Bullets.

I've been waiting to come to y'all's show, man.
I know you gotta be a big-time celebrity to be up in here.
You gotta be big-time.
DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God.
The Breakfast Club, bitches!
Break the f*** out! Good morning, USA!
Hey, fam! Good morning, y'all. What's good?
I'm out here in L.A. It's BET Awards weekend, officially.
Now, I'm in L.A. and Charlamagne and DJ Envy are in New York.
But unfortunately, I believe there's been some traffic issues.
I believe that there are some tunnels and bridges and everything closed in New York.
I'm not there, so I can't tell you exactly what's happening.
If they just happen to be late, to be late.
But somehow I'm in L.A. on time.
Now, if you guys know the time difference, it's 3 a.m. here in L.A. right now.
Long flight.
I finally had the opportunity to watch the Beale Street movie on the plane.
I cried.
I felt like DJ Envy when he was watching Creed on the plane, bawling, crying.
But, you know, I'm going to be out here updating y'all what's going on BET Awards weekend.
Everybody's out here.
As soon as I walked into my hotel, it was nonstop action.
So also yesterday was the NBA draft.
And we're going to talk about that in front page news.
We'll also be talking about imagine if you're in the middle of divorce and you win the lottery.
What does that mean from the person that you're getting divorced from?
Should they share and get half of that money? We'll tell you what happened in the D in Detroit.
And also, do we have any guests this morning?
Guys?
Hey, Dramos.
Trina.
Oh, Trina.
Trina's even on the show today.
All right.
Well, Trina is going to be on the show.
Normally, Envy would announce that, but he's not there yet.
And Connie Orlando.
And Connie Orlando.
Okay, perfect.
She runs BET, so she'll be able to give us an update on what's happening this weekend for BET Awards.
Normally, you don't hear Dramas' voice.
Yeah.
Now, if you have Revolt or you watch the YouTube videos, he's the guy with the beard that Lizzo says is an F-boy
that normally sits in the corner and doesn't say much and plays with his beard.
But this morning, he's got to give me some updates on what's going on.
Is that what I do? I just play with my beard the whole time? He pushes buttons and plays with his beard. But this morning he's got to give me some updates on what's going on. Is that what I do? I just play with my beard the whole time?
He pushes
buttons and plays with his beard. There you go.
There you go. And I know Trina's
going to comment on your beard as well.
I think she's going to love it.
Now shout out to Trina because she just did my lip service live
show that happened in New York and she was really
amazing and she had a great time.
And she even posted about it.
And it really did mean a lot
to me because that's a lot of work that we put into that.
I'm still recovering from that show because
I was out until midnight, then had to go to work
and also go home and pack and then come
straight to LA, but we are running
on fumes right now. Let's get this
show started. We have front page news on the way.
It's The Breakfast Club.
The gang's all here.
First day of summer, it don't feel like it at all. all here. Yes. Hey, Yee. First day of summer.
It don't feel like it at all.
At least not in New York City.
No, it's nasty.
It's been nasty the last couple of days.
And the Lincoln Tunnel, that's the tunnel that connects Jersey to New York, was shut
down.
I guess one of the employees got hit by a car, so they shut it down for a little bit.
And I was done.
Sorry.
Sorry, Houston and Miami.
I know y'all don't care.
I'm just explaining.
I'm just letting y'all know what's happening in our world.
They care that y'all were late, but they just want to know why.
You were late too? No, I wasn't. I'm never late.
I'm supposed to get here at 6.05 every morning.
I don't know what's in y'all contract. You know what?
I gotta
restructure. Alright, let's get
into front page news.
Now last night was
the NBA draft and congratulations
to the New York Knicks. They picked up the number
one pick, Zion!
Why was you lying? Why would you lie?
Why would you let Satan use you to tell a bold
face lie like that? That didn't happen?
You're supposed to be some type of media authority
so some people may be listening to this like
really? How did that happen? Explain, Envy.
They don't get sarcasm? No.
Everybody knows that Zion Williamson was the
first name called for the NBA draft
and here's what he had to say in a very emotional speech as he got drafted to the New Orleans Pelicans.
My mom sacrificed a lot for me.
I wouldn't be here without my mom.
She did everything for me.
I just want to thank her.
Your mom was your coach when you were coming up.
She coached you until you were 14.
What are the sacrifices you feel as though she made for you?
She put her dreams aside for mine.
Dropping the Clues Bonds for that South Carolina kid, Zion Williamson.
Congrats to him.
Yes, congratulations to that young man.
How did our Brooklyn Nets do?
Who are?
They were number 27.
They got the 27th pick.
I thought they were number 17.
Oh, yeah, they got the 17th pick and the 27th pick.
You're absolutely right.
I don't know who they picked up, but they had the 17th pick and a 27th pick.
The Nets don't even know who they picked up.
It's only a...
But it was, the draft was at the Barclays, though.
It was at the Barclays.
It's a two-man, it was a two-man draft, okay?
Three.
R.J. Barrett.
Maybe.
R.J., yeah, R.J.'s cool.
You know what I mean?
Ja Morant, Zion Williamson.
I think it's sleepers, though.
I think Manu Bolson gonna ball out on the low. He's 7'6",
though, right? Yep, like his daddy.
Is he skinny or does he have a little weight on him?
Skinny, like his daddy.
What else we got, Ye? Let's talk about
a man in Detroit who won the lottery.
He won a $30 million lottery, but
now his ex-wife is
going to get half of that. Rich's Alaska
when his wife married Beth. They were separated for two
years.
He bought the Mega Millions ticket back in 2013.
Their divorce was finalized in 2018, and now he has to give her half.
Why?
Well, they were going through a divorce,
so they weren't divorced yet.
So they said the ticket was marital property.
Wow.
So, yeah, that's what it is.
What can you do?
So you mean to tell me if I'm married
and anything I go buy is considered marital property, if I buy a pack of M&Ms, half of her is considered half of hers? If you get a divorce, yeah. what it is. What can you do? So you mean to tell me if I'm married and anything I go buy is considered marital property,
if I buy a pack of M&Ms, half of her is considered half of her?
If you get a divorce, yeah.
That's wild.
And also, if you have a, I mean, if you had a prenup, I don't know how that would work.
You know, I know it's a state-by-state thing, but.
What about if it's stuff I can't use?
Like, I can't use her tampons.
You know what I'm saying?
I can't use her bra.
Now, who said you can't?
I can't.
Okay.
Yeah, you can.
You can. And do what with them? Put it up your butt? I don can't. Yeah, you can. You can.
And do what with them? Put it up your butt? I don't know.
Yeah, you can.
You can step that butt slow.
That's literally all y'all got every
day is butt jokes.
Y'all need writers.
Jesus Christ. What else you got, Yee?
Alright, so in Rhode Island,
as everybody else is trying to do
all these anti-abortion bills, Rhode Island wrote an abortion protection into law.
So Rhode Island's Democrat-controlled government passed a law to protect abortion rights as an effort to support Roe versus Wade as they are facing attacks nationwide from all the conservatives who are trying to take away women's rights.
Trying to?
Yes. Looks like they're doing a pretty good job to me away women's rights. Trying to? Yes.
Looks like they're doing a pretty good job to me.
It's not every state.
Not yet.
My goodness.
Well, as you can see, Rhode Island is one of those states that is protecting women's rights.
That's good.
That's amazing.
All right.
Well, last front page news.
Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you're upset, you need to vent, you can hit us up right now.
Maybe you had a horrible night, bad night, bad morning.
Maybe the bridge was shut down and you were late to work.
What bridge?
The tunnel. Lincoln Tunnel.
Or maybe you feel great.
And it doesn't just have to be me.
I'm sure there's a bridge shut down somewhere.
Or if you want to spread some positivity,
800-585-1051.
Hit us up now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.
This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed.
You better have the same energy.
We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
All right, Brittany, get it off your chest.
Good morning.
I just wanted to say I woke up very blessed today.
Yesterday, I was driving home from work, and I was in a drive-by shooting.
The guy in front of me had a red light, decided to get out the window,
and just start shooting back at us.
So today, I just woke up, and I feel blessed to be here.
You said he was shooting at you?
Why was he shooting at you?
Why was he shooting at you?
That's scary.
It was just a drive-by.
We were all stopped at a red light, and he just hung out the window
and just started shooting back at the cars that were stopped.
White guy or black guy?
He was an African-American male.
Jesus Christ.
Did they find him?
Did the cops find him?
No, they didn't.
They came over to my house.
They were there pretty much all day just trying to get information,
but they was asking questions like, what type of cars were around you?
And I'm like, I don't know.
He started shooting, and I ducked underneath his steering wheel.
I didn't look at anything else.
He had to be shooting at somebody.
What state are you in?
I'm in North Carolina in Fayetteville.
Jesus Christ.
Well, I'm glad you're okay, Mama.
Yeah, me too.
Thank you, guys.
Have a good one.
You too.
That is so scary. I can't imagine that. Nikki. Yeah, me too. Thank you, guys. Have a good one. You too. That is so scary.
I can't imagine that.
Nikki.
Yes, what's up?
Good morning.
Hey, Nikki, get it off your chest.
I'm both blessed and I'm mad this morning.
I'm blessed because God blessed me to wake up another day to be able to take care of my kids.
But I'm pissed off because I found a home
and I found out that the person
that appeared to be the landlord was
actually a scammer, so he took all of our
money and we ended up
getting kicked out by the bank
because the home was actually a foreign soldier
that he made it seem like
he was the landlord for.
Damn. That sucks.
There's nothing you can do about that.
How much money did he get from you, Mama?
He got $4,500 from her.
Sheesh.
And now you don't have a place to stay?
No, he went online,
he created a whole fake lease
and all of this stuff,
and then the sheriff came to the house
two hours later,
and they just kicked us out.
They didn't give us 30 days, nothing.
They said we had to go.
Damn, are you in Jersey?
If you're in Jersey,
I got you for a month.
You in Jersey?
I'm in Miami.
Oh, I'm sorry, mama.
Damn, I'm sorry.
That sucks.
If you was in Jersey,
I'd have put you up
in one of my apartments
for a month
to let you get yourself together.
I'm sorry, mama.
There's nothing you can do
to get that back?
I mean, we can't even find the guy
that gave them all of the information,
the police all of the information that we have,
but they said that they can't do nothing
because they don't even know if that's a real name.
These damn scammers, boy,
they don't care about people's lives at all.
No, they don't.
That's crazy.
All right, Mama.
Well, have a better weekend.
I'm happy that I'm still here.
Thank you guys for accepting my call.
I love all you guys.
All right. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, you can hit us up right now.
It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.
Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider
this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Laudonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't Iana tribe owned country. My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with
a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my god. What is that? Bullets. Bullets.
We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Hey, everyone.
I'm Madison Packer, a pro hockey veteran
going on my 10th season in New York.
And I'm Anya Packer, a former pro hockey player and now a full Madison Packer stan.
Anya and I met through hockey and now we're married and moms to two awesome toddlers.
And on our new podcast, Moms Who Puck, we're opening up about the chaos of our daily lives
between the juggle of being athletes, raising children, and all the messiness in between.
We're also turning to fellow athletes and beyond to learn about their parenthood journeys
and collect valuable advice, like FIFA World Cup winner Ashlyn Harris.
I wish my village would have prepared me for how hard motherhood was going to be.
And Peloton instructor and Ratchet Mom Club founder, Kirsten Ferguson.
And I remember going in there a hot mess.
So listen to Moms Who Puck,

Whether you're mad or blessed, we want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Angel, what's up?
Hey, good morning, Breakfast Club.
Hey, I just want to say, Angel, thank you for always being on time.
We appreciate you.
Listen, I always try to get here early because I always tell people if you're early, you're on time.
If you're late, if you're on time, you're late. Angelina Yves lives five minutes from the station, damn it.
Charlamagne and I live like 45.
Also, congratulations, Charlamagne, on Black Men Don't Cheat.
But Dramos, please, hit those fart bars on Charlamagne's verses
because they're whack.
I'm not a rapper, sir, so that doesn't offend me in the least bit.
It doesn't matter. Your part's whack.
Goodness gracious, Angel.
I am.
Hit those farts.
Hit the farts.
We hit it already, Angel.
Calm down, all right?
Thank you.
Thank you, sir.
I didn't hear it.
I didn't hear it.
All right.
Well, y'all have a blessed weekend.
How the hell you didn't hear it?
Oh, he didn't hear the fart you mean?
Yeah.
I didn't know that.
I thought this was Slender the Breakfast Club, the way he was going in.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, this is Reese.
Hey, Reese.
Get it off your chest.
Hey, fam.
Hi, how you doing,
Yee? So, I just wanted to bless, you know, LSA.
I hope that everyone has a blessed day and
that if you're going through anything
or if you're having little issues,
just put your faith and problems
on God and know that it will be solved.
There you go. Alright, well, that's right.
That's so sweet. We appreciate that. That helped out
a lot of people this morning. Bye, guys. That's 99 sweet. We appreciate that. That helped out a lot of people this morning.
Bye, guys.
That's 99.
I will say, though, we put a lot of pressure on God to fix our problems when a lot of these things we can fix ourselves.
Okay?
Sometimes you're in your way.
That is true.
Hello, who's this?
Shaina.
Hey.
Get it off your chest.
Good morning, guys.
How are y'all?
So, y'all, Florida is like one of the worst drivers in all America.
I'm a truck driver, and I've been to several accidents in Florida yesterday.
And I just want to encourage everybody to please stay safe out there on those roads.
Okay.
You in your truck now?
You a truck driver?
You in the truck now?
I am.
Hey, blow that horn for me.
I knew you was going to do that.
There you go.
All right, big up to all our truck drivers out there.
Shout out to all the truck drivers out there.
Thank you, mama.
Get it off your chest.
Well, we got time for one more.
CJ, good morning.
Hey, DJ, what's going on, man?
What's up, CJ?
Hey, it's DJ.
Oh, all right.
What up, CJ?
Hey, Envy, uh, Charlamagne, uh, Angela, you there? Yeah, they're here. Yeah, we're here every morning, 6 a.m. to 10 alright. What up, CJ? Hey, Salome and Angela,
you there? Yeah, they're here.
We're here every morning, 6am to 10am
for nine years. Well, 6.05 to 10am.
I got you. Hey, three things real quick.
Angela, you are so
beautiful. If I wasn't married, you'd be my
woman and you wouldn't be hiring me
like you're doing your boyfriend.
Oh.
You don't have to say thank you or nothing.
I'm not, well, I'm going to thank you for dissing my boyfriend.
No, I'm just saying you're beautiful.
You'll be my woman if I wasn't married.
All right, well, shout out to your wife.
Black men don't cheat, bro.
Go ahead.
Yup, yup.
But, hey, that's my second point.
Last Tuesday, I was getting off of work,
and I was trying to go see my side chick,
and the first thing I hear in the car is, black men don't cheat.
I want to thank you, Lil Duval, and Charlamagne, because once I heard that song, I turned right around, man.
That's right.
Went home and kissed my wife.
We out here doing God's work, and you need to stop running around here like a little black boy
and start being a real black man, because black men don't cheat, but black boys do.
So you broke up with your side chick?
Yeah, I'm not sweating no more.
It's not worth it.
Exactly, sir.
How old are you?
28.
See what I'm saying?
You still in that phase.
I understand.
But you know, you got to be a black man, not a black boy, sir.
Well, he's married.
Right, right.
And the last thing is, everybody be slandering you and empty for your gay jokes.
But I'm the same way.
Like, I'm secure in my masculinity.
I'm free to say and do whatever I want to do.
The main ones who be fake mad and trying to diss themselves,
those be the one on the down low.
All right.
Listen, with that said, I want you to know that today
is National Peaches and Cream Day, sir.
All right?
Oh, okay.
A shout-out to 112.
Hey, that be my dessert for the night, sir.
There you go.
All right.
And if you get a little cream on your bottom lip,
just lick it off with your tongue like a real man.
Hey, that's what my side chick used to do.
Stop talking about your side chick, man.
Grow up, sir.
He misses her.
All right.
Holla.
Holla.
All right.
Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, you can hit us up.
Now, Eve, we got rumors on the way?
Yes, we're talking about an artist who we all know and love,
and she's going through something right now,
and she was on social media talking about her depression.
So let's send her some love.
All right, we'll get into that next.
Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Good morning.
We got a shout-out to our newest family member, WYRB, Rockford's Power 106 in Rockford, Illinois.
They joined the club.
They joined the family.
Welcome, guys.
Welcome, fam.
How many margins we in now?
90-something.
90-something, yes.
God is good. Yes, andsomething, yes. God is good.
Yes, and welcome, family.
Look at God.
There you go.
All right, well, let's get to these rumors.
Let's talk Lil Durk.
Listen up.
It's just in.
All the gossip.
Gossip.
The Rumor Report.
Gossip.
Gossip.
With Angela Yee.
It's the Rumor Report.
The Breakfast Club.
Well, Lil Durk has been granted bond.
He's out of jail and he
has a curfew. He has to also wear an ankle monitor
at all times and he cannot have any
contact, direct or indirect, with
gang members and he cannot possess or be near
any weapons and he has to stay at least
200 yards away from the victim.
So, as you know, he's been booked for five
felony charges that includes criminal intent
to commit murder, aggravated assault,
possession of a firearm during commission of a felony,
possession of a firearm by a convicted
felon, and another charge of associating
with a criminal street gang to participate
in a crime. Now, tell me what I'm missing
because I thought he killed somebody, so why he got to stay away
from a victim if the victim dead?
I don't think he killed him. No, no, no, it was
attempted murder. Attempted murder, he didn't kill anybody.
And they said a pastor actually got him out,
testified, and said he was a good person and all that.
And they're not saying the pastor's name.
And they're saying because of that, that's how he was able to get released on bond.
Well, prayer works.
Right.
They're saying he's not a flight risk.
Correct.
And the judge clearly agrees with that.
He's not on house arrest, but he has to be in the house at 11 p.m., from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
Now, Fetty Wap is in trouble.
He is being accused of manhandling a woman
that he met at a video shoot.
Apparently, they were going back to an Airbnb.
They were having a party.
It was several other women as well.
They said at some point during that evening,
the accuser went to the room with Fetty Wap
and things allegedly got a little violent.
They said there was a witness
who was one of the accuser's friends
who was in the room,
and they said she was upset.
The woman was upset because of the other women that he'd invited back to the house,
and she was screaming that he put his hands on her and dared him to do it again,
and that's when he allegedly smacked the phone out of her hand.
Yeah, I saw the video.
They got video of it.
Mm-hmm.
What did you think when you saw the video?
I think people are going to learn about dogging women out in 2019.
Like, that hard-on-thoughts movement is going to get a lot of y'all in situations like this.
That's what I think.
All right.
Now Lizzo, she posted and we love Lizzo so much on the Breakfast Club when she was up here.
She's been on lip service.
She's an amazing person.
And she posted, I'm depressed and there's no one I can talk to because there's nothing anyone can do about it.
Life hurts.
And then she said, I self-love so hard because everything feels like rejection. It feels like
the whole world be ghosting me sometimes. Sad as F today, but this too shall pass. Shout out all the
messages of love. Thank you. That's real though. I mean, what she said, you know, self-love. Your
first, last and best love is self-love. Period. So we're sending some love to you right now, Lizzo.
Absolutely. Other people may not show up for you right now, Lizzo. Absolutely.
Other people may not show up for you, but you can always show up for your goddamn self.
All right, now let's talk about Lil Nas X. He has his remix featuring Cardi B and Billy Ray Cyrus.
So do you guys want to hear it?
Sure.
It's a remix?
Well, it I take you everywhere, then will you know how to walk? If I spoke on your behalf, then will you know how to talk?
If I gave you everything and everything is what I bought, I can take it all back.
I know you care about what you thought.
Look, gunshot, gunshot, thought you heard about me.
Must not, must not, like they can see me dirty, dirty.
Like a bathroom in a truck stop, truck stop.
Now my heart, it feel like willow.
I'm hard like a remix to me.
That's what I thought at first.
But it's Rodeo featuring Cardi B, and that's off of his debut EP 7.
I love Cardi B, so anything she does, I love.
That song does sound like Old Town Road.
It sounds like a remix to it.
It sounds like they kind of revamped it kind of Yeah so when I first heard it
I thought it was another remix
But it's actually a new song
Called Rodeo
It does sound like
Another country song
It don't necessarily sound
Like Old Town Road
It's got a country vibe to it
It's a play off of it
A little bit I think
Alright so
And if you loved
Old Country Road
Hey you're gonna love
Rodeo as well
Maybe not
Cause Rodeo didn't catch me
Like that immediately
I gotta listen again.
Alright now
another person
whose old song came out
she's been teasing this
Nicki Minaj
Megatron
we told you
was gonna drop
at midnight last night
so if you haven't heard it
there's also a video
so make sure you
watch the video
and here's a snippet of that.
They call me Megatron
just did a telethon
he got my jealous on
and I get my jealous on
I fuck him like I miss him
he just came out of prison
He talking s*** but they ain't got a pot to piss in
My name is Nicky M, I'm in the sticky bins
And that mean it's candy, apple, red
I'm Barbie, this is Ken
That is a Fendi fact, I'm with the 100 max
Oh, this is custom made, Donna Teller sent me that
Fill up, baby, fill on me
Pull up if you're feeling lonely
Fill up, baby, fill on me Pull up if you're feeling lonely All right.
What'd y'all think about that with the little heads high sample?
Got to hear more of it.
Same thing with the rodeo record.
Well, I'm sure Envy's going to play it this morning, right Envy?
I've only heard snippets.
I throw back on Friday.
I play Flashback on Friday.
It's not sticking
to my ribs yet.
I got a vibe
with these records
this weekend.
I'm only hearing snippets.
I haven't heard
either one of these records before.
The video's dope.
I think Nicki Minaj's song
is cool.
I like when Nicki spits, though.
Like, when she's rapping,
rapping, but this is
for what, you know,
she's going for a single.
You've heard the whole song?
I heard the whole song.
Okay, yeah, I haven't heard
the whole song.
I haven't watched the video.
Listen, I always like a little reggae-themed song,
so, you know, I like when she does that.
All right, I'm Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report.
All right, thank you, Miss Yee.
Now, we got front-page news when we come back.
Man, let's talk about the NBA draft,
because I know y'all want to talk about Zion Williamson.
That was very predictably first pick,
and we'll discuss what he had to say about his inspiration.
All right.
We'll get into that next.
Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
All right.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ, MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
What's happening?
Let's get in some front page news.
Now, last night was the 2019 NBA draft.
Congratulations to Zion.
We knew he was going number one, and we also knew that he was going to the Pelicans.
So congratulations to him.
South Carolina's own.
Drop on the clues, Bons.
For Zion Williamson, damn it.
Yes, it was a very teary-eyed occasion.
Here's what he had to say about his mama.
Well, the journey is just beginning, young man.
That's right.
Being number one doesn't guarantee success.
Look no farther than Kwame Brown and Greg Oden.
He'll get a lot of bread, but I think he'll do fine.
He's a great player.
I think he'll do okay.
What else we got, Ye?
Well, they're saying that artists and labels are reportedly losing $300 million in potential revenue,
and that's all because of fake streams.
Now, there was a new report from Rolling Stone that put that out,
and it says that there's computerized click farms and bots.
Duh.
And that's become a rising concern for people in the industry
because there's generated streams that are coming from potentially fake users.
Duh. We knew that already.
You can't compete with these major
corporations when it comes to these streaming
services, especially when they're doing
these sponsorship deals and you got these companies
like Pepsi and Coke and whoever
else buying 200 million streams before
albums even come out. How can you compete?
Yeah, they said 3-4% of global
streams are fake.
And right now,
you know,
the technology is people aren't able
to keep up with protecting
the new technology
that's out there.
Nothing's real, man.
No, nothing's real at all.
Your votes don't matter.
Your streams ain't real.
A lot of people
get a lot of money
off of that fake stream stuff
too, though.
But whatever works.
Are they, though?
Yeah, I think so.
Who's getting the money?
The labels must be
because they're damn sure
they ain't the artists.
No, I said the labels are losing money because of that.
Mm-hmm.
So who's faking the streams then?
I would think that's something the labels would be doing.
No, they don't get money from it. I know a lot
of artists I heard were faking
some of the streams and they can renegotiate
and say, hey, I streamed this amount of
units and I should be
getting this amount of money. How do artists fake screams?
Somebody send that manual over.
Yeah, I guess they have bots.
It's a website, dog.
You just released a single.
Why?
You're going to see a black man don't cheat.
You think I wouldn't fake some screams?
Me and Duvall was just talking about that yesterday.
Were you going to go triple platinum?
No, he was just talking about, he was saying the same thing.
Like, you got all of these people faking screams.
Absolutely.
Remember back in the day, they used to fake the followers on Twitter and the followers on Instagram. It's the same thing. They still do got all of these people faking screams. Absolutely. Remember back in the day they used to fake
the followers on Twitter
and the followers on Instagram?
It's the same thing?
They still do that, Envy.
They still do, oh.
It's a little different
with screams, though, right?
Nah, you can get money
from that.
People, you know,
were paying you to advertise
depending on how much
Instagram followers
you had and all that.
I'm going to tell you
how that kills you now, though.
People be having
all of these followers
but they don't get
no engagement, exactly.
So you can have somebody
that got 20,000 followers
but their engagement is crazy.
They also have
all these apps now
because I think
they've caught on to that
so they can tell
when people have
fake followers
and they can tell
when it's bots
so you can actually
go through that
and tell.
Well I wish they would
go through mine
because I'm so tired
of getting spammed.
You have no idea
how much I...
You don't want to see
this woman masturbate?
I told you what to do man.
Man I ain't got time for that.
I don't got time
to go into my search engine
and type words like masturbate. All you got to block is masturbate. I told you what to do, man. Man, I ain't got time for that. I don't got time to go into my search engine and type words like masturbate.
All you got to block is masturbate.
What else did it say?
I look...
I block all the cartoon people already.
It's this one woman
that's always had to name
a girl badder than me.
Then it's another woman
asking me to always...
We got to use that clip later.
Who wants to see me masturbate?
I block masturbate.
I block batter,
so I don't have to see her no more.
I block all those. I block batter so I don't have to see her no more. Put those two together. I block all those.
I hate spam. Alright, now
let's move on. A woman named Marijuana Pepsi
just got her PhD. She did a whole
dissertation on black names. Her name is
what? Marijuana Pepsi.
Her mama named her Marijuana?
I guess so. She's a 46-year-old woman from
Wisconsin. She was teased a lot
for having a name like that.
And, yeah.
You're going to name your child Marijuana?
Why would they do that to her?
And her middle name Pepsi?
That's not an obstacle she should have had to overcome in her life.
I know what her mama liked when she was growing up, Marijuana and Pepsi.
Why did that happen?
So she would go by.
Imagine trying to get a job and you got to write in,
send in your resume, Marijuana, Pepsi.
How DSS and diapers never visited your house?
I'm curious.
I would have definitely changed my name earlier.
I understand saluting her now, but that's an obstacle she should have never had to overcome.
That's crazy.
Why is her name Marijuana Pepsi?
Why?
Nobody around to say that's not a good idea?
Well, she said that despite the fact that many people place blame on her mother for giving her that name,
she credits that for turning her into the powerful, ambitious woman that she is today.
Nah, man.
I'm telling you what she said.
I ain't going to tell her nah.
Because, man, there's certain obstacles that we can't help but have to overcome.
You know what I'm saying?
When you're born in certain situations, you got to transcend certain circumstances.
That one right there is absolutely a poor choice that somebody made.
Absolutely.
Marijuana, Pepsi, like you ain't have to do that to your child.
Why? He ain't like it, kid. Come on, man. Marijuana, Pepsi. You ain't have to do that to your child. Why?
He ain't like it, kid.
Come on, man.
That makes no sense.
You didn't want kids.
Does she have siblings?
What they named it.
She's a doctor now.
All right.
Congratulations.
I don't know about her siblings, but now she's a doctor.
When you go to that doctor, let's be honest.
Drop one of the clothes bumps with Dr. Pepsi.
Well, she's got a PhD.
Dr. Marijuana, Pepsi.
Would you go to that doctor?
Dr. Pepsi sound like a bootleg soda. I wanted a Dr. Pepper. Y'all already bought me a Dr. Pepsi. There's no such thing as Dr. Pepsi. Well, she's got a PhD. Dr. Marijuana Pepsi. Would you go to that doctor? Dr. Pepsi sounds like
a bootleg soda.
I wanted a Dr. Pepper.
Y'all already bought me
a Dr. Pepsi.
There's no such thing
as Dr. Pepper.
She's not a doctor.
She earned her PhD
in higher education leadership.
But, you know,
so she's a doctor.
You just said she was a doctor.
No, that's her PhD,
but it's not a doctor like,
you know.
Not a doctor doctor,
but a doctor.
She goes by Dr. Marijuana Pepsi,
Vin.
All I'm saying is
that's an obstacle
she should not have had to overcome in her life.
I was about to say her last name.
I don't want to say that either.
What is it?
What is it?
Pepsi's not her last name?
No, that's her middle name.
Marijuana Pepsi Van Dick.
Marijuana Pepsi Van Dick.
Okay, so she was conceived in a van.
The mother loved it.
She was high and drinking Pepsi.
There you go. That's how they got that name. Put it together. The mother loved it. She was high and drinking Pepsi. There you go.
That's how they got that name.
Put it together.
Marijuana Van Dick.
Jesus Christ.
Thank you, Yee.
Dr. Marijuana Pepsi Van Dick to you.
All right.
Well, that's front page news.
Now, when we come back, Trina will be joining us.
Trina!
She has a number one album right now.
I saw she posted her album as number one.
I'm mad I missed Trina.
I wasn't here for Trina. That's the homie right there. Yeah, we did it. her album as number one. I'm mad I missed Trina. I wasn't here for Trina.
That's the homie right there.
Yeah, we did it.
She was mad at you.
What are you mad at me for?
It got kind of aggressive, so I had to phone a friend.
So I had to FaceTime Charlamagne.
Probably the only time I ever FaceTimed Charlamagne.
Yeah, it was.
That's the only reason I answered, because I thought it was some type of emergency.
It was so weird that you FaceTimed him.
Because y'all were getting at me and him so bad.
I needed help.
I had to phone a friend.
So we'll get that on next.
So don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired? Depressed? A little bit
revolutionary? Consider this.
Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like,
this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Ladonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Kaperburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
Why can't I trade my own country?
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullet holes.
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, guys.
I'm Kate Max.
You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more.
After those runs, the conversations keep going.
That's what my podcast, Post High is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories,
their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together.
You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout? Well, that's when the real magic happens. So if you love hearing real,
inspiring stories from the people you know, follow, and admire, join me every week for Post Run High.
It's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the heart of it all. It's
lighthearted, pretty crazy, and very fun. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or, you look so fresh. And his name, Elian Gonzalez, will make headlines everywhere.
Elian Gonzalez.
Elian.
Elian.
Elian.
Elian.
Elian.
Elian Gonzalez.
At the heart of the story is a young boy and the question of who he belongs with.
His father in Cuba.
Mr. Gonzalez wanted to go home and he wanted to take his son with him.
Or his relatives in Miami.
Imagine that your mother died trying to get you to freedom.
At the heart of it all is still this painful family separation.
Something that as a Cuban, I know all too well.
Listen to Chess Piece, the Elian González story,
as part of the My Cultura podcast network, available on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We got a special guest in the building.
The baddest itch, Trina.
That sounded terrible.
You can't leave bitch because the baddest itch sounds like somebody's itching.
Ration or something like that.
You say it then.
I ain't gonna call her bitch.
You can say it.
All right, the baddest bitch, Trina.
Goodness gracious.
Envy.
Welcome.
What's up?
You know, I'm excited that Trina got a new album, The One.
Yes, yes, yes.
And I heard that song that we all love.
Let's not go there first.
Let's not go there first. On his face. Oh, Lord. It's not like it's about to be one of them days. We gonna play that. We, yes, yes. And I heard that song that we all love. Let's not go there first. Let's not go there first.
On his face.
Oh, Lord.
It's not like it's
about to be one of them days.
We're going to play that
when we're going to play
them records.
We are going to play
those records, okay?
You got an album coming out.
Congratulations on that.
Thank you.
Finally, I'm excited.
Before we get to the album,
let's talk your other job,
love of hip hop.
Okay.
Oh, gosh.
Do you regret doing that now?
No.
I don't regret it
because I don't really have
drama like that on the show.
That's not one of my
most favorite things. I think with the time and the filming, I'm not really like, I'm not a schedule person. I don't really have drama like that on the show. That's not one of my most favorite things.
I think with the time and the filming, I'm not really like, I'm not a schedule person.
I like to be on my own schedule.
Other than that, I don't really have like, you know, the issues.
I have my little stuff to label with Bobby, you know, this and the other.
My only thing that I don't like is the reunion we have for me and Trick.
That's like the only thing that kind of like went left for me.
And I mean, it's contrary to the fact me and Trick fight every day. But it was just
on TV and it just got, I was, it just
went, it just blowed up, escalated kind of
big. I just, that's the only thing I don't like. I felt
bad watching the show and I was like, cause
I saw that you were getting very upset
and emotional. It's your career and
things that you're doing and it felt like he wasn't
taking it as seriously. Thank you. I'm happy
somebody said it because everybody don't seem to
understand why I got so mad.
Why'd you get so mad at Trick?
Because Trick was just,
he was like antagonizing.
He was taunting me.
He does it all the time,
but I think this particular day,
I think I was really sensitive
because we were talking
about the album
and of course he knows
how hard I beat in the studio
and been fighting
to get him in the studio.
And just for him to just be like,
it's nothing.
I just felt like
this is not the time
to do that on television
And of course a lot of stuff
Was beat down
So you didn't really get to hear
Some of the things
That he said before
I just lost it
You know
So that kind of just
Made me feel bad
And I mean
We made up
Of course
We're gonna make up
I mean he's my brother
So I'm always
How was that conversation?
He calls me in the morning
At 7am
He just be calling every morning
He be just talking
And talking and talking
So I'm like,
okay,
finally I gotta have
a conversation.
I have to meet up
with him face to face
so we can hash this out.
And of course,
I think,
I think,
Where did y'all meet at?
At a restaurant
in Miami.
And I think the,
I think what happened,
it needed to happen.
I just didn't want
it to happen that way.
Like I wish it wasn't
through a love
or hip hop scenario
because he's always
done stuff to me
that I don't like,
but I always just brush it off
because this is my brother
you know
but I think I got
kind of fed up
and I just wanted him
to understand like
stop playing with me
and taking me for a joke
because I really work hard
and you know it
and I'm always here
with you and for you
and the fact that you
won't commit to coming
to the studio
and do this album
and then the fact
that you say
oh well you don't like
my records because
they're not like
the baddest bitch records
they're like too soft
and watered down
and the diamond
whatever all this stuff I was like bro that's just not cool to me so that's. They're like too soft and watered down and the diamond, whatever, all this stuff.
I was like, bro, that's just not cool to me.
So that's why I really like lost it
because I'm like, yeah, you do this in private,
but you're not going to do it in public.
And that's kind of how it happened.
So now we meet up and we talk
and I think he really have, he understands
because he's, I felt like he was hurt.
I was hurt.
So I know I felt like he was hurt.
And just our conversation, it came up.
It was organic.
Of course it's trick.
And he's going to always,
nobody else is going to talk to him like that. And nobody's going to talk to him like that and nobody's gonna talk to me like that he's not
gonna allow it so it's one of them kind of things we talked and he was like you know i'm sorry he
said he was sorry he never says that right so of course for me you know um i felt better and i mean
i think i feel like he gets it he realized like dang this is not from now days like she's really
grown she's really out here doing her thing she's really making it happen so i can't be just knocking
her down knocking her down, knocking her down.
I mean, I think from my conversation after meeting him, he got that.
And what was his problem?
He felt that...
He just feels like...
This is Trix's problem.
Trix feels like...
He feels like I don't like to do records that are like the continuation of now.
Okay.
The street records, Booty Shake, Poppin'.
I mean, I do, but I'm grown up.
You do it all.
You do other things too.
I mean, you gotta do,
he hates when I do any love record.
He hates the slow, melodic.
But the women love that.
That's what I'm trying to say,
but he feels like
that's not the baddest bitch,
that's the diamond princess,
that's soft, that's weak,
and he feels like
that's the reason why
all these new artists,
the girls,
it's like,
sound like me
or they stealing my sound
or they doing this
because I don't wanna do those records.
I wanna do these soft, mushy,
and I don't do all soft, mushy records.
I do records for women.
I feel like it helps them out.
You go through a bad relationship.
You're trying to get your stuff together.
Trying to make sure your bag is secure.
Whatever the case is.
And he just, we just always clash with that.
Don't you feel like the younger artists do pay homage to you?
Of course.
And I love that.
I mean, I should.
I love that.
It's inspiring because when I hear the music, I can hear me through it.
You know?
And most of these artists I met already.
I've been around them.
I've seen them recite my songs.
I've seen them do, like, do my song like it was me.
So, like, I fan out over that.
I love that.
Part of what I like about the City Girls is it's reminiscent to me of Trina.
Yeah.
Like, it reminds me of you.
But I don't mean that in a negative way.
But it's like, oh, it's like nostalgic for me.
And they from Miami.
They grew up under me.
They love me.
They go in the studio.
They listen to my old albums before they do their music.
So I get it.
When I hear it, I be like pumped.
That just gives me way more energy.
It just makes me more excited.
It makes me feel way more like just able to keep going because I'm watching what they're doing.
I'm like super excited.
I'm always talking to them like, yo, don't worry about the haters.
Don't worry about the internet.
The internet trolling, all that noise.
Dead, dead.
Just focus on the back.
You give Young Miami Vice all the time?
I give Young Miami advice almost every day.
Every day we talk.
She just wrote me a message
last night.
I was in the car like crying.
I was like, I can't,
but she just said
some of the sweetest things
because I'm always telling her
like, you know,
it's realistically,
people can say
whatever they want to say,
but you actually
got into the game.
The other half of your group
is not here.
It's not even many guys
that's going to hold down
a group and do that.
But like worrying about somebody else, you actually are hold down a group and do that. But like,
worrying about somebody else,
you actually are holding down
a whole group,
a whole,
I mean,
a whole,
your whole partner,
like a whole situation
that is really difficult
when you're getting
all the backlash,
people saying so much stuff.
That's,
that could be a lot,
you know,
especially for a new artist.
She's young.
She's sensitive to everything
somebody says.
And now she's pregnant.
And now she's having
another baby,
another baby.
I mean,
so I, I like, I'm always like encouraging her, like, no, no, no, no, no, no another baby. I mean, so I like, I'm always
like encouraging her like, no, no, no, no, no, baby.
You know, get your bad bitch attitude on. You tell them
all the haters, kiss it, and you keep on
focusing on making your money, take care of your family,
worry about your family, your sister, your son, your
newborn baby, your mom, everybody that means something to you,
that's what you focus on. The rest of this stuff, they're not
putting money in your pocket. They're not cashing your check.
So why you even care about what they gotta say?
You know, I love her. This is like my baby. So I'm going to
always encourage her because I've been in this game for so
long and you can't knock me. So for
her, I just want to make sure she stays strong
and not be weak because she, you know, she gets
sensitive about a lot of little stuff. So I'm always talking
to her. Ooh, girl. Well, let's talk about you.
We're going to talk about me.
The one. I want to talk about
some of the songs on this album,
like Get Money. Get Money.
That felt like a very personal song, like something happened to you in real life.
And we've seen you on social media.
It seems like somebody did something to you and people were trying to figure out what woman betrayed you.
Oh, you know these women.
They so catty and so shady.
That was a situation that happened like a while ago.
That song, I did that song.
Rico Love produced that record.
And that record was, it was between me and a girl That was my friend
And like you my homie
Like this is my ride or die
I'm riding with you
I'm rocking with you
But you really
You switch sides
Like you jump ship
And you went against the grain
I can't rock with you no more
I love you and it hurts
But I can't rock with you no more
So does he steal from you
Or does he
No you didn't steal
You just try to play both sides
Of the fence of a situation
That I just feel like
Like if I leave a situation
You leave
We all leave
We all go
Where you going
staying hanging around
like a bum?
Don't be talking
to my man, my ex.
Talking, hanging,
riding, flying.
Like, you do what's
doing the most,
my like, relax
and pump your brakes.
But you know,
that's what that song
is about.
One thing I noticed
about Trina is,
you see a lot of rappers
in the industry.
Why are you going
back and forth like that,
Trina?
She's dancing.
I'm just in a good mood.
I'm just having a good time.
She's vibing.
But you know,
one thing about Trina
is Trina never,
I've never seen Trina broke.
I've never seen Trina without money. I've never seen them foreclosed on Trina Cribb. I've never seen none good time. Keep vibing. But you know, one thing about Trina is Trina never, I've never seen Trina broke. I've never seen Trina without money.
I've never seen them foreclosed on Trina crib.
I've never seen none of that.
So how, Trina's like, yeah.
So how has Trina been able to keep the bag for so long?
It's Trina.
Like, I mean, I'm the bag secure.
I always secure bags.
I've been doing this for so long.
I just make sure I stay focused.
And when I'm, I mean, I work.
I don't just sit around and just, oh, I put out a record.
I'm going to just sit back and chill and let it do it for me.
I perform. I tour. I constantly, I'm working more than I'm doing anything else. You know what I'm, I mean, I work. I don't just sit around and just, oh, I put out a record. I'm going to just sit back and chill and let it do it for me.
I perform.
I tour.
I constantly, I'm working more than I'm doing anything else.
You know what I'm saying?
So I'm always making sure my bag is coming in and coming home.
But no matter, I don't care if I don't have an album.
I don't care if I decide to not do music no more.
I want, I have to, I need, I have an expensive, extravagant lifestyle.
You know what I mean?
So I'm always working.
I'm always busy.
I'm always elevating.
I'm always making money.
I'm never, I don't feel like I feel like I'm never going to have enough money.
And when she's not working, she's a homebody, just so you know.
When I'm not working, I'm at home on my big couch,
watching TV, watching Netflix, reruns, whatever.
Boot up.
Yeah, boot up sometimes.
I'm boot up sometimes.
I'm just home by myself.
I'm always boot up.
You know that.
I told you this the last time I came here. I have a man, a whole relationship.
I wanted to see if it was going.
Is it going?
It's still going.
It's three years in the making.
So it's great.
Thank you.
I'm very happy.
The money is good.
The money comes in the bag secure.
You know, I got a big roof over my head.
I stay, you know, grinding.
So it's all good.
That's what I'm talking about.
And you sitting on that face too.
All right.
Let's keep it real.
Always.
That's a good thing about being in a relationship.
You can sit on his face anytime you feel like it.
I mean, that's a part of life.
It is.
Women like that.
Like, right?
Everybody has their face. Don't suffocate the man, though. Everybody has a face to sit on his face anytime you feel like it. I mean, that's a part of life. It is. Women like that, like, right? Everybody has their face.
Don't suffocate the man, though.
Everybody has a face to sit on.
I mean,
if I'm not doing,
what else is he doing?
You ever suffocated him
and he started coughing?
No.
I'm a good face rider,
you know,
so I'm good.
Some guys like being suffocated.
What makes a good face rider?
I mean,
that you know what you're doing
and you could be either like,
you could be a squirter,
you could be like,
you could just drown him.
I'm going to just stop
because y'all not going to have me
turn down all this morning.
It's too early.
No, you just got to be,
you just got to be a good romantic.
You just got to know what you know.
You got to,
what I learned though,
I'm going to be honest,
over the years,
because I've had some
unsatisfying moments.
What I've learned though,
you need to make sure
that you're satisfied.
I've been in a situation
where it was mostly,
I just,
I'm in a relationship
and I want the relationship to work.
I want both people to be, you know, completely happy.
But I found out a lot of times that I fell short and I wasn't happy out of the situation, you know.
And so I just feel like now I got to make sure it romantically, however it is, I'm going to be completely satisfied.
Whether you are or not, that's you.
Because I realize that men worry about them.
You got to make sure you are good.
And as soon as I learned that method, whoo.
And a man that loves you is satisfied
when you're satisfied.
Yeah.
I feel like.
I believe that's true
because I don't think a man,
I don't feel like if you're not making sure
this woman is satisfied,
what are you really doing?
Correct.
So let's do this, Yee.
What?
She has a, let's play a record
because in this record,
she names a lot of people in this record.
Oh my God.
Okay, let's play this song.
Maybe these people didn't satisfy her.
So let's play this record.
Unsatisfactory.
You want to introduce the record, Ye?
I think Trina should introduce her own record.
All right, introduce this record, Trina.
Featuring Nicki Minaj.
Featuring Nicki Minaj.
Go ahead.
Oh, what's up, y'all?
This is Trina.
This is my new record.
It's called Baps featuring Nicki Minaj.
All right, let's get into it.
You're going to have me introduce her record.
She's sitting right here.
We'll talk about it when we come back.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Now, that was Trina featuring Nicki Minaj.
It's called Baps.
Now, that's a bop.
So, Trina, for the unsatisfactory experiences with these men,
were any of them named in this song?
Yeah.
Woo.
Okay, I'm sorry to hear it.
Yeah, definitely.
It's cool, though.
You move on.
You know what it is. It is what it is. Like, you got to be grown. I'm an adult. We're grown. Everybody, definitely. It's cool, though. You move on. You know, it is what it is.
Like, you got to be grown.
I'm an adult.
We're grown.
Everybody got to be grown about the situation.
Yeah, it was a lot of unsatisfactory in some of the names.
Damn.
There's going to be some backlash there.
Whatever.
It is what it is.
Let's run it.
So how did you and Nicki Minaj team up on this record?
Because Nicki is, she don't really do too many features a lot of times.
Yeah.
Well, this Nicki, she was in Miami working on her album.
And we was just going back and forth.
And I told her I was working on my album and I wanted her to get on an album.
So she told me to come by the studio.
So I pulled up at the studio.
She was playing some stuff.
This was before her album came out, the Queen album.
Right.
And she played some stuff for me and it was dope.
And then this is one of the records that we came up with.
You know, it was an amazing experience to do the record with her.
What's some of the names that she said?
Let me write these down.
Okay.
All right.
Well, she mentions Tory Lanez.
Tory Lanez.
Tory Lanez.
I know you dated Tory.
That's my homeboy.
Tory, Tory's cool.
You know, I knew Tory way before everybody knew him.
I came up here with my F Love record.
That's how I first knew Tory.
He gave me that record.
But, you know, he's a cool person, but, you know.
He's called a straight bullet.
Straight one.
Okay, French.
French.
You got to set it off with French.
Don't look at me.
We know about that. What, what, what? We. You got to set it off for French. Don't look at me. We know about that.
What, what, what?
We is not going to indulge in this conversation
because I don't got time to be clapping back on in there with this guy.
I'm just telling you right now, let's keep it cute again.
I dodged a bullet.
We all know what it is.
She said she dodged a bullet.
That one, all right.
Yeah.
Okay.
What were you going to say, Trina?
Nothing.
Okay.
James Harden.
Why are you looking at me?
She curving him. Okay, James Harden. I just at me? She curving him
Okay James Harden
I just curve
I mean no
It's cool
Let's be clear
This is a situation
I was in a couple years ago
Everybody knows
It was very quick
It was like
It was oh this is my man
We're booed up
No
We were in a situation
You know he's a person
He's cool but you know
I love it that they're cool
But they catch a straight bullet
Yeah you gotta get the bullet
Cause I'm not the person
See I'm not the game play
You're not gonna play with me
Go play with the rest of them
Don't play with me
Once you step home
In my place When you start playing the games,
you got to go. I don't play that, baby. I don't care
what you do, what contract. I don't care
about none of that. You gots to go.
So you're not going to no big three games?
Shut up, Yeet.
I'm going to fight you, yo.
I mean, everybody know that situation. That's a situation that happened long,
long, long, long, long time ago.
You know, unfortunately, that's what it is. I mean, people just
grow. They grow up. That was a bad situation.
You did a bad thing.
It ended up over.
Our courage is over, you know?
So when you see people,
like when you see them,
do you say hi?
Is it all love?
Or do you just keep it moving?
I probably will say hi
if they say hi.
You ain't speaking to French, Montana.
I performed with French
at the Puff Daddy's tour in Miami.
That don't mean you spoke to him.
Oh, yeah, you did.
It's French.
Come on, everybody know how French is.
He's going to laugh.
He's going to be silly.
He's going to be crazy. He's going to be crazy.
He's going to talk trash.
I don't care.
I did my concert.
You're in my seat.
I'm going to shut it down.
I did, boy.
I dedicate it to you.
It is what it is.
And that's that.
Plus, he probably know.
He's cool.
I don't have a problem with French.
I don't have no problem with him.
It is what it is.
People know you got to be accountable for your own situations.
You was not my man, so it doesn't matter.
But you know you did some foul shit.
And that's that.
And it is what it is
It's done
Any other names
You hear on that?
That was it
That's it
I'm just asking
That's so messy
Messy, messy, messy
I like the song
Thank you
Who's your favorite ex?
Damn you
I would guess
Little Wayne
Cause y'all always
Still work together
And it seems like
You still have a friendship
Yeah Wayne is a good friend
Wayne is my friend
Wayne is just
Wayne is so different
Than like everybody Cause he's in his own world He's so respectful He's so calm He's always calm And he's always Showing me respect of a friendship. Wayne is a good friend. Wayne is my friend. Wayne is so different than everybody
because he's in his own world.
He's so respectful.
He's so calm.
He's always calm.
And he's always shown me
respect no matter what.
Me and Wayne never fell out.
We never had an issue
or anything like that.
We was just young
and it just didn't work.
I was too young
to think I wanted
to be in a situation.
He was way too young
to feel like we was
courting and doing
what we were doing.
We was just young.
And I feel like
that's what saved us
to still be able
to be friends right now
because we had no bad vibes,
no bad intentions.
He never done nothing
that was disrespectful to me
so I got a lot of love for him.
Yeah, so you would say
that's your favorite ex,
perhaps,
because y'all always
still work together.
They say that.
Don't put no words
in her mouth.
We still work together.
He's a nice person.
I don't have no favorite ex.
If you my ex,
I don't even,
it's not even,
it's done.
Like, we don't even
want a favorite, no favor. We never got married. We don't have even, it's not even, it's done. Like, we don't even want to favor,
no favor.
We never got married,
we don't have kids,
it's nothing favor,
it's just,
we had a situation and it's move on.
Now, this will be
your first studio album
in nine years?
Yeah.
What made you want
to get back to music?
Well, I did,
I put out so many
projects,
I put out a mix
and stuff like that.
EPs and all that
kind of stuff,
but the album,
the album was supposed
to came out four years ago,
three years ago,
so, you know,
it's a lot,
and when you're independent,
you're doing it differently, you're doing it on your own, it's a lot. And when you're independent, you're doing it differently,
you're doing it on your own.
It's a lot of,
lot of work.
It's not the same as it was
when I did Now
or the Baddest album.
So, I mean,
I had to grow,
I had to learn,
I had to be more involved
and do things
a little bit different.
The album sounds great though.
I'm not gonna lie.
I had a chance to get
a little early listen to it.
Oh yeah?
Thank you.
And we was in here
vibing to it.
Okay, vibing.
The one.
The one.
Are you the one?
I am the one.
I feel like I've been through enough.
I've done enough.
I hold my own ground.
I have the roof over my head.
I can stand my own.
I have my own.
I don't depend or need nobody for nothing.
I feel like I've grown into the person that I am, the one that I am.
I am the one.
Charlamagne put out this song with Lil Duval called Black Men Don't Cheat.
That's what it was a song.
I keep saying, I started to write a pity y'all and ask what that means because I'm confused.
What do you mean Black Men Don't Cheat? Is that means because I'm confused. What do you mean black men don't cheat?
Is that true? Yes.
Why? What do you mean by that?
Black men evolved and
we're no longer black boys
and we're grown up and
black men don't cheat. So you know five
black men that don't cheat. You could count
five on your hand like your homeboys or whoever
that has a wife or a girl and they never cheat.
You go to the strip club,
you go wherever and they just strictly not cheating.
We're not talking about the past.
We're talking about
the present and future.
We're talking about right now.
The five that you know
right now, right now
in your life,
right now currently
that you can hang out with
on a Saturday night
and they not gonna cheat.
They not gonna cheat.
I wanna see and meet these guys.
I gotta meet them.
Don't get me wrong.
I don't even know
these four gentlemen right here.
Do you cheat, sir?
Do you cheat, sir? Do you cheat, sir? Do you cheat, sir?
Do you cheat, sir?
Do you cheat, sir?
FYI, FYI, most men who cheat are going to say, yes, I cheat.
They came with you, and they said all four of them said no.
So let me say this one thing.
I would say that I believe that some guys don't cheat.
I mean, contrary to the fact.
I believe that.
I feel like, but that's the same.
I just feel like As people
Women or men
You have to grow up
And be in a certain phase
In your life
And be accountable
For your responsibilities
And being an adult
Cheating means what?
Like you cheating for one night
And then you gotta go home
To your wife or your husband
Or whatever
And then after that
You feel like a dog
A slut
Like you feel delusional
Like that's nasty
So what's the purpose
Of cheating anyway?
If you don't wanna be with somebody
If they not make you happy
Or you're not satisfied
Leave Why don't you black men Don't cheat?'re not making you happy or you're not satisfied leave
why don't you
black men don't cheat
so what do
but Charlamagne
but okay Charlamagne's married
now so I'm gonna give him that
but Charlamagne don't cheat
that was the past
you know what's crazy
he's been with
what you mean the past
like how far in the past
I think Charlamagne was like
no not yesterday
I think Charlamagne
like four years
I think right
oh three years
of not cheating
yes
and how long he's been with his wife
about 20
20
oh Charlamagne,
I wish you was his
so I could pop you.
Stop, okay?
So he had to get
all his boyism out,
do all his whole boy things
before he got seriously
to not cheat?
He got one year
for every inch he has.
And the wife,
and the person,
the woman who's his wife now,
she's been with him
through all the whole
cheating phase and all that?
See, that's where
my problem kicks in.
Oh boy.
Let's talk about it.
Yeah, let's talk about it.
So people always wonder
what happens to Trina?
She's in a relationship with this person or this person,
and the relationship just dissolves, and we don't know what happens.
Why she's not with this person?
Because you know why?
If you cheat or you do something malicious,
as in some of the names that I said, you gots to go.
Because I feel like it's no reason for that.
If you want to be a single man and you want to run around
and be with everybody, just be single so nobody's hurt and caught up in the middle.
But what if that's not your man?
Then that's a different story.
But I'm saying my man.
If you're my man and I find out that you've done that, it's over for you.
It's no explain.
I'm not working it out.
I don't go with the, oh, I don't believe you're not going to do it again.
I'm a visionary.
And let me tell you something.
If you cheat, guess what's in my mind?
Every time I go to sleep, I'm thinking about you with this woman.
Did you go down on her?
Did you do all the stuff that we do?
Did she sit on your face?
Did she sit on your face?
All over your face to smother you?
I'm trying to figure out what was happening with you and this girl that you cheated with.
Like, what made it so important for you to do something like that?
That's what I be thinking.
I can't get the visuals out of my mind.
Because a lot of guys with that nude thing.
Every time I see you naked, I be thinking about, ew, you was cheating with her.
And yeah, my vision is bad.
Would you want details?
I'm a detail into detail.
Yes, the woman calls you up,
and you want to know what exactly happened.
Would you be like, did y'all shower together?
No, no.
Some women like to give those details.
No, because I had a bad experience with that.
That's another reason why I ended a relationship.
So you never cheated on anybody?
No, I don't have a reason.
If something's not going on, I'm leaving uh we got more with trina when we
come back don't move it's the breakfast club good morning it's only right to get this on i mean i'm
i'm feeling this way yeah i'm so disappointed that i wasn't here to talk to the homie trina you know
what i'm saying because she is clearly letting satan use her but everything she said about
cheating is absolutely right and that's exactly why we made this song to spread that message
bj envy angela yee charlamagne the guy we are the breakfast club we're still kicking it with trina right. And that's exactly why we made this song to spread that message. DJ Envy, Angela Yee,
Charlamagne Tha Guy, we are The Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it with Trina. Her album is out
right now. Now, Trina, who hurt you?
I was in a situation, a relationship. This is a
relationship. We're talking about five years in, though.
Jeez, okay. I'm not the person.
I'm not insecure. I'm not the girl that's going
through your phone. I'm not checking your
phones, your text messages. I don't want to be
in your DM. I don't care about none of that.
I'm not going to do that. But
what happens in the dark
always comes to the light. You know what I mean?
So I don't have to look for this stuff because it fell
directly in my lap. One of your friends told you. No, my
friend didn't tell me. You told on yourself. You told
and the person you was cheating with told. Not
you, Envy, personally.
No, but the thing is
he thought my friend told me.
And that's just so crazy because you know you so foul.
And the only person you know that's around me that would know something, you thought it was them.
It wasn't.
I set you up to tell on yourself.
So you baited him.
You girls are smart, man.
You women are real smart.
Well, I didn't.
It just happened.
Somebody started sending random text messages and emails and all this stuff.
It started fluctuating through a circle of people.
You know? And it was like, oh. So yeah, you're talking to this stuff. It started fluctuating through a circle of people, you know?
And it was like, oh, so you're talking to this person.
Why?
What's the point of it?
And I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt because I don't have a kid.
You have a kid.
So a man with a kid, I'm going to give you a lead.
But hey, I want you to be the best father, be with the kid, all this stuff.
But I'm allowing this.
But instead of you just being with the kid, you're trying to be with a woman too?
Of course, that baby mama, go back, slide, I don't play all that.
You want to slide with your baby mama?
Go be with your baby mama.
So this is what happened I found out
It wasn't more what she said in the message
It was what he said
That's the thing
That's the real nasty, disgusting
You know people can change messages
No, no, no, no
Your phone
Your phone
Your phone
Your emails
Your text messages
Your conversation
The person you're cheating with is like
Oh, I wish we could get back together
I miss you
I know you got this girl
Now you in love
But let that go
Cause you got a family
XYZ
Okay cool
But what you said
How many more times
Can I F you
Before I leave
And when you leave
You coming to me
So what does that mean
You gotta go
That is disgusting
You gotta go
F could have been
No
I just said F
Cause we on the radio
But you know what I'm talking about Sound like an F boy remix to me So you know could have been... No, I just said F because we're on the radio.
But you know what I'm talking about.
Sound like an F boy remix to me.
So, you know,
I've been through that and I didn't look for this.
It came out.
So you look crazy.
And I didn't tell you
I knew for four months.
And that's perfect.
How do you not tell somebody
for four months?
Because you gotta be grown.
I had to make a decision.
If I tell you,
two things are gonna happen.
Women are so calculating.
We're gonna fall out
and get into this whole blowout
and I'm gonna leave
or I'm gonna...
I just... Once I tell you, everything is ruined.
Because now you know it's awkward, it's bad vibes between us.
It don't look the same.
Or I got to make up my decision.
Am I going to stay in this situation after I tell you?
Are we going to argue every day about it?
Or am I just going to leave?
So I was torn, like trying to figure out what to do.
I gave myself time and time and time.
And I was just like, I'm going to walk away because I can't, I'm not going to be fake.
I can't sit here and act like I want to be in this situation.
I don't trust you. You're a nasty dog. And I'm out. And I left. I don't know how you held that for four away because I can't. I'm not going to be fake. I can't sit here and act like I want to be in a situation. I don't trust you.
You're a nasty dog.
And I'm out.
And I left.
I don't know how you held that for four months.
I can't hold that for four months.
Just trying to make sure my evidence is solid.
And I got a good reason to like.
To build a case.
So if somebody in the past cheated on you, did you ever give somebody a chance to be like,
look, I effed up.
This is what it was.
I'm sorry.
Let's move on.
Mm-mm.
Damn, Trina.
Mm-mm.
Because, yeah, you're not really sorry because you wasn't thinking about you were sorry when
you did it. What was Trina in the picture when you was doing it? When you think about poor little Trina feelings Because, yeah, you're not really sorry because you wasn't thinking about you were sorry when you did it.
What was Trina
in the picture
when you was doing it?
When you think about
poor little Trina feelings
when you were doing it?
No.
So why should I be worried
about your little feelings
because you're sorry?
Now, yeah, you're sorry
you got caught.
You're sorry, I know,
but you're not sorry
because you're going to do it again
if it's allowed.
So how is things working
with you and your relationship now?
All the women in here
shaking their heads.
Shut up!
They not talking about you
and your relationship.
How did he decide
that he
like did y'all
have a conversation
like look
we're gonna be
in a monogamous
relationship
you're my man
I'm your girl
we just happened
we just became friends
and then we decided
just the friendship
led into a relationship
and you know
he's honest
and that's the one
thing I respect most
is honesty
like he's already
been through the whole
vibe of the girls
the strip clubs
are hanging out
the wild night
so people gotta
go through that
yeah and that's
the thing about me
you know what
I left relationships
because of that
because guess why
I'm not the person
I'm not
I don't wanna
I'm not to say
Hey don't hang out
To the strip club
You wanna go bust down
The walls
And get the butt
Shaking all over you
I get it
Go live your life
And have fun
But then when it goes
To other levels
And you start cheating
Now you sliding
With the strippers
And you sliding
With the bartenders
And all that
It's a wrap
I don't have time for that
But have
And you wanna do that
Go live your life
And do that
I'm not here to stop you
I can't stop you
Because I know
You gotta go through that phase Everybody go through that phase Black men don't. I'm not here to stop you. I can't stop you because I know you got to go through that phase. Everybody
go through that phase. Black men don't do that anymore though.
So that's a good thing. I can't wait to see Charlamagne
with this black men don't cheat foolishness. I mean, it's a good
catch and a good phrase. It's a nice idea.
But I just want to know each one of y'all men that say that, do you
have five potential men that
you know for sure that do not cheat? If you can't tell
me that, I don't believe it. A black man do cheat remix
might be nice. Yeah? Black men
do cheat remix, huh? Fe Men Do Cheat remix, huh?
Featuring Angela, yeah, huh?
Yeah, I do my first.
Can you write my verse?
You want me to write your verse?
Yeah.
Okay, I got you.
Could you imagine in the morning time playing that?
Oh, my God.
Yo, I'm getting cursed out right now by Trina, man.
I told her Black Men Don't Cheat.
Oh, knock it off, Charlamagne.
Trina.
Charlamagne.
We're trying to change the narrative, okay?
We're trying to be better men out here.
You are?
I'm so proud of you.
You're married.
You have a beautiful wife.
I'm happy that you're saved and you don't cheat and you're clean for the last three,
four years.
But those 15 years that you...
Wow, I thought I'd long to be.
Because, yeah, they told me.
You should have called on the line instead of on your phone.
They told me.
I'm calling a friend.
I need to know about Charlemagne. Do you have five male friends that don't cheat?
I do, actually.
You do?
Yeah.
Okay, that's really interesting.
I'm going to rock with these black men on Cheat Wave.
I'm all for y'all brothers.
I'm 40.
We've grown.
Oh, baby, you got some 40-year-old men that's in this industry that are big influencers
that are still out here cheating and acting like
they're 20 years old. You know who we're talking about.
You said industry, but yes, I got
about three.
Alright, bye, Charlamagne.
See what we're talking about. Bye, Charlamagne.
Black men don't cheat. Remix
is coming soon.
Black men don't cheat. Remix is coming soon,
Charlamagne.
My God.
I'm standing in my ground.
Trina, thank you for joining us.
Thank you, guys.
I'm excited.
Pick us an album and that's it.
That is the Breakfast Club.
It's the one.
Good morning.
All right.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ MV Angeli.
Me and Trina alone.
I'm so mad I wasn't here to have a dialogue with my sister Trina.
Pray for Trina. Me too. I can't wait till she do her song, her remix. Lord have mercy. Sister Trina alone. I'm so mad I wasn't here to have a dialogue with my sister Trina. Pray for Trina.
I can't wait
till she do her song.
Lord have mercy.
Sister Trina need prayer.
Somebody heard her.
But her album is fire.
I'm not going to lie.
I was listening to it
a few times.
When has Trina
never been fire?
First of all,
Trina is a whole legend out here.
Drop on the Clues Bonds
for Trina.
That's an understatement.
Okay, I'm just saying
sister Trina needs some prayer.
Lord have mercy.
Just be careful.
She's got a man though.
She's been with him
for over three years. He said she's going to pop you when you see her. I hope she trusts him. You know what I'm saying?, Sister Trina needs some prayer. Lord have mercy. Just be careful. She's got a man, though. She's been with him for over three years.
She says she's going to pop you when you see her.
I hope she trusts him.
You know what I'm saying?
Because that's the other thing.
All these women running around here not wanting us to change the narrative of black men not cheating.
Do you trust your black man that you would?
Do you trust yours?
Think about that.
I trust my boyfriend.
Good, you should.
So when we say black men.
He has never given me reason not to.
All right, well, as long as you trust him, that's all that matters.
That's all that matters.
So when we say black men don't cheat and we trying to change the narrative,
everything Trina said about cheating is absolutely right.
I co-sign that 100%.
A lot of guys do mess up, though.
No, a lot of boys mess up.
That's what they is.
They're young men who haven't matured.
That is correct.
And you can be a 40-something-year-old grown-ass boy.
You can.
You can be married with kids.
You can.
Oh, you're definitely wilding now.
You can.
But you need to change.
And that's the narrative that we're pushing. All right, let's get into rumors. All right, let's you're definitely wilding now. You can. But you need to change. And that's all, that's the narrative
that we're pushing. Alright, let's get into Rumors.
Alright, let's talk the XXL Freshman List.
This is the Rumor
Report with Angela Yee.
Rumor has it.
On your breakfast club.
So listen up.
Man, that XXL Freshman
Class List is out now. I know normally
every year we are the ones that do the interview
with Vanessa from XXL about the cover.
Yeah, where's Vanessa at? So we tried
to make it happen yesterday, but it was
difficult because people weren't in town.
People had to leave. So
we'll get her on the show next week
to talk about it. But some people are saying this might be
one of the best ones ever. Really?
Yes. So let's talk about
some of the picks.
All right.
Tierra Whack, Megan Thee Stallion, Rico Nasty.
Three women, by the way, which is really,
I don't think it's ever happened before for the XXL freshman cover.
The Baby, Gunna, Lil Mosey, YBN Cordae,
Roddy Ricch, YK Osiris, Comethazine, and Blueface.
So what do you guys think?
Sometimes I see these XXL lists
and I feel old
because I don't know
what the hell is going on.
But this one,
I actually listened to about
four of those artists
on the regular.
Megan Thee Stallion,
DaBaby,
Gunna,
somebody else you named.
Blueface?
No.
YBN Cordae,
YK Osiris,
Roddy Ricch.
Roddy Ricch.
That's what I like,
Roddy Ricch.
I love the fact that
there's three women. It's a dope list. And three Ricch. That's what I like. Roddy Ricch. I love the fact that there's three women.
It's a dope list. And three women that
deserve to be on it, too. So, shout out
to them. But, yeah. And some of them,
you look at them and you're like, wow, the baby's
blown up so much and making a stallion,
but you gotta think they already agreed to do this.
Let's gonna.
A while ago. So, I guess
they have to agree to it. They do the shoot.
They do the interviews. They do the interviews.
They do all of that.
And Kamiya posted, she saluted all the women.
She said, shout out to XXL for putting three females on the freshman cover.
History is made.
That's player as F. That's a very dope list.
That's one of those lists that five years from now, you're going to look back on it and be like, damn, some superstars really came out of that class.
And I've seen a lot of them grinding.
I've seen a lot of these artists actually
out there grinding. So
this is a dope list. This is a good list.
Yes, I can't wait to have that conversation. Alright, now
Beyonce and Donald Glover.
So there's a TV spot that has a snippet
of the cover of Elton John's
Can You Feel the Love Tonight?
I know you guys are so excited for the
Lion King. Someone actually came to my live show for
lip service and bought me a Lion King DVD.
Oh, that was nice.
It's still in the wrapper at home.
So here's a snippet for you.
Can you feel the love tonight?
Look at the stars.
The peace the evening brings.
The great kings look down on us from those stars.
The world for once in perfect harmony. The great kings look down on us from those stars.
And so will I.
Okay.
Okay, so I know you guys are all excited for the Lion King reboot. I hope they don't F the Lion King up, man.
People are excited.
I'm excited.
But, man, these live action movies that they making that we grew up on be looking kind of crazy.
I think it'll be dope.
They can't mess it up for me.
Yeah, because you never seen it.
You never saw the original.
You're right.
All right.
Now, would you be excited for Oprah to do a reboot since we're rebooting things?
She talked to Entertainment Tonight's Cheryl Hickey in Canada.
And she talked about
perhaps coming back with a talk show.
I would love to make that happen. Let me tell you.
But maybe not every day.
For 25 years it was perfect.
And the only time
I missed it was like during the election
or when something really big happens
in the news. I think, oh gee,
I wish I had a show right now. But we miss you.
Well, thank you. No, I wouldn't be excited
for Oprah's daytime talk show.
And my last name is
Pinkett Smith Winfrey
Nose Carter.
And the reason I wouldn't
be excited is because
I feel like Oprah
has evolved from that.
And I think Oprah's
Super Soul Conversations
is Oprah's show times 10.
I think that it just means
so much if you actually
listen to our podcast.
I love Oprah's
Super Soul Conversations.
I mean, Oprah could do
whatever she wants. You asked me a question. Didn't you just ask us if we wanted to her podcast. I love Oprah's Super Soul Conversations. I mean, Oprah could do whatever she wants.
You asked me a question.
Didn't you just ask us if we wanted to see that?
I'm not disagreeing with you.
I'm just saying Oprah can do whatever she wants.
She has everything together.
She's like, eh, I'm doing a weekly show.
I would love to see it, but like she said, not every day.
She would do it if she loved it.
That's why.
I'd like to see Oprah's Super Soul Conversations in primetime.
I don't know if y'all listen to her podcast,
but the guests that she has on there,
it's very spiritual
and it just gets you
on a very high level
of consciousness.
I would like to see her
do that prime time somewhere.
All right, I'm Angela Yee
and that is your Rumor Report.
All right, Charlemagne.
Yes.
So you're giving that donkey too.
Well, there's a new business
in town that y'all
may not be up on,
but I'm going to tell you
all about it
before or after the hour.
Okay, we'll get to that next.
Keep it locked
and then next hour, Connie Orlando from BET to tell you all about it. Four after the hour. Okay. We'll get to that next Keep It Locked and then next hour,
Connie Orlando from BET.
She'll be joining us. We'll kick it with us
at a moment. She rentings at BET. Yes.
It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Don't be a donkey, because right now you want some real donkey.
It's time for Donkey of the Day.
So if you ever feel I need to be a donkey, man,
hit me with the heel.
Did she get donkey in the name, please, tell me.
Absolutely.
I have become donkey of the day.
It's a breakfast club, bitches.
You're a donkey.
Yeah, the donkey of the day for Friday, June 21st
goes to a 31-year-old man named Benicis Porto.
Now, Benicis is an Uber Eats delivery guy
who's making a delivery in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Drop on the clues box for Hackensack, New Jersey. Drop on the Clues Bonds for Hackensack, New Jersey.
Alright.
Vanessa has delivered a bag of food to a
23-year-old customer.
And the customer noticed the bag was unstable.
Has that happened to anybody in here before? No.
Would you eat some
food from Uber Eats if the bag was unstable?
Probably. You still would?
Yeah. Oh, okay.
I'm hungry. I mean let's see if you would.
I mean, it depends.
Did it look like it was accidentally unstable when I picked it up?
Or was it rummaged through?
Was the food all sealed up inside?
Well, let's see what you think after you hear this story.
The woman, she felt like, y'all, she didn't want to eat the food because the bag was unstable.
So she rushed over to the Ford Explorer that Porto was driving to question him about the open bag.
And then this happened. This 31-year-old Uber Eats delivery driver is charged with lewdness after a customer
says she caught the driver, Vinicius Porto, pleasuring himself outside her Hackensack home.
The 23-year-old woman says that Porto delivered an unstapled bag which she found odd so she went
out to ask him about it. As she approached his car, that's when she saw him.
Police say she recorded the incident before he left the neighborhood.
Police were able to identify him from the video, and he was arrested.
First of all, let me give KYWCBS3 the credit they deserve for that news story.
Also, I want to say by pleasuring himself, they meant masturbation, right?
Yes.
That sounds pleasurable for him.
Wow.
I would love to know what she ordered to eat.
What if it was jerk chicken?
The irony, right?
Well, Vanessa's Porto.
That's a good one.
That was a good one.
Vanessa's Porto, after delivering an open bag of food, went back to the car.
And saw a young man applying the old handbrake.
Clearly this 23-year-old woman looked amazing.
Because he took a mental picture and couldn't even wait until he got home to badge it his witness.
Now I am so glad this young woman didn't eat her food.
Because any man that would churn his butter at 4.45 p.m. in a Ford Explorer in the middle of New Jersey, broad daylight,
definitely would eat some of her food before he dropped it off,
even if he just took a fry.
The thought of him taking the sausage hostage and then touching your food.
Now, I must say, this young lady is quick
because she pulled out her phone and shot a video of Porto
trying to make stomach pancakes before he sped off.
And cops tracked down this guy.
He's a resident in Newark,
and they slapped him with a summons of lewdness.
On a brighter note,
Vinicius is starting a new company
called Uber Beats.
So if
you're into watching men play
the skin flute, he will come to your house and
choke the Cyclops and do a little dishonorable discharge.
And all he asks is that you give him a
five-star Uber spanking. I mean ranking.
Alright? Please give Vinicius
Porto,
whatever the hell his masturbator's name is,
give him the sweet sounds of the Hamilton's.
Oh, now you are the donkey of the day.
You are the donkey of the day.
Yee-haw.
Ain't nobody going to be shaking
Vinicius, whatever it is,
Vinicius Porto's hand
in Hackensack for a long time.
Which is kind of wild.
It's kind of wild
you wouldn't shake his hand because you got to think
all men masturbate, right?
Yes.
Yeah, so it's like everybody's
hand that you dap up
has masturbated. So why wouldn't you dap up
Vinicius Portal just because you know
he masturbates? Well, where did he wash it? You should wash
your hands after. That's true. Right after?
I would think. There's no hand sanitizer
in the world can clean that up, bro. And I'm sure
he had more deliveries right after that too.
Probably. Jesus Christ.
That's nasty. God bless him. Alright.
Alright, well thank you for that donkey of the day.
Now, when we come back, we have the executive vice president of programming at BET.
The boss.
Connie Orlando.
She'll be joining us.
I've been trying to get Connie up here for so damn long.
And I think this might be her first radio interview ever.
Oh, okay.
If I'm not mistaken.
Yeah, she posted that.
She did say that, right?
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
All right.
So we'll talk to her next.
Don't move, it's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary?
Consider this.
Start your own country.
I planted the flag.
I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine.
I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There's 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest
Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of
the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tribe
my country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives
up their territory. I was making a racket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh, my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your

Hey, what's up? This is Ramses Jha.
And I go by the name Q Ward.
And we'd like you to join us each week for our show Civic Cipher.
That's right. We're going to discuss social issues, especially those that affect black and brown people,

and we try to give you the tools to create positive change in your home, workplace, and social circle.
Exactly.

Listen to Civic Cipher every Saturday on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or
wherever you get your podcasts.
The Breakfast Club.
E-J-N-V-Angela
Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast
Club. We got a special guest in the building.
We have the president of BET,
Connie Orlando, in the building.
Good morning. What's up, Connie?
What's up? How are you? It's so exciting to be up here. I thought you'd be in L.A. already getting ready. I'm right after this, right in the building. Good morning. What's up, Connie? What's up? How are you?
It's so exciting to be up here.
I thought you'd be in L.A. already getting ready.
Right after this, right on the plane.
Now, we've heard a lot of announcements about what's happening thus far, right?
We know that Regina Hall is hosting.
Very excited about that.
We know Nipsey Hussle's getting the Humanitarian Award.
Yes.
Very, very honored to give him that award.
Mary J. Blige as well is being honored.
Lifetime Achievement Award.
Lifetime Achievement.
Are there some surprises that you haven't told us yet?
There's a few.
There's a few.
Well, you know, Tyler's getting, Tyler Perry's getting the Icon Award.
And I think this year, the plan, you know, Jesse Collins and I, we wanted to bring it back to moments.
Those moments that you tune in, like you don't know what's going to happen next.
I think we have some mashups that you're going to like.
Definitely five, six, seven moments
that I think people
are going to be talking about
and excited about.
Now BET has been putting on
some great programming
for the past couple of years.
Well, thank you.
And I got to attribute
a lot of that to you
because you started
as an intern in 2017, right?
Yep, 2017.
I'm two and a half years in.
And it seems like
they've been taking
a lot of chances
with original programming.
Whether it's Irv Gotti Tales, 50 Cent's Prank Show,
like Being Mary Jane's and Real Husband's Hollywood.
So with all that said, why aren't more people watching BET?
You know, I think, well, my job is to get people back to the network.
I think we are evolving.
I love where our programming is going.
I love that we're showing the world that we tell many stories in different forms.
And I think they're coming back.
Like American Soul was a big hit.
Games People Plays, big hit.
New Edition, Bobby Brown.
New Edition, Bobby Brown.
So I think people are slowly coming back.
All right, good.
So did you have a production company?
Is that how you got into the business?
So I had a production company.
I was a producer.
Well, I was a producer.
And then I started a small production company.
Then maybe three years, I started freelance producing for Hype Williams.
And then a year later, I became his executive producer and ended up running Big Dog Films.
Wow.
So I've been in the game.
I started from that side of it.
Oh, so you was on Belly.
So I was the production company, Hype's production company.
I was the liaison between Artisan and Hype.
How difficult was that?
Because that was the era.
That was the 90s, early 2000s.
That was the big 90s.
A lot of money being spent.
It was a lot of money.
We had so much money.
Million dollar videos.
Million dollar, we are the, yes.
Eagles was big and out of control then.
And everybody was super young.
So it was just, it was a lot of fun.
I think I credit Hype like he is a creative genius.
And I credit him with showing me that you can dream and create anything.
So what made you want to become a suit, so to speak?
I don't think I ever said, oh, I want to become a suit.
I think I did my company,
we did the music videos,
and then I was like
wondering what was next.
And I really wanted to be,
to go into film.
And a friend of mine,
and you guys,
Jack Benson,
was like, you should try TV.
Why don't you come
and try to produce for TV?
Because TV producers
are at the top,
and film is the director.
So I did some freelancing
with his company, and then I did some freelancing with his company
and then I did some work
with BET,
freelance producing
for probably about two years
on different shows.
I did the New Faces search
that found Terrence and Roxy.
Terrence, Roxy,
Alicia Renee,
Lamorne.
Yep.
Yep.
So that was one of my
first freelance gigs
and then Stephen bought me in
to produce The Five.
You guys remember that show?
Yeah.
Oh yeah, Ray J was a host on that sometimes.. You guys remember that show? Oh, yeah.
Ray J was a host on that sometimes.
And Ray J and Alicia Renee.
Alicia Renee, yeah.
So that's how it started.
And then once I got to BET, I just, luckily, I just grew in my career.
And I was elevated at different points.
So I became a soup by accident.
Was it bittersweet in 2017 when you became interim president?
I guess because Stephen let go?
Yeah, absolutely. Stephen's a great friend of mine, a very great friend, and we've been
friends for over 20 years, so it was definitely bittersweet, but we're still very close.
When did they come and say, okay, you're it?
They came five months later, in September, and said, okay, we want you to do the gig,
and I was ecstatic.
So what are some of the first things you did?
Well, let's get it popping.
So I went to LA
because the whole original programming team is in LA.
So I went there.
That's where we do scripted and unscripted.
And you kind of just have to go through everything
that had been done to that point
and kind of catch up almost
because I was in the role.
I was over specials at that point.
I had done, I had been VP of original programming,
but it was still three years ago. Just getting up to speed on what was going on and what things were in development
and just really trying to get a vision for what I wanted, my legacy or what handprint I wanted to
put on, on the programming that I did. So the first year is a lot of cleanup and rearranging
and trying to get like a clean slate. So I think last year was the first year that was entirely my slate and nothing was inherited. And I'm very proud of it. How much
pressure is it being the new executive vice president, being a black woman? Like what is
that pressure like? That's interesting. So lots of pressure, I think just with the job. It's not a
lot of female pressure, but it's just the pressure to succeed in an environment where, you know, less people are watching TV and really make a difference and get people back.
We saw Issa Rae's speech recently where she talks about being too humble all the time when she was accepting her award.
Do you feel like as a woman, you've tried to be sometimes too humble and not really celebrate your victories the way we could?
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. You are.
Yes, I am.
I do suffer from that.
But I think it's also like I've had a long career
with lots of ups and downs,
and I don't take anything for granted.
So I know like this is today.
Who knows what's going to happen tomorrow?
So I just try to be grateful,
and that's where that humility comes from.
But I'm trying to learn.
I'm trying to learn.
Yeah, I like it.
I enjoy her speech because it's so true.
I do feel like as women, sometimes we're like, oh, you know, it wouldn't be possible.
And it's true, you know, with the people that support us.
But sometimes we downplay our own achievements and things that we've done.
Like even now, you'd be like, you know, I've had ups and downs.
And you never know.
Instead of being like, look, I'm popping.
I did this.
I'm proud of this.
I bought Boomerang.
And sometimes we have to really put it out there so people can know it.
Because they might not know.
Yeah, they got to know who's greenlighting this stuff.
Yes, you're absolutely right.
I am popping.
I bought Boomerang.
In American Soul.
You got to list all the team members.
I did this show.
I bought this show.
I greenlit this show.
Even getting the talent that you've gotten to work with BET.
The 50s, the Irvs, the Lena Waves.
Yes.
I mean, a lot of those,
especially Lena at this point,
Lena could be like,
I'm not doing BET.
Yes.
You know?
And it was great to have Lena come.
Lena and Halle,
executive producer.
Halle Berry, yeah.
Boomerang.
And we always say,
and I always say that,
BET is home.
So at the end of the day,
one of the things I did when I went
is really just sat down
and talked to everybody.
And you hear people out,
you see what the pain points may have been,
and then you really,
my job is to see what you want to do.
I don't necessarily pitch,
but we want to be in business with great talent,
and we want to bring great people to the network.
So I think that cleansing was a big part of the success
that we are having today.
And I think people, at the end of the day,
want to come to BET.
All right, we have more with Connie Orlando, president of BET.
When we come back, don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We have a special guest in the building,
executive vice president of programming from BET, Connie Orlando.
Charlamagne?
What are the pain points for artists?
My problem with artists a lot of times is they think white ice is colder.
So they don't value the BET Awards.
They don't value black entertainment like this.
So what would their pain points be?
I think it's different.
It's different for different people.
Like, because BET is home and BET is family,
if you have an experience that's a little rough or, you know,
they take it personal, personal.
And, you know, they shouldn't.
Because I think BET, you can't judge take it personal, personal. And, you know, they shouldn't because I think BET,
you can't judge us just on the programming.
We do a lot of things behind the scenes.
We do a lot of empowering things.
We're always in the community.
Like, we employ people who look like us.
And that's important to us, and it's part of our mission.
But I just think if you had a bad experience 10 years ago,
like, there's people that still hold on to that, you know.
But I'm there to try to fix all that or at least be a voice where you can talk and let's move past it.
Do you ever get offended? Like you call somebody to be at the awards and like, oh, I'm not gonna be able to make it.
Like, well, I saw you at the Grammys. I saw you at the Oscars. Why you can't come to BET Awards?
You know, I do ask myself those questions sometimes because I think at the end of the day, BET launched a lot of careers.
Yes. questions sometimes because I think at the end of the day BET launched a lot of careers yes and we're there at the beginning we want to be there through the middle and and as you become a superstar it's always great for you to
come back and I think it sends a message to the world like when you don't come
home but you see people other places what about the BET hip-hop Awards are
those gonna be in Atlanta again they're back in Atlanta so we were in Miami the
last two years we're back in Atlanta we're we were in Miami the last two years. We're back in Atlanta. We're excited about that.
We tape October 5th.
What did BET mean to you growing up?
BET was my sanctuary.
I'm an only child.
So when I came home, I just wanted to watch BET.
It's where I got all the music.
It's where I tried to learn to dance. It was just something that felt so comfortable.
And I think that's why my career, with Hype Williams,
I've always been at companies that were about us.
I loved seeing us on television.
And I think it's important.
When we do a lot of movies and TV shows,
the relatability, like when we did Boomerang,
to hear Lena tell her story of when she watched the movie,
what that did
it was the first time
she saw us
in these roles
on television
like those are moments
and then
when I was growing up
there were very few moments
and BET was the only place
that you could really hear
music that you wanted to hear
or see people
that looked like you
yeah I mean
even what you did
with the new edition story
and being Bobby Brown
like that's the
new miniseries
when we grew up, they made
us, it was roots. You know what I'm saying?
Like now, that's not our history.
That is our history, but we got a new
history and it's like y'all are the only place that
can tell it. Like who else is going to do a new edition of Bobby Brown?
Right. And I think the way we tell
our stories, like you always learn something
and we're thorough because we care so much about
it. We're not going to give you a new edition
that doesn't have everything that it should have.
I feel like y'all should do that like every two years.
Tell a different story.
Who else's story would you love to tell?
Uptown Records.
That's what needs to be told.
Oh, that's Uptown.
Oh, Uptown Records.
I agree with you.
Yes, Uptown Records is coming.
Absolutely.
You said it's coming.
It's coming.
Okay, so that's happening already.
Yep, we announced it in the upfront.
We're working.
April.
In development.
I don't remember that.
In development.
We're excited about it.
Really?
What else is in development?
Wait a minute now.
That's got to be a few-month miniseries.
A few months.
I'm serious.
Trying to get all the pieces.
You got Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, Heavy D, Al B. Shaw, Christopher Williams.
All the storylines like Diddy, Kim Port, and Al B. Shaw in the office.
Like, oh, man.
I know.
That's like my top three record labels of all time,
but not just record labels, just lifestyle.
Yes.
Like that New Jack era meant so much guy.
The 90s.
Christopher Williams was a thug.
People don't know that.
Like, oh, my God.
So is Diddy on board and everything?
We're getting everybody.
Andre is totally down.
Of course he is.
He has to be.
Andre's a legend.
Andre's story needs to be told.
He is.
He opened the door for so many people and artists.
And, like, we are honored to tell this story.
And we're going to do it right.
And the Nipsey Hussle Humanitarian Award.
Is that the award that Jesse Williams won before? Yes.
Got you. Okay. I didn't know if that was a new
award or that was it. No, it's the
Social Humanitarian. We give it
every year. Is that something y'all knew y'all wanted to do
before he passed? No.
So we usually don't even think
about it until like
May and then it had
already unfortunately happened
and it was no choice.
Who do y'all have
except for him?
The family, I think.
His mom, Lauren.
Man.
You know what B-T needs
to bring back?
Teen Summit.
That is the number one
request we get.
Just because there's
so many issues that
kids aren't having addressed
to them and for them.
And it's different issues today.
It's different issues.
It's way crazier.
Way crazier.
I think if we were thinking about bringing it back,
but I think it's something for digital because that's where kids are now.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But we're absolutely thinking about it because they don't have that platform
to really discuss anything.
Well, I like what BET is doing,
and I've liked what y'all have been doing for the past couple of years.
Well, thank you.
And I don't understand why we're not supporting
BET more.
Well, I hope.
That's why we're trying
to get you up here
for the longest.
You have
and I was like,
Charlamagne told me
two years ago
I should come up
and I am coming up
and now you're not
going to get rid of me.
I'm going to come up
for every show.
Absolutely.
I'm going to tell you
how I'm popping
and what's going on
at BET.
So how can people
hit you up to pitch shows
to you?
No, I'm kidding.
No, don't do that.
Don't put that out there.
She said, well, no, wait a minute.
I always wanted you up here because of the dope programming that y'all have on BET.
And plus, you're a black woman.
I think that's fly for people to see right now in this moment.
Like, oh, a black woman is running BET.
Well, I appreciate that. And I would love, I love for people to see a black in this moment like oh a black woman is running BET well I appreciate that
and I would love I love for people to see a black woman is doing BET BET her BET we have BET her
like we're all about black women up there so absolutely my absolute dream job and I'm having
a good time and hopefully everybody comes back the support and I appreciate like you guys have
always supported BET and I appreciate that. Thank you.
And the awards are this weekend. Yes.
So we'll all be watching. Sunday. We're all gonna be watching
that. We've been giving all the spoilers as they
come out. We have a lot of
Lil Nas and Billy Ray Cyrus.
It's gonna be their first TV look. Wow.
Was you supposed to say that? Yep.
That was announced.
Okay.
What you think? She's Irv Gotti up there?
I don't know.
Let's make a show.
It's going to be a big show,
and it's going to bring you back to those moments
that BT Awards has been known for.
You know what I wanted to ask you?
Was it tense for you having to deal with Irv Gotti
and 50 Cent in the space,
and then 50 was tweeting,
everybody except Kanye, Orlando, and all of that?
Well, I'm friends with both of them
because I've known them both
from back in the music video days.
So it wasn't tense.
It was just conversation between friends
and both of them did a truce
so they stopped when all that was going on.
Look at you, you made a truce happen.
That 50 tweet was a good look for you.
Because a lot of people do feel that way.
They're like, **** BET except for Connie Orlando.
They know your worth.
Gotta know your worth and know your value.
Yes.
I know you were like, damn it, I was trying to be behind the scenes.
No, it was great.
And 50's a great friend.
So this Sunday, what time?
This Sunday, 8 p.m. Eastern.
Okay, on BET. On BET.
On BET.
It's going to be a great show.
Get on your socials.
Make sure you use the hashtag.
Connie is on Instagram, though.
I am.
Is it private?
No, it's not private.
Okay, give it out.
Connie Orlando.
Boom.
At Connie Orlando.
Now you're about to get a lot of pictures.
I have a great idea about my life.
Well, I think I'm going to give out two tickets to the awards.
So it's well-announced on social later.
Okay.
On BET Instagram or yours?
On mine.
All right.
Boom.
All right.
There you go.
Follow Connie Orlando so you can win free tickets to the BET Awards this weekend.
Connie, thank you for coming.
Thank you for having me.
Thank you for having me.
It's the Breakfast Club.
I love you guys.
Love you too.
The Breakfast Club.
It's about time.
What's going on?
Rumor Report.
Rumor Report.
This is the Rumor Report.
Talk to them.
With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club.
So Wendy Williams was at the Black Enterprise Forward Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina yesterday.
And she talked about basically not knowing anything about her business and that's because
her estranged husband
Kevin Hunter was the person that really took
control of everything and here was her advice
in the future.
The difference in my business is that
it used to be Kev and the team
would show up and then Kev
wouldn't bring me in until he knew
okay, the deal's done, now it's time for you to meet the people. show up. And then Kev wouldn't bring me in until he knew okay, the deal's done. Now it's time for
you to meet the people. Not now.
I want to be in on the first
conversation of the deal and I want to be on
every meeting until the deal is
done. And that's the way I roll.
That's right. Take back your power, queen.
I spoke to Wendy last week. I actually
FaceTimed with her and she says she's back.
So shout out to Wendy Williams. You can tell she's back
out here in these streets.
And truth to the matter is,
Kelvin wasn't great at business.
It's just a lot of things fell in his lap because, I mean, look at the product he had.
When you got a product like Wendy Williams,
you know, anybody can manage that.
She's a great talent, you know?
Right, so now she's making sure
that she knows everything from start to finish
about her business.
I agree with that
because a lot of times people get taken advantage of
because they don't know what's going on.
Correct.
Like the way I do mine is I have a booking email and I see it
and Paris sees it and we go through it so I can see everything that's happening,
all the emails as they transpire.
That way there's never any confusion.
Right.
All right, now let's talk about Le'Veon Bell.
He's talking about the two women who allegedly stole half a million dollars
worth of stuff and he had left them naked in the bed earlier in the day.
So they do have that 911 audio, TMZ Sports got that audio.
And here's what he told them.
Well, I had two girls in my house, and I got up, did my normal routine to go work out.
When I came back, they took my money, they took my watch, my jewelry.
Since you said that you know the girls who did this, I need to get their description.
Are they white, black, or Hispanic?
They're both mixed. One will look more black, and the other one will look more Hispanic.
Okay, the one that looks more black. What was she wearing today?
I mean, when I left, she was in her bed, not wearing clothes when she left.
Okay, and the other one, you said she looked more Hispanic.
And what was she seen boxing wearing today?
The same way.
So we don't know if he's gotten his stuff back yet or if they've caught any suspects,
but clearly he knew them, right?
All right, now Rihanna was on Late Night with Seth Meyers,
and they were doing some day drinking, and she was getting some advice from Seth Meyers.
If I quit music, then what should I do?
Oh, well, I feel like you have a lot of lines of business right now, right?
Yeah, but I mean, other than that.
Okay.
You should be a pilot.
I actually wanted to be a pilot.
You did want to be a pilot?
Mm-hmm.
At what age?
When I realized my grades just sucked.
Okay, Rihanna's an airplane pilot.
That'd be dope.
I'm trying to figure out why the hell Rihanna did an interview with Seth Meyers.
Ah.
Because you don't see Rihanna do a lot of interviews, so why Seth Meyers?
I mean, nothing wrong with Seth.
I'm just saying, why Seth?
Maybe he pitched it really hard, like, look, I'm trying to get you on here.
Now, Seth Meyers also got some advice about his own pickup lines
because his wife says that he's terrible, so check it out.
Rihanna, feel free to ring this bell as soon as my pickup line is back.
This is me showing off how good my game is.
Hey, you look like a lady who was also underwhelmed by the Game of Thrones finale.
I love Game of Thrones.
Excuse me.
Are you the girl from Battleship?
Jesus.
All right, that's where I leave.
I'm out.
Yeah, I'm going to agree with his wife.
It's kind of hard to, you know, have good pickup lines for somebody you already picked up.
He was trying them on Rihanna.
Yeah, those are definitely wife pickup lines from a dad.
Okay, those are things you say to your wife just so she laughs at you.
Like, ugh, you're so corny.
And last but not least, you all know Evelyn Lozada was on the show yesterday.
Basketball Wives is back on your TVs.
And everybody was talking about her and Rob Kardashian.
They had an exchange via Twitter.
And here's the information that she gave us.
Seems like Rob Kardashian could maybe shoot his shot now.
Check it out.
I think Rob is a nice guy.
I feel like he has potential for greatness.
Okay.
And I hope he really keeps kicking ass in the gym Because I think he's a nice looking man
So if he gets in the gym
I would go on a date with Rob
Okay Rob
Look you know his mom is dating younger
He could date older
Alright well I'm Angela Yee
And that is your rumor report
Alright thank you Miss Yee
Now shout out to Revolt
We'll see you guys tomorrow
And shout out to everybody in New Orleans
I'll see y'all on Sunday.
We're doing a real estate seminar.
Shout to Uptown Angela.
I spoke to her yesterday on air, and people are excited.
They want to learn about real estate.
She's coming out.
She's bringing a couple people out just to teach people about real estate
and where they can get started and how much they need to get started.
And I'm bringing everybody to you guys, from the credit repair people to agents
to lending to hard money lending.
You name it, we're going to bring them there. I also have Sidney Torres. He's invested a lot in
the city. He'll be joining us. And my brother, Larry Morrow, who's a promoter who owns a
restaurant and a couple of properties. He'll be there as well. So I can't wait to see you guys
in New Orleans this Sunday. And if you want more information, just hit me up on my link in my bio.
I'll get all the information about the seminars. All right?
The People's Choice Mix is up next.
Get your request in now.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
E.J., M.V., Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
We got a special guest in the building.
Yay, yay.
Ice Cube.
Yay, yay.
Welcome back, sir.
So you know what that means.
The big three is coming back.
Oh, man, you know me.
I show up every summer, you know, telling people to help me push the program.
And they are so excited.
I was just in Detroit.
I just saw Detroit Bruce.
Yes.
And they're so excited
that you're kicking off
the big three this time
in Detroit.
Hey, you know,
I love Detroit.
You know, Detroit is always
giving love to me
and my projects.
And so, you know, last year we went to Detroit and, you know, they showed out.
Everybody filled up the arena, had a good time with the Big Three, really enjoyed the
whole event because it's like a mini all-star game, you know.
So we was like, yo, where's the best place to kick this season off. So our first game, Saturday.
Saturday night, CBS.
Right.
June 22nd.
8 o'clock.
Three games is in Detroit.
Then the next day, 1 o'clock on Sunday.
In the afternoon, you know, we go to Indy, Indiana.
And it's going to be cool to see, you know,
because that's a basketball mecca, too.
Correct.
So just to see and show fans Big 3 basketball, it's going to be incredible.
I need my folks out there.
Support the league.
You know what I mean?
The league is taking off.
So it's just fun to be in this position.
These players need a rest day.
You got them in Detroit one day.
What's two different teams playing? They're going to be hurt now. No, Q, man. You got them in Detroit one day, Indianapolis. They got enough. It's two different teams playing.
Yeah, they don't have the same teams.
I'm about to say, because they're going to be hurt now.
No, no, no.
The whole league.
No back-to-backs.
Okay, okay.
No back-to-backs.
You know, since we got 12 teams, we're going to have—
How many teams did you have before?
Eight.
Eight?
So all the games used to happen on one day.
Correct.
But now, since we got 12 teams, we broke it up, and that was a long day.
You know what I mean?
So we broke it up.
So now we got three games
in Detroit and three games
in Indiana. Now, I
gotta ask you a question, and I don't know if you'll be able to answer
this as an impartial person,
but which team, if you had to put your money
on them, do you think is
the best? Wow.
I mean, last time I did that, I got
cursed out. I got cursed out crazy.
Power won the championship last year, and you know, with our league, when time I did that, I got cursed out. I got cursed out crazy. Power won the championship last year.
And, you know, with our league, when you win the championship,
that same team comes back.
It's not like other leagues where you don't know who's coming back.
Right.
That same team comes back.
So I think they have an advantage just by playing together,
winning the chip.
They know what it takes.
And even though we got some good competition with the new teams coming in,
they've never played in a big three.
So it's going to take a little learning curve for them.
So I still think Power won.
Power won last year.
The year before that was Trilogy.
Trilogy.
Yeah, Kenya Martin cursed me out.
Trilogy went 10-0.
I can see that.
Yeah, they went 10-0.
He definitely cursed me.
I said AI's team was going to win.
And when he got the chip, he came over and cursed me out.
Oh, I got to give you a spoiler.
This is a little gossipy, but Trina's out here.
Yeah.
Kenya Martin's definitely mentioned on one of the songs on her album.
Oh, is that right?
Mm-hmm.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
They did have some.
Yeah, in the past.
That man is married.
Leave him alone.
No, I'm just saying he's mentioned on the song.
It's true.
Oh, okay.
His album's about to come out.
She was like, I ain't got nothing to do with that.
Yeah, I ain't got nothing to do with that.
I'm just telling you
I want to stay away from that
You know Kenyon
You know I love Kenyon
Because he's the
First guy to ever sign
With the P3
Really
Ever
You know he
So he got it as soon as
You mentioned it to him
He got it right away
My partner Jeff Quantin
Was right there
He's in the back
He
What's up Jeff
He
You know he talked to Kenyon
And I talked to Kenyon And we really, we weren't sure who was going to sign.
We weren't sure if people would even, you know, see the vision.
Right.
And he was the first one.
Really?
And I remember me and Jeff getting on the phone like that next day saying, damn, we got a guy signed.
This is going to open the floodgates.
This is going to get other players
to realize,
you know, let's do this.
Let's try to build something
that ain't never been done before.
And, you know,
so I'm extremely
grateful to Kenyon Moy.
Who else is playing this year?
We got Jason Terry.
Okay.
We got Gilbert Arenas.
All right, Gilbert and Lamar on the same team.
Yep, Gilbert, Lamar on the same team.
Team called the Enemies.
Okay.
We got Joe Johnson.
We got...
Is Ron Artest playing?
No, Ron Artest, he's actually, I think he's trying to coach.
Okay.
He's trying to either coach a college or something.
Something they got to do with coaching.
Okay.
So, you know, what's cool about our league is, you know, we want guys to grow.
Correct.
You know, if opportunities come along, you know, I know Kendrick Perkins was going to grow. If opportunities come along, I know Kendrick Perkins was going to play,
but he had an opportunity
to do
ESPN and be an analyst all
summer and make a lot
of money.
We blessed that. AI was a coach
that was like,
I got an opportunity. I got
obligations.
We want you to come to the big three and win.
Not come and feel like, you know, you're a part of a league that's kind of holding you.
And you can't really do things.
We want guys to make it back into the NBA if they can.
Baron Davis is playing.
Baron Davis is playing.
Baron Davis is going to play this year?
He didn't play last year, did he?
He played last year.
He got hurt.
He got injured.
He got injured after the third game.
So it's just incredible just to have these guys come out and play.
This year is going to be bananas, you know, on CBS, which is big.
That's a big look for us.
Now, you reached out to Kobe a couple times.
Has he ever responded?
He says he's done playing basketball.
Okay.
But everybody say that.
Yeah.
You know, he may get the itch.
You know, we have guys who haven't been in the NBA for 10, 15 years
still out there, you know, like Mahmoud Abdul-Raouf, things like that.
So he may get the itch two years from now, three years from now,
a year from now, and want to play.
And what's great is we'll be here.
Well, it starts this weekend, the 22nd, Detroit, and then Indianapolis.
If you want more information, just hit thebig3.com.
I think a behind-the-scenes of this is amazing, too,
because there's all these, like you said, basketball greats.
Yes.
And even the coaches and seeing all of that, like a behind the scenes,
not even just watching the game, but other things too, like on the road,
what's happening before the game, practice.
Well, that's a great segue because we just starting a show called
All About the Big Three premieres tomorrow.
You got to get the Big Three app.
And it's cool because you'll get a chance to, you know,
learn a little more about the league.
But for people in Detroit and in Indianapolis this weekend,
you got to come out.
I mean, seeing it on CBS is going to be cool,
but this is an event that you got to be there
because you never know when we coming back.
So if we somewhere near your town, come see the Big 3.
It'll be one of the best basketball events you ever attended.
We'll be there in Brooklyn in July, right?
Absolutely.
That's right.
And fun fact, this show was almost called the Big 3.
This morning show.
This morning show, yeah.
You know.
You would have had to pay us.
I mean, my league was almost called the Breakfast Club.
So, I mean, we close. All right. Well, it's Ice Cube. Yay my league was almost called the Breakfast Club. So, I mean, we close.
All right.
Well, it's Ice Cube.
Yay, yay.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Shalameen Negao.
We are the Breakfast Club.
You guys have a great weekend.
You're out in L.A., right?
Yes, it's BET Awards weekend.
So, I'm out here.
There's like an action-packed schedule and so many activities for BET Awards weekend.
Seems like this is going to be a really great year as well.
Are you going to Hollywood Unlock's brunch, the Accept Our Award?
When is that, Sunday?
Saturday.
Are you going?
You'll be here, MV, can't be?
Yes.
Charlamagne told me Sunday.
I didn't tell you Sunday.
Yes, you did, because I said I got to go there Saturday.
I'll be there Saturday.
What time?
Why the hell would they have an award show?
Why would they have a brunch the day of the award show?
I don't know.
You said Sunday.
I ain't tell you.
Nothing like that.
What time is it?
It's 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., I believe.
All right, I'm going to swing through, because I land, I think, at 10.30 a.m.
And shout out to my girl, Melissa Ford.
She definitely hit me up multiple times.
Like, you coming?
You coming?
I just need to know.
And I made a last-minute trip out here, so yes.
Yeah, I'll be in L.A. for the day.
I'll be there, I think, like, 10 hours. I'm in and out. And then minute trip out here, so yes. Yeah, I'll be in LA for the day. I'll be there, I think, like 10 hours.
I'm in and out.
And then Sunday, New Orleans, so.
Yeah, salute to Melissa Ford, salute to Jason Lee,
everybody over at Hollywood Unlocked.
We appreciate the award.
And also, we got to thank a bunch of people that stopped through.
Shout to Trina who came through today.
Her new album is out right now.
I'm sad I missed Trina.
Trina is the one.
That's the name of her album, so make sure y'all get that now. I'm sad I missed Trina. Me and Trina always have such great conversations, man. Salute miss Trina. Trina is the one. That's the name of her album, so make sure y'all get that now.
I'm sad I miss Trina.
Me and Trina always have such great conversations, man.
Salute to Trina.
Pray for her.
You know what I'm saying?
I pray that she's dating a nice black man and not a black boy who would be out here doing her dirty, cheating on her, and things of that nature.
Because you know black men don't cheat.
Black boys can't co-sign for y'all.
Well, yeah, she has a boyfriend now that she loves.
But as you can hear from her music,
she's had some experiences in the past with some F boys,
and sometimes that is difficult.
And also shout out to Connie Orlando from BET.
She stopped in today.
Yes, I think this was Connie's first radio interview ever.
And salute to Connie, man.
Connie, to me, Connie does a great job over at BET.
I know people got a lot of negative things to say about BET,
but BET really be putting a lot of dope programming on.
We just got to support it.
And also Ice Cube.
Yeah, yeah.
He stopped through.
Don't forget the big three kicks off in Detroit this Saturday.
So check that out.
Yes, it's year three of the big three.
So pretty amazing to see how it's evolved because we had Ice Cube on super early on when it first started.
Did Cube talk about Celebrity Deathmatch at all?
No.
Oh, okay.
What's going on with it?
I mean, it's on its way back.
Okay.
And Cube is an executive producer.
You said you too?
I haven't said anything.
He said Cube.
I'm asking you.
I said, oh, you.
I haven't said anything.
I'm just asking.
Hey, man, you know, God is good.
Okay.
Well, leave us on a positive note.
Listen, the positive note is simply this, man.
I want you to remember this this
weekend. The only limits you have
are the limits you believe you have.
Breakfast club, bitches! You all finished
or y'all done? Had enough of this
country? Ever dreamt about
starting your own? I planted the flag.
This is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Or maybe not.
No country willingly gives up their territory.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
