Starting point is 00:00:00 As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Had enough of this country? Ever dreamt about starting your own? I planted the flag. This is mine. I own this.
Starting point is 00:00:37 It's surprisingly easy. 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Or maybe not. No country willingly gives up their territory. Oh, my God. What is that? Bullets. Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
Starting point is 00:00:51 That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, guys. I'm Kate Max. You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Hey y'all, Nimany here. I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records. Executive produced by Questlove, The Story Pirates, and John Glickman, Historical Records brings history to life through hip-hop. Flash, slam, another one gone. Bash, bam, another one gone. The crack of the bat and another one gone.
Starting point is 00:02:02 The tip of the cap, there's another one gone. Each episode is about a different, inspiring figure from history. Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing. Check it. And it began with me. Did you know, did you know? I wouldn't give up my seat.
Starting point is 00:02:24 Nine months before Rosa, it was called a woman. Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records. Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise. Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, everyone. Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. presents Sunday Night Podcast. Every Sunday, we play one of the most played and most listened to and most shared podcasts of the week. From the 250,000 podcasts available in the free iHeartRadio app.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Find your next favorite podcast on iHeartRadio. This week, it's the Breakfast Club 30. Morning, everybody. It's DJ, MV, and Julie. Shalameen the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building. Hey.
Starting point is 00:03:43 50, what up? What, 50? I'm back out. I'm back in the breakfast club i ain't early what part of the world you in right now fifth because i know it's not america yeah i'm in prague i'm in prague okay okay czech republic i don't even want you to see me in america no more charlie man i want you to see me when i'm outside of the country because they treat me so much better you You gotta see me out here. I did the O2 Arena last night, sold out, and again tonight, I do it again. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:11 And in the midst of all that, a whole bunch of work going on here. Absolutely. You know, this is like my day job. You know, I do other stuff. You know, really, I'm a full-time producer. You know, so I got the uh what's they coming um actually tomorrow the flores twins podcast is surviving el chapo yeah this is the first time
Starting point is 00:04:32 they've spoken about this right first time they spoke and then they they like i came across them the other thing is i came across them in 2004 at the height of get rich and die trying um one of one of the dudes in bucks entourage decided to leave the hotel and go to cabina green projects because he wanted to party he had the spinner did you want to spend a piece they robbed him for the piece so i do got wrong for that the twins they got it to the twins because they that's who would have the money to buy that and then uh jay flores he got the piece back to me because just to create the relationship he brought the piece back he stole it from buck's boy yeah then then he it got back to me through gabi gabi but he's working at rca at the time under steve rifkin and he had a relationship with them and that's how he got the piece back i wonder with a project like that what makes you say you know what I'm gonna take it to a podcast
Starting point is 00:05:27 as opposed to developing it as a show or film? No it's developing as uh it's the new Narcos. Okay. What I do Sean is I make it a podcast so they can hear it because you don't do anything destroying the story by informing the audience like when we've how many great feature films were books that you read before you got a chance to see the film so you make the podcast i got the uh the docu-series coming and then the actual scripted series is on the way follow why not and it's like making it's like you're making so much money off one piece of content yeah and then when you can get it in the early stages when they have never said anything like you technically is
Starting point is 00:06:05 Chapo's the biggest drug that that's but they moved 130 tons of cocaine and heroin Hey, but for the organization, so if you look when you say that I was like, are you you were selling drugs? I was doing something different. When you start talking about that, I don't know what the fuck I was talking about. When you look at it like that, you go, wait. Show me that ground level stuff that we was involved in in these environments, in the neighborhoods.
Starting point is 00:06:34 In that level, the first time that they asked for some work from them, they had to sell for three, and they gave them five. So you could have caught, you would have got life. Your first transaction, you would have got life. You got caught with five kilos
Starting point is 00:06:47 so they pretty much their life was on the line the entire time everybody wants to know where you going you left stars you left stars
Starting point is 00:06:55 high and dry yeah you know what in between times because I got three different offers that I'm looking at now but Sean I'm going to tell you
Starting point is 00:07:03 the difference is even my relationships at risegate have been consistent i sold the last thing that i pitched to them my soul stars picked it up um in that time period like i got four new shows up you know what i'm saying we got the property players with envy in them the star you know his of the show. He's just in it. He's just in it. His wife is there. When you see their counterparts, you understand how everything else works away from the entertainment because that's the interesting parts of that show to me and the kids.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Because they're like the royal family. You got like five. You got a whole team in Chile. Yeah, that's why. You know that's why Cesar got the BBL three years ago because he knew eventually. He got a BBL three years ago. Cause he knew eventually. He got a BBL? No.
Starting point is 00:07:48 He didn't get no damn BBL, man. No. He did though. Didn't he get it? No, stop it. No,
Starting point is 00:07:57 he ain't got BBL, man. He lost his weight though. You know what? That show's been in development for you guys for a while. So what was the first iteration and how did that evolve for you guys to get that picked up? That was when we went through a bidding war. It was multiple networks that were excited about it.
Starting point is 00:08:15 And then, of course, when you see the kind of draw that they have envy as with with with uh even the car show with the seminars about real estate and stuff like that then it looks way more significant than a show that you just came with this concept and you got this person that's a personality that's going to be on it when they see it's already drawing that many people to it and it's already so so well established like they don't you don't have to fake any properties these are all properties that they actually own in their business so it's like the coolest way was was figuring out the format for it to keep it entertaining away from it being just a real estate show it's going to have this show about their families while doing real estate dope do you have an idea where you going
Starting point is 00:09:04 now you know what it's getting. It's getting really interesting because look, Charlamagne, when you start to see, look, even I'm on the board for the motion picture television fund. When I'm doing that, everybody, all of the heads of the studios are there. It's the night before the Emmys party and you're like like I get a chance to jump out on that and have fun That's my party now. That's my uh, you know how you Jay's brunch. Yeah. Okay, so mine's before the Emmys before so I'll do that there and then um It's a lot of fun just that I have relationships now With the heads of the studios and so many different networks that I've been, that I familiarize myself with while coming with these different projects.
Starting point is 00:09:49 And then the success rate is so high that they just, it's the right way. I think one of the unwritten laws of power is to appear not to need anything. And because they know I don't need to sell the show, they see it the right way. And then they buy the show because it's, the presentation is is like this is the opportunity for us to have a hit together. Not I don't need you to do this show. You know, a lot of people are pitching themselves or pitching the idea that, you know, kind of this points of desperation where they're trying to sell you something. Hey, guys, I'm Kate Max. You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. After those runs,
Starting point is 00:10:30 the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast, Post Run High, is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout? Well, that's when the real magic happens. So if you love hearing real, inspiring stories from the people you know, follow, and admire, join me every week for Post Run High. It's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the heart of it all. It's lighthearted, pretty crazy, and very fun. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app,
Starting point is 00:11:14 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag and just kind of looked out of like this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There's 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia. I'm Jackson the First, King of Kaperburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the
Starting point is 00:11:42 Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tried my country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God. What is that?
Starting point is 00:11:59 Bullets. Bullet holes. We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going
Starting point is 00:12:27 to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves, for self-preservation and protection. It was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:13:02 Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. So y'all, this is Questlove and I'm here to tell you about a new podcast I've been working on with the Story Pirates and John Glickman called Historical Records. It's a family-friendly podcast. Yeah, you heard that right.
Starting point is 00:13:30 A podcast for all ages. One you can listen to and enjoy with your kids starting on September 27th. I'm going to toss it over to the host of Historical Records, Nimany, to tell you all about it. Make sure you check it out. Hey, y'all. Nimminy here. I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records. Historical Records brings history to life through hip hop. Flash, slam, another one gone.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Bash, bam, another one gone. The crack of the bat and another one gone. The tip of the cap is another one gone. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history. Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing. Check it. Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records, because in order to make history, you have to make some noise. Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, everyone. This is Courtney Thorne-Smith, Laura Layton, and Daphne Zuniga.
Starting point is 00:14:57 On July 8, 1992, apartment buildings with pools were never quite the same as Melrose Place was introduced to the world. It took drama and mayhem to an entirely new level. We are going to be reliving every hookup, every scandal, every backstab, blackmail and explosion, and every single wig removal together. Secrets are revealed as we rewatch every moment with you. Special guests from back in the day will be dropping by. You know who they are. Sydney, Allison, and Joe are back together on Still the Place with a trip down memory lane and back to Melrose Place.
Starting point is 00:15:37 So listen to Still the Place on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Trying to hustle you a little bit. So Charlamagne, he's not telling you where he's going. That's his answer. He's not telling you where he's going. All of that. I will be back to tell you exactly what's happening.
Starting point is 00:16:01 But I just got multiple balls in there. And look, at the same time, I need those networks that think there's a strong possibility that I will to buy and move the projects that I have with them forward. The free iHeartRadio app has over 250,000 podcasts to explore. Yes. This is The Breakfast Club 30, part of Sunday Night Podcast on iHeartRadio. We're still kicking it with 50.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Yeah. All right, let's also talk about your other series, Hip Hop Homicides. That one sounds fascinating. Yeah. All right, let's also talk about your other series, Hip Hop Homicides. That one sounds fascinating. Yeah. So I don't want that. That one specifically, you know, that's going to hit home with us because it's just the culture. Even if you're not, when you report it, you kind of have information on people that you're not interested in.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Like you don't particularly like that artist enough to follow that artist, but you still know, we still culturally are aware of things happening with them. You know what I mean? And when you get into the homicide side of it, it's like 700 homicides connected to hip hop because the new artists, they come, they're still in the street. It's the whole, what would have been street culture is now it's like the drill scene drill music all that's happening so so many artists that get knocked off before they actually get to the point they're really recognizable artists we started with the artists that we TV picked but I looked at it like it was a true crime show so it was like Charlamagne if it was when I'm watching first 48 or when I'm watching First 48 or when
Starting point is 00:17:25 I'm watching Forensic Files, I don't care who it is. I'm just looking at the details of the scenario and imagining what happened. I'm trying to
Starting point is 00:17:33 figure out what happened before they tell me. Yeah, I think the thing that's going to f*** people up about hip-hop homicides when they see it,
Starting point is 00:17:40 especially people that's not of the culture, I think they're going to be shocked that so many of these rappers talk about the s*** that they're actually going through. Look, I would say, I try not to say nothing to DA in my playing court. That's right.
Starting point is 00:17:54 On 2003 in the records, right? And then when they go now, it's crazier because they almost say specifically, they're talking about a crime that was committed. In the music. Look, as much as you would say, no, this is art, and you're not for them using lyrics against the people when they're in those situations, it's tough when it's blatantly said,
Starting point is 00:18:17 this directly relates to this. You know what I'm saying? And then they gotta have better sense than that. You can't do that. You know what I mean? I see that they got to have better sense than that. You can't do that. You know what I mean? I see that in Carisha to BMF now, too. Yeah. Yeah, she's working on the BMF series.
Starting point is 00:18:31 And then, you know, City Girl's up like a moth. Did you do that just to fuck with Diddy? No, no. No, that was ahead of the thing with Daphne or whatever like that. But y'all know, I ain't kissed in the mouth in 10 years, man. Somebody got to kiss her. Oh, man. That's a wild...
Starting point is 00:18:52 That ain't no... Like, for real, for real. You know, like, it ain't one of those situations where, you know, they... Like, they'll still go back
Starting point is 00:19:03 to the baby mother and hang out with the baby mother, stuff like that. Nah, that's, and that was not like a relationship than anywhere, it was more like an arrangement. And look, Sy is my boy, I almost named him Champ, because of me and Floyd's relationship, he kept asking me to come back to Vegas. And then he'll go bring Daphne, I'm like, why?
Starting point is 00:19:24 He said, so we can leave for Women's Jackson and we can go. You know, Champ, out of four or five girls, there's his girlfriends right there. You know what I'm saying? So he just needs a reason
Starting point is 00:19:33 for them to be out of the way so we can go do everything else. And that kept her around consistent enough for that to happen, for us to have a little guy. But he's a blessing. I love him to death.
Starting point is 00:19:43 And this is the only thing, where do you leave the money? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I saw, you saw, you got this, what, Sire Spirits?
Starting point is 00:19:50 Yeah. And I put, even that company is for him to run later, you know, to develop it and get it going and then I'll go off
Starting point is 00:19:59 to something else and do some other things. Oh, yeah. And you got to collab with the Texans and the Kings and the Rockets and the Astros where they carry the liquor they carry the brands and the indian patients today it came out
Starting point is 00:20:10 in the inner paces with their official cognac and champagne wow so i'm going across that there the uh the the rockets the texans the astros the all of Houston, you know what I mean? Because I just got out there. I had to focus there right quick to get that together and then I went to Sacramento Kings. I had different spots in there. It's cool to be coming out full circle but you know like when the league is very tough for you to meet what they feel like a sufficient standard wise the person now i was constantly putting out material and it was the old 56 content they would be afraid to do business with me on that level and then you know when they don't see that coming up as much and they just see it doesn't reinstate the crazy yeah yeah yeah and you got whatever yeah you think yay's gonna have a
Starting point is 00:21:06 hard time dealing with business from now on dealing with manufacturers companies and all that yeah yeah because look when you personalize when things people when things hit people personally they are affected by it personally so they're using their personal judgment with what they want to work who they want to work with who not and when you like you say things that it affects people in a different way sean man it's like like when i tell even when the boy what's that came around the six nine i was saying if you got a problem have a problem with the person you have a problem with don't have a problem with all of chicago right you feel what i'm saying and then then what he's saying is really broad. So you really don't know who you started beef with just now.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Like who really is affected by it and dislikes you for saying that and saying he's just tired of you being around him anyway. Yeah. Yeah. That's what the 48 Laws of Power say. Don't offend the wrong person. Yeah. It don't take much.
Starting point is 00:22:04 People are in positions that they can block what you got coming. Now, one person that offended you was this whole penile enhancement situation. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:15 So, to be clear... My apologies, my friend. Angela, I've been working with this young for the whole time. I ain't gonna say it's a new one. They gonna tell me
Starting point is 00:22:23 it's the new one. Like, when she does that You know what I'm saying I'm saying no No I'm going to get her Going to get her It's like the Tierra Marie thing
Starting point is 00:22:31 Man it's for You do that It's not about money It's about you Making that mistake Blatant mistake You see what I'm saying And there's other people
Starting point is 00:22:41 That I'm sure I'm not sure What they done But I know Flo Rida didn't know he got a facial, bro. You see what I'm saying? What? He go to the spa, get a facial.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Oh, yeah, yeah. Okay, okay. Got a facial waiting, and they think that somehow that that was compensation by them being able to utilize you however they feel. Oh, gotcha. I get what you're saying. Got you.
Starting point is 00:23:03 Get to promote what comes. So you put pen on enhancement. however they feel. Oh, gotcha. I get what you're saying. Got you. It will promote what comes. So you put penal enhancement. I'm going to say you definitely you need to kind of figure out when you scratch
Starting point is 00:23:14 that money together before everybody's in trouble. Well, you saw Biblical Fox came to your defense. Well, she wasn't lying. She wasn't lying. She wasn't lying. But you know,
Starting point is 00:23:24 it could be a win either way Because now people know about this Enhancement surgery they could do That they might not have known before And so she could still They thinking that I'm directing them to do it Like I've done it That's wrong
Starting point is 00:23:38 Don't do that That's wrong It made Charlamagne want to go Because when we first saw him I just asked about the consultation I didn't want I'm not saying You know how many guys were like yeah I didn't even know you could do that even though we know it's a lawsuit and you didn't get it done
Starting point is 00:23:54 The fact that it exists now people know I never even heard anyone successfully doing that I've heard of Guys have had a lot of money, went and did that and died oh wow yeah, they tried to enhance themselves in that way and I'm like ah damn so you had everything else going and you was trying to fix that and f*** it all up
Starting point is 00:24:16 damn iHeartRadio, for podcast discovery this is the Breakfast Club 30 here we go your chance to hear the biggest trending podcast each week from the free iHeartRadio app. We're still kicking it with 50, Charlamagne. You got the BMF doc coming this Sunday, October 23rd.
Starting point is 00:24:33 That's going to be on Starz. Like, why a doc now? Like, we didn't see him the first season. Yeah, the doc, you know, Charlamagne, that was shot where they could have put it in the hole, the six-month gap that we had yeah so um but there were timing for for it to be seen so the doctor series will come on and the the night that the finale is on that will be the night that bmf season two permits also when the doc comes out
Starting point is 00:25:01 this saturday at midnight season two starts yeah that's when it starts and then when the doc comes out this Saturday at midnight, season two starts. Yeah, that's when it starts. And then when the finale shows up that evening, the finale airs, it's the evening that the DMF scripted series commits. Wow. You got so much going on. Raising Canaan is one of my favorite shows to watch right now. So I just want to say, the actor who plays like a young 50, he sounds like you for real.
Starting point is 00:25:25 He does. He slurs words. he does everything the way I'm like look he pays he's where he worked on that like because you don't really talk like that oh he does okay because I was wondering I was like he really sound like this no he really did he really pays attention to it because like y'all gotta say because you look at the interviews in here where I say things a little different and then he go could you say this like this or like that? And I'm on set and I'm like, yeah, you did it right the first time. Well, you did it. You know what's great about all these shows?
Starting point is 00:25:53 It really does elevate a lot of the people on them to a higher status. A lot of them have been in things, but maybe not had like a starring role. But I see like how much it's elevated people. Malcolm Mays, you you know he did an amazing job and i know he's done he's been in multiple things but for this this is a huge role and he was he was amazing in uh softball you know and i worked with him in that film before we got him to come back and him and like russell hornsby was in give richard dot trying with me i'm getting a chance to get the guys that I always like,
Starting point is 00:26:26 like to work with and put them in projects that are really exciting projects to get them to the next level. And then when things, look, we've made the biggest live events connected to television programming. So it gives us an advantage. Like we do, I do the premiere at Radio City Music Hall or at Madison Square Garden, or like in Atlanta, we in the shed, outdoors because of the COVID stuff.
Starting point is 00:26:50 You know what I mean? And it's a big enough event that I can bring all of the, I can kind of use my juice cart. Like I have everybody come out and do a little something. Because the event is already sold out. Everything's already set up. They just come rock you know you know fifth everybody wants to know is there a possibility of of you you know actually your son
Starting point is 00:27:12 your son wants to sit down with you no he doesn't see charlotte man you would call me you don't call tmz to say you want to sit down think about it man you know he's brought some attention And it's okay He can have as much of that as he wants You know it's just like He's been trained to believe What you see him say In that interview What he was saying he's been trained to believe that
Starting point is 00:27:38 For a long time You don't just wake up and say Oh I don't believe what I've been believing Forever When I said You don't just wake up and say, oh, I don't believe what I've been believing forever. You know what I mean? Like when I said that he's entitled, really it's his mom's entitlement that's been filtered. See, when I told you I was giving out half a million dollars a year, they go through the paperwork, they say half a million dollars a year.
Starting point is 00:28:00 At that point, she still was expecting more. This is why I took her to child support. You don't usually sign up for child support. Like, I took myself to child support because she wasn't understanding that I'm already giving you more than you're supposed to give. Then when it turns into the 6,700, that's not enough, and it's never going to be enough. But remember me constantly coming to you and talking to you about she don't want to work.
Starting point is 00:28:22 She needed to get a job. She didn't hear me. Yeah, you used to always say he's almost almost 18 the child support's gonna be up i'll be up soon and you don't see it because that's not real to them they just live in the moment like and it's fine i'll take care of it on the next thing when it comes the next the next check is coming in every month like i i don't feel the pressure that or resentment that men feel which I'll support because I take care of it when the problem time mm-hmm me now I took the money and moved it to us account that year so on the books that was an expense for that year and then the next year I didn't feel that
Starting point is 00:28:58 financially anymore and it was like they was receiving it every month but I had already put that money since I already took the loss on that year. So later, if you're not having years that bring in the same kind of money, it may affect you more later. I mean, if your career slows down, if you're not, you know, like I just didn't want that to be an issue at any point. So I just took care of it.
Starting point is 00:29:22 Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed? at any point, so I just took care of it. The side is, the situation when I have... Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider this, start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy.

I'm Jackson the first, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I trade my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh, my God.

Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself, and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
Starting point is 00:31:48 For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay.

And for him, it's his aunt. His aunt's going to make it easier for me because I don't really like his mom's like that. So, but we have been able to share and raise him. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:35:12 No real fighting ads like that. And we go on outside of you, you would think puff that puppy situation you would, there's nothing else there. No problem. You know, most young men grow up and they realize that, you you know they was only getting one side of the story Usually from the mother So that's when they want to you know go talk to the pops and they be like damn have that relationship
Starting point is 00:35:34 It kind of happened in Raising Canaan Yeah you know Raising Canaan was like really like him It's the kid that's been sheltered and he looks and he's excited by ghosts. He's wearing a suit and stuff. And you don't really understand who ghosts is. You see what I'm saying? They just came into jail to make that. And he wanted to get his business back.
Starting point is 00:35:57 It was just allowing him the opportunity to deal with that. So he would deserve everything that he did for him. You see what I'm saying? And that character but when you look at to this point when you've if you've mailed someone a million dollars right and have zero respect for you how much you think you got to give them before they have a little bit damn damn it's not gonna that the relationship i don't think that works so you so you you would never be open to it no i don't think that works yeah so you so you you would never be open to it no i don't think the relationship works i'm not look for a long time telling me i went
Starting point is 00:36:31 i've been running behind him i went places that he went and he left the place you see what i'm saying and then there's a i went to uh even the text messages that was out if y'all get a chance to look at him that's me talking to his mother. His mother's texting me through his phone. You see what I'm saying? So I said the thing that I said, knowing that this is her responding to me. And it looks a little rough for what I'm saying to him, but it's the circumstances of, look, what's the penalty if you're not following the order? All you do is go back to court.
Starting point is 00:37:03 Yeah, yeah. She never got a job. What is the penalty? There's not following the order all you do is go back to court yeah yeah she never got a job what is the penalty there's no penalty for her they're going to tell me to pay my lawyer to pay her lawyer that's real they pay for everything every time you go do it and there's no penalty for her because she doesn't have anything outside of what they're saying is support for the job so what what do they do they they're not going to tell her to pay for anything she just to get to the same energy you see there has been there the whole time look you told my kid that's not even a kid he's 25 years old you know my issue was a 16 angela they wanted to charge me as an adult then you see what i'm saying so you you look and you go when you gonna figure it out right they front and like they act like they got
Starting point is 00:37:45 money you ain't got no money ain't no money there the house that they stayed in in atlanta while he was out there foreclosed on them before they left as the chancellor was a complete mismanager the money that you was being said they'll look and keep making reference to that point that they have money that was the point that you was around me. But they don't have nothing now. He was in Queens working in Vanity. He's the hookah boy. You see what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:38:14 So while he's there, go order a hookah, watermelon hookah, and you see him go get it. Man, shut up, Fifth, man. By the way, Fifth, you are the person who said, have a baby by me, baby, be a millionaire. So that's your fault. Yeah. This is after I got the numbers back i've been told me what's gonna happen if you do i said what that's crazy we appreciate you checking in and we're waiting to hear that announcement to see where you're going man
Starting point is 00:38:37 yep yeah it's all love man it's gonna be good you know that i you should i think you please move me airing your podcast? Don't think I don't got my ears everywhere. I'm all in the street. I'm on everything, bro. Don't think I'm not paying attention to everything. Like, there's a. We got to figure something out.
Starting point is 00:38:56 Definitely. I would love to. A hundred percent. I tell people all the time. 51 of the biggest people out here moving in television. And for whatever reason, it don't feel like hollywood is giving you that recognition but it's not too many people doing it like you're doing it black all white but then our culture they'll see who's making things get done you see what i'm saying and then how it moves and they you know i don't need trophies
Starting point is 00:39:18 man i got not enough of them with the music it's just just to get more done. It's there. Like, I got 26 shows right now. Dang. Yeah, that next deal going to be like 11 figures. They're going to have to pay. I ain't going. I ain't even going to do it. I'll be like this. No, I like it here.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Nice and new. By myself. And then I'll build the studios and everything else. I'll start making them myself instead of giving them to them first. Word. Appreciate you, Phif. Yeah, when you're back in New York, you got to come up. Definitely. I come making them myself instead of giving them to them first. All right. Appreciate you, Phif. Yeah, when you're back in New York, you got to come up.
Starting point is 00:39:47 Definitely, I come up here bright and early. All right. 50 Cent, it's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The free iHeartRadio app has over 250,000 podcasts to explore.
Starting point is 00:39:58 Yes. This is The Breakfast Club 30, part of Sunday Night Podcast on iHeartRadio. I was born a donkey. It's the donkey of the day. Love 30, part of Sunday Night Podcast on iHeartRadio. I was born a donkey. It's the donkey of the day. Donkey, donkey, donkey.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Bunch of f***ing fat guys. It's time for the donkey of the day. That's pretty funny. Charlamagne the devil? Possibly. The Breakfast Club. Yeah, it's donkey of the day for Monday, October 17th goes the members of a group called Just Stop Oil. Who is Just Stop Oil?
Starting point is 00:40:35 They are a bunch of climate protesters, and they protest the extraction and use of fossil fuels. Noble cause. Very honorable. It's really amazing to me how God gave us everything we needed to survive and thrive here on this third rock from the sun, and we have found a way to mess it up okay we don't we don't we didn't take care of the earth so why should the earth take care of us i appreciate these organizations like just stop oil i appreciate their attempts to save us from themselves but protests have to make sense and this protest makes absolutely no sense let's go to ab ABC News for the report, please. Two protesters were arrested for vandalizing a masterpiece by Van Gogh at the National Gallery in London. Climate activists throwing what authorities say appeared to be tomato soup on Van Gogh's famous sunflowers painting, then gluing their hands to the wall.
Starting point is 00:41:16 The painting protected by glass. It was not damaged. How in the hell does vandalism of a Van Gogh equate to a protest of the use of fossil fuels? School me. I don't know. I was pouring two cans of tomato soup on a Van Gogh painting a protest. The painting was protected by glass or didn't suffer any damages. So what was the point? Then they decided to glue their hands to the wall just under the Van Gogh. What is worth more, art or life? One of the protesters said, is it worth more than food, worth more than justice?
Starting point is 00:41:49 The activists yelled, adding, are you more concerned about the protection of a painting or the protection of our planet and people? Great question. I personally care about the protection of our planet and people. But I can see a security guard who works there at the National Gallery right now in that moment caring more about the protection of that painting. So you, my friend, are under arrest for vandalism. The activist said they used soup to show that the cost of living crisis is part of the cost of oil crisis. She said fuel is unaffordable to millions of cold, hungry families,
Starting point is 00:42:24 and being that fuel is so high, it makes it to where they can't even afford to heat a tin of soup. Hmm. Interesting. Well, instead of wasting that soup pouring in on pouring in on the van, go. How about donate the soup to those same families you say can't even afford a tin of soup? Huh? Just a thought. Now, this is a thing where a lot of members of the Just Stop Oil team are gluing their hands to frames of famous paintings. And I am here to tell you it's all a waste of glue. OK, I know that you think you are bringing attention to this situation and you are, but not for the right reasons. See, here's the thing. If you want people to care, then you have to damage something a mass majority of people care about. OK, Van Gogh's. I mean, that's for the bougie and elite of the world. You got to attempt to damage something that a mass amount of people use and care about. Okay? Van Gogh's, I mean, that's for the bougie and elite of the world.
Starting point is 00:43:06 You got to attempt to damage something that a mass amount of people use and care about. Go damage a Chick-fil-A or something. All right? Glue yourself to a counter at Chick-fil-A and keep everyone from getting that number one with cheese. Okay? You damage and glue yourself to something that's more than a niche group of
Starting point is 00:43:22 people care about. Glue yourself to Envy's cheeks. Okay, I'm sure somebody will pay attention then. And I understand that Van Gogh is one of the most valuable paintings in the world and it's worth a lot, but I don't think a mass majority of people care about that level of elitism. Okay, damaging of Van Gogh is more of a protest against capitalism, maybe. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I just know that the more I talk about this, the more I forget what the hell they were protesting to begin with. And that is the point. Please give the members of the group Just Stop Oil the biggest hee-haw. I think these protests are a little... I think I'm through a little bit more. That's all. Alright, well thank you for
