This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Over the last couple years, didn't we learn that the folding chair was invented by black people because of what happened in Alabama?
This Black History Month, the podcast, Selective Ignorance with Mandy B, unpacked black history and culture with comedy, clarity, and conversations that shake the status quo.
The Crown Act in New York was signed in July of 2019, and that is a bill that was passed to prohibit discrimination based on hairstyles associated with race.

What is something you've had to unlearn about love?
That it's earned.
That I was unworthy of love.
That it needs to be forever for it to count.
February is the month of love.
Whether you're in a relationship, casually dating, or proudly single, it's a great time to reflect on yourself.
what you want.
I'm Hope Woodard, host of the Boyceover podcast,

You know if you don't lie about that, right?
Lauren came in hot.
Hey, y'all.
What's up? It's Lauren LaRosa, and this is the latest with Lauren LaRosa.
This is your daily dig on all things, pop culture, entertainment news,
and all of the conversations that shake the room, baby.
Back on the grind.
Now, checking in behind the scenes of the grind,
I don't really know.
I don't really have much to say.
We did several interviews today at Breakfast Club.
I always shoot the podcast right after we finish the Breakfast Club.
So the days be long.
But today we had interviews, one in particular, that we'll talk about here on the podcast once it airs.
It has not aired yet.
So I don't want to mention it.
But we had one interview in particular today that, I don't know, just like, there are like several times, probably like a week to be honest, where I'm like, yo, I can't believe that this is my life, that this is the things that I'm doing that.
you know like I get to be creative and I get to do things I love to do but also just I don't know
like my job is like a passion like or my career because it's not just a job my career is one of my
passions and that is always a blessing but some days I'm like man this is happening like this is
really happening and there's this song called it keeps happening to me it is by I'm going to look
it up my mentor of miss Lori Hayes sent it to me
a while back. It's by Kiara Sheard. And that song talks all about just stepping into like,
it's happening. You're in the moment. You're in like your answered prayers. You can't run from it.
Own it. No imposter syndrome. And today was one of those moments. Like I literally cannot lie to you guys.
Today was one of those moments where I'm just like, yo, I am really living my answered prayer.
the conversation during the interview was amazing and just the energy of the person that I got to me today.
But after the interview, just having a regular, I mean, the conversation on, in the interview was regular too.
But after the interview, having a few minutes to, like, really, like, chat it up with this person.
And I mean, like, really have a kind of, like, because there's certain people, I feel like, when you meet them, you know they're just going to, like, pierce.
Like their energy is just it stops showing your tracks.
It makes you reevaluate like as soon as this person walks in the room and I want you guys to try and guess who it is.
As soon as this person walked in the room, I was like, oh my God.
Like their energy is unmatched.
And it made me wonder when I walk in a room like what energy do people feel for me?
Because the way I felt the minute that this person walked in the room and before they even said hello and I just saw a smile and their literal like their literal glow.
Oh my God.
Like a lot of times in, you know, work, especially as an adult, I think a lot of things can
become thinkless where you're just kind of like going through the motions, going through the motions,
going through the motions.
So I love moments like what I had today and having the conversations that I was able and
blessed to have today where I'm like, girl, you're not just going through a moment.
Like, this is the moment.
Live it.
Be in it right now.
I can't really I can't tell y'all yet but you guys will see it and then we'll talk about it here on the podcast but man today was just a really good blessed reminder of like you are living your answered dream your wildest prayers wildest dreams answered prayers however you want to say it and never take that for granted so someone today is listening or watching this podcast and
It might be a day.
We all have them.
Like, we all have them.
You might, you know, I don't know what you're going through, but I didn't really have a behind
the scenes of the grind update because I haven't been doing nothing but being at work and everything
has been steady and good and cool.
But it came on my heart to just let y'all know what I walked away with feeling like.
I've been in such a, not somber, because that sounds like so low and like, no, not somber,
but a reflective state.
I've been in such a reflective state since I left the breakfast club today.
Like even driving here to the podcast, I was just thinking, like, man, we only get one shot at this thing called life, for real.
Like, you only get one shot at this thing called life for real.
And if you're going to do something, you might as well do it.
Like, and I mean do it up.
Like, do it all the way up and throw in a red lip while you do it and let the people watch as it goes up.
Literally, like, oh, my God.
It's, I don't know.
it's just such a blessing to encounter people who make you stopping your tracks and think about just
how good God is. I've traveled a lot of places in my life and oftentimes, like even when I own an airplane,
like when we're up in the clouds and I look out the window, I stop and I'm like, man, you can't tell me
that it's not a guy because I'm looking at all of this like these things that I just can't fathom
or I can't explain how to even work and exist, right? But meeting certain people who make you feel
like that, like, yo, God is good. He has to be because there are people on the
earth that make you feel him and make you feel the love and the warm in the completeness that
we all know God has instilled in every single one of us but the realization of it is that I think
is life's true that's like every human being's true fight in life that is your fight to figure out
your purpose to figure out your alignment and to actually live in it so meeting people who are
living in a daily chef's kiss.
I can't even, like I can't describe you all how I'm feeling right now.
Like I can literally go home and just chill out and just reflect in the moment that I
experienced today and the energy and the aura that I experienced today.
But we'll talk about it.
I promise we are going to recap that.
Y'all know every now and then we recap the Breakfast Club episodes.
We will recap that episode, I promise, because it is definitely going to go down as one
of my favorites.

Welcome to the A building.
I'm Hans Charles.
I'm in Alec Lamoma.
It's 1969.
Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr.
have both been assassinated.
And Black America was out of breaking point.
Rioting and protests broke out on an unprecedented scale.
In Atlanta, Georgia at Martin's Almermata,
Morehouse College,
the students had their own.
It featured two prominent figures in black history, Martin Luther King Sr., and a young student, Samuel L. Jackson.
To be in what we really thought was a revolution. I mean, people would die.
1968, the murder of Dr. King, which traumatized everyone.
The FBI had a role in the murder of a Black Panther leader in Chicago.
This story is about protest. It echoes in today's world far more than it should.
that will blow your mind.

What do you do when the headlines don't explain what's happening inside of you?
I'm Ben Higgins.
And if you can hear me, is where culture meets the soul, a place for real conversation.
Each episode, I sit down with people from all walks of life, celebrities, thinkers, and everyday folks.
and we go deeper than the polished story.
We talk about what drives us, what shapes us, and what gives us hope.
We get honest about the big stuff, identity when you don't recognize yourself anymore, loss that changes you, purpose when success isn't enough, peace when your mind won't slow down, faith when it's complicated.
Some guests have answers.
Most are still figuring it out.
If you've ever felt like there has to be more to the story, this show is for you.
Listen to if you can hear me on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
All right, now let's get on into the latest because there is a lot going down, y'all.
So there is now, or was yesterday, a video circulating of Jeannie Mai, formerly of The Real.
She was also married to rapper Jeezzie and had a daughter with him, and they were going through like a really huge public divorce, right?
So Jeannie Mai is out and she's on a little datey date, okay?
Out on a date and guess with who?
We're talking about guests.
Guess with who?
Jeannie Mai out with Anderson Park.
So this video began to circulate everywhere, people trying to figure out because it was a little intimate.
Like the location that they were at, the spot they was at is pretty intimate.
They're pretty close.
And I mean, they're not like all up on each other, kissy, kissy and all of that.
But the way that they're sitting and Anderson Park's arm is extended and the way they're talking, it is a very intimate sit down.
It is definitely not a meeting of two friends.
And even if they were going to claim that this was a meeting of two friends, the video would definitely forsake them.
Because you can, you can, these are my energy.
You could look at that video and tell, no, it's giving a little vibe you vibe right here, or giving us something more than just a friendship.
So I've confirmed that they actually are dating.
I was told that this is Jenny Mai's first dating situation.
I mean, I wouldn't even say a bit serious because I was told that it was new.
But this is kind of like the first situation that like, you know, she's out in public and, you know, the dates are consistent and repetitive since the divorce from GZ.
Now, as I've mentioned, I was told that this is pretty new.
So it's not like they're exclusive to each other.
you know and doing all of those things yet they're not in a relationship they're just friends but
not friends like they're not exclusive to each other they're not in a relationship so these are two
people that are getting know each other they're at that phase what are getting to know each other but
here's the thing though right because anderson pock was rumored to have been dating mariah carey
for this last like two years seeing them step out everywhere him holding her hand you know she had a conversation
Anderson Park doing Christmas with her and her family.
And now we see him out with Jeannie Mae.
And I did ask.
I'm like, well, what about Mariah Carey?
Crickets?
No real answer.
Now, I don't know if that means because, I mean, just in talking about this,
I'm like, well, maybe I can reach out to Mariah's team.
I've attempted to have conversations with Mariah's team before about other things,
not about dating, but I'm about other stories.
So maybe I can reach out to Mariah's team because I want to know.
So what we were seeing with Anderson Park and Mariah Carey,
was that officially a relationship or not?
Mariah Carey spun it as something casual,
but something serious enough where Anderson Park knew he was special.
But he also knew how special was for him to be doing things.
Like Christmas with the queen of Christmas is a big deal.
So I don't know if something happened there,
if, you know, they were never really exclusive,
but I will say for Anderson Pock and for Jeannie Mai to be out in public,
not caring about who shoots video of them, photo of them, anything like that.
That's a big, I mean, hello, put an exclamation point after,
but they ain't just friends, though.
It's no way.
That's a big deal.
You know what happens when you step out the house when you're either one of them.
Anderson Pock know he has been tied to Mariah Care for this last year or two.
Jeannie Mai knows the conversation around her.
currently it's her trying to heal and move on and you know all the things that she's been talking about
now that she's out of her marriage with jizi and living the single mom life and trying to figure these things out
so you already know what it's given when we catch y'all outside and they pop right outside so at this point
they're comfortable with each other enough to be mentioned together look where there's smoke there's fire
that's all i'm going to say so there will definitely be more in this
conversation and the story and y'all know we will keep you guys updated as it unfolds.

Now, speaking of relationships, Cardi B. Stefan Diggs, still no update there.
The latest with Cardi B and Stefan Diggs is that I still have no update there.
Not anything direct or sourced, but there are a lot of context clues here.
So more recently, Cardi B
did her first night
Of her Little Miss drama tour
It kicked off in Palm Springs, California
All reports said it
It was a sold-out show
Setup production
Look great
I think Cardi is definitely good
I mean she's always been one
To try and
Elevate her look, her performances
You know what I mean?
But the production
And the stage design
and, you know, Cardi's costumes,
I was watching a video of her,
and she had, like, the wind blowing.
Speaking of Mariah Carey, she had the wind blowing
and all the things, and I'm like,
I mean, Cardi B has been a superstar,
but looking at her on that stage,
I'm like, it is giving superstar.
And I'm always proud of Cardi
because I think anybody who, you know,
was supporting Cardi early days, like, you know,
and for most people early days for Cardi,
for them and Cardi B is, like, loving hip-hop.
But I mean, like, for those of us who,
were there when she was like on Instagram.
Some of us when she was still kind of in the clubs doing bookings and then started putting
out, you know, her own music and paying out of her pocket and doing these smaller venues.
Like I remember, shout out to patience.
Patience is one of my homegrown from Delaware, but I remember Cardi doing all of these smaller shows,
specifically there was one in New York that she had did.
I want to say it might have been the House of Blues.
It was somewhere like that where it was like a small, very intimate.
venue. But I remember that was the first time that I'd ever seen her do bodack.
Honestly, ever seen her perform music for real, for real, but ever seen her do bodak
yellow live. And it was a small venue. Everything she was doing at that point was like out of her
own pocket. She was putting money into everything. So to see her go from that to like this elevated
set design and this big fan moment and she's flying across the stage looking like the
Beyonce Renaissance tour, I'm like, damn, like, the level up is crazy.
But one thing I didn't see yesterday, and maybe it could be a scheduling conflict, I mean,
the Super Bowl is over.
It's not like Stefan Diggs has any more games.
I didn't see Stefan Diggs at the show at all.
First night on this tour, she's been vocal, vocal, vocal and supporting Stefan Diggs,
giving football wife.
I know she's just his girlfriend at this day, y'all.
All right.
But Cardi was popping out.
Outfits, you know what I'm saying?
And talking to the cameras sounded like a real football girlfriend,
understanding his workout regimens, his rehabbing of his injury.
So we go from that to every time he's scoring touchdown in different games
leading up to the Super Bowl, this is what we're getting here.
And then Super Bowl hits and it is quiet.
Let's take a listen.
Inspired message for Stefan before the game.
One inspired message.
Good love.
How we celebrate it?
She did a little recap on the Super Bowl.
It really was just kind of like an ad for Airbnb on her Instagram, though,
where she posted herself running off the field and, you know, the Airbnb where she was staying at.
We have yet to see her post her talk about anything except for the big Super Bowl.
That's still the deal for me.
When I saw that, I'm like, okay, there is, again, where there's smoke, there's fire.
There's trouble in that paradise right now.
And there are a lot of things that people are, you know, rumored and, you know, that are being reprimored.
as the reason why because Cardi Norsefant has come out and said anything but it's there if you if you go looking forward a lot of things are there we just haven't heard anything confirmed and don't be honest with y'all I didn't expect to see Stefan digs at the opening night of her tour I didn't and the reason why I didn't expect to see him is because of how quiet Cardi has been about the Super Bowl there's obviously something going on there now Cardi B did have her kids there I know I saw her like fresh off stage where her baby backstage
as well.
She even, so during the show,
she dropped some shots at ice.
Let's take a listen.
Bitch, if ice come in here,
we're going to joke their asses.
Bitch, I got some bear maids in the back.
They take it to my face, bitch.
Let's go.
And then I saw some people who were pointing out
the fact that when she did one of her famous songs
where she mentions Offset's name,
she didn't say his name but it's like duh even if she wasn't with stephan diggs it's like at this point
she is disattached from offset outside of them sharing kids together why was she insert this i mean
i think she's like 34 35 cities on this tour maybe we get a little stephan dig support around like
15 they maybe being made up by then i don't know because i don't know what's happening they
won't say anything but if we're looking i'm following the i'm following the clues y'all
I am following the clues and it's just not looking like right now is anything too good.
But also, whatever did go down that may have changed how they interact with each other
and support each other publicly right now in this moment, it's not forever.
Envy made a good point.
DJ Envy on the Breakfast Club when I was talking about this last and I was telling him like,
y'all, normally I'm able to kind of get a good sense in just a context conversation from
my sources, you know, that are in and around the Cardi B. Stefan Diggs camp. That didn't happen this time.
And he was like, well, maybe they're trying to figure it out. Maybe they're trying to work it out.
And look, I minding my business when they come to people figuring out their is, okay? Because
when me and my man be figuring out ours, I want you all to mind y'all business too.
But it's Valentine's Day weekend. So I am thinking about what does Valentine's Day weekend look like for them?
Will they spend it together? Will that be a thing? Will we see?
because if there is anything wrong,
Stefan Diggs,
this is the best time.
You know, when you plan
break up the makeup,
holidays come through.
This is where you, look,
this is where you pay like your way.
We need to see the flower deliveries
and the car delivery,
like all the reassurance.
We need to see it.
So we'll see what happens.
I'll keep you guys posting.
And of course,
I'm going to be on,
I'm on every source and every angle
trying to figure out
what their Valentine's Day looks like.
But it might be one of those things
that we just got to sit back on that watch.
We got to sit back and watch.
Because Cardi B, one thing about her,
she's really good at controlling her own narrative.
She'll get on Twitter spaces
and talk about something before anybody else has a chance to
or Twitter itself.
I honestly expect, or I expected,
but it didn't happen the first night.
I told one of our producers last night
before we all went to bed
after we had had our producer meeting for the show,
I'm like, when we get up in the morning,
there's going to be something from Cardi B's tour.
Because it's the first night where she kicks it off.
And Cardi is smart.
Cardi wants to cause conversation outside of the arena.
Cardi's smart.
Something is going to cause conversation.
I thought that she was going to potentially mention something about the breakup rumors
or something like that before going into a song.
But it was a political statement.
And I'm mad at it.
I also saw that, you know, she had did the moment where she does,
because she did the ice moment and then went into, I like it.
I like it like that.
And then she did this flag presentation of all these various flags before she did Bodega Badi, which a lot of people appreciated her doing Bodega Badi on the S&L stage just because of the political statement that it made, especially during this time when people are talking about ICE and immigration and, you know, just all of the things that people are facing right now.
But with all these days going on in the world, party does have personal things happening.
And I think she's going to show that on the stage.
And we'll be tuned in karate.
I think that's the best way to do it, baby.
Sout them tickets out.
Sell them tickets.
I'll grow.
We may add you.
I know I'm not.
I'm tuned in.
I'm locked in.
Now, this has been another episode of the latest with Lauren La Rosa.

Whether you're in a relationship,
casually dating, or proudly single,
it's a great time to reflect on yourself and what you want.
I'm Hope Woodard, host of the Boy Sober podcast,
and each week we're looking at love from every angle.
Listen to Boy Sober,
That's B-O-Y-S-O-B-E-R on the I-Hart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is an I-Hart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
