Hi folks, this is Foss here from the chrisfossshow.com, the Chris Foss Show.
Hey, coming here with another broadcast from CES 2019.
Oh my God.
And we are here, of course, doing lots of booth interviews, previewing some of the most
coolest, most innovative stuff.
And we're here at Secure Data, their booth in CES you can come to the South Hall at the LVCC booth number 35064
so you can take and preview these guys and all the cool stuff they have here
and I'm with Michael Michael how you doing bud I'm doing well how are you
doing good thanks for having us yeah thank you for having me so Michael you
guys have won some awards you guys got some cool stuff going on. Yeah. Tell us about what you guys are doing. Yeah.
So we got a couple of awards, CES Innovation, Honoree Awards.
That's awesome.
And the cybersecurity and personal privacy category.
So we won them both for two different products.
We have the secure USB Bluetooth here and we have the secure drive BT here.
Same functionality, just different capacities, obviously different form factor.
Yeah. But what makes them really unique compared to other hardware
encrypted storage devices is that you actually authenticate these devices with
a mobile app. Oh, okay. So an Android phone, Android or Apple phone or tablet, and
what's really unique about it is that, for instance, let's say you have
financial information on here and you lose it.
You can actually open up the app and have it remotely wiped from anywhere in the world.
Wow.
It's technology that only we have.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that's really good, especially if you lose something.
I was talking to a guy earlier who lost his phone.
Oh, yeah.
And being able to wipe, you know, all this military-style grade stuff for encryption.
Yep, you said it exactly.
It's military grade, actually, specifically AES XTS 256-bit encryption.
Cool.
So we actually just got FIPS validation on this product here.
We will have FIPS validation across the whole line within a couple months as soon as our government shutdown is over.
So that's, you know, something that we're having an issue with here.
We're in luck.
I was at Pepcom, and I talked to a gal from Russia.
She's going to talk to Putin.
We're going to see if we can get the government.
Oh, there we go.
Yeah.
You've got to talk to the comrades.
Internal connect.
Yeah, you're exactly right.
Share presence.
I get that.
Yeah, perfect.
Hey, maybe tell him about the drives, too.
Maybe he'll buy a couple of these.
We'll send those over.
He might hear what he knows.
Just talk into the mic. Yeah, gotcha, gotcha. In Russia, the TV watches you. about the drives too maybe we'll buy a couple of these he might he already knows just talking to
mike here in russia the tv watches you um so anyway you've got these super encrypted drives
and you got a lot of different variants of you guys got the usb you got to get these bigger ones
you got one to the keypads right on them yeah and these are probably really secure where i can
yeah so we have the keypad usbs as well keypad USB and keypad hard drives they're pretty simple
you know you plug them into your computer you enter in your 7 to 15
digit pin or passcode and it's unlocked cool and there's certain security things
implemented so if somebody finds it and they say I'm just gonna keep guessing
the password until it's unlocked once you enter in 10 consecutive 10 consecutive passwords it's automatically crypto erase so wow we can be assured
that all of your information is totally safe that goes for our entire line of products um but yeah
we essentially have two different kinds we have the keypad and the bt but uh our bluetooth products
are really unique something that we only have so we're really excited about it. Now are there different commands I can program into like the keypad one where I can say like
set the number of something if someone misfires the thing? Sure, there's certain things you can
do. You can set an inactivity lock. So from one to 60 minutes of inactivity, it will automatically
lock. There's also read-only mode. There's also you can set separate admin and user
passwords so you can have multiple users there. And with the Bluetooth drive you can set actually
a proximity lock. Really? So yeah so if you're sitting at your desk and you're working and you
get pulled away if you have your phone in your pocket as soon as you step 10 feet out the drive
will automatically lock. Nice. And it automatically unlocks when you return to your desk.
So super easy to use.
Again, that's a function that only we have.
So what are the variants of sizes that I can get, say, with the drives and maybe with the USBs?
Sure, yeah.
So we range for our USBs from 8 gigabytes to 128 gigabytes.
Wow.
And then for our hard drives, we have both SSDs and standard spinning disks ranging from
250 gigabytes to 8 terabytes.
Okay.
What about brute force?
Yeah.
So brute force anti-hacking on all of them.
So if anybody gets them and they try to enter in the password, if they do that incorrectly,
it will automatically crypto erase.
That's good.
Yeah.
You got to keep your data safe safe especially if you're working with my
company secrets right any government contractor secrets or you know just
about anything else in this world right you know on people getting all your data
a lot of our data has our identity on it this is really good and then they've got
the little USB drives that also have the keypad on them there exactly so you can
lock them and everything basically keep basically they keep everything cool.
This is really neat.
You guys won the Innovation Awards.
Yeah, and a part of that Innovation Award
is because with our Bluetooth drives,
both the hard drive and the smaller USB drive,
this one right here,
they have the ability to be remotely managed.
So if you're some sort of corporation
and you have, let's say, 100 drives,
you can put geofencing on those drives. So I can make this only available to be unlocked in Las Vegas the moment
somebody steps outside of Las Vegas with this drive it cannot be unlocked so if
I decide to fire Bob on Friday I can shut down Bob's that's exactly it you
can shut down his user credentials you can remotely erase Wow you can set time
fencing so you can make it so
it can only be unlocked from 9 a.m to 10 a.m eastern time zone yeah hey bob's over at the
competitor shut down his drive that's exactly right he's flipping on us yeah so that's really
cool bob's at home going hey why isn't this working right now the uh no it's really cool
the technology they have out there and it it's probably super fast, I would think, in transferring.
Absolutely.
Especially SSDs, you know.
Yeah.
If you're transferring a lot of heavy files, I would recommend going with an SSD.
But, you know, if you're just a standard consumer, a regular spinning disk will work perfectly just for protecting your regular documents and pictures.
Yeah.
I love SSDs, too, because they're just so whipping fast. Yeah they're great and they're very thin we have the
thinnest hard drive encrypted hard drive in the market. Wow. Nothing is this
thin available today. And it's really thin I can just put it in my pocket. Yeah exactly.
Fits in your purse or your pocket. Nice. Exactly. You can take your hard drive
with you wherever you go. Gone are days where the the giant bricks right right i used to buy in the old days to buy the giant brick and it was like 300
megabytes i i mean it megabytes right it was like this is the guy it's amazing you can get up to
eight terabytes and uh something this thing now it's incredible so anything else we need to know
about what you guys are doing well Well, we also do data recovery.
We actually started as a data recovery back in 2007.
That's how we thought of these products as a form of return media to send back to our clients who want extra security.
We have hospitals contacting us.
We have people with sensitive information all over the world that contact us to recover their data. So we thought of this as a way for safe transport until they get that data back to them, just
as insurance that everything that they have will be safely returned.
That's pretty cool.
Yeah.
All right.
So where can we find you guys on the interwebs?
You can see us at securedata.com.
Specifically, if you're interested in our products, you can go to securedrive.com.
Awesome.
And you guys can always come down to CES show 2019.
If you're in town, you got to have a badge. You can come down to CES show 2019 if you're in town, you got a badge.
You can come down to booth 35064.
They're in the South Hall of the LVCC, the Las Vegas Convention Center.
And say hello to Michael and the team here.
Check out their honoree awards and we'll see you guys next time.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
