Hi folks, Chris Voss here from thechrissvossshow.com.
Here coming to you with another one of our podcast episodes.
We're covering CES 2020 and we're at the CarePredict booth.
This is at booth number 46137 in the Sands, so you can check it out.
These guys have won the 2020 Innovation Awards honoree.
And we're talking with their CEO and main inventor, Satish.
He's invented this wonderful product that they take and have. welcome to the show Satish. How are you? Doing very well Chris and thank you very much
for having us on. Awesome. Now I got a chance to talk to your staff and this is a really cool
product you guys have here. So tell us about your company. So CarePredict was founded to help us
take care of our elderly parents with the utmost amount of peace of mind.
So I created this device to take care of my own parents.
My dad's 93, my mom's 83.
They live 10 minutes away from me.
I talk to them every day, but when I show up on Saturday,
I find things that are completely new and different
that almost always led them to going
to the ER department that day, things like that.
So the unpredictability in their health was causing a lot of unpredictability in my life, and I'm looking for a solution that would give me some heads up about how they're doing
so I have a chance to prevent whatever that outcome may be by stepping in early.
Awesome, sauce. So what have you guys done to resolve that?
So we created this wearable device
that goes on the wrist of the dominant arm and it tracks all the gestures of the arm. Are they
eating? Are they drinking? Are they bathing? Are they cooking? All of that and we take all of that
information and we put into an artificial intelligence platform that allows us to look
for anomalies in those activities and behavior patterns
that finds the declines in health. Look, we all know that activities and behavior
patterns precede declines in health. We've known that for millennia. We all
used to live together, so if you happen to see mom unbrushed hair, not bathing,
and kind of being, you know, very moody, you knew she was depressed. Right. Now we're all living apart.
So how do we replace that human observation?
Well, with CarePredict, now you can.
Awesome.
So what's the website?
You can look at this if you're not at the show.
So they can go to www.carepredict.com,
and they can scroll through, learn about the product,
and they can buy it right there directly.
So what are some of the main features about the product that really stand out?
So unlike other wearables that you might see all around
that count things like steps and sleep,
we actually can detect activities and behaviors.
Everything an individual is doing without using these cameras
and other things that don't have any
privacy so with our device with an utmost privacy we can track things like
are they eating are they bathing are they cooking are they going how often
are they going to the bathroom which are all precursors to declines in health yeah
I need this on Saturdays and Sundays so yeah Chris you shower Yeah, Chris, you need a shower. So we can see over here in your booth, you've got a lot of really cool stuff going on.
You guys are talking about sharing with people.
There's an app that works with it, evidently.
Yes, there is a mobile app, both Apple and Android.
And within that app, you can designate all the care circles.
These are all the people concerned about that individual.
Who should get all the alerts about that individual?
Are they skipping meals?
Are they spending more time sitting than they normally do? Things that everybody
who are concerned about them want to know. The device also has a button
that the person can push to get people in the care circle to call them
back and talk to them through straight through the device. So is it also like an iPhone that helps you get up?
Absolutely, it can do all of that in addition to all the other things that we
can do and and people can talk straight back through them through this device.
My mom though recently tripped over a vacuum that she had and I was visiting
and she couldn't get up. She's got two bad knees, she's got one in her place and the other in her
scary place. She literally couldn't get up.
Exactly.
She wasn't injured, but she just couldn't get up.
Right.
And so, yeah, having devices like these are really important in an aging community.
I like it.
I probably need them, like I said.
So anything more we need to know about you guys and what you're doing?
I think what we are doing is really going to help people stay safely longer at home
before they have to go into some kind of a senior group living facility.
I think I saw a trend recently that people really don't want to put people in homeless homes anymore.
That's right.
The caregivers are just so challenging there.
I know my mom's real big thing is she wants to die in her home.
She doesn't want to be stuck in a hospital.
I wouldn't want to be either.
I think this is great and can give more insight
as to what our family members are doing.
You know, make sure they're getting all their medications and stuff.
Even in a caregiver situation, like I said,
I have two sisters that are in care homes.
A lot of times the guys don't do their job or they're on their staff.
And, you know, we're calling our sister going,
hey, did you
hydrate did you drink water so this would be great and i guess there's a wrist motion gyroscope in it
so it knows what if you're drinking your water you've been lifting your wrists up and
so that's really cool all right well uh certainly the product give us the website we can look at
one more time so you can purchase this product today and have it delivered in two weeks from www.carepredict.com
carepredict.com or through ces come to booth number 46 137 in the sands and tell them chris
faustina thanks for tuning in guys we certainly appreciate you guys and watch for more of our
really cool coverage of cs 2020.
