Hi folks, Chris Voss here from thechrisvossshow.com. Hey, come in and get a layer at the NAB 2019 show.
We're at the Sentrance booth. You can take and find this in North Hall at N5621.
And I'm here with the CEO, Michael Goodman. How are you doing, Michael?
Hi, Chris. Very good. Thank you so much. Thank you for stopping by.
Thanks for having us. And of course, we're actually recording this audio on the unit here.
We're recording it on the Sentence Mixer Phase, believe it or not, which is a mobile mixer and recorder.
I'll show it to you in a moment.
It's an amazing unit.
It's got two boutique mic preamps, which are very low noise.
It's got an aluminum chassis, a rechargeable battery.
It's got a built-in micro SD recorder. It's a portable production powerhouse,
ideal for interview work, ideal for podcasting, ideal for any kind of a situation when you find yourself in need of high quality audio and you might be on the road, on the move. I'll show you
in a moment. This thing's really cool. It's like a studio mixer right in your hand that you can take with your portable.
Yeah. We also sell it to musicians where we call it the mobile music kitchen.
Here we say, you know, the knob does the job.
If you come with me, I will demonstrate here that the interface, the user interface on the product is actually extremely simple.
It doesn't have any menus, which is kind of
different from the user interface metaphor of today. People are used to menus, but I'll
tell you, being able to adjust the knob with your fingers and immediately get back to action,
immediately getting back to the subject matter of your interview or whatever it is that you're
doing is so much better. This features one-button recording, so you don't
have to scroll through any menus. You know the way we say it is less scrolling, more rolling.
That's what this product is for. This entire setup right here is a portable podcasting studio.
It's entirely off the grid. It's not connected to anything. I got two condenser mics here,
and they're both running off of the mixer phase. It's supplying the phantom power for both those
microphones. And this whole setup lets me sit down with somebody like yourself or anybody else
anywhere in the world. I can roll the setup out in five minutes, right? It's very simple. It's very
quick to roll out if it's in my suitcase. And I can start interviewing this person anywhere, you know, really quickly.
And you guys have a few different products too, right?
We have another product here called the Mic Fork Pro 2.
This is a single channel version of the mixer face.
And what this does is allows you to connect a high quality microphone, condenser, dynamic,
or even ribbon.
And then because it has a boutique mic preamp inside,
our Jasmine microphone preamp for our technology is inside.
It has high gain, low noise.
It has a blend control that lets you dial in the perfect blend between your microphone sound and whatever comes back from the computer in case you're narrating over a you know vacuum track or something like that awesome and this
prints to the phone so with this and a phone and a cell phone this right here is your entire
recording studio away from home right makes it very convenient for the digital nomad for the
people that travel and need to record on the road, journalists, podcasters, voiceover actors.
Okay, awesome.
And then you've got the other one that we're going to be doing a little sort of production on.
And this product.
Let's see the bottom of that too so people can see.
This product is called Mixer Face, a two-channel version of that.
Let me turn it around, and you will see that on the bottom we have a familiar camera shoot,
which now lets us connect this to
uh a camera setup if you pan over to the to the side over here you'll see a picture of how that
could look like right with like a bracket you can mount it on the side of the camera and essentially
take over all of the sound duties so you know not all cameras have good sound. As a matter of fact, most cameras don't
have good sound. If you take just a simple three millimeter cable out of the mixer face and run it
into the camera, and then you connect a couple of high quality condenser microphones, you will
immediately improve your production values. You'll make that sound professional level.
Most definitely. I've definitely been impressed with it so far. We're recording on it right now,
by the way. And then let's go ahead and test out your little studio here, I guess.
Yeah, we can sit down for a back or reverse interview. Let's go ahead and do that.
All right. So I'm going to put this microphone down. I want to request that you put on these
headphones. Okay. And what I'll do here is I'll do a mini podcast it'll
last a minute and it'll be awesome so we'll start a new track I'm gonna be
recording this into my iPhone using an application called twisted way so here
we are at the NAD show with mr. Chris boss hi. Hi. Chris, how are you? Good, man. Just here at the Centrance booth,
checking it all out. Thank you very much. Let me show you something that you can do with this
product. You can actually come in. Yeah? This is Chris Voss coming to you live at KTEL 101.
First caller gets Leonard Skinner tickets. Call in today and 1-800-KTEL.
Hi, Chris.
My name is Michael Goodman.
I'm calling in, and yet my voice sounds really clear, doesn't it?
It doesn't sound like a...
Michael, what's the lead singer of Toto?
No, I'm just kidding.
That would be, well...
I'm sorry, Mike.
You didn't win the Lynyrd Skynyrd tickets.
C.J.E.
Vantham is the producer.
Oh, they're...
Steve Lukather is probably the lead singer now.
I'm going to, since I have no idea what I just made up on that premise, I'm going to say you're right lucather is probably the lead singer now i'm gonna since
i have no idea what i just made up on that premise i'm gonna say you're right and you get the tickets
that's front row leonard skinner thank you very much that's gonna be at the coliseum whatever yeah
uh really good really good it's nice i i love how you can control it. You can move everything around you can either move from the USB or the channel one
lots of gain
And it's just like I'm still playing with the thing at home in our testing review of it
We're gonna have this truck review on the Chris Vosha channels and it's really freaking awesome
And the other thing I like about it is it'll store it on
the device itself and I just pop the micro SD card and put in my computer transfer the files
and that good stuff. And away you go. And of course, I can
control stereo, I can control mono, there's, there's just so
much in here, I'm still reading the manual to figure out what
these top buttons are.
There's definitely a lot of flexibility. And as I just
demonstrated, you can bring in an external track, you can
bring in a phone call, the two of us can be having an interview anywhere in the world, right?
So very flexibly, self-powered.
Again, a great solution for a quickly buildable podcast studio, right?
You can roll it out anywhere in the world.
Anything more we need to know about the product?
What do you guys do? We are in Chicago. We sell through
normal distribution channels as well as our website.
You're welcome to come and check it out. Give us that plug on the website.
The website is www.centrance, which is spelled
just like the word entrance with a C on the front,.com.
Centrance.com, Mixerface.
And we're here live with Chris Voss and Michael Goodman.
Sounds good.
Come see the Sentrence booth at N5621 at the NAV show 2019.
Tell them Chris Voss is seeing you.
And also be sure to watch the review on the Chris Voss show.
We publish it.
We've been really impressed with it and given it a good sort of burn in here
at the NAB
show doing all the interviews.
So all that good stuff.
Anyway, thanks for tuning in.
Thanks, man.
We'll see you guys next time.
