Starting point is 00:03:03 I'm wonderful. Everything's good. What are you drinking How do you How do you start your day That's your breakfast The nice lady out there Made me this pineapple Spinach
Starting point is 00:03:10 Goat cheese Goat cheese No It's just a pretty purple drink I wanted it Because it goes with my suit You know if you said You put goat cheese in there
Starting point is 00:03:18 Everybody would start Putting goat cheese in their drinks Just because of how good you look I hate goat cheese Oh okay Okay Don't say hey, Patty. Well, you have a lot of great things going on.
Starting point is 00:03:27 I saw you have your dumpling, frozen dumpling line with Stratus. Oh, right. I do from the Chop House. Yes. That's our spot. And I saw you were there
Starting point is 00:03:35 the other day, too. I stay there. Yeah, I love their food, the fried lobster. Amazing. You don't play so much. And the chicken satays or whatever they're called.
Starting point is 00:03:43 Chicken satay, yep. Yep. I love it all So you went and had the dumplings And like okay We gotta do a frozen food line A food Yes
Starting point is 00:03:49 So I'm loving what I'm doing And the frozen other foods too And The soul food Yeah that Is out in some Walmarts And not in others
Starting point is 00:04:00 So people have to say We want Patty's Dinners Because you don't have to Cook dinner anymore Because I got the macaroni, greens, black-eyed peas, corned okra, tomatoes, two types of cornbread, and something else. Anyway, so you have... Like your mouth started watering.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Like you don't eat your food all the time. Your mouth started watering. You didn't describe it. No, I eat it. And the macaroni pulls like pizza, like six cheeses. You wait until you taste it. And so you don't have to cook anymore. And you have my desserts for later. So you just
Starting point is 00:04:27 cook and chill. You don't have to prepare. Just put it in the microwave or the oven. I trust Patty's cooking because sometimes that frozen macaroni and cheese could not be there. It'd be like watery. So I'm like, I'll trust the Patty LaBelle mac and cheese. Russ, I don't lie. And I have to put my name on it so you know
Starting point is 00:04:43 I can't be embarrassed. What are you never not cooking? I'm always cooking. Yeah, I don't lie. And I have to put my name on it so you know I can't be embarrassed. What are you never not cooking? I'm always cooking. Yeah, when I talked to you the other day on the phone, you was in the kitchen. Right, I stay in the kitchen. I love cooking. Yeah, that's what I do on my time off. Does that motivate you still? No, it relaxes me.
Starting point is 00:04:59 And that's when I get my chill moment when I'm cooking. If you ever need to relax over here, feel free. I'll come over. Do you have a kitchen? Do you have a kitchen? We can build one for you. I promise you I will make you all happy. It's almost Thanksgiving time. Your Thanksgiving dinner is a legendary, right?
Starting point is 00:05:16 Everybody want to get invited? Yeah, and everybody will be invited. Do you always... We got invited one year. We didn't go. We all got invited one year. We didn't go. Right, you were invited. Yeah, we got invited one year. We didn't go. We all got invited one year. We didn't go. Oh, right. You were invited. Yeah, we were invited one year.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Do you always look extravagant in the morning like that? I remember. The reason I ask, we were flying. I don't know where we were flying from. Oh, I remember. But it was like five in the morning. Right? Right.
Starting point is 00:05:37 And we were going through security at four in the morning. And Patty looked just like she just walked out on the runway. And I'm like, there's no way Patty could look this fly. What'd you look like? I look crazy. I look a hot mess. I didn't want to speak to her. He had a hoodie on.
Starting point is 00:05:48 And so low into my door, I said, there he goes. I said, ooh. So I had to fluff up, but I was already fluffed. Hey. No, because I don't want people catching me wrong. No. So I stay dressed. So even when you wake up and you got a flight that early in the morning, you...
Starting point is 00:06:03 I usually sleep in the face and the hair. There you go. And wake up. I didn't know you bought food. Oh my goodness, there's my stuff. This is what I'm dancing about. I sleep in the hair. Wow. And that's when you gotta sleep and you can't move your head to the right or to the left. Let me see. Is it hot?
Starting point is 00:06:20 If it's too hot, you gonna blow it for me? What did we tell you about that? It's good? It's not hot enough? Not for me. Okay. I like my food like I might burn the roof of my mouth. I like for that cheese to pull like that.
Starting point is 00:06:33 This ain't no frozen macaroni. I promise. This is good. Come on now. I know it's good. No, I have to say. I got some too. This ain't frozen.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Taste it, girl. So you're telling me this was frozen? Yes. This ain't frozen. This was frozen? I heated it up. You might have to heat it up for you, telling me this was frozen yes this ain't frozen this was frozen I heated it up you might have had to heat it up
Starting point is 00:06:46 but guess what I am never gonna be embarrassed about the food I put out to the public because my name is on it and I cook my face off so I can pretend I made this
Starting point is 00:06:56 that's what I'm saying put it in an aluminum pan people won't know that you didn't do it yeah you about to have a lot of guys I'm saving y'all I'm saving the ladies
Starting point is 00:07:03 and the men no tell me the truth Miss LaBelle you never take a day off from looking good you never got caught Yeah, you're about to have a lot of guys. I'm saving y'all. I'm saving the ladies and the men. No. Tell me the truth. Miss LaBelle, you never take a day off from looking good? You never got caught slipping? Never. Really? That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Never. No, not even in my supermarket. Bro, it was four in the morning, and she was to the T heels and everything. So when you're in the supermarket, you wear heels and the hair and everything? I wear baby pumps in the supermarket. Baby pumps? I can't do these six inches like this right here. This is so good. Okay? Damn. I do baby pumps in the supermarket. I can't do these six inches like this right here. This is so good.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Okay. But I do baby pumps. Does anybody else want to try some since we, Eddie? Come on. Just try it, y'all. The mac and cheese is so good. Oh, the whole thing. Let me show you something.
Starting point is 00:07:35 What's that? See this black pan that it's in? Yes. You put this in the oven and it won't melt. Really? In the oven for 65 minutes. And then it turns brown on the edges And bubbles That butter bubbles up
Starting point is 00:07:46 And that cheese pulls like pizza I promise you Did you taste any, sir? No, I didn't taste any You like it? Yeah He wants some He Puerto Rican
Starting point is 00:07:54 He don't know about no shoulder He Puerto Rican Oh, he knows Puerto Rican knows Just like we know Yes Give him a little bit Now, I saw you at Tyler Perry's event as well
Starting point is 00:08:02 For his studio You were there? Oh, no, I saw pictures I wasn't there. Oh, wasn't it? I loved your dress. Thank you. Thank you, honey.
Starting point is 00:08:08 So what was that feeling like for you to be there? I felt like a queen invited because he invited me. Oh, the invitation. You know about the invitation, right? Yep. You open it and it says, Miss Patti LaBelle. You were invited to my whatever. And I said, oh, I'm one of the chosen.
Starting point is 00:08:24 And of course, you cannot not go you have to go yes and i went and it was like seeing him from a car to heaven because that's how he used to you know live in that car and he has the world now and he's so giving you know so i'm happy for tyler what do you think the key to a timeless career is? What is the key? Yeah. I guess he just believed in himself. And he said, even though he didn't have anything, he said, I can get a lot more if I keep on believing in myself. And he's a believer.
Starting point is 00:08:55 And I was just saying his mother's not here to see all of this because his mother was his lady. And he's amazing. He's amazing. Are you a believer? Of course. What you think? Yeah. I believe, honey.
Starting point is 00:09:10 I do believe. So you saw, you envisioned yourself in this being who you are now? I prayed. And I've been blessed, you know, and touched by angels. Because there was a time in my life when I thought I was going to leave the planet. You know, just not. I was going to die Mm hmm. I did like four or five years ago. But you were sick or something. I wasn't sick. I was just special. Yeah. I just was going through vocal things. I thought my voice had left me. My son kept saying, Mom, your voice is still here and strong. But for me, it wasn't like I needed it to be.
Starting point is 00:09:43 And all of a sudden it came back. But it came back at the age of 75. My voice came't like I needed it to be and all of a sudden it came back but it came back at the age of 75 my voice came back like I was 40 it was I was 71 when it came back wow I guess did you do anything for that to happen like nothing no I was just living a good life and all of a sudden you're this closed up for me you know I have to be honest because some people were at those shows when my voice was like, let's pray. Let's pray for Patty. No, I'm not lying. I know my son's going to get mad at me telling this.
Starting point is 00:10:12 But to me, it wasn't what it should have been, what it could have been. So I lost some of it. But it's back now. So you wanted, maybe you wanted to die because you feel like you couldn't sing no more? No. Nobody wants to die. But I just felt like people were going to start more? No. Nobody wants to die. Okay. But I just felt like people were going to start
Starting point is 00:10:26 throwing eggs at me on stage and stuff like that. And that if I wasn't doing this, I might pass, you know, because this is my life. Right. You lose something that you love
Starting point is 00:10:35 and that makes it feel like something. It makes you nervous saying, you know, is it going to come back? Is it going to come back? And it did. Right.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Because I have a lot of peers whose voices, they left and they never came back So who am I not to be touched by that sad bug? What about your peers who passed when you see miss Franklin and Diane Carroll? Did that make you feel closer? Yeah closer to what? Yeah, no No, it's just that they were going through something, you know
Starting point is 00:11:03 And sometimes Aretha was gone through things that people didn't even probably know she was dealing with, you know, and Diane Carroll, I mean, losing her also. It's like everybody's going too soon, but I plan to stay for at least 100 more years. Okay. I don't see why not. If you're still eating fried lobster, you good. Oh, right, right, right. I can't wait to try them chicken and biscuits, though. Oh, the chicken and biscuits and. I can't wait to try them chicken and biscuits, though.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Oh, the chicken and biscuits. And then the dumplings from the Chop House. Right? The fried lobster. I'm going to have something else coming out, too. Food Rise and Beverage Wise and stuff like that. Can you give us a little spoiler? And I have a new double crust peach cobbler that just came out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:41 Okay. Right in time for Thanksgiving. And you can get it at Walmart. They have it at Walmart. How about that? Say it again. You can get it at Walmart. And if they don't have it at your local Walmart, you better tell them. You better tell somebody. You better ask somebody to say, get it in your store
Starting point is 00:11:54 because we love Patty's food. Now, I will always love you. Whitney Houston song. I heard that song. I thought you were just telling her your song. Oh my goodness. Oh, you're saying you always love me? I thought you were just saying where it was coming from. I heard that all... Oh, my goodness. Oh, you saying you always love me? Yeah. I thought you were just saying you don't know where it was coming from. I heard that was supposed to be your song.
Starting point is 00:12:08 No, Dolly Parton, a long time ago, said, Patty, I want you to cover this song. And so I said, of course, yes, because I love this song. But then something happened. The movie came, Whitney killed it, and I'm still sitting. So it was supposed to be your song?
Starting point is 00:12:20 Yeah. Wow. You ever talk to Whitney about that? Be like, Whitney, that was supposed to be my song. No, I was happy she did it because she did a phenomenal job but I still want to do it on a competitive level you'd be like I could have killed that better than her no way stop it Charlamagne I don't do like that no she killed it okay she slayed it I can do my job on it but not like her no not like her you don't ever feel that way when you get on the stage with some of the other women?
Starting point is 00:12:46 You're like, let me make sure they know who the queen is real quick. Never. Wow. No. Why should I? Yeah. Because you're you. You know, yeah, I don't like, I love competition, but I don't like to show off.
Starting point is 00:12:59 But it just comes out because I have this big old voice. And she comes out when she wants. And there's room for everybody because I'm sure it means so much for younger artists to have Patti LaBelle be like... You know how many young artists are like my daughters and sons? You know, like Fantasia and Jennifer Hudson. Oh, Jennifer and I are talking about my life back in the day when Aretha Franklin was back in my day
Starting point is 00:13:22 because she's portraying Aretha in this new movie. So she called me and said she wants me to talk to her about back in the day when Aretha Franklin was back in my day because she's portraying Aretha in this new movie so she called me and said she wants me to talk to her about back in the day times just to give her some kind of insight on how we lived and how we roll back in the day did you and Aretha really not get along no that's such a lie no no we we got along you know and I think she was going through something when everybody saw that moment. The video when she was walking out. At the White House. I think she was not well that day.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I took the high road. I loved on her even more after that. Because I didn't know. I know you have some amazing stories though. Oh, I do. I have a lot of stories. A lot I'll keep to myself. You don't feel like it's your duty kind of just to share?
Starting point is 00:14:11 To tell you? Yeah, because I think that's history right there. We need to hear some of that. There's so many things that I wish I could tell, but God don't like ugly. I can't tell. I mean, it could be positive things, too. Oh, there's a lot of positives. Yeah, that we've never heard before and that we would love to hear.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Yeah, let me get my book ready. You got to write a book one day, right? I have, but I'll write another one on my life life. You also did the Black Lady Sketch Show, which I love that you were on there. Oh, I just saw it the other day with my background singer. With my background singer. How did they approach you for that? How did that happen?
Starting point is 00:14:42 Because I was like, that's amazing. They just called my son and said, we would love your mother to do this HBO special. And I found out what it was. It was my singing on my own for the whole time, destroying this little girl's mind. Hey. Yeah. But I was happy to be asked to do that. And I'm doing a Hallmark movie that comes out December 20th with Holly Robinson-Pete.
Starting point is 00:15:04 I play her auntie. Family Christmas, right? Uh-huh. It's called Family Christmas? Oh, you know. That's what it's called. We do our homework a bit. I'm only messing with you this day.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Yeah. That's what it's called. Yeah. It sounds like I'm my own still hiss today, though, because, like, if you're going through something, that is a painful song to listen to. Isn't it sad? Yeah. I mean, really sad But true
Starting point is 00:15:27 You're on your own boo You're on your own And those are things That are timeless Like when you can hear something And be like I'm so hurt There's certain songs
Starting point is 00:15:34 You listen to When you're going through A breakup Like a breakup playlist That's definitely On the breakup playlist Oh of course Yes it has to be
Starting point is 00:15:41 Oh and something else Did you know I was supposed to do Nobody's Supposed to Be Here by Deborah Cox? Wow. That's another good break. I know Montel Jordan wrote it and called me and played it over the phone. And I said, oh, I don't like that song, Montel. He said, what? I said, I just don't feel it. Maybe it's not my time to listen to music. Sometimes you have that thing in your life where music just doesn't settle in your ear right and after I didn't do it and Deborah Did I slap myself?
Starting point is 00:16:09 It was her beginning so I was happy I let it go because Deborah got a chance to show how fierce she is Absolutely any songs you you you missed up on? Yeah, wait wait There's two more. I can't think right now. I Don't know Remember but yeah, I let a lot of stuff go. Yeah, what is it? What is it about a record just the fact that you just simply don't like it or the content of it? I don't like sometimes a bridge. Mm-hmm the melody sometimes on certain things some lyrics So I just messed up, you know, and after I did like I said, thank God she got it. Mm-hmm
Starting point is 00:16:46 Who do you think the best vocalist of all time is Aretha Franklin mm-hmm oh yeah what makes her the best she just has something from God that nobody has over Whitney yeah I mean Aretha Franklin let's look she's the voice of life mm-hmm nobody can sing like Aretha Franklin nobody can sing like Whitney Houston you know so I'll put them on two different levels right and Aretha's my queen yeah we were supposed to do a duet before she passed three months before she died she called me and we talked and we talked about back in the day she used to remind me of times we were in detroit at the club i said girl what club so i don't remember the club but i
Starting point is 00:17:31 remember we did hang and then i mean it was a good night if you don't remember it was a good night and so i said i want to record a song with you she said let's do it patty she really wanted to sing a duet with me why did y'all never do that when y'all was like younger that's why i don't know i don't know i had to wait until i've turned 80 90 100 years old like they are now to say let's do a duet did you know what the song was going to be already like no so i said what song would you like to sip anything with you patty i mean we had a good relationship that most people think we fought and like dinah rawls people thought we fought there's like so many ladies out there who well some are some are some are
Starting point is 00:18:15 some i can't talk about some of them you really didn't get along with oh of course yeah no they didn't get along with me i don't know why you really didn't get along with. Oh, of course. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, they didn't get along with me. I don't know why, but they didn't. And I said, I pray for you. Yeah. Because I'm loving on you. Every chance I get. Sometimes I love to a fault real hard.
Starting point is 00:18:39 And then somebody slaps me again in my face. I said, okay, that's the last chance. They say when somebody shows you who they are, you should just believe them. You believe it. Yeah. Right? And I do. When did you get to that point where you just realize like you know what i'm just gonna love on y'all because it couldn't always been like that it had to be a time when you like i'm gonna snatch her away especially coming up in this business maybe tough business to i don't really know when it happened but i do know when i've had enough
Starting point is 00:18:59 you know of this and me and all that kind of stuff. So I just, like I said, I kept praying for them. I was cool. Right. Yeah. How did the dissing work back then? Was it behind the scenes? Like they would see? In my face.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Really? Are you serious? Back then. Back then. Even today. What? In my face diss. Yeah. Nobody dissing you now.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Honey. Yes, they are. Come on, queen. Yes, they are, darling queen. Yes, they are. They can't diss. They didn't say. It's not what they say
Starting point is 00:19:25 it's what they don't say like i'm loving on you hugging you and stuff and you're like like backing away from me it happened two weeks ago and i said okay what two weeks ago a singer a singer younger older younger really uh-huh who is got to tell me who that is i can give her a donkey no way no you'll see soon you'll see wait wait hold on i'm making a movie of Really? Uh-huh. Who is it? You've got to tell me who that is so I can give her a donkey. No way. No, you'll see soon. You'll see? Wait, wait, hold on. I'm making a movie of people who diss me.
Starting point is 00:19:52 No, you are not. Yes, I am. No, you're not. I promise you. Really? It's called Patty's Sad Days. Really? Really. Why would I lie?
Starting point is 00:19:59 You going to name names? Yeah. You've said that three times this interview. I don't lie. I don't, but I'm going to say names. Wow. How are you going to hate on me? Give us a hint, though.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Give us a little bit of a hint. They just do. No way. I can't give you a hint because you'll know. Male or female? Oh, actually, two years ago, one of the biggest girls dissed me big time. I said, hi. Walking in the hallway.
Starting point is 00:20:19 We were doing a BET special. Uh-oh. That heifer looked at me and walked away. Get out of here. Patty Goldberg, heifer. Who is this heifer. I can't tell you yet. Watch my movie. She's still one of the biggest. No, she's huge. Even now? Yes. Beyonce.
Starting point is 00:20:34 No, wait, that's my baby. She's like my daughter. Rihanna? No, that's my other little girl. Who else big then? White or black? She's black. They're black. The ladies who dance me. It was a group? No, a girl. Hey, who else big then? White or black? She's black. Huh? And big? They're black. The ladies who dance make. It was a group? No, a girl.
Starting point is 00:20:50 A solo singer. She's bigger than Beyonce and Rihanna. Okay, forget it. I'm not talking. Watch my movie. Huh? Alicia Keys? No way. I can't even see Alicia Keys. I can't say Alicia doing that either. You'll never guess. Taylor said Ashanti. Who? That's my other baby.
Starting point is 00:21:06 No, honest to goodness, I have a bunch of kids who look to me as their mama or their auntie. And then there are some who look at me as this singer who we just don't want to bang with. Singer or rapper? A singer. Did you ever used to have... Singer or rapper. Did you have beef with women over guys ever? Never.
Starting point is 00:21:23 Never. Okay, just making sure. Because you know sometimes women won't like you because a guy likes you know, I think that kind of 40. Okay. No You said it was a rapper rapper singer rapper singer dancer Chef Chef chef chef now chef rapper singer dancer chef come on y'all earn your money come on we don't know who it is get my movie watch my movie no lizzo that's another baby rapper singer dancer chef who's cooking figure it out you should figure it out and when i come back to this show you'll all know so clearly they was mad that your pie's hitting better than theirs
Starting point is 00:22:00 must be the food there was somebody who was a little upset about that. Really? Honestly. You can't hate on Patty. No, I like to fill your minds with trying to figure stuff out. You got me wanting to see this damn movie. It's coming out next month. I've already started this movie.
Starting point is 00:22:16 I'm playing with us, Ms. Lavelle. That's hilarious. Why would I play with you? I love you. What network is coming on? CBS. No, HBO. HBO?
Starting point is 00:22:25 I don't know about the lady Patty. Patty played it. She did a whole movie. Y'all don't believe me. Okay, you'll see. Who produced it? Me. Patty Sad Days.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Patty Sad Days, I produced it. And it's just a bunch of artists you're putting on blast. Because they dissed you. Yeah, because I'm 75, honey. I've been dissed all my life. So I got to let everybody know who diss patty patty patty said you know that you're about to i'm gonna give every single one of them donkey of the day everybody on the list i can't even tell you who they are no it's in my movie though charles you're telling the truth he helped me produce it
Starting point is 00:23:01 charles helped me produce it but he can't he me produce it. Don't tell me produce it. But he can't talk. Wow. Yes. But let's speak about some better things. Go to Walmart and get my food. How's the patty pie business been doing? Patty pie is phenomenal. Booming.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Yeah, and like I said, a new peach cobbler with the double crust. Do you like peach cobbler? I love peach cobbler. You like a lot of crust? I do. I like when the crust is thick and flaky. That's what it is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:24 The only kind of pie I don't like is cherry pie. I've never been a fan of cherry pie. I don't either. And blueberry pie. And key lime pie. I don't like key lime. I don't like key lime, no. I love lemon meringue.
Starting point is 00:23:32 I like lemon meringue. And I love apple. I don't like pumpkin pie either. That's for white people. Me either. Yeah. They love some pumpkin pie. I like pumpkin pie.
Starting point is 00:23:39 And it looks just like a sweet potato. I always tell the people who love pumpkin to try my sweet potato, and you'll change over. I believe you. Why would you ever eat pumpkin pie? I never would. I like both. I really like dessert, period. Like, dessert is my favorite part of every meal.
Starting point is 00:23:56 I can eat dessert and not food. I don't do dessert too tough. I love dessert. I just make them. Okay, if you ever need a taste tester. I'll send it to you. You'll get it Is the food business more luxurious
Starting point is 00:24:06 I mean more lucrative than the music business Not yet But it will be You made some money off them pies now I was blessed I am blessed That pie was like the Popeye's chicken sandwich I know right They ran out of couple of times. That pie was like the Popeye's chicken sandwich. I know, right?
Starting point is 00:24:26 They ran out of potatoes in mine when they first started. Like, they needed 50,000 potatoes or something. What did they need, Charles, back in the day? A lot. You couldn't find any. Yeah, you couldn't find a pie. Yeah, but this macaroni and stuff, you won't be able to find it soon. Y'all better get it while it's hot.
Starting point is 00:24:43 No, that macaroni and cheese was good. That's what you did taste. Yeah, we ready to pop on in. Hey, Joey, did you taste it? No, I didn't. Why? With your cute self. How you know Joey already? I met Joey when we came in the building. Now, were you on The Masked Singer? People keep asking that. People ask me, was I the
Starting point is 00:25:00 B? Last year was Gladys Knight, who's my best friend. No, I'm not uh what did you call me a mass singer a mass singer I'm not saying yeah people were saying that you was on it on the show of course I watched Gladys yeah they said that you was on there people thought you was on why as claustrophobic as I am what I want to be under a big old mask and a suit that you probably can't walk in yeah or something plus your voice is so recognizable. I know. So why would I do it?
Starting point is 00:25:27 Maybe it is her. Okay. But keep calling me the flower. I'll trick you guys. When you see who everybody is under those masks, you won't see Patti LaBelle. Okay? Or you could be saying that to throw us off. I could. You have a lot of riddles this morning,
Starting point is 00:25:44 Miss LaBelle. The only thing you're being direct about is them damn pies and that mac and cheese yes and the kale greens black eyed peas and everything else but the mass singer i heard it's a very interesting show because when i watched gladys i did talk to her later after she finished she said patty. She said, I was in so much pain under all that stuff. Because you can't breathe, probably. And how can you sing? I can't be singing under no mask. Why are you looking at me like that?
Starting point is 00:26:14 I'm trying to figure out if you're lying or not. I know. She's not a liar. Patty, don't lie. Thank you. I'm a Gemini. I never lie in my life. That's what all Gemini say. Which side are you saying that right now? That's the worst side of me. I don't know who she is,
Starting point is 00:26:29 but she's here and she ain't lying. Is there anything that you feel like you want to do that you haven't done yet? Hmm. Gosh, probably. What? I don't know at this moment. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:26:43 I guess get 10 billion million albums sold. You still think about stuff like that? Heck yes. Really? Yeah, I mean, I really want to sell a lot of music. But I'm working on one now. Your legacy is priceless, though. It is.
Starting point is 00:26:55 Thank you. I mean, you probably won't realize it until later on in life, but the way we see you is totally different than you probably do yourself. Well, thank you. I wouldn't know you didn't sell all those albums. Right, but I haven't. Really? You sold a lot, though.
Starting point is 00:27:08 But guess what? It doesn't really bother me, but I would like to have that on my wall. Right. You know, 10 million sold on this one project or something like that. But I know that I've gotten everything that God wants me to have right now. And I'm so blessed. I could wake up in the morning with no pain, which is a blessing. So I'm going to gravitate to those 10 million albums.
Starting point is 00:27:32 So on one record. Like Thriller. Yeah, right. That did 100 million. Yeah, I could do 100 million. What would that do for Patti LaBelle, though? It would just elevate my mind. That's all.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Just for you personally. Yeah, for me. It's like a goal to do stuff like that. do for patty labelle though it would just elevate my mind that's all just for you yeah for me it's like a goal to do stuff like that and for me not to be looked at as a black woman when celine dion might sing my song and she'll get 10 billion cells and i'll get two yeah they always stuff like that yeah yeah well i love also celine is patty still dating are you still dating patty still dating who i'm dating i'm I'm dating?
