Starting point is 00:00:00 It's not worth winning if you can't win it! It's just got to be the chorus. Who can it be now? Who can it be? Who can it be? Saxophone, saxophone. Imagine if you just did that for like an hour and that was a whole episode. That'd be great.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Who can it be now? We should transition to just a Heath singing podcast. Just you singing. That's all it is. The copywriting would get tricky. It's a podcast, not a song. Nobody listens to the podcast that we'd be fine. There'd be nobody to report us.
Starting point is 00:01:17 No one's challenging that. It's like the, yeah, it's like the, the kid on YouTube who does, you know, Taylor Swift covers and he only gets two views, you know, him and his mom. And so,
Starting point is 00:01:35 you know, it's still up there because Taylor never saw it. She can't wield her, her multi-billion dollar lawyers at him. Yeah. I mean, Taylor has been known to be a sociopath. She really is.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Well, I don't know if it's her specifically, but her, you know, her team really is with her copyrights. They're, they are quick on that shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Real psycho. But the reason I sang that song is why Brandon? Well, first off, this is the cake you just podcast. That's Heath. I'm Brandon and we're eating cake. We are, we are two men at work. Heath. Just two garbage guys slinging some garbage.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Yeah. Did old school. Now that I am a homeowner, I have. trash days now. I don't even get out of the truck. It's all automatic. They have a little claw and the claw grabs your trash can and oh, they get the goings it up.
Starting point is 00:02:37 So they this, this is, you know, this is some real antiquated, uh, trash work, Brandon, like two guys getting out of the truck. Probably took them forever. This is much more efficient now. This is the good old day. of trash collecting the good old days
Starting point is 00:02:56 you know I mean you smell like shit dude that subplot the prank wars where they're where they're
Starting point is 00:03:05 covering people in shit and cutting brakes I guess they didn't they didn't cut the brick they dropped chemical when they drop on it
Starting point is 00:03:15 some sort of chemical that like melted the brick line I I just that subplot was the weirdest, funniest thing to me the whole time. I was like, why is this happening in this movie? Like, it didn't, it added nothing to the movie.
Starting point is 00:03:34 This movie is nothing but side plots that got jammed together. It is the most incredibly random. Like, the most incredibly random. I love how like pieces tied together. I love with the prank core guys that they're co-workers at the beginning of the movie when they back into them. That was great. I also loved how Emilio slept on the beach and then still made it to work before Charlie Sheen did. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:14 No alarm clock too. Like that was crazy. Well, he woke up to the radio. I wasn't paying attention enough to figure out how that worked. wonder if he had like a portable radio that had an alarm on it wow dude that's fancy for uh because that's what woke him up was the radio you know they do that that's right because they play the the weird radio uh morning DJ at the beginning and then at the end did you catch did you catch the call at the end uh the at the end of the movie like while the like right before the credits start rolling
Starting point is 00:04:47 uh it like you know cuts back to that morning DJ and the lady that is The lady that calls in. Oh, my God. Talking about the pizza guy. She's like, I date a, my boyfriend's a pizza delivery guy. I haven't heard from him all night. He's probably sleeping with all these ladies. I laughed so hard at the end where I was like, oh, my God, that was really funny.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Like, that was incredibly clever when they did that at the end. Did you, did you catch who the pizza guy is, too? It's not. It's Dean Cameron. Who is that? Oh, he's like a big 80s. uh oh he's not big but you know he he's he's most known for ski school which like Kelly's dad loves that movie yeah it's your stereotypical like 80s party movie
Starting point is 00:05:36 just set in uh like uh on a you know a ski slope but he's the main guy in that um so he's like he's like the stereotypical like 80s like party movie guy he's like in all those movies but he's also in you watch it's always sunny right yeah you know the the parody the ski party movie parody episode they do where they go to the mountains he's he's in that because of ski school but that and honestly if you don't remember that episode you should watch that episode it's hands down top five always sunny in philadelphia episode it's so good yeah i don't I don't know if I know him from any of his other movies, so. Ski school would be the, the biggest and the obvious.
Starting point is 00:06:25 And for everybody listening and yourself, Heath, if you haven't watched ski school, we're going to go watch Ski School. It's been a while. I think it might be on Amazon. It's got to be on something, I imagine. But it's, it's like you're just the, your stupid 80s party movie. It's, uh, it probably definitely does not age well. but I'm sure her
Starting point is 00:06:49 but that's who the but that's who the pizza guy is um yeah the just the ride along and how quickly like the whole the thing about this movie
Starting point is 00:07:07 is if they just call the cops right away instead of the ride along guy pulling the body out of the barrel and like carrying it everywhere. Yeah, like putting his fingerprints and hair all over the body. Like it didn't make any. Like that was the thing where this movie missed for me a little bit. It's like it was also unnecessary in the end, honestly,
Starting point is 00:07:31 because like all they had to do was just call the cops, right? And be like, hey, trash guys, body barrel. Tails oldest time. I've all been there. What's New York City, right? Like, come on. How many body barrels that have New York City?
Starting point is 00:07:48 New York City? Are you serious? Wait, what did? They're in the South Bay. They're on a, they're on like a California. They're trying to open a surf shop, Keith. Oh, that's right. And you think they're in New York City?
Starting point is 00:08:02 I forgot. I forgot. They're in the, they're in the South Bay, bro. South Bay, dude. I watched this movie yesterday. I've basically lived five lives since then. This is. For anybody who hasn't seen the movie, I'm going to break down the plot, the plot for you here.
Starting point is 00:08:21 It's Emilio Aceves and Charlie Sheen. They are roommates who are also garbage men who are also trying to open a surf shop. Yep. They, you got to dream big, Brandon? I loved the conversation after, like they're when they're on their route and they go to learn. lunch and they're sitting there talking. They're like, Emilio's like look at all the,
Starting point is 00:08:51 because they're all like at a restaurant that's on the beach and he's like, look at all the commotion going on down here. This is where it's at, dude. We need that surf shop. And then Charlie, he,
Starting point is 00:09:01 because Charlie just got dumped and he's like, now that you're a single, single man again, maybe you can start putting some more work into the surf shop. And Charlie's like, Charlie's like, excuse me, I've been doing the work
Starting point is 00:09:14 of two people trying to get this surf shop going and then amelia snaps back with uh excuse me i'm the one who figured out uh which bank to go get our loan from and then charlie's like we didn't even get the loan bro didn't even get the loan yeah and i did love how they're uh when they first sit down and they're like uh great weather sun's out whatever and then they like uh they lick their finger to test the wind And they go, what do they say? They go, oh, and the air is just right for drinking. This movie is so, so first of all, did you, did you see the credits of Emilio starred, wrote, and directed this movie. Oh, dang.
Starting point is 00:10:07 I mean, it was, this, this felt like a Nepo baby movie all the way. Yeah. Estabez brothers Yeah It's this movie is insane And so not so it's two garbage men Trying to trying to start a surf shop They find a dead body
Starting point is 00:10:25 Just to give you an idea On how insane this movie is Did you catch what Emilio's character's name is? No His name is James St. James Oh that's right Oh my God It just
Starting point is 00:10:41 It It was honestly If Tim like you know, to me it just felt like such an unnecessary movie because once again, it just, there's so many times where if they just call the cops, like, yeah, well not, so not only that. The subplot of the cop, the bike cops too, and then them handcuffing them to the children's equipment and then them trying to explain themselves to the dog was unhinged as well.
Starting point is 00:11:10 He does that twice. He does it to them and then he does it to the security guards at the, the chemical plant where he strips them down, handcuffs him to each other in a very precarious position, and then leaves them. It's provocative. But not only is all of this, not only is this whole entire movie unnecessary,
Starting point is 00:11:33 it touches on like those 80s movies where like the bad guys are such minor threats and characters. Like the, the dude who's dumping hazardous waste into the ocean, do you know what? It boggled my mind when he said this at the beginning of the movie. He goes, because he runs a paint, a paint thinning company. That's, he's doing all this to protect the paint thinning company that he runs. And he, he turns, you don't know shit about big paint. He turns, he turns to the politician that the guy that ends up dead.
Starting point is 00:12:15 at the beginning of the movie, because the politician guy is like, you know, helping him cover it up. And he gets, uh, second thoughts and he's like, I don't think I can do this anymore.
Starting point is 00:12:25 I'm going, like I'm going to the cops, whatever. The bad guy who's played by a John Gets, by the way, who's a, an amazing actor, like character actor.
Starting point is 00:12:34 He's, uh, like the perfect like 80s bad guy, uh, for this kind of movie. But he turns to the politician and goes, I have an obligation to make paint thinner.
Starting point is 00:12:48 It's like, I don't know what was happening in the I said that, Brandon, you don't know shit about big paint. Well, that was,
Starting point is 00:12:56 so that was my other thing. He runs a paint thinning company, a chemical company. The way he's dumping, the way they're dumping the bodies that they're killing doesn't make any sense to me. They put the whole body in the barrel and then they just throw the barrel away.
Starting point is 00:13:15 You, you own a, fishing a barrel. You own a paint-thening chemical company. I guarantee you you have some chemicals that can dissolve the body. Why are we not dissolving the body and getting rid of as much evidence as possible? You're just throwing full dead bodies into barrels. These chemicals aren't grown on trees, Brandon.
Starting point is 00:13:36 You don't know shit about dissolving bodies and barrels. If it's that, I would imagine if the company is that important that we need to cover it up for hazardous. Like if if he is if he has that big of an obligation to make paint thinner, I imagine he's making Buku Bucks, right? I would hope he's making Buku Bucks. Otherwise, this is this again, this is wildly unnecessary. If it's just if it's a run in the mill paint thinning company. But I would imagine he has access to those chemicals that would be able to to get rid of some of this evidence. I have to interrupt our thought process and our flow for a second because he is in a
Starting point is 00:14:15 movie that needs to be shown up for a second he's general hammond in xenon the ziquel yes yeah yeah wow classic bad guy there too dude he also plays he's he's he's a great character actor he's he's a he's a perfect like slimy little bad guy or he's a the other like real like um character work he does is he'll play lawyers like i think he's the he's one of the lawyers in the social network you know he's one of those he's a great great character actor for either a a slimy bad guy or a lawyer makes sense sometimes they're one and the same most of the time you have two lawyers walked into a bar brandon i'm kidding i did i will say he's i i i loved uh keith david in this movie because we have very similar ideas on cops or very similar um thoughts on
Starting point is 00:15:13 cops and feelings towards them. I loved how he kept, I think he did it like twice where he would break the fourth wall stood directly into the camera and be like, I hate fucking cops dude. The,
Starting point is 00:15:29 like that's it. This movie was so random. Like just out of nowhere he breaks the fourth wall. Keith David stole this. He stole this movie. He was, his performance in this movie is a godsend. It's, it's, it's something I never thought I needed, but God damn
Starting point is 00:15:45 and I'm glad I got it. He just, yeah, this movie was so, I was not, I was not a big fan of this movie. If I mean, it's like I, I, I love Emilio, I love Charlie and like everyone
Starting point is 00:16:01 in this movie, but every time I wanted to get into it, I'd be like, oh my God, why? Why? Like, why did we break the fourth wall? Like, wait, why are we weekend at burning this guy in front of the...
Starting point is 00:16:16 He's David carries the dead body around for 75% of the movie. Why are... Fireman carries the dead body around. Why are you incriminating yourself in this murder for no reason? And then why are the bad guys not just letting you
Starting point is 00:16:35 incriminate yourselves with this body? Like, if they go to the police after carrying a dead body around for the day, the police are probably going to arrest them, not the bad guys, right? Like, at that point, it's kind of like, well,
Starting point is 00:16:49 just let them burn. Yeah. I also, I did love how, how much the, uh, the, the bicycle,
Starting point is 00:16:57 uh, what they call it, the peace officers is what they called themselves. I loved that they just fucking hated the garbage guys. That they were like, fuck these, fuck these garbage losers, you guys,
Starting point is 00:17:11 you fucking losers. He literally says that he's like it's only a matter of time before you fuck up and you better believe I'll be the one to bust you you son of a bitch It's the best Yeah, it wild but no key so Keith David for sure steals this movie he's His scenes are so amazing the the rant he goes on when he has the when he's like Like telling other cops and he's like you know getting his Vietnam War flashbacks going or he when he flips out on the pizza guy he calls him pizza con like vietnam did he and like the fact that their boss his brother was like listen i need someone that's sharp and is gonna like you guys are messing around too much let me give you the
Starting point is 00:18:00 the tr the PTSD vietnam veteran to really calm you down who immediately has them going on the craziest side quests due to him may i him going up to the body in the barrel and then just being like, well, the best thing I should can do is pull this body out of this barrel. Do you remember what he said when he looked in the barrel? The first thing he says when he looks in the barrel. I can't remember. He said, oh, no, someone threw away a perfectly good white boy. Oh, that's right.
Starting point is 00:18:32 That's right. So good. Keith David is so amazing in this movie. It's so, so good. Isn't he Gus's dad? No, he's not Gus's dad. He isn't, I bet you he's in an episode of psych, though. I don't think he's Gus's dad.
Starting point is 00:18:52 He's in an episode of psych. He's something. God, he's in a, he's in so much. He's, he does a lot of voice acting. Ernie Hudson plays his dad. Ernie Hudson, that's right. Okay. But Keith David, he does, he does a ton of voice acting.
Starting point is 00:19:12 I know, did you, you've seen Princess on the first. right the Disney movie he's the he does the voice for the the main bad guy in that he's he's I'm looking at his I am D B right now and for me to go from like one year to the next while scrolling takes a good five minutes he's in so much oh dude I would so we we were both right he Keith Keith David is guess his dad just later in the series he takes over from Ernie Hudson. Oh. Syke Season 3 episode Christmas Joy took over the role from Ernie Hudson who played the character in a previous episode.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Oh, okay. Wow. So you can talk your shit, Brandon, all you want, but I was right. So was I. He's guess is Darren. So was I. He also not Gus's dad. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:20:17 Yeah. Um, yeah, because I remember Ernie Hudson. That's, that's the, when I think of Gus's dad, that's the first one that my pops in my head. I forgot that he, that's weird. I don't remember them switching out the role. Oh, well, I don't remember them switching out the role either, but, but Keith David is amazing. And he steals the, this movie.
Starting point is 00:20:37 And the peeping Tom stuff, though. That was wild, right? Wild. We can't just skate over that. Charlie Sheen. is a real creeper in this movie, dude. And he get, like, how he gets the girl is insane. So I was talking about this with another friend.
Starting point is 00:21:01 I have other friends, he's okay? That's crazy to talk, Brandon. But I was talking about it, the way he, like, lies his way into her apartment. And she, like, from the get-go, she's gung-ho to do anything with him at all times. it reminded me of like how when they look back at serial killer when they looked back at how Ted Bundy was able to trick all these people into like follow on places
Starting point is 00:21:28 and it's just like the amount of leeway that people give attractive people is unbelievable dude he 100% that he gave off serial killer vibes 100% like spying on all of his neighbors like it was
Starting point is 00:21:49 yeah it was crazy yeah and then the so it's not it wasn't only the the spying with the binoculars across the street but the conversations he was having to himself about the people that he's watching was it made it even creepier
Starting point is 00:22:09 it's true like there was one line I forget if he was talking about the main girl or if it was because he's spied on like three different girls at the beginning that were across the street. For one of them, he's like sitting there with his binoculars watching and he goes, I wish I knew your name. He's like, what the fuck, dude? What the fuck?
Starting point is 00:22:31 Yeah, it's wild that that was like how they started the movie to. Yeah, that's our first introduction to him when because he's, he woke up and he's on his way to work. but he's like, you know what, before I, before I'm late to work, let me, let me get a little peep in here. Let me, you know, let me bring out the binoculars. It's, it's wild. It's, it was insane. And the other thing, the other thing that cracked me up about his character,
Starting point is 00:23:02 about Carl, I think, right? His name was Carl, right? Carl, something. But so I love, so it's like, you know, 75% of the way through the movie. And they're, him and, what is the girl? name i forget the girl's name susan him and susan are running you know running away from the
Starting point is 00:23:20 the bad guys or whatever and he's like you know what this is i feel like this is the right time for me to tell you what's really going on i'm not because he lied told her he was a doctor so he like he like spills the beans and like confesses that he lied to her and he's not who he said he was and whatever and she goes she like he's like slaps him or whatever and she goes she slaps him and she says i liars and then like walks away and Charlie Sheen it looks so confused and like befuddled and he like like like like whispers back to himself he goes hates liars with like a question mark as if he's confused
Starting point is 00:24:03 why somebody would hate a liar it was the weirdest scene ever like he was so confused why somebody would be mad that he lied to them you wouldn't get it, Brandon. You've never picked up a girl by pretending to live in her building. I haven't. Apparently, that's the move, though. That's what I've got to start doing. You get the cops
Starting point is 00:24:28 called on you so fast. I'm not good looking enough to pull that off. I just yeah, that whole, and then shooting him with the pallet gun was. They shot him and then they thought he killed. That's why they originally didn't call the
Starting point is 00:24:45 is because they thought that he killed him because of the pelagon. That's like the dumbest thought in the history of dumb thoughts, right? Like, like as sit like, did you see who it is? You killed him. It's like, no, you very clearly saw last night before you ducked down. He just sat on his butt. And it was so far away. Like that shot hitting from that far away is impressive.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Yeah. Oh, yeah. He had amazing aim. It was so far away. He hit that. He was hitting signs like across the street too. He was, yeah, he was locked in target wise for sure. But yeah, I couldn't figure out.
Starting point is 00:25:26 I was like, did they think that they hit him with the pellet gun and then he had like a heart attack or something from it? Like I was like with you. I was like, how do they think they killed him with a pellet gun? I don't know. I that's another area where I was like oh boy I'd love to love this movie but this is so dumb like this isn't dumb oh it's hilarious it was dumb like god this is kind of dumb oh this was this was dumb hilarious to me I was having a riot throughout this whole movie because like you said it's it's it's everything was in unnecessary decision and that was cracking me up they it was like they actively sought out the dumbest decision to make in that moment and we're like all right that's how can we spin this to making sense by god they did it they did it he's they did it it it it it was it was so crazy it this this whole entire movie was just i don't know i
Starting point is 00:26:37 we got to talk about we have to talk about the haircuts too both of them both of them are rocking like just the sickest mullets dude did charlie sheen looks like what's the the band like flock of eagle flock of seagulls he looks nothing like flock of seagulls yeah do you do you remember what the fuck of seagulls guy was blonde first of all
Starting point is 00:26:59 and then he had the whole front swoop thing you didn't have a mollet he had like a weird you don't know nothing about hair a you don't know nothing about hair and you definitely don't know anything about the flogas Seagles. Brandon, first of all,
Starting point is 00:27:16 I am a hair connoisseur. I have so much of it. It's such a weird way to put that. I have the amount of hair that makes sense. Yeah. You've got all the hair you need. All the hair I can handle, bro.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Yeah, he looks nothing like flogging seagulls, though. But the, the, the, the, The mollips in this in this movie were fucking, especially when, uh, when, uh, Emilio's working and he has, he's wearing the bandana, looked fucking sick as hell, dude. Yeah. They, they did look like some, like, if there were two dudes that were going to get girls being trash guys, it was that Charlie and Emilio. Like, they, they look like a couple guys that even though they were trash guys, they
Starting point is 00:28:17 we're going to do just fine with the ladies. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It's, it's not easy pulling off handsome trash guy. No, it's definitely not, no. But Amelia, Amelia did it. It was the bandana. The bandana took it over the edge.
Starting point is 00:28:32 And that's not easy either, you know, pulling off a bandana like that. Wearing a bandana in that way, it's a very fine line. You either look cool as fuck or you look like a nerd. I know which way you'd look. Oh, I'd look like I look like a nerd 24-7. No, no matter what I do, I look like a nerd. You're not a, you're not a bandana guy. Oh, God, no, no.
Starting point is 00:28:58 No, you, I guess I was to say you need, you need the hairline for the bandana, but I've seen bald guys rock a bandana. You got to be, you either got to have the full hair line or you have to be like fully bald. You can't, you know, you can't, you got to be like cue ball in order to pull it off. You can't be, you know. can't be havesy like me and you you know yeah I can't be a receding that
Starting point is 00:29:21 hair line yeah but yeah the bandana is a very tricky thing to pull off you gotta have the and it's more vibe than it is anything you gotta have the vibe I definitely don't have yeah he did I definitely don't have bandana vibe though no my god no
Starting point is 00:29:36 but no this this is just such a weird movie and anyways it was fucking ridiculous Yeah, I can't believe Amelia Roe and directed this movie. That's insane. I mean, he was obviously doing like some 80s cocaine, right? Oh, 100%.
Starting point is 00:29:55 There's there, yeah, there's not a chance that anybody involved in this movie wasn't doing cocaine. Because it's, it's just not super great, you know, but it's such a well-known movie. is it i don't think it is oh really okay maybe i don't know it's i had i'd never seen it before i just i the only reason we did this movie is because i was looking at um free jack on toby and i was like oh shit that's amelio too let me check this out and you know thank god we did thank god i did you know it's it's worth watching at least it just once like you don't need to watch it twice but it's worth the first go around for sure i was like looking into like some of the like you know background info and stuff on this movie and i saw that um and i got uh into a reddit uh deep dive
Starting point is 00:30:54 of for the movie and people i guess i guess you're right it is a it is a well-known movie and it's it has like a cult following people fucking love this movie and from what i figured out it's mainly because like back in the mid 90s um a bunch of people like from what I read from the Reddit thread, people loved it so much because when they were growing up their family had HBO and like
Starting point is 00:31:21 they like during the day or like 3 a.m. at night HBO would just constantly play this movie and so that's how people remembered it. They were like similar to how me and you are with like the T&T movies. Like people were just like this was just always on
Starting point is 00:31:37 HBO and so I just watched it when I was growing up. That's me with every Polly Shore movie. Yeah, yeah. So I don't know if it's if it's like a very well-known. I mean, it has terrible ratings. And I'd never heard of it before.
Starting point is 00:31:53 So I don't know how like super well-known it is, but it does have a, it's got a cult following for sure. I love it. I definitely was expecting the toxic waste to be much more like toxic wastey. If that makes sense, It's not just paint thinner. Well, I think it is toxic waste.
Starting point is 00:32:20 They just don't ever, they just show them dumping it and then they don't ever actually explore. Like what it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think you're just, you're, you're left to assume it's the worst of the worst. But yeah. I mean, yeah. Captain Planet just rolled over in his grave, that's for sure. Where's he at?
Starting point is 00:32:38 Where's he at? He's dropping the fucking ball, dude. I know. He was not taking pollution down to zero. That's for sure. No. I know. I loved how, like, again, going back to the beginning when the John, the bad guy is like, you know, talking about how important his paint-thening company is, he's like, he's talking to the politician and the politician's like, you, you guaranteed me that these barrels would last 150 years.
Starting point is 00:33:05 And he just goes, oh, my bad. Whoopsidazy. Yeah. Whoopsy. We've all been there. Yeah. It was just it was cracking me up how How concerned
Starting point is 00:33:22 He was with covering up the Well not I get how I get how I get why he was concerned about covering up the Hazardous Waste but like how Because that's a lot of hazardous waste And he has like he had like 30 workers dumping it all he had a boat that he took out Like I imagine he wasn't saving that much money by dumping it rather than doing it the right way because
Starting point is 00:33:52 the upper like the operation he had set up because he has all the workers so he's got to pay them he's got the boat he's got all these trucks and then he has the police chief um the uh i don't think that guy was the mayor right he was i forget what he was he was he was gonna run for mayor i think but he's so he's paying off all these cops and politicians like he can't be saving that much money by dumping this. No, no. And again, all for a little paint better. It's not like they had strict guidelines back then either, you know? Yes, there was an EPA, but you could grease the EPA back then pretty quick and easy. For sure. And I can't. I mean, back then you, they probably, it was probably
Starting point is 00:34:37 just like a, um, all, you know, to, to dump it properly, you just gave it to them. And then they would just they would just dump into the ocean you know yeah it's transitive property yeah i know yeah that that was i was getting a kick out of that it's like all all this for a little paint thinner yeah murder in a dude yeah wow det and then he tried to murder two more it's crazy but but but but again we got we you they have to have the chemicals to dissolve bodies you know like we shouldn't you get rid of the yeah get rid of the evidence guys come on well yeah and then i the reason we didn't even touch on this the reason we get there right is because they see he sends his but his his uh his hit guys to go kill the
Starting point is 00:35:27 politician at the ladies apartment right they they kill him they take him down again they it like not hiding at all they're just carrying his dead body down the elevator down the stairs into the parking lot like why do everybody anybody could see this right then they stuff him in the barrel and then they put the barrel in the trunk of a sedan that they have to they tie the they tie the trunk down like because it doesn't fit because it's a fucking sedan and then it pops out of the trunk when they hit a curve oh I forgot about it popping out of the trunk too I loved I loved the scene where they realized that they don't have the barrel anymore so they drive back to that area and they're just like walking down alleys like
Starting point is 00:36:15 looking for it and they're like, oh man. Can't believe we lost the barrel. He's like, oh, we lost the fucking body, man. Camel's oldest time. We didn't even talk about the politician. The reason they killed the politician is because he records the conversation he has with the paint thinner guy on a tape
Starting point is 00:36:37 and then he gives he's tough. And then the girl who loses his mind on that poor girl. I'll say the girl who lives across the street from Charlie and Emilio is his campaign manager. And she has a tape of a local band that she wants to play at his rally, right? Yeah, yeah. So she has that tape. She brings it into his office.
Starting point is 00:37:03 Yeah, and then we get the classic mix-up tape and then it's just this movie, dude, this fucking movie. The meltdown of the guy when he realizes the tapes of the. switch to you is she's got the tape oh my god this good stuff this fucking movie dude it was it was so much fun it's it's so terrible but it was a lot of fun and like i said earlier like keith keith david without keith david it's not it's it's it's rough it's not but he he he he crushes it dude he is not who they were expecting from the supervisor I did I did love the night before he's supposed to do the ride along with him
Starting point is 00:37:54 him and Charlie and Amelia are at their apartment and they're talking you know back and forth or whatever and they're like oh man hopefully this guy's cool hopefully he's not you know some crazy person and eight first off Charlie Sheen is making us the craziest smoothie I've ever seen did you see what he was doing there he put like one scoop of ice cream like a whole fucking bottle of Yeager and then he was dump he was dumping pills into the blender too nice it was that was that was wild too but so but then he's he's talking to amelia and he's like man i really hopefully he's not some like crazy you know vietnam that and then it then it hard cuts to them in the truck and it pans over and he's he's like wearing his like army he's like army
Starting point is 00:38:40 jacket and shit oh it's so good oh god key yeah key david though crushed it Because he, yeah, the, oh, like somebody threw away a perfectly good white boy. He calls the pizza guy Pizza Kong because he's having his Vietnam flashbacks. He's just, yeah. There's so much stuff that he does that's like crazy. Or like when they didn't even the end was just. When him and the pizza guy pull up in the cop car and they're like fighting and the pizza guy does a worst. job ever. He's like, I sound
Starting point is 00:39:20 way more like a cop than you do. The cops are like, we know you're not a cop. I did love. The other thing that spirals. Like the thread starts to spiral off so bad at the end. The other thing with the police car that I loved is they, so they pull up
Starting point is 00:39:41 and then there's a whole, you know, fight or whatever. And then they get, they find Charlie, they get Charlie and, uh, uh, Susan out of the barrels or whatever. And they're like, okay, we need to leave.
Starting point is 00:39:53 Everybody in the cop car, they get in the cop car. It won't start. And David's like, okay, everybody out of the cop card. That's right. That's right.
Starting point is 00:40:04 And then him breaking the, him breaking the fourth wall sent me over the edge. It was too much. It was, it was, it was wild. Yeah. He's like,
Starting point is 00:40:15 he spends the whole, since the whole movie, uh, talking about how, much he hates cops that's the other reason they don't call the cops is because amelia tries to call the cops like four times and he he just keeps oh he keeps getting yelled that he he and then he cuts the phone line too so he can't dial out he David he cuts the phone line and he's like I hate cops and then uh when he breaks the fourth wall it's because the security guards come up and he
Starting point is 00:40:43 like looks dead straight into the camera and goes god I hate rent a cops too God, you can't blame him, though. No, I agree 100%. I'm with Keith David on that. What a movie, though. What a fucking movie. It was something. Written and directed by the good Gordon Bombay.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Classic. All right. Do you got a cakey rating for us he is? What are you feeling here? I know. Probably what, 10 out of five? No. My God.

Did they? I don't remember that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:02 So you did 2.49. I again this was a ridiculous movie. I had a great time all the way through though. I loved it. I'm going to give it a 2.9. Wow. That's too high, Brayman. it's my cakey read
Starting point is 00:42:20 i'm telling you it's a dumb one well i'm telling you you're dumb you and your cop loving thin blue line what oh lord have mercy on your soul brandon what a movie though minute work

Starting point is 00:42:57 I don't know I don't know why you're such a negative Nelly I thought this was a hilarious movie I had a great time all the way through you and you're hating always hate you're the hater I am the fact
Starting point is 00:43:10 the the purveyor of truths hater otherwise known as a hater dude I don't know why it's weird to me that this tripped your weird trigger it was like it was so dumb
Starting point is 00:43:29 it's mainly key it's Keith David's performance is why I love it so much without that it's it's not nearly as good but you you know me I love a good crazy unhinged performance where they're just fucking letting it rip you know that's like Ray Leota and turbulence that was that was fantastic amazing
Starting point is 00:43:47 like I love those where you just you know just let it rip dude let it rip
