We already know by the title of that episode. We got Togian on with us. Water. How you feeling, bro? Dude, yeah, I feel great. I'm stoked about this. This is way different than any podcast I ever done. So this will be really cool.

Well, bro, I'm pumped. I was especially pumped. You know, normally we have a hard time getting people on in the chair because people are like, we obviously talk about Jesus and people can think people can have a preconceived notion of like, oh, we're going to be mean or oh, we're going to do this. But it was cool that you were like wanting to do it. No, I mean, most podcasts I do, they just ask me again, again, like about a specific story that I've already told a hundred times or that video's already been on the internet and they've all seen it. And we're talking a lot about whatever, like gambling, drugs. like all this that I do and I have only ever talked about Jesus with Alex Eubanks and I love that podcast. I want to learn mostly learn more about it and I think nobody even the people that I do

podcast with and I'm friends with they never talk about Jesus. Yeah. So I think this is a really good opportunity for me to learn more about it. What do you think about Jesus? Oh my God. There's a lot of things about Jesus. It's an intimidating world because like I believe in God and I want to be Christian, but I have a hard time saying that out loud because then everyone's like, Togi's a Christian, but you do X, Y, Z, and I don't know enough about it. Like, you talk about it because you're like, you've done your research. You're very profound with your thought when it comes to Jesus. So like, it feels like you can confidently puff your chest and be like, I love Jesus. and I'm a Christian, but then I say it, it almost feels like, like God's a scary mother,

like, it's almost, the way I see it is like a strict dad, but he sees everything. Like, that guy saw when I did that line off that hooker or sent a picture of my to that girl. It's like he sees everything, and it feels like the day that I fully become Christian is the day that I'm supposed to be perfect, which I know everyone says, no, like, you know, it's like, but it's like, then how the fuck I'm on I'm going to say, I believe in you and I accept you as like my creator. And then I just like disrespect everything you have to say. Because I trust me, I'm trying to be perfect. Like you don't think everyone's like, I don't know, Togi does all this bad. I want to get off the drugs. I want to stop doing like all that like when you're coming off a bender. I don't feel good about

all the million things that we did during that bender. But I want to work towards that. But it's just like it's scary. It's hard. And so that's why I have a hard time with my faith. Because I don't know. It's just very intimidating. Yeah. So what does your lifestyle look like right now? My life? Okay, dude. Well, I guess to paying you, I'll tell you exactly what I did in the last month. Like it's very, the month before last, I was dead sober, was working out a ton, taking a lot of steroids, doing a big transformation for a video. And then I finished that video. And then I went out to do the, a David Dobrick vlog in a, supposed to be in Vegas for one day. I ended up in Vegas for like, I don't even really remember.

Like maybe two, three weeks was doing a ton of like, you name it, like cocaine, Xanax, all, everything under the sun that you Vegas happens in Vegas. So I like don't remember a lot of it. And then I was like, all right, we got to get locked in, go to Utah to like do a charity event. So then it's like full 360. You got to be sober. donating money. And then after that, I went on another gambling bender in the last week. I streamed for like 50 hours just of gambling. Yeah, like one of the stream.

Like, I don't know, going to bed at noon. And then now is the recovery week. I'm sober again trying to like, you caught me on, I think, like day three of sobriety. So my thoughts really clear up around like day five or so. But it's a pretty much chronic cycle of, of trying to lock in. And like the ideal target is like 30 days sober. And then like it's like things really start getting good up here.

But it just doesn't happen like that. So usually it's like two weeks of partying and filming. Two weeks of being hung over. Two weeks of editing. Do it all over again. Yeah. Which is not, it's a fun life. It's great.

But I am working towards mixing it up a little bit. Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure. I think, bro, I mean, I think what you just said is so, I think it's just real and I think it's good because Jesus says in Matthew chapter 5, Jesus himself says, he says, blessed, blessed of the pure and heart, for they shall see God. So the reward for being honest is intimacy with Jesus.

And like, if you're saying you want to discover, like bro, a lot of people look at you right now and be like, why is this guy airing out all of his business? You know what I mean? Like you're airing out everything you're doing. You're like, I'm doing this thing. I'm doing this. I did the line of cocaine on this woman.

I did this over here. But if you can't be honest with yourself about the things that you're doing good or bad, then how could you be honest with God? You know what I mean? So I think that's like just the first step. The fact that you're just opening honest talking about it. When you say like, how can I be honest with God? Like, what is that?

When you're being honest with God, what is that exactly? look like. Well, it looks like what you just said earlier. You were just like, I think you said you view God as a strict dad who sees and knows everything, which the back half of that is true. He does see and know everything. So like imagine if I knew everything about you and then you weren't telling me the things that you were doing good or bad. You weren't inviting me to things. You weren't like doing that. We wouldn't have a relationship, even though I knew everything about you. Like you had to do your part by opening yourself up and letting me in in order for us to have a

In the same way, God knows everything about Togi, but in order for you to grow the personal relationship with God, you have to open up to him, talk to him, invite him into that, right? So you say, like, that's been my biggest struggle, and what I want to learn more about is, like, how can I have a better relationship with God? Because it's like he's loving,

me from afar. Like I, my life is nothing but blessed beyond my wildest imagination. I've been given just the perfect amount of struggle in all my endeavors so that I fail and learn and it's building me like perfectly. But I've never been able to, how do I describe this? It's like sometimes it feels like sometimes it feels like almost. almost like I'm the devil's favorite. Like, it seems as if, and I don't know if it's because I can grab attention and I'm also

very, you know, like insecure, easily influenced and then I can like grab attention super easily on top of that. But I've had situations where I feel, and it's always when I'm at my lowest, trying to make myself better. Like I've literally like seen like devils. or like weird creatures like watching over me while I sleep. Like I'll be or like I'll be in my room having like, I'll like see them with my eyes.

And it's like, okay, so like, whoa, you're really close to me. Where to is Jesus at? Like I'm trying to have a conversation with God. And I believe in him because of the way that my existence, like everything about I a few months ago overdosed, on meth, went to the hospital and I was having a seizure. and I didn't die. And I have done things that I'm really proud of since then.

So it's like, okay, great. I think God exists, but why is it so out of touch? I've never been able to feel like I'm close to him. I never had a conversation with God. I never. And I'm consistently putting myself out there. Like since Alex Eubanks put me onto the idea of Jesus is 100% real. And like, I don't know, you got to like build a relationship with him.

When my life is good, I'm thanking God trying to talk to him. When my life is bad, I'm asking God for help. Crickets, no matter good or bad. It's always like, where the fuck he's at? Yeah. So, like, the Bible says that even the demons believe in Jesus. So when you say you believe in God, what would make you different than the demons? If even the demons believe in Jesus, like, that scripture rocked my heart because I'm like, okay, I say I believe.

And if I'm being honest, you know, I'm just trying to be blunt. I have this newfound bluntness and like fire instilled in me just because of all the tragedies I've been going on in the past few weeks. There's been so much craziness in the world. But like there's guys and girls with I Love Jesus in their Instagram bio and Bible versus in their Instagram bio. And they're out here sleeping every night with random people. They're out here doing a bunch of drugs and all this other stuff.

And let me ask you this question, do you? If you saw my videos on the internet and then you can, came over and you spent a week with me and I was living the life that you live, would you think I was a Christian? No, and that's one of the things I, that's one of the reasons I resented Christianity for so long is because I get a hundred DMs a day talking about you need Jesus. And I look at this, I go to this person's page and I'm thinking, you don't look very Christian at all. Matter of fact, it looks like you got more problems than me. So why are you a lot of Christians and it really irritates me, act like they got the answers. They act like high and mighty towards me because

they identify very strongly as a Christian and they got the answers and you need this. And it's like, it looks like to me, look at my life and look at yours, it looks like you got none of the answers and I hate that you're trying to tell me you need this, you need this. But then on the flip side, I talk to someone like you and you're very well informed on what you're talking about. So I listen to you, but not all these people, but it seems like 90% of the people. It's like, you say Jesus loves me. So does the crackhead on a street with the sign. So it gets really, really off-putting.

And I think that's one of the biggest things. I was talking to one of my friends about God who's very depressed. He tried to end his life a few years ago. He is a diehard atheist. And his whole thing is like, dude, what about all these motherfuckers that love God? and they're a crackhead or they say they love God and they're, you know, it's like whatever it might be. There's all these people and it's a huge turnoff to Christianity entirely.

Yeah, for sure. So like I think you answer the question. Like if I was living the life you're living right now and you watch my videos, you would look at me like behind close words and be like, bro, you are not a Christian. Like you are wicked. Like you're out here telling people you're a Christian. And then behind closed doors, you're living the total opposite of a life. So I think that's what separates the person who says that they love.

Jesus, but they continuously are a crackhead. The person that says that they love Jesus, but they're raping innocent children. They would not be a Christian. The things I do for God are not what get me into heaven. So the thing that gets me into heaven or relationship for an eternity with God is my faith in what he did on the cross. So the reality is that we live in the wicked world, sin, suffering, everything. L.A. fires happen. Tragedies happen. People die. War occurs. But then you also have murders. theft, you know, crazy wickedness in the world. Because of that, it's sin. We deserve death the same way a murderer deserves to go to jail. Because we have to take accountability for it. That's justice, right? If you murdered someone and I was the police officer and I arrested you and then I took you to get

coffee afterwards, that wouldn't be just. You would need to be punished. So the same way, because we are inherently sinful, we deserve to die. But Jesus, God, being so loving because he loves you and I enough. This is a crazy part. He doesn't need us. He created us because he wanted us, not because he needed us. And he died for us. So he took the place that you and I deserve to take with our own life. And he defeated sin and death, something that you and I can't avoid. He lived the perfect life that we can't live. He died the death that we deserve to pay for with our sin and our life. And then he rose from the death three days later, defeating sin and death that you and I can't defeat. and if we put our faith that what he did

happen was true and is greater than sin, greater than death, then we can be saved. So this idea that I'm putting my faith in Jesus doesn't look like, oh, well, I just believe and I got the Bible verse in my bio,

so I'm good, or, oh, I believe, and I go to church on Sunday, so that means I'm going to heaven. Absolutely not. Like, when I do things for the Lord, it is evidence that I have faith, right? So I'll give you an example.

Before I was a Christian, I was addicted to porn. I was a dick of porn from the fifth grade until I was 17 years old. I would, bro, I would be in, I had to watch porn. And then when I became a Christian, I don't watch porn anymore. Now, am I perfect? No, I haven't, me personally, I haven't watched porn since that day. The Bible tells us that we can't avoid temptation, though.

So the reality is, is Bryce has sinful desires in his heart. I'm not married. Do I desire to have sex? Sure. But I'm waiting until marriage to have sex because I believe God's way is better. I believe God is protecting me physically and spiritually. So that's why I choose to wait. Do I have a desire to watch porn? Sure. But I choose not to watch porn because I know that's not love. What Jesus did for me is love. Sex on a screen is not love. And I'm not going to consume that. And it rots my brain and it ruins my life. I'm not going to do that.

Or maybe it's something like drugs. Well, do I want to do drugs? Well, I want to feel. something and I know if I do some drugs I'm going to feel something but the only way I'm going to keep feeling what the drugs give me is if I keep going back to them. The reality is that every human being has a hole in their heart. That's why they do the things that they do. That's why people watch the porn. That's why people have the sex. That's why people gamble money. That's why people do the whole nine is because they got a hole in their heart and they're trying to fill it. But they have to go back to that thing and that thing and that thing to keep getting it. And then at one point they just know people know like i i feel like if you could be honest with me and say you know what i i

know that gambling will never satisfy me maybe you do it and maybe this isn't the case but people do things because it's familiar or maybe because you enjoy yeah i um am full like that's why i've always um and i'm not saying god is my answer maybe he is maybe isn't but there's always something like not completely there for me like and i don't know you. know exactly what it is. I have a few guesses. And that's why I'm also looking into God as like, maybe this is the answer. Because I see, uh, what's that mom you just had on your podcast? Cancer four times. Oh yeah, Dylan. And he's talking to me on his screen. I guess you can't believe everything you see on social media. You met him. I don't know. It's like he is stoked on life.

And like one of, from my eyes, one of the happiest people I've ever seen. And, and, His deck of hands, I would say he's almost definitely happier than me, but he got dealt some bullshit. And I keep getting blessed with all these. Another thing, a question I have is like, my whole life, I don't know the exact like rules and regulations of this whole thing. But it seems like a lot, a lot of the things I do are like, you God. And for some reason, God saved my life.

the night I overdose or maybe it was luck but then God like every I keep seeing these unlimited blessings like non-stop blessed every day but then there's the person that's way way way higher up than me morally and they live life like you know like the loving mothers and then they're they're getting beat down by the world or maybe they die in a car accident it's like why did that person get just nonstop and I get blessed even though it doesn't feel like I deserve all the blessings that I continue to get. Yeah, you may view them as blessings where they could be distractions. You said earlier, sometimes I feel like the devil's best friend.

If you gain the whole world, you don't need God. You don't need God. You have all the money. You have all the cars. If you have all the women, if you have all the fame, you don't need God in this lifetime. You got everything. But the Bible says, what does it profit a man? What does it gain toge if he gets the whole world and loses his soul?

And the Bible tells you, don't fear the one that can kill the body. Fear the one that can kill the body and the soul. There's only one guy that can do that, and that's God. So, like, when you have instances where, you know, you say, hey, I'm doing all these crazy things that contradict the Bible and contradict what Jesus would say is okay. And I feel like I'm blessed. but then you have people who are following Jesus, who are getting beat down by the world.

My answer is, I don't know. We live in a wicked suffering world that isn't fair. It's not fair because we live in a sinful world. I don't know why some of the best moral people get beat down by life, but I do know we live in this sinful world, and this sinful world's not fair. The sinful world doesn't care about anyone. The reality is the devil doesn't care about you.

That's why he's allowing you to keep making the decisions you're making. because if Togi keeps doing the things that he's doing, he doesn't need God right now. But then the reality is, is when your timer's up and you go into the ground, all of the earthly possessions that you have can't go with you. And when you stand before God, the same way I'll stand before God,

everything you've said and done will testify against you and testify against me, which means we can't run from our actions. Now imagine being in the courtroom and the judge reads off everything Togi's ever done in his lifetime. And then the judge says, but that's okay, I'm going to go to jail for you so that you can live. That doesn't make sense.

That's a weird, radical, rebellious love that's unheard of. And that's what Jesus does, is he does something so contradictory to what the world says. The world says, if I hit you, you hit me harder. If you do me wrong, I'm going to do you wrong ten times worse. That's what the world says. Jesus says, if you hit me, I'll give you the other cheat. Don't return evil for evil. or return good for evil.

It's interesting. He brings this weird ideology that's like totally contradictory to what the world teaches. And so like my satisfaction comes from there are things that Bryce wants, but I don't always get what I want. Because I believe in God and I pray,

God, give me this thing. And if God doesn't give me that thing, I can't say, well, God hates me because he's not giving me what I want. Maybe I should say, well, maybe God loves me because he's protecting me from something that will actually hurt me. God doesn't always give Bryce what he wants. He gives me what I need. He gives me what I need to take care of me. That's why he says in Matthew chapter 6,

he says, don't be anxious about anything. Don't worry about your life. If God feeds the birds of the air and they don't have to work for their food and God gives the lilies of the field beauty in their color and beauty in their health, the lilies and the flowers of the field, how much more would he take care of you and me because we're human beings? We're more valuable than the birds of the were more valuable than the flowers of the field. If God takes care of them and they don't have to do anything for, how much more is he going to take care of you and me? So, but it's like so ambiguous to me like,

God is, you would, I go to jail for me for all the things that Togi did. Where is the, I guess what I'm asking you is what does it mean? Where's the line? like you whatever have sinned X amount of times like at what point is it is it no like how do you determine everyone says like anything God like how do you get into heaven I guess is what I'm asking you yeah faith in Jesus faith that what he did on the cross was sufficient like I said earlier someone has to do the time you and I are going to pay the price for our sin with our life when we die we deserve eternal punishment because we slap God in the face every time we choose sin over

him. So because you and I are going to pay the price of our life, instead of us paying the price, we are putting our faith that Jesus Christ's death instead of our death pays the price and covers our sin. So it pays the bill. But it's like, we're not, we're not perfect. He's perfect. I'm not perfect and it's like, he's paying the price for my sin. How do I, how do I say this? Why wouldn't I guess that's like the line that you what we talked about a little bit earlier. Why wouldn't I just keep fucking off and doing all the bad things that I do?

And then it's like Jesus saves. Like Jesus got my back and it's cool because I know he's my goat and he's got my back. Yeah, bro. So like the scriptures actually talk about this in the book of Hebrews chapter 10. So he says. He got the receipts on on day. Got the receipts, bro.

We're ready. He says hold on. Let me pull this thing up because I'm pulling this out. For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. If I punch you in the face and I apologize and I apologize, I say, I'm sorry, Toby, for hitting you. You'd say, all right, it's okay.

If I punch you again five minutes later and I'm like, bro, I'm so sorry, dude, I'm the worst, bro. Please forgive me. You'd probably be like, bro, all right, I don't understand why you did that. And if I just kept punching you over and over and apologizing, at some point you'd be like, dude, you're not even sorry. You don't even care. All right?

Because I'm putting my faith that Jesus Christ, blood, his death, has paid the price for my sins. I do not say, well, now that Christ forgives me, I can just go sin and do whatever I want because he forgives me. Absolutely not. Say, I give my heart to Jesus Christ. I believe in Jesus Christ. I know it's a fact that I'm not strong enough to follow. I'm going to sin a thousand more times even though I don't want to. I, I would like to get away from that. But now it's like, all right, now we're because I gave my heart to Jesus and then I accidentally punched him in a face.

Or I made the conscious decision to punch him in the face, but like, I couldn't help it. Yeah. Repentance is this idea in scriptures that is preached by Jesus. Repent for the kingdom of heaven and say, have you ever seen those guys seen it on the sidewalk with the signs that say, repent?

Like, repent or you're going to burn in hell? Like those like street preacher guys? Yeah, yeah. So repentance means to literally turn the opposite direction from the life that you were living. So Bryce was living a life of sin, living a life of foolishness, living a life of selfishness. And when I put my faith in Jesus, I did a 180, turn the opposite direction of only living

that lifestyle, and now I'm running towards him. Now here's the reality. The Bible says, the righteous man falls seven times when it gets back up. That is not an excuse to sin willingly. There's a difference in Togi, knowing the truth, and then sinning willingly, knowing the truth, versus you doing your best to chase Jesus, follow Jesus, and accidentally falling. Does that make sense? Yeah. Because the righteous man, when it says the righteous man falls seven times he gets back up, when scripture is saying sometimes screw ups are a part of the process. Now, I'm not

intentionally trying to screw up. Bryce is not. Bryce knows what Jesus has done for me, and I want to do as much as I can to love him back. I owe him my life. I owe him my life. I owe him my everything. So I don't know if you know a little bit about my story, but I was going to take my life when I was 17 years old. God stopped me from taking my life. Supernaturally encountered me inside of a waffle house, bro. to have my last meal. I saw that podcast clip. Yeah, bro. Crazy stuff. So I knew God loved me. And because he stopped me from saving my life the same way you believe that God kept you alive when you overdosed. I don't think that's a coincidence. Me personally, I don't think that's luck. I don't believe in luck. I believe that God does things on purpose for a purpose. And that's why he

created you. God created you on purpose for a purpose. You're not an accident. And so now my purpose is to glorify God and everything that I do. And so my goal is a believer is to do my my best to repent, turn away from my sin, and follow Jesus. Now here's the reality. I have to choose every day to follow Jesus. I don't just, Bryce doesn't just repent one time. Every day I wake up, I have the choice to do what Bryce wants to do or do what God wants me to do. Every day. And I have to choose faithfully to do that thing, to follow Jesus, to give him my all, to do my best, to love him. And you said earlier, this is what I love you said. You said, I think God is a strict dad. How about God just is your dad?

And the reason I listen to the Bible, and the reason why I obey God, it's not because I have to. God's not threatening me with a gun. I do it because I want to, because I love him. The same way you listen to your parents, not because you have to, it's because you want to, because you love them, because you know they've lived a longer life, they've lived more experiences,

and you know that deep down they want the best for you. In the same way, I know God is not trying to be a cosmic buzzkill when he's telling me to wait until marriage to have sex. He's trying to protect me spiritually because I'm going to emotionally bond myself to people when I have a bunch of sex. He's trying to protect me physically because if I have sex with a bunch of people, I'm going to get a bunch of STDs and sicknesses and diseases. So maybe God's way is better for me. Or maybe God's trying to protect me when he doesn't want me to get drunk because it damages my liver physically. And he knows health is important to the physical body.

But also mentally, like when you drink, your decisions are warranted and you're kind of thrown off. not sober and you and you don't think straight. Maybe God's trying to protect me. Maybe God's trying to protect me in many ways. It's all just a perspective shift. And like the reality is, is that people have put this idea in your brain of who God is. He's a strict dictator who really just hates Togi and wants Togi to be a robot for him. All right. Now imagine if I let people define who Togi was for me. Imagine if I, Bryce, let the internet, all the clips people made about you, all the opinions they had to say about togi define togy that would not be fair to you rather if if i wanted to know you i would hang out with you and spend time with you and and have meals with you

and then i would realize maybe a lot of the things people say about togi aren't true yeah dude you got this is uh you got the answers i like this is i've never had somebody explain things um i've asked a lot of questions about god uh like on snapchat or ask somebody one of my friends as religious Ask a question and it's always very ambiguous like in the responses. Like kind of just like trust the process. This makes an incredible amount of sense. At what. So you,

we have, you believe that God's got the answers for you. He's got like, he's making all the right decisions for you. And that is on the basis of evidence throughout your life that he has led you down the correct path. And he, when he died as Jesus and then came back and beat sin,

that he's like got to figure out. Like he's the perfect man. Yeah, well, I even bought before, before creation, right? It's like, we believe that God created us, right? So we have to trust that he has our best intentions at hand because he created us. He's always existed.

He doesn't need us. So he created us. We have to assume he has a best chance possible. Now, when we read scripture, the Bible tells us, according to Christianity, how the earth began. God created man and woman, Adam and Eve, and God's original design for mankind.

was not to live in sin. God didn't create sin. Does that make sense? Like, God did not cause the suffering. God created Adam and Eve, man and woman. They came together. And in the Garden of Eden, it was perfection. It was the symbolism of relationship with God. Every day, Adam and Eve walked with God daily. They had friendship with God. That's what it looked like. Friendship with God and everything was perfect. Adam and Eve named the animals. They had dominion over the animals. None of the animals ate each other. Imagine like a sheep and a lion eating side by side in the grass. Like we're talking. We're talking. talking about a perfect reality here. And then Satan comes in here and he questions God's character. Because God says, you can eat of any tree in the guard, just don't eat of the tree of the

knowledge of good and evil. Just don't eat from that tree. That tree has the knowledge of good and evil in it. And Satan comes and he says, did God really say that? He just makes you doubt. Did God really say not to do that thing? And then he went, hmm. And he goes, yeah, because the devil's like, yeah, because he knows that you're going to be greater than him. God doesn't want you to become God Because he knows if you eat that tree, you're going to become like him. He doesn't want you to be like him. He wants you to be subject to him. Place that doubt.

So Adam and Eve, disobey God. Sin enters into the world. Because they disobeyed God because they had free will. You and I have the choice to choose to follow God or not. In the same way, even though they were living in a perfect creation with a perfect God and perfect relationship, they still had the free will to choose to follow him. And in that moment, they chose to reject him.

And for the first time, they realized they were naked. They were naked the whole time in the garden, but because their eyes were focused on Jesus, it didn't matter what was going on down here. Does that make sense? Yeah. Because they took a bite of the fruit, they're now looking at themselves.

Their shame, their guilt, and they hide from God. And so because of sin, because of their disobedience, they deserve death. But God's original design was for us to be in relationship with him. He originally designed you and I to be in relationship with him. How, if you were to put like a percentage on your faith, How much do you believe that God is your creator and loves you and all this good stuff? If I could put on a scale of 1 to 10, how confident that Jesus Christ is Lord, that when I die, I'm going to stand before him and be in heaven.

I'm going to put a 10 out of 10 on that. And I think anyone, I'm not just saying that because I feel prideful. I think that Christianity in the Bible gives a case that is so profoundly the truth that you can be confident in that way. And that's, I guess the first time I, well, the very first time I ever, like, looked into God was, I forget what his name is. Damn, I should not forget that. But either way, his point was like, it's worth your time to believe in God because, like, worst case scenario and you're wrong.

If you don't believe in God and you're wrong, then it's, like, a really bad situation. So that's, like, pretty far from the 10 out of 10. And then the next level was UBanks, how many, he explained it to me that like, either way, you're taking a leap of faith. Like, he's not 100% sure that God is real, but he's also not 100% sure that he isn't. Like, there's enough evidence that he would exist. And he had me watch some movie about like the whole history of Jesus stuff. And their whole thing was like, yeah, more likely than not, like facts based on history and science

and all this good stuff, more likely than not. Jesus actually rose from the dead. But how did you get yourself to the point where we're talking 10 out of 10? There's no doubt, nothing on the table that you're 100%. Because right now, I feel reasonably confident in God, but not like you're, I guess you've put a lot more effort into your relationship with God. I don't really know where to start. But how are we at 10 out of 10?

Well, I can't, I can tell you confidently that I'm a 10 out of 10 when I die. I'm going to be with Christ in heaven. But to say that I don't ever get doubts would be foolish. I have my doubts. I go through hardship and I go through trial. How easy is it to feel alone when the world's coming against you and you're going through some junk? And that's when I have to trust the scriptures.

So for example, earlier you said, well, I feel like I'm crying out to God and I feel I see the devil and I see demons, but I don't see God. Where's God at? Well, that's like the same idea as like kids coming up to me all the time I'm saying, man, Bryce, I just, I feel like I can't hear God. He's not talking to me. And I'm like, when's the last time you read your Bible?

And they're like, I've read my Bible for four months. I'm like, okay, no wonder you can't hear God talking to you right now. Like this book, this Bible, the scriptures, imagine before Jesus leaving into heaven. But imagine like, imagine this. Your dad was about to pass away. And before he died, he left you a love letter to look out for you. Left you a love letter, how to live life. left you a love letter of what it looks like

to live a life that God originally designed and to learn from past mistakes, learn from the Israelites being stupid in here and rebelling against God and worshiping false gods and doing a bunch of stuff, having a bunch of sex with random people, all the crazy stuff's in here.

This book's like straight rated R, bro. This is rated R. But he's left a love letter for us to know what it was like to be intended. So when I have my doubts, when I'm having these feelings, emotions, feelings are good servants. right? Like if you punch me and I'm hurting, that's a good servant that I'm probably hurt.

But it's not a good master. It's not a good way to live your life. That's why, for example, in marriage, when God designed marriage, the man is the head of the household because men are hardwired more logically and women are hardwired more emotionally. It's not that our emotions are a bad thing, but logic is greater than emotions. The truth is, like, I could love you and say, hey, bro, I love you. And if we hadn't seen each other in four months, you might say, well, I don't feel like Bryce loves me. But the truth is, like I could love you. But the truth is, I could, I than the fact is that I love you, even if I don't see you. You see what I'm saying? It's like, I have to trust the truth over my feelings sometimes. But that's what I'm asking is like,

how did you determine that that book is the truth? Yeah, bro. I mean, I looked through, again, like historical evidence, like looking at the validity of the scriptures, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the gospels that we read, the life of Jesus Christ. These guys were eyewitnesses of what Jesus saw. They witnessed this stuff. So I'm, I, I trust it and how long it's been throughout history and passed down and passed down. And it's not the fact that these guys saw it. It's the fact that these guys died for the fact that Jesus was the Lord. People don't die for something that they don't wholeheartedly believe in.

You get what I'm saying? There are tons of people throughout history that have died for this. Even nowadays, today people in the Middle East are getting murdered for their faith. And they're dying for this fact. These guys didn't even see Jesus. You get what I mean? Like there's modern day people, Christians in the Middle East, that are getting murdered. for their faith, and they're dying for it.

And they didn't even see Christ physically. So through history, through historical evidence, I believe that this book is valid. I believe it's true. But also through evidence in my life. We believe in things for two reasons. Historical evidence and experiential evidence. I believe in Jesus not only for the historical evidence,

but because of the experiences in my life. And the times that I've tried to do things on my own way, it flops and blows up in my face. But the times I trust this, I have something that you can't find, that no human being can find in money, drugs, sex, fame, power, and that's peace. I have peace. I get scared of the idea of like, and I don't, it's not like, I don't know you very well,

but it seems as if ever since you have, and I'm not, and by a note, like, everything you're saying makes perfect sense of me. I'm fully, you're explaining this incredibly well, but it's almost, like it's scary in the idea that you've given your life to Christ and now it feels like your life is spreading the gospel and talking about God. It almost seems like I don't want to be stripped of my creativity that it feels like God has blessed me with because all of a sudden now I 100% believe in this and then it's like almost like my unique identity is stripped and now I'm just a follower of Christ's follower of this book.

And it seems like you're a very happy person, but I wouldn't want to be in a situation like you where I feel like that's what I'm doing is I'm spreading the gospel. You know what I mean? Yeah, bro. You don't have to be a pastor, be a Christian. Like the Bible tells all Christians,

hey, share your faith. It's called the Great Commission, going to all the world and preach the gospel, all the nations. Now that looks different for all people. There are Christians that work at Planet Fitness behind the front desk. that are sharing Jesus with everyone that walks in the door.

They're not a pastor. They're just doing what Jesus told them to do. There are waiters and waitresses. They get to serve people in such a way that people go, man, why do you treat us the way that you do? Like, we've been to tons of restaurants, but you in particular, you serve us in such a way that we just feel radically loved.

Like, why do you do that? What's just Jesus in me? Like, he came and served me and loved me, and so that same love he showed me, I just want to show to other people. So the reality is that when you put your faith in Christ, God has given you unique talents and gifts that I don't have. The difference is, are you going to use those talents and gifts to glorify yourself or glorify God?

So it could be like, for example, like the gym. The gym is not a bad thing. But if Bryce makes working out about Bryce getting shredded and wanting people to look at Bryce in a sexy way and wanting people to look at Bryce and go, oh, look at how great Bryce is, I would never find satisfaction and peace and go to the gym. But if Bryce goes to the gym because I want to honor God with my body, I want to be healthy, there's nothing wrong. we're wanting to look fit and be fit.

But if I want to do it because I want to honor God in my body, and the way I treat the gym is, is it a loving and honoring way to God, and the way I interact with people at the gym, and it's a loving, an honoring way in God, people are going to watch the way I live my life and actions and deed and go, there's something different about him than that guy over there, and what is it?

I want to point people to Christ in my actions. You know what I mean? I want everything that I do, even the way I tip the bill at a restaurant. I want to tip the bill in such a way where people go, why is that the case? Like, I can't tell you the amount of times that I've been in a restaurant because I just like talking about Jesus. That's my thing.

This is my thing. I like talking about Jesus. I love it. I'll talk to Jesus with a waiter or waitress at a restaurant and they hate it, bro. They hate religion. They hate Jesus. And so they treat me bad. They don't refill my drink.

They bring my food out cold. They don't check up on us a lot. And then I give them a good tip. And then they wonder why, because they know that they purposefully treated me bad because I talked to them about Jesus and they didn't like Jesus. They treated me bad, but I gave them a good tip. I gave them something that they didn't deserve. I gave them something that they didn't deserve.

And I can't tell you the amount of times that I've seen waiters and waitresses come out of the restaurant going, did you mean to do this? Did you mean to put this on here? I went, yeah, absolutely. Why did you do that? I only had this one woman go, I didn't refill your drink one time. I brought your food out cold on purpose. And you gave me a really good tip.

Why did you do that? Well, Jesus loves you. And he loved me. Jesus loved people that he knew wouldn't love him back. You know, Jesus in the scriptures washed his disciples feet. Twelve disciples' feet. One of those disciples betrayed him. Judas.

He still washed his feet. He loved Judas the same way. He loved the guys that were going to follow him. You said, like, are you going to use your blessings, your abilities to glorify yourself, or you're going to glorify God? And it feels like I don't I don't want to do either. Like I want to make art or content that makes people laugh, that makes people inspired, you know, that gives people just like some mental peace just for like a couple hours, whatever it might be. But that's not glorifying God whatsoever.

But wouldn't you think it's like I get hundreds of millions of views a month? you would think God would want me to like utilize whatever my platform for you know glorifying God but it feels like almost uh was it like a catch 22 like I don't got a platform if I'm talking glorifying God I only got a platform if I'm making people laugh and why did I get that platform if I can only use it to make people laugh well maybe that's what you think maybe I mean what does God want for togy you know right now we're just a weird just talking about about who is God? Is God real? Does God love me? Does God things like that? And it's like now that we know that what does God want for Togi? And I think that's what we have to figure out is if I'm going to

follow this guy who claims to be God, what does God want for me? And I can tell you right now, God wants every human being to use their gifts to glorify God. That just looks in different ways. Does God have a sense of humor? Absolutely. I think he had a sense of humor. I think Jesus totally had a sense of humor. But that God's not trying to strip you away from your creativity or wanting to make art or wanting to make people laugh. But it's about how you go about those things, right? How do you go about those things? How do you go about making people laugh?

Do you put someone else down to make someone laugh or do you make the joke on you? You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Like the art you make, is it derogatory? Are you going to make a painting of a butt naked lady that's going to make people go watch porn? You know? Or you're going to make something cool that's creative and unique and different. Okay.

You know, like there are things that I do brushing my teeth that, that doesn't necessarily glorify God, but it doesn't glorify the devil. Man, I'm just brushing my teeth. There's another wrong with me brushing my teeth. It's the wrong with me brushed my teeth. Whether I do it, you know, sideways or I don't know if people do it vertical,

but, you know, I'm just brushing my teeth. And so God is giving you creativity because he's giving you a different mind than I have. You think differently than I think in a unique way and a beautiful way that's how God's designed you to glorify him in that way. But I think my biggest indication,

for me personally is the things that I do, the actions that I do, the jokes that I make are people going to look at me and say, I want to be more like that guy. What does he have that I don't have? Or I don't know if I want to be like that guy. I don't know if what he has is genuine. You know, if I'm doing a bunch of crazy stuff, but I claim to be a Christian, people go, I don't know if I want to, I like that God. Because that's who God is. If God's like that, I don't want that. You know what I mean? So it's like, what? What does God want for Togi? And how can I currently use my gifts to glorify God?

You know, maybe? You know what? It's like, it's so crazy. God's not asking you to become a pastor overnight. You know, if you put full faith in Jesus Christ, maybe a win for Togi tomorrow is maybe you just didn't cuss as much as you did the day before. That might be the win. And maybe the day after that, maybe it's, Togi was sober for seven days.

And that's the win. It's baby steps, bro. It's like right now if I did five pushups and I'm expecting them to have a physician. Zeke like yours, I'd be a fool. Be a fool. It takes time. You got to build that muscle, bro. It's called sanctification. The process of being made holy. Every day, I'm becoming more like Jesus.

I don't become Jesus overnight, and I will never be like Jesus, but I want to be like him. And so every day I'm becoming closer and closer to be like him. And that's the steps. Even when I learned, like I used to not be wise with money, and now I want to be wise with money because God's blessed few resources. And I want to not only be a good steward of what God has given me, but I want to be able to bless other people.

I want to be able to help the homeless. I want to be able to bless the waiter waitress at the restaurant. I want to be able to do things special for my friends and family. I want to be a good steward of what God has given me. Because when we choose not to honor God and everything that we do, we're basically just slapping God in the face and saying, I don't care that you gave me these things. I don't care that you gave me my body.

Even with health, that's why I started getting in the gym. Was because I was like, I'm eating horribly, I'm lazy, and I'm slapping God in the face and saying, I don't care that you've given me a body. I don't care that you've given me a purpose. I was going to slap you in the face. And I got convicted one day and I was like, I need to honor God with my body.

Like I get this one body in this one life. I need to honor him. Everything that I do, I want to give glory to God. That was dope. I'll, uh, that was the first time it's ever like,

for me, someone said something and it really like, it like, it clicked and it was very, uh, it makes me feel a lot more comfortable. like, I don't know, like, identifying as a Christian because it's always been, like, just straight up, like, this is way too overwhelming and stressful to try and be, like, whatever, perfect.

But the idea that it's a physique that you're building is like every day we're working more and more towards that goal. that makes me feel a thousand times more comfortable in this whole process. And also, like, it gives me hope that I can work in the right direction. Whereas before, it was like, I want to be a better person, but I can't be perfect. So I shouldn't even God because it's just too much. And I'll never be there. And the fact that I'm supposed to be there is makes me like, dude, you then.

Because it's too much. I'll never be like that. So that was really cool. appreciate you sharing that. It really brings me a lot of comfort and I'm more excited about Christianity as a whole just from that one sentence. Yeah. Let me give you some piece because this statement set me free.

We live in a world where you have to earn things from people. You got to work for people to like you. You got to work for people to love you. You got to earn their respect, things like that. So there's this mindset where it's like, I've got to get God to love me. Like I've got to work, work, work. And it was like what you said at the beginning. It's like, I got to be perfect and I can't be perfect. I'm not perfect. And I love what my friend, uh, Jude Smith said. He said, the thing that God wants from us the most is brokenness because he can work with brokenness. He can't work with someone that already thinks are perfect. That's pride. That's the original sin. Man thinking they could be

better than God. That's pride. He can't work with pride. He can work with brokenness. And for the longest time it was I did things because I felt like I had to but don't try hard to do things for God just try hard loving Jesus because you'll find yourself naturally honoring God more when you're just doing your best to love him as much as you can like I'm going to read my Bible because I love God and I want to hear what he has to say for me today like I when I tried hard not sinning when Bryce tries hard to not do something, that's when I screw up the most. When Bryce is in his own strength, trying so hard not to do something the most. But when my eyes are on Jesus and I'm trying to love Jesus and I'm loving him, I naturally find myself doing the things I was trying to do

when I was doing it by myself. Does that make sense? So like my goal is to try to do my best to love Jesus as much as possible because the Bible says you will know them by their fruits. Like I said earlier. If I said I was a Christian in my mouth, but my actions didn't prove it, you would say, dang, you don't love Jesus. But if you see my actions and your new friends, they start seeing the new joy you carry because of the faith you have in Jesus. They start seeing the new self-control you carry because of the new faith you have in Jesus. They start seeing this newfound love and this servanthood and this kindness that you have. They're going to be like, dang, Togi, what happened to you? What's cereal you eating? You know, what are you doing? What books are you reading? You're just like,

dude, I'm going to be honest. I'm following Jesus heart, and he's giving me this joy I was looking for in the gambling. I was looking for the peace and the drugs. He's giving me this joy that I was looking for and all these other things, so I don't have to do these things anymore because I'm getting it from him. He's my source.

He's my source. And people are going to be like, whoa, I want what you have. This is my favorite scripture. This is the last scripture I'll read to you because I can talk about this stuff all the time. First Peter, I don't know why I looked at. First Peter 315. it says, honor Christ, the Lord is holy, and be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks for

the hope inside of you, but do it with genomes respect. What that means is, people are going to ask Togi, why did you stop doing the things that you were doing? Why do you treat me in a different way that's better? Why do you love me the way that you love me? Why are you not doing this thing that you used to do? People are going to ask Togi for the hope that you have now when you fully follow Jesus because it's going to do something in you. No person can fully follow Jesus and not be changed. So when you put your faith in Jesus, it's going to

change you in a radical, magnificent way. Sure, there's going to be people that aren't going to want to associate you anymore. That's the reality. Because people don't like Jesus. They don't like truth. People want to live for themselves. But there will be people that say, bro, what's different about you? Like, you are just awesome and it's so cool. Make a defense to anyone who asks for the hope

inside of you, but do it with gentleness and respect. like so many people, for a lack of better terms, can be a douche about being a Christian. They can be weird. Christians are weird, bro. And people can be douchebags sometimes when it comes to that, for a lack of better terms. I don't have another word to put for it right now other than that. But be gentle and respectful. Man, yeah, Jesus changed my life.

What do you mean Jesus changed your life? Yeah, dude, like, when I actually started reading the Bible and, like, trying to love Jesus and being cautious about what I say and being quicker to listen and sort of speak, I just I had this peace I was looking for. And then they might say, well, Togie, you had a bad month. Like you, I mean, like you, maybe, I don't know, I'm just using it.

Maybe you lost your house, bro. You have peace? Yeah, bro. I don't know how to explain it. I just got peace right now. And that's the reality. When you love Jesus so hard, you're just going to reap the benefits

of loving him and people are going to see it and people are going to want to have what you have. I do, like, that, that was, the, the kid with the cancer, it was like, I need whatever he's smoking because he is so stoked for no, to me, my eyes, no reason.

I don't know how you could ever be happy. He's like, and it's perfect that I got cancer the fourth time. Like, I love the pressure. And I was like super inspired, but it's also like, okay, obviously he's got something going on. So what you're saying makes perfect sense.

It's just like this dramatic leap of faith in which like fullheartedly following Jesus Christ, it's intimidating. Then all of a sudden I'm acting different on this path. I have so many great things that give me like so much fulfillment and so much peace that it's like, am I really, do I give this up on, to me, you are 10 out of 10. To me, maybe I'm six out of 10, five out of 10, four to 10, whatever I might be. I'm giving all of this up for that. How do you find peace before you get the piece to like take the first step and this is going to be good. I'm giving up this and this is going to be good. I don't know. I have no idea if it's going to be good.

Yeah. Let's use money as an example. Let's say someone has a million dollars in their bank account. There's no amount of money that's going to satisfy anyone. If you can't be content with the amount of money you have in your bank account, you would never be content with double the amount of money in your bank account. So it's what is going to give me peace. Jesus, gives me the peace that surpasses all understanding of what scripture says. Jesus gives me a peace that doesn't make sense to my brain. It makes sense to my heart. There are going to be things that you have to surrender to Jesus that you might have to give up.

There might be some behaviors you have to change. There might be some things that you have to steward differently. But that's the cost. It costs something to follow Jesus. It costs. It seems like though, like I understand what you were saying before where it's like as long as I'm turned on this correct path, then boom, I'm getting heaven, X or I Z. It seems like by the standard of the path that in which you follow, you hold yourself to this crazy standard,

I have never met anybody but you that's going to go to heaven then. Because now we got, I got a ton of Christian friends and it's like they kind of like the interpretation of the Bible is radically different. They're talking, oh, yeah, you can drink. And then other people have premarital sex. And actually, every one of them, not every one of them, but all of them, I can think of like one person other than you that's going to go to heaven. And it seems like an impossible fee. And also how to, why do Christians think, oh, they can drink? Are they just not educated on it? Well, alcohol is not a sin. Maybe I, maybe I missed said something. Drinking, alcohol isn't inherently sinful. Money is not. inherently sinful either. So alcohol and money, it's amoral. It doesn't have feelings, thoughts,

or emotions. Okay. So it's not alcohol that's wrong. It's drunkenness that's a sin. The Bible tells you don't be drunk with wine, but be filled with the spirit for being drunk as a waste. Isn't it funny how we call getting drunk being wasted? When you get drunk, you're wasting your life away. You're not sober. You're getting this feeling. People chase the feeling. People love the feeling that they get and then the next morning you reap the harsh benefits of being hung over and it hurts your liver and damages your liver and all this other stuff so is it is it that alcohol sinful no not necessarily it's being drunk as a sin now i've never had a sub alcohol and we sat here and had a beer and i had half the beer i'd be cooked you probably wouldn't so i just personally stay away from it

because it's not wise i have friends that can you know i don't know so me personally i don't know what your limit is. I don't know what his limit is. I don't know what it takes for you to still be sober-minded. I don't know what it takes for Bryce to be sober-minded because I know myself. But the scriptures also give warnings like in Proverbs. It's like, hey, look, if you're a leader or someone with a high position, I'm not telling you you can't drink wine. We should probably like stay away from it because it'll alter your decision-making and it'll mess with your decision-making. Like, you know, whether you're, you're political or not, like Donald Trump doesn't drink? Is that a coincidence or is it maybe because he thinks that at my alter's decision-making, he just wants to be

sober mind and wear an alert. You know, a lot of high profile people don't drink. So they know the benefits or money. Money's not inherently sinful. The love of money is the root of all evil, is what the Bible says. And so if I love money more than I love God, I am not going to enter the kingdom of heaven. That's an idol.

If I love alcohol more than I love God, I will not enter the kingdom of heaven. But because I love God more than I love my money, I live open-handed with my money. When Bryce loves this money more than I love God, I hold on to it. I'm not generous. I do this. I spend it on stupid stuff. Things like that. I'm not a good steward of my finances. In Luke chapter 18, a rich young ruler comes to Jesus. He's got it all. So Jesus, how do I enter the kingdom of heaven? And he was kind of like stunted. He's like kind of like prideful. And Jesus says, yeah, you need to love the Lord your God with your whole heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. And the man's like, dude, I already do that, bro. Already do that. And Jesus goes, okay, well sell everything you have and then follow me. And it says in the scriptures that the man got sad.

Because it's not because what he had was inherently wrong. The things he had was his idol. And Jesus said it specifically to him because he loved his stuff more than he loved God. There's a lot of people that want the benefits of the kingdom. And they don't want the king Jesus himself. There's a lot of people that claim Jesus with their mouth because they want the benefits that come with being a Christian. But they really don't want to count the cost and follow Jesus.

And that's when Jesus says it's easier for a camel to go through the eyes. have a needle than it is for a rich man and enter the kingdom of heaven. He doesn't say it's impossible, but he says it's easier for an entire camel to fit through the hole of a needle than it is for a rich man into the kingdom of heaven because he's weighing the options here. There's a lot of people that struggle with money being their God.

There's a lot of people that struggle with alcohol being their God. So the question is, how do I use wisdom and discernment to navigate these things? Because money's not inherently wrong. I want to be a good steward. The Bible says the man who neglects his family is worse than the unbeliever,

so Bryce will to make sure he takes good care of his family. I want a steward what God's given me to take care of my family. I want to be able to give back to what God has given me. My money's not mine. God gave me this money, so I'm going to give back to him what I can't. I'm going to feed the homeless.

I'm going to help the needy. I'm going to serve people around me. I'm going to be generous. I'm going to give to kingdom initiatives because I want to see the gospel go forward. I want to see more people know about Jesus. maybe with alcohol was probably not a good decision in general if I were to have a beer out in public. So maybe I'm just not going to drink at all.

I personally don't have a desire to drink. That's not an issue. But let's just use it as a practical. Like it probably wouldn't be wise if I was out having a beer in public. And maybe I shouldn't drink because alcoholism runs in my family and it's just not wise for me to drink. So that's the questions that we have to ask ourselves. Now, premarital sex, I mean, the scripture is very clear about sex. Man and woman come together under one covenant for one lifetime.

Sex inside of marriage is a beautiful gift from God. Like when married couples have sex, they're worshiping God. Because they're doing how, they're having sex and living a married life, how God intended for it to marry. When we do things that God intended for it to happen, we're worshiping God. And so when I don't do that, I'm not worshiping God. and so a lot of people would justify pre-marital sex. Well, I need to test drive a car to make sure I want the car.

Well, I don't have to test drive a Ferrari to know the value of a Ferrari. I don't have to test drive a human being to know that they're valuable. You know what I mean? Every human being is of the same value. So these are the things that I'm thinking of when I'm making the decisions.

And when I'm faced with temptation, because you can't stop temptation. The Bible says you can avoid sin. You can't avoid temptation. So Bryce will never in this lifetime be able to avoid temptation completely. So the thing that I do to fight temptation is I use this. I use this because this is the Word of God. And this is what Jesus used to fight temptation.

That's why Jesus is the best candidate. Imagine if a king who was born into a royal family lived this magnificent royal life and then became king and a peasant said, hey, I'm having this problem. Can you help me? And the king goes,

yeah, I know how you feel, bro. The peasant would be like, dude, what the heck? You have no idea how I feel. This has been your life the entire time. You've always been in the riches. You've always had the good food. You've always had the big house.

You've always had the nice stuff. You do not know how I feel. Jesus Christ is the king of the universe who was sitting on a throne in heaven who came down and lived in a wicked world but lived a perfect life. So if anyone knows the temptations that you and I experience the best, it's going to be him.

And if anyone knows what it's like to suffer, it's going to be him because he was beaten, he was stripped naked publicly, he was accused of crimes he didn't do. The Bible says that he was beaten so bad that he looked like an alien. He didn't even look like a human. That's how bad he was beaten. And he died of death he didn't deserve. So if anyone's going to understand us the best, it's going to be him.

But there's things where it's like, you're not supposed to, like, all right, Getting drunk is no good. But there's instances in my life where he says drinking's not good, but whatever, being generous is a good thing. But there's been a million instances in my life where it's like, I'll do too much cocaine. And then I'm like, damn, I'm a, I should not be blessed with all this money. And then I'm racked and I give away hundreds of thousands of dollars strictly because the drugs put me in that mindset. or I'm too drunk and now I finally have had, have the courage to say something in which

somebody's been needing to hear or all these incredible memories. Like there's so many instances that I can think of in my life where it's like I'm doing something terrible by whatever we're talking about, but also something very beautiful in which God, my understanding, would be happy with, but only because I was. hammered only because I was on that or only because I know what I mean? Yeah, I don't want to do anything because I feel obligated to do something because I did something bad. Like, what if, what if? No, no, I'm not obligate. I don't feel like I'm in such a good mood because I'm high on cocaine that I want to give you. Like if we were talking right now and I was on drugs, I would feel an

overwhelming urge to bless you with something so that you can continue to do what you do. And, you know, much more generous when I'm on drugs. It's not like I feel bad about doing the drugs. I feel so good from the drugs

that I should be more generous. I should do this stuff. So how awesome would it feel to give something out of the generosity of your heart versus giving something out of the generosity? I do that also though.

Yes. So I've seen you do that also, right? So what's the difference? Why would you want to give something out of the generosity of a high? Like that's like, this is what I'm comparing it to in my brain just so you know how I'm thinking.

I'm comparing it to people that say, I can't have fun unless I'm drunk. And I would say, well, you can't have fun without being drunk. They said, no, well, I get my whole personality from alcohol, then alcohol is your idol. Alcohol is your idol, because if you get your whole personality

from alcohol, then that's an idol. So that might argue would be, well, I love the feeling I get from the high and I love the feeling I get when I'm generous on drugs, but how much more meaningful, how much more impactful is it when you're sober-minded and make a sober-minded decision of saying, I want to bless you with this thing? Because like, right now, if I gave all the money in my bank account, to be wise. But I can use wisdom and discernment. No, okay, this is what God has blessed me with. I can give this much.

I'm going to give this much. And sometimes God calls me to give more than makes sense. And that's okay. I'm going to act on that. But God asks us to use wisdom when we do certain things. I'm going to use wisdom. You can't use wisdom necessarily when you're high. You can't. Even if you're being the best dude ever and giving someone 50 bands when you're high on cocaine

after you just did a line. Sure. you may have done a good thing, but you weren't sober-minded when you did it. And it's crazy how the scriptures say, God works all things together for the good for those who are in Christ Jesus. So even evil people that are inherently evil, that are wicked, that don't love Jesus, that give generous things to people, God uses that for his glory. God uses things for his glory. Even the bad things. Like we watched Charlie Kirk get shot and murdered, and then church attendance was through the roof the following Sunday.

something so tragic that God did not cause, God still use that tragic thing to bring more people to him. In the same way, God can use something good from a wicked person to bring more people to him. Same thing, not calling you wicked. Or can use something good from a decision that was made when you weren't sober. Or can use something good from this thing.

You know what I mean? So God can use all things together for the good for those who are in Christ and believers reap the benefits of being a part of the kingdom. Do you think God would ever have the Charlie Kirk incident, like he made that happen for the greater good? God doesn't cause suffering. God allows suffering.

So if God was the cause of suffering, he wouldn't be good. But because you and I have free will, we get to have the choice to choose whether you want McDonald's or Chick-fil-A for breakfast every morning. and up to macro decisions. But God allows suffering to happen because we live in a world with free will. He's not a cosmic dictator, so he doesn't intervene. But because God allows suffering, he knew it could be redeemed.

So he redeems the world through his son. And God can use suffering for his good. So I was suffering. God wasn't causing me to be depressed and anxious for years to the point where I wanted to kill myself. But God met me in a moment. and use that for the purpose of now, I understand people that go through depression and anxiety. And so when I'm talking to people that are wrestling with their faith

and that struggle with depression and anxiety, I have a level of understanding with those people because I've experienced the things that they've experienced. I've never gotten drunk. So when I talk to people that struggle with alcoholism, I've never done a drug. When I talk to people that struggle with drug use, I have a little bit of a disadvantage

because I don't understand the feelings, the high, the desire to do. do those things because I'm not craving something I've never tasted. So if God sets Togi free from struggling with drugs and struggling with alcohol, then you have this upper hand on people that are living that same lifestyle because you said, hey, I used to live this way. I don't live it now. And here's the piece I found from following Jesus and following the drugs and the alcohol. And those people are going to understand you better than they may understand me. That doesn't mean I can't reach those people. But you would have an upper hand that I don't have. the same way I have an upper hand on people,

depression anxiety. So God's not causing me to be depressed or anxious, but God allowed it to happen because he had a greater purpose in mind. That day that Charlie Kirk died, God used it for his glory. And church attendance skyrocketing. The amount of DMs I got of people saying,

I'm an atheist and haven't been to church in 30 years, I went to church for the first time 30 years. That's crazy. But death sobers people because it makes people wonder where they're going to go when they die. What happens when they die?

What happens when my time? It sobers up. It sobers people up, you know. Damn, dude, that's, yeah, wow. You are, you got all the answers. Like, uh, like I said before, I, many, many, many of my questions, no one ever makes it make no sense. And like this, I think this is cool. Maybe my questions, um, you've already talked about or like super obvious. I think it's really cool that, I think a lot of people think very similar to me. They feel like a good person. at heart. They want to be a good person, but they just don't, none of this makes sense. And no one's got the answers. Like, I do think that, yeah, you're, you have found your purpose because

you're the best at this that I ever, ever in my life have ever talked to anybody about God. You do it 10 times better. And you use these analogies that make perfect sense. So I really do appreciate you explaining it to like, like, very basic. It makes a ton of sense to me, dude. Dang, well, I'm glad. That's really encouraging. And yeah, bro, at the end of the day, I believe God created you on purpose, for a purpose. I think God wants to use you in a magnificent way in a way that you can't comprehend. And that's why I believe Jesus is the way, the truth of the life. And I want everyone to know him because I think God wants to use everyone in a magnificent way.

And that's really kind. So I appreciate that. Bro, thanks for coming on. Yeah, dude. I like it's still so yeah it's I'm going to go home and I feel say 20% more enlightened about it at what point like what would somebody do like what would you do if I was me to get the next step because I feel like I'm all I'm not going to go home and be like all right everybody I'm a Christian I'm going to start reading the Bible I feel much more educated informed but like

in my own journey, getting closer to God, what do you think is the next, the best way to go about that? Do you have a Bible? I do, and I don't understand it. I read that. And I don't have, I don't know how to read too great. I have a horrible understanding of the English language. So I'll try and read the Bible and I'll get two pages in and I'll be sitting there like, it's like I might as well not read that two pages.

I don't know what's going on. So I get, I just stop reading it. Yeah, bro, I think, like, I mean, again, like, it's like the love letter God's given us. So, like, I would say read the book of John. I'll text you this stuff too, but read the book of John. And the same way that you work out consistently, I would challenge you to give it 30 days of trying to read the Bible. And we can go through it together. I can help explain stuff as well.

But the book of John, I think, is the greatest POV of Jesus' life because of John, the guy that wrote it, was standing in front of the cross when Jesus was dying. He was right there. And he has this magnificent way of putting things and phrasing things in such a way. And John was a fisherman. And the fishermen were like a little

redneck, a little bit dumber, you know, and that's kind of my vibe. I'm like, they're a little bit more easier to understand if that makes sense. But also to the Holy Spirit, your helper. When I read scripture, I say, Holy Spirit, please help me understand this. God, please help me understand this. Help me understand what I'm reading because there's so much wisdom and magnificence in this book.

The human brain, we're limited, finite human beings that can't comprehend everything. God is eternal and outside of time. We can't fully comprehend him. But I say, God, help me understand this. And Hebrews 412 says that the word of God, it's like a double-edged sword and it separates the soul from the spirit, meaning that this word that you read is so powerful that it can change the way that your flesh wants to think versus how you should think because God designed you. It separates the way that seems right to a man, your initial thoughts, feelings, and emotions between the way that seems right to God. This word is so powerful that when you consume it, it will literally change you. Because the Bible says, if you want to change your life, Romans 12, 2, don't be conformed to this world.

Did not do everything that everyone else does, but be transformed. How am I supposed to be transformed, God? Just by the renewing of your mind, you got to change the way you think. You got to change the way you think by reading this thing. But, okay, okay. It's, like, so it seems like a big part of this process is like, ah, you got to be like, I love Jesus, right? What about the, say somebody is morally perfect, like, or as close to as perfect of a human as you can get, but they were never given, they don't got social media, they were never given the opportunity to talk to someone like you. And they don't believe Jesus died with his sins, not because they don't believe it. They don't know.

know about it. What happens to that person? When they just never even know or get any education about God. Yeah. I don't know every detail on how God is going to judge the earth. What I do know is the prerequisite for heaven is faith in Christ. If someone does not put their faith in Christ, it breaks God's heart. But God grants their wish and they're separate from him for an attorney. Everyone puts faith in something. They don't put their faith in Christ. They don't get to experience eternity with God. Now, for the person that doesn't have social media, doesn't have a phone, doesn't, lives in an isolated island and a tribe off the coast of some random island in the middle of the ocean, I do not know. But scripture says in Romans 1 that God's divine righteousness

is displayed throughout all of creation so that humanity is without excuse. What does that mean? You can't look at creation and think that there isn't something greater out there. If I told you, when before we walked in the house, hey, you see our house? Togi, yeah, it wasn't here yesterday, but it's here today. You would look at me and be like, bro, what the heck is stupid? Like they had to build this. Someone had to create the plans. Someone had to get the material. They had to get a crew. They had to come here. They had to level the ground. They had to put the grass out there. They had to lay the foundation. They had to do everything. It took hard work, time, effort, and order and design and intelligence to make this house. In the same way, you and I can't look

at a beautiful sunset off the Malibu coast and go, yep, that came from nothing. Nobody did that. There has to be something greater out there when we look at it. Intricacy, order, and detail comes from an intelligent mind. Yeah, like, logically speaking, that makes perfect sense that everybody is going to look at the world and be like, damn, how the fuck is this here? Something incredible happened for this exists, but still, there's those people. that are like, okay, there's a god. This is great and he made this incredible situation, but they never got the resources to realize that they just keep banging primarily or whatever. They're probably sinning out there's a god without even knowing it.

Sure. But they believe there's a god. Like, you know what I mean? Yeah. So I mean, like, let's think about it this way. Like in the Middle East, right now, you know, if you go to a Muslim country and you walk into the marketplace and you say you're a Christian, they're going to beat you and possibly kill you. you. Yeah. In jail. Okay?

But we noticed that what was happening in Gaza, when all the Israel and Poundstine stuff was happening, like 500 Muslims all had the same dream about Jesus and became Christian. So, they didn't have a Bible. They didn't have a church. Yeah. But they all came to faith in Jesus.

So we have to trust. This is the weird intricacies about God. If we believe God is all powerful, perfect, We have to trust that the way God judges the earth and handles things is perfect. We have to trust the way he does it is righteous and just. Even though we don't have every specific answer in the Bible, we have to trust that his way is good.

He's going to handle it correctly. And he's going to show grace and mercy the way that he describes. I mean, you had Muslims come to faith with dreams and visions. There's like history of tribes coming into no faith through dreams and visions and the way God meets people. I mean, you had Paul who wrote most of the New Testament. in the Bible, who was literally murdering Christians. That's what he did. That was like his thing. He murdered Christians. And then he was riding on a horse to a city called Damascus. And he got blinded

by the Lord. God encountered him and met him. No church, no leather bound Bible. God met him. So we just have to trust that God is going to reveal himself to every human being and give everyone the correct opportunity to put faith in him, if that makes sense. We have to trust. state, even though we don't have every specific answer. That's the part about faith. That's faith is I don't have all the answers. And no human being that you will ever meet till you will have all the answers to your questions. Yeah.

But the faith is, I am trusting if the Bible tells me that God's character is loving, just, perfect, and all knowing that I have to trust, even with the questions I have that I don't have explicit answers to, that he's going to handle them perfectly because he is perfect. And that's who he is. that's the faith that I'm having in the unknown. Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things unseen. I am putting hope in something I can't see. I am putting hope and faith and trust into something that I have truth in this word,

truth through experiences, truth through history. I am putting faith in that and I don't have all the answers and I have to trust it in that way. Yeah, I think I got no more questions. I think that, I mean, I probably will text you with some. But either way, the point is, I do, I feel exponentially more comfortable with the idea rather than like God is some like crazy strict shit.

It's like he's got the answers for me living a better life. I feel more informed, much more willing to look into Christianity. Like I already wanted to look into it. But I have this conversation, it's like, okay, there's a lot more to learn. And before I should, like, talk about it publicly or, like, identify as a Christian. Like, maybe look into it more. So, yeah, I think that was, that was, that was really great. Let's go, bro.

Yeah, of course, man. We can talk anytime. You can always text me and we read the Bible anytime you want or, like, go through it. Or if you read something, you're just like, bro, what the heck is this? Like, if you see, we can talk about it. And, yeah, bro, I just think he's the best, bro. is the best. Change my life.

Yeah, I mean, it sounds like, um, even if I were to come to the opposite conclusion, based on what I'm hearing and experiencing, it is more worth, and same for everybody watching. It sounds like, well,

they're already Christian after watching, probably. But for people that watch Togi, it's like, uh, seems really stupid to not at least give it a chance because this, yeah, I mean, it seems like the people that are really, again, the dude with the cancer, the happiest people on the planet consistently seem to be like fully very well educated on specifically Christianity.

So that's kind of like the evidence enough. It's like, okay, maybe there's something here that. And then based on this kind of like, yeah, I'm going to continue to try and, you know, follow that path and like learn more about it. Yeah, it's still, it's still a lot, you know, to a crazy world. And it's like, I'm not going to go home and I'm not going to open up a Bible. I'm going to work towards it. And I'm going to, you know, like find my Bible and shit. But I'm not going to go home and be like 100% Christian.

But I feel more. You can have mine if you need one. No, no, no. I have one somewhere in my house. I just not read it in ages. But, yeah, I feel much more comfortable with the entire thing and more willing to pursue. it and give it a chance. Heck yeah, dude.

Let me pray for you really quick because that's, that's, we need to ask God. So yeah, Jesus, we thank you so much for God. Thank you for Toggi. Thank you for our incredible conversation. Thank you for his heart, God. He's obviously so hungry to know if you're the truth, the way in the life. The fact is your scripture says you are the way the truth in the life.
