Hi folks, Chris Foss here from thechrisfossshow.com, The Chris Foss Show.
Hey, we're at CDS Show. You've been seeing all the booth interviews we've been doing all day.
We're at booth number 2654. We're at the Rosewater Energy Group, and I'm here with the CEO, Joe.
Joe, how are you doing today?
I'm doing great, Chris.
Awesome. You having a great show so far?
I am having a great show, and I'm still standing upright, which is terrific.
Well, you're sitting upright right now.'s the way i'm getting it this afternoon
so you build these incredible machines we're looking at here tell us who you guys are what
you do and how you do it terrific i have been a veteran of the consumer electronics industry for
i hate to say this more than 45 years i'm No, I'm just kidding. Both of those are appropriate. As I've been involved in the industry, one of the things I
have noticed is that power quality in North America continues to get worse and worse because
of population density, weakening infrastructure. And we, as an industry, continue to load houses
with microprocessors, which are required for automation, security, entertainment.
And microprocessors hate bad power quality.
Definitely.
So I sat down and said, how can I improve power quality?
Not just a little.
How can I make it perfect? So it was my mission in 2012 to set out to build the best energy management device for residential use.
And our current iteration is the box you look at here.
It is the Rosewater SB20.
Whoa, this thing looks amazing, man.
So the Rosewater SB20 is installed at the panel level.
It can back up a 200-amp panel.
Wow.
So what that really means from a practical standpoint,
all of your security, all of your control, all of your entertainment,
all of your networking, all of your communication can be protected by this device.
I've often wondered, like, can they break in my home if they just cut the power or, you know, flick the switch
or something or like, hey, the power is out.
Let's go rob everyone's home.
It is interesting that you say that.
But in this device, because there are no transfer times, no blips, people don't know except
that the device will tell you that your power has actually gone out.
Wow.
So these are, you've got a giant hub here, and it's filled with different cartridges of backup batteries, basically?
Well, the bottom is filled with batteries.
And we have 28.8 kilowatt hours, which most people don't know what that means.
But fully loaded, this will run for about five hours.
Under typical conditions, it will run from 12 for about five hours under typical conditions it'll run from
12 to 36 hours wow i need one of these in my home if i live in like a hurricane zone or something
like that where you could buy one oh yeah all right this is these are our inverters and when
we researched inverters i was trying to find who built the best inverters in the world the people
who designed and built these won the google box Award. These things are ultra low noise,
ultra low distortion, but more importantly
they're modular.
So if one of these should fail, the device
doesn't fail.
A little red light will come on,
you will actually send out a new blade, you just
replace it and away it goes.
Never have to shut it down.
This device also protects against
lightning. I live in Florida. So we have lots of lightning. Nice. Nice.
Yeah.
Okay.
Uh-huh we use three of those three of these wow these are non-sacrificial
they will they are rated to stop 40 lightning strikes wow so you could build a really tall
house with a steeple on it so this this is truly built to mission mission critical standards nice
and we have some details that are interesting we do not use
lithium ion oh wow we use a lead acid battery and we choose it for a very specific reason
lead acid is the single most recycled product in the world yeah 96 of a lead acid battery makes a
new lead acid battery yeah so if you have driving if you buy a brand new automobile the lead in your
car battery was probably mine 50 years ago.
Wow.
So basically what I can do is if my car battery ever dies, I can hook it up to this and get a jump at the house?
I think this 140-pounder will be more than your car can handle.
Probably, definitely.
I don't think the battery's dead.
We have been very careful.
It is UL and CA certified.
The cabinet makes it seismic rated for California.
Wow.
You guys covered everything.
It is also geared so that you can remote a first responder switch.
Wow.
Because what you don't want is fully charged batteries powering a house when they're trying to go in it.
Yeah.
So with a first responder switch, you just hit it, the batteries are taken off.
Wow, you guys thought of everything.
We've tried to think about everything.
I want to have the home home this has to go in but our our tagline is rosewater simply the best and clearly i'm not objective but it
really is the best device on the market that really is a beautiful device too as well so where can we
go see this on the interwebs at rosewaterenergy.com rosewaterenergy.com. Rosewaterenergy.com. Anything more we need to know about you guys and what you guys do?
We've been doing this since 2012.
We are introducing in the middle of next year, we're showing a new product form this year.
So you'll see some changes.
This will become a two-piece eventually because it will fit more places. But it is very difficult for us to say anything other than I have yet to find a product that does more.
I don't know that if I mention that we can put renewables into this product, you can feed solar panels DC in.
Wow.
So it really is a well-thought-out device.
Everything that we'll go into.
Another feature we haven't talked about is this device also accepts renewable energy it can accept wind and or solar it is used it will not sell back to
grid but you can use the renewable energy source to charge the batteries when powers down awesome
so you can extend its runtime wow so we're first responders does the renewable energy this is
awesome anything more we need to know i think you've covered everything all right well sounds good guys be sure to check it out you can come
to booth 2654 at cd show 2019 check out the rose water energy group and thanks for having us bud
thank you thank you
