Hi folks, Chris Voss here from the Chris Voss Show. Welcome. Welcome to the show. Come on in. Come on in. Come on, wander in. Sit down with me right over there, and I'm going to sit here, and we're going to spend some time together today.

All right. I get it, man. Well, hopefully you're comfortable. Hopefully you're comfortable and safe. Remember to keep both hands on the wheel at all times. 10 o'clock and 2. Keep the 10 o'clock and 2. You can do 12 and 6, but that's kind of way trashy,

and your old man does that. I don't know. Is this a driving podcast? Hey, maybe it is, because guess what? SEMA show is this week in las vegas sema 2019 also the apex show aap ex gotta make sure you get that extra a in there because i don't know seemed like a good thing to do at the time the sema show is a giant uh i don't know giant seems like it's like it's an understatement when it comes to the SEMA show.

This thing takes over all of Las Vegas every freaking year, and it is mind-blowing amazing. It's a huge automotive show. Tons of exhibits, tons of cars. If you want to see every cool car that's been custom-made out there and different things, they even award some of the top cars that come out every year. The SEMA show is an excellent place to see some of this stuff. And unfortunately, you really can't go unless you're a media or press like myself or you work in the business. Because it's kind of like a business show for vendors and people that sell the stuff and all that sort of stuff. But, you know, every now and then you can maybe find some attendees or exhibitors that,

you know, will give you a pass or something like that. But you can definitely go online and hit pound SEMA. Search for that on Twitter. Search for that on Facebook. You know, all the different social media outlets that are out there. And you're going to see some of the really cool stuff going out. You'll be seeing us talking about SEMA throughout the week and kind of profiling some of the really cool stuff from the show, and you're going to see these amazing, cool car builds.

And I got to tell you, a lot of booth babes say what you want about booth babes. Cars, babes, money, everyone likes those. They all kind of go together So there's going to be some booth babes there There's going to be some wonderful cars And you're going to see some really cool car products Of course things that you can use to customize your vehicles Make your cars safer, better

Make them louder, noisier, faster More horsepower All the different customization things That you can possibly do You can do at the SEMA show. So there's going to be over, let's see, 70,000 qualified buyers go to the SEMA show and 3,600 global media attend.

I'm one of those folks. And there's going to be all sorts of different highlights. You can go to the website atamashow.com and they literally take over all of Las Vegas. Look at this. If you're familiar with Las Vegas and its convention halls, there's the North Hall, the Central Hall, the Southern Hall Upper, the Southern Hall Lower, the Performance Pavilion where you can see everything

going around and everything else. They do big cruises and stuff and you can see like just everything. It is freaking crazy. They'll have design awards. They'll award finalists for different, uh, voters selected vehicles that represent the best business opportunities for the aftermarket,

uh, categories, car, truck, four by four SUV, sport compact and power sports vehicles. Oh my gosh. Uh,

they're going to give away SEMA industry awards. Uh, and they have a huge banquet that they do for that. Uh, and, uh, yeah, it's just gonna be freaking crazy. So if you get a chance, check that out. If you are in Las Vegas, sometimes you can drive by the SEMA show and sometimes they have cars running around outside. Sometimes they have cars parked out on the convention center lawns. At least they did in the old days. I don't know if they've moved those inside, but, uh But it always was kind of a thing where if you couldn't go to SEMA,

you could at least go kind of wander around the outside of SEMA, and you could see all these cars going around, all these cool things. You're going to see a lot of vehicle builders, a lot of aftermarket stuff. It's just a huge amount of craziness that they're going to take and put at SEMA. So if you get a chance, check that out. If you don't get a chance to go to the show or you don't have the ability to be an industry person, best thing to do is to take and watch online. Like I said, just search for Pounds SEMA and you're going to see all the really cool stuff

that SEMA offers and everything they do. And yeah, there's going to be some other interesting stuff that's going to be kind of cool. SEMA announced some of the winners of some of the car makers. Let me see if I can pull that up here for us because it looks like I didn't have it readily available. But there's already some announcements coming out from SEMA of some of the different vehicle unveils and different things along those lines, what they're doing, et cetera, et cetera. SEMA announced the vehicles of their year. Now, this is the vehicles that they feel are pretty awesome in 2019.

And here's the rundown. What do you think? Maybe is your favorite car on the list? I don't know. There is. Let's see, according to them, the SEMA show exhibitors voted on the vehicles that represent the best business opportunities for the aftermarket in five categories. The announcement was made at the SEMA vehicle reveal Monday, November 4th.

And let's see, number one, SEMA car of the year, the Ford Mustang. Well, there you go. People love Ford Mustangs. They love customizing them. They love doing all sorts of cool stuff with them. My nephew just bought a Ford Mustang. He loves Ford Mustangs. Good for him. There is the SEMA truck of the year, the Chevy Silverado. I feel like I'm doing auto commercials. So there you go. Chevrolet. People love customizing those vehicles the silverado that's a truck by the way for those of you who don't know that silverado has been a brand name well not a brand name but a model name of chevy for for like five billion years for as long as i

ever known them to be around uh the four by four suv of the year is a jeep wrangler people love customizing those and a ton of aftermarket vendors for those the sema sport SUV of the year is a Jeep Wrangler. People love customizing those and a ton of aftermarket vendors for those. The SEMA Sport Compact of the year is the Audi RS3. And the SEMA Power Sports vehicle of the year is the Polaris RZR. That thing is a crazy machine. One of my friends has one that owns a really cool apparel company called Scotty Vest. And he had one customized it, and it was pretty darn cool, man.

It was very cool. So Audi RS3, that's a great vehicle, but compact, hmm, that's kind of interesting. Well, there you go. And this is, keep in mind, this is all about the aftermarket and aftermarket products and what cars are good and probably most popular with people that buy aftermarket products and all that good stuff. One of the boosts that we're showcasing early on from the SEMA show, and this is a company you probably always have been around and everything else. Have you ever driven down the road and you'll see like a Subaru or something,

and it's got like one of those boxes on the top that's kind of aerodynamic, looks really good and all that stuff. Most likely it was a Manabo. And Manabo is basically, they make these boxes that you can put on top of your car and a whole mess of other accessories we'll get into. And you've probably seen them. They're just these sleek looking kind of elongated shapes. Sometimes things that go on ski racks on top of your car, they also make different racks and things along those lines. They make a ton of different products, roof and interior bike racks, rear bike racks, tow hook bike carriers. They make roof luggage racks, roof trunks, roof bars with cars with rails, cars without rails, ski, magnetic ski

carrier, ski rack for roof bars. They basically, anything you're putting on your roof or on the back of your car for all these different outdoor accessories you can go enjoy and everything else, they make this stuff. And you've probably seen them. They're like a name brand of all this stuff. Water sports, bike carrier in your garage, different accessories for bicycle racks and more. These guys are a huge Europe brand. They're known as one of the best brands in Europe in auto accessories for fun and leisure. And they just make all these different categories of different ways that you can attach stuff to the top of your car, which I love it because that way you're not filling the car up

with a bunch of crap and you can put it on top of your car. And then you've got more room to put people and more fun in your car. They call some of these different things. They make professional ski carriers. So if you're someone who doesn't want their skis wrecked, you can put them on top of your car and rock and roll. Different roof bars. I believe they pronounce this a Bali package. Where it's basically an encased cover across the top of the car, and you can put your stuff in it and all that good stuff.

They even have professional roof baskets, bike racks, so you can mount those. You can either mount those at the top of your car or you can mount them behind your car. You'll see people do that. They'll always have this bike sticking on top of their car. Basically, it just makes it so you can take all this cool fun stuff with you and go enjoy it and all that good Stuff so lots of brands you can see there You can go to Manaba's website at Manaba accessories calm, and then I believe also their website Manaba car

accessories calm Is this site you want to take and go to. It looks like it's the same. There's a U.S. site, and then there's an Italian site. So if you're into the Italian stuff, you can do that as well. And I believe monaboamerica.com is their site as well. They've got a lot of different sites. These guys are international. They're huge in Europe and very popular.

They do tons of research, building, and solutions for things. And you're going to see all the wonderful things they're launching at SEMA. They're profiling. They're going to be talking about the Manabo Fiera there. So check that out as well. These guys just really are the name brand and one of the best known name brands in Europe for car accessories. And you've probably seen them anytime you've seen a car roof sort of attachment, probably most of the time for people that have really good products that they want to have secured and go have fun. Anytime you see someone having fun, they're probably doing that. And what's cool is they make them for all sorts of different makes and models of cars. So they're going to be at SEMA. So SEMA is going to be pretty darn awesome. It's going to be wild as all get out. You're going to see a lot of different things going on. Big industry awards banquet they hold.

It's going to be on Thursday. And it's just going to be crazy, cars and crazy. So like I say, even if you can't get into the show, I would wander down if I was in Las Vegas and just go see some of the shows, driving around, circling around the thing. There's different parts of the show you can kind of watch on or see or look at and stuff.

You're going to see some really cool cars if you're a car fan at the SEMA show. And I highly recommend it. It's definitely awesome.
