Yeezy? Well, let's talk about this COVID-19 vaccine. According to Pfizer, they said an early look at data from its coronavirus vaccine shows it is more than 90% effective. So there were 43,000 volunteers who got either two doses of the vaccine or you got a

placebo. It says fewer than 10% of infections were in participants who have been given the vaccine. More than 90% of the cases were in people who have been given a placebo. So it sounds like good news. Yeah, of course it is. I told y'all the whole narrative of COVID was going to change if Harris Biden won the election.

It's going to be a mandatory mask mandate when Biden becomes president. And the hope of a vaccine being on the way will make everybody feel a lot more comfortable. Folks will stop living in fear and feel even more comfortable being back in them streets. Well, Joe Biden said that it's excellent news, but he also warned that mask wearing and social distancing are still necessary. Donald Trump took to Twitter and said, stock market up big vaccine coming soon. Report 90 percent effective. Such great news. As I have long said, Pfizer and the others would only announce a vaccine after the election because they didn't have the courage to do it before. Likewise, the U.S. FDA should have announced it earlier, not for political purposes, but for saving

lives. If Joe Biden were president, you wouldn't have the vaccine for another four years, nor would the U.S. FDA have approved it so quickly. The bureaucracy would have destroyed millions of lives. Now, according to Trump did say they would probably have a vaccine by the end of the year, possibly

by election time. He has been saying that. First he said Easter, I thought he said then he said Easter at first, then he said before election. He said the end of the year, possibly by election time. Yeah, it never was meant for everybody. It wasn't going to go off a public rollout to the spring. But Donald Trump was saying that everybody would be available for everyone. He was saying that he was saying essential workers and people like on the front lines. And so and of course, Joe Biden, his newly formed transition COVID-19 advisory board has been announced.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. So it's led by established public health officials and a mix of doctors and current and former government officials. And so that should make us feel more comfortable knowing that moving forward, that there will be science and medical professionals who will be on the front lines trying to handle this pandemic. Yeah, it's all about what makes you feel good at the end of the day, what makes you feel comfortable. You're comfortable knowing that somebody is in a position who actually knows what they're doing or is treating it seriously. All right, well, that is your front page news.

VF Corporation is the company that bought it. They own Vans, the North Face, Timberland, and Dickies. Just FYI. Okay. Wow. Well, salute to Supreme. That's what you build a business for, right? You build a business to be able to have that type of exit.

So salute to them. Now, even during this time when clothing sales are down, they're explaining why Supreme has been so successful. And that's because partly they own 100 percent of its retail channel. So what that means is if you don't buy it at a brick and mortar location or on their own website, the only place you can buy it is in the secondary market. So that's like what Hermes does, too. You have to buy it at that store that they own. You can't buy it anyplace else.

And very limited level of exclusiveness to it. Limited stock, smart collaborations, things like that also make all the difference in being authentic. They said also, even during this time, people are working from home, but that's okay because while you're working

from home, you don't mind investing in nicer sweats because people are wearing sweats. So you're like, well, why not buy some, you know, fly sweats to work from home in? That's a damn lie. Who told them that lie? I mean, I guess they did their research. I do feel like and, you know, I've always wore sweats all the time. And then sometimes you're like, all right, let me get myself some nicer sweats since this is what I'm wearing. Because now you're not spending money on other types of clothes to go out in. Yeah, when I go out, I do.

Not when I'm in the house. Not when I'm in the house. When I'm in the house, I just throw on whatever I can find. Basketball shorts, t-shirts. It doesn't matter what it is. I just throw it on when I'm in the crib. I got on some Nike sweatpants right now. Sweat shorts, actually.

I wonder what this is going to mean for the actual brand. Because, you know, sometimes brands sell and then it kind of takes away. Yeah. I was thinking the same thing. Are they going to keep the designers? Are they going to keep the people that got the company to this amount of money? Because they need the people there. You need the designers there.

You need the people to still release the things, to stay on top of pop culture. They just sold for $2.1 billion. Not them, but the person that bought it. They want to keep that money coming in. Yeah, you want to see if that value is still going to be there. You want to keep the value there still. That is true. All right.

Over the weekend, we lost our beloved host, Alex Trebek. This is an enormous loss for our staff and crew, for his family, and for his millions of fans. He loved this show and everything it stood for. In fact, he taped his final episodes less than two weeks ago.

We will air his final 35 episodes as they were shot. That's what he wanted. Death is such a strange thing, right? Because when you hear about Alex Trebek and you're like, okay, he's 80 years old. He had pancreatic cancer When I heard that story in my mind I said to myself He lived a full life

And he passed He passed peacefully he transitioned peacefully That's what you would hope for right Yes Okay well they did have a Moment of silence and so those Episodes that he already filmed Will be airing through Christmas Day.

So they said he was filming just two weeks ago before he passed away. Wow. He probably was preparing and planning. 80 years old. You know, he'd been battling cancer for a while. I mean, literally, because like Tip said, we've had 14 negative COVID tests, and we test all the time. We might be in the club three four five days come test and nothing you know so we've been kind of blessed i've had it early on and didn't know well we did think we

had it early on like in january because i had the coughs for about two months i could not get oh i was just coughing and coughing so bad that i started you know i finally got some cough medicine from the doctor but it didn't it helped me a little bit but i think that probably was covered me and tip was kind of going through that for a while we had fevers but covet wasn't we didn't know about covet at the time right before it hit now let me ask you a question now with the baby coming what are some things you're going to adopt from your parents and what things you're not going to do i know when when i first had my kid i was like i'm not going to be as protective as my parents.

And then I was worse than them. You know, so what's things you want? Some things you're going to take with some things you're not going to do. You know, that's really a hard question because I just really don't know. I feel like a fish out of water with this whole pregnancy. But I feel like I want to like not put her you know so much in the light at first like i kind of want her to choose but at the same time i know like when she come i want to post her everywhere right like oh i just love my baby but it's like i don't know and let's see definitely in some ways look how my mama looking like, girl, what you about to say?

In some ways, I feel like well, no, no, because y'all really are not just super overprotective. I really feel like I'm going to take more from y'all than I'm going to try to do stuff differently. Like, I'm really close with my mom. Like, I call you for everything. I probably tell you too much, but it works out. I'll probably do a lot of that.

And when the baby comes, you gonna understand why they were the were the way with you the way they were absolutely you're gonna understand that once you have your kid yeah the stuff that you know y'all do that get on my nerves i'm sure i understand i can't see how much how many weapons are popping how much discipline she puts in the game yeah Yeah, okay, that's one thing, because you really, my mom, y'all, did not really pop me and do stuff like that. Yeah, he was just surprised because for Zanique, you know, nobody really expected her to be the first one, even though she's the oldest, to have babies, because she's really not a person.

Yeah, she don't really like kids. I mean, I say she's not like, you ask her to keep her, you keep your kid, she's gonna be like, I'm gonna keep her. But then after 30 minutes or 45 minutes later, she's like, are you on your way? You know, I'm like, dang, you just got her.

And then look what happened. Were you nervous to tell him more than you were nervous to tell your mom? Definitely. I told my mom as soon as I found out.

We're asking, how do you eat healthy using an EBT card? So I guess we'll start with you, Charmaine. Yeah, I mean, listen, I haven't used the EBT card. So I guess we'll start with you, Sean. Yeah, I mean, listen, I haven't used the EBT card in a while, but if my memory serves me correctly, the thing about EBT is you can buy healthy stuff, but the healthy stuff is expensive. You know what I'm saying? So a lot of times when you go in these stores

with your EBT card, you're buying the cheaper items just because you're trying to make what's on that EBT card stretch. So I don't think it's necessarily that people don't want to eat healthy. I just don't know if they can afford to. And I've read about programs like

Healthy Staples. And it's a plan that can help people that are on EBT eat more healthy. Because I think that WIC is based on the use of food packages that include foods such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains that are deemed to provide good nutrition and healthy staples. Pays grocers who supply basic healthful foods like food, like grains, vegetables and beans.

They pay them. Healthy staples pays them to make sure that people on EBT get that healthy food. If I explain that right, I'm not sure I explained that all the way right. Yeah, I just know with the healthier foods, I just know they're super duper expensive. So it's hard to buy everything that you need buying that expensive food. I've never used the EBT card, but I know in college,

no, I never did. But in college, we used to buy EBT cards from people and give them cash. So you did use them? I didn't, but my roommates did. That's what we used to get from the Crackheads. Crackheads used to come through with buy EBT cards from people and give them cash. So you did use them? I didn't, but my roommates did. That's what we used to get from the crackheads. Crackheads used to come through with the EBT.

I mean, happy when the crackhead came through with EBT. And my roommates used to buy food for us in the dorm or our apartment. Well, I will say this. There's a lot of food deserts, and I know where I grew up, the supermarket there didn't have access to a lot. There's no Whole Foods like in the hood, you know? So I think that part of the problem is also access. And that's one thing that we've been working on. That's why we did a juice bar in Bed-Stuy to begin with, just to have a healthier

options for a decent price. The juices start at $6 and you can get like a full, the juice is equivalent to a meal. But I know it's not easy because sometimes you go in these supermarkets and stuff is expired. The food, the fresh fruits and vegetables aren't fresh. So you're like, I can't buy that. It looks disgusting. And so I think that's part of the problem, too. You can't say you can only buy healthy foods because you should be able to not limit what it is that you can purchase and also make sure that there is healthier options even available for people. Yeah. And you but you I mean, the crazy thing is it's not, it don't be crazy money on these EBT cards.

You know, sometimes it depends on your household size, but if you got a family of three and it's $509 on your, your, your EBT, you know how fast that money will go trying to buy groceries. So yeah, I mean,

it's not, and once again, I don't think people don't want to eat healthy. They just can't afford to. Organic. Organic is more expensive. All that's expensive. Absolutely.

we don't have a lot of land or anything like that. So I started teaching myself and educating myself and my children how to grow our own herbs, our own root vegetables, our own trees in a small area through permaculture. That's dope. So we do that. Dope. Okay.

I like that. Yeah, that's amazing. That's a good life lesson too. So when they get older, they keep that with them. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. And, you know, kids get picked on for the things that they bring to school and lunches because lunchables are the thing, you know, snacks are the thing. But my kids are educating other children on how to make better choices, on how to grow

their own. And with this government in this country, we have to be able to teach our children how to fend for themselves, especially black and brown kids, honestly. Absolutely. Thank you, mama. Just tell your kids when they tease them about what's in their bag at lunch, just be like, I'm going to live longer than you.
