PantryOn - Monitoring Your Groceries CES Show 2020 Booth Interview

Hi folks, it's Moss here from the chrisfossshow.com, the Chris Foss Show. Hey, we're coming here with another great podcast. We're doing booth interviews here at CES 2020. We're here at booth number 52334 at Pantry On. And we're talking with the CEO, Fadi. Fadi, how are you doing today? I'm doing really well, sir. All right, so you guys have a booth down here to read apart.

Tell us who you guys are. So is a new startup uh we have uh designed uh a new type of a household appliance it is you can place it in a pantry or you can place it in your kitchen it monitors the levels of inventory that you have in your house the kind of inventory that you have in your house. The kind of inventory that you purchase at a grocery store. So let me do a close-up. What it is, you guys have like a thing like the hotels have, where if I pick that up, it tells me I need stuff? How does that work? Yeah, very much so.

Okay. So rather than just picking up the entire item, what this does is this has a weight sensor in it. So as you say, for example, salt will be a good demonstration. So you pick up your can of salt. It might be in its own can or it might be in a jar. It does not matter. You use the salt.

You use smaller portions. Obviously, you don't use the whole can. You place the salt there. That's right. That's right. That's right. So as you're using your salt, for an example, the app is tracking the weight of the salt. Okay.

And as the weight drops down, we start say at green here. This is the app that is, that works with the system. So you start green, that means you're good on the weight. As you're using the weight, the color starts dropping and also the weight changes. Oh wow. Yeah, and as you use quite a bit of weight, you get to a point where it's red.

Red means basically you need to go out and purchase this product. Okay. When it goes into red, it also goes in here, which is your, there you go, your shopping list. Ah. And you can choose to either go out and purchase this item at a grocery store.

I'm sorry about the slow load up, it's just an internet issue. No, it's the internet use, not that great. That's right, let me do it one more time, see if it'll work. There you go. There you go. So here's your shopping list.

And these are items that are in red. These here in the bottom are items that you are running low on in the bottom is are items that uh you are running low on the running low on shopping list so while you're shopping for items you need you might also want to pick up items that you will be running out of at the same time here you can either buy them at a grocery store or you can order them online uh through the in-app uh buying uh this is pretty cool i need this at my house because i'm like, I get to the store and like, what do I need? And I, you know, I try, I can't remember it.

Sometimes I try and put on my phone or remember what to get and then I forget. But here I can literally see with my app, what's going on with the whole, the whole unit there. That's right. Awesome sauce. So is this available for retail for consumers or is this something you're working for business to business? This is actually made specifically for the consumer in mind. Okay.

What you're looking at is the what we call the beta version. Okay. The entire product will be available no later than the end of this quarter. It is in production as we speak. Wow. So what's the website if we're not here at CES that we can look at? It is www.bantrion.com. You can Google Bantrion. It looks like you have an iOS app for Android and for the Google Play Store. That's correct. And you can see it in action on YouTube, looks like, and Facebook. That's right.
