Bitcoin Mentor.io from my friends over at the BTC Sessions Channel.
Best place for you to not only learn a bit about self-custody,
but get some white glove chaperoning through the process.
Ben obviously has been around, you know,
he's been doing this since we were shitting in diapers, as the kids say.
And he's got some of the best people in the space
helping him put together a custody product that's uniquely fitted for your needs.
So if you want to do inheritance, you want to do multisaged,
You want to do multi-jurisdiction.
You want to make sure your wife can access it.
All these things are available to you through Bitcoin Mentor.
And it's not just a PDF file.
It's White Gloveman, Nathan, Gary, Jesse Berger, Mike, Ben himself, and others.
Probably names of them leaving out there.
Best in class.
Best in class.
You can't beat it.
I realize that probably many more people are thinking about this stuff than they were months ago, obviously.
And for good reason, we talked about some of those reasons tonight.
It's something that you should be thinking about for.
your family more than yourself.
You don't have a problem with Bitcoin.
You're watching this show.
You understand how all this stuff works.
But if your family doesn't and you happen to get on a plane and the plane doesn't land,
you're going to have a problem because they're not going to be able to access the Bitcoin that you work so hard to save.
So anyway, Bitcoin Mentor.com.com.
I know, BTC Mentor.com.
One of those two addresses.
Tell them we sent you haggle with them a bit and get a discount.
I'm sure they'll make it work for you.
And so.
Yeah.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
No, no, I forgot.
I go tell your tale.
I was going to tell my story.
I had to stay overnight at the Mack Children's Hospital on Friday because my little one had
croup and I stupidly declined an offer to take her home at like four o'clock.
My wife was there with her all day and I went in the afternoon after I was done work.
She was all right, breathing a little shallow but overall pretty good.
And the doctor said, you know, if you guys live close, you can go home with the inhaler,
get the prescription filled for the other one and start, you know, once you can get the inhaler to every four hours without like really gasping for air, which she never was, to be honest with you.
You know, you should switch to the other maintenance inhaler for a couple of weeks just so she can clear this viral infection.
Every kid in that ER, by the way, sounded like a fucking horse.
They were all like, uh, uh, every single one of them.
I said, you know what?
I have to go do Bitcast anyways.
So stay here for a couple more hours and get looked at one more time by the doctor.
and then I'll come back and get you around 7 o'clock.
I look at my phone during Bitcast.
You can probably see the expression on my face at some point during the show.
They want to keep her overnight now.
It's a new doctor attending and he's a little more conservative.
And he's saying that her blood oxygen level is too low.
Her blood oxygen level, my little one, they wanted to be around 90 when a kid is sick,
90 minimum.
And hers was dipping to like 88, 89.
The overnight nurse, I stayed overnight.
My wife went home to sleep.
the overnight nurse and I were talking the one time she came in because the O2 sensor,
the alarm was going off.
Her, you know, O2 was down 89%.
Turns out, do you know that kids have such narrow airways that if you position their head
a certain way, it makes a pretty big difference in how much oxygen gets into their lungs
in a breath.
Did you know that?
The nurse knew that.
And so my daughter likes to sleep with her head down or butt in the air.
And so we repositioned her so that her head was up a little bit.
they put her on a slant and the alarm never went off again.
So we ended up staying overnight on Friday.
I guess better safer than sorry, of course.
But yeah, big shout out to the staff from McMaster.
Between the times I've been there because my daughter has croup every fucking four months,
the C-section my wife had scheduled, the aftercare we got in both cases.
And having been there now overnight twice, that's like an incredible nursing staff.
I am so thankful that we live so close to that hospital because I don't know what I would do
if I had to go somewhere else.
I've heard horror stories from around the, you know, around southern Ontario, friends of
bars, if we've had kids, even in Quebec, actually, friends of bars have had kids out there.
Nightmare.
Never at McMaster.
So show to those guys, man.
All the nurses on 3C and in the in the Peds emergency area there.
God bless you guys, man.
Great job again.
Well, it's going to be busy moving forward if things go the way people.
are planning it because Canada might be invaded by the U.S. military.
And so all hospitals are going to be all hands on deck.
War time.
Yeah.
It's 1812 all over again, right?
And so the U.S. military invading Canada.
So multiple news outlets were reporting on this potential because of what Carney said,
and this was following a discussion, I believe is what the...
Did he really say this, though?
Did he really say it?
He didn't really say it.
the way the news media reported it.
I saw the clip.
It was, I mean, the media here is a fucking joke.
The way the news was reporting it and the way everybody was talking about it,
even Carney was saying that this is a very low probability.
And so according to reports, the Canadian Armed Forces,
they've done modeling for a hypothetical US assault.
So they have spent more than money.
RCP and military both deny this, by the way.
in public statements that they've ever done any modeling around this.
So in the press statements,
Carney was saying this is just risk management,
not a base case,
but it would be irresponsible not to prepare.
Shut up.
So somebody has spent more than a nanosecond on this.
Sorry, Carney said that or the media said that?
Yeah, Carney said this when he was pressed on this issue.
So more than a nanosecond was devoted towards this.
And never did I ever hear Trump saying
will use force, military force, to invade Canada.
Economic force, yes, either directly or indirectly he has said that.
Absolutely.
But there's a huge difference between sanctioning or putting tariffs or shit like that,
which any country could do it.
Any sovereign nation could do whatever the fuck they want with respect to that.
They want to put tariffs on all the more, you know,
from goods coming in their country, they could do it.
But to come in with force to Canada, no.
I think this is not how like what what sort of modeling could one do to say that we're going to stop this given our military versus United States.
We're not going to put hockey pucks in the ice and start fucking firing at them.
Even that were not as good as you know, you saw what some of the strategists are saying that we would rely on like, you know, ambushes and armed citizens.
Like, are you guys fucked?
Who's, buddy.
If the Americans invade, I'll be out there with hot cross buns and a, you know, you.
you know, American flag on my front lawn there.
Come on in.
Take a break here.
Use the toilet.
I got coffee.
You know,
whatever you want.
You ever tried Otis Bitmeyer's beans?
They're great.
They're from the US of A.
Joe,
you got to think outside the box here.
Like,
you could use those new,
um,
plastic things that people are dumping into the lakes and
shit like that.
Use that as a Indian,
you hide behind them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How many new Canadians will be,
uh,
enrolling to fight this war,
given that they're so proud to be here and they're just as
Canadian as you and me and they have every right to
the heritage, like how many will they,
I'm sure, surely they'll be enrolling by the
hundreds of thousands, right?
To fight for this country, they're so proud to be a part of?
Absolutely. Oh, let me guess.
None of them will. They'll all pretend
that they need wheelchairs just like at the fucking airport.
Isn't that what's going to happen? Isn't that the more
likely outcome? Like, come on, man.
Give me a fuck. It's just... Not wheelchairs.
I have a joke, by the way. That's great. I love those pictures.
But nobody's had anything.
I mean, aside from like, showing it on Twitter.
Who's going to say anything? Why would you say anything?
If you're working at the airport, like, what is, what is the benefit
to you to say anything to these people.
It's not the benefit to the person working.
It's for the travelers themselves.
Somebody should be like up in arms and saying,
look, this is total fucking bullshit.
And the fact that somebody is doing it to get on and off quicker
at the expense of,
and get access to the overhead compartments that we don't think.
Fuck that, man.
And then as soon as they get off and they see their family members,
they're doing dances and shit like that.
Like they never, they didn't need to fucking have
anybody pushed them around in a chair.
and it sucks because there are people up there that legitimately need to use a wheelchair.
Totally.
And they're taking chairs away from people that literally they don't have the ability to walk or they don't have mobility issues.
These are the people that I agree with.
Let them go on first.
Let them get off first.
But maybe you need a doctor's note or something.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know either.
But I can tell you what's not going to happen is Canada's not going to get invaded.
Great.
Great comment in the show.
I'm not going to read it out loud, but this is really a bang.
I've said that before.
Have you?
Okay.
Yeah, I've said that before.
At least twice on this channel.
So we also had
Snap Elections called in BC.
Love this.
And E.B. decided what the heck
this past week, it's September 22.
It's time to go to general election.
This is just a little bit two years after the last
general election.
So they're about a little bit past a halfway point.
lots of
things they could have done
with this particular
parliament but they chose
not to do it.
Either way,
they say this is a necessary step
to secure a strong,
unified mandate
in the face of mounting
external challenges.
And they're saying that there's
trade issues.
I hate this guy.
Now, this is a hateable politician,
this guy.
And he's arguing
that British Columbians
need stable leadership
to protect local jobs,
industries,
and provincial sovereignty.
The timing of this move is rather interesting because of note, the BC Conservatives, which is not a very big party to begin with in terms of overall popularity, their leader resigned.
Carrie Lynn Findlay, she resigned.
Was kind of forced out by a blackmail threat?
I think I saw.
I don't know.
There's a video of her husband saying or doing something untoward, I suppose.
Is that the story?
I don't know.
I read a little bit about it on Twitter, but there's no details.
obviously.
Yeah.
So the fact that
resigned and then shortly
thereafter, they decided
the BC NDP decided to
do a
snap election.
And they did a snap election
in an environment in which
they still have a majority.
It's a slim majority,
but they have a majority.
So it's not like they can't
push through whatever legislation they want.
They have the mandate.
They have the mandate.
Yeah.
And they're saying that
voters are saying
that cost a living,
is out of control, healthcare access, stuff like that
is the real issues here.
And some polls are even showing that people
are going to punish the NDP, B, CNDP because of this.
Can't say, you know, a long way before the election is going to be called it.
It's October 24th.
It's not that long.
I think they're losing in the polls to the conservatives, right?
Eight points, you said?
Is it the conservatives or liberals?
Liberals are a pseudo-conservatives.
conservative there.
I think it's a leader.
Yeah, they installed
the guy.
Yeah, they have a work in, I think his name is.
He's like the most milk toast.
But the thing is that he's kind of,
so without knowing a ton about this, okay,
they install this guy who
basically has like no
definable boundaries in his
you know, in the,
and his personal policy ideas. I don't know if that
applies to the party or what, but
it's going to be hard to paint this guy as like an extremist of any kind or, you know, dead set
against or for some policy because it just doesn't seem to me like he's got any edges on him.
I don't, like, again, I've only looked at this for like two days, maybe.
Obviously, like I just said, I had a fucking busy weekend.
I'm exhausted today.
But I think this is a good strategy?
I dare say this is a good strategy because it's hard to put this guy in a corner.
He's like water, you know?
He's just kind of, it's just flowing around the issues of the day and around the arguments.
And Evey, you know, I think he's already made one big gaffe.
He got on stage behind the podium yesterday or on Saturday and said,
it's never been more important to buy Canadian sport Canadian.
He was wearing a Patagonia vest instead of a Canadian brand.
No Lulu, no, even though that's like from his home province, obviously.
So interesting.
Yeah, he's, that guy is a fucking retard.
He's fucking brutal.
I think the other problem he's having is that the things that he really made central
artifacts of his previous campaigns,
environmentalism and Aboriginal relations,
both of them are polling it under 6% or under 5% I think I saw.
So it's just those things are not important anymore.
He's fighting the last battle, right?
He's a relic of a different time.
And I think he's probably going to lose.
I mean, that's the, if I was also, if I was Prime Minister Carney,
I would be fucking pouring
human and financial resources
into making sure this guy fucking loses.
He's a nightmare for the entire country,
both because of the stupid shit he does
with the aboriginals and the stupid shit he does
with our natural resources
and blockading the ports.
And he runs maybe the worst port on the planet,
I think the BC ports are some of the worst in the world.
So like get this fucking guy out of there.
He's a loser and a clown.
The danger is if Carney does any sort of meddling
or the federal liberals do any sort of meddling here
is if you looked at the latest polls,
federally, if you believe this to be true,
they are polling at an
extremely high level.
Yeah, ungodly. Yeah. And if
they are going to sweep
not sweet, virtually
sweep BC, they are going to be
the majority seat holders,
liberals in Alberta. Yeah.
If you believe these polls to be
correct. Maybe. 260 something
seats. Pauliev and his
wife are making fucking Cuevo
takeoff meme videos.
Like, tell me if you heard that
one before Len, that might be fucking way over
your head. These like Cuevo
takeoff in the studio, the colors performance from like
two or three years ago, where they put themselves
in there instead of the two guys from
the two guys from
what's name of that group, Migos.
The conservatives have never been more cucked in this country.
It's like an embarrassing party at this point.
The capital C conservatives are just
a fucking joke, man.
Talk about diluting the ideas.
You know who's ratioing almost every single conservative party tweet at this point is that guy, Daniel Tyree from the Dominion Society?
Like, I think more and more people are coming around to that way of thinking for better or worse, I guess.
I don't know what the outcome there is going to be.
But I think that the conservative party as an institution is like in more danger of becoming irrelevant than they have been in my entire life.
I don't know if you feel the same way.
Well, the party, if you recall, they merged.
Yeah, yeah. Canadian Alliance, right?
And then with the PC party.
And so the PC party was down to, it was, I forget the total number of seats.
They had seven or something before they merged.
It was, you know, things change quite a bit with Canadian politics.
The political spectrum is now very different in what a liberal 25 years ago, 25 years ago,
is now considered, I would say, right of center.
Yeah.
And before I was running a right of center of government, I would even say, I would even go that far, honestly.
There's still a lot of foreign aid.
Give them time.
Give them time.
I don't know.
We'll see.
And all I know is that the liberal party, there's an opportunity soon, I think, to trigger an election to say that, look, we got to get a stronger mandate.
and they could try to do what EB's done,
but they probably, if they do that,
they'll take a little bit of hit,
but just because of how strong they're polling,
how weak the conservatives look.
Also, if you look at the latest polls,
it shows that the NDP and the block
are going to be below official party status.
You're essentially wiping off every party from official party status,
except for the conservatives,
who are probably going to get around 50 to 60.
seats. That's rough, man.
And, you know, if this continues,
can it be that they could just wipe the floor
and get just about every seat in Canada?
Why not? Why not?
Carney, he, you know, if you look at
so, for example, like this
associate membership with the EU,
Canadians
love this idea.
70% who are polled
say they are in favor
of this and they say only 13%
are opposed to it.
Which is funny because
people, people,
People like this idea, but this membership, this status hasn't even been defined what it is.
You know, people, I mean, we're bad for this for a number of things, right?
Don't forget there's also polling that say Canada was correct to walk away from the trade agreement.
It's like 70% of Canadians poll think that.
We don't even know what the deal was, Len.
These people are just saying that it was a good idea to walk away from a bad deal.
They'd never seen the deal.
This is no different.
We have two sides of the story.
one is from Carney saying that they've changed the terms
slightly before they put pen to paper
and something to do
was it to do with the mail?
Then show us. Then show us.
But it was certainly changing the terms
and then the other one was
you heard Team Trump saying
they were offered the best deal
of China just got a deal just a few days.
Everybody's getting deals except for Canada.
But just to go back to this
associate membership with Europe stuff,
I just don't want to leave this story.
If you look at the people who are in support of this,
it's seniors, nearly 80% of seniors, love this idea,
specifically from the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
I guess they want it to potentially have free movement of,
they could go somewhere warmer because they have money.
Seniors tend to have more money than younger people.
I'm guessing that.
I don't know, but still, nothing has been defined here.
And so if you ask these same people that were pulled,
and if you give them concrete compromises that were introduced
so they even what if this happens what if that happens
only 25% of people would support the deal
right people like it because it's undefined
but if you start defining it and people are like hey
I don't like that I don't want that
don't be such a pessimist land we got to be glass
you've heard of glass half full how about just glass full
I just got information man that's all they want
and I want people to be informed too
And when they are informed, they can make an informed decision.
And I want to make an informed decision.
The fuck does this mean to be an associate member?
I have no clue.
It's like in the office.
You're not the assistant manager.
You're the assistant to the manager.
That's the distinction.
I love how, I think we talked about this before, but it's worth mentioning it again.
We have been bombarded with pro-Canada sovereignty propaganda at Infinite Item for the last two years.
basically nonstop.
And now these same people who have been like talking about how liquor's not on the shelves,
shit, even people in my own life are like, you're going to go visit.
I was thinking about going to Vegas in October with a couple of my cousins.
I don't know if that's going to work out.
But it never once crossed my mind to not go because Donald Trump is the president.
This all blows up shit.
But every boomer I talk to is like, you're going to the States.
Why would you go to the States?
This is not a concern of mine at all.
I don't give a fuck about any of this.
I don't care what you think.
But these same boomers are willing to just.
like donate the sovereignty of the country to the Eurocrats and the sort of Euro tards, the
Euro pores, who have done nothing but just completely like guillotine their societies and their
industries and their cultures and their economies for the last 30 fucking years, you know,
while they sit in Brussels and give each other fucking hand jobs under the table.
It's crazy.
Like what are we doing, man?
I was talking to somebody about this and this whole associate membership and then laying out,
look, it's got to be passed in the European Parliament.
It could be vetoed there.
It's got to be passed by all 27 individual parliaments.
It's going to be passed by the Canadian parliament.
And this guy flamed it in an interesting way.
He said, you know what?
There are countries in Europe that are pissed about this.
They weren't consulted.
This side-swiped them.
But they could be, their arms could be twisted to be made, to vote for this to go in favor to go through.
He said, what if?
What if you tell them?
You said, look.
any new asylum claimants that come in
they just simply before they get processed
relocated
relocated where
west
imagine these countries that are getting these asylum claims now
don't like they're you know
social services are tapped out
and they don't they can't take any more
and they get this this deal
or they say you know what any new ones that come in
go there
yeah they might vote for this
they might say yeah
Oh, my God.
Right.
It makes total sense.
It's like,
go to Canada.
Go to Canada.
And I would actually,
I would be furious about that.
That would,
that would be something that would accelerate my leaving,
like 100 X speed.
Yeah.
I would go fucking,
then you might,
then you might find me paying 100K for a fucking passport.
You'll sound like to have a platform.
That's what I think about it then.
At that point,
it might be on the table.
Yeah.
Maybe.
Maybe.
So.
Well, I'm not sure if you heard, but Starlink is now, oh, God.
Yeah.
Well, Canada told the New York Times that Canada is trying to reduce its resilient reliance,
sorry, it's reliance on Starlink because the rationale is less dependency on U.S. and U.S.-based companies.
And plus, there's also the security concern if you use foreign-controlled infrastructure for this.
This is such a farce, by the way.
Such a farce.
Like, I wonder how much secure information is sent on Canadian,
built phones.
Zero because there are no...
Jim Ball Silly might be the only guy using a Canadian
built phone in 20206. It's not
Canadian built. It's just Canadian
in name, right? When they were still
probably building in China, I'm guessing.
RIP, the 9300 was one of the
best phones ever made. Okay, anyway.
And so, yeah, they plan
on continuing with the homegrown
solutions like the Telasats.
This is going to be something that
they're going to be investing into that.
that way they could continue
rolled out broadband to places
like in remote and northern areas
that I got so much to say about this
I have so much to say
it's just
And also they might also partner up
with European partners like one web
And so this is another option out there
But I can't
It's funny because you hear this
They don't want to do a foreign control
But you know European
I don't know
What the hell do I know
Fucking kill me
what are we doing?
Let's get one web
Instead,
how many fucking rockets
Has one web shot and landed
Fucking zero,
okay?
How many one web
How many one web
SFDs are out there
On the road,
zero.
You know what's funny about this?
We had,
Ontario had a contract
with Starlink
for rural Ontario.
I know.
And we stopped it,
I think last year,
I would guess last year
we ended that.
Yeah,
I heard you did this year last year.
So whatever.
So we end that contract.
There's a couple of things
worth noting here.
One of them is,
a little less obvious than the other.
The more obvious one, I think,
is that this is like just such a boneheaded, elbows up, nonsense thing.
And we don't actually care about getting the rural internet.
What we care about is protecting the telco is more on that in a second.
You know how many satellites, telosat, telostat has in the air today?
I wouldn't have a crew.
But the way you're asking me.
I'll tell you how many Starlink has.
Starlink has about 11,000 satellites.
Globally.
Yeah.
So how many think Telesat?
has. The way you're asking
it, I'm going to say zero. It's 15
and they're all like two generations
behind. So the internet
you'll be on dial up,
right? It's not even going to be ISDN. It's going to be
56K, 28K
without the cool sounds. Without the
dubstep connection anthem that you
get before you connect.
But I think what's actually happening here, and I can't
remember if I said this on our show or on Ben Show,
I really think the Canadian government
is gearing up to do
a full scale protection
playbook for the telecom companies.
And the thing that's the biggest threat to telecos right now is retail mobile devices
being satellite enabled and being able to get off the rebellious, you know, plan
dictatorships that are out there.
I think more and more people are looking to the states and going, why the fuck am I paying
$100 a line for mobile in Canada or whatever people are paying?
When in the States, you know, you get a line at T-Mobile unlimited everything for $30.
And the reason is because everything here is a monopoly and we protect it under the guys of,
well, we're a small country.
We have to protect our companies.
Fuck that.
Rogers is not broke.
They can pay fucking Vladimir Guerrero, $500 million hit two home runs or whatever that
fucking guy hit this year.
They can pay to fucking compete against T-Mobile and Verizon and Sprint and whoever else.
That goes to that saying.
I think what's actually happening here, though, is that they are.
worried when retail devices become sat enabled, people will just leave the telecom companies.
Now, in your head, you may think, why is that a big deal? They'll just compete on price.
They can't. Those are big dividend paying stocks. The only reason anyone owns those stocks is because
the dividends. And you know who owns a bunch of that shit? CPP. And I think that more and more
the CPP is coming under pressure from our American counterparts, not because of any specific
American policy decisions, but because the freedom of movement, both in terms of like subscription
dollars, device buying, all that stuff is moving away from the stuff these guys have in their
portfolio. I don't think there's any doubt about that. I really think the Canadian government's
going to make a full push to make sure that no one in Canada is using Starlink, especially from
mobile before the end of the decade, I would guess. They'll do whatever it takes. They will do
whatever it takes. That'll be conservative and liberal, by the way, for sure. Goal,
Rogers. Go Bell.
Yeah. Yeah.
Tell us.
You see that Guerrero interview? What did you think of that Guerrero interview?
He's partially right, but he's a, you know, it's a very douchy way of doing it.
Big time.
Because let's be honest, nobody is paid for future performance because you can't predict.
I mean, you predict it, but you can't guarantee it.
It's all based on like age, work ethic, body type, like all this shit.
And what you've done recently.
So that's what they've done it with Guerrero.
And so, like, certain that's the way it is.
That's what it's too bad.
Now they're stuck with this albatross of a contract.
$500 million.
You don't think anyone wants to take that on?
Is there, is there, there, there's no cap in baseball?
Come on.
Doesn't Cashman want to take that contract?
Is he still in New York?
Who's the, who's the owner of the Yankees now?
It's not Cashman, is it?
No, Cashman's the GM.
He was the GM.
Is he still the GM?
I think so.
Is it the US Network Steinbrenner?
Little Steinbrenner, maybe his kid.
right. Steinrader died.
You know, Patrick Beck, David also
owns a small portion of the New York Yankees.
A big, a bigger portion of the Ziole.
Yeah, it's, I have no idea, but I hate PBD.
Anyway, all right.
Let's do one more story and then go to,
oh, let's just do Hamilton, Brandon Man.
No, no, I got a couple of beauties.
You want to hear?
Oh, fuck, okay. All right, all right, all right.
So this guy, Shane Ertmode.
For what it's worth, when we're done the show,
Len just gets to sign off, I still got to fucking do the editing.
So he's like, yeah, a couple more stories.
Come on. Why not?
These are beauties, though.
These are beauties in a bad way, though.
So this guy, Shane
Ertmod, and if I
butchered his name, I don't really give a fuck.
Because this guy's a fucking loser
because he sexually assaulted and killed a 10-year-old
back in 2000.
Bad, bad.
So this guy who's serving
a life sentence
for first-degree murder,
Joey, incredibly,
was granted a 60-day
unescorted.
Oh, this is the cooking class guy.
disheart to attend a cooking program.
Buddy was denied parole just last year
because he was still deemed to be a
or opposed to be a risk to harm,
do serious harms to other.
But still they granted him,
at least they revoked it now,
but at the time before this came public,
60-day unescorted pass
to attend a cooking program.
The mother of the child that is now gone,
she came on.
In tears, and you can hear just how pissed and, like, saddened she is by,
she said she, the only way she could visit her daughter now is at the graveyard.
The 10-year-old is never going to see 11, never going to drive a car,
never going to do a whole bunch of things because this fucking loser decided to,
for whatever reason, not only sexually assault her, but kill her.
And I can't believe somebody in their infinite wisdom decided to look at all the evidence,
Denied parole last year to say, you know what, let's let him go to the cooking class.
This is the kind of guy that you lock away, you get the key, you shave off that fucking
key so it could never be opened again, and he's stuck in there forever.
And I wouldn't bat an eye.
And you know what?
I'm surprised that prison justice didn't take hold here.
But this is the state of Canada.
This is where we are right now.
And that's, I'm going to pile the two stories together.
The second one, we have the correctional services of Canada.
obviously they oversee all the penitentiaries federally in Canada.
They started to distribute a new thing in prisons.
They're paper straws.
Kind of laugh at that, but the reason is for safer drug snorting.
Because right now, the makeshift items that people are using
is causing internal nosebleeds or the translation.
Why are there drugs being snorted in jails?
What is that?
The fact that...
They're giving up on the contraband and just making it easier to do the drugs.
That's the plan.
They're saying, here you go.
If you're going to do it, at least use these paper ones.
You're not going to get sick.
The health services training, they're going to be doing the training to people beginning
October 1 and full implementation by October 13th.
These are...
This is what's going on.
You have, number one, the guy killed the little girl.
going to go cooking classes
and then on top of that,
they're letting people
they're giving up.
They said, you know what?
If you're going to do drugs,
if you're going to snort cocaine
or whatever the fuck it may be,
here's paper straws so you don't get sick.
Let them get more sick, right?
Like, they're in there.
Like, whatever.
It's, this is Canada, man.
This is Canada.
And here's where we are.
Amazing.
Why isn't that first guy
just being like boiled alive
in a bad of acid on televised,
you know, like in the town square?
Obvious penalty for something like that.
And then to give up on, like, it's not enough that you, so here's the thing, right?
They say that, like, it's just like, how is it possible that people are getting drugs into prisons at such a level that you have to provide safe use paraphernalia to the prison population instead of just stopping the fucking drugs?
Well, it's impossible to stop it.
Why is it impossible?
Are prisons not very difficult to get in and out of?
Clearly.
They're definitely hard to get into.
You can't get in through a fucking judge in Canada anymore.
So how are you getting in?
What are you air dropping in?
You can't get a fucking prison date anymore in this country.
I have no idea how they're getting access to this stuff.
But clearly people are finding creative ways to doing it.
And it's being done.
Right?
Like, whatever.
I fucking hate that story.
Those are both terrible.
That's terrible stuff.
This country is fucking gone.
Anyway, yeah.
Let's talk about Twan, 256 heat.
Tuan does not sell paper straws, although maybe if you ask him for one, he might have one handy, I don't know.
But he does sell the best hashing heaters in the game.
How do I know that?
Because I have one.
And Len, we're supposed to get summer weather again this week, which I can't believe this weekend next week.
But after that, I think it'll be time to turn it on.
And I'm looking forward to it.
Why?
K.C. free sats.
Heating your house, your garage, your gym, whatever.
I'm going to move my stuff into the garage here pretty soon as well to not wake up my toddler when I'm lifting weights in the morning.
and I am very much looking forward to having Twan's unit running.
It is bespoke for your use case, for your, for your heating needs, for your electrical
outputs.
Nothing is prepackaged, nothing is, you know, submitted PDF or to form, none of that stuff.
Twan will go through this with you, talk you through your setup and your install and make
sure you get exactly what you want.
He just sent us a picture of a recent install he did.
Looked slick.
I mean, as if I tell you, look slick, look great.
The unit looked good.
The install looked good.
everything looks good. The guy's a wizard.
256E8.com. Tell them we sent you.
Get a bit of a discount. Start
heating your house with hash rate.
I cannot stress enough.
We talked about it on this show a bunch today.
K-Y-C-free Bitcoin, invaluable.
Do you have enough? Do you want more?
This is an easy way to do it.
Go pay him a visit.
All right.
So we have the Hamilton versus Brampton Man segment.
And thank you to Wilhelm for providing one of the two stories.
I had to do an audible on the other one.
But here we are.
So we have story number one, man charged in a romance scam that defrauded victims of more than $250,000.
This is tough already.
And police have arrested a man in connection with a romance scam that investigators say cost its victim more than 250K.
And the investigation began with an alleged theft of checks from a business.
Please say that the stolen checks were deposited into a spoof bank account, which led investors to a
large-scale romance scam that utilized various online dating platforms and involved the same suspect.
And according to police, the scam had three victims in Canada and one in the United States.
And police say that the suspect used a variety of aliases including Donald Duke,
Nathan Douglas, and Peter Anderson.
And so police arrested the suspect, believing to be behind his fraud,
and they found fraudulent documents and other evidence during the,
the execution of a search warrant.
And the guy was also found in possession of a Ford's password and fraud over $5,000 he was charged with and money laundering and other things as well.
So that's story.
Okay.
Story number two,
police connect open doors car in viral highway video to break-ins.
Oh, this is for, this is going to be easy.
Okay.
Yeah, we're good.
Yeah.
So please say they have made a connection between 80s.
viral video of a car driving on the highway with its doors open, carting a load of wood,
and they tied this together with a series of break-ins.
I mean, that's just 30 behavior.
That's 30 behavior.
I like the direction this is going.
I feel good about this one.
Okay, keep going.
Keep going.
So there was a video that was posted on Facebook of somebody driving on a highway with its
rear doors of the open, rear doors wide open.
And they posted it was a viral video.
and so in addition to the back open doors,
the trunk was open,
was propped open,
and in it would look like a piece of furniture that was sticking out.
And police said that the video was used to help identify the car.
And strangely enough,
that car was involved with a series of breaking and enters.
So police, they went to the home and took the vehicle
and they say they arrested a 42-year-old man and woman
and they've been charged with breaking and entering.
And so, yeah, the man and women have been seen driving around the compound, according to Bliss,
prying open commercial businesses for Gates.
And, yeah, what they found inside the house was 1,000 pounds of bulk steel with an estimated value of so much money.
Like, it's quite a bit.
And then, yeah, there you go.
So, number one, the romance scam.
Number two, the doors wide open on the highway that led to,
a series of break-ins.
Who's the Hamilton and who's the Brampton Man?
I just want to note here for Wilhelm and for you.
The Hamilton versus Bramton Man
was meant to be a pseudonym
for
like something we all understand.
And it feels like we've gotten away from that,
which is causing me, if I go back in the history of the segment,
okay, the reason I'm losing
is because we're placing the Brampton Man
in Hamilton and vice versa.
and it's costing me in my win-loss record.
My kill-death ratio is declining here
because you guys are sort of finessing the original intent of the segment.
These are legitimate.
I'm not saying they're not legitimate.
I'm saying the Brampton man, you know,
operates in many different jurisdictions,
but the likelihood, like the whole point was for you to give me a Brampton man story
where he's operating in Brampton,
and a Hamilton man story where he's operating in Hamilton.
And I don't think, I think we've gotten away from the,
spirit of the game is all, okay?
Both of you guys.
This is what happens when you got away.
Got away from the spirit of the game.
Now that said, I do think
like anything related to scrap metal
and poor vehicular
like poor vehicular
what is the word I'm looking for?
Not ethics.
The quorum, let's say.
Generally this is the Branton man
responsible for these things.
But I don't know now.
because the romance scam and the names,
the names of the romance scam
just seems so poorly chosen, you know?
Like Peter Anderson is so easy.
Donald Duke, Nathan Douglas?
Like clearly a fake name.
You know, my name's Nathan Douglas.
You pick the firsty firsty.
Canadians and Hamilton men in general knows
that firsty firsty is like a meme.
And so you try not to go with a firsty firsty, right?
So I'm going to go against my intuition here.
I like this.
I like this.
That the Hamilton man
is the scrap metal
breaking doors open on the highway guy
and the Brampton man
is the romance
Peter Anderson scammer.
You're 100% right.
Great.
Yeah, see.
And I only know that
because I realize now
that the spirit of the game
has been tainted so badly
that I have to ignore
this other way of thinking
and just start thinking this way instead.
See, you got a really big deep
and whatever you're thinking,
call an audible and say no
we're going to do a run not a pass
and here you go the draw plate
got you first down
wonderful thank you all high
for the story yeah I had to call it audible
on one of the stories they provided
I don't think I could have used it but
it's all right they were both good still
they were good thanks for listening watching
everyone's you know a couple hundred people here as always
I appreciate your time on a Monday night
especially when there's football on
which is what I'll be doing shortly after this
I have to get milk tonight
I have to edit this show tonight
and I have to watch the football.
So I'll be doing that.
The rest of you guys, take care.
Don't do anything that we wouldn't do.
And we'll see you same time next week.
And all the usual...
And don't forget to use paper straws in prison.
Remember that used paper.
Yeah.
