Starting point is 00:00:16 What is that? Bullets. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. We need help! As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. What you guys are doing right now, it's the hub culture. The Breakfast Club is my morning sit. I need it and I love it so much. I feel like you're really not popping until you do the Breakfast Club. I've been waiting to come to y'all's show, man. I know you gotta be a big time
Starting point is 00:02:01 celebrity to be up in here. You gotta be big time. DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. The Breakfast Club, man. I know you gotta be a big-time celebrity to be up in here. You gotta be big-time. DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. The Breakfast Club, bitches. Break the f*** out. Good morning, USA. Hey, what's up, fam? Good morning. Hey, Yee. You didn't up, fam? Good morning. Hey. You didn't think I was going to make it.
Starting point is 00:02:27 I knew you were going to make it. I just know you're going to be tired. I know. So let's talk about professionalism. Okay, let's talk about it. I'm here on time, even though my flight yesterday, I was in Chicago. We were all in Chicago. That's right. Now, I was supposed to go to Chicago the day before yesterday, but I was in the airport for a few hours.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Flight got canceled. So then I ended up leaving yesterday. Got to Chicago, landed, did what we had to do. We had a panel. Then on the way back, my flight was supposed to leave at 8. I think it was 8.40 or something like that. Right. My flight was supposed to leave at 6.45 p.m.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Oh, I thought you were on the 7.45. No, 6.45. And so my flight got delayed, delayed, delayed. And then I thought it was going to get canceled because a whole bunch of flights were getting canceled. Yep. And I kept checking and checking and I kept saying, canceled, canceled, canceled. The airport was a mess. But fortunately for me, my flight did take off.
Starting point is 00:03:16 It just did not end up taking off until about 1 in the morning. Yeah, my flight left at about 1130 p.m. I got here. I got to the station. I came straight to the station. I was like, I ain't going home. I got my flight left at about 11.30 p.m. I got here. I got to the station. I came straight to the station. I was like, I ain't going home. I got to the station at about 2. And that was it.
Starting point is 00:03:32 I slept and that was it. I just took a little bird bath. I got some baby wipes, wiped under my arms, put some deodorant on. You took a whole bath. Yeah, I wiped my little private areas. A little private? Okay, I want to hear more. Made sure my butt and my testicles were clean. So listen,
Starting point is 00:03:46 while y'all flights was delayed, I landed. Perfectly fine. I hit our boss, Thea, our program director, and I was like,
Starting point is 00:03:55 yo, you might want to book studios in Chicago because that doesn't look like we're going to make it. Charlamagne replies, I'm on my flight and I'm leaving right now. I'm on the plane.
Starting point is 00:04:02 You didn't get out of there on time. I just said I'm on the plane. That's it. Oh, you didn't get out of there on time. I just said I'm on the plane. That's it. Oh, you didn't get out of there on time? Yeah, I got out on time. Yeah, he was gone. So, that's what I'm saying. He got out of there on time. Yeah, he was good money. And what's interesting, though, I think it was a lot
Starting point is 00:04:15 of things because there were delays from the day before. So, a lot of the flights coming in were late. And for mine, they actually also had to swap out the air. It was all kind of issues. It was crazy. I mean, there was people sleeping in the airport when I landed in New York City. It was a long day for travel. People were stuck in the airport the whole day. So good luck to you guys.
Starting point is 00:04:32 I made it back. Wow. Anyway. No, I mean, I made it back. F you. I mean, hey, man, you got to count your blessings. You know what I'm saying? Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Absolutely. I feel sorry for you, but hey, thank God I made it back. Yes. And we were in Chicago. There was a morning show. I guess they call it like a morning show boot camp. It's called morning show boot camp.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Yeah, where they get some of the morning shows across the country, telling stories. Some of the great morning shows. Bounce ideas. 40 in the morning was there.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Dee Dee McGuire, her and Lady J was there. My man Head Crack was there. The morning mess. Yes. A lot of great morning shows was there. So a lot of morning shows were there.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Just bouncing ideas. So we got up there. We told our story. Yeah, you know, you talk about hard work and you talk about, you know, things that you do
Starting point is 00:05:12 to implement success. But you know, I like to stress to people, no matter how hard you work, you will never be us. And that's just... He definitely said that.
Starting point is 00:05:20 But that's just the truth to the matter. We got to stop telling people that. Like, we like to... Nobody said that. Yeah, who's ever said it would be us? Oh my God. I'm not talking about us literally.
Starting point is 00:05:28 I'm just talking about it in general. People say, oh, if you work hard, you can be the next such and such and next such and such. No, you'll be the first you. Okay, we worked hard and we were destined to be whatever it was. We were destined to be based off that hard work, so you must apply the same to yourself. Well, I've been trying to sing for like the longest and it hasn't
Starting point is 00:05:44 worked out for me, so I'm going to keep trying. No matter how hard you try, you'll never be Miguel. Let's hear something. Buy you a drink. Nope. Nope. Ooh. Even with the auto-tune, you sound trash.
Starting point is 00:05:57 That's T-Pain, that's not Miguel. Buy me a drink. I think you're trying to do How Many Drinks. No, I was doing T-Pain, because T-Pain's joining us this morning, so I was going to the T-Pain. The legendary. T-Pain will be here this morning, that's right. The whole legend, T-Pain. Okay doing T-Pain because T-Pain is joining us this morning. So I was going to say T-Pain. T-Pain will be here this morning. The whole legend, T-Pain. Okay, don't ever act like T-Pain, not a whole legend out here in these streets.
Starting point is 00:06:10 So we're going to kick it with T-Pain and also Dr. Sebi's family. His daughter, his son, and his grandson will be joining us. And we're going to kick it with them. You know Dr. Sebi, he's, do I have to say allegedly? No, I don't, hundreds of people of ailments, whether it's herpes, HIV, cancer. His family will be here. I met him before, and we'll talk to him about some of his healing.
Starting point is 00:06:36 And all with natural ingredients. Supplements. Yes. Absolutely. And, I mean, the reason I would never say allegedly with that is because that's those people's testimonial. That's not even just Dr. Sebi saying that. Well, he won the court case, too.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Yeah, but that's the people who actually were cured by him saying that, you know, he cured them. Absolutely. Why would I not take their word? If you used to have herpes and you don't got herpes no more because of Dr. Sebi, hey, got to take your word for it. Yeah, so he allegedly— Still wouldn't let you hit Rob, but you got to take your word for it. My goodness. All right. Well, let's get the show cracking.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Front page news, what we talking about? Well, let's talk about these immigration you got to take your word for it. My goodness. All right. Well, let's get the show cracking. Front page news. What are we talking about? Well, let's talk about these immigration raids that we told you about in Mississippi. And they have released some of those people. So we'll give you some details on what happened when ICE popped up and arrested over 600 people. All right. Now, if you didn't hear it, we were talking about it yesterday. We've been talking about it all week.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Woo-woo. Let's get it. Meg Thee Stallion featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. It's called Hot Girl Summer. Yes, girls, let's get it. And shout to our board, our Dramos. He's having a hot girl summer. He is so living his life. There are people in my DMs asking about Dramos.
Starting point is 00:07:36 It's amazing. You go, Dramos. Dramos is having a hot butt summer. It's a difference. Yeah, he is. Hot butt summer. Dope, dope. Hot butt summer.
Starting point is 00:07:44 All right, let's get to it. It's the Breakfast Local Morning. It's produced by Juicy J. Looks like we got a new favorite song, Hot Girl Summer. First of all, dropping the clothes bonds for the OG Juicy J. Absolutely. Over 40, 20 plus years in the game and still making hits. Okay, respect your elders.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Juicy J clearly plays forever. Yes. All right, but I must say, that record is banging. It's hot. I told you, the record's hot. What happens after summer? Is it going to be a seasonal record? Does it have a short self-life?
Starting point is 00:08:08 Only because it's only a month left for summer? What happens after summer? That record is banging. You can play that record anytime. You can play that record anytime. It'll probably still be playing next summer. So why y'all don't play summertime? Why we never used to play summertime during the fall and winter?
Starting point is 00:08:18 They did so when that song came out. They did? Yes, absolutely. I don't think either one of y'all remember that. No, I did. It lived a long time. Yeah, positive. And in some places, one of y'all remember that. No, I did. It lived a long time. Yeah, positive. And in some places, it's warm all year round, so it feels like summer.
Starting point is 00:08:29 We're not in all places. We're in America. In some places. In America, too. That is true, though. Yeah, what do you mean? I guess in Africa, it'll be, but we need it to pop here. In Africa, when it's winter here, it's summer in Africa.
Starting point is 00:08:39 In Miami, you could play this all summer in a thing. Miami. Miami. All year. Cali. A lot of places. Even in the South sometimes. It don't get that cold a lot of times in the South. It gets A lot of places. Even in the South sometimes. It don't get that cold a lot of times in the South.
Starting point is 00:08:48 It gets cold in the South. It'll be 60 degrees. I'll still be singing that. Salute to all the ladies awaiting instructions on what to do in the fall and the winter. They damn sure told y'all what to be this summer. All right. Well, let's get in some front page news. We got about two minutes here.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Well, since we feeling all this girl power today, let's talk about NBA 2K20. They are going to include WNBA players for the first time. All 12 WNBA teams will be ready to play, and that goes down on September 6th. Candice Parker from the Los Angeles Sparks said, Just like my counterparts in the NBA, I grew up playing NBA 2K. After getting myself scanned and integrated into NBA 2K20 earlier this summer, I was amazed at how 2K is able to replicate women's basketball at such a realistic level. You can tell they are taking their time
Starting point is 00:09:28 to capture the essence of the WNBA and have created an immersive experience that all fans of basketball will love. That is so dope. Dropping the clues bombs for the homie Asia Wilson. South Carolina zone. She plays for the Las Vegas Aces. Yes. She'll be in that game too. I'm happy for that.
Starting point is 00:09:44 It's about time. It's about time. It's about time. And I think they said that you could have a, like the girls can play the guys team. Absolutely. You can choose women players. That is dope. Now too. So I think that's amazing.
Starting point is 00:09:55 It's going to be great until you try to dunk. First time ever. It's going to be great until you try to dunk. And they can't dunk. Only if they're going to let them dunk on the game. Yes, they will. Some of them can dunk. Brittany Griner can dunk, but Brittany ain't in the league. Is Brittany playing right now?
Starting point is 00:10:03 No, she still plays. I think she'd be suspended all the time. Who else? Who else? Who else can dunk in the Griner can dunk, but Brittany ain't in the league. Is Brittany playing right now? No, she's still playing. I think she's being suspended all the time. Who else? Who else can dunk in the WNBA? I don't know. I don't know. I'm excited for that. Hot girl summer. That's it. We don't have time for that. That's front page news. Get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:10:17 800-585-1051. Maybe you've been stuck in the airport all day long and you just want to vent, or maybe you feel positive. It's Friday, damn it. Whatever it is, 800-585-1051 is the breakfast club. Good morning. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired?
Starting point is 00:10:32 Depressed? A little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy.
Starting point is 00:10:42 There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capriburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I trade my own country?
Starting point is 00:10:58 My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help. We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, guys.

As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself, and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
Starting point is 00:12:53 For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself.
Starting point is 00:13:16 You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Starting point is 00:13:48 Thank you, guys. Envy, I know you're like the DJ king, so I wanted to say, can I request a song? It has to be a throwback, because, you know, we do throwbacks this morning on Friday. It is. That's the crazy part. And it's your birthday?
Starting point is 00:14:01 What you want to hear? Who? Return of the Max. Return of the Max. I got a hear? Who? Return of the Max. Return of the Max. I got a homeboy who loves Return of the Max. Luther Kaz, real life Kaz on Twitter. He loves that song, Return of the Max. I do not know why.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Has he ever heard Return of the Strap by Sada Baby? Well, I was going to choose Candy, too, but I was just like, no, let me just do Return of the Max. Just like Candy. Those are classic records. How about I play both of them for you, okay? I'll play Candy and Return of the Max. You're the best. All right? Thank you, guys. Okay. Happy are classic records. How about I play both of them for you, okay? I'll play Candy and Return of the Bat. You're the best. All right?
Starting point is 00:14:26 Thank you, guys. Okay. Happy birthday, Salem. You said you've been supporting us from the beginning, and I'll get that on for your birthday. Not the beginning, but she's been around a while. She's been around a while. Not the beginning.
Starting point is 00:14:36 We've been here for a whole nine, okay? You guys are the best. You guys have a wonderful weekend. Thank you. Have a great birthday, all right? Bye. Diamond! What's going on, Andy?
Starting point is 00:14:46 Hey, you just got discharged from the hospital. What happened? You good? Well, two weeks ago, I had toe surgery. I had bunion removal, and I've been down and out for two weeks now. I couldn't walk or whatever, and I'm a teacher. I still been working summer school this week. Then last night, I'm trying to help my sister because she just had a baby last week as well.
Starting point is 00:15:07 It was crazy. She had a baby. And I'm trying to help her put together the playpen and bring the car seat to the car so he could go to his first doctor's appointment this morning. So I pulled the muscles doing that. And I took a pain pill from my surgery that the doctor prescribed me. And I took it without food, so I ended up getting nauseous. Yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Yeah, so now, from then, my stomach was hurting, my back was hurting, my chest started hurting and everything. Diamond, you know what that means? What's that mean? You're getting old. Sit your ass down. That's all. You're just getting old.
Starting point is 00:15:39 Sit your ass down. Your recovery time is a little slow because you're getting older. That's all. How old are you, Diamond? I'm only 26. Well, sit your young old ass down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:53 I'm going to sit my ass down. And I got surgery this Wednesday coming up for the other foot. I'm going to sit down. Oh, my goodness, Diamond. It ain't been a hot summer for me.
Starting point is 00:16:00 All right, Diamond. Well, I'm in the club this weekend since you out and about. You want to join me at the club just one last time before your surgery? Hell no. Not with this boot on my foot. That's right. Pull'm in the club this weekend since you're out and about. You want to join me at the club just one last time before your surgery? Hell no.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Not with this boot on my foot. That's right. Pull up in the handicapped parking space. Jump out. Or roll out. Either or. Nah, I ain't doing that. Nah.
Starting point is 00:16:15 All right, Diamond. Have a good one. Y'all have a good one. Don't envy me. Let me ask you a question. Yes, ma'am. How was the kids? I love the kids.
Starting point is 00:16:21 I love you, right? How are they? Kids is good. You know, the baby's birthday is this Sunday. Which baby? Brooklyn. She turned in three. Brookie turned in three. Little Brookie Chu. I ran into Gideon
Starting point is 00:16:33 and got a shake before her and Maddie. They're sweet. They're sweet people. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, Brookie's birthday is this Sunday, so we're going to be celebrating all week long with baby girl. Well, maybe you should invite me to the party. Your foot broke. You can't come. Damn.
Starting point is 00:16:47 All right, you're right. All right, mama. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, hit us up right now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Wake up, wake up.
Starting point is 00:17:03 Wake your ass. This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're mad or blessed, we want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Jay, what's up, Jay? Yo, what's up, DJ Envy? Get it off your chest, man. Man, listen, man, my mom my best friend, bro. And I took her out tonight.
Starting point is 00:17:22 She started bugging. Ended up in jail tonight, bro. Why? What'd she do? She need the security guard in the nuts. Spit in his face. He ended up spitting back in her face. Grabbed somebody by the neck.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Grabbed a chain. How old is your mom? Your mama did that? Bro, my mom, bro. Well, mama got to stay the weekend in jail until she learn how to act, god damn it. Goodness gracious. Where you from? Where you from?
Starting point is 00:17:45 I'm from Rochester, New York. How old is your mom? My mom is 39. I'm 22. Oh, she's 39, so she's still trying
Starting point is 00:17:51 to live out her last hot girl summer, okay, before she cashes in after 40. I was just going to say, I'm missing it. She was like,
Starting point is 00:17:57 what can we play next? Summer almost done right now. About a month. About a month left. What does your mom do for a living? Right now, my mom just honestly can help me take care of my son. Oh, okay. About a month left. What does your mom do for a living? Right now,
Starting point is 00:18:05 my mom just honestly helps me take care of my son. Oh, okay. You gonna let her sit for the weekend? If she get bailed today, you gonna get her out?
Starting point is 00:18:12 Listen, I'm trying to figure out how to bail her out right now, man. Damn. Well, I'm sorry for you, man. If I was looking for security, I'd definitely reach out
Starting point is 00:18:19 to your mom, bro. Yeah, I wouldn't. And please don't start no-go-funding me because after you tell this story, I ain't donating nothing. It sounds like your mama deserved to be right where she at.
Starting point is 00:18:26 She do. She definitely do not for nothing. I mean, you know, it's not right. Why didn't you stop her, man? When she need the first security guard,
Starting point is 00:18:33 why didn't you grab her? That sounds like all one motion. No, no. I grabbed her because she grabbed the guy by his neck. She grabbed his chain and the security guard came
Starting point is 00:18:41 and he tried to grab her and I'm like, yo, keep your hands off my mom. I got this. And she ended up like, he tried to grab her. And I'm like, yo, keep your hands off my mom. I got this. And she ended up like, just bow. Go ahead. Knee him right in the nut. And then she spit in his face.
Starting point is 00:18:51 And he spit back in her face, which is way wrong. Yeah, he should have slapped you, to be honest with you. Yeah, he definitely should have slapped you. Soon as she slapped that man in the face, he should have slapped you. Yeah, he should have beat your ass for that. He definitely should have. He definitely should have. But he didn't.
Starting point is 00:19:04 You want to know why? Because I'm about 6'5", and my mom's a little ass female, and guys feel entitled to put their hands on females, and that's wrong. You 6'5", and you couldn't grab your mama, man? No, I was grabbing my mom. That's why I'm saying I was grabbing my mom. She ended up using her legs.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Bro, my mom is crazy. I'm Puerto Rican, bro. I don't know what you know, but Puerto Rican ladies, they use anything. Yep. All right, bro. I'm sorry about that, man. Also, a television show that's about to be in its final season, and one of our faves has been up to a series regular.
Starting point is 00:20:50 All right, we'll get into that next. Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired? Depressed?
Starting point is 00:21:01 A little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
Starting point is 00:21:16 I am the Queen of Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't Iana tribe own country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory.
Starting point is 00:21:32 I was making a racket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her
Starting point is 00:23:14 dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves, for self-preservation and protection. It was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Ah man, morning everybody. It's DJ, MG, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We
Starting point is 00:24:02 are The Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk Mike Posner. This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee. Rumor has it. On The Breakfast Club. So listen up. Well, Mike Posner is in the hospital. He got bitten by a rattlesnake. He said on a video on Instagram, Crazy Day.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Yesterday, I had just crushed 16 miles and was going for eight more when I got bit by a baby rattlesnake. That venom is no joke. He's doing this walk across America, and it started in Asbury, New Jersey. He's going to end up in Venice Beach, California. Where did he get bit? What state? I know they had to airlift him.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Please don't say Jersey. No, no, that's where he started off, and so he already had been walking. It sounded like he was down south somewhere. Grew up seeing all kinds of rattlesnakes. Diamondback rattlesnakes, the big, diamondback rattlesnakes, the big, long, super 22 feet, no, longer than that,
Starting point is 00:24:56 three feet rattlesnakes. All we ever see up here is garden snakes, maybe. Yeah, them rattlesnakes will ruin your life. Listen, and I heard it's very expensive to get that anti-venom medicate, the vials that you have to get and all of that. Insurance will cover it?
Starting point is 00:25:07 I don't know. We used to kill the rattlesnakes, set them on fire. Oh, he was in Colorado, they said. Oh, yeah. He definitely get bit
Starting point is 00:25:14 by a rattlesnake in Colorado. All right, now, congratulations to Vivica A. Fox. She has now been up to a series regular for the final season of Empire. So congratulations to her.
Starting point is 00:25:25 She's been on that show every year that she's been on the show has grown and grown and she went through a lot. She plays Cookie's sister, right? Yeah, and her storyline focused on mental health and abuse and all of that. So that's a big part of what's going on in the show. So now she's going to be a series regular.
Starting point is 00:25:41 I haven't watched Empire in a long, long time. I'll watch the final season and act like I've been there the whole time. Yeah, you can always go back and catch up too, right? And that final season actually debuts on September 24th, just so y'all know. All right, would you be here for a Love Jones sequel? Well, it looks like it could happen. Lorenz Tate posted a picture with Nia Long. He said, chemistry's still strong.
Starting point is 00:26:02 Queen Nia Long, we might need to do a sequel. Thoughts? What y'all think? That's my wife's favorite movie, that and Color Purple. That's my wife's favorite movies. Yeah, why not? I think Love, Joan,
Starting point is 00:26:13 Love, Joan sequel would be a great date night. Especially if they put it out around like Valentine's Day weekend or something like that. What would you make the plot be? I have no idea. I don't even remember
Starting point is 00:26:21 what happened at the end. Did they get married or something? They didn't get married, right? I don't remember. It's been so long. I don't really love Joan. What the end. Did they get married or something? They didn't get married, right? I don't remember. It's been so long. I don't remember. But I do remember. I love that soundtrack to Love Jones.
Starting point is 00:26:30 That soundtrack was amazing. I still listen to that soundtrack today. What happened to Darius and Nina in that movie? I don't remember. That was so long ago. Well, we might have to refresh ourselves on Love Jones. All right. Now, Adrian Broner.
Starting point is 00:26:43 It looks like he's been having some more issues on social media. He posted, I'm retiring. Boxing is a lonely sport. I'm done with this ish. Give me a break and let me turn it into eight with some, what's P-H-Y-T? P-H what? P-H-Y-T. I don't want to say it wrong.
Starting point is 00:27:00 What did he say? Let me hear the context of it again. He said, boxing is a lonely sport. I'm done with this ish. Give me a break and let me turn it into eight with some P-H-Y-T. What did he say? Let me hear the context of it again. He said, boxing is a lonely sport. I'm done with this ish. Give me a break and let me turn it into eight with some P-H-Y-T. What is that? That's definitely drugs.
Starting point is 00:27:10 That's just some drug talk. I don't know what it is. Eight with some P-H-Y-T. I clearly don't know enough about drugs. Pinto? I don't freaking know. He said,
Starting point is 00:27:15 I finally can experience what it feels like to smoke weed, snort a line, shoot heroin, taste acid. I've been fiending to get that high.
Starting point is 00:27:21 Why would you want that high? Geesh. I don't know what's going on. Then he said, I need help from somebody, SMH. I am not focused at all on boxing. Right now, I feel like F-boxing and F-everybody. Come on, Adrian, bro. I'm gotten them.
Starting point is 00:27:34 But less than 24 hours later, he then posted, look, man, people have been hitting me up thinking I'm down and out, and that's just not the case. That's what it sounds like. I'm just a rich N-word from the gutter, and it's hard for me to move around all the BS that come with this life, and I bottle all my feelings up because ain't nobody real. When you get to the stage, everybody playing a role, so that's why I lash at sometimes, but I'm Gucci. P.S., I will not hang up the gloves.
Starting point is 00:27:55 My babies beg me not to because they tell me I'm the best. If I don't believe nobody, I got to believe in them. They all I got. Whenever you want somebody's attention, man, just pick up the phone and call them. Whoever attention Adrian Broner was trying to get, he ain't have to damn near, you know, act like he want to fake kill himself on social
Starting point is 00:28:09 media for that person to call him. That's what that was, a reach for attention. Well, maybe he's also got mental health issues, and that's something that everybody's been talking about recently. Yes. And so Big Boy actually was having this conversation on his show. He was talking to P from Quality Control.
Starting point is 00:28:26 And here's what he had to say. I'm going to tell you something. Shout out to Charlamagne. I've been seeing him do a lot of posting about black men going to get therapy. Mental health, bro. Yeah, mental health, man. Like, that's serious. And you know what it is, too, P?
Starting point is 00:28:42 We think at one point years ago, it was so taboo. And now we're really starting to see it, especially's serious. Yeah, and you know what it is, too, P? We think at one point years ago, it was so taboo. And now we're really starting to see it, especially with us. That's right. Invest in your mental wealth. We erasing all stigmas and changing all narratives, damn it. Also, P from Quality Control talked about actually trying to sign Meg the Stallion before the City Girls. Did you guys try to snatch up Megan the Stallion? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Yeah, but not like Megan the Stallion. It's crazy because I was on Instagram, and I just seen her rapping on the side of a car. It was like two, three years. And this was before we even signed City Girls. And I had sent her a DM, but she just never responded to it. At least he tried. At least it wasn't the other way around.
Starting point is 00:29:18 She might not have never seen the DM, too. That's what I'm saying. Usually it's the other way around. The artist is trying to get at the executive, and the executive never reaches back out. But at least he shot his shot and tried. Right. Well, shout out again to Make the Stallion
Starting point is 00:29:29 for that Hot Girl Summer song, as we said, produced by Juicy J, featuring Nicki Minaj, who hopped on that when she heard it. She knew she had to get on there. And Ty Dolla $ign, because we've been playing that. Tough tune. Yeah, we'll get into that in two minutes. That's my song.
Starting point is 00:29:42 I'm going to be listening to that all day. I think I got the Darius and Nina Love Jones sequel, too. I don't remember what happened at the end of Love Jones, but let's just say over the past 30-something years, Darius and Nina are still together, and the new Love Jones is just about showing how older couples can still maintain that flame throughout the course of 30-plus years. I think that would be sexy.
Starting point is 00:30:05 I just remember there was some heartbreak, some kissing in the rain. I can't remember how that movie ended. I'm going to watch it again this weekend. I'm going to watch it again this weekend. Classic movie. Right. Okay. Well, who knows?
Starting point is 00:30:15 Maybe there'll be a nice little sequel. I'm Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report. All right. Thank you, Miss Yee. We just talked about it, so we're going to get that on. Megan Thee Stallion featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. We're going to play it every hour, on the hour, on every iHeartRadio urban station throughout the country today. That's our gift to you, hot girls.
Starting point is 00:30:32 So we're going to get that on in a second. But before we do, we got front page news coming up. Yes, we are going to talk about ICE. We didn't get to talk about this earlier, but those ICE raids that went down in Mississippi, and they actually ended up detaining almost 700 people. Well, we'll tell you what the update is on some of those human beings who were detained. All right, we'll get into that next,
Starting point is 00:30:51 but right now let's get into Megan Thee Stallion, Hot Girl Summer. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Juicy J still making hits. That's right. 40-plus years old, 20-plus years in the game, still making hits, damn it.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Drop on the Clues Bonds for Juicy J. Yeah, thanks, Thee Stallion. Everybody sound dope on that song. That was Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj tie dollar sign. Now let's get into some front page news. That should be a number one song. I think it will be. Let's get it there before the summer is over.
Starting point is 00:31:14 And salute to all the hot girls whose deodorant has been giving out on them all summer. It's August. Just try something with a higher pH balance for the rest of the summer. Where we starting, Yee? Let's talk about an 11-year-old girl. This video really broke my heart. Now, we were telling you about ICE and how they actually had detained almost 700 people,
Starting point is 00:31:32 and now they have let about 300 of those people go. This was in Mississippi. And they said about 300 of the 680 people detained in that ICE raid were released the same day, some of them on humanitarian grounds, according to a press release. They said they also asked everybody if they had children at home, and then they determined if some of those people were able to be released because if it was two parents, they would release one parent,
Starting point is 00:31:58 and if it was a single parent, then they would get processed and then be able to go home. But a lot of people were heartbroken when they saw this young girl who actually was on video talking about trying to find her dad. I know my dad. No, the Hispanic people are not doing nothing bad. They're not stealing nothing. I can't do nothing but please open the door for the parents.
Starting point is 00:32:23 I'm stuck over there in jail. I'm not going to have nothing. It's the first day of school for me. I don't know what I'm going to eat. My dad didn't do nothing. He's not a criminal. So sad. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:32:38 I started crying when I was watching that. That video made me want violence. I had a lot of strange thoughts after watching that. That video made me want violence. I had a lot of strange thoughts after watching that video and that video triggered me because whenever I see children like that, I envision my own children
Starting point is 00:32:51 and it just makes me want to commit violence. Remember when Iron Man went back to that camp where kids and families were being held? I think it was in the first Iron Man and he just washed the whole camp.
Starting point is 00:33:01 We all don't watch Marvel movies, but he just washed the whole camp and set all the kids free. That's what I felt like. Oh, my God. So sad. Very sad. According to ICE, they're trying to say that they did actually make sure that nobody was out without their parents for the night.
Starting point is 00:33:16 I can't tell. I don't know what happened. We don't know if this young woman was reunited with her dad or her parents or anything. Okay. But according to ICE, they said that they are going to have persons released and that ICE makes custody determination on a case-by-case basis based on the totality of their circumstances. Some of the people that they detained, one of them was a 14-year-old. There were 18 juveniles among the people that were detained and then released. Wow.
Starting point is 00:33:44 All right. Now, an armed man who was in his 20s was arrested yesterday afternoon. They said he caused a panic at a Missouri Walmart. I don't know if you guys saw this story, how he showed up to the Walmart. So officers responded to a call of an active shooter at that Walmart, but no shots were fired. The man actually went to the Walmart, and he put on a whole bunch of body armor, military fatigues. He had tactical weapons on him.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Then he walked into the Walmart, grabbed a cart and started pushing it around the store and was recording himself walking through the store with his cell phone. Why? So people started running. People were hiding. People were nervous. The store manager pulled the fire alarm. People were urged to escape the store. They said that he's lucky to even be alive right now for him to do something like that.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Especially in light of all the mass shootings that have been happening as of late. Why would he do that? What was the point? I mean, because he's one of them people that like to play all day and now is not the time to play. Are you not understanding the climate of the culture we're in? And, you know, that could have been a situation where a random civilian could have took you out because the random civilian not taking no chances. That's right. Everybody's, you know, on edge right now, bro, bro. And are you allowed to carry your handguns in Walmart? Because I know a lot of those stores, it says it might be.
Starting point is 00:34:53 But even so, you know, it says sometimes they have signs that say not permitted to carry a firearm in the store. Well, he was detained by an armed off duty fireman until the officers got there. He was in Missouri. See, see. Yeah. So fireman until the officers got there. He was in Missouri. See? See? Yeah, so not sure what the rules are there, but all right. And in Houston, a gunman is on the run. He killed two people on a Houston freeway as motorists were watching during evening rush hours. So this happened yesterday.
Starting point is 00:35:17 It started as a crash between two cars that were on Interstate 10. One of the vehicles struck the other vehicle. It spun out, And that's when two occupants from the vehicle that hit the other one came out. One had a weapon and he started firing at the car that they just hit. And then they started pursuing it as it rolled down the hill.
Starting point is 00:35:35 So I don't know what was going on. We don't know if it was an accident or not or something that was planned. They can't even speculate right now. They said it was a very unreal scene right in the middle of the freeway during rush hour. It was at 5.55 p.m. Wow. That they actually called the police yesterday.
Starting point is 00:35:50 And they're still investigating. All right. Well, that is front page news. Now, when we come back, T-Pain will be joining us. We'll kick it with T-Pain. A whole legend named T-Pain. God damn it. Y'all going to show T-Pain some respect, okay?
Starting point is 00:36:02 All right. We'll kick it with T-Pain when we come back. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. N.V. Angela Yee, Charain when we come back. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. N.V., Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building. The legendary T-Pain.
Starting point is 00:36:11 You got to start calling you legendary, too. Wow. You don't think so? I don't know, man. I looked up the definition of that, and it just meant something that could be true or not. You don't believe in yourself? I believe in myself, but, you know, the Loch Ness Monster is also a legend. So you got to see it.
Starting point is 00:36:28 That might be infamous. I believe in the Loch Ness Monster, so I don't know. I definitely believe in the Loch Ness Monster. So that makes sense. All right, cool. I'll take it down. I'll take it down. I don't know if the Loch Ness Monster exists now, but it has existed at some point in time.
Starting point is 00:36:42 At some point. At some point. That makes sense. Okay. Well, there we go then. Well, the poppin' ass T-Pain. That's not a poppin'. Oh, I ain't poppin' my ass.
Starting point is 00:36:53 We got a figure these times. No, not poppin' ass. It's spinning out of control. We're going off the hill. Right at the beginning of the interview. Alright. Maybe those two words didn't go right together. Not a lot. Not a lot. But I did see you when you were hosting the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Yeah, yeah. So that was dope.
Starting point is 00:37:08 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It was actually pretty cool because I had done it, you know, I had done it a few times. I hosted the BET Hip Hop Awards once and, you know, a couple other things and some stuff in Africa. So I guess I had had practice enough to be in front of that many white people. Well, the Masked Singer probably bought
Starting point is 00:37:25 that opportunity on, too. Oh, yeah, for sure. No question. The Masked Singer did a lot for it, man, and, you know, it kind of gave me like a second wind, so it helped out exponentially. I just think that you being kind of modest, and I'm going to tell you why. We live in this era where people and it's always been like this. People have
Starting point is 00:37:41 to say things in order for people to see it and be like, you know what? He's right. T-Pain, you birthed a whole new wave out here. You got a lot of kids out here. It's okay to say that. I get that. It's just taking a lot of time to try to explain to people because they already have their preconceived notions of what I should be doing, how I should be saying and blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:38:01 But I've wasted enough time trying to get people to see my truth. And you know what I'm saying? And the relief of stress that I've had not trying to prove anything to people, oh, my God, it's so great. What is the truth for T-Pain? The truth for T-Pain is I'm happy. I'm happy. I'm fine with what I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Like, you know, the people that take their time to go on my page and go to a post to where I'm doing something great just to tell me I fell off, it's like, you took time out of your day for this? Like, that used to, like, determine how my day went. You know what I'm saying? Like, I gave that so much power, and now I can look back and see and look back at myself and, like, who are these people? I've never met these people.
Starting point is 00:38:43 I've never seen these people. They have no idea what my life and like, who are these people? I've never met these people. I've never seen these people. They have no idea what my life is like. And they just see me not doing what their favorite artist is doing and decide that I shouldn't be on the internet. I shouldn't be posting anything. I shouldn't, like, who are these people to determine my day? Who are these people to determine my mood? They wasn't there with me shooting in the gym.
Starting point is 00:39:02 They wasn't there when I came up crazy. They wasn't there when I was doing, you know, all my biggest stuff. So now that, you know what I'm saying, things aren't 2008 anymore, I'm not going to let them determine what happens to me during my day. I got, you know, my kids do that. My wife does that. You know what I'm saying? I'm not going to let some complete stranger piss me off for the rest of the day
Starting point is 00:39:22 and start screaming at my kids because I'm mad at Instagram. Oh, absolutely not. You know what I'm saying? And at the same time, I'm sure you have a whole new fan base after winning the Masked Singer. For sure. For sure. Lots and lots of old people.
Starting point is 00:39:36 It's a lot. It's a lot, man. But no, a lot of people that, like, you know, did no research on me and hadn't seen that I've been doing anything at all. Like. I got a lot of new people. A lot of TSA agents too. We have to redefine this. We have to redefine the term fall off in hip hop culture
Starting point is 00:39:54 because I feel like that's something black people only do. Yeah, and they only do it to black people. Only do it to black people. It's a whole thing. It's like the same thing that we do to black people with the Illumin whole thing. I mean, it's like the same thing that we do to black people with the Illuminati. We only say Lord have mercy. You can't be successful
Starting point is 00:40:10 unless you're an Illuminati. Which means you gotta be gay if you're black. Yeah, and you have to kill somebody. But there's like full-on death metal bands that openly worship the devil. You know what I'm saying? That's all they talk about is hell, Satan, and all this. But no, they're fine.
Starting point is 00:40:25 That's just what people are into. They're rich because they're rich. But we're rich because we sold our soul. But that's people who have never achieved any level of success, so they've got to make excuses for their own failures. Which is why you can't let them people determine how your day goes. How long have you been in the game since what? Since 2005.
Starting point is 00:40:42 So what's that, 14 years? 14 years. 14 years. And you still have a long career. You got to look at people's whole totality of things that they've done. And you ever seen that interview Jay-Z did where he talked about people being in that white hot space once? He said you're only going to play for forever? For sure.
Starting point is 00:40:57 Absolutely. And that's how things work when you see the patterns. When you learn the patterns and you learn how things have gone and you know where your success is going and you can plan for the future and you can do these things, but people that haven't been through that spectrum and people that haven't been through those situations, they don't know where things are going. You can already see the future if you've seen the patterns
Starting point is 00:41:16 before. So it's about who notices that, who executes it accordingly, and you know, when you get out of that space, you either try it you get out of that space, you either try it again or bow out gracefully. You know, and you can make that choice. But the thing is, a lot of people let strangers and fans
Starting point is 00:41:35 make that choice for them. And that's just not fair. That's not cool just because you don't want to get off your ass and you're trying to bring me down to that area where you are in that miserable state that you're in, that shouldn't determine how my day goes. Are there people who counted you out before who are now back around
Starting point is 00:41:52 like, hey, T-Pain, I want to really work with you? Oh, everybody? Do you owe grudges about things like that or do you address it? Not anymore. Because I realized it was partly my fault. You know what I'm saying? It was me not showing what I could do, you know, because it was a normal thing to me. So I felt like, you know, those aspects of my life didn't need to be public because I knew I could do it.
Starting point is 00:42:14 So it's no big deal. But, you know, when people told me that, you know, my beats was trash and then I started selling beats, I'm like, OK, well, they're wrong. And then people told me, you know what I'm saying, that my style was trash and I couldn't rap, couldn't sing, couldn't do all that. And I was like, I'm fine now. This is good. I didn't think I had to prove it.
Starting point is 00:42:34 So, you know, I would always throw out the whole thing. Oh, Chris Brown is using auto-tune. How come ain't nobody talking to me? And it's because Chris Brown came out singing first. So he had his proof already. So when he used something, it's like, oh, he's just doing it for fun. But I'm like, but he sounds the same when he sings an auto-tune as when he does his normal voice.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Why would I not sound the same? And every time I walked into a room and opened my mouth, everybody would be like, damn, you sound just like you do in your music. And I'm like, who changes their voice for their music? It's weird. You didn't at first, no? Back in the day? Yeah, I did.
Starting point is 00:43:08 No. I did. When I made you sing live on Hot 1039, you didn't sing? No, top of my speaking voice. Oh, speaking. Okay, got you, got you, got you, got you. Yeah, I was not great when I came on your show. I was smoking cigarettes.
Starting point is 00:43:19 It was a lot. But that was early. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it was. I actually needed an auto-tune back then. That was really bad. All right, we got more with T-Pain when we come back. Matter of fact, let's get into a T-Pain mini-mix.
Starting point is 00:43:31 Let's go. That was a T-Pain mini-mix. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with T-Pain. Did you ever give up? Like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:43:41 This is too much. I ain't doing this no more. Oh, a hundred times. And what did you do during that time? I texted it to my wife, and she was like, no, you're not. We got bills. We got bills, but, you know, she was from, she was looking
Starting point is 00:43:55 at it from the outside, so, you know what I'm saying? It was like, she was the one that kind of got me on the path to knowing that I determined my life, and I determined my day. I determined who I am, you know, because know because she's been getting her whole life you know being a military brat you know I'm saying and just you know moving to different places different high schools every year and you know uh and and being with me you know she always got people on her she's you know been traveling with me you know this is like the first time she hasn't been with me
Starting point is 00:44:25 in about a year and you know she's been with me on the road just chilling and like somebody just DM'd her and said
Starting point is 00:44:33 I had your husband's s*** in my mouth the other night damn she was like Darren the one time I leave and don't come with you
Starting point is 00:44:38 no this was when she was on the road yeah like so you know what I'm saying there's people texting my friend just had sex with T-Pain,
Starting point is 00:44:45 and we sitting in the bed watching Game of Thrones, like, what? What just happened? Could be an imposter out there pretending to be you. I hope so. It could be literally any dark-skinned person with trans, because these motherfuckers do not know the difference between black faces.
Starting point is 00:44:59 Does she like the new single, Girlfriend? She loves it. She loves it. Yeah, nah, that's always been a, you know, a thing she let me do. She let me have freedom in my music. You know what I'm saying? I want to know about freedom in the relationship. You talk about the music. You said all three of us in that. Oh, you know, I mean,
Starting point is 00:45:14 you need, you need. No, we don't know. I don't know. You said, yeah. Oh, you gotta, come on. I haven't gotten to that level yet. How long you and your wife been together? 16 years. Oh, I've been with mine 22, but we... Yeah, you, yeah, man. I've been with mine 22. Yeah, you did, man. I've been with mine 25. Yeah, I ain't got to that little bit.
Starting point is 00:45:27 What is it, a competition, guys? Yeah, I didn't know. I didn't know I was coming into a marriage competition. But no, I mean, it's a thing that, you know, we both agreed on. And a lot of people get it confused for like an open marriage. And we just have threesomes sometimes. That wasn't like a... How long?
Starting point is 00:45:45 How long has this been going on? Probably since 2009? What's the rules and regulations though now? You pick them? Can you bring them home? Everything's her choice. Everything's her choice. As it should be.
Starting point is 00:45:58 Yeah, I'm not going to be because if it's me, I'm just going to pick anything and it's not going to be great. But I let her choose everything. Everything's her choice. What if it's something you don't want? We don't do it.
Starting point is 00:46:11 He can still be, though. It's still a democracy. We both can't force our opinions on anything. You don't force them. You back them. Yeah, no, no, no. And it's not like an all-the-time thing. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:46:21 And it's just a story. Break this down for me. I need to know how this happens. How do you and your wife connect? Is it birthdays? Anniversaries? No, it's really sporadic. We're never playing it. It's not like something we just do. It's just
Starting point is 00:46:34 like we're probably in the club super f***ed up. One of us see a girl and say, oh, she's cute. We make decisions off of that. It's not like a... Can it be somebody that's already a friend or does it have to be people y'all don't know?
Starting point is 00:46:47 That's a better, we try to get to know, you know what I'm saying, more people than not just, you know, we don't try to just walk up to strangers. Why?
Starting point is 00:46:55 Why? What? Why you gotta get to know? You ain't not knocking off somebody crazy. Yeah. Is this somebody crazy? Obviously,
Starting point is 00:47:03 they don't want to get robbed. Y'all go, I know you ain't going nowhere with some random girl. With the wife. You'd bring her back to your place or your hotel, I would think. I mean, it's usually at home. So we're trying not to mix. And we got, you know, a floor separating the rest of the house. So we, you know, we try to, it's a lot of rules and regulations.
Starting point is 00:47:23 It's a lot of things that we, you know, prepare for. It's a lot of things that we just take precautions. What was the first conversation like? Like, how was the first time ever? Like, hey, babe, she's cute. Yeah, she was like, what was the first conversation? Y'all really trying to set it up. Yeah, it was crazy.
Starting point is 00:47:38 How did this happen? She set it up the first time. Really? Yeah, it was her birthday. It was in Costa Rica. And she said, I like her. And I was like, yeah, she's, you know, she's cool Yeah, it was her birthday. It was in Costa Rica, and she said, I like her. And I was like, yeah, she's, you know, she's cool. It was a strip club.
Starting point is 00:47:48 It was weird. But, yeah, she was just like, I like her. And it surprised the hell out of me. I was like, you want to dance? And then, yeah, things led from the dance to things. Talk to me about ego in that moment. Did you feel a way when she said that? Yeah, a little bit. I mean, you know, because it's like, how would your girl feel if you, you know when she said that? Yeah, a little bit.
Starting point is 00:48:05 I mean, you know, because it's like, how would your girl feel if you, you know what I'm saying? Not like her. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? You know, I'm there for her, but it was a shot to the gut at first until it was like, wait a minute. I'm involved. Yeah. Me too. And it was a girl that looked just like her.
Starting point is 00:48:24 It was amazing. It was awesome. Are you ever left out of the equation? Have you ever been there and been like, guys, what about me? No, no, no, no. No, no. She doesn't let that happen. I won't let that happen to her.
Starting point is 00:48:33 So, you know, we always take care of each other. I make sure, you know. We understand. I make sure everything. I make sure she's taken care of first. You know what I'm saying? It's always still us. Have you ever found yourself in an unofficial p***y competition?
Starting point is 00:48:49 To see who can do it better? With the chick, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, with the other chick, yeah. It's definitely been one of those things. You lose though all the time, don't you? No, I'm pretty, I'm really good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:59 When's the last time this has happened, DJ? It's been a long time. It's been a very long time. It's been a very long time. It's been a very long time. We don't do that. We don't do it super often because, you know, I've been on the road
Starting point is 00:49:10 a lot lately, so we're not, we don't try to get randoms. You know what I'm saying? It's, like I said, it's better if we know the person, we know their history,
Starting point is 00:49:17 we know they ain't on no f***ing s***, they ain't trying to rob us. You know what I'm saying? We can be around them for more than an hour. It's like, you know, it's got to be,
Starting point is 00:49:23 you got to meet a criteria. You got to sign this application. Now, does that help you? like, you know, you got to meet a criteria. You got to sign this application. Now, did that help you? Because, you know, we all know black men don't cheat. So, does that keep you from ever straying? Absolutely. Absolutely. Because, one, I feel like if I do, I'm going to f*** up that opportunity.
Starting point is 00:49:37 So, you know what I'm saying? If I f*** up on the road or anything like that, then the threesomes at home are going to stop. Yeah. So, I don't want to mess that up. And it has definitely definitely scared me away from the devil thoughts out there. Would you be upset if she was with the woman
Starting point is 00:49:50 and you weren't around or involved? Like, she's like, oh, you're on the road. Yes. Yeah, that's cheating. Okay. Even if she asked you first.
Starting point is 00:49:56 You're right. That's, that's, that's... Answering for all of them. I'm asking T-Pain. Yeah, no, see, I mean, that's not, you know, that's part of the rules. Okay. You know what I'm saying? We can't do that by ourselves. Like, if mean, that's not, you know, that's part of the rules. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:50:05 We can't do that by ourselves. Like, even if we have a threesome with somebody and I ask her, can I just do that by myself at some point if you're not there or we're in the same city or something like that? No, it's not going to happen. That's cheating. You know, we've had our ups and downs about it, and that's how you learn the rules.
Starting point is 00:50:21 That's how you learn what, you know, what bothers each other, what each other are comfortable with, things like that. What about a woman catching feelings for your wife? I can't control that. I can't control that. Neither one of us can control what the other chick does, but we can always control ourselves and
Starting point is 00:50:38 end it and agree to like, alright, that's getting crazy. What about the wife catching feelings for another woman? She gotta figure that out. If that's against the rules for me, that's getting crazy. What about the wife catching feelings for another woman? She gotta figure that out. Because, you know, if that's against the rules for me, that's against the rules for her. I think now's a good time to play Girlfriends. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:51 Let's do it right now. Girlfriend featuring G.E. Introduce the record. Introduce the record. Absolutely. It's a brand new single, Girlfriends, featuring G.E. G.E.'s are produced by A1 and my homeboy Pip. Look, man, you gotta sign that application.
Starting point is 00:51:04 The applications are coming out very soon. The rules do apply. There's terms and conditions. Don't read that. Just hit agree and move on. Oh, my goodness. All right. It's the Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:51:14 Good morning. That was Girlfriend featuring G-Eazy. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are the Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with T-Pain. Now, you said you were broke. How broke were you?
Starting point is 00:51:25 Did you almost lose your crib, lose your cars, foreclosure? And how did you get back? I almost lost the crib. That bad? I don't think I would have lost it, but my accountant was panicking. Like, dude, just sell your house. And I'm like, I'm going to save my house. All that money you was making, why wouldn't you just buy it back then?
Starting point is 00:51:42 It was one of them things to where, you know, my advisors was like, how about you just slam a down payment on this, and then you can save the rest of the money instead of spending $6 million all at once. You want a $6 million crib in Atlanta? Yeah, it's not small. That's about 100,000 square feet. That's about 100,000 square feet.
Starting point is 00:52:03 Oh, my God. Yeah, that's when the market was down. So, you know. But, no, I mean, you learn a lot, man, by going through all the motions. I saw an interview you did with my man Rob Markman. You told Rob Markman you didn't get paid for no features for two years? Yeah, yeah. I needed to build up that credit.
Starting point is 00:52:22 You know, it was about building up. You know, I was, one, building up friendships in the game because I didn't really know anybody when that was happening. And, you know, to work with these people that I called legends, you know. You were paying your dues and just trying to do it. Yeah, this felt good. You said it was 08 to 2010. Dirty Pain was, like, at the height of things at that point.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Yeah, and that's when other artists that I really respect just started paying attention to me. So I was like, man, yeah, why not? Come on in. Can I get a verse when it's my turn? And everybody was like, yeah. And then... When it was your turn?
Starting point is 00:52:53 Oh, boy. Yeah, sure, sure. You know, for the most part, man, it was like, you know, I put a lot of people on and made a lot of people's careers super hot and I can't get a verse. What about Kanye? Did Kanye ever return the favors of good life?
Starting point is 00:53:07 Kanye returned the favors of good life the same day. So you never got royalties on these records from 08 to 2010? Yeah, yeah. I got production credits and stuff like that if I helped out. I always got royalties, but they never had to pay a fee until Ludacris. Ludacris almost had to pay. What do you mean? Why?
Starting point is 00:53:24 Because I did one more drink for him. One more drink, yeah. Then he did Chopping the Screw for me right after that. But with the one more drink, then he charged me $250,000. Whoa. So I was like, okay, I'll charge you $250,000. Now we're even. Oh, you got an invoice later.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Yeah. Wow. So it wasn't personal. No, no, yeah. That's what I'm saying. Just from the Ludacris piece. I mean, it was Ludacris. Ludacris was that. $250,000? I hit Luda like, yo, yeah. That's what I'm saying. Just from the ludicrous piece. I mean, it was ludicrous. Ludicrous.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Yeah, what you doing with that? 50 grand? I hit Luda like, yo, can you check this out for me? You said this is ludicrous. God damn it. Get the hell out of here. No, he didn't know about it. So you know what I'm saying? I knew Luda didn't.
Starting point is 00:54:02 That wasn't his MO at all at the time. So, you know, when he hit the label, Luda didn't, he wasn't, that wasn't his M.O. at all at the time. So, you know, when he hit the label, he let them know and they didn't care. And they was like, no, you're ludicrous. We're charging them $250. I'm like, cool, sweet. I'm charging you $250 for one more drink then. So that big ass chain. I got it back.
Starting point is 00:54:20 I got it back. I thought you said you melted it down. I did. We did another one. Oh, wow. He says I'm overjoyed. Yeah, I did another one though. Much cheaper this time. It thought you said you melted it down. I did. We did another one. Oh, wow. He says I'm overjoyed. Yeah, I did another one, though. Much cheaper this time. It's fake? Most of it.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Got you, got you, got you. I really needed to frame it. I'm putting it in a shadow box. Okay. So, it's nuts. When it comes to like... $400,000. When it comes to... Hold on one second.
Starting point is 00:54:40 Was that your biggest expense that you ever bought? The biggest thing that you spent besides the house? That was just two left? Nah, Bugatti. I'll pay for that straight up. You still got it? Oh, hell no. You got rid of that like a week later.
Starting point is 00:54:53 How much was that Bugatti? 1.2. And you spent $1.2 million. Yeah. And got rid of it a week later. Not a week later. I had it for about five months. And why'd you get rid of it?
Starting point is 00:55:04 They said you needed breaks or something. I broke it. I had about five months. And why'd you get rid of it? They said you needed brakes or something? I broke it. I put a hole in the radiator. You put a hole in one of the four radiators, they have to replace all the radiators. Lord have mercy. And that's 90 grand. And I didn't want to do that. So you just decided to let it go?
Starting point is 00:55:18 Yeah. Because at that point, that's when I was running out of money. Who did you sell that Bugatti to? Back to the dealership I got it from. How much did you get for it? How much did they get for it? I think they gave me $800 for it. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Oh, my God. Yeah. When you say you was broke, was you at like $0 broke? I had to borrow money to get my Kaz Burger King. Wow. Yeah. After having, what's the most you ever had in the bank at one time? $40 million.
Starting point is 00:55:41 Jesus Christ, T-Pain. How do you have a headline? Oh, my God. $40 million to Jesus Christ, T-Pain. How do you have a headline? Oh, my God. $40 million to zero? Yeah. And it was all bad spending? No bad investments? It was a lot of bad investments.
Starting point is 00:55:54 A lot of things. What did you invest in that didn't work for $40 million? What were you investing in? Real estate. Real estate? Yeah. You buy retail? No, but I was letting my manager do it,
Starting point is 00:56:05 and he was way more optimistic than I was. So what do you mean optimistic? He would just buy complete dumps and think that we can just paint, and then we should be fine. He didn't know what he was doing. Never sold anything that we bought. Even now, like none of those areas y'all bought in became electrified? We had to let them go.
Starting point is 00:56:22 We had to let them go. I mean, we just had to let everything go so you know is there anything of you to hold on to would be worth a lot now no not at all these were terrible neighborhoods but i didn't know where in florida yeah it was all in florida south florida because that's where my managers lived so it was like no i'll just get some down the road i can check on it every now and then and just like yeah crack house for sure never worked out still a crack house to this day. Still a crack house right now. People are f***ing in there
Starting point is 00:56:46 right now, I guarantee it. It's weird. And at that time, I didn't know my family at all. Like I had, my wife didn't even live with me at that time. She lived in Tallahassee,
Starting point is 00:56:56 I lived in Atlanta and I told her, I just had to, I gotta be in Atlanta because I gotta do music stuff. Ain't no music stuff in Tallahassee, so you can stay here.
Starting point is 00:57:03 I'll get me a house in Atlanta. I'll come and see y'all. My kids didn't know who I was. They called me other daddy when I was on TV. They knew TV me more than they knew in the house me. Oh, got you, got you. So when you in the house just cooling out, that's daddy. You got the top hat on.
Starting point is 00:57:20 Other daddy. Got you, got you, got you. So it was a lot of that. That could end a relationship for some people. For sure. Absolutely. And we held on, man. And, you know So it was a lot of that. That could end a relationship for some people. For sure. Absolutely. And we held on, man. And, you know, that's a thing that I really commend my wife for,
Starting point is 00:57:29 for just holding on for me. You know, and we're happier than ever. But why not move your family? Why didn't you move your family from Tallahassee to Atlanta? I just didn't want to. You was home. You was drinking. No, I wasn't.
Starting point is 00:57:41 I was never there. I was never at the house. You know what I'm saying? I was always on the road. I just felt like if I had them there, I wouldn't be able was never there. I was never at the house. You know what I'm saying? I was always on the road. I just felt like if I had them there, I wouldn't be able to do the music. I wouldn't be able to go out and go to different studios because I'd have to either bring my kids or have my wife ride with me so she don't think I'm doing nothing. I had to always be on and I always had to be T-Pain from TV to everybody that I went to go see. So I couldn't do all that and, you know, get blackout drunk every night just to impress these in the studio so they can get a free hook out of me.
Starting point is 00:58:11 You know what I'm saying? It was just that. And I was paying attention to that so much. And I value my family so much more than that now. And I think I'm in that point in my life to where it's just I got the awards. I got six Grammys at the house. It's fine. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:58:26 I got all these best artists of the year, best writers of the year. I proved my point. And now it's just like riding my wave still, riding the wave that I created and still benefiting from it while not chasing it. Yeah, I don't think it's a wave. I think waves come and go. I think that you've built a legacy at this point.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Yeah. No, it's definitely multiple waves. I'm paddling out getting back on the next one. Question. How low do you have to go as far as depression to get out of that and just be the happy person you are now?
Starting point is 00:58:57 I didn't get super depressed and that's the only way I knew I wasn't depressed because I actually met some depressed people and I was like, oh, I'm fine. I'm just having a bad day. I'm just sad. Like, you know what I'm saying? I was literally at that point of depression to where you can be like, bro, just be happy.
Starting point is 00:59:14 Like, that's that point. But like when you're clinically depressed and stuff like that, there's nothing you can do and you've been diagnosed. Like, I've met some people like that, and there's nothing that compares to that. So no medication, nothing. You just had to make a choice. I just had to make a choice. Get my ass out of bed. You know, stop chasing this money.
Starting point is 00:59:31 Take care of my family. Make sure they got something to do with everything I'm doing. And just chill, man. Well, we appreciate you for joining us, T-Pain. Thank y'all for having me, brother. I appreciate it, man. Well, it's The Breakfast Club. It's T-Pain.

Starting point is 01:05:22 Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Starting point is 01:05:35 Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's about time. What's going on?
Starting point is 01:05:50 Rumor Report. Rumor Report. This is the Rumor Report. Talk to them. With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. Alright, so Blueface was on with Big Boi and he talked about how many women he slept with over the past six months. How many females do you think you've knocked down in the last six months?
Starting point is 01:06:06 A thousand. Six? I'm a f***. It's like sometimes it might be a threesome. It might be an oh-some. I didn't have a five-some. That's the most you've had? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:16 It's five? Me and four girls. You and four. That's disgusting. A thousand in six months? I think you just made that number up. I don't think I've ever had sex with a thousand girls in my life think he just made that number up. I don't think I've ever had sex with 1,000 girls in my life. That's disgusting.
Starting point is 01:06:26 Never ever in your life? Not much a thousand is. Not much a thousand is. One comma zero zero zero. I thought you were going to count one. A thousand? Three. But yeah, when you count, you really can put it in perspective.
Starting point is 01:06:37 1,000 girls in six months? No way. He's exaggerating. Yeah, of course. But if he did, he's been exposed to a whole lot of herpes, a whole lot of HIV, amongst other things. All right, now Tiffany Haddish is trying to shoot her shot at Giancarlo Stanton from the Yankees. He's the star outfielder.
Starting point is 01:06:53 Here's what she said. Oh, I've been seeing number 27 from the New York Yankees. His name is Giancarlo Stanton. I've been seeing him in my dreams a lot. He is 6'4", 250 pounds. Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Somebody to burp me. I just want him to pick me up and just go like this. It's going to be okay, Tiffany.
Starting point is 01:07:14 You know, Tiff speaks things into fruition. She envisions things in her mind first, and then they happen. Yeah, so maybe he'll reach out after this, right? Maybe. That'd be nice. All right, Quavo is working on a new animated series. It's going to be for kids. That should be exciting.
Starting point is 01:07:28 It's going to be targeted toward 8 to 12-year-olds, and it's going to have to do with Atlanta's hip-hop scene. He said, I have long seen how hip-hop, as well as Amigos music, really impacts kids. I've loved animation my whole life, whether on TV or in movies, and I wanted my first jump into this premium content world to be a show just for kids. It will definitely reflect the creativity, love, and families Okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:07:53 I'm here for it. Question, why don't more sisters shoot their shot at baseball players? Like, that's where the money at. Is that what you're thinking? Yeah, I did. That's what I was thinking. You a bird. Listen, we went to, remember when we went to MLB All-Star Weekend? Yes.
Starting point is 01:08:06 It wasn't as lit as it could have been at all. Nah, it wasn't as lit. It just wasn't as fun. It's a different demographic. It's not too many urban black people. There's not too many minorities. Do these sisters not see the contracts that these brothers make? There's definitely a lot of
Starting point is 01:08:22 minorities that play baseball. That play baseball but weren't in the stands. Not at the parties and stuff like that. Yeah, they do need to work on their diversity and their outreach as far as getting people to come to the games. Absolutely. Just Google the highest paid baseball players and look at those numbers. Honey, you a bird.
Starting point is 01:08:37 Are you getting wet over there? Yes, he is. All right, Tyra Banks is living in a dorm while at Harvard Business School. She posted a picture of herself sitting on the bed. By the way, she looks very depressed in this picture. She said, I am sitting in my Harvard dorm pondering the massive undertaking of Model Land that launches later this year. I came to the business school many years ago with the Model Land dream in mind, and now launch is so close. I have returned to school to refresh the knowledge I gained and to make sure I am more than equipped to bring you an attraction
Starting point is 01:09:06 like you've never experienced before, a place that allows you to be the fantasy version of yourself. The genius professors here at HBS, Harvard Business School, are sharing their world-class knowledge so that I can then take that and give you what you deserve. Thank you to all the faculty for your tireless teachings and for believing in your students so much. My dorm room don't look that bad.
Starting point is 01:09:27 She looked depressed. I don't know why. Put her in my dorm room where there was no air conditioner. It definitely looks like a model picture. The heat stays on all the time when I was in school. That looked nice. She got a mirror in her room. Yeah, they was going crazy in her comments.
Starting point is 01:09:39 They were like, go home. Like, why are you in the dorm? She was dating a baseball player. She wouldn't have to be in that goddamn dorm. Shut up, man. Mike Trout made? She was dating a baseball player. She wouldn't have to be in that goddamn dorm. Shut up, man. Mike Trout made $35.8 million last year. Tyra has quite a bag herself, though.
Starting point is 01:09:50 So it's not that she has to be in the dorm. Clearly, she wants to for this business that she's launching. Clayton Kershaw made $33.8 million. Let's see what Tyra's worth is. David Price, $30.7 million. I'm talking about what they made last year. They might want to get with Tyra for her salary. What you mean, oh please?
Starting point is 01:10:07 This is what they made last year in salary. That's not even a contract. Her net worth is $90 million. Okay, well David Price made $30 million last year and he's the third highest paid baseball player. So that means in two more years he'll make that $90 million. He had to pay people. All right, girls.
Starting point is 01:10:24 All right, I'm Angela Yee, and that is your rumor report. Miguel Cabrera. The Tigers owe him $184 million over the next six years. Why y'all not out here trying to land baseball players? But which one is the cutest?
Starting point is 01:10:34 You trying to holler? No, I'm just saying. Tell us which one is cute. All I'm saying is Tiffany Haddish is on to something by shooting her shot at a baseball player. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:10:42 Forget love and all that other stuff, huh? Just money. Megan Estalia asked a question. She said, do I want love or the D? So where's the money at in that equation? Which one would you pick? The money. Okay.
Starting point is 01:10:51 Up next, Dr. Sabie's family will be joining us. Dr. Sabie was a healer, and he's healed thousands of people, and his family has a story to tell, and we're going to talk to them next. Don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:11:08 E.J. N.V. Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We have some special guests in the building. I'll let you guys introduce yourself. Of course, Dr. Sabie's family, so please introduce yourselves, guys. I'm Kelly Bowman.
Starting point is 01:11:22 Dr. Sabie's daughter. I am his daughter. My name is Isaiah Bowman. I. Dr. Sebi's daughter. I am his daughter. My name is Isaiah Bowman. I'm Dr. Sebi's grandson. My name is Alfredo Darrington Bowman Jr., a.k.a. Asami. I'm Jr. I think I'm the only one in the room that actually got a chance to meet Dr. Sebi a couple of times.
Starting point is 01:11:37 I don't believe I did. No, I haven't. And I would always tell the story of how he's healed so many people, everything from herpes to HIV to ED. And he's helped so many people. I think he was about 85 when I met him. And I tell the story.
Starting point is 01:11:56 I seen him stand on a table, jump off the table, land on his knees, and then get back up and say. I thought he died at 82. Or whatever age he was when he came up here, 70s, maybe it was his 70s or whatever it was. And people talk about his program and how he's healed so many people, but now there's so many different people selling his products. So we're trying to figure out what's authentic.
Starting point is 01:12:16 Which is authentic, which is not authentic. Is it coming from his ex-wife or his kids? Let's talk about that a little bit. Well, as far as the legacy, you're seeing it right in front of you. We are the original family with the original products. We're the ones continuing the legacy of my grandfather, the ones that have been helping heal and save lives and help our people. And like you just said, you saw my grandfather jump on a table
Starting point is 01:12:42 and get right back off that table is because of minerals and one of the main components that we always talk about is sea moss sea moss provides you with 92 of 102 minerals what the body is composed of so it's high in zinc high in calcium it enriched the blood tone of body naturally lower blood pressure get rid of asthma, and bring the body back to its natural essence. So when we talk about my grandfather, Dr. Sabian, original products, this is his first born son right here. Wow. Now, can we go back to you saying that Dr. Sabian was a sick man because he did have some ailments at first, and that's what led him to find out what people do really need in their body, the natural things that we do need in order to get better. So talk about the struggles that he had and how he came across Dr. Sabie.
Starting point is 01:13:29 I can tell you about that because I watched him. I'm a junior. He had asthma really bad. He had the first stages of diabetes really bad. He would come in the house and be wheezing. And he didn't like it. Nobody likes it. He became impotent behind diabetes.
Starting point is 01:13:43 And it just got to a point in his life where he had to say, enough is enough. And I was like 18. He said, man, we need to quit eating meat. He said, we need to just go and be vegetarians. So where did he get that information from? To know I should stop eating meat and stuff like that? Well, it's a gentleman. His name was George Sevillo.
Starting point is 01:14:04 And he was a Mexican healer. And the guy had a book. It was called Herbology for Home Study. And that book tells you everything. I'm a chemist by trade. It breaks down everything in formulas. Shows you how it affects the body. It lets you know there's no such thing as protein.
Starting point is 01:14:21 I heard Dr. Sebi say that one time. He was like, what is protein powder? It's nonexistent. That's just a name. There's nothing. Sebi say that one time. He was like, what is protein powder? It's non-existent. That's just a name. There's nothing that lives, that's in our body. Think about the gorilla. What protein is he getting? So it don't even come from plants?
Starting point is 01:14:33 Not at all. He don't need protein. And he bigger than all of us. He eating green leaves. Whatever protein they say exists, got to exist in that. That is a westernized formula that's man-made in a laboratory. How can a white substance help me with my proper nutritional value? You want minerals such as that sea moss you just took.
Starting point is 01:14:55 That's going to provide you with more minerals than that white substance than anything in GMC. So what about like vitamins and fish oil? Is that any good? Fish oils have their job that they do, but when you have black seed oil, why use fish oil? You know, there's always great alternatives. Do you think the government killed Dr. Saban?
Starting point is 01:15:17 No, it wasn't anything government. It wasn't no government foul play. If your dad or grandfather go to a prison in a third world country where there's not hot showers and hot meals and a television, then it's a possibility that he can die as well. So it wasn't no government
Starting point is 01:15:36 foul play. My uncle was in that same prison and he almost died. What was he arrested for? I know he was arrested several times for, they believed he was trying to get over on the people and he beat all those cases. What was he arrested for? I know he was arrested several times for, they believed he was trying to get over on the people, and he beat all those cases. What was he arrested for this time, the last time? They claimed that he was trying to embezzle money, which is false information.
Starting point is 01:15:53 Now, another time I remember that he took out ads in the newspaper saying that he can help heal people, and he was arrested for that, and he actually beat that case. Can you explain to people what happened during that time? Yeah, it was the Village Voice and the big red newspaper. And what happened was, you know, the Attorney General at the time was
Starting point is 01:16:11 Attorney General Abrams here in New York. And he called Savi. He said, look, man, you can't have that ad in the paper. He said, that's not true. Savi said, what do you mean? He said, because it's not true. He said, well, tell me why it's not true. He said, because you can't do that. He said, that's not good enough.
Starting point is 01:16:27 I'm going to phone up on it. So I must have been three, four months. And that ad was claiming that he can cure HIV AIDS. And it was big then. Big back then, I remember, yeah. Herpes, cancer, diabetes, sickle cell. Basically, he was saying, we can reverse any disease, and that still remains today
Starting point is 01:16:46 because there's no disease that's irreversible. When you give the body the environment that it needs to nourish itself, our bodies want to heal itself. And it's up to us to decide, hey, we got to change our toolbox. What is our toolbox? The food that we put in our mouth. Now, that's the conspiracy, is that our food sources have been feeding us. It's killing us as a nation.
Starting point is 01:17:08 And not only that, the pharmaceuticals. Yeah, the pharmaceuticals. So when we look at this and we think about the food that we're eating, that's a conspiracy all in itself because we've been fooled to think that processed food is our food. It is the silent killer. Let's go back. I want to talk about the court case some more. Now, the government brought charges on him.
Starting point is 01:17:25 Brought charges on him for what they said, selling, practicing medicine without a license. So in that courtroom was the AMA. He's the first naturopath to go up against the AMA, which went all the way to the Supreme Court, and he beat the case. Try to get a copy of the case now. They have it sealed.
Starting point is 01:17:43 I read some of it. They said that they told him to bring in people that he healed. The courtroom was two-fold. They asked him to bring 15. He filled the court up. The court case is what Nipsey wanted to focus on in his documentary, right? Just that specific time.
Starting point is 01:18:00 Yeah, so with the Nipsey passing and Nipsey wanted to do the documentary, he want to just strictly focus on the court case because our generation need to know the truth. How did y'all feel when y'all saw everybody saying Nipsey was killed, which is ridiculous, killed because he was making a documentary on Dr. Stabler? It was very heartbreaking. And, you know, I was very disgusted behind it because our society always come
Starting point is 01:18:26 with an opinion and it's like once they found the shooter all the speculations went out the window Alright we have more with Dr. Sabie's family when we come back his daughter, his son and his grandson so don't move it's The Breakfast Club, good morning. Morning everybody it's DJ Envy
Starting point is 01:18:42 Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy, we are The Breakfast Club. We have Dr. Sabie's family with us today. His grandson, his son, his daughter. Now, for people that are listening now and they're saying, okay, well, I'm in. I want to change everything that I do. I want to change what I put in my body. What would you suggest to them?
Starting point is 01:18:57 I would tell them the first thing they need to do is go to their medicine cabinet and open it up and take all that garbage out and throw it away. And then I would tell them to start getting raw vegetables, drink good water. You know, we have a tendency to buy stuff that we feel like, I want that, no matter what the cost. But when it comes to our very body, the temples that we live in,
Starting point is 01:19:20 all of a sudden we're ready to compromise. That's too much. I can't eat organic. Organic is too much. No, organic, your body is the only thing you have. Why wouldn't you treat it better than anything else? That's right. So I would tell them, first, they should fast.
Starting point is 01:19:34 And I know that's difficult for some people because of our mentality. But our ancestors said this, eating is a necessary evil. If we looked at eating as a necessary evil, or that's something that we only needed for fuel for our body because it's fuel, then we wouldn't be so gluttonous. Because it's times when we don't need fuel for our body
Starting point is 01:19:53 and we fuel it up and then lay down and go, man, that was good. And then what we think happens, it stagnates us. I did a two-week fast fast and all I could have was coconut water while I was doing that fast and regular water. But anyway, it did change my whole thoughts about eating and food because I find that I eat socially a lot. You go to meet up with people and be like,
Starting point is 01:20:15 let's go meet here and eat, even if you're not hungry. And it was really helpful. It made me also change my taste buds. It changes your mind. Certain things taste nasty after you haven't eaten it for two weeks when they're so artificial, you don't even want it anymore. That's right. It changes your mind. It tastes nasty after you haven't eaten it for two weeks when they're so artificial, you don't even want it anymore. That's right, it changes your mind. Yeah, because, see, when you're fasting, it's very important.
Starting point is 01:20:32 You know, most people don't fast in their life at all. When you say fast, explain what kind of fasting. Yeah, break down what kind of fasting. There's different types of fasting. You know, my generation, we're not going to go cold turkey on just some water. So we have to be realistic for people. I recommend a seven-day fast of fruit, salad, and water. What about marijuana?
Starting point is 01:20:53 That's a herb. That's a herb. That's what I'm asking, you know. But see, what happens is this. Marijuana has its place. You know, marijuana is one of a very powerful plant. But then we got to realize one thing. Everything is there to help us get to a certain level,
Starting point is 01:21:07 not to be abused. I moved to Hawaii to juice fresh bud. When you juice fresh bud and you don't smoke it, it become a powerful healer. You mean juice it like that? Juice it like in a juicer with watery fruit, like watermelon, mango. You can almost raise the dead with that.
Starting point is 01:21:29 That's how powerful it is because we have so many cannabinoids in our body. Our body naturally produces THC. When you're feeling down and all of a sudden something happens, and you go, oh, and your thought changes, and you go, man, that chemical reaction is THC in your body bringing you what? Feelings of euphoria again. Question, like, isn't a lot of the weed now GMO though? Like when you see people messing with the THCs and all that?
Starting point is 01:21:50 Hey, you know, one of the things that I promote that people do is to grow their own food. Yeah. So just like you're growing your own food, you grow your own bud. Why? It's legal. Why keep paying for it when you can grow it yourself? Sometimes we act handicapped with the little things that our ancestors did as a hobby. All right. Now, Sister Kelly, what exactly is an alkaline diet?
Starting point is 01:22:09 Because to me, a lot of people think it's just water. When you think about an alkaline diet, what you're putting in is food that is completely whole. So you got your seeded fruits. You got your seeded elements. And what you want to do is have an alkalinity opposed to an acid diet. And so we've gotten it backwards. Most of our diet is acid. We eat things that are dead, such as meat. We have chicken in our diet. We have cheese. We have sugar. We have all these different things that causes the body to become acid. So when you talk about an alkaline diet, what you're putting in
Starting point is 01:22:42 is fuel to the body that does nothing but benefit the body. We want to add foods that give that alkalinity, which is your natural grains, your first grains, your vegetables, your fruits that do this kind of work in your body and take away those things that are processed so that it turns over to now you are 80 to 90% alkaline and maybe 20 or less in your acid. Now you're putting the body in a benefit to do what it needs to do. Now he also, he would give us, maybe one C-more, something else to take one a day that was great for the system. That's the deep, it was a cell cleanser at the time.
Starting point is 01:23:19 He gave me something, too, that made me want to have sex with my wife. Oh, you're talking about the male balance. Yeah, that's the male balance. I would like something for that. I got five kids because of that problem. Yeah, that male balance is excellent because for men, you know, between the ages of 25 to 75, you know, in our society, prostate cancer is at its highest. Most men are impotent. A lot of men take high blood pressure, high cholesterol pills,
Starting point is 01:23:45 and that destroys the body. So what that male balance does is put the hormones back into the body, cleanse the urinary tract, help with your prostate, restrengthen the prostate. It makes you hard
Starting point is 01:23:55 like Rock Wilder. Oh, yeah, like Rock Wilder. Those Asami bitters that we have, these bitters. That male balance and the bitters is phenomenal.
Starting point is 01:24:04 We got a couple dollars. We got some male balance. the bidders is phenomenal. We got a couple dollars. Who got some male balance on male balance? Anybody got a little male balance? I was going to ask him. I got a couple dollars on me for some male balance. Most of them are waiting to drink tonight. That's all. The male balance is great for just the endurance
Starting point is 01:24:17 and the stamina as well. I deal with a lot of athletes and NBA players. Can they have that in their system and be tested? Oh, yeah, because it's 100% natural. See, with athletes, the CMOS and the male balance go hand in hand because it helps with strengthening the bones. Can teens take this as well? Oh, yeah, kids, teens, babies, everyone.
Starting point is 01:24:39 One of my clients, Ray Schrimmer, Jimmy, jumped off the speaker. You know what happened. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That looks the speaker. You know what happened. That looks so painful. I helped him in seven days with the sea moss. Wow. And you can make your shakes with sea moss instead of protein, instead of that powder.
Starting point is 01:24:54 I got the sea moss powder at the crib. Yeah, and I want to think about the male balance, too, because it seems like it would eliminate pre-workout. The pre-workout body. Stop. Don't do no more pre-workout. It's bad for the kidney and the liver. How can people get in touch with you if they want to get some of this stuff? You can follow at Dietary Resolutions,
Starting point is 01:25:08 and you can follow Sebi's Daughters on Instagram, and you can follow at Asami. Or Spear Amenity. That's spirit, mind, and body because we're about healing that. So it's Spear Amenity on Instagram. And I have a challenge where you can lose 7 to 14 pounds in 7 days just detoxifying the body, re-nourishing and re-strengthening the body
Starting point is 01:25:31 with natural minerals, water, and salad and fruit. Well, we're in. We can do it. Hell yeah. That's the challenge. I'm all in for that. How old are you, King, if you don't mind me asking? I'll be 61 in October, bro. Wow, okay.
Starting point is 01:25:42 And see, I ain't got gray hair yet. You got a hairline. I know. You got a hairline. I know. You got a hairline. His hairline grew back when he did that. My hair grew back when I did that. That's debatable. We don't know that. We think that's GMO. We think it's GMO. And it's awesome
Starting point is 01:25:56 because our body wants to repair itself. When we give it that opportunity, it does. He just jealous because he bald. He can't get no hair. Can you have too many fruits or vegetables? I'm just asking for people who some people might say there's too much sugar in fruits. Is there such a thing as too many fruits or too many vegetables in a day? You know why it's not? Because, you know, people have problem with sugar when their pancreatic gland is clogged up.
Starting point is 01:26:18 So I don't care if it's fruit, sugar, any sugar. Your body can't process it because why? You're not releasing insulin in order to balance your body to process that sugar. Well, thank you guys for joining us. Thank you for having us. We'd love to have you up here more just to preach and teach our community.
Starting point is 01:26:34 That's what we're all here for. We're here to help each other. Thank you so much. Did you get your mail balance? I'm going to talk to them. Alright, it's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
Starting point is 01:26:53 We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk Kanye West. She's spilling the tea. This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. So Kanye West bought an amazing present for somebody, and that present, they say, would cost around $300,000. Envy, maybe you can get this in your car show.
Starting point is 01:27:15 But he bought his former manager, John Monopoly, a brand-new, customized 2019 Lamborghini SUV. Okay, bought him a new Urus. That's dope. That ranges between $225 and $250. Well, I guess they had a customized matte black paint job as well. And it's, I'm sure, fully loaded. And he's got all kinds of things happening. So maybe it retails a little higher.
Starting point is 01:27:37 And maybe you should try to hit up John Monopoly and get that in the car show. Okay. We got a couple of Uruses in the car show. Oh, damn. We'd be all right. We'd be all right. What comes in the Uran show. Oh, damn. We'd be a'ight. What comes in a Uranus? It's a Uris. You do?
Starting point is 01:27:51 It's a Uris. A Uris? Yeah, it's a Uris. Do you want a Uranus? I do. And my wife's. You don't do it in your wife's? What are y'all talking about? I'm replying to your joke. What joke? The little joke you made. You made the joke. No, she made the joke too. You didn't catch it. I caught it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:06 He caught it. All right. Let's talk about the free Meek documentary series. It is available online. If you have Amazon Prime, you can actually watch all five episodes of free Meek already. And if you don't have Amazon Prime, you can do a 30-day free trial and watch the entire series. So make sure you guys check that out. I'm going to be watching that this weekend because guess what?
Starting point is 01:28:26 I have Amazon Prime, and the reason I even got it in the first place was so that I could order Whole Foods and not have to pay for it, and I barely ever use it anyway. But now I can use it to watch Free Meek. All right, and let's talk about fake followers. Turns out who you think is the highest, the celebrity with the highest amount of fake followers, percentage-wise. Whoever got the most followers,
Starting point is 01:28:47 I would say probably Kim Kardashian or Kylie. Kim Kardashian's not even in the top 10 on the list. So Kylie? Number one is Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen got fake followers? Yeah, 49%. Wow.
Starting point is 01:28:59 Jesus Christ. Why you out here faking the funk, Ellen? I wonder if that's her fault, though. Because you can't really... Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too. 49% sounds like you might have paid for some of those. Because it's a lot of, like, spam. Ellen don't gotta pay for no followers. It's not like 10%. That's what I'm saying. Like, you know how all those accounts would be like, oh, you want to get a cartoon illustration?
Starting point is 01:29:16 That's what I'm saying. That's not her fault. 49% of them, they're half your followers. Yeah. That seems like you might have paid for that. BTS has 47%. Kourtney Kardashian, 46%. Taylor Swift, 46%. Ariana Grande. That's not their fault. 46%.
Starting point is 01:29:28 That's not their fault. It might be their social media person. Because a lot of those people, I'm sure, don't even run their own social media. It might be the label. It might be the people working for them. Kevin Hart has 44%. Drake has 38%. Kevin Hart has 44% fake followers.
Starting point is 01:29:39 Uh-oh. And Drake. Yeah. I definitely know that's not real now. Because you can look at engagement. Like Drake and Kevin Hart have some of the most engaged followers on social media they have for years. Are they engaged with their fake followers? You said what? Do they engage with their fake followers too?
Starting point is 01:29:55 But I'm sure it's those spam accounts because we all have those. But you know what though? The girl will be like, hey, you want to see me masturbate and stuff like that. Even if 44 are fake, you can still prosper with the 60% that are real. Like that 60% that are real have your engagement through the roof. So, yeah, it don't matter. Yeah, all the millions and millions of followers they have. All right.
Starting point is 01:30:13 And Rick Ross has released Port of Miami 2. Are y'all excited? Have you had a chance to hear it yet? I haven't heard it yet. I was in the airport all night. I haven't listened to it today. Yeah, I was stuck in the airport, so I haven't had a chance. But we do have some snippets for you.
Starting point is 01:30:24 I was listening this morning. Are you ready to hear these snippets? Yeah. All right. Well, here is Rich N-Word Lifestyle featuring Nipsey and Tiana Taylor. This is Rick Ross' verse. Uh, tell me what your career worth. I hear you talking war, but have you lived first?
Starting point is 01:30:42 I'm just here to keep it real and not make you feel worse. May be a lost cause, but let's still search search until the day i die holding my gun job rather have a friend or enemy which one am i a bird box i want to see my brother fly no longer shackled and changed why you only play nipsey verse nipsey verse we're about to right now slow down now here's tiana tiller and niple's snippet on rich N-word lifestyle. Ooh, baby, all couldn't make you see how you live it. Ooh, it's a nice day, yeah. I'm so high style, yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:17 High style, yeah. Ooh. I'm in the gym on your payroll. Rich gang bangers, y'all ain't even know they make those. Double K slows. Push buttons, I got say-so. When it's war time, never lay low. Y'all play roles.
Starting point is 01:31:32 I can't name a fake nigga that was not exposed. I got singing those surprise that Tekashi told. Ain't a real street looking at you got a coat. Might as well come and look and follow by a lot of O's. You see Nipsey just stating the obvious about Tekashi 6ix9ine and wondering why we so surprised. I wasn't, though. Yeah, I don't, yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:51 He had a lot going on. All right, and here is also Lil Wayne. If you guys remember, he's on Maybach Music 6. This is a song that Rick Ross said he was also going to put Pusha T on, but Pusha T didn't make it on for some reason. Let's go for a ride to where your heart desire. I it on for some reason. I must say, the leaked Pusha T verse that I heard is more exciting than the Wayne verse. Well, you want to hear that? Because we have that right here.
Starting point is 01:32:32 Here's the alleged Pusha T verse that was supposed to be on Maybach Music 6. We talking skill set or popularity pose. When you speak truth to power, your popularity grows. on these clowns it's like you color they knows we talking skill set or popularity pose when you speak truth to power your popularity grows here switch gears out of relevance of fear when their name's not as hot as who they want to stand near all you looking weird how can you compare when you say you've been rich but be needed it's like veneers for every hundred thousand dollar chain i see on a thousand ass neck that i dare not be. Young and old and you all the same to me. Just one slick tweet from treading dangerously.
Starting point is 01:33:10 Pusha T is busy. Pusha T is a really great rapper. He is. And he's 42 years old and he's been doing it for almost 20 years. I don't want to hear anything from you hot for the moment ass rappers. You better learn to play forever. And it's very interesting because when you hear Wayne and you hear Pusha, one is getting better with time and
Starting point is 01:33:27 one isn't. You know what I'm saying? I don't know why Pusha's verse is not on that song. I really don't. Yeah, well, they said that and according to Upscale Vandal, who works with Pusha T, he said Pusha did clear the verse, even though he knew Lil Wayne was supposed to be on it, so I don't know what ended up
Starting point is 01:33:43 happening behind the scenes. All right, I'm Angela Yee, and that is your rumor report. All right, thank you, Miss Yee. All right, Revolt, we'll see you on Monday. Everybody else, we're going to get into the premiere. Well, I ain't going to say the premiere. We've been playing it all morning long. Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj.

And keep in mind, if you're over 40, you're not a hot girl, you're a golden girl. So don't blow a hip out trying to keep up with these young girls in this record, okay? My goodness. Well, this should be exciting because A$AP Rocky, that's his first performance since he's been released from Sweden also. Oh, no, everybody's talking about it. Yeah.
