Listen to Historical Records because in order to make history you have to make some noise. Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The world's most dangerous morning show, The Breakfast Club.

Y'all are like a mega force y'all just took over every wake your punk ass up this chris brown i've officially joined the breakfast club say something mother i'm with it the world's most dangerous morning show breakfast club bitches We have to start from the top, Dramos. I didn't hear Angel Lee. And I don't know where DJ Envy is. And I can't get my yo-yo-yos off until I get set up properly.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Good morning, USA! Guess what day it is Guess what day it is Pump day We here Yes indeed What's happening Yee How was your night Yesterday was pretty good Let me tell you what happened to me yesterday I started feeling a little dizzy While I was out and about yesterday We had a pop up lift shop yesterday
Starting point is 00:03:42 That's every Tuesday at Brooklyn Roasting We have these different companies, black-owned businesses come in and promote their brands. And so I was out working all day yesterday. I did my podcast, two episodes from home. I did all this stuff. And I realized I forgot to eat. And I didn't even
Starting point is 00:03:57 think about it. And I was like, why do I feel dizzy? And I'm feeling a little, and then I realized I didn't eat all day. Were you hydrated? I was drinking water. Of course, I had some coffee. But I just didn't eat a thing. And I came home. I didn't get home
Starting point is 00:04:14 until, like, maybe, like, 9 o'clock at night. And I was like, I gotta eat something. And I normally don't eat that late, but I had to. You ever forget to eat? Not really. Only because I understand that food is fuel. I drink a lot, though. I hydrate a lot. Like, I got my gallon
Starting point is 00:04:30 of water right here. So sometimes when you hydrate that much, you realize, like, oh, I haven't really eaten yet today. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been there. Never gotten to the point where I've been dizzy, though. I think you had a drink or something that you ain't telling us about. I didn't have a drink at all. And then I also was saying, because, you know, normally I'm at home.
Starting point is 00:04:47 I try to unwind, have a little. I haven't had a drink since last week because I've been so busy. Now, how was your day? The day was good. I was on Don Lemon last night on his show talking about, you know, the state of the black vote. I mean, we're voting in what? Less than 12 days now? Some people are voting now.? Some people are voting now.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Yeah, people are voting now. Like 28 million people already have voted. I think I'm going to vote early as well. And then I woke up this morning, and I realized that today would have been my homegirl, Jasmine Waters. Our homegirl, Jasmine Waters, Jazz Fly. It would have been her 40th born day today. That's right. So drop on the clues box for Jazz Fly,
Starting point is 00:05:25 Jazz in the Water. She'd have been 40 today. So... Then I was... Yeah, that's... I'm aware of that. Rest in peace.
Starting point is 00:05:31 I know I'm going to be wearing that today. You know, you be driving and then you know, you start listening to music because you
Starting point is 00:05:36 start thinking about your homies. So you start off with... I started off with Brandy and Gladys Knight and Shaka Khan.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Remember that Missing You song from the Set It Off soundtrack? Yes. And then you go down this rabbit hole. So you started,
Starting point is 00:05:48 then I listened to Mary J. Blige, I Love You. And what else did I listen to this morning? Oh, Jay Electronica and Jay-Z, the Sleep Well joint.
Starting point is 00:05:57 So it was just like, why do we do that to ourselves? There's nothing wrong, but there's nothing wrong with grieving and being sad at times. There's nothing wrong with that. And then you feel And being sad at times There's nothing wrong with that And then you feel
Starting point is 00:06:06 Better afterwards Yes you gotta feel I was just saying to My homegirl Janae I was talking to her yesterday And we were talking about How this has really been A tough year
Starting point is 00:06:14 Oof Like when you sit down And think about it And all the things That we've gone through Some things that people May not even know about It's been a tough year
Starting point is 00:06:21 Yes Jazz passed In June of this year You know how long ago that feels? That feels like a year ago, two years ago. Kobe feels like three years ago. Jesus Christ. Whatever. Alright. Let's start the show. Drum, I hope you got something
Starting point is 00:06:36 good to play. Play something. What you got? Wap. Alright, now that's what I'm talking about. Nothing to make you feel better than some goddamn Wap. I'm with that. Yee, what we got coming up in front page news? This ain't going to make you feel better, but the officer who was shot during the Breonna Taylor killing says that her shooting was not a race thing
Starting point is 00:06:54 and he did a sit-down interview for the first time. Oh, Lord have mercy. Okay. It's the world's most dangerous morning show, The Breakfast Club. It's the world's most dangerous morning show, The Breakfast Club. Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee. I don't know where the hell DJ Envy is,
Starting point is 00:07:06 but it's time to get into some front page news. I thought he just walked in. He didn't just walk in? Nah, I didn't see him. That was Dan. That was Dan. Oh, I didn't look.
Starting point is 00:07:14 I just heard it. Okay. He's not alike. Are you confused that white producer for DJ Envy? I mean... He's not that pale. Look to Dan, though.
Starting point is 00:07:23 I don't know what this means, Dan. Game one of the World Series. L.A. Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 8-3. I don't watch baseball. Sounds exactly like what you just said is what it means. I don't like baseball. I like baseball. When everybody was on steroids, baseball was a great game.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Now, not so much. Now what we got, Yehan? Front page news. Alright, now as you know, there's a grand juror that really wants to speak out with the Breonna Taylor case. And there have been some anonymous juror challenges statements that were made. And what they are saying is that they were never even presented with any homicide charges. So according to this anonymous juror, there wasn't even anything that was presented to them. Now, Attorney Benjamin Crump said, we now know what we suspected. juror there it wasn't even anything that was presented to them now uh attorney benjamin crump
Starting point is 00:08:05 said we now know what we suspected attorney general daniel cameron took the decision out of the grand jury's hands they didn't allow the grand jury to do what the law says they have the right to do this failure rests squarely on the shoulders shoulders of daniel cameron he then brought tamika palmer in and lied to her placing the result on the grand jury only because a brave member of that grand jury asked for permission to issue a statement and judge o'connell ruled on the grand jury only because a brave member of that grand jury asked for permission to issue a statement. And Judge O'Connell ruled on the side of transparency. Do we have this confirmation? Now, the reason they were told that no homicide charges were presented to them is because they said they didn't feel like it could stick, according to the judge. Well, you got to give the jury the chance to decide that, Dory.
Starting point is 00:08:43 It wasn't even presented. So they weren't even able. They didn't have any charges against the other officers, only the wanton endangerment one against the one that shot into someone else's apartment. All right. Now, one of the police officers, the police officer who was actually shot during Breonna Taylor's killing, has spoken out for the first time. Jonathan Mattingly, he sat down and did an exclusive interview with ABC News. And here's what he said. There have been marches. There
Starting point is 00:09:07 have been protests. What was your feelings watching all that unfold after this? Mostly frustration because there was so much disinformation out. This is not relatable to a George Floyd. This is nothing like it. It's not a Maude Arbery. It's nothing like it. It's not a race thing like people want to try to make it to be. It's not. This is a point where we're doing our job. We return fire. This is not us going hunting somebody down. This is not kneeling on a neck. This is nothing like that. You know, listen, I don't think that the shooting was racially driven,
Starting point is 00:09:38 but I think everything that happened after the shooting was racially driven. A lot of lies. Yeah, when they realized it was a black person, they didn't give her the proper care. They immediately tried to start covering their tracks. You know, the lack of justice, which you just reported about, they're not even presenting it as a homicide. I think everything after the shooting was racially driven.
Starting point is 00:09:56 I don't think the shooting itself was racially driven. All right, and in the next hour on Front Page News, we are going to talk about what's happening in Nigeria and what's happening with peaceful demonstrators there. That looks really sad. I was watching that all across my timeline yesterday. So we'll get more in depth on that in the next hour in Front Page News. But right now, this is your Front Page News.
Starting point is 00:10:17 I'm Angela Yee. That's right. Now it's time for what do we call a segment? Get it off your chest. Yeah, get it off your chest. Yeah, get it off your chest. If you're stressed about anything, if you're mad about anything, or if you just want to tell us why you're so blessed,
Starting point is 00:10:28 because I feel blessed, black, and highly favored this morning, you can call up. This is all about feeling your feels. That's what this segment is about. This segment, as my therapist says, this segment is about feeling your feels. Whatever you're feeling, you can call up here and vent right now. 1-800-585-1051. It's The Breakfast Club.

Tell Dramos you got some cream for his beard. day and let y'all have it. You understand me? Tell Dramos you got some cream for his beard. Whoa, whoa, slow down, Charlotte, man. Now you want to slow down.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Now you want to slow down. No, let's not slow down. You said it was a party. You said it was a party. You said it was a party. You said it was a party. You said it was off the hook. Let's get crazy. This guy, this guy, I don't know what.

Starting point is 00:12:12 Whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't let that roll off your tongue. You have a good one. Let it roll off your tongue. I was trying to let you get it to roll off Drom's beard, but whatever. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051 if you need to vent hit us up now it's the breakfast club good morning the breakfast club

Starting point is 00:12:54 I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I trade my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God.

One you can listen to and enjoy with your kids starting on September 27th. I'm going to toss it over to the host of Historical Records, Nimany, to tell you all about it. Make sure you check it out. Hey, y'all. Nimany here. I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records. Historical Records brings history to life through hip-hop. Flash, slam, another one gone. Bash, bam, another one gone.
Starting point is 00:15:16 The crack of the bat and another one gone. The tip of the cap is another one gone. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history, like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing. Check it. And it began with me. Did you know, did you know? I wouldn't give up my seat. Nine months before Rosa. It was called a woman. Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records. Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise. Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm telling. I'm telling. Hey, what you doing, man? I'm telling. I'm telling. Hey, what you doing, man?
Starting point is 00:16:07 I'm telling. I'm calling. I'm calling you. This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed. 800-585-1051. We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? This is King Book from Milwaukee.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Good morning. Good morning. King Book from Milwaukee. Good morning, good morning. King Book from Milwaukee. I love Milwaukee. I ain't been to Milwaukee in so long. Well, last year. I wish that I... DJ Envy came up here and went to G's Clippers,
Starting point is 00:16:33 but I couldn't make it because I was working. I'm born and raised here. I'm living in the 53206 area code, and I want my voice to be heard. So I'm your Instagram King Book. I'm not cloud chasing out here. I want to talk about the problems that are going on in Milwaukee so that we can conquer the problems going on in Milwaukee.
Starting point is 00:16:49 I hear my city and my state being called out every day. And y'all need to talk to her. I'm 30 years old. I'm, you know, letting go of my past. I hear y'all every day. I listen to the TI interview. I listen to the Taraji interview. I just came out on National Come Out Day.
Starting point is 00:17:04 I'm 30 years old. I'm a black man. And I want my voice to be heard as, you know, growing up in Milwaukee with those experiences. Yeah. Okay. Well, congrats on coming out, King. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Thank you. Thank you. I'm not going to hold y'all up because I know y'all be hanging up on people. DJ Envy, stop going around the question after you asked it, man. You holding up valuable screen time. But I really would like to be put on hold and y'all can continue to other calls because I need some in-depth things that I'm going on. I just got attacked by
Starting point is 00:17:29 my, yeah. Hold on, hold on. First of all, you need to answer one pressing question. Go ahead. Me or Envy? You. There you go. Wow. I need some encouragement this morning. Y'all read my DMs because I've been DMing y'all.
Starting point is 00:17:46 I called my mama yesterday. Now you're questionable because of that. Does that disturb you that he picked Charlemagne over me? Why? Because he got taste? Or Dramos? He got taste? He should have said neither.
Starting point is 00:17:59 You crazy. That's what he should have said. That's what he should have said. If he really had said it. That's what I would have said. I'm handsome. Yeah, right. Okay. Hello, who's should have said. If he really had to. That's what I would have said. I'm handsome, man. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Okay. Hello, who's this? Yo, good morning, Envy. Good morning, Charlamagne. Good morning, Angeles. Rick. Peace, Rick. What up, boy king? I ain't here for my phone.
Starting point is 00:18:15 iPhone good here. He ain't locked up, did he? I don't know, man. That's his problem. I got to hear what. Oh, now that's his problem. That was your best friend before. Nah, we good.
Starting point is 00:18:24 We good. Yeah. I want to ask. I want to talk about something. Charlamagne, I saw your interview with Diddy on Revolt for our black party, right? Yes, sir. And a lot of times we talk about the black agenda, but then I was thinking about it yesterday. I actually started writing stuff down.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Like, what is the black agenda? Like, what are the specifics involved inside the black agenda? And I think a lot of times we get separated because we don't, we're not on the same page. Like, you see 50 say he's going to vote for Trump because it's better for him financially, or like Ice Cube would be different, have a different opinion of what we want because we don't
Starting point is 00:18:56 know the specifics of the black agenda. So here's my idea. My idea, we have a black census. You know how they go around every 10 years and they do the census? We need to collectively find out what is most important for us on a poll, but not like a CNN poll or like a college poll, but like a real area where people of color or black people who are up to vote
Starting point is 00:19:19 can go and list their issues and list what's most important to them, and we can collectively collect that information and then put it to Joe Biden and then put it to a couple of the people in power so they can know exactly what the majority of people want. I'm not mad at that. I mean, it's a lot of different black agendas out there. I mean, Alicia Garza has one with Black Future Lab.
Starting point is 00:19:40 But don't you think that's a problem if we're only 16% of the population, but we have eight, nine different black agendas? I think a lot of the black agendas satisfy a lot what everybody needs, though. Well, if you look at the three main issues that black voters, these are based off polls. The three main issues that black... Who's polls? Who's polls? I don't know the black people they're polling.
Starting point is 00:20:04 I'm not talking about the agenda. I'm talking about in general the three issues that black people care I don't know the black people they pulling. I'm not talking about the agenda. I'm talking about in general, the three issues that black people care about the most right now, uh, coronavirus, racism, and economics. And I think personally, you can never lose if you, um, have a agenda that's just trying to increase the economic mobility of black people. Absolutely. Absolutely. But your position and my position might be different. So the people that are in power, what I say is... You don't want no money? Yeah, what would you like? Because it's usually the same thing.
Starting point is 00:20:31 It's usually economics, money, housing. Education and financial stability. Those things are really important to me because I feel like if we're going to make any kind of change, right, the kids have to be educated first to know where they're going to go and where they stand, right? So I think, but then if you hear like a person
Starting point is 00:20:47 like a 50 Cent who has a big platform to tell you he'll vote a particular way because he's financially benefiting from it, then, you know, who are they going to listen to?
Starting point is 00:20:57 Me, that I don't have a voice? Or 50 that has a bigger platform? So that's what I'm trying to say. So if we could do like the same Our Black Party website, that org or whatever, I want to be a participant in this thing where I could help to build some kind of like a polling system or some kind of website where we can go and we could, we as a general public can air out exactly what we want. I don't know if it's like a two-page
Starting point is 00:21:19 questionnaire or something that we can go there and we could fill it out and we can bring it to the politicians so they can see exactly what we want. But only for us black people, only for us, so we can know exactly what we want. Because I know we have an agenda, but we don't know the specific stuff. And I was watching all these people talk on the TV, and we were generalizing. We were just saying, yes, the black agenda, the black agenda. I'm like, what the hell is the black agenda? We don't even know.
Starting point is 00:21:41 So how can Joe Biden know? You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I definitely know what I want. But thank you, man. And yes, go to All Black Party. And please keep in mind, All Black Party, you know, it wasn't launched by Diddy. It was actually launched by, you know, Mayor Candace Hollingsworth and Dr. Wes Bellamy.
Starting point is 00:21:56 So, you know, those are... Yeah, yeah, I was watching them yesterday. I was watching Candace and Wes Bellamy. And that's where the idea came from in my mind. Because I'm like, yo, we don't know exactly what... We know that there is a black gender. We want to be in the top of the conversation, but we don't know specifically what everyone wants.
Starting point is 00:22:11 And that's why we're scattered sometimes because we can't come together to say, okay, this is exactly what we need to knock off the list every time. So thank you. I know I be on here sometimes bullshitting, but this morning I really had some real stuff on my mind. Yes, you did.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Thank you for calling, brother. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. Now, we got rumors on the way? Yeah, listen, there was so much activity yesterday. There's so much going on online between Tory Lanez going live and Sada Baby trying to get canceled. So where do we start today?
Starting point is 00:22:44 Let's talk about a rapper who is now being sued, and that is all for having sex with a girl when she was 13. All right, we'll get into that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
Starting point is 00:23:04 We are The Breakfast Club. Now, we want to pay your bills. Win $1,000 towards your expenses. Thanks to our partner, The General. Get a lot for a little at The General Insurance. For coverage you deserve at prices you can afford, visit TheGeneral.com today. Now, let's get to the rumors. Let's talk Tekashi69. Listen up.
Starting point is 00:23:21 It's just in. All the gossip. The Rumor Report. Gossip. With Angela Yee. It's The Rumor Report. The Breakfast Club. Well, now Tekashi69 has been sued, and that is by the 13-year-old girl that was depicted engaging in a sex act in videos that he posted online. She's suing him anonymously under the name Jane Doe. And she did bring claims against him and Taye Millie. They brought her to a party in Harlem February 21st in 2015. And they gave her drugs and alcohol,
Starting point is 00:23:53 took videos of her naked and performing sex acts, and then posted those videos on social media. She said she was only 13 when she was at the party. Is it just me or has that guy gone quiet? Like ever since his album came out, he didn't sell a lot of records. It seems like he vanished.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Is it just me? Well, he said he was trying to lose weight, but I also heard that a federal judge said that he can't have armed security around him. Really? So that might quiet you as well. We'll just say allegedly, but yeah. Right, so other news.
Starting point is 00:24:23 She was only 13, like I said. She was performing oral sex on Tamili, who was 21 at the time. And Takashi was thrusting his pelvis behind her and slapping her on the butt. And he was 18 at the time. Then there's another video of her sitting on his lap in her bra and underwear while they were pouring liquor on her and grabbing her breasts and then a video of her lying naked on Takashi and Taymili's laps while they rub her legs and vagina in a sexually explicit and demeaning manner. 13 years old. He got charged for that, though, didn't he? He took a deal. He had to do four years of probation and 1,000 hours of community service. All right. Now let's talk about Amber Rose. She was on Red Table Talk and she was discussing a lot of different things. Now we talked about this whole spousal rape incident
Starting point is 00:25:14 yesterday. We were talking about Jada Pinkett Smith's mother and how she says that her, Jada Pinkett's father actually had non-consensual sex with her. Well, here is what Amber Rose had to say about an incident that happened to her. I was in a relationship for two years. I had consensual sex plenty of times during that relationship. I didn't want to be with him anymore. I told him that I was leaving and he didn't want to hear that. He ripped my clothes off. I felt I was taken advantage of.
Starting point is 00:25:45 And it was terrible. And then he went downstairs and ate breakfast. He didn't clothes off. I felt I was taken advantage of. And it was terrible. And then he went downstairs and ate breakfast. Like, he didn't do anything. And then I also remember being, you know, younger. You know, I would maybe take a guy too far. Right. And he'll be like, oh, let me just put the s*** in a little bit. And I'll be like, no, I kind of don't want to.
Starting point is 00:26:01 No, just a little bit. And then it's full-on sex, and I'm just laying there like, I don't want to. No, just a little bit. And then it's full on sex and I'm just laying there like, I don't want to do this. Sad part is there will probably never be a safe space to have that conversation between men and women. You know, conversations about like the mixed signals, the misreading of body language. Because men aren't mind readers. And unless you have that conversation, how will the next generation know what's right and what's not? I think to prevent the kind of trauma that Amber is talking about in the future, those conversations have to happen.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Right, and she's saying, I don't want to do this. And then they're still, well, let me just do that and trying to convince you to do something. You should never feel like you have to persuade or coerce somebody into having sex with you if you're saying this is not something I want to do. Now, Amber Rose is also talking about raising Sebastian and not keeping anything from him.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Here's what she said. Amber, how are you teaching your boys? Because Sebastian, how old is Sebastian? He just turned seven. See, that's okay. But he's way beyond his years. I bet. You know, and he knows everything.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Got it. I'm not hiding nothing from my son. Right. My son knows what a period is. Right. My son is seven, and I don't feel like it's too soon. No, it's huge. I don't, because once he hits soon. I don't because once he
Starting point is 00:27:05 hits 13 and the girls in his classroom are getting their period and the boys are like, that's disgusting. She's bleeding. He's like, I knew that since I was six years old, dude. Like, get with the program. She's right. It's never too early to give those kids those information. If they're old enough to learn,
Starting point is 00:27:21 then those are things that they can learn about. I wish I knew what a period was when I got mine. I had no idea what was going on. I did because I read what Judy information if they're old enough to learn then those are things that they can learn about i wish i knew what a period was when i got mine i had no idea what was going on i did because i read what judy bloom book was that was it are you there goddess me are you there goddess me that's right i know about periods and stuff early so when you got your period you know immediately what it was i must i must i must increase my bus okay but you know that the beauty about that is my mother would always encourage me to read things that didn't pertain to beauty about that is my mother would always encourage me to read things that didn't pertain to me so that's what i would read i would read judy bloom and
Starting point is 00:27:49 beverly clearly and you would read about stuff like that so you know what though when and uh are you there god i still didn't know what a period was i knew she couldn't wait to get it i just didn't really understand what it meant what it was i think i mean they explained it in the book pretty much but i'll tell, my parents did not explain that to me. And when it happened, I didn't know what was happening. I was like, what's going on? And you grew up in Brooklyn, you probably thought you got shot. Alright, well, I'm Angela
Starting point is 00:28:15 Yee, and that is your Rumor Report. Alright, well, we got front page news coming up. What are we talking about? Yes, and let's talk about what's happening in Nigeria. Innocent people, peaceful protesters are getting shot and killed. All right, we'll get into that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:28:30 Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy.
Starting point is 00:28:43 There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I trade my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help. We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Hey, guys. I'm Kate Max. You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast, Post High is all about. You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout? Well, that's when the real magic happens. So if you love hearing real inspiring stories from the people, you know, follow and admire join me every week for post run high. It's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the heart of it all. It's
Starting point is 00:30:20 lighthearted, pretty crazy, and very fun. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. So y'all, this is Questlove, and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast I've been working on with the Story Pirates and John Glickman called Historical Records. It's a family-friendly podcast. Yeah, you heard that right. A podcast for all ages. One you can listen to and enjoy with your kids starting on September 27th. I'm going to toss it over to the host of Historical Records, Nimany, to tell you all about it.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Make sure you check it out. Hey, y'all. Nimany here. I'm the host of a brand-new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records. Historical Records brings history to life through hip-hop. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history, like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15 year old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus
Starting point is 00:31:29 nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing. Check it. And it began with me. Did you know, did you know? I wouldn't give up my seat nine months before Rosa, it was Claudette Colvin. Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise. Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news. The last night World Series, right? Did y'all watch the World Series, buddy?
Starting point is 00:32:17 No, man. I don't like baseball. I like baseball and everybody who's on steroids. Drum loves baseball. Drum, did you watch it? Nah, Yankees got eliminated. I'm going to stop watching now. I thought you got to support
Starting point is 00:32:27 all Dominicans. What? And Puerto Ricans. I support all my Latino brothers. So you should be watching baseball. Well, the Dodgers beat Tampa Bay 8-3.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Now, what else we got, Ye? Well, let's talk about what is happening right now in Nigeria. I want to make sure that people are aware. There is these, and we talked about this briefly because I saw NSARs was trending,
Starting point is 00:32:50 and this was a couple of weeks ago when we discussed it. And now people have been shot and killed. Witnesses said up to 12 people were killed and others wounded. That's when soldiers opened fire on some peaceful protesters. The state governor is saying, though, that there were no fatalities, even though they said about 25 people had been wounded. There is an indefinite 24-hour curfew that has been imposed on Lagos and other regions as well. Protesters had been gathering, and they said, according to witnesses,
Starting point is 00:33:18 that some uniformed officers just came up and started shooting at the crowd. Now, the protests started over a now disbanded police unit, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad. That's what SARS stands for. So when you see end SARS trending on social media, you know what that's about. And they did disband that, but they want more changes in Nigeria. So even though they're having peaceful protests,
Starting point is 00:33:39 people are getting shot and killed. And there's a lot of footage. When you look at the hashtag online, you can see. It's really sad and horrifying to watch as these officers come and just start firing on demonstrators. Yes, Luthor, my Nigerian brothers and sisters, I am not informed about SARS the way that I need to be. I'm waiting to be downloaded properly, but I'm not sure I have the bandwidth. You know, it's a lot to take in. A lot going on.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Well, it's important because they have, we saw the protests that they were doing as we were protesting police brutality here in the United States. Yeah, so I just want to make sure that everybody is aware and spreading awareness. And I do see a lot of people posting about it. And if you just search the hashtag, just Google it on, you know, anywhere,
Starting point is 00:34:21 you can find out more information. So how do we end SARS? It's like ending SARS is like, is that the American, is like that's the Nigerian version of like end police brutality? Yeah, so originally, like I said, it was a special police unit,
Starting point is 00:34:34 but, and they were kidnapping people and they were intimidating people, killing people. And so they did disband that particular unit, but they do need more police reform there. Just like we need it here. They need it there as well. Got you. All right. Now I get it. Right. So awareness is one of the most important things. Now here in the United States, the latest on the coronavirus pandemic, they are saying that cases are rapidly accelerating
Starting point is 00:34:59 and the country did top 60,000 new infections yesterday. It's triple what the daily average was back in June as they started easing restrictions. They say COVID-19 cases in children in the United States jumped 13% in the first two weeks of this month. Yeah, I mean, school started, work's starting back. I mean, so what do we do? Because people, it is spiking. So do we close the country again? I don't think so. That's all you're going to say?
Starting point is 00:35:28 I was going to say the levels are rising so much. And I think it is important people think that it's just safe to be outside without masks, not social distancing. And, you know, like all the experts have been telling us, make sure that you are wearing a mask, not to do anything that is unnecessary. And take those precautions and getting tested so you know that you're not spreading it. Don't go to these super spreader events. Right. As people have been going. I get so confused about this because I look back at the last pandemic,
Starting point is 00:35:55 which was swine flu in 2009, and 60 million people in America had it. And there was 250,000 hospitalizations. Like, why didn't the country get shut down then? How many people died? Well, because they said it was only 12,000 people died. That's why didn't the country get shut down then? How many people died? Well, because they said it was only 12,000 people died. That's not only. That's a lot. Well, compared to the over 200,000 people that have died so far here in the United States this time around,
Starting point is 00:36:15 what they said was in that particular situation, first of all, they said it was the flu, and they knew that the mortality rate was not that high. Most people didn't die from it. It was kind of like getting the flu. It was like 0.001% chance that you could die from it. The percentage of coronavirus is low too, but they were shutting the country down. 0.65%.
Starting point is 00:36:33 They were shutting the country down when there was like 5,000, 6,000 people here for coronavirus this year. So I'm just saying. But they said they knew it wasn't, it's definitely not as deadly. The way to contract it was a lot easier. That's the reason why.
Starting point is 00:36:44 And they also said that Obama at the time did try to make it more serious than it was. And a lot of people were saying, oh, he's making this too big of a deal. This is political. And they were the ones that actually were saying it shouldn't be as big a deal as Obama was making it at that time. How do you make something, how can something not be a big deal if 60 million people get it and 12,000 people died and 250,000 hospitalizations? Like that is a big deal. So Obama reacted the way and 12,000 people died and 250,000 hospitalizations? Like, that is a big deal. So Obama reacted the way he should have to the situation. No, he did.
Starting point is 00:37:09 And that's what I'm saying. And at that time, people were telling him that he was overreacting and trying to make it political because he was trying to make it a bigger deal. And my point with what you just said is, what do we do now? Like, we see the cases rising, but people still got to go to work, still got to go to school. Did we overreact before? Or do we just continue to do what we're doing now? Like, what do we do? That's all I'm asking. That's a good question. I mean, I don't think we overreacted, but I mean, do we shut the country down and try to save more lives or do people continue to lose their houses, their cars, their businesses? You know, people are messed up. Stop gathering and having these
Starting point is 00:37:43 huge events. If you can work from home, work from home. If anything is unnecessary, don't do it if you don't have to. And wear a mask all the time and wash your hands. All right. Get tested. Coming from the people who've taken several vacations this year and been in the clubs. And guess what?
Starting point is 00:37:59 Every time, I haven't been in any club, but I have gotten tested. I have gotten tested every time I've gone somewhere. I always wear my mask. And when I was on vacation, I was in a villa away from everybody. So, you know, I do take my proper precautions and I live by myself. So I'm not going to infect anybody in my home. Come home in quarantine. I know I've gotten tested eight times and haven't gotten it.
Starting point is 00:38:23 Yesterday I was six. South Carolina. Yesterday she said six. She did. Yesterday you was six. South Carolina. Yesterday she said six. She did. Yesterday you was with Diddy. You was with Diddy. Diddy was just on vacation. That wasn't me.
Starting point is 00:38:32 It was a hologram. Oh, now it was a hologram. I got tested before I hosted this event with Daymond John, and I just got tested again this week. Oh, all right. Well, that is your front page news. Now when we come back, comedian Joe Coy will be joining us. We'll kick it with Joe Coy. So don't
Starting point is 00:38:49 move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. You're checking out the world's most dangerous morning show. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We got a special guest on the line.
Starting point is 00:39:06 Our buddy, our pal. He started off the conversation with, I'm getting old. Ladies and gentlemen, Joe Coy. I'm sorry, man. I'm trying to adjust to this Zoom. I can't do it, man. I hate it. My 17-year-old son is the one that set this all up.
Starting point is 00:39:20 He went to bed. I don't know how to turn it on. Still. Don't be like Jeff Toobin and get caught f***ing off on Zoom. You know Jeff Toobin, the CNN legal analyst? He got caught f***ing off on Zoom. I'm not going to lie, though. I'm doing this interview,
Starting point is 00:39:34 Charlamagne, like Winnie the Pooh. I have a nice top on, but nothing but shorts underneath. Just regular underwear. Why are you trying to look, Charlamagne? Take the camera. Let me see. What's wrong with you, Charlamagne? You really had to.
Starting point is 00:39:46 That ain't Winnie the Pooh. Winnie the Pooh don't wear no shorts, Joe. Come on, you tease. All right, let me take them off. Let me take them off. Oh, my goodness. You're a tease, Joe. Let me take them off.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Let me see, Joe. Take it off, bitch. Ben Dover, let me see. What's wrong with you? Sweet Joe Coy. We just lost him. We just lost Joe Coy. Joe Coy took off his pants.
Starting point is 00:40:09 So I started rapping to him. And then all of a sudden, we lost Joe Coy. Man, what is going on? What are you mad at? This just makes me mad. Like, this is so unprofessional, man. It's like I'm at home in front of a chimney. Right, Angela?
Starting point is 00:40:32 Now, what's behind you, Delcoy? Why is there like a crying baby? That's my son. That's my son. You're talking about my son. It's a crying baby behind you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This reminds you to always pull out, everybody.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Right there. I thought that was so interesting to watch you and your son behind you yeah yeah yeah this this this reminds you to always pull out everybody right there i thought that was so interesting to watch you and your son sit down and for you to play some of the jokes that you told at his expense oh i i thought that was the most fun because a lot of people think i'm making the stories up i'm like i'm not making them up i'll do it in front of my mom i'll do it in front of my my son it's just it was fun to actually see him respond to the to the jokes personally that was that was a lot of fun especially the masturbation joke because you know that's embarrassing to talk about your son masturbating and then he's right there angela i almost didn't do that joke and and then he came uh to the taping
Starting point is 00:41:22 uh my netflix taping and literally he walked out and said, you have to close with that joke, dad. But I wasn't going to do it. I swear. I was like nervous to do it. But he walked up to me. He was like, dad, you got to do that joke. It's going to crush. Just do it.
Starting point is 00:41:33 I was like, all right, let's go. So how are you doing during coronavirus and COVID? Because, you know, you tour a lot. You're always on the road. You're out the country. So how is it just sitting down doing pretty much nothing? It's actually the this is the best year of my life. And I'm, I'm,
Starting point is 00:41:50 I was blessed to be able to be in the position to not have to work because watching my son grow up in front of me, this is my first time seeing him every single day, taking him to school, making him lunch. And, you know, when you're on the road every single you know every single weekend you you lose that you right you take advantage of those those days where you're like oh I'll see him next week but each day you actually physically seeing them grow it's just wow I didn't know how much I was missing so man I love it I really do from that I'm sure so much
Starting point is 00:42:21 I can't wait I was on I went to you know ohio with uh you know chapelle's uh in yellow springs that was my first time on stage in seven months and uh and all it was about was my son and and covid and uh zoom class and you know just experiencing all that i hate zoom class don't discipline my son He has a Right now Taking your class right now You're lucky he doesn't stand up real quick They should have checks during zoom class You watch all these kids fail
Starting point is 00:42:53 Watch them fail Joe congrats on your variety magazine Cover too man Absolutely yes congrats man Thank you It's so funny one thing that you talked about. It's upside down, Joe. Shut up, Charlamagne.
Starting point is 00:43:09 What's really funny about your son is that he, at school, let people think that he was part black. Oh, you know there's a teacher that still thinks he's part black? He hasn't told them that no or anything. He just left it at that. So they all believe it. And my son's cool with it. Why did he lie and say he was part black?
Starting point is 00:43:27 Because my son wants to be black. What's wrong with that, Charlemagne? Nothing. I think it's great. Yeah, my son has a... My son's got a huge afro. To be honest, I really do think he's part black. And I'm cool with it, too. What does your wife think about it, then?
Starting point is 00:43:46 Hey, hey, my ex, you know, she dated some people. I came in at the right time. I got myself a cool black kid. No, wait a minute, Joe. Are you sure? All jokes aside, are you sure your son is yours? No, he's mine. He's 100% mine.
Starting point is 00:44:00 He's not on his applications for anything, right? He puts black. Yes, 100%. And then he also makes my sister's husband pick him up at school so all the kids go, oh, his dad is black. But that's not. That's my sister's husband. Now, do you still have that zit
Starting point is 00:44:16 on the side of your neck? How did you know? Because I follow you on Twitter. It's right here, man. It won't go. That might not be a zit, bro. You know you can get hurt anywhere. All right right here, man. It won't go. That might not be a zit, bro. You know you can get hurt anywhere. Alright, Angela, shut up. Do you miss being on the road?
Starting point is 00:44:33 I do. I do, man. I miss it. I wanted Radio City Music Hall so bad. It was supposed to be March this year, and we have to keep postponing it. We have to wait until New York opens up so but i am getting ready to go on tour i'm doing the you know social distance tour and uh you know there are certain states that are allowing like 30 capacity right now so i'm getting ready to do
Starting point is 00:44:56 those cities right now i gotta get on stage man those are the empty so how is that gonna feel place that's pretty much empty i don't care care. I need to get on stage, man. When I did Chappelle's spot, that was a dream. Did you try the mushrooms? Because you told us about some mushrooms. He's got this mushroom drink. No, I didn't do it. But, yeah, we were all gone.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Believe me. What were you on, Joe? What's your drug of choice? Wow, man. If it's not herpes from Angela Yee, it's Charlamagne wants to know what drugs I'm doing. At least I didn't just pin an STD on you. I didn't pin a drug on you.
Starting point is 00:45:31 I asked you. Yeah, yeah. Joe, before your herpes, do you do heroin? Quick question. Exclusive. Are you masturbating on heroin? Quick question. Quick question.
Starting point is 00:45:42 We'll be right back. All right, we got more with Joe Coy. When we come back, don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with comedian Joe Coy.
Starting point is 00:45:56 Charlamagne? What else did you miss out on this year that was going to absolutely take the brand of Joe Coy to another level? You know, we were getting ready to shoot that special. You know, I got a fourth one with Netflix, which is fine because I want to do another one anyways. You know, I feel like this year's a little too soon anyways.
Starting point is 00:46:15 So I want it for 2021. But, you know, the movie, I got the movie with Steven Spielberg's company and we're going to shoot that early 2021. But 2020 was supposed to be the year, but here we go. We're getting ready to do it for 2021. Don't breeze past that. Steven Spielberg.
Starting point is 00:46:32 I know. It's mind-blowing, Charlamagne. Check this out. So we get the call after Coming in Hot comes out, and, you know, it's Amblin, and we go do the, you know, like just the general meeting, and the first thing they say is Steven can't stop talking about you. And I looked at my manager and then I looked at them. I was like, are we talking about the same Steven or is this Steven from accounting?
Starting point is 00:46:52 Cause I don't really care about Steven from accounting. And they're like, no, it's Mr. Spielberg loves your work and he can't wait to work with you. And fast forward to right now, this, this is the movie that's going to happen. So can you tell us what it's about? It's Easter Sunday, man. It's about Easter Sunday, and it's my whole family and what happens during that one day. So they love the story, and I can't wait for the world to see it, man. Congrats, too, for being recognized in San Diego
Starting point is 00:47:19 with your own day in honor of Filipino American History Month. Man, Charlamagne, you are, you're really touching my heart. I'm proud of you, Joe. I know, but for the, but thank you, Angela, but usually it's Angela and Envy that praise me, and it's usually you that shoots me completely down. That is not
Starting point is 00:47:37 f***ing true, Joe. And I'm speaking, and Charlamagne, I'm speaking on behalf of every guest on your show. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. It's just nothing you haven't heard before, but that's everyone on your show. So thank you so much, Charlamagne. Well, I'm doing this because, you know, being that you're preparing to go perform in front of 30% of audiences, it's only going to be 30% of an interview that we actually do today.
Starting point is 00:48:02 So it's going to be short. So I'm just getting all of this out the way now. That's all. Only when you talk, Charlamagne, do I masturbate. So I just want that to be in your head right now. I want you to always remember that. Only when I
Starting point is 00:48:17 spoke to him, he began to masturbate. So just keep that in your head, Charlamagne. Remember that. Every time you eat something, go, man, this looks like Joe's d*** right now. And it is. It is. And that's all for you, Charlamagne. How do we always
Starting point is 00:48:34 get the penises? How? Because it's him! I don't say nothing about d***, Joe. Charlamagne, every interview, it's you. You're the one that bring up d***. I looked at his set list before, Angela, and it usually says, like, political, and then it says personal, and then it quotes ****.
Starting point is 00:48:51 It always says ****. It's very mean. You know, Joe's got a book coming out called **** Plate. What? It's called what? It's called what? It's called Big Plate of B****. And it's me.
Starting point is 00:49:09 It's a picture of me holding a plate with a bunch of b**** on it like this. How do we get here every time? It's called Mixed Plate. There you go. Mixed Plate. That's the name of the book. There you go. Mixed Plate.
Starting point is 00:49:21 Mixed Plate of b****. When's that coming out, Joe? Next March. Next March. Tell us about the book. When's that coming out, Joe? Next March. Next March. Tell us about the book. What's the book about? It's about me. It's my family.
Starting point is 00:49:30 It took me two and a half years to write this thing, man. I'm not going to lie. I didn't really write it. So I don't even want to get caught, Angela. I'm just going to tell the truth. I didn't write this damn thing. It was an hour and a half sessions every other week, and I talked. I was naked half the time, and he wrote it for me, and it was great.
Starting point is 00:49:54 Make sure you reread it, man. Yes, 100. We already did, man. You're right, though, about that. I'm like, yo, this chapter isn't about my life. This is the guy that wrote it's life right here. Did you really have to go back and be like, okay, this chapter isn't about my life. This is the guy that wrote it's life right here. I'm not even. Did you really have to go back and be like, okay, this is an exaggeration or we got to take this out.
Starting point is 00:50:11 This didn't really happen like that. It was a lot of me digging deep and being scared to tell the story. Actually, I was scared. There was a couple of times where I'm like, I think I'm telling too much here. Give us an example. You know, I talk about my brother, you know, and that's really personal. So I've told Charlamagne about that, too, when Charlamagne came out about therapy.
Starting point is 00:50:32 And I told him what I was dealing with with my brother and how I have to, you know, deal with a lot of deep personal stuff. And therapy helps me a lot to cope with, you know, knowing that my brother is in that situation. And it hurts. It hurts to, like, you know, knowing that my brother is in that situation. And it hurts. It hurts to, like, you know, tell someone I have a brother, and then they're like, you got a brother? Like, you know, because I keep it a secret for, like, my whole life. I haven't told anyone that I have a brother, and that hurts my soul. And it hurts my soul when he calls me,
Starting point is 00:51:00 and we can't have a real conversation because he's dealing with, you know, his mental issue right now. But you just want to speak to him just to, you know, just to let him feel. How's he doing now? How's he doing? It's tough. He's always going to need medical assistance and it hurts. It really, really does hurt because he, you know, Charlamagne, when, when, when you, when you have that disorder, there's a window every now and then that opens and and it's Robert. You know? And when that brief second opens, you cherish that second, and you have this cool little conversation.
Starting point is 00:51:30 It'll probably be about a minute long, and you know it's Robert, and then boom, it closes, and then it's somewhere else. And that's when you're just like, damn it. And that's what really f***ed with you, because it's like a tease. Because for that brief moment, you're back with your brother again. Yeah, man. It feels good, because it's like a tease. Because for that brief moment, you're back with your brother again. Yeah, man. It feels
Starting point is 00:51:46 good because he's the best lapper. The way he jokes is amazing. I even feel like, oh, I got my comedy from him, you know? And then it'll close right away. And then it's, you know, he's talking about working for the CIA and doing some
Starting point is 00:52:01 investigations. And you just got to listen to it, you know? I've given too much already. I'm sorry, but that's the kind of stuff I have to go through, and not too many people know that I go through that. Were you worried about writing your book, and you started thinking about stuff that you did in your past or said in your past, and you was like, I don't know if I should add this because I could get canceled.
Starting point is 00:52:22 It was more the Robert story that I was kind of like, because I go way back. It was more the Robert story that I was kind of like, because I go way back to when it all happened. So like when he was like 10, 11 years old and those are those vivid memories, you know, Envy? It's like those are like burnt inside my brain for some reason. I remember it so vividly before any other story about my brother. It's those times when the cops came and when the, you and when the ambulance came. And those are just burnt in my brain forever. And it's just like pouring that out, that was tough.
Starting point is 00:52:52 It was a lot of tears on that one. Is it therapeutic though? It is. Like I said, Charlamagne, when you came out and said that, man, like really, like, you know, when someone says something publicly, but you feel like they're talking to you, like that's how I felt. You know, but you feel like they're talking to you, like, that's how I felt.
Starting point is 00:53:05 You know, that's why when I said that to you, like, I wasn't like trying to, you know, smoke. Yeah. I wasn't trying to you off like we normally do, which is something we enjoy. True. We both enjoy that Charlamagne. It is very true.
Starting point is 00:53:18 You guys Charlamagne off on his knees. And I don't know if you guys remember that, but he came clean. I heard. Yeah. We found out. And ever since that interview, I've been off on his knees. And I don't know if you guys remember that, but he came clean. I heard. Yeah, I heard. Yeah, we found out. And ever since that interview, I've been off on my knees. So we have this connection now. We do it together.
Starting point is 00:53:31 We do it together. Sometimes we'll FaceTime, but who holds the phone? That's right. We do it together. We call it our. But I but honestly, though, I felt like you were talking to me, man. And it takes a lot to tell people that publicly that you need therapy. So, you know, when you did that, and I was like, okay, Charlamagne's open about it. I could be open about it.
Starting point is 00:53:54 All right, we got more with Joe Coy. When we come back, don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with comedian Joe Coy.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Charlamagne? Are you concerned about what's going to happen after November 3rd? Or on November 3rd? Of course. Who is it? Are you voting for Trump again this time? Yeah, me, Ice Cube, and 50 Cent are having a party. True.
Starting point is 00:54:20 I'm sorry Ice Cube and 50 Cent has left. Cube is just presenting a black agenda, and he's presenting it to whatever party is interested in it. That's all. He's just engaging on both sides. Yes, but if you vote now, I will send this to everyone.
Starting point is 00:54:35 What is that? That's you. Joe Coy, you popping. Why you ain't sending that out to him, Joe? I will right now. Where's the clothes you said you was sending me? It's at your mailbox. Have you ever checked it?
Starting point is 00:54:48 Or is there 10 cars in front of it? Yeah, Joe Cor, you feel it's crazy that he won't purchase those items in support? Joe Cor, you said I'm going to send you your clothes. Send me your signs. I did. I sent you everything. I'm going to look. Man, you are a liar.
Starting point is 00:55:02 And you've always been a liar. I didn't see. Man, you are a liar and you've always been a liar. I didn't see. No, but you do. Like, I know each character on The Breakfast Club has a certain identity and, you know, Angela's very, you know, she's positive. She's informative.
Starting point is 00:55:18 She knows the no of what's happening now. Charlamagne talks about **** and he also lets you know that he hates you. Like, he always and he also lets you know that he hates you. Like, he always makes sure to let you know that I hate you. I love you, Joe.
Starting point is 00:55:29 I do. I love you, too. And then, Envy, you're a liar. Like, you always lie. He does lie a lot, Joe. You do lie a lot, Envy. And he does like b**** for no reason.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Like, yesterday, yo, listen. The other day, he lied about two things. Cardi B was on. What was Cardi talking about, Yee? Oh, she was talking about her nipples being you know, because from breastfeeding that her nipples were
Starting point is 00:55:49 Now listen to this lie, Joe. That happens to me too. I did not say that. That's not what I said. Well, Envy does have a lot of kids and I'm sure he has to help out. My kid knows. You know what? It's a buffer. It's a buffer nipple before the real nipple. So, like,
Starting point is 00:56:07 it lets the baby start to suck and then when the real is ready, then he moves it on. So, it's like, you're a fluffer. You're a fluffer.
Starting point is 00:56:15 I'm a fluffer. Oh, good. Okay, listen, we're almost up to the 30%. Where can I find that Joe Coy doll? That's right. I can't.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Well, you know what I'm going to do to that doll? What are you going to do to that doll? I'm going, you ain't trying to get my hands on that doll, Joe. And why did. I can't. Well, you know what I'm going to do to that doll? What are you going to do to that doll? You ain't trying to get my hands on that doll, Joe. And why did you turn it around for him, Joe? What'd you say? Why did you turn the doll around for him? I just wanted you to see.
Starting point is 00:56:33 Well, the back side is the most appealing. Am I right? What does that say? Charlemagne was here? What does that say? What does that say? From the ghetto to the getty. It's my outfit that I wore on the special. Thank you. They gave all of us that jacket.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Yes. I got that. Those are for sale? That dog? Yeah, man. Go to JoeCoy.com or Funko. I'm going to order 69 of them right now. Back to Hawaii.
Starting point is 00:57:03 I was supposed to go to Hawaii, but then they shut it down until just recently they just opened back up so when are you going back there by the way he's been traveling she's been out no quarantine for you no sit her ass i'm not married i'm not worried about infecting anybody else in my home yeah it's kind of illegal what you're doing too angela but go ahead spread that spread that new york virus girls like just go she's a super spreader she's a super spreader i bet you i got tested more than both
Starting point is 00:57:33 of y'all no i think you're a liar okay i think you're a liar i think you got tested once you just want us to believe you because you're so innocent and pure. I think you're a liar. I think you're going to go to Hawaii fully infected. Didn't you have to get tested as soon as you got there? I just did a TV show where I'm hosting this competition. And we got tested three times sometimes a week, two to three times a week. And even in Yellow Springs, as soon as you get there, and I went twice.
Starting point is 00:58:04 And then I just hosted something for Dame and John. I got tested to even be able to go there a week. And even in Yellow Springs, as soon as you get there, and I went twice, and then I just hosted something for Dame and John. I got tested to even be able to go there a couple of days ago. And before you travel, some places you have to get tested. Like if you go to Hawaii, you have to get tested and submit the test results before you can even go.
Starting point is 00:58:17 Yeah. Have you gotten tested? I've gotten tested about eight times. Angela, don't let us catch you in a lie. If this goes public, that you're positive wherever you land, you're going to look so stupid. You're going to look so stupid.
Starting point is 00:58:31 Because you're telling the world that you've been tested, and then you end up in Mexico, and it's all over TMZ. Angela Yee comes to Mexico positive, and then all of Mexico hates you. My pastor is retired now, so I can't go to Mexico. But even to come back to work, we have to get tested. Although they haven't recently. I know Charlamagne is never going to get tested. I got tested, but that was what Angela was talking about.
Starting point is 00:58:53 It was on September 9th. Yeah. And I'm scared to come around y'all. I got tested twice between then. Last week with my daughter and I got tested. I definitely got tested top of October. I got tested twice between then. Yeah, I got tested last week with my daughter, and I got tested. I definitely got tested top of October. Yeah, I got tested twice.
Starting point is 00:59:08 Because I had to film something. Top of October, you got tested. It's only October 20th. You definitely have it right now. That is a lie, Joe Coyne. You got it. You got it. Charlamagne has it, and I'm going to put it out there.
Starting point is 00:59:21 I'm a betting man. I'm a betting man. I'm from Vegas. Out of the three of you, I guarantee Charlamagne has it, and I'm going to put it out there. I'm a betting man. I'm a betting man. I'm from Vegas. Out of the three of you, I guarantee Charlamagne's got it. Charlamagne got COVID right here, right around his lips. You just want to bring attention to your handlebar mustache. Knock it off.
Starting point is 00:59:40 My goodness. Have you been dating during coronavirus? No. So you haven't met anybody? No online dating? Nothing? Him and Charlamagne masturbate with each other. That's what they do.
Starting point is 00:59:53 Yeah, that's dating enough for me. You know what I mean? I get whatever I need from that conversation with Charlamagne, and then we move on. I don't like how you're judging us, Joe. I don't like how they're judging us either, Angela. I just said, have you been dating? I don't know that masturbating together on facetime is a date you can consider that a date it's physical it's bonding it's bonding yep uh it's nurturing it's the same thing as dating
Starting point is 01:00:18 no i can't i don't i i think i'm so hyper focused with what's going on right now i don't want anything to derail it i'm enjoying what's happening with going on right now. I don't want anything to derail it. I'm enjoying what's happening with my life right now. So I don't know, man. I just, I'm just not willing to, I don't know. Risk it all. Yeah, I don't want to give that energy right now. I need to save all this energy right now for what I've worked so hard for. And I need to concentrate on this right now.
Starting point is 01:00:42 Especially for what's about to happen for you, Joe. The Steven Spielberg movie. Absolutely. Thank you. I'm so happy for you. You got a lot of great things happening. Nobody has my clothes up here, Joe, but we'll let it slide.
Starting point is 01:00:51 I'll go order my own. Your book dropping next year. Thank you. I sent a box out, Envy. I swear to God, move the 99 BMW away from the mailbox. The 1952 Sherman tank. Get that out of the way. There is a mailbox at the end of your driveway.
Starting point is 01:01:21 If you just move your 1963 bug. Joe, we appreciate you for checking in, man. We're so proud of you and happy for you, Joe. We're proud of you, Joe. I love you guys, man. Thank you so much for everything. I love you guys. Love you too, man. Keep working.
Starting point is 01:01:31 Thank you, boss. Everybody, it's DJ, Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Hold on one second, guys. Out to the general insurance. I got to read something for the general. They're giving some money away, and I got to let General Insurance. I gotta read something for the General. They're giving some money away and I gotta let people know. We need to know. Hold on.
Starting point is 01:01:50 You don't sound too confident. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. Here we go. Is this the part where the General says save some time? No, I'm not. But they want to pay your bills. You can win $1,000 towards your expenses thanks to General. Now, all you gotta do is to get a lot for a little is hit up the website, thegeneral.com today and you could possibly win $1,000 towards your bills,
Starting point is 01:02:08 or you could go to breakfastclubonline.com to enter and get rules. Now, let's get to the rumors. Go to the General and save some time. Let's talk Tory Lanez. This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee. Rumor has it. On Breakfast Club. So listen up. So Tory Lanez has took into Instagram Live to tell his side of the story.
Starting point is 01:02:31 Well, I don't know if it's really his side of the story because nobody is still saying what happened that night. Basically, what he did was kind of pick apart what Megan Thee Stallion said. Now he talks about this whole, you know, black women's narrative. And he said he does support black women. Here's what he had to say. He's this guy who doesn't protect black women. And he's this guy who, but it's like, he's this guy who doesn't care about black women. That's what the narrative is now switching to and certain things like that.
Starting point is 01:02:56 And it's like, hold on. When have I not showed out for black women? Every single one of my videos, the lead girl is black. I made five chicks tapes about black love about a black relationship about a ghetto relationship like that all right now he also disputes megan the stallion story but he does say that they're still friends when this whole uh debacle came about the whole time it's like she knows what happened i know what happened and we know that what you're saying and what the alleged things
Starting point is 01:03:26 and the alleged accusations of my name is are not true. I don't ever want to come off like I'm here to bash this girl or I'm here to talk down about this girl or ever be at a place where I'm disrespecting her because to me as a person, she's still my friend. No matter what, even if she doesn't look at me like that, I look at her like she's still my friend. You guys are not friends.
Starting point is 01:03:46 But I also feel like, wouldn't you be mad at somebody and not want to be their friend if they were lying? That's just my thought. All right, now he also says that he was threatened by Roc Nation. When the original report came out,
Starting point is 01:04:01 and it was a TMZ report about this, that, and the third, and there was gunshots, and Kylie Jennerner's house and Tory Lanez goes to jail. They gave you all the facts of the juice of Tory Lanez going to jail and this, that and the third and Megan getting arrested and da da da da. Two days after that, I get a call from Roc Nation that says, yo, we heard you're going to make a statement about what happened. And it'd be in your best interest if you don't make that statement. All right. In addition, he talks about putting out his latest album on the same day as the Breonna Taylor verdict.
Starting point is 01:04:34 People had an issue with that. Here's what he had to say about that date. I don't ever want anybody to ever think that I've been insensitive to Breonna Taylor. I marched nine days straight in Miami for her and George Floyd. I would never, bro, I've mourned this woman as well. And everyone said, listen, we're mourning a black woman today. You dropped an album? How dare the disrespect? Guys, let's bring this back.
Starting point is 01:04:53 That day that I dropped that album, my mom, that was her birthday. And that was also the day she died. So I was also mourning a black woman, my mother. All right, now Tory Lanez also denies that he's ever been abusive. I hate that this is coming off like I'm trying to come for her and whatever cases, but this is what I'm having to endure and watch when I'm knowing certain facts. So it gets to this place where I'm just like, bro, like this is not me. And I don't deserve this. Like I don't to be I don't deserve to have to go through this. Like I never have been
Starting point is 01:05:24 somebody who's had domestic cases. I've never hit no woman. I've never had abusive cases with no woman. You can't pull those type of facts up on me. I don't have those. All right. So there's a lot more to it. And I'm only playing this as his first hand. I know a lot of people have been getting emails and there's been, according to Megan, the Stallions team, a smear campaign against her. I feel like he does have to go to court, so I don't know why he's saying all this on social media right now. But Megan Thee Stallion did write on Twitter,
Starting point is 01:05:52 this N-word genuinely crazy. It feels like she's talking about him. All I know is quarantine radio used to be way more entertaining than that. Okay? And Tori is telling us everything except for what happened. Tori put out a whole album. He did an IG Live, all that content. He hasn everything except for what happened. Tory put out a whole album. He did an IG Live, all that content
Starting point is 01:06:06 and he hasn't told us what happened. Tory, if you didn't do it, just say what happened. If it didn't happen how Meg said it happened, then what happened? I have no problem
Starting point is 01:06:14 with him telling his side of the story. Just, you know, either say it in a court of law and if you're going to talk as much as he's talking, just say what happened. If he didn't do it,
Starting point is 01:06:22 just say what he did. He had said his own lawyers told him not to talk about it. But you're talking. You're talking about everything except for what actually happened. I don't think he can talk about it. I don't think he can talk about it. What's the point? Listen, if you didn't do it, just say who did.
Starting point is 01:06:38 If it was an accident, say it was an accident. I don't know what the story is, but albums and long-ass IGs about the situation without telling us what actually happened, it's a waste of time. All right. Well, that is your rumor report. All right. Thank you, Miss Yee. Now, Charlamagne, who are you giving that donkey to?
Starting point is 01:06:56 This man named George Daniels. You know where George Daniels is from? Guess. Just guess. He's from Florida. Oh, boy. All right. Can you imagine if your boss said, you know what, I'll tell you, four after the hour.
Starting point is 01:07:09 All right, we'll get into that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same. Hiring is challenging, but there's one place you can go where hiring is simple and smart. That place is ZipRecruiter, where growing businesses connect to qualified candidates. Try it for free at ZipRecruiter.com slash breakfast. ZipRecruiter, the smartest way to hire.
Starting point is 01:07:33 Make sure you tell them to watch out for Florida Man. The craziest people in America come from the Bronx and all of Florida. Yes, you are a donkey. A Florida man attacked an ATM for a very strange reason. It gave him too much money. Florida man is arrested after deputies say he rigged the door to his home
Starting point is 01:07:53 in an attempt to electrocute his pregnant wife. Police arrested an Orlando man for attacking a flamingo. For the breakfast club, bitchy. Donkey of the day. With Charlemagne the guy. I don't know why y'all keep letting him get y'all like this. Well, that's because Florida's crazy, Duval. That's right. That's why. Okay, donkey of the day for Charlemagne the guy. I don't know why y'all keep letting him get y'all like this. Well, that's because Florida's crazy, Duval. That's right.
Starting point is 01:08:06 That's why. Okay, donkey of the day for Wednesday, October 21st goes to George Daniels. Who the hell is George Daniels? Well, he is the president of Daniel Manufacturing in Central Florida. What does your Uncle Charla always say about Florida? The craziest people in America come from the Bronx and all of Florida. That is a fact. And this story is once again more proof.
Starting point is 01:08:25 Now, let me paint the picture for you. George Daniels is a Trump supporter. In fact, a Trump banner is displayed on a flagpole outside of Daniel manufacturing. You already know the type of flag I'm talking about. It's very interesting to me that when you see Biden-Harris signs, they just be small in people's yards. But Trump supporters, they are loud with their support. Big flags, big signs. So you can imagine that this banner, that's what they call it, a banner,
Starting point is 01:08:51 displayed on a flagpole outside of Daniel Manufacturing. You can just imagine what that looks like, okay? I'm not mad at Trump supporters. This is America. You have the right to vote for who you want to vote for. You can support whoever you want to support. If you want to reelect the fascists, cool. I'm not judging. I'm lying. I'm judging the hell out of you. But that's not the point. The point is, George Daniels has a company. I know it's his company, so he's
Starting point is 01:09:12 the boss. He can do what he wants. But when you have a company that has 170 employees, shouldn't you be remaining neutral on matters of politics? Like, I'm sure you have Republicans who work for you, Trump supporters, liberals, Democrats, independents. You probably have a little bit of everyone working at your company. So why make anyone uncomfortable by putting a big old Trump banner in the front of your business, okay? Even though it is Florida, but why? There is a part of me that really misses when people kept their politics to themselves, okay? There was a time where politics, religion, and who's the greatest em greatest MC of all time between Biggie and Pac? There was a time
Starting point is 01:09:45 when we kept those opinions to ourselves because we just didn't want to smoke. We knew it would cause problems, okay? And when it causes the most problems is when people try to force what they believe on you, okay? I can't force my religion on you. I can't force my opinion of Biggie and Pac
Starting point is 01:10:02 on you, and I can't force my politics on you as well, okay? George Daniels of Daniel Manufacturing in Florida, he didn't get that memo. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no. Not only is he encouraging his employees to vote for Trump, he's giving them an ultimatum of sorts. Let's go to WESH NBC2 for the report, please. Some told us they were upset to receive this letter obtained through a company source from DMC President George Daniels, the company which makes tools and electronics for the aerospace, military and aircraft industries. The letter warns if Trump and the Republicans win the election, DMC will hopefully be able to continue operating as it has been operating lately. However, if Biden and the Democrats win,
Starting point is 01:10:47 DMC could be forced to begin permanent layoffs beginning in late 2020 and or early 2021. Stan Smith says the letter, which he considered offensive, is one of the reasons he's quitting. Other workers, who told us they were too afraid to be fired to speak with us, said they felt intimidated by the letter. I checked campaign contributions with the federal government, and George Daniels has contributed just in this election cycle more than $600,000 to President Trump and PACs
Starting point is 01:11:14 that are supporting him and other Republicans. Now, according to news reports, I'm reading this one from News Channel 8 in Florida. It is not against the law for business owners to talk politics with their employees. Keyword, talk politics. Casual conversation. But to send a letter saying that if Trump and the Republicans win the election, then your business will continue
Starting point is 01:11:36 operating. But if Biden and the Democrats win your business, you'll be forced to fire people. Is that real talk or is that unethical? What do you think? What do you think? Unethical. Unethical, right? Okay. I think it's neither. It's Florida.
Starting point is 01:11:51 Alright, that's what happens in Florida. Only in Florida do you go to work and your boss tells you, if you don't vote for Trump, you're fired. God damn it, you know what, Trump? I'm limp now. I'm not even hard no more. What? I'm going to try that again. I'm not even hard no more. What?
Starting point is 01:12:05 What? I'm going to try that again. Okay. I'm looking you dead in your eyes. What just happened? The computer messed up and somehow he went flaccid. I don't know why that's a... All right.
Starting point is 01:12:13 Start over. All right. Okay. Is that real talk or unethical? What do you think, guys? You're fired. God damn it, Drum. Drum!
Starting point is 01:12:25 Follow me here. Okay. This is great. Act three. This is wonderful. Action. Is that real talking unethical? What do you think?
Starting point is 01:12:32 What do you think? Is that real talking unethical? Unethical. Yeah, I think it's neither. I think it's Florida. Okay, that's what happens in Florida. Only in Florida do you go to work and your boss tells you, if you don't vote for Trump, you're fired.
Starting point is 01:12:44 God damn it. Finally. Thank you're fired. God damn it. Finally. Thank you, Trump. Jesus. Sorry. I really want to know how would you play this if you work for this company? Some people say they are quitting. Some people say they didn't want to speak up because they didn't want to be fired. Some folks said they are voting for Trump. All I know
Starting point is 01:12:59 is George Daniels of Daniel Manufacturing, your company makes tools and electronics for the aerospace, military, and aircraft industries. You must have a real monopoly on the marketplace because the same way you want to fire people for not voting for Trump, I wouldn't shop with you because you want to fire people
Starting point is 01:13:16 for not voting for Trump. Okay, one's politics should not cost you a job. Period. Full stop. Now, George Daniels didn't release't release this well he did release a statement let's hear it george daniels declined to be interviewed on camera but told me i have been doing this for years i have an obligation to let workers know what could happen based on the outcome of an election they certainly should vote for the candidate they want i can vote for the candidate i want but if i don't vote for the candidate you want, I'll lose my job.
Starting point is 01:13:47 All I can think when I hear this story is, living in Florida is a choice. Okay? Is the weather in Florida really worth this? Yeah, it is. It is. But please give George Daniels the sweet sounds of the Hamilton's.
Starting point is 01:14:00 Oh, now you are the donkey of the day. You are the donkey of the day. Yee-haw. Sidebar, wasn't George Daniels R. Kelly's manager for a while?
Starting point is 01:14:22 Also? That's a different George Daniels. Okay, just checking. Okay, Yee. All right. Up next is Ask Yee. 800-585-1051. If you need advice, relationship advice, or any type of advice, call Yee now.
Starting point is 01:14:40 The number again is 800-585-1051. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. What, what, what, what, what, what you want to know? Baby mama issues? Need some words of wisdom? Call up now for Ask Ye. 800-585-1051.
Starting point is 01:14:53 The Breakfast Club. Come on, mom. Need relationship advice? Need personal advice? Just need real advice. Call up now for Ask Ye. Keep it real. Morning, everybody.
Starting point is 01:15:08 It's DJ Envy, Angela Ye, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Now, let's get to some Ask Ye. 800-585-1051. If you got questions for Ye, you can call her right now. Hello, who's this? Yo, this is Mike. Mike, what's up, man?
Starting point is 01:15:23 What's your question for Ye? What's up? So, I is Mike. Mike, what's up, man? What's your question for you? So, I just started a new job or whatever, but I used to own a business in Chicago. I'm in Las Vegas now, and I was thinking about restarting it up, but I got a two-year-old now,
Starting point is 01:15:40 so it's a little bit different. I can't really afford to just take too many risks right now, so I'm calling calling really asking. Go ahead, I'm listening. What kind of business? I was just asking. I sell furniture online, basically.
Starting point is 01:15:53 But I started off doing it as a delivery driver, and I ended up taking him, using him as my distributor, starting my own company, business license, EIN09. But it's basically just selling furniture online without the actual store. So most of it was delivery, cash on delivery, that type of thing. But I just post ads online. And when I started the business, I was doing $10,000 a month in sales.
Starting point is 01:16:14 And that's starting with $0. Like $0 is just the idea and just posting ads and hustling. So that's the idea of it right there. Okay, so you can't have a job and also start this business again online? That is a good option. I mean, honestly, I'm doing like crazy hours.
Starting point is 01:16:33 And like I said, with a two-year-old, I barely even got time for sleep at this point. And you know what else, too? I would say this because it's an interesting time for starting a business. I'm actually starting a new business right now too. And, um, are you doing this all by yourself or have you, do you have any partners?
Starting point is 01:16:53 See that? I'm not gonna lie. That's the tricky part. Cause in Vegas, I don't have nobody. So I really, and in Chicago, when I did in Chicago,
Starting point is 01:17:01 I was doing it with all my homies. I was putting them on, paying them for delivery and everything. It was a good little system, but I don't have it in Chicago, I was doing it with all my homies. I was putting them on, paying them for delivery and everything. It was a good little system, but I don't have nobody here. So the whole idea is really to move back there. And I'm not really sure if that's something I want to do either. But it is an online business right now. Was there anybody that you feel like that was one of your peoples
Starting point is 01:17:20 that you put on back in Chicago that you feel like could really step up to the plate and go hard and actually Yes, yes, yes. That is amazing. That would be amazing. So why not have a conversation and see if, and why not see if, you never know, if somebody is
Starting point is 01:17:37 like-minded like you and they have some type of interest in the business and a stake in it, that would also take some of the work off your plate so everything wouldn't fall on you. You've already worked with this person. So you know what their work ethic is and maybe they would be willing to come out there too and put in that work with you. So you don't, I think a lot of times we feel like we have to start a business by ourselves and not have help from anybody. And it is important for us to realize that everything doesn't have to be only on you. And it's great when you guys have different skill sets that you can bring to the table so that can really
Starting point is 01:18:06 balance each other out. Thank you. I'm going to have a good night, man. Damn, John. I'm still disheveled. I wanted to at least get the man's website so we could see the furniture. That could have really helped him. That was Dan, for the record.
Starting point is 01:18:20 Producer Dan came in here fingering my buttons. Whoa! I was right here. I didn't smell anything. Well, to our friend Mike, who was just on the line, if you could send us your website for your furniture business so we could at least see it, that could be helpful for your business as well. Goodness gracious.
Starting point is 01:18:42 All right. Ask Yee. 800-585-1051. If you need relationship advice or any type of advice, call Yee now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:18:53 Get some real advice with Angela Yee. It's Ask Yee. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We're in the middle of Ask Yee.
Starting point is 01:19:03 Hello, who's this? What's going on? This is Dustin from Detroit. What's up, bro? What's your question for Yee? Me and my girl, things are going well. I'm confident this is the woman I'm going to marry, so we've been having conversations about, you know,
Starting point is 01:19:18 future kids and the names and stuff like that, and she grew up with more culturally diverse names, and I want to name my son after me, and she doesn't want that. She wants a more ethnic, more black name. What's your name? Dustin.
Starting point is 01:19:35 It's not something that I'm going to break up with her over, but it's something I feel strongly about. And she thought, well, it needs to be a discussion, but she just told me no. There's no discussion there, and I feel strongly about it, and I don't want to let it go. Right. And I'm sure you both do. You know, is this your first kid?
Starting point is 01:19:56 Well, we don't have any kids yet, but it's on the way. Oh my gosh. Here's the deal. If it's a boy, then you name it. If it's a girl, she gets to name the girl. And she can pick the middle name. That's the deal. If it's a boy, then you name it. If it's a girl, she gets to name the girl. And she can pick the middle name. That's not how this works. For her first kid, if she got to carry it for nine months,
Starting point is 01:20:14 she don't want to have no say. So I just told her I don't need to be the son. You guys got to come to some type of agreement. Can she pick the middle name? Or can Dustin be his middle name? That's what it comes to. I want the first name to be Dustin, but I mean... Well, y'all gonna have to compromise and have this discussion somehow
Starting point is 01:20:31 if it's super important to you, because I get it. Right? And, you know, I understand it's not easy, and I think you guys gotta just I think come to a compromise. Are you okay? Or did you suggest to her perhaps she picks a middle name? She doesn't want a European first name.
Starting point is 01:20:52 Bro, she's not even pregnant. She's not pregnant, right? No, no. I think, I really do think a good compromise is if we have a boy, I name the boy. If we have a girl,
Starting point is 01:21:01 you name the girl. I think that's a dope compromise because y'all not having a kid yet. If we have a girl, you name the girl. I think that's a dope compromise because y'all not having a kid yet. This is just preliminary discussions, you know, and then if it's a girl, you pick the middle name. If it's a boy, she picks the middle name. Right. I mean, I'll try to go with that,
Starting point is 01:21:16 but hey, she Puerto Rican. She hard-headed. She don't listen. And then maybe y'all would just have a bunch of girls. That's what I'm hoping for. Yep. And then you won't even have to worry about girls. That's what I'm hoping for. Yep. And then you won't even have to worry about it. And you can name your daughter Dustin. My goodness.
Starting point is 01:21:30 All right. Thank you, brother. All right. Thank you. How do y'all decide who, like, what if you can't stand the name the other person wants? What do you do? And then what is your name? I mean, for me, Gia usually picks the names.
Starting point is 01:21:42 And then, you know, we go through the names. But Gia usually picks, like, a bunch of a bunch of names. But what if you were like adamant that you wanted a Rashawn Jr.? I definitely don't want it. I didn't want a Rashawn Jr. All our kids, all my daughter's names have been collaborations. Like, you know, like me and my wife, like that's a serious thing
Starting point is 01:21:58 to name a child, but we did that together. But imagine if you wanted a junior, because there's some guys that really want to name their son after them and keep that going There's like the first, the second, the third You know, what are you supposed to do? I've never wanted a Lenard Jr. Yeah, I can't blame you
Starting point is 01:22:13 Shut up! I never wanted a Rashawn Jr. But my wife usually comes with a bunch of names And then we go through the names that she likes Because I'm bad at picking names So y'all didn't have that issue because y'all knew you didn't want that name All y'all do is look at MAPS Envy My wife usually comes with a bunch of names, and then we go through the names that she likes, because I'm bad at picking names. So, Charlamagne. So, y'all didn't have that issue, because y'all knew you didn't want that name for yourself. All y'all do is look at MAPS Envy.
Starting point is 01:22:29 London. Brooklyn. There's a theme, brother. Logan Airport. There's a theme. That's why. There is a theme. Is that where they were conceived?
Starting point is 01:22:38 That's none of your business. There would be two vagases if that was if they were conceived. They had no baby in Brooklyn. Okay, he's from Brooklyn. I was born in Brooklyn, so that's why we decided to do it. No, but he's saying that's not what they were conceived. No. That's what he asked.
Starting point is 01:22:51 Not at all. All right, well, Asky, we got rumors on the way? Yes, and let's talk about this cancel culture. We'll talk about Sada Baby. He just recently blew up with his remix with Nicki Minaj, and now they're pulling up some old tweets. All right, we'll get into that next. Keep it locked're pulling up some old tweets. All right. We'll get into that next.
Starting point is 01:23:06 Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. You've always been a liar. Oh, man. Shout out to Joe Coy for joining us this morning. We talking?
Starting point is 01:23:19 Mm-hmm. Yeah, we on, man. What are you talking about? You good? Oh, hey. How are you? You're a liar, and you've always been a liar, according to
Starting point is 01:23:28 Joe Coy. And we do lie a lot. You do lie a lot. No, I don't. Yes, you do. I don't lie a lot. Just lie it again. I do not lie. I don't know. But anyway, we want to pay your bills. Liar. You're a liar.
Starting point is 01:23:42 And you've always been a liar. Win $1,000 towards your expenses thanks to our partner, The General. Get a lot for a little. The General Insurance. Starting point is 01:24:07 All right. Now let's get to the rumor. Let's talk Sada Baby. It's about time. What's going on? Rumor Report. Rumor Report. This is the Rumor Report.
Starting point is 01:24:17 Talk to them. With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. Well, Sada Baby hit a million followers on Instagram, but unfortunately they pulled up some old tweets. Now, y'all know I'm a fan of Sada Baby, but these tweets are pretty offensive. Should I read some of them to you? Sure.
Starting point is 01:24:38 All right. I don't think you can. Some of them. I'm tired of Beyonce. That bitch need to die or something Whoa Whoa I want to
Starting point is 01:24:47 Whoa I want to slip one of my followers Enough I've heard enough A roofie What? Yeah it's pretty bad What?
Starting point is 01:24:55 And you know He did some slurs against gay people He said I hate dark skinned people Now I'm saying this because I want us to address What it is that he said in response Now at first He was saying that he said in response. Now at first he was saying that he doesn't
Starting point is 01:25:08 run his Twitter page so everybody's tweeting they're tweeting to asylum. He said he doesn't even have the Twitter app on his phone and he said y'all can find every and any old tweet in the world for me. I don't care. I'm not even logged into my Twitter and haven't been for months. But then after that he did apologize.
Starting point is 01:25:24 Here's what he said. My first initial response to the tweets on my story, you feel me, may give people the idea that I don't sympathize with females that have been raped or raping situations, which I got to know is I'm almost 30 years old and I don't tweet. Don't got the password to my Twitter, no, none of that. But that's all that you can't judge me on as far as the homophobic tweets i got goddamn homosexuals that work in my label you know i'm saying that's personally working with me you know i'm saying i deal with him two three times out the month in person in real life for a week at a time you know i'm saying dealing with uh my career yeah i mean listen those tweets all cringe absolutely but how old was how the baby when he sent those tweets he
Starting point is 01:26:03 said he's 39 so how old was he then he said he sent those tweets? He said he's 30 now. So how old was he then? He said he's not 30 yet. So it was about nine, 10 years ago that these tweets came out. So he was a teenager. 17, 18? Yeah, 17, 18 years old. Okay. So when he tweeted.
Starting point is 01:26:15 All right, now here's the apology. All that shit was just some old shit from when he was young and just wilding out. I don't stand on none of them views. Them views is not Kasada of today. You feel me? I'm a grown, different, whole type of man. And to understand that like that is not acceptable. You understand what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:26:33 So I'm apologizing for my old views or any type of tweets that I said from back in the day. And I hope nobody hold no grudges on me. You know what I'm saying? And you feel me? We just going to keep it pushing and we going to respect each other as such. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? You feel me? We just gonna keep it pushing and we gonna respect each other as such. Yeah, you gotta get the brother some grace. He was young back then. He said it's not acceptable. He understands
Starting point is 01:26:52 when the tweets were foul. He apologized. You got to give the brother some grace. You have to acknowledge that folks grow. I don't know him. I don't listen to him, so I don't know what he puts out there now, but he said some wild inappropriate stuff back in the day. He apologized for it. He said he's grown from it.
Starting point is 01:27:06 You got to give him some grace. You got to. Yeah, I was going to DM him and be like, look, you need to just apologize because at first he wasn't, and then, you know, listen, that's all you can do is acknowledge that you were wrong and say, I am sorry, like, that was wrong.
Starting point is 01:27:19 Even I am shocked reading this now. And then the best apology is always change behavior, right? And also, too, you know, I often say your past, you know, you can forgive, but it's the pattern you can't rock with. You can forgive somebody for something they did in the past, but if it's a pattern that they're still doing now, I can't rock with that. But, I mean, if the man says he's grown and he's evolved, you got to give him some grace.
Starting point is 01:27:41 Y'all humans going to learn to start giving other humans the grace you want God to give you. All right. Now, Young Buck's girlfriend allegedly fired a gun at him during an argument in Tennessee. They were at home and she at some point allegedly picked up a firearm and let off a few rounds. So there is an image. Somebody says they witnessed the incident and they said it's unclear if anybody was struck by gunfire or where she was aiming, but she was arrested and booked for reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
Starting point is 01:28:09 Now, the other way around, Young Buck would be getting crucified right now in the media. So it should be the same energy, right? Yeah, you cannot be firing somebody. There's a picture of her shooting at somebody. That's crazy. Yeah, I don't think anybody thinks it's a positive thing at all. I don't feel the energy. Timbaland and Swiss Beats have made a huge announcement about Versus Season 2.
Starting point is 01:28:33 And one person that they already know that is going to compete and wants to compete is Busta Rhymes. Now, here he is talking to Fat Joe. T.I. is a legend, king of the South. Would you battle or celebration of hip-hop, of music, T.I. on verses? From one brother that loves you to my brother that knows I love him, I'm begging you to step in the ring with me. I'm going to bust your ass. And let me tell you something.
Starting point is 01:29:01 Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. We're going to do it with grace. But I'm going to bust your ass. Come on, T.I. Let's have fun. Busta Rhymes is phenomenal. One of the greatest performers of all time.
Starting point is 01:29:14 But he don't want no smoke musically with T.I. That's not even a good matchup. Like, Versus, don't get goofy on us in season two now. Busta versus Missy is the matchup. Busta versus T.I., that's a terrible matchup, bro. Yeah, I don't think that's a great matchup. I mean, I think Buster and Missy will be great. I just
Starting point is 01:29:31 don't see this matchup. And what happened to the concept? Didn't they say Buster and Missy were supposed to go back and forth? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. That's supposed to be behind the scenes, man. See, I can't tell you nothing behind the scenes, man. Well, I don't be knowing why I be hearing this stuff. That's why I stopped you, man. Oh, I thought that was public information. No.
Starting point is 01:29:46 I just be listening. See? Both of y'all be running your mouths. I don't be knowing. I'm not supposed to say nothing. Don't say nothing around me then. I just want to say, just like Reason said on his album, y'all make gossip more than we do. I love a good gossip.
Starting point is 01:29:59 I don't know if he really said that. I'm not going to lie. I do love some good tea. You know what's so funny? That story we told earlier this week. What was that story? Who was it? Ryan Henry?
Starting point is 01:30:07 Ryan Henry, yeah. Oh, yes. I discussed that about seven more times this week. What's wrong with you, man? I told you. With men and women. Oh, my gosh. Men can sit there and lie and act like they don't like some good tea,
Starting point is 01:30:18 but that was some good tea. You hear me? At first, he was acting very uninvolved. No, I was fronting. I don't know who Ryan Henry is. I don't want to know this story. I was. I know, I was fronting. I don't know who Ryan Henry is. I don't want to know this story. I was fronting. I was fronting.
Starting point is 01:30:29 But it was good. You go, girl. You liked it too, Envy. Oh. Okay. Anyway, that is your rumor report. Anything, any last gossip things you need to know about Charlamagne? No, I just want to know who do y'all think would win in a Buster T.I. matchup?
Starting point is 01:30:45 Hypothetically, even though I think it's a terrible matchup. And I think T.I. wins that easily. What do y'all think? Ye? I'm going to say T.I. I think so, too. I would think. Envy?
Starting point is 01:30:58 But this is different. I also feel like it's just different. Like, the genres. It's not even. That's what I'm saying. I just don't even. It's not even a good matchup. Because can you do leaders in a new school? Can you play leaders It's not even, that's what I'm saying. I just don't even. It's not even a good matchup. Because can you do leaders of the new school?
Starting point is 01:31:07 Can you play leaders of the new school? That's what I said yesterday. I said, can we do leaders of the new school? Because that's really digging further back. And I don't know that you could compare any of that to. Exactly. I personally love all that stuff, but that's just not good in a battle versus TI. No.
Starting point is 01:31:20 Jerome, what do you think? Because Envy scared Dancer. What do you think? I said Buster. You didn't hear me? I said Buster. No, I did not hear it. Say it with your chest. I said Buster. You don't even mean that. What do you think? Because Envy scared Dancer. What do you think? I said Busta. You didn't hear me? I said Busta. No, I did not hear it. Say it with your chest.
Starting point is 01:31:26 I said Busta. You don't even mean that. What do you think, Jaron? I say T.I. Busta and DMX would actually have been a good one, I feel like, energy-wise. Oh. Remember when Charlamagne and Busta almost got into an altercation? Hey, let's not talk about the past.
Starting point is 01:31:37 Why are we talking about the past? I remember that person. So you still making jokes about that all these years later? I almost got into an altercation because of that. She was making jokes at the time it was happening. I was. She's laughing at the time it was going down. I was drunk.
Starting point is 01:31:49 Busta Rhyme at me like a dungeon dragon, and she's thinking it's funny. The funniest part of the whole incident that happened was that it was at Nobu, and the person that broke up the fight was Boo, Akon's brother. And somebody said- It wasn't a fight. The real question is, why is Boo at a restaurant called No Boo? My goodness.
Starting point is 01:32:12 That is a great question. He's obviously not welcome. It clearly says No Boo. Alright. Revolt, we'll see you tomorrow. Everybody else, the People's Choice mixes up next. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:32:29 The Breakfast Club. Your mornings will never be the same. What up, y'all? It's DJ Envy here. From my experience at an historically black college and university, I know that homecoming is a big deal. With the cancel this year, we decided to bring the celebration to you. With HBCU Homecoming
Starting point is 01:32:46 Party on the Yard. Presented by McDonald's. Hosted by me. McDonald's Black and Positively Golden Movement is about empowering the next generation of black leaders through initiatives like our HBCU programs that are positively shaping communities. Watch our HBCU Homecoming Party on the Yard. Presented by
Starting point is 01:33:02 McDonald's on Thursday, November 12th. DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Now, um, we gotta shout out... Can we represent for Brooklyn? Hold on, let's shout out Joe Coy for joining us this morning, man. Oh, yes, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:33:17 What you wanna do for Brooklyn? Joe Coy sent me a message yesterday, because I guess he sent y'all a package and didn't send me one, so then he gonna hit me talking about where should I send it. Little late, Joe Coy. Nah, he said the same thing to me. He texted me the same thing. Oh, no, he sent mine.
Starting point is 01:33:30 Liar. All right. Oh, you know what? Also, I got a shout out to, we all know $2 Steve. Yes, sir. $2 Steve, who's an attorney. His son died tragically.
Starting point is 01:33:42 His son, Noah. Oh, no, man. Yeah, Noah Reisman. I'm sorry. That's awful. Reisman. He sent me. I spoke to him yesterday.
Starting point is 01:33:50 They have like a fun, I guess, in memory of him and all the work that he's done. He was such a good kid. He was only 26 years old. Damn. He dedicated his life to give him back. He went to Dartmouth College. He was currently a second year at Columbia Law. They said, you know, he was a young man. He was just kind, generous, outgoing, funny,
Starting point is 01:34:08 compassionate. He tried to help Hillary Clinton win. He was just a good person. So they have a fund where they're going to continue to give money in his name. So shout to $2 Steve. Let me text my guy $2 Steve. What's the fund so we know? If you go to, his name is Noah Reisman, R-E-I-S-M-A-N. If you just Google that name, the fund comes right up. And $2 Steve, if you don't know who $2 Steve is, he's an attorney who, if you see him, he gives the world $2 bills just as positivity. He gives out money all day long.
Starting point is 01:34:39 Such a good dude, a good soul. Great brother. Even during the quarantine, he gives me a box of food. I mean, he's just a good dude, a good soul. Great brother. Even during the quarantine, he used to be a box of food. I mean, he's just a good dude, man. I think every year he takes out $30,000 worth of $2 bills out of the bank just to give them to people. Wow. I think it's more than that.
Starting point is 01:34:54 That's my guy. That's what he told me. Lose the $2, Steve. I got so many $2 bills in my drawers. You're supposed to give those away to people. You know that. Oh, I didn't know what I was supposed to do with them. I don't even know what to do.
Starting point is 01:35:04 Yeah, you're supposed to pay it forward and like give people randomly and it cheers people up so much because I've done it like with his $2 bills. You go to a restaurant and when you leave the tip, also leave that $2 bill with it and people are always like you know, excited to have a $2 bill. You hold on to it. Gotcha. Steve is such a
Starting point is 01:35:19 real giving person. He's a real giving person. Sleuth to him. I love Steve. So y'all was just hoarding the $2 bills? Yeah, I got a bunch of person. Sleuth to him. I love Steve. Yeah. So y'all was just hoarding the $2 bills? Yeah, I got a bunch of $2 bills in the crib. I just keep them. Me too. Y'all pay it forward, guys.
Starting point is 01:35:31 I am. Now that you told us. Yeah, now that I know. All right. And I also want to make sure I represent for Biggie this morning. You know, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is going to welcome Christopher Wallace to the prestigious ranks of nearly 400 legendary musicians. And Pepsi is actually celebrating the notorious B.I.G.

I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records. Executive produced by Quest Love, The Story Pirates, and John Glickman, Historical Records brings history to life through hip-hop. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history. Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing. Check it. Did you know I wouldn't give up my seat nine months before Rosa? It was called a woman.
Starting point is 01:39:51 Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to historical records. Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise. Listen to historical records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
