00:11:12 So she called for them to be shut down. She said she has no regrets about that. Listen, I think it's great news for everyone who sucks D4 living. It's just like the weed game. You know what I'm saying? This isn't something you should get thrown under the jail for. Most of these people just trying to make a little living. And it's something that makes the world a better place.
Starting point is 00:11:27 You're standing for this, huh? I don't think there's anything wrong with decriminalizing sexual violence. I mean, in some places it's already decriminalized. It's legal. And so that's why you see shows like Gigolo and you saw the Bunny Ranch and all of that. And they do try to provide a safe environment. But I just think that you have to really closely monitor something like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:45 And listen, I do want to tell all you publications like the New York Times and whoever else, start giving black outlets their credit when you run these stories about the presidential candidates. Make sure you credit the Griot. Make sure you credit the Root. Make sure you credit the Breakfast Club. I had to hit one of the writers the other day. Why?
Starting point is 00:12:01 Because they ran a story and they'll be like, Kamala Harris said in an interview, or Cory Booker said in a radio interview, no, give the Breakfast Club their goddamn credit. You know what I'm saying? Don't just say radio interview. Don't just say host.
Starting point is 00:12:15 You know what I mean? Okay. So salute to Astead Wesley. Wesley Astead, I think his name is. Yeah, give him credit for you hitting him. Yeah, he did. And when I hit him, he changed it, so salute to him, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:12:27 Good thing you did there, New York Times. Alright. Well, that is your Front Page News. Alright, thank you, Miss Yeen. Now, don't forget, Offset will be joining us next hour, but right now, get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you're upset, you need to vent, hit us up right now.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Or maybe you feel blessed and you want to spread some positivity. Whatever it may be. 800-585-1051. Hit us up right now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Is your country falling apart?
Starting point is 00:12:58 Feeling tired? Depressed? A little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of
Starting point is 00:13:16 Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tribe own country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:13:36 What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. Starting point is 00:15:49 Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed. So you better have the same energy. We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? Good morning. My name is Jet Jackson. What's up? Angelique, DJ Envy, and
Starting point is 00:16:13 Shala McGay. You said your name is Shala McGay. You said your name is Janet Jackson? Yeah. No, Jet. You heard Mom Jet. You remember Jet Jackson, the guy from G's League? Maybe you don't. Okay, whatever. No, we don't remember who Jed Jackson is. What do you want this morning, sir? Get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:16:28 I just wanted to say, I have a point, but I have a larger point. I just wanted to say how I like a little breeze outside, but it is really, really windy Williams outside today. Where you at? In the words of Sykeia Nicole from the Getting Grown podcast, ladies, put your name and address on your wigs today. Where you at? Because, where am I?
Starting point is 00:16:48 I'm in Florida. I'm in South Florida. Okay, it's windy. It's windy in South Florida? Wow. No, the part that I'm in, I'm in an undisclosed location in South Florida. Why is it undisclosed? Because, like, can't nobody know where I'm at.
Starting point is 00:17:01 Are you sure that it's wind or is that, you still feel the breeze from that young man blowing in your butt hole? Whoa. See, you always got to talk about problems with James. It's so early to talk about butts. I know. How did that even happen just now? I don't know, James. That's from the same.
Starting point is 00:17:14 A little butt hole for breakfast never hurt nobody, sir. Thank you, sir. Tell him about it. Have a good day. You can turn anything to a butt, Sean. That's a fact. It's a gift. All right.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Hello, who's this? This is Rod. Rod, what up? Get it off your chest, bro. Hey, well, I was just saying, I have about two weeks ago, I called you guys. I was telling you about my daughter,
Starting point is 00:17:32 DJ Marley954. Yes, sir. Yeah, well, she got mad at me. She said, I didn't want a shout out. I wanted to say hi to the guys there because she likes you guys. Don't put her on. Hi, Angel.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Hi, MC. Hi, Uncle Shar on. Hi, Angela. Hi, MC. Hi, Uncle Sharla. Hi, beautiful. Hey, how are you? Good morning. Oh, you stay focused, all right? You stay focused and if you want to be a DJ,
Starting point is 00:17:56 then you just learn to be the best DJ you can, okay? That's the best advice you got, huh? That's his advice. All right. Talk to the DJ, DJ Envy. Well, you keep pushing on, Mom, and one day hopefully you can come in and DJ for us.
Starting point is 00:18:07 You said your advice is just as generic as mine. I know. I couldn't think of nothing either. Who's your favorite DJ? Sharla. Huh? My favorite's Uncle Sharla. Oh.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Oh, thank you, baby. But he's not a DJ. I appreciate that. Because he can get everybody mad, but one person, just one person. That's not a good thing, baby. Yeah, I don't know how positive that was.
Starting point is 00:18:32 I'm glad that you appreciate my gifts. You can get one person mad. Alright, thank you, mama. Thank you, baby. Have a great day. Yo, yo. Hey, Charlamagne, man, thank you, man. Thank you for what you did for the rap game. I wish you was still in town
Starting point is 00:18:48 because it's a lot of jive going around now. What did I do for the rap game, sir? He changed, man. Your flow is undeniable. Hey, don't talk that gloat, man. I'm giving you a compliment, man. I can't boost you up no more, b****. I'm...
Starting point is 00:19:00 What? But secondly, I want to say, man, don't take away the prostitution. What? What are you talking about? Don't take away prostitution. First of all, I'm still confused because I don't know what I did for the rap game. And we're not taking away prostitution.
Starting point is 00:19:15 What are you talking about, sir? I didn't say you were taking away prostitution. Y'all were talking about prostitution. Oh, no. Kamala Harris decriminalized sex work. No, she did not decriminalize it. What did she do? She said she's for decriminalizing it. Oh, she's for decriminalizing sex No, she did not decriminalize it. What did she do? She said she's for decriminalizing it.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Oh, she's for decriminalizing sex work. She did not decriminalize it. If a man pay for anything, it's the intent. It's the intent that if he takes you out to dinner and he is the intent just to take you out to eat, then it's not like a, what was y'all saying? How do you say it? What are you talking about? I don't know what you're talking about, my brother.
Starting point is 00:19:42 What does going to dinner have to do with prostitution? No, because earlier, no, because earlier y'all was talking about, y'all said something about, oh, if a man take you out, he basically tricking. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was yesterday. You must have been listening to the pre-show. Yeah, 530. Hey, I'm going to tell you something, my brother.
Starting point is 00:19:56 I'm tired of talking to you. Have a nice day, all right? Blessings to you. Didn't you just hung up on him? Well, his daughter did say you can make anybody mad. That was a totally different call, Indy. You're talking about the call before him. What's going on? It's the same guy. No, it wasn't.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Where are we? It wasn't? No, man. No. Anyway, get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, hit us up now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Let's go. This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're man or flesh,
Starting point is 00:20:27 we want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. So if you got something on your mind, let it out. Hello, who's this? This is Chandler from Columbus, Ohio. Good morning, y'all. What's up, bro? Get it off your chest. Well, one thing I want to give a shout-out to Travis Scott. He came Sunday.
Starting point is 00:20:43 He had pit bulls, Rottweilers dancing. He had a Ferris wheel. He had a roller coaster. It was like a carnival. Is this Universal Circus? Yes. I mean, damn near. His concert was damn near.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Just YouTube and stuff. It's crazy. I ain't going to lie. Travis Scott be sounding good on these dudes' albums, man. He got a song with Offset called Legacy That's Hard. He got a song on 2 Chainz' new album called Whip That's Hard. Yeah, he cold, he cold. But I want to get a shout-out to
Starting point is 00:21:09 Sean May. Yes, sir. You eat store-brand ketchup. Yes, sir. You're a goddamn fool if you think that all ketchup tastes the same, because it's clearly not the same. The Heinz is the best ketchup. Now, Hunt's is terrible, but Heinz is the best. All that other crap
Starting point is 00:21:25 tastes like sugar water. Well, I salute to you, ketchup connoisseur. There's nothing wrong with sugar water, either. Some of us grew up on sugar water, sir. Not on fries. Hello, who's this? This is Nari Clayton Taylor, the 2019 Elementary Teacher of the Year
Starting point is 00:21:42 for Kentucky. Hey, drop one of the clues, boss, for the 2019 Elementary School Teacher of the Year, Kentucky. Hey, drop one of the cool vibes for the 2019 Elementary School Teacher of the Year, baby. Good morning, mama. And I'm blessed. There you go. I'm blessed. Do you want to know why? Yes, we would love to know why.
Starting point is 00:21:54 I am blessed because students in my program, third and ninth grade, just finished their kids' Black History Cypher, and they remixed the essay, and y'all need to go to it and play it, and Charlamagne, you will not fart on these bars. Okay. Hey, I'm going to tell you something. I love when the kids take songs and turn them into lessons planned, man. The first time I heard that was when I was in Milwaukee
Starting point is 00:22:16 at Principal Maggie Olsen's school, and they remixed House Party into something about math or something like that. It was dope. It's a great way to remember all the rules. Yeah, this is using the Going Bad remix from Drake and Meek Mill. Oh, okay. Kids Black History Cypher.
Starting point is 00:22:34 Where can we see that? On YouTube. So type in Kids Black History Cypher? With the Y. C-Y-P-H-E-R. And then my name is not Reclaim Taylor, and you'll see it. Now, hold on. First of all, how do you spell cypher for real? Is C-Y? I thought it was C-R. And then my name is not reclaimed Taylor, and you'll see it. Now, hold on. First of all, how do you spell Cypher for real?
Starting point is 00:22:47 It's C-Y? I thought it was C-I. That's what I should tell you. It's C-Y. Okay, just making sure you're spelling it right. Thank you, Mama. Thank you, Miss English Teacher. My mom's an English teacher.
Starting point is 00:22:55 My mom's been an English teacher for over 30 years. How do you just hang up on an English teacher? That is disgusting. You said goodbye. You can't say goodbye and then add more. Hello, who's this? Hello. Hey, what's your. Oh, you're right. Hello, who's this? Hello. Hey, what's your name?
Starting point is 00:23:07 My name's Mike. Mike, what's up? Get it off your chest, Mike. What's up, man? I just want to say the 937, the Dayton area as well, is highly slept on, on the music side of things, man. You real? Why are we sleeping?
Starting point is 00:23:20 Why are you sleeping? Because we got a lot of talent, man. There's a lot of upcoming artists from this area that need to recognize. Do you rap? Yeah, I rap. Let me hear something. Oh, Lord. That's good.
Starting point is 00:23:33 That sounded good. No, no, no. I got you. I'm coming for that top spot. Hotter than a crock pot. Every time she see me, she turns on like I'm a hot spot. Hot pot. I call it public nudity.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Nudity. When I'm in that drop top. Drop top. When all the stress in the trap look like a barbershop. Your flow is'm a hot spot. Hot pot. Public nudity. Nudity. When I'm in that drop top. Drop top. All the stress in the trap look like a barbershop. Barbershop. Your flow is like a wristwatch. Homie, mine is nonstop. They tell you turn it up a notch and I'm already top notch.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Homie, this is rap. What's on my hip will make you hop. And I heard we live in hell. Main reason that I smoke pop. All right. Woo! Hey, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo. Guess what rhymes with fart?
Starting point is 00:24:05 What? Nothing. Fart. Go. Go. Do you shop at Topshop? Fart all over his bars. Thank you for calling, man.
Starting point is 00:24:12 You stay with it, man. You are not a star. Oh, my goodness. You need to stay in school. Don't try to rap them all. Get it off your chest. 800-585-151. I should have said no more.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Damn. Don't try to rap no more. We got rumors on the way. Yes, we are going to-1511. I should have said no more. Damn. Don't try to rap no more. We got rumors on the way? Yes, we are going to talk about this Vegas residency, which I'm pretty excited for. Also, we'll discuss a very tasteless joke that got somebody kicked out of a comedy show. All right, we'll get into all that when we come back.
Starting point is 00:24:37 And don't forget, Offset will be joining us next hour. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Bad little vibe. By the way, that's young boy slang. You can't be a certain age and be talking to these girls talking about, you're a bad little vibe. Yeah, because you sound
Starting point is 00:24:53 stupid. Morning, everybody. You sound so creepy. It's DJ MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get to these rumors. Let's talk of Vegas residency. Listen up. It's just in. All the gossip. Gossip. The rumor report.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Gossip. Gossip. With Angela Yee. It's the rumor report. The Breakfast Club. Well, I will make this trip to Vegas to go see Janet Jackson. She's going to do her first ever Vegas residency. And that starts May 17th.
Starting point is 00:25:19 It's called Metamorphosis. That show is going to run until August. When they say these people have residencies, where they be having residencies at? Like different hotels or something? Yeah, different hotels. Hers is at the MGM, I believe. Yeah. Is that correct?
Starting point is 00:25:30 I want you to know, man, that's how you know you're getting old. You know you're getting old when the artists you grew up in start getting Vegas residencies. How many we got now? Yeah, because Britney Spears had one. J-Lo, Britney, Mariah. Janet now. Yeah, listen, I'm excited. I'll take my mom to that one.
Starting point is 00:25:43 She'll be excited. I feel like T.I. got a Vegas residency, too. Yeah, it's at the Park MGMs, the one that she has. Well, the rappers do. They do it at the club, though. That's a little different. That's at Dre's. Yeah, it's at Dre's.
Starting point is 00:25:52 It's a little different. A lot different, actually. But Celine Dion's, obviously, we know that. Mariah, the Backstreet Boys, they've all had Vegas shows as well. And Gaga, Lady Gaga has one. Mm-hmm. All right, now let's discuss Pete Davidson. He was performing in South Orange.
Starting point is 00:26:07 That's where my parents live, at the South Orange Performing Arts Center. And he was talking about a friend of his and somebody said something very disrespectful in the audience. Listen to this. Oh, my friend died in my apartment. Oh, Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Who's that guy? I'll wait, i'll wait i'll wait i will not i'll continue i will not continue until that gets gone but whatever i'll leave so if you want to show to continue call out the person who did and we gotta get the f**k out get his money back and get the f**k out the person what'd he say so he said my friend died in my apartment he was you know starting off a story and and somebody yelled out Mac Miller. Yikes. And that's when he had that person removed from the audience. And he would not continue the show until that person was removed.
Starting point is 00:26:53 And he also said, give that person their money back, because he don't want their money. Dropping the clues bombs for my guy Pete Davidson, man. Pete Davidson is a class act. That's not no funny joke. That's why he's my guy. He's all heart. No Mac Miller slander will prosper. All right. And Bebe Rexha. Let's not no funny joke. That's why he's my guy. He's all heart. No Mac Miller slander will prosper. All right.
Starting point is 00:27:06 And Bebe Rexha. Let's talk about her. Now, she posted a message that her dad sent to her and her fans also. Now, she said, my dad hates me. And she posted a message from him where he said, yo, you better stop posting stupid pornography because you make me sick. I can't take this anymore. Embarrassed to go in public everywhere. I can go. I'm very upset with you. I can't
Starting point is 00:27:28 believe it. What's the problem? Alright, well she posted that and then her fans started going in on her dad. Now you know when you say things like that, I guess it's okay for you to go in on your dad but you don't want other people to do it. Just like it's okay for you to go in on somebody close to you
Starting point is 00:27:43 but you don't want everyone to chime in. And her dad was just upset because he didn't like her new music video. He felt like it was too sexy. That's her daddy. Yeah, that's her dad. Okay, if you don't have daughters, you don't understand. I got three of them, okay? I'm definitely gonna probably be the same exact way. Absolutely. Alright, well here's what she had
Starting point is 00:28:00 to say to those of her fans who started going in. He didn't like the video. The video's a lot. But my fans were getting a little too intense, so I yelled at my fans. No, because they're saying some mean s*** about my dad, and he might have said something a little heated in the moment.
Starting point is 00:28:15 I feel dumb for showing the screenshot. I was being sarcastic with my fans. But, you know, my fans are going a little crazy over the text and screenshot that he sent. She needs to understand that sarcasm is a lost art on social media. Okay, sarcasm is lost upon this era. Sarcasm is something you have to hear.
Starting point is 00:28:30 You have to see it in somebody's face. You can't read it on social media. So people don't know you're being sarcastic. Well, she hasn't spoken to her dad now in two weeks. So she said she's going to have to fly back home to New York in order to have that sit-down conversation. Why do you matter to dad for being a dad? Like, yes, a dad is probably going to see his daughter half-naked or twerking in the video and be like, yo, tone that down down conversation. Why do you matter to dad for being a dad? Like, yes, a dad is probably going to see his daughter half naked or twerking in the video
Starting point is 00:28:48 and be like, yo, tone that down, please. No father want to think about a bunch of men lusting after his daughter? Right. I mean, listen, it is what it is. She posted it and she put my dad hates me and her fans, I guess, were trying to, I don't know, maybe. I probably wouldn't have posted something like that. Crazy thing is, though, man, as a father, you know, I have three girls. You just got to know that one day your daughters are going to have sex.
Starting point is 00:29:10 Okay? Because guess what? You're having sex with somebody's daughter. But you don't want to, I don't want to think about that right now. I know you don't, but guess what? Your wife and my wife is somebody's daughter, Envy. I'm just letting you know that we have to embrace the fact. I don't want to think about that right now.
Starting point is 00:29:20 We have time. We have to embrace the fact that one day somebody's going to look at our daughters and say, yo, that's somebody I want to be with and procreate with. We have time. No. Evie, how old is your daughter? Two.
Starting point is 00:29:33 No, no, no. How old is the oldest? Five. Knock it off. How old is the oldest? 17. Whoa! I don't know how much time
Starting point is 00:29:41 you have. What you going about? We have time. I don't know how much time you got left, buddy. How old were you when you lost your virginity? We're not talking about that you have. We have time. I don't know how much time you got left, buddy. How old were you when you lost your virginity? We're not talking about that. It was a different time.
Starting point is 00:29:50 And you about to take her to go see colleges? You sure you want her to go to a black university? My best friend from high school lost her virginity on a college trip. Wow. What? With her parents there? Her parents didn't go. Oh.
Starting point is 00:30:04 My oldest is 10. I got time. I'm sorry. I Her parents didn't go. Oh, well, my oldest is 10. I got time. I'm sorry, I just had to say that. I got time too. My daughter's not going to college. She's getting home soon. But how about you when you lost your virginity? I don't want to talk about it. Listen, a lot of guys don't want to accept that fact. The women that we love, the women that
Starting point is 00:30:19 we're sleeping with, they're somebody's daughters too. So that's why calm is real. I was 17. You better treat these people's daughters like you're somebody's daughters. Whoa, you were 17? And Gia was 16. So it's a good chance that... Shut up, man.
Starting point is 00:30:32 We got time. Let's go to the next story. We have time. Let's go to the next story. She's getting homeschooled. Ariana Grande is now the most followed woman on Instagram. Previously, it was Selena Gomez.
Starting point is 00:30:42 But now Ariana Grande has taken that spot. She has over 148 million followers. What's the Jenna girl name? Which one? No, she's not the most followed. No, I thought she was at one point. Now, Selena Gomez had actually
Starting point is 00:30:59 replaced Taylor Swift as the most popular Instagram user back in December of 2016. So do you know who's the most followed person on Instagram? Because we're just talking about women. Who? If you had to guess. Barack Obama.
Starting point is 00:31:13 Nope. I have no idea. All right. The most followed person on Instagram is Cristiano Ronaldo, who is a soccer star. So, yes. Okay. All right. I'm Angela Yee, and that is your rumor report.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Safe to say I don't care about none of those people you just named. Well, 155 million people care about Cristiano Ronaldo. Congratulations to him. He's a rich guy, I'm sure. All right. Now we got front page news coming up. Yee, what are we talking about? I thought we got Offset coming.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Oh, we do got front page news. Come on, guys. Let's get it together. He's coming up next now after front page news. Yes. We are going to be talking about Donald Trump. He's got a lot of things happening today, and we'll fill you in on what that is. All right, we'll get into all that when we come back.
Starting point is 00:31:51 Keep it locked. This is The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same. You don't need snow to have an adult snow day. Head to eBay this winter and make the most of your money shopping eBay deals with our best price guarantee. Plus, free shipping on millions of items.
Starting point is 00:32:07 If it's happening on your adult snow day, it's happening on eBay. Hi, everybody. It's DJ MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get some front page news. What are we talking about, Yee? Well, today, Donald Trump will be meeting with Kim Jong-un.
Starting point is 00:32:22 And he wrote on Twitter that he does believe that North Korea does have tremendous potential, economic potential. He said, all false reporting, guessing on my intentions with respect to North Korea. Kim Jong-un and I will try very hard to work something out on denuclearization and then making North Korea an economic powerhouse. Hey, man, diplomacy is great. We should all be hoping for peace with North Korea. All right. So this is the second time that they are meeting. Now, speaking of second time's meeting, Michael Cohen, who is Donald Trump's former personal attorney, is going to be speaking again today. You know, he has three sit downs where he's going to be talking about lying to Congress and he's going to be giving potential evidence
Starting point is 00:33:05 on Donald Trump's lies that he told as well. So he's going to discuss publicly for the first time Donald Trump's role in some of the crimes that his former lawyer pleaded guilty to last year. That's what they're saying. That's a beautiful way to word, snitching. Now here's Michael Cohen. At this point in time, I really appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to clear the record and to tell the truth.
Starting point is 00:33:29 And I look forward to being able to, in my voice, to tell the American people my story. And I'm going to let the American people decide. Hey, man, he's going to do a sit down and provide information. OK, this culture frowns upon snitching until they don't like the person that's being snitched on. Yeah, I wouldn't be mad if I snitched on Donald Trump? No. No, not at all. But I'm just saying, that's just a beautiful way to word snitching because we never talk about 6ix9ine like that.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Alright, now there have been nearly 6,000 reports of sexual abuse involving unaccompanied immigrant children while in the custody of the United States government. That's all in the past four years. So this shows you there's a lot of things that are happening as these unaccompanied immigrant
Starting point is 00:34:07 children are in custody here. It's something that definitely has to be addressed. These are vulnerable children in difficult circumstances and so we have to make sure this is taken very seriously. And they said clearly this administration is not equipped to keep these children safe inside of their facilities.
Starting point is 00:34:24 Can you imagine that? Not only are you separated from your child, but then they are sexually abused while in custody in the United States. Never to be the same again. They said there's allegations of sexual abuse by staff members on minors, over 800 allegations of unaccompanied children sexually abusing other children, and other accusations of sexual abuse of unaccompanied children sexually abusing other children and other accusations of sexual abuse of unaccompanied children included adults who did not even work at the facility. And nothing will happen to the abusers, I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:34:53 These poor, vulnerable children. All right, well, that is your Front Page News. All right, thank you, Miss Yee. Now, when we come back, Offset, he'll be joining us. His album, Father of Four, is out right now. Of course, you know Offset He'll be joining us His album Father of Four Is out right now Of course you know Offset from the Migos I love when I listen to
Starting point is 00:35:08 Albums and I learn More about a person And that's what I feel Like happened when I Listen to Father of Four From Offset I love the evolution Of human beings
Starting point is 00:35:17 I feel like Offset Is evolving right Before our eyes Alright we'll kick it With him when we come back So don't move It's the Breakfast Club Good morning
Starting point is 00:35:24 Morning everybody It's DJ Envy Angela Yee Char So don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building. Yes, sir. His album is out right now,
Starting point is 00:35:32 Father of Four. Yes, sir. Offset. Offset. What's happening? Welcome, welcome. So first and foremost, why did you change
Starting point is 00:35:39 the name of the album? What was the name before? I thought it was another name of the album before. I ain't never put no name out. Ah. I just wanted, I did that for my kids, you of the album before. I ain't never put no name out. I did that for my kids. A lot of people only know about culture.
Starting point is 00:35:52 But yeah, I just wanted to focus on my kids. I got four kids and I've been having kids. Like my oldest son, nine. It's just growing up, maturing. The music, maturing, 27. I'm maturing. Seeing how I'm going through something. I had a rough year this year too, so I just wanted to focus on my kids and give out some good content music. That's interesting going through something. I had a rough year this year, too, so I just wanted to focus on my kids and give out some good content music. That's interesting to hear you say you had a rough year
Starting point is 00:36:08 because we saw you be in jail before and all of that. What made the year rough? You know. What made the year rough? Breakups, car accidents. People talking. Car accident, I almost lost my life on that one. Trying to save somebody else's life.
Starting point is 00:36:22 So it was just a time to grow up. I just wanted to show another side of me that people don't really see. It was very personal a lot of things that you told on this album. Like you talk about your relationship or not having a relationship with your dad. How does that affect you as far as how you treat your kids? Well growing up affected me a lot. That's why I think I was running around doing so much. I didn't really have no father guidance. So without that, and then you got the streets.
Starting point is 00:36:48 You just let the streets guide you. Your mama, you now, your mama become the person you're hiring from. Growing up, your mama was your dad. Yeah. Yeah. But it still be a different connection, you know what I mean? I don't really know how the connection would be because I ain't got no father. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:37:03 I make sure I reflect that on my kids, but it be hard sometimes with scheduling too because time is everything. How was it doing a photo shoot with all four of them at once. I actually had three photo shoots. I just posted the first rough draft, but we had three photo shoots. Y'all mind that, boy, because I got five, and that's the toughest thing ever. Making all of them smile, all of them look
Starting point is 00:37:20 straight. And then, you be working so hard, I'm trying to get it done, I'm not even really noticing. It's like 11, now it's 12 o'clock so then i'm getting frustrated but i gotta keep it in i'm like just calm down we couldn't get it done and coach is the toughest one because she's the youngest so she hungry she crying she's hungry she's crying she don't want to sit somewhere else for a little minute she's not trying to sit down period it was tough but we got out though you changed your diapers off set yeah i'm been doing that okay you said i'm big on that i've been doing that i've been doing that i've been doing that so even with the money and everything if they say the grandma's there the mama there you're like no i got him i just i feel like the moments be special too like even changing your child's pamper like
Starting point is 00:37:59 that's a special moment between you and your child now i was gonna ask with the nine-year-old with so much talking about culture of course because with cardi did he feel a certain way like damn they always talk about coaching don't talk about me or talk about my siblings nah he ain't never no no no no he he's still a kid i try to keep my kids kids so that instagram i don't really let them rock out on there like that you know what i mean he plays sports but no it ain't never been no comparison they be they be pressing me about seeing her and you know we got to put her on private planes because people we we just i try to keep my kids kids i don't want nobody that's why i never i They be pressing me About seeing her And you know We gotta put her On private planes Cause people We just I try to keep my kids
Starting point is 00:38:26 Kids I don't want nobody That's why I never I never moved to LA Cause I ain't I don't want cameras All in they face Cause one time
Starting point is 00:38:33 My oldest son was like Somebody said something To him in school And he like My daddy got more money Than you Yo daddy I beat him though
Starting point is 00:38:40 I beat him though Oh your son said that To another kid Yeah And then he He thought He thinking And then he was I was seeing how when he told me, and the teacher told me how he feeling like it's okay, so I had to whoop him about that. And I'm like, because I wanted him to be regular.
Starting point is 00:38:54 Daddy was telling the truth, though. Right. Who was the daddy? Who was the other daddy? I don't know. I keep him in public school, though, so, you know what I mean? Keep him a kid. Is it hard having more than one baby mama?
Starting point is 00:39:05 At times. But now at this point and all, you got to keep it about the kids. It's about the kids, yeah. This is what you need. I'm going to provide schooling. I'm going to provide housing. I'm going to provide transportation, but you provide your lifestyle. But I make sure that everybody, you know what I mean, everything good for the kids
Starting point is 00:39:22 because I want my kids in good housing. I don't want to be, I can't be, no, this one can't. Everybody has to have a nice place, a nice school district. I like that because if the moms are happy and comfortable, it makes the kids happy and comfortable because they're the ones that have to help make sure that the kids are good. So all the big moms got to have a Bentley truck. No.
Starting point is 00:39:43 We all got to just be having good transportation, good area to stay in with a good school district. You know, you were very honest about where you were at in your life when you had your kids. You know, you talk about, on Lick, about what you had to do in order to provide for your firstborn son, which was very difficult. And then you even talk about your daughter
Starting point is 00:40:02 and not even knowing for sure if that was your daughter at first. That was like one of the hardest moments of my life, to be honest. Because I was here and I have a kid, but she got to my mom on Facebook. And then when I see the kid, I know it's me. You know what I mean? But she's five months. I don't even know this. I know.
Starting point is 00:40:18 I seen her one time. I didn't even know what state. I know this is my daughter. This is my first daughter. But she's so beautiful. I couldn't do it like that. I just tried to be invisible. I couldn't know what state. I know this is my daughter. This is my first daughter. But she's so beautiful. I couldn't do it like that. I just tried to be invisible. I couldn't do that.
Starting point is 00:40:29 I just had to stand up. What was the decision to finally open the world up to culture? Because people were trying to see the pictures for as soon as y'all had it. What was the decision? The first time we saw it was on the cover of your album. People got so much to say. It's our daughter. You know, first you got to protect her.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Take the time to see what's going on first. first she's still like we still would probably not be just posting her all the time because it's like here you gotta keep something private man how do you figure out how much is too much to give to give it your personal life i don't feel like it's never too much when you're starting to grow and you being a grown man you know i mean because it's grown man talk about their issues they face it you. And it's okay to say you messed up. You know what I mean? That's what's good. I think the human part of it,
Starting point is 00:41:07 of you admitting the situation with your firstborn daughter and just saying how at first you didn't really want to believe this and how you had to come to accept it. But so many people have been in that position. And maybe it will encourage people to be better about stepping up and handling their responsibilities, no matter what the circumstances were. Just face it like a man. And so when I made that song, I just felt relieved, honestly.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Some of my partners didn't even know that. It's just like, there's things I was just keeping in, but I felt like this album gotta be different, cause I'm grown. I'm doing real grown man things. I can't keep talking about these diamonds and these cars. I was trying to put mood music on there, cause it was going through, that's why I was taking my time pushing back taking my time because i i wanted to be able to control the content because i feel like content music coming back around now we see you talk about the lean on that album too that you used to use lean a lot are you done with all the drug use at all right now i'm i'm cleaning that up right now you ain't you can't really work for real it's like you're a whole nother person no matter what you're doing and then you think you're not and i'm just starting to learn like what is it doing for me what i'm
Starting point is 00:42:08 doing for somebody else kid when they look at me you know what i'm doing for my kids when they're looking at me and they see everything if you got in the cup your cup i know how my kids see my son asked me like dad what you drinking i want some juice i'm just maturing bro i'm going through a little little thing i'm married now. And Cardi had issues with that too, right? Did she tell you, like, you gotta chill out on that or you can't come back in the house? Nah, she ain't do it like that. You know what I mean? She just, you know, they jab at you.
Starting point is 00:42:33 Stop doing that. I like you when you... And then you notice. Certain things you do, if you don't change it, you'll lose people around you. And you make poor decisions. Poor decisions come from that instant decisions because you're not you. And I ain't trying to do that no more. And I did that.
Starting point is 00:42:48 All right, we got more with Offset. When we come back, don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Offset is here.
Starting point is 00:42:59 His album, Father of Four, is out right now. Charlamagne? One of the reoccurring themes on your album, you talk about not wanting to have money just for yourself because that's selfish. You need to leave it for your kids. Exactly. So all these lifestyle changes is for that. I'm kicking the door, breaking the house because there wasn't no leftover
Starting point is 00:43:13 money from the family, ever. There was never no money. I don't never want to take my kids through that. How my kids going to be doing anything? They're struggling and I'm like this. I got all these cars and I got all this here and I'm a star. I be seeing Juice J, Nas see I be reading and watching like I put this money up put this money right here put this money right here then me and Cardi got to buy a house in Atlanta off your video like
Starting point is 00:43:36 we was just talking like we need to start doing this Cardi hit me one time about investing in Jersey University in Atlanta and that's what I like to see and the fact when I was talking out there he was like yeah I'm on that you know I mean and that's what I like to see. And the fact when I was talking to you out there, you was like, yeah, I'm on that. You know what I mean? And that's that wealth that you could say, here, my kids here, this is for y'all. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:43:49 You paid off that every month until y'all, give it to y'all kids and y'all kids' kids. And that's what it should be about. Yeah, man, I'm owning a business. I'm having houses. Trying to get these apartment complexes in Atlanta right now. Because I ain't know. Like, condos.
Starting point is 00:44:02 It's a little, it ain't nothing but little bins. Where I'm from. In Atlanta, where I'm from, they're $200,000. Listen, $230,000, $250,000. All these condos, you paying $3,500 a month. The lease, man, you can own them. As long as it's under market value, you'll always be good. But if you buy, let's say, a complex in Atlanta,
Starting point is 00:44:19 let's say it might be a million dollars, that rent roll, you just use that to play. I got a complex that just pays my fund. That handles my cars, my jewelry, my wife. I ain't got to touch that. That's that condo.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Everything else is something different. You know what I mean? And you just do that and as long as you keep that mind frame, you'll be good. Do anything for clout.
Starting point is 00:44:37 Your generation likes to focus on everything but talent. So is it hard for you not to get caught up in that? Sometimes. Because sometimes I ain't got no beat in talking.
Starting point is 00:44:44 But you know, I be coming at you. Social media coming at you like some punches. But that might not be for clout. That's just you responding or reacting. But then people look at it as clout, too, though. You know what I mean? You felt social media was trying to come at you and ruin your relationship at one time.
Starting point is 00:45:00 For sure. They were going at you. We were Charlamagne and I, you and I, we had your back. For sure. You know that, right? Yeah, I know that and I, you and I, we had your back. For sure. You know that, right? Yeah, I know that. I know that. You just hope that things make your relationship.
Starting point is 00:45:08 I just want people to be realistic. Yeah, no, we had your back. We just want things to make your relationship stronger. I'm wrong, you know what I mean? I'm wrong. Like, I did something that's wrong. But, bro, don't kill me. Me and your guy been there a long time, so we know.
Starting point is 00:45:19 Allow me and my people to work this out, because now it's serious. It's not no game. It's not no, you know what I'm saying? It's an issue that needs to be, right. But it's also a private situation. And I like for the fact that for women, you know, I think that it is important to acknowledge a woman's real feelings and hurt that a woman might have.
Starting point is 00:45:37 Sometimes people are like, oh, just take them back. But it is a process. It is you proving that you've messed up, that you've changed. No, they weren't saying that. They weren't saying take them back. But that's how I know she loved me. They weren't trying to. They weren't wanting it to be over.
Starting point is 00:45:51 I'm new to being married. I was 26, man. I'm 27. I'm in the prime. After having the best year of 2017, it was the best year of my career for my group, everything. You know what I mean? You got to learn. It's not no game.
Starting point is 00:46:03 It ain't no game. You did what was right, in my opinion. You fought, and you fought, and you did what you had to do. You know what I mean? You got to learn, like, it's not no game. It ain't no game. You did what was right, in my opinion. You fought and you fought and you did what you had to do. Yeah, that was the weird thing. Everybody was giving you flack when you came out on stage with the cake and everything. Yeah, I'm done. I don't give a damn. I love my girl.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Yeah. I called my wife on air, live. Charlamagne gasped me up for that one. But I called her live on air. You're a real boy though. That's a real boy. That's a real boy. Right?
Starting point is 00:46:25 Live. Live. Hey, baby. I love you. I real boy. That's a real boy. Right? Live. Live. Hey, baby. I love you. I'm sorry. You know what I mean? For real. I'm back.
Starting point is 00:46:30 But, yeah, it got me back to this. I'm back. It worked for Emmy. For Charlamagne, it was for clout. What you mean for clout? Because there was great ratings for us. No, I wanted it. He was coming in here every day.
Starting point is 00:46:41 He was coming in here every day. I didn't think Emmy was going to make it. I didn't know what was wrong with her. He was about to quit the job. And then I was like, yo, whatever you got going on, you need to let everybody know. And then he said that. And I'm like, oh, that got real. I didn't know he was going to do that. You know that feeling when your wife just...
Starting point is 00:46:52 Sometimes letting everybody know. Like, bro, you letting yourself know because you got to be a man, like I said, with the album. Like, you got to step forward and face what it is you got to face. Love is a beautiful thing, bro. And then try to be cool and be cool at like bro we get hurt too bro and we can say it's okay dog mm-hmm whatever time when you felt like you know let me fall back and give her space I ain't gonna say nothing on the gram I ain't gonna come out of her show them
Starting point is 00:47:14 just gonna let her go I was pressing up I won't give you no space people say you gotta get well you ain't giving up but Why give your girl some space? Who? Space to go where? Who? I'm with you. Where you at, dog? Bro, I lose it all. I lose her. I'm telling you early. Who? As you should have. I agree with you.
Starting point is 00:47:34 I'm pulling up, man. As you should have. If you love something, let it go. If it come back to you, it's yours. You did that. It came back. Nah, you don't let it go. Nah, don't let it go.
Starting point is 00:47:42 Might don't come back. You keep fighting it. Might don't come back, man. For real, man. You were scared that you was going to lose a fella? For sure. I haven't heard this girl like this in a while. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:53 Never again. You good now, everything. You got to keep it. You learned the lesson. You got to go through steps and different things so we can grow. So y'all did the marriage counseling and all that? Worked with the Lord. Got to work.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Got to keep it. Don't stop. Officer, let's talk about you. Just how you've grown, right? Because you talk about your grandmother on the album and missing her. You talk about your old life for robbing. Did you do some type of therapy or something? Like to deal with the trauma you may have?
Starting point is 00:48:16 Yeah, you know what therapy I went through? What? Jail. For real. For real. That saved my life. A lot of these cats bro Especially in music bro
Starting point is 00:48:27 They be like Trying to be locked up Bro I done had these A judge in my face like Hey I see you again I'm gonna give you 10 years Kiari Cephas Ain't no offset
Starting point is 00:48:35 And I been Last time I had that Last arrest When I was in the states bro I did nothing I was with my security And caught a charge Related to a firearm
Starting point is 00:48:44 Being with my security I sat there 8 related to a firearm being with my security. I sat there eight months and was not getting no bond for no reason. So that just made me focus all the way down. Like, hold on. When I get out, bro, I'm never doing this no more. I'm going to do this, this, this. I'm going to turn myself into a monster with music. And I did that. Even with your temper, because back in the day, it seemed like you would always get into fights. How did you calm that down?
Starting point is 00:49:07 It ain't worth it. I'm going to lose. I start seeing. Too much to lose. I just start seeing. People want to try to piss you off so they can get a payout. People want to try you, bro. This type of game, it ain't no point of being tough.
Starting point is 00:49:18 What you being tough and you rapping for? You making millions, bro. So when you get in the little beefs with people, right? Like, say, Chris Brown or whoever. Do you ever think you would really throw it away for social media? I don't even want to talk about that because it's like, bro, I stepped out of my— I apologize to my fans. It's my fault.
Starting point is 00:49:31 You know what I'm talking about? Who I am, I ain't even supposed to be replying. I ain't even supposed to be replying. It's my fault. Going on shout-out shit. You know what I mean? But at the end of the day, I've been through the real. I'm not finna—
Starting point is 00:49:41 I've been shot at for real, dog. My partner been killed in the hotel, and I was on the news. I was set for real. R.P. Paris Brown killed, murdered. I'm holding him. He telling me, don't let me die, bro. And he died at the hospital. I've been through real life.
Starting point is 00:49:53 So I ain't gonna let nobody. The disrespect is hard to tolerate from where my background. I was taught to adjust disrespect and handle disrespect. But it can go so left field., and when it go left-field, ain't nobody going to do nothing but point. Yeah. And do this. He did this.
Starting point is 00:50:09 He did this. Ain't nobody really. These folks ain't been through the real. I get the picture because I really done bumped my head a thousand times. I got cuts in my head. This ain't no cap. I got 16 more shots. I know what the streets can do for me.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Nothing. I've been trying to do stuff so much to change the Google search. When you use the Google search me, it'll pop up with the bad. It's your time for the good, Jeremy. Holler at me. I've got some people that can clean that up for you. Clean up your Google search.
Starting point is 00:50:34 It's clean now. Oh, okay. I did some righteous things. I done cleaned it up. You gotta clean yourself up. All right, we got more with Offset and the Build. As a matter of fact, let's get into a joint right now off his album. This one features Cardi B. It's called Clout. Alright, we got more with Offset in the building. Matter of fact, let's get into a joint right now off his album. This one features
Starting point is 00:50:45 Cardi B. It's called Clout. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne the guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Offset is here. His album, Father of Four, is out right now. Charlamagne? Would you ever want to reconcile with your father? Yeah, well, yeah. Come pull up.
Starting point is 00:51:02 I ain't got no beef with you. When's the last time you seen him? Since four. Four? oh damn i talked to him when i turned 12 he called me my birthday like i'm gonna see you i stayed up till like six in the morning you know how that go never heard back then i hear from him about when i turned like 22 now we on a little bit and then last time i talked to him 2016. i always been a kid like why he don't like me why he ain't rocking rocking with me? He tripping. I'm rich. I'm trying to give him the money. Every time I talk to him, I'm like, you want to pay for him?
Starting point is 00:51:28 Man, listen, man, I'm about to send you $20,000. Where you at? I want to be off-line jet to you right now. All right, come get you. He's like, son, all right. He might say something like, I'm on the pay phone, so when I get to the house, I'm going to call you. And then I never get a call.
Starting point is 00:51:40 And then I call his mama, and she'll tell me she ain't seen him. So I think he got something else going on Is he on drugs? I love this or you don't really know he on drugs for sure he been shot He's still in the streets like this recently like that shot in his stomach He had a car crash in the 18 will look broke his hip got his hip replaced It's just a lot of and I don't know what happened, but I love I love him though to keep it real I took some shots of him on my album so he can reach. What are you doing, bro?
Starting point is 00:52:08 How are you struggling? How's your mama struggling? I don't even know these people, but these are my family. I know you know I'm everywhere. Pull up. Come talk to me. I ain't mad at you. I got something for you, really.
Starting point is 00:52:19 That's interesting you ain't mad at him, though. You don't resent him for not being there. I know how I be. You can either let the streets take you away, or you can kick in. I'm with your family. A lot of folks, the streets take them away from their mama. Their grandmama, their everything. So I've just been on the other side, too.
Starting point is 00:52:35 I've been a father that was locked up, tripping, not really focused on life goals, not really focusing on taking care of the kids. I'm buying little things, but I'm really being selfish because I don't have nothing myself. I know how mamas could be, too. Like, it's a dirty gang, too, now. Your mama could have been playing it dirty, and then it got to a point where he just... Gave up. Gave up.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Say something like, why would my son be with you, and you doing all this? It's just, I've been on the other side, so I ain't mad at your pops. How your mom feel about that, though? Your mom like, man, don't do nothing for him. You wasn't around. My mama know how the type of person I am, so she just be respecting it. Like, keep trying to find him, son. Don't give up on trying to find him.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Sometimes I done last out. She don't know what it's from. It be that. Because it's embarrassing not to have your dad. You can act tough if you want to. I need to meet my sister that I don't know. I need to make sure my family good. I got to provide, bro. It's real not to have your dad. You can act tough if you want to. I need to meet my sister that I don't know. I need to meet my, I need to be, I need to make sure my family good. I got to provide, bro.
Starting point is 00:53:28 It's real out here. Who, who life did you save in the car crash? You say he was trying to save somebody else's life. He had to swerve to miss somebody. Okay. He probably was like a, a fiend. A fiend. Because how you just in the middle of the street.
Starting point is 00:53:40 When I'm looking, it's raining. I'm still going to look where I should be going. I'm going about 50 on a one-way street. And I see you. You look. And then I'm super close to you now. So I'm like,
Starting point is 00:53:51 what are you doing? And then I go around and how that hellcat is, it's fishtail. And I didn't have my traction on. So at first, it's black. I couldn't even see what I was seeing.
Starting point is 00:54:01 And there was a tree. Boom! And I remember when I hit everything, I felt my teeth because my father bottom two came out i felt my teeth come out i couldn't blink this eye but the dude came to the window and like i had to see if i was dead and how the dough was the dough was jammed so i couldn't get out this out my dough so i just yelled like i'm panicking i'm like what you doing i'm trying to tell him to open the dough he just go he run off i could climb out from the other side because the car was squished. So it had jammed the doors.
Starting point is 00:54:29 But the other door was good, though, because I had hit it kind of on the left side, on the driving side, instead of this side. So when I crawl out, my jewelry started falling off my neck. Now, I don't know where to do that. I start grabbing my arm. You worried about that? I ain't trying to get robbed. I'm like, I ain't trying to get robbed. You got to live. I'm like, I ain't trying to get robbed. I'm like, I ain't trying to get robbed. Babe, you gotta live.
Starting point is 00:54:47 I'm like, I ain't trying to get robbed. I grabbed that. I just remember I grabbed it. And then I remember, like, a dude was running, like, yo. He ran down to me, and I couldn't really see. I got so much blood and just covered. I'm walking, because I was probably a quarter mile from my house. So I'm walking to the house, and then he just helped me walk up.
Starting point is 00:55:03 And he just dipped. Dude helped you in just that. Like an angel. Come to find then he just helped me walk up and he just dipped. Dude helped you in just that? Like an angel. Come to find out he was walking from work. He walks from work and he was a single father too with two kids.
Starting point is 00:55:10 So I had bought him a car and what blew me, right? I bought him a little Nissan, right? They telling me on the internet, why did you buy him a Nissan? You should have bought him a Nissan in July.
Starting point is 00:55:19 You should have bought him a Maybach. Oh my God. What the f*** you gonna do with a Maybach? It ain't good enough. I ain't had no PR. I ain't had nobody tell me that.
Starting point is 00:55:26 I was looking for him at first, but I'm like, man, this is a walking man walking down the street, bro, at 4 o'clock in the morning. Then when I went to the hospital, I was just thinking about that. Like, man, who was that? Who was that that just did that? Getting robbed. I needed that. Taking jewelry, just walking to the prison.
Starting point is 00:55:39 And then just picked up. And he was like, oh, my God, bro. You all set, bro? And he's still. When I got in the house, I was bleeding him out. Y'all take him to the hospital. By the time I looked, he was like, oh, my God, bro. You all set, bro? And he's still. When I got in the house, I was bleeding him out. Y'all take him to the hospital. By the time I looked, he was walking. When we were driving, when we was pulling off, he was walking back to wherever he was walking to.
Starting point is 00:55:52 Wow. And now he driving the Nissan. That was a crazy experience. I've never been in a car accident before that. Yeah. I crashed, and a doe cut over windshield right here on my face. That's how close. It got bent in.
Starting point is 00:56:03 And then when I get to the hospital, they tell me 90% of people die every time they hit a tree. They coming through the window. And I didn't have no seatbelt on. So those brushes with death between that and your partner dying in your arms, that's changed your whole perspective.
Starting point is 00:56:18 Whole perspective. What my kids gonna do without me, man? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is it hard being married? Because I'm sure women are throwing themselves at you. Nah, it ain't hard to be married when you just really focus and do what you gotta do, dog.
Starting point is 00:56:29 That's right. You know you're a grown man, so whatever you're doing, I mean, you know what you're doing. No, it ain't right. Black men don't cheat, man. Black men don't cheat. Play it out.
Starting point is 00:56:38 Cheating, play it out. Burnt out. We need to check each other, though, too. Black men, we need to start checking each other. We see some s***, like, yo, my s***, like, come on. You risking it all. You got to start treating it like it's a penitentiary chance. So? Because it is., though, too. Black men, we need to start checking each other. We see some s***, like, yo, my s***, like, come on. You risking it all.
Starting point is 00:56:45 You got to start treating it like it's a penitentiary chance. Because it is. It is, bro. You will lose your feeling. You be right. Man, listen. Your girl walking around with another man. Lord have mercy.
Starting point is 00:56:56 I'm looking around everybody in the room texting their girl right now. I just texted everyone before. That's what's going to happen. And then it be your fault. You punished for life. And it's going to show in your career. And people are going to start like, damn,
Starting point is 00:57:07 why you hurt? Why don't, why don't people know you hurt? And you hurt for real? Woo! Trying to look fake happy on the ground. Fake happy, fake acting like you want to.
Starting point is 00:57:18 Why? Why you crush? Why? Because I don't crush. I don't crush like this. Crush. Never felt like that. Crush. Yeah. I don't cry like this. Crush. Never felt like that. I was on the floor over there laying down. I don't want no show. Ask her, I was on the floor over there laying down in between breaks.
Starting point is 00:57:32 Now, it seemed like it was hard for you to do that video. The audio you used on the album before Don't Lose Me, it seemed like it was hard to do that. And I apologize, you know what I'm saying? Breaking your heart, breaking our promise, breaking God's promise, and being a selfish, messed up husband you know what i'm saying i'm trying i'm trying to be a better person i want to get this off because i'm not an outspoken person like that anyway like that but i know i gotta step up i
Starting point is 00:58:00 make my wife look crazy so i take the the punishment. I take them not liking me or not liking me no more or doing whatever they be doing. I take that. I deserve that. Even in the midst of all that, she'll still tell her fans, y'all do not be mad at Offset for anything. I don't need y'all attacking him. Still
Starting point is 00:58:19 like you. There you go. We love y'all together, man. We love you separately. We love you together. Them three words gonna be striking fear in the for the rest of the year. You know the first time I ever, I pressed about it was in here. It was when Clue was in here. Me and you was talking right here. I brought it up.
Starting point is 00:58:35 I don't know if you've been to. I'm like, hey, Clue, you know Cardi? This before everything, all that. I'm like, hey, like her, man. Then he had to come to my little, I had a little thing in New York, a little show, and she just pulled up. Clue always said, Clue can fix it. Connect the dot, Clue, man. Connect the dot, Clue.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Yes, Clue fixed the Fab and Ray J situation. Only Clue can fix this. People don't even know I was working to get her, too. We had a little all-girl dinner called a Bad and Bougie dinner. And we just invited women. And I invited her on purpose. I'm like, when I get in front of that subway. So you knew.
Starting point is 00:59:13 You knew from the first time you seen her. I liked her when she had crooked teeth. So you paid for them? No, she paid for all this. Well, congrats on the new album, Father of Four. Father of Four out right now. Thank you for stopping. And he's going to have girls scaring the shit out of us for the rest of the year with that Don't Lose Me.
Starting point is 00:59:31 You'd be out too late and get that Don't Lose Me text. Three words, Don't Lose Me. All right. Well, it's the Breakfast Club. It's Offset. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired? Depressed?
Starting point is 00:59:43 A little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Laudonia.
Starting point is 01:00:00 I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tribe owned country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a racket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Starting point is 01:00:19 Oh my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan.

As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
Starting point is 01:02:03 For self-preservation and protection. It was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.
Starting point is 01:02:33 Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Shout out to Offset again. Make sure you pick up his album, Father of Four, out right now. Now, let's get to these rumors. Let's talk Leaving Neverland. This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee.
Starting point is 01:02:57 Rumor has it. On The Breakfast Club. So listen up. So Dan Reed is the director of Leaving Neverland, and he was on CBS this morning yesterday, and one of the things that he addressed out of the many issues about the Michael Jackson film that actually debuts on Sunday on HBO, he talked about why he felt like he needed to do this,
Starting point is 01:03:20 and he said it was not about Michael Jackson. Well, the allegations are directed against Michael himself, and of course he's he's no longer around to to defend himself so we included the things he said while he was alive in defense of his behavior you know during the 1993 and the 2003 to 2005 investigations but did you not think it was necessary to hear from members of his family or his lawyers to react specifically to Wade and James? This isn't a film about Michael Jackson. It's a film about Wade Robson and James Safechuck. And it's the story of their coming to terms with that over two decades and the story of their families.
Starting point is 01:03:56 Is that the lovely Gayle King talking, by the way? On CBS This Morning, yes. Yeah, drop on the clues box for Gayle King. And boo to that film director. Okay, it's unethical and I refuse to believe that those people didn't get paid. Alright, we're going to get to that in a second. Now, Dan Reed also said he believes
Starting point is 01:04:13 that their actions align with other victims of pedophiles who tend to form deep attachments to their abusers. And he said even after these alleged events, the director says they both were in love with Michael and continue to love him. Now, as far as the family, because the family hasn't seen the movie and I can't blame them. Who's family? Michael Jackson.
Starting point is 01:04:30 OK. His family has not seen the movie. Here's what he said. What does the family know about the sexual abuse that happened? Do you think they know? We know that the family and the estates and Jackson during his lifetime and his lawyers all denied that any sexual abuse took place. And those views are strongly represented in the film. Boo!
Starting point is 01:04:50 Listen, man, this is unethical. Those two guys lied under oath. Why should we trust anything that they say in 2019? Absolutely right. They lied under oath. Perjury is a crime. Is there a statute of limitations on perjury? Perjury?
Starting point is 01:05:04 Listen, this whole thing is, I'm not sure statute of limitations on perjury? Perjury? I don't, listen, this whole thing is, I'm not sure what the legal reasons for whatever, I don't know if it's a situation where it's a pedophile and they're saying later on in life, I don't know. But, here is what else Darren Reed has to say because
Starting point is 01:05:19 according to him, these accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck were not paid. You know, I had no prior views about Michael Jackson. I had never taken a special interest in Jackson or in anyone famous. You know, I come from a background of making films about terrorism and crime. And so I came to it with a completely open mind. And I certainly didn't want to state my reputation on a story that didn't have a strong factual basis and that wasn't true.
Starting point is 01:05:45 You know, throughout the two years of making the film, I looked for anything that could cast doubt or undermine Wade and James' story, and I found nothing at all. Were they paid for the documentary? They were not paid. They have no financial interest whatsoever and no future, past, or present interest. I refuse to believe they didn't get paid. They might not have got paid as individuals, but somebody's LLC got paid. Because what other reason would they have to do this documentary?
Starting point is 01:06:03 They swore under oath that nothing happened. Okay. Now, let's move on and talk about R. Kelly. Jesus Christ. Now, R. Kelly was bailed out by a woman who thinks that he's innocent. He doesn't know her? Valencia P. Love. She said she stepped up to the plate.
Starting point is 01:06:17 She wanted to help a friend in need. She's a Chicago businesswoman. She reportedly covered that $100,000 bond that he needed. She said there are three sides to every story. Kelly's side, there's the alleged victims and the truth. So she goes on to say, I'm not going to say it was my money or his money and he's not broke. He was going to post bond by Thursday anyway. He's my friend and I know he needed help. She said, I can't say that they're lying as far as the girls. And she said, it wasn't my money.
Starting point is 01:06:45 I'm not going to say whose money it is. I can't condone any man sodomizing anyone or abusing a woman. R. Kelly told me he was innocent. If he did it, he is wrong. If he did it, that's wrong. He's telling me he's innocent. I wasn't there. She said, you weren't there. Give him the chance and allow him to prove his innocence. She was better off buying some young drug dealers
Starting point is 01:07:02 in Chicago a few bricks for that hundred grand. She goes on to say that R. Kelly has only been a gentleman to her. She said the prosecutors and attorney general need to be prosecuting the priests that were sleeping with five and six-year-old children. Let R. Kelly have his chance in court to prove if he's innocent or guilty. That's big because I know a lot of people wouldn't have done that. And she owns all those businesses in Chicago. I'm sure people are not going to F with her business anymore. Yeah, and it's one thing to take, you know,
Starting point is 01:07:25 your friend's word. You know what I'm saying? Like, if all you had was your friend's word and your friend was like, yo, I didn't do these things, you might help them out financially.
Starting point is 01:07:33 But there's tapes. Right. Very confusing. There's actual tapes. And she keeps on saying, well, he was going to get out anyway. He was going to bond out anyway.
Starting point is 01:07:41 So she helped him out. That ain't true. That's what she says. Now, R. Kelly's gig in Germany actually got canceled after these charges as well, so he's still scheduled for some other shows, but reportedly they're saying some of those are in the process of being canceled as well. He couldn't go anywhere. How's he going to make money?
Starting point is 01:07:57 They took his passport. He's not. They took his passport, so he couldn't go anywhere. All right, I'm Angela Yee, and that's your Rumor Reports. All right, thank you, Ms. Yee. Charlemagne. Yes. Who you giving that donkey to?
Starting point is 01:08:08 Hey, man, it's a mayonnaise-flavored mammal who needs to come to the front of the congregation this morning. What? Say that again? A mayonnaise-flavored mammal. Now, before y'all call up here and start complaining about me calling people mayonnaise, I think y'all might want to hear the story because you could be on the wrong side of history with this one, guys and gals. All right. All right.

If it's happening on your adult snow day, it's happening on eBay. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired? Depressed? A little bit revolutionary?
Starting point is 01:09:01 Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
Starting point is 01:09:15 I am the Queen of Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I try my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory.
Starting point is 01:09:31 I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh, my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We need help!
Starting point is 01:09:41 We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. Starting point is 01:10:56 As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments.
Starting point is 01:11:34 Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You are a donkey. It's time get donkey of the day. You get donkey of the day. You are a donkey. It's time for donkey of the day.
Starting point is 01:12:09 Donkey of the day, huh? I'm going to fatten all that shit around your eyes. They want this man to throw them blows, man. They wait for Charlamagne to tap them gloves. Let's go. You have to make a judgment of who was going to be on the donkey of the day. They chose you. The breakfast club, bitches.
Starting point is 01:12:23 Who's donkey of the day today? I really wanted to give it to DJ Self today, but I ain't gonna do that. You should've gave it to Self. Oh my God. We're gonna have a discussion about Self later. Donkey of the day for Wednesday, February 27th goes to Maryland lawmaker Mary Ann Lasante. Now, Mary Ann is a white woman,
Starting point is 01:12:40 a mayonnaise-flavored mammal. Now, before you call the radio station today voicing your complaints about Charlamagne Tha God calling Marianne a mammal-flavored mammal, a mayonnaise-flavored mammal, just know that it's quite possible by defending her you could possibly be defending a racist. Okay, now what makes someone a racist? What makes someone a bigot? Well, if it walks like helmets, talks like helmets, then it's probably a jar of helmets. I don't throw words around loosely. Okay, I just call it how I see it, and right now, I see why, baby. Now, before I
Starting point is 01:13:10 continue on, let me give you a full download on what happened, because I can feel the mayonnaise in your veins boiling right now, getting hot. Let's go to WJZ CBS 13 for the report, please. The calls for that Democrat, Marianne Lizonte, to resign are getting louder, even after she apologized. While at a cigar bar back in January, the second-term delegate is accused of using the N-word to describe Prince George's County, a predominantly African-American jurisdiction. All right, let's stop right there. Let's stop right there for a second. Maryland lawmaker Mary Ann Lassanti referred to a majority black county in suburban Washington as the N-word district. Okay, she didn't say N-word, though.
Starting point is 01:13:47 She said, nah. All right? Her exact quote was that campaigning in PG County, Prince George County, on behalf of another candidate amounted to door knocking in an N-word district. First of all, drop one of the clues, Barnes, for PG County. All right? PG County has a population that is 65% black. It is one of the most affluent majority black counties in the US.
Starting point is 01:14:07 So, yes, it probably is a lot of N words there. But for the billionth time, you mayonnaise flavored mammals can't say that. All right. That word cannot be used by anyone with a white hue. OK, in no context. And it especially should not be used by a lawmaker in Maryland. And you wonder why these laws target black people differently than everyone else? Because the people making the laws look at us as no good man words. Okay? Now that we know what she said and who she said it about,
Starting point is 01:14:33 are you still going to call the radio station today and complain? Okay, y'all know me. NY Times bestselling author by the name of Michelle Obama said, when they go low, we go high. Well, another New York Times bestselling author by the name of Charlamagne the God said, when they go low, we take it to Well, another New York Times bestselling author by the name of Charlamagne Tha God said, when they go low, we take it to the floor with them. Now, people are calling for Mary Ann to resign, and she does what all racist politicians do when they are found out.
Starting point is 01:14:54 She apologized. Let's go back to WJZ CBS 13 for the report, please. In a page-long statement, the delegate said, I am sickened that a word that is not in my vocabulary came out of my mouth. It does not represent my belief system, my not in my vocabulary came out of my mouth. It does not represent my belief system, my life's work, or what is my heart. The calls for the delegate to resign are growing not only here in Annapolis, but across the state. The African-American Democratic Clubs of Maryland want for her to leave immediately. She's since been removed from
Starting point is 01:15:19 a leadership position. And in that same letter, Licente said she'll be undergoing sensitivity training. She's also praying for forgiveness. All right, Marianne. Yes, pray for forgiveness. Only God can judge you. But I believe that when you are a human being who knows better, you must do better because when you know better and don't do better, the universe will double, sometimes triple the consequences of your actions. OK, some things you just know you can't do, but you threw caution to the wind. All right. Like you, a grown ass lawmaker, you? Some things you just know you can't do, but you threw caution to the wind. Alright? Like you a grown-ass lawmaker. You know damn well you can't be running around here calling black people
Starting point is 01:15:49 the N-word. But it's so second nature to you, so top of the mind to refer to black people as that, that you got comfortable and you said it around the wrong people, and they heard you, and they called you out, and now you apologizing to every black politician in PG County. Let me tell you something, Marianne, you said in that cigar bar, that black politician in PG County. Let me tell you something, Marianne. You said in that cigar bar that campaigning in PG County
Starting point is 01:16:07 was like door knocking in an N-word district. That's exactly what I think you should do. Go to PG County and knock on every door and apologize to every black person for calling them the N-word. You need to knock on every door in PG County and assure black people that your decisions when it comes to lawmaking will be fair, even though you refer
Starting point is 01:16:30 to them as N-words. Knock on every door in PG County like a Jehovah's Witness, alright? Call it field nigger service. That's the only way to make this right, okay? I have nothing more to say here. Some donkey of the days just sell themselves. Please let Kathy Griffin handle my white work.
Starting point is 01:16:47 Please give this giant jar of mayo the biggest, hee-haw. I'm just saying. All right. I'm just saying. Well, thank you for that donkey of the day, sir. Yes, and please, when y'all call and complain today, please leave voicemails. I love listening to the voicemails of y'all complaining
Starting point is 01:17:05 about me calling you mayonnaise-flavored mammals. Too much goddamn mayonnaise! Too much goddamn mayonnaise. Alright, well, up next is Ask Ye. 800-585-1051 if you need relationship advice or any type of advice, call Ye right now. Phone lines are wide open.
Starting point is 01:17:21 It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. It's time for Ask Yee. Hello, who's this? Hi, this is Diamond.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Hey, Mama, what's your question for Yee? My question for Yee is basically, I got into a relationship with a guy like immediately after I had broken up with someone. And now he's in love and I'm not quite sure how to break things off with him because I don't want to hurt his feelings. He's a good guy. So I don't know what to do. Well, Diamond, it's okay because you are going to hurt his feelings by being honest.
Starting point is 01:18:00 But it'll hurt him even more if you keep on dragging this out. So, of course, you know you are going to break it off. I think you got to do it as quickly as possible. Explain to him that you just got out of a situation when you guys first met that you, I wouldn't tell him he was a rebound because I'm sure he'll know that. But just, you know, let him know. Just be like, look, I'm just still like trying to do me. I just got out of the situation.
Starting point is 01:18:24 I don't want to lead you on anymore. And I think you're a great person. And hopefully at some point we can still be friends. But I think the longer you drag it out, the worse that it is because you're going to be around him. You're going to have an attitude. You know, you're not really feeling him. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:18:39 So, you know, you don't want to do that. So I think if you think he's a good person, then treat him like the good person that he is and be honest. And you'll be surprised. Like, he'll appreciate it later because clearly y'all aren't meant to be. Yeah. Okay. That works.
Starting point is 01:18:52 But if he's a good guy, why are you breaking up with him? She doesn't. He's such a good guy. If he's in love with her and she. I'm not feeling it. It's just not for me. It was fun. But now he's in love.
Starting point is 01:19:02 So it's just like, no. Yeah. She doesn't want to be in a relationship. Just because someone's a nice guy doesn't mean you have to want to be with them. You're going to get rid of that good guy and there's going to be nothing out there for you. And you're going to wish you got him. Why would you say that? Because he's a good guy.
Starting point is 01:19:15 Yeah, but Envy, you don't have to be with someone that you're not feeling like that. What's the matter? Does he stink? Like, why is he not such a good guy? No, I mean, some things he do is a little corny to me. So I'm just like, you know. Oh, you want a street guy. No, I mean some things he do is a little corny to me, so I'm just like, you know? Oh, you want a street dude? He's a dude that got a job and do all that.
Starting point is 01:19:30 You want a street dude, huh? Don't worry, she won't want that corny dude in the future, but you know this is ASCII, right, Emmy? I'm sorry. I feel good for him. But you can't force yourself to like somebody that you don't really like like that. I've been in situations that looks good on paper. Yeah, he's got a great job. He's nice, but if I'm not feeling you, I'm just not really like like that. I've been in situations that looks good on paper. Yeah, he's got a great job.
Starting point is 01:19:45 He's nice. But if I'm not feeling you, I'm just not feeling you like that. You got to be honest. Shout out to all the corny guys out there, man. Yeah, just because somebody's a good person doesn't mean that they're actually good for you. Right.
Starting point is 01:19:55 Thank you. Well, good luck, mama. All right, Diamond. All right. Ask you. You want a strip? Shut up. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 01:20:02 Her name is Diamond. You got a question for Yee. Call her now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:20:13 We're in the middle of Ask Yee. Hello, who's this? This is Armani. Armani, what's up, man? What's your question for Yee, bro? What's up? My question for Yee, man, is I need to work on my communication with my girlfriend. I've been with her
Starting point is 01:20:26 for years and I just really need to work on our communication but I don't know how and I talk to her but she get mad over little things. Little things
Starting point is 01:20:34 that really don't mean nothing but it means something to her, I guess. Okay, it does mean something to her and even you just put in I guess at the end of it means you're minimizing
Starting point is 01:20:43 what it means to her. So when you say little things, something that's literally to you, that's not little to her. Give me an example. For example, I tell her I'm going to one of my friend's house. But she's like, I thought you were going somewhere else. But I end up somewhere else. So because then she feels like you lied. I didn't lie.
Starting point is 01:20:59 You did. If I'm not lying, I'd be on the move. But that's how she feels. She feels like he told me he was doing one thing and then he did something else, right? Right. And that's not really truthful because you didn't do what you said you were doing. I did do that. After I do that, I will go on to something else.
Starting point is 01:21:14 It seems like there's maybe some deeper issues. Like, do y'all have trust issues? Well, no. We trust each other. Everything's fine. There's no cheating. We're happy communication. It's the only thing.
Starting point is 01:21:24 Like, that's it. So why don't you just let her know what you're really doing when you decide to do it? Because if you know I'm headed here, it's nothing to send a text. Right. That's right. She said the same thing. Just shoot a text. That's all it is. You're right. So why are you rebelling against that? I'm not really
Starting point is 01:21:40 rebelling. It's like... I don't gotta check in. I feel like that, honestly. I feel like that. She't gotta check in. I feel like that, honestly. I feel like that. She's my girlfriend. Sometimes I feel like she's trying to be my mother. I don't have to check in. You're right. That's what it is. And it's such an easy solution, man.
Starting point is 01:21:55 Take five seconds to send a text message and then you won't have any issues. Right. That's true. That's true. You just want to feel like, I got my freedom. I don't got to answer to nobody. But you sure want to. I always feel like it's nice when my man just hits me up and lets me know what's going on. I'm not even asking any questions.
Starting point is 01:22:12 He just does it because he wants to. Right. Right. And it's not like I'm out cheating or something. She know what I'm doing. She really don't know what you're doing because you're not telling her. Right. You got me. You got me.
Starting point is 01:22:26 You got me. You got me with that one. I don't speak to it. And look, God forbid something happened to you and now you said you was here and you was over there and I have no idea where you went. Do you know where she's at when she's out? Yeah, she'll tell me. Okay.
Starting point is 01:22:40 Well, return that favor. She does that because she wants you to know I'm good. I love you. I'm thinking about you. I'm headed here. Miss you. That is so true. You're right.
Starting point is 01:22:49 I didn't think about it like that. You know, guys. All right, well, good. I'm glad you're going to communicate better. We communicated very well just now. Now do that with your girl. Damn, man. Boom shakalaka.
Starting point is 01:22:59 All right. Uh-oh. No, you shouldn't say anything. You should let it go now. Take that advice and't say anything. You should let it go now. Take that advice and run with it. You should know when to stop. I'm tired of these mayo-ass motherfuckers. Mayonnaise-flavored mammals is what you call them.
Starting point is 01:23:12 All right, guys. Thank you. Ask Yee. Right. 800-585-1051. If you need relationship advice, you can hit Yee anytime. Now, we got rumors on the way, Yee. Yes, we are going to talk about Red Table Talk.
Starting point is 01:23:24 Guess who the next guest is going to be if she's able to do it because there might be an NDA in place that will prevent that. I thought she did it already. But okay, we'll find out
Starting point is 01:23:32 in the rumors. Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Hey, it's the world's most dangerous morning show, The Breakfast Club. Charlamagne Tha God,
Starting point is 01:23:37 Angela Yee. I think DJ Henry broke out on us, did he? Yeah, he's in Detroit and there's some bad weather so he was trying to make sure he could make his flight. Hey, drop on the
Starting point is 01:23:45 Clues Bonds for Too Cool to Blog, too. Too Cool to Blog just tweeted out, seeing Offset talkative in an interview is crazy. It was. It was nice. Yeah, Offset was here for like an hour. The full interview was up on... I felt like he could have kept going, too. Yeah, he definitely could have. He had a lot to talk about. The full interview
Starting point is 01:24:01 is up on the Breakfast Club YouTube page right now for your viewing pleasure. Now, Angelina, you lot to talk about. The full interview is up on the Breakfast Club YouTube page right now for your viewing pleasure. Now, Angelina, you about to talk about Soulja Boy? It's about time. We're going now. Rumor Report. Rumor Report. This is the Rumor Report.
Starting point is 01:24:14 Talk to them. With Angelina Yee on the Breakfast Club. Well, how for real is this Soulja Boy versus Tyga? Now, Soulja Boy has put out a freestyle over Tatiana, and he's coming for Tyga. Oh, Lord have mercy. Let's hear what you think. Hey. Oh, now you like it.
Starting point is 01:24:45 Hey, dropping a clues bomb for Soulja Boy. Pour a little drop top, that's Piper Tag. Yeah. He got drugged at the club by the security. I know he big, man. Hey, drop on the clues bomb for Soulja Boy. Okay, come out talking breezy immediately. All right? My goodness. If you're going to do a diss record, that's the way to do a diss record. Diss record be a little too friendly nowadays.
Starting point is 01:25:03 All right, well, Tiger posted himself in the middle of some water alone. And he said, hey, Alexa, play a Tatiana Tiger diss by Soulja Boy. Tyga got a Tatiana diss, too? He has one, too, yes. We played that yesterday. Oh, yeah, we did play it. LA Leakers won. Yeah, y'all got to stop doing diss records over Tatiana. That sounds dumb.
Starting point is 01:25:17 Why? Because ain't nobody calling each other thots. That's a real diss if you call another man a thot. Yeah, we call y'all thots all the time. That's what I'm saying. I want to hear one of them call each other a thot if you're going to do a freestyle of a Tatiana remix. Yeah, we would always refer to y'all as thots. Alright,
Starting point is 01:25:30 now there's a Coach brand Spike Lee directed short film. It's called Words Matter and it stars Michael B. Jordan. So, basically they said they collaborated with Spike Lee on this short film for Coach as an inspirational experience according to Michael B. Jordan, he said,
Starting point is 01:25:46 Spike's art has moved the cultural dial for decades. I'm proud of the powerful messaging of this film and to be working alongside a brand that cares about putting that narrative into the world as much as I do. So, Spike Lee actually co-wrote Words Matter with his kids, Satchel and Jackson Lee. Alright? So, you can check that
Starting point is 01:26:02 out. It's called Words Matter. Jordan Woods! You know Jordan Woods for being in the midst is this. She might have an NDA, a non-disclosure agreement with the Kardashians and the Jenners. She's been on the show for years, and she did sign that NDA, so she's not allowed to disclose details about any of their lives.
Starting point is 01:26:37 So I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know what she's going to talk about on the show. She did post a video teasing that she'll be on the show on Friday and the show was shot late yesterday morning so we don't know what happened in this interview but they said she wants to tell her side of the story. So basically the Jenners never trusted her.
Starting point is 01:26:54 If you make your friend sign an NDA I think everybody on the show has to sign one. Oh, so it's just if you're on the show. It's like a standard. Yeah, she's on the show so she had to sign an NDA That's kind of wild to have to sign an NDA to be on a reality show. What about on a radio show? That's on the show. So she had to sign an NDA. That's kind of wild to have to sign an NDA to be on a reality show. What about on a radio show? That's kind of wild.
Starting point is 01:27:08 A lot of people make people sign NDAs because you know what? People be mad later on. Like, man, we should have had an NDA because you never know what's going to happen. So it kind of should be a standard across the board. No, that's true. Kevin Hunter tried to make me sign one back in the day. Yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong because you never know what could happen. So that's just protecting your brand and yourself.
Starting point is 01:27:24 But I never signed it. Just want to throw that out there. You're going to be talking, Tatiana? Okay. Just want to throw that out there that I never signed it. Okay, I hear you, Chatty Patty-ana. All right. That laugh, though.
Starting point is 01:27:38 You really got some style. All right. Little Kim, Chili, and Maya. Apparently, they have a TV show coming on VH1. So they've been hanging out. They've been on the beach in Barbados. They did a photo shoot. So I don't know what the show is, but they said it's called Girls Crew.
Starting point is 01:27:57 And going to Barbados is just one of the stops on their itinerary. They're going to go to other islands as well while they're shooting. Are they really friends? I don't know. Okay. I haven't never seen them really like, but I never paid attention, so I don't know if they really are, but I'm sure we want to see what they have going on. Probably some interesting conversations,
Starting point is 01:28:14 visiting different locations. You know I love the Caribbean. Maya definitely needs it. Damn. No, I'm just saying, Maya needs it. Listen, Maya got a lot of hit records, but for whatever reason, people don't pay attention to them like they should. They don't pay attention to Maya like they should. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:28:29 I feel like they always post Maya. She's a vegan. She looks amazing. She got joints. Yeah, she do. Maya could come out on stage right now and put on a great show. All right, well, let's see what this TV show is about. Maybe it'll help.
