The Chaser Report - Where are we? A quick update
Episode Date: October 2, 2025Dom drops into the feed with a quick update about where we are (taking school holidays off, as is our practice now), and gets very distracted by all the new Wankernomics gigs that Charles is selling o...ut across the UK, Ireland and NZ, as well as the new shows they're doing in MELBOURNE and SYDNEY this December. There is pretty much no more information in the episode than this, but feel free to listen if you really want to hear Dom trying and failing to contain his sense of cosmic injustice about Charles' massive success. Hello and welcome to the Chaser Report with Dom and without Charles.
I just thought I'd give you a quick update on what's happening with the feed
because it just seems to have stopped if you go and look at it.
The reason is we agreed this year, Charles and I,
that we should take breaks during the school holidays.
We've both got kids.
We like spending time with our kids most of the time
and it just seemed sensible to occasionally halt the daily fire hose of content
for a couple of weeks here and there throughout the year.
the plan for this year. But hey, there's more than 1,100 previous episodes that you can go back
and take a look at if you really want to hear more of us while we're gone. So there's that
going on. The other thing that's happening at the moment is that Charles is back in the UK doing
even more Wankonomics shows. So if you happen to be there or know someone who is, you can go to
wankanomics.com and see some of the places where he is. Now, I can't quite believe I'm saying this,
but he is selling them out at an absurd rate.
If I look at the UK schedule here,
I didn't know this.
They're adding more shows in London and Dublin
for next year already.
But they're playing, so Cardiff sold out.
This makes me ill, seeing this.
Two shows in Leicester Square, both sold out?
Four shows in Bloomsbury?
I used to live in Bloomsbury.
Why do they like Charles so much?
I don't know.
Swindon sold out, Portsmouth sold out,
Cambridge is sold out
Nottingham
Birmingham all sold out
Inverness you can get to
If you can be bothered
Shrewsbury wherever that is
That's sold out
Oh my God
So yeah anyway
It's going very well for them
But they've also announced
Some shows coming up in Australia
So in Melbourne on the 11th of December
In the Hamer Hall
That's still available
And forget the Amour Theatre
In Sydney on the 13th of December
Special final performance
Of Just Touching Bass
So they're keeping going
There's even shows over in New Zealand
Which I'm very pleased to say
haven't sold out yet. They've just been announced for February and yeah, as I say, shows in
Ireland even coming up in April. So it's going ridiculously well for Charles. We are going to
keep doing the podcast but what we've done this time because Charles has just so much going on,
such a busy tour schedule is some of the episodes that you'll hear when the feed comes back
at the end of next week are pre-recorded. They're ones that we've already recorded.
There's some really fun ones actually that I'm looking forward to people listening.
to, including Charles and I having a random idea of starting a venue at some point.
I don't know whether this is possible, but hey, maybe he wants to invest his suite
where economics money in that.
Anyway, that's just about all that there is from me.
I just wanted to, well, as Charles's show is called, I wanted to just touch base with you.
I wanted to thank you for listening to the podcast.
We really enjoy doing it.
But being daily, it is good to take break sometimes.
But don't worry, we'll be back all too soon, really, in the feet.
with some episodes that we've pre-recorded, but also I can say we are going to do some fresh
ones, things like the paid weekend editions.
If you haven't subscribed, by the way, feel free to jump on that if you'd like to.
But we will catch you soon with some new content in the feed.
So we'll speak to you then.
There you go.
Enjoy your school holidays.
Whether you have children or have the delight of having your time to yourself.
And I'll catch you next time.
My name's Ryan, this is my best friend Tony, and together we do the Tony and Ryan
podcast.
Montreal, bonjue.
People right across Canada are listening to our daily podcast, though, but don't just take our word
for it.
Jamie from Vancouver.
I think people should listen to the Tony and Ryan podcast because they are hilarious.
There's no better comedy than Australian comedy they are on hand.
Thank you, Jamie.
But just be warned if you're going up for a walk, you might laugh your ass off in public.
But it's worth it, trust me.
Oh, yeah, be safe out there.
Yeah, take it easy.
Yeah.
But listen to Tony and Ryan.
every day.
