Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi folks, Chris Voss here from thechrissvossshow.com. Hey, guess what? It's the second half of our show that we're doing today on October 9th, Wednesday. We're going to be talking about some of the things that stuck out to me on producton.com. Product on. What does that mean? Nothing. What does any of it really mean when it comes out on a timeline?
Starting point is 00:00:27 What does any of it really mean exactly? Anyway, let's talk about some of the things that I think broadly interest me on Product Hunt. Let's go down the list here. There is something called dash dash templates that's ruling the charts at number one it's more it looks like it's more of like an api business data coding sort of thing which i'm not into and i think most people aren't into but if you're a coder you definitely may want to check that out if you're someone who's doing different search apis and and tools and spreadsheets to mine data. It might be of interest to you. Dash, dash templates.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Number two on the charts of Product Hunt today definitely interests me. This is kind of cool. It's called Cluey Travel. You can go to their website at getcluey.com. And the tagline on it is Discover Your Perfect Travel Destination. Cluey lets you quickly search and compare over 4,500 travel destinations. You can discover better value, closer, and more compatible destinations for your next holiday. You can search using travel time, safety, popularity, weather, and over 90 activities and more.
Starting point is 00:01:44 I think that's really cool because definitely if I'm going to travel, I want to know what the weather's going to be like, you know. I always have this fear that if, you know, I ever go to like the Bahamas, it'll be like hurricane season is upon you. And, you know, shit like that. It rains the whole damn time you're there. Just you're like, what? You know, you expect that kind of thing if you go to London or Seattle,
Starting point is 00:02:03 but, you know, not if you go someplace really nice. Did I just shame Seattle and London? Yeah, I did. Fuck you. Anyway, I'm just kidding. There's nothing wrong with those places. They're very nice. Anyway, safety is a real big thing, which is kind of interesting, knowing where you're staying at in a safe area and stuff.
Starting point is 00:02:25 So I don't know if that applies to crime or if that applies to just safe, like isn't a hurricane or tornado is going to blow you away. But very interesting from that aspect. Anyway, I think it's kind of interesting. You can kind of spelunk a little bit. You can kind of search for maybe what might be a perfect travel destination, but you don't know it would be. So I kind of like this.
Starting point is 00:02:49 It helps you kind of find some new stuff, get out of your bubble, and all that other stuff. Something that's doing very well today also, this is number four on the charts at Product Hunt. This is called Adriel. It claims to be an AI-based ad-placing service. So these guys will handle your Google, Facebook, and Instagram ad work using what they claim AI. And it works with e-commerce, SaaS, real estate agencies, cosmetic shops, tourist agencies, medical clinics, and other industries that are advertising using their service.
Starting point is 00:03:26 And it designs and posts your ads online. It takes some of the hard work over for you, so you can take and develop your online ads. And what's nice is that Automatt can create and post your ads across the platforms of your choice. YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google, and it optimizes your ad's specific targets that you want, et cetera, et cetera. And they claim to make it very simple. The thing looks definitely interesting. I think it looks kind of cool.
Starting point is 00:03:57 You may want to check it out. And their website is going to be, let's see here, adriel.ai. And yeah, so there you go. What else is up on the calendar? This is kind of interesting. This is called Secure Calendar. It's a privacy-respecting calendar. It's got secure end-to-end encrypted and privacy-respecting calendar. That's basically simply it. You go to securecalendar.online, and essentially it is a private calendar powered by Blockstack, and it's encrypted. So I guess if you don't want people seeing your calendar, what you're up to, having Google run a survey of ads based upon what your calendar is, what you're doing. Um, then this might be for you. You don't want any prying eyes seeing your calendar.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Oh, my calendar to be encrypted. Hey, I don't know, man. It's free country. You can do what you want. Run with it, baby. Um, what else do we have that's up here? This is kind of a fun, this is another fun thing too. You can probably mix in with can probably mix in with the other travel search. This is called Inspirational Flight Search. And it's a highly interactive flight deal map that lets you compare destinations across weather forecast, visa requirements, popularity, things to do, and current safety level, and so on. And you can see offers from all the travel agencies and airlines in the world to get the best price because we all know you want the best price uh people seem to like the ui it looks like some of the top comments on here fast beautiful easy
Starting point is 00:05:36 to use um this is kind of cool so you can uh do inspirational uh flight search see what the costs are you know maybe you see something that uh is more appealing to you you're like hey i want to So you can do inspirational flight search, see what the costs are. Maybe you see something that is more appealing to you. You're like, hey, I want to go there. And then you're like, oh, no, that looks even cooler. You can go to greatescape.co. That's greatescape.co and rock and roll it over there. That definitely looks cool.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Let's see. What else do we have? This is kind of interesting. This is called the Libra case for iPad. And I don't know why someone would name something that because, uh, isn't the Libra the, um, name of Facebook's, uh, cryptocurrency they're working on? Um, anyway, Libra, uh, I don't know. Anyway, you can go check it out.
Starting point is 00:06:24 It's on Kickstarter right now. Uh, it's the Libra. I don't know. Anyway, you can go check it out. It's on Kickstarter right now. It's the Libra case for iPad. It's basically, it's really cool looking. It's basically a Bluetooth keyboard with trackpad, backlit, and function keys to provide a user experience like a MacBook without sacrificing the advantages of a tablet. It maximizes your iPad productivity while at home or on the go. And it's compatible with iPad Pro 11 and 12.9. This thing is really cool.
Starting point is 00:06:48 It's got little fitting holders that hold the iPad into it. It even allows it to fold down just like a normal laptop. Basically, it turns your laptop into a dealio. So I think it looks really cool. And, wow, it's got a trackpad built into it. I mean, you basically, why do you need to buy a MacBook? Just buy an iPad and put it in. And there you go.
Starting point is 00:07:12 You got a MacBook. I think it's really interesting. I like the product. I like the design of it. I don't know if it's great. But, hey, it might be cool, you know, all that good stuff. So, yeah, you might want to check that baby out and see what you think. The Libra case for iPad.
Starting point is 00:07:31 What else do we have here on the agenda? Let's see. Get fire. Know your financial situation when you can retire. I'm afraid to open that one and put in my data. You can retire, Chris, when you're 150 years old okay all right man let's see if I can make it that far that's assuming you have no health issues oh shit there's something called budget burndown you can easily track your spending against your monthly budget and i guess it gives
Starting point is 00:08:06 you like uh graphical usages showing how to control your and your spending every month visually track your spending against the monthly budget on one simple chart you can view your total amount spent and unified transaction history across multiple cards it's automatic there's no sign up there's dark mode and even a widget i love that dark mode just kind of became the thing everyone wants it's only on iphone or ipad so damn it uh and uh you can go to the website at budget burndown.app there you go budget burndown sounds like something my ex-wife used to do. I'm just kidding. That's, I didn't have an ex-wife, but if I did, that's what she would have done. Um, this is kind of
Starting point is 00:08:52 interesting. Get fire. You're going to get fire.app. It's a personal bookkeeping tool that allows you to grow your personal number of fire points with every fire point that you own, you'll be able to retire an extra month early. What about you? Are you ready to get fired? Oh, man. Yeah, just put in there how much you have in savings for retirement. Do millennials even have savings for retirement? Yeah, so whatever.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Let's see. What else do we have, man? What else do we have? There's the Luft Cube. It's a portable and filterless air purifier, which is kind of an interesting thing. Let's see what this thing is about here. It's on an indigo.com campaign and it's a compact air filter that you can take anywhere destroy allergens germs toxic chemicals around you the loft cube you can go to their website
Starting point is 00:09:53 loft cube i'm not sure the.com because it's on kickstarter but loft dash cube or left cube there's not a dash there's space anyway uh it says it has no maintenance no filter replacements no charging batteries um i guess it works it looks really small i gotta tell you like really really small like looks like something you'd have to stand beside or something the left cube your ultimate personal air purifier. I'm not sure about that thing. That thing is really freaking small. I got to tell you.
Starting point is 00:10:32 So, oh, they actually have visuals. There's visuals of it working. And so the fungus molds are pulling in the air and they cause allergies. I suppose you have to set it in the desk right in front of you. So here we go. They're putting a piece of cheese. Is that cake or cheese? It must be.
Starting point is 00:10:52 I don't know what that is. So day one with the cheese going bad. I'm assuming that's cheese. Oh, they're showing that the air stays cleaner with the love cube and the cheese doesn't mold hmm interesting well i guess it works holy crap i don't know man check it out go to product.com and see what you think all that sort of good stuff here's uh something else a bridge keyboard for ipad designed to blur the lines between macbooks and ipads this yeah wow this has really become a thing there's like two of them one day uh this thing is uh perfect for those who want to use the ipad as their primary device the pro keyboards are designed to blur the lines
Starting point is 00:11:43 between macbook and ip iPad like never before. This is another one he sings. It attaches to the iPad. It's got a whole holder for it and crap. And basically looks like a MacBook. It's from Bridge.com. There is no I in the bridge. It's Y-B-R-Y-D-G-E.com.
Starting point is 00:12:01 That looks kind of interesting. I think we're going to order some of these to view on the Chris Voss show and see what we think might be kind of cool. Let's see. Is there anything else that stuck out to me today? Nope. That was it. Those are the things that stuck out to me on the unit there.
