Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi, this is Foss here from the chrisfossshow.com. Hey, coming at you here from the Cedia Show 2019 in Denver. We're at booth number 4336 Mantle Mount, and we're here with the CEO, Lee Mark of Mantle Mount. How are you doing, Lee? I'm great, Chris. How are you? Awesome sauce. So what do you guys do?
Starting point is 00:00:19 Tell us who you are and what you guys are about here at Cedia. Mantle Mount is a TV mount meant for high-on-the-wall locations like over a fireplace. The idea is that when you're looking at a TV over a fireplace, it's like sitting in the front row of a movie theater. It'll cause you neck pain. It'll, it'll, it'll, it's like, it feels awful. So, what we've done is we've created a TV mount that comes down off the wall, swivels left or right to your favorite preset position, and then can move right back up when you're done. Today, we're showing our robotic 860 automated mount. This works with home automation or without home automation,
Starting point is 00:00:54 but basically what it does is it will automatically come down when you turn your TV on and then push itself right back up when you're done watching TV right over the fireplace that's got an amazing amount of play to it yeah you can you can you can it's got 30 degrees swivel in each way you can control how far down it goes and you can also control through set stops for how much it'll swivel because you don't want it to hit your wall or you don't want it to hit your your mantle nice nice so uh it's got a now it comes to the recess do you guys have multiple mounts you guys take and make or is this the main one that's a great that's a great question today at cd we're showing our robotic
Starting point is 00:01:34 mount it is the coolest thing that that we've we've created but uh but equally as cool we started with manual mounts so we have a full line of manual mounts and what those are made they're basically the same mount but instead of having electronics and and electronic actuators they have pistons in them like you'd find in a hatchback of a car so even a five-year-old can reach up grab a handle 100 pound TV down off the wall swivel it over to the couch and when she's done push it back up back up in the wall where it looks great it's probably a whole lot safer than if it's not you know it doesn't adjust and the five-year-old tries to pull it down. Exactly. I think we've seen those YouTube videos. They
Starting point is 00:02:10 have to be tall enough to get to it. There you go. One of the great features both on our automated and our manual mounts that are worth mentioning is that this mount for example has a heat sensor in it so if you left your fireplace on and your fire got to about 100 degrees next to the television, the TV will go up automatically and push itself up against the wall. Our manual versions have a handle with a specially treated rubber handle that turns red at 110 degrees to warn you to push your TV back up against the wall. Your TV is going to melt.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Yeah, but this is awesome. I mean, anybody can pretty much control it down to a child, so it makes it really easy to swivel it, get it where you want it. You know, if you've got that beautiful big screen TV you put up in your house, you want to get the right angles. Maybe you like sitting on a certain place on your couch, you know, enjoying a thing. It comes with a remote controller. Yeah. One of the things worth mentioning, too, is that it works with all the major home automation systems, Crestron and URC, and I don't want to forget anybody, iArt, works with all of them.
Starting point is 00:03:11 So it works with all of them, so it'll integrate and all that good stuff. But if you don't have a driver and you just have a regular TV, it's got a power sensing feature. You plug your TV into the mount, your mount into the wall, and when you turn your TV on with the regular remote, it'll recognize that you turned your TV on and come down to your preset position. And then when you turn your TV off, it'll go right back up. So you can use it without a control system, but still have the features of a control system. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:03:41 So what's the website people can find this at? Look it up? Great. You could go to www.mantlemount.com. You'll see the whole line there. It's M-A-N-T-E-L-M-O-U-N-T.com. And so it can be either hand adjusted, it can be remote control adjusted, it can go, you said 30 degrees each way on the spin. This is pretty cool. And so do do you guys is it direct to consumers or is it you have to use a vendor to take and pick the one of these up this mount is solely through uh distributors we have a pro line that's really uh mostly for distributors our lowest end models the kind of do-it-yourself uh you know, cheaper, I guess, lesser expensive models are direct-to-consumer.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Okay. Awesome sauce. So this is really neat, man. This is great. Now, how big of a TV can I mount this unit you guys have here? This unit, as with most of our units, it's more about the weight than the size. Okay. So this one will handle a a 125 pound TV. We rate it for 110 inches, but if you had 115 or 120 inch television, it's really about size. It'll swivel less the bigger the TV is because the TV is going to hit the wall sooner or later. Of course, our mounts keep it from, have stops in them that keep it, that you set so that it will never hit the wall. Yeah, that's awesome, Sauce. Wow. so it's smart enough to know that, hey, I'm going to break off the edge of the TV if I turn too hard.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Yeah, so when this thing is set up, you set how far you want it to go left, how far you want it to go right, and how far down you want it to go. So it'll never hit your mantel top, it'll never hit the side of the mantel, it won't hit the wall. And then while it's in an automated position even our manual mounts you can't push them up without it straightening wow it's a patented feature so while this is remote control you see it straightens out on its way up even our manual mounts which you when you push them up they'll they'll force themselves straight awesome sauce
Starting point is 00:05:40 this looks great and it's so awesome it just goes right up and down, moves around. You get just the right angle you want. You know, sometimes you move around the couch. Sometimes, you know, when you're having the football party over and you're trying to show off to a bunch of people and you want everybody to see the TV, it's a great way to put it together. So this is great. So vendors can come by.
Starting point is 00:06:00 There are distributors that want to work with you guys and distribute you guys' products. They can come by. They can see you guys at the booth here at Cedia. Anything more we need to know about you guys? We're also, they're showing it at Powerhouse Alliance booth. So if you happen to be walking by the Powerhouse Alliance booth, we have somebody there also demonstrating them out. So you can see it at our booth, the Mantle Mount booth, or the Powerhouse Alliance booth.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Awesome, Sauce. So come by and see it. It's at Cedia 4336 booth here at the Chouse Alliance booth. Awesome, Sauce. So come by and see it. It's at CD at 4336 Booth here at the CD Show 2019. Tell them Chris Voss saying it. Come by and talk to one of the fine gentlemen. Get a chance to see how this TV works, and it's really cool.
