Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi folks, Chris Voss here from TheChrisVossShow.com. Hey, come in here with any other booth review. We are at NAB 2019 at the Secure Data booth. This is in Central Hall at C2158, so you can come by the booth and check these guys out. We recently did a bunch of reviews on them on The Chris Voss Show. Reviewed about four different products they have. These guys make some ultra-secure data products. And they're also called Secure Data, so what a convenient sort of thing there. How's it going? We're just here with Michael. reviewed about four different products they have. These guys make some ultra secure data products
Starting point is 00:00:25 and they're also called secure data. So what a convenient sort of thing there. How's it going? We're just here with Michael. How are you doing, Michael? I'm doing well, how are you? Good, good, good, good. So tell us about what you guys got going on.
Starting point is 00:00:35 I see the CES Innovation Awards 2019 honoree in the back there. Yeah, yeah. So we got a CES Innovation Award for these products here, Secure Drive BT and Secure USB VT. And we actually are a nominee for Product of the Year here at Knapp. So we're very excited about that as well. That is awesome.
Starting point is 00:00:54 That is awesome. Being a Product of the Year nominee is pretty cool. Yeah. So is that for the Bluetooth? Yeah. So it's both of our Bluetooth devices here. So what's exciting about this one specifically is that it's fifth validated. Meaning it tested in the government facility for over a year to get that validation
Starting point is 00:01:12 so that it's saying that it's the most secure device of its kind available. Now this thing's pretty cool. We just got done reviewing this. And what's neat is you just use an app to unlock it. And you can, of course, do different things to program how you want this the drive to operate and security all that good stuff um so it was really neat and it was kind of fun to use an app to as the unlocker thing yeah yeah definitely you know and it's you know the idea was to make a device like this that is secure but also streamlined um you know especially
Starting point is 00:01:42 in you know the broadcast industry, in the media production industry, somebody's always having a cell phone on them. So it's a convenient way to use that device to be able to secure your information after a day of shooting. Yep, and you guys make these, how big do you make them? You go from what size to what size?
Starting point is 00:02:00 Yeah, up to eight terabytes is what we normally show, but they're assembled right here in the US so we can customize pretty much whatever you want. Now do they come in SSDs or HDDs or both? Yeah, both mechanical and SSDs they come in so again you know we can pretty much customize any type of device that you need. It uses currently USB 3.0 and yeah it's a very unique product. So it's going to give you those good speeds, transfer your data and all that stuff. I used them at home at the office for the Chris Fon show and they were good. Especially even like your keypad ones where they have the keypad on them. Do you want to talk about those too?
Starting point is 00:02:41 Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, so as you can see, we have both BAR-BT and keypad products here. So the keypad, a little more simple. You simply put in your 7 to 15 digit PIN number right onto the device itself, which is, you know, somewhat unique for these devices. So all authentication is happening right on the drive. So it doesn't matter if you're plugging these drives into camera equipment to extract data or any computer or printer or projector they work across all operating systems so virtually any device with the USB port you can use these with and it's great because your data is secure you know it's gonna be safe and then there's a lot of security procedures what is the FIPS level 3 validated what does that mean yeah so FIPS basically I
Starting point is 00:03:29 touched on it earlier essentially we sent these products to a government facility they tested them over a year's worth of time to basically say okay we're gonna give you this certification it's level 3 which is the highest validation that you can get for this type of device. We need that validation, in fact, to sell to the government at all. If we don't have that, the government doesn't even look our way. So not only, you know, you can be ensured that your data is safe with any data, according to the government. That is awesome. That is awesome. Now, there's all sorts of different things that drives can do. I think it depends on which drive it is, but you have, you can do like remote wipes, I think,
Starting point is 00:04:07 can you? Yeah, that's exactly right. With our secure drive and secure USB VT that we have the NAB product of the year nominee for, you can remotely wipe right from your mobile device, as well as with our remote management console, you can set geo-fencing on the drives and time fencing and even cut off user access. Let's say if an employee leaves the company and they have a drive, with many other drives, including a keypad drive, look, they have the PID number to access that information
Starting point is 00:04:37 whenever they want. But with our secure drive and secure USB BT, you can completely cut off any user access. That's important. I've had to fire employees and you're like, they still have a key to the office. That's not a good thing to do. Right, absolutely. But you know, sometimes you just don't have it right there to fire them. And in today's world, that's really, really important. The remote, why does it have a, does it have a thing where if somebody enters the password too many times wrong? Yeah. So all of our devices are equipped with a force anti hacking, or we call it so if somebody answers
Starting point is 00:05:07 in the incorrect password 10 times consecutively, all the information is crypto erased. Nice. So lots of protection for your data here. And this is super important, especially when you're working with files, or you're working with company secrets, or just if you want to protect your photos. I mean, one of the problems I've had is sometimes I'll lose a phone while I'm traveling, or'll use like a micro SD drive and you're like holy crap there's someone looking at all my photos probably right now going hey this is
Starting point is 00:05:32 interesting. Yeah. And you know you sometimes you might have secure data on there you might have customer lists you might have customer you know your passwords maybe your keys for stuff So definitely having one of these secure drives really helps. Yeah. And of course, they can get them in sizes. Now on the keypad one, how big of the size can they go on that update terabytes as well to eight terabytes as well. And then I think your five terabyte is a hard drive, right? Yeah, so we have a five terabyte mechanical and then we have four terabyte SSD. So there's a wide range of capacities in in between from 250 gig up to eight terabyte SSDs. So there's a wide range of capacities in between
Starting point is 00:06:06 from 250 gig up to eight terabyte. Sounds good. Well, awesome sauce guys come down to booth C2158, the NAB show, see these guys in Central Hall. They're right close to the south part of Central Hall and you can check in their booth and check out all the cool stuff they have there. Thanks for spending some time with us, Michael.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Thank you, Chris. Oh, give us the website one more time if you didn't already. www.securedrive.com All right. Thank you very much. Thank you. All right.
