The Chris Cuomo Project - How Trump MANUFACTURED the Perfect Political Crisis
Episode Date: June 12, 2025Chris Cuomo breaks down why the protests in Los Angeles are a manufactured crisis that serves President Trump's political agenda while distracting from real issues like the economy and interest rates.... He argues that Trump's federalization of the National Guard is unnecessary theatrics designed to make him look strong, while the left's protests—contaminated by pro-Palestinian flags and property destruction—hand Trump an optical victory. Cuomo warns that both sides are playing dangerous games with selective outrage, comparing protesters to insurrectionists when it suits them and ignoring their own hypocrisy. He sees America's political divisions manifesting physically in the streets, creating conditions that could lead to catastrophic consequences. Plus, Dr. Kirk Elliott (Owner and Founder, Kirk Elliott Precious Metals) discusses how to protect wealth during uncertain times through tangible assets like gold and silver rather than hackable digital currencies. There are things they're not telling you about what's happening in Los Angeles and elsewhere
around this country. And I'll give you one hint. There's about to be more and worse,
and you have to understand why.
I'm Chris Cuomo. Welcome to the Chris Cuomo Project. Now, if you're somebody who doesn't
understand why this is happening all of the sudden,
and it's kind of like turned you off,
so you've tuned out, good.
Because that means you're still a critical thinker
and you understand that this seems highly contrived.
However, most of you are probably watching
and are outraged.
The question is why?
There are two groups.
One is, I can't believe all these people in the streets and the lawlessness and how they're
destroying everything.
And here we go again, like George Floyd or one of these other BLM things.
They're going to think what they're going to think.
And they're being fed by very different people.
I have a message for the other group who is looking and saying,
what just happened now?
What did Trump do?
What is Newsom doing?
What's happening?
Again, what is this parade that's about to happen?
Whose birthday is it?
What is it?
Here's the message for you.
There are things that you are not being told that you need to understand and then use to make
your own assessment of what is going on here right now. No tinfoil hat, no
conspiracy, but let me just start with this, okay? This is all happening right
now for a reason and let me tell you something, if you think that this is a
show of strength against Trump, you are wrong.
Trump wins what's happening right now,
and arguably not for the right reasons, all right?
Let me break it down kind of observation by observation,
but I will start with one gross assessment, okay?
Do you know why so many MAGA people are putting out,
like James Woods, like legitimate thinkers,
are putting out fake video that is not from right now,
even though there's plenty of stuff to show from right now?
Because they want this to be seen as bad as they can.
Why?
It is a weapon of mass distraction.
That's what this is.
Why talk about the economy, tariffs, prices,
what's happening with interest rates,
the wars that are getting worse, not better,
the fomented tension with Iran, the political upheaval,
the craziness with the budget bill
and what it is really about and what Elon
and him getting sideways with Trump is really about,
why talk about any of that, when instead,
you can show how crazy the left is,
and show law and order, right?
I'm there, this Newsom can't control his people.
Now, California is suing Trump
for federalizing the National Guard.
What does that mean?
You'll keep hearing that phrase.
National Guard gets introduced three ways.
One, governor asks for it.
Two, the governor asks the feds for it.
Three, the feds do it themselves.
That's this one, federalized.
Why?
Two things, you got to employ Posse Comitatus. That's this law from the 1800s,
which basically means no military does domestic law enforcement. We don't do that. We don't
turn the army on our own. Second is that this is a violation of the Insurrection Act. Once
one of the loopholes, well, Trump is using it under Title 10 of the U.S. Code, which
is what? That he is unable to protect federal authorities or have federal
law be enforced, courts, ICE. So he has to bring them in. That's what he's using. Is
it a mistake? Depends. If things get worse and people get hurt because of it, yeah, it
was a huge mistake. And it may seal Trump's fate going into the midterms if this becomes
the major point of cataclysm in this country. However, right now optically it's a win
because it's lawless, it's crazy,
they're only showing you the images of bad things.
And remember, it only takes a little bit.
So next point, let's be on record,
you and me about where we are on this.
Here's mine.
Simply stated, protest, good.
Touch person or property, destructively, bad.
Rioter.
Are both going on in LA and in other places
around the country, yes.
Okay, in what percentages?
Doesn't really matter politically.
Once you have any percentage of it, it's all riots.
And the resistance, oh no, it's overwhelmingly,
it's mostly protests.
Doesn't matter, a little bit goes a long way.
Do I think protesting is fine?
Yes, and there are many who believe protests
are supposed to be peaceful,
meaning everything that's said, you're okay with.
It's not, they're angry people
who are gonna say angry, hostile things.
They're gonna spit.
And the idea that when they spit, we hit,
first of all, just because it rhymes,
doesn't make it righteous.
And for the president to say that, violates the law.
Now he can say it without violating the law,
but to act on it, I gave them a rule.
If they spit at you, hit them.
That's a bullshit thing to say, and cops can't do that.
The National Guard can't do that.
It's not a legit rule of engagement
Don't be distracted by that bullshit
And let me tell you if he was so worried about rudeness if he wants to call these people insurgents
which is what he's doing now to give some kind of
patina of legal justification for bringing in the National Guard
So these people are but January 6th wasn't. Now, by the way, I don't think
January 6th was an insurrection because I don't think those people had any meaningful
plan to overthrow the government. And certainly the people in Los Angeles and elsewhere in
the country right now don't have one either. But it just shows you the game of advantage.
It just shows you. It never ends. What they tell you is disgusting one moment. I can't
believe they look at January 6th and say, this is an open rebellion when it's really
just what they were doing with BLM.
One minute they can say that, the next moment they do the same fucking thing because it
works to their advantage.
It's all politics.
Both sides do it.
Trump is doing it in very egregious fashion right now.
Do I think the National Guard is needed in Los Angeles?
No, I do not. Do I think it is wrong to have it? No, not necessarily. Depends what they do.
Newsom suing one thing. Talking the way he's talking about come arrest me,
the smartest move that he hasn't done yet at least, call for the National Guard yourself
done yet at least, call for the National Guard yourself and then control them. So take it away from Trump.
You should ask for the National Guard.
Have them provided to you and then you control them.
Keep them.
You see what I'm saying?
So now you take the authority away from Trump, right, because it's going to be redundant,
and you'll have all those troops together
and you'll have influence over the whole.
That's what I would do.
But that is also just a discrete aspect of this.
Support comes from I restore.
So I have been using all of it.
I've been using the helmet.
I took the supplements and I am using the hair treatment.
Okay, I'm doing all of it.
And so far, so full.
This is something that I'm concerned with like most guys
and plenty of women.
You get older, your hair gets thinner.
The iRestore Revive Plus Max Growth Kit, it's like a full-on
hair care dream tea, okay? It's a root to tip deal. The Advanced Hair Growth
Formula, the Thickening Shampoo, Thickening Conditioner, I'm using both of those as
well, really like the scent by the way, really dig it. And the Growth Activator
Serum, okay? Been using that, it's pretty easy, it's not gooey,
not that same like Rogaine feel that I used to get when I used that stuff a hundred years ago.
Give yourself the gift of hair confidence. For a limited time, subscribe and save for 25% off or
more, plus free shipping on the iRestore Revive and Max Growth Kit. And remember, my listeners get a huge discount
on the iRestore Elite.
That's the helmet I'm using.

Tell them that I sent you.
Hair loss is frustrating.
You don't have to be frustrated frustrating. You don't have to
be frustrated and you don't have to fight it alone thanks to I Restore.
Here's what's going on. On one side it's a distraction. On the other side it is good
intentions gone bad again for the left. And here's why. Do they have a right to protest
what's happening with ICE? 100%. All day long. Is it right that they protest ICE?
Yeah. I think that there are real arguments to be had here. Why? Because ICE
is evil and they're a Gestapo and they're a secret police force. No, no, no.
None of those. Don't say defund them, don't say get rid of them,
don't say no ICE, that's bullshit.
You need law enforcement in this country, okay?
Especially our poor and more vulnerable
socioeconomic communities and classes.
They need law enforcement more than you may
if you're more wealthy.
Now, ICE is being used wrongly by this administration.
How?
Too much, too soon, on too little.
We were told the roundup would be about bad hombres.
If it's just about finding everyone who illegally entered,
we're gonna have more chaos
than we're gonna have benefit from this.
I've been saying this since Trump made the promise, okay?
Look, it is easy to argue that you're just enforcing the law
and you entered illegally, you gotta go, okay?
I get it, I get why that works politically,
but it's also really simplistic, okay?
A legal entrance, it's not like, hey, you kill somebody, you kill somebody.
You got to do the crime, do the time. This is not that.
Oh, but it's a crime to enter.
You may commit crimes every day, depending on how you drive and how you live.
Not all crimes are equal.
Now, they are being asked to round up millions of people as fast as they can and get rid
of them because he wants to show results before the midterms.
That is unfair to the ICE agents and it's unfair to you.
The answer to the riddle of how did Obama, they keep pointing to Obama, he deported 3
million people.
Why are you saying it's wrong to deport?
It's about how.
It's not wrong to deport. It's not wrong to deport.
It's not wrong to deport bad ombres. It's not wrong to deport anyone who's here illegally,
depending on how you do it. So what's the answer to the riddle of how Obama deported
three million people and no one seemed to have a problem with it? It took him eight
years. That's how. Because he did it the right way. Meaning what?
Following the law.
Following due process.
Trump wants to do it in a fraction of the time.
That's why he's using all these crazy devices and stretching the limits of the law and pretending
that the courts and Congress are trying to keep him down.
That's bullshit.
It's not bullshit to wanna deport people. That's a political choice.
But to deport all of these people,
many of them are useful to communities.
Many of them have been paying taxes,
going into schools and looking for kids.
This is not what was sold as the bad hombres, okay?
And I don't know that it's the right use of resources, but these are political questions.
But that's why people have a legitimate gripe about what ICE is doing.
They're doing more in places that don't speak to security.
The idea that, yeah, but we got to get rid of these people.
They're ruining the economy.
Bullshit.
Bullshit.
Yeah, no, no, no.
They're taking more than they give.
Bullshit. No, I mean,, they're taking more than they give. Bullshit.
Nomi, they're killing people. They're criminals.
Okay, by your one is too many standard, which you apply to nothing else, by the way.
No, but Lake and Riley, oh please. Please, of course. You should feel bad.
Of course, any time a kid loses their life, young kids, student at Georgia University,
doing great things with their life, going on probably to big dreams, it's terrible.
And he should have never been here.
Even worse.
But that is true when you have a DUI.
That is true when you have somebody who dies by accident.
That's when someone with a stray bullet, the way kids die all over this country all the
time unintentionally, but one's not too many for that, right? It's just political expedience. And if you give a
shit about who's killing our young women, illegal entrants are not the top of the
food chain for you. Yeah, but they're not supposed to be here, so should we get rid
of them? Fine, get rid of all the bad guys. That's not what you're doing. So
there is reason for political dispute. There is reason for protest.
Not for riots, not for being violent, not for being what you say you oppose, not for
doxing ICE agents.
But you have to start looking at the selective outrage on both sides.
See the game and see how you're being played. And the price is
getting higher and higher. Why selective outrage? If you want to protest ICE, fine. If you want
to get angry and get out in the streets, okay, that's your right. Why are pro-Palestinian
flags at the front of the parades? What does that have to do with ICE? Why is the left allowing itself to be co-opted
by fringe bullshit agendas
that are not serving their stated purpose?
Why am I seeing support of things of Hamas
in an ICE protest?
Oh, well, we don't control it.
You light the fire, you then have to own the burn.
You light the fire, oh no, no, Trump lit it.
No, this is your choice to take to the streets and protest.
And I am not criticizing the choice,
but how you do it matters.
Same mistake he's making with how he's enforcing the law.
Why do you have these people?
You're giving Trump exactly what he wants.
You look like savages. giving Trump exactly what he wants.
You look like savages.
You look like people who are against the country and are against law enforcement.
And you're supporting fringe, radical, violent elements of extremism.
Why? You're surprised that the Jews are upset
at the Democratic Party when this is something
that is supposedly done in its name?
Oh, we condemn all violence.
If you build it, they will come.
That's what happened here.
And look, Trump bringing in the National Guard is a typical, it's like the tariffs version
of national security.
I'm just going to throw something in there that looks strong, that looks tough, and without
thinking through what's going to happen in second and third order of effects.
What happens if they get into a tangle now and they hurt some people,
they kill some people? Well, good, that's what they get. Really? You really don't think it leads
us somewhere worse? Really? This is what we want in the country right now? And you're going to have
a military birthday 250-year parade, which coincides with Trump's birthday? Of course,
people are going to go and protest. This isn't about the military. He's co-opting the military for his own personal effect.
It's a recipe for disaster.
Support comes from cozy earth. I love my bamboo sheets and I'll tell you why.
They make me feel good from a green perspective
because it is so sustainable. Bamboo sheets as a textile means we are not
destroying the environment the way so many other textile makers are. Now in
terms of user experience I just dig that a sheet has technology because I will
tell you something when it's hot,
they do help me feel cooler and vice versa.
Right in the wintertime, it definitely works.
And I don't know if it's the viscose from bamboo
or the naturally wicking away, you know,
that we see in all of our kind of performance gear now,
the sheets have that same capability,
but they just help me sleep more comfortably.
A little bit cooler in the summertime,
a little bit warmer in the winter time.
Luxury should not be out of reach.
You should be able to do good and do well
with your purchases, and that's what Cozy Earth allows.
Go to CozyEarth.com and use the code CHRIS,
and you'll get up to 40% off
Cozy Earth's best-selling temperature-regulating sheets, the apparel, and more. Trust me, I
back Cozy Earth for a reason. CozyEarth.com code CHRIS. Sleep cooler, lounge lighter.
Stay cozy. None of this gets us to a better place.
And it's not designed to.
It's designed to show that Trump is a desperate,
and it's designed to show that the left is demonic.
It's just about advantage.
None of it is about advancement.
No one has a better idea.
Because we're not in the business of fixing.
We're not in the business of better.
We're in the business of worse.
We are in the business of worse.
And it's selective.
Why?
Where's the...
You want to have a hand in the appropriation of someone else's oppression.
Why not Sudan?
Sudan?
What's happened in Sudan?
There's millions of dead and displaced people.
There's a cleansing going on in Sudan.
Why don't you give a shit about that?
But you care about Gaza, right?
The numbers aren't even close to the scale.
Is it wrong to care about Gaza?
Fuck no, it's not wrong to care about Gaza.
Is it wrong to paint Israel as a genocidal menace?
Yeah, it is.
And I'll tell you why.
On one basic level, if someone hates a type, they eradicate it everywhere they can, right?
You don't allow ants.
If you want to dehumanize, right, because that's what genocide is, you have to dehumanize.
You have to see them as a thing that you can get rid of.
You have to forget that we're all connected.
You have to forget theology.
You have to forget humanism.
You have to forget ethics.
You have to forget morals.
You must forget it all and surrender it in favor of a bullshit proposition that advances
your kind over every other.
Fine.
Do you kill ants that you find in your kitchen, but not in your living room?
If you want to kill ants and you put all the traps, you only put them in the kitchen and
then you allow them to walk around in the living room, is that what you do?
Is that it?
Because that's what Israel's doing.
Right? You're calling people ants. I'm giving you a metaphor so you can understand it in a way that is as pathetic and as reductive as what we see going on with this very, very complicated issue.
So you have two million of the people they're trying to kill in Gaza as citizens with full rights in Israel,
being protected as they go to and from places of worship
by the IDF within Israel where they're citizens.
But it's a genocide.
No, it's only a genocide in Gaza.
Ah, so the same people that they want to eradicate in Gaza,
they allow to live in Israel as citizens
because it's just a land grab.
Oh no, I thought it was a genocide or it's a land grab and a genocide.
What?
You see what I'm saying?
It's selective outrage.
And then you don't care when you have bigger numbers and a more egregious
thing that's going on that wasn't precipitated by the people being
victimized and you ignore it.
That's selective outrage.
Why?
Because it's branding. It's
brand extension. That's what the pro-Hamas movement is. They have branded themselves
as the oppressed. Why are people protesting in Gaza against Hamas? Because that's how
desperate they are that they want to blame the people who put them under the yoke of oppression in the first place
Oh, but Israel funded Hamas who gives a shit
What they did back in the day when it was first starting you want to know who doesn't believe that Hamas as a terror
organization was ever supported
by Israel
The Green Prince whose father was one of the founders of Hamas and he was
his main lieutenant until he had this change of head and heart when he was in
prison and saw what Hamas was doing to its own. He says they never supported
him as a terror organization. They were a political alternative to a terror
organization and then they became one themselves. That's the truth.
See what is happening for the manipulation that it is. Trump calling in the National Guard is not necessary. It is wanted for effect of crazy, radicalized,
oppression, stealing suckers is not how they want to present
to the rest of the country.
You are giving Trump a win optically.
You are creating damage of property and person.
You are looking like you're anti-law enforcement.
You are looking like you're anti-law enforcement. You are looking like you're anti-law and order.
And that is not your point.
Your point is that that's what ICE is being
by being forced to overextend and overreach
both legally and ethically.
That's your point.
And that's a salient point.
And it's one to make.
People can disagree,
but it's a legitimate debate to have.
It's something to make. People can disagree, but it's a legitimate debate to have. It's something to protest.
100%. But if you look, you will see that that is what is going on here.
And again, they are not all protests. There is rioting going on because they are hurting people
and they are destroying property. Oh, but it's just a little bit. It doesn't take that much to ruin the perception of the whole. Okay?
And again, as soon as you have pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas, and all these other countries flags
up there, you are being what you say you oppose, and you are giving your political opponents
high ground.
I don't know why the left did it this way.
Look, you don't need me to tell you that there are a lot of unknowns when it comes to what's
going on with our markets and our money.
Things just are not in a good place.
Inflation is up.
How much?
Well, it depends on the day.
Banks, borrowing costs, prices,
everything that's going out there right now
is really hard to predict.
And we all have the same question.
What do we do to protect what we have?
That's why more and more people
are turning to gold and silver.
Because they're not make believe, man. They're not some digital thing that some guy can just hack
and it's gone forever. It's real. It's proven. It's tangible. It doesn't just crash with the
rest of the market. It is the oldest tried and true hedge. But here's what nobody tells you.
hedge. But here's what nobody tells you. Just buying gold is not a thing. You got to buy the right kind, okay? Because you can buy the wrong kind. Like what? How
about those flashy coins in the TV ads? Oh, it's a collector's series, right? Or
you know, some celebrity says, oh, this is what I do. Yeah, ask them how much they
really have. These gimmicks are built to make someone else rich, not you.
I want you to hear from Dr. Kirk Elliott.
Two PhDs, one of them is in theology.
Think about that.
When's the last time you met an investment guy
that has taken the time to study their religion. No gimmicks, no commissions when
you sell, okay? He does it differently and I would say he does it the right way. And
you wind up getting an option to buy real bullion that you can actually use. Right now
Dr. Kirk and his team, they're partnering with me at KEPM and offering free consultations.
No pressure, just straight talk. Go to KEPM.com slash Cuomo and take control of your future.
Knowledge is power. Get smart, get moving before the next shock hits.
before the next shock hits.
Now, oh, this is all over-aught, it's dying down. The worst is yet to come.
This, here should be the headline.
What we are seeing is what we have allowed.
It's not just about protest, that's a right.
What we have allowed are the politics
that poison dialogue with division.
This is what we have become.
Outrageous, unreasonable, reckless behavior in conflict.
Los Angeles is American politics. This is where we've arrived.
That's what's going on here. It is all manufactured for effect of agendas, not for positive change,
not on either side. Trump does not have the National Guard there just to protect ICE and
to allow federal law to function. That's not it. He wants to look strong and like he's putting down the left and controlling Newsom. That's what it is. It's not a bad political play,
but it's bad for the country. And is it illegal for him to do it? Maybe, maybe not.
But let's be honest, if you voted for Trump, I don't know how much you really care
about what he's legally allowed to do and not do as long as you like
what he's doing.
Let's be honest, because so many of you are like, oh, fuck due process for people who
enter illegally.
That's not the law.
No, no, no.
They never intended this.
They never intended birthright citizenship.
Oh, really?
So now the people who said you must respect the plain reading of the Constitution because
the founding fathers were all geniuses now say you got a reading context.
Now you're a bunch of lefties.
Come on.
Come on.
The National Guard has taken over Los Angeles under Trump's direction.
He has taken over law enforcement.
No, he has not.
That's not true.
They're not carrying out civilian law enforcement.
They're protecting ICE agents and they are supposedly making sure that federal law can
still function.
Is this a little BS?
Yeah, but they are not running around policing the way you're saying they are either.
The truth has to be enough.
Do you know how much worse by orders of magnitude
Rodney King was in this?
Do you know how much worse what we saw during the BLM,
George Floyd stuff was than what we're seeing right now?
Why do we keep forgetting what the fuck we've been through
in this country so that we can learn and do it better?
Why do both sides have to keep repeating the same mistakes?
Trump calling these people insurrectionists.
This is why I say he never has philosophical or moral high ground.
It's all expedience.
It's all advantage, not advancement.
So you shout down them calling the people on January 6th insurgents, but you call protesters and rioters in Los Angeles insurgents.
You're doing the same thing.
You were right that they were overdoing it about January 6th,
as scary as it was in the moment.
And you're now doing the same thing now because you're no better than what you criticized in the first place.
That's the truth.
James Woods using fake video and all these other people running with fake video, you
are no better than what you say you oppose.
You are a propagandist and a puppet, just like the other side.
That's all you are.
It's just about advantage.
Newsom saying, come arrest me, but leave these communities alone. Listen, put in better systems to control the immigration within your boundaries.
Do better with law and order. Have better ideas. But I got to tell you,
you got to be careful, federal government with California.
Let me tell you why. You can say what you want about Newsom.
That state economically gives the whole more than it takes.
Okay?
That stupid movie, Civil War, which I hated, there's a reason California and Texas combined.
They got the right combo there.
The rationale in the movie was absurd. But you have two states that give more to the whole
than they take.
You gotta be careful, we got a fragile thing here.
And we keep fucking with it.
Okay?
And don't tell me all you're picking on James Woods.
Ted Cruz retweeted the same fucking thing.
He doesn't have good enough access
to know what's real and what isn't.
He doesn't give a shit.
He's just playing to advantage, to division,
to fomenting like everybody else.
Okay?
Newsome points out that the videos from 2020,
James Woods says, yeah, I'm only using it to
show you've been good at doing the wrong thing for half a decade.
Bullshit.
Bullshit, James Woods.
Supposed intellectual, no people in common, they tell me how smart he is, and why are
you being so stupid?
Why are you being so mouth breathing lowest common denominator on this?
It's all division.
It's all manufactured.
It's all branding.
That's what we're seeing in the country right now.
And here's the worst part of it.
Not only is it a distraction from what we should be talking about that Trump doesn't
want to, so this works fine for him.
Fine for him.
Sure, if you flip the R and the D, Trump would be saying, oh my God, they can't control their
own cities. Philly, New York, LA, what's going on? And then he has a parade. I know that's
the hypocrisy of it because all that matters is that you say the other side is worse. It's
not about real high ground. It's not about principle. It's just pragmatism of the moment. See it for what it is.
Demand better and don't be a part of what makes us worse. And I'll tell you why it bothers me so much
that we keep making our own problems here. It's the ultimate
enriched privilege that we create problems in this country when the rest of the world
is really struggling with real systemic and cultural things. That's a real problem that we create problems in this country when the rest of the world is really struggling with real
systemic and cultural things. That's a real problem that we don't have yet, but we're going to.
Fundamentalism is on the rise, my brothers and sisters. I am sounding the alarm. And when you
do shit like this and justify it the way you are, you make it easier for them to spread their ideology.
We're already halfway there.
Violence is the answer.
That's the American way.
Look at what happened in the streets.
Look how Trump responded.
Lock him up, fuck him up, spit, you hit.
You sound like fundamentalists already.
You're going that way.
Trump is a despot.
He's got to be taken out.
Put the crosshairs on him.
And then you're surprised when the guy, some psycho jackass, takes a shot at him?
We are setting ourselves up for bad shit. They are not telling you what this is really about
and how it's going.
And I see it and I know what it is
and I've seen what it really is in other parts of the world
and I've seen what it can be here.
And I've also seen what can solve it.
And unfortunately, I hate this.
I hate it, I hate this. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. Do you know what gets
us past all this left and right and back to reasonable? Us and them back to we, from parties
and sectarian and political rifts to just being a nation that is all a huge, deadly, catastrophic crisis.
That's what we're setting ourselves up for. Something that is so big, that is so ugly,
that is so painful, that it snaps us out of transports and,
oh, you know, a baby in the womb is everything
and everything's rigged and everything about democracy
is bad and everything's gotta be destroyed.
When somebody comes and really wants to destroy it
and you with it, then you will wake up
and you will say, holy shit, I am now joined with the people
in America in a way that I never thought umbilically, inexorably, inextricably interconnected
and interdependent because somebody wants to kill all of us and take what this place
is and destroy it.
That's what happened on 9-11.
We went into the wrong country and killed the wrong people for a long time
because of that exigency, that fear.
Now I don't want to see that again, but that's what's going to happen.
And I think this time it's going to come right from in here.
And it's going to be this crazy amalgam of unlikely partners who have all different kinds
of agendas and philosophies, but they all hate the same shit, the power structure.
And they want to take it out and destroy it and then see how they can play to advantage
afterwards. I'm telling you, it is happening and we are feeding it in ways that we are aware and unaware.
Every time you have a social media movement where they're like, you can't believe anybody
but else, you're playing to the fundamentalists.
Every time that you allow your dialogue to get so cheapened and debased to the point
of, fuck him, fuck them, fuck this, own this, own that.
You're playing right into the hands of the people who don't want you to be able to reason through
anything. This is what we are seeing as a symptom right now. We are laying the groundwork for our own demise. That's why I'm against the
parties. That's why I'm against this fundamentalism that we're playing to in our politics. Because
we are feeding, I mean literally, it's like a bad movie where people are dancing around
pretending to be a monster, ooh you're scaring, ooh, you're scaring me. And meanwhile, there's a real fucking monster
sitting in the woods watching them.
And when they're exhausted from what they're doing
and not paying attention, it comes out of the woods
and it eats everybody and burns down the camp.
That's where we're setting ourselves up.
And no, I don't think it's alarmist.
It is real.
You know, in a really crazy, crazy way,
apropos of Iran, go back, spend five minutes Googling
how Iran went from Persia to where it is right now.
That was a robust, diverse, multi-faith, multi-cultural place. Fundamentalism came
in and now that place is just an empty shell of itself. We could go the same way. I don't
think so. But when I see what's happening in Los Angeles and in these other places,
and after you see
this, I'm telling you there's going to be more.
Why?
Because we don't have the counteract.
We don't have the counteractive dynamic.
We're not disgusted with it.
So there's going to be more and more because it's working.
Right now this is working for Trump.
He's not talking about what's hurting him, and this is actually helping him.
And he's showing his opponents to be worse than he is.
To people who are looking on that I addressed at the beginning,
that I don't get this. What the fuck is going on? Why are they doing this?
Those people look. Trump isn't the problem. He's the solution right now.
Now, is that true?
No, because what precipitated this, what ICE is doing, is a forced situation that's too
much, too fast, in ways that are too aggressive, and that's all Trump.
And yet the optics are terrible, and they're going to continue, and we are setting ourselves
up to be taken out.
So take it seriously.
Not for what you're being told it is, but for what you see it as.
See it for what it is, not what it's being sold as.

So I have identified what I see as the problem, but I don't want to be the problem.
We can't be distracted by what's happening on the ground in some places when we need
to discuss what's happening every place.
Our economy has created challenges for us because of actions of the federal government.
You can like that or not like it, but that's where we
are. What do you do about it? Well, when there is insecurity and there is a flight to safety,
when there is a need for value, when there is a need to deal, we now have a competing rationale.
Do you go to where we have gone traditionally, when you need safety within
your investments, within what you're keeping for your family, within what's in your retirement,
or is there a new safe space called crypto and blockchain? That is the big division of
thought for some. I want to bring in an expert, my partner and friend,
Dr. Kirk Elliott, to talk about what is really safe in uncertain times. How do we deal
with the economic tumult? Instead of being distracted by what's happening on the streets
and the flavor of the moment and how well Trump's making all this money in crypto and everybody's
in crypto, shouldn't I be in Bitcoin? Isn't that the way to do it? There's a lot of messaging out there
on the ground, on the internet, in your head. What is value? What is real? What is safety?
Dr. Kirk Elliott has been studying these questions for decades And I wanted to talk to him about what we can do
when there's so much that's outside our control.
Here he is.
Dr. Kirk, a couple of things are going on
that didn't make sense to me.
So I had to bring in the big guns
so that I can understand what to do for my family.
And I know there are a lot of other people out there
with the same questions.
Well, thank you so much for having me.
Let's navigate through it.
One thing I've been hearing from my sophisticated friends who are in finance that I want you
to explain to us is, you know, they see gold and silver.
You say that there is a, there's not a symmetry, but there is a synchronicity and that there's
a complementary relationship
developing with crypto.
They made a different point which is hacking is going to become such a huge part of finance
because once it's all digitized, they don't know why hackers haven't been holding more people hostage,
but their ability to get in and that they see whether it's barrels of oil or gold or
silver as one of the last protections from that. And I used to say, but every movie is
always about people pulling off a bank heist and they're like, yeah, look how hard it is.
He's like this hacking, we don't even know what happened until they send us a note and say, by the way, we just seized all your
accounts, pay us this. And he said, you have no idea how often that happens. And that's why
gold is shiny to them, you know, once more or more so. Do you agree with that? Why? And what is the answer for people who say,
well, I don't even know how to do this.
Like, well, what am I supposed to take gold
and put it in my garage?
So do you believe that it matters more now
in this crypto world because of safety?
And if you want to invest this way,
what does it require of you?
Yeah, I mean, the hacking part, you know, decentralized, you know, they say, oh, it's
hack proof.
Well, then why did Coinbase just get hacked by like $400 million last week, right?
It's like, whenever you have anything that's digital, computers are getting really, really
smart and you just have to be careful, right?
So if you have something that's tangible,
something that's real,
you don't really have to worry about it,
but let's not, we don't even have to just stop with hacking.
If something is digital, look what happened to,
I can't remember which centralized exchange it was
where people had their cryptocurrency stored.
When the Russia Ukraine conflict started,
anybody with a Russian IP address got blocked
from their money, right? Because it was a political, it's like, we don't like how you believe.
So people say, well, that's great. We don't like Russia anyways, right? So it's like, you know,
but fast forward to what if they don't like the political party that you give to?
What if they don't like your gender identification?
What if they don't like the church that you tithe to?
What if they don't like anything?
It's easy to flip off a switch based on ideological differences.
So you've got hacking, you've got digital social profiling.
Right. And so all of that is a danger in a digital world.
I don't care how safe people say that decentralized
and blockchain is, right?
It's still digital.
Computers can figure it out.
So tangible assets fills up this realm of,
yeah, it's still private, very private,
and you can either take delivery of it at home
or you can store it at a depository.
Somebody's got to take delivery of it because it's a thing.
So to me, not all depositories are created equal, right?
Just because it's there and it's a vault and it's really safe and the guys from
Ocean's 13 or 11 can't get into it, right?
It doesn't matter.
You have to have certain elements.
Number one, segregated storage.
Number two, singular ownership.
Don't ever have anything where it's jointly owned because you own it.
So do they just like any bank that you have right now.
Right.
When you put deposit a thousand dollars in the bank and you have all the hundreds
in there, people assume you open up the big steel bank vault door and hundreds
just come flying out.
There's nothing in there. They're using it to buy real estate companies, invest, loan out to other people, and they're just hoping and praying not everybody wants their money out at the same time.
Same thing with depositories of gold and silver. If it's jointly owned, they can lease it out,
they can send it to other countries, they can do whatever they want. So it needs to be singularly owned, segregated into your name, fully insured,
you know, like through Lloyd's of London, who's not an insurance carrier,
it's an aggregator, but they might have 30 or 40 carriers insuring everything.
And I would look at those kind of things.
This is why we vetted the depository that we used.
And I mean, we had all kinds of choices. We chose excess precious metals depository for that because of those reasons.
So then there's a charge for it. Are they overcharging you for the storage or not? I
mean, we've looked at all of them and we picked this one because it's very cheap to store.
Like for every 100,000 you have stored, it's like 350 bucks a year.
Right. And it's, if you don't have that much, it's not that much, right?
If you have more, it's going to be more, but you can store it that way through an
IRA, like most people don't think that you can have physical metals in an IRA.
Well, you can.
I'm not talking about ETFs or mining shares or mutual funds.
We're talking about physical metals that need to be stored.
They have to be stored in the depository.
So if you're talking about the wealth that you've accumulated in your retirement accounts,
you better have safe storage for it.
Well, we've vetted those and picked the one that I think is best because we're a very
large company.
God's blessed us tremendously, Chris.
I mean, I pinch myself every single morning.
It's just a guy that wears jeans and a t-shirt and have tattoos.
But we have a message of hope in a dark world.
We have a message of logic.
It's not just faith.
It's not just this hopium.
It's like, why do we do what we do?
That's because it makes sense.
Right. We can't change in a macro effect, politicians minds, unless you have a
really, really loud aggregate voice.
Um, you can't change a lot of the geopolitical nonsense happening all over
the world, but what you can do is identify it and act accordingly, take
advantage of you, your own personal assets.
And that's what we help people do. So I would say, yeah, it's, it's safer, so to speak,
to have metals that are physically owned. Now, the reason I would say that that's not
generally a case is I've got little old lady client from Manhattan.
I don't want her going to the post office, picking up a one ounce of gold walking down
the street.
I'd be afraid she's going to be mugged.
Right.
Right.
So everybody's different.
I've got clients say, Kirk, you have no idea the neighborhood I live in, I have to store
it.
And I've got clients say, I don't trust anybody on this earth.
I'm never gonna store it anywhere.
I'm taking it at home.
Great, we can help you either way.
The half of the equation is being in the right place
at the right time.
The other one is your peace of mind,
which we can help accomplish no matter what your goals are.
And Dr. Kirk, let's say people already have
investment advisors and people work in their money.
What is your ability to work with other financial advisors
and be part of somebody's portfolio?
Do you have to be all in or can you work with guys?
Oh, I find what I have in common with everybody
and focus on our commonalities rather than our differences.
I'll work with anybody. Now, whether they'll work with me is a different story, I find what I have in common with everybody and focus on our commonalities rather than our differences.
I'll work with anybody.
Now, whether they'll work with me is a different story, right?
Because a lot of times they'll say, oh, gold and silver, it's an ancient relic.
We only want you to do paper because maybe they're an assets under management kind of
a model and they don't want to lose anything, right?
So you have to sift through that.
But the answer is, yeah, we can work with anybody.
Now, if that client has assets in paper
with one of those advisors,
you have to pull out the part
that you're gonna put in physical metals.
So you can have, like, for example,
as many IRAs as you want.
You can have personal storage of physical metals.
You can have it at home and you can still have your paper
and your crypto and everything else.
The part that we would manage on physical assets,
physical gold and silver,
would probably pull out of that portfolio.
It always ruffles a little bit of feathers,
but you always have to realize it's your money, not theirs.
And you do what you feel comfortable with doing.
Dr. Kirk, thank you for making this more understandable.
There's a lot of information out there.
It doesn't mean that it's necessarily truth or wisdom.
So thank you for helping make sense of things
and explaining it and giving people an option
of how to find security and stability for their families.
Oh, it's my pleasure.
If anyone has any questions, call our office,
go to the link and we'll help you out.
We'll bend over backwards to help.
It is a little surprising to hear how susceptible I was
and maybe you are to being sold that there's
a new way to protect yourself that may actually be more risky than anything else. But that's why I
partnered up with Dr. Kirk. In uncertain times where lots of mixed messages are coming, it's nice
to have a fair broker who tells you who he is and what he's about and why, and then you can make
your own judgments.
That's what we need these days
because everybody's throwing agendas around
and it's hard to know what's real.
So my friends, the challenges, we see them.
You can't sit back and be passive.
You gotta be active in your own existence.
So let's get after it.
Thank you for joining me on the Chris Cuomo Project
for subscribing and following. I need it and I appreciate you
I will see you on News Nation. I really need you there 8p and 11p every weekday night. Thank you for joining me there
Thank you for joining me on the sub stack
And if you want your comments and your questions to be addressed by my guests and me in real time you subscribe
And I'm using the money there and from those of you who want to wear your independence and buy free aging gear, I'm taking it and I'm using it to help people get
treatment for long COVID who can't afford it and to crowdsource contributions we can all feel good
about. The guy Pete, Umudibazi, who was on my show, who's fostering all these people as a thank you
to America for the life he was given. I gave him 10 grand. That came from the money that I made
from the Substack and the free aging gear. So thank you. Thank you for being part of this solution.
I'll see you soon.
