Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi folks, Chris Foss here from thechrisfossshow.com. Thanks for tuning in to the podcast. We are here at Cedia 2019, the Cedia show in Denver, and we're interviewing all the cool booths that you definitely want to check out. We are here at booth number 4403TN. We interviewed them actually earlier this week on the podcast, so check that as well. Craig, how are you doing? It's good to see you again. I'm doing great, Chris. Thanks a lot. Thanks for coming back and seeing us here at Cedia. Awesome sauce. Now, we got to talk to you over the interwebs on the podcast and see you guys' product. But I got to tell you, it's really super cool to see these functional pieces in form in real life.
Starting point is 00:00:39 Fantastic. Great. Yeah, we love it. We're having a great response here at the show. We've been swamped all day. New customers, old customers, everyone's coming by to see us. So it's been a great time here at Cedia in beautiful Denver. And you guys are one of the real big, I think, leading disruptors of intercoms and technology in that field.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Yeah, many of your viewers may not know who 2N is. So I'll give you a little introduction. So 2N is a 28-year-old company headquartered in Prague, the Czech Republic. We were acquired by Axis Communications. Axis is the number one IP camera company in the world. So that's what brought us a lot of resources from a tech support standpoint and overall business standpoint. So what 2N does is we design, build, and market the world's best IP intercom technology. This technology, we think, is the best, has allowed us to grow to be number one in the space in North America and Europe, and we continue to grow year over year so we have solutions for really every application out there if it's a school
Starting point is 00:01:49 or a school district we protect schools we we provide applications and solutions for single business offices all the way up to Fortune 50 headquarters, as well as in the MDU space with apartments and condos. And what's the website people can check you out at? Yeah, find us at 2NUSA.com. You have all our information on there, how to reach us, how to purchase our products, and all the technical support you need. So let's walk through some of the cool, stylish products you guys have here. Great. Let's take a look here.
Starting point is 00:02:25 These are really nice. Now, if you've seen these old, nasty intercom machines from, like, 50 years ago in the old buildings, these are a total disruption and innovation to those items. Yeah, it's not the old intercom world anymore where you used to play with the intercom as a kid and you'd call your brother in the other room or harass your mother. These are security systems today where they integrate within all the other solutions in a building, verifying who comes into that campus or that building before you let them in. So let's take a look at one of them. This is our top-of-the-line product. Really beautiful. This is called the Verso because it's versatile. So it comes in a two-module or a three-module version.
Starting point is 00:03:10 We'll show you the two-module here in a second. These modules can be replaced with one of 12 different modules. Wow. This is our virtual touchscreen, so it's very responsive. You touch it, and you bring up the phone book. Up to 10,000 users in the phone book you could break this down by building or floor or however you want to you can also search by name or company by pressing on the different letters and
Starting point is 00:03:37 it'll bring up the the phone book as well as a pin code so if you want to put in a pin code for extra security or just to let someone in, unattended deliveries, that type of thing. So if you're a cleaning lady who has her own pin code maybe? Exactly, yep, yep. Or you're having boxes delivered by Amazon, you can give out a pin code. The bottom module in this case is a Bluetooth RFID combo reader. So again, we have 12 different versions of modules. This is one of them. We have a Bluetooth standalone. We have fingerprint for bio. We have different flavors of RFID as well as a virtual keypad and a mechanical keypad.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Awesome sauce. All right, so what do we have over here? So next, next is the Verso, just in a different form factor, just to give you an idea what it looks like. So this is the two-module Verso. We actually have two of them lined up next to each other. So again, the brains are in the units up above. So the HD camera, HD audio, and all the brains are in the units. Unlike many different intercoms on the marketplace, we don't need any other device, any server or anything else. You plug in a PoE cord and you're good to go because, again, the smarts are in the device themselves. Okay. Then we have standalone access control. So, again, Bluetooth and RFID. have standalone access control so again bluetooth and rfid we have a keypad and rfid and a mullion
Starting point is 00:05:09 style uh reader again these are you got a picture you can't see it here but they're an inch and a half deep by this size and that is a standalone access control for a building for 10 000 users wow geez wow so big companies can handle this and everything else they can all have access? Yeah, it's great for big companies. It's great for small Ma and Pa stores, integrated into schools, wherever. You've got the mobile app as well there? We have a mobile app as well. So the intercoms call somewhere we're open and that's
Starting point is 00:05:47 one of our strengths is we integrate with all the other solutions in the marketplace other third-party sip phones we have our own free software to pop up on your pc you could call our answering devices as well or let's say you're at a school and you're trying to get in and you're dialing the receptionist and the receptionist is away so you want that to roll over to other people and then eventually roll to the guard's phone who's walking around the campus so we can do that through our cloud service that's awesome so let's walk around the booth to the other side right we have some other devices on the other side here. All right. Yeah, this is some cool stuff.
Starting point is 00:06:28 So as we start over here, so you see our selection of answering devices. Okay. We have an audio-only answering device for more economical installations. We have a mid-market answering device called the Compact. This is awesome for the MDU apartment segment. So we just launched this last month. The reception has been phenomenal on that product. And then we have our top of the line
Starting point is 00:06:59 seven inch Android based answering device. You can add third party apps apps on to that and all of our intercoms obviously interconnect with it and we'll work with all of them nice nice these are all beautiful I mean just so much better looking than some of the old stuff you see that you need a tetanus shot let me let me just make a couple points here because these are some of our partner devices as well. This is Crestron, Control4, Savant as well. We integrate with all the home automation companies that are in the marketplace. Okay, awesome. Finally, a couple other form factors for our intercoms. This is
Starting point is 00:07:38 our force unit. It's IP69K rated. And what the heck does that mean? It means you can submerse it in water. You can beat it up with a baseball bat. We have videos of it being run over by a truck. So it's super robust. It's great for high vandalism areas. It's great for truck gates, anywhere that's out in the weather. It has a 10-watt speaker. So, again, if you're having a truck gate and the truck pulls up, it's very noisy, you'll be able to hear that device.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Nice. You guys think of everything. The base is a more economical product, and then we have our Verso with our fingerprint reader in it. And then the Solo, it's a small footprint, great for single-family residential or one-off office type of applications awesome sauce these are really great i mean i you showed them to me on the podcast through the screen but seeing them in person they're just really beautifully well built we're we're rather proud of them very stylish design i you know i feel like you guys have really brought the intercoms into the future of you know what's normal because people expects into the future of what's normal.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Because people expect these beautiful devices out of everything, the touchpads and everything else. One new device that we have that just came to the market is our Verso LTE. This is the world's first cellular intercom. So where this would be used is where you have an application where you don't want to run new wiring to it. We have applications such as airports where they have a remote gate that they want to control, have access control to it, as well as verify who they're letting in through video. This will allow you to do that without trenching and running cable. So it'll just connect. It needs 12-volt power, but it'll connect cellularly to the network and tie in as any other intercom that way you don't have to go destroying a bunch of old buildings and something and saves a
Starting point is 00:09:34 tremendous amount of cost wiring and everything else well these are great so where can people look these up again well on the interwebs what's the website yeah the website is 2NUSA.com. So look us up. All of our information is on there. And or come down here to the booth at CD and take a look. Yep, come down to the booth. 4403 is the booth number.
Starting point is 00:09:57 You can see them. They're kind of close to the front, so that works out really well. Thanks for showing us around, Craig. These devices are just beautiful and excellent. I'm really impressed. Thanks, Chris. All right, and thanks to my audience for tuning in. Be sure to watch for more of our CDS show coverage 2019.
Starting point is 00:10:11 We'll see you next time.
