The Canadian Bitcoiners Podcast - Bitcoin News With a Canadian Spin - Doug Ford's Political Career is Over | The Canadian Bitcoiners Podcast

Episode Date: July 29, 2026

Nine of the biggest names in finance put up $15 million between them. IBM alone is spending $10 billion. On July 23 the Bitcoin Security Consortium launched: BlackRock, Coinbase, Strategy, Block, Block...stream, Anchorage Digital, ARK Invest, Fidelity Digital Assets and Galaxy, pledging $15 million over three years for post-quantum research. There is no pooled fund and no governance role over the protocol — every firm writes its own cheques, and Brink's Mike Schmidt coordinates the whole thing as an unpaid volunteer. Joey and Len take the obvious objection seriously and then take the other side seriously too, because that structure was built specifically to make capture harder, not easier. The number everyone will repeat is 6.9 million BTC — roughly $460 billion — sitting in address types a working quantum computer could empty. That's a Google Quantum AI estimate, and estimates vary widely: other researchers put the exposed share anywhere from 20% to 50% of supply. No such machine exists. Adam Back says decades. Project Eleven's CEO says 2029 worst case, 2033 base case. Then: Jack Mallers walks away from Twenty One Capital and the treasury model keeps coming apart — Satsuma liquidating all 668 BTC, Sequans down more than 80%, Strategy selling 3,588 coins to fund a dividend. And CertiK's numbers on physical attacks against holders, including Canada's own file.Plus Clown World North: a Vancouver council hearing took public comment from Los Angeles, Ottawa waived the reporting requirements on a $12.1 million grant that has produced zero excavations in five years, and Alberta pulled a 2.4-pound goldfish out of a stormwater pond. The Canadian Bitcoiners Podcast - New episodes weekly.X: https://x.com/CanadianBTCPodJoey: https://x.com/joeytweeetsLen: https://x.com/thebtcpricebotSite: https://canadianbitcoiners.com#Bitcoin #BitcoinSecurity #Quantum #Canada

Starting point is 00:00:00 So, I mean, the stuff going on, BTC mentor, you guys know, if you're looking to, you know, do your custody stuff, sign up, talk to Nathan and Ben. We trust them. You guys will too. The stuff happening in Canada now is mental. Did you get the cybercrime agreement story? No. We signed on to some like cyber crime thing at the United Nations that was implemented or orchestrated by fucking China and Russia. Was that today?
Starting point is 00:00:28 It was like two days ago or something. we signed on last week. And I, like, I had to do double take. And I listened to Professor Geist today and was like, holy shit, dude. Like, what is going on here? Like, go on. You know, because I, you know, it's basically this thing. And I was able to do a lot of this, like, between traveling and leading up to my travels.
Starting point is 00:00:49 It's all surveillance. It's all surveillance at all times. And, you know, the Michael Geis and his guest today, I don't know who she was, but make the case to basically say, like, we don't need this to fight cybercrime. You only need this. if you're planning on using it for foul reasons. And I think more and more people are coming to this conclusion about the government that they actually don't care about crime at all.
Starting point is 00:01:08 They care about surveillance. And that's exactly what the end goal is here. Yeah, I mean, look, it's like, it's crazy that this is going on in Canada, of all places. And I know there's a few of you guys from like other Commonwealth countries. Kathy, I think you're in Australia. You've seen this in all these different parts of the world. It's like men. why why I need to know why
Starting point is 00:01:33 it's like 11 over there because I watch Australian Open and this is the time where they have the the beginning of the matches we got fans everywhere we got fans everywhere we love you guys like the video subscribe to the channel all that good stuff so where do you want to where do you want to start on the notables okay well I'm going back to calling a clown world I am I refuse to just I can't do it anymore we are living in clown world over here.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Should I get my my, uh, I had some of my wig over there. Should I put my colorful wig? Get the wig. I gotta get that. I'm not doing it now. All right. You know what?
Starting point is 00:02:05 It's got to be a day. I just like fucking really riled up. And I am, but it's just got to be, I got to be pushed over the edge. Sure. Sure. I'll be honest. Some days when I drive, I just can't fucking irate. And if you get me after a drive.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Yeah. Let's do this David. Caccini story. Sure. And he's the progressive conservative dude. and he is the guy responsible for the skills development fund, the SDS, and he took it over back in late of 2023. And it's quite a big portfolio of the multi-billion dollars.
Starting point is 00:02:40 And what was noticed through some people that were looking into this is that political donations to Pacini's writing association skyrocketed. Interesting. So if you take a look historically, before he took over, this role, his writing association brought in roughly $50,000 in 2020. I know 2020 was a different year, but this is giving context, right? So $50,000 is what the writing association raked in that year. And the fundraising, it's absolutely surged last year, sorry, in 2024, two years ago, it reached
Starting point is 00:03:16 $450,000. Right? I understand like, 9x. That's a lot. I understand inflation's gone up a lot. But this is, well, 9x is way, way beyond it. So they also noticed that for funding from this, this action fund that they have there, the development fund, they went to organizations led by PC donors.
Starting point is 00:03:45 So ones that made donations, there was a higher likelihood to get money. Nothing to see here, nothing to see here. Right? So many of them, they were either, oh, many of them were also donating to Pacini's writing association. And a lot of financial contributions over there. And this is money that is pseudo-taxpayer funded. When you donate to a writing association, I'll give you some numbers here. donations are eligible for the Ontario political contribution tax credit.
Starting point is 00:04:27 This is refundable tax credit, by the way. So an Ontario credit can trigger a cash refund, even if you owe little to no provincial income. So you can still get money back. So if you donate the first $500, 75% comes back. 50% is next year. That's up to $1,600. and beyond that, 33%.
Starting point is 00:04:51 So money is coming back through donations and these are like pseudo-tax taxpayer funded, right? And so some of the money that was spent by this writing association, not only these monies come in and then the money where it came from,
Starting point is 00:05:07 these guys were getting access to this development fund, the writing association was spending shit like $40,000 on meetings and related activities. They were doing sushi, rolling classes. I don't know what a writing association
Starting point is 00:05:23 needs to do this. They were dining through upskill restaurants all over Toronto and they were also expenses that were tied to a Florida golf course. Keep in mind this is a riding association in Ontario.
Starting point is 00:05:39 The connection between the two, I do not know, but hopefully somebody is able to tie this together, figure this that one out. And this, we had last week we had all those people we talked about that were spending money in hotels they didn't want to walk the nine kilometers or six kilometers back home they wanted to rather spend tens of thousands of dollars in hotel other dude was paying for money for ads in his father father-in-law's
Starting point is 00:06:07 paper to punjabi post now we have shit like this joey like it's just this is the end man you know it's too bad because in this case for doug fall's for douges for Doug Ford's political career, it's too bad because there was a chance that he could have positioned himself to become the next leader of the federal conservatives. If you look at, if I'm going too long, Joey, please cut me off. I'll be happy to yield the floor to you, but I'll give you a full opportunity to cut the court on me. If you look at the popularity of Carney, he has, I think it's plus 21. So he is more people like him than not.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Poliev is around minus 15. More people dislike him than like him. That is an excellent opportunity for somebody like Doug Ford to say, you know what, I'm going to just cut bait from this, Ontario, go federally and run. But shit like this and the stuff we talked about last week, it's eating away this popularity. It's eating away at his political credibility. and if you look at the polls and a leaderless liberal Ontario
Starting point is 00:07:24 is creeping up and may have even surpassed the PCs right now. They have no leader. But they are pulling ahead. This is incredible. So this might be the beginning of the end. Every government has a shelf life. These dudes and dudets have been in power for about a decade.
Starting point is 00:07:43 And you know what? It's going to come a point in time. They're just somebody else has to, either somebody takes the reins for the PC party, the same way Carney came over, took over from Trudeau, or it's just a transition to the next party. The NDP doesn't govern here.
Starting point is 00:07:57 The next one is going to be the Ontario Liberals. That's too bad. And even going further, again, full of plug if you want any time on me, Joe. I don't want to fucking hog this floor. Because they did, they were talking about the Billy Bishop Airport. I'm not sure if you followed the shenanigans with that.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Yeah, it was this kibosh, right? Fed's kibosh. The timing of that, Joey. was through leaked information that the Toronto Star obtained Friday at 8 p.m. Now, consultation, public consultation of this didn't conclude until midnight that night. So the federal government released this, it was leaked to the Toronto Star before the consultation ended. 100%. Now, keep in mind, there is a by-election that's been called for East York beaches or Beaches East York.
Starting point is 00:08:46 and that is a writing that is impacted by noise from Billy Bishop. Liberals need to win every one, every of these elections coming up because they don't want to get into a point where they're either right at the cusp of a having majority or just below it. They want to try to pad that lead as much as possible. So this, one could make an argument, the getting rid of the Billy Bishop expansion political, and it made Doug Ford look stupid.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Because Doug Ford was pushing this for a long time. And Doug Ford expanding and blah, blah, blah. I don't think he would have done that without prior discussions with the federal government. But you know what? They pulled the plug on that. They rug pulled Ford. I think Ford's political career, it's probably done. For better or for worse.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Wow. How is he going to withstand all these attacks? You know what he should do? The first thing he should do is go scorch. earth on that riding association. Remove anyone who's found to have spent money without the oversight that should have been in place. Say the things that need to be said about those people.
Starting point is 00:10:01 The public wants some scalps. Give them the scalps. I don't think he did anything wrong, at least not wrong in the technical sense during this whole saga. So do that. And I think he should talk about the beaches east York thing because you're right. I do think that's political. Carney's a hyena.
Starting point is 00:10:18 We've talked about that a bunch. You guys sharp as attack and knows what he's doing. And probably much like you and me, sees that Doug Ford would be a pretty formidable opponent on a national stage. And what would we say a couple weeks ago? He wants to run against Pauliev, not against Doug Ford. And I think that's an easy way to kneecap a guy who's already, you know, kind of treading water a little bit thanks to the riding association thing, thanks to the MP spending thing,
Starting point is 00:10:42 thanks to the airplane thing. The thing that I think is probably true as well, though, is that when the liberals have a leader, they're actually easier to hate because the people in charge are just such clowns over there. You got like this Lombardi guy, total retard. You got the, who is it, the former mayor of someone, I forget her name, running as well now,
Starting point is 00:11:05 and a few other names have popped up over the last two or three months. You're now running as mayor again in Mississauga. Yeah. Cronby. Cromby. Crombie. Crombie. My vibe.
Starting point is 00:11:15 And so the names the liberals have are so out of touch. You know, they're borderline communist, but more than borderline retarded. And so, you know, they're easier to hate when they have a leader. I think if you, I think you could run the opposite experiment with the federal conservatives. If the federal conservatives were in the middle of the leadership race, the Kearney approval rating would be lower. Because people like the idea of the other party much more when the other party is headless. it's when you put someone in there that's incompetent or unknown or whatever, that's when you see the true level of support.
Starting point is 00:11:51 And I think the liberals are enjoying that right now and the conservatives, not so much federally. I don't think there's an election brewing provincially or federally, to be honest with you. I don't think it's as serious for Ford as you do. I think if I had to bet, like, I don't know what are the polymarket odds on next Premier of Ontario, I think I'd still take Doug Ford over the field. I don't know who else you'd see winning there. Yeah, you need like a true powerhouse liberal candidate, I think, to get that. Do you like that was Dalton McGinty, he had two kicks at the can.
Starting point is 00:12:27 Yeah, he didn't win. He wouldn't be. But the reason why he won the second time is because the expiration date is passed in the PC government at the time. Yeah, yeah. So I don't know what's funny because the liberal are a party in search of a leader. And the NDP, they have a leader,
Starting point is 00:12:47 but that leader's in search of a party. Because if you look at who people like, people like her, they hate the party. Maritz Marit Stiles or whatever her name is. Yeah, so you have two parties. One, if you could sort of combine them in a way, have that leader's personality and likability thrown on to the liberal side,
Starting point is 00:13:08 that would be a formidable fault. You can't. You can't. I mean, it's like, well, of course you can't just fabricate this out of nothing. It's something that's. I don't think. I don't think the, I don't think the federal liberals or the Ontario conservatives are in danger of losing an election anytime soon. I, I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:13:25 I think every government has a shelf life and this one, it's getting awfully close. You think? People are tired of what's. Don't forget. You can still eat something after the best before date, right? It's, uh, you can't. This is good, but I won't kill it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:41 This whole issue with the Billy Bishop Airport, I think it's rub people the wrong way because he looks spineless through this. And we're talking about growth of the city and increasing commerce downtown. And this obviously would be a good thing. I know there'd be more noise pollution, but everything comes with the cost. And if you want to have a thriving economy, a growing economy, you got to pay the piper and the one thing you have to pay is
Starting point is 00:14:13 well there's going to be some added noise Yeah I think crime Yeah I know I know He's not out there like banging a drum and say These guys fucked up he's been quiet Don't you think Don't you think that the premier especially You could pull some other levers
Starting point is 00:14:26 Leading into an election campaign though Stuff like you know Being tougher on crime More accountability in policing More like these things are pretty low hanging fruit That are always ripe Around elections Because they just never
Starting point is 00:14:38 they're never off the table, right? And so, like, you could do that stuff. And especially in this, you know, conservative versus liberal arena, you could point to the same issues that you would be really good on and point to your liberal and NDP counterparts and say, these people will do the opposite. They will free more people. They will allow more crime. They will try to rehabilitate people who are beyond rehabilitation. They will make sure that you cannot defend yourself. They will continue to, you know, breed disorder in the downtown core.
Starting point is 00:15:08 And I think most people believe that. The other question is, the other question is, too, like, is he going to win the 416 no matter what he does? No. Then who cares about the 416? Like, he's going to win everywhere else. That's how he's done it in the past. It's not like he's a... There's a lot of 905 he'll win, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Yeah. But if he doesn't win a lot of 416, he just won a decent amount in the past there. I can't remember specifically how much, but to form a majority government, he must have tapped into Toronto quite a bit. It's too bad. I just can't see this happening. If he wants to use the argument of crime and these other guys are going to make it easier for people to come out and make it worse. Well, dude, you're in power for like 10 years. If things are bad now, what have you done to fix it?
Starting point is 00:15:57 You know, you should be saying, I've done this. And there's a reason why their shit isn't bad. But it's not the case. People are fucking drugged out of their minds. you can't take transit. The roads are fucking full. Go to the healthcare system and you try to use a hospital.
Starting point is 00:16:13 It's full. I understand there's reasons for that. But like I don't see him going, pounding the drums and say, look, it's because of this. If there's an election, he might start,
Starting point is 00:16:24 you know? Well, the guy should have been doing it for a long time. I agree. But is that how politics works? Is it? It does? Because people forget,
Starting point is 00:16:31 like that stuff, you know, if it's, if it's been on the stove for too long, people don't want to, that cooking anymore. They want it, they want something new, right? It's like, what have you done for me lately in the election? I get this guy's cheesecakes. Remember he was doing those videos on preparing cheesecakes? It's good. Yeah. During COVID. Love that. Uncle Tetsu. Uncle Tetsu sponge
Starting point is 00:16:51 cheesecake is a favorite of mine. I don't know what that is. Remember he used to go to the COVID cottage during COVID? Oh yeah. Everybody got to stay home. But him, nah, if I could go to the I'm busy. I'm working. They got to do shit. Global news today putting out this story about how he's feigning events all over the province too so he doesn't have to drive anywhere he takes the he takes a plane and so they're basically saying the events are fake right the events are unnecessary and sort of just like bullshit engagement so you can get on a plane instead of having to drive four or five hours yeah that plane it's it's awfully I mean they they the other thing that they could point that he could point to you honestly and I know it's kind of played out but like
Starting point is 00:17:30 is there any doubt the media hates this guy like they hate them they all these all these media let's hate him. CBC hates him global city. They all fucking hate him and he knows that and I think I think that the general awareness of that in the Canadian population is on the rise that there's a clear slant in the media
Starting point is 00:17:48 so you know he may also try that. Are you going to fucking cheer or boom? I like Doug Ford. I've said I know or knew someone who was like in his inner sanctum and I was like really pushing to try and get him on this show. The problem is I say retard too much probably, so he'll never come on. But I would love to talk to him. I think people, people can say
Starting point is 00:18:13 what they want about politicians in their, in their politics. But there's, there's a person in there too. And I, you know, I suspect that when you get into a voting booth, it at least crosses the mind of most people, like, do I like this guy? Do I like this guy more than the other guy? And there's some data around this too. Yeah, there's data around this too. That in the, in the booth, all the sort of rational arguments start to fade away. And the thing that matters the most is like, who do I want to get a pint with? Is it this guy or the other guy? And I, you know, he wins that.
Starting point is 00:18:41 He wins on that front for a lot of people, whether they admit it or not in the data or in the polling, you know? He certainly does. I just, you know, like I say, it's eventually there comes a point in time where people just had enough. And the Canadian politics is it's about a decade. And we're getting there. And so I, unless you're the federal liberals, then you get a fresh start after
Starting point is 00:19:00 10 years. Different dude is there. Yeah. Different dude. So like I say, it might be, you know, they could find. Why don't we swap Polly out for Ford and just try it? Just try it. Just give it a shot. He needs a riding.
Starting point is 00:19:11 So like they could find him one in Ontario eventually. So like maybe they could give him Doug Ford's riding and Ford could take, well, then he needs a federal law. Anyway, let's talk about. There's some beauty stories I don't want to leave up this show. Like, number one, we have this Toronto Star that posted this story. And the title was his family in India took out a mortgage. to fund his tuition in Canada. Why many temporary residents
Starting point is 00:19:34 can't even think about going back. You can think about going back. I don't care if you're homeless when you go back. You fucking idiot. These are the best and brightest, apparently. They didn't even read the fucking terms of engagement before they came here. I do not care.
Starting point is 00:19:46 You have to go back. Simple as. I don't give a fuck where you live. They're trying to... Live under a bridge for all I care, bro. You can't stay. Sorry. Well, they're trying to spend it
Starting point is 00:19:53 that the challenges for these temporary residents, students and workers. You got social pressures and shit. So going back, is going to be deemed as a failure. What are the three most important words in the English language? Len, do you know what they are? No, yes.
Starting point is 00:20:08 No. They are. I don't care. You have to go back. That's all there is to it. So yeah, we got to talk about the specifics of this article because they talk about the students. They mortgage the farm, so to speak, to come here. and the families in their home countries,
Starting point is 00:20:33 they took up mortgages in their homes to pay for the schooling and for the... Can we comment on this note in the chat here about the story? Doesn't it say in the story it was a ticket for his whole family to come eventually? Is that the thinking? Of course it's going to be. Nobody is going to mortgage the house
Starting point is 00:20:53 for somebody to go to a foreign country to study there temporarily. Strip mall University, cutting vegetables. Don't make me play the video. Why would you like do that to, you know, take money out of inequity that you have to send somebody abroad and then come back to the country where you first started. And then what are you going to do with that education? You know, you're not going to be able to pay off.
Starting point is 00:21:15 I mean, I don't know. It's nothing. Good luck. It's just, it's an absolute mess. And this was a way people were. A mess for who? A mess for who? A mess for who?
Starting point is 00:21:24 Who's it a mess for? For everybody involved. For you, Joey. For me. for the people that came here, everybody is impacted. And we could point out and say, you know,
Starting point is 00:21:37 fuck them. You know, they're screwed too. But them being screwed here impacts you and me. Yeah. Right? Like, it's just one more person on the road.
Starting point is 00:21:46 It's one more person that's taking a job. It's one. These are things that do have impacts on general society. But, hey, you know, the economy is doing well. And so let's continue down this. So Canada and. and Pakistan, I'm not sure if you heard about this, but relations between these two countries,
Starting point is 00:22:04 they're getting stronger. It's good. You know, there are a lot of people, they must have been sitting on the edge of their seats, just waiting for something like this to transpire. I get, you know, these guys get closer partners. You don't have to wait any longer. We finally crossed that threshold. Our foreign minister, Anita Anan, she visited Pakistan.
Starting point is 00:22:22 And through this delegation, Canada, they entered into negotiations for a foreign investment, promotion, and protection agreement. FIPA, FIPA, FIPA, FIPA, I don't know. Anyways, Canada is going to be exporting stuff like canola, and they're going to be using that over there for food, feed, and processing. So both sides committed to boosting investments in Pakistan's renewable energy sector. Oh, boy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:55 I didn't realize they had a burgeoning renewable sector in Pakistan. There's more. There's more. They're going to be combating terrorism. And a way to do this, Canada announced over 2.2 million in funding for collaborative initiatives involving the RC&P Intrapole and the UN Office of Drugs and Crime. Also, Canada committed 45 million across three new development projects focusing on climate resilience, flood recovery, education access for children, and reproductive health services. we need to be neutering people over there not offering reproductive healthers there's like a fucking 20 billion people or whatever
Starting point is 00:23:35 over there like shut it down put these guys in a fucking chastity belt at birth and don't take it off like why are you pretending anything else it makes sense have you seen the videos of these places like people realize these places are true hell on earth like you can't
Starting point is 00:23:51 you don't need more people there we are going through a period of fires and you can see what you want want how they got started, they are here, right? And it's impacting the air. Toronto we had a week and a half ago. Edmonton suffering it just recently. And in BC it's going through right now.
Starting point is 00:24:08 But we're sending money for flood recovery over there. What the fuck do we give a shit about the floods over there? I know. I'm sorry, but if, right, if people are impacted here, let's deal with this shit at home first. Once all problems are solved, everything is good. At one point, are we not feeding the pigeons here a little bit? Can we not just stop feeding the fucking pigeons all over the world? Because every time we give money these places, there's more and more people, there's more and more immigrants, there's more.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Like, we don't need it. We can't actually, it's something that we don't need it. It's that we can't afford to keep doing it, period. We can't afford to keep giving the money and we can't afford to keep bringing displaced people here. We can't do it. The Z man. Oh, fuck, I know I heard about this guy. He just want to be left out, right?
Starting point is 00:24:52 The Z man wants in. So there's a new proposal from Ukraine seeking a. long-term energy partnership with Canada. And Ukraine's energy minister, I don't even want to pronounce his name because I'm going to butcher it, they announced that Ukraine has proposed a 30-year strategic energy pact with Canada intended to create a long-term energy security bridge. And they want to secure,
Starting point is 00:25:18 stable, long-term supplies of Canadian LNG. I thought there was no business market for that. Either way, they want to be a new LNG deal. opportunity. But they want to do this to help diversify its energy import routes. And Canada and Ukraine discussed a direct Canadian grant worth $650 million to help Ukraine purchase natural gas ahead of the heating season. Our heating bills are going to be going up.
Starting point is 00:25:46 The best. And I'm not sure how many people are going to be lowering the temperatures their home in order to heat themselves. But $650 million is going over there. But in return, though, Canada is going to be getting from Ukraine. Ukraine is going to be offering Canadian suppliers to utilize its underground gas storage facilities and explored broader technological cooperation, including potential uses for Canadian made use technology like small nuclear reactions. SMRs, we have good tech. Not even fucking hookers get fucked this often, but at least they get paid for that.
Starting point is 00:26:24 Yeah. This is insane. You know the old saying, Len, the old saying when it cranes, it pours. So here we are. I do want to bring up the, there's one more. These guys in the chat. Holy fuck, you know how many Vancouver condos we could have bailed out with that money? Did you know that?
Starting point is 00:26:45 So true. So true. The Canada, U.S. bridge, Detroit, Detroit, Windsor, Bordia Bridge. Yeah. is now open but we have i'm gonna just please this fuck it there was the opening ceremony i just want everybody to see it i'm gonna sing a song um please stan vandesters it was the opening of the bridge boys that's the opening of them they did that during the ceremony i can't i cannot i just don't get it i don't get it
Starting point is 00:27:31 but you know what i i didn't realize gorty howe had native blood in him Yeah, he's 1-8, but 1-16. What's his name? Gordy scored many goals? Gordy, how did he rack up all those assists? Like, he must have had some name like that, right? I'm so fed up with the tribes, honestly. Like, I just, I'm trying to be nicer because sometimes I go back and listen to the show, like,
Starting point is 00:27:58 when I'm doing the edits, when I'm doing the shorts. And I'm like, I can't believe I said that. I must have been in a bad mood. But literally it's every week. I'm just so mad at these people now. And, you know, it's at the same time when, like, they're trying to criminalize any rude discussion around like cam loops and graves and every child matters. Like, we're all going to prison over it.
Starting point is 00:28:17 But I look at stuff like this and I'm just like, what, like, what is the rationale for involving them in the Gordy Howe Bridge? What is it? You know, was this, you know, traditional tribal lands? Everyone is seen and heard the stories of what we walked into when Europeans came to Canada, came to North America. These guys were walking around with heads on pikes, dude. Like, you know, they're not, they're not like the sort of wisdom-rich keepers of the territory that they paint themselves to be.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Look no further than life on the reserves to see that, by the way. It's not like I'm making it up. And you can look at the history of these tribes, not just Canadian tribes, but tribes all over the world. And this is not a way of life or culture we should continue to glorify. I'll just say that. There's a lot more underneath the fur than maybe most people realize. I think it's time to transition to the Hamilton versus Brampton. Sure.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Okay. Brought to you by Twan at 256 heat. Look, we've been doing this Hamilton Brampton Man thing for a long time. And when we are talking about Hamilton Brampton Man, we want you to be thinking about two things. Number one, how am I going to mess up this story for the fifth week in a row? And number two, should I be getting paid to heat my house with hash rate? Twan will help you. He will give you a setup tailored to your needs.
Starting point is 00:29:42 So whatever size space you have, whatever sort of power you have, noise issues, you name it. Because nothing is right off the shelf. It's all let's talk about what you're doing. Let's talk about what you're intending, you know, intended outcomes are here. How much do you want to mine? How much do you want to heat? And we'll give you something that makes sense for you, which is what we want. You know, it's not a, you know, pick it up off Amazon, shifts your house, you're on your own.
Starting point is 00:30:05 It's white glove, man. He'll help you set up your account with Ocean or whatever minor you want to use. And he'll take care of you. You can't get this kind of service anywhere else. One of the reasons we, you know, we're so tight with Juan is because you can trust them to do the right thing and to do it well. And that's really, you know, saying something in any commerce space, but certainly in Bitcoin these days. So go to 256eat.com. Winter's coming, as the saying goes.
Starting point is 00:30:29 So pick up something now Get it ready And tell them we sent you for a couple bucks off Hegel with them I don't know Do whatever you want And see how it goes So there you go
Starting point is 00:30:38 Go visit him Wilheim once again provided these two stories Here we go Here we go I'm in it You were up against a formidable foe here We're in a rivalry here This is the real heated rivalry
Starting point is 00:30:48 Not the game hockey show Yeah he's been good He's been good Yeah so Yeah so okay We got two stories One is the Hamilton One is the Brampton man
Starting point is 00:30:57 And uh well There's more than just a man looks like in some of these. Anyways, first one, we have two more charged, one outstanding in major credit card fraud scheme dating back to 2016. 2016, interesting. Yeah, it's way back some times. That's a key data point there. That's a key data point, 2016. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:18 So more than 100 charges have been laid, and one suspect remains at large. And the investigation was first announced in April of 2024. This is for Project Deja View. And this was involving a synthetic identity fraud scheme that started back in 2016. And what is this? Well, it is a form of fraud of financial fraud that were people have fictitional personal information that they use to open accounts on banks and other businesses. And so this investigation was launched back a couple of years ago because financial institutions were contacting them and forming them all of several synthetic accounts.
Starting point is 00:32:01 And yeah, they decided to look into this and they got to these guys. So more than 680 unique synthetic identities, many of which were used to apply for an open hundreds of bank accounts and credit accounts at various banks and financial institutions across Ontario. We can't even get a bank account. These accounts were then used in store for online purchases, withdrawals, and e-transfers. More than 4 million in losses were reported. up until April.
Starting point is 00:32:29 So police did their searches, they conducted warrants, and yeah, and they decided to want these people. Several dozen synthetic identities documents were taken, fake government identification, hundreds of processing cards like bank cards or credit cards, as well as 300,000 in Canadian and foreign cash. So two suspect, 55-year-old man and 28-year-old man were arrested, and a third. is 59-year-old's man remains at large and for fraud and laundering and blah-a-b-b-buss. Those are, yeah, that's story number one. So there you go.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Number two, we have short one. Man charged an alleged phone fraud scam. So 26-year-old man is facing six charges in this scam. Please say the man, this is great. He approached victims pretending to be an RCMP officer and recruited their help for a non-existent investigation. They say he then made demands for the victims to withdraw large sums of money and purchase gift cards and share the details with him over the phone.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Police didn't disclose how much money was involved, but Buddy is facing three counts of fraud over $5,000 and so forth, and police officer will believe there's many more victims out there and urging them to come forward with some information. It's a short story, but still it's an interesting one. We have the two stories. We have number one. We have the people with the synthetic identity fraud,
Starting point is 00:34:03 and they were just racking up charges, $4 million in losses in total. It seems like a really good Brampton, man. The second one is the phone fraud and fake RCMP officer and extorting money from the victims. Fake RCMP officer also kind of like, it's also Brampton Man-ish in that it's very difficult to pull off. so they try it anyway
Starting point is 00:34:27 the one thing I think about the first story is that 2016 is not quite old enough to be a Brampton man or it's too old I should say to be a Brampton man you need like the 2020, 2020, 2021 class of Brampton Man to really like get into organized crime and I don't think that that's not really the same era you know it's not the same stock the thing is that the full
Starting point is 00:34:54 phone scam, like the phone scam is like really truly sort of like that's 30 behavior you know. So is that like do I think that the Brampton man was involved in that or do I think he was involved in uh... See to me, I know obviously
Starting point is 00:35:12 the the phone is like the the lower low hanging fruit. It's low tier. It's low tier. The other one required a little more planning and everything. And it's also like a consistent sort of like a consistent thread of thinking, right? Like there's some, there's some like ongoing consistent execution there.
Starting point is 00:35:29 So Brantan, man, I got to be honest, not great at. You know, you see this all the time. They're sort of disrupted early on in the operation. Maybe they tapped into a different group if it's going back to 2016. Give me the first group, the more complex crime. I'm going to just go with my gut here and say that was the Hamilton man. And then the other guy, the phone guy was the Brampton man. So the phone guy is the Hamilton man.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Unbelievable. I can't believe what, what's happened. me here. I'm getting absolutely fucking killed the last few weeks. So unfortunately, I can't give you an... Oh, actually, it could. Amri Suna is the Hamilton man. It's 26
Starting point is 00:36:08 years old. And the other one... It's a Brampton man. That's a Brampton man. I feel like I'm getting cheated in some of these. Like these are... I'm going to throw this in the fucking chat. If you want to see the picture of the other one, take a look at this. Just these two guys,
Starting point is 00:36:24 if you're going to draw a picture of Brampton guys Yeah Is it coming? What chat? What chat you put in? In the chat for everybody to see Oh, the big chat, okay
Starting point is 00:36:41 Yeah, I can't copy that But anyway, okay They can't? No, I can't I mean, I can't Oh, so I started to you in Signal then. Yeah, send it to me in Because the guy
Starting point is 00:36:51 Once you guys, once you get So I can put it up There you go. I mean, sorry, I'm going to text with them. I don't use a signal. It signals wrong. God damn it. Lynn, come on. Starting point is 00:37:11 Geez. Okay, I'm gonna share the picture here for people who are watching. This is a crazy, this is like unbelievable to me that this is what I come up against. So that's right. Project deja vu. I mean, it's exactly what you think. Right down to the fucking posture in the stupid folded hands. Hold on. Let me find it here. I got too many tabs open. Where's the stream there it is. Okay, here we go. Dun, dun, da, dun da, dun da, dun da, dun da. Look at that guy. Sir.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Your credit cards are. Oh, my God. It's so stupid. I'm getting the fuck out here. Holy cow. Is that six in a row? I don't think it's six in a row, but he's definitely got me six. Didn't I get you one week, Wilhelm?
Starting point is 00:37:58 I think I did get you one week in the middle of it. I think you had him for the first two or three. This is at least three, I'm going to say in a row that's lost. Oh, minimum three in a row. Are you kidding? I'm getting absolutely tors. I think it might be like five or something like that. Yeah, Pablo's saying, I see that.

Starting point is 00:38:38 You have five in a row, right? Six. You guys, so it's almost 500. Right. I mean, but with you, with you, I was like, you know, I was killing you. I was like, uh, mani, or not many Ramirez. What was the guys named the pitcher? Mani, the Red Sox pitcher.
Starting point is 00:38:55 I forget his name. Pedro Martinez, not Manny. Pedro Martinez. He was lights out, man. Lights out. Lights out. Anyway, we're out of here. Like the video.
Starting point is 00:39:02 subscribe to the channel all that good stuff it takes you no time at all and it makes a difference for the channel to do that so go do it on youtube please and not just that it's also the hype you know if you give a hype on youtube i don't even know what that is i have no idea what that is so on the first week after a video post it i don't know if it's live streamed for sure if they could just post a regular video there's a hype you could give for the first seven days and by hyping it it increases the opportunity for that to be put in somebody else's. Hype me up, man. Hype us up. That's another good thing.
Starting point is 00:39:36 We only have like seven days to do it. I'm pretty sure it applies to streams as well. I have to check into that. I don't know. We'll find out. We'll see you next week, friends. Take care yourselves until then. Don't be a cock.
