Listen to Gracias Come Again on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. or wherever you get your podcasts. most dangerous morning show. DJ Envy. Captain of this bitch. Angela Yee. I stay in everybody's business, but in a good way. Charlamagne Tha God. The ruler of rubbing you the wrong way. The Breakfast Club. Made for everybody. Good morning, USA. Yes, I was already accused somebody of stealing. You sure did. Because one thing about this room right here, they have been lying to us for the past seven years
Starting point is 00:04:27 and telling us that they're going to put a lock on the door, but they haven't. Actually, they have put a lock on the door. It just doesn't work. It's not on. So people always come in the Breakfast Club studio and steal things. And this morning, I couldn't find my slippers. I wear slippers every morning.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Flip-flops, slides. Okay? And I thought somebody stole them, but actually somebody borrowed them to go to the bathroom. Right. Charisma. Yes, yes, she did. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:47 We cool, but I don't know why she think we that cool to just be putting her feet in my slippers. And go to the bathroom. And go to the bathroom. That means she had to, well. Jesus Christ, man. I know, a little bit of urine just kind of dripped on them. Black people. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Gotta love us, right? Well, look, I got some clothes from La La's clothing line. Okay. Did you buy them? Well, no, I guess they delivered from Lala's clothing line. Okay. Apparently, they were... Did you buy them? Well, no, I guess they delivered it up here. I just walked in. It was here. I got a little hoodie dress.
Starting point is 00:05:10 It's really cute. And some jeans. So, shout out to Lala. She has her new line in Lord & Taylor. Okay. And yesterday, I did a Kicked Off Wealth Wednesdays at the Juice Bar in Brooklyn at Juices for Life. It's a free... I guess you would call it like a seminar where we have some financial experts come in
Starting point is 00:05:25 and just teach people about finances, maybe things they didn't know. I always wish I would have learned certain things earlier in life. Do you teach them how to make money? Yeah, that's the whole point, how to save money, how to invest your money if you've never done it before, how to talk to your kids about money
Starting point is 00:05:38 because it's not just all about having money and saving it, but about your attitude toward money and teaching kids early on how they can develop really great habits. And all about learning how to make it, but about your attitude toward money and teaching kids early on how they can develop really great habits. And all about learning how to make it too. You gotta make it in order to save and invest, you have to make it first. Absolutely. Well, and some people think that I have
Starting point is 00:05:54 to have lots of money to be able to invest and that's just simply not true. No, that's not true. So just certain things that you can do to get started if you've never done it before. Great time. So thanks to Stacey Tisdale and to Laura Balin, who started Kid Fund. And we also had, oh my gosh,
Starting point is 00:06:10 oh, Tony Bragg from State Farm. Okay. All right. Well, today is, I'm excited about today. I'm releasing my video for my single today. Oh, I've seen that. 9 a.m. You could find it on the Breakfast Club YouTube page.
Starting point is 00:06:23 That's the video where somebody came to your house and stole something? Yeah, somebody stole my belt. I never found out who stole my belt. Somebody stole a Hermes belt. Y'all so rich. Hermes, but yeah, somebody stole my belt. I can't pronounce things I can't afford.
Starting point is 00:06:34 H is silent, so it's Hermes. Herms. No, it's not Herms. Nice little Herms belt. Swap out that M for a P. Yeah, the video releases this morning again at 9 a.m. Eastern Time. You can find it on the Breakfast Club YouTube page or Worldstar, either or. They were both linked to the Breakfast Club YouTube page.
Starting point is 00:06:51 You can see the full video. I'm excited about it. And you talk about investing. And, you know, this single, if people don't know, is my investment for myself, for my career, for my brand, for everything. And it's already paid off, you know, from the amount of shows, crossover. I've been, you know, in Vegas the last four weeks. The amount of everything that's going on. The amount of singles that was purchased, the amount of downloads and streams.
Starting point is 00:07:11 And this is another investment. So you're a SoundCloud rapper now? He's not rapping on it. I'm not a rapper. Don't put a two-bombs for Envy being a SoundCloud rapper. I'm not a rapper. Wow. But the video, 90% of the video is everything that I own, which is dope.
Starting point is 00:07:25 You don't usually see that. Usually people rent cars, they rent cribs, they rent all types of stuff. 90% of that video is everything that I own. Except for that belt, because that belt didn't make it. Y'all making so much money. Yeah, I used to own that belt, but I don't own that belt no more. Congratulations to you guys. So I'm excited to show you guys the video.
Starting point is 00:07:41 It's a lot of fun, and we'll see it at 9 a.m. Eastern time on the Breakfast Club page. And we did it on the Breakfast Club page because, again, since it's on our page, it comes back to us. Man, we don't make no money off that page. Stop lying to the people. We ain't never going to check off that page. I guess it does. That's another meeting we need to have. Stop lying to the people. We will one day.
Starting point is 00:07:57 All right, I'm not even going to sit here and give iHeart that love. No, they lying. That's a lie. No, but we will one day, right? Maybe. No, don't pay. Once I audit them. All right. One day. Hopefully, we's a lie. No, but we will one day, right? Maybe. No, don't pay. Once I audit them.
Starting point is 00:08:05 All right. One day. Hopefully. We will. Maybe. Now you done touched the sore spot in my life. I was fine this morning. Look at you. Look at you.
Starting point is 00:08:13 I was perfectly fine this morning. Tell them why you mad, Solomon. I was perfectly fine this morning until you touched that sore spot. All right. Now, we got front page news coming up when we talking about you. Yes, we'll tell you about a millionaire who opened up their home to 70 foster kids displaced by Hurricane Irma. All right, now we got front page news coming up when we're talking about you. Yes, we'll tell you about a millionaire who opened up their home to 70 foster kids displaced by Hurricane Irma. All right, we'll get into all that when we come back. Keep it lockers, French Montana.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Unforgettable! Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God, We Are The Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news. Now, in Thursday night football, the Texans play Cincinnati Bengals at 8 p.m. Now, what do you want to talk about first? You want to start with this nursing home incident? Yeah, we can talk about authorities looking for answers in Florida.
Starting point is 00:08:55 A nursing home, they're trying to figure out how people that were staying in this nursing home died. Eight residents died at the rehab center at Hollywood Hills after Hurricane Irma knocked out power in the area. Now, one person said he was trying to call the Hollywood Hills home, but could not reach anybody on the phone. He said that wasn't unusual because communicating with the staff had always been like pulling teeth. He didn't know that his
Starting point is 00:09:18 mother had actually passed away. The center did lose power sometime after the storm and was without air conditioning for about three days. Wow. So they're still investigating the cause of death of those eight people. They have not yet determined that. All right.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Now let's talk about some good news. Somebody that opened up his mansion for some kids. Mark Bell, who is a former executive from Penthouse magazine, was also on the board of the SOS Children's Village, said that what happened was there was Hurricane Irma. Seventy Farsa kids were displaced. They had nowhere to go. So what did he do? He opened up his $30 million, 27,000 square foot home and took the kids to his home. He said the kids were hungry and tired.
Starting point is 00:09:57 They lived in the gym for a week. They hadn't showered for a week. So they were just really excited to be able to go there. He said he and his wife had been trying to keep the kids occupied. They had manicures for the little girls. They have Bobby the Balloon Guy coming. They had a guy singing the guitar,
Starting point is 00:10:10 playing on the guitar and singing songs with them and all of that. So now he is raising money to get the kids back home. He said we need bodies to help the kids. We also need money
Starting point is 00:10:19 to get their homes habitable again. So they are trying to do their part right now. He has a GoFundMe page so you can help the kids. I mean, that's what life is all about, right? That's what humanity is. Like, you know, when you have a little bit more
Starting point is 00:10:30 than the next person and what you have can help the next person who has less than you, you should open up your heart and help that person. That's what humanity is all about. Absolutely. And don't forget, this Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., if you live in the tri-state area, in or around New York, New Jersey, or you can get here, we have an 18-wheeler.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Empty. And we're going to fill that bitch, well, we're going to fill it up with everything. Why do 18-wheeler got to be a bitch? Yeah, why did Jesus Christ? We're going to fill that bitch up with everything. Why? What the 18-wheeler did to you? Clothes, pampers, female products, toys.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Well, you're not going to say bitch products since you're going to call it 18 Wheeler, bitch. What's wrong with you? We're going to fill that 18 Wheeler up with everything possible, and it all goes to hurricane relief. So, again, this Sunday in Teaneck, New Jersey. We'll give you more information later. The address, you can check out Instagram. But we're going to fill it up with everything possible. We just want to help people.
Starting point is 00:11:22 I know a lot of you say, well, how can I help? This is a good way to help because this goes directly to the people. Yes, and it goes back to what I just said. When you have something that the next person doesn't have, when you have a little bit more than the next person, give it. You know what I mean? Like, it's people in Houston right now that don't even have water to drink. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:11:41 So imagine you bring 10 cases of water to ship to Houston. Right. That helps a lot. And a lot of people have questions about how to get items to Houston because they don't know if FedEx, UPS is delivering, the mail system. So this way at least you know it's going to get there on the tractor trailer. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Alright, well that's front page news. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you're upset, you need to vent, hit us up right now. Or maybe you feel blessed, you want to spread some positivity. 800-585-1051. Get it off your vent, hit us up right now. Or maybe you feel blessed, you want to spread some positivity. 800-585-1051. Get it off your chest. Call us up right now.
Starting point is 00:12:10 It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Wake up, wake up. Wake your ass up. This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're mad or blessed, we want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 00:12:27 Yo, yo, DJ Envy, what's up, man? This guy's from Brooklyn, man. What's up, bro? Get it off your chest, bro. Are they guys? How can you be a bunch of dudes, plural? Nah, Charlamagne, it's a guy, like the group guy. Oh, you talking about one of the greatest groups of all time
Starting point is 00:12:39 and how everybody goes to bow down and pay homage to Teddy Riley and Aaron Hall? Yeah, that's a bad person. That's a bad person. You know me, that was my daddy name, man. He passed it to me, man, you know what I'm saying? So I just embrace it. It's different. I'm not mad at you for that.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Okay, guy. Well, get it off your chest, guy. Oh, yeah, yeah. Good morning, Angela. Hey, guy. Yeah, nah, I mean, I ain't mad this morning. I'm blessed, man. I'm just blessed.
Starting point is 00:13:02 I'm blessed. I'm real blessed. I'm just blessed. You know what I'm saying? I'm just blessed. You know what I'm saying? I'm a young man from Brooklyn, you know, in my early 30s, African-American. You know what I'm saying? I just hit the, you know, six-figure, you know what I'm saying, pinnacle in my life. God bless you.
Starting point is 00:13:15 How did you do that, sir? By legal means? Oh, of course. Of course by legal means. Of course, man. Of course, man. You know what I'm saying? I mean, you know, I got my little, you know, nine-to-five hustling, you know what I'm saying, for the city, but, I got my little, you know, nine to five hustling, you know what I'm saying,
Starting point is 00:13:25 for the city, but I also got my little, you know, business thing, you feel me, about to take off, and I'm just blessed about that, you know what I'm saying? What's your business? You're not going to shout your business out? What's your business? What's your business? I mean, it's like coming off the, it's like a little idea I got, y'all, I mean, you feel me?
Starting point is 00:13:42 I don't want to, you know what I'm saying, blast it out right now. Okay, so it hasn't taken off yet, but you're in your new business. Yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly. Okay. But until then, you know, I got a nice little, you know, 9 to 5 gig that I'm loving right now. All right, and then you're going to follow your passion and get that money. Oh, so you make six figures at your 9 to 5.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying? So I'm, you know, that's going well right now. And, yo, Charlamagne, from where I'm from, you know what I'm saying, I'm from Brooklyn, like, you know, Flatbush, you feel me? And a lot of dudes I grew up with, you know what I'm saying, they either, you know, they, you know, unfortunately. Well, I'm from Flatbush in Brooklyn, too.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Oh, you're from Flatbush. I know, Angelina, you're from 23rd and Cortel. That's right. I, you know, I used to, you know what I'm saying, deal with a young lady who lives right down the block from you. How young, sir? Huh? How young? No, I, I, you know, I used to, you know what I'm saying, deal with a young lady who lives right down the block from you. How young, sir? Huh? How young?
Starting point is 00:14:28 No, I said young lady. No, this is back in the day, y'all. I mean, like, me and the girl was around the same age. All right, sir. Have a blessed day, man. Thank you for calling, bro. Hello, who's this? This is Fruit from Cincinnati.
Starting point is 00:14:39 What's up, mama? Get it off your chest. Man, I'm mad as hell. I can't, I can't honestly say that that's my guy, but I want him to be my man. But he has a baby that's like almost a year old next month, and he just keeps going back home to his baby mama. But spend any other night with me, any night and every night with me, but then there's certain nights where I just don't have him,
Starting point is 00:14:58 and it's kind of pissing me off. So I'm out here driving, and with the dunk, it's at 6.30 in the morning. Well, that's because you're letting him do that. You were a side chick, basically. Basically. I mean, not really, because, you know, it's like he came home from the joint, met up with You know that he's sleeping with his baby mom and you're letting him do that. You're letting him come home.
Starting point is 00:15:15 How do you feel you're not a side chick, ma'am? Because this is something that we've been going through for years type of thing. So you've been a side chick for years. How many more years are you going to deal with this? He don't belong to nobody, though. How you mean he don't belong to nobody? You just said he got a baby mama and you said you want to be...
Starting point is 00:15:28 He's not in a relationship with nobody, but at the same time, when he came home from the joint, he just ended up hooking up with her and they ended up having a baby. That's what you think, huh? That's what he told you? Let her live, man.
Starting point is 00:15:38 He wasn't calling her when he was in jail and right now he's in jail. It might be time for you to get your own man. All right. Well, get it off your chest. She's special. Except pressing 5.
Starting point is 00:15:49 If you're upset, you need to vent, call us now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed. We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. So you better have the same energy. Hello, who's this? Hello. Hey, get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:16:12 Hey, how you doing, man? My name's J.Ski. I'm calling from Columbia, South Carolina, man. I'd like to shout out. 803. I shout out the whole Breakfast Club. Charlamagne, I'm one of your biggest fans, man. I grew up in Santee, South Carolina, so you know we from the same neck of the woods. Hey, salute to Santee.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Salute to my dude DJ Cleve out there in Santee. You know he wear Santee heavy. And that's my first cousin, man. There you go. What I call to talk about is, man, I appreciate Mike Bell doing what he did, you know, as far as humanity. Showing people that there's still love in the U.S. Because I think we kind of fell off where we're so caught up into everything is about a dollar. I'm not saying it ain't about a dollar
Starting point is 00:16:48 no more because I got to eat just like everybody else got to eat, but where's the love? I mean, I remember when I was a kid, they used to do the Coca-Cola festival, a free festival for everybody to just come out, love each other, spend time with each other, and enjoy life. But now it's just like
Starting point is 00:17:04 if you ain't shooting, killing, or robbing me, it's like, shoot, you don't matter. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, love is the only thing that's going to change everything in this world, my brother. Like, if we all had genuine love for each other, like everybody, black, white, gay, straight, you know, male, female, if everybody had genuine love for each other,
Starting point is 00:17:19 the world would be a different place. Absolutely. You're right. Charlamagne, I don't know if you remember, man, you remember when the big DM used to do these big open parties and everybody used to just come out and it was just free.
Starting point is 00:17:32 But now it's like, man, you do a concert now. It's like, man, I need 25 stacks off the top. Listen, man. I'm cooking up something right now. I got something coming next year in the Metro in Columbia, South Carolina. Because I got a date on there. I got a date on there every April the 8th is Charlamagne the God metro in Columbia, South Carolina. Because, you know, I got a date on there. I got a date on there.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Every April the 8th is Charlemagne the God day in Columbia, South Carolina. So, salute to Hot 1039 in Columbia, South Carolina. I'm putting together something nice. You still owe the people the fish fry. Well, that's happening, too. Okay. You know, I'm just waiting. Actually, this is what I want.
Starting point is 00:17:58 I want Dylann Roof. I want to do it even when he gets executed or when he's, like, gets. I don't even know if he's gotten sentenced to death yet. I'm not sure, but I don't know. I'm just trying to, trying to plan it around Dylann Roof's death.
Starting point is 00:18:10 All right. There you have it. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. We got rumors on the way, Yee? Yes, let's talk about J-Lo.
Starting point is 00:18:18 She said she is finally in a good relationship for the first time ever. And speaking of relationships, what was happening with Nas and Nicki Minaj? We'll give you some updates. All right, we'll get into all that when we come back.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. I'm Nick Manning. Number two song in the country, Cardi B, Bodak Yellow. Yep, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:18:40 I need Cardi B to go to number one. When Cardi B goes to number one, we gonna dance. You know, if Cardi B hits number to number one. When Cardi B goes to number one, we're going to dance. You know if Cardi B hits number one, she's the first female rapper to have a number one in 23 years. First female rapper to have a number one with no features in 23 years. Since Lauryn Hill. If Cardi B goes number one.
Starting point is 00:18:57 So that's history. The little regular shmegular girl from the Bronx. All right. Well, happy birthday to the homie Nas. Today is Nas' birthday. He's 44 years old today. And yes, I'm doing a Nas mix this morning. I'm getting ready.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Not only is Embi going to do a Nas mix, Embi going to find a way to tell that story about Nas pulling a gun on him. Just wait on it. Just wait on it. I wasn't going to tell that story. Just wait on it. I wasn't going to tell that story. Can we do rumors?
Starting point is 00:19:16 Just wait on it. I wasn't going to tell that story. Just wait on it. I wasn't going to tell that story. Before this show's over. Hello, can we do rumors? I feel like you mad you ain't got history with Nas. He's going to find a way to work in that Nas pulled a gun on him. He did, but I'm not going to talk
Starting point is 00:19:26 about that. We're past that. That was a long time ago. Okay, Uncle Envy. That was a long time ago. Let me tell y'all a story. Let me tell y'all, I didn't even say that. This guy's mad that he ain't got history with Nod. Give him a minute. That was classic, though. But anyway, let's get to rumors. We're talking Nod. It's about time. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:19:43 Rumor Report. Rumor Report. This is the Rumor Report. Talk to them. With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. So, yes, happy birthday to Nas today. He was celebrating last night, and he had Nicki Minaj there. Now, there's been a lot of speculation about the two of them dating. Remember when Nicki was on Ellen DeGeneres?
Starting point is 00:20:02 She said this about their relationship. But, no, let me clarify because I know people are going to think, no. What? We didn't do the... Nasty? Yeah. Yeah. Because, you know, because I wanted, I'm, you know, I'm just chilling right now.
Starting point is 00:20:19 I'm celibate. I wanted to go a year. All right. Well, at his birthday party last night, there was all kinds of footage and on his brother Jungle's Instagram Live, you could see the two of them kissing and all of that and then he tried to kiss her on camera and
Starting point is 00:20:34 here's what happened. Oh my God, stop! Wait, listen. Nazir, we're gonna save this. You guys, we want to thank you, all 200 of you for tuning in. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:20:48 I think that's a nice group of people for Nicki to be around, keep her music queens, keep her music honest, keep her music authentic. Basically, she needs somebody in the studio with her that know what they're doing, okay? Or maybe she just likes Nas, and they connected well. That was good. That's great, too.
Starting point is 00:21:02 So I'm just saying, that's a good circle to have around her at this moment. Well, that's a cute couple right there. Look at that. If you ever vote TV, you can see the actual video footage of how it's going down. All right. Now, J-Lo says that she's in a good relationship for the first time. Even though she's been married three times, she says, I'm in a good relationship. I feel like I can say that for the first time.
Starting point is 00:21:21 I don't know, maybe ever. And not that I didn't have great relationships full of love and adventure, but this is the first relationship I've been where I feel like we really make each other better. She said we compliment each other and there's really pure, true love, just wanting to support the other person and make them happy. So there's a different selflessness in the love that's beautiful and different and healthy. Damn, J-Lo just tastefully told Diddy he's trash. Tastefully told Ben Affleck he was trash.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Told Drake he was trash. Mark Anthony. Mark Anthony, he was trash. This is the honeymoon phase. Everything is good right now. Let's wait until they get to their first argument. Wow, guys, you guys are nice. That's the truth.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Maybe they really are in love. This is the I love you, I love you more, I love you more. Mark Anthony's like, I don't give a damn. I shot your club up, all right? You got two kids together. You my baby mama. Matter of fact, drop on a clues bomb for Mark Anthony. You'll be able to say J-Lo was your baby mama.
Starting point is 00:22:10 Come on now. Ex-wife. Mark Anthony may look like the X-ray of somebody's skeleton, but that's a good one. He did. He's had some beautiful wives, though, himself. Yes, he has. All right. Now, Shad Moss, since we're talking relationships all morning, he posted this on Instagram and people kind of went in on him.
Starting point is 00:22:26 I don't want a relationship. They hold you back. I want a best friend. I can sleep with, make love to, hustle with, get money with, travel with, shop with, club with, and live life with. Shut your dumb ass up, Shay. I mean, that sounds like you and June.
Starting point is 00:22:39 I want a partner in crime, a life partner, someone that I can laugh and build with, a woman I'm not afraid to lose because I know they'll always be there. Relationships are played, but a partnership I'll take. He don't know what he's talking about. Isn't a relationship a partnership? Yeah. Isn't a partnership a relationship?
Starting point is 00:22:54 It's supposed to be your best friend. What are you talking about? Your wife, my wife is my best friend. What are you talking about, dumbass? My wife is definitely my best friend. I guess he's made some bad decisions. And everything he said, I do with my wife. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:23:04 We go to the club. We make money together. We hustle together. She got my back. You just ain't met everything he said, I do with my wife. We go to the club. We make money together. We hustle together. She got my back. You just ain't met the right girl, young Shad. Sit your ass down, okay, and shut up. Telling these kids those stupid ass lies. A relationship isn't a partnership, and a partnership isn't a relationship.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Then what the hell is it? It's the same thing. Dumbass. Yeah, in a relationship, your partner should be your best friend in your relationship. And by the way, if you have a partner that you're doing all those things with, Shad, guess what? Y'all have a relationship. Dumb ass. Jesus Christ. Alright, well, I'm Angela
Starting point is 00:23:32 Yee, and that's your Rumor Reports. Alright, thank you, Miss Yee. Now, yesterday on the show, we got a chance to talk with Bun B and also Mike from Packer Shoes. He owns a couple of sneaker stores in the New York, New Jersey area, and we're getting an 18-wheeler. Yes. Breakfast Club, all Jersey area. And we're getting an 18-wheeler. Breakfast Club, all three of us, we're getting an 18-wheeler
Starting point is 00:23:47 and we're going to load that 18-wheeler up. And when we come back, we're going to talk about it, give you all the details. So if there's something that you want to send to hurricane victims, whether it's water, supplies, toys, school supplies, clothes, feminine products, whatever it may be. Everything counts, man. Everything helps. They're going to put it all in the
Starting point is 00:24:04 truck. They're going to need people to help put that stuff in the truck. It's a good cause. It's a great counts, man. Everything helps. They're going to put it all in the truck. They're going to need people to help put that stuff in the truck. It's a good cause. It's a great cause, actually. Tell them now, just in case they listen. I know we're going to talk about it
Starting point is 00:24:11 right when Bun B and them, but... Tell them what, the address? Yes. 818 T-Neck Road in T-Neck, New Jersey. Wait, what is it? The truck's going to be 800...
Starting point is 00:24:19 818. 818 T-Neck Road in T-Neck, New Jersey. Sunday from 12 to 4. Everybody was like, yo, I stopped by yesterday. Yeah, nobody was there because I said Sunday from 12 to 4. The day you're supposed to be in church, but you don't ever go. Sunday.
Starting point is 00:24:33 Sunday. All right. And we'll talk about it more when we come back. Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
Starting point is 00:24:41 We are The Breakfast Club. Now, we got a special guest with us today. And we mean it. Very, very special. Very, very. We have actually a couple of special guests. You might know his stores. He owns a couple of stores called Packers Shoes.
Starting point is 00:24:53 And he has all the newest hot releases. I call him when I need sneakers for me, my kids, my wife, whatever I need. But we're not here talking about sneakers today. We're talking about something way more important. We have Mike from Packers Shoes here. Good morning. How are you? How are you. We're talking about something way more important. We have Mike from Pack of Shoes here. Good morning. How are you? How are you, Gun? We're doing great. And we also on the phone live have Bun B. What's up, Bun? Yo, yo.
Starting point is 00:25:11 What up, Ben B? What up, Mike? Hey, Bun. How are you? Hey, Ben B. What's good? We're good. We're good. Feeling really blessed today. The telephone was a huge success. We raised over $40 million. Wow. To help people. I mean, it's a drop in the bucket, man.
Starting point is 00:25:27 But the effort is something that people need to see. They need to see people, you know, showing that they care, showing compassion. And I think we did a good job of letting the world know that last night. Did an amazing job with that. Now, last week I got a call from Bun B and Mike from Pack of Shoes and said, you know, we hear you guys talking on the radio about helping Houston and helping hurricane victims. You know, I got an idea.
Starting point is 00:25:49 And y'all called me with this amazing idea. Yeah, I mean, it's something. And it sort of has a little bit more backstory than that. And Bun and I talked about it. And it's just, thankfully, knowing and having the relationships that what we do over the years and knowing you and knowing bun and just all these things it's sort of on monday of labor day i'm sitting in the office doing some work and ray kwan of all people gets in touch with me and we have a
Starting point is 00:26:15 relationship with ray and he had some family and and that was in houston and he had gotten in touch with me and said hey if there's any way you can help him out, send some stuff, cool. You know, we do it. We know him forever. One thing leads to another. I'm looking on the blogs. I see what Bun is doing. And Bun and I know each other over the years. And the common denominator we know, Matt from Nice kicks down from Texas
Starting point is 00:26:38 and Houston and stuff like that. Next thing you know, I'm on the phone with Bun. Bun is telling me about it. And I'm like, you know, cool. We'll send the stuff down there by UPS. And then it sort of clicks that the whole thing with UPS, the stuff might not even get there because who knows if they're delivering. One thing leads to another.
Starting point is 00:26:55 An hour later, Bun gets in touch with me that some really nice guy by the name of Nick had got in touch with him, offering an 18-wheeler to take stuff down from Jersey down to Houston. And the next thing you know, I'm on the phone with Envy. Everything sort of comes together like a triangle. And it's all come together. And here we are now. Now you've got to fill the truck up.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Now we've got to fill the truck up. And what we were going to send down is not even a smidgen of what can fill that truck up. But we were, you know, thankfully have the ability. And there's so many people that do want to send down is not even a smidgen of what can fill that truck up, but it's, it's, we were, you know, thankfully have the ability. And there's so many people that do want to send stuff down. So this is a great opportunity for people in this area. If you're in New York, New Jersey, wherever to come by and drop off some things that can go in this tractor trailer. Now, what are some of the items Bambi that you guys need? Right now we're going to always need water, right? That's something that these communities are never going to not need, is water.
Starting point is 00:27:47 Some of these people have started to, the process of cleaning out the houses and kind of getting back to some normalcy, so they need a lot of cleaning supplies. And then also for the children, children and obviously the babies need diapers and milk, Similac,
Starting point is 00:28:05 and all that kind of stuff. But they also need toys, too. Like, they need clothes. They need anything that you would wake up in the morning and think you would need in the 30 minutes
Starting point is 00:28:15 to start your day. They need all of that. Right. And thank God that, you know, people like Mike and the guy Nick with the truck are just ready to help.
Starting point is 00:28:23 And Andy was like, yo, whatever we got to do, support the movement. I know y'all got a lot of listeners around the country, but specifically in that tri-state area, man, your voice rings bells. And we really need not just the regular people of that area to come out and fill up those trucks. We need New York and New Jersey.
Starting point is 00:28:44 We need to see you. So we'll be out there 12 to 4 Sunday, 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey. We have an 18-wheeler, and we need to fill this bitch out. We need to put as much as possible, water, pampers, feminine products, cleaning supplies, you name it,
Starting point is 00:29:02 we need to put in it. It doesn't matter what it is. We were going to put it in that truck, and we're going to drive that truck to Houston and make sure the people of Houston get those supplies and get the things that we need. Again, 818 T-Neck Road, T-Neck, New Jersey, from 12 to 4. Bring as much as you can.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Kids' clothes, feminine products, whatever you can. Water, a lot of water, Similac, whatever you can spare. And we'll be posting about this as well, so in case you can't write this down right now, we'll make sure we hold all that information. We'll be putting it on our social channels. I'm sure you guys will get it out there. We'll get it out there. The Giants are playing on Monday.
Starting point is 00:29:35 Half the Giants get stuff from us anyway, so we'll shame them to help fill the truck too. We'll figure it out. They're going to let me broadcast from there as well. So we're going to be doing some broadcast hits from there. The station is fully behind it. And,
Starting point is 00:29:50 Bon, thank you for putting this play together. No, man, thank you for receiving it, man. Cause you know, Mike wanted to do so many things.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Absolutely. You were like, whatever we could do to help. And, you know, thank God for Nick reaching out to my wife and, and saying, look,
Starting point is 00:30:03 I got this truck. So we have people that are willing to do their part to help these people. We just need help getting that stuff in the truck. So please, whatever you can donate, whatever you can give. Even if you can't give something to come out and help fill that truck up, it's a big truck. We're going to need some hands out there, too. Absolutely. And not sticky hands, either.
Starting point is 00:30:21 We're going to watch that. No sticky hands. And Mike, thank you for getting the permits and everything, man. Yeah, it's my pleasure. And, you know, when something like this comes about, and Bun and I have talked about it, everything sort of really has come together really, really quickly. And when you call, you know, the guys over at the police department in Teaneck, and they're volunteering, and the fire department guys want to volunteer,
Starting point is 00:30:42 and you know this, the way you have to get permits through a town sometimes takes a lot of time. When you called and you explained, when we called and explained what this was, this was literally a day and a half where you usually wait two and a half weeks for a permit to do something like this. So everybody's been pitching. Everybody has the right attitude about it. And, you know, I know you gave the address, but it's the big gas building on Teaneck Road
Starting point is 00:31:04 and Cedar Lane there. It's a municipal building right by the library, and it's a huge lot. And, you know, we'll hopefully get a lot of people out there. Thank you, bud. We'll make sure. All right, bud. Thanks, guys. Thanks, Mike.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Have a good one. I'll talk to you later. I appreciate it. Again, it's 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey, from 12 to 4. I'll be out there. I'm sure your favorite celebrities will be out there. We gotta load that truck up and get them supplies down to Houston. You said you want to help but didn't know how. This is the perfect way because this
Starting point is 00:31:31 stuff is getting directly to the people. 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey. If you're in the area or you want to come down, 12 to 4. And I appreciate you for joining us, Mike from Packers. Alright, now. Pull up on Sunday. That's this Sunday 12 All right, now. Pull up on Sunday. That's this Sunday, 12 to 4.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Yes, pull up on Sunday. You know, we're just public servants doing our due diligence by serving the needs of the public. And this is a good chance. Like I always say, you know, we're all we need at the end of the day. This is a good opportunity to show why we are all we need. Absolutely. God donated the truck, you know, and we got to pack it up and send it out there. And they also need help loading the truck. Shout out to
Starting point is 00:32:05 Wayno. He said he's going to come and help load the truck too. And it's Sunday. So if you didn't go to church and you ain't... You come after church. But even if you don't, you know, a lot of y'all don't go to church, you don't do your little tithing offerings. If you don't do your little tithing offerings, tithe an offer with us, okay? There you go. Alright. We don't even want no money. We just want some supplies.
Starting point is 00:32:22 There you go. Alright. Now when we come back, we were talking behind the scenes about Nas and Nicki Minaj. Now, allegedly, they're in a relationship. I wasn't talking about it. I walked into the room and heard a conversation going. Oh, we were watching the video, actually, and I'm kissing. And we were asking, 800-585-1051, who benefits more from this relationship? Let's be for real what happened.
Starting point is 00:32:41 The conversation we was having was, Nicki needs this right now. Because Nikki's cold out here in these streets. No, you weren't in the room when the conversation happened because some people were of the feeling that Nas, for the younger generation, when you hear stuff like what Lonzo Ball is saying, I'm just telling you what the conversation that happened in the room. Okay. I don't think Nikki's cold out there.
Starting point is 00:32:59 She's on the number one record. So some people were saying that Nas, for the younger generation, people, now he's, you know, people are paying attention. She's on it. Nas record. So some people were saying that Nas, for the younger generation, people are paying attention. She's on it. Nas is a legend. Listen, Nicki put out three songs this year. Where'd they go? Come on, let's keep it 100.
Starting point is 00:33:13 I don't know how hard I got on this. But Nas is legendary. I don't know, but she's number one. This is why I hate when we get on the air. She's on the charts number one right now. She's on Yo Gotti's record. She's on the charts right now. She has the number one record with Yo Gotti right now.
Starting point is 00:33:24 And it's not like she has a quiet verse on Yo Gotti's. Nikki put out three songs this year. All the girls sing her part. Nikki put out three songs this year. Right. They all tanked. Let's be for real. But Nikki is still a star.
Starting point is 00:33:34 She's a star. She's a star. But she's a little cold out here musically. Keep it 100. It's okay. I wouldn't say she's cold if she's on the number one record. Now, Burt, I've said that Nas is cold musically. No. Nas is a legend. That's what I said. Now, I'm upset that Nas is cold musically. No, Nas is a legend.
Starting point is 00:33:46 That's what I said. Nas is legendary. Nas can never be cold musically. There's no such thing as relevance when it comes to people like Nas. He's a legend. So let's open up the phone lines. 800-585-1051. Who benefits this relationship more, Nas or Nicki Minaj?
Starting point is 00:33:59 We'll talk about it when we come back. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Now we're asking, if you just joined
Starting point is 00:34:12 us, we're talking Nicki and Nas, their relationship. And we're asking, who benefits in this relationship? Is it Nas or is it Nicki Minaj? Who benefits? I don't think either one of them benefited. I mean, first of all, Nas is a legend. And you know, Nas is a legend. He's got a great catalog.
Starting point is 00:34:28 I mean, he's probably in everybody that knows hip-hop's top five rappers of all time list. Like, Whiffle without an album, Whiffle without a single. So I don't think, you know, he benefits. Like, if anything it helps Nicki because we're talking about Nicki right now.
Starting point is 00:34:43 I was going to say, Nicki benefits more. Yeah, because we're discussing her. Now, I hate to say this, but I honestly think it's a 50-50. I think it benefits Nas because it opens Nas to a whole new demographic of people who might not have heard Nas' music and will probably check it because of Nicki. I also think it crosses Nas more
Starting point is 00:34:59 over because Nicki's way crossover. But on the other end, I think for Nicki, it puts her back in the other end, I think for Nicki, it puts her back in the streets because Nas is never left the streets. You don't get more hip-hop credibility, really, than somebody like Nas. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:35:12 So I think that's helpful. Also, Nas, not just as a rapper, but also as a businessman. And Nicki's a businesswoman, too, but he's just been opening up these Sweet Chicks restaurants. He has his Mass Appeal magazine. Nas is not just one of the top rappers of all time. He's also
Starting point is 00:35:27 maintained his relevance outside of just music. Why are we having conversations about Nas crossing over? Plus he's cute and Nicki's good looking. Nas is Nas. Nas is a legend. Who cares what these young kids know? These young kids may not know how great Magic Johnson was on the court. That don't take away the fact he got five championships,
Starting point is 00:35:44 MVP, trophy, been to the finals nine times. It doesn court. That don't take away the fact he got five championships, MVP, trophy, he's been to the finals nine times. It doesn't. It don't even matter. Magic Johnson's not playing ball anymore. Nas is still putting records out. Nas is Nas, though. He's still putting out records out. There's nothing that can happen to Nas right now that can ruin Nas's legacy, catalog, resume.
Starting point is 00:36:00 He is solidified. Guys like him, Jay-Z, Scarface, Andre 3000, you don't even rank them. You don't even talk about relevance when it comes to them. They are legends. They're statues. Nobody's not saying he's not a legend. When you talk about this relationship, I think this relationship benefits both of them.
Starting point is 00:36:17 He's saying they benefit 50-50. Absolutely. They're a very handsome couple. I'll give them that, though. A handsome couple? A nice, good-looking couple. You think Nikki's handsome? Wow.
Starting point is 00:36:23 As a couple, it's a handsome couple. I didn't know women used to be handsome. I thought it was an insult to say a woman's handsome, but okay, Angelia, if you say it. No, it's a handsome couple. It's a real saying that people say. Nikki's handsome. If you think Nikki's handsome, cool, ye. Just when she run up on you in the street, you just have that same energy. Like, oh,
Starting point is 00:36:37 I was handsome, ye? All right? And ye was good. I'm handsome. And you know that's all Nikki's on here. You said I was handsome. Yep. Carlos! Yo, what's going on? And ye was good. I'm handsome. And you know that's already going in. You said I was handsome. Yep. Carlos. Yo, what's going on? Hey, we're talking Nicki and Nas. Who benefits in this relationship?
Starting point is 00:36:51 Well, I think both of them are going to benefit. Plus, we need a new power couple in the business. Right now, we slacking on the power couple thing. How are we slacking on the power couples? You got Beyonce, Jay-Z. You got Alicia Keys. You just said it. You just said it right there. Thank you, Beyonce, Jay-Z. You got Alicia Keys. You just said it. You just said it right there.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Thank you, Beyonce, Jay-Z. You just started with the ones, and that's it. Swizz and Alicia Keys. Cardi B and Offset. What do you mean? And possibly we're going to have the jealous ones attack Nas, so we're going to get Nas back in the ring. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:37:19 And let's be clear. Women love Nas in general. Absolutely. So that's a good look. All right, we got Joy on the line. Joy, who benefits from this relationship, Nas or Nicki? What do you think? Good morning.
Starting point is 00:37:30 I think that Nas benefits, but at the same time, Nas is a legend, and Nas even relates to the millennials. I think Nas cares about relating to millennials. I think he wants to relate to everybody. He's putting out new music. And guess who's going to buy it? Us old motherfuckers. All right?
Starting point is 00:37:47 The 35 and up crowd is going to buy Nas. But I think he wants to touch the younger youth as well. He doesn't just want to say, okay, I'm just going to focus on 35 and plus. No, he's putting out music for people to love. Jay-Z put out 444. You think he was saying, you know what, I'm going to focus on youth? That was a very mature, grown album. He did.
Starting point is 00:38:03 He talked to the youth about what they should do with their money. He talked to both. He's talking to everybody about it. Exactly, and that's what Nas is probably going to do. Nas doesn't need to be an adult. When you try to cater to anybody, you will lose. Whenever you try to cater to somebody, you will lose. Well, I don't think Nas has tried to cater to anyone.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Sharice, come on in. Good morning. Who benefits off this relationship more? What do you think, Nicki or Nas? I think Nicki, because like Charlamagne said, Nicki is on the ice box right now and she's on the charts
Starting point is 00:38:28 because she's a feature. Nas is a legend. Nasia Jones, he can't benefit from her. Okay. Thank you, mama. And why we acting like Nicki ain't grown as hell?
Starting point is 00:38:37 Nicki be 35 this year. We acting like she's 20 something. I think compared to how long Nas has been in the game, she's young. Absolutely. I woke up early on my born day.
Starting point is 00:38:48 I'm 20. It's a blessing. Just think about that was 24 years ago. He's been rapping for over 25 years. Nas 44 today. Nicki be 35 this year. All right. It's only nine years.
Starting point is 00:38:59 585-1051. Who benefits from this relationship? Call us now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:39:09 Now, if you just joined us, we're talking about Nas and Nicki Minaj. Angela Yee reported that they are in a relationship. Allegedly, she's seen some behind-the-scenes footage of them kissing. It was on Instagram Live on Jungle's page, and you could see them kissing, dancing. It was his birthday party, and they were slow dancing. It was cute. So we're asking 805-85-1051, who benefits more from this relationship? Well, I'm a grown-ass man, and Nas is in my top seven favorite hip-hop MCs of all time.
Starting point is 00:39:37 So Nas is a legend to me. I don't see how he benefits from this in any way, shape, or form. I think it works in Nicki's benefit because we're actually talking about her right now. And I mean, listen, let's be for real. Nicki is cold out here. Yeah, she's on Rake It Up, but that's Joe Gotti's record. I'm going to ask you a question. What do you consider cold? See, what you consider cold is not what other people consider cold. I mean, Nicki was killing it all
Starting point is 00:39:56 at Fashion Week this whole week. She has her mad collaboration. She's a star. Musically, she's a star. Two out of three records she put out went gold on the way to platinum. Is that a cold out there? Listen. The two out of three records that she put out went gold. Nikki is a star. Is that a cold out there? Listen. The two of the three records that she put out went gold. Which records? Which ones went gold?
Starting point is 00:40:09 Only. Lonely. Which one was that? Only. Who was on that? That's the one you were talking about with Drake and... No, No Frauds was the one with Drake and Lil Wayne. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:40:17 No Frauds is gold. It's gold. And what's the other one? I don't know. You tell me. You're the one telling me stuff. I never had to know. No Frauds and Only.
Starting point is 00:40:24 No Frauds did okay, but it didn't pop off. Then she put. You the one telling me stuff. No frauds. No frauds. No frauds did okay. All right. But it didn't pop off. Then she put out two other records the same day. One with Lil Wayne. That didn't pop off. So is gold not popping? Gold is cool.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Gold is cool. Gold is cool. But honestly, do you think no frauds was a hit? No. All right then. So what do we talk? Why are we? Well, she's not cold.
Starting point is 00:40:41 I understand that's your home, girl. She's freezing. Come on, be for real. I'm from Queens. She's from Queens. But no, I just want to be fair. Music. Break it up as she's on that. I understand that's your home, girl. She's freezing. Come on, be for real. I'm from Queens. She's from Queens. But no, I just want to be fair. Break it up as she's on that record. That's Gotti's record.
Starting point is 00:40:48 If people didn't know her verse or spit her verse, I'd be like, yeah, nobody can. I think cold is a very harsh thing to say. I don't think she's... Musically, Nikki's not in a great space. Can we say that? She could be in a better space. I agree. Just kidding.
Starting point is 00:40:59 She could be in a better space. All right, whatever. Whether you want to say she's cold... But she's on the number one record. It's Gotti's record. It's a feature. That could have been anybody on that track. All I'm simply saying is Nikki is cold musically, and she could be in a way better.
Starting point is 00:41:13 No, she's not in a good space musically. Everybody knows it. All the DJs know it. All the programmers talk about it. I don't know why we on this radio fronting right now, but whatever. I don't know about that. Yes, I think that the relationship benefits Nikki because we're talking about it,
Starting point is 00:41:26 and I hope that she takes Nas in the studio with her and they come up with some heat. I think it's 50-50. I think it should be 50. I think their relationship is 50-50. It benefits Nas and it benefits Nikki. It's disrespectful. Nas is a legend, bro.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Nas should have a statue in Queensbridge. I mean, it is Nas. This is Nasia Jones we talking about. Nas don't benefit from no relationship. He's a legend. He is a legend. God MC. Stop it, man. He is Nas. This is Nas here, Jones, we talking about. Nas don't benefit from no relationship. He's a legend. He is a legend. God MC. Stop it, man.
Starting point is 00:41:49 He is a legend. But I think... All right, everybody has their own opinion. It's fine. Let's go to the phone lines. Hello, who's this? This is Big B. Hey, what's up, bro?
Starting point is 00:41:57 We're talking, guys. I'm coming from Virginia, man. It's good with you, Breakfast Club. What's up, bro? Shout out to you. I mean, I heard what y'all was asking the question, and I feel both of them kind of need each other. Think about it like this.
Starting point is 00:42:19 Nas has been out 20-plus years. Right. Everybody that's, what, 20, I guess 17 and up, they don't know about Nas. Who cares? And they think Amigos. But I'm just saying, everybody think Amigos and all these mumble rappers is all that. No lyrics.
Starting point is 00:42:37 So what it would help her, first of all, Nas would help Nicki Minaj change her image up as far as lyric-wise and how she sound. Like you said, she's cold right now. So she needs somebody like him to change up her rap. Because all that robotic type sound is kind of whack right now. And as far as Nas,
Starting point is 00:42:58 I mean, just to come out and show the youngins how to rap, lyrics, I mean, hey. All the youngins all the youngins how to rap, lyrics. I mean, hey. All the youngins who actually rap respect Nas, bro. Like, J.K.,
Starting point is 00:43:13 I let Nas down. What are y'all talking about? Like, stop, man. Stop, man. I got what you're saying. 50-50. You got your opinion. Hello, who's this? Callie from Boston. Hey, Callie. We're talking this relationship with Nas and Nicki.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Who benefits more? What do you think? Clearly, Nicki benefits more. And if she's not benefiting, she's a fool because she's dating the legendary Nas. So he can help her get her bars up. And Nas is cute, too. Let's be clear, right? Oh, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Women love Nas. Let me ask you a question. You think Nicki... I've been in life not a fan of Nicki, but I'm a bit jealous she's winning because she got Nas. You think Nicki's cold musically? Oh, of course. She sucks. I ain't going to say all that now.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Jesus Christ. She's too far. She don't suck now. Goodness gracious. God dang. From what I've heard from her, I'm open. From the music that I've heard, I would never like,
Starting point is 00:44:06 I wouldn't listen to it. It's not your flow right there, okay. Yeah, no, no, no, no. I was born in the 80s, so. So was she. Yeah, yeah, I'm an 80s baby.
Starting point is 00:44:17 I don't listen to none of that. But Nikki has a way younger fan base because Nikki started late. That's the only way I listen to the radio. Thank you, Mama.
Starting point is 00:44:24 But Nikki started late. Nikki's fan base is younger. It's not the same fan base. Nikki is a star younger fan base because Nikki started late. Thank you, Mama. But Nikki started late. Nikki's fan base is younger. It's not the same fan base. Nikki is a star, but she is cold musically right now. It's like you could say 2 Chainz. 2 Chainz has a younger fan base. I don't care about age. I'm old, too.
Starting point is 00:44:34 All right? All I'm simply saying is Nikki is cold musically. Nas is a legend. I do hope that Nas gets in the studio with her and helps her craft some joints. But other than that, I just don't see how I don't see what that benefit is a strong word. I don't think either one of them really need each other. Right. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:44:52 Yeah, we didn't say they need each other. We're just saying who's getting a better look from it. Basically. I don't know. I'll be honest with you. I really don't know. We got rumors on the way. Yes, let's talk about Tyrese. And now he went on Twitter and Instagram and exposed some things about what's going on in his life. We'll tell you what that is.
Starting point is 00:45:09 Also, wearing a dress. Young Jock went to y'all to stop judging him just because he had a dress on. All right. Now don't forget. Maybe I didn't like the dress. At 9 a.m., I'm releasing my video. You can check it out on The Breakfast Club YouTube page or Worldstar. I'm releasing my video.
Starting point is 00:45:24 It's pretty dope. So check it out at 9 a.m. Rumors on the way. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club YouTube page. All-world star. I'm releasing my video. Pretty dope. So check it out at 9 a.m. Rumors on the way. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:45:36 Good morning. Good morning. Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk Serena Williams. Listen up. It's just in. All the gossip. Gossip.
Starting point is 00:45:43 The rumor report. Gossip. Gossip. With Angela Yee. It's the in. All the gossip. Gossip. The Rumor Report. Gossip. Gossip. With Angela Yee. It's the Rumor Report. The Breakfast Club. Well, Serena Williams, as you should all know by now, she had her little baby daughter, Alexis Olympia O'Hanion Jr.
Starting point is 00:45:59 I didn't know girls could be juniors. I didn't know that either. But Alexis Jr. weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces when she was born. She was born September 1st. What's her name again? Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. So where did the junior come in at? His name, the dad's name is Alexis. Oh, gotcha, gotcha. That's weird.
Starting point is 00:46:16 Yeah, I would think that the junior would be the junior of the mother, but okay. Alright, now here is what she said happened because there were some complications at the hospital. So we're leaving the hospital after 6, now, here is what she said happened because there were some complications at the hospital. So we're leaving the hospital after six, seven days? It's been a long time, but we had a lot of complications. But look who we got.
Starting point is 00:46:37 We got a baby girl, Junior. And there you have it. So congratulations to them. We dropped one of Kool's bombs for Serena. Six or seven days. What's the lucky man's name? Alexis Ohanian. Alexis Ohanian. Congrats. Alright, and their new baby girl. Tyrese, speaking of baby girls, is having
Starting point is 00:46:51 some issues with his custody with his daughter. Now his ex, Norma Gibson, has filed an order of protection against him on behalf of their daughter, Shayla. She says that there was an incident where, according to Norma Gibson, their 10-year-old daughter was staying with Tyrese, her dad, and he went into a rage,
Starting point is 00:47:10 pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other because he accused his daughter of stealing her own piggy bank money that she received for her birthday. Now, according to Norma, she said the child was beaten again several times after she begged for mercy and screamed,, according to Norma, she said the child was beaten again several times after she begged for mercy and screamed, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please stop, you're hurting me. And then she went home and told her mom, Dad beat me so hard that it hurts when I sit down.
Starting point is 00:47:33 She said Tyrese beat her? Yes. So now I'm telling you, this is why Tyrese said this. No freaking way. Go ahead. So now Tyrese, they've had a long history of conflict. And that's why if you saw Tyrese yesterday on Instagram, all I want to do is co-parent. Nothing else, please. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt.
Starting point is 00:47:52 I've only prayed that your heart heals and we live in our lives separately and peacefully on behalf of our daughter. There's someone out here for everybody. Norma, I know you can see this. I'm sorry I got remarried. I'm sorry we didn't work out. I'm sorry you haven't been able to find another man since we separated. Sometimes you get married and have kids and things just don't work out. But I have never wished harm on you.
Starting point is 00:48:10 I was hoping by now you got over what we used to be. And he called her bitter and resentful and just flat out mean. He said that's never good for our daughter. So we don't know the truth. But he did say more truths are coming soon. Child custody family issues are the worst. That definitely is, especially when they play out in the public over social media. Right. So that is why he put that post up on Instagram yesterday, because she did go ahead and file a restraining order on behalf of their young daughter.
Starting point is 00:48:36 All right. Now, young Jack wants people to stop judging him. He actually was out and about wearing a dress. Why? He said he knew this would lead to backlash. The only issue I had is I didn't really like the actual dress. It looked kind of cheap. I didn't like the... It looked Fashion Nova-ish.
Starting point is 00:48:50 I don't like that dress. It looked kind of cheap. On him. But anyway, here's what he had to say. It looked Rainbow-esque on Instagram. Yeah, not Fashion Nova-ish. Rainbow-esque. Y'all probably wondering what the hell y'all got the hell going on.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Every time I see that little picture, I'm like,'m like damn what is going on it's called internet manipulation this is going to be one of the craziest times ever i will not be silent and yes i will take full advantage of it i'm currently on four television shows on vh1 you will see me coming up here in october on um scared famous leave it to Stevie. Then you'll probably turn around and see me on Hip Hop Squares. Then you're going to turn around and see me on Possibly Loving Hip Hop. So basically, Young Jock is saying he's a media whore who does anything for attention. That's what he's basically saying.
Starting point is 00:49:36 That's what it sounds like. And I will say this. When I saw that video yesterday, he actually was good in the dress. He got titties and hips. You know what I'm saying? Stop. I'm looking at it now. And he got a good head, too. Yeah, you got breasts, hips, and a nice perm. You should be in the dress. He got titties and hips. You know what I'm saying? Stop. I'm looking at it now. And he got good hips, too.
Starting point is 00:49:48 Yeah, you got breasts, hips, and a nice perm. You should be in a dress. I don't have no problem with that. Go, girl. You do your thing, young jock. All right, now. Just make sure you wear deodorant and shave under your arms, okay? You can't have hairy underarms and be wearing that blouse you had on. XXXTentacion has put out a new video, Look At Me, that he directed.
Starting point is 00:50:04 And it's supposed to be about police brutality against black citizens, against white supremacy and slavery. And there's a scene that was particularly hard to cast with two young boys. One of the kids is white, the other one is black. And he actually slips the noose around the white child's neck. According to the casting director, LaShawna Stanley, she said it took quite some time to convince the parents it was a good role with a strong message because they could not cast that role for one of their kids to go ahead and have a noose
Starting point is 00:50:31 slipped around their child's neck as well. So if you guys didn't see that video, it's been causing quite some controversy online. Look at me is what it's called. Yeah, I seen it yesterday. Now that song is dumb old. That song is about, what, five months old, four months old? I'm surprised he just released it now. Right, now, LaShawna
Starting point is 00:50:48 says what XXXTentacion wanted viewers to see was that white men and boys have been getting hanged for 150 years in America. So, what if it had been, no, what if it had been, sorry, what if it had been white men and boys instead of black men and boys? All right, well, I'm
Starting point is 00:51:04 Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report. All right, well I'm Angela Yee and that is your rumor report. Alright, thank you Miss Yee. Charlemagne! Yes. Who you giving that donkey to? Oh man, I need Sarah Huckabee, the White House Press Secretary, to come to the front of the congregation. We'd like to have a word with her, please. Alright, we'll get into that when we come back. Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:51:20 Charlemagne, say the game. Don't get out of shape. Charlemagne! You are a donkey. It's gang, donkey of the day. Charlamagne. You are a donkey. It's time for Donkey of the Day. Donkey of the Day does not discriminate. I might not have the song of the day, but I got the donkey of the day. So if you ever feel I need to be a donkey, man, hit me with the heat. It's the Breakfast Club, bitches.
Starting point is 00:51:39 Who's donkey of the day today? Well, Ed Sheeran, donkey of the day for Thursday, September 14th calls the White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee. Now, yesterday I gave ESPN donkey of the day for not standing by the great Jemele Hill and seeming to side with the hate and bigotry that our celebrity in chief, Donald J. Trump, always has on display. Now, quick refresher, Jemele tweeted Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself with other white supremacists.
Starting point is 00:52:06 She tweeted, Trump is the most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime. His rise is a direct result of white supremacy, period. She also tweeted, the height of white privilege is being able to ignore Trump's white supremacy because it's of no threat to you. Well, it's a threat to me. Those are just a few of Jemele Hill's tweets on Donald Trump, and if you don't understand why those tweets are actual and factual, then you're just not paying attention. Or like she said, you're able to ignore Trump's white supremacy because it's of no threat to you.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Well, ESPN released a very trash ass statement saying Jamel's comments do not represent the sports network's views and that Jamel recognizes her actions were inappropriate. Hey, ESPN, when are you going to recognize that your president is inappropriate and there is nothing inappropriate about calling Donald J. Trump inappropriate? And ESPN, instead of taking a stand with Jemele against hate and bigotry, they decided to denounce the person who called out the white supremacists, which makes it seem like they are now standing
Starting point is 00:52:57 with white supremacy. Well, and to Sarah Huckabee, the White House press secretary, who yesterday said this. I'm not sure if he's aware, but I think that's one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make. And certainly something that I think is a fireable offense by ESPN. Excuse me. Say what? Sarah Huckabee calling for the firing of Jamel Hill because of her comments. Let me hear that again.
Starting point is 00:53:20 I'm not sure if he's aware, but I think that's one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make. And certainly something that I think is a fireable offense by ESPN. Sarah Huckabee, the only person who should be fired for outrageous comments is Donald J. Trump. OK, the hypocrisy that's going on in America is ridiculous. We have a president who can dish it, but can't take it. Sarah Huckabee is calling for the firing of Jamemele Hill because she thinks Jemele's comments were outrageous. Nobody in the White House who represents Donald Trump should be calling for the firing of someone because they said something outrageous. That's what America has been calling for all year. The firing of Donald Trump because he constantly keeps saying outrageous and offensive things.
Starting point is 00:53:58 How in the hell can Sarah Huckabee find what Jemele Hill said offensive? But come out there and cape for Donald Trump every day. Not to mention in 2012, Donald Trump tweeted out that Obama's 2007 speech with the Daily Caller, which the Daily Caller just released, not only shows that Obama is a racist, but also
Starting point is 00:54:17 how the press always covers for him. So he should have got fired. Exactly. I don't remember anyone calling for Donald Trump to be fired from Celebrity Apprentice over that tweet. So, Sarah, it's not a fireable offense to infer that someone
Starting point is 00:54:30 is racist or bigoted, especially when said person has showed us over and over through actions and deeds, words and lip service that he is probably indeed a racist bigot.
Starting point is 00:54:39 It is a great article in the NY Daily News today from a man named Karan J. Phillips. I think I'm pronouncing his first name right. Drop one of Clues a man named Karan J. Phillips. I think I'm pronouncing his first name right. Drop one of Clues bombs for Karan J. Phillips. A lot of great points. He points
Starting point is 00:54:51 out some great things. He said Donald Trump defunded an anti-neo-Nazi group known as Life After Hate that is run by former skinheads that helps get people out of that life. And Donald Trump even lives in a White House that still hasn't committed to signing a joint congressional resolution that would condemn white supremacy
Starting point is 00:55:08 although it was unanimously passed in Congress. Things like that are why Jemele Hill and many others including myself say Trump is a white supremacist who surrounds himself with other white supremacists. Sarah Huckabee and the White House are trying to deter journalists from speaking the truth. Karanjay Phillips
Starting point is 00:55:23 says in this article in the Daily News that at their core, journalists are truth-tellers. Jemele Hill is both. I absolutely agree. We need truth-tellers in media to keep everybody honest. And if Donald Trump and the Trump administration don't want the media talking bad about them, then how about trying to do some good for once?
Starting point is 00:55:41 How about attempt to make America great again for everybody? Try that approach if you want more favorable reviews from the media. You are only getting back what you put out and this manipulation of the media has to stop, especially when we have a president who says what he wants, when he wants, and doesn't care about who he offends. Please give White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee the biggest hee-haw, please. I remember reading a quote one time that said, manipulating the media is akin to poisoning a nation's water supply.
Starting point is 00:56:16 It affects all of our lives in unimaginable ways. And I absolutely agree. And the Trump administration is trying to manipulate the media into being scared to tell the truth about what is going on in the White House. And I'm telling all my people, don't be afraid. Okay, that's just how life is. People will always try to scare you into things, scare you away from things, scare you into not wanting things you can't help wanting. You can't be afraid.
Starting point is 00:56:34 Tell the truth. Shame the white devil. All right. All right, thank you for that donk here today. Now when we come back, ask ye. 800-585-1051. If you need relationship advice, you can call Yee right now. She'll put you on the phone lines live and help you with your problems.
Starting point is 00:56:48 Again, 800-585-1051. Ask Yee. Here's Travis Scott. Goosebumps. This is The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
Starting point is 00:56:58 We are The Breakfast Club. It's time for Ask Yee. What line do you want to go to? Let's do Madison. She's on line six. Not my Madison. Hello? Maybe. Good morning. You should be in school, you want to go to? Let's do Madison. She's on line six. Not my Madison. Hello? Maybe. Good morning. You should be in school, Maddie. No, that's not my Madison. Hey,
Starting point is 00:57:11 Madison, what's your question for Ye? What's up, guys? Good morning. Hey, Madison, what's up? What's up, honey? My question is... You gotta get closer to the phone. You sound a little far away. Alright, honey, can you hear me now? We can hear you. Alright. My question is, I'm recently single. I've been in a relationship with my son's father for six years, i don't know how to date i don't have i'm in school full time and i work full time and i have my son so i don't really have time to be going out and
Starting point is 00:57:34 meeting new people i tried the whole tinder thing but everybody got a little dig and you know they're just weird right and i don't i don't have. And I'm trying to figure out like how. Like, I really want to stay focused on my career, my future. But a girl has needs. I really have needs. And first of all, the Tinder app is really like a hookup app. So that's kind of probably why, you know, I don't know. There's different apps that you can use. But I don't know about Tinder because I know people that use that just for like, I mean, you could potentially find somebody on there. But I do feel like people use Tinder more for like random hookups, you know. Now, do you have friends that can actually refer you or set you up with people? Honestly speaking, I have one best friend and she's focused on her dude.
Starting point is 00:58:18 And, you know, I'm not trying to get into any type of relationship. I just got out of one. Right. I'm just looking for like a good friend that I can call up. A friend with the benefits. Yes. So I can stay focused, you know?
Starting point is 00:58:30 I'm tired of being alone like that. You feel me? And I, listen, this is one thing. And I have a, so one of my best friends from high school, right? She's single right now too. And she works all the time. She's an attorney.
Starting point is 00:58:41 And I told her, sometimes you just have to leave the house and just do like... My best friend is an attorney too. You said what? My. She's an attorney. And I told her, sometimes you just have to leave the house. My best friend is an attorney, too. You said what? My best friend is an attorney, too. How funny. Yes, I told her, just sometimes just go places. Like, you have to make a little bit of an effort to go out.
Starting point is 00:58:55 And don't ever go out with the intention of, I'm going to find somebody that I could, you know, casually date and have sex with. Go out with the intention of just having a good time and meeting people. And those people might... I feel like I get awkward, though. Like, I don't know how to flirt. I feel so weird. And I like men and women, so I'm open to, you know, being open to both. We have somebody up here for you.
Starting point is 00:59:15 No, I'm kidding. But, um... I mean, hey. But you don't have to... No, but I don't know how to be not awkward. You don't have to flirt. And the problem is that in your head, you're thinking that you're going out with the intention of meeting people to date. You should be going out with the intention of just making friends in your head.
Starting point is 00:59:31 What if she wants to date? I know, but I'm saying she's putting pressure on herself. Like, you don't have to meet every person. And that's what makes it awkward where you feel like you're flirting. Just be yourself. Don't look at everybody as, that's a person that I could potentially take home. You just look at it as like, okay, let me see who this is, how you're doing, nice to meet you. Maybe it won't turn out like that.
Starting point is 00:59:48 Maybe I will end up being just friends and they'll introduce you to somebody else that you do like. But just take those opportunities to go out with people from your job, just to hang out a little bit. You know, if anything, you just might make some new friends. And then, you know, at some point you'll find somebody. But you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself if you feel like you have to flirt with people because that's somebody you might end up taking home. Just go out, meet people, and it'll happen more organically for you like that. But you do need to leave the house. I always tell people, it's never going to come to you.
Starting point is 01:00:15 Make that. And if you want to do that, you have to make sure that you go out and do things. Be a little bit social. If there's some events at work that everybody's going out for drinks, then go out and join them. You know, there might be people that work at... You know what the hard part about that is? I work graveyard. I work graveyard from like 11 in the morning.
Starting point is 01:00:32 So when I get out, everybody's going into work. And I don't really have friends like that. Right. And then I have a four-year-old son. So on top of that, I have full-time school, which makes it even more difficult. Our board op is asking for your Instagram picture. Yeah, I think that's what I was about to ask for.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Tyler, Madison Tyler. Madison Tyler? Oh, my goodness. I think you... I'm from Newark, too, but I moved to Miami. Madison, what is it? Tyler. M-A-D-I-S-Y.
Starting point is 01:00:59 That's funny. Hold on, M-A-D-Y-S? Uh-huh. S-Y, no, M-A-D-I-S-Y. S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-S-Y-M-A-D-Y-L-E-R. Tyler. Tyler, yeah. Let me see. That's why she really can't find it. My daughter's name is Madison Taylor. But yeah, that's not coming up, Madison. It say no results found. Yeah, sorry.
Starting point is 01:01:29 This page isn't available. But anyway. I follow you, Salome, and I like you. Tag me in something, and then I'll hit you back and let you know why you really can't find it, man. Congrats on your book, by the way. Thank you very much. But you know, I suggest going on something more like MASH.com. Sometimes those paid sites that you go on to, and you know, I suggest going on something more like mash.com. Sometimes those paid sites
Starting point is 01:01:45 that you go on to and you can do a free trial on there too. Those people are a little bit, I think, more vetted than the ones that are like on Tinder
Starting point is 01:01:53 where people are like, random hookup, where you at? Nah, I'm not trying to, I mean, I'm trying to look for somebody where I can just call them up
Starting point is 01:01:58 and be like, look, I'm done studying, can you come through? Right. I'm not looking for a vetted But that takes a little bit of effort to find that type of person.
Starting point is 01:02:05 I bought off said bet. I can't find it. You can't find your IG, though. He looking. All right, Madison. All right, I'm going to stop you guys. Thank you guys so much. I love you.
Starting point is 01:02:14 All right. Thank you, mama. Good luck. All right, guys. Bye. By the way, Madison, you don't know what you agreeing to with our bought off M-Eazy.
Starting point is 01:02:21 And M-Eazy don't know what he agreeing with. What's on the other side of this phone? You disagreeing. Ask E-805-85-1051. And M-Eazy don't know what he agreeing with. You don't know. What's on the other side of this phone? You disagreeing. Asky, 805-85-1051. All right, there's the picture. And she has all... Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:31 Yeah, I bought up yet. How did you find her? He found her. All right, well... Let me see. He's not playing. Let Uncle Charlotte see, goddammit. That's all babies.
Starting point is 01:02:40 No, no, no. The first one's not a baby. It looked like a baby, but it's not a baby. All right, guys. Asky, 805-85-1051. We just did a hookup. Oh, no, no. The first one's not a baby. It looked like a baby, but it's not a baby. All right, guys. Asky, 805-85-105-1. We just did a hookup. Oh, my goodness. All right.
Starting point is 01:02:49 You want to ask your question, Cole, now? Why you got that face on? I mean, she cute. She got her lips so puckered like she got them teeth, though. Like, when she smiled, she got Sheryl Underwood gums and teeth. God bless Sheryl Underwood. It's the breakfast Pokemon. That was Cardi B with Bodak Yellow.
Starting point is 01:03:04 The number two song in the country, soon to be number one. And when Cardi B hit number one, we're going to dance. You know when she hits number one, she'll be the first female rapper to have a number one song with no features in 23 years since Lauryn Hill. Dope. Dope, dope, dope. All right. Ask Yee, 805-85-1051.
Starting point is 01:03:21 You got a question for Yee. What line you want to go to, Yee? Let's do line number five. K.I. Hello, K.I for you. What line you want to go to, Yee? Let's do line number five. K.I. Hello, K.I. Yo. What's up, man? Hey, how you doing?
Starting point is 01:03:30 What's your question for Yee? I've been in a relationship for like 15 years. And, you know, I moved in with my girl about five years ago. Okay. And I kept my apartment. But now it seems like every time she's mad at me, she tells me, get out. Get out. I want you out of my house.
Starting point is 01:03:50 I want you. And then she wants me to give up my apartment. No, hell no. Yeah, I'm not giving up my apartment. But it's causing so much friction in my house. So she tells you to get out. But then at the same time, she wants you to get rid of your apartment. Right. So she tells you to get out, but then at the same time, she wants you to get rid of your apartment.
Starting point is 01:04:06 Right. The problem is that when you guys are together and live together, you should never feel like it's her house and you're staying there. It should never be get out of my house. This is our house. And if you make me feel like I'm a guest there and at any moment I might not have a place to live, why would I give up my apartment? That's what I'm feeling. But, you know, I care about it. I love her. I've known have a place to live, why would I give up my apartment? That's what I'm feeling. But, you know, I care about it. I love it. I've done it a long time, but, you know, I'm getting too old for the nonsense.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Right. So why don't you guys live together? You've been together 15 years, but no intention on getting married? I mean, I would love to be married. But y'all argue all the time. That's a lot of trust issues too, you know? She got caught cheating before and all that. And she still hasn't proven to me, like, you know.
Starting point is 01:04:51 So wait, she cheated on you. She tells you to get out and wants you to give up your apartment. This all sounds very selfish. And then she wants, like, you know, then it's a lot of games, too. Like, you know, trying to put me on punishment. You know what I'm saying? Are you happy,
Starting point is 01:05:09 K.I.? Yeah, I mean... Are you happy in your relationship? Is she making you a better, stronger person? I do what I want to do. I'm not... I mean, I'm asking you, are you happy? Is she making you a better person?
Starting point is 01:05:27 Are you making her a better person? I think I do. All I do is help. I'm a giving person. Okay, is she giving to you? Is she helping you? I don't know. I can't answer that.
Starting point is 01:05:39 I don't know. You should be able to answer that. You should be able to say yes, absolutely. See, that's the thing. At times I feel like she don't know. You should be able to answer that. You should be able to say yes, absolutely. See, that's the thing. At times I feel like, you know, she don't give a shit. And then I don't know what she's doing. You know, I don't know. I'm just confused about how she could cheat on you,
Starting point is 01:05:54 tell you to get out of her house when it should be both of your, you know, it should be, I should never feel like we've been together 15 years, we've been living together for five years, I'm still a guest in your house. I should never feel like that. That's my point. What I would suggest to you, K.I., is because you do have the availability of having your own apartment, I suggest that you guys work on your relationship.
Starting point is 01:06:14 But maybe you do need right now to take a little break from that. Let her see what it feels like for you guys to not be together. Maybe she takes for granted the fact that you're not going anywhere and that you'll always be with her because it has been a long time. Yeah, because we have a daughter. I don't want to be not around my kid. And you can still be around
Starting point is 01:06:33 your kid. I'm not saying that you're not going to be around your child, but I understand wanting to be there every single morning when she wakes up. Right. But in order to save your relationship, sometimes you have to take a step back from it to work on it because it's really hard when you guys are in it together and not being able to take that space to see where you guys are making mistakes and where you need to improve. Because we get so used to just the daily routine of are you make up, are you make up, are you make up and nothing changes because no one takes action. Yeah, sometimes I just think, yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:05 Sometimes the best thing to do is to take a break like that, you know. I know, like, one of my friends was in a seven-year relationship, and her and her boyfriend broke up, and she ended up moving out, and that's what made them realize that they really belong together. Right. You know, so. The space. The space.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Instead of, it's going to be one of two things. Either you guys realize that, you know, it's time to move on because why would you want to waste more time? Or you'll realize that, you know what, we got to fix this. And in order to fix it, you have to be proactive. So I need to bunch. I'm just saying you need you might since you have a place already that you can go to. I think you need to still be there, be involved, start dating again, date each other. Do those things that y'all used to do
Starting point is 01:07:45 so you can maybe get some of that love back. Don't talk to each other when you're arguing. Have a conversation over dinner where you guys are in a good mood. This is part of the problem too. Some of the things like
Starting point is 01:07:57 she work all the time and then our schedules, you know. Well, you guys have to schedule this because it's important. Your relationship should be just as important as your job. And that's what I'll be telling her. Like, you know. Well, you guys have to schedule this because it's important. Your relationship should be just as important as your job. And that's what I'll be telling her.
Starting point is 01:08:08 Like, you know, like, let's go do something. Let's go out. It's like, oh, I'm so tired. I don't... Yeah, no. It's like, you don't never have no time for me. She's got to make it a priority.
Starting point is 01:08:19 But, you know... And I try to, but if she doesn't put the effort, then I, you know... I mean, it sounds to me like what you're telling me is that she seems like a very selfish person based off of everything that you've said. Yeah, I know how I feel, but when I say that, then I'm, you know, I'm wrong. Because you haven't really said anything positive.
Starting point is 01:08:38 I mean, I don't know, man. I don't, I don't, that's why I called you. I just don't know. Right. I think if you really, really feel like that and have nothing positive to say, take some time. Go to your place. All right. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:08:51 You sound so sad. That was the most depressing phone call I have heard in a long freaking time. I do really feel bad. You sound like somebody died. 15 years is a long time, man. Jesus Christ. All right. Ask E.
Starting point is 01:09:04 800-585-1051. If you need relationship advice, you can call at any time. Now, we got rumors on the way, Yee? Yes, but does Eric Benet have to say about Jay-Z's 444 album and his name being dropped on there? We got that for you. Alright, we'll get into that when we come back. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:09:20 The Breakfast Club. This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee. So Future is teaming up with Cher for Gap's fall campaign. It's called Meet Me in the Gap. Now it's an odd pairing, but let's see what you think about how this sounds. Sometimes I'm right, but I can be wrong My own beliefs are in my song Different strokes for different folks
Starting point is 01:09:59 And so on and so on and so on It's hard And everyday people So long and so on and so on and so on. And everyday people. And Cher said, I didn't know who Future was before this, but I knew it would be so fun to work with someone who was completely unlike me and who was young, really talented, and striving. Now Future said, it was cool to work with someone who's in the industry
Starting point is 01:10:20 but has such a different background and life from me. Our love for music really connected us. She's a true performer and a legend. All right, let's fart on that whole gap ad. That was trash. Yeah, that was pretty bad. Future needs to introduce Cher to Auto-Tune. All right?
Starting point is 01:10:34 Okay? Because that sounded really bad. All right? It's a weird pairing. Yeah, real weird. All right, Selena Gomez underwent a kidney transplant this summer and nobody knew about it. The donor was her best friend. She posted a picture after the surgery
Starting point is 01:10:49 of her and her kidney donor, Francia Reza. She said, I'm very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn't promoting my new music which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health.
Starting point is 01:11:06 And then for her friend, she said, there aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend, Francia. She gave me the ultimate gift. Y'all can't never fall out. Ever. Y'all got to be friends for life. Okay? That's a beautiful thing, though. You cross me, do me dirty.
Starting point is 01:11:20 I want my kidney back. I don't think you want to go through that again. Why not? That surgery again. I'll threaten it. I'll threaten it. Do me dirty. Depends on what you did. Depending on the offense. All right, I want my kidney back. I don't think you want to go through that again. I'll threaten it. I'll threaten it. Do me dirty. Depends on what you did. Depending on the offense. Alright, I want my kidney back. He can't have that back. Well, it sounds good.
Starting point is 01:11:31 It's a threat. Alright, now Kill Jay-Z. What did Eric Benet think of those lyrics? Okay, and here's what he had to say because there were a lot of rumors that Eric Benet was so upset he wanted to kill Jay-Z. Here's what he said about say, because there were a lot of rumors that Eric Benet was so upset he wanted to kill Jay-Z. Here's what he said about those rumors.
Starting point is 01:11:47 I'm in Cuba, chilling. When this whole thing goes down, I'm a manager. We're having dinner, and she shows me this little vlog. And apparently, while I was in Cuba, I was at Jay-Z's house, like, banging on his door, like, saying, Don't talk about my wife. You know, whatever. I don't know what it was. Fake upset. Crazy stuff.
Starting point is 01:12:07 All right, now how did he really feel about it? Here's what he had to say about Jay-Z's 444 album. But I think it was dope how he, lyrically, he really, you could hear the maturation and growth as a man, and admitting when he was wrong, and that's always a good thing. Has it boosted your album sales at all? Hey, man, it definitely boosted my Twitter activity.
Starting point is 01:12:28 All right. When's the last time Eric Benet wore shoes? He's always somewhere where he don't got to wear no shoes. Every time I've seen Eric Benet in my life, he's been barefoot. Oh, I never noticed. Deadass serious. I've never noticed. I've never really seen him around.
Starting point is 01:12:39 Deadass. Deadass be? Deadass. Deadass be. All right, well, I'm Angela Yee, and that's your Rumor Report. All right, thank you, Ms. Yee. Had enough of this country? Ever dreamt about starting your own?
Starting point is 01:12:50 I planted the flag. This is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Or maybe not. No country willingly gives up their territory. Oh, my God.
