Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi folks, this is Voss here from thechrisvossshow.com. Hey, coming to you with another great podcast. We have been doing interviews at Infocom 2019 in Orlando, Florida, and we're going to be interviewing another CEO, so you can learn a lot of things from these wonderful folks that have been brilliant in their careers. We're going to be interviewing the CEO, Christopher Pelzar of Sproylink. They're distributing Sproylink through their company, ATS-Pro.com. You can check that out. Anyway, let's get into the show and see what they're doing
Starting point is 00:00:34 down there at InfoComm 2019. All right, so Chris, welcome to the show. And you guys are down there at Infocom 2019. How's it going? It's going really well. I'm really happy. We're launching a new product line as a distributor. ATS Pro is the distribution company.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Spurlink is the product name. And we're on booth 466 at Infocom. It's a very well-attended show. And we couldn't be happier with the reactions so far. Awesome, Sauce. So you guys are at booth 466. You guys can see him if you're at Infocom 2019. If people are listening in and they're not at Infocom, where can they find you guys on the interwebs?
Starting point is 00:01:20 They can go to www.ats-pro.com. Awesome. So you guys are there holding your booth. What's there to see and all that good stuff you guys are showcasing? Yeah, so let me go into a little bit about how ATS Pro came about. ATS Pro is a division of our parent group, which is called Activate the Space. I started Activate the Space about 13 years ago. And Activate the Space is one of the preeminent LED design build companies in the United States.
Starting point is 00:01:53 We've built several hundred LED walls. We have a high level of expertise in the LED area. So we do our processing, media, high-end, everything else. So we are constantly searching the world for different unique products that could fit the projects that we do. We came upon Scrolling for some very specific reasons. And we liked the product line so well that we decided to set up
Starting point is 00:02:14 a wholesale division which we called ATS Pro. That's a bit of a history. Nice! Scrolling Pride. Yeah. And by the way, myself and our group and our business partners and things like that, we have a lot of experience in the wholesale distribution business. We came from that 20 years ago, so it's a little bit of a homecoming for us.
Starting point is 00:02:34 We're a lot of old friends and people that we know. So the Scrum League line is a line of video processing systems, most of which are LED walls in particular. And what drew us to the line was the fact that they were very heavily mastering 4K 60Hz outputs and inputs. That's a very important specification for LED walls. LED walls are getting higher in resolution as the pixel pitches get smaller. So they're pushing the 4K envelope and beyond, quite frankly. And when we do that, you need to see a 60-hertz signal,
Starting point is 00:03:09 and very few manufacturers and companies that are in this space handle 60 hertz. 60 hertz is a higher refresh rate. LED walls just like it better. They look better. They're brighter. They're sharper. The images come out looking a lot better. So over the years, we've seen lots of walls done at 4K 30 hertz.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Those didn't look as good as they needed to look. So we were constantly looking for this. We found products that had 4K inputs, but they didn't have 4K output, things like that. So Sprawling is actually a very complete line. We had several products that have that, as well as products that address 1920x1080 or 1080p format. They've added features that are very much needed for most integrations.
Starting point is 00:03:50 So they have multiple inputs that can allow for picture-in-picture operations. So in a corporate environment, you may have a large-scale screen-up, but you may want to bring in a live feed from a teleconference, or you may want to bring in a TV feed or some teleconference, or you might bring a TV feed or some other video feed. We said there were PowerPoint feeds. With the scrolling product, we can put a picture-in-picture window up there and call it up for any size, any scale that we want, and lay it over. Let's say, for instance, the larger LED wall.
Starting point is 00:04:18 So it's a pretty complete product. It works with pretty much everybody's LED products that are out there in the market, and it's extremely cost effective compared to most of the products on the market now. And the response so far has been tremendously strong. We have several projects underway. There will be more coming
Starting point is 00:04:36 in large amounts. It's a very, very big install using a lot of Australian products. And we're well in position. Plus, ATS Pro has probably got the best technical staff of any video processing company on the market right now. All of our guys are highly experienced in integration, LED products, as well as the scroll-like line and all the competitive lines that are out there.
Starting point is 00:04:57 So we're a pretty honest broker at saying what we can do, what we can't do, and why they should be choosing our products maybe over someone else's. Awesome sauce. Awesome sauce. And you guys have been doing this a long time. What sort of clients do you work with? What are some of your main core people that you're targeting?
Starting point is 00:05:18 Well, look, ATX Pro is a wholesale division, so we have a series of rep firms that represent the product line, and each of the regions we States. And they're selling to AV integrators all over the country. So as those projects come up, they do that. Activate for Space, which was a design-build company, our clients range from Under Armour to Nike to Foot Locker to Billabong. There's lots of retail clients. It was a very, very small niche. However, we did hundreds and hundreds of LED walls. That's where very, very small niche. However, we did hundreds and hundreds of LED walls. That's where we got our primary experience. So the combination of these two companies
Starting point is 00:05:50 is really important because most AV integrators in the business today are new to LED. To us, we're 13, 14 years into it. So we're helping them a lot. We're helping them with their specifications, their wiring diagrams, their setups, their head end, the processing, obviously, to drive the LED walls. And that's been based on the experiences that we've gained from Activate the Space. So from that perspective, we're a really good partner for a lot of these guys that are new at it, because we know the problems they're going to run into. We've probably run into it 100 times in a minute. So we can save them a lot of time and a lot of money. And again, then offer them some of the best
Starting point is 00:06:28 products through the Stronach line that we've found around the world. That's awesome. These new video walls are pretty cool. When we saw a lot of them at CES, all sorts of different panels, you just put them together and you have this giant freaking wall.
Starting point is 00:06:44 And I'd love to have one of those for my house for gaming and stuff like that. Can I get one of those installed for my house for my video gaming? Well, yeah. You know, I've only ever done one project for someone's home. And it's the only one I'll ever do for someone's home. But it was for Sylvester Stallone. It was for Sylvester Stallone. It was for Sylvester Stallone Rocky. He built a large
Starting point is 00:07:07 wall for us. He called us up. He was actually, we had built a wall at Four Seasons in New York and he was staying there. And he asked the bartender, hey, who did that for you? So the guy gave him our card. He called up and I didn't personally believe it was him.
Starting point is 00:07:23 But it was him. And he said, yeah, I want to put one of these in my basement and I said okay what size and he gave me the size and I said that's a pretty damn big basement he goes yeah it's a big basement
Starting point is 00:07:41 and sure enough it was a big basement I don't know too many people that have a basement with 15 foot ceilings that's pretty freaking amazing I guess he wanted to watch I guess he wanted
Starting point is 00:07:53 do movies come out well on the wall like that in your home does that like sure you know he has a whole
Starting point is 00:07:59 media room this is actually not in the media room but he has a whole media room and he's got a lot of different things he likes to do.
Starting point is 00:08:05 He even puts artwork up there. Oh, wow. The artist himself. Yeah, I put it. He'll put out a stack of image artwork. But he watches old movies. He watches his movies. He watches television, sports, and things like that.
Starting point is 00:08:18 So it was actually a great application. It was a lot of fun to do. He's a terrific guy, awesome guy. Wow. And we had a lot of fun to do. He's a terrific guy, awesome guy. Wow. We had a lot of fun doing it, but we don't generally focus on home systems. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:08:34 So that's not a market that we're actually seeking. Yeah, it's probably not a huge market, but that is a great story. Yeah, true story. It is what it is. That's awesome. It's funny. I joke with people. I'm like, well, I'm talking to Rocky.
Starting point is 00:08:48 I get a kick out of it. And he knows I get a kick out of it, too. It's really more fun. People are like, really? That's awesome, man.
Starting point is 00:08:56 That is awesome. So anything more we need to know about what you guys are doing in the show, coming down to the booth, what you guys are displaying there, et cetera, et cetera. Well, we'd love people to check us out at ATSPro.com. Like I said, when you talk to us,
Starting point is 00:09:10 we're a highly, highly level of expertise in LED walls. So, as a result of that, we know everything from the media systems that drive them to the processing gear to the video processing gear that we have with SproLink. SproLink's a great product line. And it's a great product line.
Starting point is 00:09:26 And it's a young company. They're out of Xiaomin, China. But the fact that they're a young company is great because they only want to work with the newest, latest technologies. They don't have a lot of legacy that they have to deal with, which is kind of an inhibitor to other competitors in the product. So they started off fresh and new with a lot of newer technologies. I think they're far ahead of many of the competitors that are in the market, and there aren't really that many.
Starting point is 00:09:48 So we think that that's going to be a tremendous success going forward, and we're going to create more profit for the integrators, better systems for the end users, and everybody then gets to have nice, comfortable weekends and sip a pina colada and be done. There you go. That's really kind of the goal of this whole thing.
Starting point is 00:10:07 We're bringing, like I said, our expertise to play with a very advanced product line that's extremely cost effective and we're enabling more people to put up more LED walls. Awesome sauce. So they're going to be checking you out. It's booth 466
Starting point is 00:10:24 466 466 at IFOCOM 2019 in Orlando, Florida. And if you're not there, be sure to check out their website at aps-pro.com Sounds good. Thanks for coming on, Chris. We certainly appreciate it. We'll look forward to
