Starting point is 00:00:00 Had enough of this country? Ever dreamt about starting your own? I planted the flag. This is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Or maybe not. No country willingly gives up their territory. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:00:16 What is that? Bullets. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. We need help! That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey guys, I'm Kate Max. You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast
Starting point is 00:00:46 Post Run High is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. The Breakfast Club. Good morning, USA! D-J-M-E. Charlamagne Tha God. Peace to the planet. It's Monday.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Yes, it's Monday. Top of the work week. Good morning. Yes, good morning. How was everybody's weekend? Mine was amazing. Mine was a family weekend. I did all types of corny family stuff, but it was fun.
Starting point is 00:02:38 I don't like how you say your weekend was a family weekend as if you have any other option. No, sometimes I'm working. Sometimes I'm on the road. Sometimes I'm not here. Sometimes I'm not here. So this was my, I call it my family corny weekend. Why is it corny? Because I did stuff that we usually don't do. Like, this is like really corny stuff.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Like what? Like I went to Central Park and had a picnic. Why is that corny? Because I've never done that before. Just because you've never done it doesn't make it corny. It was, we had a picnic. We went and got food. So, you know, my kids just wanted to have a picnic.
Starting point is 00:03:01 So we went and did a picnic. And we were out there for three, four hours in the heat. People were out there sun tanning. I'd never been to Central Park like that. Now, what's corny about that is you left the beautiful state of New Jersey to come to Central Park and have a goddamn picnic. I thought the same thing. But my kids wanted to go to the city to do a picnic. So we did a picnic.
Starting point is 00:03:17 And we were out there for about four or five hours. And I realized that it was corny. I was like, this sucks. It wasn't during the blackout, was it? No, no. Because it was a blackout. Blackout was Saturday. This was Sunday. They must have saw when they see us and was like, this sucks. It wasn't during the blackout, was it? No, no. Blackout was Saturday. This was Sunday.
Starting point is 00:03:26 They must have saw when they see us and was like, you know what? Let's go see what this Central Park thing is all about. There's not too many minorities out there. Not too many black people. Not too many Spanish people. It was just me, right? Okay. So you cover both.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Right. Okay. Dominican and a little bit of black. So then after that, I went to a bubble show. It was a bubble show. They have like a bubble show for kids where they do different type of... I didn't know that there's bubble shows. That it's not just the regular bubbles.
Starting point is 00:03:49 They do like tricks with bubbles and stuff. Well, I think now is a great time to tell everybody that today is National Be A Dork Day. Drop one of the clues, Bob. I was definitely being dork. No, it's a real holiday. It's a real holiday called National Be A Dork Day. Yes. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:02 So I just thought that was a great segue into that bit of news. And then after that, I went to the Medieval Times show. Y'all ever did that? I like Medieval Times. I did Medieval Times. Are you talking about the place Medieval Times? Yes, the place Medieval Times. Is that the one that was featured on, was it Cable Guy?
Starting point is 00:04:17 I didn't see Cable Guy. You never saw that with Jim Carrey? No, I didn't see that. But, you know, they bring you back into the Medieval Times. So you're supposed to eat no silverware. You got to eat with your hands. Food is trash. Food is decent.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Food is trash. It's decent. It's like all-inclusive resort trash. It's just chicken. You just get chicken and corn. That's all you get in a potato. It's all-inclusive resort trash. And lemonade and water.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Yeah, yeah. So, you know, my wife knows ahead of time, so she brings her own silverware on the side so we can eat. Yeah. It was my family dark weekend. eat. Yeah, it was my family dork weekend. Yes. I was in Staten Island over the weekend hosting a talent show. She made it seem like Staten Island was mad far away.
Starting point is 00:04:53 I was out in Staten Island. That's what I was doing because I was in Staten Island, and I hosted a talent show. It was called Staten's Got Talent. Okay. It was in Staten Island's Got Talent, and it was actually a lot of great talent at the talent show. The kid who won
Starting point is 00:05:05 is a star. Okay. He's only 15 years old. His name is 833. That's his name but Method Man was there. He was a judge. What is 833?
Starting point is 00:05:14 Is that an area code somewhere? I don't know. Maybe it's the building he's from. Who knows? I have no idea. Well, sign him. So, I don't have a label.
Starting point is 00:05:22 So, how can I sign somebody? Wayno, we got an artist for you, Wayno. Yeah, it was actually really good. Method Man was really excited when he performed, and my boy Hassan Johnson from Webe, he was one of the judges as well. It was a fun time.
Starting point is 00:05:34 And then, you know, my goddaughter's been staying with me all week, so... How's that working out? Because I don't see her here this morning. You know what? So this morning she woke up on time, and she said, is there a place for me to sleep
Starting point is 00:05:43 when I get up to your job? And I said, why don't you just stay home? I've been trying to get her to just, you know, roll with me, work, but she's been exhausted. She said that for a lot, man. This is my vacation before college. I do a lot of stuff all day, and by 8 o'clock at night, even earlier than that, she's exhausted. So I told her she could stay in. What about you, Charlamagne?
Starting point is 00:06:03 Did you ever see Spider-Man? No, I'm going to see Spider-Man today. I had a great weekend until I watched My Girl on Saturday, the movie starring Macaulay Culkin. I don't know why I watched My Girl. That was My Girl. When I knew how it was going to make me feel. But, man, that movie has historically always made me cry
Starting point is 00:06:19 and always put me in a funk. But when I watched that movie Saturday and I saw Thomas J get stung by them bees and then that damn funeral scene, man, I really did not get out that funk. I was depressed all Saturday night. All day Sunday. Man, it was bad.
Starting point is 00:06:36 No, I'm good now. I think I'm good. I woke up this morning pretty good. Went to sleep still kind of depressed a little bit. Yo, My Girl is a sad ass movie, man. There's no way in hell if you don't cry when you see her run up in that funeral and say,
Starting point is 00:06:51 his glasses, his glasses, he can't see without his glasses. She's like, Thomas J., let's go play. Let's go climb the tree. Oh, my God, man. You definitely need a hug. There's no way. If you don't cry when you see that scene, you have no soul. You hear me? Today is global hug your kids day
Starting point is 00:07:07 You wanna hug bro? You not my daddy So you ain't even gotta worry about that now Alright Let's get this show cracking Now from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Tommy Lee will be joining us Oh yeah she just got out of jail
Starting point is 00:07:20 Like a little over a week ago Yeah for uh Is it allegedly if she Pleaded out? No, it's not allegedly. For beating up her kids, allegedly, I'll say that. How old are the kids?
Starting point is 00:07:30 One daughter. 11. You can't beat up your 11. Allegedly, you know, throwing her against a locker and coming up to court drunk.
Starting point is 00:07:39 I got to hear both sides. I got to hear why she threw her up. We'll talk to you. I wasn't here for that interview. I got to hear what she got to say. Yeah, we'll talk to her in a little bit. I wasn't here for that. I got to hear what she got to say. Yeah, we'll talk to him a little bit.
Starting point is 00:07:46 And then we got front page news. What are we talking about? Well, let's talk about Donald Trump versus Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. And listen, he said some very racist things. And yes, and we have to make sure that we bring some light to this. He's so ignorant. All right. We'll get into all that when we come back.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia.
Starting point is 00:08:30 I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tribe own country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's what my podcast, Post Run High, is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories,
Starting point is 00:09:28 their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout? Well, that's when the real magic happens. So if you love hearing real, inspiring stories from the people you know follow and admire join me every week for post run high it's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the
Starting point is 00:09:52 heart of it all it's light-hearted pretty crazy and very fun listen to post run high on the i heart radio app apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself, and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection,
Starting point is 00:10:30 it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best and you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:11:03 or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news. Where we starting, Yee? Well, let's talk about the NFL because the commissioner and the NFL owners are talking about extending the regular season to 18 games from 16 games,
Starting point is 00:11:24 and they're still wanting to do that. That's too much. That is too much. They're going to hurt them players. They want to get that money. If they're cutting the preseason, they should cut the preseason, and they should cut the regular season as well. 16 games is long.
Starting point is 00:11:36 That's a long time. Although I love football, and I would love to see it, but the players get hurt, man. They're getting hit every weekend. Nah, that's too much. Yeah, they actually should shorten the season, especially being that you ain't paying these people no money. Alright, now let's talk about
Starting point is 00:11:48 Donald Trump and his tweets. So, he went on Twitter and he says, so interesting to see progressive Democrat Congresswomen who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world, if they even have
Starting point is 00:12:04 a functioning government at all, now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came, then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly. You can't leave fast enough.
Starting point is 00:12:23 I'm sure Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements. Only thing is that these women are from the United States. Three out of four of them were born here in the United States. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said, Mr. President, the country I come from and the country we all swear to is the United States. But given how you've destroyed our border with inhumane camps, all at a benefit to you and the corps who profit off them, you
Starting point is 00:12:47 are absolutely right about the corruption laid at your feet. And the other congresswoman who he was taking aim at also responded. Rashida Tlaib said, I'm fighting corruption in our country. I do it every day when I hold your administration accountable. As a U.S. congresswoman, Detroit taught me how to fight
Starting point is 00:13:03 for the communities. You continue to degrade and attack. Keep talking. You'll be out of the White House soon. Well, AOC, Omar, Presley, how you pronounce it? Tlaib? Tlaib. Like, they the only Dems on Capitol Hill that's really down the ride.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Like, the rest of the Democrats in Congress asking Doughboy to let them out the car. Because the Dems on Capitol Hill are absolute cowards, except for those four right there. It's still crazy how you can be a racist and be a president. Go back to the country. That is insane. Well, the thing, calling Donald Trump a racist, that's not even a hot take. That's stating the obvious. Not to mention, calling him a racist isn't going to keep him
Starting point is 00:13:35 out of the office in 2020 because the people who voted for him either, A, don't care that he's a racist because his racism doesn't affect him, or B, they are racist too. So what we need to be doing is calling Trump, you know, calling Trump out based off what's in the Mueller report. Call him a criminal. Call out the felonies he's committed. Call out the obstruction of justice. We have to start letting the case of Donald Trump play out in the court of public opinion.
Starting point is 00:13:53 They attack on women. It's crazy. Huh? That's not in the Mueller report. I'm talking about like. No, I'm talking about in general. That too. That's all of that.
Starting point is 00:13:59 To be honest with you, nobody cares about that. And the reason nobody cares about that is because the people who voted for him don't care. And they'll vote for him in 2020, even with all that over his head. But you can't be a racist and be an executive at any of these companies. You can't be a racist and work, let's say, for this radio station. You can't be a racist. You can't even make fries. You can't do, yeah, you can't even be a racist and make french fries.
Starting point is 00:14:19 But you can be a racist and be a president. They need to be calling Trump out based off what's in the Mueller report. Call out the felonies he's committed. Call out the obstruction of justice. You have to start letting the case of Donald Trump play out in the court of public opinion. And whoever leads that charge is going to end up being the leader of the Democratic Party. All right. Well, get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:14:37 800-585-1051. Maybe you had a horrible weekend and you want to vent. Or maybe you had a great weekend and you want to spread some positivity. Whatever it may be. 800-585-1051. Get it off your chest. Hit us up now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Wake up, wake up. This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're mad or blessed, we want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? What, Jay, man? What's up, Jay? Jay from the A?
Starting point is 00:15:06 What up, bro? Jay from the A. He might be gay. Get it off your chest. No, no. Goodness gracious. Hey, man, I want to shout out my girl from Super Peach, man, from the Rap Game Season 1, man. She got a hot song out. You know what I'm talking about?
Starting point is 00:15:23 Super Peach? I don't get that part of your vision, man. She got a hot song out. You know what I'm talking about? Super Peach? I don't get that card of your vision, man. Super Peach. How dope is she? Because Jermaine Dupri didn't acknowledge her or sign her, did he? Nah, man. She was the bad one. You know what I'm saying? It was just hate. That's all. Okay. Alright. Well, have a good one, bro.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Alright, man. Sean, what's up? Get it off your chest, Sean. Hey, what's up, buddy? I called like two months ago to talk to you guys about getting tips. I mean, about tipping your delivery driver. Yeah, that's not the why. You can't call up
Starting point is 00:15:49 to a couple of guys and say I called you about getting tips. What are you on this morning? That's twice. That's two for two. But go ahead, brother. Hey, but I got through
Starting point is 00:15:57 a few months ago and I just wanted to say thank you guys because I feel like you kind of helped me because I'm getting more tips now. There you are.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Congratulations. Glad you enjoy it. What kind of lube do you use? What do you say, dude? Nothing. Have a good one, bro. Trav, what's up? Yo, what's good, Andrew?
Starting point is 00:16:14 Hey, Trav. I just want to tell you, Sholomay, you've been very horny this morning. I just want to tell you that. I'm not horny. Oh, God. He said, oh, God. What's up, Sholomay?
Starting point is 00:16:21 How you, Hornball? What up, sis? How you? Hornball. I'm doing good, good. I'm doing good. Listen, well, actually, God. How you, Hornball? What up, sis? How you? Hornball. I'm doing good, good. I'm doing good. Listen, well, actually, a couple of things. First, Yee, can I say something to you?
Starting point is 00:16:31 Yes. So last week, you had somebody call in and try to go in on you about not being married and not having kids. I want to say to you, listen, a lot of men aren't used to a strong, independent woman that don't allow men to constantly and consistently cheat on them and stay around. And you're just one of them that don't allow that. You're such a huge role model and idol to a young woman about you're not going to let no man do anything to you. And you just stand and stay around and let that happen, yo. That's why I respect you and I admire you. And I love you, Yee. And don't let nobody talk to you like that. That's why I respect you and I admire you and I love you, ye.
Starting point is 00:17:08 And don't let nobody talk to you like that. Oh, well, thank you, Trev. I appreciate it. I mean, look, I'm in a relationship. We just haven't done that yet. So, it's a choice. I know, that's right. And there's no rush for it. There's no rush for it. But anyway, listen, I want to talk about this straight pride parade that's happening next month. Wait, what? August 31st.
Starting point is 00:17:23 How is it a straight pride parade? So Boston approved for them to have a straight pride parade next month on August 31st. And that's what I say. I support y'all, straight community. I hope all the gays go out and flood the streets on August 31st in Boston and stand and be
Starting point is 00:17:39 allies to the straight community. I know how hard it is for y'all to come out as straight. And yeah, I support y'all. That's crazy. That's real and it is for y'all to come out as straight. And yeah, I support that, man. Oh my God, that is crazy. That's real and it's not crazy.
Starting point is 00:17:49 You should have no problem with that, Trav. You really should. He said, I know how hard it is for y'all to come out as straight. Because if gay people
Starting point is 00:17:56 could have a pride parade, I mean, I understand why they do it, but hey, if straight people want to have, you know, a straight parade,
Starting point is 00:18:02 let them do it too. Who cares? You know what, sometimes some straight people gotta come out the closet as straight, you know, a scrape parade, let them do it too. Who cares? You know what? Sometimes some straight people got to come out the closet and scrape. You know, Lil Duval made a post last week where he said he's old-fashioned and he still likes vagina. And people like Lil Duval sometimes got to let us know that they're straight because we don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:18 I thought Lil Duval was gay. So thank you, Duval, for coming out here straight. I stand with you. I support you as a queen. And I support you. If I'm being honest. I don't think... And I support you. If I'm being honest, I don't think that there should be a press conference
Starting point is 00:18:27 when people, you know, come out as gay. If you want to be gay, you should be gay. Like, in order for us to normalize it, it shouldn't be a thing. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:18:34 Like, it should just be a regular occurrence. It sounds good if people weren't still getting beat up and ostracized. Duval came out of the street and said he's old-fashioned and he likes ****.
Starting point is 00:18:42 So, thank you, little Duval, for coming out of the street. We stand with you. Amen. No need for a press conference with that either, but we're going, little dude, for coming out here straight. We stand with you. Amen. No need for a press conference with that either, but we're going to take it. Trav, Trav. Stand with y'all. Trav, who you **** don't make me ****.
Starting point is 00:18:52 That's right. Straight off game. So, if y'all want to have parade, if everybody want to have parade, go ahead. Do your thing, man. Bye, Trav. I stand with y'all. Bye. I don't understand the point of announcing anything that you do sexually, period.
Starting point is 00:19:04 You got me kinky this morning. I just want to say that, man. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you need to vent, hit us up now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:19:18 This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed. You better have the same energy. We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? Hey, yo, this is Crazy Carl, the crackhead MV, and I want you to know that if you're mean to me again, I'll stick a hot crack pipe up your nose. This is the Toast Sucker.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Yeah, this is Big Chocolate, the Toast Sucker. What you want, brother? Hey. How y'all doing, man? Good disguise. We doing good, man. You ain't sucking up toes this weekend? Yo, yeah, I tried, brother, but no luck.
Starting point is 00:19:44 You know, no luck. You know, no luck. So maybe you can help me out next week. Listen, so when we last talked, Envy, you jinxed me. I said I was going up to Foxwoods Casino to see the Snoop Dogg show, right? Right. Try and get on stage with him and tell the brothers to put down gin and juice, start sucking some toes, getting a video with him.
Starting point is 00:20:03 So I wasn't able to get on stage, and I think you jinxed me, but I was able to speak to one of his bodyguards. So he said he'll try and put in a good word for me. You know what I'm saying? But he had a kick-ass show at the Shrine Club and everybody had a good time. We're going to do it. We did a video and I had the Shrine girls do a shout-out to Breakfast Club. We got them in it. So we're going to have it up and running
Starting point is 00:20:19 and y'all are going to see it soon. You know what, man? The fact that you're over 40 years old and your goal was to go to the Stoop Dog Show this weekend and suck toes during Gin and Juice is sad. But you know what? It is very sad. Live your best life, sir. Whatever makes you happy.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Let me say something. Why does the stupid one always speak first? Yo, bitch. I didn't speak first. I've been letting you speak for the past four minutes. You my pal, man. Take care, guys. Goodness gracious.
Starting point is 00:20:41 Oh, my gosh. John, what's up, John? What's going on, man? We're here for you, brother. Come on, talk to us, man. Talk to us, man. What's going on in your life, John, man? Man, so I'm with my girl or whatever.
Starting point is 00:20:55 She moved to California, and we're still trying to work it out or whatever. But in all reality, she's cheating on me. Your girl's cheating on you, man. Where you at? Where you at? It sounds like you're whispering. No, I'm saying how long is the distance? What state are you in? I'm in LA. And she's in LA and she's cheating on you. How do you know she's cheating on you?
Starting point is 00:21:18 Did you just say his girl moved to California? He's in Atlanta and she's in California. Oh, you said Atlanta. I thought you said LA. Nah, I'm in Atlanta. She's in LA. How do you know she. I thought you said LA. No, I'm in Atlanta. She in LA. How do you know she's cheating on you? I'm like a detective, man. Oh, Lord. I'm on Facebook.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Stop cursing, first of all. And second of all, how you know he's not just friends, bro? So you broke into her Facebook? Yep. Not even, I ain't breaking into it. We had that trust. I have hers and she has mine. And what'd you see?
Starting point is 00:21:45 Yeah, I just seen a message talking about, like, hey, boo, this, that, and the third. So I hit him up. Like, yo, I got a little text-free app. I changed the number. Like, I got a different number. Like, yo, I acted like her. I was like, damn. I'm only assuming that the person she's talking to has
Starting point is 00:22:06 much better conversation than yours. Their voice doesn't drag. They're probably exciting when they talk. You're boring. So I can totally understand why she would be having a conversation with somebody else. He's hurt, bro. Anything else? She's having a conversation
Starting point is 00:22:21 with somebody else. Yeah, I do. But listen, you in Atlanta, it's a lot of women there. It's a lot of men there. You know, you got a lot of pickings out there, baby. Don't limit yourself, okay? You sure the guy didn't know it was you? Nope. And I told him at the very end.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Well, I'm sorry, bro. Nothing I can do, man. I got all the information I needed, and I told him at the very end. Oh, so he was pretending to be his girl. Yeah. Oh, wow. This is like that episode of Black Mirror I saw this weekend. Well, I'm sorry, bro.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Ain't nothing I can do, man. Striking vipers. Like Charlamagne said, there's a lot in Atlanta, man. Is that still your girl? I want it to be. Okay, you want to work it out. You cried last night. He's crying right now.
Starting point is 00:23:04 I'm going to be honest with you. I know how your girl feels right now. I know how your girl feels right now. I know how your girl feels right now. I've been talking to you for five minutes, and I'm tired of talking to you. So I can imagine how she feels. Sorry, brother. You have a good one, though. Be strong.
Starting point is 00:23:15 That's so sad. I feel bad. Tone. What's up, bro? What's up, bro? Go ahead, man. Get it off your chest. I just want to say happy birthday to my six-year-old
Starting point is 00:23:26 daughter. She's turned six today. Ariel Liliana Bond. You know. Well, happy birthday to her. What you doing for her birthday? I appreciate y'all letting me get through. What you doing for her birthday? That's it. We're actually going to a dolphin watch.
Starting point is 00:23:42 Oh, okay. Where y'all from? Virginia. Okay. We'll enjoy thatphin Watch. Oh, okay. Where y'all from? Virginia. Okay. We'll enjoy that, brother. All right. Appreciate it. All right, bro. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051.
Starting point is 00:23:52 We got rumors on the way, Yee? Yes. Find out why Drake fans are mad at him. Also, Lamar Odom, we told you about him being cut by the Big 3. Well, we'll tell you what his response is because he found out that news just like us. Damn it, man. All right. We'll get into that next. Keep it locked. This is The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Hey, morning everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get to these rumors. Let's talk Lamar Odom. Listen up. It's just in. All the gossip. Gossip. The Rumor Report. Gossip. Gossip.
Starting point is 00:24:23 With Angela Yee. It's The Rumor Report. The Breakfast report. With Angela Yee. It's the rumor report. The Breakfast Club. Well, Lamar Odom is rightfully upset about being cut from the Big 3, but it's the way that he was cut also. Now, he posted on social media, the Big 3 decided to deactivate me for the remainder of the 2019 season. I respect Ice Cube and the other league execs.
Starting point is 00:24:45 However, I'm extremely disappointed with the way this has been handled. Besides the embarrassment, it's disappointing to read on IG that this decision had been made, especially without sharing it with myself or my manager. Only after I heard from the media, I was then told the big boys cutting checks decided they had to deactivate me with no real specific explanation. They did say on TMZ that health was their concern. That was foul. They should have reached out to him first at least. He also was excited. He said to play in Rhode Island. He said the Rhode Island game that is
Starting point is 00:25:12 happening was the game I've been looking forward to the most. As many people know, this is where it all started for me. What, did his physical come back bad? Did he fail a drug test or something? I guess he just wasn't in great shape. But he played one game, didn't he? Yeah, he definitely played one game at least. He scored like four points or something like that?
Starting point is 00:25:27 Two points or three points? I mean, he's been off for a couple of years. I guess he wanted them to let him know first before it broke in the media. It makes sense. Basically. Now, according to executives at the Big Three, they're saying that they did make multiple attempts to reach him, but they never got a response.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Lamar ain't got no phone. Shut up. Lamar got to have a phone. Maybe they're like, hey, we need to talk, and he just never responded. Should have DM'd him. All right, now J-Lo, she was supposed to perform in New York City
Starting point is 00:25:54 over the weekend at Madison Square Garden, but the timing was off. You know why? We told you there was a blackout in New York, and unfortunately it happened right when her show was about to happen. Here's what she said on Instagram. Hi, guys. So we're backstage. They just told me to get off stage. I was waiting there. Obviously, all the power went out in the city and obviously here at Madison Square Garden while we
Starting point is 00:26:15 were in the middle of our show. Actually, we have just started our show. They're asking everybody to evacuate very slowly and calmly. I am obviously heartbroken and devastated. That had to suck, man. I was having a convo with one of my guys yesterday. My man Mark at a birthday party for a young lady who cheers him with my daughter. But he was at the concert and like it's rescheduled for the day. But I think if you work every day, Saturday night is a night out for you. Correct.
Starting point is 00:26:41 So you can't just up and leave on a Monday night to go to a J-Lo concert. You know what I'm saying? Well, I mean, she's still doing it today. She's rescheduling today. It's at nighttime. There's nothing she can do about it. There's nothing she can do. It's an act of God.
Starting point is 00:26:52 I think that's what they call it if that happens. Yeah, I'm not saying it's her fault. That's more like Con Edison. It is Con Edison. But they call it an act of God if that happens. You know, because she really ain't got to do another show. She was there. I'm not saying it's her fault.
Starting point is 00:27:03 But, you know, you got to think about what day the concert was on. It was on a Saturday. So if you're going to reschedule, I understand you got a busy schedule. How about reschedule so the working class people can actually come to the show? J-Lo is probably booked out every weekend from here on out. I'm sure she is. And imagine if you flew in for the weekend. That's what I'm saying, man.
Starting point is 00:27:18 That's even worse. And you left already. It ain't her fault. No, I'm just saying it's unfortunate. It is. All around. I'm just saying when you're reschedul is. All around. I'm just saying, when you're rescheduling,
Starting point is 00:27:26 think about the people that come to your shows, the regular working class people that probably can't get out on a Monday. That's all I'm saying. Now, Soulja Boy, Tillum is out of jail.
Starting point is 00:27:33 Yes, he's out of jail early. So congratulations to him. He is out of jail early for a combination of reasons. It's because he was, you know, good behavior, time served,
Starting point is 00:27:44 and overcrowding. So he's out 146 days earlier than anticipated. So congratulations to him. It's weird. I don't feel like congratulating him for that. It just feels weird. Congratulations, you got out of jail early. You got to have the biggest comeback.
Starting point is 00:27:55 That's a big deal. 146 days early? That is a congratulations. You should have never been in there to begin with, though. Well, of course. All right, Drake fans. Congratulations for graduating school early. I'm not happy about the OVO Festival ticket prices.
Starting point is 00:28:09 What are the prices? Well, let me tell you something. These prices, if you want to be general admission on the floor, $1,000. If you want to be in official platinum, that's $1,000. The lawn general admission, $500. I'm looking at these prices, the lawn, general admission, they have a lawn ticket
Starting point is 00:28:29 that is, the lowest price I saw on here was $185. Stop complaining, Canada. Y'all don't gotta pay for healthcare. Y'all got money for them goddamn tickets. Stop it, man. That is very expensive. All these concerts being that expensive. If you want to sit on the floor or front row, they're all expensive. No matter what show I've
Starting point is 00:28:46 ever been to, that's what the ticket price is usually off. Some of those tickets went up to actually $2,000. Is that crazy? No, you don't pay for no college, no health care in Canada. Y'all got it. But then again, is that $2,000 to see Omarion, Lloyd, B2K
Starting point is 00:29:02 and them? It's for the whole weekend, ain't it? Yeah, there's tickets for the actual concert. Oh, for the whole weekend? That makes sense. You get two concerts? Don't get me to lie now. I'm just assuming. No, because it's really for the concert.
Starting point is 00:29:13 There's two concerts, though. Yeah, there's two concerts. So I'm not sure it's for both concerts, but they do have this just as a... If it's for both concerts, I get it. Do they pay for college in Canada? Yes. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:24 I know they don't pay for health care. No, they don't. Either way, y'all got it, man they pay for college in Canada? Yes. They do? I don't know. I don't know. I know they don't pay for health care. No, they don't. Either way, y'all got it, man. Stop it, man. Come on. Knock it off.
Starting point is 00:29:30 That's a lot. Sheesh. All right. Well, I'm Angela Yee and that is your rumor report. All right. Thank you, Miss Yee.
Starting point is 00:29:35 Front page news. What are we talking about? We are going to be talking about the Powerball, the $198 million Powerball winner. Who got that money? All right. We'll get into that next. Keep it locked.
Starting point is 00:29:46 It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ, MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get into some front page news. What are we talking about, Yee? Well, let's talk about Area 51. Nearly 500,000 people have pledged to ambush Area 51.
Starting point is 00:30:01 They want to see these aliens. And they're saying Storm Area 51, they can't stop all of us. That's the Facebook event that they have everybody signing up on. And when is the date that they're going to do this? It's supposed to be next month sometime. It's supposed to be, well, they said September 20th
Starting point is 00:30:18 from 3 to 6 a.m. Guys, you sound like Donald Trump announcing the ice rage, okay? Why are you giving people time to prepare for you to storm their facility? First of all, there's nothing at Area 51 anymore. Area 51's been around for decades. Do you really think that there's still aliens at Area 51? Now, the military did respond to this Facebook event.
Starting point is 00:30:37 They said Area 51 is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American Armed Forces. The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets. That means try us, you will get shot.
Starting point is 00:30:51 They're going to get hurt, man. All right? I think they're going to hit them with rubber bullets first. No, they're not. The last person that tried to storm Area 51 got shot with real bullets.
Starting point is 00:30:58 All right? Did he? Yes. So if you try to storm Area 51, you will get shot. He was by himself, though. And? But if 5,000 kids and people go and storm it?
Starting point is 00:31:06 Oh, yeah, because they don't have automatic weapons. They're not going to shoot the kids. They don't have planes that can just come down and kill 500,000 people just like that. Knock it off. They'll tear gas them, so they're going to kill them. You think they'll kill them, kids? First of all, I need the kids to be smarter. There's nothing at Area 51 anymore, kids.
Starting point is 00:31:19 They ain't going to kill them, kids, man. And when you announced that you're coming on September 20th, there was something there. You're Donald Trump announcing Ice Ages. Alright, now today is Prime Day. So, I know you're excited about that. It's a 48-hour sale happening on Amazon Prime. I know a lot of other retailers are also trying to do
Starting point is 00:31:36 sales to compete today as well. But if you're trying to buy certain things, you can go to Amazon Prime and get that. Some brands that are on sale, Bowflex is on sale, Dyson, if you need a vacuum cleaner. They have Select Nintendo Switch devices on sale. Oh, you know what I need to get? Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:53 What? I need to get on there. What do you need to get? No, I just have to get something for my laptop. Okay. I'm actually going to do that. I have Amazon Prime, but I don't use it as much as I should, I feel like. All right.
Starting point is 00:32:04 And ICE has hit major cities with the illegal immigrant raid that started happening Sunday in major cities nationwide. They were trying to deport about 2,000 illegal immigrants that have already been ordered out of the country, according to a senior government official. They're saying there's about 1 million people with
Starting point is 00:32:19 removal orders altogether, and those raids took place in New York, Baltimore, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, L.A., Miami, and San Francisco. So in New York, it was pretty quiet because people knew these raids were coming. Yeah. See? Area 51 people.
Starting point is 00:32:35 See how dumb it is when you announce that you're going to do something? Mm-hmm. Yeah, not the best idea. And, of course, we told you guys about this blackout that happened on Saturday. They're still trying to figure out what happened. They're still investigating. They can't explain what caused it. I think they said there was some type of fire.
Starting point is 00:32:51 I don't know what happened. People were really pissed off with Con Edison. I would be, too. But things happen. Like, let's be honest. Like, you expect everything to run perfectly forever? Like, things happen. They fixed it quick.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Like, what's the problem? Nobody got killed. They got people off that were stuck in elevators. It was only out for a couple hours. Things happened. Man, F all that. My Dave Chappelle show got canceled. I was watching J-Lo and that got canceled. Not me personally. I'm just speaking for the people. There's a lot of other things that were going on
Starting point is 00:33:16 this weekend that I was partaking in and this blackout caused me, it disrupted my fun. Alright, and the $198 million Powerball jackpot winner is in Hendersonville, Tennessee. That person matched all six numbers of the $198 million jackpot.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Well, congrats to them. Yeah, so congratulations. Whatever happens to these people? How come we always announce these jackpots? You don't never see them go pick up their winnings? Everybody can't remain anonymous. No, they definitely can't. Some people have, well,
Starting point is 00:33:47 they just announced the winner. They still haven't gone to claim the prize yet. In this era of social media, nobody knows none of these people that's winning. You don't see nobody stunting on the gram. Something ain't right about this, man. We've seen people who won before when they went and claimed their prize. I remember when somebody from New York won. That was a huge story.
Starting point is 00:34:03 When was this? Somebody from Harlem. You don't remember that? When they won the big one? Yeah, they won a big one. I don't remember. Me neither. Well. All right.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Well, that is your front page news. Now, when we come back from loving hip hop Atlanta, Tommy Lee will be joining us. She just got home. You know, she was locked up for allegedly beating up her daughter, 11-year-old daughter, and showing up to court drunk. She's going to clear all that up, and we're going to talk to her when we come back. All right, so don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of, like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
Starting point is 00:34:50 I am the Queen of Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I trade my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Starting point is 00:35:10 Oh my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. Starting point is 00:36:31 As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
Starting point is 00:37:13 I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app,
Starting point is 00:37:28 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building. Yes.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Beloving hip-hop Atlanta, Tommy Lee. What up, y'all? Welcome. Welcome home. Thank you. Tommy Lee, how long were you locked up for? Like four months.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Four months. And you were locked up for what? For people who don't know? For a lot of things. I mean, this is your first time on the show. So let's get into everything. Because you did put, when you got out, that your last experience made you see things a lot differently now. So we want to talk about what that experience was and why you see things differently.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Yeah, so I was arrested on some assault charges and basically it had to do with my daughter. Yeah, and what I mean by that, when I see things a lot differently, it's just like a lot of the people that I thought was going to be around, they wasn't, and stuff like that, and just the seriousness of the point where I am in my life
Starting point is 00:38:23 as far as my platform and stuff like that and how like the seriousness of, you know, the point where I am in my life as far as, you know, my platform and stuff like that and how I should be using it, you know, in ways that I wasn't using it. So, yeah. Well, let's dig into your background a little. I saw a documentary you did about yourself and you talked about growing up and you said that you did, your mom was used to scam and you were kind of a scammer and doing those things. So, and you were always just fly. Right. Growing up and are clearly you can't do just like that even when you got out of
Starting point is 00:38:49 jail you know you did it up so let's talk about your background and your relationship with your mom um basically uh i grew up in north or from jersey or whatever my mom she was a single parent and basically i was the first child and you know um she was young she was young when she had me so basically you know I witnessed a lot of things of her like growing into herself so basically she um I mean I can't fault my mom for any other way you know what I mean I was really brought up because I know like what it is now to be a parent she hustled to make sure you was good yeah she hustled to make sure I was good so Yeah, she hustled to make sure I was good. So basically I can't, you know, fart her for that. And I picked up a lot of her hustle,
Starting point is 00:39:27 you know, like, yeah. That's how things went. And then, oh, go ahead. I was going to say, so you're from originally Newark. How did you get to Atlanta? What made y'all move to Atlanta? Oh, she moved to Atlanta
Starting point is 00:39:37 because she didn't want to see, like, my brothers get killed and stuff like that. Like, basically she was just like, you know, she wanted them to have a different lifestyle. She wanted all of us to. So she wanted to change out the hood she wanted to get a crib with a little grass in the backyard yeah now how did you end up on love and hip-hop we know you were dating scrap so how did that whole situation happen what was that phone call like and what made you decide that was a good move um basically the phone call was just like they you know scrap was rapping and
Starting point is 00:40:01 like that and his mom you know what i'm saying so basically i was just coming on as the girlfriend, and they was just going to film my real experiences. But I didn't know that he was still dealing with his baby mother until, you know, I got to see the show. And all of this shit started unfolding. I don't watch Love of Him, by the way. You talking about Lil Scrappy? No. No. I'm not asking.
Starting point is 00:40:20 He was just locked up. He came home, and there was pictures of you guys kissing and everything, but you said that was just you seeing an old friend because you were going through a lot after he got out. Right. So, like, he never told me that he was seeing nobody. Like, we didn't talk about that. So, basically, when I got out, I was just seeing him after three years.
Starting point is 00:40:38 You get what I'm saying? Like, I jump on my security guard or whatever, like, when I came home from jail. So, basically, it was just that, me showing that affection. I'm a passionate person. you know what I'm saying? I didn't ask him, who you dating before I hug you? Or who you, you know what I'm saying? It wasn't like that, so. So what were you doing in Atlanta?
Starting point is 00:40:52 What were you working doing in Atlanta, if you were working? I was doing some things that I'd rather not. You was getting the bills paid, okay. I'm just asking, I don't know, I'm just asking. Just getting the bills paid. And what made you do Love & Hip Hop? Like what made you say, you know what, I'm going to do this? Basically, I was modeling and all that before Love & Hip Hop.
Starting point is 00:41:10 And it was like, it was an opportunity for me, basically. You know, and it made me get back into the music. Because it's like, you got this platform. I felt like God did it. Basically, I was praying all the time to get, you know, stop doing what I was doing. And that was just an open opportunity. You know, I didn't know it was going to go this far. Did you feel like that's what you had to do,
Starting point is 00:41:29 or it was one of those things that was just so easy? It was just an easy lick? No, I loved the fact of doing it at first. You know what I'm saying? At first, I loved it. I felt like, yeah, it's just natural. They're just going to record my life. They're just going to record the natural me,
Starting point is 00:41:41 but then when things took a turn, basically when my real life started being exposed it was different now would you do love it oh you do a love hip-hop again or is it one of the things like you know you tired of these people in your life they said you couldn't come back to the show but I'm sure they want you back. Right. So, like, I haven't never heard that I couldn't come back to the show. Did you beat somebody up on the show? I heard that people saying that, but I haven't heard that from the show.
Starting point is 00:42:10 That's not our conversation at all. So, yeah. But, you know, due to the charges, things, it's kind of, everything was on hold. Like, I wouldn't want to film going through what I was going through with my daughter. Like, I wouldn't want to film that. You were facing over 50 years. What the hell was she surprised for? Don't come down and look at me, man, because y'all don't want to tell me. Like, I wouldn't want to film that. You were facing over 50 years. What the hell was she surprised for? Don't come up with a movie with me, man, because y'all don't want to tell me. Well, no. So, you went to your
Starting point is 00:42:29 daughter's school, right? And it said, according to the reports, it said you slammed her head into the locker, pulled her hair, and that was some, you know, abuse for your daughter. How old was your daughter? She's 11. She was 11 at the time. And basically, you know, first of all daughter. How old is your daughter? She's 11. She was 11 at the time.
Starting point is 00:42:47 And basically, you know, first of all, my daughter took edibles to school, and she got a charge from that, from, you know, taking edibles to school. She took them to school. All the kids ate them. And basically, they called me like, yo, your daughter, you know,
Starting point is 00:43:00 all the kids was rushed to the hospital. So that was like a real big deal for me. So I was arrested when I was 15 years old, you know, as a runaway. And that's how I became, I started my record is being arrested as a, you know,
Starting point is 00:43:13 runaway. And I, you know, then got probation and didn't get in one fight in school, you know, violated probation. I go to boot camp, I stay back,
Starting point is 00:43:20 you know what I'm saying? So it really hindered my life. So basically, when she caught that charge, I didn't think it was gonna be a charge at first because everybody was okay but then I got a letter in the mail saying that she was being charged so I was stressing to my daughter like how important it is for her to be good in school so we can make this go away you know we got a lawyer everything like that but basically um you know she was feeling herself in school just trying to fit in and stuff like that like she's not a bad. She's been an honor roll student her whole life.
Starting point is 00:43:47 Like, principal honor roll. Like, very outstanding student. So, basically. I'm sure she was, like, famous, too, because you're her mom. My kids not like that. Like, they don't really. Because people had to know, oh, your mom is Tommy. I'm sure they know in the school.
Starting point is 00:44:01 But, like, I'm not Tommy. Like, I am Tommy always. But, like, I'm not Tommy from Love & Hip Hop when I go to the school. You know what I mean? This is not my first time going to my daughter's school. Like, I've been to my daughter's school every year of her school years. You know what I mean? I always introduce myself to the teachers.
Starting point is 00:44:15 I'm active in my daughter's life. Not that she was bragging about it, but the other kids might look at it like, oh, you know her mom? Like, the kids that she go to school, like, a couple of them. You get what I'm saying? Like, all the kids that she go to school with are not, like, it's kind of, like, bir them. You get what I'm saying? Like all the kids that she go to school with are not like, it's kind of like biracial. You know what I'm saying? Like it's different. It's a very mixed, diverse.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Right. So they not really on that. Okay. Now, did your daughter know it was edible or did she just think it was candy? They said like when she went to school, like she was saying that it's laced with weed, but she don't talk like that. So I don't know if they put that on there or whatever. They said that.
Starting point is 00:44:47 I guess you had it in your secret stash and your daughter found it. No, I didn't have it in my secret stash. Actually, I had flew them to Miami for spring break, and they wound up having to stay with a homeboy of mine because I had to work, I had to host him. So they stayed with him for like three days, and they went on boats and all that shit. So basically when I sent them home, because I still had to work, I sent them home with a stewardess.
Starting point is 00:45:08 And she said she found it in the back of the plane seat. Like she got it up out the plane seat. So teacher done called me like three times about her behavior now in school. So that's got me paranoid. Like as a mom, I never want to see my daughter like go through. I don't want to see my daughters go to jail at all. You know, I've been there a million times. But I really don't, like, whoopings are, like, a last resort for me.
Starting point is 00:45:29 When it comes to my kids, I could count on my hand how many times I had to get physical with them. We don't have that type of relationship. Like, I'm open with them about my life, about everything. Like, they see everything. I don't hide nothing. I don't act like a person that I'm not in front of my kids. Now, they put all that extra on there. Slammed their head in the locker.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Yeah, no, I never slammed it. I took her by the hoodie extra on there. Slammed her head in the locker. Yeah, no, I never slammed her. I took her by the hoodie and, you know, jacked her up against the locker, but slammed her head in the locker. Like, I'm not going to treat my daughter like that. All right, we got more with Tommy Lee from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Don't move.
Starting point is 00:45:55 It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. We have Tommy Lee in the building from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
Starting point is 00:46:05 They said you was stalking your daughter. How do you stalk your own kid, man? So let me tell you, I'm a stalking kid. That's my kid. So like the next day
Starting point is 00:46:13 when I bonded out so fast, social media got a hold to the story and basically I was at an event and they called me from the house like the news is out here.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Like several news came in just knocking on the door trying to speak to them and so basically um it was my oldest daughter the day that i went and turned myself in my daughter that's you know the victim they say or whatever too and i take care of my little sister as well she was with her dad like he came and got her immediately i took him to cheesecake factory try to talk to her and that's what she told me the story so then he came and got her from. I took him to Cheesecake Factory, tried to talk to her, and that's when she told me the story. So then he came and got her from there, and basically I went home when they told me that the news was harassing them. So I'm about to pull, like, when they pull back up, like,
Starting point is 00:46:53 get off my f***ing property. You get what I'm saying? There's no parent here. Why y'all trying to talk to my kids? You get it? So when I go back over there, you know, I wasn't in the house for 20 minutes, and then the in the house for 20 minutes. And then the police came back to my door. They just arrested me and said that I was talking to my daughter.
Starting point is 00:47:12 So they said they had a conversation with my daughter at school. And she said that I walked her to school that morning. And I cooked her breakfast. Which is untrue because I was filming. Like, from the time I got out of jail, I was, like, straight in the car. Had it be the set, you know what I mean? At 8 o'clock in the morning, we was filming the paintball scene in the woods. So we had to drive
Starting point is 00:47:30 an hour away. So that's untrue. But like, that's just what I went through. Like, they did that. People out there, listen, you did not bang your daughter's head into it. Not at all. Ever. You yoked your daughter up. Yeah. Does she still go to this school? And you pinned her against the locker. Well, she did finish out the school
Starting point is 00:47:45 You know what I'm saying Her dad Because she liked the school Like she really liked the school But if it was up to me I would have took her out of the school immediately But as you know Like I couldn't have no contact with her
Starting point is 00:47:56 While the case was going on Now you got a DUI that day too? No I didn't get a DUI that day So when I went to court I went out the night before I went to court And basically I came home like Four in the morning And you know they did a um a test a urine test or whatever and of course you know I'm saying I was out I had some drinks while I was out and it showed up like I wouldn't go to court just like sloppy drunk yeah the story was that you showed up to court
Starting point is 00:48:19 drunk right and then I thought you was a wild girl that's not true I was a little late nah man I was late for court so my judge she I was the only person that got drug tested and went to jail that day. But, you know, she tests everybody if you're even five minutes late. Right. So she drug tested me because I was late. And, of course, alcohol was in my system because I went out the night before. Now, were you found guilty or did you plead out for a lesser charge? Well, it got to the point where a lot of things was happening in my home,
Starting point is 00:48:49 and I just really didn't want to fight it anymore. So, yeah, I did plead out because I really needed to get to my children, and I really needed to, you know what I mean? You pled for a lesser charge. Right. And that lesser charge, and then they sentenced you to four months or whatever it was, and you did. Oh, no, I did four months fighting, and then when I just, like, bled out
Starting point is 00:49:07 because my family need me, I'm kind of like the sole provider for, like, not only my children, but my mom's children. My mom's in prison. So, yeah. Now, of course, now what's the relationship with your daughter now? Did they take your daughter away from you? No, no. My daughter's at my house.
Starting point is 00:49:20 My daughter's at my house, yeah. Like, no, they never took her away. They brought, you know, some people in my house the same day. My daughter never had a scratch on her, a bruise, never know nothing on her. The same day, within an hour after we left the school, they sent, like, a DFAX officer to my house, and I let her, like, freely walk around, you know what I'm saying, take a look at whatever you got to look, my pantry, everything.
Starting point is 00:49:43 You want to talk to my daughter, I let her talk to her in private. Like, I have nothing to hide. And now how often do they come to the house to check up on us? They never come to the house. That's done. Like, she didn't have anything to report. So that was it. It was like an open and close that day. Do you regret to clean up? No.
Starting point is 00:50:01 I kinda do. Right. I kinda do. I kinda do cause I wish that I really would have stood up and just, you know what I'm saying, explain my story. But in the county that I was in, the color that I am, like in my record, it hinders me from like fighting the whole fight like that. Because right now you're looked at as the bad guy or bad woman. And, you know, if you say it is what it is and you yoked your child up, like my mom yoked me up, like my grandmother yoked me up. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:27 And let's say you yoked me up against a locker. I mean, I was yoked up against a cabinet before. I might have hit my head or not, but it wasn't their attention. Shit happens. But I was yoked up. But now it affects your money. And you know what? That's just something I got to deal with.
Starting point is 00:50:40 I'm going to have some people who understand that, too. Like, I'm going to face all of that. And I really think that kids need discipline. And I'm like, you know, not physical, but I just think that these children need discipline. And I'm not going to see my daughters go to juvenile. I'm not going to see them go to jail or prison or none of that. I did all of that.
Starting point is 00:50:59 So if I can help them not to make the same mistakes, then that's what I'm here to do. What were some of the things that you were thinking and planning while you were locked up for those four months? Oh, I was planning on getting back out, getting back in the studio, getting my, you know what I'm saying, my life back together. Whether it's a love and hip hop or whether whoever's with me or against me, I was planning on, you know, changing the narrative. Basically, like doing all the things that I started, like I started a nonprofit organization for teens and suicidal teens because that's going on a lot. Like a lot of kids are just depressed.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Like my kids' friends come over my house all the time and I kick it with them. And they got so many insecurities and they don't have nobody to talk to. You get what I'm saying? So and that's part of the reason why I got a whole record is because I was never had nobody to, you know, vent to as a child. And I just wanted to run away. I just want to get out of here. First of all, I was staying in a hotel. Basically, my whole family was staying in one room with a man who did not with us. He just wanted to be with my mother, not her kids. So basically, it was uncomfortable. And just
Starting point is 00:51:58 imagine they sent me to jail for that. But nobody was like, yo, why do you want to run away? Like they never asked me why you wanted to run away right so kids are like overlooked a lot because we busy we work and we we gotta provide you know what i mean so you know what you know you talked about your mom right and you talked about you seeing your mom hustle and seeing all the things that she did and that made you want to do it because that's all you learned do you change that for yourself so because you know your daughter follows you right i mean so the things that you do your daughter follows so do you change that and make sure now that you're out of jail you do things differently so she looks at you a different way yeah but like i can't never change who i am like this is really instilled in
Starting point is 00:52:37 me i'm a wild child like you know what i'm saying like i like no no no no not in that extent like i'm a fun person like you know what i mean? But at the same time, like my daughter's already looking for work. They already trying to start businesses. My daughter want a sunglass line. My other daughter, she wants to be she wants to help. She wants to help with my organization. She's like, Mom, I want to get down with that. You know what I'm saying? So like basically they are already an entrepreneur. They have a mind frame like that. So I feel like that's helping them because what I seen was how to get over was finesse. You know what I'm saying? So basically they already going in the right direction to me. I'm proud already. Now, what about before you went to jail, you were dating Ian Conner. Are you guys still together? I wasn't dating Ian Conner. Ian Conner was my friend and it was kind of like an inside joke how he carry on. Like he just liked that. You know what I'm saying? He's always been a friend of mine. He's still a friend of mine. Congratulations to Ian and Raven on their engagement. He engaged now
Starting point is 00:53:28 and I'm really happy for him. So y'all were never dating? Oh, free Ian, too. He in jail now. Damn it, man. Yeah. Congrats on the engagement. Wait, wait, back up.
Starting point is 00:53:35 So y'all were never dating because everybody thought y'all was... Free Rocky. And it looked like it. It looked like it. Yeah, it did look like you. So you really never
Starting point is 00:53:43 really was dating him? No, he was just a fun weirdo like you really Never really was dating him No he was just A fun weirdo Like the guy That I was dating Goodness gracious No like He a real one
Starting point is 00:53:50 Kissed him Yes Aw man I don't be kissing And all that man You don't kiss Not people That I'm not dating
Starting point is 00:53:58 Oh okay You said I don't be Kissing and all that I'm not People Nah Why would I be Kissing all my friends
Starting point is 00:54:03 So who you dating now No I'm single right now I'm focused right now man and all that. A lot of people, nah, why would I be kissing all my friends? So who you dating now? No, I'm single right now. I'm focused right now, man. Got a date with success. All right,
Starting point is 00:54:11 I ain't mad at you. All right, Tommy Lee from Love and Hip Hop. You got new music coming. You got an EP on Empire on the way. She didn't bang her child's head
Starting point is 00:54:19 into the locker. Please say that again. She didn't punch nobody in the face, her daughter, or nothing like that. That didn't happen. She pleaded out
Starting point is 00:54:24 because she didn't want to fight it. It's probably expensive, and that's what it is. Thank y'all for having me. All positivity. All right, there you go. Tommy Lee! Love and hip-hop Atlanta. It's the Breakfast Club of the Morning.
Starting point is 00:54:36 Everybody, it's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Shalameen, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Let me shout out to Bill Bellamy. I went to see Bill Bellamy Friday night. Was he funny? Bill Bellamy, I went to see Bill Bellamy Friday night. Was he funny? Bill Bellamy, he was hilarious. He killed it. I actually took a couple of listens to me and my wife's podcast.
Starting point is 00:54:52 They were in town from Florida. So we said, let's double date. You know, people that listen, they ride out for us. It was like, let's go out on a double date. So we took him to see Bill Bellamy. Then we took him to a restaurant after and got some food. It was pretty dope. Bill Bellamy killed it, though.
Starting point is 00:55:04 He was on stage for about an hour and 30 minutes, an hour and 40 minutes, destroyed it. Bill is an OG. Yes, he is. He's got a lot of experience and a lot of history, a lot of stories to tell. Even his regular conversation is just funny, so I can imagine.
Starting point is 00:55:15 I hope he writes that book he was talking about, too, by the way. He said he is. He said he got so much feedback after the interview up here. He said he's definitely going to write a book, so he said to thank you guys. I thought you said you were going to come see him or something, right? I be lying to people, man.
Starting point is 00:55:27 You said you were going to go on Saturday. You know how I do. I tell you, I'm showing up all day long. He was like, Charlamagne said he's coming tomorrow. I was like, alright. Now mind you, when I feel like coming, I'm coming. But if I don't feel like coming, I'm not going. Wasn't there a blackout on Saturday, though?
Starting point is 00:55:44 That's the excuse you're going to use? I mean, there was. It was. It wasn't at Caroline's? Oh, you must have went to the early show. That was on Friday. You went Friday. I went Friday.
Starting point is 00:55:50 I went Friday. All right, well, we got rumors on the way. What are we talking about? Yes, let's talk about R. Kelly. We have an update on what's going on with him. He's still in jail. And we'll tell you some things that we need to clarify. Because they were saying two of the young ladies, Jocelyn and Azriel,
Starting point is 00:56:06 had gotten kicked out of his condo. They spoke as well. All right, we'll get into that next. Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. All right, morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee,
Starting point is 00:56:16 Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Happy Monday. What's happening? Yes, and rest in peace to Chaz Williams from Black Hand Entertainment.
Starting point is 00:56:24 He just passed away. He used to manage 50 Cent and Foxy, right, and Graff. to Chaz Williams from Black Hand Entertainment. He just passed away. He used to manage 50 Cent and Foxy, right, and Graff. Back in the day, yeah. He had a management company. He had a dope album back in the day. He used to rob banks in the 70s. I think BET did an American Gangsta on him one time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:39 But definitely rest in peace. Now let's get to these rumors. Let's talk R. Kelly. This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee. On The Breakfast Club. Well, R. Kelly will be held in jail. Now, he's been in jail all weekend. He made a brief appearance in court on Friday,
Starting point is 00:56:59 and they said he has to stay there. He was arrested on Thursday night. He's also facing new federal sex charges and a separate indictment in Chicago and in Brooklyn. So he's already facing state charges in Chicago for alleged sexual abuse and other crimes that all involve underage girls and young women as well. That's over from Kelsey.
Starting point is 00:57:17 Also turned over 20 underage sex tapes. Yeah, that's a wrap. And a lot of that was because of his own inner circle, his enablers, his ex-employees. They gave those videos to the feds of R. Kelly having sex with underage girls, according to the attorney, from multiple
Starting point is 00:57:33 alleged victims. So... He don't got no money to fight these cases. What's gonna happen now? No, he doesn't. Well, here is what R. Kelly's spokesperson Daryl Johnson had to say about the whole situation and whether or not he can be potentially held responsible. How concerned are you that you could possibly face charges?
Starting point is 00:57:51 Enablers are often brought up. I'm not an enabler. First of all, let me explain something to you. I was hired to do a job, non-pay. I work for Mr. Greenberg. I'm not an enabler. I haven't held anybody hostage. I haven't harbored.
Starting point is 00:58:03 I haven't aided, invaded, tried. I haven't held anybody. I haven't held anybody hostage. I haven't harbored. I haven't ate it and been it. That was all Robert. I haven't lied. I haven't held anybody. I haven't held anyone. This is for the record. That's exactly what he's saying. I didn't do anything.
Starting point is 00:58:12 That was all Robert. All right? I'm just working for somebody else. That's his publicist? Who is he? He's a spokesperson. Spokesperson. So I guess like his PR person, spokesperson.
Starting point is 00:58:20 Well, that guy should have told Mr. Greenberg or whoever he just said just now, like, Mr. Greenberg, I can't take this one. Nope. It's out of my hands. It's above me now. Now, there's a lot of other cooperating victims and former enablers out there who are ready to testify against him. So they said they have a very strong case in Brooklyn. So he's facing up to 20 years in prison just on racketeering charges alone.
Starting point is 00:58:42 If R. Kelly commits suicide, I wouldn't be surprised at all. Man, now. I can see that happening. The parents of Joycelyn Savage are saying that they won't feel any kind of relief until they get in touch with her. There were rumors that both Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary have gotten kicked out of R. Kelly's apartment in Chicago that he has inside the Trump Tower,
Starting point is 00:59:03 but they said they are A-OK. We actually just read an article saying that we were evicted from the Trump and saying that, you know, we were under emergency living and all kinds of stuff like that. We just wanted to let you guys know that that is not true. We are here. We are at the Trump. And, you know, Joy's parents Are all over social media Yeah they know where I'm at But they're gonna pop up soon
Starting point is 00:59:28 Cause that money's about to dry up So the prison's about to go That money is dried That money is gone They're still at the Trump They're gonna take That apartment They're gonna take
Starting point is 00:59:35 That apartment Cars Anything that he owns They're gonna take away So they're gonna pop back up I mean it's gonna be interesting To see how this R. Kelly saga Ends officially
Starting point is 00:59:44 You know what I'm saying Cause I feel like the ending is coming near. I don't think he's going to ever do a day in jail because I think that he's going to clock out before then. He's in jail right now, but oh, you think he's going to end up just... I think he's going to commit suicide. That's just, you know, me.
Starting point is 00:59:56 You know what I mean, Steve? Now let's discuss... You want to go to the pool? To the pool? Yeah, I don't even want to put that out there. I don't want to say that. I really don't care what happens to a man and rape young chicks
Starting point is 01:00:07 and peed on them. How am I supposed to care about it? You don't want to get the pools on it? I'm not messing with you. I ain't going that far. I don't want to talk
Starting point is 01:00:13 about killing women. I ain't going that far. All right, now, Jermaine Dupri, we talked about the comments that he made to people last week when he was talking
Starting point is 01:00:21 about female rappers. I feel like they're all rapping about the same thing, and I don't think they're showing us who's the best rapper. It's like strippers rapping. I'm getting like, okay, you got a story about you dancing in a club. You got a story about you
Starting point is 01:00:36 dancing in a club. All right, who's going to be the rapper? At some point, somebody's going to have to break out of that mold and just show us, you know, talk about other things. All right, well, he mold and just show us, you know, talk about other things. All right. Well, he got a lot of calls, DMs, angry tweets and other messages. He said these messages said, I am a major gatekeeper in the hip hop world. Why don't I invest in a female who is out here hustling and making a name for herself? He said, I decided to create this so-so deaf female cypher. Details coming soon.
Starting point is 01:01:01 But that doesn't mean people aren't upset. Now, Ari Lennox took to her Instagram live and did a freestyle going in on Jemaine Dupri. Ben and Dalton promoted atmosphere. Very few rappers were allowed. To me, it seems like you hate it. Seems you don't like how that queen takeover tasted. How men got the summer bacon. But we rose up so fearless. You had the amazing teacher nada. But you slept on her half the way like it was Devil Wears Prada. Ari is way better than that.
Starting point is 01:01:41 Okay. But she's just being, having fun with it. Yeah, that freestyle doesn't sound too great. I can't even understand what she's saying. Like, that's not how you should have replied to Jermaine Dupri.
Starting point is 01:01:48 I think she was just having fun, baby. She was having fun on her Instagram live. Yeah, because she sounds way better than that. Yeah, and Jermaine Dupri is basically saying
Starting point is 01:01:54 female rappers need to step their game up. You shouldn't reply like that. Like, Ari's way doper than that. Well, Ari Lennox, speaking of which, the Revenge of the Dreamers 3 album opened at number one
Starting point is 01:02:04 on the Billboard 200 chart. Of course, you know she's on that. So congratulations to them on that. 115,000 equivalent album units in the United States. All right, I'm Angela Yee, and that is your rumor report. All right, thank you, Missy. Charlemagne. Yes.
Starting point is 01:02:18 Who are you giving that donkey to? You know, I haven't given this guy a donkey today in a long time, but we need our celebrity in chief, Donald J. Trump, to come to the front of the congregation. We'd like to have a word with him. Dust off our old Donald Trump donkey intro, John. All right, we'll get into that next. Keep it locked. This is The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:02:32 Good morning. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
Starting point is 01:02:45 It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition.
Starting point is 01:03:01 Why can't I create my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh my God. What is that? Bullets.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Bullets. We need help! We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey guys, I'm Kate Max.
Starting point is 01:03:35 You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast, Post Run High, is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. You know that rush of endorphins you feel after a great workout? Well, that's when endorphins you feel after a great workout. Well,
Starting point is 01:04:07 that's when the real magic happens. So if you love hearing real inspiring stories from the people, you know, follow and admire, join me every week for post run high. It's where we take the conversation beyond the run and get into the heart of it all. It's lighthearted, pretty crazy and very fun. Listen to post run high on the the heart of it all. It's lighthearted, pretty crazy, and very fun.
Starting point is 01:04:26 Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself, and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments.
Starting point is 01:05:11 Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.
Starting point is 01:05:26 Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States. Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out. He's fired. He's fired. Please step up to the congregation. Yes, you are a dog.
Starting point is 01:05:59 When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. These are jackass. Yes, yes. Donkey of the Day for Monday, July 15th goes to our celebrity in chief, Donald J. Trump.
Starting point is 01:06:15 And the J does indeed stand for jackass. Now, I had to fall back on giving Dope 45 Donkey of the Day because literally, if I wanted to, I could find a reason to give it to him every day. If Florida was an actual human being, that human being would be Donald J. Trump. You know what? I'm sorry, Florida. That was harsh. My apologies. I take that back. That was just cruel and unusual punishment.
Starting point is 01:06:35 I'm just simply trying to say the same way someone from Florida can get donkey of the day every day, so can the celebrity in chief, Donald Trump. Now, yesterday, Trump spewed what CNN is calling his most openly racist rhetoric yet when he took aim at the squad, all right, for a liberal congresswoman who ain't scared. All right, some of the only few, some of the only few Dems on Capitol Hill who don't seem like cowards, okay? AOC, I'm sorry, Alexandra Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar, okay? First of all, I drop on the clues box for those four young women.
Starting point is 01:07:06 I respect their fearlessness. They are disruptors. The old Dems on Capitol Hill don't understand how they get down, but those young ladies are ready for war. And the Bible says old men for counsel, young men for war. In this case, women. What the old Dems like Nancy Pelosi should do instead of chastising these young women, trying to control them, disrespecting them,
Starting point is 01:07:24 what they should be doing is letting them go to war. And the old Dems simply give them counsel because those young ladies are not afraid to say what needs to be said in regards to Trump and his administration. To explain it quite plain, what's going on in Washington is boys in the hood. All right. Trump and his boys smoke Ricky. All right. AOC, Omar Presley and Tlaib are doughboying them down the ride. And Nancy Pelosi and a lot of the other Dems are Tlaib are doughboying them down the ride. And Nancy Pelosi
Starting point is 01:07:45 and a lot of the other Dems are Trey asking doughboy to let them out the car. It's that simple. Now, Donald J. Trump, being the old rich white privileged male he is, cannot stand for any type of color to challenge him. How dare these women of color even speak out against him? I am the almighty white man. Who the F are you?
Starting point is 01:08:01 Now, would you like to hear what his tweet said? Let's go to CNN for the report, please. Presidents attacked the Congresswomen in a series of tweets, writing, quote, so interesting to see progressive Democrat Congresswomen who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe. He added that they should leave to go back to where they came from. But three of the four women he targeted were actually born in the United States and the fourth Ilhan Omar came to the States as a child and became
Starting point is 01:08:30 a US citizen in 2000 now where does go back where you came from drink on the racist insult scale I don't know if you get of what on a scale of one the nigga I don't know if it's high I don't know if it's as high as telling a black person go back to Africa. But when the people you are talking to are a Puerto Rican, a black woman, a Somalian, and an Arab American, it's the same intent and same sentiment, right? Arab. Arab. I'm sorry. I can't pronounce nothing. Y'all know that statement hits different when the ancestors of the people you are talking to really came from somewhere else.
Starting point is 01:09:01 Now, the problem with Trump's statement is he told these four women to go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came. Trump said these women who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt, and inept anywhere in the world, if they are even a functioning government at all. The problem with those statements is that all of these women, with the exception of one, were born in the United States. OK, but Representative Omar has been here since she was a child. So all of these people are Americans.
Starting point is 01:09:30 When you say they come from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, you are absolutely correct. And when you say the governments they come from are the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world, if they are even a functioning government at all, you are correct again, sir. What you did, Donald, was the equivalent of doing your mama sold fat jokes with your brothers and sisters. Like, you can't do your mama sold fat jokes with your siblings because that's your mama you insulting, okay? I applaud you for telling the truth about the current state of the United States government, but you're really spitting the wind with those tweets, sir.
Starting point is 01:10:02 Now, here's the thing. I'm not about to be outraged because Donald Trump said something racist. I'm past that. If that still shocks you, then you haven't been paying attention. All right. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. And the celebrity in chief showed me who he was a long time ago. So calling Donald Trump a racist, that's not a hot take.
Starting point is 01:10:19 That's stating the obvious. Calling him a racist isn't going to keep him out of office in 2020 because the people who voted for him either a don't care that he's a racist because his racism doesn't affect him at all or b they are racist too so calling him racist ain't hurting him at all nobody cares what we need to be calling trump based off what's in the muller report is a criminal all right call out the crimes he has committed what does robert muller say in the muller report if we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so. All right. They've pushed Mueller's testimony back.
Starting point is 01:10:50 But I was looking forward to it because finally, the American public who doesn't read things like the Mueller report are listening to podcasts of people reading back to Mueller reports. Salute to my sister, Angela Rye. She did that available everywhere. You listen to podcasts. But if you have listened to the Mueller report, pro-impeachment Democrats were looking forward to Mueller's testimony because it would finally give Dems the soundbite they need to impeach Trump, even though it's enough in the report to get impeachment proceedings going. But that's the only thing that's going to hurt Trump impeachment. All right. He hates women. His base doesn't care. He's racist.
Starting point is 01:11:22 His base doesn't care. But treason? Because the Mueller report says there were numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump campaign, but not enough evidence to show that Trump and the Russians deliberately conspired. But the Mueller report also says there was even more evidence that the president tried to obstruct official investigations, but Mueller said Justice Department rules prevented him from considering criminal charges. The Mueller report says why this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, but it also does not exonerate him. Not to mention Trump is a businessman with financial interests all across the globe,
Starting point is 01:11:51 which puts him in direct violation of the foreign, what's the name of that clause? Emolument? Emolument clause? Google it. Basically says you can't be president and have all those businesses. All I'm saying is it's more than enough to start an impeachment investigation. Now, we all know impeachment won't happen because the Republicans in the Senate won't allow it, but you have to do it to show people what's right and what's wrong. You have to set a
Starting point is 01:12:14 precedent that this isn't how a president should move or operate. So calling Trump a racist, that's cool. That's what he is, but that's not going to get him out the White House. Call him what he is, a criminal. He has committed crimes. He is a felon in chief. OK, a president felon. Every time you hear him talk, every time you see his tweets, those are thoughts of a president felon.
Starting point is 01:12:32 Word to Tony Yale. Remember Yale's first album, Thoughts of a President Felon? Yeah. Trump is thoughts of a president felon. The moral of the story is we have to start letting the case against Donald Trump play out in the court of public opinion. And whoever leads that charge is going to end up being the leader, our leaders of the Democratic Party. And right now, the ones leading that charge are those four women he told to go back where they came from this weekend.
Starting point is 01:12:56 Please let Kathy Griffin handle my white, I mean, light work. Please give this giant jar of mayo the biggest hee-haw. Hee-haw! Hee-haw! All right, well, thank you for that donkey today. Daniel, if you're listening, come in here, please. Now, earlier today, Tommy Lee from Loving Hip Hop Atlanta,
Starting point is 01:13:13 she stopped at a show. We were talking about discipline and disciplining our children and some of the worst things that we've said to our parents. So I was sitting there, and I was like, wow, the worst thing I ever said to my mom was stop the music. That was it. Kiss my teeth. And my mom made it so I would never do that ever again I've never kissed my teeth again at my mom was one time I said and that was it So Daniel Charlemagne you had walked out. I said, yeah, what's the worst thing you said to your mom? This is Daniel's a Caucasian. He's right. He's right. So I don't like where this is going
Starting point is 01:13:41 What's the worst thing you said to your mother and he's wearing a tribe called quest? I've told her to go F herself. But there's a lot of bad context to that? There's no bad context to that. I would never say that to my mom. There's no bad context to that. If I ever said that to my mom, I wouldn't have no back teeth. Now let me ask the white camera guy. Steve and the white demon.
Starting point is 01:14:00 What's the worst thing you said to your mother? I really don't want to get involved in this conversation. You know it's crazy because he talks crazy in here all day. Why are you looking at me like that? Because I want to know what Steve said to his mother. You know it's something crazy. What's the worst thing you said, Steve? Just one.
Starting point is 01:14:17 She's not listening. Seriously, Steve. Come on. I don't know. Something along those lines. Steve told us he used to fight his mom, but that's what he told us before. Wait, doesn't Steve live with his mom? Didn't you say that, Steve?
Starting point is 01:14:27 He does not live with his mom anymore. Or do you? She's no longer with us. Oh, God. Oh, that's a buzzkill. You do just live with your mom. She's dead, ye. See, y'all play too much.
Starting point is 01:14:42 Did you not hear what he just said? She's no longer with us. That's not true. He definitely was just living with his mom. What does that mean? She's no longer with us. What does that mean that she's no longer with us? I'm thinking she's dead.
Starting point is 01:14:52 You mean she's no longer living with y'all? Yeah, that's... All right. Trust me, Steve. Oh, I do not live with my mom, Yee. Thank you. You know what? Let's open up the phone line.
Starting point is 01:15:02 Let's not mess with him no more. He does live with his mom. I'm. Thank you. You know what? Let's open up the phone line. I ain't messing with him no more. He does live with his mom. 585-1051. What's the craziest thing you said to your mom? I gotta throw mama from the train vibe. 800-585-1051. Jeez. It's the Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:15:18 Good morning. Pull out your phone. Call in right now. Call me. Add your opinion to the Breakfast Club topic. 800-585-1051. The Breakfast Club. It's topic time. Call 800-585-1051 to join in to the discussion with the Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:15:44 Talk about it. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. So if you just join us, we're asking, what's the craziest thing you ever said to your parents, your mom, really? 800-585-1051. Now, the worst I ever did was suck my teeth or kiss my teeth, and that was it. I think my mom ought to smack the ish out of me, and I never did it again.
Starting point is 01:16:05 What about you? You had a, it seemed like you had a fresh mouth. Yeah, but most of the stuff I said was like under my breath where they couldn't hear me. So you have to say stuff, and then they'd be like, what'd you say? Nothing. So you never said nothing to your mom or your pops? Nothing like that, no. Probably more to my dad than to my mom, but my dad would definitely smack me.
Starting point is 01:16:23 If I said, if I rolled my eyes or sucked my teeth, I'd definitely get smacked. What about you, Charlamagne? Absolutely not. Interestingly enough, on summer vacation a couple weeks ago, my older sister and my mom reminded me of the time my father broke his hand because he hit me, which I do not remember.
Starting point is 01:16:40 The reason he hit me is because I had gotten to the point where I was immune to beatings. Okay. And my mom was trying to beat me, and in had gotten to the point where I was immune to beatings. Okay. And my mom was trying to beat me. And in the process of the beating, I think I pushed her off me or something. And my sister said, my father told me, you put your hands on my wife or pushed my wife. The moral of the story is I don't remember any of that.
Starting point is 01:16:56 Okay. And my father broke his hand. So I'm telling you that to say, I don't talk to my parents crazy. Okay. Never have, never will. And that is one of the reasons i never have and never will no that's not no what part of your body is so hard that broke your pops head i have no idea i don't remember this this is what i'm trying to tell you okay okay i don't remember this at all okay q what's up hey q good morning oh no good morning Good morning Good morning
Starting point is 01:17:25 That's good Hey Angela Hey boo What's the worst thing You ever said to your mom? I called her I was on reduced lunch In the ninth grade
Starting point is 01:17:33 And she wasn't giving me Forty cents for my lunch So I called her A fat cheap HO But You gonna spell ho I kind of Yeah
Starting point is 01:17:43 You called your mother A fat cheap hoe? Wow. Yeah, because she weighed to be 46. And for luck, do you know how hard it is to come up with 46 when you're 13 or something? You still trying to justify this today? You crazy. You do know, calling your...
Starting point is 01:17:56 She told me I should have been swallowed. She told me all my life I should have been swallowed. So I think that's a good thing. Wow. Well, clearly she was swallowing, you know, too much of the wrong thing if she's a fat hoe. Exactly. He's talking about your mother.
Starting point is 01:18:09 Oh, my God. You don't love your mother, man. You don't love that woman, man. You definitely don't love that woman. Hello, who's this? This is Byron from Las Vegas, boss.
Starting point is 01:18:17 What's up, man? What's the worst thing you called your mother, man, or you said to your mother? Man, the worst thing that I said to my mama when we were from the South, but we're in Vegas right now.
Starting point is 01:18:26 She was cooking some chitlins, man, and I hate the smell of chitlins. Me too. And she said something to me, and I said, man, that's bullshit. And she was like, she came up behind me, and she said, son,
Starting point is 01:18:36 and just gave me a whole two-piece. Boom, boom. Out of the can. Oh, my goodness. All right, thank you, boss. You deserved it. You definitely deserved it. Sound like you earned it to me.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Nah, I ain't deserve that, Charlie, man. I didn't deserve that, but that's my mom's and all because in front of mom's. And I was disrespectful, but at the same time, that even came out my mouth, man. Yeah, I don't curse in front of my mom and now. I do. Not me. I don't either. I don't even curse in front of my mom's at all because I know mom's.
Starting point is 01:19:01 She got some quick hands, man. She's on point. Like Stacey Adams, man. And it slipped out, man. And I hate the smell of chitlins. She gave her brother a whole two-piece, man, and it didn't feel good. And I hate it. I hate it when my mom cooks chitlins. They cook chitlins every New Year's Eve
Starting point is 01:19:15 and the house just smells disgusting. Ah! My mom didn't curse my whole life growing up and now she does. So now I feel like it's okay to curse in front of my mom because she curses also. Ebony! Hey. What's the worst thing you said to your mom? The craziest thing you said to your mom?
Starting point is 01:19:32 Yeah, so when I was about eight, I called my mom, you know, the B word. You called your mom a bitch? Yeah, and I'm a black woman, so I pretty much got beat to sleep. Yeah, I was about to ask you, what age did you wake up? Exactly. Yeah, so that was
Starting point is 01:19:48 kind of bold. I didn't do it again, though. Yeah, you think? That was it. My lessons. Thank you. 800-585-1051. We're asking, what's the craziest thing you ever said to your parents? Your mom, really. Call us up right now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:20:03 It's topic time. Call 800-585-1051 to join in to the discussion with The Breakfast Club. Let's talk about it. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We're just asking. We were talking behind the scenes.
Starting point is 01:20:23 Some of the worst things you ever said to your mom. Myself, I probably just kissed my teeth, that was it, and I got my ass whooped for that. Other than that, I ain't seen nothing crazy to my mother.
Starting point is 01:20:33 You know what I used to do when I get mad? What? Because I used to write a lot, I would write a story about how mad I was and make a story with my parents
Starting point is 01:20:39 with the villains. You would write it down? No, I would just make up a fictional story about my parents. I never felt like my parents were villains only because I knew that I was doing wrong. You know write it down? No, I would just make up a fictional story about my parents. I never felt like my parents were villains only because I knew that I was doing wrong. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:20:49 Now, mind you, I don't beat my kids, you know what I'm saying? Only because I feel like a lot of the times when we got beat when we were children, it was cruel and unusual punishment and I think a lot of that had to do with the hurt and the trauma that our fathers may have had that they were redistributing to us.
Starting point is 01:21:07 But I never talked to my parents crazy because I didn't want to face the consequences of those harsh-ass beatings. Well, my brother used to get me in trouble all the time. Every time he did something, we both got beat. And in backhand, yo, it seemed like my mother was Mrs. Incredible. What you mean? Like, I could be in the backseat and say something wild, and just that hand would come scratching.
Starting point is 01:21:24 Pow! Backhand. I could be on an aisle of a grocery store. Remember how you talked about you talking under her breath? I could be on an aisle of a grocery store, say something under my breath to my mom and that hand would just come from a whole other aisle. Wow! So I never talk back crazy. I learned early. I don't talk
Starting point is 01:21:40 to my parents crazy. I never even talk under my breath. When I got in my room by myself, I said wow-ish though. I ain't gonna front. When I was by myself, I called a whole bunch of names. Yep, and then you wonder how they all the way down the hall in another room, what you say?
Starting point is 01:21:50 What you say? What you say? I heard you. And you'd be like, nothing. Kayla. What up? Now, you called your mom a bum-ass bitch.
Starting point is 01:21:57 Lord, how come? Oh, no. See, the thing is, the thing is, the thing is, I was scared of my mom my whole life. She made, I got pregnant at 15.
Starting point is 01:22:07 She forced me to give my baby up for adoption. Then she kicked me out a week later. Wow, that's tough. So when I turned 30, I wasn't scared of her no more. So I walked in there, I was like, oh, you're a bum-ass. Oh, you a sucker. You did it when you was 30, when you was big enough. Yeah, when I was big enough.
Starting point is 01:22:25 Hey, I'm going to tell you something. I've never thought about this. Son of a bitch is like some harsh stuff to say, but if you say son of a bum-ass bitch, you son of a bum-ass bitch. Thank you, mama. Wow, Sean. Hey, peace and blessings, y'all.
Starting point is 01:22:41 How y'all feeling today? Hey, what's up, Sean? Now, what's the craziest thing you said to your mom? Yo, Envy, since you know that I'm Jamaican, right? So, craziest thing I ever said to my mom at like 10 years old is like, shut up. You know what I mean? Man, she whooped my butt hard, bro. It was crazy.
Starting point is 01:22:58 Bless us. Did Jamaicans tell their mothers to s**t their mothers? Well, you can't say go s**t your mother. No, you can't do that. That means you're telling your mom to go down on her mom. Yeah, you can't say go s**t your mother. No, you can't do that. That means you're telling your mom to go down on her mom. Yeah, on your grandma. That's what I'm saying. So did you make the devil say s**t your mother to your mom? That wouldn't work, right? You want to die?
Starting point is 01:23:14 No, that's not going to happen. You will literally die if you ever tell your mom that. S**t your mother. I got a beef to pick with you next time, okay? I don't eat beef, sir. No, I got a beef to pick with you. So, you know what I mean? We got some issues. Alright, I'm going to make sure I don't answer the phone. Thank you for the warning. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 01:23:30 Hey, this is Key. Hey, Key. What's the craziest thing you said to your mom? Alright, so the craziest thing I ever did or said to my mom was pretty much I was going to call a cop. I forgot what I did or something. I was going to get a whooping and I told her that and she was like, do it. And I was like, what?
Starting point is 01:23:46 And she was like, do it. So I remember I got multiple beatings that day. One for lying. One for saying I was going to call the cops. That's right. One for the thing I did. And yeah. You should have called the cops.
Starting point is 01:23:56 You want to call the white man on me? Let me show you something. But you know what? You can't do that nowadays. Like, if I told my mom I'm going to call the cops, oh, man, she would have whooped my ass for saying I was going to call the cops. Nowadays, if my kid said he's going to call the cops and I whoop him for that, I'm getting arrested. Definitely.
Starting point is 01:24:12 Hands down. Absolutely. Your kid should call the cops. I'm just curious, to our white producer, Daniel, when you told your mom to go F yourself, what did she do? She got in my face. Did she put you on timeout? I don't remember if she slapped me. No, I was older.
Starting point is 01:24:23 I was in high school. Whoa, in high school you said that. Yeah, we had a really rough two years. Sounds like your fault. You know what your mother should have did when you told her, go F yourself? She should have went in her room, got her vibrator, and came right back in front of you and started F'ing her. That would have learned you. I would have learned you.
Starting point is 01:24:41 Mom! Mom! What are you doing? Mom! Dan, you know you can't curse. All right. What's the moral of the story? Don't tell me to go after myself.
Starting point is 01:24:51 I don't know. Yee, we got rumors on the way. Yes, let's talk about James Bond. You know they're about to do the movie, and there is definitely a plot twist as to who will be playing James Bond. Will it be a black person? Looks like it will.
Starting point is 01:25:04 A Puerto Rican? A black or Puerto Rican? Listen. Listen to the rumors and you'll hear. All Bond. Will it be a black person? Looks like it will. A Puerto Rican? A black or Puerto Rican? Listen. Listen to the rumors and you'll hear. All right. Keep it locked. Rumors on the way. It's The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 01:25:09 Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Hi, this is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Girl. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get to these rumors. Let's talk. Cardi B.
Starting point is 01:25:21 It's about time. We're going home. Rumor report. Rumor report's going on? Rumor Report. Rumor Report. This is the Rumor Report. Talk to them. With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. Well, Cardi B was clearly upset by some things that were said about her.
Starting point is 01:25:36 And that was by lawyer Joseph Takapina. We've had him up here before. He was Meek's lawyer as well. Now, he's representing the alleged victims in the case of Cardi B. And he went and did an article where he is critiquing her fashion choices during her court appearances in Queens Supreme Court. He said Cardi treats her trips to the courthouse like a runway show. And here's how Cardi B responded on her social media. Where am I supposed to get my suits from, bro?
Starting point is 01:26:04 H&M? Why are you worried about the way I dress? That's just going to show you that y'all do this shit for press. And it's so crazy. CMZ be knowing what the judge is going to say three days before I even go to court. Because you be going to the press. You be using my name for press. You are a lawyer.
Starting point is 01:26:21 They're representing artists. They're standing up for prison reform. Something that I have donated money to. And you motherf***ing worrying about what a woman is putting on her body when she go to f***ing court. All I want to know is why did H&M catch a shot, Cardi? She's not wearing H&M. I'm just saying what's wrong with H&M. H&M has never hurt nobody.
Starting point is 01:26:41 You could probably find a nice suit at H&M. Of course you can. But I guess his point was that she's wearing designer brands. So what? How is she supposed to dress? She's a freaking multimillionaire. You saw her. But why does that matter?
Starting point is 01:26:51 I mean, I think she looks presentable going to court. What does it matter? I mean, yes. What does it matter? She said I dress like a young lady is supposed to dress. There's nothing wrong with the way she's dressed. She dresses her wage. Right?
Starting point is 01:27:03 That's how she dresses. She dresses her wage. All right. You know, nothing wrong with looking nice, knowing that you have to make an appearance. And you do know there's going to be a million cameras outside as well. I understand Cardi's point. I would have just said thank you, though.
Starting point is 01:27:14 All right. Now, they also had Culture's first birthday party, and they said it was $400,000. And that party was in New York City. So happy first birthday to Culture. It was a blackout, too. I heard they had a, right in the middle of it,
Starting point is 01:27:26 it blacked out. Crazy timing. Yeah, crazy timing. All right, Young Thug. He feels that Little Nas X should not have revealed that he's gay. He recently did an interview with No Jumper and here's what he said. He probably shouldn't have told the world.
Starting point is 01:27:38 These days, it's just all judgment. It ain't even about the music no more. Once you found out he was gay, everybody, soon as the song come on now, everybody like, yeah, he was a catalyst to the song. I think it's like that. He's got a point. I get what he's saying.
Starting point is 01:27:53 I mean, I think that, you know, everybody should be free to be who they are, but he's definitely got a point. When you hear that song now, a lot of people do just automatically say, oh, he's gay, and they don't even want to hear the record. They don't even hear the record the same no more.
Starting point is 01:28:04 I mean, people still like that. They still got more remixes coming out and everything. Salute to that tweet that I saw yesterday when that dude said, that dude said, yo, Lil Nas X invited me backstage. Where the hoes at? And then somebody retweeted him and said, you the hoes. Drop one of Clues Bond for Lil Nas X having a hot boy summer.
Starting point is 01:28:21 All right. All right. Now let's talk about Agent 007, James Bond. Apparently, Lashana Lynch, she's a black woman, is going to take on that 007 James Bond title. Now, what's going to happen
Starting point is 01:28:35 is Daniel Craig is still going to be James Bond, but she's going to inherit his old code name in the movie and keep it. So moving forward, looks like she could be the new 007. So congratulations to Lashana Lynch set. So is she going to be James?
Starting point is 01:28:51 I'm confused. Is she going to be James Bond? She's going to be James James Bond. So it starts off with him as 007. Okay. Right? And then she gets the code name 007. So I guess moving forward, Lashana Lynch will be 007.
Starting point is 01:29:06 That's dope. Yeah, but you still got to be, you got to have that, you know, I'm Bond. Who are you? Bond. James Bond. You know what I'm saying? Well, she can do Bond. James Bond.
Starting point is 01:29:14 Not if her name's not Bond. We'll see. I guess you got to watch the movie. Her name ain't Bond. It got to be Bond. It got to be some type of Bond. Because it got to be Bond. Is she going to be like a daughter?
Starting point is 01:29:23 James Bond. Adopted daughter? I don't know. What's your name? What is it? Jackson. Listen, we don't know all the details yet. Is your sister adopt a little black baby and die?
Starting point is 01:29:34 Well, she's planning an agent named Nomi. So the name is going to be just Nomi. Just Nomi. Just Nomi? Nomi. Just Nomi. This is going to be confusing. Y'all going to pull a muscle.
Starting point is 01:29:44 What's your name? Nomi. Just Nomi. Just Nomi. Y'all going to pull a muscle. What's your name? Know me. Just know me. Just know me. Y'all going to pull a muscle reaching for all this diversity. I'm serious. If there's a role for her in the James Bond film, cool. But James Bond should be a guy.
Starting point is 01:29:56 Why? Why can't it be a woman? Her name just could be Bond. It could be James Bond. Know me. Just know me. How are you going to do this, though? James Bond.
Starting point is 01:30:04 Listen, let's be for real. You can't just make a black woman James Bond. How? How are you going to do this, though? Jane. Jane Bond. Listen, let's be for real. You can't just make a black woman Jane Bond. How? How are we going to get to this? How? She's 007. Jane Bond.
Starting point is 01:30:13 How are we going to get to this? He's got to retire at some point. You have to write this out in the writer's room. How? He had a side chick. The side chick was a black woman. They had a daughter. That is your Jane Bond. I like him having a sister who adopted a young black girl from another country.
Starting point is 01:30:25 Sister dies or gets killed. Now the daughter wants to have revenge against the people who killed her. So she gets with her spy ass uncle and learns how to be a spy. So now you want him to have the slave name, right? You just want him to take the name Bond. She can't have a name where she was adopted from in Africa? I mean, if it's from Africa, then it would be Bond. You guys, that's enough.

I'm just telling you all that to say today is a good day just to tell you to do your best. All right? That's one of my favorite things to do in the world. One of the four agreements, always do your best. Your best is going to change from moment to moment. It will be different when you are tired as opposed to well-rested.
