Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hi, it's Joe Interesting, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life. And today I'm talking with my dear friend, Krista Williams. It can change you in the best way possible. Dance with the change. Dance with the breakdowns.
Starting point is 00:00:22 The embodiment of Pisces' intuition with Capricorn power moves. So I'm like delusionally proud of my charge. Listen to the Spirit Daughter podcast starting on February 24th on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcast. I'm Amanda Knox, and in the new podcast, Doubt the case of Lucy Letby, we unpack the story of an unimaginable tragedy that gripped the UK in 2023. But what if we didn't get the whole story? I mean, this has been made to fit. The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapsed. What if the truth was disguised by a story we chose to believe?
Starting point is 00:00:59 Oh, my God, I think she might be innocent. Listen to Doubt, the case of Lucy Letby, on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Clayton Eckerd. In 2022, I was the lead of ABC's The Bachelor. But here's the thing. Bachelor fans hated him. If I could press a button and rewind it all I would. That's when his life took a disturbing turn.
Starting point is 00:01:23 A one-night stand would end in a courtroom. The media is here. this case has gone viral. The dating contract. Agree to date me, but I'm also suing you. This is unlike anything I've ever seen before. I'm Stephanie Young. Listen to Love Trapped on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:01:42 or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, host of the on-purpose podcast. I'm joined by Luke Combs, award-winning country music artist, and one of the most authentic voices in music today. The guy that says he's always going to be there and that will do anything to be there is the only guy that's not there. No matter what, I'm going to prioritize my wife and my children.
Starting point is 00:02:05 I dread the conversation with my son. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Chetty on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome to Reasonably Shady, a production of the Black Effect Podcast Network and IHeart Radio. Welcome to another episode of Reasonably Shady. I am Giselle Bryant What's up, what's up? I'm Robin Dixon. Thank you for being here with us once again.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Yours. Yes, we appreciate you like always. Like always, we are in the building. It's a little gloomy outside, but we are not gloomy. No. We are sunshine and roses. Yes, we are not. For sure.
Starting point is 00:02:51 The snow is no longer here. Everything's melted for the most part. Okay, one of my shady moments is something that's not melted. Oh, shit. Okay. Yeah, we might as well just get into it. Okay. Okay, so I went to go, this was, this was three days ago. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:13 I go to Baltimore to Cal's spot to get my hair done. Have you ever been to his spot? Mm-hmm. Okay. Yeah. So, you know, so it's like a strip mall type thing. So it's like a building with a bunch of parking spaces. Right.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Okay. Yeah. So whenever it snowed, I guess the person that decided to like clean up the snow and like make it so that we could use the parking lot. Right. they put all the snow in the middle of the parking lot and it's maybe 20 feet high like it's the biggest amount of snow I've ever seen okay so it's like 20 feet high it's taken about 10 15 parking spaces right why wouldn't you push all the snow to like the corner right or far away that why wouldn't
Starting point is 00:04:02 they do that because they're lazy so wait so so so it's in the middle so then are there parking spots open behind it there's parking a little bit behind it but it's right in the middle so there's parking on the side a little bit in the front a little bit in the back because this parking line is huge yeah but y'all put the entire mound of snow 20 feet high in the middle of the parking lot so imagine going to like target Walmart and the snow is all in the middle right there's the dumbest shit i've ever seen right so i'm like cow who did this and he's like like I know. Right.
Starting point is 00:04:35 I said this isn't definitely a man. Right. No woman would ever think this is smart. Right. This is the best place to put the snow. Yes. Like they should have put it all around the outside. Around the edges on the outside.
Starting point is 00:04:50 And then you wouldn't be taking up all these parking spaces. Right. Yeah. So this is the work of idiots. Yeah. And so I said this snow is going to because it's 20 feet high. It's going to be here until August. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:00 That's the problem. And it's hard. It's a rock. Yes. And it's a big piece. It's like an ice mountain. Right. Yes. It is. It can slide off the back of that thing. Get your sled. It is. It is crazy. But yes, that is my shady moment. It's the stupidity of idiots that are not women. Right. The end. We know is me. We know. We know. We know. We know. Yes. Okay. So my shady moment is just, I don't know what is going on. with the Postal Service. Okay. They have been losing packages left and right, like out of control. And I'm talking about packages, people ordering reasonably shady merch.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Really? Yes. And my embellished hats. Like, we keep getting messages and emails from people saying that they're lost. That saying like, it says, you know, I tracked my package. It says it was delivered. Right. It was never delivered.
Starting point is 00:05:57 And usually in this, you know, I've been in business with embellished for, I don't know, gosh, four or five years now. Yeah. And so that'll happen, but then the package will usually show up in like a couple of days or something. Okay. For whatever reason, like sometimes the mail carriers mark, they have to like reach a quota. Uh-huh. And so they'll mark packages as delivered for the day.
Starting point is 00:06:20 And then they're not. And then they'll deliver them like the next day or the next day. Or sometimes they deliver them to the wrong house and your neighbor kind of like, like, oh, this is not my package. They give them to you. Yeah. No. None of these packages are showing up for these people.
Starting point is 00:06:33 What? We're not getting our people. They stop? They're not getting their stuff. And so we either got to like rescind it or I don't know. Some of them doing chargebacks and I'm like, come on now, y'all. I'm like, don't do that. Like we'll send it. We'll send you some more. We'll rescind it. But it's weird. It's just happening a lot more frequently. Okay. Like, than it has in the past. Right. It's very annoying. I went to, so we're sorry for that. Yeah. Just say that. First and foremost, sorry for that. I went to the post office. actually yesterday because, you know, I don't check my P-O box like all the time, but I just, I was in there. I was in the area. So I guess Chloe Kardashian's people, they sent me a box, a huge box of the cloud popcorn. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Oh, nice. Yeah, rats didn't ate through that shit. Oh, yeah. So they were like, they handed it to me. Oh, hell. And then I turned and I realized like there was a hole in the box. And then I like looked in the hole and everything in there is like torn. smithereens and gone. So I said, oh, I think that rats got it. You think? Oh, my God. Yeah, I was
Starting point is 00:07:45 disturbed. That should have been a shady moment. Yeah, that was disgusting. Actually, I forgot. He just like touch the box. You think about the rats running all on the box. So he said, do you want to file a claim? File a claim? No, I don't. I just want to leave it, act like this moment never happened. Just have them rescind it to your house. Of course. Of course. Yeah, of course. like, right of the way. Yeah. Yeah. You can't leave food. Food.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Food at the post office. No. But had I known, I would have been gotten it. Oh, my gosh. Oh, yeah. And it was probably, I don't know. It was a huge box. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Them rats went to town. Damn. Yeah. That's disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. So, yes, the United States Postal Service needs to get it together. Yeah. Well, now they need to get their, the pest control.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Let's get that pest control together. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. I was like, so just a man, ew! Yeah, no, all of it. All of it, all of it. Yeah, I'm a little traumatized. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Okay, so just to today or the other day, whatever, Prince Andrew has been arrested. Yes. For his affiliation, his whatever, whatever to Epstein, because Epstein's files have been dropping. Yes. Left, right, and third. And so they didn't say, okay, over here in England,
Starting point is 00:09:00 we don't participate in all this Epstein nonsense. you will be arrested. But what took this long? Because this has been a top, I feel like we've known about Prince Andrew for a very long time. 100%. And was it, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:09:13 I don't know what took so long. Or was it that there was never, it was just speculation that he was involved. And then now that the files are dropping, they're getting concrete evidence. Yeah. And I don't, I think now that the files are dropping, yes, there's concrete.
Starting point is 00:09:26 He said X, Y, and Z. But I don't even necessarily know if it's about him being a pedophile. I think, allegedly, I think it's about something he said. I think he was telling like secret information. Oh, like royal business? I think he was telling royal business. Something happened with that.
Starting point is 00:09:44 It's not straight up like we know you were out here messing with young kids. That's why we're arresting you. Really? I believe. I saw that Virginia. Guthrie. Yes. Her family released a statement pretty much saying like.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Thank God. Yes. They were happy that he was. was finally being arrested or held accountable. Right. So it had to, I would think, had to maybe involve some of that. Yeah, I would hope so. But that, but, you know, his main connection to all this was her.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Because she decided, yeah, I'm telling. Okay. Yeah. And then, but you know she's unaligned. Yes. Okay. And you know she said, I would never commit suicide. Right.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Yes. Right. And now she's, she supposedly committed suicide. Yes. All right. So let's see. He was arrested on suspicion of misconduct. in public office.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Okay. This followed revelations from released Jeffrey Epstein files suggesting he passed confidential government information to the convicted sex offender while serving as a UK trade envoy. Yeah. So they're arresting him on something not even related to Virginia or any type of sexual misconduct. Right. But I mean, listen, I'll take it.
Starting point is 00:10:55 Yeah. I'll take it. But I, I am, because all of these guys are leaving their job. left and right and the third. Yeah. In other countries. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:11:05 We're still waiting for United States to follow suit. I mean, when they say, I guess the person in charge of the Olympics that are going to be held in L.A. Yes. He's involved. And so people are trying to urge him to step down. Yeah. But like I said before, yeah, you want all these people to be held accountable and step down. But the man whose name is in the files, would they say like 38,000?
Starting point is 00:11:27 Thousand times. Thousand times. Like, he's just cool He's just cool The whole Pan Bondi of it all And I'm not going to We're not going to stay here long But the Pam Bondi of it all
Starting point is 00:11:39 And her testifying And her actions And the way that she just acted Like a stone cold Asshole Yes It was bothersome Well she sounded like a parrot
Starting point is 00:11:49 For Trump She sounded like she had her Trump Talking points And she she was like It was kind of It was very cring And embarrassing Because it's like
Starting point is 00:11:59 Lady You are a little literally reading off Trump talking points. Yes. And you're getting them out. Like you just are finding any time, any opportunity to get them out. Yeah. What do you have Trump derangement syndrome?
Starting point is 00:12:11 Like what? You're not even a lawyer. You're not even a lawyer. Like what? You're a horrible lawyer. No. Huh? I just need everybody do their research on her.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Okay. Because I have. Okay. I'm going to give it to myself. Y'all do it in your own private moments. I just need everyone that's in public office. Just do your damn job. And do it with respect and dignity.
Starting point is 00:12:32 Just do it. Like, I don't, I don't care what part of you are. Just do your job. And if you've done some horrible things in your past, don't run for office. The end. Okay. Well, but they see that it doesn't matter. Depending on who you're friends with.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Well, I just, I just hope that the releasing of all these Epstein files are not in vain. I hope that a whole lot of things change. I feel like they are. Like right now, I feel like they're in vain. And that's unfortunate. Yeah. But we'll see. All right.
Starting point is 00:13:00 All right. Now, I do want to get on to a lighter note. Yes, please. Because they are saying that, you know, the Olympics are going on now. In the Olympic Village, they ran out of condoms. I heard about that, like, instantly. And they ran through 10,000 condoms in three days. Aren't y'all supposed to be getting ready for your sport?
Starting point is 00:13:24 You're supposed to be preserving your energy for your... Y'all are going. Y'all are having sex. like rabbits. What? 10,000 condoms in three days. They are getting their life. This is the best time of their life. But now when I know that they're like falling and tripping, they're coming down the slopes and y'all are doing a tumble. I don't know why. That's why. Because you used about 8,000 of those counties last night. This is horrible. You used all of your energy. Yes. The night before. Maybe even the morning before. Yeah. But aren't you as an athlete, aren't
Starting point is 00:14:00 you supposed to preserve your energy? You are. Yeah. But hey, yes. Did Juan have a rule when he was in I know we've talked about this before when he was in the league? Yeah, it was no sex game day. Right. Was it? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Okay. What about the night before? Not supposed to, but like, we would. Like he would try, it would be an, like you would, you would, you would try not to. Okay. Or just keep that in mind. Keep that in my, the day before. Yeah. But about two days before. No, you're good. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:32 You're good. Okay. But even if it's the day before, like, okay, like earlier in the day, fine. But like, don't be like up late at night. Earlier in the day, the day before. Yes. But not late at night. Not right.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Yes. No nighttime sessions. Yes. Okay. And definitely not in the morning day up. No, no, no, no. Okay. You don't used to date a football player.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Okay. And he was like, Wednesday was the cut off. Oh, really? If they had a game Sunday, Wednesday's the cut off. Oh, wow. Yeah. Okay. But I'm like, that's what I said.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Damn. Like, good Lord. How much are you trying to store it up? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, because I feel like, man, they got to get it out. And that's how they get it out on Sunday. Oh.
Starting point is 00:15:08 So it's the building of intensity. Oh. It's like, I want to kill everybody. I want to kill everybody. Okay. Anyway, moving on. We digress. Hi, this is Joe Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology,
Starting point is 00:15:28 natal charts and how to step into your most vibrant life. And I just sat down with a mini driver. The Irish traveler said when I was 16, you're going to have a terrible time with men. Actor, storyteller, and unapologetic Aquarian visionary. Aquarius is all about freedom-loving and different perspectives. And I find a lot of people with strong placements in Aquarius are misunderstood. A son and Venus and Aquarius in her seventh house spark her unconventional approach.
Starting point is 00:15:58 approach to partnership. He really has taught me to embrace people sleeping in different rooms, on different houses and different places, but just an embracing of the isness of it all. If you're navigating your own transformation or just want to chart side view into how a leading artist integrates astrology, creativity, and real life, this episode is a must listen. Listen to the Spirit Daughter podcast starting on February 24th on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcast. I'm Clayton Eckerd, and in 2022, I was the lead of ABC's The Bachelor. Unfortunately, it didn't go according to plan.
Starting point is 00:16:37 He became the first Bachelor to ever have his final Rose rejected. The internet turned on him. If I could press a button and rewind it all I would. But what happened to Clayton after the show made even bigger headlines. It began as a one-night stand and ended in a courtroom, with Clayton at the center of a very strange paternity scandal. media is here. This case has gone viral. The dating contract. Agree to date me, but I'm also suing you.
Starting point is 00:17:04 Please search for it. This is unlike anything I've ever seen before. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped. This season, an epic battle of he said she said, and the search for accountability in a sea of lies. Listen to Love Trapped on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What if Mind control is real. If you could control the behavior of anybody around you, what kind of life would you have? Can you hypnotically persuade someone to buy a car? When you look at your car, you're going to become overwhelmed with such good feelings.
Starting point is 00:17:47 Can you hypnotize someone into sleeping with you? I gave her some suggestions to be sexually aroused. Can you get someone to join your cult? NLP was used on me to access my subconscious. NLP, aka neurolinguistic programming, is a blend of hypnosis, linguistics, and psychology. Fans say it's like finally getting a user manual for your brain. It's about engineering consciousness. Mind games is the story of NLP. It's crazy cast of disciples and the fake doctor who invented it at a new age commune and sold it to guys in suits. He stood trial for murder and got
Starting point is 00:18:25 acquitted. The biggest mind game of all, NLP might actually work. This is wild. Listen to mind games on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome to the A building. I'm Hans Charles. I'm Inalick Lamoma. It's 1969. Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. have both been assassinated. And Black America was out of breaking point. Writing and protests broke out on an unprecedented scale.
Starting point is 00:18:52 In Atlanta, Georgia at Martin's Almermata, Moore House College, the students had their own protest. It featured two prominent figures in Black history. Martin Luther King Sr. and a young student, Samuel L. Jackson. To be in what we really thought was a revolution. I mean, people would die. In 1968, the murder of Dr. King, which traumatized everyone. The FBI had a role in the murder of a Black Panther leader in Chicago. This story is about protest. It echoes in today's world far more than it should, and it will blow your mind. Listen to the A building on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Okay, so I do want to talk about America's Next Top Model. Oh, yes. You watched it. All three episodes? I watched all three episodes. Get through it real quick. So on Netflix, is it Netflix? On Netflix is a documentary.
Starting point is 00:19:54 And I told, we talked about it a couple weeks ago, how about I was so excited that they're doing a documentary. on America's Next Top Model because I watched, well, I realized as I'm watching the documentary that I checked out after season three. Okay. Maybe I jumped in season four, but I was pretty much done. And how many seasons were there? 24. Damn!
Starting point is 00:20:14 I had no clue. And I didn't even know. They replaced Tyrus' ass. They got rid of her, changed her out for Rita Oura. Oh. At what point? Okay. I think maybe season 22, maybe.
Starting point is 00:20:28 You know, towards the end. Okay. Anyway. Okay. Have you seen this? I have not. So I started to watch it at nighttime in the bed and I fell asleep. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:37 So tell me your thoughts. So definitely I will say reality television has made some changes. For the better, for the cast. You know, this is a situation in which they put all the girls in a house or in a room all together. And they were like, we're going to document everything. Right. And unbeknownst to me, the rule was if you go into the bathroom by yourself, we won't film it. But if you go in there with somebody else, we will film it. Oh, wow. That's what I said. What? There was a night that they went to another country. They went to maybe Milan or something. And this could have been season one, maybe season two. They go to Milan. It was season two. And there was a whole lot of drinking going on. They invited some guys. Did they encourage them to drink? The drinking was there.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Okay. They invited some, well, I mean, say this, they invited. So they had worked with. And I would think a lot of them were under 21? They were. Okay. They did this, uh, photo shoot with some guys earlier in the day. A very nice looking Italian guys.
Starting point is 00:21:44 They invited them back over to the crib that night. Production did. Okay. So yeah, they were drinking. They passed in the drinks. There's a hot tub. They all in the hot tub with the girls. And then one girl in particular, like, Miss.
Starting point is 00:21:58 I'm from the country USA. Like, you know, she worked at Walgreens. Right. Like she was like Susie Q. Suzy Q. Sure. Susie Q. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:10 Typical Midwestern. Midwester. There we go. That's what I was looking for. Midwestern. She's in the hot tub with the guy. They drink it, drinking, drinking. Somewhere in a hot tub, she blacks out, right?
Starting point is 00:22:20 She has, so they show them in the hot tub all over each other. They show them in the bed having sex. Wait, this is on the episode? Yes. They aired it on TV? Yes. Huh? Like they show kind of like them in the bed and he's on top of her.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Mind you the whole time, she was talking about her boyfriend back at home back in the Midwest. What season is this? This is two. Oh. So I feel like I watched early seasons too. Yeah. So then it gets better. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Think about this, Robin. Okay. The next day, she's crying. She's mortified. She's like, oh my God, what happened? I have sex with you. And she's like, he's like, yeah, whatever. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:22:57 So I feel like I remember this. Yeah, it's horrible. Coming back. So then, mind you, Robin, they don't have phones. They don't give the girls phones because they're, you know, you're on lockdown. Kind of like a traitor's. Yeah. She says, I want to go home.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Get me out of here. I'm leaving. They're like, oh, no, you're not. They were like, she's like, I need to talk to my boyfriend. I'm going home. They said, okay, here's a phone. Call them. So they get, I give her a phone.
Starting point is 00:23:22 She calls a boyfriend. She's crying, crying, crying. And he's like, how could you? do this to me. How could you do this to me? And she's in the corner of the room, hunched over in the fetal position, crying, bawling her eyes out. They show all of this. Wow. It is so, it's beyond evasive. Wow. Invasive. What I say? Evasive. It's all of that. So then she said that the cameraman got up. I mean, after she was like done, the cameraman said to her when it was all said and done, we're really sorry. This was horrible. Like, I'm really sorry we had to film this.
Starting point is 00:23:55 You're sorry Can't remember like I'm just doing my child They just do that They just clocking in So They asked Ms. Banks Okay That'd be the almighty Tyra
Starting point is 00:24:06 How do you feel about the whole shandy thing? Yeah Because it was I don't want to say It's because it wasn't like date rate But it was just like Yeah Come on
Starting point is 00:24:16 She wasn't in her right mind And y'all let this dude Have sex with her Right You know what Tyra said? What? the executive producer of the show, you know what she said? What? That was a production issue.
Starting point is 00:24:28 That really didn't have anything to do with me. What? Okay. Last I checked, Tyra, you were an EP on this show. She's trying to absolve herself of any liability. Any lawsuits? What's her name about to sue? Well, she was on there and she, even to this day, this is, I don't know, 20 years later, this
Starting point is 00:24:46 woman's crying telling the story. Wow. So she was affected because her and her boyfriend did get back together, but she said, okay. This is the love of her life. He could never get over it. So they ended up breaking up and, you know, she went on to live the rest of her life. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:24:59 Wow. Tyra, you're trying to wipe your hands at that. Yes. And, ma'am, you can't. Wow. You cannot. Wow. That was bothersome to me.
Starting point is 00:25:09 Yes. Extremely. I'd be damned if a cameraman did that to, well, obviously not me because we're grown women and we would speak up for ourselves, but like to my child. Yeah. Yeah. That's horrible. But I feel like, I mean, think about it. So when it happens, I feel like this, when you were going through the story, I'm like, okay, I actually feel like I remember this.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Yeah. It was no big deal, was it? Like we just, we, the audience, us, we watched it in like, we watched it in disbelief, but we was watching. Right. But it wasn't, but it wasn't like, oh, this is horrible. They need, you know, they should stop. They should. Yeah, they should stop this show.
Starting point is 00:25:49 Right. and Tower of Banks, how dare you do this, you know? Yeah, no. We didn't have that. Because reality television was new to us. So we're just watching like, okay, this is what happens on reality TV. Okay, when did the real world start? Like in comparison to America's next top model.
Starting point is 00:26:07 So it definitely, real world was first. Yeah. You know, it was. But I'm saying, like, how many years? I don't know. We had years of real world of like the kind of, okay, just put the cameras, put these people on a house together. put the cameras on and let's see what happens.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Right. I did see when I turned it on, like the very first part of the show, Tyra was saying how it wasn't until the pandemic when people started getting angry. They started rewatching it. Right. Yes. Right. The younger people, the millennials or like, I can always get these damn generations
Starting point is 00:26:42 mixed up. My kids generation. The millennials and younger. So when they're watching it during the pandemic, because they're binge watching it, they're getting angry at what they're watching. Yeah. But when I saw it back, I was mortified. I was like, y'all let this happen?
Starting point is 00:26:55 Right. But when we were watching it, it was fine. I think. When we watch Diddy and how he treated all those people on whatever shows he had, making the band, it was fine. But today, we wouldn't go for it. It's not fine. No. It is not fine.
Starting point is 00:27:11 I could not imagine. What else was fine that's no longer fine? So many things. So many things. How about white parties? How about any island? There is no island that is safe. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:25 All of that. Yeah. All of it. All of that. None of that stuff is fine anymore. So, you know, kudos to the younger generation. Oh, for speaking up. For watching that and seeing like, damn, this shit is hooked up.
Starting point is 00:27:35 And for hopefully we don't perpetuate that type of behavior and activity. They were even doing like, because you know how the models had challenges. Yeah. They were doing challenges. They were like, okay, we're going to change your ethnicity. I saw that. We're going to make you blackface. What?
Starting point is 00:27:49 I saw that. It's just like, okay. I just don't understand how, okay, so all of that went down. But like years later, Tyra, your stance on it, your thoughts on it, what you say about it has got to be different than that was a production issue. Yeah. Then, you know, her and Jay fell out. Right. Well, she fell out with like everybody, right?
Starting point is 00:28:12 She fell out with everybody. But she did blame it on the network exec who said, we're getting rid of all three of them. Nigel, Jay and Jay. Uh-huh. Yeah, Miss Jay and Jay, right. And she didn't... There was one point in time where Jay, the makeup artist Jay,
Starting point is 00:28:30 wanted to leave. Okay. He wanted to take a break from the show. And so he wrote her an email saying, you know, this is a lot. I just really want to take a break. They're like, he's like in season 10. So you can imagine, like, you just need a little break.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Right. She stopped speaking to him. Wow. Okay. Mind you, they started this together. They were friends prior to starting this show. Okay. So, you know, it's just, he alluded to like, it seemed that Tyra put the show over anything else and the network and all that.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Yeah. So, yeah. Yeah, it seems she got pretty cold. Like, so if she's, if she can't, you know, in 2026, look back at what these girls and say, hey, I was wrong. Right. say, you know, in retrospect, at the time, we didn't think it was wrong. But now we do. I be damn.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Like this type of behavior can't happen. She kind of said that, but not really. She's not really. And it was interesting because Eva's not really in it. Eva's actually not in it. I mean, they show her, but she's not one of the people like giving her. Yeah. Because I know she's got a different POV on it now.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Ain't no way. But the majority of the last. ladies that went through this whole thing are like, you know, F. Tyra. Right. Like, Tyra, you're horrible. The girl that she was screaming, I was rooting for you. All of that foolishness. It was like, that girl is like, girl, get out, Tyra, get out of here. Right. Right. And they never got deals. That's the whole other thing. It's like you went through America's next time model. You put me through all of this, all of these challenges. And at the end I win, and I don't get, and the deal is like make believe. Yeah. Yeah. It's like nothing. I mean,
Starting point is 00:30:16 that's kind of like, I mean, so there's very few that actually, like, you can name that are, like, current celebrities or that have benefited from it. Like what? Yaya. Who's Yaya? She became an actress. So she was in, um, was she in Dream Girls with Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson? She was the third one. Wasn't that her?
Starting point is 00:30:35 I guess. Okay. I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. was like, wasn't she on the season with Eva maybe?
Starting point is 00:30:40 I don't know. She was on one of the early seasons because I remember her. Uh-huh. Um, she wasn't like tall. Okay, Eva isn't either Right, yeah So Eva for sure Yeah
Starting point is 00:30:50 Okay, you say yeah, yeah, Takara Yes, Takara And I don't That's pretty much it For me, that's it But when you watch it
Starting point is 00:31:01 You're like, oh, you remember the people Like you remember their faces Okay But No, that show didn't do nothing for those girls Nothing for those girls Because Eva, I feel like Eva,
Starting point is 00:31:13 You was gonna make it regardless You got the personality. You got the, yes, it gave you a platform. But like at one, at some point, you know, you were going to be fine regardless. Right. If she had, if she had exposure. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:26 In another way. Totally. Totally. So I'm a little disappointed and I don't want to be the next contestant on America's next time. A little disappointed. Okay. That's all I got to say about that. We do, this is Black History Month.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Thank you very much. We are still in Black History Month. Do we have any facts? Well, I do want to say Jesse Jackson. Oh, yes. He, God rest his soul. He passed away recently. I have a dream.
Starting point is 00:31:54 No, not that's Martin Luther King's. I have a dream. Keep hope alive. Jesse Jackson is. Keep hope alive. We are going to continue to keep hope alive. Jesse Jackson was, you know, a huge civil rights pioneer. He ran for presidency twice.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Was it twice? I don't know. I don't know. But one time he got very far. Yeah. Before Barack Obama, in honor, this is, yes, before Barack Obama, in honor of Jesse Jackson, we will continue to keep hope alive. Yes, we will keep hope alive. Yes, indeed. Rest and peace. And he was 84, I believe. Yep. Lived a huge life. Huge life. One of our Black History Month facts could be that my forever president, Barack Obama. Yes. Confirmed. There are aliens out here. There are aliens out here. And my forever president said he hadn't seen them but they're here.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Is that what he said? He said something like that. Yeah. He said he kind of tried to clean it up because I'm sure he got a phone call. Right. But from the CIA or from an alien, okay? Might have got a phone call from the top dog alien. He said he saw them.
Starting point is 00:33:04 No. He said he has not seen them. He said, the guy asked him, are there aliens? Okay. He said, yes. he said not like at area 51. Right. But he said, I haven't seen them.
Starting point is 00:33:18 But, you know, it's not this big conspiracy because if there were, I'm sure the president of the United States would know. Right. In other words, they're in area 52. They're not in area 51. They didn't move somewhere because everybody knows about area 51, so we got to move them. Right. Oh, he said they're not in some underground tunnel. They are, you know, he just believes that, yes, there's other forms of life out there.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Yeah. They fly in spaceships. They are here amongst us. Yeah. Well, you think they're disguised as human beings? I think there's that. Yeah. I think there's them like jumping in and jumping out. Like they'll land, they'll do some stuff, and then they're out. I want their technology. Yeah. Their technology is on another level. I was just the other day driving in a car and I was like, I remember being a young kid, and I was convinced that by the 2000s, we were going to have flying cars. Me too. Right? We do.
Starting point is 00:34:18 We don't. We don't. Wait a minute. Have you heard about the Waymo cars? Yes. And who's driving them? Right. Nobody.
Starting point is 00:34:27 Okay. Right? So this is like, guys, this is not true, but it's true. But I don't know. Does that we believe in anything? They said that prisoners are driving them Oh What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:34:43 Like there's a control base They're not For the waymo's I'm gonna explain how they're driving around All over the place The same way the Tesla self-drives It's just programmed Yeah
Starting point is 00:34:55 Okay Or somebody Would you get in one? No So if you had to call it Uber There was no Uber's available No lifts available And the Waymo was available
Starting point is 00:35:06 I would have to get in the Waymo because I'd have to get to where I'm trying to go. So you would get in one. That would be the last resort. Right. Would you? I don't know. I don't think I would. But they say that prisoners have like the whole infrastructure.
Starting point is 00:35:19 They have a control room. And it's kind of like they're playing, what's the roadblocks? It's kind of like they're playing Roblox with us. And they're driving the Waymo's around. That is not true. Okay. I'm just trying to let you know. That is not true.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Okay. Okay. So I have a fun black history fact. Okay. Did you know that the wedding dress design? Jackie Kennedy's wedding dress designer was a black woman. Is it the lady that went to Hampton? The costume designer?
Starting point is 00:35:44 Yes. I don't know that she went to Hampton, but her name is Anne Lowe. So in 1953, designer Anne Lowe's wedding dress for Jackie Kennedy is admired nationwide. So she's born in 1898. She's the first black American fashion designer to gain widespread renown. I love that. Yeah, I didn't know that. That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:36:03 That is so amazing that Jackie Kennedy interested. black woman. Yeah. To design her wedding dress. Yeah. No, totally. Because she knew what was up. Right. She knew what was up. That's awesome. That's just like, did you say, I know you didn't watch the reunion, but that's just like, you know, we asked Andy Cohen what kind of chocolate he likes or something. Oh, I did see a clip of something. A mention of that. Yeah. And he said the black and a bear. The black. Sweet of the juice. Because Andy knows what's up? Well, Andy, you need to show these people. We don't, you want to see everyone else boyfriend, love life. Like, we need to see yours. He showed me. Oh, he did? Yeah. Privately, I'm talking about he needs a show to public. Oh, he ain't doing that.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Why not? And he'd be the first one to be like, because that's why I'm not on a reality television, Giselle. Well, you are. Right. Yes. Right. Andy.
Starting point is 00:36:49 Anyway. He's a show public. He's love interest. Hi. This is Joe Wintersstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life. And I just sat down with a. the mini driver. Unfortunately, it didn't go according to plan. He became the first bachelor to ever have his final rose rejected. The internet turned on him. If I could press a button and rewind it all I would. But what happened to Clayton after the show made even bigger headlines. It began as a one-night stand and ended in a courtroom with Clayton at the center of a very strange paternity scandal.
Starting point is 00:38:32 The media is here. This case has gone viral. The dating contract. Agree to date me, but I'm also suing you. Please search for it. This is unlike anything I've ever seen before. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped.

If you could control the behavior of anybody, everybody around you, what kind of wife would you have? Can you hypnotically persuade someone to buy a car? When you look at your car, you're going to become overwhelmed with such good feelings.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Can you hypnotize someone into sleeping with you? I gave her some suggestions to be sexually aroused. Can you get someone to join your cult? NLP was used on me to access my subconscious. NLP, aka neurolinguistic programming, is a blend of hypnosis, linguistics, and psychology. Fans say it's like finally getting a user manual for your brain. It's about engineering consciousness. Mind Games is the story of NLP.
Starting point is 00:39:49 It's crazy cast of disciples and the fake doctor who invented it at a new age commune and sold it to guys in suits. He stood trial for murder and got acquitted. Starting point is 00:40:13 I'm Hans Charles. I'm Inalick Lamoma. It's 1969. Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. had both been assassinated. And Black America was out of breaking point. Writing and protests broke out on an unprecedented scale. In Atlanta, Georgia, at Martin's Almermata,
Starting point is 00:40:29 Morehouse College, the students had their own protest. It featured two prominent figures in black history, Martin Luther King's senior and a young student, Samuel L. Jackson. To be in what we really thought was a revolution. I mean, people would die. 1968, the murder of Dr. King,
Starting point is 00:40:49 which traumatized everyone. The FBI had a role in the murder of a Black Panther leader in Chicago. This story is about protest. It echoes in today's world far more than it should, and it will blow your mind.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Listen to the A building on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast. or wherever you get your podcasts. Okay, so I do want to talk about Boris Kujo. Oh, what about him? Have you seen his interview that he did recently? No.
Starting point is 00:41:21 You don't know what I'm talking about at all. I saw him interviewing and I kept scrolling. Okay. So I actually, because the title of the post was something like him talking about not letting anybody like take your energy. Okay. Right. He talks about a lot of things. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:41 First and foremost, Boris, no idea that you were this intelligent. Oh, really? No idea that you were this worldly. Okay. I mean, I knew he was from Germany or something. Yeah, he was German. So Boris's last time, Boris did like one of those firemen shows. He did, um...
Starting point is 00:42:00 Oh. Was it like one of the Chicago? Yeah, Chicago Fire. I think he was on one of those. Boris Kujo has been an actor for a long time and he's married to Nicole, who we love, who was on Sex and City and shoot, she's done a million things.
Starting point is 00:42:15 She's a Baltimoreian. A Baltimoreian beautiful girl. Lady. They were married forever. And oh, I think I started watching because he was talking about life after your kids are gone. Okay. Like he's empty nesting.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Got it. So I was struck by his, he broke down how, like France, and another country are still trying to colonize Africa, parts of Africa. What? And he broke that thing down. Oh, wow. And I was like, wow, I didn't even know, I knew that you were from, I think he's originally from Germany.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Yeah. But his astuteness to how things are, have not changed, and they're still the same. Yeah. Was fascinating. Wow. So you should watch that. He's on a podcast. with some people.
Starting point is 00:43:12 Yeah, that's what I saw. I saw him. Yeah, it's a podcast interview. Yeah, it's a podcast and interview. He's talking to two guys that I believe are, one of the guys was on the talk. Okay, okay. I can't remember his name, but two guys that are great.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Yes. He's, um, ah, you know what? No, maybe that was a different interview. He's, the, the guys like Nigerian or African or something. Yeah. What is his name? But it's two guys. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:41 Yeah. But I was highly impressed. Boris, I mean, I'm like, Nicole, you did good. Uh-huh. Because like Boris over here dropping knowledge. And I don't really feel, nobody gets my attention like that, like about just things that are coming out of their mouth. You were intrigued by what he was saying. Yes.
Starting point is 00:44:00 And the intelligence of it. I mean, clearly he ain't bad to look at because he's a very nice looking maker. I'm going to have to check it out. Yeah. No, definitely check him out. Okay. So wait a minute. I'm going to give you the name of the podcast.
Starting point is 00:44:09 Okay. Why are you looking for it? Okay. Okay. So I saw this on threads. Mm-hmm. And this person said, these are the top five best pairings ever. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:20 So tell me if you agree. Uh-huh. Number one, bacon and eggs. This is all food related. Okay. Okay. Yes, but I add things to that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:29 Okay. Bacon, eggs, English muffin, butter, jelly. Boom. Boom. Okay. Okay. Burgers and fries. I'm going to just go through the five.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Bacon and eggs, burger and fries, beer and tacos, peanut butter and jelly, and wine and cheese. So for me, it made me think, like,
Starting point is 00:44:48 who are the people that are like coming up with these pairings? You know, how did you decide one day, oh, I'm going to make a sandwich and I'm going to put peanut butter
Starting point is 00:44:57 on one side and jelly on the other. Right. That's just called, you're broke. Right. That's just called, we don't have anything else
Starting point is 00:45:03 in the refrigerator. So for me, for you, what's your favorite pairing? Not out of these. It couldn't be out of these, but it could be something else. Huh. So when I was growing up, there was an ice cream store, I mean, ice cream like shot that me and my family would go to all the time.
Starting point is 00:45:21 And they had like Neapolitan Parfays. So do you know what that is? Was the ice cream? It was ice cream. Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry ice cream. Yes. With like chocolate sauce. So like that combination of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.
Starting point is 00:45:35 is the best pair with like a strawberry sauce and a chocolate sauce chocolate and strawberry is amazing I don't like chocolate and strawberry together I can't stand chocolate
Starting point is 00:45:48 and raspberry together oh no I'm not a raspberry girl yeah yeah chocolate and strawberries everything okay okay oh but you know what I'm into lately what peanut butter peanut butter and what
Starting point is 00:45:59 just peanut butter what okay so I got this Jenny's, you know, Jenny's ice cream. They have a peanut butter, something, something, caramel, something ice cream. And I don't really eat peanut butter ice cream. Yeah. Everything.
Starting point is 00:46:13 Me neither. Really? Yeah. So good. Okay. Okay. Well, my favorite pairing is chips and salsa. That's no.
Starting point is 00:46:21 That is not a pairing. It is. Burger and fries, beer and taco, wine and cheese, chips and salsa. That's a pairing. They go together. Oh, that's a pairing. Chips and salsa. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Okay. Chips and salsa. It's like the best pairing. Tortilla chips and salsa. What kind of salsa? Because there's different kinds these days. I mean, I like, so I actually like the, well, I mean, it depends. Like if I'm at a Mexican restaurant or, you know, Latino restaurant and they did live and they bring out chips and salsa, like, it's amazing.
Starting point is 00:46:55 But in the store, when I buy my store bought salsa, I actually love the Tostito's restaurant style. It's one of the purple lid. Okay. Because it tastes very similar to the ones that they serve. in the restaurants. Okay. Is the stuff chunky or smooth? It's, it's like, it's in between. Okay. You know what I'm saying? So it's not like super chunky and it has a little like water, liquidy kind of thinness to it. Yeah. But it still is like the tomato, you know, like the regular salsa base. And then the chips are like just regular. Whatever chips I can find. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Whatever tortilla chips I can find. Okay. All right. I don't understand the beer and tacos. Well, you're not a beer drinker. I don't know. I would more so say what, like, tacos and tequila? I think like crabs, like if you're sitting down eating crabs and some air thing. Crabbs and beer or like crabs and a Shirley Temple, that would be my favorite. Because you need like that sweetness. Okay. Like beer doesn't give you sweetness.
Starting point is 00:47:52 Okay, that's interesting. Yeah. I never tried that. Yes. I don't know. I think I, like ham and cheese, you know, or. Yeah, ham and cheese is, yeah, I don't really eat ham, but yes. That's not a thing of other ones, but mine is chips and sauce.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Oh, like fried chicken. Chicken and waffles? Yes. Fried chicken and walt. Oh, shrimp and grits. There you go. Shripping grits. Okay, shrimp and grits.
Starting point is 00:48:16 I do like that. That's a great combo. Shrimp and grits. Okay. All right. I need to think about this. Yeah. Yeah, but some of those on the list.
Starting point is 00:48:23 But when you think about it, it's like, who decided to put these things together? I don't know. They're geniuses. I always think about, like, who even created food? Like, who said one day, like, that we need to eat? That would be our gut. our belly. But I'm saying, how did they say like, oh, those little chickens walking around? Let's chop it up. Let's chop it up and eat it. Take the feathers off and eat it.
Starting point is 00:48:46 I think it's when Adam gave Eve the apple. Yeah. Yes. That's before our time. They'd be in trouble if I was, I was one of the first people. Wow. Because you wouldn't be eating? Because I'd be like, I don't know what to do. Yeah. Probably would be lost in the garden of Eden. She'd be walking around like, oh, we're supposed to to eat now? We're supposed to feed ourselves? No, I'm going to eat my hand. Okay, this has gone left. Okay. Anyway, I had something else to say about that. What was I talking about? You were looking up the name of the podcast.
Starting point is 00:49:23 Oh, I found it. I found it. Hold on, because, yeah, I do want y'all to know that because, you know, we got to give our brothers their props when it's due. Yes, please do. Hold on. Hold on. So it is called the one, what does it say? One, five, four Africa. That's the name in a podcast. Yeah. One five four Africa and, oh, yeah, Godfrey. Godfrey, who's the comedian. Okay. Okay. You know what I'm talking about. Yeah. So I saw the clipbook Godfrey talking to. Yeah, one five four. One five four. Okay. Yeah. So it's their podcast. Godfrey and what is the other man's name? I don't want to keep calling the other guy. I don't know the other guy's name.
Starting point is 00:50:12 Akbar. Akbar. Yeah, that's it. That's it. So is their podcast together? I think they have a podcast together or maybe I would assume so. They're not a guest. I think it's the two of them and then they interview people.
Starting point is 00:50:24 Okay. Yeah. But it made me feel like Boris, you need to, well, no, Boris, you don't need no podcast because there's enough podcasts out here. Everybody trying to give us competition. But I love an intellectual podcast with. with handsome black men. I mean, yes.
Starting point is 00:50:36 I feel like Boris could do, oh, because there's another guy. You know Sally Richardson? Yeah. We're all over the place. Sally Richardson, who is an executive producer on, she did like the Gilded Age.
Starting point is 00:50:48 She does a lot of things. Beautiful black woman. Her husband. DeAndre Whitfield. That's his name? Mm-hmm. No. What's his name?
Starting point is 00:50:58 Deandre Whitfield. Oh, okay. He's very intelligent. He, he, I've seen him talk. And he says some like, he's like dropping knowledge about how him and his wife have maintained their relationship for so long. Oh, nice. Okay.
Starting point is 00:51:12 About his family. I think their daughter is dating Brani. Yes. Okay. Are they still together? I don't know. Who knows? She goes to Spelman.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Okay. So yeah, I love hearing when a man is not all over the place. Right. He's just spitting his facts. And he does it in a way that's entertaining. Yes. Give me a little joke or two, but then like keep it going. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Yeah. By the way, I did see the, I'm just talking. I'm all over the plate. I did see the Cat Williams special. Oh, did you? Yes. Okay. Just because.
Starting point is 00:51:46 So it's a stand-up special? It's a stand-up special. Yeah. Just because I feel like. Is this on Netflix? What? Yes. It's Netflix.
Starting point is 00:51:52 So I feel like I saw a picture of him and it didn't look like him. So I was like, is this correct? Yeah. I don't know. Did he have on shorts? I don't know. His face just looked totally different. He looked totally different.
Starting point is 00:52:02 Carry on. Because, you know, I feel like we need to protect cat. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, because, you know, people out here to get him dropping tea. Bill it. We don't want him to be sacrificed. And he, it wasn't like super funny. I did enjoy it.
Starting point is 00:52:21 Yeah. I do feel like he, he's just highly intelligent. Okay. Yeah. And I can listen to him talk for like a long time. Yeah. So it wasn't that funny. No, it was funny.
Starting point is 00:52:33 It was funny. Okay. But it wasn't, because, you know, sometimes you compare him to like a Dave Chappelle. You know, it's so crazy. Okay, I know I keep talking, y'all. It's so crazy how they're pulling up all these old clips. Now that we have the Epstein files and it's like, ooh, this person said this. And, you know, Christy Teigen and all of her tweets that she put out there that she has had to take down $6,000 or $60,000.
Starting point is 00:52:55 There's a lot that she had to pull down. $60,000? What? Tweets? Yes. She was canceled for a minute. Do you remember that? I think still to this day.
Starting point is 00:53:04 I think she's inching her way back. Coming her way out. Yeah. People forget stuff. So I think she's kind of inching her way back. God bless her. But there was a clip of when Dave Chappelle
Starting point is 00:53:14 went on the Oprah Winfrey show to talk about, remember when Dave disappeared for a while? Yeah. And it was really just, you know, he didn't like how they were putting this pressure on him. Okay. In the industry about like, you know, doing things he didn't want to do.
Starting point is 00:53:28 Yeah. Wearing a dress, all kinds of stuff. wearing a dress yeah no I'm being serious in a movie like it kind of goes back to what cat william said cat's like you know you make it so far and then they want you to put on a dress so like for instance martin lawrence okay he had on a dress oh I get it so like a medea like a caricature yeah not like katlyn jenna okay okay yeah just like we we they want that they want, I guess to emasculate you in some degree.
