Starting point is 00:00:42 Ladies and gentlemen, the Iron Lady, as soon as that makes it official, welcome to the big show for 16 years over 2200 episodes. It's just so many I can't even speak that high in numbers. We've been bringing the Chris Voss Show, as always. We're doing our coverage that we do annually every year of the CES Show, the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Or I mean Las Vegas. If you're a native, we call it Las Wages. You can figure out why.
Starting point is 00:01:10 And we just published our interview with Gary Shapiro, the CEO of CES and CTA, who puts the show on every year, so be sure to catch that as well. And we'll be profiling some of the wonderful booths and exhibitors that are going to be at the show and some of the cool products, the innovations, if you will, that they are bringing to the market. Today, we're going to be talking with a wonderful young lady who comes to us from a company called NetView Technologies Company, LTD, and their product, Birdfeet. And we're going to be talking
Starting point is 00:01:41 about her and her product and all that good stuff. We're joined today by Estelle Yang. How are you, Estelle? Hello, everyone. I'm Estelle, and I'm the PR manager at NetView Technologies. And also, we are famous for the smart burf feeder. So give us a 30,000 overview of what the burf is. Yeah. So give us a 30,000 overview of what the Burfi is. Yeah. NetView is a camera technology company, and our core brand, Burfi, specializes in creating
Starting point is 00:02:12 innovation smart bird feeder products. And by leveraging cutting-edge camera technology, Burfi products can detect and identify birds and notify users of their visits and automatically record cherish moments for users to share. And BirdFeed offers a comprehensive range of products, which you can see here. So we're including bird feeders, bird boxes, hummingbird feeders, and various accessories, and all designed to provide an all-in-one smart birding solution
Starting point is 00:02:46 that can be easily fulfilled in everyone's backyard. And yeah. Where can people find these on the interwebs? Yeah, people can find us on our official website, birdfeed.com.
Starting point is 00:02:59 And also we are on Amazon and also Walmart. And also we are live on many offline channels, including Best Buy and Costco. And you can find us everywhere. This is really cool. So you have these wonderful, beautiful bird feeders. And it looks like about 10 or maybe 8 or 10 or more different variations from something very simple.
Starting point is 00:03:23 And basically it houses the bird feed, but then there's a camera there that can capture, and there's usually like a ledge or something the bird can stand on so the bird can sit there and partake of the fine bird seed. And then you can watch the experience through the camera. Does that sound about right? Exactly. And it's very simple for everyone it can
Starting point is 00:03:46 detect the birds here and you can also get the bird identification because we have the ai technology inside that yeah people can know that who is the visitors and who is the most visited bird in your backyard yeah so this is great for people that love hummingbirds and some of the birds of nature maybe they yeah everybody sure this is great for people that love hummingbirds and some of the birds of nature, maybe they, I'm not sure what they call the people that they do bird watching. Maybe they're bird watchers. Beyond being able to see the bird, like right up close. One thing that was fun was you guys have, I think one called the bird's nest or
Starting point is 00:04:19 something like that, where you, you can literally see and they can set up shop to raise a family there. Yeah. So this is one of our product and you can see actually there's two camera so one outside when the birds parents they are coming inside the the nest it will show you the the outside view and also have another inside camera that record the baby birds. Like when they are hatching and they are having the birth, have baby birds, and then they will record every significant process for that. That is wild. I mean, just being able to see, you know, I've seen different videos people posted of their own makeshift sort of weird things where they have the house for the birds. And then the birds come lay their eggs and keep them warm and build a nest in there and then and then and then you can see the little birdies when they come out and stuff and it's really cool
Starting point is 00:05:13 the circle of life if you will yeah exactly and actually this product is made of those sustainable bamboo so it's nsc certified yeah because we want to bring up the the idea of the eco-friendly and we also provide the solar panel so you don't need to use you don't need to work on a battery because you can uh work like anytime I love that because I have one of those outdoor cameras that first came out and you always have to charge it. Yes. You always have to bring it in, charge it, and then take it back out again. But the new ones, they come with the solar panel. So that works out really well.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Yeah. Yeah. And now, does it work through a, do you view the videos through a phone app or something? Yeah, we have our own app called Burfi app. So you can just view everything inside the app. It will automatically record the videos and then you just go in the app and then you can see there's some collection of the best moments. And also we have some very nice feature, including the Burfi highlights and also the Burfi recap. So it will offer you the daily highlights and the monthly highlights of the bird visiting videos. It will tell you who is the first visitors of the day of the month,
Starting point is 00:06:34 and also which is the most visited birds. And also, yeah, it will give us some very valuable data for people to keep their memory. And also they can share to their friends or family about the joy of bird watching share it to your bird club your bird watching club yes that nature it auto creates videos and imagine the the video is pretty smart so when it just sees motion of the bird arriving it starts recording yes so the logic of our product is that the camera has the motion detection. So when the bird is landed on, then the motion will be detected. And then our technology will start analyzing the video.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Then it will tell you the species of the bird. And also it will send an instant notification for the users that, oh, actually someone is visiting your backyard. And who is the visitor? That's the cardinal or a chickadee. And it will give you something like that. So, you can receive some surprise every day. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Yeah. You get this beautiful little video. And then you can open these up. You can clean them out if you need to. It's fairly easy to do that, I guess. You mean the cleanup process? Yeah. Yeah, because the product is designed to be user-friendly.
Starting point is 00:07:53 So we make every part very easily to clean. And also it's weatherproof, so we don't need to worry when it's raining or snowing. And also it can bear in a very severe environment like even though too hot or too cold it will still work well and you it's very easy to disable it and clean it and add the first seed and we also provide all the instruction videos on our youtube channel so when people they are curious about how to use our product they can go to our youtube page then they can review all the instruction videos there ah and then you have them you have the holes different sizes for different sizes of birds yes i guess that protects against predators too
Starting point is 00:08:39 yes for the nest we designed it with the adjustable hole, and it will be fitting in different sizes of birds. And also, because we have the motion detection and also the AI, so we can tell that when a predator is coming, then we will send an alert to the users, and then we'll kind of protect the birds. Yeah, you don't want them getting eaten by those bad predators. Do you have a hole that's big enough for me to crawl in there and move in?
Starting point is 00:09:09 Sorry? Do you have a hole that's big enough for a big fat guy like me to crawl into there? Oh, you... I'm kind of homeless right now. I need a home. Yes. I live in a van down by the river. Anyway, I just had to jump in.
Starting point is 00:09:23 Yeah, yeah. What sort of resolution are we talking on the video? Sorry? What sort of resolution are we talking on the video? What video quality resolution is there? So it's 1080p. Okay. Yeah. And we are also providing some new products that will have higher resolution in the future.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Yeah. And also for the last one thing I want to add on is that we also have this kind of the, the, the camp, the camp, only the camp. Just for some people, they prefer to use the traditional bird nest or they prefer to build a nest by themselves, but they still want to record the situation of the nest.
Starting point is 00:10:03 So they can order our cam. So this one, you can put it everywhere, like anywhere you like and any angle. So it will also provide this option for the users. Yeah. So you can just have a cam. Maybe you have some of those pesky squirrels that are always getting out there and trying to. Do you guys have some prevention for that in the way they're designed to keep those squirrels from stealing the bird food?
Starting point is 00:10:28 I know that's an issue. Yeah, so squirrel is a very tough, tough part for everyone. But we try our best to provide some design to... For example, we have the pole, and we have the bouncing design to... When the squirrel climb on it, it will bounce and it will kick it off.
Starting point is 00:10:49 And also we cannot 100% tell that our product can be squirrel-proof, but we are trying to, we have a lot of blogs on our website to share some tips for people on how to be better to prevent the squirrels.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Yeah. We just run about 10,000 volts through the pole. No, I'm kidding. Don't do that, people. Squirrels are people too. I don't know what that means. Yeah. But no, this is really cool.
Starting point is 00:11:19 I'm surprised somebody hasn't thought of this before. And there's all sorts of different variations you have all sorts of different sizes there's even a hummingbird water one those hummingbirds they're always fun to watch yeah the hummingbirds they are they are really really the star of like bird lovers yeah yeah and we for the hummingbirds we have this one is, it's the Burfi Humfeeder Dual. So it also offers two cameras. Because you know that hummingbirds, their color will change when you see them in different angles. So we designed this with two angles, one on the front and one on the side.
Starting point is 00:12:01 So when the hummingbird is coming here, you can see both the angle of it. And also it kind of improves the AI because it will have two angles of it and you will improve the accuracy of it. Now, we got word from the bird union that invasion of privacy notice. And here, let me read it here. It says chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp. Anyway, it sounds like they're not happy about some of this. Maybe we need to get some, I don't know, some signatures that you should be using the image of some of these. Because some of these birds are probably like Instagram celebrities, right?
Starting point is 00:12:44 Yeah, we will make sure to credit them when we share their wonder. Because some of these birds are probably like Instagram celebrities, right? Yeah. Yeah. We will make sure to credit them when we share their wonder. Those in the audience, that didn't really happen. I just made it up. But no, I think it's cool. Multiple camera shots so you can see the way they work. And then, of course, you get the ding on your phone, right? The notification that tells you, hey, there's birds out there in the in the
Starting point is 00:13:05 yard i'd probably go out and if i my friends had one i'd go put some birds in there and uh and then tease them it would be more like hand birds i don't know what those mean but yeah what have we talked about that the your product does oh sorry what haven't we talked about that your guys's product does that, some of the features? Do we leave anything off the table, feature-wise? You mean for our products? Yeah, anything we haven't talked about. You mean for other...
Starting point is 00:13:35 For Burfi? Okay, yeah, sure. We would like to bring up the star for the CES. So it actually is this one. Okay, that's the big one. Yeah. It's the Burfee Feeder 2 Dual. So it's the CS Innovation Award Honorary. So we are very happy that we get this award. Thank you. And so for this one is, is really, I would say, you know, innovator in the bird feeder industry. So this bird feeder to dual is, has the first dual camera bird feeder with three lenses. So it featured the auto tracking portraits and the slow motion capture of the bird video. So you will get a very detailed,
Starting point is 00:14:27 and you can see the birds, like their feathers and their colors in the wonderful details. And this actually set a new standard for backyard bird watching and wildlife care gadgets because now you have two two angles of the bird feeders and yeah so for this one if anyone's going coming to see us please come and we will demonstrate how it works and how it looks like in the show yeah you guys will be a booth in venetian hall a through d that's down in eureka park you can booth number 52049
Starting point is 00:15:07 yes check that out now i imagine this would have been fun if i was when i was a kid i would have loved to have had this sort of access to it i feel ripped off you have something called the bird fee fund tell us about that oh yes so for the Burfi Fund is that because since our inception, we know that our brand value is to like we're give back to the society and nature. So since Burfee inception, we actually have committed to allocating $1 from each sale, and then we'll just collect them to set up the Burfee fund. And now we have raised $400,000 to date. Yeah, so because we're selling quite well, so we have those funds inside us.
Starting point is 00:16:04 And then this fund will be used to support charitable projects or birth-related research and educational programs. And so when people reach out to us through the Burfee Fund application, then we will sponsor our products or we will do financial sponsorship for them to support their educational programs and for example we recently worked with the san diego audubon society so they are doing an outreach program that teaching the people who are into nature and into birds they have the way to train themselves as the outdoor leaders and then then we provide them with our products. And also we provide them with our financial support.
Starting point is 00:16:50 And that works very well. And also another example is that we also work with an elderly care center. We donate our products and we assist them in the live stream process. Then it helps the elderly to enjoy the bird videos during their stay in the elderly care center and that really works well too yeah yeah nature's sure nature's one of those kind of healing things meditating things you know seeing stuff in nature i like the slow motion thing because you know if you've ever seen a hummingbird in a slow motion camera it's pretty cool though yeah yeah and then you guys have some facebook groups subreddits and stuff with over
Starting point is 00:17:30 150 000 users sharing stuff yes we fun yeah we are very happy to gather people who loves birds together and we don't they don't need to be necessary a bird feed users, but they just, anyone who loves birds and anyone just want to share the joy of bird watching. And for this community, we also always constantly do some events, like share your story about your bird watching and also share their bird pictures that they think they're cute to share.
Starting point is 00:18:05 And for that, we will engage them. Our purpose is to make them friends, and also people are happy to share the joy of bird watching. And yeah, for that community, we also encourage people to tell their story. And we actually received some very touching stories that telling us that how birdwatching changed their life and how birdwatching have helped them to go through those hard times and also to improve their mental health. So we are very happy to receive those story and because we feel the bond with our customers that we are our products are helping them and making them happy yeah i mean there's
Starting point is 00:18:53 people love it and of course you can get closer to nature you can get appreciation for nature you know birds are an integral part of our ecosystem and stuff yes and. And, you know, it's fun. And there's so many different ones that are out there, so many variations and stuff. You guys have a cloud service as well that's part of it that houses some of the videos and things like that? Yeah. For the cloud service, we are like,
Starting point is 00:19:19 because when people are receiving the bird videos, then they don't need to worry that they, they will need to buy an SD card or something, but all the things that will go through the cloud and then they are very easily to share like through the app. Yeah. The it's, it's amazing.
Starting point is 00:19:37 I always thought, you know, there should be a way to do this where you can watch birds, you know, you see them flying around doing the thing. And of course, hummingbirds are fun to watch they make me tired though because they're like and you're just like wow a lot of work you got going on there yeah yeah yeah glad i don't have to do that anything more we want to tease out to people before we go and what you guys are
Starting point is 00:19:59 exhibiting at ces yeah so we will be exhibiting all the product lines during the CES and we also will bring out our latest innovation including the Burfi smart bath, the Burfi bath. So it's a smart bird bath with a camera so we can see the birds playing with the water. And also, yeah, we also have the version of the Burfi feeder so it will have a more solid and more i would say tech feelings appearance like i will show you so this one is the the metal okay metal and also the bath this is the burfi bath. Oh, wow. This one is very beautiful. If you come to CES,
Starting point is 00:20:49 you must come to check out our product in person. Maybe get a bath while you're there. Some people I've seen at CES need a bath. Yeah, that would be great. We will provide some nice gifts for our CES guests. We are very looking forward to the show,
Starting point is 00:21:06 and we're looking forward for people to come and chat with us. Yeah. I'm not sure why I said the word Steve, but it sounded funny in my head.
