Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Chetty on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Introducing IVF disrupted, the kind body story. A podcast about a company that promised to revolutionize for. fertility care. It grew like a tech startup. While Kind Body did help women start families, it also left
Starting point is 00:02:02 behind a stream of disillusioned and angry patients. You think you're finally like in the right hands. You're just not. Listen to IvyF Disrupted, the Kind Body Story on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Trap nerds, trap nerds, real n** like you never hurt. Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome to another exciting episode of the trap nerds podcast how's it going guys dray how's your week
Starting point is 00:02:30 going it's the trap nurse back again spin hell of nerd shit we will we begin I don't know hollow what's dead I'm still spooky spooky
Starting point is 00:02:43 it's the spooky month so we admit to the murders that we did like that last summer I did murder nobody Oh, so we still lying about it. I know what you did last summer. I know what you did.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Hi-yo. What's what I did right now? What are you waiting for? No, that's a scream. Is that scream over there? That's scary movie. That's scary. Oh, my God, nigga.
Starting point is 00:03:10 That's scream. It's scary movie. I get that. Remember what you did the scary movie and the niggas? I know. Like, but then it's like one in a while. Like, people remember shit for a scary movie before they actually.
Starting point is 00:03:23 remember the actual movie it came from now we're that old that's hilarious but I've been chilling y'all I ain't been doing nothing shout out to goddamn Salty it happened again so I was chilling I was like when I get dying light to
Starting point is 00:03:39 the beast I'm gonna do it but Salty said fuck that check your steam account and I had dying light the beast so I've been running it and shout out to Blick, dark and black gaming guest to the show friend of the podcast Me and him being lucky, just, like, co-opping it. And I would not lie, this game is beautiful as hell.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Like, I'm enjoying it right now, I'm trying to. It's definitely better than dying light, too. But it's one of them, you got guns and shit again. So it's like, it feels good. I'm enjoying it. And, you know, I feel like, what are the tech land? They kind of, they revolutionized. Like, you know, we got Resident Evil zombies.
Starting point is 00:04:20 But now there are, like, tech lands. Zubbies we like they made they kind of reinvented to like zombie landscape when it comes zombie games so I kind of always respect them niggas when it comes like Dead Island and then they just said fuck Dead Island and we're gonna go to dying light wait is that the same company yep yep that's why that's why it took so long for us to get dying light too because they stopped making dying light and made Dead Island but then you know it's like the people I want to say it's one of them Techland made Dead Island but You know, it's that publisher moment.
Starting point is 00:04:54 So it's like, they made the original one, but shit, if I'm not mistaken. Oh, yeah, I didn't know that. Interesting. Yeah, that was both of them. That's why they kind of, like, stayed towards down, like, because they couldn't. They couldn't, it's one of them they couldn't make another dead island. Oh, is it the other way around? Yeah, because they up themselves.
Starting point is 00:05:11 They did that to themself. Yeah. They out did themselves real quick. So it was weird. So, shit, I'm enjoying it, but the way, it's kind of like they finally could you'd off where the first one left off after the DOS season and everything.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Because, you know, like, down light 2 was like 12, 15 years ahead. Like, nigs looked at Kyle Crane. It's like a legend type shit. And it's like, oh shit, this nigga was locked up in a facility getting experimented on the whole
Starting point is 00:05:42 time. Ooh. But it's legit. It's straight. I'm enjoying it right now. The controls. It's like they kind of, because downlight 2, it disappointed me, But I can say they kind of blended the field of the first one with the, like, I guess, new controls of two. And it blended together real nice for this because I'm enjoying it. Then with the co-op, I always respect to them because that's like, you know, zombie games be like the only niggas will actually, like, they care about their co-op.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Like, still, like, to this day, like, then the only news, they got some, like, zombie shit, they're going to make sure the co-op can work. The only thing I don't like right now that is not crossplay, but... There's not a lot of zombie games. Well, that's not true. There are a lot of zombie games. It's a lot of... I would say that there aren't any more recent ones that are that way, that are made that way. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Because I'll probably say the last big, big one to me was where I was he. Yeah. What they actually just cared. I mean, I was probably like the last left for dead-ish. Right. Right. I want a good survival one, man. That's what I'm waiting for.
Starting point is 00:06:49 I need a good survival one. It's, like, I don't know why. When it comes to, like, seven days, what are it, set the seven days to die type shit or, like, day Z, I just don't. It's just feel outdated a little bit to me. Well, it is. I don't. You know, like, how old is that game, man? Like, like, it just, like, we need some, like, I need some, if it had, I say, days gone gameplay with hell of, like, the.
Starting point is 00:07:19 multi-server online capabilities I'd be okay with myself is that asking for too much hell yeah but I think they're got it's okay to like it's okay to dream damn it
Starting point is 00:07:31 look at what the day before did right yes we know what they no they didn't don't lie the day before scammed everyone let's not rewrite history no no I'm saying they tried
Starting point is 00:07:43 they tried with their marketing okay what I'm yeah what I'm by using them is they showed that there is definitely a big market for a survival zombie game. And we just don't have it yet. We just don't have it. Like, because Resident Evil
Starting point is 00:07:59 linear and it's like every open, super open world zombie game, it just feel like I feel like they'd use the PubG engine and just throw zombies in it. I don't know why. No. No. Oh, G's old, bro.
Starting point is 00:08:14 No, you know how it's just like, they just do that big sandbox and throw hell of zombies in it and just give you shit to do. But there's no, like, goal. Yeah, I mean, like seven days to die. I need better, I need more modern seven days to die. That's what I need. I can feel it.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Yeah. Because I'm surprised they never did no, like, super graphic boost for seven days. Not as you say that. I feel like, I don't know, they're coasting. Right. You know how Art Arc did. They, like, super little, like, reborn, like remaster shit. Seven days.
Starting point is 00:08:49 get one of them type shit at least. They deserve it. No, seven days needs to be completely rebooted. Or, not even reboot. Just make a sequel. Make a sequel. Right, that's something. With better mechanics.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Pull the Final Fantasy 14. Like, the seventh day, really the final seventh day or some shit. And then go into a new shit. But, uh, I ain't really been no much. I'm feeling, uh, you know, we started spooky season. So I said, I'm final defense part.
Starting point is 00:09:18 I never play Risen. evil zero so i'm starting my risen evil run and if y'all want to donate to me getting resident evil five and six then the only ones i do not have at the moment but i'm going to start risen evil zero because i never played like the prequel to the uh westka mansion incident so that's gonna be a fun thing uh tony when we starting got you want to start uh left for dead when this episode is right yeah let's do it never we can do like a monday night like a monday night Oh, I mean, we'll plan it after, but no, but the money doesn't know it's good for me. Okay, yeah, we'll figure it up.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Since it's like COVID-Nash, we've got to figure that one now so we can start the left of deck, I'm fine because niggins are saying, hey, if y'all need a third or fourth, let me know. And I was like, big, because you know. What do you mean, guys? We have four people right here. Don't you, don't our fans have faith in the people we have here to show up for our name night? Snacks, Snacks computer be fucking up, but don't tell him I said that. I'm going to try to use the laptop.
Starting point is 00:10:19 I just haven't. I'm actually waiting for this to go out. And then, you know, Baku would just go to sleep. Imagine think I'm going to waste my time paying left for dead. You see what I mean? Baku's just going to go to sleep. It's like, fuck us type of shit.
Starting point is 00:10:35 So shit. Other than that, you know, chilling shout out to everybody that's been just, you know, currently on stream. Fucking with you boy. Other than that, kicking it. I'm on TikTok now. I find started streaming on TikTok, too.
Starting point is 00:10:49 And I realize, like, I hate everybody that try to brag about having hell of followers on TikTok now. Because I streamed for like seven hours of made 36 cents. So now I know everybody that be on TikTok's line. That's how it goes. Unless you just getting like, hell of like give donors from Simps and Sempa-ass people supporting this shit. No, they make a lot of money. I brand deals with stuff on TikTok. See, and that's why if you, yeah, but if you just straight streaming by yourself, hell, no.
Starting point is 00:11:18 The only reason you should be on tip-time because you're getting branded. But I'm mostly, you know, I'm mostly stream. So it's like, oh, my shit's go to each one. So I don't even trip. I'll be watching them lives of them people that be, they have a bag of fish food over a tank. Right.
Starting point is 00:11:32 On some shit. They be having a wild shit. Yeah. So you're one of the people, I see. I'm dead. I always wonder who watched stuff like that. It just showed up. It was just randomly show up on your timeline.
Starting point is 00:11:42 It didn't catch me for like a good five minutes. He just sit there and watch it. Wow, this is so interesting. What's going to happen? I feel like to, which one will the break and the food will fall in the water and the fish eat? I don't know. Because water and fish interest, I don't know. But, yeah, it's weird because, like, the only thing, I, because the current of shit, though, is, like, viewer-wise, if I can have TikTok viewer numbers, how I do on everything else, life would be okay.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Because I realize, people just be hopping in your shit on TikTok. But, yeah, that's all I got for my week so far. I ain't doing shit. I'm trying to still work on the bathroom and shit. I'm kidding me. Well, life is okay. I have a new appreciation for life these days. You almost die.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Some shit, that got deep. What happened? I did, remember? I was in the hospital. Oh, God. You know? Man, nigga, that's like level C. A and spend the die type shit.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Level C. I guess. Let's see. This week, I am almost caught up to the latest expansion in Final Fantasy. I know there are people that play Final Fantasy that listen to us. I finally beat End Walker. Man, what a conclusion to a 10-year story or 11, like...
Starting point is 00:13:00 About 11, 12. Because, dude, it's so good. It really is. Like, I was hooked. As soon as I got to idling people who know, no, no. I was like, oh, things got crazy. and the there's like a bunch of callbacks it really is like everything just kind of finishes and now now that i've done this i understand why people say you know don't show won't hold up obviously i haven't played
Starting point is 00:13:31 don't trill there yeah i'm not there but when you have a story that runs for this long and concludes in a very good way how do you top it like there is no topping it you can't can't especially if you're starting something new so sephor off pop up i don't know so that that is honestly the highlight of my week for sure because it was so worth it like i've kind of complained about the progress but i think it was a good payoff for sure i got i got to get a good person on wow before i hop on final fancy 14 like them my two you inspired me like i got to do these for tony yeah i'm actually going to start playing wow uh well well i think it's when this no okay so that's this oh wait yeah it'll be like i will be playing when this episode comes
Starting point is 00:14:21 out i will be playing well again so i'm sorry of final fantasy friends but i will i will be back there at least for a month because legion remix is coming out and i got to get on that that's so uh let's see if i watched anything this week uh lord of mysteries anime super confusing don't know what's happening uh it kind of just i'm only on episode two But essentially, it's the way it started out, just so you can get a feel for how confusing it was. This dude wakes up in someone else's body after the dude, I guess, killed himself, shot himself in a pistol. Because he woke up and he was looking down at a table. There was a gun in his hand.
Starting point is 00:15:03 There was blood on the wall. And then a wound in his head was healing up. And he's, for some reason, he knows that he just dropped in someone's body because he inherited all their memories and stuff. And I don't know. I'm so confused. What anime is this? Lord of Mysteries. And this feels like one of those ones that is just going to keep kind of like peace feeding you things, peace mealing.
Starting point is 00:15:27 It gives death no vibe. No, no, I wouldn't say that. It's more like it drops you into something and kind of like you put it together as you go. Because that's what I'm getting so far. It's like I'm on episode two, like I said. And it's kind of fed me some more stuff about the world. world and how it works so it's been pretty interesting it looked old timey sherlock homesie yeah yeah it's uh like victorian steampunk aesthetic kind of thing yeah but with magic
Starting point is 00:15:55 pretty good yeah i'm hooked uh it actually pulled me away from the chosen for a little bit which i'm on the last season for that and that's that's feeling that's a lot of feelings wrapped up in that one it really is such a good good show and uh that's my week Eli? Well, I've been watching more of Orphan Black on Netflix. Watching that show is kind of wild. It's kind of a wild show. It's about this chick who watches herself,
Starting point is 00:16:24 somebody who looked just like her kill herself in the first episode by jumping in front of a tram. Oh. Very similar themes we got going on here. All right. We dark. We dark. It's October, nigga.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Fuck it. Then you go, watch you get deeper into the show, you find out that it's a, this woman, she's just cloned. It's a whole bunch of clones of her. Around and different, different lines. in different places from different families and stuff and just a whole bunch of tons of her
Starting point is 00:16:46 and the scientists they put people into their lives to watch them so she found out that because she took over the woman who killed herself she stole her identity and started taking a little life so she became a cop like the other woman she found out that the woman's boyfriend been watching her the whole time
Starting point is 00:17:02 he just started to watch her so you find out everybody got somebody in their life that's in her to watch them pretty good so far um I also finished I binge finally watch presumed innocent the Jake Gilli Hall show on Apple TV
Starting point is 00:17:18 where he on trial for the murder he's a district attorney he on trial for the murder of his co-worker that they find out have a relationship and she was pregnant
Starting point is 00:17:26 with his baby when she died so that's also a good show really good show and last thing GenV episode four came out of that so I've been watching
Starting point is 00:17:36 I'm all right so I'm on that so it's been legit so far like yeah but like nothing happened yet they just It's still building up. That really, really, really important happened yet.
Starting point is 00:17:46 You just finding out stuff. Because niggas on stream and asked me about the shit, and I'm like, I ain't just caught up yet. I've been on peacemaker. I think you finally find out what Cypher do, though, and so forth, so. Yeah, so that's why I've been doing this, David. My week was good.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Yeah, I did a lot of TV watching, too. I watched that Charlotte Sheen documentary. That man, he lived a life. The goat? Yeah. Tiger Blood himself. Right, and he survived it all. A dude, so I take a, the dude who took meth and got gay all of a sudden for meth.
Starting point is 00:18:21 This is a sex drug. That's a wild coming, bro. They call that shit sex, Panther. Then he said he was getting a blowjob but doing crack at the same time. He was like, they still haven't found a feeling better than that. It's called peak multitasking. Why people, when they do crack, they act like it don't really affect them as bad as black people like just like miss yeah i don't know what it is the white people and emphetamines
Starting point is 00:18:48 well uh i went through that that was really good um and what else i've been watching yeah i've been watching my dc archives i'm now still i just started on justice league unlimited i started on the episode where they're fighting that big well it's the first it's the first episode of just league unlimited when they when we first see green arrow and they're fighting that big old robotic monster where they find out that the uh it's the anger it's the reason why that is attacking people attacking people you can see hawk and dove in there that show has some really good writing in it well the old justice league did too but just league unlimited is my all-time favorite because it has such good writing in it such good stories that i like
Starting point is 00:19:27 thinking also um but uh other than getting my ass kicked by my allergies uh i ain't really been doing much nothing oh yeah shout to everybody he showed up for a stand-up mp's uh so was almost sold out. So shout out to y'all. That was amazing. I had a really, really good time. Other than that, that's all I got. We got to go to a quick break. When we come back, peacemaker after this. All I know is what I've been told, and that's a half-truth is a whole lie. For almost a decade, the murder of an 18-year-old girl from a small town, in Graves County, Kentucky, went unsolved until a local homemaker, a journalist, and a handful of girls came forward with a story.
Starting point is 00:20:19 I'm telling you, we know Quincy Kilder, we know. A story that law enforcement used to convict six people, and that got the citizen investigator on national TV. Through sheer persistence and nerve, this Kentucky housewife helped give justice to Jessica Curran. My name is Maggie Freeling. I'm a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, producer, and I wouldn't be here if the truth were that easy to find. I did not know her and I did not kill her, or rape or burn or any of that other stuff that y'all said.
Starting point is 00:20:53 They literally made me say that I took a match and struck and threw it on her. They made me say that I poured gas on her. From Lava for Good, this is Graves County, a show about just how far our legal system will go in order to find someone to blame. America, y'all better work the hell up. Bad things happen to good people in small towns. Listen to Graves County in the Bone Valley feed on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And to binge the entire season ad-free, subscribe to Lava for Good Plus on Apple Podcasts.
Starting point is 00:21:34 I'm Jonathan Goldstein, and on the new season of heavyweight, I help a centenarian mend a broken heart. How can a 101-year-old woman fall in love again? And I help a man atone for an armed robbery he committed at 14 years old. And so I pointed the gun at him. him and said this isn't a joke. And he got down, and I remember feeling kind of a surge of like, okay, this is power.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Plus, my old friend Gregor and his brother tried to solve my problems through hypnotism. We could give you a whole brand new thing where you're like super charming all the time. Being more able to look to people in the eye. Not always hide behind a microphone. Listen to Heavyweight on the
Starting point is 00:22:26 IHeart Radio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, host of the On Purpose podcast. I had the incredible opportunity to sit down with the one, the only, Cardi B. My marriage, I felt the love dying. I was crying every day. I felt in the deepest depression that I had ever had.
Starting point is 00:22:54 How do you think you're misunderstood? I'm not this evil, mean person that people think that I am. I'm too compassionate. I have sympathy for that my man. To put so much heart and soul into your work. What's the hardest part for you to take that criticism? This shit was not given to me. I worked my ass off for me.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Even when I was a stripper, I'm going to be the best pole dancer in here. When was the moment you felt I did it? I still, to this day, don't feel comfortable. I fight every day to keep this level of success because people want to take it from you so bad. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Chetty on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or Wherever you get your podcasts. I started trying to get pregnant about four years ago now. We're getting a little bit older, and it just kind of felt like the window could be closing.
Starting point is 00:23:45 Bloomberg and IHeart Podcasts present. IVF disrupted, the Kind Body Story, a podcast about a company that promised to revolutionize fertility care. Introducing Kind Body, a new generation of women's health and fertility care. backed by millions in venture capital and private equity, it grew like a tech startup. While Kind Body did help women start families, it also left behind a stream of disillusioned and angry patients. You think you're finally like with the right people in the right hands,
Starting point is 00:24:19 and then to find out again that you're just not. Don't be fooled. By what? All the bright and shiny. Listen to IVF disrupted, the Kind Body story, starting September 19 on the IHeart Radio, app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And we are back.
Starting point is 00:24:39 So Peace Baker Season 2 is getting hot. It's getting crazy. Episode 5 recently released last week we talked about... Dre actually said that it's probably the town's part of races. I know we all agreed that like whatever is something too good in the D.C. universe, it's something wrong with the universe. And it was. Coffee.
Starting point is 00:25:02 So basically what happened is the group is trying to go figure out how to get peacemaker back. They got the little do-hinky that gets them into the other dimension and they open it up. And also, it's a little hint to how smart old girl is, Amanda Walla daughter is, because she was able to put everything together. You forget that she actually really smart. But they go to the other dimension, her hardcore, the tall, a redhead dude, uh, they enter into the other dimension to go look for peacemaker.
Starting point is 00:25:37 So inside the dimension, uh, they find peacemaker's brother and they end up getting caught, not really getting caught, but like he sees hardcore in their hand. He thinks hard card is the hard card from that, from that dimension. And they talk, then they basically end up going to, uh, meet at the office that they're going to. Um, on the other hand, the, uh, big, the, the blind, I don't believe in the remember their names. The Big Reddoo and the other girl, the black chick, they stay back and they wait. Jinjuku. Yeah, I remember that. I don't remember
Starting point is 00:26:08 the Jujicu. They stay back. They file eagerly. They clean up his mess and stuff like that. And then the girl, she's like, hey, I'm going to go for a walk. By this time, I figured out, I was like, this plan is racist. No, when Harcourt was in the office and she got out
Starting point is 00:26:24 and she was like, hey, why is there only white people in here? I haven't seen a single person of color. then Amanda Walla daughter Go for a walk And all you see is a white woman Panicking like Oh my God one of them got out
Starting point is 00:26:39 First off What the fuck do you mean One of them got out And then Homeland Your Homelander daddy I mean his brother Drive by and hit this Oh shit it's a black
Starting point is 00:26:51 Yeah Peacemaker Who has it? Home Lender Hey there my man Yeah Peacemaker brother Hop out to call like Oh shit is a black
Starting point is 00:27:00 And now you just see a whole lot of wife who were chasing A, chasing down Amanda Waller's daughter. I'm true. I keep forgetting that, boy. That had me joked out because, like, you know how she was walking and you just started seeing people
Starting point is 00:27:14 in the background falling and shit? And I was like, wait, what happened? Then I had the catch, like, wait. Oh, oh. Then it was like, it's a black. That was real terror in her face, too. That shit was funny as hell. She was like, oh, fuck.
Starting point is 00:27:28 It's dark. Oh, the other head, the red head, the red head of cool dude, he's in the house. He ends up, his, uh, Peacemaker's dad in that dementia comes out, start going to the refrigerator. He ends up getting caught by Peacemaker dad, stabbed in the hand. And he's like, eh, I just think, I don't like this character because he just ends up confessing. He bitch up. Yeah, it ends up confessing everything, telling him that Peacemaker killed his actual son and all that
Starting point is 00:27:56 stuff. Stuff you're not supposed to tell somebody in another dimension like that. He started telling her that stuff. On the other hand, they're back at Argus. And hardcore earlier in the episode, she had to get, go through like a check. She had to get checked because they found out, did you remember with Vigilante? They blew up all the shit with the cocaine and shit and the dog went crazy. Because side note, you find out Vigilante, he do be busting up like drug rings and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:28:29 but he don't turn it into the police department because he said the police department is crooked and it might get used again. So he keeps all of it in his bunker. Even though he works a part-time job and he acts like he don't never have no money, this dude got stacks millions of dollars of just money in their drugs
Starting point is 00:28:47 and everything inside his bunker. And they were like, then they even had to mention it. Like, wait a minute, there's millions of dollars in here. You just asked to borrow money the other day. Like, this crazy. So something happens. When they open the dimension thing,
Starting point is 00:29:00 this cocaine blew up and it sprayed on Harcourt. So when they get to the other dimension, and she's going to Argus with Peacemaker's brother, and they get in there, she has to get checked. Which I thought this is weird, too. This is another weird thing.
Starting point is 00:29:14 They made her get checked, and she had to take a blood test, make sure she didn't have no cocaine in her system when she was coming through the dope before she could get into August. I thought that was pretty crazy. Because she still worked for, it was like, you remember she still worked for Argus in that universe.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Yeah, I know, but still, like, them having to do a blood test for drugs. You ain't got to do no blood tests for those drugs. And they know niggas be doppelgangered as the fuck out at times. Yeah. I forgot you do that, yeah. But, yeah, she ends up getting, but then they start off for Peacemaker, you know, our Peacemaker, the one from regular dementia comes back and he seasons there. And they, they's about to talk.
Starting point is 00:29:53 I mean, they start, they, like, air out all their stuff that they've been going through the whole season. But the other hard court shows up She's like, oh, that's not me, arrest that lady And then that's why everything, all the other stuff This is all happening around the same time As red hair dudes getting attacked in the kitchen And while Maddewa Dawes been chased down the street But all this is happening together
Starting point is 00:30:14 And also big, big, big huge Superman 2007 movie Easter egg Lex Luther makes an appearance in the show It's hilarious because he makes appearance He's in prison and they go like the scene slowly just pans into him walking is behind him that he sits down because rick flag senior he has to go to him because he's trying to get help on how to find or either how to close the dimension that peacemaker has and he's basically asking him which this sets up
Starting point is 00:30:43 another thing because he asked um rick flag senior to transfer him to a new prison i know in the comics and in the tv show when he got transferred to a different prison he broke out so i think that's what's going to happen i feel like it like he's going to end up breaking out and uh this sets that up but he ends up help on them and uh he also mentions killa croc and uh the doctor with the uh from um creature commandoes but yeah sees it going good what's your thoughts on the dray pretty good with it right now it's like it's kind of they recaned themselves okay into the new james gun in dc universe you know what i mean yeah i appreciate it it's pretty nice i'm liking where it's going
Starting point is 00:31:23 it's like all the pieces starting you know, father. Like once I realized everybody was racist as hell, I was like okay, this is the turn, this is their turning point of the season like, okay this is where we are now. But I feel like it's
Starting point is 00:31:38 something to happen in that universe that's going to reflect. I don't say reflect, but it's going to have an effect on the DC you now. Yeah. Because you know they're still doing that weird multiverse shit a little bit. So I don't know what i feel like something from
Starting point is 00:31:54 that we're not see racist universe is going to see over into the dc universe now or or let's lulu gonna you know he's gonna manipulate that somehow he's gonna use that shit yeah or one or maybe or maybe
Starting point is 00:32:11 random shit either his daddy or brother make it into the regular universe i say his brother i say you know what I'm saying like somebody from i'm over there going to make it back over to the regular universe I see like like a solid prediction. Right. I like it, though. It's, it ain't, you know,
Starting point is 00:32:26 it ain't eating its own ass and, like, doing those sort of Rick Honey shit. So, yeah. It's working. They did a soft mission to enchantress also, because you find out caught, uh, hardcore, uh, Rick Flagg was actually
Starting point is 00:32:43 having an affair. Because I, that's why she didn't, like, home land there first, because it's like, bitch, you killed my ex. Mm-hmm. Well, they was having my, my, you, you was killing, you, you was kill him you was killing my side plane yeah and but they that's like he was always with a girl which i guess the girl is because remember in the old suicide movie he they was trying to save in trenches but he but really they was like actually together like that was his woman so i'm guessing
Starting point is 00:33:08 they was together around that time too like how you gonna cheat on a chattress that's pretty and that's why he could that's why he couldn't be with hardcore because it's like bitch this bitch can murder all of us with magic yeah so shit thought that was hilarious it was a nice tie and I appreciate how they kind of brought all. They brought the James Gun, Suicide Squad. It's like the Suicide Squash. They made sure the Suicide Squat shit is still candy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Cartoon and movies. Yeah. They didn't take none of it out. Did you see the rumors on the internet that they're saying that the bird blindness dude might be Martian Manhunter? All right. If that actually come out to be true, that'd be funny as hell. That'll be a crazy twist.
Starting point is 00:33:49 I'll be mad as fuck. but it works what you think about it didn't marshalman hunter have a law enforcement job anyways it's like he was a cop and he just do undercover shit because he'd just be like
Starting point is 00:34:02 I'm this guy and it's like no and that's how he got I want to say he got caught because nobody is like who the fuck is this nigga for real though like how does he keep doing this
Starting point is 00:34:12 I all said if he start flinching or something with fires around then it's a dead giveaway super dead giveaway Tony Eli y'all ain't even seen peace Y'all niggas mute. Um, mute, you stupid.
Starting point is 00:34:24 If y'all said nothing. He went to go take the shit and Baku looking at porn. He definitely is, because you can see it in his glasses. Just sitting there watching porn. Nobody rebuttal, so I'm right. Hell yeah. I'm gonna take that dude.
Starting point is 00:34:38 I was just letting you. He's letting you talk. Oh, no. He got wireless headphones, that's all. Did you y'all ain't seen Feasmaker? Y'all haven't been watching it? No. Terrible.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Anyways, but, uh... Yeah, so Peace Making Season 2, big kicking out. I think the next, they said the next couple of episodes going to basically help us shape out what's coming next in the DC universe, like five, I think it's eight episodes. Is this going to be eight or ten episodes? I think it's eight. I hate that age.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Let me do it. Because one of the episode five? Yeah. That's usually how it goes. Things start picking up right around the fifth, and then it just like barrels towards the end. I hope these bids just be like hour long. Yeah, it's eight.
Starting point is 00:35:20 are they not is the episode are the episode are the episode not an hour long most of them be like 40 50 you know how it's like they they always be like most of them hour long but they do them ad shits so it's like 10 minutes of each episode be ad so yeah i'll be i'll be count like that it'll make no damn sense sense at all at all for hb they're taking them of the ad free version now too of the hbio max HBO doesn't have commercials. Why do they, why do they, yeah, anyway. They need money.
Starting point is 00:35:56 HBO is still a channel. Yeah. Yeah, but HBO, the channel doesn't have commercials either. Oh, yeah. Like cable? Yeah, it doesn't have commercial. That's because cable, paying for it. They get never checked from you paying for cable.
Starting point is 00:36:10 But as far as streaming, they need, they need revenue from streaming, so they have to use the ads unless you get the ad free version. But all and all, not nothing. Nagel talk of HBO Max, I do have to say it's another, like, Peacemaker's another one of them HBO shows that's like really good because HBO is doing really good for a live action TV shows at D.C.
Starting point is 00:36:32 I can't wait to see what more they have. I can't wait to see the Lantern show, and did they say they have more coming? Because with Peacemaker, it's doing really good. Pingle was really good. And then outside of that, The Last of Us is really good. Like, I don't know. HBO Max has been on the road.
Starting point is 00:36:48 So go right in the show. And this season has good writing too It's a lot of cliffhangers And a lot of good things happening And like the humor And it keeps you going too That's also another thing But Peacebaker season two
Starting point is 00:37:00 We'll have the final We're going to watch the next three episodes Then we'll get a final review After the next three episodes Moving on We're going to the dojo Drey what you got Random other
Starting point is 00:37:10 I forgot to add on So I saw him The football horror movie It's okay It's a horror movie? Kind of it's like one of them Psychological Thriller Type shit
Starting point is 00:37:23 Oh, I didn't Did not know that You know how it'd be like It's like oh yeah You got a mentor Let it get real super culty One of the movie I appreciate it for what it was
Starting point is 00:37:34 And the ending Do you remember Ah, what was that? Ready or not? Yeah When a girl married the dude And her craziest family Trying to murk her ass
Starting point is 00:37:43 Because of the curse And the curse turned out To be real at the end Yeah One of those type of movies but football but it was it was a great all the you know all around I don't see
Starting point is 00:37:55 why people just like it was kind of overhyped I will say that but it was like a random okay horror movie we'll say you know when Marlon Wayne's do like not funny shit he goes into that shit and I appreciate that
Starting point is 00:38:10 every time because that nigga be acting I heard him say something on social media because I guess the movie got kind of panned like not very great reviews. And then he said something to the effect of it being ahead of its time and that's why people don't understand. Oh, because he mentioned
Starting point is 00:38:26 he's like, yeah, everyone hated white chicks when it came out, but look at the culture of impact now. That's why, and that's why I say you can't trust. That's why you can't trust rotten tomatoes on a sudden thing, like on cult classic type moves, you can't trust them because they gave white chicks a low score. Like,
Starting point is 00:38:44 white chick, of course, you remember every line for that fucking movie. And y'all some Texas football niggas. So it's like, you know, that should have hit derby. Y'all already know how niggas had to go through footballers life. As soon as you hit Peewee football, niggins, one of them type moments. I was like, oh, damn. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:01 It got real Dion Sanders, son. Out of nowhere. I was like, okay, I see, I feel, yeah. It's like that. It really do be like that. But it was a straight movie. Other than that, we've had the guys doing, we had a state of play in rent. I forgot I was not ready for this and I'm not going to lie
Starting point is 00:39:19 because I was having a random drunk day and I had took a break then everybody was like you know it's a state of playing like two hours right and I was like oh shit all right let me hop back home stream real quick so bust that round bust that down real quick so let's go with some of the games
Starting point is 00:39:41 to me all right overall it was kind of me I ain't anything like like y'all know I'm not anything to play with y'all like that Like, y'all know if it's, like, a super hype state of play, I'm not sure. The only thing good about, I mean, it has some, like, eh-huh. You know, PlayStation should have been on this real indie artsy type shit lately. Don't know how to really explain it, because if I, if I be, like, stupid, like, if I just point, point shit, then I'd be a homoful bar bigger or something.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Somebody's going to be offended. But, uh, let's go over some of these games before I just point out Wolverine. The only other game I care about is Soros, and then I still have to wait a year for it to come to PC, because I'm not buying a console for a game. Wait, what is Soros? Soros is the next game from the same studio who did Returnal. Yeah, okay, yeah, I did see this. So, is this like a, is this the same universe? No, no, it's, I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Because the monsters that you fight and everything look mad, they look mad returnally, and I wouldn't be mad if it was all, like, maybe. different planet, same universe type shit? Yeah, I don't know. I don't think so, but it looks I mean, I'm just there for the gameplay, I'm be honest. I like the psychological story that the first one had, because it was real confusing but then it all fits together real well
Starting point is 00:41:01 and I was down for that, but I'm definitely down for another returnal-esque game. One that caught my eye, which is random as hell, because this kind of, it pissed me off, but I was like, kind of brought me back. They remastering Dynasty Warriors
Starting point is 00:41:16 is three. Like, and Dinister Warriors three is the one that made me a Dynasty Warriors fan, but I'm like, why are we just gonna get
Starting point is 00:41:23 Dynasty Warriors 10? So I just don't know. I was not aware that they keep going, that they were still going with that. Because, you know, it was like,
Starting point is 00:41:31 Donister Warriors 9, then they did that Donister Warriors the Origins game, and we ain't heard nothing else at the Origins game. And from what everybody
Starting point is 00:41:40 said, origins were straight. Like, when they actually just trying to make like a single player experience in the Three Kingdoms team.
Starting point is 00:41:48 It did. People certainly kind of work. So I thought they were going to actually start making first player. You know, like, no, we just remastering three, which is like, I ain't going to lie. Three was probably the most complete one out of all. You know, all of them in the same game over and over again. But three was probably, that's the one where Lou Boo was that nigger. Like, Lou Bo was on Shang level of boss battles.
Starting point is 00:42:11 So that's nice. Another remaster is Deis X the first one, which. Which I'm kind of mad about, because I just, I, like, I said, like, two months ago, I got the first, like, the original PC one. Right. But it got good graphics. I ain't going to lie. I saw the little. But I feel like I could just mod mine type shit.
Starting point is 00:42:29 So I don't know. It ought to depend. If it's on, like, PS Plus, I get it. Next up. Code Vane 2. Another great, you know, RPG. I have not played the first one, but people always told me it was goaded. Oh, I would just say it's okay.
Starting point is 00:42:45 You know, okay. All right. called it that's tony's word you know if i if i ain't did it tony probably got a strong opinion on it and the other one that was like on some weird artsy type stuff that like had me like i kind i like this you know i like when games do that weird artwork game play like like you can mix the gameplay textures it was like pronoscate the endless end where it looked like it's a book like a uh like a like you know how the pop-up books used to be but yeah it's a i like what rpgs do shit like feel like it gave me paper mario but final i want to say final fantasy give me
Starting point is 00:43:20 fire emblem and old school fire emblem but paper mario artwork type vibe but a british but a european nigga did the artwork so it got there like italian looking artwork art style to it yeah but it looks really nice i was like okay this is like some nice little side scroller RPG-type game play. I could deal with it. Another random one that was like caught my eye that messed me up before I go to Wolverine is Let It Die Inferno.
Starting point is 00:43:50 I am Let It Die. I'm surprised. Right. So I was like Let It Die I didn't, I, let it die was so random yet okay for me type shit. Like I enjoy it let it die.
Starting point is 00:44:01 It was like a random good rogue-like game. I didn't get to get into it because it was already dead on the PC so no one thought. Yeah, so because I had it on PlayStation. I was like, this shit, like, even like playing solo, it's ignorantly okay. And then they kind of, like, rebooted it for the five.
Starting point is 00:44:20 Like, on the PlayStation, Let It Die is still kind of, like, it still be booming. Like, I still be watching people play at times on Twitter. And then we finally getting a sequel. And it was like, oh, weird. Japan be Japan in their times. This is about the best way this I can explain, let it die.
Starting point is 00:44:37 Because it got that weird, quirky anime feel. but about really about dead people and you're just using their bodies to fight an endless subway and just keep going down yeah it works though it actually works like that made me have to lie
Starting point is 00:44:54 I said I might actually just re-download the other one uh damn my bad we gotta go to a break oh my bad my bad gotta do 20 minutes shots you gotta go to a quick break when we come back more of this shit after this All I know is what I've been told, and that's a half-truth is a whole lie. For almost a decade, the murder of an 18-year-old girl from a small town in Graves County, Kentucky, went unsolved,
Starting point is 00:45:28 until a local homemaker, a journalist, and a handful of girls came forward with a story. I'm telling you, we know Quincy killed her. We know. A story that law enforcement used to convict six people and that got the citizen investigator on national TV. Through sheer persistence and nerve, this Kentucky housewife helped give justice to Jessica Curran. My name is Maggie Freeling. I'm a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, producer,
Starting point is 00:45:58 and I wouldn't be here if the truth were that easy to find. I did not know her and I did not kill her, or rape or burn or any of that other stuff, that y'all said it. They literally made me say that I took a match and struck and threw it on her. They made me say that I poured gas on her. From Lava for Good, this is Graves County,

I was crying every day. I felt in the deepest depression that I, I had ever had. How do you think you're misunderstood? I'm not this evil, mean person that people think that I am.
Starting point is 00:48:14 I'm too compassionate. I have sympathy for that fuck my man. Put so much heart and soul into your work. What's the hardest part for you to take that criticism? This shit was not given to me. I worked my ass off for me. Even when I was a stripper, I'm gonna be the best pole dancer in here. When was the moment you felt I did it?

Listen to On Purpose with Jay Chetty on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I started trying to get pregnant about four years ago now. We're getting a little bit older and it just kind of felt like the window could be closing. Bloomberg and IHeart Podcasts present. IVF disrupted, the kind body story. a podcast about a company that promised to revolutionize fertility care.
Starting point is 00:49:13 Introducing Kind Body, a new generation of women's health and fertility care. Backed by millions in venture capital and private equity, it grew like a tech startup. While Kind Body did help women start families, it also left behind a stream of disillusioned and angry patients. You think you're finally like with the right people in the right hands. And then to find out again that you're just not. Don't be fooled. By what? All the bright and shiny.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Listen to IVF Disrupted, the Kind Body Story, starting September 19 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And we are back. What did you got, Dre? Tony, did you play Neo? I played the first one. The old ones? Yeah. When it came out like 30 years ago?
Starting point is 00:50:02 All right. Do not, bro, we're not that old. Don't do that. Jesus Christ. But we finally get Neo 3, which is weird. So I'm like, okay, turn up. Because that was always a random when that was like the weird in between at the dark souls, I guess, when everybody realized we can make souls like two.
Starting point is 00:50:22 But Neo kind of actually worked a little bit. But I guess finally they're trying to make Neo 3 like a super actual actual story. Like, Neo was kind of, you just dark souls type shit. Neo 2 was like, you're like, you're a French German samurai in that three. I was in the preview. And I was like, okay, all right, they actually got a story story. But I don't know the Neo-like lore. I called it and had a story before, right?
Starting point is 00:50:50 Right. I don't really, I didn't know it. Not going to lie. Don't really know anything about the Neo timeline. It's been too long for me to recall anything. All I know is he was a foreigner who got to be a samurai. that's all I got I just remember the nigger was French
Starting point is 00:51:08 he did the Tom Cruise he oh my God he was the last samurai Oh shit You're talking about 47 Roner What's that time? Wait, I thought the last samurai Was Tom Cruise? That's what's Kenanerese is 47 Ronan
Starting point is 00:51:25 The Keanu Reeves is 47 Rony Oh Tom Cruise is the last samurai Oh I heard you say Neo I thought you're talking about No that's the game My head hurt We got another Seven Deadless Sins
Starting point is 00:51:38 Origin game coming up showing the rise of how they actually started. I might actually do this because I appreciate when they You know, that's how I actually got into a lot of animas. Seven deadly Epstein list.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Shut the fuck up. Oh. All right. No, I ain't even if they're going on the island. Mr. Meliota, you know he was on the island. You know he was on the island. True. You know he was.
Starting point is 00:52:04 Oh shit But we got the origin story I guess so that's gonna be how they formed I don't wait I didn't read the manga So I can't call If they actually ever did talk about this I show it And I don't remember them doing like
Starting point is 00:52:18 You know how everybody met each other In the anime It was kind of We caught everybody after they broke up So that'd be nice And I forgot the uh It's the nigga You know it's the uh dude
Starting point is 00:52:30 It's the people that make every anime game Like super strong like the one piece niggas is a bandit. I don't want to say it's a bandit. That is who does it though so you're not far off. It might be
Starting point is 00:52:44 it might be. But apparently it's a free to play open world RPG which is like, hey I don't know what you're going to do with that one. That's different. Randomly we're showing that Microsoft lost the console wall so we got Microsoft
Starting point is 00:53:00 Flight Simulator 2024 coming to PS5. Which is Flight Simulator is, like, extremely popular than what I... I didn't know how popular that game purchase is. Flight Simplated... They used that to actually teach pilots. Yeah, yeah. It actually is accurate to the T.
Starting point is 00:53:19 Because I knew a guy that plays it. Because I played... Like all those are demos. Right. Because playing Grand Tourismo and V-R., you have to do that shit real deal on point or else. And last, but not. not ligate at least how y'all feel about wolverine man like we finally actually you know we've
Starting point is 00:53:39 been asking like we ain't heard shit about this wolverine game now we finally got the state of play and it was like nah this what we got and he graphics look mid it does give me PS4 vibes but the fact that insomniac is trying to get super violent i just hope they hop good that's all i like her about don't give me no trash story i want to know how is i want to see highs going tie in to the insomniac MC Marvel universe. Because apparently the Avengers got like
Starting point is 00:54:10 all the Avengers niggas and shit that was on the game. And the Guardians of the Galaxy games all those are tied together. So they all in the same universe, which is why. So that's why we never saw no X-Men in either of them games. So I'm like
Starting point is 00:54:26 it do look really like on it. Yeah, Graphics wise, it don't look on. It don't look bad, but, but PS5 now, it looked undershooting. Like, y'all better be, that PC version better be Ray Trace starting going Duffy or some shit. But I'm enjoying it. Like, I felt, I got, from what I saw, I, I'm not scared, but I hope it looks a lot more clean dub when they come out i have faith dude i liked it i like the trailer uh i think they'll clean it up
Starting point is 00:55:04 before it comes out that's probably just what they got now i can't wait for it i like it so dick that's my shit it's like y'all didn't have a spider man two didn't get no dc'ss and spider man two look better than that right now and it's like with wolverine i feel like with it with him being a lot less slower and more powerful y'all should have been able to make that look a lot better you know what I mean you know Spider-Man fast as hell so y'all actually got to get that time in this shit straight I got to make sure it's just okay with
Starting point is 00:55:34 Wolverine he's slower so y'all can make this shit look a lot lot better but I'm messing with it they had a cameo from mystique some nice little little cameos in there and we don't know where the I guess X-Men are technically
Starting point is 00:55:50 in you know the Marvel game universe right now so that's always another one So hopefully we can get some insight to that. But on the state of play, that's all I really got, y'all. Y'all had them to learn? No, I only cared about Soros and Wolverine. I'm sure, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:06 Or just Wolverine. Oh, pass that bitch over to Bacu. You got a kid. It's time for a spooky edition of Eli's Corner. It's October. So all month long, we got some spooky segments for y'all. And in this segment, I have a list of the greatest top-rated horror Halloween movies of all time. and we're going to play a little game as I go down the list.
Starting point is 00:56:29 So we're going to learn what's on the list, and we're going to play a little game to see what's on the list. I'm going to give y'all a short description of the movie, and y'all just tell me what movie it is. Oh, man, is this a game? And you get it right, you get a point. Are you doing it? So, get ready.
Starting point is 00:56:46 Get your buzzers ready. We have this new hand-raised thing that we do now, so we don't scream out our names anymore. Oh, so it is a game. anyways um first a vampire tells an epic life story love betrayer tony
Starting point is 00:57:06 gay ass 12 uh god rom stoker is dracula no drey can you finish the action oh no you put you all right y'all here alright wait uh right wait uh no spiroito exzvary twilight no interview with a vampire
Starting point is 00:57:25 I knew it after the other I said it. I'm starting off at 52, the 52 greatest. You know it's a lot of horror moves out, so that's good. 52, it's a 7.5. A vampire tells an epic life story, love, betrayal, loneliness, and hunger. I've never seen a movie greatness. I love interviewing with a vampire, man. That's that with Brad Pitt.
Starting point is 00:57:46 See, some horror movies don't really seem like horror to me in these one of these movies. Because I, you know, I don't really like horror, but this don't seem like a horror movie to me. It seems like, it seems like more of a... It's drama in a horror setting. Yeah. More of a drama romance movie, something like that, yeah. Okay. It don't feel like it.
